I always thought of my life as a joke. Incapable of truly accepting my flaws and always using a hypocritical smiling face mask to get through day-to-day hassles. I never hope to contribute anything to this society that always reminds me of how useless my struggles are. The only thing that keeps me going and stops me from killing my self is my love for my younger brothers. The thought of leaving them alone in this world where you're constantly being judged by your merits is scarier than any horror movie out there. 

Alas, my worst fear just came true...

The plane I was on for a business trip, just a few minutes from landing without warning exploded... 

*Sigh* At least my brothers wouldn't worry about my funeral and good thing I invested heavily on life insurance so they don't have to worry about money for a long while...

I'm glad I'm able to reincarnate as Katherine Wright the one and only sister of the well known Wright Brothers!

Due to the guilt, I had for my brothers in my past life I did everything to make sure my brothers this life will attain their dreams. I put all my efforts into making sure that the family I have now will suffer as long as I am here. It was tough especially when my mother died just a few days before my 15'th birthday. She was a gentle, strong, kind, and alert mom. She thought me how to use my smile to conquer troubles without losing the essence of being happy by smiling. 

Even now I still miss her. But, I can't make that the reason to avoid the responsibility of being the mistress of the house. All I can do is grieve silently and endure to make sure that I'm strong enough to support my brothers and my dear father. 

My previous experience and knowledge finally helped me to manage the household not only easing my father's concerns but it made my brothers truly perceive the way in attaining their dreams. Although, as soon as my father knew about my proficiency in Latin and Greek he send me to college. My college years made me realize many things about myself. It helps me pursue a career in teaching that eventually lead me to establish a steady flow income that eases the pressure from my brothers to some. This was what they needed to get into aviation which subtle lead them to pursue. Heh, my degree in psychology proved to be a great tool in manipulating others subtle making them do what I want them to do. 

Anyway, eventually my brother Wilbur and Orville successfully invented the prototype plane! Even though I knew they were the ones to make it, but personally seeing them make it and the struggles they face to make it successful, it makes me happy and proud of them beyond words! 
I want them to pursue aviation with all their passion!

When they needed help for their experiments I asked some teachers in my school to volunteer. 
Well, psychology played a major role again when I was trying to convince them. Anyway, when they needed someone to help them to sell their patented plane I used everything I knew from my past life to attract eligible customers and promote their invention while making sure no bad rumors could put a stain on it. Eventually, I become their executive secretary not that I mind since I know how their heads fully occupied by their invention leaving no room for miscellaneous things. The good, thing I'm used to doing multitasking thanks to my previous life. 

And yet, even with the skills and knowledge, I attained from my previous life nothing prepared me from the fact that one of my dear brother, Orville, almost died from a plane crash. Not even a day had gone by after I heard the news I rushed to where he was. The moment I saw him in such a horrid state I couldn't help take a deep breath to help me not to cry hysterically at that moment. At that moment I dedicated everything to assist my dear brother whatever it might be. I mean everything, from greeting visitors, talking to the doctors, even wanting to assist in the investigation of the crash. 

Thank god, Orville eventually got well enough to go home. But as we were about to go home we receive a letter from Wilbur asking us to take a trip to Europe. Naturally, I refused. But as his second letter arrived asking us to take a trip to Europe and making sure that I would have great benefits that my current career can't provide, I couldn't help but think twice at the offer since we are short on income since I've been nursing Orville and couldn't go teach and earn money. After some moment to truly weigh the options, I agreed to Wilbur's request. And it's one decision I will never regret.

 
Since my brothers were socially awkward and shy guys they couldn't handle the attention of the nobles that are attracted to their invention. Now, I get it why Wilbur was seriously trying to rope me into traveling to Europe he couldn't handle shameless advocating their invention. Pfft
Anyway, since I mastered the way using my smile to charm and psychology to subtle manipulate potential investors to patronize my brothers' inventions,  it was a sure win for my brothers. 
It was even funny how European journalists try to put the spotlight on me. Saying things as I *personally sewed the wings of the plane my brothers created.* All, those shenanigans were a good way to advertise so I would only smile when confronted with those rumors. 

Ah, but once again my life changed when Wilbur died. It was so sudden so deeply unthinkable I was left stunned when it happens, If I didn't see Orville being in the same state of mind I won't be as strong as that moment. I couldn't help nut tightly hug Orville and say that *I'm still here.* His, silent tears were more heartbreaking reminding me that we truly did lose Wilbur. I wasn't aware that I was also silently crying while patting Orville until my father silently wiped my tears with his sleeves gently. 

I blamed myself for not doing my best to help Wilbur defend their airplane patent. Maybe, just maybe if I was more assertive in helping him fight for it and not blindly trusting him to do it by himself no matter his reassurance then maybe he might have lived longer and happier. At, that moment on I decided to quit teaching and fully dedicated my self in helping Orville to clear their company's name and secure their plane patent. 

I failed. 

I failed to help Orville to keep their patent to be the "first airplane capable of flight". Orville eventually sold the company and took the whole family for our first family vacation. He took us to a lovely cozy cottage in Georgian Bay in Lake Huron. The wilderness and lack of other humans give me a sense of serenity for once. I truly enjoyed this vacation. 

After a while, I was able to cope with the loss of Wilbur but then my father died. He already suffered constant aches and pains so it wasn't as shocking as Wilbur's death, Still, father's death left a scar in our family. Orville wanted something to occupy his mind to avoid grieving too much so he bought a cute lovable puppy, I named him Scipio. 

Scipio is such a wonderful dog, but it seems I found someone more lovable than him and Orville. I was shocked by that realization. I mean I was just trying to console a friend using the methods I learned from studying psychology. Never thought it would lead to something more profound such as love. I didn't realize I fell in love until Harry (the friend I was consoling since he lost his wife) confessed. At first, I was skeptical, so I couldn't help but ask him if he was joking (which I knew he rarely does) just in case he was. But, when he seriously declared his feelings I couldn't help but question my feelings towards him and realize that I love him too. So we eventually deepen our feelings.

And yet at the same time, I got scared when I realized my feelings. I mean, Orville only has me now and if I pursue my feelings for Harry I feel that I'm betraying Orville. I tried countless times to seek Orville to tell him about Harry and me but I always choke up and quickly avoid the topic in front of Orville. I just couldn't bear Orville thinking I'm abandoning him. But, I couldn't go on leaving Orville in the dark about my feelings about Harry so I ask Harry to tell Orville about our relationship. 

Orville wasn't happy. More like, Orville treats me as if I was dead. It hurts but I couldn't let go of my feelings for Harry so...
I married Harry and moved to his house where I met his son, Henry. Even though I moved to live with Harry, I made sure to send letters to Orville and ask our head maid to send out a detailed letter about Orville day to day life. I just can't help but worry. even if I'm hurt by Orville's reaction of treating me like I'm dead I still can't help care for my dear cute brother. 

Hmm...
This life has been great. I couldn't help to always be thankful to be reincarnated. To gain such experience and truly see how the skills I gain from my previous life aren't worthless. Ah, it's nice to be able to live a second time. Unfortunately, it seems that my time this life is slipping away now. 
I couldn't help but chuckle that I'm about to lose my life to a sickness that modern science can easily cure. Oh well, it would be nice is Orville would visit be me before I die.

  At the evening, Anna had finished her surgeries and rounds in that Out Patient department, when she heard the commotion in front of A&E Department. The nurses are all stressed as the patient is a VIP, no on-call doctors are available and the present ones are at their OT's .

Anna came out of the OT and raised a thumbs up to the nurses waiting outside, and walked to the washroom to remove her scrubs.
At the hospital gate, Evan walked out from his car, his assistant closely followed him. His assistant said to him " Second Young Master's surgery went well, the staff now preparing him to shift to the VIP ward".

His standard clothing consists of a black T-shirt, jeans, red sneakers, and a red jacket tied around his waist. His combat attire, on the other hand, is stylized after firefighter gear, except it is much lighter weight. The jacket and pants of the outfit are a silver-grey color with a single, glowing blue stripe around the torso and on the arms and legs. He also wears metal-plated combat gloves. He refuses to wear any form of footwear while fighting, because it hinders the use of his Semblance when kicking. 

Weapons: 
Heath uses a set of twin weapons called the Will-O-Wisps. These weapons are twin shotguns that can also turn into throwing axes. When Heath channels his semblance through the weapons, they become flaming throwing axes!

His combat attire is unique because it also doubles as his semi-formal attire. Between his Semblance and his Aura, Anthony doesn't need any extra protective armor. So, he opts instead to live by the motto, "Dress for success." His clothing consists of black, leather boots, dark brown slacks, a white, button-up shirt, and a dark blue coat. The boots, pants, and coat all have golden accents decorating them, and he keeps his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He also wears a pair of dark blue, fingerless gloves.

Weapon: 
Anthony's weapon is called Hellfire. It is a fully automatic Thompson SMG with a 50 round drum mag. When Hellfire switches to melee form, it becomes a two-headed great axe.

While he has a generally cold exterior, there is only one thing he truly hates. Those who mistreat, and/or show hatred to, the Faunus. 

Appearance:
Victor Shade stands at a height of 6'1" tall. His hair black hair is thick and wavy. He has surprisingly pale skin considering he grew up in the deserts of Vacuo, and his eyes are a pale, grey-blue. In contrast, Victor's clothing of choice is reminiscent of a cowboy or bounty hunter. His clothing consists of leather boots with silver spurs, slacks, a button-up shirt, and a suit-vest. He is accessories include a wide-brimmed fedora, a belt and holsters for his revolvers, and a trench coat that reaches his ankles. All of this attire is black with the sole exception being the white button-up shirt he wears under the vest.

Weapons: 
Victor wields dual hand-cannons with the shared name Diamondback. They are twin five-shot revolvers chambered in .410 shotgun shells. When switched to melee form, the revolvers become bladed whips.

Strategist—Unlike other Semblances, this one is passively active at all times. When in battle, Chris is able to analyze his surroundings and his opponents in the blink of an eye. He has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor and has a tendency to be blunt. However, he does have the same kindhearted nature as Anthony. Chris also shares Anthony's passion for music. In addition to this, Chris also has a passion for flight. This love of flight, along with his semblance, led him to create his weapon of choice. 

Appearance:
Christopher Slater stands at a height of 5'10" tall. He has dark brown hair that is short and messy. His skin tone is on the lighter side, and his Golden eyes often look bored. Chris can often be seen wearing a leather jacket with fur around the caller while smoking a cigarette. He wears brown slacks, black shoes, and a black button-up shirt.  

Weapon: 
Christopher fully designed his extremely unique weapon which he named Aero Hyacinthos. The weapon consists of two parts. The first portion is a set of Dust-powered Cybernetic Wings. The wings and thrusters can collapse into a standby mode when on ground. This form resembles a high-tech backpack. The second portion of the weapon are twin rapid-fire dust pistols which double as the flight controls.

"But Mr. King ..." Mars immediately raised his hand asking his lawyer to stop talking without taking his eyes off the detective

"I don't negotiate with anyone especially with the murder suspect" Mars smiled

"I like your determination, but believe me you put your career on the wrong person, Jared will leave you and I won't let you go," Mars said in a low, slightly growled voice. Alan began to waver he knew who he was dealing with. Mars King was not an ordinary man, he was good at playing other people's minds, no one could control this man. His business and political background were no joke, some senators had called the head of the FBI several times to release him from any charges.

"think of whom you'll side with" Mars raised his head and stared him cynically. After a long pause and thought he finally decided

"Jared Wright gave it to me" Mars nodded with a smile

"what a wise choice," Mars said, still nodding slowly.

"Now can I frisk your house?" Mars nodded

"be my guest" Mars smiled instead. The lawyer next to him began to get nervous, what Mars was really planning. The detective then went out of the interrogation room and left both the lawyer and Mars alone

"Are you sure about that, Mr King?" Mars nodded

"Find Jared." Mars turned his head coldly. The lawyer nodded. Then Mars stood up, following the officer who would take him back to the prison cell.

Mars's cell was occupied by himself. After entering and being locked again, he sat on the floor folding his legs. He leaned his head against the wall. Suddenly he felt his heart in pain again as if something was stabbing and he could only stroke it while continuing to breathe regularly. He knew something had happened to Vanylla. Now he understood why his chest had pain a few days ago, it was when Vanylla had an accident. He could feel the same pain as his lover and just like how he felt his chest was piercing.

"You are my angel, whatever happens, you are my possession, you will come back to me, baby girl, although I have to chase you to the end of this world" Mars muttered to himself with his stroking hand on the chest quietly in the cold prison cell.

Meanwhile, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, Rose exited from an elevator of an Italian restaurant. She stepped up with a smile and a cheerful face within her broken heart. It has been three days since the incident with Jared happened, and ever since, Rose had been crying every night by herself. Then she came out on the next day covering the fog on her face by wearing makeup and fake smiles. Likewise today she would meet an old friend Axel Petrakis to help Mars.

"oh my doll sweetpea, I miss you baby" Axel Petrakis called when he saw Rose approaching his table, Rose immediately smiled and welcomed Axel's hug. Axel was so tall so he could lift Rose because of his height.

"Oh Axel mi dioses (my God) I miss you so much," Rose said, hugging Axel. Axel released his hug to Rose and smiled widely

"It's really a surprise to meet you again" Rose smiled

"And I'm really surprised you took me to lunch, you always refuse to go with me sweetpea," Axel added

"That's because you're married" Axel scratched the back of his head and grinned. Rose walked around to sit next to Axel. Axel was so excited and sat immediately. Rose chose a private restaurant for both of them, she didn't want any new gossip about her and Axel, and she didn't want to face the jealousy of Axel's wife later.

After giving the food orders, Rose started talking to Axel Petrakis

"Axel I came here to ask for your help" Axel leaned closer to Rose and nodded

"It must be something very important until you ask for my help Sweetpea" Rose nodded. Rose then grabbed and hold Axel's hand.

"Please don't withdraw your company from the resort project in Florida, let King Enterprise finish the project," Rose said, clutching Alex's fingers and looking into his eyes. Axel smiled and returned Rose's grasp

"You know I will do anything for you sweetpea but this time I can't"

"Why?"

"My father is so concerned about a company reputation, and Mars King was accused of killing. It's not a joke, after all, what is the relationship between you and King Enterprise sweetpea?"

"Mars King is my cousin from my mother's side," Rose explained, still holding Axel's hand. Axel nodded

"Then why did he destroy the hospital?" Rose drank a glass of water and smiled

"because they blocked him from meeting his girlfriend, but there is no media should know about this, so the story occurred was Mars raging in the hospital because he was not satisfied with their services" Axel nodded in understanding

"I beg of you Axel, for the sake of our old friendship, do not leave Mars, Caleb Konstantine will continue to run the company on behalf of Mars, you know Mars will soon get out of prison" then Axel intertwined Rose's fingers and kissed it then held it again.

"Then I will talk to my father, I will try to convince him to stick to the initial agreement, I will contact Mr. Constantine later" Rose smiled happily and kissed Axel on his cheek

"Oh Axel, you're the best thank you mi dioses" Axel smiled and nodded. They continued their lunch and had small talk

"How's your wife?"

"But you know, my wife even now is still jealous of you, even though I've been dating dozens of women after you agápi mou (my love)" Rose chuckled. She still had some influence on the life of her ex-boyfriend's life somehow.

"I mean it Rose, I really hope that you'll get married and be happy, don't stay on your own, you make me worry" Rose grabbed Axel's hand again with her teary eyes. Actually Rose really wanted to cry and vent her feelings out to him but she was afraid that Axel would be in temper and ragingly took some actions for her. Axel Petrakis also had an underground network in Europe and his father Dominique Garcia often had some works with Axel. And involving him in her story would make everything complicated. Axel would never let Jared Wright alive if he found out that he had hurt and humiliated her.

"Honestly mi dioses, I hope that there are two Axel Petrakis in this world, then I will marry the other one" Axel looked at Rose as if he wanted to read the thoughts of the girl. Rose was a girl who had a special spot in his heart, a place where no woman could occupy. For him, Rose was no longer love but the affection of an older brother. "I'm satisfied that I'm still your best friend and sister now" Axel smiled again. Rose tried to convince Axel that she was all right. At the end of lunchtime, Axel escorted Rose to her car

"I know I can't regard your wife, but really I'm happy very for you, give your son Drako my hugs and kiss from Aunt Rosaline" Axel Petrakis laughed as he closed Rose's car door, he nodded and then took a few steps back before letting Rose out of the parking lot. Axel Petrakis smiled as he watched Rose's car went toward the highway. While in the car, the tears that were held back by Rose dropped slowly, as she drove she continued to cry without sobbing. She remembered how Axel, her first love, hoped for her happiness with a small family of her own. A hope which was trampled and burned by Jared Wright. Her blood with Mars had destroyed her innocent heart because of revenge. Even more pathetic, she still loved with a man who broke his heart and life.

LAPD (LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT)

Caleb came to LAPD to visit Mars as usual. Today he completed all the work on behalf of Mars, including dealing with media and journalists who did not stop looking for news about Mars King. He entered the Mars cell with only two items, an iPad and a subway bag. Arriving in front of Mars sitting on the floor, Caleb showed them both with a grinned smile. Mars smiled back at him

"came in Cal." Caleb entered and sat beside Mars.

"You have a seat, why do you sit on the floor?" Caleb asked

"Do you mind?"

"no boss" Mars nodded with a serious face

"I brought a subway for you, I assumed you haven't eaten yet?" Mars smiled and took the food

"Thank you," Mars took a bite of unwrapping piece of bread

"what did you get?"

"You don't want to finish your meal first?" Mars stopped eating and turned to Caleb

"okay, I guess not," Caleb turned on his iPad to show something to Mars.

"These were CCTV recordings before and after Vanylla's accident" while chewing slowly Mars tried to pay attention to the iPad screen in front of her

"One more thing, Vanylla was found in front of the restaurant where we booked lunch with Axel, then here she was about to be kidnapped by some guys, look at this" Mars turned his head to Caleb for a moment then saw a CCTV video showing Vanylla being forcibly pulled by several men. Before getting in the van, Vanylla kicked and had time to run away.

"then she ran away, the video stopped, then we found another footage when she ran chased by three people, look ..."

"this was a recording from a bakery shop close to the spot where Vanylla that was hit by a bike messenger" Mars's eyes widened as he saw how Vanylla who was trying to save herself kept looking back when running and she didn't see a bicycle going through the opposite direction. Vanylla crashed into the bike messenger until she slammed hard into the path walk. The tape showed how Vanylla endured her pain until blood flowed from her body, it was quite clear because the footage was taken 3 meters from her accident. Mars began to have shortness of breath and getting anxiety.

"Mars, are you all right?" Caleb asked as he looked at Mars. Mars took a deep and heavy breath, he nodded after a long silence.

"Then did you find those men?" Mars asked furiously

"all of them were just mercenary"

"who paid them?"

"Voltaire" Mars turned to look at Caleb with angry eyes. How dare Voltaire harmed his angel

"So this was all that bastard's?" Caleb nodded

"yes, but there is something odd about it, how could he know about Vanylla, I don't think he is that smart enough to take advantage of your relationship" Mars who was initially angry thinking the same way

"Jared made me here" Mars looked back at Caleb, Caleb frowning

"Did he?" Mars nodded

"What about my angel do you find her" Caleb shook his head

"Wright sold their mansion in Malibu, and their company now has a new CEO, they keep their princess away from you to the extent of selling a house that has been occupied for decades and gave the company to be led by others" Caleb looked at Mars who looked blank at the bars in front of him.

"I found the flight manifest of Vanylla Wright to France but it was fake, maybe they were still in LA"

"find her, do what it takes just find wherever she is, I'll wait"

"Mars what if we will never find them anymore, for how long you gonna wait" Mars let out a heavy breath, then hold his chest again

"Caleb, you may not believe this, but I can feel Vanylla's pain in my chest, it's just that I don't know what happened exactly to her, but I know she is crying now" Caleb just looked down, he didn't understand about the love that Mars had.

"I will see her again, please keep searching for her although to any corner of this world" Mars saw Caleb's face, he nodded.

"as your command, King" Caleb smiled then stood up to leave but he turned again

"Mars, if they put you in federal prison, I have prepared uncle Dom's men to take care of you," Mars frowned

"What are you trying to do, Caleb? Do you want to hold me longer in prison?" Caleb smiled cunningly

"Mars this is the perfect time to get your throne back in the public, I have arranged it, after all you need some rest too"

"in a prison?"

"Yes, come on, it's just a few months." Mars snorted in annoyance. Caleb then knelt on him

"The public will sympathize you, and when you come out you will be welcomed as a returned king believe me it is a perfect plan"

"What do I get from becoming a king?"

"vengence ... to Jared Wright and his family" Mars looked at Caleb's face seriously. His vice CEO Caleb Konstantine was the best planner Mars had ever known, his method was mostly weird but they were always effective.

"So you told Uncle Garcia I was in prison?" Caleb grinned

"See you tomorrow boss," he said in front of the cell door and Mars only nodded once. The cell door was immediately closed by an officer. Now Mars was left alone with his mind and his lost appetite for the food.
