*end of month two*

My rose of azura finally came! I have been waiting for about 4 days and it's finally here. Now I can really be excited about starting this potion! all I need now is a few basic ingredients from some other places, friends if you will. as I labeled all the ingredients neatly with sharpie and tape, I hear a knock at the door. Who the hell would be at my house at 1:00 in this morning on a Wednesday night? I covered everything with a blanket and ran to the door. Clearly pissed off. My hands were clenched into fists with my knuckles turning white from what I saw. THOMAS?! I'm literally thinking about killing this guy and he thinks it's okay to just show up at my house at 1 in the morning? Who does that? Super creepy and not to mention, annoying and aggravating. I am not looking forward to opening this door, the only thing that snaps me out of my grief induced trance was the loud bangs out on my door. Am I going to be killed before I can end the world? what karma is this? I open the door slowly, peeking around the corner of it to see Thomas, my coworker with blonde shaggy hair and hideous blue eyes. "Hey..uh I'm having some troubles starting my car up and I just happened to 'crash' in front of your estate." He looked so awkward it was making me cringe with disgust on the inside. I cleared my throat. "That's fine, I'm sure I can try and help you." I offer politely. When in reality I'm ready to punch this kid square in the face. Leaving a big purple and green bruise to contrast to his albino white skin and blonde hair..

*the next morning*

I awoke to the memory of all my ingredients sprawled out under a fuzzy grey blanket on my bathrooms hard, white tile floor. I groaned loudly as I left my warm bed into the uninviting and freezing cold bathroom. why is it so cold? I thought endlessly but eventually just shrugged it off as some stupid A.C thing. i collected my labeled ingredients and covered them behind the wide painting of a sun flower I made a few years back when I was still quite young. I was really into art when I was younger, I still am I just don't have the time to do it, you know with ending the world and all. Maybe I could possibly paint the world engulfing in flames. that sounds super enticing and fun! I walked down to the basement of my house to grab my art supplies, waiting until I can finally paint my masterpiece that I thought of originally. I walk back up the stairs organizing my art supplies, paints by color and texture and paper. I decided to go with watercolor paints and paper. watercolor always turns out better for me. as I started I found out that painting has been so fun so far! so I kept going.
the painting was finally finished! basically it looks has a big earth in the center that's green and blue with flames protruding out of the bottom and sides. it has a background of a galaxy with many stars and other planets and moons. I loved it and thought it looked quite good. took awhile to finish and complete but I got it done! I'm surprised it turned out so well I mean I was worried that it would look awful and like a three year old painted it. not saying that three year olds can't paint i'm just saying I have never met a good painter that is the age of three. 

*three hours later*

ugh I hate this now. I have been painting for hours and now I have paint all over my hands and clothes but I will admit that I made some very pretty paintings or masterpieces if you will. I hate that I have to clean and i am honestly too tired to care or even want to clean right now in this tired and miserable state so I will end up just going to bed and saving buy energy for tomorrow. at least that was the plan before I heard a gigantic crash from downstairs. I almost crapped my pants! I walked downstairs with a baseball bat clutched in my sweaty hands. why would someone break into my house?!  I frantically thought until I saw the bright lamp turn on and to my un godly surprise, its my sister. Abigail. why the hell is she here in the middle of the night this is crazy what the heck? I had a look of pure anger on my face. "what's with the look little sister?" Abigail asked teasingly. I threw the bat down into her direction as she swiftly dodges it laughing. I was even more pissed now. "what the hell is wrong with you?!" she started cackling like an annoying witch. she totally is one. all evil ready to curse me whenever she gets the chance. I despise her so much but enough about my feelings towards her, what does she want from me? it was like she read my mind. "so basically I want to end the world and not you...." I looked at her confused. what? she extended her hand out to me. "give me your blue prints and its ingredients so I can end the world in return of telling you how our parents really died. I looked at her with disgust. "so you lied to me about our parents death but you want me to just give all my hard work over to you? fuck no." this time it was her time to looked pissed at me. I smirked and popped out my hip to the side. "what ddi you say to me Helena?" I laughed lightly. "did I stutter? N.O."I spelled out for her. 

what happens next though?

Back on Planet Eclipse, Han Sen opened the box and found a small data card inside.
Han Sen plugged it into a computer so he could view whatever info was stored on it. He quickly found that all the files were on a skill titled Moonlight. The files explained that Moon Wheel, which Han Sen had already learned, was actually a part of Moonlight. Moon Wheel King had written the explanations himself, and he referenced all sorts of skills and experiences as he went.
Up until now, Han Sen had not been able to modify Moon Wheel because he had only been able to learn the skill in its most basic form. He had the soft technique named Moon down pat, so this information was very valuable to him. It was especially helpful to hear about Moon Wheel King's own experiences and techniques. 
It was a priceless gift he had received. This wasn't something one could simply buy.
The final part of the teachings was when Moon Wheel King explained Moon. This was even more meaningful to Han Sen.
"This is a lofty gift to receive from Moon Wheel King." Han Sen knew that a gift like this wasn't something Rebecca and her sister could give to whoever they wanted. Moon Wheel King had approved this himself.
For the next two days, Han Sen remained on Planet Eclipse. Bao'er should have been returned two days ago, but Yisha said she had grown fond of Bao'er and wanted her to stay in the palace for a few more days.
Han Sen did not know if Yisha really liked Bao'er, or if she had actually uncovered something about her. Regardless, there was no use in worrying about it. He'd just wait for her to return home.
When Shadow King came back, Narrow Moon became the focus of many headlines. Shadow King, Night River King, Black Moon King, Moon Wheel King, and Knife Queen had recently explored an ancient high race ruin. The expedition had been extremely profitable.
During the excavation, an important item was unearthed. They brought it back with them, and for the month leading up to its unveiling, excitement swelled throughout Narrow Moon.
The ruins had been the home of an ancient deified being. There were many precious items inside, including a powerful geno art.
But that race was different from the Rebate, so the geno art was sent to Narrow Moon's equivalent of Sky Path Garden for research.
The item they brought back was a giant metal wall. The Rebate professor guessed that the ancient deified elite had practiced his geno art against the wall, using it like a punching bag.
It sounded like a simple tool, but any wall that could withstand deified powers without breaking was remarkable. It was composed of a very rare material, and the Rebate regarded it as quite the treasure.
There were many palm prints denting it, which they believed was the result of a geno art used against it. It was a scary geno art, and the palm prints still had a residue of the deified elite's will. Many Narrow Moon students went to see it, and many of them learned something from it.
Han Sen had nothing to do on Planet Eclipse except eat Marquise genes. He practiced a few geno arts, but he was growing restless and bored. If Knife Queen hadn't wanted to keep Bao'er in her palace, he would have already taken her to Sky Palace. Han Sen was eager to return to capturing the Jade Spirits in the White Jade Jing.
Han Sen brought Little Angel, Han Meng'er, and Zero with him to see the metal wall. When they arrived, Han Sen knew why the Rebate had not hidden its existence.
Unlike the small wall that Han Sen had envisioned, it was a blue metal cube nearly one thousand meters long. When he stood beside it, the block seemed the size of a mountain. Hiding it in a building would have been difficult.
There were many palm prints all across the blue metal cube. Some were shallow, whereas others were deep. Each palm print had five fingers, like a human's, but they were much bigger. Han Sen could lie down in one without bumping his head.
"This is a giant's relic, right?" Han Sen said, while examining the handprints.
"Probably. This item was discovered in ruins belonging to the Ligu. Judging from their bones, they were one hundred meters tall." Rebecca approached, with Du Lishe and the others behind her.
Sad Night was there, too. He looked at Han Sen with contempt.
"I see." Han Sen nodded. He looked at the prints, feeling a strange sensation as he did.
As he examined the palm prints, he got the impression that any of those strikes could have annihilated a galaxy. Even looking at the aftermath was shocking. It was like an endless number of stars had been broken by a hand, and the whole galaxy destroyed.
"Deified Ligu were very powerful. I don't know how long the blue metal cube has existed, but the will put into those palms is quite shocking," Han Sen praised.
"Han Sen, if you have found something, why don't you share it so we can learn?" Du Lishe asked with a blink.
Han Sen shook his head. "I haven't studied the prints. I feel the meaning behind them, but nothing more."
After Han Sen said that, a cold voice spoke. "Han Sen, you are too humble. Geniuses like you only require one look. You have had a few."
Han Sen glanced over at the speaker, and he saw that it was Night River King's son, Sad Night. He was not surprised.
Sad Night had been beaten by Xi Qing King, so it was likely that the young man still hated Han Sen and Xie Qing King. Han Sen didn't care for the man's insults, though.
"I am stupid. I cannot see anything. If you see something, perhaps it is you who should be telling us?" Han Sen said with a smile.
This was exactly what Sad Night wanted. He looked happy for a moment, before suddenly looking cold again. He said, "I took a brief look, too. I have some opinions to share that can get you guys started."
Rebecca and the others looked at him with surprise. Sad Night was talented and very bright. But they still did not believe he could be better than Han Sen. There was no way he could see what Han Sen could not, especially from such a brief look.
Sad Night could see that the others were wary, which just made him even less happy. This was his first time seeing the prints, just as it was for the others. He did have knowledge about them, but it wasn't something he had learned all by himself. However, as long as he could embarrass Han Sen, the source did not matter.


In the magnificent interstellar era, mankind has finally developed teleport technology, but when trying to teleport, they are not sent to the future, the past, or any land known to men...

"Huh?" Lou Cheng gaped, too embarrassed to answer his little fairy's question.
Seeing his nonplussed reaction, Yan Zheke blinked innocently, pointing to the top left hand corner of the box.
"There's a '3' written here, doesn't that mean it comes in threes? I only see two inside…"
I'm young and innocent so I don't get it! You better not lie to me!
*Cough* Lou Cheng's face flushed scarlet. About time to come clean.
On the back of the box, in tiny prints, it was clearly stated that there were 3 pieces per packet. Now, given that Ke wasn't blind, she definitely wouldn't miss the words if she chose to look for it. Lying now would only draw suspicion— which might escalate into an inhumane case of domestic violence.
*Cough cough* He looked to the side as he coughed, in an attempt to hide his embarrassment as he tried to play it cool. 
"There were three, but...you see, I was afraid that I might mess up at the critical moment since I never actually used one before, so I took one out of the packaging and tried it on…"
Yan Zheke listened with a confused look, her bright white eyes widening like a kitten on drugs.
Few seconds later, she began to quiver like a sieve being shook when she caught on, a dimpled smile spreading uncontrollably across her face as she tried her hardest to stifle it.
My Cheng is too well-prepared! The things he'll do for science!
"You are hilarious!" Tossing the box aside, Yan Zheke fell back onto her bed and embraced her white bear plushie. She laughed so hard that her body trembled, losing a slipper in the process.
Can't hold it in any longer! Hahaha!
Lou Cheng looked at his wife— who was on the verge of rolling off the bed from laughing— resignedly, then sighed softly and rubbed his face.
I only did it because I didn't want to pause at the critical moment and get teased by you for the rest of my life...
Ugh, seems like it still ended up that way...
Sigh, but I guess it's all worth it if it brings Ke joy and makes her laugh...
His thoughts ran fast, and soon he himself began to see the funny side of the matter, so he studied Yan Zheke with a slight smile, wondering how long she was going to continue laughing.
His gaze eventually shifted to the the girl's brows and eyes bending from joy, her tender cheeks ruddied by laughter, her pink lips pursed into a pretty curve, her classy shirt that accentuated her slim figure, her creamy neck, her straight long legs, her delicate feet gently swinging in the air. He studied her from top to bottom, then bottom to top, over and over again.
The night seemed to be darker beyond the window, the moon hanging brighter in the sky.
Yan Zheke laughed for a while longer, before she finally got over it. When she wanted to tease Lou Cheng, she realised it had grown awfully quiet, then she felt the bed sinking in.
Raising her head, she tilted, then glanced beside her and saw Lou Cheng leaning by the side of the bed. His eyes were dark and thoughtful, as though a dark flame was burning within, but she saw her own shadows in them.
Locking eyes, Yan Zheke gently bit on her lips and wiped away her smile. Slowly, she closed her eyes, her dark long lashes quivering in the air.
Propping himself up on two hands, Lou Cheng lowered himself and kissed her soft pink lips, tasting the sweetness he longed for.
He pecked at her lips again and again, as gently as he could, until her pearlescent teeth gave way, allowing him to wrap his tongue around hers and lead it in a dance.
Their prolonged kiss brought out all of Lou Cheng's longings and desires. He turned rougher, madly sucking on her tongue and lips as he explored her body with his hands. Her shirt, despite its glamour, proved to be a hindrance to him for all the buttons it had. He was so tempted to rip it apart.
Yan Zheke was aroused too. She didn't take the initiative, but at times she fondled Lou Cheng's back, or lifted her own hands obligingly to aid her husband's advances in undressing her.
Flop. Her remaining slipper fell to the ground, just as Lou Cheng finally worked off the last button on her shirt. Too anxious to even strip it off, he buried his face into her as though he was praying. At the same time, he flicked his hands backwards, sending out two pellucid frost rays that landed on the door, shutting it.
Slam! The soundproof room was filled with passion and desire.
In his aroused stupor, Lou Cheng managed to preserve a last sliver of reason; grabbing the box of condoms from the bed, he peeled off its packaging and expertly slid one on.

Yan Zheke looped her arms around Lou Cheng's neck. "Are... Aren't you done yet..." she asked, heaving softly with her face flushed bright red and her eyes sparkling.
"Maybe wearing that made it less sensitive..." Lou Cheng replied, teetering between pride and embarrassment.
That's when he remembered something he read previously, an article saying that girls tend to lose their enthusiasm and feel discomfort in a prolonged intercourse.
Well, after the intense action from before, he regained control over himself...
So Lou Cheng slowed down and kissed and fondled her again. Previously, he was wolfing it down but this time he slowly savored every bit of her.
At the end, he propped her legs up with his hands and gazed into her eyes, a piercing gaze that reached her heart. They came at the same time.
After cleaning up, Lou Cheng fell onto the bed and pulled her closer to himself. I finally get why they say a couple that reunites after a short parting beats a couple that's newlywed, he thought.
"You were so hungry for it thought you had gone mad~!" Yan Zheke protested coyishly, her fingers playfully trailing Lou Cheng's abs.
Felt like I was going to get devoured!
"Heh-heh, I have been starving for a long time after all," snickered Lou Cheng. "I thought of restraining myself and acting properly to not give you an impression that I only think about such things. But once I saw our little fairy, it was all over."
The talk bridged any remaining distance between them brought by time. They were lovey-dovey again, eager to bare their souls to each other.
Yan Zheke stared at Lou Cheng with smiling eyes and bit her lips.
"Let me ask you something, Cheng. I heard that once guys did it, they'll keep on thinking about it. Was it like that for you in the past month? And what did you do about it?"
Don't tell me you did that? Casting her eyes downwards, she smiled to herself when she remembered how Cheng baited her into helping him in the past.
"It wasn't that bad. It was during the crucial period of making the breakthrough to Inhuman stage, and there was the King of Youth Pro League. Without my wife beside me, it's not like I have the mood to be thinking about such things. Afterwards I just beared with it, sometimes settling it by myself, just like in the old days," he admitted frankly with a hint of pride as he ran his finger down her glistening back.
I never so much so as looked at other girls!
Yan Zheke's heart warmed at her husband's words. Suddenly, she remembered Yan Xiaoling's complaints, saying that even though she mustered her courage and attended the special training to receive Coach Lou's guidance, her idol only had eyes for senior sister and flew to America without a second thought or any regret. It made many female classmates that were interested in joining very disappointed. And so, she concluded it was better to view her idol from far and went back to her bummer life again. "
" What about you? " Lou Cheng asked without thinking.
He regretted the words as soon as they came out, unsure if he was going to be kicked off the bed.
Yan Zheke had wanted to cuddle up to him closer in her blissful state, but her face reddened at his words. She punched, then punted him.
"Of course I didn't! I was busy like a bee! Adapting to the lectures, keeping up with my progresses, preventing the mountains of assignments and reports from piling up… Plus, I didn't like going to my classmate's gatherings, and always left as soon as the group discussions in the library ended. Their opinions of me are... a bookworm, a bore, a loner, introverted, stuck up and hard to get along with… Over here they like girls that are cheery and energetic and know how to sing and dance. Well, it might not be a bad thing since it spares me from many troubles, like racking my brains on how to avoid suspicion…"
As she went on, she forgot about the question at hand and ended up confessing all her unhappiness— some of which she briefly mentioned before— to Lou Cheng.
Avoiding suspicions… The words made Lou Cheng rejoice, but at the same time concerned.
"Do they ostracize you?" he quickly asked.
"They do, but it's not that bad. I'm a top student after all, and the others from my group have to rely on me, so they still behave. Hmph hmph, if they really dare mess with me, I'll teach them what an upper Professional Ninth Pin can do!"
Lou Cheng continued listening, at times comforting her or making jokes to lighten the mood.
"If any of them dares to bully my little fairy, I will make their lives a living hell of frost and flames! We'll see if he dares!" he declared at the end, brandishing his fist in the air.
Yan Zheke went into a fit of giggles again. When she recovered from it, she frowned and stared at him.
"We kept talking on and on until I forgot about taking a bath! I'm all clammy after sweating so much!" she said as she walked barefootedly to the bathroom while trying to put her shirt on.　　
"Great!" replied Lou Cheng, smiling.　
"What's so great about it?" she asked peevishly as she turned to look at her husband with confused eyes.
"The taking a bath together part!" Lou Cheng said as he vaulted off the bed, put one hand on his little fairy's back and another in between the curves of her legs, lifting her up in a bridal carry.
"Onwards, to bath!" he announced with a "heh-heh" laugh as he opened the door and marched towards the bathroom on the second floor.
According to what Ke said before, the soundproof between the first and second floor was good, and Aunt Du wouldn't come up under normal circumstances.
Yan Zheke was nonplussed. When she understood what was going on, it was already too late to change things. She quickly hid her face in Lou Cheng's chest and hammered him.
"Bad guy!"
The passionate sounds they produced turned to blended with the noise of water. After a while, Lou Cheng flounced out of the bathroom and into the bedroom, where he grabbed the last remaining box before dashing back.
The night passed. As the sky began to light up, Yan Zheke pushed him away and sat up.
"The sun is coming out! It's all your fault!" she chided with flushed cheeks, glaring at him.
She bit her lips with feigned annoyance.
"Use the Swordsman Formula on me. I have got lessons in the morning!" she commanded with a seductive look.
*Cough* We were having heart-to-heart talks half the time, but sure, put all the blame on me, thought Lou Cheng as he laughed under his breath. Spirited, he visualized the ancient character and formed the seal.
"Swordsman!" he boomed.
After using the secret art, he felt a fatigue coming over him.
"Let's try to sleep on time in the future. I always feel that using Swordsman Formula to replenish energy is a an evil art. Once or twice is okay, but it will be harmful for your body if I keep doing it overtime," he said, feeling pained.
"Okay, let's sleep on time in the future!" Yan Zheke chuckled, then put on a serious face and waved her fist. "I will remember what you said~!"
"Uh…" Lou Cheng stood dumbfounded.
After freshening up, the two headed for morning practice. Just as they reached the first floor, Yan Zheke aiya-ed when she glanced at the kitchen. 
"What's wrong?" asked Lou Cheng, confused.
"I was planning to bake cakes and cookies for you yesterday, and I even got all the stuff ready, but in the end I didn't… I didn't make it downstairs…..." Yan Zheke's face reddened inch by inch, and in her embarrassment she found it hard to even raise her head.
Aunt Du must have thought that we would come down and make them in the night so she left it outside, but for us to leave it out here all the way until now... Isn't it obvious that we...
"Pfft, it's no big deal. Just tell her you forgot about it." It didn't bother Lou Cheng who knew little of shame.
Yan Zheke rolled her eyes, stared at him and pinched him.
"All your fault!"
Lou Cheng replied with a laugh, feeling good inside him.

After morning training and breakfast, Aunt Du drove Yan Zheke to school, with Lou Cheng accompanying her to liven the mood so that she wouldn't get nervous in front of Aunt Du.
When the car reached the school entrance, Yan Zheke bundled her hair and donned her thick black-rimmed glasses.
"I'm going off for classes now, you can hang around by yourself. The people here like to use slangs, so you should omit as many words as possible. Ask them to repeat if you can't catch what they are saying," she advised.
"Relax, I have professional interpretation software and Google 3-in-1," assured Lou Cheng, waving his phone.
Afterwards, Aunt Du parked the car and accompanied Yan Zheke into the school premises. She was to stay put in inconspicuous spots, constantly looking out for any potential school shootings or violence activities. American schools weren't all that safe.
Lou Cheng only retracted his gaze after his girl's silhouette completely disappeared. He opened the map and began searching for nearby dojos or martial art grounds.
One of his main goals in coming to America was to experience more kungfu of different styles.
After getting the direction right, he followed the map and marched on like a backpacker. He came to a building with three floors, with a suspended signboard that said "China Dragon Punch Dojo".
Standing at the entrance, Lou Cheng looked into the distance and happened to see a female receptionist at the front desk, a girl with dark hair and delicate features that didn't give off any Japanese vibes. Huh, she's actually Chinese...
She gave a sweet smile when she spotted Lou Cheng.
"Hello, would you like to learn martial arts?" she asked in English.


Here martial arts are no longer intangible legends. They have been passed on from generation to generation and from century to century. After the confrontation with science and technology, they have completely integrated into modern society and all kinds of martial arts competitions are taking place across the country as superiority among scholars are hard to reach a consensus but not as difficult among martial artists!
Lou Cheng has inherited the lost skills of the greatest martial arts sect. Towards his original dream and the glory in his heart, he advances step by step, becoming the warrior of this modern city and the hero of the era!

First of all they needed a place to temporarily settle down. The sun was more or less in the direction of the stairs. Considering the time of the day, that was west. With that in mind, they descended the ridge. As expected, there was no path excepted for animal trails. The sister was already struggling against brambles. Her clothes were not made for such treatment. Each step worn them out so much that they soon became unrecoverable. A shame. Moss hoped that she did not held them too dear, but if it was the case, she did not let it show.

The vegetation was dense and the land craggy. At least trees were not high. The sun light could reach trough them and hold them warm. After a few minutes of walk, Moss stopped in front of a seeding of yellow flowers.
-'Sister, take a look. This is a dandelion. Every part of it are edible, even the root. Since we do not have anything to eat, I would suggest we start to reap what food we can from now on.'
He pulled it out cleanly and showed it to her.
-'Those are easy to recognize. If you can spare the effort, please try to get some as we walk.'
She looked, smiled and nodded.
-'Brother, I am truly happy to have been paired with you. The others are probably going to be hungry.'
-'Do nobles not hunt ?'
-'They do, but not by groups of two with only a sword each.'
-'You worry me there. Will they be fine ? The elders seemed pretty harsh to me. I am not sure that they would help if those folks were to eat something bad. Or starve.'
The girl thought about Torim and Marchen.
-'It should be fine. The ones I know of are tougher than that.'

They made a few other stops in order for him to introduce new plants. He even showed her a tree from which berries, leafs and bark was edible. The old commoner had a big pouch on the outside of his coat and it became their pantry. When the princess grew a bit more confident about her finds, she directly stuffed them into it. That startled him several times before he got used to it.

Finally, they found a place flat and clear enough. The ground was covered with low rustic grass. It opened directly on the left size of the hill and offered a fair view of the land lying beyond. They both gave a sigh of relief.
-'There.'
After a small rest, they both got they job started. Moss took out his change of cloth. He just needed to tighten existing garments, that was pretty simple. Lauren opened his scroll, after he took some measurements by placing the coat upon her.
-'How come yours looks so ancient ?' She noticed. An association crossed her mind.
-'Wait... Don't tell me you chose it because it was old like you ?!'
-'Hehe... Herm.'
It was a little deeper than that actually. But not much. Now that he thought about it, Moss felt a bit like a fool.
-'You should have asked... I am sorry I did not help you. I was focused on myself and Torim, and at some point you looked like you knew what you were doing...'
-'Yes... Next time I definitely will ask.'
She smiled at him and sighted. Then she took a look inside the scroll.
Truth be told, Moss was growing nervous and impatient. Time had come to discover what technique he had randomly picked. The girl's eyes roamed quickly over the parchment. At last, she stated it.
-'Your technique's name is "Dual state moon cultivation art".'

Moon ? Dual state ? She kept silence while continuing to read. After short and fruitless wait for the follow-up, he resumed his task. One thread loop after the other... Finally she gave her more to grind, without lifting her eyes of her lap where the parchment stood unwound.
-'Like its name implies it, your cultivation art is separated in two practices. They are to be performed depending on the moon phase. One is for the light and one is for the shadow. The light part is about conveying energy. It can be used to heal or to reflect attacks for instance. The shadow part is about stealth and assassination skills.'
-'Assassination !?'
Moss flipped on his rock. The sister laughed at him.
-'Yes... If you really don't like your technique you can learn mine. I would understand. The elders said nothing against it either.'
-'I don't know... What is yours anyway ?'
-'It is named "Three mind seals". It can be used to connect with other's mind, to materialize intent and to animate objects.'
-'Oh, that seems rather specialized. Animate objects ? Like giving life ?'
-'No. It is only a basic skill. The described applications are limited.'
He took some time to consider, but his thoughts got cut short before he could reach a conclusion.
-'Do you want me to read your technique to you ? That may help you choose.'
He smiled. The old commoner could not remember the last time someone had read something for him without charge. And this time, it was a princess ! How better could it be ?
-'Yes, please.'
And so she did. The style was rather solemn and old fashioned. Sometimes she had to explain a term to him. Physical exercises were prescribed for the day and meditations for the night. There were some schematics as well. She showed them to him. This technique focused on the mastery of four fundamental skills: disappearing in the dark, redirecting energy, giving consistence to shadow and shifting weights. Make your body become a shadow and make shadow become your body. Direct the energy and shake the motionless. That was the gist of it. The applications suggested by the author were rather battle oriented but the scope seemed larger. There were also draws of several moon related plants, said to be of great help for this cultivation art. The peasant had never seen most.

-'Not bad, I would say.' Lauren commented after she was finished. 'It seems rather complete.'
-'Agreed. If we ignore the assassination part, the rest still holds up pretty well to me. I think me training it will make us a more complementary team.'
-'Well said. Then it is decided... How about new set of clothes ?'
-'Almost done !'
The work needed not to be beautiful. Moss had finished the coat and was sewing the last stitching of the pants. He tightened the knot.
-'There. You can try it.'
She moved away to change while he stayed and stared at the landscape.
-'Does it fit alright ?' He asked without moving.
-'The pants are fine but the coat feels skew. I think that the right shoulder is too tight.'
-'No problem, I can fix that.'
He tried, and the second round won her approval. She finally came back before him while swinging her arms and knees.
-'Thanks a lot, brother ! I feel way better now.'
-'You are welcome.'
Her new cloths were very rough compared to the last one. The fabric was brown and a simply weaved, but clean. Some would even have called it passable before Moss's pass. She ripped a shred of her previous dress to attach her hair in a pony tail. With that her hairstyle matched her new look a bit more. Even with this clumsy garment, she was still very pretty.
After this, she came and sat beside him.
-'Now that we are all set, what do you suggest we do ? Seems like we have a few hour of daylight left.'
Moss stroked his beard, looking at his scroll on the floor.
-'I think that bluntly moving forward would be unwise. My take would be to gather some more food. Also I need to inspect this environments life a bit more close. Some things interpellated me on our way down here.'
-'What sort of things ?'
-'Foot prints. Those I saw mostly belonged to boars, rabbits and birds. The last two we may want to hunt, but the boars prints were deeper and sharper than those I am used to. Also, a lot of good plants that I know of have resembling but not identical variants here. It would do no harm to take closer look. We can watch out for predator prints as well.'
-'Brother is right. But don't you think we also need to start our cultivation ?'
-'Yes. We also want to find water and to prepare our encampment before night falls. What about that: we make some food and inspection for about an hour. That way we will have provisions. Then we train until the sun turns yellow, after what we set up the camp. What do you say ?'
-'I say: let's get started.'
And just like that, they packed and left the small glade.

An old peasant takes on a cultivation journey, assisted by the god of water.

A week has passed since the advancement, but I'm still figuring out the quirks of Being a Tier 1 Nutian apprentice or at least I should be.

Frowning while my right hand strokes my chin, I look up and down at Zymir. Zymir is the name I called my summon.
It stands 1.8 meters tall, facing forward without movement- like a statue without emotion. It doesn't have; Intelligence, will nor Self-thought.

I've been testing the properties of Aura using Zymir as the test subject, It costs 15 Aura to summon Zymir, after an hour the Aura has only just recovered.

I found out about Zu's tampering with My Aura Channels-They've expanded Twice their Size than they should naturally be. I recover 10 mana an hour- for the average Nutian they would recover 5 aura.
Doing another full circle around Zymir I put my experiments for the past week to the forefront of my mind.
The results of my experiments were;
1: Aura recovers slowly-10/hr
2: You can infuse Aura into your attacks-for each 1 Aura you can increase your stat values by 1%, This condition consumes 1 Aura/Second-not dependent by the amount of attacks. 
3:Skills are costly to use- Zymir costs 15 mana to Summon.
4: Zymir has no intelligence, it can only move from my intention.

They are the basics, but a lot of experiments were used to confirm them, looking to my left I inspect a 3 meter log planted in the ground.

It has many slash markings, These were dealt by Zymir. To confirm its intelligence I had asked it to Slash Twice on the log.
It did as told, I first thought it had a mind of its own. The second test I didnt speak but thought my intention towards it, my intention was for it to slash the log twice.
Without having to communicate, It also followed the orders.

For the third test I picked a random rock from the ground without looking, I only showed it to Zymir. Ordering it to remember its appearance. I proceeded to spin on the spot before throwing it away- I don't know the direction it went nor the appearance- but Zymir could see.

I then asked it to find the rock, it didn't move almost like it didn't hear the order. It would be similar to telling it to go kill The owner of a Bar, which bar? what does he look like? I don't know so Zymir also doesn't know.

Apart from these basic values, its unique skill is truly great. Unlike the Evil spirt, Zymir can enter the sun without harm nor penalties. 

On the other hand once it enters shadows its entire skeleton frame vanishes from sight, becoming one with the shadow. Able to attack freely.

The downside? 
1:Those who have aura covering their attacks can harm Zymir,
2:When Zymir attacks he will reveal his physical form, hitting him then will damage it.
 
Unlike the Evil spirit who can attack without materializing. 

Pretty interesting, but now the downside! I successfully advanced yet when I check my stats nothing seems to have changed beyond a tiny amount of values.

As you may notice my aura value remains 0, It must be due to a problem of me advancing too early in age. When I reach 15 I could retry the Advancement.

Looking up, it looks to be 10AM. finishing some experiments I proceed to train in m custom made battle arts. its daunting exercise, you must push your body beyond its limits to achieve the strengthening effects of the battle art

Looking at the Rocks, Logs and platforms I begin my personal training routine.

Looking at the values slowly rise I make a more determined effort. The training takes 2 hours, anymore and the battle art stops its effects.

Opening a satchel I throw some lemon grass into my mouth before swallowing, The effects have stopped but its still a decent Vitality recovery material.

Watching the flock of crows fly towards the south, I sigh.

I always felt this urban borough isn't right, besides the first rat I saw in the first couple days and insects. the only other Animal around are Crows.

But each night they would fly away deep into the forest, for what though? safety? water? their nest? a lot of ideas flow through my mind and it always creeps me out.

Remembering when I had metioned that this place was probably the newbie area, low in Aura? Yeah, the notification from Zu had made me frightened.

It turns out I could be living within the most dangerous core region within the area.
A lot of questionable points do lean towards that idea, The four Zurkaro's- Why did they each come from separate direction's to form a box formation? mixed with the warning from the Bat-Nutian about them being the guardians of the Void-Gate.

Feeling a chill creep up my spine, I stop thinking about it.

Resting for a moment, I pack up my bag while bringing Zymir to walk in the direction of the south forest. 

Thinking back to a week ago, The day after I awoke from the advancement I was in urgent need of food, the urban borough being the deserted place it is I was forced to explore further out of my comfort zone.

My plan was to look for water as the main objective, I had a decent idea on how to search for a water source, that was to follow the crows.

Each nightfall the crows will flee this area flying south, considering they dont fly towards any other direction I always felt south seemed safer. Animals have a knack for sensing danger, to double check I had Zu calculate the density of aura from four direction, this was the new ability since gaining Aura channels.

It had confirmed south was the safest entrance, still dangerous though! 

Back to reality, reaching the forest entrance I crouch down and check for any fresh tracks, there is plenty of foot prints but they are weeks old, mostly belonging to the Kwar's from day 1.
Looking left, there lays a 3 meter wide foot print.

There's no doubt that belongs to a Zarkuro, But its strange. I'm puzzled for the reason; several Zarkuro foot prints exiting the forest have long powerful strides, each foot print digging itself deep within the ground almost acting like a tyrant.

But the foot prints entering the forest have several dozen short strides, the foot prints hardly creating a print within the soil. It entered the Urban borough with such might yet left limping? looking back into the borough I narrow my eyes while silently observing. the moment I unlocked Aura the more uneasy I feel staying here.

Standing back up straight, I step into the forest following the trail I scouted out several days earlier. again I place Zymir infront to scout the way. I can feel its existence, not quite possesion but If it sees something move I can tell its general position.

Pushing the bushes aside I keep a look out for any tracks, several miles deep within the forest there are quite a few tracks, using them I could guess the general size of the creature they belong to. for their droppings I get Zu to scan its contents to determine its Diet.

Spending an hour searching, I find the tracks I most want to find- they are hoof prints. They belong to an animal I call Iron Boars, They stand 2.5 meters tall while weighing around a ton, their diet makes them omnivorous.

Following the tracks, I stay by the trees while keeping an ear out for anything that may see me as prey. my hearing enhanced by 50% I notice the tracks are getting fresher.

Walking faster I order Zymir to go ahead, it should be around 500meters away. stopping for a moment I see another pair of tracks beside the iron boars.

Beside the tracks there is blood and fur, The Iron boar seems to be injured. 

Placing my hand around the edges I already know who these prints belong too, they belong to a 2 meters tall, slim legs while having a mouth full of teeth mimicking knives Val, or my personal enemy-Kwar!

Scanning the area closer, There is only one pair of foot prints that seem disoriented belonging to Kwar, they don't seem to be pack animals unlike what their raptor like appearances suggest.

"This Kwar seems injured?" Noticing the abnormal footprints, I quickly judge the situation. I've yet to find an injured Kwar, this could be a good chance to test Zymir's Combat.

Creeping slowly, I receive a prompt from Zymir. Its located the two targets while waiting under a rock nearby.

Trying to gain a further  understanding, it seems The iron boar is on its last legs- violently thrashing around, a Kwar leaping onto its back- taking chunks off flesh off with each bite.

Hurrying over, I tell Zymir to remain out of sight. Replying the scene through Zymir I end up swallowing a mouthful of saliva. I have to re-estimate the Kwar's strength, I know its Tier 1 but its speed should of been its forte.

Although you may wonder why I'm surprised that a tier 1 can kill a tier 0 animal, that's because the Iron boar is known for defence.
Although I've killed a dozen or so with Zymir's help, that's because I'm exploiting a sneak attack to their weak point.

What's their weak point? a 10 cm area of unarmoured skin at the front of their neck. They don't allow anything to go near, but with Zymir? I just have it wait it the shadows, the iron boars don't even realize how they die when Zymir strikes with perfect accuracy using a sharpened blade.

Hitting anywhere else? with a strength of 3.1 the blade's just Ricochet off the skin, hardly leaving a mark. Seeing the Kwar tear a chunk off its back- their hardest part of its body made me realize that it wouldnt be impossible to kill Kwar. 

Isnt Zymir's speciality stealth? reaping the lives of Glass cannons like this Kwar is what it's evolved to do.
Checking my previously hunted boar's Values, I can assume this boar's stats shouldnt be too far apart.

Considering the boars 4 vitality, the Kwar must have atleast 4.5 strength while Its agility doesnt need to be questioned. Leaving its vitality as its only weakness. 

I usually turn away once I see Kwar foot prints but an injured one like this? its almost like its offering itself to me, this is karma.

Reaching the entrance of the opening, 50 meters away Two animals are fighting...Well not so much as a fight as the Kwar is just prepping its meal.

A 2.5m tall Lump of grey and red drops to its feet, unable to put up a fight anylonger. One tusk is broken and looking careful a large gash has opened up on the Kwar's right thigh.

Getting into a crawling position, I slow my breath while calming my heart beat. erasing all intents I stare at my would be prey. Commanding Zymir to get close to the fight.  It proceeds to fuse with the shadows of the forest canopy, sneaking its way to just a few meters from the boar.

It doesnt take long before the Iron boar succumbs to its injuries, The Kwar saw the Iron boar had no strength left so It attacked crazily, ignoring its surroundings.

The Boars head collapses- its body blocking the sun,creating a bridge between the shade and its own shadow, Zymir sneaks across completely undetected, hiding its self below the Boars stomach.

The Kwar not realising danger approach takes a scan around, notcing no danger it leans down to begin digging in to its hard earned dinner.

"Patient, patient" slowly the Kwar starts and stops, seemingly confused as to why it feels danger. taking another careful look around its sure nothing is here. being vigilant it takes a bite.

As its Jaw clench's shut, latching onto a piece of meat I order Zymir to strike now. Out of who knows where, a Jet-black skeleton arm stretches out from under the boar- striking with extreme precision towards its throat. 

The Kwar's rich experience in danger along with extremely high agility allows it to react in time, as its about to avoid the lethal blow It suddenly stops for a split second, its jaw is still in the process of opening- unable to let go of its food fast enough.

This split second is all Zymir needs, the blade pierces the skin of the Kwar- making its way a few cm but falls short of cutting the jugular. Kicking back the Kwar survives a killer blow, its Bleeding profusely as it takes in the situation.

"Close,one" I whisper, making sure its all recorded down for data.
Now I'll see its close combat potential.
Keeping my eyes on the fight, Zymir exits from the shadow- revealing itself before the Kwar.

For once Zymir has to look up towards the 2m tall Kwar. Staring at each other, the Kwar has no plans on initiating the fight. it understands its own situation well.

The forest quiets down, seemingly waiting to expect a good show.
Realising the Kwar is buying time to recover I make the choice to attack first.
"Attack!" Giving the order, Zymir raises its blade. 
Narrowing my brows, I keep my eyes on the upcoming fight. 

Hence Zymir's first Fight against a Kwar begins.

Sword lights crossed and consisted of countless small sword formations. It seemed as if mountain-guarding formation was moved here directly and enveloped Gu Erduo, separating him completely from the core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror.
After ten years, Gu Erduo faced up with this familiar sword formation again. He felt another world appearing inside with his power much stronger than before.
This was almost the Divine Fairy realm.
Luda went this far to such a level without assistance of Heavenly Weapons and top level martial arts.
If Gu Erduo was in Luda's shoes, even if he was not wounded in the fight, he might not be able to achieve the Divine Fairy level in ten years with only his Real Spirit left. There could be a chance if his Scorpio Axe awakens to a better level. 
Those who are true to their feelings would be good at sword art. Consistency is the key. Is this the real power of those who paved their own way?
Gu Erduo was not jealous, nor did he feel disappointed. He only had admiration as he would never be able to achieve that level.
But it's a shame that you meet me in the Nine Levels of Heaven. Otherwise even if with the Scorpio Axe, you alone with sword could end up tied…
It's lonely if one has no friends. But it's more than lonely if one does not even have a valuable enemy. Gu Erduo put on a solemn face and lifted up his axe with praying fire and power of vow rising up around him with Immortal Heaven sound. 
His huge axe was lifted. Clear lights and illusory water gathered in mid-air turning to a pool of water, which could make people go back to human flesh body.
Su Wuming dared not to ward off this attack directly but only to wave sword back. How about Luda?
The huge axe cut down and the water sprayed over the sword lights. Everything disappeared and its power stretched towards the Single Hearted Sword and Luda.
Though Scorpio Axe could be used in many different ways to issue an attack, the Power to Banish Fairies was the most useful art right now!
Suddenly purple lightning rose up and lit up the dark broken Jasper Lake. Meng Qi's Dharmakaya united together with the Tyrant's Invincible Blade and chopped down with no fear towards the art of Banish Fairies.
Colorful branch was not the main part. Its power was limited. After the brush, Meng Qi grabbed chance and broke through the barrier.
Misty light of Banish Fairies met with purple lightning in mid-air.
Purple thunder wrapped around the blade and cut through the Fairy Pool water!
His realm was not enough to fight against the Power to Banish Fairies. Even the auspicious cloud would be defeated under the Banish Fairies' axe. The Tree of Da Dao was not interested in the attack from the Nine Levels of Heaven and seemed to sleep again. But he still had the Tyrant's Invincible Blade in hand, one of the top ten Peerless Heavenly Weapons of Six Dao and was in the same rank as the Scorpio Axe. Though it was not in its best condition, its material and prints were good enough to ward off the Power to Banish Fairies at its current level.
Therefore he hid his Dharmakaya in blade, afraid of nothing.
Water and light disappeared and Gu Erduo could only see purple lightning.
He lifted his axe and put it in front of Meng Qi's blade.
His axe grew extremely heavy and the prints appeared. The void collapsed towards the center part and a dark ball appeared. Time slowed down and lightning bent over, passing by Gu Erduo and his Immortal Heaven body. 
Before Meng Qi issued another attack, the branch of Wondrous Tree of Seven Treasures appeared in front of him and again and brushed over.
It kept following him.
Could it be that the branch was split apart from the tree by Wu'Ji seal or Pangu Flag, Kai Tian Axe? The fight in Heavenly Court was even more furious than he had imagined. Meng Qi felt heavy hearted and began to worry about Mister Luda in the Nine Levels of Heaven. He might not be able to defend himself under Gu Erduo's attack, without his help.
Since he gained the inheritance of Yuan Shi, he would have to bury the karma.
Suddenly a band of dizzy light hit on the Scorpio Axe. Gu Erduo almost dropped it.
It's a crooked white metal, like one broken piece of bracelet. Its material was not any worse than the Scorpio Axe.
Jin Gang bracelet's part? It was broken as well? What on earth happened in the Heavenly Court? It seemed as if history was rewritten… Meng Qi felt a sudden jolt and recognized the fragment.
Grand Supreme Lord's Diamond Kong! Lord Dao De's Diamond Kong!
The Diamond Kong kept attacking Gu Erduo. Mister Luda was able to fight against him at ease.
The core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror tried to cast light over Meng Qi and help the branch to issue attacks. Other Heavenly Weapons turned to evil lights. Some moved around and tried to attack the most eye-catching enemy. Some sensed danger of Jasper Lake toppling down and the door to the outside world open, getting ready to run out of this place. Everything was chaotic.
The purple heart of Meng Qi's Dharmakaya beat regularly. He approached the core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror slowly.
He was not in a hurry at all as he was waiting for the chance to come.
On the other side, Han Guang's left hand Yama knocked out the void and vigor ocean, making a chaotic swirl between Su Wuming and the Fragment of the Eastern Emperor Bell. His right hand carried a long blade flowing in time and delayed Su Wuming's movement. No matter if it's the No-me Sword or the Taishang Emotionless, Han Guang did not ward it off directly but escaped from the attack and tried to delay time.
Han Guang's martial arts skills and Heavenly Weapons were special but they were less powerful than Su Wuming. But Su Wuming also did not get the chance to get close to fragment of Eastern Emperor Bell.
Han Guang did it because he was also waiting for his chance!
The fragment floated between Heaven and Earth. It was made of bronze and was carved with illusory river prints, full of small cracks. Some of them were very deep, similar to the cracks in the core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror.
Thousands of years of warm nurturing did not cure their wounds, the cracks.
The Eastern Emperor Bell gathered bronze lights and times overlapped, gathering power.
Suddenly it moved and the illusory time river appeared.

The sound of the bell shuddered the whole world and the broken Heaven and Earth were absorbed by the Tree of Da Dao. Gu Erduo and Scorpio Axe, Mister Luda and the Single Hearted Sword, Su Wumming and Scripture of Nameless Sword, branch of Wondrous Tree of Seven Treasures, and fragment of Jin Gang bracelet all froze in black and white. Only the fragment of the Eastern Emperor Bell and core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror could still move through the black and white space.
But except for one man, Han Guang. TheTime blade in Han Guang's right hand shone brightly and was fully activated. He was able to jump out from the black and white space, though slowly and was able to grab the fragment of the Eastern Emperor Bell.
Su Wuming would not be able to fight with him now. The fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror would not have time to help fragment of the Eastern Emperor Bell. If not now, when?
This was the chance Han Guang was waiting for!
A chance where he could go directly to the fragment without anyone stopping him.
He stretched out his left hand towards the bronze fragment calmly as if everything went as expected.
Suddenly a breathing like light cone appeared and blew by Han Guang's side!
"Who?" Han Guang was stunned and found a monster of human face and snake body appeared next to the core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror. Its eyes included the transition between cold days and summer days with time flowing by. It's the Candle Dragon, which could move in fixed black and white space!
Su Meng! Han Guang suddenly realized that it's the incarnation of Frenzied Blade Su Meng!
He could change into the Candle Dragon!
Meng Qi waited for this chance as well!
Along with the sound of the Eastern Emperor Bell, those who mastered the art of time and feature had the chance to move without barriers.
The light cone did not attack Han Guang as he was protected by the Time Heavenly Weapon. Instead it chose Su Wuming.
Time sped up. Su Wuming jumped out the black and white space and waved his sword towards Han Guang's hand, which was going to touch the fragment of the Eastern Emperor Bell soon.
Meanwhile Meng Qi turned back to his self by feedback from the Tree of Da Dao. The Dao Yi Glaze Lamp and illusory river appeared together in his eyes. A chaotic auspicious cloud flew out from the top of his head and ran towards the fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror in dark lights.
The core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror shone with strong lights and hit on the Wu Ji lights around Meng Qi, two disappeared at the same time. Meng Qi was stunned. The core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror grabbed the chance and then reflected another universe. It tried to communicate with the other world and then escape from the broken Jasper Lake.
Meng Qi stretched both hands. His right hand gathered thunder and turned into a palm blade. His left hand gathered water and turned into a soft sword. Both hit towards the core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror.
Using his own hands as Heavenly Weapons to play the art of Devour the Universe in Chaos, reversing Wu Ji!
Yin and Yang flowed backwards and mixed together, which became Tai Chi first, and then Tai Su, Tai Shi, Tai Yi, and finally Tai Chi.
Meng Qi turned to chaos without front side or back side and enveloped the illusion of the core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror. 
An illusory sound of a heartbeat rang up. The Yuan Xin Seal aroused the evilness of the core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror.
The fragment struggled for a few minutes and lost its nature.
Without a sound, this ancient mirror was trapped in chaos and wasted its evilness.
Han Guang already touched the body of the Eastern Emperor Bell. Su Wuming could only gather his sword lights and cut towards Han Guang's left hand and then Han Guang himself.
Han Guang shook his left hand calmly and changed his hand position. Su Wuming hit on the fragment by sword at the spot of its deepest crack.
Crack! The bronze fragment split into two parts. Han Guang did not step back and tried to ward off the attack. His Dharmakaya collapsed.
He used all his strength and power that was left and grabbed the half fragment by the help of Yama and fake Time Blade. Then he escaped to a crack between Heaven and Earth.
Su Wuming could not stop him and was only able to put back the other half fragment.
The fragment of the Eastern Emperor Bell was split into two parts. The black and white space disappeared. Gu Erduo and Mister Luda returned to normal again.
However Gu Erduo could only see Meng Qi turn into the chaos and wasting the core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror. Luda and Su Wuming stared at Gu Erduo.
If he did not run away now, he would never have the chance again.
Gu Erduo waved his axe and gathered all kinds of fragments of Heavenly Weapons and then hit on the protective screen and escaped.
The protective screen was broken. The rest of the Heavenly Weapons turned to lights and tried to escape.
Meng Qi waved his left hand and gathered some parts into his sleeve. Mister Luda and Su Wuming also waved sword lights and gathered separately. The Jin Gang bracelets were gathered on Mister Luda's shoulder.
As these fragments were not normal things, and they were only currently conquered. Meng Qi and all others spent some time to obtain what they needed most. For example, Meng Qi gathered fragments of the Xuanming Sword, the Fiery Sword of Rosefinch and Eastern Yimu Sword for the preparation to make his own Heavenly Weapons. Su Wuming got the Jar of the Chaotic Force and the Green-Flame Noxious Blade fragments. Mister Luda obtained the Bodhi Prajnaparamita Banner.
The Branch of Wondrous Tree of Seven Treasures was missing. It might be taken away by Gu Erduo or Han Guang.
"Is this the fragment of the Eastern Emperor Bell?" Meng Qi stared at the bronze fragment in Su Wuming's hand and asked.
He recognized it as Su Wuming used it to communicate with him and Mister Luda in the fight.
"It can be used to sense the river of time in advance," Su Wuming answered briefly.
Meng Qi nodded. He could have borrowed it next time but what a shame it was broken again. It might not be as powerful as it used to be.
Broken again… Meng Qi felt a sudden jolt and took out the core fragment of the Hao Tian Mirror.
He was unable to delete the Demonic Monarch mark inside. But since he was going to give it to Luya, he only needed to suppress it temporarily.
Meng Qi thought like this before but now he changed his mind. He took out the Tyrant's Invincible Blade and made invisible drawings in the air to confirm the position of where he should put his blade.
"What are you doing?" Mister Luda looked at him and asked curiously.
Meng Qi smiled and said, "To split it into two."

But he did not ask further. He knew that Meng Qi did it for a good reason.

 "Can I hold it and take a look at it?"
 "Sure."
 His hand touched the heavy wooden mask, which was made of solid wood.
 Thanks to its rich, gorgeous paint and finely-ground wood, the mask looked as smooth and embellished as jade.
 "I’ll take it. I have no cash on me though. Can I use a credit card?"
 Lan Jin almost hit his head against the wall. What? You’ll take it? You should think it over. It's 500 dollars!
 That was why people needed to be educated. The Nuo Opera was one of the symbols of the Han civilization and a piece of cultural heritage. Its price was quite reasonable.
 Lan Jin had been born in a family of businessmen though. Each mask cost about 30 dollars, and the price got even lower at larger quantities.
 Qin Guan was not in a rush to swipe the card. Instead, he told the man carefully, "Actually, we are opening tomorrow. I see that you are familiar with artwork though. May I ask what you do for a living? Are you perhaps a member of an art foundation or the owner of a gallery?"
 The man was stunned. He looked at the Asian boy carefully.

 The man took off his hat, gesturing silently for a place to hang it.
 Cong Nianwei took it and hung it in the closet behind the cash register, along with his coat.
 "If I may introduce myself... I’m Resnais, the owner of a C-level gallery chain. I also work as a private art dealer in Los Angeles."
 Wow, if you are an art dealer, this mask must be worth far more than 500 dollars. 
 Qin Guan remained calm when he heard his identity. He was clear about what the man was talking about.
 The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York only exhibited traditional paintings and works of renowned artists. None of its albums and publications were about modernism.
 The Los Angeles Asian Art Museum in California, on the other side, was a famous history and art museum with all kinds of exhibits, including famous paintings of different Chinese dynasties, as well as sculptures, stone carvings, furniture and clothing. That museum was dedicated to Chinese culture and history.
 As an art dealer from California, Resnais was deeply influenced by the local art market. His trip to Chelsea Street had been a big surprise.
 "Okay, you can take a seat here. The next artwork I’ll be showing you will shock you."
 Resnais nodded. Just as Qin Guan said, the first exhibit was a surprise.
 Cong Nianwei took the pieces of art out of the box one by one. Lan Jin jumped up and rummaged inside the box, sensing a great opportunity. Money! They are all worth a lot of money!
 "These are Tantou New Year pictures. They flourished at the end of the Ming Dynasty. Ordinary people loved them for their bright colors and pellucid, simple way of narrating."
 "Chinese people traditionally purchased New Year pictures before the Spring Festival. They were like the customized oil paintings sold by B-level galleries."
 "Oh, here it is!" Cong Nianwei showed Resnais a square wooden board.
 "This is another form of a New Year picture. We call it a New Year wood-block print. Artists used to carve a picture on a wooden board and print it out. They were all three-dimensional."
 "They have a history of hundreds of years. These boards are the origins of the press. Show Mr. Resnais, Cong Nianwei!"
 "No problem."
 Cong Nianwei brushed some ink and pigment on the board carefully before gently putting a thick rice paper over it.
 After 10 minutes, she pulled the paper back gently to reveal a beautiful picture of "The Three Lucky Stars".
 The calm, refined man looked shocked.
 In most countries, an oil painting took an artist several years to complete. These prints were meticulously customized artwork though. They also had an outlandish feeling to them that customers of B-level galleries would love.
 Resnais went into art dealer mode immediately. Pointing to the artwork, he asked, "How many do you have? Shall we have a talk about them?"
 Qin Guan answered calmly, "Not that many. I only have one original, the one you have in your hand. The finished products are 20 pieces. I only have 10 Tantou New Year pictures... Plus the mask you like... 5,500 dollars in total."
 Lan Jin nearly fell into the box.

 That Chinese man is really cunning. He wants to bring a multitude of Chinese artwork to the US art market. That small store could be considered a C-level gallery.
 A-level galleries sold only original artwork. They were of high professional level, and most of them were members of the National Chinese Merchant Union. They enjoyed a local influence in the US. B-level galleries were inferior in comparison. They sold copies of famous artists’ works at reasonable prices. C-level galleries sold both artwork and other products.

He frowned, confused.

Qi Shaodong was surprised by his reaction. When he looked at Gu Nianshen's face, he noticed that his face was red.
It was as if he had seen something he should not have. 'How weird.' Qi Shaodong thought.
Although Qi Shaodong was curious about what Gu Nianshen had seen, he did not have the guts to find out. Alas, he left with his mind filled with curiosity.
Meanwhile, Gu Nianshen gently pushed the door and started walking in quietly.
When he arrived next to the bed, he was still only able to see a pair of long legs that belonged to a woman.
In fact, he could even see the corners of her pink underwear.
Suddenly, Gu Nianshen felt a warm sensation in his abdomen. 
'You idiot!'
Gu Nianshen immediately shifted his gaze away before inhaling deeply and exhaling as he trembled.
'Don't think about it. Don't think about it.' Gu Nianshen shook his head.
"Mister Gu," Lin Xiaoyu suddenly called out.
He still sounded sleepy.
Gu Nianshen's first reaction was to check if Lin Yiqian was still asleep. "Shhh!" He immediately gesticulated to Xiaoyu not to make any noise.
"Mommy's asleep." Lin Xiaoyu finally noticed that Lin Yiqian was still sleeping next to him.
Xiaoyu was speaking in an equally soft voice.
"What did you call her?" Gu Nianshen frowned.
Lin Yiqian could hear people speaking near her in her sleep. "Gu Nianshen?!" Her eyes were wide open when she saw Gu Nianshen in the room.
'When did he return?' She thought.
As soon as she woke up, Gu Nianshen's facial expression changed. "Did you have a good sleep on my bed?" He snorted.
"Are you dressed like this to seduce me?" He scanned the clothes on Lin Yiqian.
Lin Yiqian felt speechless.
'Why would I seduce you?!' Lin Yiqian rolled her eyes as she thought. "I accidentally spilled water on my clothes. I borrowed one of your shirts."
She sounded righteous.
"Mommy, I want to pee." Xiaoyu suddenly stood up.
He then climbed out of bed and walked barefoot to the bathroom.
"What did he call you?" Gu Nianshen asked as soon as Lin Yiqian turned to look at him with a pale face.
Lin Yiqian noticed that Gu Nianshen seemed confused but not suspicious.
"He wanted you to become his father. I told him I am your-" Lin Yiqian paused and looked around.
She bit her lip as she paused.
"What?" Gu Nianshen asked curiously.
"Wife!" Lin Yiqian finally said the word.
"He then… started calling me 'mommy'," she continued with a softer voice.
She then pointed at the bathroom with a look on her face hinting 'you know what I mean'.
"Did you just adopt a child on my behalf?" Gu Nianshen frowned.
However, he was actually happy on the inside.
It was not because he was a father and Lin Yiqian was a mother. It was the fact that Lin Yiqian had told someone else that she was his wife.
All of a sudden, Gu Nianshen hoped that the little jerk was indeed his son.
Gu Nianshen wished the kid would continue to address him as his father and Lin Yiqian as his mother.
"Yeah…" Lin Yiqian shrugged.
'What else could I do?' She thought.
"Mr. Gu, I think I urinated nearly two meters away," Xiaoyu's excited voice suddenly called out from the bathroom.


Gu Nianshen had thought all along that he was raped by an older lady five years ago when he got really drunk at a nightclub. When he met a child who resembled him and Lin Yiqian, he carried the child in his arms. “Where is your Mommy?” He asked. Calmly, the child pointed a finger at the screen of his phone. “There. She’s performing at a concert.” Coincidentally, the screen was displaying how a wealthy fan gifted the female singer on stage with 999 roses. Gu Nianshen’s facial expression turned spiteful as he gave his secretary an order. “Give Lin Yiqian a call. Tell her that her son has been kidnapped. She will have to turn herself in to get him in return.”
“Terrible mister…” Before the child could finish uttering his sentence, his biological father had placed a hand over his mouth. “You are being kidnapped!” Gu Nianshen fumed.
