Once Yalina started working, she became a totally different person. With a solemn face, she was so completely focused that she had forgotten about Han Jin's existence; she was too engrossed in administering magical doses and burning magic arrays. Cessacioun, who was Yalina's assistant, naturally stayed around her.
Han Jin felt a little bored. Although the lab was huge and there were numerous items in the room, he didn't dare touch any of it. It was painful enough to rent the laboratory for two thousand gold coins a day. If he were to accidentally break something, wouldn't he have to compensate for it?!
Reading was the only thing that he could do. However, most of the books were either related to potions or magical arrays. Han Jin couldn't understand any of it. Even after continuously flipping through more than a dozen books, none caught his attention.
Han Jin lost his interest, but just about when he was about to do something else, a book with a very simple cover caught his eye. Judging by the color change of the leather, it was very old. 
Han Jin held the thought of just checking out one last book, so he took out the magic book and flipped through it. It looked decent and there wasn't any messy runes.
Han Jin leaned against the bookcase, turned the book to the first page, and started reading it seriously; this book should be an amateur magician's reading material. The contents of the book were simple and easy to understand, just like its outer packaging.
The author of the book believed that the world was composed of eight elements. Various animals , humans, and even gods were also composed of the eight elements. Han Jin had sufficient knowledge about the situation of the mainland to know that no one dared discuss about gods, therefore the authors words were considered outrageous. If the book were to be seen by anyone from the Magic Guild or the church, the author would be in big trouble. However, judging from the already discolored pages, it should have been from a long time ago.
After reading the preface, the following was an introduction for various elements. In front of every chapter, the author made an evaluation for the elements. For example, the author believed that the fire element was a source of civilization, and the water element was the cradle of life, and so forth.
After reading through the four main elements, which were fire, water, earth and air, it introduced the elements of light and darkness. The author had made a large effort to appraise the light element while giving a major attack towards the element of darkness. This was normal as most races on the ground hated darkness, while the abyss races hated the light.
After about seventeen to eighteen pages, Han Jin changed his posture. The following then introduced the seventh element: the spiritual element. The author valued the spiritual elements greatly and even said that the spiritual element was the mother of the six major elements. As it went on, Han Jin gave a heavy expression. The spiritual element that was mentioned by the author was similar to Taoism. Regardless of if it were to display symbols or to manipulate magic weapons, one must have enough mental strength to support it. The greater the power of the symbol, and the higher the level of the magic weapon, the more mental strength would be required. This was like cutting wood; anyone would be able to lift an axe that weighed ten kilograms, but if the axe were to weigh up to a hundred kilograms, or even a thousand kilograms, it would require a body that was strong enough to carry it. Otherwise, not only would they be unable to cut firewood, they may even hurt themselves. 
Lastly, it was the eighth element. The author had only used at most a paragraph to evaluate the first seven elements, but the author used an entire page to evaluate the eighth element. It had even ended with a statement that was in a bold handwriting: the reason why only gods can be gods was because they have mastered the secrets of the eighth element!
Han Jin's heart itched in curiously as he continued reading. He hurriedly turned over a page and was left stunned. There was nothing there; the back of it was the cover! Han Jin did not give up and simply closed the back cover. The author's signature wasn't even on the yellowish cover. Then, he flipped to the last page of the book and slowly turned the pages over. It was still blank and there was no trace of tearing. Thus, it was obvious that the book had not been destroyed; it was the author who had decided to stop writing. 
This magic book is serialized?! Han Jin put the book aside and carefully looked through the bookcase. As long as the appearance of the book looked old, he would take it out and have a look. For some time, he walked from one end of the bookcase to another, flipping through countless magic books, but still failed to find a sequel. 
Han Jin sighed helplessly; Grandmother, I've met a eunuch!! But, Han Jin wasn't one who would easily give up. He paused for a moment and suddenly thought of an idea. In order to not affect Yalina, he hid in a corner and quickly swayed his hands. A mist appeared out of thin air and it slowly condensed into water droplets of various sizes on Han Jin's palms. Han Jin then placed the water droplets on the pages without any modesty and silently waited for a miracle to happen.
After waiting for a long time, nothing happened. Han Jin then thought for a while and released the Three True Fire. He carefully observed as he grilled the pages. Even until they curled up, still nothing happened.
For quite some time, Han Jin had been battling with the magic book. For example, using his nails to scratch the pages, looking for possible interlayers, reading under a bright light, checking for any residual writing, etc. It didn't discourage Han Jin even after failing over and over again. From one point of view, this reflected his strong perseverance, but the weathered yellow magic book had been tortured by him till it became completely tattered.
Han Jin was even more focused than Yalina - to a point where he went all out and couldn't even hear Yalina's surprised voice. He didn't even know that it was already bright outside.
"Raphael, what are you doing?" Yalina's voice rang from behind Han Jin. 
At this moment, Han Jin had closed one eye and placed a fire magic crystal in front of him. As he recovered, he reluctantly put away the magic crystal and looked very disappointed. It seemed that there were no secrets in the book; it was just that the author had decided not to write anymore. Damn it, stupid eunuch!
Yalina didn't get a response from Han Jin even after waiting for a long time. It surprised her and so she went over, snatched the magic book away, and flipped through the pages. She looked up at him with a teasing look and said, "Raphael, you want to become god?"
Anyone who heard this sentence would burst out into laughter. Trying to become god... this was too absurd. It was something that no one would even dream about; it would be more realistic to dream about becoming The Superiors. But Han Jin was different from the others; he was a cultivator. The reason for his cultivation? It was for the purpose of feathering into a fairy - to be sealed as god. It was to be with heaven and earth, along with the sun and the moon. If it wasn't to become god, what was his purpose as a cultivator?!
Yalina's words hit Han Jin in the head. He was stunned as he didn't know how to react.
Yalina smiled and threw the magic book to Han Jin. Then, she walked away and said, "The book was written by a madman by the name of Richard. He had even died in the madhouse. Hehe... you better not believe his rubbish. There are only seven elements in the world; why would there be eight? It's just..." Suddenly, Yalina's body froze and turned around bit by bit. She stared at Han Jin with a face full of shock.
"What's wrong?" Han Jin asked. He was dumbfounded while seeing Yalina walk towards him fiercely as if he were an enemy.
Yalina continued walking and only stopped when she was directly in front of Han Jin; their bodies were almost stuck together. She stared at Han Jin and whispered, "Tell me, is there really an eighth element in this world?"
"What?" Han Jin was even more confused. A moment ago, Yalina had scornfully said that the author was a madman, and now, suddenly, there was a total change in her attitude. This made no sense.
"The magic that you unleash uses the eighth element! That's why we can't sense the magic fluctuations, just like how we can't sense the presence of the eighth element! Right?!" Yalina said it clearly, word-by-word, but her tone seemed heavy. This was because the things that she was saying had subverted the roots of magic. After all, Yalina was a young magician, and was more open to accepting new ideas. If it were an older magician, they wouldn't even think in this direction, no matter how surprised they were by Han Jin.
"What are you saying? I used the eighth element?!" Han Jin asked inexplicably.
"Trying to act innocent? I'll expose you!" Yalina bit her lips and suddenly spread out her palms. "Give it to me!"
"Yalina, what's wrong?" Cessacioun walked over and saw that both Han Jin and Yalina were acting strange.
"Cessacioun, go back. It's got nothing to do with you!" Yalina said it in a commanding tone. She wasn't venting, but the thing that Han Jin had mastered was a huge secret. If Cessacioun were to come over, the possibility of getting Han Jin to reveal the secret would become even slimmer.
Cessacioun was shocked but still retreated.
"What do you want?" Han Jin couldn't help but took a step back. The distance between them was too close; he could even smell Yalina's fragrance.
"The magic crystal just now." Yalina's hands trembled with excitement. Finally! She had finally solved the mystery!! Han Jin could always easily release magic spells that she had never seen before, but she could never sense the magical fluctuation. It had always greatly confused her, but now everything was solved because of the presence of the eighth element!
Han Jin took out a fire element magic crystal from the space ring and handed it to Yalina. Yalina once again grabbed the magic book and copied Han Jin. She closed one of her eyes and then placed the magic crystal in front of her while seriously observing the book.
Yalina took a much longer time than Han Jin. She didn't know which page Han Jin had been reading, so she could only flip through the pages one by one. However, from the first page to the last, she couldn't find anything. She looked up at Han Jin in suspicion, then continued to flip the book from back to front.
Han Jin was stupefied as he looked at Yalina; he couldn't understand her intentions.
"You played me! This wasn't the magic crystal from just now!" Yalina screamed in anger.
"I... don't really remember," Han Jin said. He really couldn't remember. Just now, he had just randomly picked a fire element magic crystal. The shape of the magic crystals were almost the same; how could he differentiate them properly?
"Give it to me!" Yalina spread out her hand again.
Han Jin then took out a magic crystal that was similar to what he remembered, passed it to Yalina, and finally couldn't help but ask, "Can you tell me what you're looking for?"
"What were you looking at just now?" Yalina asked in return.
Han Jin was out of words. Obviously he couldn't say that he wanted to be god and ended up looking for the secrets in the book.
Yalina didn't respond to Han Jin and once again carefully flipped through the book. However, the result was inevitable; she found nothing.
"Why are you looking at me like this?" Han Jin smiled bitterly.
"You played me again! This isn't the magic crystal from just now!"
"Yalina, I really can't remember. Plus, both of them were fire element magic crystals and there is no difference."
Yalina looked at Han Jin sternly, trying to distinguish if Han Jin was actually telling the truth. Then, suddenly placed the magic book back into her space ring.
"That... That seems to be someone else's?"
"There are so many books here anyway; they won't notice if one goes missing," Yalina blandly said before heading up the ladder. 
"What about Edwina's longbow?" Han Jin then remembered the important issue.
"It's done." Cessacioun sighed. He really couldn't figure out what had happened between Han Jin and Yalina, especially Han Jin. Yalina's scream was really loud; Han Jin really didn't hear any of it?

When Yalina presented the longbow in front of Edwina, she was completely shocked; she could hardly believe her eyes. Winston had purposely vacated a room and transformed it into a dining room so that everyone could get together. All of them were present at the scene since it was during breakfast.
There wasn't anything fancy about the longbow since they had made it themselves. The two dwarfs wouldn't add on anything by themselves, so they just did exactly what Yalina had told them to. The back of the bow was painted black and other than the mysterious runes, there weren't any additional decorations, so it looked a little rudimental. The dragon's rib had now turned blue, a tint as clear as the sky, connecting the arches together. It was stretched tightly, and it looked like a ray of glimmering light.
"I hope you like it." Yalina smiled.
"This is for me?" Edwina asked.
Han Jin was also looking at Edwina. He hadn't noticed that when Yalina and him had walked into the dining room, the formerly restless Sunier had slowly lowered her head. Then, as everyone was focused on the magical bow, Sunier had quietly stood up and left.
However, Han Jin, Moxinke and the others had already become an inseparable group after going through several thrilling adventures together. Although Han Jin was sloppy and did not notice Sunier's abnormality, the others did.
Reg stood up, slowly walked towards Han Jin, and lightly tapped his shoulder. After Han Jin turned around, he gave him a look and walked out of the dining room.
"Something wrong?" Han Jin followed Reg outside and asked softly.
"You should go comfort Sunier." Reg sighed.
"Sunier?" Han Jin turned around and looked around the dining room, but he wasn't able to find her. "What happened?"
"Did you tell her to go get some rest yesterday?"
"I did; what's wrong?"
"Then, after Sunier went to bed, you sneaked out with Yalina?"
"Sneaked out... this phrase seems a little inappropriate?" Han Jin smiled bitterly.
"Is it inappropriate for you, or for Sunier?" Reg slowly said. "Anyways... yesterday, after Sunier went to bed, she suddenly remembered something and wanted to look for you. She found out that you were gone, so she alarmed all of us. Later on, we found out that the other person who was 'missing' along with you was Yalina. Heh... you can ponder upon it yourself."
Han Jin blinked and realized the seriousness of the problem.

When I was young, the future seemed bleak for this poor aspiring writer from a third-world country, especially because I wrote fantasy which didn't sell well compared to contemporary. Anyway... my dream to become a writer had to take a backseat as life happened and I had to focus on making ends meet.
I have a decent job now, working as a freelancer, but I still dream to make it as a professional writer someday. I want to be able to wake up every morning and just decide that I want to write and write, and not having to think about how to put food on the table.

There are 2 parts to this update:

     First I want to mention something interesting I learned about San Nicolas Island.  This is the place that Emily, Zach, Lizzie, Zane, Monica, Mady, Ty and everyone live on.  I want to make it clear that I don't live on San Nicolas Island and I just choose this place because it seemed to be the perfect spot to start the novel's setting in.  So I don't know everything about the Island because I don't need to know many things about it for the novel.  I only know it's location and a few other things I looked up and found on Google.  

     The interesting thing I just learned, I read about in a book.  The book is called "Island of the Blue Dolphins" by Scott O'Dell.  This is a book I've read a few times but I read the full Author's Note for the first time today.  The Author says that a Spanish Explorer had found the "Island of the Blue Dolphins" and named it "La Isla de San Nicolas.  Which, if you can't figure it out, it means the Isle (or Island) of San Nicolas.  The Author also mentions that this was originally an Island that Indians lived on and there was an indian girl who lived their alone from 1835 to 1853.  That girl was what the book was based about.  So I learned an interesting fact about the Island's history today.  

     
     The second thing I want to say today is that I'm thinking of changing the way the novel is set up, like the format.  Right now chapters are in different Point Of Views, but I'm thinking that it might be easier for me, and might be easier and better for you guys to understand what's happening, if I change it so the story is being told in third person POV.  This way during a chapter you can read about both main characters POV.  

     For an Example, I wouldn't say a POV at the beginning of a chapter and I wouldn't use words; I, me, we, or us in the novel.  But I might still do a chapter in a POV every once in a while because it fits the story better. 


     I want to know what you guys think.  Comment at on this chapter and tell me if you want POV's still or if you want to try third person view.  I don't want to post more chapters until I know what you guys think so be sure to comment please.  If it's been a few days and no one has told me their opinions I will post a chapter in third person so you know what I mean, but before I continue the book I want to hear your opinions.

First thing I have to say is that this is a mix between Contemporary Romance and Fantasy Romance, I just picked Fantasy Romance because it seemed to fit the story more

 This is a story about Emily a girl who lives on a rather small island with a rather small population where everybody knows everybody and most secrets don't last long as a secret. She is a highschool student that is practically perfect, if someone could be perfect. She is athletic, Smart, Social, and has a crazy tight group of friends, but an important part about her is she has never ever dated someone. She is straight and finds all the boys in her school idiotic, repulsive, not worth it, unmatured, jerks, or not right for her. So she doesn't bother with dating and she focuses on everything else in her life.
 But what happens when a mysterious new boy suddenly turn Emily's world around? Will she change and accept it? Will she let her guard down? and most importantly what will she learn about him?
 
 When new boy Zach comes into her life things change, that's for sure. Bit is it for better, or worse?

My Auras couldn't create such attacks, they only possessed certain effects that could increase my pain resistance and instincts for example. This may be possible. Afterall, I only experienced my own auras as well as that Eterian's Ability. I didn't feel any Aura from the sword woman when she attacked normally, it was entirely possible that the final attack was an Aura.

'Even if an Aura can be used this way, I have too much going on now. As soon as I get better, I need to master the Natural Path skill. The blood figure gave me some ideas about it due to its advanced use of my skill. If I'm correct, I should be able to improve it a lot. This would mean that catching me, will be very difficult' I thought and started reading the book in my hands.

I was reading the Bone Treatment Log. This book couldn't help with my case but it was interesting nevertheless. 'It seems that someone who wrote this log, treated a lot of bones with defects and illnesses' I thought. The book described cases such as hollow bone structure, it would mean that the bone had no marrow. This was a very serious condition and quite rare but the person who wrote this, actually managed to heal it and described how it was done. 

Another such case was, when the author encountered a patient which seemed to be born without the bones in few of his fingers. The patient couldn't move those fingers whatsoever as there was no bone structure to support that movement. Yet the author claims that he healed that defect after a long time. It took him over a year to implant some bones and carry out the procedures in order for the patient's fingers to work again. 'If what this book says is true, then that author was a bone doctor. He specialised in bones most probably, while he could also do some other procedures as well. Stuff like implanting bones into the patient's body and so on' I thought.

I found the book interesting and read it from cover to cover, stopping only for some food. I had some food stored up in my bag and because I didn't practice anything while my hand was in healing process, it would be enough for one more week. I didn't have to hunt and simply rest.

A few more days passed and I was quite bored. The books I had, were already finished. I decided to spend some time thinking about all my skills and what to do next. 'Besides rehabilitation, I need a plan. I still want to go north, even though it's so dangerous. Everyone I met, said I would die in the north. Just what exactly is there, that it's so dangerous?' I thought.

My thoughts continued 'Going there with my still healing arm, is out of the question. With my rehabilitation, I should practice the Natural Path skill until I'm able to complete the movements of the Blood Figure from my dreams. It shouldn't take me long, I already saw the the Blood Figure do it. Perhaps a few months of time but I still lack in my combat departament. There is the Wind Daggers skill I could practice but it's not going to be easy. Although I incorporated that under the Art of Hidden Weapons, It really is an art on its own. Mastering it would take me too much time. What else can I do?'.

I went through my mind and besides the archery, there was also the Stringed Hidden Weapons which I couldn't practice either. The close combat was abysmal compared to some strong people. I had no techniques like the others. Even though I still remembered the book about fist skills, what good was it against opponents that used weapons?

Poison was a supportive skill and I also needed tools as well as herbs in order to produce a decent poison. 'I have nothing. Wind Daggers or archery is my only option. The problem is, those are not close combat skills. Wind Daggers require daggers which I have very little of. Archery requires bow and arrows, I can make arrows myself or reuse the ones I have but it is a long distance combat. If something comes closer to me and is powerful, I have no way of counterattacking. I can only… Wait!' I thought.

There was a skill I could utilise with my daggers. 'I forgot about it. This was the skill from the book about fist techniques but I can adapt it to my daggers! The book described a skill that utilised speed in order to punch multiple times. It's not really difficult to do when someone is as strong as me and I can do it with my daggers already' I thought. What I had in mind was not that simple thing, the attacking points would become the most important parts. 'This should be a start, a skill in close combat I could use. I will test that later when my arm heals but the real practice will begin after the Natural Path skill is completed. If I had the skills of the Blood Figure from my dreams, I might not have had my arm severed' I thought and laid down. The days ahead would be boring but I was already fired up to try some of the ideas I had.

The dark arts are those magicks that hurt or kill the victims. It is does not necessarily that you have to use emotions to cast these magicks contrary of my knowledge form fan fic rather only [high level curses like killing curse,torturing curse,imperatius curse,also a curse that I found in book which I found 'Mind corrosion curse'.It is one of the curses that when hit slowly corrodes mind of victim and drives them insane. This actually also uses a bit of your negative emotions to invoke victims similar emotions and sort of feed on them to repeatedly produce such emotions till his mind is filled with negeative emotions.].
At least that is what book said.I haven't tried any of dark arts but I have was suprise when I see there dark charms too.[There is charm known as edocorpus charm which makes victim feel he is a corpse.There variations of this charm that further use it as based to make the victim feel mentally scarred. There is solution to this which was mentioned in book that is [A cleansing ritual.It is ritual which removes its effect.But there is no definitve instructions on carrying the ritual.I am wasn't on planning on doing any ritual half assed so totally refrained from doing the dark arts but I did study its counter measures just in case.
I also learned about basic rituals from book though it did not contain much. But I was quite pleased with this gain.I also learned the name of author of book was Liam Moria.Maybe I can find more books from this author.
But The biggest gain I got was from the that journal about emotions and magic relation.It also explained what I felt from when I was in that bicorn incident was real.  According to researcher ,Emotions are one of the way are soul power is released.These emotions are also called as spirit power by ancient wizards.He said those who can perceive emotions of others have high spirit ower and can practise soul magic.

[Quality Ranking goes like Low-Middle-High-Perfect].So it was not much a problem for me to brew up a high quality one .But my goal from competition was perfect one with some modifications so I can draw attention.Mostly of businessmen of potions because I had products I wanted to sell so i would need to partner up with some one.I could have done that in Britain but there is blood discrimination which would cause no lord to partner up with half blood but even if they did I would be forced to get lower end of bargain.But it is different in America or MACUSA.Here they did not mind blood of wizard but they had discrimination based on colour.Well cant exactly remove vices of society.

"This seems interesting."

He read the title, "Five Elements Theory For Dummies." Then slammed it back to the bookshelf with fury.

Wu Yong laughed again.

"Be quiet!" A message transmitted over by an annoyed librarian.

Wu Leng Jing could not bear to watch Wu Feng treat the book poorly. He walked over, checked it up, then sighed a heave of relief after confirming that the book did not get damaged.

"Don't judge a book by its cover. You would not know what it contained if you never bother to read it. You could miss important information that might change your life." He softly advised.

Wu Leng Jing scrutinized the book's cover for a moment before continuing,

"the title of this book reflected the wisdom of the author. When everyone else writes a glorious title for their book filled with useless content, the author of this book instead used a title that provoked the reader's interest, yet infuriating at the same time.

The author must have wanted to use this as a test for the reader. This book might be a legendary book often mentioned in the novel- I mean record, that I often read. It must have contained unimaginably valuable information."

Wu Feng and Wu Yong looked at him with admiration. They had to admit they had been too hasty in their judgment.

Wu Leng Jing looked at the book solemnly, then sent his divine sense, intent to cover the secret of the book.

Bang!

He slammed the book back to the bookshelf with fury.

Wu Feng and Wu Yong watched with a loss for a moment, before exploding into laughter.

"BE QUIET!!!" A message transmitted over, accompanied by a suppressing aura.

"I am sorry. It was an accident." Wu Leng Jing transmitted back with a trembling voice.

"This is the last time. Once more and all of you will be banned from this library!" The voice transmitted again with a huff before the suppressing aura was withdrawn.

The trio swiped the cold sweat on their forehead.

"Alright, let's be more serious. Continue searching." Wu Feng whispered.

Wu Leng Jing finally did what he came here for.

"Brother Feng, I've read about the Five Elements theory. In the opinion of mine and the clan elders, the issue of your spiritual roots is the balance of the qi stored in dantian that nourished them before using the accumulated qi to transform them to breakthrough to the next cultivation realm."

"When other cultivators only need to accumulate one or two types of element qi, you need to accumulate and balance all five of them at the same time. This is like dividing your concentration in five, simply impossible. He said with a grim face. As he spoke further, his face was filled with sadness and sympathy to the point where he didn't dare to look at Wu Feng.

Wu Feng saw the care his brother showed. His lips curved with a carefree smile.

They then spread around to search suitable magic arts for Wu Feng.

After a couple of hours, they sat around a table. Sipping tea in the quiet room, Wu Feng said, "my good advisor, send me a good recommendations list later to my study room. I will put all of my thought and effort into whatever you recommend."

Wu Leng Jing glared at him. "Do it yourself! They are your own magic arts aren't they?"

Wu Feng shook his head, "tsk tsk, this advisor is unreliable. Alright then, let's look at our harvest."

There was a mountain of books on the table.

Wu Yong quietly reading a magic art book. His mouth was filled with osmanthus cake.

Wu Feng raised his eyebrows. "By the way, what is it you eat? Where do you get it? I thought we can't buy food in this building?"

"Oh, forgot. Here is your qiankun pouch." Wu Yong casually threw a beautifully embroidered, light blue colored pouch.

"My mother's cooking!" Wu Feng shot hot steam from his nose. He stowed away the qiankun pouch with a powerful swing of his sleeve.

"Thanks for the food." Wu Yong smiled, then sipping his tea with a blissful look.

Wu Feng glared at him. "Damn, watch your back later."

Then he started to carefully choose the books. "Come, advisor. Do your task! Help me sort this out!" He vented his anger on Wu Leng Jing.

Wu Leng Jing secretly gave a thumb up to Wu Yong before seriously helping Wu Feng picking some combinations of magic arts from different philosophies of schools and styles.

They sorted out a few combinations, then return to their own caves after making some copies on jade slips for further discussions.

Wu Yong apparently picked a magic art called Eight Changes of Heaven and Earth Lightning Fist. Despite the lengthy name, it was a magic art that focused on manipulating Yin and Yang aspects of Fire and Water spiritual roots to produce an electrocuting effect in his punch. Wu Yong did not pick any cultivation manual yet, still using Sky Pillar Lightning Manual from Wu Clan.

Wu Leng Jing chose a strange book which was titled "The Hammer of Eternity, Explosion is Justice Manual."

After arriving at his cave, Wu Feng reflected on some matters. He recalled the battle against the Black Hedgehog Bears which still made him shivered whenever it came to his mind.
