Shin in his room and is currently sitting on the floor beside his bed while having a deep thought. Around him are a bunch of piles of books regarding the combination of Martial-Arts and Mentalism.
Sigh~
Shin releases a helpless sigh after his deep contemplation. "This study is really quite hard. Combining the systems of Martial-Art and Mentalism are not as simple as one plus one, yet these guys managed to come up with their own theories and able to realize some of them."

"Without a doubt, Alberto's Unified Strengthening Technique is more successful than the other researches, but Henry's theories regarding Secret Arts are quite solid too. And the theory that is closest to reality is the 'Martial-Mentalism Relativity Theory'."
"This theory discusses how to create a personalized Secret Art by combining the current Martial-Art Skills and Mentalism Techniques of the user. But this is only applicable to Dual-Practioners."

Shin suddenly paused when he reached this point. It is because he suddenly realized something.
Then he blurted out as he suddenly shot up from his sitting position for finding the missing key! "That's Right!!! That is the answer why no one managed to achieve the desired result of this theory! It is because they don't have a suitable vessel to use a Secret Art that Henry was saying."
"Wait! I think I read something similar this earlier." muttered Shin before sitting down once again and rescanning the books around him as he tries to find something.
Few moments later, he finally found the book that he is looking for. The title of the book is 'The secrets of Alberto Gonzalez'. Shin flipped the pages of the book while scanning it one by one.
Then his sight landed on a certain phrase on the book before reading it out loud."I'm not a genius actually. I'm just a Dual-Practioner with a special type of body that lets me experiment more on the field of Martial-Arts and Mentalism. And with that, I managed to discover this new technique of ours."
Shin stared at that for few more seconds before muttering to himself. "So that was it. Alberto Gonzalez might also have a 'Spiritual Embryo' special body just like me. That is also one of the main reasons how he discovered the Unified Strengthening."
Then he looked at the book written by 'Henry Cortez' before muttering to himself. "If only he was still alive when Henry Cortez emerges, or the other way around, then they might really succeed at combining Martial-Arts and Mentalism together."
"Tsk! Too bad that Alberto died during an exploration mission, or else he might still alive until now. And with that, he and Henry might meet and create another history."
After that, Shin read Henry's profile from one of the books around him. "Henry Cortez, a genius researcher in the field of Martial-Arts and Mentalism."
"He might not be gifted at the two respective practices but a lot of members of the 'Elder Council' respected him because of his amazing researches."
"He is currently working at the 'Magical Ace Academy' as a guest teacher and acting as the head researcher of the 'World Research Center' of the Soaring Continent."
Then Shin fell on a deep contemplation. "Magical Ace Academy? That is one of the best schools around the world. And together with the 'Top Military School', they are called the twin genius producer of the Soaring Continent."

The 'Top Military School' a school that is famous for its orthodox way of strict teaching together with its harsh environment. The death toll of the students here is quite high because of the missions issued by the school for their exams are pretty much dangerous.
But all of the graduates of this School are dragons among men. And all of the major organizations around the world are going crazy just to recruit one of them.
On the other hand, the 'Magical Ace Academy' is its counterpart. This school's way of teaching is quite unorthodox because they are discussing different kinds of fields. And it covers all the topics around the world.
What's more, most of the teachers and instructors of this school are internationally renowned individuals that are famous in their respective fields.
That is also the reason why some of the most talented individuals from the other countries are coming to the Eastern Sea Region just to enroll in the school.
Some of the international organizations are even enrolling their most talented younger generation because of that reason.

After comparing the two schools, Shin finally made a decision. "The start of the school will be on next month. Maybe I should start some preparation for it. And since I'm High School now, maybe I should send my application for the entrance exam of Magical Ace Academy."
"I might find some answers if I go there. And I'm sure that they have some topics regarding the combination of Martial-Art and Mentalism since Prof. Henry Cortez is in there."
"That Old Geezer and Old Fatty might able to teach me how to become a powerful Martial-Artist and Mentalist, but they can't help at the field of combining the two as much as this Prof. Henry."
After that, Shin opens his Advance Watch and dialed the number of Old Plum to discuss his plans. His master supported his decision as it is a good idea, and it is going to be more helpful in his progress exploring the 'path' that he chose.
After ending the call, Shin dialed the number of 'Madam Foxy', this is how he named Madam Springfield or 'Cristina Jane', the wife of Captain Bernard, in his Advance Watch.
When the call connected, Shin shared his thoughts about going to the 'Magical Ace Academy' for his High School. Madam Foxy didn't say much and just also supported his decision since it is really a good school.
After talking to her few more moments, Shin immediately ended the call before sending his application for the entrance exam of the 'Magical Ace Academy'. Then what left for him now is to wait for it to be approved so that he can take the exam.
And after doing all of that, Shin suddenly felt tired. He felt that a lot have happened today so he immediately collect all of the books around him while organizing them.
Then he take a quick trip to the kitchen to look for something to eat. And after eating, Shin immediately went back to his room before laying inside his VR Gaming Cabin.
"Alright, enough for Martial-Arts and Mentalism for now. Let's get back in the game and do some adventures."
Shin closed his eyes as the Cabin closes itself. Then he said. "Initiate Login!"

Swoosh!Shin is back in the room of the Church. Then he took a quick look at his in-game clock and saw that more than a day and a half have passed here since he spends almost half a day outside.
After that, he immediately opened his friend list and contacted Lawless. Fortunately, the call immediately connected and showed the smiling face of Lawless on the virtual screen. "Heh, so what's your problem now, Brother Sickarius?"
Shin clicked his tongue and said. "Tsk! Do you honestly believe that I'm that kind of person?"
Lawless laughed out loud and said. "Hahaha.... Didn't you are only contacting when you need something?"
This time, Shin suddenly become guilty after hearing that. Well, he can't say anything about that, it is true after all.
Seeing Shin's guilty look, Lawless suddenly change the subject to lighten up the mood a little. "If your are feeling too guilty, then how about joining my team instead? With that, you don't have to feel this way."
Shin shook his head and smiled bitterly before apologizing. "Sorry brother Lawless, but we already discussed about that."
Lawless curve his mouth into a grin while saying. "If you are still worried about being weak, then that is not necessary anymore. Those 'Top Dogs' of the Powerhouse Guilds are already wracking their heads as they try to figure out how to recruit you after you defeated those three famous guys."
"Alright, Alright. Move on~. Let's discuss the main topic already. Are you and the others available now?" said Shin.
Lawless thought for a moment and said. "If it is about hunting some high-leveled monsters, then we might pass this time. Hunting monster bosses might be bountiful, but we can always hunt them down anytime."
"On the other hand, these kind of quests are hard to come by. There is a saying in this game that said 'Monster bosses give you the equipments and materials while Quests grant you levels and points'."
Shin knitted his brows and said. "Why do I feel that what you said is wrong? Didn't the right one is 'Monsters hone your skills and techniques while Quest gives you strength and influence'?"
"Anyway, I didn't call you for that. I stumble upon a High-Ranking quest. It is also related to the Church. I can't tackle it alone so I'm asking for some help."
Lawless suddenly became interested and said. "Oh~♪ A High-Ranking Quest? Is it also the same as the one being given by your Church or a different one?"
"Of course! It is different. Mine is kind of a personal quest." said Shin almost instantly.
Lawless fall on a deep thought before asking. "What type of quest and how is the difficulty?"
"A Hidden Investigative Quest with Master(SSS) difficulty." said Shin without second thought. Then he immediately added after. "And I think it is a chain quest, and somewhat related to my other quest."
"A chain quest that starts with 'Master-grade' difficulty?" muttered Lawless as he fell on a deep thought. Then he look at Shin before asking once again. "What about your other quest?"
Shin replied without thinking twice. "A Hidden Main Quest with Hell(SSS+) difficulty."
Cough! Cough!
Lawless suddenly chokes with the words that he is about say after hearing Shin's reply. Then he said after recovering himself. "What the F*ck! Why the hell are all the good things keep coming on your side. Can you at least lend your lucky star to me so that I can experience it too?"
Shin ignored that and immediately asked. "Enough with the that. Are you guys free or not?"
Lawless clicked his tongue and said. "Tsk! What a coldhearted b*st*rd! Me and Faker are already free since just finished the SS-grade quest that we got from the church, and about to submit it."
"But we are also planning to accept the Master-grade quest that had been posted on the church quest bulletin board since we already met the requirements for it. And it is better if we snatch it from the hands of the powerful Guilds."
Then Shin immediately replied without further ado. "Then take it too! We can clear the quests altogether since they are all interconnected! In fact, I'm the real reason why the church is issuing those quest."
"You–!....." Lawless was frozen in place after hearing that. It took him some time to recover himself before started cursing Shin. "D*mn it! God, F*cking d*mn it! What kind of b*st*rd creature are you? You are not only a sh*thead lucky guy, you are also a motherf*cking source of trouble!"
Shin stared at Lawless placidly and asked. "So what now? Are you guys coming or not?"
Lawless took some effort to clam himself down. Then he look at Shin and replied. "Alright, we are joining. But! We have some problems. Master-grade Quest are not like the other quest that can cleared alone or with some random team."
"We need to balance our team's class composition so that we can avoid some accidents. We didn't lack in physical DSP area. Me, you, and Faker are more than enough for that."
"We also don't have to worry on the supporting area, as we have Stephanie, and she is more than enough for that role."
"But we are lacking on two respective areas. We don't have a main tank, and we don't have enough firepower in magical DPS(Damage per Second) department. And even if Morgan have a rapid magical damage, he is lacking in terms explosiveness."
"If we have Ember and Ravier, then that is not a problem. But those two run off to somewhere, saying that they have to do something in Real World. For all I know, those two might only be dating."
"I might be able to find a suitable tank for our team by asking some of my friends. But I don't know anyone that can fill the magical DPS spot."
Now, Shin fell on a deep thought. He doesn't have may connections in the game. So aside from the couple in Lawless group, he only have a single person that magical class in his friend list. But he doesn't want ask some help from her because he is going get trapped on another debt if he does.
Shin is racking his brain while looking at his friend list. Then a certain name caught his eyes. Immediately after that, an idea enter his mind.
He look at Lawless on the screen before saying. "Hey, brother Lawless. You take care of finding the tank while I'll try looking for a magical class. And immediately take the Master-grade quest issued by Church before others steal it."
Lawless looked at Shin skeptically and said. "Are you sure about that? If you take a random Mage on the street, then I'm going to beat you up for ruining our quest."
Shin clicked his tongue and said. "Tsk! You don't have to worry about that. I'm not that idi*t to ruin my own quest. Just finish up all the things on your side before we meet up at the coordinates that I'm going to send to you."
"What's with the rush? Can't we rest for a little?" said Lawless.
"Of course! You can. But we need to immediately move out after that. We need to finish one of my quest as soon as possible, or else some accidents might happened." said Shin with a little impatience.
Lawless clicked his tongue and said. "Alright, I get it. Just make sure that you are going to find a good Mage, OK?"
Shin nodded his head before ending the call. After that, he switched his 'caller ID' before dialing a number from his friends list.

In just one look, these thoughts flashed through Han Xiao's mind. He took a deep breath. The true identity of the enemy had been discovered—it was definitely very stressful to be Thousand Shadows' enemy, but that was something for later.
The most imminent problem was dealing with nine Calamity Grades.
Especially Stephanie.

Among the rest of the enemies, there were two Pugilists, one Mage, and four Espers. Stephanie was one of the Espers!

Stephanie : but..*sob* you had such a miserable life...*sob* and the god of your world just look the other way and let you suffer*sob*... as a goddess myself one of his kind how can I not be sad as he watched one of his own children suffer...*sob* and yet through all that you don't blame, hate or curse the Gods that had watch you suffer*sob*.

EZEKIEL : why would I hate them it was a luck of the draw and I just so happened to draw the bad end of the stick so why should i hate them I did with what I had and made the best with what was given to me why should I hate them.

Stephanie : but... Before she could finish your sentence Andres Cuts in and interrupt her. 

Andres : even though he's a little bicth and a pussy he is right you know there's no point in crying over it there's nothing you or the other gods could have done about it besides you saw his memories even if he don't like any of it he didn't let it get to him he has a strong heart, strong mind, and strong will so you should not pity him you should be happy that  he does not hate you guys or curse you guys even though he's a little bicth.

Ezekiel : is it really necessary for the name calling?

Stephanie :*sob* he's right there really isn't any need for name-calling and what did you mean the other gods couldn't help him. she says  as her eyes were still red and puffy but at least she stop crying.

Andres : hahaha is there a need for name-calling of course there is why because he's too soft hearted, is irritating, and annoying as for your other question he not originally from that world. but in his thoughts he was thinking something else (he's not even from that universe or trivirs).

Ezekiel : damn that shrink was right you're a total dick you know that  you could be more nice instead of being such an ass.

Andres : I could but I'm not going to cuz I don't want to so get over it. besides you won't have to deal with me for long.

Ezekiel / Stephanie : what do you mean not for long.

Andreas : hahahahaha look there goes the couple again speaking at the same time and in sync. well like I was trying to tell you before we were interrupted I will be fusing our souls together and as for my memory I will create a system to store it I he got the idea from all the books and stories we read.

Ezekiel : what do you mean fuse are spirits together how you going to create a system.

Andreas : let's just say the things for the novels that we read are possible like there's a world of Naruto and they they exist and for all the books in The Maze mangas anything that is created out of people's imagination. or they're not technically created from nothing there exists the world and just so happens bits and pieces of those worlds tend to leak into the imagination or mind of people. as for us using our souls together well I was originally supposed to watch over you and protect you but there was a fatal error you're too soft so hopefully by fusing my soul and your soul together we can at least we balance each other personalities out and make are soul stronger.

Ezekiel : can you at least make the system a girl I don't want to have to listen to your voice no offense but dude that would be kind of awkward wouldn't you agree.

Andres : hahaha no offense taken and yeah I do agree with you so it will be an AI that is a girl with my current knowledge and i will have to be unlocked slowly as we get stronger that sound Fair.

EZEKIEL : that Sounds reasonable.

Stephanie : hay are you two forgetting about me.*pout*

Andres : yes

Ezekiel look at Andres angry with a vain poping out of his forehead 

Ezekiel : shut up Andres and no we weren't it just that he know all about me more then I know about my self although he is a jurk I trust him it dose not mean I am trying to ignore you.

Stephanie : * sigh* I know I just fill left out I'm I am the one that brought you hear to give you a chance to live happy life you deserve .

Ezekiel : know and I appreciate it. shows a kind and gentle smile.

Stephanie blushed and Andres look at them with intrigued eyes and an idea hit him with a cunning smile that no saw.

Andres :  hay Stephanie I have a proposition for you if your interested.

Stephanie:  what would that be. with questioning look in her eye

Andres : how would you like to be the sprit of the system since I will not have any of my memory so the only thing that well happen is that are personality will combine so it will basically be Ezekiel 2.0 it will be him with a personality up grade so he is going to need someone looking out for him and me I guess if your worried hire up don't be trust me.

Stephanie :*sigh* as much as would love to just like you said I would have deal with the hire ups.

Stephanie only wished Professor Hund was a little more competent, at least then she wouldn't have to be wasting the hundred points he had given her, learning something she would have otherwise learned in class.

The Library seemed to be completely empty apart from a librarian who Stephanie thought had to be an NPC—the Librarian just seemed so unreal—and Stephanie herself.

"Finally," she breathed as she found the book she was searching for.

If someone had told Stephanie that a day would come when she would visit a library without being forced, she would have rolled her eyes and probably laughed. But now as she held the leather-bound book in her hands, she couldn't help but frown. 

Books reminded her of her mother. Someone she shouldn't be thinking about unless she wanted to cry in no time. 

Whenever she thought of her mother, she thought of fire. Its colored flames devouring anything in its path with unbelievable hunger. Insatiable. Impossible. 

Whenever she thought of her mother, she remembered her father. And then all she would be able to feel is a deep rooted anger and hate. Hate for the man who had abandoned her and her mother. The very hate that threatened to make her abandon life as it currently was. 

Then when things got really bad, she would think about the very last words her mother had uttered.

'...remember Stephanie, no matter what happens, you have to be the best. Always be number one.'

Clutching the book to her chest, and staring at her black combat boots, Stephanie made her way to a section of the library that would keep her hidden.

She bumped into someone,

As she raised her head and recognized who she had bumped into, Stephanie couldn't help but feel angry. Not at the person but herself. Not at the very person who threatened her mother's last words, but at her weak self for making it happen.

Without as much as a word of apology whatsoever, she clambered away, constantly repeating to herself.

"I would be number one. I'd always be number one."

Nessa couldn't do anything but watch as Stephanie walked away shaking her head and holding a book like it was a lifeline. She had been idly walking to the bookshelves when she bumped into Stephanie.

Nessa partly blamed herself. She hadn't been looking where she was going; instead she silently wondered why Professor Avery had been so reluctant to help her.

She constantly replayed what the professor had said.

'I can't help you, at least not directly, not yet.'

But still, the more Nessa thought about it, the more she felt like grey hairs were replacing the black locks on her head.

Thinking is bad, she reminded herself as she made her way to the bookshelves. After moments of browsing, Nessa finally picked out a brown leather bound book and returned the way she had just come to a section of the library she thought no one would go to. 

Surprise became evident on her face the moment she saw Stephanie there too. She bit back a curse and went farther down the aisle sitting a few paces behind Stephanie.

Nessa spent what must have been hours reading the book. With satisfaction, she finally closed it. She finally understood. All Professor Hund had said was right, albeit ill explained. 

Nessa breathed deeply as she tried to sort through her thoughts. What she had just read in the book. She finally understood why it was easy for her to cast darkness magic. It was because her Ki flowed in the same pattern as darkness itself.

Everything in the world has Ki and everything is made up of a combination of the six elements. Each element in its own nature has its own Ki pattern, just like mages have their own Ki pattern.

The reason why it was easy for Nessa to cast darkness magic was because her Ki flowed in a pattern that 
resembled the pattern of darkness.

But that didn't mean that she needed to change her Ki pattern to cast a different element. It merely meant that she needed to adjust her flow-rate.

If she wanted to manipulate that very element in nature however, although she needs to adjust her flow rate, she would also have to take control of the element's own Ki.

What Nessa still didn't understand was what it meant to take control of the element's own Ki. Plus, if magic could be this simplified, why had Professor Hund insisted that certain elements are more easily manipulated in nature, than cast?

Not willing to rest until she knew everything, Nessa stood and made her way back to the bookshelves. This time she picked at least three books that she thought would help her.

Moments later as she walked towards her seat, she locked eyes with Stephanie. Behind her eyes, Nessa could see notthing but fury and extreme determination. 

'Gosh,' Nessa thought, 'Now I understand what it means for your fundamental element to be fire.'

Unwilling to waste any more time, she made her way to her seat. Her butt had barely touched the leather seat, when she opened the first book and started reading. It didn't take long before she discarded it and branded it useless, at least for now. The book kept talking about how it was easier to weave high end spells for group A elements than group B elements—not what Nessa was searching for.

A moment later another book was opened in front of her, and faster than the previous one, she discarded the book tagging it beyond useless.

The third book however, was a lot more useful. After five minutes of reading, Nessa already understood why it was easier to manipulate group B elements than cast them.

It is simply because,  the elements' Ki are easier to manipulate than even an individual's own Ki unless the individual had a pattern similar to that element. Whereas it was the exact opposite for group A elements.

Nessa thought back to the time Professor Hund had turned out all the candles in the classroom. Although she couldn't notice it then, now she could have sworn that she saw beads of sweat on Professor Hund's face.

Fire was a group A element, meaning it was easier for the Professor to manipulate his Ki (like making a fireball) than to manipulate the fire Ki (which was how he had turned off the candles.)

Nessa smiled as understanding shone on every portion of her face. If what she had discovered was true, it meant that even easier than making a dark energy ball, she should be able to manipulate darkness itself. All she needed to know was how exactly, she needed to manipulate darkness Ki.

Nessa made multiple attempts to try changing the form of shadows, but she could have as well been trying to light the night sky with a candle. Seemingly not satisfied, Nessa picked up the second book again, to see if there would be tips on how to control the world's Ki.

Just as she was about to begin reading, a hand appeared over the book. Nessa traced the hand up its arm, until her eyes landed on its owner's face.

Stephanie looked even more alert than she normally did. When she spoke, the words poured like several oceans on a beach. With so much authority. 

Nessa was tempted to say yes to what Stephanie had just demanded. The words still rang clear in her mind

"I challenge you to a duel?"

Nessa is a young paranoid girl who has no time for useless romance and cares about no-one but herself and her family. She's given a seemingly harmless gift which ends up changing her world as she knows it. Literally. 

Stuck in a different world with nothing but her wits and her brother, Nessa struggles to complete a game and escape a world filled magic, monsters and self made villains so she can return to reality. She soon finds out that this is indeed more than just a game and she was nothing more than a pawn in the hands of people far stronger than she was.

Despite the fact that the mc is female, she's neither a hero nor a villain. She's the most paranoid and untrusting person you might ever meet. So if you're looking for a story where the mc swooshes in to save the day every single time, I'm sorry this is not your read.

"Hmm?" Stephanie raises her eyebrow as she sits on crossed legs questioning us. Her fierceness look was quite tempting. What the hell am I supposed to tell her? I'm also shocked as she is. I don't understand what happened earlier, everything's a mess. Stephanie turns her head and looks at me.
"I don't know either! When we enter the headquarters, Clark was inside on one of the rooms. As I went in, I noticed him standing as he was looking at something then the next thing I know he was running towards me yelling that there a bomb then... the bomb went off." I answer with an irritated look on my face.
Stephanie didn't expect what happened. She turns quiet after hearing my statement. I can totally tell she's surprised but she not showing it on her face. Clark was still lying on the bed, slightly being gloomy.
"So, how did you guys survived?"
"The bomb was not that big, it is strong but couldn't take to whole headquarters. When Clark run towards me luckily we hid on a something like a plank of wood but Clark fell on top of me then one part of the roof knock him down it pierce on the side of his stomach. Good thing I have gotten rid of it."
Stephanie nod on relief but something was quite bothering her.
"How did you know that there's a bomb planted there? You saw something am I right? Brother?" Stephanie looks at Clark in sharp eyes. Come to think of it he did say that there's a bomb before it went off! Just what did he saw earlier!? We both look at him in suspicion. Clark was still in his cold faced not getting bothered by it. God, I hate his face!
"It's about father..." Clark says as he sits upon the bed.
Stephanie both shocked by what he said. Wait? What? Father? Theirs? They're hiding something from me...! They never told me about their father? How is it related to this shit?
"Wait! What father!?" I yell at them confusingly.
"Shut up! I'll kill you if someone heard you!" Stephanie's deadly eyes glare at me. Those mad eyes are definitely telling me something is wrong. 
"Is it... Okay to tell William?" Stephanie asks Clark with hesitant.
Not okay... to... tell me...? W-what...? I'm so dang confused.
The rooms fell silent, no one was willing to talk and break the atmosphere. Stephanie looks away trying to avoid the situation while Clark was resting his eyes. Leaving me confused as hell, can't fit in on the conversation.
"The reason why we established the Dark knight is... we want to find out the real cause of our father's death." Clark says in his cold tone. Both of them somehow turn gloomy. They both suddenly feel down but the terrified look on their faces was still there. Their father? They... never told me that... I thought the only reason they built it is that they want to kill some assholes who are being too greedy and a threat to the underworld. Having that kind of reason is impossible... suddenly interfering on the underworld just to slay some asshole is not.... something that can be easily done. What they're really after is seeking their father's death truth. I grip tightly on my fist despise of not knowing the truth.
"So what really happened?" Stephanie stands up on her seat not being able to carry anymore longer while arm's crossed her piercing gaze facing Clark.
------Flashback------
----Clark's POV----
As I was sneaking on the enemy base actually it's not really their base, it's just like a house that just used I think for their meeting place, the hallway was unexpectedly empty. William was left behind taking care first of the mess earlier before coming along. The house was an antique design, it was quite spectacular for someone to use it as their so-called hideout. I was wandering my eyes around and I noticed something's not right. My men were behind me high on guard as they pointing their guns waiting for an ambush while I was there walking calm but my guard isn't off. Hmm... 
Suddenly an eye-catching room caught my attention. Its door was filled with attractive design, wavy curls covered the entire door as the light shines on it. Why do I feel like something besides this door? The urge to open this door inside me is eating me away. Ugh... Damn...
"I'm going in, others guard the door and the rest continue the search." They all nodded and move on their positions right away. The ones who will continue patrolling continue walking forward leaving the others who will stay behind me.
"Guard the door, I want to be alone." I was about to enter the door giving them cold shoulder they both hesitant to follow my orders.
"What?" I glare at them threatening them to stop their foolishness. This is irritating... They both head as soon as they saw my terrifying face. Those piercing glaze on my eyes making them no choice but to move on their positions. God...
As I enter the door, a dusty library surprised me. The bookshelves were all covered with spider webs, not just the books but the whole room was dusty. Does someone even clean this place? *cough cough.  I was looking around the room, all the books were just about economic and stuff, nothing important. I spotted a table in the room, it has a letter and a file. I got curious about whether this file is the one I've been looking for. Top secret? The file's name was quite alerting, as soon as I open the file the information in there got me shocked. It's like the feeling of finding out the truth all this time. A mix of excitement and fearful emotion lingering me down my spine of what kind of truth I'm about to see.

Early in the morning when the sun only started to get to be visible, two girls in their 20-th were walking along a path between beautiful huge stone pillars that were painted into the colour of the cloudy sky, the flour was accurately done from flat white stone and was creating a harmony with the pillars. The girls were wearing your typical maid clothes and were carrying a basket each with similar clothes in them.

"Sugar, Caroline it seems the stupid third prince is following us, does he really think we can't see him! Why doesn't he sleep this early in the morning!?" – one of the girls facepalmed herself looking back with a corner of an eye. There was a man in his 20-th hiding behind a column running from the one pillar to another from time to time. But the stupid thing about the prince was that he was half exposed and didn't try to cover that half at all, as if he didn't know that they saw him.

"Jessica don't say something like this, if someone hears us, we are going to be in big problems!" – immediately replied the other girl. She continued – "It has been 3 months since the prince turned into this state. You have been his maid only for two month so you might not know, but before the incident where he was poisoned Prince Julius was actually one the best graduates in all of the Imperial University history, but what a pity, he is like this now, behaving as 7-8 years old child. Don't overthink it Carolina, he is just mis behaving like a child and doesn't mean any harm."

"Imperial University!? Oh my god, it is the place where only prodigies of the Monster Empire can study. Are you sure you are not exaggerating, Carolina? Just yesterday, the third prince stole the underwear of the kitchen chief Barick and waved it running around the palace shouting it is smelly." – Jessica was suspiciously looking at Caroline.

"Hahahaha…that was very funny... Barick should be beaten to death…there has a few cases where he actually harassed a few of our girls, he would never have been bold enough to do it if the third prince was the same as before, but now Barick can behave as he wishes, and we can't do anything about it." – Carolina replied as if remembered something good at the beginning and then disgusted look appeared on her face.

The girls were chatting and laughing from time to time, when the third prince all of sudden rushed at the girls and snatched the baskets from the girls shouting "catch me, catch me" in a childish voice.

"No prince Julius, there are maid's dirty clothes in the basket, please return it to us" – shouted after him Carolina.

"Return!? Why!?" – Julius looked childish even though he was an adult in his mid 20, to be exact he was 26 years old.

"Because good boys don't steel women's clothes" – sharply interjected Jessica, glaring at him.

"Hahaha, I am a bad boy, not a good boy. Stephanie said girls like bad boys." – replied Julius to the girls cutely smiling.

"Miss Stephanie is still too small, she doesn't understand it yet, girls like good boys!" – replied Carolina smiling and triying to look as honest as possible.

"Then if I am a good boy, would you like me!?" – asked the prince suspiciously.

"Yes...Of course" – replied the girls in unison.

"Then I'll give it back to you, but you have to kiss me to the cheek." – said the prince while being shy.

"Oh my… again!?" – mumbled Jessica while taking a deep breath.

"Okay…!" – replied the girls knowing there is no way around it.

The third prince had average looks, and no woman could sincerely say that he was handsome. He was not ugly but definitively wasn't on the handsome side. However, he was once one the brightest stars in the Empire. He was a genius that could be only born once in a thousand years. He was not arrogant even though had that air of royalty around him that didn't allow others to speak to him as an equal. About 3-4 years ago after he graduated from the best university available on the continent with the best possible results. Due to his nature that loved freedom, he would very often sneak out from the capital by himself and travel around the empire. Recently, it was happening more and more often and for longer times, but no one from the imperial family was bothered about it, since he could definitively take care of himself. 3 months ago, when he sneaked out from the capital again, all of the Monster Empire elites were shocked to receive the news that the famous third prince was on his death bed due to a very terrifying poison. However, a miracle has happened and against all logic the prince still lived. The bad news was that he lost his memories and only knew that his name was Julius, he lost all of his divine power but even more worrisome was the fact that he became mentally retarded. It was a cruel destiny when somebody who spent his life studying and training lost all of it in the blink of an eye.

The strangest part of it was the fact the imperial family didn't have a single clue who was the person who did it to him. The poison used was exceptionally rare and expensive. Only major powers on the continent could get a hold of it. But to able to poison the third prince, the party's strength was said to be unimaginable. The third prince's strength stood at the pinnacle of the world and less than 100 people on the continent could defeat him. However, if the third prince decided to run away from the battle, no one could stop him. Therefore, many members from the imperial family were afraid to pursue this matter any further.
The Emperor of the Monster Empire and father of the third prince on the other hand was doing everything in his power to find the culprits. He knew the personality of his son and knew he would never be involved into something evil. He knew that the prince was a  It was a huge loss for the national strength of his empire and as a father he was devasted by the fact that his genius son lost everything he worked so hard to get but still as a father he was glad that his Julius recovered and kept his live even though he became mentally retarded.

The two maid girls just received back the baskets with clothes and with a slight reddish color on their cheeks were kissing the third prince's cheeks from both sides at the same time. They tried to do it one at a time, but the prince insisted for them to do it at the same time.

"Chmock" – with a very listless kiss the girls run away to their destination, list the prince does something else.

When the girls were no longer visible the supposedly mentally retarded third prince started to wickedly laugh, and then mumbled to himself.

"hahah…What a good start of the day, two beauties kiss, the plan was a perfect success!" –  He had a satisfied look on his face, as if he accomplished something great. If people knew what was going in his mind, they could have immediately guessed that the princes Julies body was possessed by someone else, since such a pure person could not take advantage of girls like this.

[It's been 3 months as I have arrived into this world, I should stop pretending to be mentally retarded, I have just a few pieces of information left to collect for me to start to live in this world for real.] – thought to himself Evan, who took over the prince's body.
When he first woke up, he couldn't anything with his new body. He stayed in this condition for 2 days and slowly started to get control over the body. Because it took him more than 2 days, he thought that it would very unwise for him to act normal since in one the conversions between the people who came to visit him, he learned that there some very rare occasions where human body contained another soul and that it was the only theoretical possibility why he has survived. Evan thought that he might get discovered if tried to take over the third prince personality without knowing anything about him, so he faked as a mentally retarded person and started to collect information under the pretext of memory loss. Another reason was that he was afraid there were some people from the imperial family who were involved into this attack, and obviously they would try to silence him while he is powerless to protect himself. It was better to keep a low profile until he got a good grasp about his new circumstances. He tried to gather information from books but turned out they had completely different writing to his. The only choice left were other people and luckily they spoke the same language. Of course, he started from those who wouldn't suspect anything no matter what he asked them about, and the targets obviously were children. But when got to learn about the personality of the third prince, he was more or less on the verge of cursing. He had no good looks to boost about and would be of the people who would say that "only inner beauty is important" but then he himself was actually such a person…

Julius was considered to be a man with perfect character by many of his friends. He would never loose himself to anger, would never oppress anyone by his status, and even when a conflict was about to happen, he would always initiate the ending in piece. But it doesn't mean he had a weak will and didn't have courage to fight. It was quite the opposite, he had a will stronger than anyone, he had courage to fight against 10 people of the equal strength without any fear when he has defending the weak against the strong. People often would call a hero and especially this was the case with a small girl named Stephanie. The comment Evan gave about Julius was "Too perfect to be true, I do not believe such a person could exist, and then such an MC character has to be accordingly handsome, and look at me, just a random Johny's face, I rate him -1 on the scale of from 0 to 5. If you act like an OP MC, you have to look like the MC!". 

Stephanie was 9 years old and was his second cousin. She was living in Julius's castle since he was allowed to come back home from the royal hospital. She was his biggest source of information about himself and without suspecting anything she would always give away all the information she knew. She was his fan and the two turned out to be very close to each other before the incident with the poison and she knew almost anything about him. Unfortunately, Julius hadn't told her about the reason why he would sneak away without anyone noticing. There was no progress on Julius's poisoning investigation, and Evan couldn't do anything about it.

Evan had a lot to think about and was not planning to give up this chance to have the second live, especially so when he had a very important goal to achieve in this world. The people from his previous world had sacrificed too much to give him this opportunity and placed a huge burden of a whole world's destiny onto his shoulders.

A few more days and he was ready to get rid of his mentally retarded status and start this live with a solid ground under his feet. His plan was already finalized, it would be the epic return of the hero with an upright character, some lives would end and some lives would be blessed, some would be experience shame and torture, others experience justice and delight.

Evan's now black eyes were full of determination as he said to himself – "He was a hero, so will be I. He had an upright character, so will be mine. He looked like sh*t…I hope they do plastic surgery in this world!!!"

They kept on having an argument about what kind of dress would be the best. Yan Xiaoran wanted to wear something conservative that won't show too much of her skin while Stephanie Choo was desperate to make her wear a very seductive and alluring dress.

Tired of debating on this for hours, Yan Xiaoran finally gave in and let Stephanie do her magic as she sat on the soft couch and listened.

"What do you think of this? A high slit with a low cut in the back? This would enhance your sexiness and might make your husband pick you up from the sight and throw you on the bed?" Stephanie wiggled her brows naughtily.

Stephanie was already filled in about her relationship with Robert Qu and Yan Xiaoran's mysterious marriage partner who was also Robert Qu's grandson.

She was first surprised when she found out about the complicated situation Yan Xiaoran was in and sympathized with her, but at the moment, Stephanie's whole attention was on the Majestic Ball.

And as a single woman who was deprived of a sensual relationship for a year, Stephanie didn't stop teasing her new boss, "Remember to tell me all the details of your adventures in bed when you successfully seduce your husband."

Yan Xiaoran rolled her eyes and laughed, "What adventures are you talking about? We're not even married yet and here you are more excited to see your new boss pimping herself out to some stranger. And what makes you think that Robert Qu's grandson would be seduced so easily?"

"Come on. With your beauty and those huge racks in your chest?" Stephanie said as she locked her eyes at Yan Xiaoran's chest, "Who wouldn't want to grope them and feel their softness between their hands?" 

Stephanie was really envious of Yan Xiaoran's body. Even after being locked away in a crude and ugly place like Qinglu prison, she was still able to maintain her beauty and sinful body that could make any man bow down to her.

Unfortunately, the owner was not 

Yan Xiaoran chuckled at her assistant's naughtiness. She found Stephanie's personality funny and liked her even more. She was glad that Stephanie remained open-minded after knowing that Yan Xiaoran was an ex-convict.

If it was anyone else, they would be gloomy and won't be motivated to work under a criminal, and might even hand their resignation letter before they even meet her.

The day of the Majestic Ball.

Several luxurious and expensive cars were parked in the street as guests who attended the party got off their cars, wearing their beautiful and most eye-catching formal dresses and suits for that night.

To everyone, the Majestic Ball was not only a party to mingle and talk with their peers, but tonight was also the perfect time to strengthen some bonds and create connections to some potential business partners.

Most of the guests came from a wealthy background, renowned in the entertainment business, and some politicians also came walking down the red carpet like it was the Oscars. 

Cameras were flashing and the people who weren't invited were on the side with their phones, mics, and cameras out, to film their favorites tonight and post it on their social media accounts.

Almost every guest on the guest's list have already passed through the grand threshold of the venue and only a few guests were walking down the red carpet, posing in front of the camera for the last time before entering the venue.

At this moment, a black Bentley drove to a stop and the car door opened. 

Everyone's attention wasn't originally on the car that just came but after seeing the person who came out of it, they couldn't stop themselves from turning their heads and look at the person.

Huang Liu, a fashion journalist also couldn't stop himself and look at the guest who almost came late to the party.

First, a white slender legs wearing a gold Savannahs' shoes slid out of the car.

Looking at the thin and slender white legs, Huang Liu nodded his head as if he was appraising a high-quality painting in a Museum. 'Ahh… Nice supple legs! The muscles are well toned and not hanging like a flab of skin. Now, let's see the face of the owner of these legs and see whether it's a match.'

As he was thinking, the woman in the car bent down slightly before she got out of the car. She straightened her body and looked in front.

"Princess." Stephanie was serious when she spoke to Lex, "I was not with Emperor Chanake when he was dying and I am sorry about that. I did not know if the Emperor's abilities would be present in you. Therefore, I will be your personal mage if you are able to repel Cloudflow. Before that happens, I will guard this city."
"Thank you, Grand Master." Lex did not say more. She knew that Stephanie was willing to defend the city only because of her father. She could very well have become the best amongst all the mages serving the royal family based on her age and abilities. In Holy Rock City, the mages of the royal family would be entitled to more resources than if they followed her.
"Hmm, you can go ahead and accept the gifts. The person who came over is the son of Earl Kant. He requested to come over." Stephanie was not the messenger so she sent Lex away and began to meditate in the magic tower.
After leaving the magic tower, Lex saw Saleen. Saleen said to Lex, "Lex, the skeleton magic stone artilleries that Cloudflow sent over are all spoilt. There is no way to repair them."
"I knew it. Cloudflow people are not stupid after all. The gifts were meant to provoke us, of course they will make sure that they are spoilt first. It would be quite useful to use these two-hundred skeletal magic stone artilleries on top of the city wall otherwise."
"Anyway, I kept the spatial boxes that they sent over. There are two-hundred of them. Not too bad as gifts." Saleen laughed.
"What about the magic beasts? Surely you didn't slaughter them for their meat?" After Lex and Saleen decided to get married, they no longer maintained a polite distance with each other as they did before. Now, they could even joke with each other. Lex was well aware of the fact that Saleen was someone who liked to take advantage of situations.
"Of course not. They are all low-level magic beasts, so there are no decent magic nuclei to be had even if I were to slaughter them." At this point, Saleen changed topics very abruptly and said, "Lex, I want the two-hundred soldiers to be killed. I am afraid that a strong opponent might be hidden amongst them. Although I have personally checked it, we cannot afford to be careless. On the day of our wedding, Cloudflow will launch an attack. If one or two people with strange abilities have managed to sneak in prior to the attack and create chaos in the city, not only will we be flustered, we will also lose face in front of all the envoys."
"All of them have been rounded up?"

Qin Emperor Ojarvis' gifts were sent directly to the palace along with the group of envoys and two battalions of royal swordsmen. These elite soldiers would not be leaving Daliang City. Ojarvis was aware of what Lex was lacking, but since he could not mobilize the soldiers and horses of the four towns, he could only deploy the men from the royal swordsmen battalion and send them to Lex. The soldiers of the royal swordsmen battalion were all loyal to the old Emperor so Ojarvis felt assured they would respect Lex.
The person leading the group of envoys was a young member of a noble family. He was previously an officer in western town. It was from him that Lex managed to obtain Wild Bear.

"Your Highness, father is doing well and is now serving in the House of Lords." Scott did not expect Lex to remember his name. "Yes, Your Highness. I have even brought over two-hundred of my bodyguards. My father gave them to me."
"Earl Kant must still miss me. Scott, have you been officially conferred with any ranks?"
"Your Highness, I am now a grade-3 Baron of the Empire. It is the lowest grade," Scott replied with slight embarrassment.
Lex smiled and said, "No problem. Stay with me and become a grade-1 Baron. A war is coming soon. Keep your bodyguards with you. In a while, I will arrange a position for you."
"Thank you, Your Highness. Father hopes that I can join the battle too."
"I know. The Frio family was conferred with its rank of nobility because of meritorious deeds you performed in battles. Your father is very competitive. He hopes that you will make a name for yourself on the battlefield of course. Scott, come and meet His Highness, Saleen."
Scott performed a formal ritual of noble families and said, "Your Highness. I, Scott Frio, pledge to protect you and the Princess forever and until the end of my days."
All the things that Narnia had taught Saleen suddenly flew across his mind. He pressed his hand on Scott's shoulder and said, "The Metatrin family accepts your allegiance."
Scott was tactful by expressing his loyalty to Saleen and Lex could only smile at that. The relationship between the Frio family and her father went back a long way. She would value someone like Scott even if he did not pledge his allegiance. This was because the people that Scott had brought along with him were not bodyguards, but military instructors of the Empire. She even knew two of them. This was her brother's tactic. Now that Saleen and herself had governed a population of more than twenty-million, they were already lacking in instructors who could train soldiers. In the battle with Luolan, Lex even had to resort to using actual battles to replace training.
Saleen followed Scott to the courtyard where the gifts were placed and saw that all three huge courtyards that were connected to each other were completely filled up. Other than the magic tower, Lex's palace did not contain any other tall buildings. The courtyards were not small at all. The fact that all three were filled up just proved how much Ojarvis had spent on these gifts.
Piled together, the two yard standard space boxes were as high as ten stories. There were only narrow passages between the boxes. Even Lex felt dizzy seeing courtyards full of spatial boxes. It seemed that Ojarvis had opened at least one large warehouse and brought everything over.
"Scott, I think it is better if you give us the inventory list." Lex knew that they could not possibly open up all the spatial boxes one by one since there were so many of them. She even had doubts whether the warehouse in the palace could possibly store everything.
"Your Highness, the inventory list is here." Scott brought over a thick pile of inventory lists and said, "It will be better if Your Highness starts to build a few magic warehouses. I heard that Holy Rock City has sent over an unbelievable amount of grain. The Prince has ordered that half of them are to be sent to Bitter Water Prefecture. Even though it is only half…"
"I understand now." Lex did not wish to bring up her uncle. He was willing to supply her with resources now that she was in the position to deal with Cloudflow. Previously, when she needed help, she was forced to seek help from Saleen by flying all the way to Metatrin City with another mage at the risk of being assassinated along the way.
At that time, where was her uncle?
After taking the inventory list, Lex called someone over to arrange for Scott and his bodyguards' stay in the palace. She also arranged for her mages to supervise the construction of the magic warehouses. Qin usually built them underground. The geological conditions in Daliang City were excellent so it was easy to build the warehouses without the need for any large-scale spells.
Lex and Saleen returned to the sixth storey of the magic tower and saw a grade-7 sorcerer who was in the midst of his experiments, but seemed a bit helpless. Lex was apologetic and said, "Gelatini, I'm afraid you have to put up with this arrangement for the time-being since Grand Master Stephanie is here."

"Why don't I stay at the magic tower that is outside of the city for the time-being? Since the Grand Master is here, you should be safe." The sorcerer sought for Lex's opinion.
"No need, you will continue to stay on the sixth storey. The Grand Master may continue to give you more advice. I will not be staying in the magic tower for the time-being."
"Your Highness, what about your safety?"
"Do you see that small building?" Lex pointed into the distance away at a small building that was six-storeys tall. That building was originally an observatory and was also a building of historical significance in Daliang City.
Gelatini nodded. Lex said, "The person who shot the assassin is staying in that building. With her around, the entire palace is within her attacking range."
"I am relieved then," Gelatini said with a nod. He was the last to arrive when Saleen encountered the assassination, but he still managed to witness the last arrow shot by Eleanor. Although he did not know that that was an elf life arrow, he could sense the terrifying aura. He even knew with certainty that he would have died if he had been shot by that arrow.
The people around Saleen were all quite formidable. He and Lex were both excellent grade-6 mages as well. Gelatini no longer worried about Lex's safety. He closed his eyes and began to recall the advice that Stephanie had given to him regarding his spells.
Lex pulled Saleen along and they left quietly. After leaving the magic tower, she said to Saleen, "See, all mages are like this. They will begin their training the moment they feel like it."
"Aren't we the same? Lex, that assassin is still alive, you must be careful. You can stay with Eleanor for the time-being."
"Hmm, let's go over and see what my brother has given me." Just as the two of them were talking, an apprentice came over and reported that some of the Qin noble families had sent over their gifts too. The wagons have already arrived at the north gate.
From noon until the sky turned dark, Lex accepted gifts from tens of noble families before returning to the small building where Eleanor stayed. The garden was full of trees blooming with flowers. It was already autumn and several large trees were full of fruit. There was a pleasant fragrance in the air.
Saleen's two-hundred bodyguards were also staying in the small building. The highest storey was occupied by Eleanor.
Lex did not go up the building. After dismissing the guards and mages that had been following them, she pulled Saleen to a fragrant tree and sat down. Using the moonlight, she opened the inventory list of gifts from Emperor Ojarvis.
"Saleen, what do you think my brother has given us?" Lex tilted her head to lean against Saleen.


It is said that the true meaning of a mage is to fully understand the truth of the world. A mage named Saleen Metatrin goes on many missions as a normal mage to try and change his fate. This in turn led to many problems and adventures.
