Mangkukulam or bruha (from Spanish: bruja, "witch") are witches, wizards, bruho (Spanish:brujo, "wizard, male witch"), or sorcerers who cast evil spells to humans. This bewitcher is also called manggagaway.[4] The Mangkukulam uses dark magic.

The difference between a mambabarang and a mangkukulam is that the mambabarang uses magical insects to bring harm to his victims. These insects are released after incantations, when they will search for their supposed victim and burrow under the skin, impregnating her. Other terms are the Spanish brujo and bruja (masculine and feminine forms of "witch"; Filipinized as bruho and bruha). The verb kulamin (/koo-LAH-min/) means "to bless or hex", while a curse is called a sumpâ (/soom-PA/), which can also be translated as a "vow" or "oath". The Mangkukulam may use a voodoo doll and a needle to cast spells on people they want to revenge on, but largely use natural magic and superstitions similar to an Albularyo, or witch doctor. Both can be considered witches, but the main difference is that the Albularyo is more of a doctor who heals people, while a Mangkukulam is a malevolent person who tricks and curses others.

To date, there have been no media, research, or claims that "good mangkukulam" exist, so it is fair to assume that the mangkukulam is the "bad witch" of Philippine witchcraft.

When they finished, Bart picked Adil Toma, Fad Arian, and Rosita to be his slave mongers on the boat. The other traffickers of human flesh remained on the island to continue their loathsome craft, except Jeff Logan. He returned to the warehouse in South Lorain a day later. Bart plotted a course south, to Paradise Island, just north of New Providence Island, collectively known as the Bahamas. That is a twelve-hour trip, and Bart made sure that his slavers filled both tanks to the rim. He also carried four cans of gasoline that he stored on the back deck, hidden from view, just in case the Coast Guard might be checking on them. However, the Sea Witch could outrun the Coast Guard with her powerful twin engines. Fortunately, the weather cooperated on this day. If it hadn’t been a beautiful day, Bart would have waited. Dolphins joined them on their trip, but after a few playful minutes, they headed in another direction. After four hours into the journey, Adil fed the slaves, and both slave mongers took the females, one after the other, to the head. They complained about their inhumane treatment dealing with their bodily functions as well as their new status, headed for a life of slavery. 

 “We have no privacy. And where the hell are you taking us?” said Molly Hoover, defiantly. 

 “You will see when you get there.” Bart called Adil, “Come to the bridge.” Adil went to the bridge, “What’s up?” 

 “I need a break, and I need to eat something. Take the helm for a while. The heading is 152.7 degrees.” 

 “Right.” Adil liked steering the Sea Witch. He turned on the radio and listened to contemporary music. The cruiser plowed through the slowly rolling waves, and occasionally a gust of saltwater reached the bridge. After Adil wiped his face with a towel, he smiled and kept going. Adil checked his watch; they traveled nearly for twelve hours. The slaver let go of the steering wheel and looked ahead with his binoculars. In the far distance, he saw the lighthouse on the west end of Paradise Island. In the meantime, Bart returned to the bridge and kept Adil company. Now Bart looked through the binoculars and said, “When we get to our destination, it will be dark, and I prefer that.” Later Bart took over the helm. He entered the channel south of Paradise Island and slowly weaved through various obstacles. Then Adil turned to port and entered the marina where he usually docked. When he saw a large, two-story villa, he turned toward its dock. It was far in the interior, near the end of the channel, conveniently isolated. Sergio Mendes, a Spanish slave trader, owned the multi-million-dollar villa. Bart docked the cruiser, and Sergio met him, “How was the trip, Bart?” 

 “Today, fortunately, boring. I have five prospects in chains. They were a stubborn bunch.” 

 “Let’s take them in.” 

 “Right.” With the help of Adil and Fad, Bart moved the females one by one to the basement dormitory of the villa. Maria Andino, a strong, Spanish woman took over downstairs. She is the head trainer to get the females ready for the slavery trade. 

 “Take off your clothes, take a shower, and put on a robe. Down here, you won’t need clothing. Get with it, or I’m going to use my whip on you.” Maria also had her steel chains and bracelets ready, just in case one or more of the slaves will get out of line. 

 “I suggest that you eat and go to sleep because tomorrow we will start your training, and Rosita will be in charge.” 

 “What kind of training?” said Molly. 

 “You will find out tomorrow. And since you are so god damned curious, I think that I will start with you.”

After my Fire Cracker adventure, I was approached by a man. This man was named, Juan. He had travelled from Spain. His brother, Jose, had been kidnapped by a Witch! The witch had taken him because he had disrespected her. She kept him inside a tower where he would rot unless he learned his lesson!  
 
I packed my bags and was ready to leave for SPAIN!! Me and Juan talked while we were on the boat. 
"So, Juan, what did your brother do to disrespect the witch?" 
"Bueno, ya ves que no le daría a la dama, Juan Sheet ¡Sólo estoy bromeando contigo! Ella quería pasar la noche a causa de la lluvia, ¡pero él se negó a tener una anciana dentro de su casa lujuriosa! Entonces, ella lo maldijo a su torre!" 
"Ahhh, I see!" I replied, finding his joke not that funny! 
 
We arrived at his home which was a beautiful Sandstone house! Inside was his wife, Juanita, and his 2 children, Margarita and Robert. They were all sad that there Uncle had been taken from them.  
 
"��Saldremos al amanecer mañana! Ella vive en los Campos del Sur, ¡tomaremos un grupo de 15 para matar a la bruja!"  
"Yes, we will travel swiftly! If we don't stop her, she will continue to imprison anyone else" 
 
The next day, me and Juan, went to gather our troops to fight against the WITCH! We travelled south for hours, but when we got to the tower we were ambushed by Pixies! They ran straight at us with blood thirsty teeth and red eyes! We heard screaming as the Pixies grasped there teeth into our frontline warriors! They weren't normally evil like that, but something was making them turn evil! We tried to progress without killing them, but some still died being flicked away by a powerful force!  
 
After are short meeting with the Pixies, most warriors were groaning from the bites. We had to push through, we scrambled up the stairs to confront the witch!  
 
"Hello There," I said 
"Explorer Geoffry," The shrivelled witch replied, "You are a bold one!" 
Me and Juan could both understand her, she was talking to us through Spanish and English! Behind her was Juan's Brother, Jose.  
"I am Innis, the Witch Of Transco! Your brother will stay here to rot and so will use!"  
"No Innis, te equivocas! ¡Te quedarás aquí para pudrirte por miles de años!" 
She floated in the air and a ring of fire surrounded us, 2 warriors got caught in the blaze and burned to ashes! She summoned skeletons to remove us, but we were true warriors and successfully stopped them! I threw my sword at Innis, she dodged, it hit the chains of Jose and knocked him down.  
"No! He may be free, but you are not!" She cackled! She lifted her hand and our remaining warriors began to be choked! I looked up in terror as our warriors slowly stopped breathing! They were squirming in her grasp. There was nothing we could do to stop her! She was to powerful for us!  
"Hermano, sé lo que tengo que hacer, ¡pero no sé si tengo la fuerza para dejarte ir!" 
"Hermano, estará bien. ¡Tendremos el recuerdo de ti en nuestras mentes, corazones y almas!" 
I had no idea what they said, but it became clear when Jose grabbed a potion and a sword! He poured the liquid onto the sword combining poison with metal! He ran and jumped, sword ready and stabbed the witch through her chest! The witch quaked and began to crumble, she then exploded into a ball of light!  
"Geoffry! We meet again! You seem to be good at defeating my creations!"  
"Tell me! Who am I?" 
"You will find out very soon!" 
"Who are you?" 
"I am Proxima Ren! A dark enchanter who has come to put you to your end!"  
Then the light disappeared!  
"Hermano! ¡Eras un valiente soldado hoy, has sacrificado tu vida por el futuro de nuestro pueblo y reino!" Juan said 
"Gracias her-" He then closed his eyes and let go of Juans hand. We had earned a great victory, but at a terrible price!  
 
I left Spain with more questions and a slight feeling of failure, but I had escaped! Which would then lead me on to my next journey!

Geoffry Gold is an adventurer, he helps those that come to him. When an enemy tells him he's not who he is, he tries to find out who he really is.

Noticing Sato's silence, and rather impatient at this point, Mrs. Bly in a forced tone of voice said, "You have yet to voice your opinion, Sato. What do you have to say on the subject?" The board members turn their heads towards the solemn wizard including Lucius Malfoy.
"A great warrior of my land, Miyamoto Musashi once said, 'Observation and perception are two separate things; the eye that observes is stronger, the eye that perceives is weak," Izuki Sato soberly said with a slightly accented voice. "If we see only the surface then Mrs. Bly exerts beyond her means to ensure perfection, but if we see past, we see that Mrs. Bly has muddled the waters until not even the depths of the river can be seen."
Izuki Sato paused as he raised his gaze to meet the board members. "I say that it is far better to see the depth of the river than not to see through the murky river waters at all."
"There we have at," Lucius Malfoy said with a smug expression. "All those in favor of the immediate removal of Mrs. Bly from the Board, please raise your hands?"
Instantly all hands go up as all board members jump on deck except for Mrs. Bly, and Garrick Arnold. "It is a majority vote against two," Lucius announced with a cold smile of personal satisfaction. "We thank Mrs. Bly for her many years of service, but you are dismissed from your post effective immediately with all rights revoked in correlation to the board. Mrs. Bly shakes with fury and narrows her eyes dangerously. "You will all live to regret this, mark my words," she viciously threatened, before grabbing her cloak from her seat and storming out of the chamber. The door loudly slams shut behind her leaving the board members staring at each other in surprise.
Who would have ever thought the well-composed witch could ever comport herself in such a manner?! They must have been wrong about her character all these years. And like Sato had said, they were not truly seeing that which was before them, but merely looking.
After a brief momentary lapse of silence, Lucius interrupts the board members' contemplations and says, "Well, now that has been taken care of, we should discuss the appointment of a new board member in Mrs. Bly's place. I would like to appoint Secundus Wilkes to the position."
"It would seem that the Chairman has been planning this for some time," Garrick Arnold darkly grumbled but quiets down at not seeing any of the board members protest at the nomination.
"Secundus Wilkes, you say?" Leif Amundsen muttered out loud. "Yes, a pureblood, but more of a moderate. And though his firstborn son, S.R. Wilkes was caught up in all the treacherous fiasco-." He paused and sent Chairman Malfoy an assessing glance.
Lucius caught Leif Amundsen's glance as his icy, blue eyes remain calm as he says, "Secundus Wilkes was much as a victim as my own father was of his son's duplicity. And for that same reason alone, he will work all the harder for it." (That and it would redeem the Wilkes family honor and allow them to rejoin polite wizarding society again. Which in other words meant that they would Lucius Malfoy a favor to be called in at any time. He wasn't that charitable.)
Leif Amundsen slowly nods his head as Maxwell Zheng says, "If that is indeed the case, Secundus will be an excellent addition to the board. He is a member of the 28 sacred families, and more importantly a true friend of the Potion Master Damocles Belby. It will be an excellent political move as well and gain the board far more sponsors and parents in our favor."
The board members chime in agreement one by one until Lucius calls for a vote. The vote is unanimous, and says, "As such, Secundus Wilkes will formally be instated as a board member at our next meeting. Now moving onto the next pressing piece of business, I am certain that we all received this morning's letter stating that Professor Zephyros has mid-term abandoned his post of Divination from the Headmaster of Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledore."
There is a grimace on several faces as Lucius Malfoy's upper lip curls up with a bit of a sneer. "Considering that the term has already begun, it will be very difficult to find a replacement. Might I suggest that the archaic class be removed from the Hogwarts curriculum as it does not seem to serve any purpose to the students beyond a waste of their time?"
Several board members seem to be in agreement by the expressions on their faces, but Francesca interrupts, "Mm, be as that may be, it is still a tradition. And there are those who consider Divination to be a true art form, Chairman Malfoy. There are those that can truly see, and it is for those alone that we ought to keep the subject open for."
Izuki Sato nods his head in agreement as did Frederick Livingstone, and Garrick Arnold. These three wizards did not usually agree, but occasionally they did. For tradition was an important subject to them and if it could be preserved by them, they would elect to do so.
Seeing the board so equally divided on the subject, Lucius Malfoy says, "Seeing as we are equally divided, we shall proceed in this manner. The Headmaster of Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledore has until the start of December to find a replacement before the start of the Winter Holidays. If a professor cannot be found, then Divination will remain as a subject at Hogwarts. However, if Professor Dumbledore cannot, then we shall take it as Fate has spoken, and the class shall be removed. Are we all in agreement?"
The board members unanimously voice their agreement as Lucius Malfoy makes note of it, before proceeding onto the next subject of discussion, Muggle Sports. With bit his lips slightly curled, he says, "It has come to our attention that the children of the Quattor Academies participate in recess and a muggle class termed PHYSICAL EDUCATION."
The board members murmur to each other with some concentration. Ever since, the subject of Physical Education had been introduced to the children at the Quattor Academies more than just the squibs, muquibs, but other wizarding children were intrigued by said games. Even the purebloods, who were a bit dubious at first quickly approved at seeing their more wild, unruly children become far less energetic and far more obedient upon returning home after wasting their energy at school. As such, some parents especially the parents of strenuous children already at Hogwarts were clamoring for similar clubs or even a once-a-week class to be held for all students to throw their energy into.
"With that being said parents and other patrons of Hogwarts wish for a similar class to be implemented at Hogwarts for all students at least thrice a week for first and second years, and twice a week for third years and fourth years with the class becoming an optional requisite 5th years and above," Lucius Malfoy grumbled. "I must admit I don't understand half of the games nor muggle sports that the parents are writing about especially called Footie or FOOT-BALL. What is that? A murderous muggle sport where one uses a cadaver's foot to play some sort of twisted muggle game?!"
The pretty Spanish descended witch, Francesca lets out a giggle, before covering her mouth to hide her laughter. With an impishly gleam in her eyes, she good-natured says, "No, Chairman that is not what the game entails. Rather it is called Football or Footie for short because it is a game where solely feet are used to kick and score with a quaffle-like ball. The usage of either hands or arms is absolutely forbidden except for that of the goalie."
"How utterly barbaric!" Lucius grumbled looking slightly intrigued. "So how does one go about scoring in such a game. And what is this GOL-EE that you speak of?"
"Well, a goalie is the Keeper for the match," Francesca explained as understanding falls upon the members of the board including Lucius. Soon, the Spanish descended witch launches into a passionate explanation describing the many astounding merits of Football, (aka Soccer). By the end of her passionate speech, even Lucius seems to be more than interested in the muggle game.
"You mean to say that these muggles hold a World Cup for FOOT-BALL too?" Frederick Livingstone asked in disbelief with his bushy brows arched high.
"That is correct," Francesca explained. "Just like in the Wizarding World every four years." She was a half-blood and her father; a Spanish Muggle had loved the sport to death. As a child and during the summer holidays when they returned to Spain, they regularly attended the matches of Real Madrid and Barcelona as her father was from Barcelona. Even now a great rivalry existed between the two teams and she was proud to wear the colors of their team, blue and marron!
"Goodness me, it would seem that they hold some measure of common sense after all," Frederick Livingstone murmured with great astonishment as other board members in agreement. It would seem that the muggles were not as savage as in the past but actually bore some semblance of a proper society.
The board members feeling more at ease with the subject delve further into the discussion and after some time finally, come to an agreement that such an idea would not be a terrible implementation. They would need time to hire a new professor, a muquib or squib to teach Physical Education and find a class schedule that would work for every single grade year, but the plan would be feasible for the start of the next school year in the Fall. It was a slow process, but the wizarding world was slowly, but surely changing for the better.

A war will shake the world soon. Many will suffer, and countless lives will be lost. Some people found this prediction inaccurate, but it alarmed world leaders.
It was Juliana's first encounter with negative criticisms of her reading. She was annoyed with the comments and worried about the World Leaders Association. The association's reputation has been ugly since misunderstandings and hatred from its members started.
Juliana is on her way to the association office in Manhattan to join the meeting. For her, it's just an ordinary session with the members, but this time she will surely need her wide range of skillset.
Arriving at the office building makes her feel nervous, and anxiety plunges her. On her way to the meeting room, she suddenly stops and looks outside from the window. Protesters outside caught her attention. Their placards read as No To Fortune Telling! No To Black Magic! She ignores, then continues for the meeting room.
Shouts and loud pissed voices echoed outside the meeting room's door. A cold freezing wind blows as Juliana, the youngest and wisest fortune teller in the world enters. Signs of relief shows on the members' faces as they see Juliana. She sat on an empty chair at the back corner of the two-door meeting room, then silence.
"You people are hopeless." She greets the members with a depressing tone.
"So what exactly is your suggestion? For this situation, you've caused." The American President asks in a mannered way.
"This was triggered by that witch! Do you think she can fix this? The Spanish Prime Minister insists.
Doubt shows on the US Pres. co-members' faces. Everyone seems unable to express it in words. Juliana notices it, then stands up and brushes her long silver hair with her fingers. Everyone immediately turns to her.
"Do you know Parthenia?" She starts.
"This is not a mythology class!" The Spanish PM interrupts.
Juliana starts to get annoyed. She pulls her strawberry lollipop and points it to him. Her cheeks turn red as she frowns.
"Let me finish first!" She shouts at him like a kid who lost her teddy bear.
Everyone is shocked and tries to hold their laugh. Juliana's childlike attitude was exposed. She behaves then clears her throat to hide her feeling of embarrassment.
"This sounds impossible, but it's the only way I can think of." She glances at the Spanish PM.
The leaders seem bothered, but at the same time, curious.
"My fountain of knowledge suggests a battle royal." Juliana sighs and starts to walk around the room in a clockwise pattern.
"Unfamiliar chaos is neverending for decades in Parthenia. I believe the determination of humans may overcome or worse fall for it. " She stops beside the US Pres, unwraps her lollipop, then starts to enjoy it.
"This process will reflect your standing during the war."
Everyone is startled. Excitement with anxiety filled the room.
"What will you need? Wait! Impossible!" The US Pres. turns to her in shock and amazement.
"Pick your representative to participate. Then I'll be back next week, and I look forward to seeing them." Juliana walks towards the door then looks back one last time.
"This will only be applicable for ages 18 to 22. Remember, pick randomly." The cold feeling in the room disappears as she leaves.
She stops at the window once again and looks outside. Her icy blue eyes stare angrily to the protester's placards. She snaps her fingers, then suddenly, a fire starts burning them. Immediately a big commotion afflicted outside the association office building.
