Gui Li was not able to remain handsome for more than three seconds.
Ming Shu struck first, followed by Feng Bei. He only managed the touch the Five Treasures Bible for a moment before it was snatched back by the two of them.
Gui Li: "…" You all don't want it, right? Why are you snatching it from me!
Everyone else: "…" These two idiots are fighting again. Martial arts world's leader, send someone to catch them!
Gui Li was quite famous, but he was not from the mainland. He was a foreigner. From what people said, his face was a result of him practicing some techniques.
For the sake of the Five Treasures Bible, he came all the way here. However, he didn't manage to snatch it and even lost his face.
Gui Li had been following Ming Shu and Feng Bei for a few days already. However, he was always beaten up by them. He had already started to suspect himself. His men always told him that he was invincible and he would be able to reign over the mainland soon. Why did he feel that he was being lied to?

Ming Shu was very irritated by him. He would interrupt her every time she was eating and in the end, Ming Shu tied him up and threw him to a merchant's team. She asked the merchants to send him back to his hometown.
However, even without Gui Li, there were still other people eyeing the Five Treasures Bible.
In a fit of anger, Feng Bei brought Ming Shu back to the Five Treasures Immortal Clan.
He wouldn't go out at all. Is that okay?
The Five Treasures Immortal Clan had high expectations for this leader's wife. They urged him every day to hurry up and have a little leader with their leader.
Feng Bei maintained his cold face.
However, his heart was cursing away.
He wanted to have a child, but their leader was not cooperating. How could he have a child by himself? He was not a hermaphrodite.

Hence, the protector was caught before he could run any further.
The protector glared at the disciples.
The disciples laughed stupidly and rushed off.
The protector made a serious face and tried to argue logically with Ming Shu. "Leader, you are already able to look after the clan yourself. I should be able to have my own life too."
"Protector."
The protector looked at the lady that was smiling brightly in front of him and swallowed. "Leader."
Ming Shu said softly, "I already asked them to propose a marriage with her. The lady has agreed to marry into the Five Treasures Immortal Clan. The wedding will be on the same day as mine. What do you think of this plan?"
The protector: "…"
The leader was unreasonable.
This bad idea was not invented by Ming Shu. It was given by the disciples. Ming Shu only asked them one thing. If the protector was gone, who would do all the work?
The disciples immediately carried the dowry and walked down to propose to the lady. Using their actual words—

A bunch of people suddenly ran out behind him. Feng Bei ran off using his qinggong.
The disciples chased him fervently. This was the first time Feng Bei felt that these people's qinggong… was actually really good!

Mateo and I collaborated into forming the article concerning the arranged marriage of Emma and Rex de la Rama, but this time, it is in the perspective of an economist and how this affects the economy and the wealth that circulates. As the time passes by, the boss's secretary came through the office and says "Everyone! Come, hear this!"

She pointed at the wide flat screen television installed near the boss's private office. She turned up the volume of the TV. Every employee flocked near the television to hear the breaking news. It appears that the reporter is at St. Patrick's Medical Center giving out news that shocks the masses.

"Rex de la Rama, the son and heir of the Rade Real Estates, is found dead here at St. Patrick's Medical Center. According to preliminary investigations, it would appear that he is murdered through a stab of a knife through the heart, through the stomach, and a slit on the throat. The murder is said to have taken place in the night. No eyewitness has come to reveal what truly happened and the motives behind the murder.

"Rex de la Rama is the only heir to the Rade Real Estates. The CEO has refused to give his statement on the issue and asked for privacy to privately mourn the scandalous murder that has taken place. It would appear that it is not robbery since none of the victim's belongings was taken away. The police have yet to give an answer and explain the event that happened."

The murmurs of every journalist echo throughout the room due to the shock of the young heir's death. I, for one, remained cool and collected. In the short amount of time I talked with him, I felt that he was too nice to be murdered. What could have happened? Why would anyone kill him?

Suddenly, the boss joined us and we paved way for the announcement he has to make.

"Everyone that has no story to write or anything to do, find anything that you can and write a story about this!" the boss exclaims. "Don't waste time! Go!"

And, maybe half a dozen of journalists went out of the room to begin their new story. Much to our surprise, the boss beckoned Mateo and me to join the boss in his office.

"Rosanna, Mateo, I want you to investigate on this right after you finish the story you are working on," he says. "I know those fools won't find anything new and worthwhile. You have published golden stories that made our papers sell. You need to do something better and investigate on this yourselves. Be an investigative journalist if you must, but find the answer before anyone does. If you can, find the answer before the police do. Do you understand?"

"Sir, what makes you think that we are able to investigate this matter ourselves?" I ask.

"Well, both of you have connections to the oligarchs," the boss says. "The disgraced heir and the self-made confidante would play the perfect part of fitting through the eye of the needle. I know you can do it but finish your little story. Or, you could just hand it over to an editor."

We have no choice. We have to do as the boss wishes. Still, I am stunned. It turns out that Emma could be free without having to wait for her death. It was shocking that though it is too late, Emma is free. She could have been jumping for joy since her betrothed is now dead. Now, she can be with her secret lover and continue their foolish love. Alas, my foolish sister, why must she stay that way?

"I am no investigative journalist, Rose, but how will we do this again?" Mateo asks as we walk out of the office.

"I absolutely know nothing as well," I say. "But anyway, I am not doing this today. I have to visit Emma at the hospital. Eloisa has been nagging me like crazy to visit Emma again. Anyway, tell me if anything happens."

I visited Emma at the hospital. Eloisa and I never meet that much anymore. I do not know what she has been up to. She did, however, promise that she will be sober until we find Emma's beloved man and bury her peacefully. As I open the door, I see Eloisa sitting beside Emma as they read a passage at the bible. I can see that they are discussing the fall of King Saul and his son Jonathan that became a friend to the next king, David.

I bought a fruit basket for her. I put it on the dining table inside her room and she manages o beam a smile at me. Somehow, I can see that she is not mad for the story I wrote. In fact, having sober Eloisa discuss to her passages of the Bible, she feels as if she is still that young foolish pianist frolicking beneath the summer sun.

"Emma, how are you?" I ask as I take a seat and sit beside her.

"A little better," she says. "This world is not for me. I want to join Our Lord in heaven soon. I am just preparing myself until the Lord takes me and saves me from this living hell."

I feel speechless. I felt a pang of guilt that I rose through my ranks by making her life into a news story. I wanted to apologize but the words would not come out of my mouth. I cannot find the proper words to say.

"I. . . regret having to write that. . . the story," I stammer. "I was forced to do so. I almost had to write a story about your illness but I begged the boss not to do that since it would scramble your father's company if they know that they are uncertain where the wealth will go if the heir were to die."

Still, she manages to smile faintly. She puts the bible on her side table as if I have captured her attention on some serious matter. I can tell that she wants to talk about this. She is interested in explaining me something.

"Rose, I am not my father's heir," she says. "He named me his heir because all the world knows that I am his only child in his marriage with my mother. Someone out there has a stronger claim to the company. He might be my father's bastard, but that bastard child has the greatest claim as he is my father's first child. I have no claim, Rose. I am not his child."

I am intrigued by her words. How is she not her father's child? She is her father's child in every possible way I can see. She is cunning, manipulative, and sly if she chooses to show it and do it. How can she not be her father's child?

"Emma, I'm shocked," I say astoundingly. "How can you say that?"

"My fool of a mother committed adultery with another man," she says bitterly. "One says it was out of the spirits of alcohol and one says it was pure adultery and lust. God forgive them both. Now, I say this to you right now, Rose, I am not my father's heir. My father does not want to humiliate himself that is why he has not named his bastard as his next heir. Now, he wanted to sell his shares to the Rade Real Estate, but it went horribly wrong when their only heir died."

"Emma. . . I – "

"Oh, don't bother yourself, Rose," she says. "Eloisa knew a long time ago. I'm surprised that you only knew this right now."

I turned to face Eloisa and her grave face confirms the truth. She nodded as if she is speaking on behalf of Emma. So, this is what has become of us. We are all paupers without prospects. Eloisa is an illegitimate child made through the annulment of her parents' marriage thus none of her parents would name her as the heir to the fortunes that each of her parents possesses. Emma is an heiress with no future seeing that a cure is bleak and a bastard only acknowledged as the daughter of a CEO. I have no prospects as I am born to paupers and I made myself rise through the world by perseverance. So, Eloisa is indeed right.

Being part of the elite is no cupcakes and rainbows. Life is not easy for them. The price of wealth is beneath them. It is as if the world is like a wheel that you will sometimes go up and go down. Your fortunes may change and it will come when you least expect it. As I have read in one of my books, the wheel of fortune or fortune's wheel can throw you up and bring you down. You cannot do anything to stop it. All you can do is ride the wheel and treat prosperity and poverty indifferently.

"You have the greatest prospect in all of us, Rose," Emma says weakly. "You made yourself into the world and your fate rests in your hands. As for us, we had to ride through changes. You cannot have everything in this world. Please, leave me now to rest. I need to rest."

Eloisa and I hesitantly nodded and we went out of the door without a word. As we lock the door, Eloisa gives a look at me.

"So, what did you find?" she asks me.

"What?" I ask.

"Oh, come on, Rose," she says. "I thought it was an unspoken agreement that I am to gather information from Emma and you will work your way on the outside world."

"Oh, really?" I say. "Finding a man can't be that hard."

"No, but finding the true heir will be harder," she says in contrast. "You may not know it, but her sister craves the fortunes that she is supposed to inherit. We need to find the heir and suggest it to the CEO before anything goes wrong."

"Eloisa, this is not my job!" I exclaim. "I have another mystery to solve and finding the heir is not my job. I need to cover a story on the death of Rex de la Rama, Emma's betrothed."

"Oh, surely the things going on right now are tied with Emma," she says. "His father, Reginald de la Rama, attempted to sue Emma's father for failing to give his promise. Now, as a result, Rex was supposed to take a part of the RSC's shares for their own. If Rex were supposed to take a share, then the company would be divided. The wealth is subtracted and there is a threat to control. His death has got something to do with that. That is your story, Rose. Write it and publish it for all I care, but the wealth is far more important. Emma's family is influential in both the government and the economy. If that company were to go down without an heir, this would affect the economy. Think thoroughly, Rose."

"I must solve the murder of Rex before I solve another," I say steadily.

"Do it, but I say this to you right now. This mystery ties with another and another. It is a never-ending loop like your tangled earphones in your bag."

Lies, Betrayals, Wishes, Deceits, Murders, Wealth . . . such many things for an elite to have.

STUDY GOD'S WORD

As we continue to study the Book of Acts, we follow Paul into chapter 17 where he engaged with all kinds of people that he encounters in his travels. The first place that Paul often went to in different cities was the synagogue. Here in Thessalonica, he gives an account of the Messiah, the promised deliverer of the Jews. Paul refers to the Old Testament to create a 'dialegomai'(Greek) or dialogue from the Scriptures. He explains that the Jesus Christ had to suffer & rise again, as written 


in Isaiah 53:5 New International Version (NIV) says

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,

& in Psalm 16:10-11 New International Version (NIV) says
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
    nor will you let your faithful[a] one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
    you will fill me with joy in your presence,
    with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Obviously, Paul studied Scriptures & knew what it says about the promised Messiah. Paul related ancient prophesy from Scripture to the historical event of Jesus death on the cross & His resurrection. Paul proclaimed Jesus with boldness & trusted the Lord for the outcome. Indeed, Paul would preach in the synagogue & would get beaten up after, yet he would do the same thing in the next city they would go to. He was not discouraged even if he faced opposition. He knew what his calling was, to preach the good news first to the Jews & then to the Gentiles. His calling was sure & getting beaten up & opposed to his face did not stop him from continuing on his mission. When you have an impact, you will have an uproar. In the things you are doing for God, are you experiencing an "uproar"? Doing God's work  might mean facing hostility from the very people you are trying to reach out to.

APPLY GOD'S WORD 

We must also check our eagerness in approaching God's word. Do you find the Bible bland & boring? Are you excited to encounter God in His word?

Though the Bible does not promise a life without problems it is a deep source which God uses to guide you in making wise decisions as you face life's difficulties & challenges. Apply what you learn from the Bible in your life even before you attempt to share it with others!

TEACH GOD'S WORD  

The next group of people that Paul engages within Acts 17, were the Bereans who were more open to Paul's teaching compared to the Thessalonians. In matters of discernment, we must be like the Jews in Berea who not only studied the Scriptures but also used this to examine what was being preached to them. In listening to preachers, we must have an unbiased eye & be opened to the truth that a preacher teaches but always go back to Scripture & check for ourselves what we heard from the preacher against what the Bible says. Is this how we view the speakers we encounter? With an unbiased eye but a discerning spirit? We need to be careful because there are many false teachers & many more will arise. Like Paul, are you willing to take a beating for something you believe in? It is so hard to teach what you do not believe in, so make sure that you know why you believe what you believe & teach. One of the greatest hindrances to God using you to teach others about the Bible is your unwillingness to apply God's word. Have a self-check, is your Bible knowledge making you arrogant? Beware that it does not, as

As one grows deeper in the knowledge of Christ & the Bible, one should be more understanding, loving & humble. Is this true for you? The Thessalonians did not accept Paul's teaching the first time & yet even with the initial resistance, a church was established in Thessalonica. Paul's commitment to teach God's word no matter the personal consequence to him, eventually bore much fruit. The Thessalonians became an example of how lives surrendered to Jesus can become a vibrant church. We too can be an example of how a surrendered life that studies, applies & teaches the Bible can be transformed because of Jesus Christ.

Dear Z and A,
I know you two have a lot on your plate. But I hope you find time to study this. I offered L to send him some of my sermon notes so that he can peruse it as it seems that giving him this information would be extremely beneficial for the future. But he rejected it.
He said that he would rather listen to me speak about it personally. Apparently, he wants to believe in it and given his intellectual bias, he may turn deaf ears to the lessons in my notes. He wanted to not only know of what I know but have a chance in believing and he hopes that listening to me would do far more benefit than just reading some letters. I understand his intentions. The best way to learn about something is to believe in it. So he suggested having a personal meeting. I'm wanted to conduct a Bible study but with the way things are now, I guess it will have to wait.
Z, I hope our previous discussions from so long ago, (it feels like it's been another lifetime, right?) have somehow created a foundation of belief. Perhaps what had happened to you is one of the miracles that the Almighty allowed. I firmly believe this. So I am hoping this letter would allow you to better understand what actions to take and that you could pass this information along to anyone who you think could help in this. You have been taking the right steps and I guess it would be attributed to our talks from long ago.
Anyway, here is the draft of a conference message I've prepared to give on one of our upcoming Bible Conferences. Perhaps this may give you some insight on what to do with your life and how you can be of benefit to the lives of others.
Also, that kid from Psalms 1 might also benefit from reading this. I have a feeling that he wouldn't want to attend a Bible study hosted by me because of our 'conflicting' methods.

A Study on Typology (I will be discussing more of this during the Bible Study and explain the key aspects in detail. Treat this study as a primer for the things to be discussed soon.)
Prophecy has always been something that people found intriguing and mystifying.
The Bible contains the most prophecies that have been accurately fulfilled in human history.
For example, the prophecy on Tyre in Ezekiel 26…
In that Prophecy, several prophetic elements that seem extremely unlikely to be fulfilled if we apply the science of probability. For the sake of time, I will only go over several key aspects of the Prophecies and will not deal with any other prophecies made against Tyre on other verses in the Bible.
I have selected five of the 'most intriguing' prophecies that were fulfilled right down to the dot and remind you, that the chapter consists of more elements that have been fulfilled.
As a background, Tyre as a city is composed of two parts. One city in the mainland, called 'Ushu' or Old Tyre, and another city built on a small island about half a mile away from the shore of Old Tyre. This city on the small island is commonly known as Tyre.
In Ezekiel 26, Tyre was supposed to be:
1.       Attacked by Nebuchadnezzar (v. 7)
2.       Attacked by "many nations" (v.3)
3.       The stone and timbers of this city would be thrown in the sea (v.12)
4.       Will be scrapped like a bare rock (v.4)
5.       The Ocean depths will rise over it (v.19)
A popular opinion regarding prophecies is that any prophecy may eventually be fulfilled as time pass by as the things that have been written may be fulfilled by chance. If Chapter 26 of Ezekiel talks about any city, with any conqueror, that is indeed true but this chapter exclusively talks about the city of Tyre.
This prophecy is not talking of any city. No, it's not the city of New Birth Forth or the City of World's Helm. It's taking about the city of Tyre.
And this city is to be attacked by Nebuchadnezzar. Not by Hitler, not by the Fire Nation, not by Team Rocket, but by Nebuchadnezzar. A specific person living in a specific time. And this city would also be attacked by many nations, its stone and timbers would be thrown in the sea and the city will be scrapped like a bare rock and that the Ocean will somehow rise over the city itself. It's interesting how specific it is.
Now, historically, the first aspect was easily fulfilled.
About a decade after the prophecy was believed to be written, Nebuchadnezzar attacked the city and we have evidence to support this historic fact. But Nebuchadnezzar was only able to conquer Old Tyre as the other city on the small island was naturally protected by the sea and Tyre had an impressive fleet of ships.
So none of the other prophecies were fulfilled. Numbers two to five on our prophecy list were not fulfilled during this attack.
Should we now mock the Bible for its inaccuracy?
Be aware, that the remaining clauses of this prophecy are almost impossible to fulfill.
Why would the city be attacked and someone would be so bored as to take the stones and timbers from the wrecked city and throw it on the ocean? Why would they do that to the point of scrapping the ruins of the city to a point that what remains will look like a bare rock? And how will the ocean rise over it?
The fulfillment of the other aspects of the prophecy occurred nearly 200 years later.
The Prophecy was written sometime on 587-586 BC, Nebuchadnezzar attacked it on 573BC, but the fulfillment of prophecy points numbers 2-5 would be on 332BC when a man who conquered nations led an army consisting of armies coming from different nations and attacked the very city of Tyre.
We know this man to be "Alexander the Great."
We know Alexander the Great would force another nation to submit and aid him in his conquest so many nations could easily be fulfilled at this point.
He led his armies and attacked Tyre, conquering Old Tyre once more. But this wasn't enough.
Tyre was arrogant and mocked Alexander for failing once more as the settlers have retreated to their city-island protected by their vast fleet of ships. Seeing as how Tyre remained safe like a turtle and having the sea as a natural barrier with a fleet of ships that even Alexander the Great could not easily destroy, Alexander and his armies came up with an ingenious plan.
A great task of building a man-made bridge from the coast of Old Tyre to New Tyre started. Alexander ordered his men to take the ruins of Old Tyre, throw it to the sea to build a bridge to which they can use to attack the city of Tyre.
In this, Prophecy points numbers 2-4 have been fulfilled. The prophecies which seem almost impossible actually happened.
Many nations came, attacked Tyre, took the ruins of the city and threw it to the ocean to make a small bridge, scrapping Old Tyre like a rock.
But what about number 5?
Well, because of the man-made bridge which supported and allowed Alexander to send his armies to attack Tyre, the topography of the island changed making the bridge leading to Tyre into a peninsula which exists to this day. Because of this change which led to a massive geographic change on the area, the location of the Old Tyre was eventually buried by sand and water ultimately, burying the location of Old Tyre underwater forever.
God sent Nebuchadnezzar and later fulfilled it some 200 years later in the person of Alexander the Great. But the last bit of prophecy would be fulfilled about a thousand years later as the coastline of Tyre changed because of the man-made bridge of Alexander.
Now you calculate the odds of this prophecy being fulfilled? What other nation, since 587 BC, was named Tyre, attacked by a Nebuchadnezzar and later by many nations, and apparently, the entire city structure is thrown to the sea, scraped like bare rock, and later sinks to the ocean? What are the odds of that happening? And remember, I haven't listed ALL the prophecies that Tyre is supposed to fulfill!
Now this may come as an intriguing historical study, but the reason I'm discussing Tyre is to formally challenge whether or not this Prophecy would have only ONE fulfillment or will it be fulfilled again? What if, the verses in the Bible may be foreshadowing something that will happen in the future.
Now, let me clarify, I honestly believe that in Ezekiel 26, most of the prophecies written there have already been fulfilled. What I'm saying, is that we open our exegesis to the possibility that it could be fulfilled again!
How would something that had literally happened be fulfilled again? To argue, I would like to point you to the study of Eschatology, or the interpretation of the End of Times. We call it the Apocalypse, the Last Days and so on. Many camps and theological schools all have different opinions and interpretations as to their fulfillment. And throughout the course of history, there have been several interpretations which the people of that time were sure of because it made sense.
During the time of Apostolic era, if you read the Book of Revelation, you would say, the anti-Christ is Rome.
Hundreds of years later, Martin Luther made the same conclusion during the Reformation period. Their study of the Word led to this conclusion.
Back in World War 2, everyone believed that the Anti-Christ was Hitler. The Jews who suffered so much would certainly think so as well.
During World War 3, everyone then blamed Graden Pouterfisx to be the Anti-Christ as it led to the further destruction of Israel.
Right now, because of the Australian Avarice, many even say that Australia is the Anti-Christ.
And for the Australian natives of today, they would say, Harker or that gamer-turned-terrorist Lowengren is the Anti-Christ. (Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised.)
Others believe, that it's the World Governing Powers, and still some point to that miraculous E-Sport Gamer, Seeker Carlean to be the Anti-Christ as he must have sold his soul to the devil to be that good in Piercing! (Z, as you noticed, I like to add current events like this as a sermon illustrations to draw attention to the younger audience. It really makes most gamers listen to my sermon if I mention famous e-sport players.)
And quite honestly, except those saying its Seeker, the rest had a valid reason to claim that this was the Anti-Christ as they displayed a shocking level of depravity, wickedness, and immorality.
Are we to assume that they were all wrong? Perhaps… Or maybe perhaps from Hitler, all the way to the Australian Avarice, they have been "Types" or signs that will simply point us to a Final Anti-Christ. Perhaps, God, in order to constantly remind us that His Word is True and indeed miraculous, has destined history, as written in the Bible to have several fulfillments, many of which are partial fulfillments or foreshadowing to a final fulfillment?
And it is in this vein, that we find ourselves in the study of Typology.
Typology is the study of signs, symbols and the interpretation of Types.
Let me take a positive example to further cement my case…
You've heard me say several times that I say Samuel in the book of 1 Samuel of a "typology" or a sign that points to Jesus. In many ways, an appropriate approach would be to read 1 Samuel with the assumption that Samuel foreshadows Jesus.
If we go to the prophecy in 1 Samuel 2, God got angry at the current High Priest, Eli, and prophesied to Eli that Eli's lineage would-be priest who wouldn't reach old age and that their line would stop serving in the altar. After that, God gave this prophecy in 1 Samuel 2:35,
"I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who will do according to what is in my heart and mind. I will firmly establish his priestly house, and they will minister before my anointed one always."
Now the immediate assumption as to the fulfillment of this prophecy, if we follow that story, is that we would assume it to be fulfilled through the priest to Samuel. Samuel took over when Eli died, he ministered faithfully and replaced the line of Priest that served in Israel.
According to the Bible, we do not have any records of Samuel ever committing sin, and even on his death, he challenged Israel of this, to which Israel responded that they have noted no sin in Samuel's lifetime. If you think David had a magnificent title, "a man after God's own heart," consider Samuel's title. A man who will do according to God's own heart and mind.
But on the other hand, many would challenge that this verse does not refer to Samuel but to Jesus because of the clause that this priest will "minister before God's anointed ones, always." Which basically implies this priestly line will forever serve God. And only Jesus could fulfill this role.
My interpretation and I hope this congregation's interpretation and conviction, would be that this verse was fulfilled in two ways.
Samuel was the initial fulfillment and is a typology to the final fulfillment, which is Jesus.
The Bible has been doing this several times and using a certain Old Testament verse and make it a sign that eventually points to Jesus. In other words, these verses have more than one fulfillment.
A partial fulfillment of the sign in the form of Samuel, a righteous Priest who was impeccable in actions and wisdom, and later the Great High Priest that we have in Jesus.
1 Samuel also introduces David, a typology of Jesus in the areas of being a King.
But of course, this alone could not be supporting evidence for my theory in the study of Typologies. So let's take a look at another interesting and puzzling verse which shows a unique example of a typology.
We go to Hosea 11:1 and find an interesting phrase here that was used by the Gospel writer Matthew.
"Out of Egypt, I called my Son."
This is a strange verse to use because mainly, according to the context of Hosea 11:1, the son here refers to the nation Israel. Why did Matthew later use this verse to mean Jesus? We all stand with the idea that the Holy Scripture is inerrant. So why would Matthew, in the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, use this verse in its wrong context?
My answer is Typology.
Let us first analyze what's going on in Matthew.
Joseph and Mary had escaped from Bethlehem because of Herod. They lived in Egypt and waited for Herod to die. Upon Herod's death, Joseph returns to Israel and so, Matthew summarizes it in verse 15 of chapter 2, And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son."
Matthew quotes Hosea 11:1 and immediately assumes that this is speaking of Jesus when in actuality, the context rules that we so hardly adhere to, dictates that Hosea 11 is talking about the nation Israel!
Typology easily resolves this issue. If we are to assume that Israel has always been a typology of Jesus, a temporary sign and can have more than one fulfillment in the great passage of time, we can then easily accept this verse.
By accepting that Israel in Hosea 11, represents Jesus, we can actually see that in many ways Israel did foreshadow Jesus.
Jesus, like Israel, stays in Egypt and leaves to return to the Promised Land. Jesus, Like Israel, is sent to the wilderness to spend a passage of time connected with the number of 40. Israel spent 40 years wandering in the desert, Jesus spent 40 days in the desert.
The Gospel records that Jesus was sent to the wilderness to be tempted and tried, wasn't this the case for Israel?
And isn't it interesting, that in the famous encounter between Jesus and the Devil in that same wilderness where Israel was tested, Jesus answered the Devil quoting verses from the book of Deuteronomy?
Deuteronomy discusses most of the consequences that Israel suffered because they failed. In this Typology, Jesus acts as the perfect version of Israel. He goes out of Egypt, is tempted by the devil in the wilderness exposing Him to hunger, thirst, and the danger of being killed by wild animals.
In Israel's hunger, they complained to God, and the reluctant response of God was to send Manna from heaven, Satan uses this same strategy and tells Jesus to make stone bread, but Jesus quotes from Deuteronomy saying that man shall not live by bread alone.
Jesus fasted in that 40 days in the desert. The Israelites feasted with unlimited manna and even by sending birds which the Israelites can easily capture and eat. I can go on and on, but if you analyze the remaining challenges that Satan poised to Jesus, we find that the Israelites actually failed on all of these temptations. In fact, I would go as far to say that the temptations Jesus faced and the temptations Israel faced were roughly the same!
But it doesn't stop here, if you've read through the Bible, you will know that the moment Israel finally enters the Promised Land, you'll be reading through the Book of Joshua. And in Hebrew, the name for Joshua is Yeshua, the very same name to which we translate the Name, Jesus!
So Joshua becomes a typology, a foreshadowing that the book of Joshua will also repeat in history. We've already seen hints of that! That scene in Joshua 10 where kings in their retreat hid in caves to flee from Israel. Is this not the same vivid imagery explained in the book of Revelation which will be the scene when Jesus returns?
At this point, I argue, that perhaps in the dogmatic ways of our interpretation of Scripture, we have long set aside the possibility that if the Bible is promised to be the Word of God, Inerrant, relevant and true, then would it not be true for all ages? Is it possible to see this foreshadowing's again and again?
I will not be surprised, ladies and gentlemen, that in the near future, the very events we read in the book of Revelation will become a typology! A sign that we may soon see, in anticipation of the Second Coming!
We have long interpreted the book of Revelation and its various events to have passed! How many writers and Bible teachers have risen up to explain how World War Three fulfilled many of the verses in Revelation.
I'm not saying they're wrong. I'm saying they could be right. But in this sense, that what they explained are but typologies and these signs that may repeat itself unto final fulfillment.
So read the Book of Revelation! Read the book of Joshua! Read the Book of Daniel! Of Zacharias, of the many verses and the many books in the Bible which speaks or alludes to the coming end!
We could all come witness to various typologies of events that will have its ultimate fulfillment when Christ return. As for me, I may sound insane, but with the recent events that have been happening, I am certain now, we will bear witness to many foreshadowing's itself! Make no mistake!
Perhaps, in the coming days, chaos will be revealed. And perhaps, in the coming days, someone will rise up perhaps as another foreshadowing of Jesus who will appear in Power and Might! Perhaps, in the days to come, you will all see the Way!
Let's close in prayer…
(A and Z, I do hope this gives us a roadmap of future actions you have to take. Revisit the stories in the Old Testament. I have a feeling that one of our friends may be anticipating the revisiting and fulfillment of the prophecies in Egypt. It might take some time until the Bible study after all. So the specific plans that I have in mind to make the world believe in God  cannot be explained. For now, read and follow the Word. An alien race invaded the Earth on June 6, 2128. At the midst of this war, many nations allied with the alien threat and the war nearly wiped out the rebelling humans of the planet. At the edge of mankind's survival, the United Nations Army launched its forces to eliminate the immediate stellar threats that loomed over Earth.

General Seeker Carlean, commander and leader of the mission, risked and gave his life to destroy the immediate stellar threat. The battle was won though Earth lay in ruins. Perhaps mankind will live to see a few years of peace before the alien threat returns to wipe out their existence.

At the immediate aftermath of the stellar battle, the fallen Seeker Carlean awakens and finds himself at aged 17, living the peaceful life he lived 16 years before he died.

So begins a new game in the battle for humanity's survival.

So, you guys read about the Freshman girl last one. Well, I got another one for you. This'll take place my Sophomore Year. Coincidence that it's one year after the last girl? No, I don't think so.

To be honest, I knew her Freshman Year. Use to go to bible study, and still do whenever we can. If you put two and two together, she is a Christian, so am I, but I'm not gonna go into detail about it.

Let's go with the Sophomore Year, because that's when I started to like her. It all started around December. Again, coincidence? We didn't hang out like the last one though. Only time we did was during Bible Study and School. She was a Freshman at this time and we could see each other.

I don't remember why I started to like her, but I think it is because of Bible Study. We started to get close, at the time I believed that she liked me too cause of the way she behaved. Let's call her Carolyn, cause of privacy concerns.

Our parents even thought that we liked each other and didn't care if we were dating. So, I worked up the courage to tell her how I feel. I did it on Valentine's Day. I gave her a card telling her how I felt about her. On the front of the card I wrote, For You. Next day that'll bite me in the ass.

Next day was school and she didn't talk to me at all. I was able to get released to lunch early. So did she. No one was in the cafeteria, so I decided to sit and chill at my table. She came up and gave me a card and a Dream Catcher. She said thanks for the note and left to the table in front of me.

On front of the card ot said, For You. I laughed and opened it. I looked at it and it was two whole paragraphs long. I thought, well it either good or bad. I skimmed it reading only the first few sentences. It read, "I liked the note, I really did. Its just...." I skimmed down a few sentences and continued. "I don't feel the same way about you." I was shocked. Why would she go through all the trouble to write a two paragraph letter only to tell me right off the bat that she didn't like me?

I decided to read only the first few for real and it read, "Thank you Isaiah, I loved the little stuffed bear you got me. And I liked the note, I really did. It's just I really see you as a brother. I'm sorry, I don't feel the same about you."

I was broken, it happened again. Having the girl reject you. Even after all you did, they abandon you. I think that is really when my depression began, when I realized that no one wanted me.

After that letter she gave me. She got a boyfriend from a town nearby. She broke up with him to go out with another guy at my school. His name is also Isaiah, just spelled different. Well, she is a lot dumber than anyone else I know. He cheated on her three different times and she always goes back to him. It's kinda sad, but I'm actually quite happy about it. Cause in the end, if she was like that, I would hate our relationship.

Haha, but it's all good. Next year's girl will be one of the hardest, cause I'm dealing with it still right now. I don't know who is the right one, and I don't know if I'll find her. But I do still have hope that one day, I'll find the one for me.

Real true stories that has happened and currently happening in my Highschool life. My name is Isaiah and a Junior at a certain school. These stories are funny, boring or sad. Hope you enjoy my adventures at school and beyond.

It was the day that Sara wasn't looking forward to. She and Rion visited her family at the Central City to meet her older brother and mother. While she had the support and approval of Ginny, she wasn't really happy meeting Lawrence at a time like this. 

Madam Yun was very civil and welcoming when she met Rion. She was quite excited as this was the first time that Sara brought someone for them to meet. As Rion greeted his future mother in law, he and Sara were surprised to see Aya coming out from the study room with Lawrence. Lawrence was giving him some orders as she trailed behind him while busy taking down notes. 

Their eyes met and Rion felt that Lawrence was trying to intimidate him with his gaze. Lawrence courtly nodded at him and offered a hand to greet him.

"Lawrence Yun. Finally, my sister got the courage to bring you here, Mr. Stahl." He said before giving Sara a narrow-eyed glance. 

"I'm Rion Stahl. Sara's fiance." Rion replied as he took Lawrence hand for a quick handshake. But the tight grip that Sara's brother had on his hand made his eyes narrowed. He didn't like how Lawrence look at Sara. 

Lawrence released Rion's hand and turned his attention to his younger sister. 

"Sara. Let's have a talk while mom and Gin prepare our dinner," he said before nodding once again to Rion and left the couple alone in the living room. 

Sara hesitated but decided she didn't have a choice but to confront her brother. She released a sigh and leaned her head to Rion's arm.

"Are you alright?" he asked. He had no idea who much strain did he caused between the siblings but he decided he will stick with Sara whatever she decides to do.

"I'm fine. Go and follow my sister to the kitchen. I'll join you soon." 

Rion chose to keep silent even know he knew something was bothering her. He went to the kitchen after Lawrence called Sara for a private talk in his study. He saw Madam Yun and Ginny busy preparing for their dinner. He took a seat on a stool at the counter and watched how they busily argued to each other. 

"Mom, let me do it. You can do the desserts." Ginny told her mother. She was busy preparing the meat for the tacos while her mother insisted to prepare another meal for Rion.

"But Rion already brought some. Let me help you." Madam Yun took over and help Ginny prepare the other dishes.

"Is there something I can do to help?" Rion asked. 

He hadn't been on a family occasion for a long time. The last one he could remember was when he and Ava arrived at their uncle's home. His chest tightened at the memory of his younger sister. 

Ginny waved a hand at him, dismissing his offer for help. He was their guest and it wasn't ideal to make him do some chores. 

"Oh, no. No. You don't have to worry about it, Rion. Our mom is just excited. You see it isn't every day that we receive guests and we haven't seen each other recently so consider this a little reunion." 

"Where's Sara?" Madam Yun asked as she glazed the meat and turned her head to Ginny.

"She's with Lawrence," Ginny replied to her mother. It had been almost an hour since the two left to talk and they wondered why they haven't come down yet for dinner. "Rion, do you think you could call them and say that the dinner will be ready?"

"Alright." 

Rion knew that Lawrence will be a problem. He had sensed from the start that Lawrence didn't like him for whatever reasons. He had to admit though that he wasn't a very likable person. If he hadn't met Sara, he was sure as hell that there won't be a chance for him to date someone what more to marry a woman. 

He was already accustomed to being pressured or challenged. But if Lawrence decided for once that he will start a war against him and hurt Sara, then he would have no choice but to stand his ground. After all whether Lawrence like it or not, he had no plans to cancel his marriage arrangements with Sara. 

He lifted his hand to knock on the door when the sound of Sara's voice broke from within. He froze outside the door with his brows furrowed in disappointment. From the sound of her voice, he knew Sara was crying in frustration. Somehow, he could picture on his mind her beautiful face that was stained by her tears. 

"Damn it. Why does Rion need to sign an agreement with you just to marry me? You're planning to use him to expand the company abroad?" Sara burst into tears as she continued to argue with her brother. Her voice reached Rion's ears. "I will marry him whether you like it or not! Rion will not succumb to your conditions. I will not let him sacrifice something just to get your approval!" 

Rion wasn't able to hear what was Lawrence response to Sara's outburst. He doubted that Lawrence will lose his self-control just by arguing with Sara. 

"It's not my fault that your marriage failed! Why should you lecture me on who and how I should date? Rion is far way better than my past boyfriends. Don't you dare use him against me!" 

"Rion? What's wrong?" A feminine voice called out to him. 

Rion saw Aya arrived holding some papers on her chest. He was about to answer when Sara's loud voice echoed from the room.

"I don't wanna hear about it anymore! It's already in the past and I admit I was wrong when I didn't listen to you. But this time I'm sure about Rion! He wouldn't use me to gain something from our company. Do you want me to ask him for a Prenuptial agreement? I will never do that to him. It was your own fault why Eunice tricked you, not mine." Sara pointed out.

"That's enough, Sara." Lawrence's voice was harsh and unyielding. 

"You don't wanna hear the truth? Fine. But I'm tired of you meddling with my affair. I'm so done with it. I quit. Find another one to help you run the company. " Sara flung the door opened and was surprised to see Rion and Aya standing outside with unreadable faces. 

"Learn to trust again, brother," she said over her shoulder. "Not everyone is like your conniving ex-wife. I pity you. You become a self-centered bastard after your divorce with her." Her voice was shaking with anger and her eyes filled with tears. 

"Don't speak to me like that, Sara! I'm still your brother!"

Rion and Aya were both speechless and felt awkward for being there listening to the Yun siblings. They were also surprised by the revelation that Lawrence was a divorcee. Aya blinked twice. She couldn't believe that there was once a brave woman who married this demon. 

"Yes! Exactly! You're just my brother! You aren't dad! Dad will understand me. You can't!" she said with contempt. Her brother was getting out of the line and she wouldn't let him separate her from Rion. Sara knew what her brother was planning to do with Rion if he agreed to sign the contract with him.

She didn't wait for her brother's answer and spun around. She pulled Rion's hand to leave with her and accidentally collided with Aya who was trying to get out of the way. Fortunately, Rion was able to steady both women so they won't floor on the floor.

"Oh, Aya. I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry." Sara released Rion's hand and helped Aya picked up the papers that fell on the floor. 

"It's alright. Are you okay?" Aya asked. 

She was worried that this will make Lawrence more irritated and uncooperative than before. It was already hard for her to understand his behavior and mean remarks. She knew her new employer was trying to find a way to use Rion to his advantage while letting the man marry his little sister. Such a vile and mean brother. Aya wondered why he wasn't as good as his sisters. 

Sara shook her head and sobbed quietly. Rion kept silent but tighten his hold in her hand. He will not let her be alone at a time like this. 

"I'm surprised that you're still able to work with my brother. He will make your life a living hell, Aya. Leave him. He doesn't deserve a woman as good as you around him. He's an egoistic jerk who only cares about his own interest." 

Sara moved past of her with Rion following behind her. Aya could only look at their retreating figure before both disappeared on her sight. A moment later, she heard the main door opened and was followed by a loud sound. Aya turned around and took a glanced into the study.

Lawrence was sitting behind his desk with a darkened expression on his face. His hands were folded at the top of his desk and Aya could see that he was clenching it so hard that his knuckles were turning as white as sheet.

If you are suffering from some kind of depression whether it is from sin or financial problems, you might want to hear this verse from the Bible. It is simple but so life changing. 
 
 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

 Such inspiring verse from the Bible don't you think? It is very short and simple but is very true. You can try all of the tactics you want but without God's permission, it will never work. But, if you love God with all your heart, it would be obvious He will love you back. Doesn't parents always want best for their child? If so won't God also want the best for you? He is the creator of the universe and has absolute power.
 
Of course if you love Jesus with all your life, He will always find a way for you. For those who are struggling trying to repent but keep sinning, always remember God and what He wants to do with you. If you sin again then repent to God again, turn from your sin. 
 
While trying to turn from your mistakes always find solutions to your problems. Let's say you suffer from an addiction, you might want to memorize some Bible verses. It will really help you. Memorizing the verse I put in the start will be really effective. But remember if you fail and displease God once again, never give up. If you ask a succesful businessman how to make a successful business the majority will probably say, "When you fall, rise up again no matter how much times until you can gain success". So if you disobey God do not succumb to your sins saying to yourself, "I can't do it. I'm too weak. God will never forgive me". No, do not say that. Continue on with your journey. Never give up. Always remember, never give up and always keep God by your side.

 If you suffer from school, let's say you get bullied, always remember what Jesus said in his time, "If someone throws a stone at you, throw back bread". What Jesus meant here was if someone gave you hate and curses, give them love. Just as the Bible says, "Overcome evil with good". So if you keep getting bullied at school, tell your teacher. If they still keep bullying you, ask God for courage to face your bullies. Ask God to give you courage to tell your bullies that what they are doing is wrong. 

 But when I say courage, I don't mean to go have a fist fight with them. The commandments say, "Love thy neighbor as you love thy self". So if you fight them, you have disobeyed this commandment. What does the Bible say about this? Well it says," To overcome evil with evil is no different from what you have overcome and you made no difference in what the the evil you overcame did". So do not fight with your bullies, love them. Like they are your brothers and sisters.

 But let's say you are depressed because of school itself. Your homework is stacked, you are the smartest student so the teachers make you learn so many things all at once for a contest, you have an upcoming important test and you need to study but you lost some of your handbooks if not all of them. Remember this, every single person in this world suffers from something. You may have a cut that hurts so bad, but what if the person you are talking to professing everything you are suffering from have stabs? Depression and anxiety are the tests God gives us to see if we are worthy of eternal life. So remember, never succumb to sins no matter what. As I said memorizing Bible verses is very useful.

 That is all the advice I can give you. May the Lord be with you

Vince is now on his way back to the hotel accompanied by Haru and Emika. The meeting was a success and they have completed the dishes Haru will cook and the rings were already chosen. Edward, on the other hand, needs to drop Nyelle back to the base before heading back to the Hotel.
"Vince, can I ask you something?" Emika said.
"Fire away." 
"Who is Nyelle to Edward?"
"Owh about that....." Vince didn't directly answer as it was not his position to do so. He glanced at the man beside him and noticed the sadness in his eyes.
Haru has been in love with Emika ever since he met them but when Emika met his cousin, Edward, she had been head over heels with the man. These two are both in a one-sided relationship with the other person not knowing the feelings they keep.
After considering Haru's feelings, Vince answered,
"I don't think I am the right person you should ask about that. Why not try asking Edward yourself?"
"That's why I'm asking you because I can't find the courage to do so." Emika sneered at Vince.
"Well, he hasn't mentioned about it, though." Vince lied as there's no need for his cousin to voice out his feelings.

As soon as they arrive at hotel, Haru headed to his room to get ready for the dishes he needed to cook for the couple. Not noticing the sour mood of the man, Emika went on with exploring the hotel. Vince, on the other hand, went to his suite where his Queen is preparing for the press conference as what Sylvan had reported through the message.
"Vince?" Yve instantly turned around when she heard the door opening.
"Yes, anything wrong?" Vince asked and hugged his Queen while eyeing her wardrobe for the night.
Yve is wearing a white dress. It was so pristine that it featured clapper sleeves and sensual cut-out details on the side. The dress hugged her body so beautifully and highlighted her slender frame. The cross at the middle of the dress separates the one piece dress. It ended with a pencil cut skirt to declare a statement.
The look on Vince's eyes made Yve embarrassed. 
"You look so beautiful." Vince commented.
"Especially with these jewelry and diamond heels with you." He added.
Yve blushed and hid her face by turning around and instructed, "You should get ready as well. We don't want to keep the press waiting."
"Yes, mam!" Vince said and went to the walk-in closet.
After a few minutes, Vince went out wearing an eye opener suit. He is wearing a white suit accented by color black on the lapel and button and bow tie. Lastly, his trousers are colored black too.
'And of course, he would make sure that our clothes are couple like.' Yve thought.
"Let's go?" Vince asked her.
"Hmmm…" Yve nodded but held Vince's arm well and the man knew instantly what she feels.
"Don't worry. I'm here for you." Vince assured her and walked with her towards the function hall.
As soon as they came in, different cameras flashed and cameramen made sure to capture every moment. Edward is already on stage waiting for them. As soon as they sat on the chairs allotted for them on stage, Edward began his opening speech.
"I know all of you have heard the news this morning released by Stones Enterprises. It was then further confirmed by Gray Group at noon. Tonight, this couple is here to answer your questions regarding the said announcements. Each of you can only ask one question so make it count."
A reporter approached the microphone prepared and asked a question.
"My question is for Mrs. Yvory Gray. Why did you decided to reveal all the secrets now? From your marriage to your position as the new CEO of SkyMu."
"I've never planned to hide these things from you nor I have the intention to reveal things in one go. I wanted to reveal my position as the CEO in a very special company event. As for my marriage, my husband here is a respected man in this world and loved by both men and women. I wanted to be considered worthy of everything Mr. Vincent Gray has to offer." Yve answered with conviction in her eyes.
Another reporter came and asked a question to Vince.
"Mr. Gray was marrying Mrs. Yvory a business tactic for expansion?"
"Your question is a bit rude but I would still answer that. Yve and I met each other way before we became bosses in our company. We fell in and out of love. Business tactic? It has nothing to do with that. I can make Gray Group a more powerful company while she can also rise at her own convenience."
Many people in the room didn't expect the sweet confession coming from the couple.
A lady reporter stood in front of the microphone.
"Mrs. Gray this question is for you. I hope you don't mind me asking, but as you are now the President of SkyMu, why did you turned the leadership of Stones to your husband when he has an empire of his own already? You even mentioned that you want to be considered of equal position."
"I thought you would never ask. I'm just delaying it. Right now, with my knowledge I'm not the CEO that Stones Enterprises need." Yve started her explanation.
"I'm going to study and improve my skills and credentials to be respectable CEO of a big corporation like Stones. Moreover, having Vince manage Stones doesn't mean that I will not lay out my ideas." She continued. 
"I will attend the meetings and participate in all the projects." Yve ended her explanation.
"Mr. Gray, what can you say about your wife's plan?" A journalist directly asked.
"I agree with her plans. She will be well updated of the latest news of Stones but her priorities will be her studies, SkyMu and of course our marriage." Vince said.
His admission earned laughter from everyone in the room and a light push from his Queen as her cheeks turned red.
"Now, let's have the final question." Edward stated.
"Mr. Gray, now that you hold the two biggest corporations, what are your plans?"
"I have some rough ideas but as to avoid inflicting losses than gains, I want to study them further. No need to worry as official news will be posted in our official accounts." Vince answered the final question.
"That marks the end of our press conference. Thank you very much for coming and we're looking forward to the articles and reports you will give."
Edward concluded the event as Vince gestured Yve to stand up. Vince guided Yve to the backstage where Jaleb is waiting.
'Now time for another surprise, Ms. Y.' Jaleb thought to himself.


Today is another busy day for me. Work and home are the only places I go to for the past 3 years. The end of THAT relationship ended my happy, easy-going life. But then, when I think about it, it was not his fault but mine. My friends would tell me that I need to move on. I HAVE MOVED ON. It's just I don't want any side trips anymore in my life. I have my dreams and I am working hard for it. Little did I know what the destiny has installed for me.

"Mom, I still love her. She ended the relationship without any valid reason and I didn't agree."

"But son, what if the reason is that she doesn't love you anymore? Isn't that a reason valid enough for you?"

"I have to know it this time, mom. I did try to go out on dates but still failed. I think meeting her again will help me know what is happening with me."

"I guess I have no other choice. But remember, don't let her disrupt your plans and the family's business."

"I know, mom. Steph, book my flight to the Philippines tomorrow."

"Vincent! Why are you in so much rush?!"

"Because I believe that the early bird gets the worm."
