This book doesn't dictate methods to change the world, nor you.This doesn't inject thoughts into you and make you better. 

It isn't a history book that connects you with your ancestors, it isn't a philosophical writing that motivates you. 

It isn't a fantasy book, or doesn't teach you to do dark magic. 

It isn't a collection of educational journals, It isn't about any research, It doesn't give you any information that makes your life better. 

This book is all about me saying about this awful world the same as it is.

This book is trashy so just ignore it. English is not my first language so there are grammer mistakes. I wont publish chapters frequently and even if I do publish any all of my chapters are short and this story may have a few stupid parts to it so please ignore those.

"Annie! Is nice to see you. You look even better than the last time we met" A middle aged guy greeted my mother once we entered his office.  

"Oh Clark stop with your lies" My mother replied playfully. It was clear that the both of them were friends, or in really good terms at the very least. 

"And you must be the young genius I been hearing about... Mister Sam Bane" He said amicably, and then he offered me his hand to shake "I'm Clarke Cook, it's a pleasure to meet you" 

"Good day to you sir" I shook his hand firmly. Or with the most strength my seven year old self could muster. 

After the short interaction, I finally could relax a bit. For some reason, ever since yesterday night I was really nervous about this reunion. I guess that I really wanted for it to work out. 

"Take a sit please" He said after a while, with a never ending smile on his face. 

His office was a mess. I could tell that he worked hard, if the multiple papers all over his desk, and the big bags under his eyes were any indication. Still, it didn't gave much confidence on his organizational skills. 

"Thanks Clark" My mother replied. And before I could notice the mood changed. It was like the both of them went from normal mode to business mode, in just second. 

Before coming here, my mother just told me to let her negotiate in my behalf. And I planned to do exactly that, especially now with the professional aura she inspires. 

"Well, let's start with the book composition first" said Clark, "Annie, like you already know, I like the three stories you've sent me last week. They appeal to a younger demographic, which is  a group that is gaining traction lately. Although I have to say that these stories are too short to be released as books on their own. So, I propose to compile them. I think five stories could make a good sized book" 

It was reasonable. My stories were a little too short. I could've done them longer, but I wanted to keep them simple, considering that the target readers would be mostly kids. 

"That's a good idea. Although I think that the stories should have a common theme between them. For example, a book collection could be about princesses. Sam here has written about ten stories about princesses, so it shouldn't be a problem, right Sam?" My mother said, and tactfully helped me to get into the conversation. 

"Yes, there's no problem with that" I said calmly. Mr. Clark finally looked at me after that. He looked interested with that bit of news. 

"That sounds good to me. I'll need to read the five stories you plan to publish, so we can progress any further... But in an act of good faith of Sam's work, we can talk about the details of the deal we will be making" 

"What do you propose then?" Mother asked. 

He looked at me for a second before concentrating on my mother once again. Then, he brought up a paper he had at the only clear zone of his desktop, and passed it out to my mom. 

The contract I assume. I planned to read it on my own when my mother finishes it, but I couldn't help to look at her to see if I could get any information from her face expressions. Which ended up being a pointless endeavor. 

"Ha!" She exclaimed "I see your intentions Clark. If this is how it will be, let's stop here. We'll take our leave" My mother finally said. And then stood up from her seat and walked to the exit. 

I could only guess what unreasonable things were written on there. So for now I just followed her up. Although for some reason I felt that this wasn't the end of the discussion. 

"Wait!" Clark finally said, "I admit the contract may be a little unfair, but we can discuss it, no need to go away just like that" 

My mother turned back with a smirk on her face, "I'm surprised, I've heard a little about your situation Clark. But now with you flinching so quick, I'm wondering of how bad it really is" 

To my surprise it seems that we were not in the losing end of the negotiations to begin with. My mother really played him hard. Clark's face said all I wanted to know. He was mad, but he still stayed quiet about it. 

"Yeah, it's true. We are in need of a success, and that's the principal reason to even consider to publish a kid's book, besides the publicity within itself that it could generate" He admitted. 

"I've heard that all the upcoming writers choose to go with other companies, after all you've had a bad record in the last five years" My mother added while the both of us took a seat once again. 

"You really did your research, huh?" he said with a defeated look. "... I wanted to start my own comic book company, but at the end all the good artists preferred to go with either 'power comics' or 'marvelous', and before I realized, the book company I had spent so many years to build up, was on his way to bankruptcy" 

It was kind of a sad story, but also an amazing opportunity. If I played my cards right, maybe making my own comics wasn't impossible for me in the near future. 

"So, in your times of need you thought on cheating your good friend of so many years" Mother said while making 'tsk' noises, pointing the bad deed Clark has made, "Sam is young, so there will be no problem if he waits a couple of years to get published... So now I wonder, what deal could you offer us, so we can even consider making a deal with you" 

Clark clenched his jaw at that, and had a serious expression on his face. He kept quiet though, it seemed that he was seriously considering the matter. 

"What do you want?" He finally asked. 

"Twenty percent, and the rights will belong to him completely" Mother demanded. 

That was a extremely good deal, especially for a newcomer like me, asking for that much was out of my expectations.

"That's... acceptable. But Sam will have to publish at least four books with us" He countered. 

"Are you joking? Two is the most we are going to concede" Mother said with displeasure. 

That was something we had talked about before. If I was successful enough, I could go with a bigger publishing company in the future. And my mother had a high faith on my success for some reason. 

Now there was a clear disagreement between them. I honestly couldn't care less if I had to write four books for this company, with the new deal offered I would have no complaints. But I knew what I wanted. 

"How about I do publish four books, but you'll have to publish a comicbook of mine... With the same conditions as the one with the books" I interrupted them. 

The both of them stared at me with surprised faces. "What do you mean?" Clark asked after a while. 

"Well... I have this idea for a comic, and I felt compelled to do it after I heard that you own a comic company" I explained. 

"Are you talking about the one you've made with Hanna?" Mother asked me with a worried face. It was clear that she thought that it wasn't that great. 

It wasn't a bad comic per se, but I do agree that it isn't the kind of comic that sells well with the masses, nor profesional enough to be a comic on his own. But I'm aware which comics are the best sellers at this era, compared to my old reality.   

"No" I said, before Clark could have asked about it, "I have an idea for a superhero comic, but I don't have the talent to draw. So I thought it was a good compromise that if my books are successful enough, Mister Clark will hire an artist to draw my comic, and then he'll publish it" 

"That's interesting. What do you think Clark?" Mother asked with a simple smile on her face.  

This wasn't something we had discussed before, so I was relieved that she just went along with the idea. 

Clark just sighed and nodded with a smile of his own. Even if he tried to hide it, I could see that he was happy about the deal. In the end, he wanted both of his companies to succeed, and now there was a chance for it to be possible.

Samuel Bane, a guy who was just a normal 23 year old in another life, was living in a new world with his memory intact. 

The new world is almost exactly the same as the one he lived before, except that the period of time was similar to the mid 80's that he knew by the movies and tv shows he watched.

This story will focus on how Sam enters the entertainment business. Getting his works published and meeting new people on his way towards an unheard level of success. 

The concept of the story has inspiration in "I'm really a super star", but it's nothing alike.

"Hello, I have this novel that I would like to publish, my younger sister made it." I say while handing her a copy of an enhanced Boku no Pico. I point to Jasmine who seems to want to hit me on the head.
"Ok, I need to read the first few pages ok!" She said while grabbing the book.

I'm sorry Jasmine, but the hardest choices require the strongest of wills. I walk out with Teemo and just walk around, I pick a couple items and Teemo got a lot of needles, darts, and a new bamboo. I look towards a book store and see inside to find an Icha Icha book. I pick it up and buy it because since Kakashi was reading it, it has to be good. I read it and I see a new skill from the book.

I hate this. That book was interesting, taught me things that Kurama didn't. I walk near a building and I hear a noise. I look into an alley but I see nothing. I go into there and use my Eye of Adam, there I say around 9 girls around 1 girl that looks like the leader with a sealing barrier.  I see the girl gropping the bottems of the others and all of them enjoying it and making weird noises.

The others are just bullying the harem. Utter destruction.

Honestly, I just saw two novels with kyubi being the main character so I decided to write this.

What if the original Naruto also somehow got a system from another world?
Follow the adventures of a sarcastic system which only allows 3 functions and Naruto with a moody fox watching everything he does!

The functions are Travel to different universes, (He travels to different anime and shows, depends.) Status, and Gacha.
I will not try to make Naruto too op but lets see.

Harry looked at the multiple runic circles and arrays he had drawn on the wall with a frown before he took out his wand and took a few steps away from it.

Then he pointed his wand at the wall and said "Titillando" the incantation of the tickling hex and a small purple ball came out of his wand, struck the wall and got absorbed by the wall.

He waited for the wall to release the spell back at him once again but when it didn't work for half a minute, he let out a sigh and put his wand back in it's holster before walking up to the runes once again.

He was working on runes that would capture and release the spells thrown at them so that he could put them on his robes but so far, he had not met with any success.

Well, he knew from the very start that this was going to be a hard project so he was not very disheartened. He also knew that he would not be able to reflect back all the spells but that was alright.

He would eventually make his robes immune to all the spells one way or another. If he was able to reflect back some of the spells thrown at him, then that would just an additional benefit.

He gave one last look at the wall before he sat down on the desk, taking out the quill and parchment and trying to create a new runic system from the scratch before Selena came out from under his sleeves and said "Someone is coming."

He put the quill down and looked at her "Who?"

The Horned Serpent waited for a few moments, probably sensing the magic that was coming in their direction before she turned to him and replied "It's Hermione."

He nodded at her and she went back under his sleeves.

He wondered if he should make some clothes for her that would keep her safe if he ever got into a fight.

He remembered from the movies that Voldemort had put a ton of charms on his pet snake Nagini which had the effect of making her almost immune to spells. Perhaps he would be able to do something like that for Selena as well.

As he thought about that, the door opened at an excited Hermione Granger entered the room with a huge smile and he instantly became wary of her.

An excited Hermione Granger usually meant trouble for him and he could only hope that she had not she had not started some form of campaign for the welfare of the Cornish Pixies or something equally foolish like that.

His wary expression only seemed to further excite her as her smile turned wider and she came up to his desk and dropped a whole bunch of paper in front of him.

"Hello Hermione." He said, his eyes looking warily at the large bundle of papers, wondering if it was what he thought it was "Can you tell me what this is?"

"Harry. This is the manuscript of the book that you told me to write." She said happily and he almost groaned. Almost.

But he knew that showing such a negative reaction to her hard work would seriously put a dent on her growing confidence so he would never do such a thing.

Instead, he smiled and patted her cheeks affectionately "Good job Hermione. I knew you would be able to do it within the time frame."

Then he looked at the bundle of 1500 or so pages and inwardly frowned.

At the start of this holiday, he had asked Hermione to write a book for the muggle parents of the muggleborns.

It did not need to be very well written or very entertaining. It just needed to be written with the facts about the magical world that is generally not told to the muggle population by the Hogwarts teachers.

It also needed to be filled with tips on what they could do to help their magical children and what not.

In essence, it would be the first book in history written by a magical person that would help the muggle parents understand the magical world to a greater degree so that they would be able to provide their children with better support.

When he had tasked Hermione to finished this job within the time limit, he had known that she would pull through for him even if she had to pull all nighters and had even allowed her to use the time turner with him.

And she had pulled through for him.

He could guess that writing these 1500 pages must have taken her a lot of hard work and time.

But he could not really sell a 1500 pages long book to the muggle parents now could he?

So with a heavy heart he told her "Hermione. Thank you for the hard work and effort you put behind writing this thing. But we cannot publish a book with so many pages."

"Can you cut down the size of this book so that it could be about 300-500 pages long? That way even the poor muggle parents would easily be able to afford our book."

He said 'our' book because he was going to put his name as the co-author of this book even though it was Hermione who had actually written it all on her own.

He had two very important reasons to do so.

1. If the book was sold by Hermione's name, then very few people would buy it. After all, she was just a 12 year old girl so what would she know about writing the book. He had a feeling that if the book was released with just her as the author, then she would get a lot of hate from the press and that would not be good for her fragile self confidence.

2. The idea of the book was essentially his and he was also the one who had given her the topics to write and research. Plus once she cuts the book down to about 300-500 pages, he would be the one who would make the final changes along with the editing part so he was essentially the co-author of the book whether he wanted or not.

Hermione looked a little crestfallen at his words and he grimaced at that. He had not wanted the girl to feel so down.

Cutting the book to 1/3rd of it's original size was like telling her that 2/3rd of the things that she wrote were not important. That 2/3rd of her hard work and time were not important. Such a thing would hurt any person.

It was essentially his fault that such a mistake was made. When he had told her to write a book for him, he had not told her the exact amount of pages that she needed to write and had forgotten how over-the-top Hermione could be sometimes.

He stood up in order to console her but before he could do that, her expression brightened up on her own and he gave him a firm nod.

"I'll do that Harry. I'm happy as long as we could sell the book to all the non magical parents and inform them about the magical world in more detail."

And before he could even say anything else, she took the bundle of papers from his desk and left.

And he had not even read the manuscript at all.

Oh well, it looked he'll just have to believe that she would do a good job in writing the book and not just fill it with boring facts.

Hopefully her parents would be able to help her with that.

And if the book turned out to be a disaster, then they could just write a better one during their second year and publish it next year.

With that, he put such thoughts out of his mind and picked up the carving quill once again.

It was time to get back to work.


Author's Note:- I always felt that the wizards should have wrote at least a few books about the magical world for the muggles so that muggle parents would be able to understand more about the world they were sending their child into. But such a book was never shown in the movie and it was clear that there was a huge divide between the people living the magical world and the people living in the muggle world.

So if I was wizard, then I would definitely write a book for the muggle parents and I have no doubt that such a book would definitely be bought by almost every muggle parents who cared about their children.

Keep calm and write something...

This is something that's written just for the word count to get the badge from the system. What's that? You found this book and is reading this? You must be really bored to come this far and into this dusty corner of the library to find this. 

You see, I made this book just to see how Inkstone works and how the chapters format when I wanna publish something and write a novel. Alright alright. You're here to find something to read whilst sitting on the toilet and taking a dump aren't you?

 Yeah I suppose reading something while doing your business does help it come out better. But this isn't intended for that.


Huh? You're still here? Alright I'll entertain you a bit more if you don't mind reading me droning on randomly to fill the word count. After I finished checking to see how the deal goes with publishing a chapter in a novel works, I found out that I couldn't delete the novel~

 I know I know, it's really weird and everyone is complaining about it, but there's no option to delete your own novel and so here you are, reading this vestige of a weird novel testing ground and exposed to my boring rant. 

I don't think you're still here are you? Now I'm really curious what motivates you now to come this far and I must say, I gotta assume you have some weird taste in entertainment. Surely there's hundreds of other novels you could entertain yourself with? Yeah I know, some of them are kinda boring and cliche, then there's novels with slow updates or worse, somehow stop being translated altogether. 

It really sucks to find a nice gem of a novel only to be hundreds of chapters in, and *gasp* you found there's no more chapters! How tragic, how woeful, now you don't know how it ends and the curiosity burns inside you. Don't you wanna go capture the translator out of anxiety to have them finish the book? I know I have felt that way, no need to be shy, come out and admit your feelings, I'm not gonna judge you, teehee~

Now I feel like I've written a lot now, but this not even 500 words yet, can you believe that? Since you're still here, may as well keep me company for a while longer, though I'm not sure how fast you're reading this. So what else should I say here? Should I crack a joke now? But I'm really bad at jokes. It's not often that I would chat with someone and start coming out with an  elaborate joke. 

Maybe I should be giving some life advice instead?

These days everyone seems to be in a big rush. There's a thousand and one things to do everyday and it seems we're all anxious and frustrated a lot. Sometimes it's nice to try and relax and adjust your frame of mind a little. Taking things slow and appreciation things around you is great for self reflection. At some point you realize what things you can change and things that you can't. Since you can't change some things, having an acceptance of that can help reduce a lot of stress on your mind. Since you can't change it, it's best not to be bothered about it. Sometimes letting nature take it's course is the best way out.

Well I suppose I must be hitting enough words for the badge by now, so farewell you all, somehow you made it this far. *Claps*

Jae-Sik hesitated in front of Gun-Ho's office before he entered the office.
"Hey, Jae-Sik, please come in. The guests already left."
Jae-Sik entered the office and sat carefully at the conference table in Gun-Ho's office.
"I talked with the lady president who used to work for KimBooks."
"That's good. So you found her phone number."
"My college friend who was my junior at that time happened to work for KimBooks at their editorial department. He also majored in creative writing like me. He made me promise to him that I wouldn't tell anyone that I got her number from him."
"Really? So what does that lady president say?"
"She said she wanted to have some time off from her work at first. And then, once she found out that the person who wanted to talk with her is the president of a big auto parts company, she seems to be interested suddenly."
"So is she willing to meet with me?"
"She said she would visit the company. It seems that she has already been contacted by so many swindlers who said they would want to start a publishing company with her. So, she wants to make sure that you are really the person who is running a big company."
"Haha, really? So when is she coming here?"
"She said she will be here by 2 pm tomorrow."
"That's good. You should be here by 2 pm tomorrow too, okay?"
"Okay, I will."
"Do you have any information on her? Like how old she is?"
"I don't know much about her, but as far as I know, she graduated from Ewha Woman's University; she should be in her late 40s. She has an extensive sales network in the publishing industry, and she has incisive eyes in selecting good books to publish."
"Haha. I see. Okay, I will see you tomorrow at my office."
 
Gun-Ho was dozing off in his office after lunch when Jae-Sik came with a lady. She was that lady president who was known to have the hand of Midas in the publishing field; her name was Jeong-Sook Shin. She looked proud and intelligent. She walked into the office with a long white scarf around her neck. Jae-Sik introduced her to Gun-Ho.
"She is the previous president of KimBooks. This is President Gun-Ho Goo of GH Mobile here."
She offered first her hands to Gun-Ho for a handshake.
"I'm Jeong-Sook Shin. Very nice to meet you."
"I'm Gun-Ho Goo. Please have a seat."
Jeong-Sook sat on a chair.
"I was surprised twice since I came to this company. At first, I was surprised by the size of the company. I was actually expecting to see a factory with several tens of workers, but there are 250 workers in this company. Second, I was surprised because the president of this big company is so young. When I heard that the president of a manufacturing company is interested in starting a publishing company, I expected to see an old man."
 
Gun-Ho picked up the book written by Professor Jien Wang—Economy Trend in China for the 21st Century and showed it to Jeong-Sook.
"A friend of mine in China wrote this book. I want to publish this book in Korea."
The lady was wondering.
"Are you saying that you just want to publish this book, rather than starting a publishing company?"
"Of course not. I want to publish books that are best-selling books on Amazon.com, starting from this book here. I heard you have discerning eyes for recognizing good books."
"Since you are running a big company, I suppose you have enough funds to invest. How much do you intend to invest in a publishing company?"
"How much do you think would be enough?"
"It will take a few months to publish a book, and you need to pay for the expenses including labor until then. You can assume that it will take at least 300 million won until a publishing company starts generating enough income to be self-sufficient."
"300 million won. Okay. With how much salary would you be happy to work with me in running a publishing company?"
"I don't remember telling you that I would work with you in running a publishing business. I just came here out of curiosity since I am taking my time off from work, and I heard someone in the manufacturing industry was interested in the publishing industry."
"I don't know anything about publishing business, but you have been in the publishing field for a long time, and you have extensive experience and discernment in selecting books. I will take care of the necessary funds. Would you work with me and start a publishing company?"
"I have a few conditions."
"What are they?"
 
"First, I don't want to be interfered in running the publishing company."
"That I can do. I can't interfere with something I don't know about. Moreover, I don't have time or energy to do so since I have another company that I need to run."
"Hahaha. That's the thing I like about. That's why I have declined many offers to work together in running a publishing company. I knew you wouldn't interfere in the publishing business since you have your manufacturing company to run."
"Is there a second condition?"

Gun-Ho shook his head.

"Secondarily, I know three people in a design company in Seoul. I want you to hire them."
"I can give them an opportunity to have an interview with me. I need to see them first before I can tell you whether I would hire them or not. However, since you recommend them, I will see their qualification favorably."
"I will provide you an office-tel that is located close to the Gangnam station in Seoul."
"Sure. An office-tel would be enough until the company becomes stable."
"Okay then. We will contact you as soon as we complete any administration work on our side. The capital of the company is 300 million won, and the company's name will be GH Media. We will register Gun-Ho Goo and Jeong-Sook Shin as the directors of the company. For any paperwork we need from you in order to register your name as the director of the company, you will be contacted by Manger Seong-Il Kang from GH Development in Seoul."

When Jeong-Sook and Jae-Sik walked out of Gun-Ho's office, Jeong-Sook asked,
"What does President Goo's father do?"
"President Goo is a self-made successful man."
"Wow! He is so young though."
"He has another factory being built right now; they will soon move to that location. The new factory is in Jiksan Town; he is building a highly advanced factory in a 5,000 pyung large land there."
"5,000 pyung? Wow, he is an amazing person. I don't understand why he wants to have a small publishing company though."
"Why not? He probably likes it a lot."
 
Gun-Ho made a call to his office in Seoul—GH Development. Ji-Young Jeong picked up the phone.
"How is the design company next door doing?"
"Nothing has changed yet, sir. The office is still closed temporarily."
"You said that you know well the person who worked for that company, right?"
"Yes, the person I am close to is the team leader of their design team."
"Can you tell her to come to the office? Tell her that I will acquire that design company."
"Sir? Are you going to buy that design company?"
"Yes. I will be there by noon today. Tell her that I want to meet with her at noon if she doesn't have any prior engagement."
"Sure, I will let her know."

-Inside a luxury cafe, East of the City of Manila-

Aurora 'Aura' Meyer had always been a failure of a writer. Her editor friend, Lucy Roces, was aware of it and this was the reason why even though their friendship was quite deep, the other party never brought up the matter of publishing Aura's book through their publishing house. 

"I say, Lucy, I'm pretty sure I'm almost there. My book is already half-way done and I only need another burst of inspiration to finish it."

"Are you still working on that same horror story? The one where the main protagonist is haunted by a black lady because of a curse or hex?" Lucy gave Aura a weird look. 

Lucy could still remember reading that half-done story due to Aura's nagging and it really left a huge impression on her. 

Her friend had the command of the language; however Aura, without being aware of it, was really not cut out for this profession as her stories were always bland, dragged out and full of loopholes. The first chapter is always one of the most important parts of a story. And Aura never failed to not realize that as her leading chapters were always without appeal. Lucy could perfectly relate to why no story of hers had been published.

"I plan to visit a really haunted place to get this burst of inspiration. My goal is to conduct my own research about ghost sightings and dig deeper regarding the very famous concept of voodoo and 'kulam'."

"Can't you just do internet research? You're a girl, going to dangerous places just to finish a book is totally pushing it." Lucy's voice was tinged with worry. 

"In this world full of billions of mysteries, if all people think like you, no more progress will be made and our civilization will be stuck to where it is currently at. You know, I believe that people should do more actual research than depend on others' already researched information. Having your own set of first-hand information is a thousand times better than getting others'. You also won't have to worry about accidentally infringing copyrights or patents. What say you? My dear friend, you can be relieved that no piece or part of the problem or topic is overlooked because if you are the one conducting the research, you'll immediately realize what you missed out."

Lucy, whose main source of income was to correct what the authors' missed out, frowned as Aura continued prattling.

"So far, it was estimated that only five million of the mysteries had been discovered. What I want to do is to conduct my own research and make some contributions....."

The aspiring writer then laughed. She grabbed her bag to bring out a book. "Hey, can you guess what this is?"

The editor merely shrugged. "We published that book so of course no one could be more familiar to that than me." It was titled 'Night of Terror' and the book was a compilation of horror stories Lucy's team had painstakingly gathered and edited to package into decent stories. Actually, more than half of the compiled stories came from a single person, a ghostwriter Lucy wished for others to have no more contact with.

"Some of the stories in this book are the same in terms of writing style and usage of vocabulary. I know the stories had been penned by the same person. Since you are the chief editor, can you arrange a meeting with the author?"

"No. He's a ghostwriter who doesn't want to be named. He feared bothersome people like you the most." Lucy answered without batting an eye. "You know, you have a rather good pair of eyes for editing. Why don't you just accept my offer and become my assistant editor?"

Aura laughed. "I'll consider that when our friendship ends. As for why, let me tell you. Friends are better having different careers to avoid comparison and some nasty troubles brought by competition. And hey, you said the author is a 'he'! How did you know so much about him, you even know he's someone who preferred not to meet bothersome people like me?" Mixed in Aura's tone was suspicion, as if the woman smelled some fishy odor between the lines. Unfortunately, her friend only raised her right brow.

Aura's lips twitched, knowing that her friend has no desire to continue that topic. She lamented how Lucy was so protective of that unnamed author. Could it be, there's a shady deal underneath? Aura's author's imagination became wild as stories starring her friend and the ghostwriter churned and turned inside her head.

"Since you are so hell-bent on doing your own research, when do you plan to leave and where?" 

"Tomorrow." Aura laughed. "I will go north. I intend to visit some famous haunted places like the Diplomat Hotel and the Laperal House. Then I will try to investigate if hexers and witches really do exist. Hopefully, the tribesmen near the City of Pines knew some information. Friend, wish me luck! I will not go back unless my book is finished. I hope when that time comes you'll reconsider publishing my book. Haha."

Lucy looked away. The editor actually was not expecting much from this failure writer friend of hers. Also, a secret she would never divulge to her friend was how her boss warned her about entertaining the publishing of Aura's books. She wondered if her boss had heard some weird rumors from the other publishing houses. She could only sigh as she studied her friend's expression who seemed too excited for the trip tomorrow.

[ Perhaps, when the time comes, my only option to show my support as her friend is by educating her on how to self-publish. ]

After her meet-up with Aurora, Lucy Roces decided to visit the ghostwriter behind most of the stories of 'Night of Terror'. She first bought some chicken and vegetables for dinner which she planned to share with the ghostwriter before driving his apartment located on the outskirts of the city. An hour after, she was already parking her red car on the roadside.  

"Nathan! Nathan! Please hear me out! I beg you! Why can't you accept me again?! I'm sincerely sorry for what I did before. Can't you forgive me already? I'm begging you, please forgive me. I still love you! I really do!" A gorgeous sobbing woman pleaded to a neatly dressed man. 

"I'm sorry. I no longer have any feelings for you. I'm sure you understand that when you left me three years ago for a businessman you hooked up with, we're already over, and will never be together again." The man's face was devoid of any emotion. He showed the way out to the woman but the other refused to leave.

Lucy watched as the crying woman held onto the man's shirt, "Why!? You're being so heartless and stubborn, Nathan. Can't you really give me a second chance? I swear this time, I will be the best girl for you. I-I will do my best to make you the happiest man in the world. Please believe me. Give me a chance, okay? I will love only you and will never betray you." 

The man called Nathan blinked. He eyed her with a raised brow. "But you already betrayed me, no? And since you already did it once, you can surely do it again, and again. I'm sorry but my heart is not that big. It can only accommodate one faithful lover. My heart is also fragile so I don't want to enter an insecure relationship where betrayal and jealousy can happen at any time. I'm sorry. Even if second chances are easy to say and give, we still have to see whether the person is worthy or not."

Lucy only got out of the car once she confirmed that the woman had already been pushed outside the gate. She did not immediately walk over though. Lucy waited for the other woman to completely leave before approaching the man. 

"Is she your previous lover?" she asked as she watched the woman cursed and said something like 'You'll regret this!' before bolting away.

Andrews lay on the hospital bed thinking about the past. There were a turmoil of emotions running over him and he repented it… Everything he did in the past. Even though he never meant to do it, he has been a part of it.. He had killed his best friend.
He could never forget those horrible days when he was influenced by those bastards.. they had ejected the poison of greed and offered him lots of money that his young and demanding self could not reject. He has reluctantly accepted the offer, to cheat his friend.. But he was unaware of the darker plans that was hiding between their offers. He would have never been a part of it if he had known of it all.
And when he lost his friend, he suddenly shook.. he could not do anything other than hide. So he hid.. For years.. he ate and slept on the roadside, spent those days like a beggar.. After typing the title, Pi danced around with excitement, and high-fived Galaxy to celebrate this great achievement.　　
"Wait a minute!" Zhang Zian could not ignore this. "Pi, do you want to write a novel about pets?"　　
"Eeek!"　　
Pi nodded. It pointed at him, at Galaxy, then at itself, and typed: "A novel about pets, pet shop and everybody."　　
Zhang Zian frowned slightly after hearing this, feeling worried about the future of this novel. He had not read many online novels, but his gut feeling was telling him that nobody would be interested in such a novel. For pet owners, they were so busy cuddling their cats and walking their dogs, how could they have time to read a novel about pets? For those who don't own pets, they were either not interested in pets or even hated pets, not to mention reading a book about pets. The most likely potential readers were those who didn't have time to own pets, but liked pets and wanted to own them remotely in a "cloud". But how many of them could there be?　 
Most online novels were about travelling back in time throughout history or another world, practicing Kongfu, writing poetry, being cool and kicking butts; or about being raised from the dead and returning to a city, then making monkey with prophetic knowledge and dating a few or dozens of women at the same time...He had never heard of a popular online novel about a pet shop.　 
Pi wanted to kill time by writing a novel. He was happy about this. But for a novel with so few potential readers, it may lose confidence after finding out nobody was reading it. It may fall into deeper self-isolation.　 
He knew all this, but he didn't want to kill Pi's enthusiasm at this moment. He smiled reluctantly. "OK. Will I be in it? Then write me as a handsome man."　
"Eeek!"　　
Pi grinned and typed: "This is hard..."　
Zhang Xian said, "I was just kidding. But, Pi, when is the beginning of the story? Now?"

Pi nodded and typed: "From last year, when you just returned to this city."　　
Zhang Zian thought about it. Maybe a good story can be written about it, such as writing him as a hero with hundreds of years of experience, but met his "Waterloo" and died, then was brought back to life. This may interest the readers and meet their expectations. He smiled. "OK. I'll tell you my story before coming to the pet shop... Do you know Wang Qian and Li Kun, the two guys working part-time in the shop? They always believed that I was a big hero during the time of Jindan. In fact, this is true..."　
"Eeek!"　　
Pi waved its hands and interrupted him. It showed him the nameless book, and typed: "No. Everything that happened in the past can be found in the book."　　
Zhang Zian: "I'm just an ordinary Joe in real life. Can't you gratify me in the novel?"　
Famous interrupted him as well. "Everything in the past? Does it include my stories in the Imagined Landscape?"

The websites have different styles. This is a book for a small population of readers. If you pick the wrong website, you may have even fewer readers..." Zhang Zian reminded it tactfully.　　
"Eeek!"　　
Pi swiped the tablet screen to unlock it. Then it opened up a reading app and showed it to Zhang Zian.　　
"Oh, Qidian Web novel, that's the site I used earlier for online reading..." Zhang Zian nodded. He didn't know the online novel websites very well and could not have offered more help. But he heard that this was one of the biggest literature websites. It might be a good choice for Pi.　　


Pi tapped on a menu button: "Becoming a writer", then showed it to Zhang Zian.　　
"A photo ID is needed?" Zhang Zian took a glance, and thought this was complicated.

Pi typed: "I'm a residential alien. I don't have an ID."　　
Zhang Zian's face twitched. He didn't know where it learned the words "residential alien"...but it was appropriately used.　
"That is to say...you need my ID?" He pointed at his nose and asked.　
Pi nodded.　　
Fine. He was the only one with an ID in the pet shop. Although uploading his ID was not a safe move, he was an ordinary Joe after all. Not many hackers were targeting him. The internet was a free space. If all publications were anonymous, it could cause big problems. The dark web developers might blend in and advertise their illegal business.
Zhang Zian took a picture of his ID photo, and uploaded it according to the website instructions. After identity verification, he finally created a new book and uploaded new chapters with his account.

Pi typed the title of the first chapter eagerly: Amazing Fate Pet Shop. Then it entered the text: On the magnificent East Coast of the motherland, there was a quiet coastal city called Binhai City. It was beautiful, with a large economy and a slow pace of life. Binhai had an absence of large industrial enterprises, making it a suitable place to live a peaceful life...　
"Wait a minute!"　　
Zhang Zian found a big mistake, and asked Pi to pause, in case the mistake grew bigger.　　
"Eeek?"　　
Pi gestured to inquire.　
"What the heck is Binhai City?" Zhang Zian pointed out the mistake. "Pi, did you make a mistake? This is not Binhai City, and there is no such a city in China."　
"Eeek."　

Pi pointed at the website instructions for authors to show Zhang Zian. 
He stretched his neck, gazed at the screen and read. "In order to avoid unnecessary complications caused by real information in your work, we suggest the that authors avoid using real information in your writing, such as geographic locations, celebrity names, well-known companies, etc.... What the heck is this?"　
That was why. No wonder Pi used "Binhai City" to replace the real name of the city. He thought Pi was making a mistake.　
"But this city name is too sloppy. You'd better make a note, in case the readers complain about it." Zhang Zian reminded it.　　
Pi nodded bitterly and continued: "In this city with a sloppy name, there was a small, unknown pet shop." 
Zhang Zian nodded with satisfaction. But the next sentence made him uneasy again!　　
"Who is Zhang Zian? Why haven't I heard of this guy?" He asked.　　
Pi pointed at him, meaning "you", then at the website instructions on "celebrity names". 
Fine...I'm a celebrity at the end of the day. I was about to be myself and win the heart of a thousand girls...Zhang Zian was speechless. But to avoid breaking the website's rule by using a real name, he had to accept this weird alias.　　
"How about you, Galaxy and Famous? And Fina, Old Time Tea, Richard, and Snowy Lionet? Will they have aliases too?" He asked.　　
Pi typed: "No. We are not humans, so we can keep our names."　　
After typing, it deleted this extra sentence.　　
This cheered Famous up. "Great! I always wanted to keep my real name, not using an alias nor becoming a substitute of another dog."　　
This is unfair... Dogs have more rights than men these days? Zhang Zian was a little upset in his heart.　
After writing for a while, Pi was stuck, and could not tap any more keys on the keyboard. It scratched its head, read the nameless book for a few minutes, then resumed typing.　


Pi was a slow typist. Before this, it was typing out newspapers, following a template. Chinese was not its mother tongue. It had to design a plot, sketch the Chinese words in its head, then type them out.　　
If it were someone else with the same typing speed, Zhang Zian would not have watched on the side. But Pi was the one typing, and the story was about himself. He watched with great patience, going downstairs occasionally for business. 　　
As the words jumped from of Pi's keyboard onto the laptop screen, Zhang Zian's memory gradually came back. He relived the unforgettable days with Pi's words. 　
The detail that Pi described were things that he never told anybody else. He had even forgotten some of them himself. He lived everything in first person, but Pi recorded from an objective, third-person perspective, just like an invisible camera floating around him, recording every tiny detail.　　
"I absolutely didn't have dark eye circles." He pointed out.　
Pi typed "Yes" with certainty, then deleted it. It waved the nameless book, suggesting the nameless book's record could never be wrong.　　
Zhang Zian didn't know how to defend himself. He knew that he may have dark eye circles then after a few sleepless nights in the hospital, and being exhausted with the funeral. He might have very dark eye circles, but he couldn't see it himself. 
After the debut of Little Celery in Pi's writing, he laughed and said: "If Wang Yaning reads this novel, my obsession with young girls would be made known... Oh, Pi, apart from the names and locations, is everything else real?"　　
Pi thought about it and typed: "70% real and 30% unreal, just like 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms'."　　
Zhang Zian laughed silently. Pi certainly read the four masterpieces.　
After finishing the first chapter, with a 2079 word count, Pi uploaded it with satisfaction.
"Take a break, Pi." suggested Zhang Zian. Two to three hours had passed since Pi started writing this chapter.　
Pi jumped off the chair obediently to stretch itself. But it was worried about the fate of this novel. The beginning was so ordinary. Would someone read it?
