Enxuo was aware of Li Cheung's feelings for Hippolyta. The boy had grown from a spoiled, pampered idiot to a man of quiet dignity and bearing in all the years he had known him. Unluckily for him, Hippolyta wasn't even aware of these changes since she treated him like air every time she saw him.

                 There was a slight change in her treatment of Li Cheung, however, when his dogged infatuation entered its fifth year. She smiled at him, which nearly put him in a catatonic shock. Luckily, Enxuo was there to help prop him up when Hippolyta drew nearer and actually spoke to him.

                 "You are a magician?" she asked, like it was the first time she had ever seen him before.

                 The sophisticated and elegant Li Cheung stammered some inane response.

                 "There is a book I am currently reading that deals with magic and alchemy. I am actually confused which is which so maybe you can help me?"

                  Hippolyta at closer range was more devastating than Li Cheung ever suspected. Her eyes shone a pure onyx, her lips had the softest tinge of pink he had ever seen in a woman. Her body was made for loving a man that looking at her actually dried his mouth and fried his brains. Enxuo again came to his rescue by chatting with Hippolyta about what little he knew of alchemy until Li Cheung finally took a grip of his emotions and asked Hippolyta if she could show her the book she was reading.

                 It turned out to be a disputed book written by an alchemist who was denounced by the magic world as a bigot.  In one of the most argued chapters in the book, the man gave his opinion that magic arose from superstition and unacknowledged fears arising from carnality; that alchemy was the truest form of magic because it was based on reason and logic backed up by the evidence of science.

                 Li Cheung was conflicted. He was a man of magic so he didn't believe in alchemy. But he was also a man of reason so he believes in evidence. But evidence can be manufactured. A powerful magician like him can manipulate evidence to back up a lie; and a lie can be manufactured to back up evidence.  He looked at Hippolyta and didn't know what to say. Seeing the conflict on his face, Hippolyta laughed and threw the book aside.  

                One good thing that came out of that incident was that Hippolyta started talking to him more and more.  He was now in his early twenties and had fully grown into his own. He was taller, his face leaner and his eyes keener than when he was a youth.  His mother had even started matchmaking him to the daughters of other influential families but Li Cheung wasn't interested. He had even disbanded his harem, calling them a distraction on his path towards greatness as the most powerful magician of his time.

                The world admired and loved him, women wanted to marry him and have his baby and the only woman in the world he ever likes didn't even know him from Adam.

                 He was encouraged by his growing relationship with Hippolyta though. She was starting to notice him more and more. They would discuss science, gardening, food and sometimes, astrology.  He was starting to get his hopes up until Enxuo of course dashed his lovesick head against a brick with a few words.

                 "What did you say?" he stared at Enxuo with eyes almost falling off their sockets.

                "I said Hippolyta is preparing to leave so she could find a mate to father her child.  It's about time she has an heir," Enxuo said casually, like he was talking about sex in a manner of plucking chickens before frying or broiling them in oil.

                 "What?" he asked, staring curiously at Li Cheung's thunderstruck face.

                 "A mate for her child? Who is this mate we're talking about?"

                 "Who knows? They go out, find a strong man they think qualifies as a father, have sex with them and waits until the baby is born to see if it's a boy or girl. The boy baby is given back to the dad and the girl baby stays with the mother. That's about it."

                 "Just like that? Hippolyta is doing it just like that?" Li Cheung was shocked.

                 "That's the way they always do it. Nothing wrong with that, right? 

                 Li Cheung was stunned. And very unhappy. And very depressed by what's going to happen. His woman was actually preparing to find a man, any man, to father her child and he's actually not doing anything to stop it? He was a man of great talent, a man of great perception. Most important of all, he was a man of great jealousy, of greed and great possessiveness when it comes to Hippolyta.

                 That night, he met her at the usual time and slipped a potion in her drink. She likes her wine after dinner and the wine came from her cellar.  He didn't even feel any ounce of guilt from what he did. It was a battle between them. He knew the consequences but he didn't care. He wanted her and this time, he would do anything, even murder, to own and possess her.

                 Like the great magician he was, Li Cheung went into battle fully armed. He loved the woman he had been obsessing with for nearly six years like it was his last hours on earth and he was going to die. He didn't hold anything back. He told her he would marry her, that she would be his wife, that she would not bear any man's child but his and that he loved her, enough to suffer the consequences of her hatred if she decides never to forgive him for what he did. He would even accept death from her hands if that's what she wants.

                 The two of them stayed glued together the rest of the evening and morning. Li Cheung was indefatigable.  Hippolyta accepted his advances with her body singing with desire. After their fourth or fifth coupling, she knew she was pregnant and that the child was going to be a girl. But she stayed at Li Cheung's side, even when the day turned into dark and morning again greeted them with its brilliance.

                 The marriage of Li Cheung and Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons, was postponed for a year by the untimely death of his mother. The woman was neither poisoned nor assassinated but swallowed a chicken bone the wrong way and croaked, leaving Li Cheung a major part of an inheritance so large even Hippolyta was stunned.

                 When Ceres was born, the couple decided to live for a while in the grove and just vanished from the world for once. But the world was not done with them yet. Li Cheung's father sent him a letter telling him of his impending marriage to the widow of a fellow politician in his party.  The woman was a great hostess, she was well-known for her wit and elegance and she also had a daughter, a 12-year old girl named Yu Yan.

                When the one year was up, Li Cheung and Hippolyta finally had their wedding ceremony. They also travelled to the city and saw Li Cheung's father, who had become very fat by then. Hippolyta was indifferent to her in-laws. She was cold to the dad, even colder to the stepmom and somewhat lukewarm to Yu Yan.

                 Li Cheung didn't know whether to laugh or cry. His wife was crazy arrogant when it suited her. She was also easily bored but he knew she cared enough about him to accompany him to a city which she found abhorrent because of the rats and the apparent poverty they saw on the streets. 
Hippolyta was also impatient to return home because of an experiment she had been working on since they got together.  She said that he had given her the idea but she didn't tell him what it was and he didn't ask because he was busy with other things, too, like an impending war with a neighborhood kingdom because of gold.

                 The gold was discovered in the mountains that bordered the two kingdoms. A prisoner escaped and when the soldiers found him, he had fallen into a cave that sparkled with the mineral. A fight ensued. Soldiers fought soldiers. The escaped prisoner ran across the border with a handful of gold in his pockets. The border patrols apprehended him, found the gold, and then crossed over to ransacked the cave for their share.

                  It was a melee that turned the once friendly kingdoms into overnight enemies. Li Cheung was called upon by the king for his advice and inputs. Li Cheung, who was still in a honeymoon phase with Hippolyta, was incensed. He didn't want to leave his wife and child and go traipsing amongst the mountains looking for war. He told the king's messengers so but Hippolyta, who had centuries of experience in warfare and know how to break an enemy that seemed unbreakable, offered her take on the conflict: attack the enemy's treasury and empty it of all its value. That should hold their interest for a while until the cave was emptied of its gold. 

               The plan worked so well that Li Cheung received another commendation from the king. Li Cheung and Hippolyta celebrated their triumph by making love in the waterfalls for a night. The gentle flow of water smothered their screams, the stream cradled their bodies until they fell asleep. Their celebration didn't last long, however. A few days later, a letter arrived with Enxuo. Li Cheung's father and stepmother had died in a blast. And Yu Yan, his 12-year old stepsister, was on her way to his house, where she intends to live with his new wife and his baby girl.

             She was alone now and it was left to his care to take full responsibility of her welfare.

There was no way he would say he had been staring at Liu Duo because he was curious if she had changed after he heard Ye Mo say he had consummated his marriage with her.

Because he felt that, Liu Duo became even more attractive.

When Li Wazi and the others arrived, Ye Mo kept constantly walking around smugly in front of him. This made Li Wazi feel very confused. "Mo, what are you doing?"

The corner of Ye Mo's mouth started to twitch. He went over, grabbed his shoulder, and whispered softly into his ear, "Ask if I have left the life of a monk and consummated my marriage!"

He couldn't help but remind him.

When Li Wazi heard what he said, he looked at Ye Mo, who was inches away from him, and naively asked back very quietly, "Mo, didn't you tell me you had already consummated your marriage when I asked you yesterday? Why do I have to ask again?"

He meant that he already knew the answer, so why would he ask again? That would just be repeating an unnecessary action.

"If you don't want to ask, then forget it. Don't ask me any sort of questions in the future! Humph…"

He pushed him away and went to get the account book and other stuff.

Ye Yang had already taken the farming equipment and gone out to work in the fields with the two temp workers. Before he left, he glanced at Liu Duo. She was smiling at Ye Ling, and Ye Yang felt she looked very pretty when she smiled.

"Let's go. We need to leave."  Ye Liu called out to them once everything was prepared.

Liu Duo brought Liu Ran onto the ox-cart as well, and they went where they wanted to go without any trouble.

"Wife, come sit near me so you won't fall down." Ye Mo acted very attentively. He sat beside Liu Duo and held her shoulder.

Liu Duo rolled her eyes at him. Why did it feel like this bastard had changed? She felt it was a bit strange.

After they got down, Liu Duo held Liu Ran's hand and led him to the entrance of the only school in the village.

They looked at the front door and saw the word "Schoolhouse". There were a few simple, crude thatched-roof buildings at the back.
 
School hadn't started, and there were a few kids playing in the yard. The older ones were reading and revising on their own in a room.

Liu Duo brought Liu Ran into the school and asked with a smile, "Hello, child. I want to ask you where your teacher is and what the requirements are for enrolling in this school."

Most of the kids in the yard were around eight or nine years old. They looked at Liu Duo when they heard her, and one of them replied very politely, "The teacher is in the building preparing for class. I will bring you there."

Liu Duo nodded with a smile and followed behind him.

"Teacher, someone is looking for you." The child tapped on the door lightly, stepped back, stood by the side, and waited.

Not long after, an old man with snowy white hair opened the door. He looked at Liu Duo and Liu Ran and then looked at the kid. "Yuan Fang, you can go."

"Yes, teacher." Yuan Fang bowed and then left. He went back and continued to play with the other children.

"Tea…" Just as Liu Duo opened her mouth to greet him, the old man lifted his hand to silence her.

"Let's talk inside." He turned around and went into the room.

He didn't like to discuss things outside.

"Dad, as long as you're happy." Qiao Nan pursed her lips. She did not wish to argue with Qiao Dongliang.
She had never suspected the good intention of her father. However, she did not have confidence in Qiao Zijin.
An eternal life of staying by one's side was easier said than done. Her father's heart and mind might not be as determined as he thought himself to be.

As a father, he did not know more than his daughter. Qiao Dongliang felt that he truly needed to reflect on himself.
Logically, Nan Nan studied at school every day. She would revise her studies and do her homework when she was home. She would not come into contact with more people than him. He only just got to know what Nan Nan already knew. Had he been out of touch with the society?

If Qiao Zijin and Ding Jiayi felt that this was good for them, then he would allow the mother and daughter to create a fuss. Unless they suffered a major setback, any invaluable advice would not register with Ding Jiayi and Qiao Zijin. They would not listen to any of it.
As such, after Qiao Dongliang put down his worries, he felt much more relaxed.

Mu Zi Lei arrived at his destination. He knocked at the door a few times but no one responded. He knocked again but there was still no response. He grew nervous as time goes by.

Li Yun was currently taking a bath when he heard a series of knocks coming from his door. He dried his hair and body. Afterwards, he put on his disguise and opened the door.

" Mr. M---"

Mu Zi Lei hugged Li Yun tightly. He will never leaved his angel from now on. He nearly married the fake b*tch but he was thankful to her because she bring the true person at his doorstep.

" I-I c-can't b-breath!!! "

Mu Zi Lei loosen his hug and kissed Li Yun's forehead. He can't wait to wed this little boy the day after tomorrow.

Yes, you heard it right! It will be two days from now!!!

Li Yun was unaware of the man's plans. He just heard from the maids that Mu Zi Lei chased out Qing Yue after a strong hypnosis yesterday. He also heard that he was planning to be wed. 

Li Yun was panicking because his plans didn't go well. The male lead will still marry but not to his sister.

Li Yun's well crafted plan was...he will disguised as Bai Xuan. When Mu Zi Lei planned to marry Qing Yue, he will trapped Qing Yue in a corner to show her true nature. " I'm sorry. Did you have breakfast already? Let's eat together if you don't. Eating together is more enjoyable. "

Li Yun smiled and agreed. He was hungry because no one delivered breakfast to his room as usual.

The culprit Mu Zi Lei: "....."

The weather was beautiful. The birds were singing a happy tune. The morning breeze passed Li Yun's bangs and it tickled a little bit. He wanted to put it to the side but a hand sweeped it for him.

" T-Thanks.. "

Mu Zi Lei quickly retracted his hand and smiled toward Li Yun. He ordered  few maids to served their breakfast quickly before it turns cold.

He elegantly ate his chicken sandwich while Li Yun's eyes were feasting the sunflowers and roses planted at the garden.

" Is the food not...appetizing? "

He noticed Li Yun was still not eating after he point it out.

I guessed he didn't liked the breakfast I personally prepared.

Mu Zi Lei dropped the sandwich he was eating and observed his angel's twinkling eyes.

" I-I'm sorry. I can't help but appreciate the flowers. They were beautiful. "

It was Li Yun's personal praise at Mu Zi Lei because he know that he was the one who planted it one by one and not because of original Bai Xiao Ning's influence to him.

" I thought...you didn't like the food. "

Mu Zi Lei pointed out after he saw Li Yun preparing to eat the sandwich.

Li Yun smiled and proceed to take a bite. The thing he could say right now was the food this army commander personally made was DELICIOUS !!!

Yes, he know that Mu Zi Lei cooked this because it was one of the fluffy events in the story and the one who should be eating breakfast with him was...

" Qing Yue... "

Mu Zi Lei heard his angel's soft muttering. He was a little nervous if the information about his sister's suffering attacks was Qing Yue's fault and it reached his ears.

" That... The other candidates conceded defeat when you returned. Qing Yue was secretly chased out by me...  so, technically you were the one that I will marry. "

Li Yun: OAO! This was...too..fast. This was not the scene were Mu Zi Lei  proposed to Qing Yue.  It was at the rooftop of a restaurant. It was night time so the view was great. He even gave the Bai's family business to Qing Yue as a marriage gift and he said that he will marry her for real.

Mu Zi Lei hold a red box in front of Li Yun and opened it and inside was a wedding ring with a small diamond in the center.

" But...But you ignored me for one week! You didn't tell me about your whereabouts."

The woman from the other line laughed.

"What about him?" She's talking about this man who was soundly sleeping on the bed.

It has been a week since I propose Mia and we have visited his father's house to visit her relatives and I haven't found a new house for us to stay. The brokers whom I have hired are also useless, they even can't find a single house for us.

Wait a second was that house for a sale. I thought and turn my car to see the mansion standing proudly in the close door of gates. It looks a little bit old but a little bit of renovation and it would be good to go.

I look down at for the sale board and dial the number that was written on the board. The person picks it's up at the third ring.

"Hello, Mr. Walden, I was passing through your Mansion and see the for sale board at the gate, I wanted to ask that have you already found the owner for the house or is it still for sale," I ask on the phone.

"Yes, sir it was still for the sale, are you interested in buying the mansion?" Mr. Walden asks on the other side of the phone.

"Yes, sir what time would be suitable for you to show me the house?" I ask leaning on the car.

"Is 6 in the evening tomorrow is suitable for you, sir?" Mr. Walden asks me.

"Yes, sir I will be here with my wife sir, see you tomorrow, sir?" I ask him conforming the time to meet him.

"See you tomorrow, bye," Mr. Walden said to me.

"Bye," I said and hang upon him. I call Mia and tell her that I have found us a new house for us which are near the school, my office and the hospital in case of an emergency and she was very happy about it. I hang up on her, seat at the driver seat and drive away to my office.

I was busy in doing other house choose when I got Nate call saying that he has found the place where we like to live, and it was near the school and his office, it was also near the hospital in case of emergency and I was so happy that I can't even express my happiness in words. My thoughts were cut off with the ringtone of my phone, I pick it up to see it was Erika, what perfect timing.

"Hello, Mia, How are you? How is pregnancy treating you?"  Erika asks in a cheerful voice.

"Hey, Erika, what perfect timing, I was just about to call you, I am fine and pregnancy is also treating me fine, well except the morning sickness and tiredness, what about you?" I ask with a chuckle.

"I can understand trust me, well I am doing good, I have a call to ask you did you guys have decided the date for your marriage, so that we can start planning for your wedding?" she ask me.

"Yes, we have decided on 20 January, how about you and Anita come here to my place in the evening so that we can start planning and making arrangements for the wedding?" I ask her.

"Sure, then see you in the evening," she said to me.

"Sure and don't worry I will call and inform Anita, okay?" I ask her.

"Okay, bye," she said to me.

"Bye," I said and hang up on her. I message all the detail to Anita and tell her to meet us at my place to plan our wedding. I was tired of all the work so I decided to take a shower and take a small nap.

I wake up feeling hungry and see the clock to see it was 3 in the afternoon so I get to the bathroom, did my business and have some snacks. I decided to change some clothes and watch T.V after preparing dinner until my friends come here. As I finessed the preparing dinner I heard the doorbell ring. I walk towards the door and open the door to see both the friends are standing in front of me.

"Hey guys," I said and engulf them in a bear hug.

"Please come in and thanks to you so much for helping me in my wedding preparation," I said getting aside and opening the door for them.

"No, problem after all that are friends, for," they said in unison while entering inside the living room.

"You guys talk I will bring something to eat, okay," I said and walk inside the kitchen to bring some snacks to eat. After that, I walk to them with a tray of snacks and some drinks to go with it.

"So where do you think we should start?" I ask them sitting on the floor beside them.

"I think we should make a list for the things that need to be done for the things and this way we would know what was done and what was left to be done," Anita suggested and we agreed with her. I take a notebook and a pen in my hand and started to make a list while they told me the thing we need to do.

"Okay, it's done, I will repeat everything to make sure everything has written in the book and nothing is missing, okay?" I ask them and they nodded their heads to me.

"So here it goes.

"So anything left?" I ask them and they shake their head in denial.

"Peach and White color," I said and she wrote it in the book.

"Which flower?" Erika asks and I choose white rose.

"So when do we start looking for the place for the wedding?" Erika asks me.

"What about tomorrow evening?"  Anita suggested.

"No tomorrow evening I and Nate are going for house searching?" I said to them nervously.

"The day after, tomorrow, then?" Erika ask me and I nodded at her.

"My aunt and cousin ask me to go dress shopping together, so would you like to come with us?" I ask them.

"Why not if they don't mind going with us, so don't we," Anita said and look at Erika asking her with her eyes, so I look at her to see her nodding her head as a yes.

"Great, I will call them and ask them and then informed you," I said smiling at them.

"I know a great restraint who make the most delicious food, and they have bars too, I have given order to them in my wedding, if you want I can talk to them for you," Anita suggested me.

"Of course, I would like it very much," I said smiling at them.

"Cool, leave florist, decoration and sitting arrangements to me them, I will call you when I have talked to them," Erika said smiling at me.

"Sure, thank you, Erika, I and Nate will go and see the rings when we were on our way to see the house," I said smiling at her.

"We should leave now, the kids will be in a home in no time, so see the day after tomorrow Mia," Anita said standing from the floor and hugging me.

"See ya," I said hugging her back.

"I should leave too, okay take care and did not take any stress about the wedding, okay," Erika said helping me getting up from the floor.

"Okay, bye," she said hugging me and walk out of there. I take the tray from the table and walk to the kitchen to put it down and do the dishes in the sink. And start preparing the table for dinner. The kids have decided to stay at dad's house to it was just me and Nate in the house alone. I prepare the table and wait for him to get back home from the office.

       I explained everything for her and how I got  kidnapped and the reason for our house been burnt and how louis was involved in it all, and now I get to pay for his mistake and everything thing that happened to family was because of the monster named "Nathan".

        Neither my Mom not my Dad knew that louis was in any relationship with a girl, we always laughed at him and called him a holy priest.

          "Darling, where are you now?"

      "He's holding me captive in his house, I can't come home now.  Mom where are the both of you?"

      "we're at your aunt's for the while, don't worry, soon we'll get a new house. We should Involve the police right?
