The usual loud lobby of the blacksmith guild was drowned out by the overly loud sobs. Those inspecting weapons on the walls and racks returned the weapons back in the rightful places before turning to look at the source of the wailing. The guards in the blacksmith guild all grinned from ear to ear at the sight of Floyd crying because of what he has gone through the past few days. Now that Tagas has showed up, his life should go back to normal.  

A couple of days after Arbor told Floyd that he would be returning, Floyd's life went six feet under. Gorge started to torment Floyd verbally. When he would ask Gorge questions about forging or inscriptions, Gorge would explode and complain about how he let a protégé slip through their fingers without the slightest trace of where Tagas disappeared to. Other times Gorge would scream at Floyd from a different room and tell him that he is doing a worse job than someone without any cultivation, or that his next nine generations would be embarrassed that he calls himself a blacksmith. One time Gorge through his desk at Floyd as he was taking a step into his office. Gorge then berated Floyd over his shoulder as he made him rebuild it. 

"Tagas…you...you're alive." Floyd wiped away the running snot from under his nose, "You…(sniffle) have saved my life. (sniffle). I have missed you so much."

A sincere smile appeared on Arbors face, "Yup, I'm here in the flesh. Sorry that I took a little bit longer than initially expected. We ran into some unforeseen circumstances and had to take care of a problem. Well, the problem has been temporarily taken care of. Is it all right if my friend and I use a forge?" Arbor nodded his head towards Orion who was standing next to him. 

Orion attracted just as much attention from the crowd in the shop as Floyd's cheerful sobbing. Orion's sleeveless black and white constellation designed shirt showed the tattoos that cover his skin. Strange designs of shapes, lines, patterns, and runes cover his arms from his wrist all the way up to his shoulders and beyond under his shirt. People who have decorated their body in the fashion like Orion are all from an extremely distant village that is has no sense of how vast the realms are. 

The on lookers started to quietly discuss between one another about Orion and why someone from the barren lands would be in a place like this. The only reasonable explanation is that this scrawny teenager filled with tattoos is Arbors slave. This is a widespread practice in the larger cities because those from the barren lands have a low cultivation. Thus, they are seamlessly fit for simple, mindless, cumbersome, physical tasks and errands. 

"He's… your friend?" Floyd slowly asked with uncertainty. Orion noticed the new vibe in the atmosphere after Floyd inquired about their relationship. He stopped listening to the conversation between Arbor and Floyd and focused his attention to the murmurs in the lobby. The snippets of conversation Orion caught wind of caused him to excessively roll his eyes and shake his head. 

"To think that such a lowly and despicable practice as slavery actually happens in the realm. Although it does not surprise me that much as the people here do not know the immensity of cultivation and the heights it can take them to. It can't be much help that the essence is so thin down here that they don't have a chance to achieve those heights." Orion reasoned with himself. 

 "Yes, this is brother Orion. Why do you ask it like that?" Arbors furrowed his brows at Floyd's question.  

Orion coughed loudly before Floyd could respond. The rest of the chatter in the lobby stopped as Orion became the center of attention. "I would like to make it clear that I, Avea Orion, am slave no man or woman. If any of you have a problem with it, you can take it up with this guy." Orion grabbed the center of attention before quickly brushing it off onto Arbor whose face instantly became full of dread. 

Arbor grabbed Orion by the collar and dragged him towards the back area of the blacksmith guild. 

"I am unsure if he is actually a slave or not."

"Do you think that they are actually just brothers?"

"A slave would not dare to proclaim his freedom in front of his master like that."

Through the door to the back yard of the main building, ten stations for forging had been set up with all the required equipment. Off to one side of the courtyard is smaller building that functions as a classroom area. In the center of the courtyard is a much smaller building with only one door on it. The back of the structure rounded into the ground symbolizing that it is an entrance to a cellar of some type. Compared to the rest of the buildings that had slow, but steady, foot traffic, this one had none. 

Arbor asked Floyd about the underground entrance and learned that it leads to the vault where all the surplus crafting resources are. Its protected by layers of formations that were cast down by one of the elders in the guild from the guild headquarters. 

The three arrived at a one-story metal house in the back of the courtyard. This house is made from a dull ebon metal and has one door and a couple of windows. It is a simple hut, comparable to that of a straw hut in size. The roof is a partially slanted, shimmering, medium gray metal. Flord led the other two to the front door and knocked three times in succession before entering. 

"Senior Master," Before Floyd could get passed his greetings a double sided hammer whose head is the size of a watermelon came flying towards the front door. Floyd, who has become accustomed to the actions of his uncle by now, quickly side stepped as he watched the hammer create a tiny breeze as it passed him. His eyes bulged when he realized that he forgot to warn Tagas and Orion. 

The hammer stopped mid-air in the doorway. "Thanks for the warning Floyd." Tagas flipped the hammer over and caught its handle. 

"I...I am sorry." Floyd lowered his head, "I've become accustomed to it and forgot. I seek your forgiveness."

"Don't worry about it buddy, no one is perfect." Arbor patted Floyd on the shoulder with his free hand. 

"Is that the way you treat new members?" Arbor called out and returned the hammer with the same fashion that it greeted him with. 

Floyd knows the weight of the hammer all to personally. To him the hammer is an immovable object. An now Arbor just caught it with ease. His admiration of Arbor increased a couple of notches. 

Gorge stood up with gusto when he the familiar voice. He caught the hammer as if its weight is comparable to a feather. 

Floyd stood in the corner of the room like he does not belong, like a young child before its seniors. Arbor quickly introduced Orion to Gorge before recounting the story of the cave dweller and its master. He mentioned the mercenary guild and the organization the Chen Hong is apart of and how they might get involved and try to stop it. Upon hearing this Gorge insisted that Arbor need not to be worried as those two are both large enough and powerful enough to handle such a threat. 

After recounting the threat, Arbor got to the point of bringing Orion to the guild today. He is going to be crafting weapons everyday and plans on teaching Orion to forge and that he requests a private room. Without any hesitation, Gorge agreed under two condition. The first one is that the guild gets sixty percent of the profits from the weapons sold. The second is that Arbor has to help Floyd improve his craft. 

Arbor readily agreed to Gorge's two requests. Gorge soon lead Arbor, Orion, and Floyd to his personal forge in the cellar! He took out a basic looking bronze key and insert it into the hole. The key, the door, and the rest of the small structure lit up with runes. Gorge turned the key and opened the door. The four entered and went down a couple flights of stairs before entering the cellar. 

In the middle is a forge, smelter, and anvil. On one wall is a rack holding up all the required tools for forging. On the opposite of the forge from the rack are ten rows of shelving that are holding the metals and ores in possession of this branch of the Blacksmith guild. Gorge explained that the closer shelves are the more common types of ores and the further back they go, the rarer they are. 

Gorge soon left after explaining the details of what they could and could not use. Arbor reassured them that they will only be using the basic metals to forge. He then took the time to explain the essence of forging and why it is useful in everyday life. Floyd, someone who has already started on their path of forging, listening attentively to Arbor. After the first day Arbor acquired the same booklet of known metals for Orion to study and familiarize himself with. 

The entire first day, Professor Arbor lectured and answered any questions that either of the two have. The second day Arbor covered how to effectively smelt and various techniques used for the common metals. 

On the third day, Arbor demonstrated different techniques that are used depending on what final product is trying to be achieved. 

The beginning of the fourth day was the founding of a league of forgers that would go on to build some of the greatest and renowned in the divine realm. Obviously, these three have no idea what their future holds for them. 

Faster than the swing of a hammer, a couple of months have passed. Arbor finally started to make a little bit of money due to the auction house. When Orion and Floyd finally shown signs of being able to work on their own Arbor left the two to their own devices. With Orion's knowledge with runes and inscriptions combined with Floyds gift for forging, the two challenged each other's knowledge and imagination. 

Arbor made his way back to the herb shop, The Thousand Herb Garden. He did not dilly dally and bought the cheapest living and youngest herb that he could find. Unlike most people who would store the herb in a case, Arbor took the herb as is, dirt and all. Arbor stood in the center of the garden with his hands cupped around dirt. Arbor closed his eyes and focused all of his attention on the herb in his grasp. He injected his essence into the herb for half a minute before he opened his eyes.

Aya sat on the ocean-side balcony, her feet lifted up on the table, a glass of red wine in her hand. Despite it being nearly midnight, she wore nothing but shorts and a tank top, and she still felt hot. Lonely moon hung above as the sounds of ocean clashing against the cliffs echoed out into the night, with distant voice of a singer barely reaching her.

A few minutes later, she heard the doors to the room creak and open, and she glanced backwards. Tyson entered slowly, sighing in the process, as he locked the doors behind him. Spotting Aya, he nodded slightly before going over to a cupboard and taking out an entire bottle of gin, taking a glass, and joining Aya on the balcony.

"Did you finally develop a multi-personality disorder?" Aya asked, smirking.

"… I'm not looking to get drunk," Tyson said. "But so drunk I'd need twelve days just to sleep it off."

"So… where were you and Jared the whole day?" she asked coyly.

"You know damn well where we were," Tyson said. "Good god, the guy's like a fucking sixteen-year-old girl choosing a restaurant where her birthday will be held."

"… ah come on," Aya said, chuckling. "Give him some leeway. The dude's about to tie a knot for life. Of course he's excited."

"… doesn't it feel like everyone around us is just… growing the fuck up way too quickly?" Tyson said. "I mean, sis is just a few weeks away from birthing a freaking kid, those two idiots are getting married, and I heard that dean's nineteen-year-old daughter just had twins. Has the world gone mad?!"

"Eh, they just know what they want," Aya said. "Selena wanted family, Jared and Emma want the future together, and dean's daughter wanted a pill, probably. Besides, you probably know those two won't go past the Bachelor's, so it makes sense for them."

"… yeah," Tyson said, sighing as he gulped half the glass and poured another half immediately after. "Do you? I mean, know what you want?"

"… yeah, mostly," Aya said. "You don't?"

"… oh, fuck you. We're dating. You're supposed to reflect and embody my insecurities."

"Aren't we dating exactly because I don't?"

"… yeah, good point," Tyson said, smiling. "So you want to get married as well? Start a family?"

"Someday, sure," Aya said. "Just, please, don't go asking me to marry you because you felt inspired by Jared's choice."

"But I already sold my kidney and bought a ring!!" Tyson exclaimed. "You just shattered my wholesome! How can you live with yourself?!"

"What does it say about you that for a moment I thought you were serious?" Aya asked, smiling.

"… I'm, uh, too much of a sweet, loving romantic?"

"Yeah, no, haha," Aya laughed, throwing her head back slightly. "So, what place did he choose?"

"The pier," Tyson said. "During the sunset."

"Beautiful."

"Yeah, it was," he said, smiling lightly. "I actually want to take you."

"Well, he won't be proposing to her for twelve days, so I think we can pull it off."

"… well, I certainly didn't expect this vacation to unravel the way it did," Tyson said, sighing lightly. "Talk about a twist."

"Almost as good as the one in The Village?"

"I still can't believe you enjoy that shit," Tyson grunted, glancing at Aya with arched brow. I don't, I just love how cute you are when you get angry over it… "I still love you and all, but damn…"

"Damn, when I remember how it was like when we first told each other 'I love you'," Aya said, smiling faintly. "And compare it to today, it's amazing how far we've come."

"… ugh, don't remind me!! What did we say about mentioning our endless array of embarrassing moments?! Don't mention them! Don't mention them, dammit!"

"Ha ha, aww, come on," Aya said, extending her arm over and pinching Tyson's cheek gently. "You're at your most adorable during those moments. There's no way in hell I'm forgetting them."

"Do you know when I thought you were the most beautiful?" Tyson asked, shoving Aya's arm away.

"Oh boy, this ought to be good. Rile it on me, soldier! I'm ready!"

"… the second day after you moved in," Tyson said. "I woke up a few minutes before you and I looked at your face. Your mouth was slightly open, drool all over the pillow, you had this weird half-smile half-grin on your face, and a bang of your hair was literally stuck on the corner of your mouth—"

"—oh my god!! Stop! Please stop!!"

"—and I thought, 'damn, if she's this beautiful while being ugly as fuck, I really struck gold'…"

"I know it's supposed to be sweet, but I can't get that image of me out of my head!! You asshole!!"

"Ha ha ha," Tyson burst out in laughter as Aya leapt off the chair and raced back into the room, diving onto the bed and burying her head into a pillow. "Aaah, come on! I'm telling you you were beautiful! What's wrong with that?"

"Fuck off, you pig!" Aya's voice echoed muffled as she pulled a blanket over herself.

"… just as I know how beautiful you are at your ugliest," Tyson said, sitting next to her. "I know you're not hiding under a blanket because you're embarrassed I saw you like that, but because I still thought you were beautiful." … he knows me too well. Welp, time to break up.

"… can you go, like, to another dimension for a few minutes?"

"Nah, sorry."

"Fuck you."

"Can I snuggle into that fort of yours as well?"

"Hell no." Aya replied.

"Do you wanna go outside and take a midnight stroll on the beach?" Tyson asked.

"…"

"It's very dark outside," Tyson continued. "I probably won't be able to see your face."

"… go out and wait for me."

"Roger that!!"

Tyson immediately leapt off the bed and left the room as Aya slowly left the safety of her blanket, sighing as she fixed her disheveled hair. Grunting, she got up and took off her shirt, putting on the bra first and then putting the shirt back on. After washing her face with stern, cold water, she slapped her cheeks gently and left. All apartments, although seemingly individual, were part of an extended complex, and finding an exit was like a mini-maze game. However, whether by luck or orientation, she quickly found her way down and onto the beach, where Tyson was waiting while looking up. Spotting her, he smiled gently and, as she approached him, she extended his arm out and grabbed her hand gently. Thus, the two of them walked forward in equated pace, hand in hand, both barefoot.

"It's been a while since we just went out and walked like this," Aya said as slightly cold breeze blew past them, causing her hair to flutter upward slightly. "It's nice."

"Yeah," Tyson said. "If only your hand wasn't a literal inferno."

"It's yours that's weird," Aya said. "Seriously, go check your circulation. Both your hands and feet are eternally cold. It's weird."

"You're weird."

"No, you're weird."

"The one calling another weird is actually the weird one." Tyson said.

"What are we, four?"

"Eh, give or take."

"… then we've been very naughty for the four-year-olds." Aya said, smirking.

"That's just… disturbing…"

"Speaking of disturbing," Aya said. "Why the hell do you have their entire discography on your phone?!"

"What? They're awesome. Fuck you."

"… you could literally just have three songs, and it'd be the same."

"Hey, do I ever rail on you for never skipping Pink Floyd song, no matter how shitty it is?!" Tyson exclaimed.

"… all the time?" Aya said. "Besides, there's no such thing as a bad Pink Floyd song, let alone a shitty one."

"Khm," Tyson coughed lightly. "Waiting for the velvet bride, with the scaly armadillo."

"…"

"…"

"… you memorized that just on the off-chance we'd have this conversation?" Aya said.

"Yup."

"Are you proud?"

"Yup."

"You shouldn't be."

"Yet, I still am." Tyson said.

"Never before did I know that it is possible to both love and hate someone with adamant passion." Aya said. "So, you know, thank you for letting me discover that emotion."

"Oh, wow, using adamant in an everyday sentence. That's gotta be an achievement for you." Tyson said, smirking mockingly.

"Yes, I'm quite astute. Aren't you proud?"

"Yup." Tyson said.

"You shouldn't be."

"Yet, I still am."

"… actual conversations are bound to grow even rarer between us, right?" Aya said, smiling lightly.

"There's time and place for the baby talk—"

"Hey!! Who said anything about babies?!!"

"—midnight beach stroll, as an idea, was basically conceived as a romantic event to just fuck around randomly."

"I'm pretty sure you're so wrong you went beyond the boundaries of excusable. And, who the hell said anything about babies?!"

"Ah, come on!" Tyson exclaimed. "How is this ambience suited for a romantic or, you know, an actual conversation?! I can barely see your freaking face, I nearly fell six times walking in this damn sand, and I've yet to make a reference to one of the most glorious romantic conversation of all time!!"

"Oh, yeah, I forgot that anything involving sand even remotely was completely destroyed as a romantic topic." Aya said, shuddering for a moment. "Good god, even half-asleep and half-roofied I could have come up with a better convo."

"First, I love that you used convo, gives you so much street cred," Tyson said. "And, secondly, I think it's universally accepted that the sand-is-coarse-and-it-gets-places is, by far, the most beautiful thing ever bestowed upon humanity. So shove your negativity back up the black hole it came from, and get real."

"… well, that's one way to tell me to shove it up my ass. You're getting rather creative with those." Aya said. "Although, I never realized my ass had that much gravitational pull."

"Oh, you have no idea," Tyson said. "So many pairs of eyes gravitated toward it today that even I was like 'whoa, chill guys. It's just an ass'."

"It's not just an ass," Aya said as she let go of Tyson's hand and then pulled it to her behind. "It's your ass."

"…" Tyson exchanged glances between his hand and Aya's hand, unsure whether to laugh out like a madman or like an absolute lunatic. "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day—"

"Oh fuck, don't ruin it!!" Aya exclaimed, bursting out in laughter.

"What do you mean ruin it?!" Tyson exclaimed back as he ran after her. "I was told I can never go wrong with quoting the master-lover, the ungodly gifted, the actual Casanova before the Casanova, the Shake-that-spear-baby himself!"

"… ha ha ha," Aya laughed out as she stopped and sat down onto the cooling sand, proceeding to lie freely onto her back, spreading her arms wide. "You're killing me…"

"You know," Tyson said, grasping for breath, as he lied down next to her. "When I first met you, never in a million years would have I thought you were the type to laugh like a little kid at the stupidest of jokes."

"What, you miss my old, Ayien-self?" Aya said.

"Miss her? I mean, sure," Tyson said. "For a while back there, I truly did begin believing alien life had descended upon the earth—"

"—oh god, just stop… ha ha…"

"—but, I'd never trade her for a girl who takes my hand and places it on her ass, and tells me it's mine. That's just… I don't even know what it is, actually."

"It's just my mysterious ways." Aya said.

"By the way, let's never do the guy-chases-girl-while-the-two-laugh-and-have-fun scene ever again." Tyson said. "I literally can't breathe."

"Yup, I'm with you on that one." Aya said. "As long as you promise never to again quote the master lover himself."

"You and I both know that's a promise I cannot make." Tyson said, imitating a low and brooding tone. "For him, and him alone, can convey the—"

"—yeah, yeah, I get it. The only way to make you shut up is to start making out, right?"

"You could always kill me. Or, you know, sew my mouth shut."

"Eeeh, I'd rather make out." Aya said.

"Yeah, I prefer that one too." Tyson said.

As the two inched closer to each other, ocean's tide drifted ever-so-closer to the two of them, bearing the moon's reflection on its surface. In the silence of the darkening night, the two kissed gently, tightening one another in a wholesome embrace.

Scarlett noticed him first and stood to greet him. "Chevalier Nix," the Titan Clan leader hugged him without hesitation.  

[Whisper: Gillian to Nix] There are several Titans here that wanted to meet you firsthand. The Clan Leader intends to show off her son's Chevalier.

[Whisper: Nix to Gillian]  I see. Thanks, Gil.  

"I haven't had the chance to review the dragon fight with Morti yet, but I will update you on his progress in a few days."  

Mortimus stepped away from the person he was speaking to and offered Nix his hand.  "That was a fight I'd pay to watch Nix!  Armored knights, archers, cannons, and dragons!"

"Morti did a great job with positioning and using leverage.  It was a great experience for the battles to come."  

The War Leader nodded in agreement.  "Did you see us playing tug-of-war with that flying lizard?" 

Nix spent a few minutes talking with Morti's parents and a few of the Titans they brought with them. Finally, the preparations were set for the party, and it was time to open the chests.  

The group had moved to the tables; Nix sat a few meters away from them with four chests that were placed on the grass.  

Nix held his hands up, and everyone quieted down.  "Before we get started. Let's take a moment to recognize our two Tricksters and Ronnie for their out-of-the-box thinking at the end of our dragon fight."  

/Inferno: Ronnie: Thanks!  

/Inferno: Floyd: It was fun being a bear, if only for a short while.
