Chapter 25

The blood was pooling rapidly under the soldier's body, leaking from the grizzly bullet wound on his back.

Harry could vaguely hear Sergei and Alex swearing up a storm, and the girl they'd come to rescue working herself into hysterics despite her barely conscious state. Had he cared, he might have been impressed by that. Or suspicious.

Harry grunted in pain, curling around his injured side even as he scooted over to the fallen man.

"Captain," he wheezed, leaning over the man, trying not to lean any weight on him and not succeeding as well as he might have wished.

He glanced up, seeing Sergei take charge of Mr South's niece, and Alex on the phone to summon Marcel. He looked back down, and knew that it was too late, even with magic there was no way that the Healer could make it in time, and using a portkey would kill him even faster.

"Tell," Captain choked, coughing up blood. "Family… love… them." His chest rattled wetly as he gasped for air that wouldn't come.

Harry nodded sombrely. "I'll tell them, you have my word. Thank you for protecting me." In a rare display of affection, Harry gently stroked the man's hair from his forehead, leaving a bloody streak across the clammy skin.

Captain smiled, his eyes already slightly glassy from the blood loss. "Good… kid." He wheezed, trying to find the breath to say what was on his mind. "Proud… you… like… mine."

Harry pressed his lips together tightly as Captain's body shuddered and relaxed, seconds before Marcel arrived with a loud snap of apparition. Reaching up and ignoring the jolt of fire through his ribs at the movement, Vahan gently closed Captain's eyes for the last time.

Harry sat in the office at The Haunt, sipping a cup of tea that Marcel had spiked with a gentle muscle relaxant and painkiller. Harry and his Hounds had been worked over thoroughly, and Marcel had nearly had a fit when he got them all back to the infirmary and scanned the damage. Mr South's niece had been sedated, and was being kept in a discrete corner away from prying eyes until Vahan was ready to take her back to her uncle.

Harry had decided to inform the Andrews of what had occurred before attending to his temporary employer though. His people came first, after all. Hearing a knock on the door, he waved the three Andrews in and quietly invited them to take a seat.

"What's going on, Harry?" Mama Andrews asked quietly, seeing the serious look on the normally friendly boy's face.

Harry rubbed a hand over his newly healed face, wincing slightly as he brushed his freshly repaired and still tender nose. Stalling slightly, he called Jinky, and requested some tea for the Andrews.

Jinky nodded, and taking note of the tension in the room, made an executive decision to spike it with calming draught.

Once everyone had been provided with the laced tea and taken a few nervous sips, Harry took a deep breath.

"Today, Captain was supposed to meet the Hounds and I at a place that my father was considering buying. I was going to be meeting Father there, so we'd asked him to come for added security, and to get a look at the place since he looked after security for the muggle properties."

Mama Andrews sat her tea cup down on it saucer, the china clattering slightly as her hands shook.

"Please tell me you aren't saying what I think you're saying," she whimpered, closing her eyes in despair at the grim expression on the boy opposite her.

"Mum?" Greg asked, taking her hand and glancing worriedly between her and Harry.

"He's dead, isn't he." Daniel's voice was flat, the statement hanging unnaturally in the silence of the office.

Mama Andrews covered her mouth, trying to stifle a sob.

"I'm very sorry," Harry offered softly. "Someone took a shot at us, and Captain jumped in front of the bullet to protect me. He died before Marcel could get there to help. He asked me to tell you that he loved you all very much."

Greg pulled his distraught mother closer, offering a hand to his little brother to pull him into their group huddle.

Daniel ignored the offer, glaring furiously at Harry. "So, my dad is dead because of you?"

Harry watched the younger boy steadily, but didn't refute the claim.

"Daniel," Greg called, his voice cracking slightly from grief. He grabbed his brother's hand and tugged him until he was settled on Mama Andrews lap, held closely between them.

Harry rose and quietly exited the room, closing the door behind him as he left the family to their grief.

Sighing heavily, and wincing at the twinge of pain from his strapped and still healing ribs, Harry rested his forehead against the wall for a moment, willing away his own sorrow. He couldn't help feeling a twinge of guilt over the situation. The entire job had been a mess; poorly managed, poorly planned. He rubbed his face again, careful to avoid his nose this time.

He had no idea what the Andrews would do about this situation. It was entirely possible that they would leave and never speak to him again, in which case he'd have to have Alex or Sergei either modify their memories or dispose of them entirely. He frowned, not entirely happy with that idea. Of course it was equally possible that they would continue working with him as they always had, in which case he would add a form of widows pension to help account for the loss of income for the family. Had Captain died doing something stupid he wouldn't have bothered, but the man had died on duty, through a stupid fuck up of Vahan's. Compensating his family and paying for the funeral was the least he could do.

Waving to Alex at the door of the infirmary to show he was ready, he had a quiet word with Marcel about the Andrews in the office, then followed the Hounds and the still sedated girl into the garage. Marcel had healed the worst of her injuries, but she still looked a little rough.

Placing her gently in the car, they piled in and pulled out to the street. Their sleek black limousine sped smoothly down the quiet street under Sergei's steady hand, while Alex sat with Harry and the unconscious girl in the back.

Harry could feel Alex eyeing him, but ignored him completely. He didn't feel like talking, or going over any business his ever efficient Hound might have brought with them. He settled back into the comfortable leather seats with a sigh, closing his eyes and letting his head drop back. He was aching and tired, and wanted nothing more than to go to bed and sleep for a few hours. Or days. He imagined his Hounds weren't fairing much better. Marcel had grudgingly let them go, only the fact that he would be beaten bloody if he tried to interfere with business by enforcing the bedrest he claimed they needed staying his hand.

"Sir?" Alex asked quietly, unusually tentative.

Harry grunted in reply, not bothering to open his eyes.

"What's the plan when we get to Mr South's?"

Taking a deep breath, Harry let it out gradually and forced himself to open his eyes. He glanced at the intercom to make sure Sergei could hear the conversation, then turned to Alex.

"Hopefully just a quick drop off, though Mr South may want to chat a bit. Official story is that while we lost one of our team to a sniper, the rest of us got in and out without a scratch. There will be no mention of how many of us were on that team. We stopped long enough to get her treated, and then we bundled her in the car and dropped her back to him as agreed. We'll give him a copy of her medical report, and hopefully that will be that."

Alex raised an eyebrow. "Do you think it will be?"

Harry quirked a tired smirk. "Probably not. Mr South will probably ask for a debrief from us with as much detail as possible. Something that I'm disinclined to agree to, and not just because I'm hellishly tired. I'd like to keep as much of our methods and the like quiet; add to the mystery a bit. He'll probably also ply us with drinks, which Marcel specifically ordered us not to have. Apparently alcohol doesn't go well with the potions we were given."

"So we get out as soon as we can manage without being rude, and give as few details as possible?"

Harry nodded and settled back in his seat again. "Pretty much. Our actions aren't secret, so don't get too hung up on it, I just want to keep people guessing about what we're capable of. Which is why I insisted on getting cleaned up before we dropped her back."

Alex grinned in response. "Unscathed from a situation everyone else died attempting? Nice spin."

Harry flashed a grin. "Thank you. I thought so."

"What about the Andrews?"

Harry sobered. "We'll discuss it later, after we've rested. I've got a few ideas, but it depends in large part what they choose to do."

Nodding, Alex took the hint and settled back as well, both of them resting as much as they could for the remainder of the trip.

The following weeks were stressful as Harry began handing over the daily running of his businesses to Sergei and Alex, as well as spending as much time as possible with Connor and the other kids. He hated that he would have to be away for so long, a sentiment that his charges agreed with wholeheartedly.

The loss of Captain weighed heavily on them all, and Harry did his best to support his kids even as he juggled the rest of his tasks. Greg had stepped up, taking over as much of his father's role as he could; something that impressed Harry enough to order his Hounds to give him a crash course in everything they could cram into him. As a result, the now twenty year old was fast on the way to becoming as invaluable as his father before him, if not more so.

Mama Andrews poured herself into the kids in an effort to distract herself from her grief. The children found themselves receiving more lessons, as well as being showered with affection, something that they were gradually getting used to but still found uncomfortable.

The only real problem was Daniel. He clung to his belief that Harry was to blame for his father's death, and refused to be dissuaded. Harry's silence on the issue frustrated the rest of the adults. The tension that hovered around the youngest Andrews when Harry was in sight was enough to make a person flee the room, and everyone wondered how much more the simmering child could take before he blew up.

Things finally came to a head a week before Harry's birthday.

Harry was having a teddy bear's tea party with Elise on the floor on the playroom, chatting quietly with the youngest girl about the merits of pink over purple and enjoying the downtime. Connor, Mark, Lewis, and Lizzie stared stonily at each other over their cards, practicing their poker techniques over wagered chores. Sophie and Brian were tucked into a corner, giggling as they plotted their next prank. Harry had called for a day off from training since the kids had all done very well in their end of year school tests. Apparently all of them were fighting for top spot in their respective classes. Harry was thrilled at the effort they were putting in, and had made his approval clear, rewarding the kids with downtime, a small shopping trip, and personal gifts all 'round.

He looked up when Sergei stuck his head into the room, and sobered at the man's serious expression. Excusing himself, he exchanged a look with Connor who nodded at being left to keep an eye on the other kids.

"What's happened?" Harry asked as he slipped from the room and followed Sergei out of earshot.

"It's Daniel. He's…" The Russian trailed off, looking pained. "I'm so sorry Boss, we should have seen it coming."

"Dead?" Harry asked calmly, even as he settled into a chair opposite Alice.

Sergei shook his head. "Not quite, but he gave it a fucking good try."

Alice served them some tea, frowning prettily. "What happened?"

The hulking mercenary slumped slightly, taking a sip from the delicate white china teacup Alice had handed him. He set it gently back on its saucer and rubbed a hand over his face.

"From what Alex told me, he hasn't been handling his dad's death well. We all knew that of course, and that he still blames Harry for Captain's death. Apparently he was a bit more unstable than we'd thought, and in hindsight, having him around Harry in such a state was probably making it worse."

Harry grunted slightly in irritation, encouraging Sergei to get to the point.

"He got into Marcel's potions, swallowed everything he could get his hands on, then climbed onto the roof and jumped off. He's in the infirmary at the moment, but he's not in good shape. Marcel's working as best he can, and he's stable, but we don't know what lingering damage there might be yet, if any."

Harry sipped his tea, fighting to control his annoyance at the situation. "And Mama Andrews?"

"Not doing so well. She blames herself for not focusing on him more. I'll be honest, Boss, I think once Daniel is released from the infirmary, we're going to lose them. We should start looking for someone to take care of the Ghosts now, since Marcel won't be happy about playing babysitter any longer than strictly necessary."

Nodding, Harry drained the last of his tea.

"Worst case scenario, we'll get the Goblins to make another golem. It would probably be more secure anyway."

Sergei placed his cup on Alice's desk, ignoring her faint scowl, and scratched his chin. "You're right. Want me to get your father to organise it?"

Harry smiled slightly. "I'd appreciate it. Setting him up was the best decision I've made yet I think. And not just because I can offload most of my paperwork onto him."

Sergei chuckled. "I'll bet. It certainly freed up a massive chunk of your time. I've been meaning to ask, how are your language studies going?"

Rolling his eyes, Harry pouted. "I've gotten the basics of Mandarin and Japanese, I'm fair at conversational Russian and German, and relatively fluent at Latin and French."

Sergei's eyebrow twitched up. "Impressive. I guess that's one of the benefits of being a super brain, then!"

"I suppose. Picking up a new language is easy enough once you understand the speech patterns. After that it's just a matter of memorising the words and their contexts."

"Still, that's an impressive achievement, Sir," Alice interjected quietly. "Especially since you started teaching yourself and have only had a bit of help polishing it in the last few years. However I think we've strayed from the original topic. What do you want to do about the Andrews?"

Shifting in his seat, Harry thought for a moment. "Does Greg know yet?"

Sergei nodded. "He was taken over as soon as he got back from the run he was on. I don't know what he'll choose to do, to be honest."

"Alright. Alice, I'll leave you to look after the kids, Sergei and I are going to play the concerned friends and see what's what. I'll be by to collect Connor once we're done there."

The trip over to The Haunt was mercifully short, and Harry took the time to work himself into the right state of mind. It wouldn't do to show his irritation during such a volatile situation, and not just because Daniel and Mama Andrews still had no idea who and what Harry really was. It was amazing what people ignored when they didn't want to see something unpalatable, he mused. Honestly, this whole thing with Daniel might be a blessing after all. He could get the little annoyance out of his house and away from the potentially damaging information he might stumble over, and if he got a golem to replace Mama Andrews that would be another potential leak plugged. The only sticking point was Greg; he really was too valuable to lose.

Noting that they were pulling into the garage, Harry scrubbed his face a few times and ruffled his hair, then scrambled from the car with a worried look and hurried into the infirmary with a stoic Sergei in tow.

"How is he?" He asked, striding over to where Mama Andrews sat next to Daniels bed, holding the unconscious boy's hand.

Mama Andrews stood with a sniffle and wrapped her arms around Harry, hugging him tightly. "Oh, Harry, thank you for coming, love." She sniffled again, wiping her eyes with a soggy tissue. "Marcel says he'll be alright, that he won't have any lingering issues, physically that is. Emotionally, well, we'll have to wait and see." She turned to look at her sleeping son, biting her lip anxiously. "I don't know what to do to help him. He's so angry, so hurt…"

Harry rested a hand lightly on her arm. "Whatever you need, let me know and we'll work it out. I'll help in any way I can, and I know Father will too."

Mama Andrews gave him a watery smile and patted the hand on her arm fondly. "Thank you. You're a good friend to us."

Harry smiled slightly, and turned to Greg, walking over to join him in propping up the wall across the room from the occupied bed. "You doing ok?" He asked softly.

Greg shrugged, his arms folded tightly across his chest. "Got a job for me?"

Harry shook his head. "No. Focus on your family; you're needed here right now."

Greg pursed his lips, nodding slightly. "Daniel isn't going to let this go, you know that, right?"

Nodding, Harry sighed. "Yeah. I'm thinking it might be better for him to be away from all of this, have his family back to himself again. He isn't doing well here; I don't think he ever really did."

"Want me to gently encourage them to go?"

"That depends. What would you want to do? Would you go with them?"

Greg frowned slightly and tilted his head to eye the boy next to him. "Would you actually let me go if that's what I chose?"

Harry's lips pursed in a moue of distaste. "Yes, if that's what you want. You've proven yourself capable of keeping your mouth shut, and as long as you continued to do that I see no reason to prevent you leaving. I'd really rather not though. I have plans for you."

Greg looked at him in unadulterated shock. "You'd really let me leave if that's what I wanted?"

Harry rolled his eyes slightly, his irritation rising. "I dislike repeating myself, Greg. There are only a small handful of people in my organisation that I would let leave without X-ing them out. Annoy me too much and I'll remove you from that list."

Greg stifled a grin, and turned back to observing his mother and brother. "Yes, sir. But it's irrelevant at this point anyway. I agree that that Mum and Daniel need to be elsewhere, but no matter what they decide, I'm staying with you."

Harry's lips twitched into a pleased smile, which he promptly smothered before anyone could see it. "I'm glad to hear that. See what you can do about your mum and Daniel, but don't force the issue. Let them think it was their idea, for Daniel's mental and emotional health or something. I'll make sure they're suitably cared for financially either way."

Pushing himself off the wall, Harry walked back to Mama Andrews, and after a quiet word of sympathy, headed back to The Nest. He had a tea party to finish.

Dumbledore smiled to himself as he sucked on a lemon drop. Everything was in place for Harry's arrival in the next school year. All he could do now was wait.

He pondered what Harry would be like, and how much his personality would need to be tweaked to mould him into what he needed to be. If the Dursley's had done their job's properly, he should be malleable enough that a few comments dropped at the correct time would steer him onto the right path without the need for the suggestibility and control potions he had stored away just in case. He really didn't want to use them on the boy, there were far too many potential ways for it to be detected or disrupted. No, a more subtle approach would prove the most effective, he was certain.

"Aunt Lucida! Aunt Myrna!" July called out while searching around the house for her aunties. Then finally, she saw them both in the garden, planting some flowers and harvesting some fruits and vegetables in their backyard. 

 "Aunt Lucida! Aunt Myrna! I've got an important issue to discuss with the two of you." She said while chasing her breath while her aunts looked at each other with fear in their eyes. "Can we first go inside. It's something important and it is bothering me since early this morning." She continued while leading her aunts into the living room. 

 "Child, what's in the rush? Have you been identified again.?" Aunt Myrna said while following into the living room and seated well in the sofa set. "Well I think without any long talking we should pack up our things right now." Aunt Lucida said in such disappointment. "Leaving this place will be too much painful for us. We're already fond of the town and its people." Aunt Lucida continued with a tearful eye while July's closing the windows and curtains as well as the doors and making sure that no one will hear them. No one.

 "It's not something like that. This time its different." July said and release a heavy breath. Preparing herself to talk. "Today at school—" 

 "Oh dear, July you're already old enough to stop story telling everything that happened in school during the first day. You've been doing that since kindergarten." Aunt Lucida said while getting up in the sofa making a way to the garden. "Come on Myrna we need to finish gardening and cook for the lunch after." 

 "Aunt Lucida, this is serious, and I'm already done with story telling's since I entered High School." July said trying to convince her aunt. 

 "Well, perhaps we should listen to our child first before anything else… right Lucida?" Aunt Myrna said as Aunt Lucida make her way back to the living room. "Continue my child." 

 "Today at school after my first class I've gone to the school garden where I put a magic wall barrier. And a moment later after a sat down and closed my eyes… there was a boy who entered through the magic wall. But he doesn't have any idea that it is a barrier, he said he was just bumped by students while he's roaming around the school… Aunties… I've got a feeling about him, neither good nor bad. I think he's not just an ordinary boy." July said. Her aunties looked at each other with their eyes widened up. "He said they're just new in town, and just moved in three days ago. And I'm in a kind of surprise that no one even noticed that a family moved in in town. He's bothering my mind with some questions about him. And I have a bad feeling with this year since early this morning. I think Aunt Lucida is right. We should move out." She continued in a rush while walking back and forth in front of her aunties.

  "No. We're not moving out. He may be a help or a danger." Aunt Lucida Said. "We need to know that boy's name." 

 "His name is Nathan Daniels. He just lived in this same neighborhood." July replied. 

 "Hurry up Myrna. We have a food to prepare for a special greeting."

 So, it did happen, a baked mac has been prepared by July's aunties, while she's reading a book in the living room and waiting. 

 It's already three o'clock in the afternoon, the sun strikes in every window of the houses, giving enough heat and light. July's family's ready to go and they asked their neighbors and friends to come and greet the new family in town that hasn't been seen and greeted by anyone ever since they came. Mr. and Mrs. Shepherd have joined them, the homeowner's officers have come too. And any other neighbors who wanted to know the new people in town. 

 They stopped at a glamorous simple house at the end of the street which has been emptied for years and is in use now. The neighbors walked towards the door with their breaths being caught by the beautiful flowers in the front yard as they walk. When they finally arrived in the main door, Aunt Lucida pushed the doorbell. 

 A beautiful woman with short brown hair and almond eyes in its 40's opened the door and is surprised on what she has seen. Her neighbors are in her front yard and a woman with short blonde hair with white strands in its 50's is in front leading the whole neighborhood and holding a newly baked mac with a smile in its face. "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen…how may I help you?" the woman said with its sweet voice and a smile in her face. 

 "Oh… we have noticed this house is currently in use after a long time, so we guess there's a newly moved family in town which turns out to be accurate. We, your neighbors are grateful to meet and have you and your family in town and we're sorry that we're late in greeting you. We haven't even noticed your family." Aunt Myrna said with a kind and sweet voice which she has always been. "This town is a one big family so please consider this as a tradition dear, and we wish to know your whole family. As what this whole town have been doing." Aunt Myrna continued.

 "Oh, that's so kind of this town, I'm Mrs. Daniels. Catherine Daniels. I'll call my kids and husband. Please enter and make yourself comfortable." Mrs. Daniels said as she turned her back and called for her family while other neighbors left but the Hilton's and the homeowners officers stayed for it is their duty to know everyone who's living in town. 

 The Daniels arrived and introduced themselves. The Daniels children are all male, two little twins Matthew and Michael in its kindergarten, and a teenager, Nathan who's with the same age as July. 
 The two old Hilton's eagerly looking at Nathan. There's a great feeling of bond between the two families and the two old Hilton is very sure about it. They feel an energy that is pulling them towards the Daniels, but they didn't show anything about it. 

 "We hope to have an extraordinarily strong tie between you and the town Mrs. Daniels." Mrs. Jackson said, one of the homeowner's officers. "If you have any problem, the people in this town is very eager to help. You and your family are welcome to every home Mrs. Daniels, so we are hoping people in this town is also welcome to your home." She continued with a smile. 

 "You have a nice and handsome children Mrs. Daniels, what a beautiful family you have." Aunt Myrna said with a delighted smile. "We will be going now; the baked mac is a welcoming gift for your family." She continued. 

 Everyone left with a smile in their faces as they departed ways. While on the way home, the two old Hilton's discussing about the energy they've felt. 

 "The oldest child is something. And the family is meant to be bound with us. Its neither good nor bad." Aunt Lucida said with a feeling of fear.

 "I'm fine with them. They seem look good Lucida." Aunt Myrna replied

 "But looks always deceives Myrna. We are wolves, the God of the night sky sent us to protect the moon. July can't be seen nor identified. That's what we've promised in the altar." Aunt Lucida whispered with the tone of order in her voice.

 "Oh Lucida, I know about that. And I meant no intention to broke what we've promised to him." 
 July, on the other side. Is walking behind them not minding what they're arguing at. She's minding the boy and his family. "Who is he anyway?" July asked suddenly. "The God of the night sky? You never introduced him to me. Why am I to be protected?" she continued but her aunties seem to act like they never heard anything. 

 As they returned home, her aunties go directly into their kitchen to cook for the dinner while July's gone into her room. She throws herself into the bed and think all the things that had happened in the whole day.

 The Daniels are bothered about the bond energy that pulls them towards one of the people in their neighborhood. But they don't know who since they all arrived at once. But they we're sure its just between the Hiltons or the officers of the homeowners. 

 "That energy, it neither bad nor good. And we're stuck between moving out or staying since we just moved in." Mrs. Daniels said walking back and forth in front of her husband. 

 "We can't move out." Mr. Daniels said. "They might suspect us, and besides, it isn't really a bad feeling. We are the lions Catherine, we must protect the sun, as what we have promised to the God of Daylight." He continued with fear in his eyes. While Nathan on the other side, is listening to them behind a wall then run towards his room. 

 Both families have their duties and positions. The moon and the sun have their guardians protecting them. But neither of the entities of the sky is confused and bothered by each other. Whether to trust or not, to run or to stay, to live or to die.

Adam's (P.O.V)

I took junior to Glady Hill academy for his entrance exam. "Don't be nervous you can do this son." I said to him. "The exam will take about 3 hours you can leave, or you can wait at the cafeteria down the hall." And older woman announced to everyone. "Good luck buddy I'll be right here when you're done." I assured him giving him a hug. He walked in to the classroom and the doors were shut. I stood outside the doors waiting for him. I was so proud of my boy taking such a huge exam. I could see a few mother staring at me as they chatted. "Are you that boys' father?" One asked. "Yes I am." I said. "Wow you are so young did anyone tell you that you look a lot like Dark Scorpion." She said. "I get that a lot." I said and walked away. "He's so handsome what a lucky woman the mother must me." They giggled I sat in the car waiting I didn't want to be stared at all day by those women their flirting was annoying.

My phone rang I looked at the unknown number "Hello?" I answered the unknown caller. "Adam Hayes its Black raven calling with an update. Please meet me at Tavern on main in 20 minutes." . He said before hanging up. His call was so brief and direct. I looked at the time junior wasn't going to be done anytime soon so I headed to Tavern on main it was a bar at the other end of town it was about a 40 minutes drive Once I arrived I looked around at the busy bar with drunk folks falling around the smell of cigarettes and alcohol was heavy. I noticed a man with a hat and black long trench coat sitting at the table it had to be him who else could look so mysterious. I sat on the stool beside him. And ordered a drink the man slipped me an envelope I looked at him as he drank his drink in silence not saying a word.  He was older man with a dark scruffy beard his eyes bags showed years of sleepless night or staring at a computer screen and a large scar on his cheek. He was small and kind of chunky with salt and pepper hair peaking out of his hat. I opened it and started looking through it. The first file was about this Sofia Marshall woman Junior mentioned. She was a financial controller at Mystro Inc. And the Ex of one the Daniels Sons. She had a son with him and met Honey at Juniors school. her son and junior were friends. I briefly scanned through her file I couldn't believe how much detail he collected from this woman and he even collected information on her ex Steve Daniels and how they split up. I saw a few pictures of her and Honey together. Her life wasn't important to me I could care less about her, so I put her folder aside and flipped through Devon's folder. He was the son of the CEO who was next in line to take over
He was a business man who had a clean record. He was never in the public eye and was secretive about everything. His family was arranging a marriage between him and a woman named Michelle of the Flinn family. The Flinn family was a rich family that owned casinos and jewelry lines. They where truly a rich and powerful family. That's when I looked at a few pictures with him and honey. One was him standing next to her as he helped with her car, there was a few more of Honey and him going for a joy ride and the last picture almost made my heart stop when I saw him kissing Honey in front of Mystro building. I closed the file up and clenched my fist in anger. My blood was boiling. I didn't even open ger file because I was so angry. How could she move on so quickly and with him of all people? "Your woman Honey has a very interesting story…and mi very amazed to have known her father." Black raven suddenly said bringing me back from my daze.  I looked him side way wonder what was so interesting about Honey. And how did he know her father? "how do I know her father you are probably wondering I've never taken a case that involved my story in anyway, but I felt substantial and added my and Honey's father's Details." He gave a closed mouth smile deepening the wrinkles around his mouth I could now see a clear view of his case that's when I noticed he had an eye patch covering his left eye and so much more scars around his nose and cheeks.. I opened her file and started reading.  Honey started working with Mystro as a receptionist about a week ago it was Sofia who helped her get the job. And Honey was now recruited by Bradly Jackson a Famous directly at Mystro he was remaking the movie my mother stared in Endless love and Honey was the lead. I smiled to myself the thought of Honey acting and starring in a movie. Was this part of her revenge to be famous? I flipped through it some more and noticed she moved in with her mother, he even details their address. I filled through it some more when my eyes landed on Honeys fathers' information. Nicholas Daniels was born rich Between Richard Daniels and Agnes Daniels he had two brothers Names William Daniels and Harry Daniels. William was the oldest but Died in a plane crash over twenty years ago along with their Parents Richard and Agnes. Harry was the middle brother and Nicholas being the youngest.  Nicholas had a passion for music and wanted to be a musician, but his father wanted him to follow in his foot steps and be aa business man like him. Nicholas met Heather at an outdoor music concert and fell in love he didn't tell her who he was and where he came from he married Heather in secret and he ran away from home to be with Heather. He found out that his brother Harry had coordinated the death of his brother and parents in the plane crash so that he would inherit the family riches.
 I stopped reading and sweat broke out all over my body. It was cold chills at how the hell no one knew how Harry Daniels was a murderous maniac and Honey was his niece I felt a sick feeling in my stomach thinking about the fact Honey and Devon were cousins and had no idea. "so, where do you come in this-" started to say and noticed Black Raven was gone. I was so caught up by all this that I didn't notice him leave. I continued to read. 
 Nicholas lied to Heather saying he cheated and on her and wanted to live with his lover and child, but he was just protecting them because he knew his brother Harry would come for him and his family. Nicholas met with and old collage friend who was an excellent computer expert, together they started Mystro Inc. originally Mystro was as computer software developing company it was very successful and slowly branched off into other departments such as Gaming and eventually entertainment when Nicholas who had a strong passion for music finally got to do what he dreamed of. But then Harry who didn't know anything about business at the time was losing the family business and lost billions due to incompetency. He needed money to save the family business and he needed it quickly. He saw his Brothers company was taking off and so he framed his brother sending him to jail claiming Mystro has his own. He sent hitmen to the friend's house killing and raping his wife and two daughters and beat that friend near death. The friend lost his left eye and they cut his leg off and left him to bleed to death. That friend survived, and that friend is Black raven.
 I was shocked to the core. Honey's Father is in jail at this moment? he never left her intentionally he was framed ad falsely imprisoned by his brother Harry. I sat there still shook at what I just read about Honey's father. I quickly picked up the phone and called back Black raven I had so much more questions I needed to know more. he answered the within the first ring as if expecting my call. "Adam I have given you all the information what more do you want?" he asked. With obvious annoyance. "I know but I need to know does Harry know about Honey…and Nicholas is he still incarcerated? Why haven't you fought for your company why hide?" I asked. "slow down kid first of all, no Harry doesn't know that his brother ever had a kid because Nicholas ran away before Harry could find out. Second of all, yes Nicholas is still in jail and would like to remain hidden from Honey so don't bother telling her anything. And thirdly, I hide because I am an old man with no fight left in me. Harry has taken away everything that I love so I just want to live what ever little life I have left in peace." He explained, and my heart ached for him and losing his family.  "I see, thank you for everything." I said about to hang up.  "Wait." He suddenly shouted.  "please do not Tell Honey anything I haven't seen Nicholas in years when I last saw him he told me he didn't want anyone to know about him." he said. "I understand."  I said as I walked out of the bar heading back to my car before my phone rang. It was Scarlett. "What are you doing?" She asked. "I'm busy what is it?" I said not in the mood to talk. "Well tonight I got invited to a party and I was wondering you could come with me." She said. "I can't I'm busy today." I said eager hang up. "Please come it's that Steve Daniels birthday party and I hate Steve but so many of my friends are going and I can't say no." She begged. That's when it hit me. "Steve Daniels was that's Sofia's Ex. So that's means Devon was going to the party and Honey would be his date. I needed to find out more and make sure Harry didn't find out who Honey really was or he might order a hit on her as well.  "I'll go." I said.
 "really? Thank you so much baby I'll call you later with details." She said before hanging up. I arrived at juniors' school I sat and waited for him to finish up. As I was alone with my own thoughts. How did all happen things were supposed to be good I had so much plans for us after we got married but now it's over a big mess with so many obstacles in our way.  I pushed those thoughts aside. Right now, my focus is to keep Honey safe at all cost. 


I kept reading more about Devon and Sofia. Black Raven even collected data on their past as well. Devon and Sofia were friends Devon's sister Stephanie was good friends with Michelle Devon's soon to be fiancé. But what I didn't get was did anyone know Devon was seeing Honey? Does his family know since they want him to marry into the Flinn family? What ever the reason I was glad they where secretive about it, if Harry found out then things would be very complicated. I looked at the time and Juniors exam was finished, and I shouted for joy when I found out Junior was the only one that past the exam and with an average of 97% I was so proud of him that I took him for ice cream and asked if you wanted anything. "no daddy I already have everything I need. But all I want is to have a family dinner date with you me and mommy. We never got to spend any family time together." He said with a sad look and I felt terrible. That was the only thing that I could not give him right now. "I promise we will have a family date very soon right now mommy is busy working and so am I but don't worry we will spend more time with you." I said, and he smiled at me. 
I took junior home to the address Dark Raven described in the file. I arrived at the apparent and knocked on the door. Heather opened the door and her eyes were fixed on me with surprise. "Grandma!" Junior shouted giving her a hug. "Hi baby how was the exam?" She hugged him. "I passed it was so easy grandpa." 
"that's so good baby why don't you go get changed I made supper." She said as he ran towards the apartment, but she kept staring at me every time she spoke. 
"Hello Heather, it's been a while." I smiled at her. " Adam I almost didn't recognize you I thought a younger Andrew came to my door you look so much like you father now." She laughed and welcomed me in the apparent. I looked around at the very small apartment wondering how all three of them were living here so long. It was old and cramped. "How have you been?" I asked her. "I've been great what about you how is life in the fab lane?" She asked. "Its been good. I should have come sooner to see you I'm sorry I don't even have an excuse." I said truthfully. I've been very busy that I didn't have time for anyone. "Oh no need to apologize son I know how busy the life of a celebrity can be." 
 "How has junior been doing?" I asked. "He's such a bright boy and so full of energy sometimes I feel like we have a grown man when speaking to him." She laughed. "That's true he is smart" I commented I so badly wanted to ask her some questions and see what little information she knew about Nicholas "...Heather can I ask you what kind of a person Honey's Father was?" I asked her. she looked taken back as her eyes darted around. "Nicholas? Why do you want to know all of a sudden?" she laughed. "I've always been curious about him I want to know was he anything like Honey?" I asked. "my goodness no, Nicholas was nothing like Honey he was fun outgoing and a loud spoken man he always spoke his mind and you know how Honey is..she has the soul of an old lady." She laughed and so did I. "how did you meet?" I asked her. "geez let me think…oh that's right Nicholas and I met at an armature concert at Palmer Walk Park it was like love at first sight we didn't even know each other but there was a strong connection. we started dating shorty after, he was young and lived alone since he was an orphan and didn't know his parents a few weeks later we got married and Honey was born. He was a great father a loved Honey. I guess you already know the story that he up and left us one day and I've never seen him since." She explained. She looked sad and I knew by the look on her face she loved him. if only she knew he loved ger as well and only lied to protect her and Honey. "well I need to get going please excuse me." I said as I stood up. "I'm sorry to keep you here you must be so busy." She said walking me to the door. "no, I enjoyed the conversation. Thank you." I said as I gave her a hug.

Honey's mother is getting remarried to a man named Andrew who has an extremly good looking son named Adam. Honey is having trouble adjusting to her new life  but how will she get along with her new famous step brother? never did Honey ever think she would fall in love with him. considering he's younger than her, and he's the son of her mothers fiance. when Adam breaks her heart, Honey sets out on a journey of revenge against Adam she joins the entertainment world with only one mission in mind. to destroy adam hayes. with the help of a new friend she successfully starts off her mission with a bang. 
 Adam hayes leads a secret life. he's a normal guy that likes to have fun. but as soon as that phone call comes in he is the worlds biggest music icon. and every girls heart throb known as the infmouse Dark Scorpion. everywhere he goes he leaves a trail of broken hearts he is considered to be a playboy but when he fell in love he fell hard. he never imagined it to be her.

Everyone was lost in the darkness. No one could see that the group was slowly getting smaller and smaller. "Where is everyone" Andrew said. Dan looked around, and to his surprise only Andrew and El were following him. "Nick and Gianni must be looking for Charles....right?" Daniel said nervously.    "I hope that is why they separated from us, hopefully they'll find him and get back to us before we find the meteor." Andrew replied as they more carefully traveled through the halls. El quickly ran past the rest of the group. "What's the matter, El?" Andrew said as he turned around. That's when he noticed  that someone....no something was following them. Andrews slow and careful walk through the hall turned into a full on dash. Daniel finally looked back, and saw a shadowy hand reach out towards him, and he decided to follow in Andrews footsteps and dashed to the others. They both followed El as she seemingly ran through the halls randomly. They all ended up feeling as if they were running in circles for hours.

Eventually El lead them to a well lit room at the end of one of the halls. "Is it just me or do all of the halls and rooms we have been through look the same?" Andrew said to the others while trying to catch his breath. El sighed deeply and told them, "I had a feeling that getting to the meteor would not be easy, I had heard rumors that the scientists had disappeared from this building and all of the military that had been sent to this place had either died or went missing..." Daniel and Andrew where completely baffled, this was the first time they had heard of this. They both only had came here to get a souvenir that would impress the ladies at school, but now their lives were on the line. "Don't panic Dan, it's probably fine..." Andrew said trying to calm everyone, which didn't work since he had turned so pale and looked like he was seconds away from crying. "I've been keeping track of how many times we had turned, and the blueprints of the place that I had grabbed.....they don't match in the slightest...it's almost like this whole building is alive. Moving and changing as we run through it." Daniel had told the increasingly nervous group "I have the feeling as if this whole building was somehow altered and now it's attacking anything that is trying to get to the meteor." El added on to Daniels statement. That's when an idea came to the group. If there building had some sort of defense protocols installed, than they would have to find some sort of way to get past its sensors. "Charles!!!" Andrew had seemingly shouted out of nowhere. "Even though he yells a lot, he knows quite a bit about sneaking around and finding weaknesses in defenses, I mean you know how many times he has sneaked up on me at school and scared me?" The trio had one goal in mind. To get to Charles, who assumingly, had found the others by now and get to the meteor and leave.

Andrew dashed out the door. And then Daniel. Finally El ran out the door into the splitting hallway. All three of them had ran in different directions, to be chased by what they had assumed to be some sort of security measure the building had been set up with. Before they had split up they had a plan. To find Charles to help them sneak to the meteor. But El had thought of a plan at the last second. She gave them each a container to keep pieces of the meteor in if they found it so that only one person had to find the meteor. If all three of them split up, not only would at least one of them find the meteor and collect some for the rest of the group, one of them would find the other group and tell them to get out and wait outside, and one of them would be able to distract the security. All three ran into the halls, confident as heck. This all changed when all three had noticed they were being followed by the shadowy hands. "What type of security has shadowy hands installed!" Andrew thought. They all came to the sudden realization as they ran. These halls were haunted. No one knew that the meteor had given life to the halls they ran through.

Daniel ran until he noticed the shadowy hands stop following him he more carefully looked through the halls looking for the meteor or his friends. That was when he noticed a barely visible door as the darkness of the halls slowly faded away. He opened the door that unveiled to him the meteor they had been looking for. "Jesus, that took way too long...It's already been like two whole hours since we got here." he said as he walked up to the meteor. He examined the meteor. He noticed its rigid shape and strange color. Unlike his expectations the meteor was a green color, and the sides were sharp rather than rounded. It almost seemed as if huge chunks were carved out of the meteor already. He tried picking it up."hEcK" Daniel had said as he cut his hand on these sharper corners. He tried picking it once again, still to no avail. Finally he tried one last time, channeling all of his strength to pick it up. He ended up actually lifting it. "It's not that heavy, it would be easy to bring this back once were done.." Daniel said. An alarm suddenly rang through out the whole building. Red flashing lights took over and loud ringing sirens blasted his ears. "BREACH IN THE METEOR'S CONTAINMENT AREA!" the sirens rang. Daniel grabbed the whole meteor in a panic and sprinted towards where the exit was. He passed hundreds of locking doors, that had been closing behind him. He ran as best as he could with the meteor. He ran down a bunch of confusing halls for what seemed like hour. Eventually he finally had gotten back to the entrance. The rest of the group, was there waiting.

A group of friends get strange powers and need to find out who is trying to take over their home.

After looking through my content, I realized that it was right for them to take it down, as it was sensitive material to some of my followers. 

I love all of my followers and I didn't mean to offend anyone. I'm really happy that this subject was brought to my concerns, and I'll do my best to do better.

I've also decided to add titles to my chapters because it was really hard finding out what happened in each chapter. Otherwise, nothing dramatic will change in this story. There is still sexual content in this book, so if that's not for you, I advise you to not read this book. I do warn if there is sexual content in a chapter though because I don't want to shock anybody. 

Other than that, this book contains a lot of swearing (as it's two girls that hate each other and bicker a lot) and there is mention of some recreational drugs. There is a lot of alcohol in this book, as I really know my alcohol and it's typical for people of this age to be doing things like that. Every character in this book (except some family members/classmates) are of age at 18+ years old. 

In correlation to that, this book is set in the same setting as my other book (Tainted Innocence) at Kingsley High School in California. Some characters from the other book are mentioned here, but it does not ruin the plot line of Tainted Innocence and vice versa. I did this to emphasize how small their community is (especially the LGBT+ community in their high school.) 

Anyway, I think from this experience I'll learn to be careful. I love this book, and I love June and Adrienne's blossoming relationship.

Adrienne Andrews stole my crush.

Again.

I glared at the girl with long dark hair who was now sucking a blonde guy's face off in the middle of the dance floor. I downed another shot of vodka as I mumbled a "fuck you" to her silently.

"June, you shouldn't be so mad. Connor's a dick anyway." My friend Blaire commented as she sipped her beer. I looked over at her freckled face, her blue eyes shining with amusement as some of her blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders. I frowned, wondering why she was so amused in the first place.

"He was nice to me," I mumbled, "Plus, what's so funny anyways? Adrienne always steals the guys I like."

Blaire rolled her eyes then took away the vodka bottle I was about to reach for. "Relax, it's a party, and plus, everyone knows that Adrienne is a lesbian. She's just making out with him to piss you off, and it's pretty easy for her considering that you're blatantly glaring at them right now."

I looked over from Blaire to Adrienne, suddenly becoming furious as I realized what she was saying was true. To test the theory, I grabbed Blaire by the hand so we'd be out of sight. We waited there for a few minutes, then I turned the corner to see if they were still making out, and true enough, Connor was dancing with some other girl! That bitch! That asshole!

I glared over my shoulder as I heard Blaire snicker behind me because she knew she was right all along.

Damn that Adrienne Andrews.

I've always hated her, she was the bane of my existence. She was always out to get me, from the time she pushed me down the stairs in the second grade, or the time she ratted me out for cheating on a test in the fourth, or especially the time she stole my spot as captain of the volleyball team!

And lately? She was always getting guys to turn her way, or not like me, or would spread rumors that would hinder me from getting any cute guys. One time she got a lesbian like her to kiss me in the middle of the cafeteria! Ew! As if I'd ever like girls!

I continued to watch as Connor grinded on his new victim, I winced, realizing that I wanted to date that drunken asshole. I grabbed the vodka bottle back from Blaire then started to take a few swigs from it, almost gagging from the taste of vodka. I groaned, realizing that I was going to regret that later.

Blaire rolled her eyes, "You really shouldn't have done that." She trailed her eyes over to a guy in the corner awkwardly holding a red solo cup. "And, he is my cue to leave! Goodluck with hating on Adrienne more..." Before I could protest she was already skipping over to the cute guy in the corner.

So, now I was on my own.

And drunk.

I was such a lightweight.

I took a few more swigs from the vodka bottle until I decided to move to another room to dance in. It was dark in this room, minus the various colored strobe lights, and it felt like a sauna due to all the dancing people grinding on each other. I downed the remaining remnants of the bottle then set it down on some random table by me, before jumping into the crowd. I moved my bottle in sync with the music, moving my arms above my head and not giving a shit about anything at the moment.

Because fuck Connor and Adrienne.

After some time, the colored lights were starting to look blurry, and I could absolutely feel the alcohol start to violate my body. I felt really hot and as I danced, it felt like the loud music was wrapping itself around me in tune to the rhythm.

By now, I could feel someone's warm hands slither their way around my body, moving theirs in sync with mine. I welcomed their touch, as it felt like a million lightning bolts caressing my bare skin. I was wearing a thin white long-sleeved crop top along with some tight black leggings that hugged the curves along my body. From my dancing, my top rose up a little bit, causing the stranger to run his gentle hands up to my ribcage, whilst grinding against my butt.

I let out a soft moan, before taking the person's hands and guiding them down to my hips. The person didn't hesitate to move their hands to my butt, squeezing it gently, before sliding them back to my hips. My breath started to deepen as I felt the stranger's hands pry at the hem of my leggings, teasing my skin by dipping his hands inside of them, causing me to feel small electric shocks on my thighs. The inner heat in-between my legs heightened, as I wanted the stranger to touch me anywhere possible. I didn't care that I didn't even know the stranger's name-or his face for that matter, I just needed a good fuck.

I arched my back so I could reach my hand behind my back around the stranger's neck, feeling his thick long hair tickle my hands, as the stranger slid his right hand down to in-between my heated core. I moaned loudly as he found my extremely wet core, stroking his fingers along my soaked panties. I felt like I was on fire, and this stranger was my only release to put that fire out.

I bit my lower lip as I felt him move my panties to the side, then teasing my swollen sensitive button. It felt like centuries, as the stranger only teased me by moving his fingers up and down my lower lips and clit, making my frustration grow.

"Touch me," I growled out, pressing my body closer to the man.

I felt the person's body chuckle as the stranger pressed their fingers harder against my clit, causing me to become even more frustrated. However, my body instantly froze as the stranger leaned over to whisper in my ear.

"Are you sure about that, June?" I couldn't breathe. My body was frozen. I now realized why the stranger had such long hair, or why their touch was so gentle-it was because the stranger wasn't a man, it was a woman. And that stranger? Definitely wasn't a stranger at all, as it was the one and only-Adrienne fucking Andrews.

I suddenly jumped away from her grip, turning to face her in absolute shock and anger. What the hell did she think she was doing? Why the hell did I not notice it was that whore?

I looked at Adrienne, realizing the amusement twinkling in her dark grey eyes. Her long, black hair was pulled in a tight ponytail, showing off her high-cheekbones and slim face. She was smirking, which showed her god damned dimples of hers. I took in her outfit, seeing that she was in a maroon flannel that was opened to show off her black bandeau and a similar pair of black leggings as I was wearing. She looked hot-no, wait, she looked fucking ugly. What the hell June? Why were you checking out the enemy? Especially when the enemy just had her fucking fingers down your pants! That's basically molestation!

"What? Did I shock you?" Adrienne said while she still smirked. That bitch.

"What the fuck did you think you were doing?" I growled out, ignoring the people that were bumping into me on the dance floor.

"I was going to finger you." She rolled her eyes.

"What-the absolute-fuck?" I was about ready to hit Adrienne Andrews.

"What? Don't deny that you wouldn't have loved that." She winked before taking her fingers to her lips, then licking them slowly while staring into my widened blue eyes. "Because you were soaking wet, and you were basically asking for it." She then licked her lips while my whole face heated up.

"..I! I did, was not!" I ground my teeth in anger as I drunkenly slapped Adrienne. It wasn't that hard, as my coordination was most likely off, but I watched as her eyes got a little darker.

However, it was replaced by her infamous smirk as she swatted my hand away. "I'll keep it in mind that you like it rough." She bit her lower lip before she turned away from me, stalking off into the crowd before I could angrily yell at her again.

I let out a frustrated growl as I marched off into another direction, smiling as I found an untouched bottle of Jack Daniels. I quickly opened the bottle before taking a few swigs from it.

Now, here I was, at some random party, while my best friend was probably getting laid, while I was here drunk and sexually frustrated out of my mind. I was going to drink enough so I couldn't remember this stupid night, I was completely done with it.

All because of that stupid Adrienne Andrews.

Stonewall Penitentiary

"Ay, Carter, I got a new shipment of smokes in, you want one?" 

Ryan was in his rusted prison cell, sitting on his worn-down cot, reading The Count of Monte Cristo for the hundredth time. It was one of his favorite novels; it taught the value of having patience in order to get one's vengeance. It had been ten long years since Ryan was brought to Stonewall Penitentiary, not a moment went by that he had not been seething in his rage, some days he thought it was the only thing that was keeping him from becoming the cursed monster he was. As Captain, it had given him a purpose, a cause to stay honor bound and sane. Now that he was holed up with a bunch of level x criminals, he could feel his humanity slipping away little by little. What was keeping him from giving in to the primal urges of the beats within? Every day Ryan had to battle his demons, when he had a purpose it was easier to block them out, but sitting in this God forsaken hell hole day in and out for years on end was starting to wear thin on his self-control.

"Trying to quit." He stated not looking up from his book.

"Your loss." The inmate muttered before moving on to the next person.

Escaping was harder than he had initially thought it would be, Stonewall was located on the planet Mars, even if he did some how make it out of the prison, he would need a ship to get off the planet itself. A few months ago, a new prison guard had started, normally Ryan would not have thought much about it but after seeing the man, it was hard to mask his surprise. 
"On your feet inmate 478!" came the voice of the new prison guard himself, "Bunk inspection." 

Ryan raised his brow mockingly but stood up, book in hand, watching as the man started rummaging through his things. Not like there was much to inspect, even after all these years, Ryan only had the basics in his cell. Sink, Toilet, Cot, and his little ol' ratty book. The guard flipped his cot over, pulled his pillowcase off, checked inside the toilet, under the sink base. When he was satisfied that there was no contraband, he stepped back in front of Ryan, "What's this?" he asked talking the book from his hands, flipping it open.

"Just a book, sir." He stated lowly.

The guard laughed harshly, "You into this pussy crap inmate? Looks like someone needs to get a little more ass, unless you like to take it up the ass, that would explain your poor taste in reading material." He laughed in Ryan's face.

Taking a calming breath, Ryan looked at the guard gritting his teeth, "Eh, just something to keep me busy."

The guard's eyes went cold as he tossed the book at Ryan's face, it hit the floor with a thud, "I did not give you permission to address me inmate, read your garbage, and keep out of trouble. I would hate to have to come back in here to clean your mess up." He said on his exit. 
Leaning down Ryan picked up his book and returned to his cot, turning it back up right, he sat back down. Opening the book, he looked down to see a piece of paper between its pages, that did not belong. A note.

"Plan is in motion, it is time to go Captain. Right before the Supper Bell, bust your sink off the wall, I'll be in. Take my key card and myself hostage. Spacecraft is at the ready, but we only have a ten-minute window, so do not be late, unless you want to spend another ten years in this hell hole."

At the note, Ryan's blood rushed in his ears, too long had it been since he had felt the raw emotion of hope. It soured to life within him and gave him a renewed sense of purpose. Ryan had had his doubts when he first realized that Officer Daniels had taken a job as Stonewalls new Prison Guard. Honestly, he had no idea what to expect seeing his friend there, the man was risking his own life for Ryan's. If Daniels was caught, they would execute him for helping a fugitive escape or worse, put him in this prison too. Once they were out, they'd all be fugitives of the law, hunted down, there would probably be a bounty on their heads. Could Ryan really take that chance and put his friend in jeopardy? Looking at the note, Ryan crumbled it up and went over to the toilet, flushing the evidence down the drain. Closing his eyes, he rested his forehead against the cold brick of the wall, he needed to get out of here, he needed to take on the Elders, and he needed to change the world. How could he do that stuck behind bars? No, escaping outweighed his moral compass, his friend knew what he was risking getting him out of here. Ryan moved to look out his cell at the clock hanging in the common room, supper bell was about to ring, it was now or never. 

Ryan looked around him and with one steady motion he brought his fisted hands up, and with his inhuman strength bore them down on the steel basin sink. It came off with a crash around him, water sprayed, coating Ryan's navy jump suit. An alarm blared around him, the sink must have had a censor in it, signaling the guards if it was tampered with. Ryan turned to the sound of shuffling feet, multiple guards came rushing towards his cell, he found Daniels and locked onto his target. The guards surrounded him, taking in the busted sink, and put together that he had purposely broke it. 

"Stand down inmate 478!" one of the guards yelled at him holding his electric baton in the air.
 
The situation was almost humorous, did these people honestly think that their toys could harm him? Ryan rushed the guards without another thought, reaching out he gripped the front of two of their uniforms, and with a sick crunch smacked two of the men together. Skulls cracked against one another, blood poured from their noses, he let them fall to the ground mewling in pain. Looking around him he waited for the others to come at him, not surprised when none of them did, they instead looked at each other unsure of what to do next. Ryan did not give them any more time, he looked at Daniels who nodded in return, the man brought his baton up and stepped toward him bravely. Taking Daniels arm, he bent it behind him, squeezing his hand, making him drop his weapon. 

"Back the fuck up or I will rip the head from his body!" Ryan yelled, pulling the badge from Daniels waist band. The guards hesitated. Ryan bent his friends arm a little more making the man yell out in anguish. "I said back the fuck off, I will kill him, and then all of you are next." He finished in a threatening manner. His eyes had taken on a wild glint and he looked the monster that everyone claimed him to be.

"Please, I do not want to die." Daniels cried to the men, who looked uneasy but slowly stepped back out of the cell, letting Ryan have room to push Daniels out in front of him, using the man as his personal body shield.

He had to hand it to Daniels, the man was a pretty decent actor, "I'm leaving, if I'm followed, I will kill him." 

"Do not do something you will regret inmate." One of the guards shouted at him.
Ryan was too busy walking towards the gate that separated him from freedom. They were almost out. The other inmates were starting to realize what was going on now, the prison erupted in utter chaos, everyone started jumping around and yelling. The guards tried calming them down, threatening them with solitaire confinement but nothing was working. The riot had already started, one guard found that out the hard way, when he was shanked in the throat with a melted down toothbrush. 

"Ryan it is now or never, once the prison goes under lock down, we will be stuck in here." Daniels talked loudly.

Alarms were buzzing loudly, lights flickered, a speaker came on overhead, "Automatic shut down in 10, 9, 8- " 

"Ryan!" Daniels yelled.

Ryan pushed harder through the throng of inmates in his way, taking the badge he waved it in front of the scanner. Denied. Ryan cursed under his breath and tried it again. Denied. Looking behind him, he watched as all hell broke loose, inmate stabbed inmate. Guards were being beaten and pretty sure sodomized. Ryan cracked his knuckles and moved Daniels behind him, "Shit." He whispered and ripped the gate off its hinges, slinging it behind him it wiped a slew of men in its path. 

"Jeez Ryan," Daniels stated gruffly, "Hurry up the ship is waiting on us." 

Following Daniels out of the facility he looked around at his freedom, it had been ten years since the last time he had seen beyond the bars of his prison cell. Freedom had never smelt so good, and considering it smelt like fried wires, that was saying something. If Ryan's internal core did not have a built-in cooling mechanism, he probably would have died from the intense heat that was coming off the planet in waves.  Looking at Daniels, Ryan was wondering why the man did not look to even be breaking a sweat. 

A rush of air whipped around over their heads, looking up Ryan took in the sight of a space craft lowering to the planets surface, this was really happening. The sound of men yelling was coming in close; Ryan could hear them on their tail, they needed to hurry and get out of here before it was too late. As soon as the space crafts door slide open Ryan and Daniels were running for the entrance, not so much as sparing a glance behind them.

"Hang on boys." Thornberry announced as he closed the entrance behind them, raising the ship up off the ground, he brought up the touch screen and swiped the engines power level to full throttle. "Time to hyper speed it out of here." 

Once they were out of immediate danger, Ryan looked at Thornberry, Daniels, and to his surprise Redding. "Alright who wants to tell me what the fuck is going on?"

There was an exchange of looks shared among the group, before they looked at him. "You are not the only one who is different Captain." Daniels stated. "We did not know that you were a Skin Walker till after the battle with the Armenians, and after we found out, we could not just let you rot in prison."

"What do you mean I am not the only one?" Ryan asked speculatively. 

Thornberry put the ship on autopilot and walked over to him, holding out his arm he ripped the skin down his forearm showing metal insides. Ryan blinked, "You are a Skin Walker also?" he asked in surprise. 

"Yes sir, infused with the DNA of a HellHound." Thornberry stated.

Daniels grimaced, "Dragon." he raised his hand.

Redding pushed off from the chair he had been sitting in and stood, "Manticore." He announced gruffly. 

"how is this possible?" Ryan voiced the question out loud but really it was to himself.
Daniels looked at him, "You were created first Captain." He said softly and handed him a folder off the table. "After I found out what you were, I went searching for answers, until that moment I thought it had just been myself, Thornberry, and Redding that were created. It took a few years, but I found the files on Project Walker, buried under mountains of red tape. You were subject X, the very fist creation to survive being reassembled and cursed properly. They had plenty of failed attempts before you but eventually they got it right. When the success with you was a for sure thing, they created more of us."

Ryan opened the file and looked through the words with a fuzzy head, it was a lot to process that there were others like him, that he was not the only one. 

"Thornberry and Redding were created with me; we were let out of the gate together. It had been a rough beginning but when we found your ship Captain, we found home. As you know that is not an easy thing to find." 

Swallowing, his throat suddenly felt dry, "We cannot stay together, we are all going to have to split up. They will be looking for us, we are all going to be wanted. It will be safer for everyone is I am not found with you, as of now I am the only one they know of that is a Skin Walker, as far as I am concerned, they can think that forever. There is no need to expose yourselves any further." 
"But where will you go Captain?" Daniels asked looking like he was working up to his protest at Ryan's suggestion.

"I am deeply appreciative of everything you all have done for me, but I have business on Arya that I need to take care of. I will not tuck my tail between my legs and run away. The Elders need to be taught a lesson, but until I can do that, I will need to gather reinforcements and find a new way of life." Ryan stated looking at them all. "When I find a way, I expect to contact you all, will you stick beside me once again and follow me in battle?"

There was a collective, "Ayes" that filled the spacecraft. 

Ryan smiled at his crew, "Alright boys, drop me off at he nearest space station, I shall find my own way from there."

The ally was deserted, the faint glow of a streetlight filtered through the darkness and Ryan made his way down the street slowly. The Arya enclave was not a safe place for him to be right now, after what he did, nowhere was safe for him. Getting out of the area seemed like the only option or take his chances will the Elders, which he didn't see going all that well right now. Letting out a sigh he could see his breath on the air, it was getting cold out, that time of year where Vampires liked to come out and play. Ryan had stolen a spacecraft and had landed it on Arya a few days ago, he had been trying to find work, and a place to stay. It did not take long though for wanted poster to be plastered everywhere. It was making it hard to stay under the radar, he did not know what his next move was going to be. If he were a smarter man than he would forget his foolish plan, take off in his space shuttle, and never come back to this planet again. He would spend the rest of his days traveling in space and living day to day. Ryan was a foolish creature though and had way too much animosity for that simple way of life.  Ryan stopped mid step and turned around; someone was following him. 

"Ryan Carter." The dark figure stated. 

Ah shit, "What do you want?" He called out. Taking a breath, he was preparing for a fight. There were bounty hunters after him, men who wanted him dead, yet here he was conversing with a man that appeared out of the shadows. Smart. Ryan went to turn around and start walking off when the man was suddenly in front of him, in better view Ryan could see the man's features. The brightest blue eyes he had ever seen before stared at him, hollow, they stared through him really. That kind of gaze could only belong to a truly tortured man. The hair on the back of Ryan's neck stood at attention and his heart sped up, what did this guy want from him?

"I need you to do a job for me and in return I'll give you something you are desperately seeking at the moment." The man stated.

Rolling his eyes Ryan grimaced, "and what pray tell would that be?"

"A safe place, a place where you could live the rest of your days free from retribution for the things you've done. My name is Asher Thorne and I offer you a haven at Thorne Castle, home for supernatural outcasts, like yourself." 

Thorne Castle, until now, had always been a fairytale. Elders told it to their young to send them off with good dreams at night. A place where everyone lives in harmony and the grass is so green the deer cannot even bare to graze it. Asher Thorne himself was rumored to be a story as well, a mystical God that had defied death more times than any man dared. That man was now standing before Ryan, taking him in a new, Ryan let out a small breath he hadn't realized he has been holding. Looming over Ryan's six foot five, the man before him did indeed throw off some intense aura, almost powerfully compelling in its might. His hair was an off shade of auburn, dark, yet had hints of rust, and those dull lifeless blue eyes of his were almost enough to send a man to his grave just looking into them. 

"What in the holy realm of Arya could I possibly do for you, the great Asher Thorne, the man who would make the demons of Tartarus bend to their knees?"

Asher snorted…the man snorted at me, Ryan thought in disbelief. "I need you to do what I cannot. I need you to go on a little rescue mission, you see my sister has went off and gotten herself captured by Aliens." He said the last word bitterly. " I cannot intervene if I wish to keep the peace, politics can be a nuisance sometimes but if I want to keep my happy little abode the Switzerland it is right now, I can't start a war with neighboring enclaves or in this case otherworldly. I must be smart about my next move and what better plan than to plant an inside man in their midst. Everyone knows you have a bounty on your head, it'd be the perfect plan. You can get her in and out right under their noses." 

"Oh yeah piece of cake, I only see one itty bitty problem with your plan, oh great one. How the hell do you expect me to find your sister and get out of a place I've never been before?" Ryan asked exasperated. 

A look came across Asher's face, a truly terrifying glimpse and for the first time since seeing him, Ryan faltered and took a hesitant step backwards. Asher followed him immediately like a tiger about to pounce, " Do not take me for a fool Carter, I know that you have escaped from the highest security prison the enclave have, I know how many people died at your hands, I know that you are probably the only man that can break my sister out. "Racking a hand through his hair, Asher looked bone tired, "You are my last hope, unfortunately. Do you think I like the fact that the only person I can ask for help from is a convicted felon, a man that has slaughtered people, and a filthy mutant to boot?" He bit out. 

The words didn't hurt anymore, Ryan had been called way worse, the sting faded quickly. "What's her name?" He asked softly.

"Ava, her name is Ava." He stated. Ryan nodded and let out a little breath before turning on his heels and starting down the street, "wait where are you going?" Asher yelled his voice slightly raised.
 
"I'm going on a suicide mission." Ryan retorted disappearing into the night. There was only one slave ship that he had heard of that was capturing citizens of Arya and selling them on the black market. The ship Onita, ran by the Crotoxins. Ryan did not really want to go on a rescue mission now, but you also never look a gifted horse in the mouth. That is what Asher Thorne was to him. The man had come at a perfect moment, right when Ryan desperately needed this, so he would do this mission. He would recuse the woman, and in return he would have a place to lay low and formulate his next move. What could go wrong? He thought to himself wistfully. 

Asher stood there a moment longer after Ryan Carter had vanished into the night.  "Oh boy, what have I gotten you into Ava?" He whispered before blinking himself away.

after seeing that Luna and Ilona were doing well against Elijah's henchmen, alecs started walking towards him
 "Well, sir mikaelson, you and your brothers went after my granddaughter and massacred your family, my descendants, tell me a reason why I shouldn't kill you?" Alecs asks how calmly you walk in front of Elijah and front his
Elijah, who did not understand the situation he was in, said:
 "because you cannot kill me, I am immortal, and it is arrogant of you to come and threaten me, whether Katarina's grandfather or grandson, nobody antagonizes my family and lives" and then to finish speaking, he punched the face of alecs, alecs didn't move and let Elijah's fist hit him in the face and Elijah's punch didn't even cause the slightest damage to alecs, Elijah's fist broke with the impact
Elijah then cringed and looked at his hand in pain.
"What the hell is going on?" Elijah wondered as he looked at his hand and then looked at Alecs, who in turn said
 "Well, now it's my turn". Alecs punched Elijah in the chest, who sent him flying several meters until he hit a large stone that was destroyed by the impact.
Elijah started vomiting blood and was struggling to be conscious, but, all of his internal organs were crushed by the impact,
 alecs came very close to him and said
 "Pathetic, I expected more than one of the original dead apostles, but what is this disappointment? Why is it that my granddaughter fell in love with someone as pathetic as you?" Asked Alecs as he pulled Elijah out of the broken rock and threw it on the floor
"Who are you? How are you so strong?" Elijah asked weakly as he tried to get up from the floor, alecs looked at Elijah with a thoughtful face

"I am what you would call elder, many dead apostles confuse elder with elder, and think that power comes with age, but that is a lie! Elder is an evolution or a second stage of the vampire's power" also speaks and looks Elijah, wide-eyed
"So all this time ... we were not the strongest vampires in the world, but just relatively powerful normal vampires" Elijah speaks with his head down and loses the sparkle in his eyes, realizing that he was not everything he believed himself to be
"Unfortunately unlike you, I have the honor and I can't bear to terrorize the weak, I'll tell you how to become an elder, just kill an elder, this is the easy way" when Alecs spoke of the vampires who were fighting with Luna and Ilona, Who were pretending to be dead in order not to die,
overheard Alec's conversation with Elijah and his greed speak louder and he stood up to attack Alecs, but before doing anything, a black lightning bolt hit his head and destroyed it. and the now-dead vampire fell to the ground
"hide your bloodlust when you attack someone, you idiot" alecs speaks and turns his attention to Elijah
"This is a kind of magic that only the elderly can use, but it seems like I talked too much and you know more" alecs speaks and takes Elijah's neck and stands at eye level
"Elijah mikaelson, you will never talk about elders with your brothers or anyone and you will always know that there are many out there who can defeat you and your brothers very easily, but you will never be able to warn them about the threat, goodbye Elijah mikaelson live your pathetic life, knowing that you are insignificant in the general context of the world and come find me when you have a power like mine, I can crush you like the insect you are "just spoke and put a stake in the heart of Elias
"As?" Elijah asks when his body starts to turn gray and before he loses consciousness, alecs replies
 "Elders can hypnotize normal dead apostles," alecs replied and left.
"It looks like you finished the job very well," said Alecs to Luna and Ilona that they had already finished massacring Elijah's subordinates.
"Master, why did you tell him about the elders?" luna curious question
"Good question my dear maid, why only elders and natural alphas can evolve into ancestors and nobles if someone steals power that he or she will not be able to evolve, so I just told him that way, after all, I don't want him and his family become too strong "Alecs speaks as he disappears, Luna and Ilona went after him.
but among the dead, there was a woman who pretended to be dead and overheard all the talk and ran away with the promise
 "I will become bigger than the originals"
