This is my first fanfic. I've read a lot of fanfic in web novels as well as other sites, so I thought to try writing my own fanfiction. I'm a beginner in writing so please bear with my mistakes. Please leave your thoughts about the novel in the comment or review section. It can help me improve my writing.

Now, moving on to the important stuff. Please keep these points in mind when reading this novel:
1. The Main Character will be Neutral, a bit selfish but good to those he considered as his friends. He will do anything he can to be strong but he won't harm his friends to achieve his goal.
(For example, In One Piece world, MC won't go out of his way to kill all the celestial dragon in the name of justice crap. I'll have MC rather seduce a celestial dragon to gain access to different resources. Pirates and Government are both evils in my opinion, so choose the less evil to work with till you get stronger :D )
2. No NTR. I hate Netorare. So, don't expect to see it here. I may include some Netori but definitely no Netorare.
3. MC will only have 2-3 harems per world. Don't expect the MC to catch all the women like pokemon. I only choose strong women in the harem, so don't expect to see some whiny and weak woman (Like Rias, Sakura, etc.)
4. I won't try to nerf the MC as much as I can. But, when starting a new world, MC may weaken and outright reborn (Law bullsh*t or whatever reason I will use). This is for MC to learn new stuff and gain more power.
5. I hate overpowered OC antagonist that suddenly pops out of nowhere more than I hate nerfed MC. I'll likely never use an OC antagonist but if I ever used it then I'll at least try to make it don't ruin the story.
6. I'm not an intelligent writer, so I may make some dumb mistakes. So, when MC makes a dumb mistake then don't flame my comment section :3 It will help me not making the same mistake in the future.

"Are you paying attention to what I'm saying?"

"Uh, sure..."

I sighed at Xander's words, folding my legs yoga style as I watched him scribble away in his journal. We were in the guest room where he was staying and had been talking on his bed — somewhat. It had been more of a one-sided conversation with me talking about college and how I didn't want to share a kitchen or living room space.

"You're not listening to me," I complained, watching as Xander shook his head with a small throaty noise that sounded like some sort of denial. I groaned, rolling my eyes a bit before I looked away from him to his room. He'd personalized it so much. There were posters hanging everywhere, and his books scattered in every corner from his desk, beside it, under it and around his bed. The book he was writing in was the one he usually shoved under his bed. I frowned a bit at the realization, turning to face Xander who had a small smile on his face as he wrote.

"What are you writing?" My question seemed to throw him off because he immediately paused what he was doing to look at me with a non-focused gaze, like he'd been caught red-handed doing something embarrassing — which was probably the case now that I think about it.

"Nothing..." he trailed, closing the book. I bit my bottom lip, watching as he made to throw the book under the bed. If I was one of my sisters — probably Candice. I would have wrestled him for the book to take a peep, but from how defensive he was being I decided that it was probably safer to pretend like nothing happened and just stir the conversation in a different direction.

"What were you talking about again?"

Oh, he's doing that himself. I thought to myself when he spoke up in a shaky voice. I felt a little bad for killing his fun, but that didn't mean I was no longer curious about what he'd been writing.

"College really... Are you getting a roommate?" I asked, watching as he nodded in response.

"It's cheaper, and I don't really think I'd wake up early enough for classes if I was the only one in a room. Human alarm clocks are helpful, you know." We laughed at that, and I nodded at his words as I ran a hand through my hair. Xander and I got along fine, and he was one of my favorite cousins.

"Yeah, I get that," I said in response, thinking to how I used Wyatt as an alarm clock since he was always the first one to wake up and turn the lights in the hallway on. I let my gaze wander to the window, watching the light rain that had started a while ago. Raindrops were already making their way to the window's glass in small splattered stains.

"Plus, Maxwell's going to my college."

"What?"

"Nothing," Xander muttered. I frowned at him, watching as he turned his gaze to the window I'd been staring at just a moment ago.

"Who's Maxwell?" I asked, watching as Xander shrugged at my question with a sigh. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, you know," I added, not liking the almost painful expression on his face.

"He's a guy from my high school. He'll be studying music," Xander explained, playing with his fingernails that were long and well-manicured. "I like him — like a lot."

I ran a hand through my hair, feeling a little flustered by the pin drop silence that followed his words. Xander didn't say anything, but his face was flushed as his lips held a very small smile — almost sad.

"He's amazing," he added after a minute or two passed by.

"Okay..." I trialed, not knowing I should add to the discussion.

"If you don't want to talk about it I could shut up," Xander said in a nervous chuckle, making me shake my head.

"No, you can talk. I'm just — stunned?" I tried to explain as he laughed.

"Yeah, I guess you would be," he hummed, running a hand through his own brown locks. We both stared on at our socks and the purple bedsheet of his queen-sized bed. We didn't say anything for a while and just listened to the sound of the raindrops slapping the window's glass — the rain was heavier now.

"it would be great if he knew I existed, though." I heard Xander mutter, making me turn my gaze to him. I frowned a bit, a little confused by the statement.

"You said he went to your high school, right?" I asked, watching as my cousin nodded as he unfolded and refolded his legs to get rid of the pins.

"Yeah, he did. I was just a nobody no one knew so there's that. I've talked to him a few times, but I highly doubt he knows my name," Xander said, laughing a bit. I looked away, not knowing what to say yet again. I was available to listen, I guess, but I wasn't a talker sadly.

"He's really sweet and nice..." Xander trailed. "You were asking about what I was writing, right?" he said, randomly changing the topic as if it was an afterthought.

"Yes," I mumbled, watching as he visibly reddened before letting out a sigh. I watched him bend over the bed to retrieve the book he'd thrown under it, and when he got it, he held it in a tight grip against his chest.

"You know what fanfiction is, don't you?" he asked, making me frown as I tried to think. It was after remembering Candice mentioning something about fanfiction a few times that I muttered an 'oh' as my eyes grew wide with realization.

"So, yeah..." he trialed when he noticed that I now understood what he meant and was probably writing about. "Fanfiction, but not with a band or anything, but with him — and me — gosh, this is embarrassing. I'm sorry," he mumbled in an almost inaudible tone as his grip on his journal tightened. I just sat there on the bed with him, red-faced, and not knowing what to say.

"I know it's weird. I — I don't know. At least I'm not masturbating or anything—"

"Xander," I said in a firm tone, cutting him off. I really didn't want to know anything about what he was saying in any way.

"Oh, come on. You've done it before — you've done it. Everyone does it. It's just a bit weird when you have someone in mind," Xander said, rolling his eyes. I looked away from him, just balling my hands into loose fists as I tried to avoid his gaze. Sure, he was right, but it was still embarrassing.

"You can leave if you don't want to keep talking about this. I'm sorry," Xander said, probably taking note of my discomfort.

"Ah... I don't know," I said, admitting to my confusion as I massaged the area between my brows. I watched him nod at me as he hummed something under his breath. He then picked up the pen he'd stuffed under his pillow and continued writing in his journal. Err, I guess that's expected since he didn't have anything to hide anymore.

"What about you?"

"What?" I asked, raising a brow at him. He was looking straight at me now, a cheeky smile playing on his lips.

He shrugged. "You know. Who do you like?"

My face started to heat up immediately at the question. "No one," I said my words coming out and sounding just as defensive as they were. I started to wonder if he was asking out of curiosity or whether he was just trying to tease me.

"Come on. From someone with a helpless crush, I can tell. I know you like someone," Xander said with a small laugh. "I feel so much better now that I've told you about Maxwell. Why don't you tell me about whoever it is?"

I shrugged, sighing as I looked up at the roof above. It was done in box panels, and counting them until I lost track was a guilty pleasure of mine.

"I don't like anybody," I lied through my teeth, looking over at Xander. He stared on at me with his green eyes. A knowing look plastered on his face. The pressure from the stare alone had me looking away. I could soon hear Xander laughing, and I felt myself fluster with embarrassment.

"I like Toby," I finally admitted, coming clean. I looked over at Xander to find him staring at me with a confused look on his face.

"Toby?" he said as if asking me a question. "Toby, as in the Mr. Toby you work with, and the Mr. Toby your parents talked to during your graduation, right?" he asked. I wasn't sure how to react to his words. They sounded confused, and a bit pushy.

"Yeah," I confirmed, nodding.

"He's your teacher, isn't he?"

"Was — emphasis on was," I said, feeling a bit defensive. Xander muttered an 'oh', but the confused frown was still on his face.

"You're screwed. Sorry to be the one to tell you, but it's kind of hopeless." I found myself chuckling at his words instead of being driven to the sadness and defensiveness it would have a few weeks ago. He was right. Toby was being nice to me and all, but it was in a brotherly manner tinted with the heart-crushing taste of pity — bittersweet. I guess I'll just manage whatever tangible emotions were thrown my way until I went off to college.

Luka: Are you sure you don't need anything?
Solo: My hierro is harder than any armor, don't mind me.
Alice: Hierro? Is that another ability of yours?
Solo: Yes, I can reinforce my body with reiryoku.
Alice: What are your other abilities?
Solo: Well, you already know of Bala and Hierro, then there is Sonido, a movement technique, 
Cero, a technique bigger and stronger than Bala, but it's slower, 
then I have Cero Bala, which is a Cero but in a really small size, giving penetrative damage and speed of a Bala, and is as strong as a cero, something like a powerful bullet.
Then I can walk in air, some other attacks and then there is resurreccion, which will be a surprise for you all.

Amira: Please, Hero, can you defeat the bandits?
Luka: Well, thanks to Solo-
Solo: You are going to fight.
Luka: Eh?
Solo: What? Did you think I was going to help you? The first time was because the slug was going against me, while the second was to save your ass, I'll help only when you are almost dying.
Luka: 'That's true, I can't make Solo do all the job... ' I'll do something.
Alice: ...Really? You serious?
Luka: Of course I'm serious. I can't allow monsters to be harming humans without any reason…
Amira: Ahh, just as I expected from the man I love! My heart… Kyuuun!
Solo: Luka… Please… Kill her before I do so…
Luka: Not now Solo, where is the thieves hideout?
Amira: I don't know the exact position, but it should be to the west at the base of the mountain range.
Luka: Alright. Leave it to me.
Amira: Ahhh, just as I expected from my darling! I love you!
Solo then turned towards the sky.
Solo: Author! Do something!!
Then everyone heard a snap of fingers and Amira was slowly becoming ashes, which flew away in the wind, but she said some words before.
Amira: it will not stop me!!
Then she disappeared, and silence came.
Solo: Finally…
Alice turned towards Luka, while ignoring what just happened.
Alice: Are you really going to go? You can't beat a dragon or a vampire as you are now. Are you confusing bravery with stupidity?
Luka: I'm not doing it for being brave…
Alice: It's not related to beating the monster lord… Why are you doing it?
Luka: Because! I! Am! A! Hero!
Solo smiled at his words and Alice interrupted.
Alice: ...A fake one.
Luka: guh…
Those words pierced through Luka's heart, and Solo giggled a bit.

But one day he heard a conversation between Aizen and Gin, and in that moment he was testing an item of the 8th Espada, which concealed his reiatsu to everyone, so he was undetected from them.
They were planning to kill him after the war, so he decided to get revenge by stealing the Hogyoku, which was half-successfull.

The chapel Rome had picked was in a secluded part of town, if there was such a thing as a secluded part of Vegas. With their certificate in hand, Rome and Ella approached the chapel. Her heart was pounding in her chest because she was so excited. It was still unbelievable that she was getting married, but she'd never been more sure about anything in her life that this is what she wanted to do.
 The woman at the desk greeted them and said it would be just a moment, that the pastor was with the last couple still. She had a friendly smile, and it seemed as if she recognized Rome's name on the form, but she didn't say anything.
 Once the other couple came out, along with a few of their friends, the pastor stepped out. He didn't look like any preacher Ella had ever seen before, but she was okay with that. He was tall, bald by choice, she imagined, and very muscular. "Welcome, welcome!" he said to them, offering his hand. "I'm Lawrence Fry. I'll be marrying you today--to each other, not to myself." He laughed, and Ella did so, too, just to be polite. She imagined the laughter that Rome produced was also fake. "Are we waiting on anyone?"
 "No, just us," Rome replied. "And… we have on disguises that we'd like to take off before we get married, but we'd rather no one knew it was us who was getting married, if that's possible."
 "Of course," Pastor Fry said with a nod. "We are always very discreet. Right this way."
 He ushered them into the little chapel, and Rome pulled off his hat and wig. When he pulled off his mustache, it stung a little, and Ella rubbed his upper lip. She then removed her wig and big glasses she'd been wearing.
 The two of them walked to the end of the aisle, and Lawrence Fry led them through the ceremony, telling them what to say, making things as easy on them as possible. It was all a blur to Ella, but when Rome pulled out the rings, she couldn't help but gasp. He'd gotten her both an engagement ring and a wedding ring, and they were both gorgeous. The diamond wasn't huge, but she wouldn't have wanted it to be. It was a crystal clear, brilliant, princess cut diamond on a gold band, and the other ring had diamonds on either side that the engagement ring slid into. "They're  beautiful," she said, tears glistening in her eyes.
 "Glad you like them," Rome said, tears in his eyes as well. She slid a gold band on his finger and prayed he'd ever take it off.
 When Pastor Lawrence Fry pronounced them man and wife, Rome kissed her more deeply than he ever had, at least it seemed that way, as Ella felt herself floating away. 
 They turned and walked down the aisle, and the pastor followed. "You ordered your picture package already?" he asked.
 "Yes," Rome replied, over his shoulder.
 "Perfect. We'll email you those, including pictures from the ceremony. If you want to step into this room over here, we have a second photographer who can take more pictures, if you'd like."
 That sounded fun to Ella, so she nodded. They gathered up their disguises and stepped out. Another couple was waiting there for their ceremony. "Oh, my God!" the woman proclaimed. "You're Rome Verona!"
 "I get that a lot," Rome said. "But I'm not."
 "Yes, you are! I'd recognize you anywhere!"
 She had her phone in her hand, but before she could snap a picture, Lawrence Fry stepped between them, reminding the couple that it was their turn to get married. Ella hurriedly stepped into the next room, but she could still hear the girl going on about who she'd seen.
 "That could be a problem," she whispered to Rome.
 "It'll be fine," he said, but she could see in his eyes he wasn't certain.
 The photographer greeted them, and they laid their disguises down on a chair, hurrying over to pose in front of different stations the chapel had for photos. They had fun being silly, serious, and everything in between in front of Las Vegas landmarks and world famous sites. Eventually, they got to the end, and the photographer made sure he had Rome's email address correct so he could send the photos. Then, the couple put their disguises back on, made sure their Uber was there, and headed out.
 Thankfully, the woman who'd recognized him was either gone or inside of a different photo room. Rome seemed relieved to see that she was gone.
 Until he opened the door and stepped outside.
 A thousand camera flashes went off as the couple hurried down the stairs toward their waiting car. She had to have called someone who alerted the paparazzi that Rome was there. He had Ella's hand and they both put their heads down, hustling to the vehicle. The driver was kind enough to get out and open the door.
 Ella felt her shoe slip off as she was running, but she didn't stop to pick it up, no matter how much she loved those shoes. She couldn't stop. Everyone was yelling Rome's name, asking who she was. If someone recognized her or got a picture of her that showed her face… it would be a huge problem.
 Rome waited for her to dive into the car and slide over and then he got in, too, and the Uber driver flung the door closed, running around to drive them away.
 Once again, Ella's heart was beating out of her chest, but this time for a different reason altogether. "Are you all right?" Rome asked.
 Looking back, she could still see a barrage of flashes coming from outside the chapel. She nodded her head, but something told her this was going to end up being a bad situation for them.
 "Where's your shoe?" Rome asked, glancing down at the floorboards.
 "I lost it."
 "We'll get you another pair if you'd like," he volunteered.
 Ella smiled, but she didn't want another one. They weren't the right size. Besides, someone might try to trace the shoe she'd lost back to Rome. There shouldn't be any way to trace it to her ,but she wasn't sure, and that made her stomach tie up in knots as surely as she'd just tied the knot herself.
