Noah takes the painting and place it on the easel then he grab my hand and take a deep breath. 

"I don't know how to describe everything but I'll just show you, ok?" 

"Ok. . " 

He touch the canvas and step into the painting. That's something that I've never seen before. I hold his hand tightly and step into the painting. We stand inside a room with a single painting on the wall. I look around, everything looks real. I touch the wall and I can feel that it's a real wall, a solid wall then I try to jump several times to make sure the floor is not fake and it's real. I never knew that there's a dimension beyond a painting and this is my first time entering the space.  

"Where are we?" 

Noah is walking to the corner of the room and take the package that he threw then he walks back to me. 

"We are in the other side of the painting. This one is called the 'Qiophaire' dimension."

"Qioph- what?" 

"Qiophaire. It's the name of the dimension. If you look around, there is no door or window. It's just a room with a single painting on the wall." 

"Why?" 

"Because I create every details in the room. It was an empty space before but I have the power to make a new place inside the dimension." 

"And how do we get out from here?" 

"That painting on the wall is our way out." 

I walk closer to the painting on the wall and realize that it's a painting of the art room in the university. Everything doesn't make sense. It's not real. Maybe I'm still sleeping and I'm having a dream about going to a dimension through a portal and the portal is a painting on a canvas. It's time to back to reality so I close my eyes then I pinch my arms to wake me up.

"Wake up, Sera. Wake up." 

I open my eyes and I can see Noah standing in front of me, looking at me with a puzzled look. 

"What?" 

"It's real, Sera. You're not dreaming and you are 100% conscious." 

"No, no, no. You're joking. Maybe you're a fake too, I'm in my dream, everything is not real." 

Noah pulls my body closer to him and he lands a kiss on my lips. I push him away and step back immediately. 

"What was that for?" 

"I need to prove it to you that it's real."

There must be a scientific explanation about this then I will believe it. I walk to the painting and try to touch the canvas and nothing happens.

"Get me out of here." 

Noah throw the box away then he grabs my hand, touch the canvas and step out the painting with me. Once I'm back at the art room, I run out of the art room and rush to the women's bathroom. I wash my face and try to understand the reality. I take my phone and look for any information about dimension beyond a painting and there is only one website that explain about another dimension but it's not a dimension inside a painting. I try to calm down then I leave the bathroom. 


Noah sits on the floor and he stares at the painting. How can he be that stupid to reveal his ability? Now Sera knows about the dimension inside the painting and perhaps she will stay away from him and he can't protect her anymore. Besides he did something unexpected back in the dimension which is kissing her. It's not something that he would do to make someone believe him but he just did it. His body naturally did that and now he realize that there's something wrong with him. 

"Sera. . ." 

Noah takes the painting and he stand up then leave the art room with the painting on his hand. When walks down he spot Sera near the main door of building B and she's talking to a person with yellow hair. It's Benjamin. How can he knew that Sera is here? He immediately rush to the main door and push Benjamin away. 

"Noah!" 

Sera looks surprised. Noah brings Sera to his back and try to protect her. 

"What are you doing here?" 

"I explain about the dimension to Sera since she asked me about it." 

"You ask Ben about the dimension?" 

"I did, he said that he can explain everything and help me to understand." 

"He's a liar! Let's go, Sera." 

Noah takes Sera with him back to the dorm, leaving Benjamin behind. Noah knows everything about Ben, about everything that he has done in the past, about Candace and now he's going to do the same thing to Sera. He can't let that happen to this young girl. 

"Noah!" 

". . ." 

"Noah!" 

Noah turns around and he looks at Sera, she looks in pain, perhaps he hold her hand too tight. He let her hand go and look at her. 

"I'm sorry." 

"Why did you do that to him? I only ask for an explanation." 

"Sera, listen to me. He is a liar. I told you that he's a bad person remember?"

"Yes. . " 

"Do you remember about the note that you got when we had lunch at the chinese restaurant near the supermarket?" 

"Yes." 

"It was him. He gave you the note, he's trying to harm you, Sera. Just like what he did to Candace and I don't want you to experience the same thing as Candace did." 

"Candace? Who is that?" 

"I'll tell you later." 

He takes Sera with him to his dorm and ask Sera to sit. Noah walks to his bedroom and take out a book from his bookcase then he take a photo from the book then he give Sera the photo. It's a photo of a beautiful red haired girl, she looks younger than Sera, maybe she is 18 years old and in the photo, the girl is smiling brightly. 

"Who is she?" 

"It's Candace Roseschwarz. My ex-lover, my first love and Ben's victim."

Sera-21 years old trying to live a new life in a new place but who knows there'll be lots of things that change her life since she met a young man from aircraft that will give lots of impact in her life. Noah-22 years old is a 2nd semester student who lose his ex-lover because of a person named Benjamin. Sera meet Noah and there will be a biggest problem that she will face in her life and she must do everything to make sure she will never have the same fate as Noah's ex-lover. But everything will get darker and more mysterious. Will Sera and Noah be able to get over with every challenge and problem that they will face?

We had driven to the front of the house where Tony stopped for I and Cassandra to drop off then he drove to the garage to park the car

The doors opened and Roseland walked outside and stood by the door as we made our way up the steps Cassandra pulling off the earpiece from we ears and rolling the cord around her phone.

"Good day Cassandra, Montigule... How was the session?" Roseland asked as Cassandra walked past her then paused

*sigh*
I exhaled lowering my head a bit. I was feeling irritated and easily annoyed because of what day of the week it was

"what happened to doctor and patient confidentially" I said joined by Cassandra who mocked me by saying the exact same thing smiling afterwards then continued to walk in.

"..." Roseland said nothing just watching me walk pass her and through the door.

The house was clear of staff. They usually finish up with the arrangements, house keeping, cooking and all that stuff in the morning then leave to their side of the compound, the other building behind the main home  until evening and as for the period between, anything you wanted had to be done by yourself. It was a system thought up and enforced by Roseland as a means of building independence and character.

Cassandra hopped on the first step on the staircase then turned like she was dancing and moved to the right handrail "I'm going to my room to finish with my painting"

I stopped "okay?"

Roseland closed the door behind her and walked down he steps then she left. It was a Friday and she had a date with Josh but first she needed to get some things.

To one of us Friday was a great day because it meant that they would get to hang out with the one they loved but for me it was something different and complicated. 

It was both good and bad. Good being that after the daily nightmares and screams Friday was the day they stopped and I would have a good nights sleep. Bad thing being that the moment I close my eyes to sleep I would get enveloped in darkness, no dreams, no nothing until I woke up and I would always wake up not where I slept but somewhere close to it. 

I was always concerned about my displacement and if I did something while I slumbered. Even if the nightmares were unbearable at least it meant that I wasn't going anywhere or doing anything to anybody like what happened three months ago.

The thought of everything always got me irritated and upset easily and after the day had passed the nightmares that followed also got me in a bad mood. Since I woke up from the facility I had been in a fowl mood

"so, I want you to come help me out" she insisted

*step step*
I walked over to the bottom of the stairs and held on to the left hand rail with one feet on the first step 

"why would I do that? and why today? you've never asked me to come help you with a painting before" I scrunched my forehead

*step*
we both took one step up then the next and the next in a slow pace as we talked 

"look, I'm just going to be honest with you... I pulled some strings until finally I was able to get in touch with Alexander and Guinevere Marcello who are actually cool people and the fun thing is that they are our age..." she let out a giggle as we moved higher 

"okay? what does that have to do with me?" I raised an eyebrow and tilted my head to the opposite side

"the thing is I showed them a couple of my work and they liked them but when I invited them over they hesitated and almost refused until they saw your art behind me and fell in love with it then all of a sudden they said that they would accept my invitation if I got to show them more, Soo..."

*clap*
she clapped her two hands together and netted them and raised the netted fists to her chin with a huge smile and wide eyes as she begged "please!"

"my art? what art are you talking about" I asked confused as we made it to the top of the stairs

"you know, the one you made before you snuck out that the night"

"what are you talking about. when was that?" I doubted

"a week after we got you back when your nightmares started and as a form of release I gave you some of my art supplies and insisted you use them whenever you felt stressed or couldn't sleep then the Friday of that week I went to check on how you were doing since I didn't hear any screams but you were gone. We all panicked and thought that you went missing again and to look for clues I checked your room and found a painting on the floor. I took it to my room and the next morning you were back. Everybody was so happy that I forgot about the painting until during my live call with The Marcello's where they saw it and made plans to come over during their free time which is tomorrow..."

I just stared at her blinking unable to wrap my head around what she said as I had no memories of any painting or sneaking away

"I really need you help with this so can you please just help me out?" she grabbed a hold of my hand and pulled it slightly

I didn't want to say yes but my curiosity about the mysterious painting and what it meant couldn't let me have rest of mind

*sigh*
"okay, I'll come help you" I said with a lowered head 

She pulled me until she turned around then she let go of my hand and started walking to her room. I stood for a second reconsidering but there was no going back so I followed behind her with my hands in my pocket as I walked

"where is it?" I asked immediately I entered into the room.

There were paint everywhere. She had covered the area she was painting with plastic to prevent stains. On the floor next to the canvas were many scrunched up paintings and empty paint cans.

She walked over to her table and carried a small painted canvas and brought it to me and handed it over. I stared at this beautiful and raw painting which screamed of chaos for minutes on minutes but I couldn't remember painting it or anything she said earlier 

"so you are saying that I painted this?"

"I know right, hard to believe with how lacking your skills were before you went missing... maybe an advance civilization of painting aliens abducted you and downloaded their skills into your brain" she joked as she pulled the painting out of my hand and took it back to the table.

"alright, like promised I show you the painting then in return you help me make a masterpiece but bigger in scale this time" she said

*FWOOSH*
She flung the paint brush under my nose and some paint flew off and splattered on my cheek which cause me fidget and tighten up my neck muscles because of the shock 

I took a deep breath and released it. I raised my lower arm and took a hold of the brush by the neck then she released her grip of it and gave way for me to the canvas .

I walked over slowly and sat on the stool then I held the brush properly and pressed it against the empty canvas and for three whole minutes I sat frozen with no idea on how to start or what to paint

"I can't do this" I said throwing the brush to the floor and standing up from the stool.

She raised her lower arms and spread wide her palms while rapidly moving her head from left to right "what? what? what do you mean?"

I kicked the stool behind me knocking it over "exactly what I meant, I can't do this!" I said as I walked past her heading to the door

she grabbed my hand stopping me " what do you mean you can't do this? you've done it before haven't you? that's you painting isn't it?" she said painting at the painting on the table

"I don't know who made that but that wasn't me... maybe one of the staff did it so why don't you ask them to paint you your masterpiece and leave me the fuck alone" I pulled my hand free and walked out the door

*STOMP*
I stomped my feet to my room then I slammed the door shut behind me. The closer the time got to evening the easily angry and irritated I got. I got so angry that screamed and punched into the wall which my hand broke through the cement block and the pieces fell to the floor.

in the normal sense and if for a normal person Sylvia would have recorded a damage done to their hand as well but in my case the only damage done was to the wall

*sigh*
I took a deep breath in and release it and regained my calm.

I dusted the cement particles from my fists while walking to the bathroom where I bent over and turned on the tap then used the water from the sink to pour on my face and after cooling myself off I reached to the light and grabbed the towel from the door and dried my face with it.

I stood up straight looking at myself in the mirror and drying my hands with the towel. My pale coloured hair which was very different in shade from Cassandra's. My dark skin which had some cracks on it usual to how they get on Fridays.

My reflection in the mirror got me uncomfortable as the feeling of not belonging to my body enveloped my thoughts and as it continued an idea grew in my mind to use the Logs on myself

'ENGAGE" I thought and my log popped up next to my image in the mirror

LUCAS POV.
My flight landed earlier than expected, so I had some time to loiter around. New York is filled with food stalls so I decided I grab a bite at the pretzel stall. I didn't have my luggage on me as I sent it home with my driver when he came to pick me up at the airport.

We didn't sell our house in New York after we moved, the reason for it was me, my parents thought it'd be better for me to stay at our own house instead of a hotel as I keep traveling to New York for my exhibitions. My parents have a lot of homes all around the world which makes it pretty convenient for me.
I wonder where my soulmate lives, New York or Seoul ? Or maybe somewhere else? 

After an hour or so, I return to my house and take a nap as later I've to visit the exhibition and check out the venue and all that boring stuff.
I have 3 exhibitions in this one month in New York, one in 3 days, one in 15 days and one in 20 days, which worry me as I'm supposed to meet my soulmate in 20 days. 
20days 8hours 37minutes 23seconds.
I hope me and my soulmate are able to meet without any problems, we cannot contact each other by communicating through our skin nor we can try too hard and be desperate to meet our soulmate, if we do, we will never see them in our lives. We have to go on with our lives normally and not adjust anything accordingly. 

If I'm supposed to meet my soulmate on the day of my art exhibitions is it possible my soulmate will visit my art exhibition? Perhaps she knows me and appreciates the same kind of art? Well, if she is then I'm kinda excited cause then I'd have something to talk to her about.

The reason I'm famous in the art world so young is my family and the Internet. I've been blessed enough to have a well to do family and for my fans online where I started to post little canvas paintings impersonating Vincent Van Gogh's famous pieces in the beginning, sure I did many others too but these were appreciated the most.
Slowly I started to come up with my own paintings which people appreciated equally. I'm still studying though, education is a must but I'm earning pretty well so I don't worry too much. 

After I'm back from the exhibition, it's already pretty late but I don't feel very sleepy so I decide to go for a walk and paint the stars, they look extraordinarily pretty tonight.
I take my motorbike to a cliff nearby and set up all my stuff, while I do so my stomach grumbles, I realise that all I ate today was a small pretzel, so I leave my easel there and get on my bike and visit a pizza shop, Henry's pizza. I've been eating this pizza since I was a kid. The old man knows me pretty well as I spoke about him in an interview when asked what did I ate during I painted and how am I still so fit, because many times artists forget to eat or eat too much. All I ate was cheese pizza. 

As I step in, I notice the crowd but I make my way to stand in line to place my order, and finally.
"One large cheese, please."
As I was done giving my order and stepped aside to wait a heavy hand landed on my shoulder, I turned around to look and the hands belonged to Henry! I was so happy to see him after so many years. 
"Hello young man, long time no see!" Henry exclaimed. 
"Yes sir, sure been a long time, how you been doing"
"Ah just getting old, my boy." He says sadly.
"You still look pretty young sir so certainly old age has no effect on you" 
He laughs and pats my shoulder a couple times.
"Order for 1 cheese" the staff over the counter yells.
"Oh that's me, excuse me for a second sir" 
As I remove my wallet to pay, Henry approaches and pushes my wallet away and says "No son, this ones on the house, as a thank you for bringing success to my little shop" "oh thank you sir and you very well deserve it" 
I thank him again for the free pizza and bid goodbye.

I return to my canvas and start to paint while I eat the wonderful free pizza. I then think of my soulmate, would he or she let me paint them? Would they like it? My soulmate would be absolutely gorgeous and I would definitely paint them. After a rough, casual paining of the night sky I return home and lay on my bed. Sometime our soulmates mood affects our mood, my mood never really changed suddenly so I guess my soulmate is a pretty calm person. I hope they're excited to meet me. I know I am.

LUCY POV.
I woke up at about 8am by a text from my best friend, Mia. She already found her soulmate, Milo. They were going for a vacation to Hawaii, which they invited me to but I declined as I have no interest in third wheeling a new couple.

"Hey lus, wake up I'm about to leave for the airport in a bit"

"So? What should I do with that information from down the alley."

"So! Come over so that you miss me when I'm gone."

"Mia, it's 8am, I slept late last night as I had to practice, have a safe flight, text me when you land, love you loads."

"No, wake up and come over" 

I leave her on read and go back to the comforts of my bed. After about 20 mins, the door bell rings. I have to go get it as my parents are in a hotel for a month for an art exhibition by a nerd named Noah Heavens. I'll go accompany them on the last exhibitions which is in 20 days. I'm gonna meet my soulmate in 20 days. I hope that doesn't get messed up. 
I groan and walk towards the door and it's a screaming Mia, she just won't leave me alone will she? She came in with her luggage which was one suitcase and backpack, I'm pretty proud of her cause I expected 5 suitcases and 5 backpacks.
"Is this all your luggage for the week?" I inquire.
"Yes, so less right! But milo convinced me to take just one bag as we could buy stuff there" 
"Uh huh, makes sense"
"Milo is gonna come pick me up so I came here to wait, anyways, how is your cello practice going" she asked
"Well, it's good but I'm kinda bummed you won't be there."  "Don't let that affect you, I'll be watching you live so don't worry"

Mia always attended all of my performances and this will be one of the first performances in which she won't attend and I'm kinda a bit sad about that. Mia is always the first one to start to clap when I'm done and I've always seen her jumping and hyping me up. I have a lot of fans from all age groups but I think Mia is my biggest fan and I appreciate it, she even gives me her honest opinion on my music, if something sounds odd she lets me know.

A few minutes later I hear a car pull into the driveway, after a minute the door bell rings and it's milo, her face lights up and gives him a quick kiss, at which I cringe. 
"Hey Lucy, how you been?"
"Better milo, thanks." I reply
"Cmon babe, we need to leave to check in for the flight" "Oh alright let me say bye"
 Mia gives me a hug, telling me to take care of myself and eat on time and to call and text her everyday. Everything at which I just nod to. Such a Mom.

By the time we're done saying goodbyes, Milo has already taken Mia's bag and popped it into the trunk, Mia gets into the car and they drive off while waving bye to me. 
I wave back till they're out of sight and go inside the house to my bathroom for a shower, after I was done I ate breakfast which my cook prepared while I showered. I ask her to join me and she denies at first but I insist and serve her a plate which makes her sit with me. After I was done I went to practice for my performance later in the week. 
Does my soulmate enjoy classical music ? Would he or she listen to my music and enjoy it? I hope so or it would get really awkward.

Switching on the lights to the studio, the space seems emptier than usual even though everything was where they had last seen it. In the center of the room, a white cloth covered a large canvas that took up a third of the width of this room.
Bryan reached out and gave the cloth a small tug. A beautiful meadow with chromatic colors entered their sight. The back view of a young lady could be seen with one hand brushing through the flowers on the side. Meanwhile, her other arm reached towards the audience as if she was pulling the audience in for an adventure. 
Even though the girl's hair looked slightly disheveled by the breeze, the coziness in the painting would make one smile to it. The neutral and warm tones she used perfectly captured an emotional moment. It was a stress free and carefree type of energy that encourages the audience positively. 
"She's always like this. No matter where or when, she never fails to surprise me with her art. I've always wished to see what she sees with those eyes. The colors she uses somehow comes alive and flows the way she wishes. To me, the dull colors just look like regular colors on a palette. But somehow, this girl makes butterflies come alive with her brush." The tips of his finger brushed against the soft texture of the painting as his nose began to sting.
"You're right. Her smile is the warmest and truest I've ever seen. Ever since I met you guys, I've gone on such adventurous roads. Even though many things have changed over these years, her smile still stayed as innocent. I swore to myself I would protect her smile. But I failed." Regret filled the gaps of his words as he sighed.
With tears blocking their vision, they let out a sighing laugh. It was soft enough to be missed. "I'll go to the convenience store and get some drinks." Alfred turned away and exited the studio. He knew Bryan needed more time alone. Though they were her brothers, Bryan was closer to her. The burning pain in Bryan's chest would not be any less than what he was feeling now.
Bringing back canned beers, Alfred noticed the similar puffiness on Bryan's eyes. In front of the painting, Alfred smiled and showed bags of Selina's favorite snacks. He also bought her favorite fruit juice and placed it in front of the painting. 
Clanging their canned beers against her fruit juice, Bryan and Alfred emptied out the liquid in one go. 
"Alfred, I've never spoken about my family other than Selina. But today, I really want to lighten the weight on my shoulders. As her brother, I've failed to protect her from hurting. Don't look at her smiling every time she meets you, deep down she's hurting on her own." Bryan bent his right knee upwards and leaned his chin on it.
Narrowing his eyes with visible tears in it, Bryan forced a bitter smile. Chugging another can of beer down his system, he began sniffling. "Growing up, she worked her hardest to get first place in exams and honors roll. Every time she received an award; she would only see me in the audience waving at her. Each time I complimented her; her eyes would wander behind me."
He took small pauses between his sentences; calming his voice from break point. 
"My heart aches for her every time I see her smiling at me because I knew she wanted to see my mother. When she received her scholarships, honors and many first times. Never have my mother once attended the ceremonies nor gave her a compliment. When we were young, I happened to see my mom shoving her aside just because Selina wanted a hug."
"I've seen and heard her cry alone. Since then, I told myself it's alright if my mother is mean to her as long as I'm there for her. No matter how busy I was, I wouldn't miss any events at her school. It's alright that my mother wasn't there for her. I'll bring her favorite sweets and flowers to her. What others have and she doesn't, I'll make up for it a different way."
"Just like this, years went by. Whenever I'm around, my mother wouldn't say nor do much to her. But I'm not sure if she does anything to Selina behind my back and recently...I'm having doubts about her death. Was it just Peter Sin's fault? But knowing her, she wouldn't hurt herself from just him. But what if..what if.."
His words halted at the top of his throat and swallowed back down. Alfred stared at the painting in front and took two mouthfuls of beer. Turning towards Bryan, he opened his mouth to break his promise. "Sorry, Selina. I need to tell your brother this even though I've promised not to tell."
"What?"
Taking a deep breath, Alfred took a long glance at the painting before shifting his attention back on Bryan.
"I wasn't planning on ever telling you about this, but I now have a reason to. You mentioned your mother mistreating Selina. Actually, I kind of guessed it and known for a while now. While you were gone for two years, Selina would come to her studio often. Most of the time, she looked upset about something."
"Whenever I asked her, she would change the topic or avoid telling me about it. Then...there was a time when I left something important and came back to take it. I saw a ripped canvas and Selina sobbing on top of it. She painfully asked why it was difficult to give a gift or something. This was one incident."
He sighed heavily as he lifted his head to face Bryan. "There was another time where she locked herself in the bathroom and cried to herself. I was knocking and trying to get her out of there. S...She attempted to cut herself, but I barged in right on time to stop her. I remember hugging her for hours before she stopped crying. She mentioned your mother, but not what happened specifically."
"After that incident, I kept an eye on her at all times to make sure she was alright. She made me promise her to not tell you because she didn't want to worry you. Since she seemed fine and was smiling again, I also started forgetting about it. I didn't expect to come back this time...to her..."
Alfred crushed the empty can and tossed it aside as he wiped his mouth. "Anyways, I don't think she will jump down from a break up. Something must have happened between the time she got home to when she jumped. I am leaning more towards your mother having done something. Instinctively, I think your mother is pretty suspicious.

"If you don't believe me, then follow the family rules." Her eyes closed as she faced her fiancé's accusations and distrust. She inwardly convinced herself. 'This is the last time I'm giving my heart to you, Peter. If you choose her, then we are over.' 

With a blade in his hand, he charged forward. He watched as the sharp tip of the weapon meets her soft, porcelain chest. Shocked by her unmoving body, he pulled the blade away from the broken skin. Her white top was dyed scarlet while the blade had already dropped to the floor, making a "clang" sound.

"Why didn't you dodge?!" Peter Sin attempted few steps forward to apply pressure on her wound. It hurt, but she held in her cries. Blood squirted to his sleeve and shirt when he forced the blade out of her wound. Holding the bloody mess near her heart, a broken smile cracked on her face as she retreated away from the man in front of her.

"At the end, you still chose her words over mine. You've never believed in me, but it doesn't matter anymore. Let's break up. Even if we pass by each other in the future, we'll be nothing but strangers." 

He tried approaching her again, but failed as she strode backwards in larger steps than before. "Mister Sin, goodbye."

"Selina!" He screamed, but held back from chasing after her lonesome figure. His heart was a mess as he fell onto the ground and stared at the blood stain on his clothes.

Selina Gu drove straight home where she had prepared herself to announce her failed engagement to her mother, Katrina Gu. Pressing her wound, she slowly leaned against the wall to bring herself to the living room where her mom's voice echoed loudly. 

Selina: "So, all my life..I've been nothing but a chess piece. Are you done with your game?"

Katrina: "...Daughter."

Selina: "Daughter? Do you know how many years and efforts I've wanted to hear you call me daughter? But all this is fake. Just an act. I've always convinced myself I'm the one who could do better because I wanted to hear a compliment from you. But you? You've forced me to the edge and suffocated me!"

Katrina: "It's mother's fault! Don't jump. I'm begging you!"

Bryan (Selina's brother): "Did you get bullied? Brother will protect you. Please, come back down! It's dangerous to stand at the edge! You don't know how to swim!"

"I don't want to play this game anymore. I'm tired of my life. Didn't you want revenge? I'll complete it for you. Sorry, brother." Selina fell forward with her eyes closed. She didn't struggle as she desired to forget everything.

Assistant: "Mister Hui, after multiple investigations, we have confirmed that the girl you have been searching for is Selina Gu."

Awakening from her coma after a month later, Selina woke up hearing a familiar voice by her side. Although she couldn't recognize him, her instincts told her he wasn't going to harm her.
"Selina! You're awake!" Jason Hui tossed his laptop to the table, ditching the video meeting he was in and hugged her.

"Does it hurt anywhere? Are you thirsty? Hungry? I'll go get a doctor!" He spat out countless questions, confusing her greatly.

Jason held her hands, "It's okay if you don't remember me. As long as I remember our promise, that's all it matters. I won't let anyone hurt you anymore."

"Wife, if you're not happy about something you just have to say it. No need to shout. You'll get a sore throat."

Selina pointed to the rubber band on the counter, "I forgot to tie my hair, but my hands are dirty from marinating meat. Do you know how to tie girl's hair?"

A minute later, a messy ponytail was created and Selina looked at him with a speechless expression. Noting to himself on his calendar, he typed, "Learn how to do wife's hair."

Sometimes, life gives him existential crises. Other times, it drowns him in paint and toxic fumes only for him to wake up in a hospital of a fictional world. Then he realizes he'd somehow hijacked the body of a canon character who got killed by Sakura and shit just got real. All he wanted to do was finish the final project of his art major. Sasori did not sign up for this insanity.

Chapter 1

I own my idea, not Naruto.

He supposes that there were better ways to go, because honestly, how many people would die via drowning in paint?
Apparently, he does.
In his defense, he was extremely sleep deprived and procrastinating heavily on an art project that he needed to turn in the very next day. This project also coincidentally had his entire art major hinging off of it.
It was also three in the morning.
There was never a time that he cursed his fatal procrastination issues. Especially since his procrastination issues turned out to be literally fatal.
Funny how that worked out, huh?
The combination of toxic fumes from the various open paint cans and him being literally dead on his feet caused him to pass out into one of those various cans of paint he had lying next to the canvas. That was apparently enough to kill him. Well, he's assuming that he's dead since the last thing he remembers is the paint filling his screaming lungs. He feels that his chances of survival from that incident are pretty low. It's not as if anyone will check on him for the next few hours.
Now, all he can see is….blaring orange? What?
His knee jerk reaction is to move and open his eyes, to his overwhelming surprise, he's capable of doing both.
'I thought I was dead? Well, hey, I'm not going to complain. Now all I need to do is just convince the hospital staff to let me leave so I can finish my—'
"He's awake!"
He jerks his head towards the sudden sound, concern blossoming immediately because the person who spoke looks like they walked straight out of some sort of live action version of Naruto.
The Suna hitai ate kinda gave it away. He's got to give them credit though, the costume is really well done and the scars even look real—Oh dear God, they are real. Well, they must be extremely dedicated? He just wants to know why they're in the same room as him and where the nurses are so he can check out.
Or he's delusional.
Yeah, that sounds about right, he's still high off of the fumes.
"Sasori?"
The new voice caused him to turn away from the eccentric "actor" only for him to be faced with someone he could only call the living clone of Chiyo.
'Wow, I want to see this movie when it comes out, they have really good actors. Kudos to the director. That and it's high time I got back to binge-watching Naruto...just...after I finish my project.'
Seeing that the situation is getting interesting he decides to wait, he has a viable excuse for turning in his project late...the professor likes him, that should count for something, right? Right?! He really hopes that he doesn't have to retake the entire course, that would suck. Big time.
Four years down the drain.
Besides, she said Sasori and he wants to see what the actor for them looks like.
"Sasori, are you alright?"
Suddenly, the situation doesn't seem so amusing anymore, because the Chiyo look-alike is looking directly at him when she said that.
For the first time since he woke up, he realizes that something is horribly, horribly wrong. The fuzziness in his head clears as panic and adrenaline sets in because something isn't right and it's him. Looking down, he sees small childish fingers clutching the hospital issued blankets tight enough for the knuckles to turn white. These are not his fingers, these are not the fingers of an art major college student. His hands are supposed to be calloused, slightly cracked, his nails are supposed to be chipped from the pottery wheel—where are the paint stains? His hands for the past two years had been permanently stained with paint.
His beloved paint, what about his paintings?
Calm down. Stop. Hyperventilating.
Breathe in.
Out.
In.
Hold.
Count to ten.
Exhale.
Wait, that's not right...no, don't think about that.
He focuses on his breathing, vaguely aware that the Chiyo actress rushes toward him in alarm while the other actor in the room hurries out of the room calling for a nurse.
Finally unable to take it anymore, he pushes his way out of the unwanted embrace, stumbling onto the cold sterile floors.
Oh, the pattern is nice, it's a variation of windmill combined with a basket weave.
He barely registers that he doesn't have any shoes on, just that he is much, much shorter than he is supposed to be.
Somehow, he manages to choke his next words out, voice soft and small and—and so very alien,
"Ba-bathroom?"
Chiyo's—he realizes that this is no longer a show, but if he is right then-then he's...he doesn't want to finish that thought—concern lessens somewhat as she gets off of the hospital bed, gesturing for him to follow.
He follows her, ignoring her concerned glances back at him
They reach the bathroom without much fanfare, he goes in, opening the door mind still in an uproar. Seeing the mirror hanging above a sink, he makes a beeline for it.
Gazing back at him are hazel eyes, messy red hair, and a face that is most certainly not his. He used to be one of those people whose face no one ever remembers, average and plain.
But this one, this one certainly won the genetic lottery because there is no way eyes are supposed to be able to be that large, nevermind that they're half closed.
Huh, how large can they get if he opens them all the way?
Ooooh, bad idea, he looks unhinged.
Slapping his cheeks in an attempt to snap himself out of his tangent, he breathes out a sigh.
'I am so, so dead.'
Because if he's right—he's pretty sure he's right—then he somehow became an anime character of all things and one that gets killed off to boot. Even if he does get killed off somewhere in his midlife crisis, there is no way the 'Must-become-a-puppet-because-dear-lord-my-face-just-spawned-a-wrinkle' phase is not a mid-life crisis.
'Am I dissing myself? Wait, technically we are different people right? Canon? Oh no, CANON!'
He's coping surprisingly well, the new chibi face might have something to do with it.
'But I don't wanna die again, besides, stabbed to death by puppets is super melodramatic…'
As he is pondering—gushing, he's gushing—his new face and identity, Chiyo knocks on the door,
"Sasori, are you alright?"
Well...he forgot that his new grandmother existed, a prime example of what not to do when you wake up in someone else's body. Especially if you wake up an Uchiha, because you never know, the massacre might be just around the corner. Which is why he is eternally glad that his character only has one family member left and no parents, it'll be significantly easier to adapt. Parents will know immediately that something is wrong, but from what he remembers of the anime, Chiyo never really knew much about her grandson, or maybe she was just being distant?
Wait, are his parents still alive at this point?
When did Sasori's parents become his? He has perfectly functioning ones. Oh wait, maybe when he woke up in someone else's body. 
He shoos those thoughts into a filing cabinet in his mind, he'll ponder them later, because he suspects if he takes too long to answer his grandma will literally break down the bathroom door. After walking towards the door and turning the knob, he hesitantly opens it, peering up at the elderly woman.
What comes out of his mouth next is entirely unintentional,
"I forbid you to murder me, Grandma."
Inwardly he's freaking out because that was not what he meant to say, he keeps his face carefully blank as Chiyo's features flash through a multitude of emotions—confusion, horror, sorrow, and funnily enough, exasperation.
He wonders if such statements coming from the previous Sasori were normal occurrences.
"Sasori, where did you get that idea?"
He pauses, tilting his head in thought, it's not as if he can just say, "Yeah, I'm not actually your grandson but I do know that you kill him in the future with puppets of his mother and father because karma is like that," because that will go over so well.
He settles for,
"Because I might make you mad with what I'm going to say next?"
Chiyo, smiles at him, joints creaking while crouching down so that he's eye level,
"I promise not to be mad."
He lets go of the door, and looks down at his chubby fingers, bringing them together in what he hopes looks like hesitancy and guilt.
Actually no, to hell with it, he's done with life right now,
"I seem to have developed a fascinating case of amnesia. Though I would be more enthused if only it weren't so inconvenient."
He turns his head back up just in time to watch horror and even more sorrow war their way across her face.
"You don't...remember?"
He shakes his head.
They stand there in silence while his statement sinks in.
"You don't remember anything? Anything at all?"
He shuffles his feet a little, fidgeting under her hopeful gaze because now is the moment guilt sets in,
"...no."
She looks like her world just shattered and he winces internally.
'It's better this way, at least I probably won't be betraying and leaving the village. There is no way anyone is going to make me touch Akatsuki with a forty-two million feet pole.'
"Ah...I see," Chiyo doesn't look like she's seeing much of anything, staring blankly off into space, "Come, I'll get check you out of the hospital and we'll go home."
She stands up, still trancelike, and walks down the hall, this time not bothering to see if he's following. Chiyo doesn't appear to be computing anything, hopefully, she wouldn't be so negligent normally? He scrambles after her, hastily shutting the bathroom door behind him and slipping his small hand into her loose ones. Chiyo snaps out of her shock, turning her head down towards him in askance,
"If you fill me in, perhaps I'll remember?"
Her eyes widen a little before softening, she gives him a shaky smile,
"Of course."
Ugh, now he feels worse than dirt for leading her on like that because there's no way he'll remember something that didn't even happen to him. And everything he's done up to this point has only been centered around him, with barely any consideration for his grandmother.
He remembers reading something about Sasori somewhere online, 'Why become a criminal and disappoint your grandma when you could have been an awful babysitter?'
'I just hope I don't actually get stuck with the Sand sibs, that would be a whole 'nother level of chaos.'

So I had a plan...a perfectly good one, one that includes focusing on the few fics I have.
And then this happened.
Do I regret it? No.
Will I ask myself why later? Definitely.
Do I know where this is going? Ask me a few years later and I might have an answer.

Leaving the cafe, Nikola stopped Alnilam and Skymoon and looked at them seriously. There was something unfamiliar and even frightening in his gaze. Like all artists, his eyes could see not only the face but the soul.

"Alnilam, Skymoon, did I pronounce your names correctly?!"

"Yes."

"Tell me what happened when you were alone? Has anyone talk with you?"

Covering his face from the sun, Alnilam said, "Yes. A policeman. He asked for our passports. But I'm not sure that I know what it is."

Nikola wiping sweat from his forehead with a white handkerchief said, "Oh God."

Alnilam, "Sorry, what did you say?"

Nikola, "I have to ask you something. Just please answer me sincerely."

Alnilam shook his head.

"Do you really know nothing about the earth?"

"Yes. I am sincere in my reply."

Nikola scratched his head, then covering his face from the hot rays of the sun, took Alnilam and Skymoon by the arms and went forward.

After lunch, the weather got hotter. The ladies took out their elegant fans and began to drive away the heat as much as possible.
Alnilam watched them move their hand thereby creating a wind. Catching on themselves the look of such a handsome gentleman, the girls were embarrassed and playfully moved their eyes.
Skymoon, noticing this strange behavior, removed Nikola's hand from his hand and went to Alnilam.

Nikola, "I see in your eyes that you are not joking. It must be true that you are not an earthling."

Alnilam, "You are right. You are absolutely right. We are only guests. Observers."

Nikola seriously turned to him and continued to speak, his soft and quiet voice was pleasant to hear, "Alnilam. But where are you from? Are there other creatures that live in other worlds?"

"And you are right in this. Nikola, you are the first person to whom I say all this. You must be really special."

Nikola smiled and looked away. His brown suit perfectly accentuated his sophisticated nature of the artist. The red flower on his chest pocket made his appearance extraordinary. His combed hair perfectly revealed his Greek profile. And only a thin mustache gave his appearance a strict and slightly rude appearance.

Alnilam, "You must have many questions. But I also have many questions for you. Let's do this, first you will answer all my questions, and then I will answer yours."

Nikola, "I agree with you. Only now I have to go. You see, after an hour, I have a lesson. I am a professor of fine art at the university."
Noting the misunderstanding in Alnilam's eyes, he explained, "Art is what you saw yesterday. That portrait, as you said, has a soul. This is art. The art captures time and soul on the surface of the canvas. On papyrus. I teach students this art. I teach so they can, just like I, put the soul on the portrait."

He has to save the whole Universe by getting collapsed and undertand all secrets of being. The world under his leadership exists without any problems until he meets his main enemy and his soul mate.
After all, what is it like to be a simple resident of the Universe when you are only the King of all Kings.

The first thing I saw when I woke up the next day was a squirrel sitting on the windowsill. Its beady black eye looked right into mine. It looked disapproving to me, and I wondered what I had done to offend that squirrel's feelings. I dimly remembered raking up some stuff that could be edible for a squirrel when I was working on that vegetable patch. It could have been that I'd destroyed its secret stash of something squirrels really fancy.

The squirrel was gone in a flash when I got up and took a step towards the window. I felt a little hurt by that; I'd wanted to tell it I was sorry. So I pulled on my jeans and by boots and went out onto the driveway. I was half-naked, and it was nippy outside, even with the sun shining. I raised my head and shouted:

"I'm sorry!"

My voice echoed among the trees. A few birds took off into the air, and I fancied I also heard a tiny feet scampering off into the forest. It appeared local wildlife disapproved of me, in general. I couldn't blame them. If I'd seen a half-naked moron yelling apologies into thin air, I'd have disapproved, too.

All this disapproval resulted in my feeling unmotivated and lazy. Of course I remembered I was planning to visit her house again that day, but just didn't have the energy. I felt tired just thinking about it. So I went to the kitchen and drank coffee and smoked cigarettes until my ears buzzed and my eyes popped. It failed to energize me. Instead, I got a very bad taste in my mouth from all those smokes and coffees; getting up to go to the bathroom required a major sacrifice. As I was brushing my teeth I thought about the whole museum thing and yeah, I could rob it without any big moral qualms. But only on the condition that someone carried me, or preferably wheeled me there in a wheelchair, and deposited items I had selected in my lap.

I forced myself to have a shower, and made myself yet another coffee. I drank it standing right behind the glass doors to the deck, looking at the house across the water. Everything was still, no movement of any kind. After I'd finished the coffee, I got the binoculars, crouched behind the sofa and cautiously peered over its back. I couldn't see her, or any signs of life at all. I watched her house until my legs got stiff, but the deck remained empty.

Making breakfast was a major operation involving threats of court martial and execution by firing squad. While I was eating, I formulated a diagnosis: I was suffering from delayed symptoms of alcohol poisoning. I regretted not having the strength of body and character to go round to her house, though. Eventually, I settled on a compromise: I'd keep her house under watch all day. If she made an appearance, I would wave, and attempt to communicate by semaphoring that I was coming over. She'd need her binoculars to read that: no problem. I'd get mine and hold them up and point a finger at them.

Eating breakfast totally exhausted me, and I thought I'd listen to some music. I turned the radio on and found a good music station, but the DJ was sickeningly energetic, he must have been on speed. I gritted my teeth and waited him out, still hoping to listen to music, but when he shut up another guy began shouting about buying, buying, buying a new car, right away, loans granted on the spot without a credit check. Fucking asshole capitalists, I thought. It's not enough for them to make money on the stuff you buy, they've also got to make a profit on the money you borrow to buy that useless, unnecessary shit. I wasn't some fucking commie, but all this greed left, right, and center, sometimes it just sickened me.

Those were the exact circumstances in which I saw her for the first time; I was hoping they'd work their magic once again, then I was hoping they wouldn't, because then I would have to get up and do all this waving, and subsequently hoof it all the way around the end of the lake. That's the big trouble with feelings, they change all the time, day to day, even hour by hour. You can love someone one moment and hate the next and then love them again another moment or two later, love them more than ever before. People are really fucking stupid, everyone expects others to have constant, unchanging feelings even though no one is capable of having those. It's fucking insane, it means living among other people involves lying a hundred times a day just to keep the peace.

I stayed on that sofa for most of the day, thinking random thoughts. I suspected Michel had got his handgun down in the States, then smuggled it across the border; it was easy enough to do, most of the time you just got waved through without any questions being asked. I wondered where Roch had met him, then I remembered my suspicion that Roch was hiding something from me, the premonition I had way back in Montreal. I had been right, my intuition had proved itself, and it was telling me the planned heist from the museum was going to be a success.

I could already imagine myself as the happy, if hunted, owner of Rembrandt's Landscape With Cottages. When I was making myself dinner, I started thinking how to conceal it until it was safe to display, if ever. Canvas could be rolled into a tight tube, but this was a wooden panel, not big - maybe a square foot - but fundamentally unsuited for rolling or folding. I would have to put a protective layer of something on the painting - the art conservation course I would be taking at the Ecole would prove very helpful there. Then on top of that I would glue a drawing or painting of my own, exact same dimensions, using water-soluble glue. And I'd do well to repaint, refashion, or best of all replace the frame, plus cover the back of the panel with canvas. That would do it.

And it was small enough to carry around, too. I'd have my very own Rembrandt, easily worth a million bucks, and no one would be any wiser. There was no way I was ever going to sell it. I'd have to steal some other stuff too, to get some cash.

I was totally convinced it would all work out just fine, and went to bed all smiles and happy thoughts.  So I was understandably shocked when a pair of cops paid me a visit the very next morning.

On the 10th of August, 1972, almost exactly ten months after my eighteenth birthday, I left my home and cut all ties with my family. This is the story of what happened next: to me, to people I knew, and to the world.

The travel wasn't long just 4 or 5 hours in a chariot, well now I am in front of the Acadamy, It is a huge white building who looks similar to some of the Greek temples with huge columns, anyway a beautiful woman is in the entrance to pick me up and show the place, so I approach her.

The guide was a really nice lady, she was a beauty too, and most importantly she knows how great of an artist I am, my paints are great, btw if you are wondering about how my paints look like is just some portraits of persons ( the majority is from Anna ), some images of war and some scenarios like a castle or something like this, the unique difference is my choice for colors, everything looks is black, gray or white, except for some details like in one of my pictures I have a black gray castle with a red flag in the top, anyway the guide don't talk too much after the time when we meet, and we just walk through the academy, in just 5 minutes I was in front of the directors room.

There is a big red door in front of me, the guide says to me to wait a minute while she informs the
school principal about me, after some seconds she comes back and says it is okay to enter now, I enter in the room and see the director, it is a skinny old man with a topper in the red and a monocle, his hair is white and by the age he is probably bald too, maybe because of that he uses the hat.

"Hello, Luke you want to be a student in my academy right ?"

"Yes sir I was very happy when I receive a chance to come here "

I start to put my things in the room, and after that, I go take a bath, after that, I am questing what I should do before going to the bed, maybe I should start to write a letter to Anna, yes I gonna do that, first I start describing how was my day and the academy and after that I make some questions about how the things are going in her city, after writing the letter I feel a relief and go to the bed, Susan said she is gonna call me before the class start. 

Ahh the sleep was so good, it has been a while since I have a bed so good, if you count my years in this world here it was 11 years since slept in a big bed and a comfortable one, in the orphanage sometimes we sleep in the floor because we don't have beds for everyone, and in the army sometimes you don't even sleep because of the fear of a surprise attack, sleep with a gun in your hand isn't comfortable, anyway Susan call me almost 10:00 am, looks like the lessons here are don't start early in the morning.

She guides me to the class and explain there have 3 classes, class one, two and three, I am in the second class and my class have sons of nobles and rich merchants, class three has only sons of merchants and the class one has only nobles, Susan says even one of the princess is in class 1, after just 2 minutes I am in the class, the class is a big room in a rectangle from, with a lot of paint canvas, all of than white, in the side of the canvas there is a paint-brush and some colors on a piece of wood, in the front of all these paint canvases there is another canvas in the middle and a desk after that canvas, the desk is messy with a lot of paint-brushes and some other instruments this should be the professor desk, and there are just 3 others kids in the room the rest of the 30 canvas are free, Susan says to me the class will start in 20 minutes, and I should present myself to the others kids.

I say hi to the kids and they are very polite and friendly, of the three kids one was a ginger guy who was a son of a merchant, he doesn't is fat but not skinny either he is around the middle, his name is Micheal, the other two are nobles, one was called Peter and the other Harry, Peter and Harry are siblings and looks practically the same, blonde hair with blue eyes the two of them are a little more skinny than Michael but don't is too much, their bodies look like mine, the unique difference between them is a small difference in the clothes, one uses a white shirt ( Harry) and the other uses a blue shirt (Peter), if you don't count that difference even theirs clothes are the same, we talked for a bit and Susan go out of the class, when they heard my name and who They praised me a little saying make fame in this age isn't easy, they looked impressed too but just a little, maybe I am not a big deal for them.

From the trio, Micheal was the most friendly and he talks a lot, some other kids start to come to the class and make questions to me, no one of then treats me bad, just 4 nobles kids treat me a bit cold  they look are very spoiled, it is a group the leader is called Freud and have blonde hair white blue eyes too, in the class we from 30 students, 22 have blonde hair, and 6 have black or brown hair, and we have Micheal who is a ginger and another girl who is a ginger too. 

Everyone is in their sits when the professor comes, he looks around forty years old white a huge black mustache and a black Shoulder-length hair, he says to me his name is Ortelo and asks me to come to the front of the class and present myself in front of everyone there, I do it first I say my name and from where I am, the fact I come from an orphanage and the name of some of my paints, three kids raised the hands and says they already have seen one of my paints or heard of that, and the father of one of then even buy one of my works, even the professor praised me and said I have talent, looks like I have more prestige now in front of these kids. 

After my presentation,  the professor asks me to take a sit and start the class, he was teaching about shadows I pay attention to the class and around 12:00 am the class was finished, it is time to go for the refectory, I sit with Michael and the twins and eat my food, the meal was some fruits, potatoes, vegetables and some meat from a deer, second Michael, and the twins, after the meal we have other classes with the same professor, the professor just change at 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm the name of the professor was mister Garry, and he teaches about coloring the ambient, he seems to don't like me too much, maybe because my paints don't have too much color.

Anyway, we have a dinner after the class of Professor Garry finish, this time the meal was fish and other vegetables, after that, I go to my room and finish the letter, during that I notice the uniform of the school on my bed, they have different colors but the same symbols, don't know it is because of my style of painting but mine is black, just other 3 persons in the class have a black one too, after check my uniform to see if he fits, and fits, I ask Susan if she can send that for me, she was nice and she says yes,  after that I take a bath and make some exercise with my body and use my ki training technique, after that I feel tired and sleep in the bed.
