Strength, level, heavenly weapon, and position, Ye Yuqi had all of them. What's more, Fairy World was a relatively loose organization. Meng Qi believed that other members would not object if she maintained the current style. Certainly, it could not be dealt with arbitrarily. They must call all members to confirm the new leader as soon as possible. After all, Buddha Ling Bao did not directly appoint his succesor for some reason.
After taking charge of the Aquamarine Palace for the time being, "Buddha Dou Mu" and Meng Qi returned to Huamei Heights in a hurry. The situation of other battlefields was not clear, so they must make it clear as soon as possible in case that things changed for the worse. As for bringing Buddha Ling Bao back to life, nobody from Fairy World had the strength to finish certain tasks. Thus, it could only be temporarily set aside. Besides, Meng Qi, after what happened before, was doubting the Six Dao of Samsara. Would the man resurrect by himself or not? Would he still be under his control, unable to get free?
Therefore, Meng Qi thought resurrecting Chonghe by the Six Dao of Samsara was not a good choice before he learned more about it. After all, no one knew whether there was a limited number of resurrections. They could not waste time!
With regard to the exclusive task of refining heavenly weapons, the treacherous Six Dao of Samsara must give no advanced confirmation of completion though the term was one year.

In a grass hut of Huamei Heights, Mister Luda was not seriously injured and finished his practice.
"Elder Su gained Dharmakaya and had features of the Legend level. He put other Dharmakaya under a siege, killed the Great Asura and Demon King Bull Kui, and beat the Demon King of Peacock Tai Li, Wizard King of This World, and Blood Sea Rakshasa. Then the war was over?" said Meng Qi who was shocked a lot and repeated what Mister Luda said.
Su Wuming had been to the Eternal Valley, and he knew the Hao Tian Jing Fragment could help people communicate with their "additional self" in advance. From those above, Meng Qi guessed Zhiwei's master had attempts in this regard, so Su Wuming had years of delay and didn't reach Dharmakaya after nine years in the Nine Levels of Heaven. Once he was promoted, he was most likely to have features of Legend. After he gained features of the Legend level, Su Wuming was so strong that he surrounded several Dharmakaya on his own, killed a man and a demon, and beat off the rest. Meng Qi didn't expect that! How unthinkable! It was like a story!

Mister Luda laid his sword across his knee and said calmly, "He follows the orthodox path, so the Legend features are very obvious. He helps 'self' by 'additional self,' so his Dharmakaya is improved basically. That is like the difference between the 'Nine Levels of Heaven' and the common world. The former can cover everywhere and can be everywhere."
"However far place in the universe is near for him. Nothing can block him except a great array at the Legend level or superior Secret Heaven. Besides, 'self' will not really die if the connected 'additional self' is not killed."
Meng Qi and Ye Yuqi were shocked. Was he a Dharmakaya of their sect? He was much stronger than Lan Ke Temple Bodhisattva who was still practicing! He seemed to be at a different life level compared with other Bodhisattvas!
"It is a pity that he ends the trial in advance. He can only maintain the magic arts of being everywhere for a short time, so he must recover before using it next time." Mister Luda pointed out Su Wuming's problem.
Then, Meng Qi finally accepted what he heard. He asked, "The Legend features of Elder Su and you seem to be totally different?"

Mister Luda said nothing more about it and turned to talk about other battlefields. He seemed to have some conjecture, but he didn't mention that.
Hearing that Cao Family exploded the Earth Fairy Relics and destroyed nearly half of the prairie's combat power at the Guru level, Meng Qi frowned, "Offering heads?"
Evil arts of war...
"Yes. They are very loyal to Gao Lan," agreed Mister Luda.
Meng Qi gently flapped his right hand, "But Cao Xianzhi really has resentment and unwillingness... "
Stopping here, he had an inspiration and looked at Ye Yuqi whose eyes were bright. They seemed to think the same way.
Perhaps Cao Xianzhi's resentment and unwillingness were not against the person who killed him, but rather against the Controller of the Six Dao of Samsara!
The Six Dao of Samsara ordered Meng Qi to help just forces to exist for one year, so it must order others to support the prairie and evil forces. Cao Xianzhi might get some tasks against the just force, so he stood out when Cao Family was wondering to sacrifice which one.
It might also be that Cao Family had no choice in danger, and had to… Meng Qi thought out many possibilities, but Cao Xianzhi had already died. His guess could not be proved even by the Cao Family.
"What benefits does Gao Lan give the Cao Family? Cao should sacrifice two gurus and an Earth Fairy Relic..." Ye Yuqi was puzzled, because she knew a great family usually put family in the first place, and then came other things.
Mister Luda said, "The Cao Family still has an Earth Fairy relic, heavenly weapons, and more than a half number of gurus. It still has a solid foundation. Gao Lan must get the 'Emperor's Golden Book' and share it with the Cao Family."

The "Emperor's Golden Book" was the bible of mankind, which could be compared with half-step achievement Level called "Landing"... Its content was extensive and profound that includes arts that men can practice without the force of creatures. Like the Buddha's Palm and Original Nine prints, it had seven golden pages with one sum and six pages. The rest of the six pages were numerous Emperor's magic arts that could constrain forces except men.
Even though Gao Lan shared only one page with the Cao Family, they would be much stronger than before.
"Yes," Mister Luda got information from He Qi and was quite certain, "the Cao Family also builds a small temple of heaven in the old house. Once warning appears, men sacrifice and pray here, then Gao Lan will feel that, and help them. Holding the Emperor's Sword and Imperial Jade Seal of North Zhou, he can reach anywhere in Zhou instantaneously."
"There is no Dharmakaya in the Cao Family, but it has Dharmakaya's help this way," sighed Ye Yuqi who had a little friendship with Cao Xianzhi.
Meng Qi heard situations of other battlefields -- Kong Wen died, his master was in a nirvana trial and something changed in Shaolin. He felt sad and happy at the same time.
"Ten monks guarding the hidden path were killed by Han Guang, and Kong Hui doubted that he entered Ananda Pure Land," said Mister Luda.
He and Meng Qi had been to Ananda Pure Land Derivative in Universal Fragment, so they knew a lot.
Meng Qi frowned, "He can open the seal?"
After Kong Wen was trapped, Ananda Pure Land in the back mountain was not strange for Shaolin. Certainly, it knew that there was nothing crucial in Ananda Pure Land Derivative because of its features, but the mountain behind Shaolin had.
Another difference between reality and derivative was that the later Dharmakaya's leveled prints' power was lessened when they were reflected to derivative. That was to say the seal's power for derivative was little. It only had the power provided by the stone door.
Meng Qi could open the stone door with Ananda Oath-Breaking Bladesmanship as derivative, while he could not open the seal of the back mountain of Shaolin with it, unless it woke up completely.
Because the seal could not be opened, Shaolin hadn't entered Ananda Pure Land.
Han Guang could open the seal and enter Ananda Pure Land?
"Han Guang has been hiding in Shaolin for many years to find Ananda Pure Land. Maybe he has found the way to open the seal," guessed Mister Luda.
Ways to open the seal? Meng Qi tried to find clues by recalling what Han Guang had done.
He stayed at Shaolin for a few years, so he was not very clear about Han Guang... All of a sudden, he thought of the revealing of Sinew-Changing Scripture. Duan Rui mentioned that his adoptive father got Sinew-Changing Scripture from an elder monk...
Han Guang could not see the content of Sinew-Changing Scripture due to Ananda Oath-Breaking Bladesmanship, so he lured enlightened disciples to write it down from memory with spies of Jin Gang. However, Meng Qi and his junior fellow brother happened to see them and knocked the handwritten book down to the back mountain. 
"Sinew-Changing Scripture" practiced from the end to the beginning was like evil arts… evil Dharma in Ananda Pure Land… true Dharma cut "evil self" out, removed it, but he then died.
Did it mean that Dharma hadn't separated himself from evil Dharma when he was creating Sinew-Changing Scripture, which influenced it? It was Buddha in positive sequence but evil negative sequence, so evil was the key of the seal?
Meng Qi thought it was quite possible like that, so he told Mister Luda.

"Find Duan Rui as soon as possible," Mister Luda didn't neglect Meng Qi's speculation.

A golden stamp constable entered the small building and saw the head constable Sima Shi in relaxed expression. He seldom did that.
"Many Dharmakaya have died, so the Heavenly List must be adjusted," ordered Sima Shi, quite happy in tone.


I care not of my past and neither of my future.
Conquering all heroes and foes while looking with disdain at the horrors of the Samsara, I yearn only for a life of thrilling wonders!
History will repeat itself after many ages as the menace of the Great Calamity rises once more.
Which will rise with triumph in the face of adversity; the Golden Form of the Great Buddha or the invincible Heavenly Taoist Form?
Which will seize all glory amidst all struggles; The Buddha's Palms or the  Seven Strokes of Heaven's Interception?
From the sanctum of the Shaolin Temple, Meng Qi's adventures and struggles through the Samsara begin as we follow his climb to claim the title of "the Unrivaled and the Invincible One"!


"After reading hundreds of times, the meaning will reveal itself," but some people only need ten days while others will require half a year. This kind of difference makes many speechless. Just like Tang Thirty Six had said, that girl often left others speechless. Chen Chang Sheng also didn't say anything either.

Secretly, Shuang Er was unhappy of Chen Chang Sheng's quiet and stiff reaction. Perhaps she thought that since he has a marriage vow with the lady, even if their status differed greatly at least he should show some sort of ambition or confidence?

Also from her point of view, if it weren't for her lady that wrote a letter from the Nan Xi Temple, Chen Chang Sheng would be dead already. How would he have the chance to enter the Classical Teaching and sit on a clean floor to read and xiuxing? Although she didn't need his appreciation, he shouldn't be silent either and treating it like nothing happened.

Shuang Er looked at him and shook her head. She took out a thin piece of letter from her pocket and handed it to him.

"Since you obtained the precious chance to xiuxing, then you should appreciate it and start from ground zero. Don't think of some strange way to boost yourself and place your hope upon others, especially women." Suddenly she thought of something and said strictly "Xiuxing, is never simple. Even if you don't have any hope, I hope you won't self destruct. Do you understand?"

Chen Chang Sheng took the paper and was stunned for a moment. He didn't understand the what she was trying to say. He thought to himself, even if he had hid in an academy as gloomy as a cemetery to read and xiuxing, the General's Mansion and that Lady Xu still think of him as an obstacle?


 

The sun outside of the library was hanging in the middle of the sky. The tree leaves were rocking back and forth from the breeze. The sunlight scattered under the tree and landed upon the earth. Luckily it was still early spring so the temperature wasn't too hot. The piece of letter contained a girl's fragrance but had no trace of sweat.

Chen Chang Sheng looked at the sentence upon the letter and remained silent for a long time.

"Look out for yourself."

The penmanship of the words were neat, but had nothing special. The strokes were very straight, which seemed naive and cute. Although Chen Chang Sheng guessed that this sentence was written by Lady Xu from the south, he couldn't connect the girl who has this sort of naive penmanship with the talented girl who is famous throughout the world.

He understood the sentence and it seemed as if he could faintly see the expression on Lady Xu's face when she wrote this sentence. For sure she had a cold face and wrinkled eyebrows, which expressed her impatience and irritation. But mostly, it was indifference.

She only wrote a sentence for him, but the most important word was "Yourself."

Yourself meant you.

You live.

You read.

You xiuxing.


 

You eat and sleep.

Chen Chang Sheng thought quietly for a moment and didn't think any further. He collected the letter and put it in his pocket. Then he stood up and walked to the bookshelf to find the forty nine books mentioned in the end of "Purification". While he was searching, he thought about the words Maid Shuang Er said previously and wrinkled his eyebrows. His fingers slowed down during his search for the books. Does it only need ten days to read all of these books a hundred times? How did she accomplish this?

"Purification" was just a summary. The forty nine books mentioned at the end of it was the actual studying material. The students need to use the knowledge and wisdom in those books to open their mind and solidify their view of the world to strengthen their souls.

It was purely a xiuxing in the spiritual field. It started when the Books landed on earth and humans started to xiuxing. The first step of solidifying their souls was always the same method. It was concluded and measured by countless pioneers and the method was proven to be the most effective and had the highest success rate. Since words were the only physical form of thoughts, then in order to use the ancestor's thoughts to help them transfer mind into strength, words were the perfect bridge to connect the two.

Since this method was used throughout the human word, the forty nine books mentioned in the "Purification" were obviously recognized by everyone as the most helpful books to solidify one's soul. It began from 1582 when The Tradition created the index and it wasn't changed since then.

Chen Chang Sheng walked around the bookshelves and searched. Although he was familiar with the order of the books it still took him an hour to find all of the forty nine books and moved them to the floor beside the window. Then he placed them in order.

He didn't start reading immediately. Instead he went to the Street of Hundred Blossom and ate at a restaurant. Then he rested around the lake's grassfield for an hour. After satisfied by his relaxation, he returned to the library once again and picked up the first book and began reading.

Previously when he was finding the books, he checked the titles and made sure he never read these books . Although he was a bit disappointed, he was curious as well. What were the content of these books that they can help humans solidify their souls.

The first books that he picked up was "Discussion of Pu Men". He was sure that he never read the book. When he opened the book and saw the familiar contents upon it, he thought he was seeing illusions similar to the entrance test of the Heavenly Academy.

Although this book was very thin, it felt heavy in his hands. He looked at the sentences in the books confused and discovered something with surprise. He had already read these materials when he was four years old, more precisely, he has already memorized this book entirely.


 

Except this book was named "The Scripture of Pu".

He was for sure a little surprised. It felt as if he returned to the testing field of the Heavenly Academy. He always thought this type of good thing won't happen again but out of chance it occurred once more. It took him a while for him to return to his senses.

After returning from his daydream, he quickly opened the second book.

This book's name was "Collection of Mausoleum of Knowledge".

He flipped through the pages as if a strong gale had blew open the book. He quickly realized that he had also read this book as well. The praises written by past poets for the Mausoleum of Knowledge were all in his head. Except when he first read these poems when he was five years old in the old temple of Xi Ning Village, this collection was named "Index of Fancy Poems".

Chen Chang Sheng remained silent for a while and flipped open the third book.

Still the same.

He read this book as well, except the title was different when he read it while he was young.

The fourth book, the fifth book... He quickly scanned through the forty nine books for once and knew that he read all of these books.


 

Just like this?

This is a surprise? Chen Chang Sheng picked up the "Purification" once again and fell silent. He thought silently but the corners of his lip raised a little. His closed his eyes, but happiness filled his heart.

He remembered the words that Shuang Er said when she left.

"Xiuxing, is never simple."

He raised his head and looked outside of the window. The sunlight had scattered outside of the door. Although the wind is still blowing, there was no sign of anyone around. Chen Chang Sheng was a little disappointed. If that girl was still here, he really wanted to tell her that he may have a chance to solidify his soul faster than her lady.

But he thought again, Xu You Rong finished the forty nine books a hundred times to reveal its meaning. She successfully solidified her soul when she was only four years old. The little self pride that appeared in Chen Chang Sheng's heart quickly dissolved. He thought it was really was meaningless.

The next thing that he needed to do was to use the ways recorded on the "Purification" and use the words carved in his head from the forty nine books and transform the power of the words into fertilizers that can strengthen his mind. Then once and for all he will be able to solidify his soul.

If it was anyone else in this kind of critical moment, they will continue this process until they succeed. But Chen Chang Sheng looked at the sun and noticed it has already moved westward and dawn was here. He put down "Purification" and collected the books on the floor. Then he walked out of the library.

It was time for dinner.

Since he needed to eat dinner, he ignored the chance to change his life. If this is self-discipline, then this self-discipline was too strict and harsh. It was almost to the point of self-harming. But it could also be viewed as self confidence because he believe that chance wouldn't slip away.

From the entrance exam of the Heavenly Academy to these forty nine books, Chen Chang Sheng already noticed some things. His master has already built the basic and the road for xiuxing. His master for sure wasn't just a regular Taoist.

The way of xiu xing was long and distant, but his senior and him read the entire Scroll of the Way when they were young and memorized countless literatures in their heads. This meant that he has already made his first step way before anyone else. He has already traveled ten thousand miles on the way of xiu xing, then of course he was able to arrive at the destination earlier than anyone else.

Chen Chang Sheng was always confident in himself, but upon realizing this he grew more confident. By now the night has slowly approached the capital and the sun was slowly setting in the horizon, but in his open heart, another red sun was slowly raising. Why would he be afraid of the darkness ahead?

After finishing his dinner, he returned once again to the library and boiled a pot of water. Then he made a cup of tea he bought in the street of Hundred Blossom. He sat on the ground and meditated for a long time. His eyes skimmed through the forty nine books that were lined up perfectly and finally stopped at the "Purification".

The words in the books slowly raised in his head. The contents returned from his childhood memory and became extremely clear. Then slowly they released a certain presence that followed the path that was mentioned in the first chapter of the "Purification" and continuously traveled in his mental world.

Many years ago in the old temple, he had already opened his mind. The only thing he needed to do now was to solidify his soul.

He closed his eyes and thought quietly but gradually he forgot to think.

To clear one's mind and see one's soul wasn't that difficult.

It just requires practice.

Time slowly went by and frogs started to make noise in the wetland outside of the library.

It was still early spring.

The night darkened and the stars brightened. The capital was still full of noise.

But the Classical Teaching was still quiet with its only resident inside.

The oil lamp inside the library was dim, but it seemed to never fade.

Suddenly, a light ring was heard in the building.

A breath of wind circled around the structure.

Chen Chang Sheng opened his eyes and confusion filled his pupils, but slowly it turned into calmness. Then finally they were filled with happiness.

He successfully solidified his soul in the time of one day and one night.

Xiu xing is just this simple.

To pick is to choose. This is a story about choices. Several thousand years later, the fourteen years old orphan Chen Changsheng left his master to cure his illness and change his fate. He brought a part of a marriage vow with him to the capital, thus beginning the journey of a rising hero…

If he wanted to have the Sacred family to be disdained by all the citizens in Glory City, then he will need to reveal the true nature of this hypocratic family, first!

"Page thirty, sixth diagram?" The commoner student murmured. After being guided, he found the Lightning Fire inscription pattern.

"Ya!"

The crowd of students let out a sound of surprise. The Lightning Fire Inscription Pattern consisted of two-parts. with one part looking exactly like the Scarlet Sunburst inscription pattern. The Scarlet Sunburst inscription pattern was much more simple compared to the Lightning Fire inscription pattern, which was the same as cutting out half of it.

Nie Li is actually correct!

Shen Xiu clenched her fist tightly, her fingers turned white.

"So what if the first generation house master of my Sacred family took it from the Book of Divine Lightning Fire?" Shen Xiu coldly replied.

Nie Li laughed, "Teacher Shen Xiu, looks like you're not familiar with the Demon Spiritist code of conduct. Do you want me to explain it to you? The Demon Spiritist code of conduct has been around for three thousands years. Almost every demon spiritist follows the code of conduct. Demon Spiritist code of conduct article 161: taking inscription patterns or copying inscription patterns from other demon spiritists must indicate their source and cannot claim them to be self-created. This is the ethics of Demon Spiritists!"

"You….you..." Shen Xiu trembled from the anger. Nie Li's words directly hit on the weak spot. He directly said that Sacred family did not follow the Demon Spiritist's ethics, but even so, she couldn't refute Nie Li's statement.

"If they were learning from the Lightning Flame inscription patterns in order to create their own inscription pattern, then it's fine. However, the Sacred family's first generation house master directly took half of it and claimed it to be his own. Isn't it a little too….. absurd? Listening to the discussions of the students, Shen Yue's placed down the book that he was holding.

With a calm face, he stood up from his seat and said, "Nie Li, my Sacred family has been passed down for three hundred years. This Scarlet Sunburst is written in the first house master's notes. Originally, it was not publicly announced. We younger generations found it when we were arranging the first house master's notes. So we thought that it was created by him. We are one of the three major families in Glory City although we can't really justify this by ignorance and this will likely be a huge scandal and will become a demerit for us but we are still part of Glory City and will do our best to wash our hands out of this bad reputation."

Nie Li looked at Shen Yue. 
'He is indeed my brother, he can already give a suitable explanation. Although claiming for the wrongdoings of the family he was still able to salvage the situation, just like we planned.'

"Student Shen Yue sure is one of a kind, although he and teacher Shen Xiu is in the same family they are still worlds apart." As Nie Li was going with the flow and assisting his best friend Shen Yue  looked at Shen Xiu and said. "Admitting our mistakes are the first step for redemption and if you can't even admit your mistake like young master Shen Yue here, then do you think you're worthy of being called as one of the Great Families of Glory City? ."

Nie Li put it this way, if Sacred family won't admit their wrong doing and were to go after him or Shen Yue, wouldn't that indicate that the Sacred family is not worth of being called as one of the three Great Families?

Seeing her nephew was siding with an outsider instead of herself ,Shen Xiu were angered to the point they almost vomited blood.

Ye Ziyun couldn't help but to look at Nie Li and Shen Yue again, never did she think that Nie Li is so daring to actually offend the Sacred family, even more so to Shen Yue being able to criticize one of the three major families and he was one of the three major family in Glory City. Recently, Nie Li's actions made her unable to ignore his existence, as for Shen Yue's actions? She was even thinking that he was a different person. Curiosity rose from Ye Ziyun's heart, what happened between this two to be so different from their selves just a few weeks ago.?

As for Xiao Ning'er, hearing how Nie Li uses his sharp words to attack the weak spot of Sacred family, she couldn't help but to feel happy. Her family has always been wanting to marry her off to the Sacred family, but in her heart she is conflicted. From the start her impression towards the Sacred family hasn't been good. Hearing how Nie Li subdued Shen Xiu with his words to the point that she is speechless all with the help of someone from the same family as Shen Xiu, she couldn't help laughing. At the same time her heart is deeply filled with adoration for Nie Li and curious for the transformation of Shen Yue. The two bought groceries after their shopping spree. They decided on having dinner at home as they no longer want to stay outside and just wanted to go straight home and have a rest.

When they reached their house in Regal Palace, Zhang Yixing opened the door for Zhou Yuexi and asked her go head inside first. Then, he took all the paper bags of groceries from the car's boot and went inside as well.

Zhou Yuexi was already waiting for him in the kitchen and she offered to be cook for the night but Zhang Yixing opposed. 

"You already made our breakfast, now let me cook for you.", Zhang Yixing reasoned.

Zhou Yuexi was hesitant at first but eventually gave in.

"What if he's a good cook? I better have a try then if he is then he's in charge of cooking from now on!", Zhou Yuexi thought to her self. "That's right! Haha I'll then have a personal chef all for myself!"

Zhang Yixing started preparing the ingredients he will use for his menu and Zhou Yuexi opted to watch him cook so she sat at one of the stools in the counter and observed her husband.

Looking at Zhang Yixing, Zhou Yuexi felt as if she was watching a cooking show. "Is he even real? How could he be tall, rich, handsome, a gentleman, and a good cook at the top of all that? Is he really a businessman not a chef?", she thought.

After an hour or so, Zhou Yuexi could already feel her stomach grumble in hunger and the enticing smell of the freshly cooked dishes didn't help.

"Come on, let's eat. This king cannot stand seeing his queen getting hungry and drooling for food.", Zhang Yixing kidded as he plated the dinner he cooked.

The two of them headed to the dining room and as soon as they got there, Zhang Yixing immediately placed the plates he was carrying on the table and  pulled out a chair for Zhou Yuexi. Then, he came back to
the kitchen to get the other dishes he prepared.

Zhang Yixing cooked Italian dinner for the both of them. He served Antipasto Salad, Chicken Carbonara, Osso Buco, Caprese Steak, and  Baked Eggplant Parm. 

When Zhou Yuexi's eyes landed on the plate of Chicken Carbonara, it was as if she saw the love of her life. "Yey! Carbonara!", she said, her eyes forming two heart shapes.

"I like Carbonara and I guessed you would most probably like it too since we have the same preference in food. Turns out my guess is right.", Zhang Yixing commented. "Dig in."

Without further ado, Zhou Yuexi took a serving of carbonara and started eating. When she tasted it, she was ecstatic as it turned out better than how she expected it to taste like. 

"It's final. From now on, he's in charge of our meals. I love his cooking!", Zhou Yuexi declared in her mind.

She finished the carbonara in her plate and decided to get another one but before she even did so, Zhang Yixing placed more carbonara in her plate plus the caprese steak already cut into bite size pieces. 

Zhou Yuexi looked at her husband in gratitude and continued eating. 

Zhang Yixing on the other hand was happy with how satisfied Zhou Yuexi was with his cooking. He usually eats in restaurants or ask for take outs from Azure Hotel's kitchen as he was too tired and lazy to cook for himself so tonight was one of the few times that he cooked. To be able to please his wife despite the lack of experience in the kitchen boosted his self confidence.

Zhou Yuexi looked at Zhang Yixing with her mouth full of food and raised her thumbs at him. When she swallowed her food, she said, "This is so good. I can eat your cooking all the time, like everyday!".

Zhang Yixing smiled at Zhou Yuexi's compliment. "I told you, I would do anything that pleases you so it is my utmost privilege to be your husband and chef.", Zhang Yixing accepted not noticing that he just sold himself to be Zhou Yuexi's slave. Not that he cares, though.

The couple talked about random things during dinner and then washed the dishes together afterwards. 

After they finished, the two headed to their room.

"Do you want to take a shower first?", Zhang Yixing offered his wife as he placed her handbag which he carried for her on the sofa.

Zhou Yuexi went straight in front of her vanity mirror and removed her accessories. "Nah, you use the bathroom first, I still need to remove my make up. I'll have a shower after you're finished.", she answered.

"Okay, you're the boss!", Zhang Yixing said then he went to take a shower.

Just after Zhou Yuexi stood up from her chair to prepare her clothes, the bathroom spitted out a steaming Zhang Yixing with only a towel draped across his hips and nothing else. His six pack abs immediately waved at Zhou Yuexi. 

"Damn! Could he be more perfect?! No wonder he felt so hard when I hugged him earlier, it was because of those freaking abs!", Zhou Yuexi commented to herself. 

Zhang Yixing's visual was so breathtaking that Zhou Yuexi forgot to breathe and was almost drooling. He was so stunning and the steam seeping from the open bathroom door was not helping either, it made him look even hotter. 

The admiring expression pasted all over Zhou Yuexi's face didn't escape Zhang Yixing's eyes. And as though doing it on purpose, he stayed longer by the door and even rubbed the towel on his hand against his dripping hair to dry it.

His actions only made Zhou Yuexi adore him more and he was obviously enjoying the attention his wife was giving him.

"Wipe your saliva.", Zhang Yixing said as he pointed Zhou Yuexi's lips, teasing her. "You're drooling."

Zhou Yuexi snapped out of her daze and realized the situation she was now in. "No I'm not!", she immediately denied in embarrassment.

Her whole face blushed, reason for her to bow her head. When she did, she obscurely wiped her lips to see if she really did salivate on her husband's body. 

Zhang Yixing who was watching her every move of course saw what she did and broke out in laughter. 

"Oh, darling you never fail to make me happy. I was just kidding.", he said in between his chuckles.

"I already heated the water, you can take a shower now."

Not wanting to face further humiliation, Zhou Yuexi rushed to the bathroom wanting to drown herself in the bathtub.

Zhang Yixing changed in to his pajamas and dried his hair. By the time Zhou Yuexi went out of the bathroom, he was already in bed, sitting against the headboard reading a book.

When he heard the bathroom door creak open, his attention separated from his book to Zhou Yuexi who was just wearing a towel around her body. 

It was now his turn to drool over his wife. The towel was rather short and it accentuated Zhou Yuexi's curves as it hugged her body. His body couldn't help but react so he had no choice but to look away to control his self though he wanted to stare at the heavenly sight in front of him. 

"Arg! I should have insisted that she showers first. I need a cold shower now but I can't possibly have another one when I just finished taking one.", Zhang Yixing thought to his self regretting his decision.

Unlike Zhang Yixing earlier, Zhou Yuexi was oblivious of Zhang Yixing's reaction and went straight to the walk in cabinet. She stepped in to a fresh set of pajamas, the same ones as what Zhang Yixing was wearing. All their clothes comes in pair, as requested by Zhang Yixing.

When she came out from the dresser, Zhang Yixing already silenced the beast inside him and was back to his normal state.

Zhou Yuexi lied at her side of their king sized bed. Zhang Yixing looked over her side and noticed that she was lying too far away from him.

"Why are you at the edge? What if you fall? Come lie near the center.", Zhang Yixing commanded.

Zhou Yuexi hesitated for a minute or so but still complied. She scooted a few inches nearer but still, there was a huge space separating the two of them.

"Why are you so reluctant? It's not like I'm going to eat you or something.", Zhang Yixing asked.

Zhou Yuexi pouted because she thought she was being reprimanded as his tone was rather unusual. "I'm just not used to having someone sleep beside me."

Zhang Yixing contemplated whether to sleep elsewhere in order to make his comfortable or to insist they sleep beside each other. But he thought, "If I let her continue sleeping on her own, she will never get used to sleeping beside me. Where will I always sleep then? In the sofa? No way on earth I'm doing that!"

"That's why you need to lie closer to me. So that you can get used to having me around.", he reasoned then he patted the space next to him. "Come here. I want to familiarize myself with having you around as well."

Zhou Yuexi thought about it and realized, "I'm not the only one trying to adjust, he too didn't have someone to sleep with before so he is adjusting as well. How narrow of me.", or so she thought.

 Zhang Yixing was light sleeper and having a bolster around to hug was a way to make him sleep tighter. So having someone instead of a bolster is most likely the same thing so there was no adjusting or whatnot.

Nonetheless, Zhou Yuexi complied and moved over to the space Zhang Yixing tapped. She sat just like the way Zhang Yixing did, her back against the headboard.

"What were you reading earlier?", Zhou Yuexi inquired wanting to change the topic.

Zhang Yixing remembered his book and took it from the his night stand. "Oh, this?", he showed the book to Zhou Yuexi. "It's about ways of how to be a good husband."

Zhou Yuexi stared at the book and then at Zhang Yixing. "But you're already so good to me. What more do you need to learn?", she asked.

Zhang Yixing smiled at Zhou Yuexi's praise for him. "I'm glad that you are pleased with my service."

"Why do you do that? Why are you so nice to me? I'm quite hard to get along with. I have a very short patience, I'm extremely picky, hard to convince, and I could be pretty bitchy at times, why do you waste your time on such a difficult person.", Zhou Yuexi asked.

Her words earned a frown from Zhang Yixing. "Why does she think so low of her self when she's the best woman I ever met in my entire life?", he thought.

"Because I want to. Because the moment I signed our marriage certificate, I willingly signed my self up for this. And you are not just a random difficult person, I'm willing to slave for you because you are my wife because you are Zhou Yuexi, the most amazing woman I know.", he answered as he snaked his arms around Zhou Yuexi's waist pulling her to his embrace.

 "So don't you ever ever think you are unworthy of my treatment. As I said, you are my queen, and I'm more than willing to give everything for my queen.", he added then he placed a kiss on her head. Then, he rested his head on hers, inhaling the fragrant scent of her newly washed hair. Her scent is like a drug to him, making him want to take in more as he took in her smell.

Zhou Yuexi was overly touched with Zhang Yixing's explanation. No one has ever made her feel that way before. Ever since her parents died, nobody ever reassured her that she is important, except her grandfather. During her childhood, she was often bullied for being a quiet nerdy student. She used a different name at school and wore disguise to keep her identity as an only heiress to a big company hidden. As a result she was often bullied and was continuously called berating names as she grew up, making her question her self worth all the time.

Hearing such reassurance from Zhang Yixing was a huge help to her mental health as she was always near depressed for her lack of self confidence. His words soothed the worries in Zhou Yuexi's mind that nobody will ever appreciate her and made her feel secure in his arms. 

Zhou Yuexi now felt that she was not alone in this cold and lonely world, she always have Zhang Yixing, her husband.

She looked at him with slightly teary eyes. "Thank you. For appreciating me. For assuring me that I'm not alone.", she said then hugged Zhang Yixing back, enjoying the warmth that they shared.

"My pleasure.", he smiled at her.

"Please don't leave me.", she said straight to his eyes and waited for him to answer.

Zhang Yixing hugged her tighter and lightly kissed her forehead. "Never darling, never."

"Let's sleep, we need to wake up early to visit grandfather tomorrow.", he added then the two of them lied on the bed with each other in their arms and they soon drifted to sleep.

Zhou Yuexi is an orphan who grew up in the care of her grandfather. Now her grandfather is old and sick and his only dying wish is to see his only granddaughter get married. The old man arranged ger to be married to his friend's grandson. Zhou Yuexi agreed to her grandfather's wish and got married to Zhang Yixing.

Zhang Yixing is the current CEO of Zhang Corporation. He has everything that a woman wants, tall, rich and most importantly, handsome. A perfect husband material, as the nation branded him. The only downfall of this seemingly perfect man is he's not interested in girls. But all of a sudden he finds out that his grandfather set him up to be in an arranged marriage. It was an alien idea to him but he agreed to it nonetheless. Because it doesn't matter to him who he marries as long as the woman knows how to adjust to his temperament. Never did he expect that the one he married is just as temperamental as he is.

Will they be able to last long in their marriage? or will they fall out as fast as they got married?

I am a average normal guy. I wake up, I take a bath, I dress up, I go to school and I hate school. I hate school because first I am not smart my grade are just average and I am not a sporty person. During our P.E class (Physical Education) we play dodge ball, basketball,  soccer, and more but I easily get tired and I envy their skills because I don't have much I am not good in lots of things (except in being good at nothing I am good at that). I was going home when I saw this book and It looked so old that I thought it was unreadable but when I flipped the page and started reading the book it described about a world where technology was not really needed in their lives and that they were using magic to help their daily needs. I wished that I was in that world and not in this world and when I finished wishing that wish inside my head the book floated and started talking "boy do you wish to leave this world?" and I said "ofcourse I want to leave my boring life behind and I want to live in a world where I am powerful and everybody would look up to me also I want to creat my own harem" then the book said this "then if you wish to leave this world behind and start a new life, you must sacrifice something that is most important to you". I was thinking that I didn't really have anything that is important to me then the book suddenly said "  I am the book of knowledge I know everything and anything now if you don't have anything to offer then offer your self to save the world of magicians." After what he said I asked "Mr. book sir why do I need to save the world of magicians and who are you how can you talk?" then the book said "I told you I am the book of knowledge I know everything. I maintain the barrier that devide the 3 worlds. You need to save the wold of magicians becuase I am getting weaker I am now sextillion years old on your normal world calendar I was the first being that God created and that is why I know everything know I need you to save the world of magicians becuase I am already old I can't maintain the barrier between normal world, magician world, and monster world. You may ask why do you need to save the world of magician you need to save that world becuase if the barrier between the 3 worlds will be broken the monsters would attack all the worlds including this because monsters only think of them selves and the monsters would attack the world of magicians first becuase they have magic and they would attack this world last becuase it is an easy target this world doesn't have any trace of magic." Then I said "how could I defend that world when I am just an average guy, weak, and also has no magic." then Mr. book said "don't worry my boy I will give you all the knowledge that I know and then you would be the 2nd most powerful being in this worlds that God created." Then I said " Why would you transfer all of your knowledge to me and how will you know that I will save that world?" Then the book said " because you know what it feels to be weak." I was offended by what he said. He said " My boy you are the one I chose because of your experience in this world because when the monsters attack the magician world then this world they would get defeated becuase the monsters are so powerful and because of that I chose you becuase you know what it feels to lose and realize that you can't do anything so I chose you" When he said that I was scared because he said that the monsters were powerful but then he started to turn to sand and I had pictures poping out of my head it was like I knew how the world began and also I saw how to use magic and tried it and it worked then the book said " my boy I will now rest I will pass on this burden to you, you shall sacrifice your self for the good of the worlds" I was about to say that atleast guide me but he turned to sand after ha said his last sentence.

It was necessary to 'read one hundred times, naturally grasp the meaning', but there were some people that only needed ten days while others needed half a year. There was truly nothing to say about this sort of comparison. It was just as Tang Thirty-Six had said, that girl often made others speechless, and Chen Changsheng naturally had no better choice than to remain silent.

But for some inexplicable reason, when Shuang'er saw Chen Changsheng's silent, almost dull, appearance, she grew unhappy. Perhaps she felt, since you have an engagement with the young lady, then even if your strength is far inferior to hers, you should still display a little will and ambition, no?

Chen Changsheng took the sheet of paper, somewhat at a loss. He didn't understand the meaning of her words, thinking to himself, I've hidden myself away in this cemetery-like academy to silently read and cultivate, but could it be that the Divine General's estate and Young Lady Xu still find me an eyesore?

As he searched, he thought about those words the maid Shuang'er had said to him. He couldn't help but wrinkle his brow, and the speed at which his finger traveled along the books slowed. Was it really possible to read all these books one hundred times in ten days? Just how should they be read?

On Purification was just a general summary of cultivation—the forty-nine books on its back cover were the true object of study. Students needed to use the knowledge and wisdom contained in these books to open their minds, solidify their understanding of the world, and thus strengthen their souls.

This was a purely spiritual side of cultivation. Chen Changsheng walked along the bookshelves as he searched for those books. Although he was abnormally familiar with the ordering of books in this library, he still needed an entire hour to find all forty-nine books. He then brought them to the window and aligned them according to their order on the list.

He did not immediately begin to read, instead going out to Hundred Flowers Lane and eating some vegetable soup and rice porridge. After that, he sat on the grass by the lakeshore, shaded by the thick forest, and rested for an hour. Only after his mind was fully content did he return to the library and take up the first book.

Previously, as he was searching for these books, he had already confirmed through the names of these books that he had never seen them before. It was just fusing and linking them up as one.

Time gradually passed, and from the moist ground outside the library came the chirping of insects.

'Master I will go and tend to the herbs'
' You don't have to start today you can start tomorrow if you are not feeling well' Robert said in concern as he had just seen how Knave had bid his farewell.
 "Chance" 'No Master grandpa has the herb garden under my supervision if something happens to the herbs when he is gone it will be my responsibility, I cannot let him down!'
  Old Robert seeing such a sensible kid could not help but nod, 'Ok go and see to it that you do not overdo it, if you find anything tough for yourself, you can let Sam know he will send help'
  After giving this instruction he was just about to go when he gave me a good gift for my performance till now 'Oh you can also rest 3 hrs instead of 2, you are still a kid you need some rest from time to time'
  'Thank you Master' without any reservations I directly accepted this benefit as it will help me to gather more information.
  After nodding again at me Robert went to the management office of the town, while I went to the back garden of the estate.
  As it was still a tough job for me to take care of the garden with this small body of mine but I liked the job, to be again in the field of herbs was a dream job for me. As they say, when you love to do your job you don't know when time passes by, I didn't even know when the afternoon sun came above my head I came out of the formation only when Sam came to call me for lunch.

 ' Steward after my lunch I would like to go to the library'
 'You don't have to worry about it, Master has already informed me and I have informed old Lark of your coming. Remember he was there here yesterday at the farewell party'

'Ok then go and he will take care of you'
  After finishing my lunch I went out of the estate towards the centre of the town, it did not take me long to reach the library there was hardly anybody in the library. Entering the library the first thing I did was to look for Lark as he is the librarian he would be able to give me the books needed easily.
   Old Lark was sitting behind the desk dozing off, after thinking I thought rather than asking him I should find it my self so to keep the secret that I am interested in the Immortal for future consideration.
   If I am caught they will just think I am a kid who is interested in Immortal if not I could use it for future planning, so after that, I started to look for books related to Immortals and cultivation but after searching for half an hour I could not find a book that could give me any information the only books I found contained fantasy or exercises that normal people could do. 
   As I was about to lose hope and ask Lark for information as Rick had told me I could find information related to Immortals in the library, when I was going towards the front desk I found a book in the lowest shelf with an interesting title that it attracted me to it.

ahh i am not even surprised, this book spirit contract, I don't know when I made contract with it but I think may be when I click on yes button,then contract was formed. This is great it can help me a lot, I can look my progress and formulate my plan with greater success. 
Now, I have to think about my present situation
