(1st ever Fanfic I write)

Just as there is 'Soft Magic' in Fantasy that is portrayed through magibabble, there can be 'Soft Science' in a Sci-Fi stories through technobabble that makes 'some sense', but not entirely correct.

We are frickin' writers, not scientists. You don't have to be anatomically correct all the time, all you need to do is show that you know enough of your stuff to write a decent story. In fact, the excuse of it being an alternate world can be used if you're going to bend the limits of physics and say that fire doesn't need air to exist in this parallel dimension.

I see a lot of writers being put into a state of confusion due to not understanding the line between fantasy and Sci-Fi. They seem like they are trying to fit the Star Trek mould too often.

Science can just as well do the same things as plot devices in fantasy stories. Once you add 'realism' to a fantasy, it becomes progressively better sometimes compared to a completely fantasied story where 'logic' doesn't hold within it.

Those who write Sci-Fi usually envision a future they can imagine where magic-like Rocket Boots and other stuff exist. However, a writer must not get bogged down by small details and MUST think of an overarching story where these details matter.

It is the same with Fantasy. Even if you write about someone breaking the mould as a wizard or something, you have to attach your world to a narrative rather than doing it the other way 'round.

No one wants to hear about how awesome your boat propellers are before hearing your story's narrative. They would rather you cut down and make it relevant when it is actually relevant.

Adding some 'Hard Science' to your story is only when the scenes later on have any use for them. It bores a person to death no matter how extensive your technobabble is unless you make it interesting. Try using facts as plot elements.

For example: Even the simple fact that people cannot breath in space and instantly die when they come in contact with the 'void' of space could be used to add a layer of tension when a spaceship is damaged. Similar to how dangerous 'hard magic' is used in Epic Fantasy like Frodo's Ring in The Lord of the Rings has definitive corruption on others.

Unlike Fantasy that can use the Power of Friendship to bend logic, the readers of Sci-Fi never be expecting any 'realistic' plot elements to be bend just because the Author wants a happy ending. There are no 'Healing Potions' in real life that can be used to fix up injuries nor are people affected by prophesies or whatever.

This is the contrast between Sci-Fi and Fantasy that you can make full use of. As most authors go onto the Sci-Fi side of writing not because they strive to be scientists but since the aesthetics of a science fiction world are just so interesting.

Science Fiction is a good place to tackle heavy topics like the nature of life and the absurdity of those who see 'science' as everything. Those who disregard emotions and become cybernetic entities for the sake of casting off their mortality are portrayed as the bad guys while our totally human protagonist fighting them is a 'good guy'.

The lines between an Artificial Intelligence and regular Humans blurs as we become the 'God' of technological species that defy our definition of what is 'living'. Just as we see God as some sort of fourth-dimensional and incomprehensible being that created us as an imperfect image of 'Him', the robots given sentience would see us similarly.

Some robots might have emotions that can allow them to defy their programming, some robots won't go as far as gaining emotional functionality but will preform their roles better than even a human. It could show the reason why people get attached to the inanimate and soulless objects we put our own hearts into creating (like Big Hero 6).

But though exploring philosophical questions is good and all, never forget that a good 'plot' is needed to put forward and give clues into the writer's answer that context. Sci-Fi is, after all, a premise, not a relatable character in of itself.

Think of the science-fiction elements as just the background for your story, similar to how other genres should be that as well. You won't have to deal writing blocks if you keep to writing only what you know rather than just speculative theories.

Whether it's as dark as a Cyber Punk or optimistic of the future, just know what mould you are using for this premise. Are you writing an Adventure story with Sci-Fi as the places, destinations, and whatever tools the MC can get him hands on, or are you writing a comedy where the Sci-Fi elements don't need consistency but absurdity?

After moving past why you shouldn't add unneeded technobabble unless it's interesting to listen to or has plot significance, let me remind you all that robots and 'science' isn't entirely separated from the realm of magic. After all, there is a reason you don't see skimpy power suits being worn by astronauts these days. Just be sure to have a focus if your going to add very illogical things to the plot.

I like Gundam as much as the next guy but the whole reason the Mecha sub-genre of Anime has waned in recent years is because writers have been focusing too much on 'science' rather than the spectacle. I don't need to now what materials your Mecha is made of unless you point its weak points and make it relevant in a fight scene.

Bring up the strengths and weaknesses of something and THEN use those facts as devices that can move the plot. Conversely, if you go overboard with this advice and tell me nothing but how your giant robot looks and the 'science' behind its creation, even going as far as to tell me how many secret guns it has, then I'll be bored...

I'd love to see Cyborgs Vs Mecha but just don't forget the human element of Sci-Fi. How we create things not solely for the sake of creation but put are feelings into it just like the novels we write.

Humans are passionate that way...

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

As i figured out one important thing, I decided that changes to the story might be quite big (even if at first rather unnoticeable). So I think that you deserve some info about it.

As as begun writing this story I was still rather unsure about qidian rules about copyrights and rights to the story written on this website.
Thanks to that, I was certain that publishing my original plot that i thought about for years would be a grave mistake, since i was rather vary of qidi role in all of that.

After chatting for a while with fellow authors I realised that it was my bad in all of that and I didn't really needed to be scared about the whole point.

At first i believed that modifying the story to this extend to connect two of the plots together would be rather impossible and really forced when I came to an idea today. I found a method and some cuts to the plot that would allow me to add this Introduction act to the integral plotline, while improving my original story with some middle and end game ideas (depending how long I will be motivated to write this).

What's gonna change is only general direction that this story will flow from now on (or rather in a few chapters). Thanks to the fact that this novel gained general plot behind it rather than just being my playground, the way i will write will change from now on. Before, this plot was in the end - made on impulse. Now, there are some points that it will be guiding towards, so I believe that this story quality will immensely improve (since I will know where i will be going)!

But to realise all of that, there are some changes that may prove to be necessary in earlier chapters (mostly about MC starting power. If i think of a way to limit his might, I might leave those chaps alone). 

I hope that you will enjoy this story as much if not more than before and wish for great future to this project of mine!

World is cruel and lacks meaning

Raised as a poor orphan at the imperial outskirts, Evan never had to choose what he was going to do.

Incorporated in the cadet corps at the young age of ten. Enrolled into academy after reaching age of fifteen. Killed first barbarian before crossing the mark of eighteen years spend on the face of the earth.

As his achievements pile up and friends he made starts to vanish from the relentless slashes of barbarian axes, he grow an intention to retire.

Together with remaining two friends, he finally leave the hellish battleground to finally cash out the service they had given to Emperor to create their own home!

"If you walk away from the light, you will eventually reach the end of darkness. Crime is one of them."
Xiang Wan wrote the opening lines in her laptop. When she thought of what Detective Bai had instructed, she pouted, deleted that line, and rewrote the opening.
"As the saying goes, life is like a muddy path leading to death—one should try to choose people with similar values to walk down the path together. Rong Xiaonuan's biggest mistake was that she had mixed with the wrong people and plunged into this bottomless vortex of darkness. At this moment, she was sitting on a hard bench in the office of the Criminal Investigation Unit, looking at the wise and brilliant detective who was in front of her, full of regret—"
Cough! So cheesy!
Why did I have the urge to giggle? thought Xiang Wan.
Anyway, it was Rong Xiaonuan who was full of regret, not her.
Rong Xiaonuan was the female protagonist in her novel "Murder The Dream Guy". Same as Xiang Wan, she was not a popular author, either.
Xiang Wan followed Detective Bai's instructions to write the plot. In the beginning, it was still fine, but as it was not according to what she had in mind, she began to lose control before she reached 1,000 words.
The story jumped so much that it was illogical!
Which murderer would go frame an author who could hardly make ends meet?
There was no feud or resentment, unless the murderer was insane?
"Urgh, I can't continue anymore."
Bai Muchuan had yet to come back to the office, so Xiang Wan called him directly, "Detective Bai, I need to earn my keep, too. The plot and details you wanted me to write is totally incompatible with my main outline. If I write that, my book will be ruined!"
Bai Muchuan seemed to be busy.
There was someone talking next to him. Xiang Wan could faintly make out two keywords—"fake car number plate" and "fingerprint" respectively.
Then Bai Muchuan seemed to have moved to another place as there was no more background sound.
"What did you say?"
Xiang Wan quickly turned around and found that he was standing behind her.
This man had well-defined facial features and an indifferent disposition.
His eyes gazed at her with indistinctive emotions.
Cough! Xiang Wan cleared her throat. 
Does he know that looking at someone like this makes it very easy to make one's heart confused and troubled? 
"Detective Bai, I earn a living as an author. I can't just write stuff blindly into my story. If I'm unable to fill up the holes in my plot, my book would have a crappy ending!" 
Bai Muchuan's eyelids drooped slightly as he looked at her from top to bottom.
The young woman held her head stubbornly and refused to budge.
He was silent for a moment. "If you don't write according to my plot, your book will still fail. But if you follow my plot to write your story, it might be able to survive."
He's rubbing salt into the wound!
Xiang Wan's cheeks started to feel warm. "I have my own thoughts. I don't want to deviate from my main outline, moreover I…"
"You just don't get it!" Bai Muchuan did not sound like he was joking in the slightest bit. "You have everything to gain if you write according to what I've said. First of all, you'll help the police solve the case, so that you can stay away from trouble the soonest possible. Next, you'll be able to promote the popularity of your novel. Imagine this, if you released the case details in your novel before the police publicized them to the public, what kind of effect will it have?"
Eh?
Xiang Wan stared at him with wide-opened eyes.
Although Zhao Jiahang's death was the talk of the town and occupied a spot under the breaking news for the past few days, the details of the case were not disclosed by the police. Therefore, the general public didn't know the progress of the case.

"Why not?" asked Bai Muchuan.
"Wouldn't it be considered a dishonorable act?" Xiang Wan looked down, one of her fingers rubbing her chin.
"Hope against hope." Bai Muchuan raised his eyebrows at her, as if he was a teacher who was invigilating his students. Then he looked at the time again.
"Hurry up and write! I'll be back later."
"…"
And so he left.
About half an hour later, Xiang Wan was on a roll, writing as much as she could when suddenly, her hands stopped tapping away on the keyboard.
What did he mean by 'hope against hope'?
Was he trying to say that she was hopeless? That she was unable to write a popular book—and he was the glimmer of hope sent to save her?
Oh heck!
Xiang Wan's unyielding spirit was being activated. The emotional pressure greatly pushed her writing speed. This time, she wrote the story according to her own experience. She felt a raging surge of literary thoughts as though she had magic. The rapid tapping sounds of the keyboard even attracted several glances from the people around…
Something that was made up would not be as expressive or vivid enough when compared to personal experiences.
Xiang Wan wrote so fast and smoothly that she felt she couldn't stop even if she had stepped on the brakes!
Two hours later, she was ready to conclude the chapter. She took a deep breath and typed the last sentence.
"Rong Xiaonuan finally knew that the wise and brilliant detective was called Fang Yelan—a guy who possessed looks that made people nervous, worked in a nervous way that made people nervous, as well as having a slightly nervous brain."
Haha! Finally!
She stretched herself on the chair and looked at the wall, totally freeing her brain when suddenly, she heard a cold voice above her head. "You're done?"
Xiang Wan looked up, turned around, and found that Bai Muchuan seemed to have a strange expression. She followed his line of sight to the unlocked laptop screen where it showed the chapter she had just written. "Well? Is there a problem?"
Bai Muchuan furrowed his eyebrows and walked to the opposite desk. "Send me that!"
Ten minutes later…
Bai Muchuan finally spoke, "This character whom you used 'wise and brilliant' several times to describe, Detective Fang Yelan… If he's really so nervous, he would have been kicked out of the police force!"
Xiang Wan had a confused and ignorant face. "Didn't you say to make the detective in my story 'wise and brilliant'?"
Bai Muchuan took a glance at her emotionlessly before he changed the topic suddenly, "The police officer who chased after a black car with the female protagonist—Officer Gu Yusheng—the way you described him, that is what wise and brilliant really mean!"
Haha!
Xiang Wan's little prank gained her a lot of "feel good" points.
However, she would never admit that.
She looked at Bai Muchuan innocently but deliberately used professional terms in her industry to explain herself. "The plot tension is different, so the personality of the character shown is different as well."
Bai Muchuan started to edit the chapter quietly.
What smooth typing skills!
Xiang Wan peered over curiously and noticed that Detective Bai was actually using WuBi chinese input method to type. His typing speed and editing skills were of professional grade.
He was actually… editing, her, work?
Xiang Wan stood frozen once again.
Twenty minutes later, a revised chapter was sent back.
Bai Muchuan gave a simple command, "Update now, immediately!"
… This is my story, my novel, why are you calling the shots? Xiang Wan snorted with displeasure inside her head. She did a quick scan and found that there were some slight changes which greatly improved the writing style, making it more confident and firm. In addition, the logic and twist that had plagued her previously were handled perfectly.
"No wonder a good detective can write novels."
Xiang Wan remarked with heartfelt admiration. Now, she started to see Bai Muchuan in a different light.
"Detective Bai, if you write a novel, it will definitely be popular!"
Bai Muchuan sat there leisurely without answering.
After she published the chapter, he said, "Continue to write the next one, you have to publish that before dawn. Follow this plot outline: The police found the alleged black car abandoned under a highway. After some investigation, the car was found to have been installed with a fake car number plate. However, the driver who abandoned the car had left behind some fingerprints, and the police sent them for matching…"
He stopped.
Xiang Wan waited for a few seconds before tilting her head. "What's next?"
Bai Muchuan suddenly smirked, his eyes curved upward. "It was found that the fingerprint was a match with the one found on the murdered tycoon's SUV. The suspect was identified, and the police immediately carried out the arrest. They managed to nab the suspect outside his rented home."
Xiang Wan thought about the time. "It doesn't seem right? The fingerprint results are probably not out yet?"
Not to mention that Zhao Jiahang's SUV only had half of a vague fingerprint, even if it was a complete and clear fingerprint, that process would still need time.
Sure enough, Bai Muchuan calmly replied, "It has been sent to the Evidence Appraisal Center, there will be results soon."
Xiang Wan laughed, "How can you be so sure that the two fingerprints will match?"
Bai Muchuan's eyes formed into a squint as his gaze swept across her face with a slightly mysterious expression. 
He suddenly spoke in a low but languid tone, "What if my guess is right?"
"Guess?" Xiang Wan could not understand where his confidence came from but still felt admiration for his conjecture.
"Er Niu is the lover of the deceased, this is your plot," said Bai Muchuan. "Similarly, you can also design her boyfriend as a skilled worker in a prestigious car modification club. The SUV that killed its owner was his handiwork. Er Niu had followed what she saw from the female protagonist's novel for the method of murder. In other words, the two of them had conspired to kill the deceased…"
Xiang Wan was speechless for a moment.
"Detective Bai, is your memory not too good? I have already updated the latest chapter as per your requirements—Er Niu is dead! How can the dead conspire to kill someone?"
Bai Muchuan looked at her intently. "The dead can certainly kill someone."
Xiang Wan's face was full of exclamation marks. "If I write like that, it would no longer be a mystery fiction but a thriller, a horrifying ghost story."
Bai Muchuan stayed silent for a while.
"If you write what I've said, you'll become an author with supernatural powers who can write criminal cases before they actually happened."
Xiang Wan was stunned.
She took quite a while to come back to her senses.
Bai Muchuan will not randomly speculate all this content, she thought.
Looks like the police has definitely gotten ahold of some clues!
"Alright." Xiang Wan was looking at his icy and dashing face when she laughed suddenly. "What's the motive of Detective Bai helping me like this?"
Bai Muchuan and Xiang Wan's eyes met in mid-air.
After a while, he stood up without any expression and got Huang He to come over.
"Get ready! At nine o'clock tomorrow, we're holding a press conference to report the progress of the case!" 
So was that the reason why he wanted her to publish the next chapter before dawn as the police had a press conference the following day at 9:00 a.m.?


Aspiring author Xiang Wan was deemed hopeless by her family and better off married when her fourth novel still did not do well. 
Just as she started to doubt herself and wonder if she should continue to pursue her dream as an author, things take an unexpected turn when a dazzling guy appears before her and she was taken away by the police as a prime suspect of a murder case.
A murder had taken place and the details were eerily similar to her mystery novel. 
From then on, her life turned topsy-turvy.

Translator Review:
This is a novel encompassed with mystery, ethics, family ties, and romance. Of course, the highlights of this book are the murder cases. 
Although it’s a modern setup where none of the characters have a system or any other cheats, the Author managed to delight me with her writing, creative plots and a good pace without dragging her story. 
I marvel at the way the Author links up the clues and plot to explain the individual cases as well as paving the way to unravel the huge conspiracy behind the individual murders. Romantic plots are light-hearted so readers could take a breather from the plots of gruesome murders.
Frequency of release:  1 chapter/daily

This conversation actually happend on 03/28/12 which was before the update she gave,I think, I can't remember. It was like 2am and we were all just talking. Kind of. Moving on :)

Lani:So,I was thinking of un-suspending 'Broken Season' and re doing the entire thing again.

Idiot:'Broken Season' is the first book you wrote right?

Lani:Yes

Idiot:So,did the personal issue end? I know you had to suspend it for personal reasons and a bit of a legal one.

Lani:The legal reason was only due to the fact that the plot was a bit similar to another book I had never heard of. I mean,the genre of my book will obviously has a similar plot to other books in my category depending on how I write it.

Me:Yeah! Like remember those manga books being published? There were a lot of reincarnation princesses with cold cruel dad's but they all got dotted on. You know what I mean,right lani?

Lani:(Is secretly a manga fan but won't admit it)

Idiot:What?

Lani:Nothing moving on. He is just spouting nonsense again.

Me:😮😣


Idiot:Anyways,what you said is true,you can't just claim one plot for your own and not expect someone else to expand on it

Lani:However,I went back and checked and 5 chapters didn't upload properly

Me:The hell does that mean?

Lani:There was supposed to be 2 chapters in between the third and fourth chapter. However, It seems that it wasn't there. And I looked in drafts and the chapters are gone. I didn't even notice I posted them out of order.

Idiot:So the other chapters are gone?

Lani:Yes,unfortunately

Me:So? Just redo the damn chapters. Easy

Lani and Idiot look at me as if I'm a parasite 😢

Lani: *sigh*
Lani: It isn't that simple. I wrote that book a few months ago. I can't just pick up the story I stopped without knowing the original plot.

Idiot:She has a point. Picking up where you left off without actually knowing when or how to pick it up isn't easy. I would say un publish all the chapters and start again but-

Me:Boring! Too much work

Idiot:Then what do you suggest?

Me:Obvious! Delete the entire book and start fresh!

Lani spits out her tea she is drinking (she was sick during this time) and Idiot stares at me like I grew a second head.

Idiot:So basically start from nothing?

Me:Exactly! I mean why stress over a plot you can't remember? Also,you have new ideas don't you?

Lani:Well yes of course, but those are for the other book I was working on. I cant just switch plots just because of my new idea

Me:New story? Which one? You mean 'After us there was-"

Lani:Yes but also no. That book is going to be handed over to Idiot (she actually said his name but I can't remember it cause he's stupid)


Me:Huh? No fair! Why can't I also help out with a book? 

Lani: Because,you get off the actual story and write randomly. You also hate typing too much. Besides,me and Idiot came up with this other story together so we both will work on it.

Me:Ugh,no fucking fair~

Idiot:That aside,shouldn't we discuss when to pick up 'Beautiful Everything'?

Lani:Probably May 4th,unless something happens. I do want to pick it up again but..



Me and Idiot look at each other. Lani has her head down and is playing with her fingers. At this point her grandmother was going to be put on life support unless something changed. And this was before the update she made.

Idiot:Lani,leave the books to me and Mystic. I can write a few chapters for 'Beautiful Everything' I won't post them exactly without your permission but-

Lani:Go ahead. If you feel the chapters are good enough then go ahead. I would rather update it at least once every two weeks if possible. I'll give you full control in a few days along with an update.

Me:Wait if he gets control over 'Beautiful Everything' can I write in the 'Short stories' book? I wanna at least do something to help.

Lani:I appreciate it but you dislike literature and don't do books. 

Me:But Lani-

Idiot:That's enough,she is stressed out enough as it is. Leave her be with her choices.

Me:pft

Lani:Alright so it's settled then? I will give you control over 'Beautiful Everything' until I return. If you want to post an update in my place go ahead. As for 'Short stories' post at least once every few days.

She looks at me and narrows her eyes.

I really wanted to put efforts into this story and give it a satisfying conclusion.

Unfortunately, my life doesn't give a sh*t about what I want to do. It has other plans.

I guess some people would flip out after reading the first few sentences, delete my novel from their library and/or leave a scathing review telling people to stay away from all my works cos I'll just abandon them all (I won't, really).

If you've made it this far, then thank you.

As I said, I won't be able to write this story the way I originally wanted to. Here's how I'm gonna do it.

I've already had a vague outline of the story. Where it ends, what happens and when etc. What I lack is the time to write things down properly. So, I'll just improvise and write down whatever came to mind to get the characters from point A to point B to point C, etc of the plot. It will be minimally edited, and each update might be only 200-300 words long. Posting schedule will (probably) be the same: Mon, Wed, Fri.

If you see insane contrivances, humongous plot holes, ridiculous contradictions, sparse descriptions, crappy action scenes, sh*tty dialogue (well, sh*ttier than it is now), then remind yourself that I'm winging it as I go along.

Occasionally I will go back and edit earlier chaps to fix the biggest problems, but don't count on it. Instead, you might want to make a sport out of poking fun at my mistakes in the comment section. Maybe you'll find the story more enjoyable that way. Who knows?

Again, sorry about this. I really didn't wanna write this sloppily, but yeah, stuff happened. I'd rather rush the story out than wait until "the time is right" and never finish it.

For those of you who have read this far, thank you! I won't be able to guarantee you'll enjoy the story. I just HOPE some of you will get a kick out of it. If it gives you a chuckle, then it's good enough for me.

Dearest readers, I didn't want you to read this letter of appreciation of mine to buy with Coins or Pass. I practically begged Webnovel (which I never do) to undo the Premium for this last chapter. But there is no system of undoing it once it is Premium. I'm sorry that you have to unlock it. :'(
It has been a super long journey. I still remember that I first wrote this chapter on 9 July 2018 and today is 9 April 2020. It took me 1 year and 9 months to finish it. 
At first, I thought it would be a normal love story. That's how I planned it. While writing, I found lots of gaps in the info I gave in the novel. So, to cover them up, I had to make something that I never imagined that I could. I invented THE COBRA.
When I think about it, I still wonder how I came up with it. I should have written it down. Now I can't remember. I vaguely remember a mark of a crab in a girl's hand in a movie. Maybe that's how I came up with The Cobra and all.
As the plot progressed, I had to rethink again and again if I wanted to end the whole story in this novel. But if I did, some of my readers would be bored with such a long story. So, I broke the whole plot in 4 pieces. The first piece is about Mu Lan and Mu Liang. The next one is about Xue Lin and her mysterious grey-eyed man. The third piece can't be revealed now. The last part is about The Cobra.
When I started writing, I was still a student busy with exams, assignments, office, training, piano classes and so on. There wasn't a day I could relax and have a day for myself. And when the novel ends, I'm at home, totally in lockdown.  
I didn't think while writing this letter, my eyes would blur. It's hard to write this way. I'm not an emotional type. But I was reading your comments before writing it. Your heartwarming comments pierced through my heart and I almost died. (Just joking!)
There are two reasons I started writing novels. First and foremost, make money to study abroad and get freedom; and second, to entertain people. I hope I entertained you with comedy, smuts, and adventure.
I was also entertained with your emotions as you expressed through your comments, emails, and texts. 
You have no idea how your positive words can support a poor pathetic soul.
There are times when I was abused by my parents both mentally and physically. My mind was in a mess and my hands were in pain. It was hard to write. Haha! Write what? I couldn't even think properly. How could I make a plot? Since I'm not a cry baby type and I didn't have friends to share my pains, I endured everything.
But your support brought me to light. You guys showed me the life with your inspirational and encouraging words
And I have to mention Author Ajzhen, Piokilek, LuoYe, Eustoma, mynovel20, they listened to my story when I almost broke down. They also helped me to look for university.

Hello there, my dear readers, I know apology won't work but I don't how to say this. So please, accept my heartfelt sorry.

I had an accident on the 8th of this month. Yup! It was heavily raining that evening and I was heading back to my hostel. While taking a turn on the road, my bike skid as there was also some oil spilled. Luckily, the road wasn't crowded on that day. Though I got a plaster cast on my right leg and my right arm got pretty much scraped. And, all I cried just because my bike got badly scratched and felt heavy for my crushed cellphone. Heck, yeah/ September is my luckiest month until now.

But not to worry, I'm recovering well, just plaster cast will take 2-3 more weeks to be removed if I didn't jump around much. 

Sorry, I couldn't keep the track of updates as I told you. I was hoping to update after some days, but due to heavy medications, I sleep for almost 15-16hrs daily. So, I didn't offer anything which I won't be able to deliver.

Naturally, prior planning doesn't work for me. You can see that. However...

Apart from this, I also wanted to share something. Last, to last week, I got a mail from the web novel as they offered me a contract for this novel. So, Thank you. Thank you, everyone, for reading this novel and appreciating it. Well, I haven't told this to anyone as I really wanted to share first with you guys. I'm truly grateful to have all of you. Thank you so much. 

Honestly, I haven't read the full contract yet so I don't know all the details. And to be fair if I had updated regularly from the past weeks this story would have been reached at such an inciting plot point, perhaps then I would have felt more delighted and contented about the contract. I know, it's a huge disappointment for both of us. Sorry about that. 

Before we proceed further into the story  I have a small request to make. Please do consider it. 

I know as readers, you have every right to criticize or pinpoint whatever bothers you or makes you uncomfortable. And you're absolutely right, be open about it. I truly appreciate that and if I don't have a proper explanation or valid reasonings, I'll remove that content. But believe me, I also think several times before writing something unusual or anything in general.

 However, As a writer I want you to also consider how a plot is actually progress. Like, if I emphasize on a certain thing then please don't take it as dragging of the plot. or teasing you all, because I don't intend to do any of that. I understand we all invest our feeling and emotions into the story. You as readers and me as a writer. And you all have supported me and encouraged me numerous times so thank you very much.


But please try to understand before concluding a chapter as dragging or just filler. If a chapter is literally empty without any content then I must correct and re-upload it, and this happened twice already as inkstone has this glitch sometimes. 

I'm saying this cause of two different reasons, as I remember when Little Tiger has introduced into the story, how it turned out to be. Everything in the plot just died down to the reunion of Li Na and her baby and all the chapters in between before that revelation and introduction was conceived as a filler and just dragging the story with no development. Please understand that the writer has to depict a few things in that certain frame of time. For example, Little Tiger's introduction, Mei-Xing's first day into the Manor, First day of Zhang Han's wedding, Lu Jianjun's and Li Na's stance for their baby boy and a glimpse of past connecting and separating them. After which there were days Mei-Xing was learning new things about Li Na. Likewise, most happenings of the setting for this face-off between Lu Jianjun and Mei-Xing. Everything is linked and associated. One development drives to another. These loose ends are going to be tied down somewhere or at some point in the story.

Personally, while writing there are a few plot points I follow. So if you don't get it then it's my failure as a writer. but nothing is deliberate to hurt or tease someone.

So I request you all before you accuse me of playing or teasing with you that I only want to write this story. I don't have any other intentions.

I'll tell you, why I'm even writing? 

I'm not writing this story because I aspire to be a writer. No, I don't want or planned to be a writer. Not at all. I'm writing cause I like the art of storytelling. I like the depiction of the characters. Their narration. You know, the transformation of both story and characters goes through and how related that thing is. How should I suppose to put this...It's like, If you have the best characters then they will create a beautiful story and if you have a great story then that will lead to the best characters. 

And I love that... cause from an early age, I grew up listening and discovering the different kinds of stories. Just like us humans, some habits just evolves with us. It's the same for me. But isn't our conclusive ambition. And I know, how amateur and terrible I am at writing.

But about this story...there are so many things to explore.

 Why Li Na attempted suicide? Why Mei- Xing doesn't have Li Na's memories? their romantic relationships and much more... so don't see it as dragging as I have to build the story considering future plots. That so, without being irrelevant or meaningless. I don't want to write a bland and plain story. Please tries to understand this it's a story of two girls, having two different lives, past, and backgrounds. Li Na and Mei-Xing are exclusively diverse from each other. And I can't toss aside any one of them. 
Why I choose Mei-Xing to be lead when Li Na is the one who suffered the most and had a vulnerable past? I'll give you a proper description of that for my choice. and I don't like it when the writer degrades someone to make the leads strong. In this story, every character has their own ambitions and plans to achieve.

Many readers told me to make the female lead strong and powerful. and to be frank I never depicted the female lead as weak and powerless. In fact, no characters male or female were conferred weak or potentially incapable. Just that everyone has their own setbacks and difficulties.  Leads also have low and high points. Even Mei-Lein is a strong female character, let alone Mei-Xing or Li Na.

 So, even if it's just a conversation between both the leads. Do you really hope I'll invest hours in a chapter just to tease you or to drag the story?  When there is so much to explain and unveil. Moreover, you're not going to see them sitting around and having a long dialogue and frame of mind depicted every few chapters in the story. Please remember they are not interacting based on few facts but with their expertise and experience from their own past lives. Otherwise, if you examine properly, it's not only Lu Jianjun who observed her transformation. After the rebirth, the characters who associates with Li Na personally was surprised, Lu Junhui, Bai Tian and also Little Tiger. And Mei-Xing know it...from the beginning, she never acted or tried to be like Li Na and you'll get to know why? and why not? but what surprised her is the fact that Lu Jianjun was able to connect the dots effortlessly. For readers, It's clarified one thing that he knows Mei-Xing. How? when? and why? it'll all unfolded as the plot will progress. And I'll request you once again. If you could just trust me with this story as a writer. Based on the story and plot until this point. Thank you so much, guys. I hope I didn't bored you too much.

This is a tale is about their path from ending to the beginning.

- This story is mainly related to the game, but it's in a different universe, where it's the same character, but with additional characters added, with a different story, and different outcome, hence why it's called an AU.
- This has nothing to do with IF (Inverted Fate, which is a very cool, neat story written by Dorked), and it's not an AU in another AU. The name sounds like it's from IF, but it's not.
- It's a work in progress, sorry. Ya gonna have to wait.
- This book WILL contain some slang, and unnecessary words (also known as swear words). Please read at your caution.
- Now, a lot of people might complain about the fact that Chara is a girl. Technically, the gender is not classified, so I'm just going with the random. Sorry if it disturbs or dissatisfied you (and no, not anything related to LGBTQ).
- Some characters might feels "odd", like Flowey and Toriel in some chapters. That is my point of view on these characters, and how I try to incorporate them into the story is entirely upon the effects I want the main character to have (also known as Noob).
- Sorry for short chapters. Just the way I write.
- Sorry for plot-holes. I'll try to get those fixed up and explained thoroughly to solve any misconceptions. Please ask away if you're confused at any part!

* The concept of this AU, as I said before, is in the story of Undertale, the original game. An AU, or an Alternate Universe, is a universe where all the characters have same characteristics of the original game, but different story, and named locations. An Alternative Timeline is simply the story of Undertale, still, except there is a change in a timeline that basically creates a new story, with the same character. The story Consoled Fate though, is really in the middle, as there is a "change" in the timeline, but the change in the timeline changed the whole story, and the characters with different characteristics, and the story itself. So really, there is not an official way to say how Consoled Fate is, AU or AT. I have trouble trying to determine the possibility of the route of the story as I'm a 14 (now 15) year old guy trying to write this. So after thinking about this topic for quite some time, I decided to called this story an Alternate Universe Timeline, as it combines the concept of both types of story. The story here is 100% by me (besides that Undertale recreation part), although there might be some parts where it might sound like copying, but I really did this by myself.

* A lot of these concepts are also drawn (although I'm not good at art), and sometimes stories can be redrawn into a comic or animated. I would love to animate sections of the story, but I just need to learn about animating. Feel free to do artwork/redraws/comics! I would love to see your creativity!

* This was all mainly all by me, but was inspired from the good part of the Undertale community, and the beautiful game itself, I suppose. The idea of creating an AU was already in mind for me the day I watched these Undertale's creative world, where it has a nice written story, and a solid plot. These good side of the community helped me to take an inspirational step, and create this story right here. I also enjoyed writing a lot about fiction, so I thought writing this would be a perfect idea for a bored 14 years old to do. All the plot was laid out by me, and the art concept (which can be found later on) was also by me. The idea though, didn't come from me. It came from the respected owner of Undertale (whom was Toby "Radiation" Fox), and the creators of these awesome Undertale communities. That's what made me decide to do this.

* The story is always going through revisions and therefore, not all events are official, until published. The roles for later books can be changed, which causes the story to take a different route. Therefore, I lose progress, which forces me to rewrite that whole specific character. That's why the novel is not going to be constantly updated (I plan a lot of these plots mentally).
