At past seven in the evening, Meng Fan left Kodansha with the first draft of a contract in his backpack. The contract naturally consisted of the collaboration contract Meng Fan had requested with Kodansha. 
Of course, the collective contract wasn't completely catered to Meng Fan's requests, as he had to back down on some of his requests just like Kodansha did with theirs. These requests had been used by Meng Fan originally with the intention of leaving room to bargain as well, so he was satisfied in the end as long as they passed his bottom line. 
Of course, Kodansha had some requirements of their own as well, but it was all within the limits of the contract, so Meng Fan happily accepted them. 
This included some very unfair clauses, like Kodansha having the power to terminate the manga and its serialization at any time.
In addition, aside from the animation copyrights going to Kodansha, all copyrights for "The Legend of the Mountains and Seas" within the region of Japan also belonged to Kodansha. 
If "The Legend of the Mountains and Seas" were to film a Japanese movie or TV series, Kodansha would be in charge. 
Meng Fan wanted the manga to be serialized in Japan. Aside from wholeheartedly wanting to penetrate the Japanese manga market with a Chinese manga — this was like how actors yearned for Hollywood, basketball players for the NBA, ping pong players gunning to get into Huaxia, and soccer players for the European Cup — but he also wanted to create a stepping stone by signing a contract. 
For a manga to become popular, it required a serialization platform. Regardless if it was a manga publishing house or an online platform, it had to continue producing volumes. Otherwise, nobody would know of it, and it will not gain popularity. 
Most of the mangas in Japan all went through these three publishing houses for serialization, publications, and art book publications. If Meng Fan wanted his manga to penetrate the Japanese industry, he couldn't avoid these three firms. 
Even if this contract was not successful, Meng Fan could still await his manga to gain popularity in the mainland before selling it independently in Japan. But he still had to go through one of these publishing houses. 
This was different in Huaxia, where he could randomly find any platform and serialize his manga, publish it at a private publishing house, and gain popularity by selling copies by himself. 
Of course, even if it was in the mainland, if Meng Fan didn't have the skills as a base, the publishing house would devour Meng Fan like they do with other exclusive manga artists, regardless which platform and publisher he chose. 
Because he had the skills to back it up, he was able to negotiate with Kodansha without any reluctance toward their policy. 
If he authorized part of the copyright to his manga through the cooperation agreement he signed with Kodansha, making websites and publishing houses unwilling to sign with him, then Meng Fan would deal with the consequences himself. 
Otherwise, Meng Fan still had to consider the market back home in Huaxia as he negotiated with Kodansha. 
This time, they had reached an agreement and drafted up a contract, but it hadn't been stamped yet. One, Meng Fan needed time to find a professional to look through the draft, and two, he wanted to visit Penguin Animations for some final negotiations. 
Regardless if Penguin Animation agreed or not, Goro Takahashi will still fly out to Huaxia afterward to find Meng Fan and sign the contract. 
If Penguin Animation Networks agreed to negotiate, and it went well, then they would have requests of their own too, which would require more negotiation and discussion. Ideally, all three parties would come out of this as winners if the situation allowed. 
Meng Fan politely rejected Goro Takahashi's dinner invitation with several other colleagues, saying he already had plans. He had plans indeed. His second sister, Meng Cailian, had scheduled a Michelin-grade dinner for him, and Meng Caiwei, his third sister, had been excited to join them and also invited her friend Shiyua.
But Meng Fan didn't reject Goro Takahashi's offer to drop him off. After he said his goodbyes, Meng Fan gave the driver an address and gave Yixin a call. 
"Legend of the Mountains and Seas" had to be serialized in the mainland, and he was set on choosing Penguin Animation Network as his serialization platform. First, Penguin Animation Network was the largest manga hosting platform in the country, and second, he was used to working with them and too lazy to switch. 
Yesterday, Meng Fan very shamelessly awarded himself with 100 million Penguin points, followed closely by 100 sponsorships by an equally shameless Ironfan. Not only did they manage to list "Legend of the Mountains and Seas," which didn't even have a description yet, into the best-selling list, it also created the highest sales record since Penguin Animation's creation. 
The entire industry was boiling, much more so the web platform. 
"Legend of the Mountains and Seas" could be said to have blown up before it was even aired. Nobody even knew what the content would be, yet its popularity could rival some very popular manga artists' lifetime of work. 
The directing board from Penguin Animation Network had constantly been asking Yixin for updates on the situation, which made Yixin want to cry. What the hell do I know, I want to know too! 
After seeing his phone ring with a call from Meng Fan, Yixin immediately picked up the receiver and listened to the voice coming from the other end. Immediately, his expression changed. Then, his scream of excitement could be heard throughout the entire office. 
"What? You signed with Kodansha?" 
"And it's a collaborative contract, too?" 
"You're really in Japan!" 
"And you somehow managed to give the copyrights for 'Legend of the Mountains and Seas' in Japan to Kodansha?" 
"While you still have the other copyrights?" 
"You want to sign it with Penguin Animation Network?" 
"So, it's a Sino-Japanese collaborative effort to update?" 
"Ha, ha! How did the negotiations go? You promise this is true!" 
"Holy cow, how did you do it!" 
"Sh*t, I'll go right away!" 
"Meng boss, please, please keep your phone line clear!" 
After hanging up, Yixin hurriedly burst toward the editor-in-chief's office, leaving the rest of the employees on this floor confused and stunned. 
What was going on? 
If they weren't mistaken, it sounds like "Legend of the Mountains and Seas" managed to obtain a serialization opportunity at Kodansha, and it was a collaborative contract, too! And Meng Fan still had most of the copyright to his name and was planning to sign with Penguin Animation Networks right now! 
What was Kodansha? What was a collaborative contract? What was a copyright? The editors knew all too well and knew what this would mean. 
However, they couldn't figure out how Meng Fan managed to pull this off! 
This kind of operation was a hundred times more shameless than giving yourself 100,000 Penguin coins! 
Meng Fan hung up the phone and chuckled. This Yixin senior was not a calm one. 
To be fair, though, neither was Meng Fan. 
Regardless, Meng Fan was very excited to have the opportunity to debut his manga on a national platform alongside the Japanese market. 
He tossed his phone back and forth between his hands before suddenly remembering to message Wu Tong. Wu Tong knew of Meng Fan's purpose in Japan, so he had to let her know the good news. 
"So, you ran out by yourself, didn't you?" Wu Tong responded very quickly.

Meng Fan knocked on his brain. He'd forgotten about this.
Wu Tong quickly followed up. "(Smiley) Although I'm a little upset, still, congratulations. Come back soon. Before you come to me, go hang out with my Seventh Bro."

They chatted a few more before the car pulled into Ginza through the Chuo district and into the Tsukamoto Main building. Meng Fan departed the car and entered the basement floor. As he walked, the small narrow sushi shop appeared in his view at the end of the hallway. This was a famous sushi restaurant called "Sukiyabashi Jiro." It was the restaurant that Meng Fan's sisters had spent so much effort trying to reserve, and the place Meng Fan and Satomi Ishihara would be having their meal. 
At the door, Meng Fan paused and truthfully told Wu Tong. "Uhm, I planned this trip to Singapore and Japan a long time ago. My sister wants me to bring something for Satomi Ishihara, so we're going to grab dinner along the way. I'm outside the restaurant right now."

Lunch had passed, afternoon strikes and it's just around thirty minutes before the dismissal. Kiiro-sen once again entered the classroom probably for his last reminders in his homeroom.
One thing I didn't notice earlier was his shirt he is wearing. It is yellow. Even though we don't follow the language of the North, I can understand a handful of Japanese words or phrases. 
For example, Kiiro-sen's name (黄色) was from the translation of the word "yellow" in Nihonggo. Was that a coincidence? That I do not know.
"Before I start, I've been wondering for almost a year now on why some of you always call me 'Kiiro-sen'? I'm way more confused with that than the complicated things I discussed earlier. Can someone from the class answer?"
Almost everyone in the class burst out of laughter after Kiiro-sen's curious question. Well, the answer is pretty obvious though.
He showed a little troubled smile that perhaps displayed a sign of embarrassment. The only thing he can do is to chuckle and scratch his right cheek.
After the barrage of laughter, Akira stood up whilst still resisting some laughter.
"Kiiro-sen, the addition of '-sen' to your name is not being disrespectful at all. It actually is just a shortened term for 'sensei' from the North that means 'teacher.'"
"Oh, I see. As expected of an otaku. Then all of you can freely call me that from now on, I guess if you want to."
Just a side note—what Kiiro-sen meant about otaku, you're probably asking. It is something like your state or… Screw it. I can't explain it that well.
Pretty much, it's the same definition and I'm also of that kind. But what I mean is that otakus in this country do have a good standing, because we're not people who just watches anime, read manga, and slam posters of their favorite characters on their walls.
Well, I do watch anime and read manga but I don't buy posters.
If I were to say, it can also be educational because we thoroughly study the culture, places, and anything from the North.
That term is however not very much used.
Anyways, going back to where we left… 
Jean who is on my left started nudging my elbow that is rested on the corner of his armrest. Even though he wasn't looking at me, I already know what was the message he sent from the nudge from his arm.

That was the message of the nudge. Why is it because of me? 
I am actually the one who made that up and it had a successful existence up to this point. No one from our class knew that it was me, and Akira took the happy responsibility. I don't want to take credit of it because that's out of one of my rule: Minimal Exposure.

As I have said earlier this morning, we will have a self-introduction today. Just tell your name, age, and your club last year. For the transfer students, instead of the club, tell us your former school you attended last year.

As expected, the whole class stared at him because of that rather formal self-introduction. I do know that it's the form of introducing oneself in Japan, but his introduction is kind of stiff…

Shiro Kirishima and Ringo Akanami are in the row in front of us. Ms. Kirishima is in front of Nagi and Ms. Akanami is in front of me.
But Kaizo Ryuuya is Japanese, surprisingly. I never thought that I will have a classmate from the North.
Anyways, it's already the last row.
"Akira Bentley, 15, from the Art Club."
"Jean Ando, 15, from the Art Club too."
"Gin Sakato, 15, and I'm also from the Art Club."
"Nagi Kajima, 15, also a member of the Art Club."
Us four were from the Art Club and we are planning on renewing our membership there for our final year in junior high.
Not to brag, but I'm currently the one who can draw best in our group but I still think that my sketches are mediocre and far from the reality in the field of arts.
But Nagi is a fast learner. He can easily understand what we taught him from last year. He always tell us that he always exercise his mind. He's also the best in memorization in our group.
"Now that everyone has introduced themselves, I will discuss some things for you to keep in mind.
First, you are now allowed to bring your cellphones inside the campus. But once you enter the vicinity of the school, your cellphones will be restricted by force so the purpose of your devices will only be for communication and other school-related things except for social media and games in school hours. It's actually a hack, but it won't harm your devices.
It will also be shielded from the amplification if that happens again. We won't be held liable if any devices you bring inside the school got damaged unless it was from the incident.
Second, the Home Economics Room will be free to be used by students who wants to cook or wants to learn how to cook, even if you are not from the Cooking Club.

Once again, the sound of chattering surrounded the classroom. A few of the students already went home but majority are still chatting to their friends. It's a given because they haven't seen themselves for four months.
"Now, now. Want to go to the usual?"
"Is the clubroom open today?"
"Akira made a walk there before he went here in the classroom."
"Hai, hai! It is open."
"Alright then, let's go. I need to practice using a dip pen."
"You three go first. I'll just grab some books about anatomy in the library."

After Jean's proposal, we went to the clubroom of the Art Club. The look of the facility is way more fascinating than the past years. The materials are new, the papers are restocked, the Copik markers are all in one side along with the watercolors and acrylic paints, the brushes are new and they vary in sizes.
But what made me surprised the most is a framed art piece in the size of an A2 paper. The piece displays a picture of a man playing a piano. 6B and 8B pencil was used to sketch the piece. It's not a type of realism and it is very lifeless but still showed a dramatic effect. The use of perspective is very realistic and the depth of the shadows are three dimensional but not in a realistic sense. The top left corner which had the blankest space has a signature in it.
It was my sign.
"A-Are you serious…"
"Dude, was that-"
"I-I just literally came from the library and this is the first thing I see in the clubroom. Gin…"
"No way… Is this for real…?"
That was the last words I have said and everything was just cold air. The lights of the clubroom are still turned off, but the bright orange sunlight is from the windows subtly lit up the piece hanged on the wall.
It was my artwork that is now displayed in the clubroom. That was my final project I made after exiting third year of junior high and I put my all into that paper. It was the very first artwork that is not mediocre, to say the least.
After some time, I felt it once again. I felt what the true and real happiness feels like.
But after all of that, I still suppressed my happiness by being extremely calm. It's impossible for me not to hide my smile though. Even just for a short time, the 'old and real' emotions of mine came back.
"Way to go dude!"
"Ah…! Oi! That hurts you know!"
Nagi, who is behind me landed a blow on my back that made me thrust forward onto the long table.
"Who would have thought that the final piece you did in third year would be displayed here. I envy you a lot, you baka!"
"What the heck?! Even the glass of the frame is the same material in the windows in our room!"
"Enough of that...
Let's draw already. Got it?"
After that short celebration, we gathered some materials and papers to practice drawing. We were like idiots that had faces of amazement along with a smile that can easily ruin your day and blushing cheeks. You could say that we are like four kids who found themselves new toys.
But what we don't know is that there is someone watching as outside of the room.
It was a female student who perhaps is chuckling while watching our idiocy.

We stayed in the clubroom for an hour and after that, we parted ways outside the school gate.
I am still surprised how quiet the street is while I was passing by the usual sightings I always saw for four years. It was once a very noisy street where small patches of traffic happened everyday when it wasn't like this yet.
If one day the whole world became this quiet, how would the people react to it?
If one day the technology vanishes, how would the people live without it? Will it change their way of living? Or will they live a life alongside hatred?
I suddenly recalled a question I found myself wondering in the past.
"If you pick one of the two to change, would it be yourself, or the world?"

"…Scientific. They gave us earpieces if ever the incident happens again they say."
"Is that so?"
"And they say this was given to us for free so it won't be covered by the monthly fees because it was for our safety.

I went to my room after our conversation and changed to my house clothing. I picked up my phone and look if there are any messages sent to me, but of course there are none.
After some time, I realized that I forgot to tell mom about my project last year being posted in the clubroom. Well, I am not the type to brag about something so that's not a problem.
I heard a faint knocking on the door and I was asked by mom to receive the person knocking. It was a delivery man with a parcel with him. It was a huge cardboard box that is the same size as a small cabinet. Inside it were machines with the size of my sketchbook which is 9 inches in height and 12 in length.
"Mom, what are these?"
"It's obviously heaters for all the rooms."
Now I get it. Strangely, after summer where it ends every June, it slowly got colder than normal. The mornings are still hot but by the time the day hits the afternoon, the temperature drops about 27 degrees Celsius even if it is a very sunny day. The normal temperature last year was averaging about 31 degrees every afternoon.
"It's just 27 degrees right now. Why would we need heaters this time?"
"The forecast said that there is an 80 percent chance that this will be the normal temperature until halfway October. And they also said that in the following years, this may be normal afterwards."
("Normal. So that means I will quickly adapt to it then.")
"Does this mean it will be much colder by the time it will reach November up to midway March?"
"Most likely. We should probably expect that the temperature will drop to below 20. I bought these heaters in advance because I am weak to cold."
("That definitely is strange. We are currently experiencing global warming and it is getting worse as I speak. Why would this transitioning happen in the middle of climate change?
Wait, that's it. The climate change. But how? It's impossible for it to reverse and technology can never alter it. What is happening?
Change… Yourself… World…")
I don't know.
Who or what should really change… should it be me, or the world? I seriously do not know.
Actually, I don't even know the purpose of my life right now. I can't answer it with yes or no.
But what if, for example—the world is really changing. What would really happen to me, to us? How will it affect us humans if this world drastically changed? Will it be for the better or for the worse?
That, I do not know.
The only way to know the answers to those questions is to see what will really happen next. But one thing is for sure, we're not someone who can predict the future, nor change the past… and we can't manipulate time itself.
I'm so naïve and I still am.
For every question I ask myself…
My only answer is…
I don't know.
But I hope that I will have the answer in the future. May the catalyst of my finding the answer is a something or someone, I know that it will serve a change in me.
Two steps remaining.

"The world is unfair and unjust."

Is someone without his emotions can still be called 'human'? Or is one abnormal? Somehow, not everyone that appears to look human can't be technically human in this world.

Gin Sakato, a high school student finds himself in a normal life that he sought for and obtained. But everything changed just right after he was starting to discover his once lost emotions. But in the midst of the storm, Gin, and everyone that clung to hope continued to push forward in their normal life and world.

I started writing after release of chapter 39 of the manga. Everything happening after that in this Fan Fiction is made up by me. I did not read the raws or something. Because of this he single-handedly started a revolution and imprisoned most of the royalty of the Domino Empire. Also a Japanese Transmigrator like Sansui.

Listening to Eckesachs story about his masters past Sansui our Protagonist wakes up from the Spirit Will which imprisoned his mind for over 500 years. What will he do now since he realized that he was betrayed and lied to?


Note: I hate how good the manga started and how stupid it proceeded. I am trying to rewrite it to my liking but still use common sense while doing that. I am from Germany so excuse my mistakes while writing.

Obviously, Isaac had been reading too many yaoi manga, since after Jess had introduced that world to him and his friends six months ago. And now he, and of course his friends along with Jess, had begun to use the terms like seme and uke and neko whenever they discussed yaoi, which they did often, like once a week at the apartment. Of course, no one dared to bother them during their serious yaoi conferences, especially during their heated debate when they preached to each other like a bunch of Roman philosophers about their top pick of the week.
A neko, meaning cat in Japanese, or a uke, in a gay relationship, meant the bottom partner or the female role when it came to sex. A seme, obviously, meant the top or the male role.
"I'm not telling you," I said.
Isaac pulled a face. "I bet you're a neko. I just can't see you pushing Aiden down and doing whatever you want with him."
Well, he was right on the money on that one. There was no way I'd be able to do that, I had to reluctantly admit. I mean Aiden was bigger and stronger than me, after all. Unless, of course, he was willing to submit and just lie still as a log while I did all kinds of erotic stuff to him. Then again, I couldn't see Aiden doing that, considering he could never keep his hands off me. He was always the one seducing me and ended up fucking me until I was dazed and breathless. He was playing dumb. But of course, I persisted. Fuck, but I knew what it felt like being gay, to feel like there was something wrong with you, that maybe others, especially your own brothers, won't accept you for who you are, for your sexual preference.
"That you…" I sighed, scratching my head. "That you're gay."
The moment I said those words, I tensed, my stomach flipping in dread. Shit! Was I being too blunt?
Isaac turned to me then, a tight smile playing about his lips. I sighed in relief. He wasn't mad with me. Thanked God!
He said, "Yeah, I'm gay. I didn't think I was until you came out. I mean I do like to…" He stopped abruptly, as if he realized that he shouldn't say anything further.
I continued for him. "Wear women's clothes and makeup and that sort of stuff?"
Isaac's face went even redder. "How?"
I smiled. "I borrowed your laptop heaps of times, remember? You tend to leave your browser open. You do buy lots of stuff online, don't you?" I chuckled. "I blame Mom. She made us wear those dresses when we were kids and now it's stuck with you."
Isaac chuckled. "Yeah. Though you can't blame her. I mean I would have discovered I liked that sort of thing sooner or later. It makes me happy when I wear those cute dresses, you know. I feel like I can fly or something. I mean you have to admit I look really cute, right?" He looked at me. "Shit! You don't think I'm weird?"
I shook my head. "You're not weird. You're unique, Isaac. I know no one ever says it in the house, but you're the sunshine. You're always so cheerful and loud. Your presence and your voice lightens the mood when hard times hit."
There were tears brewing in his eyes, and I freaked out. "What?" I panicked. "Are you crying? Why?"
Isaac got up and wrapped his arms around me tight. "Haru, you're such a nice brother. You're so cute. When we get back, let's play dress up again."
I shook my head. "No way!" I said, though I was laughing.
Once he removed his arms and released me, he said, "Can you keep it a secret?"
"You mean you being gay and cross-dressing?"
He nodded. "When I'm ready, I'll tell our bros. But I'm not ready yet."
"They'll be all right with it, I'm sure," I said. "I mean they accept me."
Isaac chuckled. "Yeah. I know that." We were both quiet for a moment when he changed the topic completely, which was very typical of him. "So, where are we eating tonight?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Don't know. Aiden or Reo must have already decided on a place. They planned this trip together."
"Man, Tokyo is amazing, right? Everything is so cool," he said. "I can't wait to explore."
Because I was curious about something else and I couldn't help myself, I asked, "Isaac?"
"Hm?" he responded as he reached out for a remote control sitting on the bedside table. He pushed on the power button and the TV screen in front of us switched on. A Japanese show about a man dining alone in a random small restaurant came up. The actor, or rather the character, who seemed to be in his forties, was currently eating katsudon in a small café, and he was enjoying it to the max, in the subtle Japanese way.
"You don't really like Connor, do you?"
Isaac turned to look at me, his eyes large and his cheeks bright red. "Not really." He paused, as if in thought for a moment, and then continued, "I mean he's such a bully, and he has picked on me since we were kids. I mean does he dislike me that much that he must pick on me? Like do I annoy him or something?"
Really? That was how Isaac saw it? Though it didn't look that way to me. I mean Connor seemed to enjoy being around Isaac, and of course, the other way around. Isaac was always so excited and perky whenever Connor visited. Did he not know that that was how he behaved?
I said, "If you dislike it, why don't you just tell him to leave you alone?"
Isaac shrugged. "I did, but that orc keeps coming back."
It was then the bathroom's door opened and Aiden came out. The moment I saw him, I swallowed hard. The man was gorgeous, especially after a shower when his blond hair was wet and his tanned skin flushed hot.
He said, "Are you bitching about somebody behind their back, Isaac?"
"Not bitching, bro," Isaac said. "Just stating facts."
Aiden wasn't listening, however, as he shooed Isaac away. "Go get ready. We're going out in half an hour. Don't blame me if Japanese people stare at you because you reek."
Isaac sniffed at himself and then pulled a face. "Shit! I do stink." He rushed off the bed, and within seconds, he was out the door.
I laughed. Despite how it seemed, Isaac was a clean freak, like the rest of us brothers.
