At nightfall… 
Ming Shu avoided those disciples and sneaked into Yun Yao's room. 
Yun Yao seemed to be taking a shower. The sound of falling water filled the whole room. 
Yun Yao's vague voice came from inside: "You can't do this next time. It really scared me. They almost found it out. If it's discovered, it'll be me who will be driven away." 
"I know. If it weren't for that man suddenly appearing, you wouldn't have been exposed," a young voice answered, sounding a bit wronged. 
Ming Shu raised her eyebrows. It was really related to the fake female protagonist? 
"Who was that man?" 
"I don't know. I have been away from the Yin Sect for a long time." The young voice sounded very steady, which was somewhat twisted. "I made great efforts to get those elixirs, and now I lost them so easily. When will you find some elixirs?" 
"No, behave yourself, don't steal elixirs again." Yun Yao warned, "You will kill me. I will find a way to get you elixirs." 
Was it the golden finger of the fake female protagonist? 
So… the Host was framed of stealing the elixirs, which in fact was because of the fake female protagonist? 
Ming Shu opened the curtain and went in.

Perhaps Ming Shu's gaze was too straightforward. Yun Yao subconsciously covered the bracelet and asked, "Xuan Ji, what are you doing in my room?" 
The steam rose around them, blurring the girl's smiling face. "I'm here to have a private conversation with you." 
"What?" Yun Yao was confused, and she frowned. "If you want to tell me something, you need to wait for me to put my clothes on. Just leave first." 
Although Yun Yao didn't know how she came in so quietly, at this time she wasn't wearing anything. Even though they were both girls, Yun Yao felt somewhat uncomfortable. 
Ming Shu didn't listen to her, and instead approached the tub. 
"Stop right there!" 
"Xuan Ji, stop right there, if you come any closer, I will take action." 
But Ming Shu didn't seem to have heard her. Yun Yao immediately wrapped herself in the clothes beside her. 
She raised her hand and attacked Ming Shu with a magic art, trying to trap Ming Shu. 
Ming Shu moved aside a little and successfully avoided the attack. She was so swift that Yun Yao didn't react in time.

Yun Yao was shocked. "You…"

"Did you steal the elixirs?" The clear voice came from over the top of her head. 
"Wuwuwu…" Yun Yao struggled. 
Ming Shu loosened her hand a little and let her breathe. "Did you steal the elixirs?" she asked again. 
Since Yun Yao came to this world, she had never met such a terrible situation. She shook her head with a pale face. "No… no." 
"I heard you talking just now." Ming Shu slid her fingertips to Yun Yao's wrist. "Was it this? What's inside this bracelet? An ancient divine beast? Or…" 
"This is just a bracelet, there's nothing in it." Yun Yao screamed, "You let go of me, Xuan Ji! We had nothing against each other, why are you doing this to me?" 
"You're right." Ming Shu once again pushed her down. "We had nothing against each other. But you stole the elixirs and just watched others frame me?" 
"Wuwuwuwu…" 
Yun Yao was pulled up again. She breathed heavily and her eyes turned red. "I don't know… I didn't know they would frame you. It's them who framed you, it had nothing to do with me. I just took the elixirs. You are looking for the wrong person." 
"You admit it now? Didn't you just deny it?" 
Yun Yao kept trembling. She didn't want to admit it, but she was afraid of the smiling person in front of her. 
She felt that if she didn't admit it, she might be killed here. 
"But you are safe and sound now, right?" Yun Yao took a breath. "I didn't mean to take the elixirs. The people who framed you were also punished. What else do you want?" 
Ming Shu: "…" You just deserve to be a fake female protagonist.
If a female protagonist said something like this, she would have been forced to get offline by the audience. 
Ming Shu smiled and said, "I want to teach you a lesson."

It rained a person just now. 
Yun Yao screamed as she got out of the tub and stood aside while wrapping herself in her clothes. The coldness in the air was fading away. Ming Shu guessed that it should have been caused by the owner of that voice she heard before. 
According to the routine plot, the protagonist's golden finger would not come up in the heyday, and it would be in a weak state at first. 
This thing should be weak now, so it could only make one bit of trouble.

The person in the tub was in a white coat. He seemed to be hurt and grunted, a painful sound. The water in the tub instantly turned red.

Ming Shu closed the window behind him without any hesitation. "Okay now, come, let's continue." 
Yun Yao looked at the closed window with a dumbfounded face.

The woman took a deep breath and adjusted her emotions. She looked at Mu Chenyan and thought that the woman in front of her had gone through a lot.
She was arrested at her wedding, so she must have been desolated. Then, she had to suffer in jail and was tormented with the separation of her loved ones. If this were to happen on an average person, they would probably cry in misery all day long.

Her lips had been attacked suddenly by a cold "murder weapon" when she was sleeping peacefully. She was so frightened by the sensation she had burst into tears almost immediately.
Mu Chenyan picked up the pinkish little princess quickly and wiped her lips. The little princess had fallen asleep after Mu Chenyan breastfed her for a short while. Only then Mu Chenyan breathed a long sigh of relief.
Yan Muyu seemed to be very frustrated. His head was lowered, and the ice cream in his hands had melted already. He was feeling down, so he wiped his little hands on his pants, and his clothes were filthy with chocolate.
"Muyu, come here." Mu Chenyan's voice was very gentle as she reached her hands out to Yan Muyu.
Yan Muyu seemed a little scared. His eyes turned red, and he dared not move forward.
"Muyu, mum has a question for you: do you like your sister very much?"
Mu Chenyan asked in a gentle tone as she moved and wrapped her arms around her son.
Yan Muyu nodded. "I wanted to give her chocolate, so she can stop sleeping all the time. I want her to grow up quickly so that she can play with me!"
Mu Chenyan laughed when she heard that. She comforted him by saying, "You like your sister, so you gave her something you think is the best. You did the right thing and you're a good brother."
Yan Muyu nodded earnestly and looked at the ice cream in his hand. He was not willing to finish it even though it had melted into a pool of water.
"Sister is still too young now, so she can't eat this now.But when she grows up a little, she'll know the person who loves her the most is her brother!"
Mu Chenyan laid a light kiss on Yan Muyu's head. Her heart was touched deeply.

Gordon Zhou had just walked toward the elevator to leave for the day when he heard Charlotte happily chatting with people. He stopped out of her sight and listened. He soon realized she was on a voice call with family. He could hear the worry in her voice as she talked about her mother's health. 
  He swallowed hard. He felt uncomfortable in his heart when he thought of the burden Charlotte and her family carried. His logic told him nearly all of his employees could tell similar stories of misfortune but he'd never felt like this before—the urge to do something. To fix the problem. He knew with his vast fortune that he had the power to ease their suffering, but how could he do it without offending Charlotte and her family? 
  Just then Charlotte came around the corner to the elevators. Their eyes met. She looked surprised. 
  "Mr. Zhou, good evening." She said gently. She seemed tired. 
  "Miss Xia." He nodded in his same reserved voice. 
  They both took the same elevator. There was an awkward silence until Gordon spoke up, "I can loan you the money if you need it." 
  "Ah, you heard my conversation." She guessed. 
  "Right." He affirmed. 
  "Mr. Zhou, the amount my mother needs for treatment is more than I can repay you in a timely manner. I'm afraid that as a businessman, you know loaning to someone like me is a risk." Charlotte explained. 
  "How about this? I need someone to attend business events and such. I can pay you $10,000 each time you attend with me." Gordon offered. 
  "Absolutely not. I am not a paid escort. It goes against my bottom line. If you want me to go out with you for some reason, I will be honored and happily go. But I won't accept money for it." Charlotte explained. 
  He considered her words. She might just be the first woman he'd met that wasn't after his money. He found his respect for her growing. And she said she'd happily be willing to go out with him. Did that mean...
  "I know! I could cook for you in exchange for helping my mother. But not at $10,000 a meal!" Charlotte interrupted his thoughts. He was startled. 
  "You cook?" He asked. 
  "Of course. My dad died when I was young and before my mom got sick she worked to provide my sister and I. I had to learn to cook so I could take care of me and my sister while mom was at work." Charlotte explained. 
  Gordon was surprised. As a child until the present his meals had always been prepared by a gourmet chef employed by his family. He couldn't imagine the struggles she'd faced. 
  "I'm sorry." He said quietly. 
  "No need. I may not be able to run in high heels but I've been cooking for over half my life. I don't mean to brag, but it's one thing I do well." She said with quiet confidence. 
  "Then please allow me to take you home so I can sample your cooking. Unless, you have a car here already?" Gordon asked. 
  "No, I don't have a car." Charlotte said. 
  The elevator stopped on the ground floor and she followed him outside where his driver waited for him in a Rolls Royce. Charlotte's eyes widened. She'd never ridden in such a luxury car. Gordon waited for her to enter and then followed her in. 
  He noticed the look of utter shock and surprise on his driver's face. To his credit, the driver remained silent and followed Charlotte's directions. Soon they arrived at her apartment. 
  He followed her out of the elevator and to her door. Suddenly she paused. 
  "Mr. Zhou, my home is humble. I just realized I'm not really qualified to receive you."
  He looked at her worried little face and said, "I don't look down on you. There's no need for concern."
  She nodded and unlocked the door. He followed her inside and took in his surroundings. It was small but well kept and clean. Bright colors splashed happily around the room in her decor. 
  To his right was a small kitchen area full of brightly colored dish towels and shelves of colorful dishes and glassware. Ahead was a living area. A simple but modern grey couch covered in brightly colored pillows faced a simple wooden table and in the wall a TV was mounted. 
  The walls were covered in reprints of famous works of abstract art, their happy colors catching his eyes. Straight ahead and past the living room was a balcony with a small stone table and two bright yellow bean bags. To his right, past the kitchen was a door. 
  "Make yourself at home. I'm going to change out of my work clothes before I start dinner." Charlotte said as she kicked her high heels off and hung her purse by the front door. She slipped on a pair of house slippers. 
  She headed toward the closed door while Gordon also put on a pair of slippers. He walked around the small apartment taking in the paintings on the wall. He noticed a multi-colored rug taking up most of the floor space in the living area. 
  Just then Charlotte reappeared in a pair of black leggings and a baggy tee-shirt. Her hair was tied up in a messy bun. His lips twitched into a smile without realizing it. She looked like a little girl playing dress up with her mother's clothes. 
  "I don't believe it!" She exclaimed, looking at him. 
  "What is it?" Gordon asked in confusion. 
  "You really can smile! You should do that more often!" She had teased him but praised him in the end. 
  Gordon turned his head quickly in embarrassment but Charlotte ignored it. As she tied an oversized apron around her waist he asked, "May I use the washroom?" 
  "It's through the bedroom." She absentmindedly answered as she began pulling ingredients out. 
  "Hey, what do you want to eat?" She called out as he wasn't about to pass into the bedroom. He paused. In truth he was picky about his food but he wasn't certain what she had on hand and didn't want to offend her. 
  "I'm sure anything will be fine." He said as he went in the bedroom and hurried into the washroom. Brightly colored rugs and towels added color to the tiny bathroom. He had closets bigger than this space, but he admired her ability to make the small room welcoming. 
  After he finished washing his hands he stepped back into the bedroom again and was finally able to see this room clearly. Bright red curtains graced the window and the bed was covered in a bedspread with bright red poppies splashed across it. He noticed a few picture frames on her dresser and he stepped closer to look. 
  A handsome couple and two young girls happily smiled back at him. This had to be her family before she lost her father. A more recent photo showed a gently smiling elder woman. Charlotte and a young girl who looked similar in appearance hugged the woman and smiled. 
  He glanced at the cloakroom filled with bright colored clothes. 
  Gordon turned back to go into the kitchen when he noticed the paintings on the wall. These were not framed reprints like those in the living area. These were canvases and they were happy scenes of nature. Bright orange sunsets, and lovely pink cherry blossoms, and deep blue-green oceans. 
  "Who is the artist of these paintings?" Gordon called out. 
  Charlotte appeared at the door wiping her hands on a towel. 
  "I did those in college. I minored in art." She explained. 
  "You painted these?" He asked in surprise as he stepped closer to the sunset painting. 
  "Yes." She affirmed. 
  "Would you paint one for my office?" He asked suddenly.

After what happened the seniors have been pulling pranks on Song. First was the old water bucket trick where they put a water bucket on the door and it falls if you open the door. Next was throwing his shoes in the garbage after that it escalated to putting thumbtacks on his seat and his shoes. The last on is what got to him. The seniors framed him. Luckily he got out without any harsh punishments except for detention. 

Somg had enough of the pranks walked right up to Luke and angrily said, " If you dont control your senior fan club then dont expect me to not start a fight because they've been pulling dumb pranks on me and even framed me! So it's either you shut them down or a fight is going to happen." 

Luke looked at Song in shock. He didnt think that Song could get angry after all everyone called him bot because of his lack of emotions. "Wa-what do you mean senior fan club? I dont have a fan clu-" Before Luke could finish he was rudely interrupted by the seniors that pranked and framed him. "Lukeyyy!" Shouted the seniors from across the hall. "Lukeyy come hang out with us!" The seniors ran next to Luke and hugged his arm. One of the seniors pushed his arm against her chest and said in seductive way,"Come on let's go!" 

"Girls wait I need to finish my conversation with Song-hyung." Luke calmly replied like he wasn't attracted to them. 

"Oh okay."one of the seniors said and she rolled her eyes. The seniors walked right passed Song and whispers, " I told you to stay away unless you want something to happen." That's when Song-hyung snapped and loudly said? "Stop right there!" They immediately stopped and looked worried like they've killed someone. Right there and then Song said very loudly, " Why did you frame me? You shouldn't do things that are unnecessary." 

"Wait...you guys were the ones that framed hyung?" Luke said in shock.  "Do you have proof? Stop accusing that we framed you!" The seniors said shedding a fake tear. 
"Proof? You want proof? I'll give you proof! First of when you 'lost' your phone I was in the bathroom. Second when you said I 'stole' your phone when I dont even know what it looks like. And third how did you even know I 'stole' it? huh? explain that! If you dont admit the truth then call the police and check the fingerprints." Song shouted.

Arriving at the coordinates that Henry has to send her, Sarah James is shocked to find an inviting cabin so deep in the swamps.
The light inside and outside the cabin is her beacon of light in the darkness of the light. Because of the changing seasons, the winter moon is already descending upon the treeline when Sarah leaves her car to knock on Henry's door.
Despite having skipped her evening workout Sarah is exhausted from her mother's scam and fighting her stepfather, so much so, that she after waiting for two minutes tries to go in, technically being invited. To her utter delight, the front door is unlocked.
Moving inside, Sarah is instantly enveloped by the warmth from the crackling fire in the chimney. Looking around she is instantly surprised by two things. First, everything is squeaky clean, totally at odds with her impressions of bachelor pets. Second, nothing seems misplaced as if this cabin was a showcase house for potential buyers, because nothing is indicating that someone is actually living here.
-It must be because he just came back from overseas...- The starlet thinks to herself further exploring the ground floor. To the left of the entrance is an inviting state of the art kitchen. White Italian marble used on the floor and on top of every surface make this kitchen seem not only expensive but also homey. Centerpieces of the kitchen are for one the silver extra large fridge and the kitchen island in the middle of the kitchen. The walls are either occupied with two-piece cabinets, one overhead and one underneath marble work surfaces.
-What a masterpiece! - She can only think of when describing this kitchen. Taking a glass out of one overhead cabin and getting water from a gorgeous sink, she moves into the next room.
Coming into the dining room, Sarah is blasted away by the view looking out of the huge wall-sized windows. A silent creek and a small pier are illuminated by moonlight but also the outdoor lighting. -Looks perfect. Just like a painting.- She thinks before averting her eyes to check out the room. Seeing a huge flat screen on the wall a library of movies and video games on the shelves, she is instantly reminded that a man is living here. 
-Still a man cave...- She thinks to turn on the TV and starts looking through the shelves until she finds a picture of Henry and his family. On the first casual look, the family seems normal a beautiful Asian looking woman, a tall good looking black man, and a Henry around six years. On the second look at which Sara focuses less on the cute Henry but at his parents, her breathing freezes. Only now does she recognize the adult male in the picture remember his name. 
-Edgar King, the Founder and current Ceo of King Investments, a multibillion-dollar investment firm and a social circle above even her Stepfather Jack Kyles.- Thinking about the implications that this man being Henry's father entails. -Holy freaking shit! Henry is rich?!-
With that moving on to the next room is suddenly a lot harder to do. 
-Is he too good for me?- Having depressing thoughts as these she goes into the next room that as it turns out is a bathroom. There she instantly falls in love with the family sized hot tub. Huge and comfortable at the same time Sarah instantly can imagine herself lounging inside of it looking over the creek.
Forcing herself to exit her new favorite place in Henry's cabin she comes full circle, rentering the entrance, where one set of stairs lead to the second floor. Wanting to move up the stairs curious about what she might find in her new rich friend's bedroom, just like a child on an adventure, she hears a motorcycle outside.
-Is that Henry?- Sarah asks herself, moving to the front door, spying through the window next to it.

Being surprised by the Ferrari on my lawn, my mind doesn't connect it to the timid, hoody wearing Sarah from the airport.

Hearing my sister's words of the car neither belonging to her or my father I instantly draw my gun, equipping the silencer on it and move out of sight from the front porch. Out of side, I command the system to show me the map and instantly a mental minimap appears in my mind showing my current position, the cabins structure and one single green dot behind a window near my front door.
Moving around the house I hear Sarah's voice from the gaming room saying: ''I always tell them, 'Chanel No.5' because it's the truth… And yet, I don't want to say 'nude'. But it's the truth!..''
My mind short circuits and I move into action without any care, only thinking the worst. -Could be CI, but they don't drive in Ferraris. Could be Michael holding a grudge because of scamming him by paying only a dollar for the land, but he also doesn't have the pockets to fit the bill. MI7 taking Sarah hostage? Most likely because they have the pockets and keep grudges for a long time...-
Moving through the open bathroom door connecting the back porch with the inside, I first go to the entrance, expecting an armed intruder.
Gun pointed high I sneak up on the blond woman still looking outside. My right covering her mouth and left pointing my gun at the small of her back, I instantly take the intruder hostage warning.
''Don't move I have a 9 mil aimed at your kidneys. One wrong move and you will painfully bleed out.''
Wordlessly I direct the woman into the game room where I think Sarah is held captive. Without looking at the women's face I am ready to hit her unconscious the moment I see Sarah.
What I find in the game room is not what I expect to see. Nobody tight up on the sofa, but a turned on TV showing Sarah for a short moment in the woods before showing a title screen of an upcoming movie called 'Dawn 3-Until Dawn part I' before switching to another saying 'Starring Sarah James and Robert Paiton- in theaters- December 21'.
''What the fuck?'' I say thinking out loud before turning my blond hostage around. Looking at the woman's face framed by blond and partly covered by my hand mouth, I remove my hand from her thinking. 
-Sarah is a movie star?-
''I am sorry for entering!'' Sarah tells me frightened looking at my still drawn gun aimed at her.
Lowering my gun embarrassed, I tell her guilty admitting my fault. ''You don't have to be sorry for entering. I invited you. It just didn't cross my mind that the Ferrari on my lawn was yours. After my sister...'' I stop explaining and stop apologizing because am amazed by one blond heading angle.
''Stop talking and let me hug you.'' I hear coming from my chest and feel a sudden wetness on my chest. Hugging Sarah back, I press her even closer to my chest, asking her: ''How can I make this up to you?''
Hearing a light sniffing, I look down, finding Sarah look up at me. Just when I am about to kiss her she answers me in a childish voice totally ruining the mood: ''To make it up to me, let's watch 'All I Want for Christmas' with Leslie Nielsen and eat pizza!''

As Nathan pulled himself together, Stacy and Penny walked around the room. The former was slowly taking note of everything in her vicinity; the framed family photos, the little bobbles and memorabilia, and the old fashioned furniture all made the home feel a bit cozy to her even though it was the first time she'd seen it. "Where are you two going to study?" Penny asked, walking over to a table and picking up a knickknack to dust it off.
"How about here?" Stacy asked, setting her things on the table as she opened up her bag. One by one, she pulled out notebook after notebook until the entire tabletop was hidden under their covers.
"That's a lot…" Penny mumbled, looking over at her brother as he finally regained composure; a small smile formed on her face. "Why not study in his room, you'll have more space and some silence." She suggested, winking to Nathan as he tried to dissuade his classmate.
"I don't mind." Stacy smiled, quickly packing up and following Penny over; much to Nathan's dismay. Entering the room, she took in her surroundings again. Crumpled up scraps of paper littered the floor as a desk overflowed with paint that ran down its side. She brushed that aside, pulling over the chair by the desk and taking a seat as she put out her materials again. Nathan looked over at Penny as she closed the door, silently cursing his sister for putting him in this situation.
He shakily walked up, taking a seat on the floor as he could feel his heart start to beat faster. "Where do we start?" He said to try and ease his nerves.
"How about history? Stacy suggested, pulling out her book on the subject to flip to a particular page. They spent the next few minutes going back and forth to make sure that the information stuck, repeating for every new lesson that they needed to learn; all in all, they were done in less than an hour. "That was faster than I thought it'd be." She said, surprised. "What do we do now?" She looked over as he pulled out his phone, playing the game he had just gotten into recently. "Really?"
"What? We're done studying, might as well enjoy my free time." He retorted, setting himself up on his bed with his eyes glued to his phone. He heard a sigh from her as she looked around at all the crumpled sheets of paper. She flattened one out on the desk, revealing a sketch of a man in the front seat of a car. "Can you not?" Nathan asked, looking at it with a frown.
"Oh, sorry. I was just a bit curious. After all, you do things like this so well, I just wanted to see more of it." She said, setting it down on the desk as she walked over. "Why do you draw?" She asked as she watched him switch off his phone and get up.
"It's a long story, but if you want an answer…" He paused as he made his way to the door. "It's because I want to. That's the short answer." With that, he left the room with her in tow; Stacy following him out of curiosity. The two of them made their way into the garage, where Nathan's latest project was out for them to see.
He sat down, quietly getting his things together as he started working on it again. "Because you want to? It must be nice to have that much time to goof off and do things like that." Stacy's voice turned a bit cold as she uttered those words, her gaze drifting downward as she took steps toward the easel to get a better look. "Is that game fun, the one on your phone?"
"It's enjoyable." He said; his focus solely on his painting. "Why do you ask?"
"It's nothing. It was just a silly question to fill the silence." She said, walking around and noticing the other paintings in the garage. "What does your sister think of this? She told me that you don't really like talking to people, but by the looks of things, you seem to spend most of your time here."
"What does it matter?" Nathan stopped his brush, setting his palette down on the floor. "I mean, I know she means well by worrying, but what she thinks of it doesn't really affect it, does it?" He asked with a smile.
"Of course it does, she's your family. You should at least consider her opinion on things." Stacy retorted, her hand hovering over her bag.
"Stacy. I'm not going to let other people decide how I live my life. It's my life, after all. And I'm not doing anything bad; it's just a hobby anyway." Nathan smiled. "What about you? What do you even do other than study?"
"I…"
"Hmm? Sure, sure. Studying is great and it will help your future. If you like that, then good for you." Nathan started pacing around her. "But think about it, who are you working so hard to please? Is it you, or someone else?" He took a step toward her, getting her to take a few steps back and toward the door.
"I think I'll be going home now. My work here is done." She said, hastily walking out of the door as Nathan saw her off. After a few minutes of painting after she left, Nathan returned to his room and thought about what had happened.
"Fuck…" He mumbled to himself. "Why did I say that?" He flailed in his bed, screaming into his pillows as he repeatedly slammed his head into his mattress. "She's gonna think I'm some kind of weirdo now, is she?" He mumbled again. His thoughts ran wild like that over the next hour, slowly lulling him to sleep as he wore himself out from worrying too much. He tossed and turned in bed, his heart rate going up more than usual as he woke up in a cold sweat the next day. He opened his eyes, wiping his face with his hand as he groaned.
It was the weekend, but he only felt tense due to his actions the previous day. After pacing around the room for a while, he entered the bathroom to stare at his reflection. For five minutes he stared; brows furrowing as his lips curled into a discontent frown. "Hey? You okay? You've been there for a while." Penny knocked on the door, opening it slightly to sneak a glance at her brother.
He was hunched over the sink, gaze directed at himself as he muttered curses and insults at his reflection. "Idiot! Why did you let this happen again?" He mumbled, slamming his hand down against the sink as he let out an exasperated sigh; stomping out of the bathroom and into the kitchen where he got something to cool himself off. "Me and my big mouth…" Chuckling at his blunder with a melancholic look on his face, he sat down at the sofa and turned on the TV. His sister would join him soon, taking a seat beside him while browsing her phone.
"What happened this time?" She asked, switching off her screen and looking over at his face.
"I talked too much and it pissed her off." He leaned back; letting his arms dangle on the sofa as he stared up into the ceiling. "I guess I'll be alone again this year."
"How can you say that she was mad? She didn't look that upset when I saw her leave." Penny interjected, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Don't beat yourself up over something that might not even be true." She added; rocking him gently as he sat back up and looked around.
"Is it just the two of us today?" He asked, walking over to the window to see if anyone was outside."
"Yeah, just you and me. Anything you want to do?" Penny smiled, standing up and walking over to a cabinet they had. She opened it, revealing some more photos and a few old and beat up boxes.
"I don't feel like playing today. I think I'll just paint…" Nathan sighed, turning his body to make his way into the garage. He heard footsteps following behind him, stopping as he got to his chair and continued on with his painting. "You just gonna watch or?"
"Probably. This is more your thing." Penny said, taking a closer look at the painting. "I want to go back there. We had such a great time the last time we went there." She moved over a few empty paint cans and used them as a makeshift stool for herself.
"Yeah… Maybe when you learn to drive or something…" Nathan smiled, picking up his brush as he looked at what he'd done so far. He stared and stared at the canvas, his brush floating inches away from its surface as his hands started trembling. He'd finished most of the work already; the background was done, the mother and father of the painting were nearly done, and the sister was only missing a few details on her clothing, yet he couldn't find a way to tie it all together.
"You stumped?" Penny asked, chuckling a bit to herself as she got up and walked over. Nathan nodded, setting his things aside and stretching his hands. He looked around the room, eyes glossing over his previous paintings. There was one of an apple that he started with, the one that made him think that he could do this for more than just a hobby; next was one that he was proud of: a piece that looked as if it were a stained glass mural akin to those in churches, it was of a tree in fall as its leaves were drifting toward the ground. Penny glanced around as well, following his eyes with her own as she tried to think of something to break the silence. "How come you never show these to people? Some people would pay to see this or have you make art for them."
"It's not about the money, sis." Nathan looked at her, putting his hands behind his head. "And these aren't even that good. It's nothing compared to what others have made."
"You know, you've got to stop comparing yourself to others." Penny got up, walked toward him, and trapped his head in her arm as she dug her knuckles into his scalp. "And these are good. Your standards are too high." She joked, releasing him from his torture as she walked toward the door. "Want to go out today?"
"Well, I have nothing else to do." Nathan thought about what she said. In truth, he felt his chest swell up a bit as he looked around the room, but he wouldn't tell anyone that. He chose to keep his pride hidden by degrading his skills, though there are times where he believes his words more than his feelings. "Where do you want to go?" He asked, following after her as the two of them made their way to their rooms for a change of clothes.
The two walked out to the street in casual wear, riding on the bus out of the suburbs and into the town. "There's this new café I went to with my friends the other day. I'll treat you since you and your girlfriend had such a great time last night." She grinned, looking out as she tried to remember where to get off at. Nathan's cheeks grew flushed as he averted his gaze.
"One: We're not even friends. Two: It didn't go well." He crossed his arms, staring out into the sky as a bright and sunny day was ahead of him. He lowered his head a bit, gazing into the interior of the buildings they were passing by. An arcade had opened up with some new games from overseas, new clothing stores were drawing in droves of people, and an old bookstore was stocking the shelves with new releases. He smiled softly. "Do you think a museum or an art gallery would open up here if they had the chance?" He asked, leaning back in his chair as they neared their stop.

Nathan is a young painter with a bad habit of never being satisfied with his art. Secluding himself in their garage for hours on end, cutting off most of his surroundings, and distancing himself from his peers are all things he's done in an attempt to focus on his skills. But is this really what he should be doing?

Li Ang's bewitching eyes narrowed into slits as he twisted the little woman with a stiff expression. "DARN GIRL, run! Why aren't you running? "
He was really angry. Who was he worried about?
Qin Sheng looked at the window beside her helplessly. If she ran any further, she would jump out of the window. She did not want to court death yet.
"Lord Jue, why are you so angry? You kissed me. I did not tell the principal, and you're still angry? "
"You didn't tell the principal that I have to thank you? Why don't you call the principal over now and see if he dares to say a word? COME HERE! " He stretched out his hand and called the girl over.
"What? There's no need to go over. We're even. I'll leave first. " Qin Sheng said as she walked close to the wall, wanting to go around the man.
Li Ang took a step forward and blocked the girl's path. Even Was it even between them?
"speak, what's with the pregnancy? How long has it been? Is it Gong Mochen's? "
He got angry as he spoke. It was not his However, he would rather it be someone else's than Gong Mochen's. That would be more harmful to Qin Sheng.
"What pregnancy? " Qin Sheng was stunned.
"You're still lying? Qin Yunting took out your pregnancy test kit! Tell me the truth! Forget it, I'll take you to the doctor. You can't keep the child! "
Li Ang grabbed Qin Sheng's hand. She definitely could not keep the child. What kind of healthy child could grow out of that poisoned seed? It must be a deformed child. He would first abort the child, then he would ask Sikong Jue to prepare the antidote for Qin Sheng.
Qin Sheng dragged her back and refused to leave. She held the man's hand and said, "what pregnancy? I'M NOT PREGNANT! Damn Qin Yunting, she framed me! "
The F * Cking Qin Yunting, she really wanted to f * Ck her grandfather. Why was she so free that she even went through the trash can?
Suddenly, she thought of something and immediately spat in her heart. She did not say what she said just now. She had forgotten that Qin Yunting's grandfather was her father.
Dad, be quiet Next time, you must be careful not to disturb your sleep. She muttered to herself.
"No? Really? I'm warning you, you're not allowed to LIE TO ME! " Li Ang asked.
Qin Sheng was just about to answer when she saw the people rushing over from the corridor.
"Uncle, why are you here? " She called out.
Gong Mochen's expression was obviously not good, and his anxious look was something he had never seen before.
He ran over and punched Li Ang. "Li Ang, go to hell! Did you make Qin Sheng pregnant? "
His lungs were about to explode. He had made out with Qin Sheng a few times, but he was paying attention. If he didn't really want her, how could she be pregnant?
If she was pregnant, he felt that it must be Li Ang. Only Li Ang was around Qin Sheng every day.
Li Ang raised his hand to block Gong Mochen's fist. He wanted to explain, but Gong Mochen had beaten him up so badly that he simply did not explain.
"Yes, it's my child. I said that I would make Qin Sheng Beg to marry me! "
"You are courting death! Even if I kill you, I will not let you marry Qin Sheng! " Gong Mochen said his words
"Hehe, she is already pregnant now. No matter how you stop her, she is still mine. When you die, I will take her away! " Li Ang said smugly.
The Angrier Gong Mochen was, the better he felt. Seeing Gong Mochen so angry that his face turned black, he was so happy that he wanted to bubble up.
The two men punched and kicked each other, but their martial arts were close. Neither of them could take advantage of the other.
Qin Sheng spat out a mouthful of blood. She was so angry that she wanted to kill Li Ang!
"Uncle, stop hitting me. I am not pregnant. It was Qin Yunting who framed me! " She shouted loudly.
"Qin Sheng, shut up. After you finish him, I will settle the score with you! " Gong mochen shouted angrily.
He kicked Li Ang directly. Li Ang also kicked back, and the two of them stood firmly on the ground.
Qin Sheng was anxious. "really, if you don't believe me, check my body. My, my what is still there. How can I get pregnant? "
Her voice shrank shyly after that.
Her Membrane was still there. It was too easy to check if she had cheated on him.
Gong Mochen and mou ran retreated. He understood what Qin Sheng meant.
"Qin Yunting framed you and then posted it on the school's Wechat? "
"Yes, I really didn't! " Qin Sheng said.
"I didn't frame Qin Sheng. Yan Fei and I saw her buying a pregnancy test kit. She came out of the bathroom and there was this pregnancy test kit in the trash can, " Qin Yunting said quickly.
"Yes, I can testify! " Yan Fei also said.
Today, they were going to confirm that Qin Sheng was a b * Tch. A female student was pregnant during school. It was a scandal that spread like wildfire. They wanted to destroy Qin Sheng's reputation. Neither Li Ang nor ha Siqi could marry such a woman!
Qin Sheng's eyes turned. "cousin, you think I'm pregnant, right? "
"OF COURSE! " Qin Yunting was absolutely confident.
"What if I'm not pregnant? What are you going to do? Do you dare to stand at the school gate with my b * Tch Sign until everyone is out of school? " Qin Sheng shouted.
"So you don't have one? Humph, if you really don't have one, I'll stand with Yan Fei! " Qin Yunting was not stupid. She wanted to drag herself down with her.
"Of course, it's not up to me. But there's a legend about pregnancy test sticks in this world. Please help me buy some. " Qin Sheng smiled at the crowd that surrounded them.
Soon, some students agreed to go and buy them. Everyone wanted to know if it was a trap or not.
Qin Sheng even asked a few people to accompany her to the bathroom for a test. When she took out more than ten pregnancy tests, all of them were red lines.
"Sure enough, Qin Sheng was framed! "
"How despicable, she actually framed Qin Sheng! is she still a cousin? "
Many students were discussing.
Qin Yunting and Yan Fei were instantly dumbfounded. What was going on?
They only felt that their brain capacity was insufficient.
Gong mochen hugged Qin Sheng in his arms. "How do you want to deal with them? Uncle will listen to you! Do you want to expel them? "
Qin Yunting and Yan Fei were shocked. If they were to expel them at this time, they wouldn't even be able to participate in the college entrance examination.
Everyone looked at Qin Sheng, not knowing what she wanted to do.
"uncle, there's no need to expel them. Just let them do as I said. I'll see who will believe what they say in the future! " Qin Sheng said.
"Okay, I'll listen to you. Nie Feng, Go get the cardboard and let Qin Yunting and Yan Fei hold it at the school gate! " Gong Mochen ordered.
Qin Yunting and Yan Fei were too embarrassed to raise their heads. The words on the paper were too insulting. They had lost all their face!
Qin Sheng stood at the window upstairs and looked down. She leaned against the man's firm chest. It felt great. But how was Chuxia now?
She looked at the West Bank cafe at the school gate.
Chuxia didn't dare to drink coffee in the cafe. She ordered a cup of lemonade and drank it slowly. Her palms were so nervous that they were covered in cold sweat.
Mou Ran, she saw the handsome Sikong jue walk in from the gate... ...

"Uncle, I was punished for being late! " "Buy the school. "
"Uncle, I was bullied! " "SEND THEM TO HEAVEN! "
In this era of competing for fathers, Qin Sheng never competed for fathers. Those things were too extravagant. She didn't have them, she only competed for uncles!
Ever since she had a rich uncle, she lived a life of fighting and being cleaned up by others, causing trouble and being scapegoated by others.
Her three big goals in life were to make him fall in love with her, fall in love with her, fall in love with her!

So this is a story I wrote based on a song that I like, Ghosting by Mother Mother from their album O My Heart. I'll write more song based stories to, you can suggest different songs for me to write about or I'll just do my own things. It doesn't matter too much, this might just turn into a writing dump of sorts. Anyway, enjoy!

Jeremy had been watching Alex ever since he had died. He was completely infatuated by Alex and everything Alex did. He would follow Alex almost everywhere the boy went, except of course when Alex was using the bathroom. Jeremy may be a ghost, but he wasn't a perve. Although, it didn't matter much anyway because Alex couldn't see Jeremy. 
When Jeremy had died and first found Alex he would try to get the boy to see him. Jeremy would write his name on fogged over windows and on Alex's notebooks. Of course, Alex still couldn't see Jeremy, despite all of his attempts. One night Jeremy had gotten angry at Alex and he knocked the books off of Alex's book shelves, broke the lamp on Alex's nightstand, ripped the pages out of his notebooks, and pushed his mattress off of its frame. Jeremy could still remember the fear in Alex's eyes once he had destroyed his room. After that Jeremy stopped trying to get Alex to see him and instead just watched Alex.
Their day had started off fairly normal, Jeremy sat in Alex's desk chair and watched him sluggishly get out of bed. When Alex began changing his clothes, Jeremy turned the chair around to face away from him, startling Alex in the process. Jeremy cringed at Alex's gasp and the bump of Alex's phone falling from his nightstand to the floor. This happened all the time and Jeremy scolded himself every time it did but he still managed to scare Alex.
Alex sighed and grumbled under his breath, pulling his pants the rest of the way up and walking out of his bedroom to the bathroom. Jeremy stood up from the chair and followed Alex as usual. Alex did his usual routine of combing his hair and brushing his teeth. Jeremy absentmindedly drew his name on the mirror. Alex's eyes widened at the sight of Jeremy's name and he quickly wiped the water off of the mirror and walked out of the bathroom.
Alex walked downstairs with Jeremy not far behind and grabbed a bowl of cereal. Alex's mom smiled at him while she set a bowl of Cheerios in front of Alex's baby sister.
"Alex sweetie, tomorrow can you hand out the candy? Your father and I are taking Ellie around the neighborhood," she asked the question in a way that clearly meant that Alex didn't have a choice.
Alex sighed, "Sure."
"She's only taking Ellie out to use her for candy," Jeremy spoke even though Alex couldn't hear him. He sat in front of Alex on the table. When Alex went to get another bite of cereal he shivered as his arm just went through Jeremy's knee.
Alex put the spoon down and went to grab his backpack.
"I'm going to school Mom!" Alex called out before walking out the door.
Jeremy looked back at the still half full bowl of cereal before floating after him. "You didn't finish your breakfast you know," Jeremy looked to Alex who he was now floating beside, "you should have though. You need to eat more."
"Shut up."
Jeremy stopped in his tracks, his eyes wide. He then ran after Alex, forgetting that he could float.
"You can hear me! Holy- is this even real! Can you really hear me? Why haven't you ever respond-"
"I said shut up!" Alex yelled in Jeremy's general direction, but it was clear that he was looking straight through him. "I'm tired of hearing you everywhere I go! I'm tired of you following me! It wasn't on purpose Jeremy, I'm sorry, ok?  Just leave me alone!" Alex began running to his school with tears in his eyes, running straight through Jeremy in the process and leaving Jeremy stunned. 
He stood still for a few seconds until a couple of what Jeremy recognized as Alex's classmates walked through him, whispering about how worried they were for Alex. Jeremy took a few more seconds of standing in the street before flying after Alex.

The first half of the day was fairly normal. Jeremy followed Alex around in the classrooms, sitting in empty seats and listening to the lessons. He didn't talk to Alex, though. Instead he was completely silent. He was confused, how did Alex know him? Well, besides writing his name on everything, of course.
When the bell rang for the end of fourth period the teacher walked up to Alex before he could leave. He handed Alex a note and said, "The principal wants to see you."
Alex sighed and grabbed the note before sauntering out of the room and down to the second floor with Jeremy not far behind.
The principal's office was fairly bare, except for the far wall with framed childrens pictures. Alex immediately recognized the pictures, having known some of the children himself. They were pictures of students who had died over the years, the principal put them up with their date of death on the bottom left corner of the photos. Alex refused to look at the newest addition to the wall, but Jeremy stared at it. The boy had curly red hair, freckles speckled all over his face and shoulders, and nose that looked way to big on his face. The boy looked familiar, but Jeremy couldn't place his finger on where he had seen the boy before.
Jeremy turned away from the photo and sat in the large chair Alex was sitting in, his knee phasing throw Alex's. He looked over to Alex and he was shocked by the cold, dead expression on his face.
The principal gulped. "Alex, do you know why you are here today?" Alex shook his head. "Well, so of your classmates were showing some concern about an uh, outbreak you had before school started today." The principal waited for a response from Alex and continued when he got none, "They said you were yelling at nothing. They said you had mentioned Jeremy-"
"You don't know jack about Jeremy!" Alex jumped to his feet and slammed his hands down on the principal's desk with such force and rage that a stapler and pencil sharpener fell off of the desk. "None of you even knew Jeremy! You're just using his death for publici-"
"Mr. Ronbach sit down!" the principal shouted. Jeremy brought his knees to his chest as Alex slowly sat back down. The principal cleared his throat and straightened his tie. "Now I know you and Jeremy were… Close."
Alex glared, "He was my boyfriend. Are you to homophobic to even acknowledge that not all of your beloved students are straight?" His words were full of venom that Jeremy had never heard before. Jeremy crawled over to Alex and sat through his lap, holding up his arms to hug Alex and trying not to let his phase through him.
The principal narrowed his eyes. "That was uncalled for." He sighed and paused for a moment. "Your teachers and I think it would be good for you to have a break from school. You are clearly to grief ridden to be able to study effectively. So, we have issued a temporary suspension, starting today, to get yourself together. Your assignments and homework will be emailed to you. Please get those done before the suspension ends so you will be caught up when you get back. I have already called your mother, so you should pack your things and get ready to leave."
Alex stared wide eyed at the principal. "I'm sorry," Jeremy whispered in his ear.

The car ride to Alex's house was silent and tense. Alex's mother didn't speak to him until they got inside.
"Sweetie, if you need to talk about anything tell me, ok?"
"Whatever Mom," Alex's voice was cold and hard. 
He walked up stairs and into his room. He fell on his bed and curled up into a ball. Jeremy laid down on the bed next to him and watched as tears began forming in Alex's eyes.
"Jeremy," Alex croaked, "Jeremy I'm so sorry. It's, it's all my fault you died. J-Jeremy…"
Jeremy felt an overwhelming urge to comfort the crying boy, and he moved closer to him until their foreheads were almost touching. "Shhh, it's going to be ok, you're going to be ok."
"N-no I'm not! I'm so sorry I didn't do anything to help-"
"It's not your fault," Jeremy tried to wipe a tear off of Alex's cheek, but he could only move it a little bit further down his face. Jeremy didn't completely understand what Alex was talking about, but he knew that whatever happened couldn't have been Alex's fault.
For another hour Alex repeating 'I'm sorry' while Jeremy whispered to him and eventually Alex fell asleep. Jeremy closed his eyes and moved his head towards Alex's, but when his forehead phased through Alex's all he could see was white.

Jeremy blinked a few times and turned in a circle. He was standing in a seemingly never ending room of white with a little black speck in the distance. Jeremy hesitantly walked towards it before breaking into a sprint. The black spot slowly grew larger, and as Jeremy got closer to it he heard loud sobs that continued to get louder. Soon his surroundings turned gray and cracks started forming around him. The sobs were now so loud that Jeremy's ears were ringing.
"Alex! Alex where are you?" Jeremy could barely hear his own voice over the whimpers that he knew belonged to Alex.
"GO AWAY!!" the booming voice knocked Jeremy to the ground. It didn't hurt as much physically as it didn't mentally, Alex's voice echoed through his mind and he knew Alex was hurting and it made his heart hurt.
"Alex! Alex listen to me! I'm not going to hurt you! I don't really know what's going on but we can figure this out! Please just, please let me help you!" He got to his feet tears draping his cheeks.
Alex's sobs turned into whimpers and Jeremy could finally start to make out which direction they were coming from. He walked towards the sounds carefully to be sure he wouldn't stumbleupon Alex and scare him. Soon the noises stopped all together. Jeremy could only keep walking in the same direction.
After what felt like forever Jeremy stopped in front of a door attached to nothing. It was black near the bottom and it faded to a dark purple near the top and white dots peppered the scene. It seemed familiar to Jeremy. Water seeped out from the bottom of the door and got Jeremy's feet wet. He reached his hand out and knocked on the door.
"Alex? I'm coming in, is that ok?" Jeremy waited for a response and when he got none he opened the door. He was greeted with a soft warm glow. He stepped into the room and closed the door behind him, watching the floor that was covered in water. Fish were swimming around his feet, almost as if they were excited puppies welcoming their owner home.
He looked up for the first time to examine the room. The ceiling was slanted and covered in posters and hanging light bulbs. The walls of room had paintings of galaxies and maps for worlds that only existed in his dreams. The stars seemed to pulse in time with his shallow breaths. There was a desk tucked neatly into the corner of the room and on it were pictures of Alex and the red haired boy from the principal's office. There was a laptop left open on the desk with what seemed to be an album cover on the screen with a big play button on the screen. Even though the track was paused the memory of light acoustic guitars and drums wrapped around his body. In the middle of the back wall was a window that was covered by a Celtic tapestry that blew gently in the nonexistent wind. Under the window was a bed covered with a comforter and pillows that had blue, black, and purple galaxies. Curled up on the bed was Alex's shaking form with a trail of water leading from his face over the bed and to the floor.
Jeremy walked towards Alex, his feet gliding through the water as if it wasn't even there. He gently placed his hand on Alex's shoulder and after a small flinch, Alex melted into his touch.
"Alex?"
"What?"
Jeremy hesitated and looked back at the picture on the desk. "This is my room, isn't it?"
Alex choked out a laugh, "Yeah, it is." He turned over to look at Jeremy. "It's your room but I felt way more at home here than I ever did with Mom."
Jeremy sat down on the bed next to Alex's head and, like he had done many times before, Alex laid his head on Jeremy's lap, looking at the picture on the walls. Jeremy ran his fingers through Alex's hair and Alex sighed happily with tears threatening to sting his cheeks again.
"You used to sneak me out of my room at night and take me here. We would talk for hours like this about anything and everything. And when you started talking about space your eye lit up and the way you spoke made it feel like we were the only two people left in the world." Alex started crying into Jeremy's knees. "You were always so beautiful. Everything about you; your laugh, your smile, your voice, your personality, your art. You always made me feel so loved, to the point that my heart ached when you weren't around. I was, am, so madly in love with you."
Jeremy climbed the rest of the way onto the bed and leaned against the wall at the edge of the bed. He pulled the crying Alex over to him and rested his head on his lap like before.
"In the spring you would take me out to the lake and you would play in the water and chase fish around like a dork," Alex was laughing now, too. "And we would camp out on the dock and when the sunset you would point out constellations to me until I fell asleep. In the summer you and I would paint the garage. We covered the walls and the garage door and each other in a jumbled mess of colors, and when I judged my work badly you'd mess up what ever you were working on and tell me that art is art. Then you would proceed to wipe your paint hands on me." 
Jeremy smiled down at Alex and absentmindedly traced his shoulders with the lightest of touches. "And in the fall we would make leaf piles in the roads and watch the cars run into them. We would ride our bikes around the streets and on halloween we would through splat balls at houses."
There was a long soothing silence between the two of them as the music played softly. 
Jeremy gulped and looked up the ceiling. "Hey Alex, why did you keep saying it's your fault I died?"
Alex was quiet for a moment. "It… it was a week before winter break and some other guys on the football team found out that we were dating. They weren't exactly the nicest to homosexual students so they started targeting you and making fun of you, but you were so sweet that you thought they were just joking around. One night you told me that you were hanging out at the dock with the team. I knew they were going to do something to you, so I went to the lake as fast as I could. They had you cornered neared the end of the dock but you didn't think anything bad was happening. I tried to get you out of there but you were confused and wanted to stay. The team repeated what you said and shoved me back, and that was when you told them that they should stop. They started pushing you back to the edge of the dock and I tried to save you but… They pushed me to the ground and you into the lake. You broke the ice and fell into the water but you couldn't climb out and you froze, then drowned."
Alex's eyes glazed over and he stared up at Jeremy. Jeremy's eyes were wide with tears. "It was my fault I'm dead. Babe it wasn't you, it was me! If I wasn't so stupid-!" Its was Jeremy's turn to cry now, he could remember all of it. He could remember Alex's sweet kisses and painting him into a masterpiece. He remembered his dreams of being an astrologist. He remember how they would cry after any fight. How happy Alex looked when confused neighbors found that what hit their windows was a ball that looked like an egg. How the ice knocked the wind out of him. The screams of his beloved as his head went under the water one last time. How his lungs froze when all he wanted was to breath.
He started to curl up and Alex sat up to guide him down to the bed. Jeremy buried his face into Alex's chest as Alex rubbed his back. They mumbled to each other for the rest of the night like 'I miss you so much' and 'I wish I could outside of here' until Alex woke up.

Alex Ronbach was an average boy. He had a boyfriend for seven years, five of those in which his boyfriend was dead, until one day in college he found a boy that had a lot of the same interests. As Alex got closer to the boy, his boyfriend got more distant. Though the break up wasn't official, Alex's boyfriend stopped speaking to him for the next 17 years.
Alex did not enter a relationship in all that time, waiting for the ghost boys return. He even pursued a career in art to paint pictures to bring the ghost back. He would talk to himself in hopes the ghost was listening.
One day there was an accident, and when Alex woke up, the ghost boy was there. They could finally kiss each other like they had wanted to for the past 22 years.
