In the beginning of the school year, Serenity Luope and Adrian Weila were assigned to the same dorm room. Shocked at first, Serenity starts being vigilant towards him. Unexpectedly, Adrian falls first. 
Let's see where this rollercoaster of feelings will take them.

The summer passed in a haze of work and two close calls when Aaron was in the area but before she knew it, Keeley stood in front of her dorm building with two suitcases and her father in tow. 

It was time for her to move in because school started the following day. They used her recently acquired student ID card to pick up the key downstairs before lugging her things up to the third floor. 

As a freshman, she would be living in a traditional style dorm with no kitchen and a communal bathroom. 

Her room consisted of two beds, two desks, two dressers, a mini fridge, and a microwave. It was long, skinny, and had a single window located between the two beds. 

She decided to claim the right side of the room and asked her dad to set down the box of school supplies and wall decorations that he was carrying to help her set up a little. 

"Where do you want this?" he asked, holding out a few sheets of flower wall decals. 

She looked up from where she was putting away clothes and squinted at them. 

"Oh, I'll deal with those later. I want to spread them out across my half of the room evenly. Could you start organizing school supplies on my desk? I have a little plastic storage box with drawers for them." 

"Sure thing, honeybun. Where's your backpack? Do you need any to go in there too?"

"The notebooks should already be in there but I have a little pencil case. If you could put a couple of pens, pencils, and an eraser in it I'd appreciate it!"

Keeley did not have nearly enough room in this dresser for all of her clothes, as suspected. It was a good thing she only brought seasonal items and could go home to swap things out in her bedroom in Brooklyn anytime she wanted. It would still be warm for another month or so before she had to break out the fall outfits. 

After unpacking nearly everything she decided to do the decorations herself and sent her dad off with a hug and kiss on the cheek, promising to come visit him the following Sunday and make dinner. He hugged her tightly and told her to call him after her first day to tell him how it went. 

Just like that, he was gone and Keeley was left alone in her new home. She finished setting up the corkboard on her desk with a few photos on it and was working on spreading out the decals of roses, daisies, and leaves around when the door opened. 

A petite Hispanic girl with curly hair stood in the doorway with three large suitcases. 

"Hi!" she greeted with a Spanish accent. "I'm Valentina Benavente. Nice to meet you!"

Keeley set her decals on the bed and hurried over to help her with her bags. "I'm Keeley Hall. Here, let me take something."

Valentina smiled gratefully. "Thank you. Have you been here long?"

"Only about an hour. My dad helped me move in. Do you have anyone with you? If you don't I can help you unpack."

"I would appreciate that! I'm here alone; my parents sent me off at the airport in Lima. I want to go to an American medical school before going back home and opening up a practice," Valentina disclosed cheerfully. 

She had been here less than two minutes had been smiling the entire time.  

"Oh, you're from Peru? That's so cool! I've lived in New York City my entire life but I've always wanted to travel," Keeley said as she finished putting up the wall decals before helping her new roommate. 

"You will have to show me all of the good places around here then."

"Sure!"

They happily chatted about their expectations for their first year of college as they set up the room and discovered that they would be taking a lot of the same science classes in the future because their majors had a fair amount of overlap. They even shared the same introductory biology class this semester.

 Keeley was thrilled to meet such a friendly person right off the bat. 

Once the room was set up, it was about dinner time so they headed to the main dining hall nearby. Valentina was fascinated by all the different types of food and asked tons of questions. 

The dining hall was similar to a buffet but not quite. There were several stations offering different meal plates that could be chosen at will, plus a dessert bar that also boasted an assortment of cereal and a waffle maker for breakfast. 

Keeley got a plate of chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans plus a blueberry muffin. Valentina wanted to try a bit of everything and got plates from multiple stations, making her roommate laugh. 

"Slow down there, friend. You'll be able to try everything by the time the school year ends. I guarantee you'll be sick of the repetition at some point." 

She remembered how tiring the meal plan got back at Boston University. They had a rotation of different meals every two weeks but that was still not a lot of variety to last two semesters. It was such a relief when she moved out of the freshman dorms into an apartment that had a kitchen. 

Valentina was a bit sheepish. "You are probably right…but I have never seen this much American food in one place before."

Keeley clapped a hand on her shoulder. 

"Don't worry, you'll get acclimatized soon enough. I have to ask…have you ever had pizza? Or a hot dog?"

"No?"

"I'll have to take you to the best places around here then!" A thought struck her. "Oh, do you have a job?"

The other girl nodded. "Yes, I have a work visa to be a TA for an upper level Spanish class in the linguistics department."

That was good. Eating out in the city was not cheap. 

"That sounds a lot nicer than my job," she said with a laugh. "I work at a Burger Barn."

"I have never had a hamburger before. Should I get one from Burger Barn?"

"Nah, you'd be better off getting a higher quality burger somewhere else. We're meant to be cheap, fast, and easy but not necessarily good. I'll take you to a nice burger place, don't worry!"

By the end of the dinner, Keeley felt like she had made a new friend. Back in their dorm, someone knocked on their door asking if they wanted to come down to the rec center and join the ping pong tournament going on. 

They decided to do it since there was nothing better to do and ended up meeting a fair number of their neighbors that way. Dorm life had officially begun and Keeley loved it.

Keeley, a simple plain Jane, hits the jackpot.  [No, she did not win the lottery!]  At least that's what she thinks when she marries the most eligible bachelor in New York City: Aaron, a wealthy cold-hearted heartthrob and Tycoon. 

She wants to show the world that she deserves her position and bends over  backward to fit into his world.

One beautiful day, Aaron hands her a document asking her to sign.  A divorce paper...

"She's pregnant, and I need to take responsibility."

That is the last thing that keeps on playing in her mind before she takes her last breath.

CJ's pov

Mondays always made me sick. Who am I kidding I hated every fucking day of the week and nothing made it more fucked up than the fact that I was at college.

It wasn't Highschool, finally got my ass out of that hell hole.

It was just my second week in college and I was already thinking of when I would be out of here as well. Unlike every new comer I was already frustrated. 

I had plans for my life at this college, I'm going to make a name for myself either its the school's bitch or the class nerd I didn't give a fuck but I'm sure you have an idea. I'm going to make sure no one messes with me, Never again.

I got out of my slick red Porsche and grabbed my art supplies. Walking into the school was easy because I know the drill, people would stare. Why? Because I'm gorgeous. And I dress really well. Just because I don't give a damn about anyone doesn't mean I should dress like shit to try to prove my point.
I was walking like a bad ass until someone decided to bump into me which made me land on my ass and obviously dropping my supplies. 

"Oh I am so sorry" he said "That was totally my fault"

"Obviously " I said

"I am really sorry " he said offering her his hand to lift me off the ground. 
I slapped his hand away and got up myself "Next time look where you're fucking going"

"Yeah I'm so sorry" he packed my supplies and handed them to me. "I'm Nathan" he said offering me a hand shake.

"Like I give a fuck" I said then walked away. My second week and some dumb ass is already on my nerves.

I ended up getting late to painting class, I know I'm supposed to be a bitch about it and not care but I also plan on being the best student there, so when I'm bitchy no one would think to use my grades against me. "Fuck it" I told myself then walked in.

"Miss Dunbar, glad you could finally join us. Here at Prenton University we don't deal well with tardiness. 
Take a seat next to Mr. Michaelson" referring to the guy who sat at the back. "So class, as I was saying, welcome to Prenton University, the school of Art. As you all know we also have Prenton University the school of Science, the school of Technology and so on. In this college we only deal with making our students comfortable with showcasing their artistic talents. There are different courses like Theater Art, Photography, Performance Art, and so on. Why you chose Fine Art, which is under the Visual Art category, is what I wish to know. Anyone? Miss Dunbar? And please don't give me the because I love painting and drawing speech"

"No sir, not only do I love painting and drawing but I dream of painting the world in my perspective. How's that for an answer?"

"Beautiful" he said, I could tell from now on he was going to treat me differently. "So moving on. In this class I want your imaginations to run wild, so the theme I want painted on your canvas is how you see your life at this college. The overalls are at the corner so get started"

I had to admit the idea was brilliant I guess the people at this school do know what they are doing. I brought my own overall, it was dark blue and was fitted perfectly to my body and short too. Yeah I like attention.

"Oh, that's hot" said the boy I sat next to.

"Fuck off, fuck boy" I said to him. All he did was laugh.

His name was Cole Michaelson, at least that's what it says on his Art supplies. 
He was good looking. Almost as good looking as Nathan. Wait, why the fuck do I remember his name. Cole had Blonde hair, bright blue eyes and a tall lean figure. And that smirk was a major turn on.

"Nice to meet you too" he looked at my supplies "CJ, it has a nice ring to it. The hot girl named CJ, I like it" he added paint to his work "How has your 2 weeks at this Prestigious University been?"

"I think you mean Prenton University, the school of Art" I said with my best Mr. Robinson impression. Making both of us laugh.

"Sorry, my mistake".

"My first week really sucked, and I think the second week might just be worse" he smiled at me "Yours?" I don't know why I was still talking to him, usually I would just ignore any guy who starts a conversation the way he did. 

"Well mine wasn't too bad, I got all my friends here" he said.

I don't really like making friends but there's this one person who seems to have made a permanent hole in my heart. I know how cheesy it sounds but it's true. Nicole. You can't imagine the kind of person she must be for her to have me as a friend. No, she isn't the blonde, social media queen or the total air head like they portray the bitch's best friend in movies. 

"I can introduce you to my friends if you introduce me to yours" he offered. 

"No thanks, I've got all the friends I need or friend" I corrected "And I doubt she would be into you, besides I don't plan on making friends"

"Everyone is into me" he said with that smirk on his face "Don't worry my friends are cool, I think you would really like them"

"Like isn't really in my vocabulary" I said adding more red paint to my canvas. 

"I've never met anyone like you before"

"I could say the same thing, I don't think I have ever had a longer conversation with a guy without getting the urge to kick him in the balls" he laughed but I wasn't joking. 

"Glad I could last this long" then I laughed. He actually seemed nice, for a boy this handsome he's meant to be a total ass hole. Then I looked at his painting when he made the finishing touches. The painting illustrates a bunch of girls dressed in different clothing, some not dressed at all, standing outside a door with the numbers 230, which I'm guessing is his dorm number. 

'Boys will be boys' I thought to myself. 

"I like your painting" he commented. I painted a finger lifting the school. Yeah it looked awesome. 

"Thanks, I have no comments for yours though" lifting mine and walking to submit it, a few seconds later he joined me at the teacher's table to also submit his. 

"These look good guys" Mr. Robinson comments "You should go get ready for your next class" 

Some of the others were still working on theirs, while the rest of us took off our overalls and left with our supplies. We walked over to our cars at the parking lot. I wanted to introduce him to Raiden, my car but I just met the dude. I'll save that for later. 

We walked back into the building both heading for site seeing class. 

"So tell me about your friend" Cole said. 

"Her name is Nicole, she's under the Performance Art category studying Dance, she has long curly hair, hazel eyes, beautiful dark skin, short legs, she's fun, a bit shy and crazy once you get to know her"

"Wow, you really know your friend"

"Well, we've known each other since forever, the least I could do is master her features and behavior"

"Suddenly I feel like I don't even know my friends at all"

"Don't feel bad, Nicole and I are just really close"

"Okay, tell me about your room mates"

"I already told you about Nicole, there's Asher and Imogene"

"Asher? Asher Withmore?"

"Not too sure, but she's got an afro, dresses all dark and mysterious. Like a goth."

"Yeah, that's definitely Asher. And she's your room mate?"

"Yeah, and then there's Imogene, she's not bad to look at and she seems like a bitch. She's got wavy hair and seems wild considering the fact that wen I first got here she ran out of the dorm room in a bikini shouting 'who wants some'"

"She sounds fun" he said with an approving smile. Perv. 

"Well I don't like her very much. This morning when I was done dressing she gave me this irritated look"

"Really? I don't see anything wrong with what you're wearing"

"I asked her to fix her face before I fix it for her"

"What did she say?"

"The bitch didn't say anything"

"She's probably used to it"

"Yeah, probably"

"Well, Asher isn't like that, you'll need some time to get to know her"

"I don't really care, as long as she doesn't get in my way"

We got to the door of our next class, where we were stopped by a casually dressed man. He waited for the rest of the students before he started his own speech.

"Hello class, I'm Mr. Collins. I would be your site seeing guide. You see site seeing isn't really a course but an adventure, we would be visiting different places both inside and outside the country. We would also be joined by the Photography and Architecture students. I have a list of the people who signed up for this course, since today is our first class we would stay on school's grounds. Let's move out"

After his death, the MC met a high-level being who told him that he can send him to a world to live a second life with a few cheats with him...and of course, the MC agree to it.

Suddenly everyone in the crowd came back to their senses, and started yelling about how a dragon isn't even a real animal. "How is this fair? He can't have a mythical creature soul. It has to be a mistake!" someone in the crowd yelled out.
"Everyone calm down!" the principal yelled. The crowd instantly grew quiet and looked up at the principal with questioning looks. "I have never seen an awakened beast being a mythical creature, but that doesn't mean that Alex is any different from other awakens. At this school we admire the strong so if Alex wants to survive it will be using his own skill not relying on his beast transformations." The principal had a serious look on his face as he led Alex off the stage and back to the students' seats. 
After Alex's awakening not many people paid attention to the rest of the students that went up to try and awaken. Instead all the people in the crowd were focused on Alex and many people were wondering what Alex's transformations would look like. All Alex could think about is how much he wanted to start learning about transformations so that he could look as cool as the dragon in his soul.
Soon the awakening ceremony was completed and the spectators left the school grounds. The students were given their dorm numbers and were sent off to put their belongings in the dorms. "207. Were is 207?" Alex asked the teacher that had been standing at the gate before the ceremony.
"207 is to your left for about five minutes." The teacher responded.
"Thanks!" Alex yelled as he ran to find his dorm. After finding dorm number 207 Alex opened the door and found that no one was in the dorm yet. "No one is here yet? Oh! That's right I ran here and everyone else was walking so they will take more time to get to the dorms. Alex through his bag on the bed in the corner of the dorm and then he went to explore the dorm. The dorm had one large bathroom with three showers. There was three small bunk beds in the main room and a small table in the middle of the main room. There was a small back room for storage. Overall Alex thought the dorms were cozy and very good to live in for his school years. 
Alex heard the creak of the door as a short kid walked into the dorm. Alex got up from his bed and introduced himself. "My name is Alex. What is your name?" Alex said while shaking the kid's hand. 
"My name is Jack. You're the person who awakened a dragon, right?" Jack said as he pushed up his glasses.
"That's right! Isn't it awesome! I wonder what my transformations will look like! I hope they look super cool and are powerful." Alex said with a look of excitement blossoming on his face.
*Creak* "Hello. Are you guys My dorm mates? My name is Gregory." A tall muscular teen said after entering the dorm.
"My name is Alex." Alex introduced himself to the new member of the dorm.
"My name is Jack." Jack also introduced himself to their new dorm mate.
"What animals did you guys awaken?" Gregory asked.
Jack was the first to respond. "I awoke a bullfrog. Alex is the person who awoke the dragon."
"Really! You're the dragon soul! You're famous!" Gregory, suddenly surprised, yelled. After a minute of calming down Gregory spoke again. "I awoke a grizzly bear. It seems like this dorm is going to be pretty strong. Maybe we can win the yearly tournament." 
"What's the yearly tournament?" Alex asked.
"You don't know about the tournament? It is the largest event of the year where each dorm competes against each other in battle. The winning team gets rewards for the next year." Jack said in a serious tone.
"That sounds awesome!" Looking excited Alex started mumbling about learning as fast as he could. As Alex was thinking about classes the door to the dorm opened once again. In stepped a skinny kid with long arms and a mischievous smile.
"Hello my name is Sylvester. I heard you talking about the tournament and I think that we have a chance as long as I am here. I awoke a black mamba so as long as I fight for our team no one can defeat us." Sylvester said through a smirk. 
"A black mamba is strong but I awoke a bear so I think I can beat you." Gregory said while flexing his muscular arms.
"And Alex over there is the one who awoke a dragon so he could easily beat both of you." Jack said with a smile.
"He is the one who awoke the dragon! Then there is no way I would be able to beat him in a fight." Sylvester said with a defeated tone.
Suddenly the door opened once again and all the people in the room turned to see a shadowy figure in the door way. 
"So you are the other one who awoke a mythical creature." said the shadow in a sinister voice.

Ow, that really did a number on me, well quite frankly that isn't the worse death I've had so far. And I have had quite a lot. I stared up at the ceiling of my room feeling slight pinches of pain from the impact of the Jeep. I jumped out of bed and made it up, then I saw my luggage, crap. I'm supposed to move into the dorm in a week and I was supposed to have left thirty minutes ago, well I haven't really given thought to college nor to when I am supposed to go. Ah, well this life I'll try to live normally, luckily this is my first time going to this certain college. Might as well give it a go. I packed extra things in and ran down, how could I forget this means I won't need to worry about my parents or my grades, and I mean that in a good way. I ran into the kitchen. My parents were arguing about what they wanted to give me as my going away present. Like always, but I knew what they wanted to give me. I kissed my father's cheek startling him, then I hugged my mother's form from behind her, she whirled around and nearly hooked me with the knife she used for cutting the bread. Wow, been there already done that so no thanks! I ducked back and fell on perpase.
"Oof! Mom, watch out!" The words tasted fiergn in my mouth but I said them nonetheless. My mother placed her hands in front of her mouth.
" I am so sorry, Ly, I thought...." She began but smiled as I got back onto my feet. I smiled right back and kissed her cheek.
" Mom, since you guys are done arguing can I have some more art supplies please, mine are up." I casually said as I took my car keys from the key hanger.
"Oh, of course we'll send some to your dorm room for you, love." My father said smiling superiorly at mother making her stick her tongue out.
" Thank you, guys love ya see you in the holidays again!" I said as quickly kissed them again and took my perse from the coffee table. I threw my jacket on and picked up my luggage after opening the door. After I had placed all of my belongings into the trunk I got into my car and ignited the engine. I wonder if I'd be lucky enough to be left alone. Nope focus or there will be another car accident in my list of death. Which would certainly be a lot of car accidents, what is it with people and car accidents? Ah no, no, no, focus. It took me a while but eventually, which is four days and thirty six minutes later I arrived at the dorm ground of the Evangeline University of Maryland.

Alex~"Oh yeah we get dorms!?" "First I need to ask my parents!"*calls mom*(Ten minutes later)" She said yes!" Max~"Great! " Teacher~"Class dismissed! " Alex~"Byee!" Max~"by!"*gets up and runs out of classroom* "Alex bring your friend and let's go shopping!" Alex~"OK!" Max~*walks with Alex and Lila* Lila~aren't You M...Max?!" Max~"Yes, what's your name?"           Lila~"My name is Lila." Max~"Cool" Alex~"Here's your hoodie back." Max~"Keep it I've got plenty!" Alex~"Really, thanks Max" *ties hoodie around waist" Max~"No prob!" "Now let's get a dorm...for 3!" Alex and lila~ "What!?" Max~"Yeah since were all friends now and WE already made the deal." Thinks~she's so cute when she's embarrassed. Wait What am I thinking she'll never like me. P~¶  Max~"So its perfect!" *Walks to office with Lila and Alex* Alex~"Dorm for 3 pls!" Office Lady~"here's the keys." Alex~"Thank you" Max~"Yay!"*follows Alex to dorm with Lila* Alex"Here we are" *opens door* Dorm: white walls, brown carpet floor,big living room, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, polished kitchen, and walk in closets for each room! Bedroom 1: Almost white pink walls with little hearts on the rim, Queen sized bed, black carpet floor, medium TV, and walk in closet. Bedroom 2: black walls with stars, brown carpet, queen size bed, medium size TV. bedroom 3: sky blue walls with clouds, white carpet , queen size bed, medium TV , walk in closet. Alex~"I call the room with the stars!" Max~"I call the sky room!" Lila~"I call the heart room!" All~"Yes!" Alex, max, and Lila/All~*Runs to room* "yes."*flops on bed* " ahhhh." *gets up and walks to living room* Max~"Let's go to the mall!" : 3 All~*gets on a bus*

We got back to SNPC and once again Mary showed me the way back to my dorm. She helped me get all my stuff to the porch of my dorm. "Thanks Mary, I guess I'll see you later." "No problem, if you ever need to talk about anything, my office is room 319 and my number is 469-764-8972." "Thanks Mary." 


       I started bringing my stuff in my room of the dorm when my dorm mates noticed how much I had. "We could help you if you want." Max said. "We could?" asked Melanie to David. Max elbowed Melanie, "Yes, we could." "Thank you, I really appreciate it." I said. "Cool, so what can we do to help?" Melanie asked. "Just bring my stuff outside of my room, I can take care of the rest." "You got it." Max said. 


       Soon enough all of my stuff was put up in my room the way

 I wanted it to be. "Thanks guys, you didn't have to do that." I said after I was done. "Hey, that's what friends are for." Max replied with  a smile. "It's nice to know I have friends here. I'm still not used to living here and having supernatural powers." "You'll get used to it eventually." Melanie said right before she hugged me.


       "So you start your classes tomorrow right?" David asked. "Yeah, I'm a little nervous. I've never had supernatural classes before. What are they like?" "Well, in supernatural classes they teach us how to use our powers. The more we learn about them and practice them, the stronger they get." David said. "They also teach us some spells to use when defending ourselves, or spells to use in general." Max added. "Some spells take up more energy than others. Some are really easy to cast, others aren't." Melanie said. "I guess that doesn't sound so bad." I said. 


       "So, what are your classes?" Melanie asked. "My first period is advanced math and fire magic. My second period is advanced english and emotion control. My third period is advanced chemistry and basic spells. My fourth period is advanced history and weather control. My fifth period is magical self defense. My sixth period is  sun/light magic. My seventh period is art and my eighth period is a cooking class."


       "The cooking class sounds fun. Does that mean you'll cook for us?" Max asked with a hopeful smile. I laughed "Sure, just not everyday."  "Speaking of cooking, we really need to eat dinner. Any suggestions?" Melanie said. "Lasagna?" David asked. "I don't know how to make lasagna." Max said. "I usually cook because these two have no cooking ability." Max explained. "Oh. Well, I know how to make lasagna. I could show you how." I offered. "That would be great, thanks." Max replied.


       Max and I went to the store within the supernatural community to get what we needed. When we arrived back at the dorm we started cooking. We put the lasagna in the oven and talked while we waited for it to be ready. 


       "Have you always known you were a supernatural being?" I asked. "No, I found out when I was thirteen years old. I thought it was super cool when all of the sudden I could talk to my dog. My parents caught me talking to him one day and sent me here. I've been here ever since." "That sounds terrible. Do you ever miss your parents?" I asked concerned. "Yeah, but we talk on the phone almost every day and video chat a few times every now and then." 


       "Well at least you can still talk to your parents." I said sadly. "I'm sorry you lost parents. I can't even imagine the pain it puts you through." "Yeah, it's really hard going on in life without them. The first night I came here I cried for two hours. I just want my parents back so badly. I can't believe they're really gone." I felt my eyes start to water then I looked down at my feet. A single tear rolled down my face. Max tilted my head back up and wiped my tear away. "You'll get through this, I promise." Max wrapped me in a tight bear hug. The timer on the oven went off. Max let me go and took the lasagna out of the oven. "Wow that smells good." He looked at me "It's gonna be ok." he said sympathetically. "Eventually." I replied with a sad smile. 


       I wiped the rest of my tears away and called out "Dinner's ready!" Melanie and David came in and we all ate our dinner. After dinner David did the dishes, Max wiped down the counters, Melanie swept the floor, and I took the trash out.


       I was standing outside by the trashcan when a shadow-like creature appeared, at first I thought I was seeing things but then it tried to attack me. On instinct I shot a small ball of light at it and it disappeared, leaving behind a small black rock. I picked it up and put it in my pocket.


       When I went back inside I said goodnight to everyone then went to bed. I don't know what that shadow thing was or why it left behind that rock, but I was tired and had to be up early the next day for my new school.

All students were on their way to their dorm rooms. 

A guy accidently pushed Munya causing her to trip and fall over, but Kashala caught her before she dropped on the floor. 

She instantly recognized him to be her long lost older brother, and was bewildered and perplexed to see him. 

Her heart beat faster and her face turned red.

"Kashala…" She said.

"Munya, are you alright?" He asked as he let her go. 

Kashala gave her a hug. 

"I'm back." He said. 

Munya was in tears when he said that. 

"Welcome back…" She said as she hugged him back.

Kashala stood in front of the door of his dorm room. 

"Hey!" Atik said as he went up to him. 

"Hi."

"I'm Atik Arsalan." He said. "I'm also assigned to this room. Nice to meet you... Kashala, right?" 

"Yeah." He said. "It's nice to meet you too."

Kashala and Atik entered their dorm room together. Therein they met Adriaan Bries, Aman Madani and Tom Regenwoud. 

"There you are Atik." Aman said. 

"What took you so long?" Adriaan asked.

"I went to the toilet."

"You three are already acquainted?" Tom asked.

"Yes, we're friends and went to the same high school together." Atik said. 

"I see."

"We don't really have to introduce ourselves to each other, since we already saw on the text message who we are." Adriaan said. "So let's go to the classroom." 

Tom grabbed him by his shoulder and said: "Come on now Adriaan Bries, that's no fun right? I'm Tom Regenwoud, nice to meet y'all." 

"I'm Atik Arsalan. Well it's nice meeting you two, Tom, Kashala."

"And I'm Aman Madani, let's all get along."

"I'm Kashala Kanda. Yes, let's get along."

Chisa and Esmee were on their way to their dorm room together.

"So I'm Chisa Nishida, it's nice to meet you Esmee."

"Likewise."

"Let's be friends." 

"Friends?" She said confused. "We've just met and therefore barely know anything about each other."

"So?" She said. "We'll get to know each other better with time." 

The two entered their dorm room wherein they met Sifra Woestijn, one of their roommates.

"Good morning. I'm Chisa Nishida and you already know who this girl next to me is. It's nice to meet you."

"Good morning, Esmee and Chisa. It's nice to meet you too."

Hannah Liefdevol and Munya entered the dorm room.

"There you are Munya." Esmee said. "What took you so long to get here?" 

"I'll tell you about it later."

"So you're Munya Badila." Chisa said. "Hello, I'm Chisa Nishida. It's nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too Chisa."

"Were you and Esmee already acquainted?"

"Yes, we're best friends."

"Cool." She said. "And hello there, Hannah Liefdevol. I really like your surname."

"Liefdevol" means "lovingly" in English.

"Hello and thank you!" She said.

"Now that everyone is here, let's go to the classroom and meet our classmates." Chisa said. 

Chisa and her roommates entered the classroom. The guys were already there. Kashala's eyes met that of Munya, and Esmee noticed that.

"Munya, is that…" Esmee said.

"Kashala!" Chisa said as she, Sifra and Hannah went up to them.

"That's why it took me a while to get to the dorm room. I was processing the fact that he has indeed returned." Munya said.

"I met him in the main hall." She said, surprising her. "He was seated right next to me. I already had my suspicion that he could indeed be the Kashala you know, but I disregarded that thought due to the fact that he has a different surname."

"He got kicked out of the family because he has a different mother. He used to have "Badila" as his surname, but I guess the family changed his surname to "Kanda", which I assume is that of his late mother."

Esmee and Munya took seats at the table their roommates and the guys sat at.

The second morning at the institute starts identically to the previous day. Before long I find myself in my comfy corner of the classroom debating on what to accomplish after class. There are still two months before the start of the original story, so there's no rush to absorb all the books in the institute's library. 

Making 7,000 demon spirit coins will be a bit more difficult. Selling inscriptions still seems like a solid plan, but I've not come across the inscription section in the library yet.

Now that I reasonably think about it, physical exercise should be the number two priority on my list. I'll naturally need sufficient strength, speed, and endurance when it's time to eliminate any possible enemies. Plus, it's mandatory to possess a strong body to absorb the powers of law. Not exploding is also on my priority list.

Genuinely having no interest in the propaganda sermon about to commence, I grab some on my writing supplies to test a theory. The Library of Heaven's Path can correctly show the flaws to nearly anything I can touch. What about literary works that I create myself? 

With teacher Xia's distinctive voice in the background, I title a page 'My Profound Thoughts' and begin to write down every famous saying, quote, and controversial theories from Earth that I can think of. Inspirational and infamous movie and book lines are added next. Nothing is spared. 

My frenzied scribbles only cease once I've used my last sheet of parchment. I impatiently wait for the ink on the last few handwritten pages to dry before a carefully gather all the sheets into an orderly stack. 

With a pounding heart, I tentatively place my hand on the cover of the recently created word vomit and think 'Flaws!'

Jumping into the Library of Heaven's Path, I find myself standing before an unassuming hardbound book titled 'My Profound Thoughts'. Eagerly grasping the book and thinking about its flaws, my vision is blocked by another sheet of parchment.

A sigh escapes me due to my welcome relief. Over two hundred flaws may be a lot, but I must have written down over 400 individual quotes and theories! I'll be able to use the advance technology from Earth for creating a potential pathway for several powers of law! This is huge! 

I reluctantly return to the classroom with the intent to use the Library of Heaven's Path to create a workout plan based on Earth's modern technology, only to be halted in my tracks. I only brought a few sheets of paper today, and those are now all used. Crap.

The last few hours of class drag by. Even reading 'Heaven's Path of Human Meridians' doesn't help much due to the time dilation of the Library of Heaven's Path. Although my confidence in the study of meridians is greatly boosted after the ninth reading. Soon I'll be able to recite the entire book.

Once teacher Xia releases us for the day, I hurriedly make my way to the dining hall. The faster I get back to the writing supplies, the faster I can test out modern exercise efficiency.

My enthusiasm to get back to my dorm room nearly causes me to run into a dark-haired girl exiting another classroom. I'm able to stop before I physically run into her, but we're well within the others' personal space.

Quickly jumping back before she can react, I cup my fist and slightly bow towards her. "Forgive me. I was not paying attention. You have my deepest apologies."

Without waiting respectfully for her acknowledgment, I straiten my bent back and begin to move around her. It was then that I was able to see her full face. She was beautiful and young. Her midnight black hair framed her sculpted and young face. The cold indifference in her fierce eyes did little to age your young face.

My movement around her is only slightly paused as I instantly recognize her. Before anything or anyone can disrupt me, I'm swiftly moving down the hallway, forcibly suppressing the urge to throw-up in my mouth!

Without a doubt, I'm convinced that was Xiao Ning'er, and I'm equally convinced that Nie Li is inevitably a pedophile! Yes, I heartily agree that Ning'er is perhaps the most beautiful girl I've ever met, but she's a very young girl! Even if you squint your eyes and tilt your head, she would still look young, and that's coming from someone that was in their early twenties! Nie Li lived for over 100 years! That's not counting at least another 100 odd years spent inside the Temporal Demon Spirit Book! 

Yup. It's decided. I'm punching that pedophile square in the dick.

I change directions and head up to my dorm room. I've lost my appetite.

Once I'm sitting safely at my dorm desk, I take a moment to purge the last ten minutes from my memory. With a final shiver, I'm ready to create an exercise manual.

Two hours later, I admit defeat. While I was able to create a flawless routine to improve flexibility, I can't create a flawless routine for superior strength or speed. I'm throwing in the towel for tonight. 

Stretching my back after uncomfortable hours of sitting feels amazing. Prudently deciding that today will not be a waste, I promptly begin going through my recently created flexibility routine. I intend to merge it once I create a flawless body manual, so I see no point in naming it.

With nothing to distract me, while I'm awkwardly holding each pose, my mind starts to wonder about Xiao Ning'er's situation. There's no possible way I'm going to allow her to willingly give herself to that ancient pedophile. At the same time, I can't replicate what happened in the story for fear of Ning'er directing her feelings towards me. This undoubtedly requires a bit more thought and I'll have to tread lightly when it's time to act. 

Putting that landmine to the side, for now, I try focusing on improving my flexibility. 

The rest of the first week of school finishes with the same daily routine. I rise promptly with the morning bells and dutifully go through my flexibility routine, followed by cleaning myself up before breakfast. Once I'm in my classroom, I typically split my time between listening to teacher Xia and reading 'Heaven's Path of Human Meridians'. After dozens of extensive readings, it's now possible for me to recite most of the mystical book while correctly pointing out the indicated meridian or pathway. After class is dinner, followed by a dull night in the institute's library absorbing books. Once I return to my dorm, I'll typically go through the flexibility routine again before taking a bath and going to sleep.

My first week turned very redundant, but I've already absorbed nearly a third of the books in the library. A side bonus, I can do the splits now. Get to channel my inner Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Today will be a bit different than normal. After six straight days of class, we get a free day. After my morning routine, I make my way off-campus for the first time in a week.

I'm glad to see I'm not alone in my exit. A dozen other students also make their way into the central district. Moving within disorderly crowds is a great way to hide in plain view. As Joseph Heller said: "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you."

Unfortunately, my little security blanket is slowly dispersed before I arrive at my intended destination. I debated with myself for many hours on intentionally delaying my visit, but I'm really craving a bit of scenery change from the institute's library. 

Not really sure how visiting another library would be much of a change.

Taking in the welcome sight of my destination, I'm a bit disappointed. The grounds are large but the buildings seem to be old and ill cared for. The open courtyard is spacious but appears to be on the verge of being unkempt. 

Determined to see this through, I stoically pass through the entry gates uncontested, making my way to a comely looking woman wearing a grey robe. Before I can introduce myself, she greets me with a professional smile and says cordially, "Welcome to the Alchemy Association. May I be of assistance?"
