The original book of "A diary of a Wimpy Kid".

On the third day of the Lunar New Year, there was knocking on the door. Someone came to pay a new year visit! The one that came was no stranger, but in fact it was his mother's second brother, He Guo Fu. This time, his uncle came with his whole family. They carried a lot of things in their hands.
"Hello bro, you're home as well!" He Guo Fu's son, He Hai Tao, had wide eyes upon seeing Chen Jin, who opened the door. He gave him a smile from ear to ear. He looked up to Chen Jin as his idol. After entering the house, he whispered in Chen Jin's ear, "Bro, you are my idol now!"
Two days ago, when he visited his grandparent's house, He Hai Tao had already met his cousin. However, he was almost squeezed to death. A bunch of wimpy kids surrounded Chen Jin, asking for autographs, photos, and red packets. Their piercing screams made those who were unaware think that it was a fan meeting of some international artist.
Of course, He Hai Tao got himself an autograph, and he was the first one to get it! An autograph of the future billionaire and the boss of a tech giant, how many people would become envious of it? He Hai Tao kept his autograph in a dignified manner. He thought that the autograph would be worth millions and even become a precious relic, and so he vowed to pass it down to his descendants. He Hai Tao did not realize that his screams and shouts that day were on par with those wimpy kids.
During the new year's visit at the He family, the family that enjoyed the limelight was naturally He Li's family. They became the spotlight in the He family. Chen Jin's grandfather, He Chang Hou, was smiling widely. He dragged Chen Jin to sit beside him. He received a mysterious gift from Chen Jin and after he was told about its features, he was stunned. Tears rolled down from his aged face. "This is hope for the rise of our country!"
Chen Jin said, " Waigong, you must live until a hundred years old and witness the Z nation's era of might and prosperity."
"Good, good!" his grandfather told him.
Aunt He Jia, who was always in the spotlight in the past, was cast aside and became literally transparent this year. She kept quiet as she listened to her elder sister sharing her parenting experience; the melancholy in her heart shadowed her spirit.
There was other good news, however. Uncle He Guo Qiang was promoted as the vice-mayor of Su Hing city! He was taking the wheel in building the second large-scale foundry in the industrial park under his administration. He found billions of investments in just a shor ttime, and so he was valued by his superiors because of his excellent performance.
Because of this, He Guo Qiang's face was beaming with pride. Even the volume he spoke at became significantly louder. The vexation between his eyebrows also vanished. He pulled Chen Jin to a corner in private and said, "Chen Jin, on that matter… thanks to you, really." He felt relieved being able to enter the municipal party committee before he turned 50, as it meant that his future in politics was cinched.
Chen Jin smiled lightly.

Inside the house, He Li took the things from her brother's hands. "Just coming is enough, why are you bringing so many things?" she asked, a weird expression on her face.
"Sis, these things are all special products, you can't find them on the market. It took Man Hong lots of effort to get these." He Guo Fu looked at his wife and winked.
Lu Man Hong got his hint, andwith a broad smile, she said, "Sis, all of these things aren't worth a lot, but they are very effective in facial nourishment and enriching the blood."
He Li glanced at her and nodded. "That's very considerate of you."
Lu Man Hong instantly felt relieved.

In the afternoon, He Li and Lu Man Hong joined forces in the kitchen. Lunch was very sumptuous, with duck, fish, and seafood dishes covering the entire dining table. The dishes were scrumptious.
He Guo Fu finally brought up his other motive for this new year visit. "Jin, why don't you give me the intellectual property for the 'Wa-wah Robot' series, my company's film-making department can definitely make a better sequel!"
Lu Man Hong could not hold herself back and said, "That's right Jin, keep the goodies within the family, your uncle's company has produced eight tv series and five movies within the past few years. His company signed more than 80 artists and has an experienced production team. So, why don't you give the IP for 'Wa-wah robot' to your uncle?"
Erm…
Chen Jin began mulling as his eyebrows tightened.
"What's the issue, Jin, do you feel conflicted? Actually, there is no need to feel conflicted, changing partners is normal. If you feel uneasy telling your current partner, I can do it for you," said He Guo Fu.
Lu Man Hong added, "Business partnership is just like this, the only thing to consider is who will be more suitable, and not partnership history. Your uncle will be the best fit for this."
"He's not!" Chen Jin shook his head vigorously. "Uncle, I can't give you the IP for 'Wa-wah robot,' I'm not at ease giving it to you, so… I'm very sorry."
He Guo Fu was stunned by his straightforward rejection. Not being able to adjust to the situation, he said with a smear of emotion, "Why? Jin, don't you remember how much I doted on you when youweare still a kid? I was reluctant to spend half of my monthly salary just to buy you the transformer set you loved. Did you forget?"
"Uncle, of course I remember how well you treated me, but don't you have self-consciousness on your company's movie production qualities?" Chen Jin shook his head. "That movie that was quite popular on the internet recently, 'Mainland Assault,' was your company's production, am I correct? What do you think about its quality? Commander-level characters being unable to catch up to mere fighters, plus they're on horses as well. Tell me, can you even bear to watch a film like this? Uncle, the brand image of the Wa-wah robot is very important, its brand value far exceeds a billion-dollar box office. I can't let the Wa-wah Robot's brand value plummet just for some movie tickets." Sorry was all he could say.
He Hai Tao also mocked his father, "Dad, just let your company work on ads and forget about making films! 'Mainland Assault' was such an incredible novel, and yet your film adaptation made so many changes to it, when people asked me about it, I just felt like digging a hole and hide inside… dad, you are seriously not meant for this."
Lu Man Hong gave him a fierce stare. Who mocks his own father like that? When we go back I'll teach you a lesson.
"Ahem ahem..." He Guo Fu coughed continuously. The emotion that resided within him instantly faded. It was replaced by immense awkwardness. He realized that he was unable to counter what Chen Jin had said. His son's mockery made his face red, and he was unable to spout any words.
To console his uncle, Chen Jin said, "Uncle, you can invest in Wa-wah Robot's sequel, or send some technical staff over and join Shi Xiaotao's team to let them learn about movie production."
He Guo Fu's eyes brightened. "Sure, I'll invest! 300 million! I want to invest 300 million!"
"I can't have a say on this, it depends on whether Shi Xiaotao allows it or not; the most I can assure you is 100 million." Now, Shi Xiaotao became the most sought-after movie director within the country. In addition to her owning the intellectual property for 'Wa-wah Robot,' many investors were striving to give her money. She was not worried at all about funding. On the other hand, she had to worry about offending others if she were to reject their investments. I'm afraid that Shi Xiaotao won't be elated with uncle's 300 million investment, she might feel difficult instead.
"Alright, I'll invest 100 million for now! If I can add on in the future, do inform me right away Jin!"
"No problem."
...
After the new year's visit. Downstairs. Lu Man Hong quickly held and pinched He Hai Tao's ears. "You b*****d, who talks about their father like that? Your father and I wasted our doting on you!"
"Ahhhh it hurts, sorry mom, sorry, I was wrong!" He Hai Tao begged his mother for mercy.
"Is it really true… I'm not meant for movie-making?" He Guo Fu, on the other hand, looked like he had taken a beating on the inside, falling into a state of self-doubt.


Through a mysterious portal, Chen Jin arrived at this strange place - a post-apocalyptic world where civilization had been destroyed. 

Consequently, he found -

A piece of metal scrap
A robot trash collector
A battleground
A city
A ton and more of gold
A copy of high-tech documents
A...
In short, Chen Jin found a planet.

-Ding Dong!- The bell on Mrs Edison's apartment rang on a very early Monday morning. 

Mrs Edison whose cooking was interrupted by the sound of the bell, An agile looking lady who probably was on a fitness program, she has had to step up ever since her husband passed away years ago when Neon was still a kid, he was shot while trying to stop a shoplifter from robbing a supermart, if only he had just stayed put Mrs Edison always thought, and she could see a lot of Tom her husband on Neon, and this scares her. 

 She has brought Neon up in the best way she could playing both parental roles and tugging it with her job as a nurse at the lightville memorial hospital. 

"Hold on a minute," she said while walking over to open the door.

Standing at the other side of the door was  Max, a 15years old wimpy  looking boy with glasses, Max A.K.A Maximus Prime of the autobot Spartans, at least that's what he calls himself, you could already guess his favorite movie, Transformers, he could go on and on about the movie even to the  unreleased of the franchise, he has multiple collections of the autobots. 

This was probably one of the reasons that might have prompted his love for machines, at age 7 he built his first mini-bot that works from scrap.

"Good morning Mrs Edison," Max said politely after Mrs Edison opened the door.

"Hey max, how are you today?," she asked replying the gesture. 

"Well am am as good and fit as bumble bee ready to take on the decepticons," he replied with a reference from one of his favorite scene in the transformer movie. 

"Oh!, good for you," Miss Edison said with a confused face, "I'll go get Neon," she suggested, already knowing why max was here very early on a Monday morning. 

Max and Neon have been best friends since they were kids, he's practically family now, and they've usually gone to school together, as Max's home is just down at the end of the street. 

"Neon?, Neon?, Max is here," Mrs Edison called out glancing up the stair case leading up to the other floor in the house where Neon's room is located. 

-Thud!- A loud thud is heard above the ceiling coming from Neon's room. 

"Ouchh! ," Neon could be heard groaning, "coming!,"Neon shouted from his bedroom. 

Shortly after, Neon came running down the stairs, halfway down the stairs  he jumped over the remaining stairs and landed safely, he had a smile on his face like he was feeling a sense of accomplishment.

"What was that noise," his mother asked worriedly, over the years Neon has always been someone who gets in a lot of trouble , he does crazy stuffs without thinking about the consequences, there's always this confidence on him everytime to dare the impossible. 

"Oh, nothing serious, morning practice," Neon replied trying to convince his mom. 

"You're gonna get yourself really hurt someday if u keep this up," she said with a stern look.

"Don't worry mom, I gat this," Neon said convincingly while he touched her gently on her shoulder, "Am almost late for class, see you later," he added as he headed towards the door. 

"I'll probably have a night shift again today, so don't wait up," his mom said. 

"You okay," Neon who knew his mom had been working a lot lately trying to make ends meet asked with a worried tone. 

"Yeah, am fine, just take care of yourself," she replied trying to hide her fatigue, she would hate for Neon to start worrying about her, right now all she wants to do is to protect her son, he's all she has left. 

"Okay, bye mom," Neon said as he walked out. 

"Bye Mrs Edison," Max who was in the sideline throughout the convo said, as he heads out with Neon. 

On their way to the bus station.

Neon staring at max with a glimpse of excitement in his eyes,"so did you get it," he asked. 

Max looking confused, not sure of what he was talking about, "Uhmm, get what," he asked in reply. 

"The device, dummy," Neon replied with an impatient look on his face.

"Oh yeah, you bet I did," Max said suddenly remembering what Neon was talking about, he opened his bag slightly to show Neon a glimpse of the device, it was a special kind of machine component that Max spent the whole weekend searching for in the entire town, he and Neon has been gathering different parts over the years together, and he finally got the last piece.

"Huh, is that it," Neon asked, a bit disappointed, "I thought it would be bigger."

"No, this is definitely it, now i can finally complete my MAX-O-Tron 2000," Max said excitedly. 

"Sweet, can't wait," Neon said, as they both took a bus to lightville high.

After the event of an asteroid falling to the earth that brought an unknown element with enormous amount of power 

Neon Edison, a carefree teenage boy from lightville whose fate became tangled with this unknown element must now shoulder a responsibility to stop those who seek to use it for evil

Can he shoulder this responsibility?, with his new found powers 

Will he and his friends be able to avert this threat facing his town and the world?

     I'm going to the university of my choice! yeah its weird that i'm all excited about that but leaving to a new country A-L-O-N-E.

      I'm not planning on doing anything wrong or bad but I would have my own space! A girl needs much of that you know.

       Also its my second time on a plane,my first was when I was three when my mom moved to South Africa after my dad left us.

I am the only child of Elle Dave once married to Simon downs,I think it would have been really cool if my mom decided to give me her name instead,It would have been Riele Dave pretty cool huh?

   
    "Grrr grr grrrg"

My phone rang abruptly stopping my train of thought.

      
    "Hey mom"I hollered

  "Riele!"she screeched,I snickered knowing exactly what this was about.

   
    "If you dare laugh again I swear I'm going to slap the shit out of you" she screamed,causing my ear drums to literally play a beat.

    
    "I am sorry okay, since I won't be able to prank you from Canada I just decided to do my last performance and I'm sure you enjoyed it" I gave myself a satisfied smile.

     "I would get you back" she said with darkness in her tone which made me shiver for a second, "God! how am I going to go to work with my hair having an orange colour  Riele,if I weren't your mother I should have killed you right now" she screeched again.

     "Well since it's orange I think anyone that ask you questions tell them you're modeling for fanta"i snickered.

     "Riele?"she said way too calm.

  "Yeah" I answered.

"First of all there would be no allowance for you and second I hate you" she cut off the phone.

    I certainly know she doesn't hate me but there was no joke in the allowance part,ughhhh it was remaining just one day  for me to receive it why couldn't she wait thing the next'I grumbled' knowing fully well that I'm going to be broke for the next one month.

     Well,how would I describe Riele down "my humble self" if someone should ask?

          A black beautiful damsel 'give me some break a girl should praise herself a little',I have a huge black curly hair that I have never bordered to straighten,not even once ,dark Sparkling black eyes that would light up your day,I'm size 10 .'I took my boxes and headed to the check out session'.

A crazy fellow I met once outside a theater said if you are starting a new journey its advisable you start with a journal .I still don't get the difference between a journal and a Dairy, for me they are just one big book where you put a lot of your crappiest,happiest or perverseness nonsense inside that people might not care about or way too offensive for people to see.

I watched a movie "Dairy of a wimpy kid" damn loved that movie although other movies came into consideration, well like Greg i am going to start my own journal.

Not right now though,I can't write with two boxes and a bag in both of my hands in Canadian airport.

Just as I was about to check out some lunatic bumped into me and everything I mean everything!!! I was holding were currently on the pure white tiles.

The rage burning inside of me can make my head explode right now.

I caught a glimpse of the guy who did it,although he was wearing a cap and his hoodie up,like he didn't want to be seen I could tell he was damn handsome 'it's after-all rare to see a man with heavenly physique and squashed face.'

Stop thinking about that idiot!he did this to your things without an apology!.

Okay FYI I have personality issues yeah, real issues I talk to myself too much that I have a name for each personality.

Amy and rieya

Amy is the gentle type the 'CCC',cool calm and collected,but you see rieya don't you dare go near that beast!!

"Hold it right there you dick
Didn't your mama teach you no fucking manners!!!!"I screamed although he wasn't faraway from me.

"Speaking of manners I think i am not the one currently in need of it."he answered while taking a step closer to me.

"Try not to be implicit,say it directly to my face you goat."

"Oh,I meant you lack manners,is that explicit enough?"

Oh no,this motherfucker didn't just go there.
 
Before i could rethink where i was at,i was already flying in the air ready to attack ,just before my  hand could collide with his annoying face,a man in his mid forties came up.

"Is there any problem ma'am"he asked.

"Yes" I answered with the idiot backing it up with a "No"

"No?no?are you for real,such a coward"i spar.

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience ma'am,sir, he bowed to both of us."

 He helped me pick my things while I joined him,he finished,got up and left.

"You lucky she helped me with that or I swear you would have been in my bags instead of my things!!" I turned to look at the coward but he was no longer there.

"Great!,I just threatened myself"

      
      I  was about to pick my bag and walk away when a picture that fell from my bag cut  my eyes,I picked it up and a smile crept is way up to my face it was so wide that my mouth could tear but that smile was immediately replaced with sadness and regret.

"Do you really need to do this? Like, is it now an essential part of your life?" Rick asked as they walked.

"I thought we've been through this, she's not going to get that hurt, just a little bit" Keith said and turned now to face Rick. "I don't even think she'll be hurt at all, she was really fiesty the other day".

"Just chill Rick, I promise this will not end terribly for you, maybe only the both of us" Max encouraged as he put an arm over his shoulder.

"You know that there's no way you guys will do something without getting me involved, or is that possible?" Rick asked back.

"Of course it is, we weren't born together, Fredrick" Keith said as he laughed.

"You're both gonna regret this, I swear" Rick said as he watched them go ahead of him and followed closely behind. 

"Any updates on that Maddie girl?" Keith asked Max. 

"Found some other information that you might find useful" 

"Give it to me" He commanded. 

"She loves reading, especially books by Jeff Kinney, she plays episode and always has lunch on Saturdays with Beth Crane" Max stated. 

"This won't be hard at all, figuring I do dabble in the wimpy kid series here and there" Keith smiled and said. 

"I'm warning you for the last time, you will hate how this is gonna end up" Rick said again and this time he left. 

IN ALGEBRA CLASS... 

Maddie took her seat and waited for the teacher to come in, Keith walked in and she sighted a diary of a wimpy kid book in his hands along with an algebra textbook and notes. She was stunned by the fact that he read the wimpy kid series, she was a little bit embarrassed to confess her love for the books in public, mainly because in high school no one reads literature. Even if they did, it would be Shakespeare or Jane Austen.

(No offence Jeff Kinney; I love The Wimpy Kid series😍)

"Is this seat open?" He asked pointing to the seat beside her. 

"No, I mean yes" She managed. 

The mere thought of Keith sitting next to her, made her shiver and it took the grace of God to look at him when he asked for an eraser. 

He said a full sentence...to my face! She thought and celebrated within her soul. 

The class went on and she couldn't concentrate while he stared at her and she too would stare sometimes. 

"Do you get it? I don't get any of it" Keith said in regard to the topic being taught. She felt glad and explained it all to him. "Thanks" He mouthed and she smiled in response. 

"Oh, by the way, you have really pretty eyes" He added. 

She blushed a little and replied "Thanks". 

She came out the class and met Beth waiting. 

"What was that all about?" Beth asked. 

"What?" 

"The smiles and stares between you and Mr hotshot over there" she replied pointing to Keith. He turned and saw them, waved a little and proceeded to leave. 

"Go say something to him" Beth said and pushed her again. She panicked and called out his name and when he turned she was dumbfounded. She quickly thought of what to say and she recalled she had seen his notebook earlier and it read: Keith E.C. Song. 

She blurted. "What's the C in your name for?". 

He faced her and smiled. "Confidential" He replied, shrugged and left. 

"Stupid, stupid, stupid girl, what's up with you Maddie?" She asked herself. 

"Yeah, you are really stupid" Beth encouraged. 

"Thanks alot bestie". 

... 
"We need to have a long hard talk about this, Keith" Rick said. 

"What is it?" 

"I'm not comfortable with the idea of you guys hurting an innocent girl" 

"Oh God, this again?" Keith asked. 

"Yes, this again" Rick said slamming the table. 

"You've never had a problem with it before, why now?" Keith asked. 

"She's never had a boyfriend and is probably hoping that she'll get one that actually makes sense and not some random selfish guy she doesn't really know but has a tiny meaningless crush on!" Rick yelled. 

"Language Rick, watch it" 

"I'm not gonna watch anything, just leave her alone and try this on someone with heartbreak experience, if you don't stop, I'm gonna tell her the idiot you really are!" Rick yelled again and this time received a punch from Keith. 

He wiped us cheek and continued talking. 

"I'm definitely going to tell her now" He assured. 

"Think about the consequences of your actions, you twat! Don't let me hate you, you of all people should know what happens to those I hate" Keith warned. 

"Don't push this farther than it can go and let that girl be!" Rick stood and left. 

... 

"Hey, what's up? Why are you here without notice?" Randy asked the woman standing at the door. 

"I really needed to talk about his college fund, our son?" She said. 

"You should have thought about that before taking reckless and foolish decisions!" 

"I've explained that I didn't do anything, why don't you believe me?" 

"That aside, I'm going to open an account for him and place the college money there, I'll open it in your name, so you can access it whenever you need to" He said and was about to close the door when she spoke again.

"How's your health?" She asked. 

"None of your business" and he slammed the door shut at her face. 

With tears in her eyes, she went to her car and sat in there. She poured out everything inside her and started the car. 

"Hold it in, Louise, hold it in" She encouraged herself and drove off. 

Randy stood at the window and watched her leave, he felt somehow sorry for her and the pain she went through after their last encounter, he pushed aside those feelings of pity and went in the house. 

He really liked to pity her but the feelings of hate crushed every kind of pity he had for her.

[Adrian's POV]
Adrian chew the cold chicken meat and forced it down to his throat along with the feeling of unappreciated effort. Johan was right, though. It didn't taste bad, but he was sure it didn't taste better than the take-out food from his ex-boyfriend.
Johan sat like an expressionless statue beside him, only showing the tiniest smile when he's scrolling through his phone, or when he's putting food in his mouth, savoring the flavored rice as if it's some heaven-scent meal, while the portion of home-cooked meal he'd give him left barely touched. Putting down his utensils, Johan turned to him. "What?"
"Nothing, Han," Adrian said, going back to his own food. It felt like they're back to the first month of knowing each other. He used to admire every little reaction he would catch from the mysterious man's face. But after learning the reason of his fond looks and smiles, it no longer brought butterflies in his stomach. Instead, he felt a painful lash of jealousy across his chest, knowing Johan wasn't smiling because of him.
"Don't compare yourself to Alden."
Adrian jolted in shock. "I-I wasn't."
"It's written all over your face."
"... I'm not."
Johan sighed and scooped a spoonful of flavored rice and meat, then turned to him. "Ah. Open your mouth and have a taste."
Surprised eyes flickered around them before Adrian settled his gaze to the raised spoon in front of him. Hesistantly, he opened his mouth and Johan shoved the food inside. Flavors exploded in his mouth, and as much as he despised the Chef, he had to admit it tasted delicious.
"Tasty, right?" Johan said. "Every time I eat foods Alden prepared, I feel like he's shredding my clothes like in the one particular ecchi anime about food. But that's just me."
Adrian didn't know if he should reply or flip the table at that statement.
"Again, don't compare yourself to him," Johan continued, diffusing Adrian's intent to wreck havoc in the pantry area. "Admittedly, his cooking tastes better than yours, but Alden is a professional Chef. It's absurd to compare yourself to someone who spent years to hone his cooking skills to the point he would go on weeks without talking to me."
His shoulders slumped down, back resting against the metal chair as his insecurity slowly melting at Johan's words. Adrian sighed. "You're right, Han. Sorry. It just... It just made me feel insignificant compared to him because I can't cook."
"Who asked you to cook, anyway?" Johan grumbled, poking at a piece of carrot. "I can cook my own food just fine."
Adrian hung his head down, his voice dropping into a whisper. "I just want you to see I'm making an effort. I told you I'm going to court you, but you don't seem to appreciate what I'm doing."
"It's not that I don't appreciate it. I'm just not a fan of courtship." Johan finished the last of his lunch and put the takeout box inside the plastic bag. "It may work with girls but not with me."
"Then, what do you want me to do?"
"I can see that you are putting your best foot forward, but that's exactly why I don't like it. You're just doing it to impress me, not because it's what you truly are." A sad smile crossed Johan's lips. "But I guess that sounds hypocritical of me since I'm scared to show you who I really am."
Bewilderment pushed his eyebrows together, and Adrian rushed putting his lunch box inside the bag as Johan walked away from their table an into the men's washroom. "Han, wait! I don't understand."
Johan dumped the plastic bag in a trashcan inside the washroom then fished out a small pouch oh hygienic kit from his brown crossbody bag. "If you don't understand, then let's just be friends. No expectations. No pretensions. Just us being ourselves through ups and downs."
Adrian became more confused with Johan's words, but he couldn't ask further questions as the other started brushing his teeth. He sighed and pulled the new toothbrush he bought, accepting the toothpaste from Johan. The one he's using at work was still at Rhia's locker. "But Han. I want to be more than just friends."
Silence met him, with only the sound of brush bristles against teeth and the few people inside doing their business. Johan's intense stare bouced at him through his reflection on the mirror, sending shivers beneath his clothes, until he ducked to the sink and rinsed his mouth with running water.
"I'll be on the last cubicle then," Johan said and walked passed him, disappearing inside the furthest stall. Did he just invite him, or was he only informing where he'd go?
Adrian blinked, spat the minty froth in his mouth, then gurgled. With hesitant steps, he followed and stopped in front of the closed door. He tapped with his knuckles and called. "Han?"
The white door creaked ominously. He glanced to the washroom's main door as the last person inside stepped out. If he didn't see Johan entered the stall earlier, with the burnt out light above him, Adrian would assume he's in a horror movie. He moved his gaze back to the stall, and yelped as a hand shot out, dragging him inside.
"Han--!"
"More than friends, huh?" Johan whispered to his lips, circling his arms around his neck. "You have two options; be my best friend, or be my fuck buddy. The former is an empty slot, but I don't mind if you choose the latter."
 "What do you--!"
"It's simple, really. If you choose the fist one, we can get to know each other more trasparently, hang out, have fun, but we can't have sex unless we fall in love." Johan pulled him closer, their breath mingling together. "But if you choose the second, we can go back to how we are and have sex all we want. You can have a girlfriend, I wouldn't mind. But if I get boyfriend every sexual thing we do stop."
"Can I choose to be your lover instead, Han?" Adrian breathed, hands gravitating towards Johan's hips. Their proximity sent his body ablaze that he couldn't help but press their crotch together. "I want to know you more, make love with you, and I don't want you to have any other boyfriend than me."
Johan backed away until he hit the toilet tank and sat. "Not a part of the option. You think you can be my lover with how pathetic you're acting these days? One more push and I'm sure you're gonna cry like a wimpy kid in a craddle, waiting for his mommy to pick him up."
"Who are you calling a wimpy kid, Han?" Adrian stepped closer, one foot above the toilet lid. Somehow, the taunting smirk on Johan's face infuriated him. He leaned in and pressed his forearm on the wall above Johan's head. "I'm taller than you."
"Yeah, so?" Johan challenged, crossing his arms. "I can still wipe the floor with your ass."
"Can't deny that." Adrian put his hand back to Johan's hip. "But I can still make you scream my name with my dick inside your ass."
The smirk widened and Johan uncrossed his arms to run a hand to his stomach until he reached the growing lump in his dress pants. "So what's it gonna be?"
"Haaan." Adrian released a shaky sigh as Johan unzipped his fly and inserted a hand inside. Shit! He missed the feeling of those hands around him that his mind went blank. His head fell on Johan's shoulder, and Adrian had to bit his lip to suppress a groan as Johan caressed him inside his briefs.
"Can't decide?" Johan husked out to his ear. "This is what will happen if you let me take control. Get a hold of yourself, Adrian. I'm not Rhia. I will not treat you the same way she would when I'm mad. It will be worse."
Adrian pressed closer, his mouth latching to the exposed neck as Johan gave a squeeze. "My answer is still the same though. I want to be your lover, Han. That's what I want to be in your life."
Johan released his hold and took his out of his pants, pushing him away. "You can't just take the shortcut and be at the finish line when you've only started. There are still a lot of things you don't know about me, and like what I've told you before, you might no longer see me the same way once you find out. There are things that I do that might even repulse you."
Adrian heaved and trailed Johan's back as he unlocked the bathroom stall. He hurriedly adjusted his erection inside his pants and calmed his breathing. He almost forgot how much of tease he was. "Han--"
Johan raised a finger to silence him as he peeked to see if someone was in the bathroom other than the two of them. Then he gazed back at him with the same intense look he gave in the mirror. "If you still insist to play with me, that's fine. But be warned that if you can't take the heat, stepped out before it burns you."
His jaw slacked and Adrian opened his mouth to answer, but Johan already walked away, leaving him alone in the empty bathroom stall.

"Wait here." Yun Jinghan told her and scuttled away, leaving her near the array of chairs but instead of occupying an empty spot, she moved to the other side.  
With her eyes following where he headed to, Luo Jingyi breathed air out of her lungs. The last time she'd been to the cinema was four years ago. Remembering why she smiled at the memory.
When Yun Jinghan craned his neck to check on her, he saw that mesmerizing arc on her face. She was looking at his direction but obviously past him. Wondering what could she be thinking and smiling about, his eyebrows perked up.
"I hope it's not a man." He whispered under his breath.
After paying, he wrestled the snacks from the attendant who kept staring and winking at him, giving signals the moment he appeared at the counter. Thanking her, Yun Jinghan gave out his Colgate-smile. At an instant, the plastic cup she was holding dropped, its content pooling onto the floor.
"What are you doing?" The manager bellowed, embarrassing her. He turned to Yun Jinghan and apologized and prepared the drinks he wanted which Yun Jinghan grabbed, smirking at the same time.
Luo Jingyi who woke up from that trip down the memory lane saw all that happened and commented, "She's too naïve."
Maybe if she didn't experience heartbreak before, she might be affected by his charms. Because whether she admitted it or not, Yun Jinghan was really dashingly handsome.
"Especially when he smiles."
'Huh?' She was confused about why she suddenly voiced that out. Shoving it off somewhere to process later on, she made a comment when he neared. "That was intentional."

"What are we wat—" Luo Jingyi meant to ask but the corner of her eyes caught the movie poster at the door. He transferred the bucket of popcorn on her hand.
Yun Jinghan transferred the red and white striped box filled with popcorn - to her hand. Lifting the two tickets that Amy bought from his pocket, Yun Jinghan handed them to the staff. He originally meant to book the cinema just for the two of them but his assistant argued it would be a bad idea. According to Amy,  Miss Luo would find it altogether suspicious. Thus, he decided against it.
"Let's go." Touching her arm, he ushered her inside, briefly sensing her flinch at the contact before she distanced herself.
A female staff who couldn't stop glancing at them showed where their seats were.  Shaking her head, she mumbled. "Another one."
"What?" He returned in response to that strange look Luo Jingyi shot at him.
"Nothing."
Their seat was in the middle of the room. Luo Jingyi liked it because they were neither away from nor near to the screen and the speakers. Upon entry earlier, she noted that the room was half-filled with moviegoers of different age ranges.

Every minute that passed, irritation grew bit by bit on Yun Jinghan. Screams and gasps of horror wafted around them, intermingling with the sound effects of the movie booming on the speakers. Contrary to what Amy had sold him and what's happening around them, Luo Jingyi's attention on the screen never wavered. 
His eyes darted here and there and noticed that all females were clinging to their partner every time the scary part appeared.  And their partner would hug and console them.
But unlike them, Luo Jingyi was watching intently and unaffected.  There was no tugging of his hand or hugging him in fright as Amy supposed. She was genuinely enjoying the film.  
Yun Jinghan placed the popcorn on her lap to disrupt her but she returned it to him immediately. "You can have it."
With a petulant expression written all over him, Yun Jinghan scooped a handful and swallowed at once. Then he choked, coughing them out.
Luo Jingyi swiftly faced him, lifted the soda from the cup holder and gave it to him. One hand was already patting him on the back.
"Why are you eating them all at once? It's not like someone's going to snatch them from you." She scolded.
Seeing her softened expression, Yun Jinghan silently flushed down whatever annoyance that loomed in him early on by sipping the content of the cup. There was mirth in his eyes as Luo Jingyi continuously stroked his back while another hand was cleaning off the pieces that fell on his clothes. When her hand went down further and accidentally touched a certain part, he suddenly straightened, feeling electrocuted. 
Discomfiture inundated her. She felt embarrassed and she shied away, putting a great distance between them.  
Luo Jingyi was flustered. Seeing one in the hospital was different from touching it.  She fanned her face. 
'Wait a minute. Why am I embarrassed? It was an accident.' She recalled. Perhaps it was a ploy to make herself better. 
Amidst the noise around, an awkward silence ensued between them. It was Yun Jinghan who broke it out like nothing happened at all.
"Don't you feel scared?" He asked after perceiving she calmed and returned to her usual demeanor. She was back to watching.  
"No."
"Well, you see most people are frightened with horror films."
She gave him a thin smile. "I'm not most."
Yun Jinghan heard her stress on the last word. Slightly, he nodded repeatedly in agreement. "Yeah. You're different."
A thought vaguely passed her head so she retracted her gaze from the front. "Are you?"
"No!" His answer came quick and loud as if he didn't want to be branded as a wimpy kid.
"Don't worry. This movie's effect is really good but there's no such thing as ghosts. And even if they existed, humans are scarier. You should be more worried about the living who would stab you from the back."
Yun Jinghan grasped that the last sentence had double meaning but he let it go.
She suggested, "We can leave if you want."
"No. You like it so let's finish it to the end." He replied. His eyes flickered with a smile.  
'Yun Jinghan,  you are an idiot for acting childish.'
