I considered releasing the chapters one by one, in an attempt to give something for people to read, but I change my mind. This will be released as an entire novel/volume all at once, depending if I feel the story is completed or not, and if I want to continue. This way, I write at my speed, and you don't have to keep checking in. Have a nice day.

Tuan Tuan's figure disappeared together with the sound of his light footsteps.
In the living room, the huge TV screen was playing Lin Nuan and Wen Moshen's episode. Tuan Tuan ran back with the calendar and clawed his way up the sofa. He climbed across Fu Huai'an and sat between him and Lin Nuan. Flipping open the calendar, he poked on the dates on the calendar one by one.
"Getting married and staying with Mama?" He looked up at Lin Nuan. He was so happy his ears grew pink.
Lin Nuan looked down and caressed his short hair. Her ears also flushed red. Without daring to look up at Fu Huai'an, she nodded. "Yes…"
"Get married today!" Tuan Tuan bravely voiced out his wish, as he pointed to the date on the calendar with his chubby hands. He revealed a huge smile to show how satisfied he was with the date.
Fu Huai'an sat underneath the lamp with his legs crossed. He gazed at Tuan Tuan and Lin Nuan as they discussed the date together, and his striking features softened under the warm lights. He spoke slowly in his deep voice. "The adults are all off from work now, so there's no way we can get the marriage certificate at this hour."
Tuan Tuan looked down at the calendar in his hands and shifted his finger. He wanted to say the next day, but when he thought about having to go to kindergarten he looked up and asked Fu Huai'an whether he could go as well.
"You're not going. You're having your lessons as usual at kindergarten tomorrow."
Tuan Tuan thought about it for a moment and tried to squeeze under Fu Huai'an's arm. He raised the calendar and pointed at Saturday, and said to him seriously, "Get married Saturday? Tuan Tuan is going!"
Lin Nuan's gaze fell on the calendar. She realized it was Gu Hanyan and Wen Moshen's wedding day…
It was permitted to get the marriage certificate on Saturdays as well, and there was no harm in bringing Tuan Tuan along. Fu Huai'an examined Lin Nuan's clear facial features and asked, "How about this Saturday?" 
Lin Nuan snapped back as she heard his deep voice. Tuan Tuan was already sitting on his lap and staring at her. 
She already promised to go to Wen Moshen's wedding. Since it ended at around one in the afternoon, they still had time to get their marriage certificate afterward.
When it came to the marriage certificate, Lin Nuan felt both happy and a little embarrassed. She tucked her hair behind her ear and nodded. "Then let's go to the wedding that morning, and we can go collect the certificate in the afternoon."
Tuan Tuan grabbed her sleeve with his chubby hands and looked at her eagerly. "Tuan Tuan is going also!"
Lin Nuan looked into his anticipating eyes and said, "Alright."
Tuan Tuan was so excited his heart nearly leaped out of his chest. He leaned on Fu Huai'an's strong arm and gazed at Lin Nuan with his sparkling eyes without speaking. HIs pleasant mood was written all over his face.
Lin Nuan accompanied Tuan Tuan back to his room when it reached nine thirty.
He was quite obedient. Lin Nuan adjusted the temperature of the water in the tub, and Tuan Tuan took off his clothes. He then bent down to put a duck in the tub.
She stood by and watched him squat into the tub and wash his pale, tender arms.
Lin Nuan didn't have to worry about Tuan Tuan since he was so well-behaved. He could shower on his own and was more independent than the children of his age.
Seeing that he was done with his bath, Lin Nuan wrapped him in a large white bath towel, picked him up, and left the hot bathroom.
After his bath there was steam radiating from his fragrant body—he looked like a hot rice dumpling that just came out the stove.


With his engagement at hand, the most terrifying and legendary person of the legal world, Fu Huai'an, returns with a son.

Before the engagement…

He asks, "Since you love Wen Moshen, why are you in my bed?"
She says, "Because I cannot watch idly as Wen Moshen's woman enters an engagement with you."

With a cigarette in Fu Huai'an's mouth, he crosses his legs. Across the light cloud of smoke, he squints his eyes—watching as Lin Nuan's slim arms wrap around his neck; he feels stirred.

So a person can love another so passionately.

"You call what you did a kiss?"
"…"
"What a pure lady!" 

Fu Huai'an spews out a cloud of smoke and snuffs out the cigarette. With a mellow voice, he says, "Let me teach you what kissing is!"

But, what he teaches Lin Nuan doesn't seem to be only a kiss…

"Can I bring you to the person who harmed you? " Gong Mochen asked.
"Ah! " Qin Sheng was stunned. It seemed that Gong Mochen really did not lie to her this time. Otherwise, he would not have said that he brought her to the person who harmed her.
Qin Sheng walked out of the bathroom. She was depressed that she could not wear her dress. What was she going to wear?
She took out the man's cell phone. She could call Le Le and ask Le Le to bring her clothes.
She swiped her finger on the screen. It was locked?
In the past, she would enter her birthday without hesitation. He only had two passwords. One was her birthday in the solar calendar, and the other was his birthday in the lunar calendar.
But this time, she hesitated. Would he still use her birthday?
Her hand quickly entered her birthday in the lunar calendar, and the screen opened.
The corner of her lips stiffened. It was still her birthday.
A notification sound woke her from her daze. She looked down at the message.
The message was from Qin Zixian. "third brother, go find ye Wei tonight. "
Qin Sheng was disgusted. Qin Zixian sent a message to ask Gong Mochen to look for ye Wei.
His wife and concubine were in the same house, and he said he loved her?
This big liar was lying to her!
Gong Mochen walked into the room and saw the little woman sitting on the Sofa. Her face was much gloomier than before. He was about to ask her when he heard a knock on the door.
He strode over, opened the door, and took the clothes Nie Feng handed him.
He turned around and walked to Qin Sheng. "I bought you a skirt. "
Qin Sheng took the skirt. She had to have a skirt to leave this place and not see this man!
She went to the bathroom to change her dress and walked straight to the door.
Gong Mochen followed the woman's footsteps and chased her out of the door. "If you want to know who drugged you, follow me! "
He held the woman's small hand and pulled her to Yan Zi's private room.
Qin Sheng had no objection to investigating who had harmed her. Even if Gong Mochen wanted to lie to her, she had to at least expose his lies!
"I can walk on my own! " She shook off the man's hand and followed behind him.
Everyone in the private room stood with their heads lowered, not daring to speak. Gong Mochen's bodyguards surrounded them.
"President, we've already checked. One of the cups was found to contain medicinal powder! Miss Yun and Miss Yanzi's fingerprints were also found on the outside of this cup. " Nie Feng took the Cup.
Yanzi cried out in fear, "it wasn't me! "
Qin Sheng looked at Yanzi, "if it wasn't you, how could your fingerprints be found? Tell me who ordered you. I'll ask Gong Mochen to spare you. Otherwise, I'll ask him to notify all the media companies and freeze you! "

Qin Sheng nodded. "Yes. Tell me! Who ordered you to do it? "

Gong Mochen's face darkened. "It was Qin Zixian? "

Qin Zixian was too much. She had just returned, and she had already used such a despicable method to destroy her!
Wang Yu shook her head. She didn't know that Gong mochen would be involved in this matter!
In a flash, she suddenly realized the meaning behind Qin Sheng's words. "Miss Yun, don't worry. We will definitely not tell anyone! "
Even a mistress is afraid of being exposed, right That should be the case.
Qin Sheng curled her lips into a cold smile. She grabbed Gong Mochen's tie and pulled him in front of her.

(speaks to herself)

JESSICA 

 How do I deal with this shit? This man is really getting married.


JAMES

Babe, who are you talking to?


JESSICA 

I'm thinking out loud. I have to get ready for work. I have to settle this case between the two grandkids. 


 JAMES

Okay. I'll just wash my face while you get dress. 


JESSICA 

OKAY. 


[10 minutes later Jessica is walking out the door to get in the car and drive to work. She gets to work a short while late.  Once she gets in the office her assistant is waiting for her with her messages.]



JESSICA 

Good morning Emily.


EMILY 

Good morning Miss Williams.


JESSICA

What is on the agenda today. 


EMILY

You have a meeting with Mrs Jones two grandsons.


JESSICA 

Do you have the rest of the case file on that.


EMILY

Yes they are on the your desk.

JESSICA 

okay I found it.

         EMILY

I almost forgot Matthew called.


JESSICA 

What did he want? 


EMILY

He wanted to to remind you that you guys have dinner this Thursday at 8pm. 


JESSICA 

Can you please call him and tell him that I will not be able to make it to dinner this week because I'm very busy with cases. 


EMILY

I'm going to call him right now. 


JESSICA 

okay. 



[EMILY walks back to her desk and does what JESSICA told her to do.]


EMILY 

Hello am I speaking with Matthew. 


MATTHEW 

Yes this is he.


EMILY 

This is Jessica Williams assistant Emily.  I was calling you to let you know that Miss Williams is unavailable to have dinner this week due to the fact that she is busy this weekend.


MATTHEW 

Okay do you know when she is free to meet for dinner. 


[EMILY take the phone from her face and puts her hand over the receiver and talks to JESSICA.]


EMILY 

He wants to know when you are free to have dinner with him. 


JESSICA 

Tell  him that you have to check my calendar 


[EMILY puts the phone back to her ear]


EMILY 

Sorry about that Miss Williams just walked through  the door. 


MATTHEW 

can I please speak to her. 


[EMILY looks at Jessica and Jessica shakes her head ]


EMILY 

Sorry at the moment Miss Williams is getting ready for a meeting. I can check her calendar.



[EMILY  looks at Jessica's calendar.]


EMILY 

It looks like she has next week Friday available. How does that sound .


MATTHEW 

Friday sounds fine.


EMILY 

She will see you then. Thank you for your time. You have a good day bye. 


MATTHEW 

Bye

 [EMILY looks at up JESSICA and she shakes her head.]

EMILY 

Why are you avoiding Matthew's calls. 


JESSICA 

Here is the real truth. Ever since I found out that Matthew is getting married it just brought back old feelings. I feel like he is making a huge mistake. 


EMILY 

why do you say that. 


JESSICA 

Because Emily I'm in love with him. 


EMILY

You think you can tell him how you really feel about him before it is too late. 


JESSICA 

I just can't do that two days before he is set to get married. 


EMILY 

well what are you going to do. 


JESSICA

[sadly]

I just have to deal with the fact that he is marrying someone else.


EMILY

You sure that's what you want to do.


JESSICA

Yeah I do

[phone rings]



JESSICA

Hold on Emily. I'm getting a phone call from my sister.


[JESSICA steps outside.]


AMBER

Hey sis. When were you going to tell me.


JESSICA 

Tell you what?


AMBER

That you were having another baby.


JESSICA

I'm confused. What's going on?


AMBER

I found a  positive pregnancy test in my bathroom. And I know it's not mine because I'm 6 months. You the only one who was at my apartment the other night.


JESSICA

I'm not pregnant. What gave you the idea that I was Pregnant?


Amber

[sadly]

I just figured that it was yours.


JESSICA 

Well it's not mine.

 

AMBER

Who else could it belong to.


JESSICA

I don't know, but, we will figure it out. You want me to come over and talk.


AMBER

Yes that way I don't lose my mind over this situation.


JESSICA

Okay sis I'm on my way.



[JESSICA walks back into the office and tells EMILY that she has to leave early.]



JESSICA

Emily I have to leave early. I will be at my sister's house. If any important call come through you can forward them to my work cell.


EMILY

Okay Jessica I hope everything is okay.


JESSICA

I hope so too. I will see you tomorrow.


[JESSICA gets her things and leaves the office. She gets in her car and drives to her sister house, where her pregnant sister Amber is waiting for her.]

Clearing the duvet that covered his thin body Moss' eyes seemed to glow as he looked at the familiar room. 

"I'm back?"

Glancing at his hands he could see both were pale but intact. He still remembered how he had lost one of his hands in a vicious attack by a Ground Wyvern. 

However, was it all really a dream.. 

Picking up his phone the first thing he did was ring a number. Dialing the strange number on his phone he halted his breath as he waited for the message. 

[The number you've dialed is incorrect, please hang up and try again. ] 

Confusion could be seen on the smooth brow of the young man lying on his bed. His hand running through his hair only to grasp air. 

The sudden realisation that everything might just have been a dream made Moss wake up with cold sweat. 

"It can't be.."

Getting out of bed, he quickly opened the side windows of his bedroom and looked outside. 

It was morning and a beautiful day that made people feel lazy. A normal day. The sound of a horn beeping and the car driving past woke him up from his thoughts as he could hear something being shouted. 

And that was when he realised that he was still naked. The habit of sleeping bare had been something he had been used to growing up living in a hot climate.

He didn't feel embarrassed nor afraid, maybe because the dream he had had was too real. In his dream the world had changed and strange and dangerous things had appeared which made people think they were living in a game. Except in this game many people died, more than 99% of the world's population. 

Laughing, Moss slapped his neck as he stepped back inside his room. 
"Maybe it really was a dream. Too bad today is Sunday…"

Glancing at the old fashioned wall calendar on the wall, the day of the week was marked clearly in red. Another habit he had picked up from young, a paper calendar which marked each passing day with weekdays in green. Today was the 22nd of April. 

Turning to the small bathroom in the apartment, he turned on the water as he quickly woke up in the soothing drip-drip-drip of the warm water that splattered on his body. And that was when he noticed, his eyes stared at the small bead that appeared embedded on his chest. 

The colour of jade. His fingers brushed to his chest in the reflection of the mirror in front of him. 

Everything was real! He'd really gone back, it was not a dream. 

The slamming sound of his fist hitting the wall on the side and the loud howl of his voice as he shouted broke the silence. 

A thumping sound from next door quickly responded to his strange noise in the morning. 

"Hey keep it quiet!" 

Moss did not pay it any attention nor the pain of his fist slamming the wall. This time everything was going to be different. 

The one thing he had snatched from the hands of others had really been worth it. He had really gone back to the beginning, before everything had happened. 

The date. Rushing out of the shower he ignored the wet floor as he stared at the Chinese Calendar on the wall. Eight days, everything would change in that time. 

The day that was also known by those after as the day of Infestation, 30th April 2021.

Many things would happen but the most important was the sudden violent beast tide led by rodents and insects that entered each city. Chaos everywhere filling the streets and every inhabitable place that humans lived in. 

A small puddle appeared on the floor where he stood still thinking about the things that would happen. It was too late to warn anyone not that anyone would believe him. However he could still make a difference to those he cared about. 

Picking up his phone he began to prepare the thoughts in his head. 

The phone did not pick up but this was something he had expected after all they had just recently split up. They hadn't left things on good terms but in the end he still thought about what had happened because he knew it had been his fault. 

Texting a simple message he only left three lines. 

[Call me. It's important, I know it was my fault for not believing you. Don't answer any strange calls. ] 

In just 3 days a virus would spread on Earth infecting the whole population, a pandemic that did not even leave the Arctic untouched. Many people would not realise it but their deaths had already been determined from this single moment on

Natsu's POV

"Natsu! Why are you in my bed AGAIN?" I groan as I hear Lucy practically scream in my ear. 

"Luuucccy why are you always so loud in the morning?" I groan out covering my head with a pillow. She knows how sensitive my ears are and yet she does this every morning. 

I let her yell yadda yadda yadda, something about me sleeping in her apartment, in her room, in her bed while she was already there, whatever. Until I realize I have a hard on. A very visible hard on. Fuck, it's a good thing I'm under the covers. I turn over and bury my head under a pillow while on my stomach. I don't want to die today.

Fuck distract yourself, distract, distract, distract. I practically scream in my head. Mavis why do I have to love her? I ask myself. I peak out from under the pillow to see the red tint brushed across her face as she pouted at me. I bury my head again. Fuck that's why, she's perfect. 

I uncover my head and look at her, "Hey Lucy don't you need to pay your rent? Let's go on a job!" I watch as she froze and ran over to her calendar. I then jump up and run to the bathroom. "I call the toilet first!" I call out as I run in, locking the door behind me. 

I pull down my pants, because as much as I would love to ravage her and pound her into next week, I don't. I start masterbating thinking about her, Lucy. I hear her humming a little song as I'm sure she packs up her things for whatever mission we pick out. I think about her soft honey brown eyes that always have that spark in them like there is a fire that she can't let out. I keep pumping groaning a little. 

Or about how her golden hair glows like a fucking halo when the sun peaks in through her window on the mornings I'm lucky enough to wake up before her. I just watch in awe while I hold her knowing that she is always cold and watch as she clings to me in her sleep, I desperately wish that she would do that when she was awake. The feel of her soft firm body against mine almost to much in and of its own. Not to mention her luscious curves, her thick ass and large breast more than enough for any one man her waist a little thin but I know she eats and takes care of herself. I content myself thinking all the food she eats goes to her beautiful curves.

Then I would think about her sweet, soft ivory pale skin that never seemed to have a blemish on it. Wounds sure, dirt and general grime yeah of course, we work hard for a living. But a blemish? Never. I remember again how smooth her skin feels against my own. 

Fuck, not enough. I hear Lucy humming again on the other side of the door. Her voice, so soft and gentle except when I piss her off that is. Otherwise it was the voice of an angel. The sweetness of her singing seemingly stopping the world Mavis knows it never failed to stop me in my tracks. But the best was when she said my name. Fuck!

"Natsu?" I hear her say at exactly the right time I release my load and start to clean up. "Natsu are you still in there?" 

"Yeah, I'll be out in a minute," I say as I finish cleaning up, flushing the toilet and washing my hands. The rest of my senses having caught up to me; she had cooked and I could smell the fried eggs, bacon and pancakes the moment I opened the door. 

"Did you leave any for me?" I ask her.

"Kitchen table," she motions me away taking her clean clothes into the bathroom with her as she starts her shower. Yes, she had to be able to cook like any and every man's dream too. 

I walk into the kitchen and find about a dozen eggs, a plate full of bacon and a large stack of pancakes. I finish quickly and clean up after myself. I'm a mess and I know it, the least I can do is clean the handful of dishes that I dirty. 

I walk into Lucy's bedroom content to just flop on her bed and wait for her but as I walk by the bathroom I freeze. I hear the shower running but I hear something else too. My dragon senses just tune everything out one at a time; sharpening my already perfect hearing. My vision fades, I barely see the bathroom door in front of me. My sense of smell and touch leave quickly but I grow dizzy. I feel myself start to shake unable to believe what I was hearing. 

"N-Nat-sssuuuuuu..." I hear her moan my name. "Fuck, harder... Deeper... NATSU!" I hear her moans over and over again. 

Is she? No there is no way, Luce wouldn't think of ME like that. I think to myself. "Fuck me harder Natsu," I hear her breathy moans where I was standing. Why would she ever think of me like this? It can't be right she must have just needed release and I was fresh on her mind? Yeah that's right. 

After all she is perfect, even her magic is beautiful. She is a celestial spirit mage she can summon spirits to help her fight and when she learned how to use star dress she always fight with them. Fuck even before that she would use her whip to help her spirits in battle. She never used them as tools but fought with them and loved them like friends and partners. 

Why would she think of me in such an intimate way? I'm a fire dragon slayer I can eat fire, fight with fire and generally destroy everything I touch. Lucy on the other hand she creates beauty with her magic she can summon the sparkle of the stars which she only seems to do during festivals not in fights. But I mean for fucks sake she is literally writing a fucking novel. Which I can't wait to finish reading. I have read all the books in her apartment I even use her speed reading glasses so I can finish the odd library book every now and then. She is amazing, so why would she think of me as she pleased herself?

"N-Nat-sssuuuuuu!" I hear her panting moans where I stood right in front of the bathroom door. My hand on the door knob. I tear myself away. Fuck it I can't do it. I write Lucy a note in my already very bad handwriting claiming I needed to pack for our mission and jump out her window. I practically fly to my house. 

Lucy's POV

I wake up to Natsu in my bed again and sigh out loud. His chest is bare showing off his amazing body. I reach over and press my overly eager hands against his chiseled by God chest, my fingers slide down his perfectly toned abs and back up along his sides feeling the muscles role below. His perfect muscles gliding smoothly under my fingertips. I gently kiss along after my fingers, all but jumping on top of him.  I slowly start to nip along his skin careful not to leave a mark. Satisfied for now I roll to his side again and give him a hand job. Once he was really hard and he started to pant, I stop. 

I jump out of bed and yell, "Natsu! Why are you in my bed AGAIN?"

The rest seemingly a song and dance that really got old after the second time of doing it but here we are years later still doing it. Anymore I don't even know what it is I'm saying. Same thing as any other day. 

Finally I hear Natsu say, "Hey Lucy don't you need to pay your rent? Let's go on a job!" I pretend shock and run over to my calendar to look 'horrified' at the date. He ran into the bathroom yelling something along the lines of calling the toilet. I hold my giggles to myself. But go about humming as I pack for the trip; three days worth of supplies typically does it for me so that's what I pack. Ever since the 7 years stasis we were in I always pay my rent early anymore. In fact I'm paid ahead for the next three months and I have another four months in a small safe under the couch since I know Natsu will never sleep on the couch instead of my bed.

This song and dance is old I know it, even Natsu seems to understand that I'm not actually angry but goes along with it anyway. I finish packing and start cooking breakfast. Two fried eggs are more than enough for me, but I cook another dozen eggs, a plate full of bacon and a large stack of pancakes. Better to cook for the sexy man than let him eat me out of house and home. I think to myself.

I walk back into MY bedroom. I have to remind myself that it is mine and not ours. Fuck today is going to be a long day. As I walk by the bathroom I froze at the sound of my name. I grinned to myself. 

"Luce... Fuck so tight... So perfect..." I hear his moans through the door. I wait and listen as he continues to moan out my name and wait. "lllllluuuuuuuuce" 

I smile wickedly.

"Natsu?" I call out in my most innocent voice. I wait and I hear as he tries to muffle himself as he cums. "Natsu are you still in there?"

"Yeah, I'll be out in a minute," I heard his breathless reply. Seriously how did he think he was getting away with me not knowing?

I wait sitting on my bed with my fresh clothes and wait for him to walk out. 

"Did you leave any for me?" He asked his face not showing any signs of his very recent activities.

"Kitchen table," I motion him away taking my clean clothes into the bathroom with me. I grin really big leaving the door unlocked. I plan to have a little fun with you, Natsu Dragneel. I think to myself. 

I start by taking the quickest shower in my life and I fill my tub getting in about half way. I start to play with myself. Fondling my breast with one hand rubbing my clit with the other. I let myself get loud since the water was still running. 

N-Nat-sssuuuuuu..." I moan out his name as I figure he had to be close enough by now. "Fuck me harder, go deeper... NATSU!" I moan again and again. Not always that order but around that. I let myself get carried away building to a climax. Damn it I needed this. "Fuck me harder Natsu," I call out, panting out, growing louder. A large part of me hopes he runs in and just thrust his hard throbbing shaft into me. I know he won't he will probably run away. I get louder just in case.

Yuan Yuan finally recovered after spending six days in the hospital. His fever had subsided and he stopped coughing. He returned to being his lively self and roamed around the ward excitedly, tugging at his father's trousers one moment and his mother's clothes the next.
"Ma Ma, I want to look at fish…" Yuan Yuan said as he wrapped his arms around his mother's legs and looked at his mother. His father had brought him to the underwater park the previous time and he had seen a lot of fish that were bigger than him and thoroughly enjoyed himself there, so he wanted to go back there again.
After he recovered from his illness, all he wanted to do was to play.
He Xiyan picked her child up and kissed his soft and chubby cheeks. Her precious child was becoming more handsome and adorable with each day.
"Yuan Yuan, the fish at the underwater park have not been let out to play today, so you wouldn't be able to see them," He Xiyan said with a smile. Her mood had also improved when she saw that her child had recovered. It was also time for her to return home since it was already the 29th day of the last month on the lunar calendar. She had to return home to celebrate the new year with her husband, daughter, and her in-laws.
Mo Yixuan had already finished the paperwork to get Yuan Yuan discharged and heaved a long sigh. While he was happy that his child was about to be discharged, for some reason, he felt a little sad since he didn't know when he would have the opportunity to see her the next time.

He pursed his lips but he didn't respond and merely nodded. Then, he brought Yuan Yuan to a large room nearby since he didn't want Yuan Yuan to notice when Yan Yan left. Yuan Yuan would definitely kick up a fuss if he noticed.
He Xiyan packed up her bags, walked out of the hospital ward and left the hospital. 
She could hear the firecrackers being set off frequently outside since it was so close to Lunar New Year Eve, several families were already preparing to ring in the Lunar New Year. 
She arrived at the castle more than an hour later. 
The castle was extremely quiet and she couldn't hear a single sound. After she entered the living room, she realized that she hadn't come across a single person.
She went upstairs and opened the door to the bedroom after her fingerprint was verified by the fingerprint reader. The bedroom was strangely quiet and the quilts were neatly folded.

B. Logging Out
The 3 soft logouts:
1. Logout through the player menu
2. Through the notification that pops up every hour in-game 
This is to give players a heads up on how much time has passed. Players can choose to turn this feature off.
3. First contact at food, water, bed, or bathroom
This hints players that they might need these in reality as well. Players can choose to turn this feature off.

The 2 hard logouts:
1. 4 hours of consecutive in-game time
You were given a 30 minutes countdown! You had your heads up!
Go stretch for a moment. Eat something. Drink something. Use the washroom. It doesn't take much time!
2. When a player's body reaches a threshold
Whether it's dehydration, hunger, sleepiness, or the need to use the bathroom
The Hidden Logout Mechanism: 
If a player crashes the game somehow, then that player is logged out immediately. Similar to what happens to cheaters in PUBG. They get booted and banned. 

C. Enhancement
Enhancement in the game <World of Gemcraft> is like injecting water into a water balloon. 
The enhancement is the water, fixated at certain amounts at each enhancement level and type.
The item is like the water balloon. 
Higher tier items are bigger balloons, able to contain more water. 
If the water balloon is able to hold the water in the end, then the enhancement is a success.
If not, then the water balloon bursts, and the item breaks.
The blacksmith is the guy handling the water and the water balloon. 
In John's situation, enhancing a free grey shirt, made of the cheapest material, should be like injecting a tiny little water balloon with 500 mL of water.
It didn't generate an error during the first enhancement. Fine. Maybe with a lot of skill and luck, under special conditions, using special items, it's possible.
But how do you explain a small water balloon holding 2 liters of water?
This is not skills. This is an error! This should never happen.
So the following will run according to the logic of the gaming system:
Player GodMode233 has equipped a new grey shirt.
How should this enhanced grey shirt interact with the environment?
Calculating. This item exceeds the boundaries set for this item. Parameters are now in conflict.
It's like saying x is bigger than five in one statement.
But another statement over there says x is smaller than one at the same time. 
And x must exist. So the program does not know what the result is. 
But we need defined results!
So errors are generated. Conclusion: this is a flawed item that should not exist.
But the item exists! 
So how should this enhanced grey shirt interact with the environment? 
Calculating. No idea. It should not exist. 
But it does exist. But it should not exist. But it really exists!
And so, the system loops again and again until the run time hits a threshold. 
In the end, John gets booted out of the game. A report is sent. John gets perma-banned. Happily ever after. 

D. Attributes and Stats
Intelligence, Charisma, and Willpower got removed after the game broke.
1. Agility (accuracy of body control, balance, quicker body reaction to thoughts, movement speed, stamina efficiency)
For example, there is a baseball hurling towards a player.
The player with low agility:
Eyes: I see it!
Brain: hand, you got this!
Hand: I'm on it!
Face: Ah! My face! Guys... I caught it...
The player with high agility:
Eyes: I see its trajectory. 
Brain: Easy one. Hand, you got this!
Hand: No probl-
Head: Sorry guys. I flinched and dodged it. 
It is very unlikely for players with high agility to accidentally stab their nose with a straw.
2. Strength (damage multiplier, speed limit, the ability to carry weight (ex. heavy armor)
So if players do accidentally stab their nose with a straw, players with higher strength take more damage
3. Constitution (damage reduction, health total, regeneration, stamina total, tenacity, strength limit)
After players accidentally stab their nose with a straw, players with higher constitution take less damage and regenerate faster

E. Identity
Usually, when players buy an identity, they get an exclusive background story about the character in detail.
In game, the system helps the players identify characters they should know. Also, information about the relationship this NPC and the player, and the NPC's background information are given.
In John's case, he gets none of this help. 
There are 2 possible causes.
1. After the game reset, some items are removed, and players who own those items get a refund. 
John lost his developer drone. The drone had NULL for value. So the system got confused and had no idea how much of what to give to John. Basically a NULL Pointer error. 
What's the NULL Pointer error?
It's basically insisting on ordering a big mac at White Spot. Things can turn real messy.
2. The conversion of the developer character model to the normal player model. 
Shouldn't be possible. But it happened. 

F. So these are the background information in the early chapters. 
I won't add any background information regarding later chapters. Some readers like spoilers, some don't. 
So any background information chapter will look like (Mechanism: Bala Bala)
But then again, if you don't care about the background mechanisms, you wouldn't read up to here. 
And those who actually don't care... they can figure it out later, right?
