Slade: Well then use more effort. So, did you figure out the answer to my question?

Kai: No, how the hell do you expect me to answer you're great philosophical questions?

Slade: I don't know kid? You could always, you know. Figure out the answers.

Kai: I hate you.

Slade: All you have to do is answer 1 question.

Kai: Yeah, and it's probably gonna be something stupid like "make friends to solve all your problems."

Slade: That's the answer.

Kai: THAT'S NOT A- I hate you.

Slade: A hobby you should get into is making friends. You will never be good at everything. Which means that you will need friends to help you. Especially in the superhero world. What if you need a magic problem to be solved? You're going to need friends, but not only that. Another part of making friends is something that was told to me by my master "the best way to defeat your enemy is to make them your friend." 

Kai: Sounds wise, but he's probably dead so not that wise.

Slade: Hey, you respect your elders! If you really want to know. He was dead before he started training me.

Kai: Wait a minute, your logic is backwards.

Slade: Kai, do you believe in magic?

Kai: No.

Slade: Oh boy. Kai, magic exists, superpowers exist, heaven and hell exist, gods exist. How do you not believe in this kinda stuff?

Kai: I have never seen any proof.

Slade: Oh, I am going to show you some proof. Tomorrow when you come home. I will show you how to use superpowers, but only if you find me, deal?

Kai: Hell yeah that's a deal!

This is a story of a kid who started as the son of drug dealers. That didn't last to long with his parents deaths happening early in his life. Kai goes through life dealing with death, and learning from those deaths. Life is a cold place, and Kai is trying to survive through it. Even if it means becoming a superhero. P.s I don't use only original characters. I use characters from marvel (Daredevil/stick) and dc(Oliver, Laurel, Slade). I also use some anime characters. All these character may be different from their original versions because we are in this new universe (my universe aka the new 62), and not the regular continuity.

The following few days after my return has gone quite smooth since I didn't have to busy myself with anything. I just lay on the bed and let the girls take care of me while flirting and talking about anything and everything. Sure, Natsu and company would come from time to time and create havoc, giving me free entertainment but they would soon be either thrown out by Porlyusica or be seen kneeling on the ground with the girls surrounding them.
Speaking of Porlyusica, it seems I have underestimated her passion for medicine. Or maybe I have underestimated her pride because the very next day I woke up, she came to find out the cause behind my injuries and why nothing that she did was working on me. The conversation was a bit short but I'm sure that I must have at least given her some closure on her medical skills.
-Flashback-
"So can you tell me why nothing I do has worked on you?" Porlyusica was there sitting on the couch inside of the infirmary with her arms crossed with the ever present scowl on her face as she asked this as soon as I was awake.
"I can't give you the full details but let's just say that what caused my wounds is not something anyone in this world knows about. Maybe Zeref knows, but I am not sure about that." I didn't answer her straight away and instead thought about what to say to her to get her off my back. In the end though, I gave her just a tiny bit of information so as to not damage her already wounded medical pride.
"Are you saying that no one apart from you and possibly Zeref the dark mage has discovered this thing that wounded you? You do realize that there are hundreds of thousands of people who go out exploring the world don't you? Why haven't any of them ever discovered this?" Porlyusica scrunched up her eyebrows even further at my words and questioned again. While this would be true on most cases, this is not something that can be discovered just by going around and looking at breathtaking sights and ruins.
"The wounds weren't caused by an object you know. It depends on a person's strength, comprehension and talent. The reason I am not giving you any information on this is because you are not strong enough. Heck, even Master Makarov isn't strong enough. None on the wizard saints are." Once I spoke up to here, I stopped since I didn't want to continue this topic any longer fearing that I might just blurt out the truth.
"Anyways, let's stop here. Where are the girls? I thought they would be here seeing that it is nearly 12 in the noon now." I changed the topic and sked her as I looked towards the window and then the clock to see it was nearly 12 and yet I hadn't seen the girls.
"They were here a while ago but I sent them out to have this talk with you. I won't ask you any questions anymore so make sure you don't come with a body like that since I wouldn't have any way to deal with such wounds. I'll let those brats know you are awake." Porlyusica stood up from her spot as she spoke and made her way to the door before going out. Of course, not before telling me to stay away from such wounds in the future so as not to trouble her again.

After that, Porlyusica and I never talked about that topic again and instead she had already left after seeing that I now had enough strength to act like a normal person and knowing that I could recover on my own after some time.
Starting today though, after three full days of being on the bed, I negotiated with the girls to use a magic powered wheelchair to move around more freely. Being in one place without anything to do and also having to stare at the same place for a long time can be detrimental for any mental recovery so I had to come up with a way to get out of that plain and simple infirmary room.
The wheelchair moves with magic power obviously and I had already gotten used to it after a few minutes of test driving. I used the wheelchair to go about inside of the guild to hang out with the members and have a stroll date with the girls around town, and I have to say that it has been working wonders on me mentally.
Because I had nothing to fuss about and relax, my mindset has become serene like a calm lakes' surface. I could do anything mental related with ease because my thought process was so clear now. And that is one of the reasons I have been able to get out of a good earful of scolding by the girls for so long. Every time it would seem like the girls were going to go off on me, I would start sweet talking and coming up with different topics to get their attention away from their anger.
Apart from this, I also oversaw Natsu, Gray and Elfman's training. They had come up to me while I was talking with the other members of the guild to ask for help in getting stronger. I of course with having nothing better to do, agreed. The following day at 4 in the morning, I dragged their lazy asses of their beds and brought them to the spot where I used to train when I was in Magnolia before I went on the last crusade.
I mainly focused on their physical strength and willpower with Elfman going through mental training more than the other two since he needed it to get better at controlling his takeover magic. The three had become stronger physically, though not a leap in strength like how I do. That is mainly because I can't use time to help them recover since my body has almost entirely been covered by the law darkness so I can't send it out to help effect anything but myself and that too for a minimum amount. But their natural recovery rate is already good enough so they did have an increase in physical strength, speed and stamina wise because of the workout I had them go through.
Aside from that, I had them do meditation. Natsu, as anyone would have guessed, couldn't sit still when we started and I had to go extra rough on the workout session on him to get him completely exhausted so that he could properly sit still for meditation. But after the workout, he would usually fall asleep when we begin meditation so I had to be right in front of him to hit him so that he remains awake.
Like this, I was able to get him to meditate while the other two took it easily. Next was more rewarding to Gray as I had them complete different puzzles and quizzes which can be turned into a form of combat oriented move. The puzzle was about forming the idea while the answer to the puzzle was the end product. Gray had managed to create multiple new moves because of this since he had the most versatile magic among the three.
And this was how I spent the first week after waking up from my after battle coma and it has been fulfilling if I have to say so myself. As I recalled what has happened during the last week, I slowly fell asleep and entered slumber to be prepared for yet another normal day.

He died.

He met god.

He got a cheat.

He went to another world.

He got girls.

That was the short way of saying what the story of our MC Ray Cross is. As for how, when, why and who? Well, you just have to wait and see what happens.

Theodore shook the card and turned it back to a hanky. Using the hanky he wipes the water and sweat that's on his face 'God that mask gets hot real fast'

tapping the table again he made the water settle. He picked up the cup and drank from it.

Glancing at his computer he saw how many donations he got and spat out all the water 'Did I read that right. £600,426 yep, holy shit I can probably move back to America tomorrow' then looking at how chat reacted.

Saturday Morning 4:56 Am

The only reason Theodore woke up so early because he had a nightmare where he failed a task and was placed on FBI's most wanted list.

Theodore is planning to use the weighted clothes for his work out. Before he leaves the house he needs to get a grasp on how it works.

He accepts the reward and is met with a   full body wetsuit, a pair of gloves and socks. Picking up the wetsuit he shimmy's his body into it. After struggling to fit into it, another interface like his system appears in his vision.

Looking around the screen, he was happy to find that it came with an instruction manual, reading it he got the gist of what it does.

"So I can change the weight of the suit by thinking about it and the weight Is only acting on me meaning no-one or nothing can feel the added weight, it's honestly just magic. The suit also warns me if I'm close to getting injured during my workouts, the gloves and socks do the same thing as well"

Putting the whole thing on, he looks at his mirror "I look as stupid as I feel, luckily it can turn invisible"

It wasn't just invisible there was no feeling of it, he changed the weight to 10kg(22lbs) and felt it but he still didn't feel the suit it was more like gravity itself increased.

After the suit was invisible he put his workout clothes over it. He initially planned to go to the gym to begin weight training but now that he has this suit he doesn't have to go anywhere.

He started his new weight training by changing the weight of the suite 20kg(44lbs) his plan is to add 10 every two days. Stretching his body he doses some light cardio before starting His workout.

Theodore began his workout with 25 bicep curls, 40 squats, 15 press ups, 5min wall sit, 25 jumping jacks, 30 sit-ups, ten pull-ups and 15 deadlifts he repeated the process 3 times before running out of energy.

Sitting down to have breakfast he makes a Twitter account under the name of MrHo0d, seeing as he wasn't gaining any followers. He went on to his streaming channel and linked his Twitter.

It only took a minute before his followers hit 20,000 plus. He was getting multiple tweets asking if he's the real deal.

One thing that Theodore always had a problem with, was social media. Theodore just responded with "yes"

He never understood the need to share "what's going on in your life" or how he feels with the world.

He remembers being told by his friends not too over think it and just posts the first thing came to him but it's that type of thinking that gives birth to stupid and outright weird post's. 

While he was thinking he suddenly got a few more followers tweeting at him. A lot of them was asking questions about his life but then he saw that someone linked a video with the Title "Talented Magician".

Clicking on the link he was redirected to YouTube video. The video was of a British morning news channel reporting on a video that went viral. 

The video simply talked about how talented he is and how he caused the trend that is pen tapping and his astounding magic performance, they also overly mention that he's a young Brit that made over £600,000 in a day.

This has been dropped. This is my first novel which had a lot of problems from the pacing, power scale and grammar. Read knowing that it has no end.

To be a star is a simple Idea but to turn a boy that's been secluded from Society into one is much more difficult. Even if you took on his body you still felt his anxiety, insecurity and more. It's slow but worth it.

The Mc is beta at the start as he is a character that suffers from anxiety due to his upbringing. Although it did take 23 chapters for the Mc to show visible growth that's just due to my naturally slow pacing.

Tanaga woke up early and slowly got up from the bed and let Ashley sleep in. He came out of the room to call Sato, who just came back from visiting his family. In only one ring, Sato was on the line, ready to take his order. 
"Good morning sir Jones. I hope ma'am Ashley arrived safely." Sato greeted happily even though it's not even 5:00 a.m. yet.
"Hmmm, I want you to call the White House and ask for a tour. Ashley should be waking up soon, and we'll leave as soon as she's ready." Said Tanaga while he is in the kitchen trying to brew some coffee. 
"Yes, sir! As soon as they are opened, I will make an appointed for today." 
"They are opened 24 hours a day, make a call now!" He barked his order at Sato. He's not a morning person at all. He needed coffee or else...
Soon after Tanaga hangs up the call, Tiny also arrived and saw him in the kitchen. He wondered what Tanaga doing in the kitchen was. What he saw was Tanaga opening cabinet after cabinets searching for something he didn't know what? 
With an unsure look on his face, he approaches his boss. "Sir Jones! Good morning! Can I help you find something?" He asked as bowed to pay respect.
"Good morning to you too! Yea! I wanted to make some coffee. However, I can't seem to find where the coffee beans located." He said as he continued opening drawers and cabinet.
"I see! If you don't mind, please! Let me do it! Why don't you go ahead and wait in the living room? Once I finished making it, I'll bring it to you right away." Tiny said as he grabs a pitcher and put water in for the coffee machine.
Tanaga listened and went out of the kitchen. Instead of going to the living or dining room, he went straight to the balcony to catch a cold breeze. 
He was astonished how breathtakingly beautiful Washington DC from the balcony of their penthouse. He could see the White House miles away, and he wishes Ashley was already awake so she could also see what he sees at that moment.
Since his wife has arrived, he can no longer go to the gym like he usually does. In the past, no matter what part of the world he's at, he always finds time to go to the gym and workout. It's his way of keeping his body and mind in shape.
As he stands there looking, he thought of just doing his workout right there in the balcony. He began stretching, and before you know it, he was doing push up.
Since his business dealing ended in Washington DC, their next destination will be in Houston Texas, where they have opened a new branch office. He had to see the business operation because he received a report that the management was corrupted. He needed to see it with his own eyes.
But before all that, he had to give in to his wife and tour the White House. That way, he could also introduce Ashley to President Grant, who had helped them with her visa. Once they finished, then they would leave for Houston to continue the business trip...

Just as Tiny was on the way to serve the coffee to Tanaga, he a cellphone on top of the coffee table blinking. He knew it belongs to his boss. Tiny lowered the tray and grabbed Tanaga's cellphone. 
Seeing that the caller was an unknown number, Tiny first wondered if he would let Tanaga know or just let it go. Then he thought it might be necessary, so Tiny decided to answer it before giving it to Tanaga to find out who the caller.
"Hello!" Was all Tiny said, he didn't mention his name. He surprised when he heard that it's a woman's voice.
"Tan ... It's Ohani, I need your help ... Huh-huh-huh!" When Tiny heard the name, he suddenly seemed to get burn and dropped the phone. As he picked it up, he saw that the lecherous woman was still on the other line. He quickly picked up the phone then turned it off so that Ohani couldn't call again.
"That b*tch sure never gives up. Why does she even have the boss's number? It must be that President Kai Hanada giving it to her. Hmph! There's no way that I would let you get in between them. I don't care if I get fired for what I'm about to do, but you will not talk to him." He mumbles while he tries to find the best place to hide Tanaga's phone.
He then picked up the tray with Tanaga's coffee and continued on as nothing had happened. He found Tanaga doing a push-up, and he secretly smiled before approaching him.
" 97, 98, 99, 100! Ahhh!" Tanaga then collapsed on the ground, trying to catch his breath.
"Sir, your coffee!" Tiny said as he laid it on the table. Tiny surveyed if Tanaga has noticed what he has done. He realized that he couldn't have because he was doing push-up at the time he arrived.
"Phew!" He let out a sigh of relief before walking backward to retreat and went back into the kitchen to drink the coffee he made for himself.

Ashley, too, woke up and when she found out that her husband no longer in bed. She quickly stood up and wore a robe before walking out of their room. He runs across Tiny, who was coming back from the balcony. He quickly bowed and greeted her with respect.
"Good morning, ma'am Ashley! I hope you had a pleasant sleep. You look very, well-rested." He banters, and Ashley knew it very well.
Ashley's face reddened as he greeted him back shyly. "Thank you! Brother tiny, good morning to you too! And yes, I had slept well knowing his right next to me. Hahaha!" She banters back as they walked into the kitchen.
"Where's your Sir Jones? Did he left already?" Ashley asked while taking a glass from the cabinet to drink some juice.
"No, ma'am Ashley. Sir Jones is in the balcony working out."
"Oh? Did he have breakfast yet? Otherwise, I'd cook." Said Ashley while holding the refrigerator door open as she looks for the bottle of juice inside.
"Not yet, ma'am Ashley. The Chef should have been here already. I wonder why his late today?" He said while he pinched the top of the bridge of his nose. He picked up the kitchen phone to call the concierge service desk.
While Tiny was busy making a call, Ashley spotted a bottle of orange juice inside the fridge. She poured a glass and instead of drinking it right there in then, she carried it to the balcony where Tanaga was.

Luckily for Jack the Government has a special gym for those waiting to go to death island. There were around 14 to 15 people there, but it was still the middle of the year so there was bound to be more people that will get to stage three. And even though Jack was awakened he couldn't help but feel as though he was weaker then a lot of the people there. When Jack walked into the gym he could feel glares on the back of his neck. They were obviously trying to figure out his strengths and weaknesses, but lucky for Jack he already found out some useful skills. It's only been a week and a half, but it was actually easy to learn some new things and because he had some help from the Government it was even quicker. One of the skills he learned concealed his weaknesses, it turned out to be really helpful.

Eventually he started to get strange stares.

"Do you see any weaknesses on that new guy?"

"No you don't either?"

"No he's strange."

Jack's hearing was also significantly enhanced from the awakening so he could hear what they were saying. He then heard something interesting.

"I'm going to go see if he's friendly or not, maybe I could find something out."

The random man came up to him. Before this man came up to him his mind went crazy trying to find a plan. He came up with one 'Befriend him and if he starts acting like he will betray me, kill him.' That was his plan, it wasn't a good one but it would do for now.

"Hey man I see your new here."

"Yeah."

"Just so you know there are some rules around here."

"OK, what are they?"

"One, don't mess with that man over there he could rip your head off if he wanted, and the only reason he can do that is brute strength."

It was like the outstandingly buff man new when he finished that sentence, because right after he ripped the head off of one of the training dummies and those where tougher than actual humans.

"Two, don't steal anyone's training spot, those are like their homes."

"And three, this might sound silly but, ALWAYS and i mean always re-rack your weights."

"OK I'll be sure to remember those."

Honestly the last rule made sense to Jack it would be frustrating if you had to search through a pile of weights to find the ones you want. Both the other rules also made some sense not as much as the other one but the man he was told to watch out for now sounded a lot more terrifying. In the Government buildings you couldn't use any equipment/powers you got from the wrist bands this was to prevent danger to the humans in the building. But the fact that he ripped off the head of a training dummy meant that he's obscenely strong. 

"So what do you do as a fighter?"

This man was really trying to see what he can do but Jack was a lot smarter than that.

"I don't tell that to competition."

The man seemed visually annoyed by this response.

"Also how should I tell you what I do when I don't even know your name?"

"Haha, I completely forgot. I'm Joshua you can just call me Josh though"

"I'm Jack."

"If you don't mind I would like to take a look around the gym and start my workout."

"No problem, and good luck."

Joshua then went back to his so called friend.

"Josh did you find anything out?"

"Only his name, also he doesn't talk a lot to people he doesn't trust."

At this point Joshua's friend was in deep thought. 

"..."

Suddenly his face lit up.

"What if we lead him into a false sense of security we'll both participate in this."

"Wouldn't that be too obvious?"

"Do you want to do it alone? As far as we know he has no weaknesses and we don't even know what kind of fighter he is. It could put us in danger if we get to the island and he decides to turn on us, who knows if we would be able to fight him in a one on one."

"OK fine let's get a plan together."

Joshua and his friend both left the gym, but Jack already knew what they were doing. As soon as they left Jack truly decided to explore. The gym had a whole track and in the middle of it there were lots of exercise equipment, Press-up  benches, Treadmills, and even plyo boxes. He doubted anyone would use those but he decided to do this for his workout for the first week.

4 rounds around the track.

Twenty minutes of jump rope.

A half hour doing various exercises with the dumbbells.

Fifty push-ups, sit-ups, jump squats, and fifty punches on each side.

He would then finish it up with a ten minute plank.

He would then intensify his workout each week. He felt as though this was a good workout and his awakening made it even easier to get stronger. After he planned his workout he did it start to finish. It was actually pretty hard but Jack needed a challenge. As soon as he finished he went back to his room. He really enjoyed the way his room looked, they let him personalize his room while he was there so now it fit with his personality. The walls were a dark grey with family pictures in frames on it, he also had a pride flag hanging above his king sized bed. He was even allowed to change the types of lights.

He took a very nice refreshing shower, by the time he got out of the gym and finished taking his shower it was dusk. His workout took around two hours. After he got out of his shower he found a nutrient pack on his table. 'Must've been while I was in the shower.' He actually quite liked them, this flavor was strawberry, one of his favorites so far. He quickly drank the delicious pack and went on his personal computer. He started a message to his doctor.

In this world it's a constant battle to be the best. Everything is legal. Kill more people get stronger, and rule the World.

Daniel did not know what to say to Samantha. Her eyes were very clear as if she was so sure that her plan would work. She waited for him to say something, waiting for his approval but it looked like he was also trying to study her just the same.

He wanted to take responsibility, after all, it is his grandfather. But judging on the look of determination on her face, it seemed like she really wanted to do this.

Seeing that Daniel had no reaction, Samantha leaned forward until she was on his level. And with her hands on either side of his face, she captured his lips. She kissed him ever so tenderly and lovingly, not wanting this moment to end. Her heart throbbed thinking about him and it wasn't because she was hurt, it's only because she loves this man. 

Stroking her back with his warm hands, he held her in place as he responded to her kisses. 

"I know that you want to do everything for me, love. And I appreciate that a lot. But I think this time, I need to do this alone." She spoke as soon as they parted their lips.

He stared at her as he tried to understand where she was coming from. He was about to speak when Samantha continued, "I don't want your grandfather to accept me just because you asked him to. I want to be accepted by him on his own will."

"How are you going to do that?" He said, tucking her hair behind her ear. 

"I... have a plan."

"How sure are you about this plan of yours?"

"I'm not sure if it's going to work. I just need your support on this."

After sometime, Daniel exhaled a sigh. "Okay. Whatever you need to do. If you need help-"

"I know, I will ask you." She said with a sweet smile.

"Good. Now let's go to bed, we need to wake up early tomorrow."

...

The next day.


"Come on, baby you can do it! Just a few more seconds."  With a stopwatch on his hand, Daniel cheered on as Samantha was holding herself up into a planking position.

She groaned as she felt the strain on her abs. It had been a while since she last trained like this and it was killing her every muscle.

Samantha had learned some martial arts during her teenage years. She had a lot of free time since she didn't really do anything else besides being cooped up inside her room, play with gaming consoles and reading any books if she wasn't playing with her computer. She was fourteen years old when she started to take an interest in learning martial arts after binge-watching karate kid movies. 

She had this silly thought that she wanted to be the one who kicks ass rather than be the damsel in distress.

Her parents found her a really good instructor and so she started to train a few times every week. She had built muscles and strength as well as discipline for the few years that she had been training. But when she got into college, she became really busy and so her training stopped. It has been a long time since she did some intense workout. 

Although she sometimes goes for a run in the morning, or do yoga when she feels like it, she wasn't like Daniel Cho who was diligent with his every morning routine. If he is pressed for time in the morning, he makes sure to do it at night.

"Ten seconds." He announced.

She groaned once more and just a couple of seconds before the timer ended, she already gave up, collapsing on top of her exercise mat. "I don't wanna do it anymore. I give up."

Daniel chuckled, "You were only two seconds away, Samantha. But you did great. You can do better next time."

"I feel like throwing up. My head is spinning." She rolled over and laid on her back. This was their second set and she already felt like dying.  

"Don't lie down, honey. Come on, get up." He pulled her up gently and she tried to stay still but her legs became jelly. Instinctively, Daniel kept her steady as he placed an arm around her waist. 

"Why are you killing me?" She murmured, closing her eyes as she tried to stabilize her breathing. They did a lot since the early morning, from light running to other Cardio workouts. Both of them were sweaty but neither one irked when their skins touched.  

"I'm not killing you, I'm making you stronger. You need it." 

Samantha chortled at his response because all she could think about was that he only wanted her to train to increase her stamina when they do another bed exercise.

While this was Daniel Cho's initial plan, he decided that it was also going to be a good thing for her to be in a better shape and train her martial arts again; just in case she will need it in the future. He thought that whatever may happen, Logan cannot always watch over her and he could not always be with her. This was his way of preparing her for something unexpected. 

Not knowing who their opponent was and how or when they were going to strike is the most dangerous thing.

While Daniel went to work after their early morning workout, Samantha was getting ready for her mission for the day.

Once she got everything that she needed, she loaded the things in her car and drove to Grandfather Cho's mansion. It was half past eleven in the morning when she arrived at the estate.

Reaching the gates, she was stopped by the guards and asked who she was. Since it was the first time that she had visited the old man, no one probably recognized her yet.

The guard paged someone from his walky and then Samantha was allowed to enter.  When she arrived at the front entrance, Grandfather Cho together with his assistant were standing by the door, waiting for her arrival. The old man's face was void of any emotion and Samantha started to feel nervous.

Grandfather Cho stood with a cane on his hand. He was neither smiling nor frowning, 'Well… this is a good sign, I think?' 

When she got out of her car, a few maids came to help her with the things that she brought with her and they took them all inside.

Wearing a simple pristine white dress, she looked prim and proper while she walked carefully towards the two old men. She swallowed and braved herself as she greeted, "Good morning, grandfather."

The old man looked at her face and the image of his first love flashed before him. His face became gentle before it became cold.

"What are you doing here?" He responded curtly.

Lifting the corners of her lips, she looked very charming. "I want to have lunch with you. I cooked your favorite food."

Grandfather Cho's brows raised slightly and he scoffed. In his mind, the only woman who was able to    please him with food was his late wife. 'How could this girl cook my favorite food?'

Clearing his throat, he turned around and entered his house. 

Mr. Jiang, Grandfather Cho's assistant nodded at Samantha with a smile as if he was wishing her good luck. 

The two of them followed him inside, Samantha feeling even more nervous now that she had stepped inside the mighty old man's den.

"I want to see her!" Jack yelled as he struggled against the maid who was holding him.
"Take them down."
The maids nodded and they picked up their young masters as if they weigh nothing before going down the stairs with them screaming and kicking.
Well...Jack screamed and Lyle kicked. They were both frustrated as their efforts appeared futile. When they glanced up, their father smiled evilly at them before slowly closing the door.
"I'm going to kill Uncle Callum! Where did he find these women!" Jack complained as he stomped back to their room, stopping occasionally to glare at the maids.
Since it was a rhetorical question, Lyle did not answer him.
The two maids were part of Callum's specially trained security team tasked with protecting the young inhabitants of the Du Mansion and like the rest of the team, they were deadly loyal to Callum and President Du and would only listen to the orders from those two.
Back in the room, Old Mo noticed the messy bed. President Du would sleep on the left side and the right side was usually left untouched. However...It was obvious that he had shared a night with someone but who?
Old Mo glanced at the bed and shook his head as he thought to himself, "It can't be that boy..."
"Just put the clothes on the bed. I'll take it from here. Tell Callum to bring in 'his'..." DX pointed with his chin towards the bathroom, "...stuff from yesterday discreetly. Also, prepare the sparring room and let the idiot knows that he would be joining me."
Old Mo was shocked to hear that the strange young man from last night stayed overnight but he kept his professionalism and did not overstep the boundary by enquiring about the President's personal life.
He nodded and before he left, he asked, "Would you like to eat lunch at home today, sir?"
"Yes. Make it something light and easily digestible. We would eat with the twins in the garden."
Old Mo bowed and left the room.
When DX went back into the bathroom, Kai Xin was already in the bath and she had filled it up to the brim with bubbles.
When she saw him, she beckoned him to join her. DX whipped off the towel and took a quick shower before joining her in the bathtub.
Like a little kitten, she immediately curled up against his chest. When he wrapped his arms around her, she pulled his hands so that they were resting on her stomach and easier for her to play with.
As she played with his long fingers, she glanced up and asked worriedly, "Trouble outside?"
"Lyle saw you. Don't worry too much about it. He didn't have a good look." DX took the sponge and slowly drew circles on her body, "We will have lunch with them."
DX felt the hesitation coming from her. Before she can back out, he said, "You will meet him as K. Callum is bringing over your wig so you don't have to worry about him recognizing you."
Kai Xin sighed and nodded, "Alright then."
They soaked for another 15 minutes before they were ready for lunch.
When he came out from the bathroom, he saw a suspicious-looking drone carrying a small bag flying around outside the balcony and told Kai Xin to stay inside while he checked.
Turned out, it was Callum who was controlling the drone. Stuck on the bag, there was a note saying, "Discreet enough?"
DX glared at the drone for a second before he noticed two other similar looking drones that were slowly heading towards his balcony.
The twins probably learned the trick from their uncle.
He quickly went in, closed the door and dropped the blinds to prevent the twins' drones from capturing anything.
"What's that?" Kai Xin asked, peeking out of the bathroom.
"It's fine now. It was Callum. He just dropped off your stuff."
They got ready and posed together in front of the floor to ceiling mirror in the walk-in closet.
Kai Xin was dressed up in a full set of Adidas workout clothes in black while DX was wearing the same set of clothes but in white.
"Why are we wearing workout clothes?" Kai Xin asked as she adjusted her wig to make sure that it would not fall off.
"We will be exercising later."
She looked at him with curiosity but decided to let it pass for now.
They went down to the garden for their lunch. A round table with a canopy had been set up for them underneath a huge tree.
When the twins heard that their father and his companion would be joining them for lunch, they quickly ran down to the garden when Old Mo called them but when they saw Kai Xin sitting there, they frowned.
They had expected a woman, not a young man.
"Sit down, boys. Where are your manners?" DX frowned, "Where's your Uncle Callum?"
The boys took their seats on the left side of their father before Jack answered, "He said he's doing some research for you and that he would see you later."
"Stop glaring at my guest. This is K, the person Lyle saw at the balcony."
Lyle kept glancing at Kai Xin who was sitting opposite him while he ate his lunch. He had a feeling that he knew this person but...from where?
He glanced at Kai Xin and caught her glancing at him at the same time. Lyle could not stop himself any longer and he asked, "Who are you? Have we met?"
Kai Xin smiled, "K, and we just met."
He frowned and asked, "What's your full name?"
"Just K."
Even though Lyle had a million questions to ask, DX stopped him from going further by asking about their night at their grandmother's house. When he recalled what happened, Lyle sighed angrily and glared at his brother.
Jack ignored him and replied to their father, "It was alright. We practiced three classical pieces for piano - well, Lyle practiced the violin - and then we learned about the history of the Du Family."
He then asked excitedly, "Is it true? That we are descendants of royalty?"
DX nodded, "We were part of the royal family a long time ago, but we are just normal people now. So don't go around telling your classmates to kowtow to you. "
Kai Xin glanced around the huge garden with its own artificial stream and a koi pond. Turning back to her lunch, she mumbled, "Royalty or not, you guys are definitely not normal people."
With a brow raised, DX turned to look at her, "Did you say anything?"
"No, nope, nothing at all!" She smiled and quickly ate her pork balls porridge.
Lyle narrowed his eyes as he continued to scrutinize the stranger in front of him, "Are you really a man? You don't sound like a man."
Kai Xin cursed when she realized that she was not wearing her voice changing device.
Unable to think of any good excuses, Kai Xin blurted out, "Because my balls are not fully developed!"
