Next day 8 am., Daiyu got ready as she had to go for a interview and messaged Shu to meet her near the Darra cafe.
Shu met her at the cafe, and they talked for an hour, after she gave Daiyu their  business card which Daiyu kept in her purse without having a look at it as she was in a hurry to go for her interview.

While I was waiting outside the cabin, a woman came rushing towards the receptionist where she asked her about her name in the interview list, but the receptionist informed her that her name has been stroked out because she was an hour late, than that woman called someone on her phone; Hello Mrs. Richard its Ellie here, will you please be there in the hospital with my son I'll be late, as I am searching for a job.

(After keeping the phone);

Excuse me mam can't you do anything about it?she asked the receptionist in a worried tone.

Sorry to say but I can't help you, only if someone from the girls who came for the interview wants to switch the names with  you than it is possible, thanI can change yours name to hers name, but that girl will lose this interview, she replied. 

Oh my God, why would anyone give away their place for this job! Now what am I supposed to do how will I manage to get a job for a single mother like me ? she murmured.

Daiyu did heard what that women murmered even though she didn't heard the whole thing she heard "single mother",  at that time she zoned out into her past where her mom was also struggling the same to get a job, she than realized that her problem is not as big as the woman, she then went near the reception area and talked with the women;

 Excuse me, I am Daiyu and you...
Ellie, the woman replied 

I am really sorry but I overheard the conversation between you and the receptionist, and I am willing switch my name with yours, you can take my place, Daiyu said.

Huh, thank you so much, but can why don't you need the job, you must also need this job right since you were waiting here? she asked Daiyu.

 I was now standing below a humongous company which said Yang Group in bold silver letters. After showing the the interview appointment picture on my phone, I was allowed to enter, all the interns I saw all were dressed in famous designer brands, and suddenly all were looking at my direction (Author: all were looking at her because she looked like a model but was dressed simply in all black , black hoody, black ripped jeans and black boots which were not "branded"), I ignored the gazes, than proceeded towards the reception to ask about where the interview is taking place, but after I said that sentence, the workers and interns who were gazing at me till now suddenly started gossiping while looking at me.

At that point of time I was getting angry at the companies staff's behaviour.

Excuse me I asked you something, would you tell me??, I asked the receptionist angrily, because even she was looking at me weirdly.

8th floor, asked for Boss Liu Gen's cabin as he taking the interviews of  all the interviewees today, she replied.

okay, said Daiyu 

(Huang Meixiu than entered, and blocked Daiyu's way and she started bullying  Daiyu)

Who are you I think you got the wrong address??? Hahaha...don't tell me she is here for a designers interview, that Gen is conducting.I am sorry but have you looked at your dressing sense, what are you wearing, I mean it looks like we are conducting an interviews to hire bodyguard she touched her clothes...Ahhhh

Yes, I am here for a designers interview  but thank you to inform me that this company needs a bodyguard and you know what I will be happy to do that job too. And I do know my dressing sense and I am cool about it, so you don't have to worry about me , Daiyu said in a angry tone.

Luna walked out of the hotel. Where does one got to find a job? She took out Kate's phone and searched jobs in her local area. She found a couple that weren't that fare away. The first place she went to was a small coffee shop. 
She walked inside and was welcomed, Luna walked to the counter and said, "Hello I am here for the job interview."
The girl working there looked around 17, she smiled at Luna and said, "Sorry we just hired someone and we don't need anyone else."
Luna was disappointed but politely said,  "Thank you, have a nice day." Then she walked away.
'Onto the next location.' Thought Luna. The next place she was a fast food restaurant. 
It took about 20 minutes to get to the place, thank goodness Luna didn't get lost. She went inside and went to a the worker at the counter, "Hello, I'm here for the job interview."
The worker glared at her, he seemed like he really didn't want to work there, "Okay I'll get the manager and he'll interview you."
The manager came in and took her to a seating area. They sat down and he said, "Can I see your resume?"
What? She needs to bring a resume? 
"I didn't bring one."

I was waking up due to the alarm going off. I remembered that I have an interview today. It was in BigHit Company, I'll just do my normal routine. Shower , Brush my teeth , Dry my hair and do my make up. I picked up an outfit that is a little cute on an interview. Then I got out of the house and call a taxi.

"Annyeong, Can you drive me to BigHit company?" I said. 

"Ne." He agreed. 

He drove me off the company and I paid for the drive. 

I was greeted when I got to the front door, The lady at the front desk ask me if I was the one who's going to be in the position for manager and I agreed. 

I followed her through the halls and later got into the owner of the company's office. 

"I'll leave you here now. Good luck!" She said. 

"Thank you Jessica!" I thank her. Jessica was her name. 

I knocked... 

Tok..Tok... 

I heared a voice that said to come in and I later come in and start the interview. 

"Annyeong-haseyo Y/n imnida!" I introduced myself 

"Annyeong-haseyo..Please take a sit.." He said 

I got out the Bio-data which is needed in this interview and the document which has the review from my past jobs. 

"Wahh..I'm impressed at your reviews!" He was amazed because my past jobs give out good payments for all the work that I did and the other one gave me a good review because of how I behave in work. 

"Tell me...Why do you want this job..?" He asked. 

"I want this job because I want to experience new things and also quite like managing something or someone. I also want to help the boys become the most famous boyband in the world and also help their attitude to get known off the stage and in the stage." I answered. 

"Wahh..such amazing diplomancy. You're hired!" He said. 

"Really?! I-I couldn't believe my ears! Thank you very much!!!" I thankfully said. 

And with that I got hired for the position!

Eva's pov : 

I heard a low chuckle behind me and someone saying my name out loud I was a bit confused, I mean ,  I was alone  with the CEO in his office and from what I heard he has never been seen laughing or even smiling , I wanted to turn around and look at his face , but I had to fix the problem in front of me first . 

actually it wasn't that complicated , I already changed all the codes for the computer that was hacked , it only took a couple of minutes , I even retrieved the file that was deleted, this kind of stuff were quit easy , I have done worst , but something was off , I mean every hacker leaves some kind of a trace behind him , by mistake or by choice , some hacker love to leave some kind of signature behind them because of there overpowered ego, but this one has cleaned every thing behind him, its probably gonna take a lot of time to find him , but why should I care, I already did what I promised .

I stopped typing and closed the computer after renaming the file which was deleted in the first place, I stood up and searched the room looking for Nicholas(the CEO) to find him sitting in a chair apposite the desk with a smirk on his face and a finger between his teeth, making his glossy red lips plug out more, I couldn't help but stare at his lips , I wanted to kiss them so badly 

(oh my god what the hell are you thinking Eva) my inner voice started screaming out loud .

"I renamed the file and put a new password for it, you can change it, and I cleared the computer from any kind of versus that could allow hackers in "

"hum" Nicholas said while looking into my eyes .

"I couldn't trace the hacker , its gonna need more time for something like that, and I would need access  to the original computer that was hacked" 

on the mention of the hacker Nicholas face turned stone cold with eyes that could pierce through  walls , but eva couldn't be intimated , she has seen worst people, heartless people, and all type of people .

" got it I will let someone work on it" Nicholas said 

"yeah I don't think so , there is no chance anyone can find him in this company, " I told  him" other than me that is "

"over confident aren't you , miss ?  

" no I am just stating the facts , and for your information , the hacker that hacked your company is really good, if he wanted he could have destroyed most of the files in this company , I tightened the security , but you should let your CS(computer science ) team  to look at it, and secure it more ."

"Okay I will get to work on it, let me thank you for helping out , how should I repay you  miss queens " 

"I don't need you to repay me , but if you insist , I do have a request , and you can call me eva , miss queens is way to formal"

"oh really what kind of a request , eva ?"

"I would like to have my interview with you to the PA job, and if I can have my interview now I would be grateful" 

"you could have asked for the job, why just the interview ? and by what have I seen from you I "

"first I don't think it would be fair for the other people who are waiting outside if I just snatch the job without really qualifying, second no sir I don't belong to the CS department, CS is just a hobby nothing more sir"

Nicholas moved towards his desk and sat down on his black leather chair, he took Eva's popers and started looking through them 

eva took the seat in front of him and crossed her slender legs !

"the job is yours Eva , but I do have a question , between your graduation and now there is more than a three years gab , and your resume doesn't have any kind of information for these years why is that ?"

"Nothing really I just took a break , and nothing in particular some part time jobs from here and there , but I spent most of my time going all around the places " Eva said while fidgeting in her seat turning nervous all of a sudden 

of course Nicholas noticed the weird behavior but he decided to ignore it for now, with time he shall understand everything .

"well you got the job miss queens "

Eva smiled like a child that has just been given candy , and started blabbering like an idiot 

" thank you so much sir, I will do my best and as a thank you I will work on the finding the hacker too, you wont regret your decision sir "

"you can call me Nicholas eva, and I expect the best work that you can give , I will see you on Monday then "

It was the third time Xia's cellphone rang but she  ignored the call as if she did not hear it at all. She buried her head deep into the warmth of her pillow and tried to cover her ears with the soft thick cushion so she won't be able to hear the irritating sound of her phone that awakened her from her peaceful sleep.

Xia turned her head away from the phone and  closed her eyes. She decided to go back to sleep. Anyway the call is not  that important. Since the day she lost her job  she was not expecting any urgent call anymore and besides who the hell would call her at 7:00 am in the morning? It was such an early hour to pester someone who probably was still asleep at that time.

krrrrrriiing! The call Xia thought would stop after being ignored did not cease ringing. Instead it became louder and more urgent. "Oh jeez!" Xia mumbled, irritated by how annoying her phone was. Next time she will remember to turn it off before she go in bed so that in the morning nothing will disturb her sleep.

Xia finally got up her bed. She  irritably glared at the phone located  at at the top of the bed side table and throw aside her pillows. It was so annoying to think that the loud sound of her ringing phone woke her up before her alarm clock did. Jeez! she badly needed sleep since she did not sleep well last night.

"Hello good morning." Despite being so irritated and annoyed at the same time Xia did not forget the phone etiquette her Aunt Lin taught her. Be kind and pleasant  all the time, her Aunt put that in her mind. 

"Good morning! This is Pamela from the Human Resource Department of Blaze Empire Company.  Are you Ms. Anastaxia Mariyah Alexander?" 

Upon hearing the word 'Blaze Empire' Xia's heart began racing. The remaining trace of sleepiness left her and she stood upright. "Yes speaking? How may I help you?" Xia replied. She was puzzled to receive such an early morning call especially from the Blaze Empire Company. Xia was deeply  curious but  she did not make it evident on her tone.

"We received your resume six months ago and we are sorry we  didn't call you back since we don't have job vacancy back then. We would like to inform you ma'am that if you're still interested to join our company we are currently hirring for a secretary."

Xia's heart leaped in excitement how she badly wanted to work at the Blaze Empire Company six months ago but she was unfortunate  not to receive a call back then when she applied. Maybe the fates is on her side now  and this was her chance.

"Yes thank you for calling me back to inform about your current job hirring. I am very much interested and would like to apply for a secretarial position."

"Please come to the Blaze Empire Building at nine am sharp for a job interview. Thank you ma'am and have a nice day."

Xia pushed the end button while her eyes widened in shock. She can't believe what just happened. Even if it was just an interview she was privileged enough to receive a call back.

Xia looked at the wall clock it was too early but she will begin preparing for her job interview now.

Xia sat in front of the mirror trying to look presentable for her job interview. She tied her straight black hair into a ponytail like she usually did since the day she run away from home and put on her large spectacles to complete her daily disguise. She 

Xia did not want anyone to recognize her identity  even though she knows that Belavia was a country very far from  the Philippines. Xia was only being too cautious, she needs to be. She don't want to go back to the Philippines. She was not yet ready to face Zian and Kim's betrayal.

Xia was wearing a three-fourth sleeved pink dress that modestly ends just below her knees. No way on earth that she will  wear a sexy outfit. Her outfit  should be simple, it would be dangerous if she was too noticeable.

Xia grab her four inch shoes that matches the color of her dress and she hurriedly put them on. She spotted a pair of earrings and  put them into her ears to complement her attire. Xia did not  bother to wear any necklace it was not needed in the first place. 

Once again after Xia took a final glance at her reflection in the mirror and seeing herself presentable enough, she adjusted her eyeglasses for one last time and headed to the door.

Xia walked outside to where her  car was parked. She excitedly climbed inside her six month old second hand car that she bought with the money from her savings.


Xia  began to  think of the things that could happen during her job interview. Also, she was  silently practicing in her mind how to answer the possible questions that may be included in the interview. Xia eagerly put the keys in the ignition to start the engine. She was really excited to go to the Blaze Empire Building for the very first time

Xia smiled widely when the engine roared to life. Time to go! But then  suddenly as if the fates was playing with her the engine stopped. Xia frowned and repeated the process but her car refused to function properly. Xia felt as if her hopes began to crumble. Dismay fIooded her face.

Xia sighed in  frustration and got out of her car.

"The companies posting a bookkeeper job opening in a newspaper classified section will hire a female, not me. If they hire a male for the job, that's probably because the position is half bookkeeping and half irrelevant chores."
After work, Gun-Ho usually surfed the internet on his laptop in dim light or he went to the PC room in the neighborhood. He felt like he was falling so much farther behind in life compared to his high school friends, which made him feel depressed.
"Won-Chul Jo who is now married should be doing fine, shouldn't he? Byung-Tae Hwang who is working in a research facility of a startup company in Pangyo is getting married soon. He posted about his wedding on Facebook but didn't personally inform me. He could easily find my phone number by contacting Won-Chul or the others."
Gun-Ho drank soju almost every other day, and that increased his alcohol tolerance.

It had been more than two weeks since Gun-Ho had a job interview with the company in Asan. The memory of the interview was fading away when he received a phone call from that company, a very unexpected one at that.

"Oh, hi. This is Gun-Ho Goo."
"I am sorry that we took a long time to contact you. You have been hired as our bookkeeper. Can you start on the 1st of next month?"
Gun-Ho came to his senses by this unexpected and sudden phone call.

"You have only five days left until the 1st of next month. Can you manage to quit the current job and start a new job with us within five days?"

Gun-Ho felt so grateful to be hired by this company that he repeated "thank you" twice.

"I can get my college diploma online, but what about the work experience certificate letter? There is no such thing in Bangil Gas. Well, I can find some samples on the internet and make one for me."
After he returned to the office, Gun-Ho drafted a work experience certificate letter referring to some examples he found on the internet.
"I need the boss' stamp to officially seal this letter… I have his stamp for the tax invoices stamping purpose; should I just use it?"
Gun-Ho thought he still should ask the owner for it.
"When he comes back from the gas pipe repairing work, I will carefully inform him."
A little after five o'clock, the owner came back to the office, looking exhausted.
"A*sholes! They tried to bargain for the repairing cost. I should have just left without fixing their pipes. Sh*t!"
The owner slumped down in his chair, looking really tired. Gun-Ho had to tell the owner that he would quit the job, but he couldn't because the owner seemed very tired.
"Gee, it is already half past five. Goo Jooim, you can go home."
Gun-Ho hesitated and the owner looked at him with a question mark on his face.
"What's the matter? Do you have something you want to tell me?"
"Umm… I am so sorry to tell you that I think I have to move to the city where my parents are."
"Why? Because your father is in the hospital?"
"My parents want me to come, and they are old now…"
"Hmmm…"
The owner looked very uncomfortable.
"I will have to find someone again. I really liked you here."
"Well, I've been thinking, and I think your wife can handle the work. You can save money that way."
"My wife? She doesn't even know how to work with a computer."
"She just needs to get the knack of it. She will become better and faster at the job after one or two months of practice."
"I know I can save money… But she always tries to argue with me whenever she is here in the office. That is the problem."
"Haha. That's because she likes you a lot."
"Well, I will have to think about it."
"I will work until the end of this month then."
"You leave that early?"
"My parents are pressing me."

Gun-Ho walked out of the office and turned his head to look behind him.
"Bangil Gas. I have so many good memories of this factory. The boss and his wife are good-natured people. Once I become successful, I will come and visit them."
It was getting dark; Gun-Ho drove to the Gwangjeok Township Office area where his room was located. He called the landlord to give him the notice to vacate his room.

All of these people look like they are applying to work at a night club while I look like a teacher (I said to myself). If you want to talk about evil intentions look at you and how all of you dressed and how your spreading gossip/rumors as if your in High School. Shouldn't you guys be ashamed of stating false accusations without knowing the actual back story. Just because the media writes it, it doesn't mean it's true, just because it comes out of somebodies mouth it doesn't make it true. Grow up and prepare for the interview instead of harassing me to make yourselves feel better. How dare you...(interrupted but president's assistant)...Miss Mei Fu you are up.

As I followed the Assistant I felt the murderous intent of these girls as I walked away.  I can tell it's not gonna be easy working here but it's my dream job and sometimes you have to work with people you don't like. Miss the President doesn't think it's necessary to interview you... (What?!?!) Did I do something wrong? Is it the way I dressed? (I said out loud accidentally due to being nervous) haha no Miss thats not it, He's familiar with your work already and knows of your achievements and would like to hire you on the spot starting tomorrow. Oh my, I got the job!!!! (Jumping up and down hugging the assistant) I apologize for my unprofessionalism just a second ago, this is my dream job and I thought I would screw it up somehow. Thank you so much, you won't regret it! What time tomorrow should I come in? 9am sharp and as for what you are wearing we ask for black slacks or a black skirt with a white shirt and accessories are acceptable.

I must call Ying and celebrate! Hey girl I got the job! Yay... How was the interview was it hard? I cant do that until you release my son and allow him to walk away. They untie him and I hand him my gun and I whispered in his ear as I hugged him that its a toy guy and to run fast as he can and to get help and if any of the guys try to recapture him to pretend the toy gun is real and point it at them till help arrives. As the boy ran away the guys grabbed me as I struggled and tried to fight them off but they had the advantage and grabbed me before I could fight my way out. They covered my face with a cloth and I started becoming light headed as I started fading I heard them say to throw me in the trunk and in that moment I thought to myself is this the end? Did the kid make it? What will happen to me? (I pass out)

While he was looking into the articles and reporting posts and comments that he felt his boss wouldn't like, he stumbled across a certain link. 

[(Hope Ent.) Now hiring: manager position]

"Hm."

 Kwon Tae Yang tapped on the link, which redirected him to Hope Entertainment's website. The page quickly loaded, showing the job description and qualifications needed. 

Looking at the date, he found out that the job post had only been up since the night before. 

He narrowed his eyes, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. Could it be related to Miss Yeo Ri? It seemed like she was serious about becoming an actress. Was the company hiring a new manager for her? 

After thinking for some time, he deduced that that was the case. He once again skimmed through the article. For a few moments, he let his thumb hover over the screen. Then, he decisively tapped the 'Apply' button and filled the application before sending it in. 

"Kill two birds with one stone," he monotonously muttered to himself.

Merely half an hour after he submitted his application, a representative from the company contacted him. 

"Hello, is this Mr. Kwon Tae Yang?"

"Yes, this is he."

"I'm calling you on behalf of Hope Entertainment. You applied for a manager position earlier, right?"

"Yes."

"Um... did you, by any chance, read the job description?" The caller asked hesitantly. He was worried that this Mr. Kwon had misunderstood the kind of 'manager' they were trying to hire; in the job advertisement they posted, they were actually looking for a road manager! Someone who was supposed to help the artistes look for more work, liaise with people, drive them around, and serve them at their beck and call! This wasn't some cushy occupation like those managers in the sense of a normal company or a talent agent.

"I did," Secretary Kwon replied dryly. 

"...Okay, I understand." The representative's hand holding the freshly-printed resume of the person he was calling trembled. Was this Mr. Kwon crazy? With his amazingly high specs, he actually decided to apply for this practically-slave-labouring kind of job? 

"Would you be willing to attend an interview? Whenever you're free, just come directly to our company building."

"I'm free now."

"...Is that so?"

"Yes," Secretary Kwon nodded seriously though no one was there to see him. "It's hard to find a job these days. I am unemployed so I have a lot of free time," he shamelessly lied with a deadpanned expression. Well, it was partially right anyways. 

With his task to look after Yeo Ri, he was practically running around with nothing to do. Yeo Ri would never inform him about where she was going, so he had to always be on standby to follow her. On top of that, there was still the imminent threat of the thugs who kept coming after the girl. Having to look after that stubborn princess instead of doing desk-work like a normal secretary, he might as well be jobless. 

There was silence on the other side of the call for some time. Sounding as if he had choked, the representative responded, "Well, then, I'll be waiting inside the building. Just tell the receptionist that you're coming in for a job interview."

"Alright."

"Then, I'll be seeing you. Goodbye."

"Yes, thank you. Goodbye."

After ending the call, Secretary Kwon moved to exit his car. However, just as he reached for the door handle, he paused. Wouldn't it be too strange to just show up right now? He should at least give it a few minutes so as to not make them suspicious. He didn't really want to them to think that he was lurking around the company building like a creep. 

With that in mind, he sat silently in his car after setting a fifteen-minute timer. He patiently waited for his alarm to go off, wasting his time by reading headlines on a news website. 

Once the timer went off, he left his car and walked towards the entrance, stepping into the building nonchalantly. 

"Is there anything I can help you with?" The receptionist cordially received him. 

"I'm here for a job interview," the stoic man informed. 

"A job interview? Wait a minute while I check... ah! Here it is. You can head over to the fifth floor, first room to the right." The receptionist checked her computer and noticed that there was a note left by someone from management about a job interview. After she checked the picture on the resume and confirming Kwon Tae Yang's identity, she passed him a visitor's pass and gestured towards the elevator. 

"Thank you," Kwon Tae Yang accepted the pass with a slight bow and made his way to the fifth floor. 

Inside the room, a man was already waiting for him.

"Hello," he greeted first without waiting for the man to get up from his seat. 

"Ah, hello, Mr. Kwon!" Looking at the elegantly dressed man, the staff could not help but greet him in a very polite manner. He immediately stood up from his seat to receive the interviewee, gesturing for the man to take a seat somewhere. 

It was only when Kwon Tae Yang had sat himself down did the staff realised that he was influenced by the interviewee's atmosphere. It felt as if he was meeting an important client rather than an interviewee for a road manager position. 

The staff was surprised. He knew from looking at Kwon Tae Yang's resume that the man was a total elite, but he had taken it with a grain of salt; after all, it was not that hard to fake a resume. But after meeting the man in person, it was hard to believe that the man was faking it—unless he was a very experienced con artist!

"Excuse me," the staff forced a smile on his face, turning around in a hurry to pull out his phone from his pocket. He quickly looked through his contacts and picked out Park Soo Yeon's number. 

He felt that just him alone was inadequate so he wanted to ask for her help in assessing the new recruit. 

With no choice but to wait, the staff could only swallow down his anxiety. He attempted to smile, "So, uh, what made you apply for this position? I know you said you were currently unemployed, but for an eli—a person—like you, there should've been many offers for a better, higher-paying position? I could recommend you to our administration department, if you'd like—"

"—No. I would like to become a manager." Feeling that he didn't get his point across, Kwon Tae Yang emphasised, "Road. Manager."

The interviewer was sweating profusely. Seriously, what was wrong with this guy? Did he have an ulterior motive? Was he a pervert who liked to torture himself? He was obviously someone who was used to cushy jobs, so why did he come here?!

He discreetly glanced at the man's resume which he had placed on the table. In the work history column, it clearly said—Interned at the Blue House! 

The Blue House, ah! What kind of abilities or connections did he have, to be able to get an internship at the Blue House?

He didn't know whether it was true or not, but judging by his serious appearance, he was more inclined to believe that it was the truth. 

"Um, Mr. Kwon, becoming a road manager means you have to be ready to be treated like someone's servant. The pay is low, and you have to live according to your talent's schedule too, which means you won't have enough time to rest. On top of that, the boss wants a manager for a rookie, so your standing in the company won't be high. If you want to exchange for a more popular artiste, the previous manager of that artiste won't quietly take it lying down, so it'll be hard. Are you sure about this?" 

There was no change in Kwon Tae Yang's expression. "I'm serious about this. I'll be fine, thank you for your concern. I don't mind if I get a rookie." Rather, he would quit immediately if he didn't get the rookie, whom he was 90% sure was Lee Yeo Ri. Besides, that crafty princess was already making his life difficult, so seeing her more often wouldn't change much. 

"I-I see," the interviewer sweated. "Um, the president of our company will also be joining this interview, so can you please wait for a little bit?"

Kwon Tae Yang nodded, signifying his understanding. 

The two waited for a minute before the president finally showed up. 

"I'm here," Park Soo Yeon said as soon as she entered the room. "Hello," she greeted. 

The two men bowed their heads in return. 

With Park Soo Yeon around, the interviewer felt more relieved. He motioned for the woman to come closer, tilting his head towards the other man in the room. 

The boss lady took a brief look at the stranger before picking up the single-paged resume that was packed with words, reading it scrutinisingly. She, who would be managing Yeo Ri as her agent, could not possibly accompany the girl all the time due to her responsibilities as the company's president, so she decided to hire a road manager to help with the physical aspect. This guy was going to be accompanying her new treasure so she wanted to be sure he was safe, especially after she saw her employee's apparent hesitance.

"Eh?"

Just like her employee, Park Soo Yeon also froze when she saw those five words—Interned at the Blue House!

No matter from which angle she looked at it, this person was very suspicious! Was he fooling around with them? No matter how one looked at it, it was absurd to think that someone would rather work for a no-name-yet celebrity instead of a well-paid politician. 

President Park raised her eyes to critically study Kwon Tae Yang. He seemed rigid and professional in his crisp business suit. 

She couldn't believe that such a well-mannered, serious-looking and intelligent man was actually applying for the road manager position. But then again, looks can be deceiving. 

"Tell me honestly—are the things you have written on this resume true?" The woman straightforwardly asked. 

"It is the truth. Feel free to make any calls to confirm them," the man boldly responded without changing his expression. 

The two engaged in a staring war for a good minute.

Kwon Tae Yang's eyes were clear, with a tinge of determination and sincerity. Park Soo Yeon couldn't detect any hints of malicious intentions from his gaze. 

Actually—Kwon Tae Yang did indeed tamper with his resume. 

He had actually altered a few things—he did not write about his current employer, Heo Woo Seung. He had given it some thought and decided that it was better to conceal his connection to the man. It would really seem highly dubious if they find out that he 'left' a high-paying job as a politician's aide for a low-level manager position.

"Excuse me for not believing you, but for the sake of security... you understand, right?" She finally said after breaking off eye contact. She motioned for her employee to look into the man's background. 

The employee quickly verified the information—Kwon Tae Yang had indeed graduated from the university he had stated on his resume. However, the information of his internship was too sensitive, and it was not something they could confirm in a matter of minutes. They had no choice but to put it off for the day. 

"Well, it is good meeting you today, Mr. Kwon. Perhaps it would be best if you return for now; we'll contact you in the future. Thank you for coming," Park Soo Yeon politely kicked him out. 

Secretary Kwon thickened his face, "I'll be waiting for the good news, then."

The background is set in a quiet small town on the outskirts of Seoul. In this town, people were friendly, except for one particular neighbourhood. 

In this neighbourhood, everybody lived their lives as if treading on eggshells, all because of one particular household: the Lees.

Emi walked me over to the room I'll be spending about six hours a day in for the next year.
