Being a Witch gave the common folk no limitations. A lot were burned, Some were raped, some are still personal slaves to a human being's never ending lust.


But. The fate for all Witch kind is about to change. Akareas rose from the bottom.
From nothing, she gained ability like no other Witch. From Nothing to forming Volcanoes out of thin air. 
From Nothing, to causing Fire Tornadoes.
From nothing, to gaining Super Speed.
With she be able to lead Woman kind to a better life? Will she be able to help her Witch Kind?

the story is about a young man being forced to fight as a saviour . together with his witch friend , they must beat and send those evil being back to their rightful place .

In  12th century , India


A Powerful kingdom where rich people were living in golden houses and Poors were living in  huts . Poors were beaten mercilessly even for a small mistake . Peasants were forced to leave their fields if the Richards wished to have their fields.  In short this kingdom was only for the rich not for the poor. 


In that kingdom a poor farmer was brutally stabbed by a whip . His wife and son were pleading maniacly to the cruel soldier to show some mercy but they were like unstoppable. At last  after getting tired the cruel soldier left him, after giving him a warning that not to mess with him. As soon as the soldier and his mates left his family members came to help him and all the people present there surrounded him and started whispering among themselves. 


One of them. What happened? Why was Bhiku beaten like this? Do you know?


Other one . Are you don't know this man refused to give the gold coin to the soldier , that's why the soldier beat him.


Third one. But why did he refused, when he knew that these people are very cruel and about gold coin he could earn later also only if he is alive.


Fourth one. But that was his only earning in last four days. His family was hungry from last three days . So how can he give that. 


Everyone gave him a pitiful look .


An old man. Oh god! Show some mercy to us why only we poor are the sufferer. God please send our queen back now she is our only hope.


Everyone slowly dispersed from there as they knew that if anyone will help him then the next day he will be also lying there like the farmer.


Bhiku wife and his eight years old son gave him support . His crying wife held his waist with one hand and wrapped his one arm around her shoulder giving him support to walk. His son also tried to support him as much as he could. After walking some time they reached their small half-broken hut . They made him lie down on the bed of dry straw. His wife ran outside and came back with some neem, turmeric, aloevera as nd water . She hurriedly applied the paste on his wounds .


His wife (crying). What was the need to argue with that monsters ha? One more day we would have slept by filling our stomach with water only.


Seeing her husband in this much pain she cried more and the little boy just looked at his badly injured father. With slow steps he walked near his father.


Boy(with a low voice ) Baba..


Bhiku slowly moved his head towards his son.


Bhiku( smiling a little). What happened ,beta?


Baba(at the verge of crying) Baba , are you okay?


Bhiku(smiling ). Yes beta.


With his smile  he tried to cover his pains.


Boy. Baba, maa says if we do something bad then God punishes us. Have we done something bad that God is punishing all of us.


Bhiku(in a painful voice) . Somu.. beta we haven't done anything wrong but we are cursed. Cursed to have such a witch queen who manipulated our kind king that he became heartless.


Somu( a bit confused) . But baba how can the king marry such a witch queen. Didn't he knew that she is a bad women. Just like when I am about to do something wrong maa stops me and explain me ,how wrong it is  , king's mother didn't stopped him.


Bhiku smiled at his innocence.


Bhiku.(sadly). Arrogance diminishes wisdom beta. The same happened with Rajmata. She was completely blinded by her ego. Due to which she lost a gem.


Somu. Which gem she lost baba? Was that vey precious?


Bhiku. Yes , beta she lost the most precious gem our real Maharani.... Maharani Aniksha.


This was a new information for somu . 


Somu (gasped) . Baba that means this witch queen is fake . Then where is our real Maharani . Was she like an angel.? Was she very beautiful? Baba tell me na I want to know everything.


Bhiku smiled at his excitement.


Bhiku. Hold on .. hold on.. Yes she very beautiful kind and brave. You know she was the best. She was like a mother for the whole kingdom. She was a symbol of love. She used to take care of everyone. And you know in the battleground she was the most fierce one . (Laughing) Sometimes before fighting other kings used to surrender before her.

  

Hearing this somu was excited at first but then he became sad. Bhiku noticed his sad face.


Bhiku. Hey! What happened? Why you became sad?


Somu. Baba , how nice it would have been if I was also brave like queen . Then this soldier didn't dare to even look at my family. 


Bhiku . Beta , everyone is not born brave but they gradually become brave or the situation force them to act brave. Everyone is not perfect from birth but they become in proper guidance and support. You know our Maharani was earlier not like this. She became like this with the help of his love who is none other than our king.


Somu. But baba where is she now. Has she left this rajya?


Bhiku. No beta she has not left this rajya but she has been prisoned . This witch queen and egoistic, arrogant Rajmata both have prisoned her.


Somu gasped loudly hearing this. He showered his father with lot of questions like how, what, when ,why.


Bhiku( patting him). Bas bas .. calm down . You want to everything about Maharani.


Somu nodded excitedly.


Bhiku. Then listen. First tell me one what do you think , was our Maharani a princess?


Somu nodded in a Yes because it is obvious that only princess become queen .


Bhiku. Then you are wrong my dear because our Maharani was an ordinary village girl . She was the daughter of ordinary vaidya. She didn't had any single quality of of a queen. 


Somu. Then how she became this much great queen.

Ever since Alyssa was little-er, she could remember she'd always had sock monkey with her. Though she could not remember how he became hers. Though, sock monkey remembered all too well. With the help of Cheshires' special tea, Alyssa was going to have a very special dream.

"Speak to your sock monkey, quickly before you fall asleep." Cheshire was directly behind Alyssa weaving her spell, willing Alyssa to speak.

"Sock monkey we've been together for a very long time, but I don't remember..." she yawned with heavy sleep dusted eyes. "...how you became mine?"
 
"How do you expect me to answer that, you can't even hear me." Sock monkey found himself flying off of the table only to be cradled in Alyssa's arms. Yes, arms! Sometimes Alyssa secretly cradled him when sure she wouldn't be seen. 
 
Now let the flashback begin. 
 
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter, the sound of feet flying out the door. "Eric! Stay out of the woods. We wouldn't want the wicked old witch to get you." Called out a heavy female voice in a joking way. 
 
Little did she know those would be the last words she'd say to her beloved son, Eric. 
 
"Yes, Mother!" Responded Eric half-listening to his mother as he ran off the front porch towards the dry old creek bed and his friends. Wasting no time he quickly hid as to pop out from behind a small bush in hopes of frightening his friends. "Hi, guys!" It did not work. 
 
"Hi, Eric." The three boys said in an uncaring way while doing three separate things. 
 
"W-where have you b-been? We-we've b-been w-waiting for hours!" Said the boy at the edge of the creek bed. 
 
"I couldn't get away without first doing my chores, Derk." Eric approached the boy from behind. "What are you messing with?"
 
"Leave him alone, Eric!" Said the taller of the three now leaning against a tree. "You know my cousin is crazy!"
 
"I-I'm not crazy, A-Alek!" Cried Derk glaring at Alek. 
 
Pipping up from a distance, the third boy yelled, "You three are too predictable and pathetic. Quit fighting and let's do something fun today."
 
"Mathew's right!" Said Eric gaining everyone's attention. "We always do the same things every day when we're together. Let's do something different. Something fun, maybe even a little dangerous."
 
"W-What do y-you mean Eric?" Asked Derk not wanting to know the answer or to get in trouble. 
 
"What about a test of courage?" Suggested Alek, a mischievous gleam in his eye. 
 
"That sounds like a great idea!" Said Mathew smiling wickedly. "We should do it at night though, but where? It has to be somewhere scary."
 
"The old witch's cabin!" Blurted out Eric not thinking about his mother's warning. "You know the one in the clearing south of the village. An old forbidden cabin sits there, it's said to be the home of the wicked witch of the woods."
 
"T-that's a lie!" Derk spoke boldly, though he was fidgeting. "I-I read th-that house use to b-belong to the M-Myer family. Y-you know the old m-mayors family. I-I read that the occupants just v-vanished one n-night.  G-gone w-without a trace. T-The r-records also s-said that the w-witches mark was left on the f-front d-door. A-also t-that t-the d-door was locked t-tight. J-just like the ones who were vanished w-within the w-woods. T-The Mark was the only thing left of them, w-well t-that and their t-things."
 
"Sounds like fun!" Mathew liked the idea of tempting the witch's wrath. "We should do a courage test there!"
 
"Naw!" Said Alek with a positively evil glint in his eyes. "We should spend the night inside the old cabin. Also, the first to leave before daybreak will have to play the commands of the one who makes it to first light."
 
"W-What if w-we all m-make it to m-morning?" Asked Derk, a sinking feeling beginning to form in the pit of his stomach. 
 
"Then we're all brave, and no one wins." Said Eric nonchalantly. "But, now the question is how do we all getaway for the whole night?"
 
"That's easy!" Declared Mathew. "We'll tell our parents that we're going to sleepover at each other's houses."
 
"W-What? Derk was confused. 
 
Without hesitating, Mathew began talking, laying out the plan. "Derk tell your parents that you're going to stay the night over at Alek's. Alek tell your parents that you're going to stay the night over at Eric's. Eric tell your parents that you're going to stay the night over at my house. I'll tell my parents that I'm going to stay the night over at Derk's. Oh, be sure to grab a pillow, blanket, and a change of clothes before heading for the old cabin in the clearing. Agreed, agreed!"
 
They all ran home to tell the lie Mathew had come up with. As each one told their parents, they gathered the things they would need for the night. They all met up at the entrance to the clearing and the forbidden cabin.   
 
"Bout time you three got here!" Said Mathew running and jumping onto the porch of the cabin. "I'm the first to arrive, how'd it go with your parents?"
 
"My mom just smiled and said, "Have fun, and don't annoy Eric's mom. She has it hard enough as is. Also, Behave!" Alek said while looking at Eric's emotionless face. 
 
"M-my m-mom was h-happy. S-she said to eat all my food. B-brush my t-teach and b-behave pr-properly." Said Derk somewhat confused as to what made his mom so happy. 
 
"My mom didn't say anything." Said Eric dryly. "She just sat there in her chair staring out the window, like she always does around this time. I don't think she even noticed that I was home."
 
"That's rough!" Said Alek grasping Eric's shoulder in a somewhat comforting way. 
 
Felling slightly awkward with the situation Mathew clapped his hands gaining everyone's attention. "On another note, let's head inside and get a fire going so we'll have some light."
 
"You mean so we don't freeze tonight, right!?" Said Alek with a slight laugh. 
 
"Good thing I picked up some twigs and dry brush on the way here." Said Eric noticing the other three didn't have the foresight to bring anything for a fire. "I'll get the fire started."
 
All four entered the old creaking cabin. Eric immediately started on the fire. While the other three started rearranging the room in order for all four of them to sleep close to the fire. If indeed they'd get to sleep that night. 
 
"It smells of rot and moths." Said Eric finally getting the fire to light. 
 
"Naw... it's just old, dank, and dirty!" Said Alek looking at his dirt-covered hands. 
 
Mathew took it upon himself to start the night off with tall tales about dragons, fighting knights, fairies, elves, and of course the wicked witch of the woods. Halfway through the night as the four boys started to settle down in their makeshift beds, noises could be heard all around. 
 
"D-did you hear that!" Said Derk looking towards the door. 
 
"Shut it cuz, and go to sleep!" Said Alek face down in his pillow. 
 
"I didn't hear anything." Said Mathew shifting to his side, looking at the door. 
 
Eric just shrugged, stoked the fire one last time before crawling under his blanket for the night. 
 
Suddenly there was a loud creaking noise from beyond the front door. 
 
"B-bet you heard that!" Said Derk in a low whisper. 
 
Almost immediately after hearing the ongoing creaking all four boys were sitting upright staring at the front door. 
 
"What was that?" Asked Eric keeping a calm tone while whispering. 
 
A louder creak, a shadow passing the windows by the door. 
 
"Someone's outside." Whispered Alek moving closer to Derk, he was visibly shaking from fear. 
 
"Don't be ridiculous." Hissed Mathew shooting both Alek and Derk angry confused looks. "No one knows we're out here."
 
"Well isn't that good to hear? " Came the voice of an old woman within the cabin, behind the boys. 
 
With fear tightly gripping their hearts all four boys turned to look. Standing hunched over, hands outstretched towards the fire starring back at them. The old woman immediately noticed Alek and Derk tightly embracing each other. Mathew's eyes bulged in disbelief, yet curiously there was no fear in his eyes. Then again he was holding a long stick in his hand. He wasn't the one who had tended to the fire. With a curling smile on her face, the old woman said, "You four shall make excellent new additions to my collection."
 
"Y-y-you're the w-witch of the wood!" Declared Derk almost wetting himself while clinging to Alek for perfection. 
 
"That I am child." Said the witch, her full attention on the two frightened boys. "The two of you shall make a rather lovely pair of doves." With a wave of her hand, the boys began to change and a cage appeared around them from thin air. They were trapped and completely transformed into two glowing white doves. 
 
Now Mathew was afraid, he made a desperate break for the door. "And where do you think your going young man?" The witch waved their hand again, as vines sprouted up around the doom trapping all within. "Did you think you could run away from me? Did your mother not teach you any manners, my boy. I do believe that you'll make a rather fine wall tapestry, at least for my herb wall." Another wave of her hand and muttering of a few words. Mathew's screams quickly filled the cabin and seemed to stop just as quickly. With the silence, came a rather large tapestry floating in the air. It promptly began folding itself up neatly. It was Mathew, forever trapped within a scream. Eric visibly shuttered. 
 
The old witch's gaze finally fell upon Eric, who at some point had picked up a flaming stick from the fire. "Now, for you my little stick-wielding boy. Oh, what a defiant look. Do you think that fire will burn me?" She was slightly bemused. 
 
"Stay away from me!" Eric yelled, trying to look tough while starring down the witch. This included holding the burning stick as if it were a sword. "Release me from here at once!"
 
Keep in mind self-preservation is key to survival, especially against a witch, just not this witch....
 
"How interesting!" She laughed, standing to her full height. "Your not like the other three, I see. Making demands of me. Your the truly brave one, especially to threaten me with a stick! I venture you'd wish for it to be a real sword." Smiling she stretched out a boney finger the fire went out as she touched the stick. Almost instantly the stick became larger, heavier, and flattened out. It turned from brownish-black to silver, it became a real sword. It was almost too heavy for Eric to wheeled, he did managed to wheeled it if only to move slightly and fall flat on his face next to it. 
 
Hahaha hahaha! The witch laughed loudly. "Such an interesting one you are. You my boy... you shall be rewarded for your bravery, and making me laugh."
 
Eric rubbed at his reddening nose. "You're going to let me go?"
 
"Why no, silly boy." The witch smile widened creepily from ear to ear. "You'll have the honor of keeping my granddaughter company forever!" With a flick of the wrist and a muttering of words the witch's spell took affect. 
 
Eric suddenly found himself shrinking in size, dispute his arms and legs growing longer. He felt his eyes as they began to bulge, turning into large black buttons. His once pale skin began to gray while taking on a knitted texture. He found his mouth could no longer open, it was sealed shut in a smile. 
 
"This silly brave boy shall forever be a silly brave sock monkey." She picked him up off the floor. "You shall keep my precious little granddaughter, the Little Witch Alyssa company until the day she breaks my spell binding you to this form, should it be her desire. My granddaughter shall be the strongest, most powerful witch of all time. She'll be unstoppable!" She gathered her newly acquired goods leaving the cabin in a cloud of ash and smoke. Later that very night the boy formerly known as Eric was gifted to the newly born witch, baby Alyssa. 
 
-end flashback-
 
"You were so small and adorable back then with your brownish red curls. The thought of you becoming like your grandmother terrified me." Thought sock monkey grinning inwardly to himself, despite always having a grin on his face. "It's amazing that you didn't follow in your mother and grandmothers' steps. Though I do hope you break this spell soon. What I wouldn't give to eat again, to feel the grass beneath my feet and the wind in my hair. Maybe even see my mother again."
 
"Don't count on that happening any time soon, sock monkey Eric." Cheshire plucked Alyssa and him up from the chair carrying them over to the bed. "Get some rest for tomorrow Alyssa will hear you speak!"

The Adventures of a young witch, traveling the world(s) and maybe time itself.

Magdalene found herself in a great deal of debt to Roman Morrison. He had given her a chance to live happily, begin a new education, not just as a witch but as a functional adult in society. He located her almost immediately upon her escape from Palazzo il Bicchiere. He said he knew her mother and was from the same clan as her. Magdalene did not trust him initially, but he wasn't a vampire, so it was a little easier to trust him than anyone else she had ever met in her life. He facilitated her entry into Harper's University. She had been homeschooled by a private tutor as a child, but was not used to formal institutionalized learning. Roman recommended attending Harper's University because many witch clans sent their college age students there. There was a high probability that Magdalene would meet other witches her own age there. Also, Roman's niece, Cassandra, was in her second year at the school and would be able to keep an eye on Magdalene.

 It had taken sometime for Magdalene to convince her newly found guardian that she could reside on campus at Harper's University without his supervision. The biggest issue was how she could secretly receive blood without anyone discovering she was a half bred vampire. While there was a large population of secret witches on campus, there were no vampires, and even amongst witch clans Magdalene would be seen as a dangerous half breed. Magdalene didn't want anyone to find out her "condition," but she was confident that she would be able to manage her disease on her own. 

Cassandra helped her case when she told Roman that one of her friends, Nathan, was studying at Harper's in the residential nursing program and had a job at the campus clinic. He was also a witch and would be able to facilitate Magdalene going to the clinic daily for blood infusions. Roman was hesitant until after he met Nathan. He seemed to agree that it was an alright plan, but he was still nervous.

"Ready, kid?"

Magdalene glanced to her left. Roman stepped up next to her holding a laundry basket of household supplies. He was a tall man, about six two, with broad shoulders and a muscular build. He was clean shaven with light brown hair that was long, giving him a shaggy appearance. There were flex of gray woven into his brown locks. Roman had stunning pale blue eyes that pierced the soul whenever they looked at someone. His skin was dark, tanned from the summer sun, but showed signs of age. Magdalene could only guess his age of about forty. She assumed as he knew her mother that he was about her age.

Magdalene nodded her head with confidence as the crosswalk light switched to green. She had been ready to be on her own for a long time. Roman led the way across the street to the dormitory. Magdalene followed closely, unsure of where she was going. Someone opened the door for them as they entered the building. Roman seemed to know where he was going because he made his way through the lobby, pass the front desk and down a long hall with dormitory doors on either side. At the end of the hall was an elevator. Magdalene pushed the button for Roman as his hands were full.

They didn't say anything to each other on the elevator. When they arrived on the third floor, Roman stepped out first, again as if he knew where he was going. Magdalene followed and took in her surroundings with ease. She noticed every detail of her environment, from the torn yellowing carpet in the hall, to the broken brass number seven on one of the doors as they passed.

The hall was crowded with people; college students moving in, socializing and parents saying good bye to their children. Dorm room doors were open, welcoming people to come in and make friends. Magdalene kept her head down as her eyes wandered. As excited as she was to be out of Palazzo del Te, she wasn't sure if she was excited to have friends and meet new people. Her anxiety started to rise; what if they asked about her past or her scars? Would they believe that she was abused, that she didn't hurt herself? How was she going to make friends if she had to start out by keeping secrets?

"Magdalene?"

She looked up at Roman who had stopped outside of dorm number twenty four. Magdalene stepped forward with her keys in hand. She unlocked and pushed open the door. Roman moved into the room first with her basket of belongings. The room was empty with the exception of two bunk bed frames, mattresses and matching wood desks. Magdalene smiled slightly, it was simplistic compared to the lavish lifestyle she lived with her father, but she loved it.

Roman set the laundry basket down on one of the desks and began to unpack it. There were sheets, comforter and pillow in the basket along with cleaning supplies. Magdalene opened one of the closet doors and found a dresser. She began to unpack the limited clothes she had with her. Once her belongings were organized Roman stood before her with his hands in his pockets to say good bye.

"Do you want me to wait until your roommate gets here?"

"I'll be able to tell if they're a witch or not," Magdalene said easily.

"You have the cell phone I gave you?"

Magdalene pulled it from the back pocket of her jeans and held it up to show him.

"You get into any shit, I'm always your first call," he said.

She rolled her eyes but smiled at him. 

"Alright," she nodded. She glanced at him reluctantly.

"What is it?"

"I just…well, thank you, for everything."

"You've thanked me more in the last two weeks we've known each other than my ex wife ever did over the course of ten years of marriage," Roman laughed. He cupped Magdalene's cheek while beaming at her. "You're everything your mother hoped for. She'd be very proud of you."

Magdalene nodded her head, but looked uncomfortable.

"I hope so," she whispered. "I'll see ya?"

"Be good," Roman nodded before kissing her forehead and walking out of the dorm room. 

He left the door open. Magdalene stood in the doorframe watching him walk down the hall back towards the elevator. She crossed her arms over her chest and took a slow breath to steady herself. She watched as people moved by her in the hall, wondering who was going to be her roommate?

She turned and retreated into the dorm. In her backpack, she pulled out a book Roman had given her about the history of the witch clans in the Midwest. She climbed up onto the bunk bed she had made for herself and opened the book to the marked page she had left off on.

"Hey, here it is!" shouted a voice. "Dorm twenty four. I didn't see the number because the door is open."

Magdalene had only been reading for a few minutes when a young man stopped in her doorframe with a box in his hands. He was looking down the hall, shouting at someone. After a moment, he turned into the room and put the box on the spare desk.

"Hey," he said to Magdalene who rolled onto her side to see who was walking into her room. "I'm Sonnie." 

He held out his hand to Magdalene who shook it from her position on the bed. His name was appropriate for his appearance. He was tall, muscular, well tanned and had sunshine blonde hair that fell all the way to his shoulders. His eyes were dark hazelnut brown. He was wearing a loose fitting white tee shirt and board shorts.

"Magdalene," she said introducing herself.

Behind Sonnie, a bombshell blond walked in carrying three or four bags on her arms. She walked two steps into the room and dropped the bags to the floor.

"Thanks for the help," she said to Sonnie.

"I was carrying the box!"

Magdalene sat up on her bed. This had to be her roommate.

"Hi," the young woman said as she stepped over her bags towards the bunk bed. "I'm Rose."

"Magdalene, nice to meet you."

She took the woman in for a moment. She was tall, skinny and had a thin but beautiful face. Her pin straight blond hair fell all the way down to her lower back. As she lifted her hand to tuck her hair behind her ear, Magdalene noticed a small four leaf clover tattoo on her wrist. Only one leaf of the clover was shaded in, the rest were just outlined. There were three small dots in a straight line below it moving towards her palm.

Rose was a witch.

Magdalene could tell because of the tattoo. The clover represented the clan she was a member of and the three dots were her rank. Magdalene was surprised that she already had three dots, it meant that she was a member of the clan for her entire life. Magdalene had not met many witches, but from what she had read the highest rank within American clans was five. It was usually reserved for clan or family leaders. If Rose was ranked third in her clan at the young age of eighteen, she must be a descendent of the clan leader.

Her suspicions were confirmed when she expanded her mind into the room and felt Rose's aura, which was bright and happy. Rose herself was anxious; she felt overwhelmed by being away from home and was not looking forward to having a roommate that she didn't know.

 Empathy was one of the few vampiric powers Magdalene had inherited from her father. She learned over many years in her father's house to control and manage the power. If she didn't, she would feel everyone's emotions at the same time—walking into a crowded room could be debilitating because she would be overwhelmed with everyone's emotions. Empathy was one of the more difficult physical powers because it required so much control.

Magdalene bit her bottom lip. She wasn't sure how she felt about Rose. She felt guilty reading the girl's feelings, but she had to confirm if she was a witch or not. Sonnie was also a witch based on his aura and emotions. Magdalene did not see a clan tattoo on Sonnie though. Either a tattoo wasn't visible or he did not have any clan affiliation yet, which wasn't unheard of.

                "Well, I'm going to head down to my dorm," Sonnie said awkwardly. "I'll see you later, Rose. Magdalene, it was nice to meet you."

                "Same to you," Magdalene said with a nod.

                "Thanks for the help. I'll see you later," Rose said to Sonnie with a smile. He nodded his head before leaving the room. He closed the door to room twenty four behind him. Rose turned to Magdalene.

                "Is he your boyfriend?" Magdalene asked in an attempt to make small talk.

                "He wants to be," Rose replied as she opened one of her bags and began to unpack it.

                "But you're not interested?"

                Rose glanced at Magdalene for a moment. "It's not that I don't like him. I've just known him all my life. He's Sonnie. He's my best friend." She shrugged as she put her clothes away in the dresser in the closet. "Do you have a boyfriend?"

                Magdalene laughed. "No, no," she huffed before jumping off the bed. "I was home schooled...this entire experience is a bit outside my comfort zone."

                Rose stopped and looked at Magdalene with sharp, intense blue eyes. "Mine too," she agreed. "I went to public school, but my family is so close I'm not thrilled about being away from them. "

                "It's not bad to break out, get your own space," Magdalene said. "Gives you a chance to be free."

                Rose shrugged. "You don't know anyone else here?"

                "Some family friends," Magdalene shook her head. "But you're the first person I met."

                "Your parents left already?"

                "No," Magdalene hesitated. "They didn't drop me off. A family friend did."

                Rose nodded as she studied Magdalene with those intense eyes again. Magdalene frowned slightly; she wasn't sure why Rose was staring at her so intently. Perhaps to sense if she were a vampire? Magdalene was not sure if anyone would be able to tell that she was a half bred. Vampires could smell the witch blood in her, but Roman was the first witch she had close contact with. He seemed to know who she was despite never meeting. Magdalene wasn't sure if a witch would be able to sense that she was a vampire.

                "My dad isn't very active in my life," Rose said softly once she turned away from Magdalene. "He's the one who wanted me to go away to school. He and my mom are divorced…he doesn't really like my mom's family and how close we all are. He thinks it's unnatural…"

                "My mom died in labor with me," Magdalene said bluntly. "And my father..." She hesitated. "He just died a little bit ago."

                "I'm sorry," Rose said flabbergasted. She tucked her pretty blonde hair behind her ear. "I don't know what else to say…I'm sorry…"

                Magdalene shrugged before turning away. "The world is a better place without him honestly."

                Rose didn't know what to say to the comment. Magdalene frowned. "I like your tattoo," she said trying to change the subject. "What does it mean?"

                "Luck," Rose said instantly. "The three dots represent the luck I've already used, that's why three of the leaves are just outlined."

                "How much luck could you have used already?" Magdalene smirked.

                "A lot," Rose said with a heavy sigh which caused Magdalene to look at her with raised eyebrows. Before anything else could be said, there was a knock on the door. 

"Come in!" Rose shouted from where she was unpacking.

                The door opened to reveal Cassandra Morrison. Magdalene was relieved to see a familiar face.

                "Hi Cassie," Magdalene said.

                "Hey," she said coming into the room.

                "This is my roommate Rose," Magdalene motioned to Rose who was standing up staring at Cassandra closely. The two seemed to take each other in before extending their hands to each other in greeting.

                "Rose Blake?" Cassandra said.

                Rose frowned but nodded. "What gave me away?"

                "Rumor was that the youngest Blake witch was coming to Harper's this year," Cassandra said once she closed the door. Rose glanced at Magdalene.

                "You're a witch?"

                "Half of one," Magdalene said honestly. "My dad wasn't interested in me being a witch…pretty much beat it out of me."

                Rose frowned and nodded. "My dad wasn't keen on me being one either."

                "I'm Cassandra Morrison," Cassandra said.

                "Fire Stone Clan?"

                "Not yet," Cassandra shook her head. "No clan. Can't decide what is right for me."

                Rose nodded. "The Morrison line has deep heritage in that clan. I imagine it would be difficult to break from it."

                "Not as difficult as one would think," Cassandra responded with lowered eyebrows. "Magdalene, I came to see if you wanted to come to the WAH meet and greet?"

                "Sure," Magdalene said.

                "My friends are waiting down out front," Cassandra pointed to the window.

                "Alright, I just want to change my clothes. I'll meet you down there."

                Cassandra nodded. "Alright." She glanced at Rose. "See you."

                Rose nodded her head, but said nothing. Cassandra exited the room as Magdalene moved to the closet to pull out a deep royal blue knit sweater. She pulled off her shirt with her back to Rose, who gasped slightly. Magdalene frowned and quickly pulled her sweater over her body. She hadn't thought about her scars all over her body from her father's abuse.

                "Magdalene—I didn't mean—," Rose said quickly. "I'm sorry."

                "It's alright," Magdalene said as she turned, pushing up the sleeve of her sweater to look at the crude designs on her arm. Markus' normal form of abuse was to cut detailed shapes all over Magdalene's body with a thin knife. Maybe he thought he could bleed the magic out of her. There were swirls, meaningless designs, and works of art all over her back, arms and torso. They looked like tattoos in white ink.

"I'm pretty used to people seeing them and having that reaction," she said softly before pulling the sleeve of her sweater down. "Or  thinking I did it myself…"

"Did he do that to you?"

"My father?"

Rose nodded her head.

"Yes," Magdalene responded. "He wasn't the best father."

"Doesn't look like he was one at all."

"He could have killed me," Magdalene said mildly. "At least this way I lived."

Rose nodded her head as she studied Magdalene with crystal blue eyes. She was trying to read Magdalene. To figure out how strong of a witch she was? To see her past? Who knew…

"You're very brave," she finally whispered.

Magdalene looked out the window of the dorm with a slight frown. She didn't believe she was brave, just too numb to feel anything. Being brave had nothing to do with her survival. She had killed her Father of out hatred; there was nothing brave about murder. And there was nothing brave about praying that Markus would lose his control one day and instead of hurting her he'd put her out of her misery, killing her.

"Do you want to come with us to the meet and greet?" Magdalene asked turning back to Rose.

"Do you think Cassandra will mind?"

Magdalene shrugged. "I don't see why she would."

"Alright," Rose said grabbing a denim jacket from her clothes she had unpacked.

"Your family is well known?"

"Yea…my mother is Rosalyn Blake, head of the Clover Leaf Clan."

"So that stuff about your tattoo was just bullshit?"

Rose smiled. "No," she replied. "Not completely…I really am running out of luck."

Magdalene nodded with a smile as they left the dorm and Rose pulled her jacket on. She wondered what exactly Rose meant by that. As a young witch, how many bad experiences could she have in her past that made her think her luck was running out? Although, as a member of one of the most powerful and dangerous hunting clans, Magdalene realized that Rose had probably seen a lot of trauma through her life so far. Being away at Harper's may be the first time she lived an almost normal life, just like Magdalene.

Magdalene Markus is no ordinary witch. A half breed vampire, Magdalene had a difficult childhood in her father’s home Palazzo il Bicchiere. He loathed her witch half and never let her forget it. She escapes her childhood home and enters the witch world eager to leave her past behind. But as her new life presents adventure, friends and love, she learns that keeping the secrets of her past is more difficult than planned.

Magdalene found herself in a great deal of debt to Roman Morrison. He had given her a chance to live happily, begin a new education, not just as a witch but as a functional adult in society. He located her almost immediately upon her escape from the Glass Castle. He said he knew her mother and was from the same clan as her. Magdalene did not trust him initially, but he wasn't a vampire, so it was a little easier to trust him than anyone else she had ever met in her life. 

He facilitated her entry into Harper's University. She had been homeschooled by a private tutor as a child, but was not used to formal institutionalized learning. Roman recommended attending Harper's University because many witch clans sent their college age students there. There was a high probability that Magdalene would meet other witches her own age there. Also, Roman's niece, Cassandra, was in her second year at the school and would be able to keep an eye on Magdalene.

 It had taken sometime for Magdalene to convince her newly found guardian that she could reside on campus at Harper's University without his supervision. The biggest issue was how she could secretly receive blood without anyone discovering she was a half bred vampire. While there was a large population of secret witches on campus, there were no vampires, and even amongst witch clans Magdalene would be seen as a dangerous half breed. Magdalene didn't want anyone to find out her "condition," but she was confident that she would be able to manage her disease on her own. 

Cassandra helped her case when she told Roman that one of her friends, Nathan, was studying at Harper's in the residential nursing program and had a job at the campus clinic. He was also a witch and would be able to facilitate Magdalene coming to the clinic daily for blood infusions. Roman was hesitant until after he met Nathan. He seemed to agree that it was an alright plan, but he was still nervous.

"Ready, kid?"

Magdalene glanced to her left. Roman stepped up next to her holding a laundry basket of household supplies. He was a tall man, about six two, with broad shoulders and a muscular build. He was clean shaven with light brown hair that was long, giving him a shaggy appearance. There were flex of gray woven into his brown locks. Roman had stunning pale blue eyes that pierced the soul whenever they looked at someone. His skin was dark, tanned from the summer sun, but showed signs of age. Magdalene could only guess his age of about forty. She assumed as he knew her mother that he was about her age.

Magdalene nodded her head with confidence as the crosswalk light switched to green. She had been ready to be on her own for a long time. Roman led the way across the street to the dormitory. Magdalene followed closely, unsure of where she was going. Someone opened the door for them as they entered the building. Roman seemed to know where he was going because he made his way through the lobby, pass the front desk and down a long hall with dormitory doors on either side. At the end of the hall was an elevator. Magdalene pushed the button for Roman as his hands were full.

They didn't say anything to each other on the elevator. When they arrived on the third floor, Roman stepped out first, again as if he knew where he was going. Magdalene followed and took in her surroundings with ease. She noticed every detail of her environment, from the torn yellowing carpet in the hall, to the broken brass number seven on one of the doors as they passed.

The hall was crowded with people; college students moving in, socializing and parents saying good bye to their children. Dorm room doors were open, welcoming people to come in and make friends. Magdalene kept her head down as her eyes wandered. As excited as she was to be out of the Glass Castle, she wasn't sure if she was excited to have friends and meet new people. Her anxiety started to rise; what if they asked about her past or her scars? Would they believe that she was abused, that she didn't hurt herself? How was she going to make friends if she had to start out by keeping secrets?

"Magdalene?"

She looked up at Roman who had stopped outside of room number twenty four. Magdalene stepped forward with her keys in hand. She unlocked and pushed open the door. Roman moved into the room first with her basket of belongings. The room was empty with the exception of two bunk bed frames, mattresses and matching wood desks. Magdalene smiled slightly, it was simplistic compared to the lavish lifestyle she lived with her father, but she loved it.

Roman set the laundry basket down on one of the desks and began to unpack it. There were sheets, comforter and pillow in the basket along with cleaning supplies. Magdalene opened one of the closet doors and found a dresser. She began to unpack the limited clothes she had with her. Once her belongings were organized Roman stood before her with his hands in his pockets to say good bye.

"Do you want me to wait until your roommate gets here?"

"I'll be able to tell if they're a witch or not," Magdalene said easily.

"You have the cell phone I gave you?"

Magdalene pulled it from the back pocket of her jeans and held it up to show him.

"You get into any shit, I'm always your first call," he said.

She rolled her eyes but smiled at him. 

"Alright," she nodded. She glanced at him reluctantly.

"What is it?"

"I just…well, thank you, for everything."

"You've thanked me more in the last two weeks we've known each other than my ex wife ever did over the course of ten years of marriage," Roman laughed. He cupped Magdalene's cheek while beaming at her. "You're everything your mother hoped for. She'd be very proud of you."

Magdalene nodded her head, but looked uncomfortable.

"I hope so," she whispered. "I'll see ya?"

"Be good," Roman nodded before kissing her forehead and walking out of the dorm room. He left the door open. Magdalene stood in the doorframe watching him walk down the hall back towards the elevator. She crossed her arms over her chest and took a slow breath to steady herself. She watched as people moved by her in the hall, wondering who was going to be her roommate?

She turned and retreated into the dorm. In her backpack, she pulled out a book Roman had given her about the history of the witch clans in the Midwest. She climbed up onto the bunk bed she had made for herself and opened the book to the marked page she had left off on.

"Hey, here it is!" shouted a voice. "Room twenty four. I didn't see the number because the door is open."

Magdalene had only been reading for a few minutes when a young man stopped in her doorframe with a box in his hands. He was looking down the hall, shouting at someone. After a moment, he turned into the room and put the box on the spare desk.

"Hey," he said to Magdalene who rolled onto her side to see who was walking into her room. "I'm Sonnie." 

He held out his hand to Magdalene who shook it from her position on the bed. His name was appropriate for his appearance. He was tall, muscular, well tanned and had sunshine blonde hair that fell all the way to his shoulders. His eyes were dark hazelnut brown. He was wearing a loose fitting white tee shirt and board shorts.

"Magdalene," she said introducing herself.
Behind Sonnie, a bombshell blond walked in carrying three or four bags on her arms. She walked two steps into the room and dropped the bags to the floor.

"Thanks for the help," she said to Sonnie.

"I was carrying the box!"

Magdalene sat up on her bed. This had to be her roommate.

"Hi," the young woman said as she stepped over her bags towards the bunk bed. "I'm Rose."

"Magdalene, nice to meet you."

She took the woman in for a moment. She was tall, skinny and had a thin but beautiful face. Her pin straight blond hair fell all the way down to her lower back. As she lifted her hand to tuck her hair behind her ear, Magdalene noticed a small four leaf clover tattoo on her wrist. Only one leaf of the clover was shaded in, the rest were just outlined. There were three small dots in a straight line below it moving towards her palm.

Rose was a witch.

Magdalene could tell because of the tattoo. The clover represented the clan she was a member of and the three dots were her rank. Magdalene was surprised that she already had three dots, it meant that she was a member of the clan for her entire life. Magdalene had not met many witches, but from what she had read the highest rank within American clans was five. It was usually reserved for clan or family leaders. If Rose was ranked third in her clan at the young age of eighteen, she must be a descendent of the clan leader.

Her suspicions were confirmed when she expanded her mind into the room and felt Rose's aura, which was bright and happy. Rose herself was anxious; she felt overwhelmed by being away from home and was not looking forward to having a roommate that she didn't know.

 Empathy was one of the few vampiric powers Magdalene had inherited from her father. She learned over many years in her father's house to control and manage the power. If she didn't, she would feel everyone's emotions at the same time—walking into a crowded room could be debilitating because she would be overwhelmed with everyone's emotions. Empathy was one of the more difficult physical powers because it required so much control.

Magdalene bit her bottom lip. She wasn't sure how she felt about Rose. She felt guilty reading the girl's feelings, but she had to confirm if she was a witch or not. Sonnie was also a witch based on his aura and emotions. Magdalene did not see a clan tattoo on Sonnie though. Either a tattoo wasn't visible or he did not have any clan affiliation yet, which wasn't unheard of.

                "Well, I'm going to head down to my dorm," Sonnie said awkwardly. "I'll see you later, Rose. Magdalene, it was nice to meet you."

                "Same to you," Magdalene said with a nod.

                "I'll find you for dinner," Rose said to Sonnie with a smile. He nodded his head before leaving the room. He closed the door to room twenty four behind him. Rose turned to Magdalene.

                "Is he your boyfriend?" Magdalene asked in an attempt to make small talk.

                "He wants to be," Rose replied as she opened one of her bags and began to unpack it.

                "But you're not interested?"

Third person POV

As the group of kids walked up the steps of the grand castle, a witch dressed in green robes called to a few of them, four students broke of from the group and walked towards her along with all of the first years, they all listened as she said that they would be sorted shortly and that they were to wait here. Then she walked of, a few moments later, four ghosts floated through the wall, chatting, they introduced them selves as 'the Bloody Baron', 'the Grey lady' , 'the Fat Friar' and 'Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington'.

The ghosts stopped dead when they laid eyes on one of the four older children. He was a short boy with black hair and dark brown eyes, he was wearing the usual school robes and he was twisting a skull ring on his fore-finger, he seemed to radiate a fear. Overall, he looked like the type of person you didn't want as an enemy. The ghosts moved back a bit as he stepped forwards, the he said something in a different language and they all said things like 'so sorry my lord' and 'we shall leave my king' and left as quickly as they could. The other older students stared at this strange boy in dismay, and almost as soon as the first years realized what had happened, the green clothed witch came back into the room and led them to a grand hall. The students in the hall were quiet as the witch led the first years into the room, and even as she lined them up and brought out a hat and a stool, then, to the new kids obvious surprise, the hat started to sing!

"In times of old when I was new
And Hogwarts barely started
The founders of our noble school
Thought never to be parted:
United by a common goal,
They had the selfsame yearning,
To make the world's best magic school
And pass along their learning.
"Together we will build and teach!"
The four good friends decided

All of the new students stared at the hat in amazement whilst the older kids and teachers clapped loudly. Then the green robed witch stood up and called for silence, she pulled out a list of names and started to call of names, she finally got to the exchange students.

"Di Angelo, Nico!" she called out.

The strange boy who had talked to the ghosts stood up nervously and sat down on the stool as the witch put the hat on his head.

Nico POV

Everyone on the Gryffindor table jumped up and cheered, a similar reaction came from the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw tables. Chapter 11: The Witch House
The house stood alone as it slept in the embrace of a constant shadow, the moats, and sliver of lights kept reaching but the house kept hiding away. And so was its windows which stayed silent aside from the flickering light coming from within. A candle it seems, shone, the rippling flame flickering, enough to show the dust trails and uncanny webs owning the house.
Gulp.
"Is this really the place?" I won't lie. I also feel scared. A witch may be cooking humans. Hoho, my imagination is really running wild. I do my best with logic but ever since I arrived in this world... screw logic!
Nevertheless, it's now or never for me. With light-footed steps, I went nearer as a moth attracted to the flame. I thought I was brave enough, until…
"Nuhhh! Hmnff. Argghhh." The echoes felt familiar, the titters of a gagged mouth. A chill stabbed my heart. It sounded like it was continuously struck by a sledgehammer. I looked around and saw the thick dust and webs, it was the sign of the olden years. Not even a week of scrubbing and cleaning could shovel this piece of sh*t, oh sorry for the word, I mean dirt. Ah, can I run?
"No, I'm already here." Both curiosity and hunger grasp the best of me. I was like an ever-so-curious feline falling for a catnip.
I circled and saw an open window, flickering lights coming from within. I want to take a peek. I never felt so curious in my life. Is this the effect of my transmigration and getting a younger body? If I was still the same Leonora as before, I surmised that I'm already a few kilometers away from this spooky place.
It's now or never. Steps mum, breathing silent, I raised my head to get a little look. Only a tiny whinny.
"Ah, this thrill and excitement are like when I tried bungee jumping." I licked my lips and took the peek. The first thing I saw the flickering red candle, the flames dancing along with the light wind whisper from the window. On the side, a gigantic cooking pot akin to a witch cauldron stood, the bubbling scent coming from it. My eyes shone for a moment before dimming again. I slowly lifted a chin to get a better look.

I hid back again, I raised my two hands and put it above my head. "What the hell did I just see?"
Three men hanging upside down, their two legs tied with vines. No shirt, only a type of loincloth hiding their extremities. All three of them shivering, gagged, and exposed to the cold air. I gently put my palm on my face, the frown on my face crafting new mountains and valleys. "These idiots."
Should I save these three stooges? They had saved me after all. I took another peek, but this time, another eye met mine. I almost thought it would pop out when he saw me. I lifted my one finger to my lips. It was Eyad - the praying wizard.
"Hmmffd, Fmdmasda, Fsahdh."
This stupid pig brain. You dare sell your teammate! Stay still or this auntie shall slay your dying nuts. My eyes grew three sizes as I made eye signals. This stupid guy. I thought he was smart after doing some pyro-sorcery. But oh hell, I am dead wrong.
Whack.
"Arhhhhhhh."
"What are you getting so jumpy at Eyad?!" An icy voice of a lady drifted into the dusty witch house. I can only see her back, a broom, or wand laying on her small hands. It's a broom I bet. A sacrifice, a broom, plus a cauldron. I also saw the eyelids of the other two men twitching as if they were the ones who suffered the blow. It looks like they haven't seen me yet.
I winced, my face crumpling like never before. Such cruelty. I want to pray for Eyad despite his act of betrayal. After all, his nuts got busted by some staff or whatnot. Eyad was squeezing the balls between his legs, pain crumpling his face like an old toilet paper. The blacks of his eyes almost flipping onto the other side, wanting to see what was in the back of his white eye. This guy must be praying now. Go and wish that your poor boys are still alive. Your future generations are at stake.
Anyway, serves you right, poor guy. You almost sold me there.
Pui!
Now, should I save them or not? I'm in a big doubt here!
I don't even know if I can even help them. The three mercs are powerful people based on what I know and experienced. Yet, they still ended up tied, gagged, and played by the witch. Maybe, I should hit the road and escape.
"Umu. This is a difficult decision."
I love to take another peek to give the other two a signal. Ready to take another risk, I gulped and shed a brave face. My heartbeats speeding with no red light holding it back. Turtle-paced, I took the chance, peering into the corner of the candlelit window. I held my breath. The chilly wind blowing into my back as creeping shivers struck into my thoughts. "Now or never!"
Eyad seemed to have lost all signs of consciousness. Sympathies to the poor wizard. I put my hands together and added a prayer. Shifting my gaze towards the other side, I saw Aron and Andre still shaking after witnessing the merciless deed. Not that I care much.
I caught sight of the witch, I can see an old book sleeping on her right. A cute plushie doll laying on a small table on her left. "That must be her voodoo doll making my heart almost miss a bit. "Damn, so cute! This world's witches are so unique. I like it!"
"Time to put the effort." I lifted my head, good enough for the other two to see me. I waved, lightly swaying it like a leaf against the wind. I must catch their attention. "Ah, it looks like they managed to see me."
I raised a finger to my lips. Please, don't be like Eyad. I thought.
Aron and Andre's eyes widened like saucers. Yes, same as the probable new eunuch, Eyad. I wonder if they will also try to sel-"
"Hmmmgff."
"Hmmngdgggggghgh"
"..."
A chilly voice passed through my ears, "What? You want some walking too?" The icy voice returned. But this time, far chillier than before.
Then, the two stopped. I want to learn that too.
I saw the two gazing at me as if they're pleading for me to save them. "Wew. I know, I know."
I gazed at the two and smiled, raising a thumbs up. But not so fast. My warm grin fell, turning into a scowl, my thumps up flipping down. "Not after you tried to give me away again."
This aunt can only be betrayed once. I give no second chances for traitors! If you can troll, so do I!
"Hmmfff! Hmnffhhh!" The stooges' face dropped, realizing that I was about to make my great escape. The two shook their whole body, trying to break the vines grappling them as they uttered nonsense through their gags. Hey, the struggle is real.
"Shut up! You fools want to be like Eyad?!"
Aron and Andre threw a glance at me, sending obvious signals to the witch." Hmnff. Hmff."
"Fine!"
Whack. Whack…
"Ughhh."
"Awuhhhhhhh."
Such a cursed witch! Showing no mercy to the eggs.
Thus, I, Leonora, now Victoria, turned my back. With an iron conviction, I ran. I shall dedicate my escape to you, my brave friends. The faces of the three when they got whacked flashed, the image burnt into my neurons. I shall never forget your betrayal and sacrifice!
That's what you get when you play with this lady. The last laugh shall be mine. Muahahaha. Wait? Why am I acting like a kid? Anyway, who cares!
But before I could even run back into the dark forest...
Plop. Splash.
My dirty dress got splashed with water. Why is there a small stream here? I glanced back at the witch house, wishing that the splashes I made were not heard. Please ignore me, Miss Witch.
"Who's there!"
I froze, along with my luck. I lifted my ragged dress, trying to move away from the darn watery pond. "Stupid dress! So heavy!"
"Show yourself!" I saw the blots of golden light flying out of the witch cottage. They looked like butterflies, pretty. But it's not the right time to do some sightseeing. Running away is my current priority.
Damn, this aunty got to think! Think! I need a plan. Oh, I know.
"Meow?"
"..."
"A cat? But no cat lives in the dead forest! No use in fooling me you damn assassin!"
Of course, that's not going to work! I lifted my heavy skirt, dragging it like a wet carpet. The plan is to escape back to the dark creepy forest. Who cares about food? I can't save the fools once I'm caught.
Grrr…
Okay, my stomach is as guilty as ever. Ignore that I said anything. Ignore!
I raced back into the dark forest, a pack of hungry golden butterflies trailing behind like wolves. I'm scared! Sarcasm intended!
The patches of dark swaying bushes inviting me to come inside. The scent of dirt and poo raising a soulful call. The dark forest devoid of light wishing for my presence. Hey, hey, hey, ain't this forest much scarier compared to this witch territory?
My 200-hundred meter sprint became a jog, then became a walk, and I metamorphose into a slug. "Do I really have to get back there?"
I turned my head and saw the beautiful butterflies following me. As compared to this bleak forest, I will rather be spirited away by these beauties. They appeared like Blue Morpho butterflies I saw in Central and South America. Not blue but gold. Shall I call them, 'Shiny Gold Morpho Butterflies?'
Heck, what's happening to me?! Why do I feel so muddled? Did someone drug me? Who? The doggo tree?
Cough. Cough.
"Huh?"
I glanced at my hand which I used to cover my mouth. What's this sticky thing? The golden butterflies flew over my head, letting me have a good view. "Blood!?"
Arghh.
A stinging headache buzzed my brain. "Ah, I want to puke."
Swaying left and right, I can sense that I am losing my balance. "...What's this?"
Thud.
Blood, goo, and saliva dripped out of my snout and mouth. My blurry eyes caught a glimpse of a staff aimed at my face. My thoughts drift into the dark, to the abyss I go.. "Am I going to die?"
"You… wait? P-Princess? I-is that you. I should..."

The Witch hunter felt a warm presence, he opened his eyes and saw his beautiful witch. She changed him, everything he felt was real. She didn't need to put a spell on him. Everything he did for her was real and he loved it. His weak hand caressed her cheek and wiped away her tears. The hunter knew what she was thinking and he shook his head; declining her thoughts.

The witch broke down and lay her head on his chest sobbing. She had to find a way: he couldn't just dissapear when she just found him.The garden weeped once more as they felt her pain and sorrow. the hunter coughed, his blood painted the blades of grass around him. She had to act quick before it was too late. She put a hand over his wound and chanted a healing spell. The witch hunter grabbed her hand and smiled, pulled her down and kissed her soft lips. She knew what he wanted. She saw it play in her head,it broke her heart, shattered her world but it was the right thing to do. She barely nodded after the kiss was broken.

The hunter gave her his sword. The witch cried but she knew her witch hunter was brave, smart and despite his past, kind. He pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. His last breath was silent, his hand fell away from her face. The life that once occupied his beautiful eyes no longer lived. Her body shook violently, mixed emotions stir in the pit of her stomach, a loud wave of blue Aura burst through the forest. The cries of the witch was heard from a far.

The white roses wrapped the hunters body forming a thick wall of thorns. It would protect him forever. The white roses turn red from the hunters blood. The garden now belonged to him.
