To those who can read this... I was opted by the mission of this damn system to upload trivia here... The punishment for not completing this mission is death so let me just upload trivia here freely... I know some of you might not believe me but I really need to upload here so don't mind me...

At this time of age, Online Gaming/Competitive Gaming  has been more and more accepted as not just as a simple way to pass time or a hobby but as an official sport and profession. There are millions of Games being played by many but on top of them all is Rampage Online The most successful and widely known MMORPG game being played all around the world. Professional teams worked hard day and night. Not stopping until everything is perfect. Pouring their blood, sweat and tears for a single moment that could changed their lives. A tournament is held every year to see whose team will show up on top and deserved to be called "Champions". The coveted title "Champion" not only comes with glory, fame, recognition and of course money, but would also open up more doors of opportunities to those who stood on top.

But those are things that Nico could only dream off. Nico has always wanted to be a professional gamer, but his parents highly disapproves of it. Respecting his parents' wishes after they died, he went to University and Studied hard. But his love for online games never faded. Living alone in a separate city, Nico took refuge in Rampage as he continues to go through everyday hardships that life throws at him. In Rampage he is know as the "Wandering Minstrel", who wanders around and give a lending hand to those in need. He is the top player in his class, which is considered to be the most difficult class to play, that they only consist of 5% of the overall players in Rampage. 

After graduating, Is he ready for what the world has to offer and courageously face it  head on?!

Well I would like to explain to the reader some details not clarified.

1-Sentimental Relationships :

_Volume two chapters 16, for those who noticed it, Mrs Megumi who had a rather serious personality had made insinuations between Nori and Haya, because she knew that the latter liked Nori, but Nori refused her advances, he also slightly liked Haya but he had the feeling that he was not going to survive after the Kages summit.

_He had a master-disciple and friend relationship with Shuyou, one could even say that the two had great respect for each other, as they were very much alike, but Haruto also had a slight grudge against Shuyou for giving up his life so easily, as he saw himself through Shuyou, he had the impression that Shuyou was the representation of his future, so he saw Shuyou's act as a betrayal, but he nevertheless fulfilled the promise he had made to him.

2-Personality 

_He is rather casual, slightly choleric but calm, he has a calm and sometimes childish mood, he is irresponsible in some respects, he doesn't care about what others may feel, this is often reflected in his actions, he says it himself several times in the volume Gintama, he and Shouyou are selfish.


_But he easily attaches himself to the person he thinks is worthy to be his comrades and is ready to do anything for them, this can be felt when he spent six months with Yug and Anna while both of them slowed him down in his search, us could even say that it was one of the few times he was not selfish.

Or when he attacked the Shoguna, to avenge the death of his dead comrades, despite the fact that he didn't care about the War of Joui.


_His capacity of infinite endurance allows him to have an imperturbable mind, this helps her a lot in chapter 2 and 3, he easily killed ninjas enemy then it was his first murder.
 
3- Abilities
_He has a great mastery of the epee, he even developed his own style which consisted in killing his opponent as quickly as possible in a slash.

_He perfectly masters the fire and wind Chakra element, he also owns the Shakuton, the Revival Jutsu body and the crystal ball Jutsu, He has recreated the six styles, he uses them very frequently Shave and moonsteps, the other styles, was not powerful enough offensively so he prefers attacks with his sword and "Gear" for his defense...


_In the two years during which he founded the DH guild, he managed to collect more than 300 magics, but it was mainly based on the magic of death, plant vitality, blade, space, spirit, fire....


Please note: Gear 4 has three main advantages :

1-Intantaneous use of six magic spells.
2- Gain of enormous vital energy.
3-Gaining great soul power.


Haruto can only break space with his space spell.

He can travel at nearly the speed of light using space as a rubber band.

He can fly with the magic of the spirit, which is very similar to the power of the Espers...

It's the story of a twenty-year-old man who died in front of his computer while trying to download a Plug-in "infinite endurance" for a game.

He then woke up in the body of a 17-year-old genin, not mastering any powerful ninjutsu or genjutsu in the middle of the battlefield during the third great Ninja war.

"Let's see, contestant number 36, please step forward!"
Ah, that's me. I got up from my seat and walked up to the podium. I stared at the huge crowd out in front of me before scratching my head.
"Allrighty then folks, then let the High Stakes Trivia game begin!"
Ugh, I really hate explaining myself, but let's cut back to noon today.

I yawned as I stretched my tired body, peeking at my phone for the time.
"Ugh, it's already 12?" I got out of bed and yawned again before putting on my slippers and making my way towards the bathroom.
It was now Saturday, two days after my encounter with that crazy boy. I ended up not going out at all yesterday, taking the chance to skip school and spend time with Luna. It was surprisingly uneventful after the events on Thursday, and I didn't have to deal with that crazy kid trying to track me down at least, thank God.
I finished up in the bathroom and made my way downstairs, yawning loudly once again. I stayed up way to late doing my experiments, let alone the anime I watched as well. Ah well, it's not like I have school or anything, and I already finished all my assignments that were due this and next week on Thursday, so I was already set.
Another toothy yawn erupted from my mouth as I reached the bottom of the stairs, and my sister peeked her head out from the living room, frowning at me.
"Big bro, how tired can you be? You woke up at noon."
Luna was now in her new moon form, with skin far darker than mine, along with hair so black that it would even rival Eris', and to top it all off, eyes black enough to rival the sky on a moonless night. She was also shorter and younger than me now, about 11 or 10 years old, meaning what little chest she had was now gone.
I yawned again, and she shook her head before pointing towards the microwave. "Your breakfast's in there. I'm assuming you don't want lunch, so I won't make anything." Ah, her voice was even cuter now than her normal form.
I nodded and yawned again, looking inside the microwave to see what food it was. Eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Yum.
I started up the microwave and grabbed some grape juice from the fridge and poured myself a cup. I set it down on the table and grabbed my now steaming food and set it down, while also grabbing ketchup from the fridge.
Yawning again, I clapped my hands together before silently saying our phrase and digging in.
"Can we order something for dinner today?" I nodded before freezing, remembering my predicament. During the Trial of the Present, I had used up nearly all my money doing things with the Prez, and only had a dollar left in my wallet along with a couple cents in my bank account.
I turned around towards my sister, who was staring at me intently. I shook my head and turned my pockets inside-out, showing I had no money.
"You're broke? Since when?"
I turned away and started to eat again, ignoring her question.
Out of the corner of my eye I could see her pouting, her lower lip quivering. Damn it, stop being so cute! "It was last weekend, wasn't it?"
I shrugged and continued eating, enjoying the food she made me.
"Bro…" She appeared next to me, giving me her best puppy dog eyes. No, you have to endure. Even if I wanted to, which I really did, I had no real way of making enough money for some food, and I wasn't about to explain to my parents that I blew all my money on a date.
"There's a contest nearby. If you win, you get 2 thousand dollars for winning."
I nearly choked on my food. 2 thousand? Who the hell is giving away that kind of money?
"There was a flyer in the mail you brought in the other day." She skipped away, her long black hair bouncing along with her, and brought it to me, a grin on her cuter than normal face.
I looked down at the flyer in shock. It was true. I sighed before bringing my hand up to my forehead.
"Please?"
"Argh! Fine, I'll do it. Stupid contest getting in my way of hanging out with my precious Luna!" I downed the rest of my food and looked at Luna and gave her a thumbs up.
"Don't you worry, I'll be back in a jiffy!"
Her face lit up in excitement. "Really!? Oh, thank you!" She embraced me tightly, thanking me over and over again. Yep, I am the best brother in the world, yes I am.

And that's how I managed to get myself into this Trivia Game. Honestly, if I had known there were going to be this many people here today, I would've at least changed into some decent clothes. I was so excited that I ran here in my pajamas. At least I read the flyer while sitting down earlier.
"You know the rules! If you get more correct answers than our reigning champion over here, you win the big prize! 2! THOUSAND! DOLLARS!"
The entire crowd went wild, as they all yelled and cheered for their favorite contestant.
"But, if you get a question wrong, you have to spin the Wheel of Punishment! Get three wrong answers, and you're outta the game!"
Well, this should be pretty easy, all things considering. If it really comes down to it, I can always, well, you know what I can do.
"Our reigning champion over here, contestant number 1, is the one who so generously offered the prize money today!"
"Please, it is no issue at all. After all, anyone who can beat me more than deserves at least this much!"
I looked over at the champion I was about to dethrone, looking him up and down. He had green hair, with green glasses to match. He pushed his glasses up, showcasing his gingerbread eyes off to me. He looked pretty normal, except for the fact that he was wearing a speedo and nothing else.
"Nice fashion sense," I murmured, and he nodded at me.
"Thank you, I always try to keep it interesting every day, so no more than 2 articles of clothing at any one time!"
"I-I see…" I said hesitantly. Okay, another weirdo. Well, maybe that's all he is, and doesn't have some trick like that crazy kid the other day.
"Hmm, we'll just have to see about that, won't we contestant 36."
"Oh, did I speak aloud just then? Sorry about that." I apologized.
"You did nothing of the sort. Now then, let us have an excellent match!"
"Alright, there will be 20 questions you'll have to answer. You can buzz in at any point in the question, but you must answer within 15 seconds of buzzing. You two get it?" We both nodded, and the announcer grinned at the both of us.
"Good! I would like to remind everybody that our champion has never gotten an answer wrong in all the time we've been hosting this event!"
Wait, seriously!? That would've been good to know!
The announcer walked towards the center of the stage, where she stopped and got handed some cards.
"First Question! What is the plastic at the end of a shoestring called?"
Oh, that's an easy one. And right when I was about to press it, the champion pressed it before me.
"An Aglet!"
"Correct, as usual! One point towards our champion."
"You'll have to be faster than that number 36!" The champion taunted me, and I felt a bit ticked off at that.
You want fast, then I'll give you fast. I clutched my key with my left hand, and the buzzer with the other.
"Second Question! What does 'HTTP' stand for?"
Got it. And I pressed it just barely before the champion, who looked at me curiously.
"HyperText Transfer Protocol."
"Correct! Number 36 on the board now! Could our champion have finally met a suitable match!?"
"I went a bit faster," I said as I unclutched my key.
"So, I see. Looks like this'll be interesting." He posed while pointing at me. "Now, let us continue number 36!"
That pose looked familiar. "I plan on winning and taking that champions' seat for myself."
"Third Question! What's the scientific name for a wolf?"
Seriously, what type of Trivia is this? I sighed as I gave the point over to the champion. Canis lupus huh? I won't forget that anytime soon.
"Fourth Question! What Shipwreck inspired Moby Dick?"
Just as I was about to buzz in, the champion swooped in once again.
"The Essex."
"Correct! One more point for the champion!"
Something feels off here. I glanced at the announcer and the champion. He's just always barely beating me, but it feels…
"I'm not doing it on purpose, but I guess I'm just remembering faster than you or something, number 36."
I managed to mask the confusion on my face. "Weird coincidence, don't you think?"
"Maybe, but you're a smart cookie, so you might figure something out. If not, no money for you!"
Am I really that easy to read? It would be one thing if he was able to do what he's been doing, and guess what I'm thinking, but is his perceptiveness so high that he's able to know the answer just from looking at me?
I shook my head. That's ridiculous. But, let's try something.
"Oh, you have a plan?"
"Why don't you wait and find out, Champion?"
"Fifth Question! How many earths could fit inside the sun?"
I simply stared at the champion, and he frowned as he looked at me.
"Go on, this question is all yours, or do you not know the answer, Champion?"
"Not bad, but this means you don't know it either."
"You wanna bet money on that? I'll bet a thousand of the prize money I'll win at the end of the game."
Everybody got quiet, and the announcer just look bewildered. The champion laughed. "Alright, then go for it then."
And right as I was about to click the buzzer, he clicked it before me.
"1,300."
The announcer looked stunned. She quickly caught herself and cleared her throat. "That's incorrect! Number 36, do you know the answer?"
"It's approximately 1.3 million." I said, grinning.
"Correct! Number 36 is now at 2 points, while the Champion is at 3 points! And, the reigning champ now has to spin the Wheel of Punishment!"
What's even on this wheel anyway? I watched as he begrudgingly spun it, and it stopped at a pie to the face. Other options were no buzzer for 3 rounds, no hands, blindfolded, doing 50 pushups while the game is still going, and reciting the alphabet forwards and backwards once among other things. Some were damn brutal to be honest.
"Now that the champ has gotten pied in the face, let's continue!"
"How could I be off by so much?" He asked, licking the pie off his face.
"Maybe you can't read me as much as you like?"
"Hmm, you are smart!" He finished licking himself clean, and his eyes suddenly gleamed with a dangerous intensity. "But, let me show you why I'm the champ, number 36."
"Sixth Question!"
"The answer is three!"
"Uh, correct!"
I couldn't help but let my mouth drop. He pushed his hair back, and he smiled menacingly at me.
"Hope you enjoyed that, 36."
I couldn't help but feel a chill race down my back. That was insane. Did he read the announcers face to get the answer? But how the hell is he doing it?
"Oi, this is just plain unfair now."
"Giving up?"
"Heh, sorry, but giving up isn't my style. Honestly, who would've thought that I would've met someone like you here? What a pain in the ass."
His expression suddenly shifted as he narrowed his eyes at me. "You're not worried."
"Of course not. I just thought this was going to be a breeze, but life can never be that easy, can it?" I met his gaze with one of my own and yawned before continuing. "After all, this is all to make my poor lil' sis happy."
"Seventh Question!"
"Aromatherapy."
"Eh! Um, that's also correct! Number 36 has 3, while the Champ has 4!"
It was his turn to be shocked. "How did you?"
"I'll tell you if you tell me. Or, we can do this normally."
"Um, I hate to ask this, but you guys aren't cheating, right?"
We both looked at the announcer, who was staring at both of us nervously, before chuckling.
"Sorry, we'll at least let you finish your questions from now on."
"I can agree to that."
"That doesn't really answer my question, but okay. Eighth Question!"

How is he doing it?
We were on the 19th question now, and we were both tied, 9 to 9. He managed to catch up, even after enduring the ice bath penalty on the 10th question.
He looked bored now, picking his nails with his free hand and yawning loudly. What little shock he had at the beginning of the match was now gone and was instead replaced with an almost insurmountable amount of confidence.
"You seem rather cocky for someone in the middle of a tie."
"Yep, I'll just get the next two."
I couldn't help but laugh. "I'm sorry, but I'm not exactly ready to hand over my title just yet."
"Nineteenth Question! What are the folds of skin on a cat's ears called?"
"Henry's Pockets or cutaneous marginal pouches if you want the scientific term for it."
"Correct!"
"I thought you said you were going to get the next two points?"
"Well, I don't have a cat, so how would I know either of those terms. I'll tie it up and get the win, don't worry Champion."
"Final Question! What is the space between wind-!"
"Interfernestration."
"Wow, that's correct! You're both pretty smart you know!"
I readjusted my glasses and cracked my neck. "You answered before she finished."
"She didn't say we couldn't. And I never promised that I would always let her finish. I knew the answer, so I answered." He yawned. "You got a problem with that?"
It was so quick; I didn't even have time to let my brain process what happened. Damn, this'll be a close one.
"Let's see, there's never actually been a tie before, so I have to peek at the rulebook for a bit!
"Alright, I'm gonna win three thousand dollars today!"
"If you beat me, I'll triple it."
36's jaw dropped so far I didn't think it would come back up. "Tr-triple? Are you sure?"
"You won't win, so it doesn't matter to me." This should throw him off his game now.
"Alright, I'm fine with this."
That confidence, where is it coming from? Does he know something I don't?
"Okay, according to the rules, if there's a tie, we take a user submitted question from the audience that people submitted before the game started. If there aren't any user submissions, then I get to ask a question! Do we even have any user submissions?"
"Just one."
"Ah man, I had a really good question prepared too!" The announcer took a deep breath and gave us her best smile.
"It was an honor being able to see such an awesome match! This is for all the marbles! Will the Champion reign supreme, or will the underdog come out on top!?"
"Go on number 36, you got this!"
"Bring 'em hell Champ!"
The screams of the audience roared to new heights, and I looked back towards number 36, who had an even bigger grin on his face.
"All right, Bonus Question!"
I've got this. After all, I win for a reason.
"Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Hand, Bad Company, and Earth Wind and Fire are-!"
"The answer is bands!" I roared out, confident about my answer.
"Incorrect! Number 36, do you want me to finish the question?"
"I would appreciate it; nice and loudly from the top please."
 Wh-what? How is that possible? Those are all the names of bands!
"Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Hand, Bad Company, and Earth Wind and Fire are all the names of powers in what anime?"
"JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable."
"Correct! And with that, our High Stakes Trivia game is over, with the new Champ being number 36!"
I slumped down onto the ground, defeated. I heard footsteps approach me, and I looked up to see that yawning face peering down at me.
"Cash or Check?"
"… How did you know the answer to that question?"
"I submitted it, why else?"
Huh? He did what? He's not lying either, meaning that he's…
"Telling the truth. I thought it was interesting that no one submitted any questions, so I decided to write one. Looks like it paid off huh?"
"You're telling me, from the beginning, you planned all this out!?"
"Yep, that's exactly what I'm saying. So, I'll take cash if possible."

"Alright, tell everybody what you call yourself!" The announcer yelled out, holding my hand.
"Hiro. You can call me Hiro."
She raised up my hand, signifying my win. "The new Champion of the High Stakes Trivia Game is called Hiro! Remember him well, as he has finally dethroned the 10-year Champion!"
The entire crowd went wild, and I say three briefcases being brought towards me.
"Cash, as you wanted." The announcer smiled and gave me a thumbs up.
"Great, well I'm outta here. Off to the bank I go!"
I went backstage and was about to leave out the back, when I saw speedo man waiting near the door.
"Sore loser?" I asked curiously.
"I didn't realize you were him. Who would've thought something like this would've happened?" He looked up, and his eyes had changed to a sparkling green instead of the brown on stage.
"You may have beaten me today, but I won't lose next time. See you later, Hero."
I felt chills race down my body as he said my nickname. Although, it felt more as if he was talking about my title…
I didn't even realize that was one of the closest encounters with death I had, not until long after I met up with him numerous times after…
And thus, his Tribulation of Intelligence was completed, with a single one left to overcome…

In a certain city wrapped in mystery, strange occurrences are commonplace. Freak accidents, strange incidents, and unusual people are found throughout this place. Many of the city’s residents go through their lives witnessing such events, and as such now consider it a part of the city’s charm. 

Our protagonist, who we will call Unnamed Boy for the time being, is a resident of this city, and tries to live his life in peace with his sister. However, he soon found himself in the very thing he was trying to avoid, and it was then he had a chance encounter with the Silver Haired Girl. This encounter sparks a series of events that lead to a grand adventure through time!

After dinner finish, we still sit down in the dining room to have a family talk as usual. This time Ming Er is the one who starts the conversation. She starts by asking her brother about her friend that just visit her
"Brother, do you remember my friend, A Yun?"
"She's your childhood friend right? The one always asks for candy when we meet?"
"Ahahaha, that's her, brother. But now she will not asks for candy anymore. She already grew up, and she just visits me this afternoon"
"Hmm, it's been a while you haven't met her right? How is she?"
"She just graduates from her diploma course in the college, brother, and now back to our village"
"That's good, why you suddenly talk about her?"
"She's still single, brother, and not have a boyfriend. You also still single, why don't you start dating her?"
"Hey, are you trying to match up your brother with your friend?"
"Tee hee~, she's quite pretty, brother. You'll be surprised when sees her again, and you already knew her, so why not?"
"That's right son. You never bring any girl home and introduced as your girlfriend. Aren't you supposed to already married at your age? Your sister even already married, when it's yours? I can't wait to have another grandchild from you"
"Hahaha….Let's see how about that later dad"
"Brother, you can visit her and say congratulation for her graduation. Bring some gift for her too"
"I say later, my dear sister. You look so insist, did A Yun promise you something?"
"Ahaha…no brother, not at all. I just want you to have someone to take care of you. You know, like me and hubby"
"Fine, I see her tomorrow. Satisfied?"
"Tee hee~, yes, I'm satisfied, brother"
Ming Er makes deep nodded and smile mischievously. Her father and mother only can laugh when seeing her like this.
"Oh, right brother You. This food truck, do you plan to operated day and night or only at days? If you want to use that days and night, you should consider adding a generator set to the truck to bring some light"
"I currently planning only operating at daylight brother He, if this business goes well, I'm thinking to open the restaurant at night only to serve dinner"
"Alright, you're the boss"
After that, there's nothing important to discuss, just some small talk about daily matter and trivia things. And after all this talk over, they go to their respective room to rest. I and Ming Er clean up the table and return the eating utensil to the kitchen. When we washing the dishes, I see Ming Er looks a bit restless, like something bothering her mind. So I hug her from behind and whisper in her ear, asking what happen to her
"Wifey, is there something bothering your mind? You look restless tonight"
"Mmm…hubby, you notice that?"
"There's nothing about you that missed from my sight, wifey"
I reply her while kissing her neck from  behind which make her wriggle from ticklish sensation in her neck
"Um, we supposed to be at home right now, hubby and having fun together. You promise to spoil me tonight remember?"
I turn her back so we can see our face, I lower my head and gently kiss her.
"I always remember my promise wifey, how about I spoil you here?"
"You can't hubby, my parent's room is next to my room. I'm afraid they will hear our voices and…I'm will ashamed if they heard that"
I hug Ming Er and lift her then carry her before making her sit on the kitchen table like I did in the morning. I'm cling our forehead together, rub my nose against her nose, before peck on her small lips.
"How about we serve them some tea, and put sleeping pills on that tea? They will sleep and not heard anything from our room"
"Huubbyyyyy!!!"
Ming Er pinching my cheek with both of her hand and pull it wider
"Sowwrryy…just kidding wifey"
Hearing me apologize, she smiling and release her pinching on my cheek and giggling
"I know hubby doesn't mean that"
"Then why you pinching my cheek"
"I'm just curious how hubby will look when I'm pinching your cheek like in the cartoon movies, but I don't have reason to do that. Just now, hubby gives me a reason to do that, hihihi"
Oh my, how naughty she is. So I retaliate by pinching her cheek too, but not a powerful pinch, only gentle pinch that makes her lips open which make me want to kiss it and insert my tongue into it.
"Don't think I can't do that to you wifey, here your punishment...*smooch*"
Ming Er didn't resist and accept her punishment with joyful expression. She closed her eyes and let my tongue playing with her tongue inside her mouth. Her idle hands start to rub my lower parts which make me fervently to kiss her more
"Humm….hubby…we can't do that here…hmmp"
"Then where to, wifey? You don't want to do that here nor in your room, the bathroom is too narrow, unlike bathroom in our home"
"Let's do in my room, but don't make loud sounds. Can you do that hubby?"
"You want to put ducktapes in our mouth?"
Ming Er chuckled after hearing my question.
"Silly hubby, we have something better than ducktapes. Here…"
Her finger's tracing my lips. I understand with what she means by that. I nodded as sign of understand

Napatingin siya sa kapatid niya na hindi namalayang pumasok sa kinaroroonan niya. May pinindot siya na sa threadmill na kasalukuyang tinatakbuhan niya saka kinuha ang towel na nakasabit sa gilid noon. Pinunasan niya gamit iyon ang pawis sa mukha niya. Ang buong akala niya walang gano'n sa bahay ng mga ito at kakailangin pa niya magpunta sa gym malapit doon para lang mag-exercise. Kahit kasi nasa bakasyon, hindi pwede na pabayaan niya ang diet niya. He needs to maintained the wait he have before coming home even if his mom feed him more than three times a day.



Wala yata silang ginawa maghapon mula nang dumating siya kung 'di ang kumain. Fast food, restaurant food and home cook food, iyan ang mga kailangan niya i-burn ngayon. Mag-ta-tatlongpung minuto na siya tumatakbo sa threadmill at pakiramdam kulang pa iyon. In Spain, he spent two hours of his day working out that's why he has a well built and healthy body. 



"I only added book hauling in my itinerary since you wouldn't give me your copies of her books," aniya sa kapatid.



Nakita niya makahulugang pagngiti nito. Kanina pa siya nito inaasar tungkol kay Cathy na favorite writer nito. Pinakita nito sa kanya ang lahat ng librong sinulat ng ka-chat niya kasama na iyong dalawang erotic romance. He want to buy all of her book and bring to Spain when he came back. 



"Then, we will hit the road to Baguio City to hike and meet the famous Apo Whang Od."



"Okay, tell me if you're ready to book haul. By the way, Cathy will have her book signing event next week, want to come so you can meet her?"



Tuluyan niya pinatay ang threadmill saka bumaba doon at dinampot ang tumbler saka uminom doon. His itinerary already fixed and he couldn't alter it just like what he did today. Tiningnan niya ang kapatid niya at napansin niyang hinihintay nito ang sagot niya.



"I'll meet her next time. Maybe on the holiday seasons since it will be my longest vacation ever."



"Where did you two meet?" Curious na tanong nito sa kanya.



"Dating app." Simple niyang sagot. "She didn't reply anymore since her last message to me. What's bwisit by the way?"



"It's a Tagalog cursed word." Tugon ng kapatid niya.



"Did she cuss on me?" Hindi siya makapaniwala na iyon pala ang ibig sabihin noon. Narinig niya ang mahinang pagtawa ng kanyang kapatid. "What's funny?"



"Nothing. One trivia about Cathy that I can give is she loves to cursed." Iyon lang at nagpaalam na ito sa kanya.



Dinampot niya ang kanyang cellphone at tiningnan kung nagreply na ba ulit si Cathy pero wala. He heaved a deep sigh after putting his phone down. Muli siyang tumayo para tumakbo ulit sa threadmill.



After his morning rituals, he and Daphne went to a mall nearby. Doon sila tumingin ng mga librong sinulat ni Cathy. Out of fifteen published books, they only got ten. Wala na yung lima at hindi pa masabi ng bookstore kung kailan ma-re-reprint ang mga iyon. Sa sampung libro na nabili niya kasama na doon yung dalawang erotic romance na sinulat nito.



He caught everyone's attention because he bought those kinds of books. Daphne can't stop smiling because of what he did. Akala nito hindi siya seryoso nung sabihin niyang bibilhin niya nga lahat. That's the first step he can do to know more about Cathy even if its more like knowing her alter ego than the real Catherine Centeno.



"Are you just curious to Cathy or you like her na?" Another curious question from Daphne. Pabalik na silang dalawa sa bahay para sunduin naman ang mga mama nila at papa nito. Sabay sabay silang aakyat sa Baguio at mag-stay sila doon sa loob ng dalawang araw. "Its really odd. You did buy almost of her published books."



"Just curious. We haven't talked much in chat so I can't say I like her already," he said as he fixed hair and wear a cap.



Girls can't stop glorifying his looks while they're in the mall. Sabi ni Daphne, gusto daw ng mga babae ang pagdadala niya sa sarili niya. He's just wearing a plain white t-shirt, ripped blue jeans and white sneakers. Mainit sa Pilipinas compare sa Spain at sobra siyang nahirapan matulog nang nagdaang gabi.



"If you'll see her in person, for sure you'll go head over heels at her," wika ni Daphne sa kanya habang ang atensyon nito'y nasa daan. Nang malaman niyang kilala nito si Cathy, napanatag siya kahit papaano na totoong tao naman pala ang kausap niya at hindi din isang poser. "But Cathy is far different from Katie Anne, kuya,"



"What do you mean?"



Daphne giggles, "discover it for yourself,"




CATHY can't explain her feelings right after she saw a photo sent by her avid reader Daphne Marquez. It was a photo of Mikhail buying ten of her published books SM North Edsa. Napag-alaman niyang kapatid ni Mikhail si Daphne sa ina. He looked hot in his outfit. Kahit simpleng puting t shirt, ripped blue jeans at white sneakers. Kulang talaga ang salitang gwapo para i-describe ito.



Nag-log in siya sa Swiped account niya at matamang pinadalhan ng message si Mikhail. She was not expecting for a reply but Mikhail reply back after a minute.



Mikhail: I still have to buy those five remaining books that you wrote.



Cathy: You can't read those books in one sitting.



Mikhail: Haha! Yeah but I'll buy it still. By the way, we're heading to Baguio City right now. Any food suggestions that I should try? 



Napaisip siya bigla. Kasama naman nito ang kapatid nito at sigurado siya na ito na din ang tour guide ni Mikhail doon. Napalabi siya. When was the last time she went there? Book signing event pa 'yon sa isang mall doon. Hindi naman sila nakakain doon dahil pulos pag-gala ang inatupag nila ng mga co-writer niya after ng book signing event.



Cathy: I didn't have a chance eat there since all we do was to roam around and bought pasalubong for our relatives. 



Mikhail: I see but what is pasalubong? 



Naalala niyang kaunti lang pala ang alam nitong Tagalog na salita. Dapat siguro paturuan niya ito kay Daphne para naman hindi na dumudugo ang ilong niya kaka-english. Nauubsan siya ng baon kapag kausap ito. Kaya madalas, hindi na niya ito ni-re-reply-an. She tucked her hair behind her ears then type a reply.



Cathy: Those are the things you bought for your friends and relatives.



Mikhail: I see. Thank you for explaining it! 



Mikhail: I told Daphne that I want to know you more but I can't alter my itinerary now.



Mikhail: I'll be back on holiday seasons. Hoping that I could talk to you in person.



Cathy: Asked Daphne to teach you how to speak Tagalog. I might die if I talk to you in english for whole day. 



Mikhail: Haha! Noted on that but I prefer if you going to teach me.



Cathy: My service is quite expensive. 



Mikhail: I can offer myself as a collateral for every language lesson we will have.



Nag-init ang magkabila niyang pisngi matapos mabasa iyong reply ni Mikhail. Hindi niya alam paano ito re-reply-an. Matamang niyang tinitigan ang cellphone niya. Tanging salitang na-reply niya. Bahala na itong magtanong kung kanino kung ano ibig sabihin 'non.

Dressed in an adorable little white and burgundy school uniform featuring what will now be her new school, Jane straightens herself, and contracts her stomach. Her hands rest on her abdomen and then move up to her little chest. Satisfied, a new little laugh resounds in this bathroom filled with the smell of pungent incense.

For a moment, Jane observes the long legs thin and sexy of the little girl reflected in the mirror and she can't help but compare them with her old hams. This comparison is too painful and a little depressed, she closes her eyes to escape this cruel reality.

In front of the large backlit mirror in the bathroom, Jane's nimble hands now run through her long blonde hair.

If it were up to her, new Jane would cut very short all those yellow threads that disturb her eyes. She refrains from taking the scissors that she knows are in the drawer to her right, only because her automatic movements are fast and precise.

If these long strands were to fall to the floor, it is likely that the little girl who may still be hiding somewhere inside her would be pained, so Jane sighs and waits patiently for her hands to stop wiggling without herself.

Her independent hands quietly place the brush on the marble. Jane, looks at herself for a long time, smiles at her charming reflection and when small locks fall wildly on her eyes, a thought crosses her mind.

"A new day has dawned for me, and as usual, I couldn't be prettier."

It is with one hand on her forehead is a completely red face, that shameful Jane escapes from this place that triggers in her, this terrible vanity she is unable to control.

"Miss Jane, you have some dirt left in the corner of your right eye."

Jane wants to turn around to remove the filth, but already her mouth poison is opening.

The little girl's father is also a thug who never visits his daughter. Yet this much-criticized businessman never went to prison. Selling arms to rebels around the world is certainly less serious than robbing a local grocery store, imagines Jane, who for the first time since her second awakening, manages to control her mouth, which expresses a fairly understandable pout.

As the red covered corridor is finally crossed and the spiral staircase is behind her, Jane crosses a vast hall to get to a kitchen beyond her imagination. This rounded, cornerless, futuristic place made of glass and metal reminds her of the science fiction movies that were shown on television in the 1970s.

Thinking of television, Jane's eyes are immediately drawn to a kind of translucent, immaterial screen floating in the middle of the room.

"A Classic Breakfast with Momo."

"Right away, Miss Jane."

After Jane's request, the two unidentified cooks and the no name maid run in all directions.

Jane knows that. The reason the little girl doesn't know their names is not that they're new employees, because according to the memory of the little blonde, they've worked here since she was a baby. No, the fact is that apart from herself, the former occupant of this body, has never been interested in anyone but her dog, Momo.

A news broadcast through the immaterial screen again attracts the attention of Jane whose knife misses the bacon plate that has just been placed next to her and accidentally spills her glass of vitamin juice.

"Clean up this disorder right now."

"Right away, Miss Jane."

Jane searches deep inside herself to get as much information as possible about these Hanhumans, but again, she finds only trivia in this little head, such as: How to coordinate her luxury clothes, what make-up to avoid, or what perfume to wear according to the occasion.

The acute barking of a ridiculous little white thing with a pink bow on its head, takes her out of her thoughts. Against her sandstone, she rushes towards the golden cushion that the nameless maid holds in her arms with great care.

"Momo, Momo, at last you're joining me for breakfast. Let a plate be placed on the table immediately so that my Momo can eat."

Who's running who? That's what Jane is wondering. She's afraid to be a mere spectator trapped in the body of this crazy, self-absorbed little girl.

While her fingers get tangled in the hair of that ridiculous dog she has unwillingly placed on the table made of indeterminate material, Jane is looking for a way to learn more about what these Hanhumans are.  

If she were to ask the employees of this house, she could certainly learn more, however, it would seem suspicious...

With that solution invalidated, her eyes falls upon the small silver bracelet on her right wrist...

A. What's the purpose of this chapter?
First, this happens:

B. Logging Out
The 3 soft logouts:

This hints players that they might need these in reality as well. Players can choose to turn this feature off.

The 2 hard logouts:
1. 4 hours of consecutive in-game time
You were given a 30 minutes countdown! You had your heads up!
Go stretch for a moment. Eat something. Drink something. Use the washroom. It doesn't take much time!
2. When a player's body reaches a threshold
Whether it's dehydration, hunger, sleepiness, or the need to use the bathroom
The Hidden Logout Mechanism: 
If a player crashes the game somehow, then that player is logged out immediately. Similar to what happens to cheaters in PUBG. They get booted and banned. 

C. Enhancement
Enhancement in the game <World of Gemcraft> is like injecting water into a water balloon. 
The enhancement is the water, fixated at certain amounts at each enhancement level and type.
The item is like the water balloon. 
Higher tier items are bigger balloons, able to contain more water. 
If the water balloon is able to hold the water in the end, then the enhancement is a success.
If not, then the water balloon bursts, and the item breaks.
The blacksmith is the guy handling the water and the water balloon. 
In John's situation, enhancing a free grey shirt, made of the cheapest material, should be like injecting a tiny little water balloon with 500 mL of water.
It didn't generate an error during the first enhancement. Fine. Maybe with a lot of skill and luck, under special conditions, using special items, it's possible.
But how do you explain a small water balloon holding 2 liters of water?
This is not skills. This is an error! This should never happen.
So the following will run according to the logic of the gaming system:
Player GodMode233 has equipped a new grey shirt.
How should this enhanced grey shirt interact with the environment?
Calculating. This item exceeds the boundaries set for this item. Parameters are now in conflict.
It's like saying x is bigger than five in one statement.
But another statement over there says x is smaller than one at the same time. 
And x must exist. So the program does not know what the result is. 
But we need defined results!
So errors are generated. Conclusion: this is a flawed item that should not exist.
But the item exists! 
So how should this enhanced grey shirt interact with the environment? 
Calculating. No idea. It should not exist. 
But it does exist. But it should not exist. But it really exists!
And so, the system loops again and again until the run time hits a threshold. 
In the end, John gets booted out of the game. A report is sent. John gets perma-banned. Happily ever after. 

D. Attributes and Stats
Intelligence, Charisma, and Willpower got removed after the game broke.
1. Agility (accuracy of body control, balance, quicker body reaction to thoughts, movement speed, stamina efficiency)
For example, there is a baseball hurling towards a player.
The player with low agility:
Eyes: I see it!
Brain: hand, you got this!
Hand: I'm on it!
Face: Ah! My face! Guys... I caught it...
The player with high agility:
Eyes: I see its trajectory. 
Brain: Easy one. Hand, you got this!
Hand: No probl-
Head: Sorry guys. I flinched and dodged it. 
It is very unlikely for players with high agility to accidentally stab their nose with a straw.
2. Strength (damage multiplier, speed limit, the ability to carry weight (ex. heavy armor)
So if players do accidentally stab their nose with a straw, players with higher strength take more damage
3. Constitution (damage reduction, health total, regeneration, stamina total, tenacity, strength limit)
After players accidentally stab their nose with a straw, players with higher constitution take less damage and regenerate faster

E. Identity
Usually, when players buy an identity, they get an exclusive background story about the character in detail.
In game, the system helps the players identify characters they should know. Also, information about the relationship this NPC and the player, and the NPC's background information are given.
In John's case, he gets none of this help. 
There are 2 possible causes.
1. After the game reset, some items are removed, and players who own those items get a refund. 
John lost his developer drone. The drone had NULL for value. So the system got confused and had no idea how much of what to give to John. Basically a NULL Pointer error. 
What's the NULL Pointer error?
It's basically insisting on ordering a big mac at White Spot. Things can turn real messy.
2. The conversion of the developer character model to the normal player model. 
Shouldn't be possible. But it happened. 

F. So these are the background information in the early chapters. 
I won't add any background information regarding later chapters. Some readers like spoilers, some don't. 
So any background information chapter will look like (Mechanism: Bala Bala)
But then again, if you don't care about the background mechanisms, you wouldn't read up to here. 
And those who actually don't care... they can figure it out later, right?
Maybe? Hopefully...

Monday
Anna awoke in the hospital bed wrapped in Hou YI's arms, as she attempted to ease herself to head to the bathroom, she woke Hou Yi up.
He leant over and gave Anna a kiss on the lips but before she let it get too passionate, she pulled back and quietly said "Darling, remember where we are. Plus I need to use the bathroom."
Hou Yi, allowed Anna to move out of his arms and head to the bathroom. As Anna was entering the bathroom there was a knock on the door, and in came one of the nursing staff, followed by a bodyguard who was bringing in bags and newspapers. Indicating his wife was in the bathroom the nurse, he turned to the bodyguard, taking the bags and the newspapers. He sat the bags down and headed to the couch and sat the newspapers out on the table.
The front-page headlines were telling, even at first glance. However, before he could start reading, he heard noise behind him, and the nurse had settled Anna back on the bed, and was taking her observations.
Once the nurse finished, she quietly said "Madam Hou, that is starting to look better. Your obstetrician will be in just before 9am, so we will arrange for breakfast to be brought in for the two of you."
Hou Yi sat on the bed with his wife, gently taking her in his arms, before she spoke "Thank you."
Once the nurse left, Hou Yi quietly asked "How do you feel. Tell me the truth please, as you scared me yesterday."
"Yi so much better than yesterday. I still feel tired but having that video-conference with Phillipa last night has made things easier." With that Anna twisted and gave Hou Yi a brief kiss.
"Promise me that you are not going to let things get to you like they did. You heard Pip, if you cannot contact the counsellor that she arranged, call her and speak to her."
"Yi, I did not want to …"
In a firm but not harsh voice "Sweetheart, as she told you, you will have setbacks. You know that is reality as well from your work. Most importantly you know I am here; I love you and will do anything to help you. But I am not a mind reader. I can observe things, but I cannot always tell when you need help."
"I know Yi…"
There was a knock on the door and breakfast was brought in and sat down at the table near the couch.
As they moved over to eat breakfast, Anna located the television remote, and turned it on before searching for a news channel. The lead story for her was not surprising, the excesses of Lu Jingho. While factual, they soon moved into a panel discussion about the story.
Hou Yi was watching Anna carefully, seeing how she reacted. As Hou YI had paused eating Anna turned to him, before saying "Yi, calm down I am OK. I just want to see what they have to say, and I am going to read the papers after that."
Anna turned her attention back to the television and started listening to the panel discussion about the allegations against Lu Jingho. Anna was engrossed in what they were saying, which was universally condemning him, but at the same time the journalists were careful to phrase their comments on the basis of "if the allegations can be proven".
Anna found it highly interesting as a means of seeing the difference between the legal system here and in Australia. Criminals were afforded more protection by the law, but at the same time, the whole basis for the legal system was different.
Hou Yi rather than solely focusing on the television, started reading the newspapers. The stories under the headlines matched the articles. Like the debate on the television he could see that the written press were as condemning of Lu JIngho as they were. Hou Yi in considering everything realised that he had no idea of the extent of Lu Jingho's behaviour. Blackmailing his son, abusing children, threatening his ex-wife, misusing company resources, trying to blackmail him, harassing Anna. What else was to come out? Hopefully he will agree to plead to the charges to save people having to give evidence.
One comment made in the television debate made Hou Yi stop. "The only thing that might save him and the Lu Corporation will depend on how many of the alleged victims can be compensated for the acts against them, and the charges not pursued?"


Anna Jones, an Australian travelled with her fiancé Lu Jinhu to marry in his home country, only to find out that she has been duped by him and robbed of everything that she owns.  A quirk of fate allows her to marry CEO Hou Yi, who was meant to on the same day marry his finance Yang Lin, who in fact married Lu Jinhu.  Marriage for Anna, started as a plan to gain some measure of revenge on Lu Jinhu, and for Hou Yi to prevent Lu Jinhu from obtaining the family company however fate had something different in store for them.  Not only did they achieve their initially goals, but their relationship turned into something else, that could last a lifetime despite the cultural differences and the trouble Lu Jinhu and Yang Lin caused them.
