Chapter nineteen:

After walking out of the study Feng Qi's face was dark enough to drip ink. The entire hallway felt like it traveled back to the ice age as he walked toward his servant. 

"Where did Princess Meng go?" He asked creating an illusion of the calm before the storm. Shadow one didn't dare to speak and only pointed in the direction Meng went. A smile lacking any humor grew on Feng Qi's face.

"Good... very good... she dares to run off after creating this kind of mess. You were right Shadow one it's about time I payed her back for her kindness."

Traveling toward the royal library Meng felt a shiver go down her back. Feeling paranoid she carefully looked both ways before sighing in relief. That person should be just leaving the study by now....

Mend felt a bit guilty toward Feng Qi for chaining him to her, but she knew it was the best option. In the book, one of Feng Qi's most damaging traits is the fact that he never got close to anyone. He always put some kind of distance, which soon became a habit of his. 

Without being able to connect to people he had a severe shortage of close followers. In fact they could be counted on one hand: Shadow one, Shadow two, and all the way up to five.

Considering the fact that they all acted as shadows, it would be safe to say that in the book, Feng Qi had no supporters. One man against the world might sound grand, but in the end, it's very difficult. The higher sect's went after him and all of his shadows when he later on breaks the ancient law of being a cultivator who exceeds the earth rank without being apart of a sect. He was powerful, however without lots of money or any kind of connections he was doomed to fall short of the resourceful sects. 

She had to be shameless in order to throw him off that path and on to a new one. Based off of the book, her being his fiancé shouldn't hurt his future much as in the novel he didn't have a fated love one. 

To be clear Meng didn't feel love for Feng Qi and if he did meet a girl she approved of she wouldn't mind stepping aside. All she felt for him was admiration and protectiveness. He was her only light in her past life and she would make sure that light never goes out in this one.

When Meng reached the royal library she slid inside before closing the door tightly behind her. Standing in the dark, old library gave her a sense of comfort and protection making her forget about the fear of Feng Qi finding her. 

Looking around, her eyes lit up like fireworks seeing all of the books lining the shelves. Her entire body shook with excitement as she picked up random books and flipped through them inhaling the familiar scent. 

The library seemed to never end, going so far that those who didn't cultivate couldn't see the ending. However, Meng estimated that it around 5 acres. 

A slight grin grew on her face. "Looks like a really lucked out!" She exclaimed to herself in wonder.

"Can I help you with anything?"  A old librarian walked out from behind a shelf. Seeing the beautiful child in red he couldn't help from being surprised. 

Commoners barely come to library because it's closed off from them and royals barely come because they would rather focus on cultivation than read books. 

Some of the books were about cultivation too, but because they were very hard to read many people would rather learn it from a master. Also, cultivation itself was more of something learned through experience not books. 

He quickly assumed the child must be here to fool around and felt annoyed. however, from the looks of her, she seemed to be someone of high standing so he shouldn't be rude.

Seeing the wrinkle in the old man's head, Meng could tell that he was annoyed with her, however why should she care? Books were her home she didn't need any assistance. Even though these books weren't on a computer... and seem super old... Meng toughened her stance and focused on the books ahead of her. 

"No thank you." Meng said humbly nodding her head at the librarian before walking into the sea of book. 

The librarian just shook his head before going back to his office.

Once she heard the librarians foot steps getting farther away, she started to look through books for one that could help her with cultivation. As she currently wasn't the previous Ru Gu Meng she had no idea about how to cultivate. The novel touched on the subject, but it wasn't nearly enough for her to even start to do it. As she was from an entirely different world, she needed to know the foundations for cultivation.

The advantage that she recently found out that got from transmigration is that, now when she closed her eyes and thought about the book she no longer just remembered texts, she could see images as if she were a ghost watching in the place of the narrator.

Meng felt that once she learned the basics of cultivation she should be able to copy the 'God Flying Phoenix'  method of the MC to be able to get up to the bottleneck of the martial level. She was transmigrated to this world two years before Feng Qi is exiled from the sun kingdom, which when it came to the decades it took to cultivate, was barely time at all. She needed to prepare as soon as possible.

Meng's finger glided across the books on the bottom shelf. From the names she could tell she found the right section of the library, however finding out the best one from the ocean of books was impossible. 

"Sigh. I'll start with this one then." Grabbing a book that seemed to be what she was looking for she sat down on one of the couches and started to read.

Meng's eyebrows crinkled together as she glared at the colorful language the text used. Maybe if the authors for cultivation books were more straight forward reading would actually be a popular task...

Meng Yin, a shut in, dies of a broken heart when the author of a novel kills off her favorite character. She wakes up as a mob character of that very same novel called Ru Gu Meng.

CHAPTER TWELVE:

The next day Harry had 'Remedial Potions', and as he made his way down to the dungeons he considered the previous evening's happenings. He had barely been able to think of anything else all day, and he felt the only reason why Hermione didn't scold him for his inattention was that she was preoccupied with it, too.

Knocking on the heavy wood door, he waited until the harsh voice called "Enter," before opening it. To his surprise, Professor Dumbledore was there, apparently having a conversation with the Potions Master.

"Ah, Harry," he said benevolently, and Harry gave a wan smile.

"How are you, Professor?" he asked civilly, noting that the Headmaster's eyes were twinkling and looking away to meet dark eyes instead. "Professor Snape," he greeted, jerkily inclining his head to the professor. "Am I early?" He knew full well that he wasn't, and hoped that Snape would take the opening – and he did.

"I doubt that you are even capable of arriving early to an appointment, Potter," the man sneered. "We will begin our lesson as soon as the Headmaster leaves. I suggest you sit and read chapter ten of this book," Snape said curtly, levitating a book onto a chair along the wall. "You were saying, Headmaster?"

Harry set his bag down beside the chair and picked up the book, reading the title as he sat down. It was a book on meditation and mental health. Opening it to chapter ten, Harry pretended to focus on the description of mind palaces while trying to listen in on the professors' conversation. They seemed to be discussing potions for the infirmary, and Harry was surprised to discover that Snape brewed almost the entire stock. His respect for the man went up when he realized that all the potions Madam Pompfrey had given him over the years had been brewed by this surly man. Eventually he decided that the conversation wasn't important and focused fully on the text, fully expecting Snape to quiz him on it afterwards. To his surprise, it turned out to be rather interesting, and Harry was soon immersed in the book, only occasionally listening in to the conversation to make sure that they weren't discussing anything important.

It didn't take much longer for Dumbledore to leave – though not before asking Harry a question or two while holding twinkling eye contact – and then Harry was alone with Snape.

An awkward silence fell while the two sized each other up, each finding that the other seemed different now.

"Can I speak freely, sir?" Harry asked, willfully suppressing the 'uh...' that had wanted to escape in front of his question.

Snape flicked his wrist once, then said, "You may." His expression didn't betray any of his thoughts, and suddenly instead of finding that hateful Harry found it admirable. Here was a man with full control over what he revealed to others.

"Ron, Hermione and I talked to my future self last night," he said promptly, "and he removed the spells from us." Harry hesitated, then ploughed on, "I wanted to apologize for the past few years, sir."

Snape's face remained perfectly expressionless for a full minute, during which Harry forced himself not to fidget – and then he smirked. "I never thought I'd live to see the day when a Potter apologizes to me," he drawled, his eyes intent. "The apology is accepted; although I have been led to believe that it is another who should apologize in your stead."

Harry's face darkened. "He has a lot to answer for," he said as levelly as he could. He had decided to show this man that he was not just the Gryffindor Golden Boy, who let his emotions dominate his actions, but also a Slytherin capable of keeping his emotions in check.

"Indeed." Although the word was spoken mildly, Harry thought he saw a glint of something dangerous in the Potions Master's eyes before the man turned away. "We will start from the beginning. I have here a set of books that I suggest you and the rest of the Golden Trio," he sneered the term, "read thoroughly." Pushing the set of books forward, the Potions Master fixed him with a fathomless look. "I would apologize for my treatment of you, but as in your case, another was responsible for my actions. Besides," he smirked, "you will learn that a Slytherin never apologizes."

"Yes, sir," Harry said, unable to keep a grin from his face. Grabbing his bag and the book Snape had given him to read, he moved forward to the desk. "Ron was wondering whether you'd be interested in a round of Veritaserum with our esteemed Headmaster," he said mildly as he set down his things; when he looked up he saw a satisfied smirk on the Potions Master's face.

"I may be," he replied just as mildly, and Harry smiled mischievously as they settled down for their first real lesson.

Meanwhile, another Harry was considering how to get at the Horcruxes. Hufflepuff's Cup was in the Lestrange vault, and as their closest relatives were the Blacks, the vault would go to the House of Black after their deaths. They would be the first Death Eaters to die when the Order started picking off the Inner Circle, Harry decided.

Then, there was the ring that had sped Dumbledore towards death in the other timeline. The question was whether to let Dumbledore fall for it again or whether to deal with it himself... He'd deal with that when he discussed the Horcruxes with the Headmaster; if he insisted to tag along then Harry wouldn't try hard to persuade him otherwise, and if he ended up putting on the ring again, well, Harry tried to persuade him not to join him... Harry grinned and moved on to the next one.

Nagini. Truth was that Severus would not be able to remain a spy for much longer if they were going to start picking off Death Eaters, and if Harry went back it would be to kill Snake Face, not to play the faithful follower. If he could deal with the remaining Horcruxes and as many Death Eaters as possible before he and Severus were summoned, then they could possibly deal with both Nagini and Snake Face at the same time... It would be an awfully close time frame to get that all done before Friday, though, seeing as it was already Tuesday evening... Harry grimaced. Okay; hold off on Death Eater assassinations until after the next summons. Focus on the Horcruxes; bargain with the goblins to get the Cup if necessary. After next summons, kill as many Death Eaters as possible as quickly as possible, and deal with snake and Snake Face at following summons. He couldn't help but feel that he was missing something, however, and it was with a heavy heart that he admitted to himself what it was that gave him pause.

Standing and walking into his bedroom, Harry crouched to rifle through the suitcase Dobby had brought him from the Black vault. He was sure that the scroll had been there in the other timeline...

A quarter hour later he had found the scroll he needed - the one with a spell that indicated whether an object was a Horcrux or not. Practicing until he was fairly sure that he had it right, Harry took a deep breath. Here goes nothing... Casting the spell at his head, Harry held his breath – and cursed violently when a red light flashed.

I moved in and activated dimension ripper, burning into his left arm. The armorer's health was at 5%. Meat Shield clawed and bit deeply into his shoulder, showing quite an amount of ferocity for a small fluff ball. Eventually, with burn marks scarring his entire body, and the level 5 armorer sank to the ground.

The Merchant of Avarice's eyes lit up at the sight of so much gold. 10 gold was the equivalent of 10,000 silver. It was a huge payday.

Normally, this amount of gold was impossible to possess right now, unless you were Steel Slice and could afford to throw around large sums of real world money.

The disaster level event being triggered introduced so much chaos into the system, that balance was bound to be thrown out the window in some situations.

Even so, finding instances of wonky balance was not easy. This particular exploit required equal parts wits and luck to figure out.

Seriously. Who in their right mind would think to backstab the village vendors for profit in the middle of a goblin invasion? You'd have to be a huge asshole.

"You take the sword, since I can't wield it, and we'll split the gold fifty-fifty."

Books' voice broke me out of my self-reflective inner monologue.

"Sure."

There was no need to try to haggle the loot distribution with Books. 10 gold was a massive sum at this point in time, but you couldn't put a price on having a trustworthy ally.

"Nya, I leveled up~"

Meat Shield was level 5 now. It made me sick knowing that my pet was catching up to me in levels. I checked my status and put a point in physical defense.

Now it was time to collect my hard earned loot! A wicked smile appeared on my face as I approached the locked armory door.

I took the key and unlocked the door. The room gave off a musty smell. I stepped into the small armory.

"Eh, it's still a small town huh. Not that great of a selection."

Beginner staves, swords, and bows lined the walls.

"Ah, it's a shame we can't carry all this beginner equipment with us. They're cheap individually but would add up to a tidy sum together. But my inventory has a kg limitation…"

Books sounded like a real merchant.

"Kg limit? Actually… I can help with that."

I opened a portal to the dimension room and began throwing all the beginner stuff in.

"Wow, your class gives you limitless storage space?"

"Yeah, more or less."

Books looked at me with a pouty, envious look in his eyes.

"I want that ability. Hoarding should be a merchant's specialty."

"Don't be greedy. You already have your potions."

I took the Basic Amulet of Magic and Thief's hood, while Books took the Helmet of the Warlord. Since it was a rank C item, The Helmet of the Warlord was worth more than the two of my items combined.

Books offered to cover the difference with gold, but I declined. We were set to share a lot more loot in the future, so it would be troublesome to be tied back counting small differences.

Books appreciated the gesture.

The items were really suited for us. I got a mana regen bonus and some much needed vitality, and Books got a flat strength boost. With the strength bonus, Books had a strength stat that equaled a rare melee combat class at his level. It was time to fight our way out of town.

"Interesting."

The developers at Eclipse company were captivated by a certain duo holding their own during a goblin invasion in town. They were alerted to the duo by the system, because they were the first to kill an NPC shopkeeper in the game. It was an impossible task to pull off at their level, or at least it was supposed to be if the game world was in a normal state.

The goblin king's invasion threw many of their calculations off, and feats that were deemed impossible under normal circumstances were now possible.

Eclipse company's developers had access to unrestricted live game footage that the general public did not have access to. This kind of footage could make millions of dollars if broadcasted, but would destroy the integrity of the game by offering perfect information.

The live footage showed a hooded user named [Spoon] using a strange black colored magic on his left hand to tear into the goblin's flesh. His companion, a user called [Books], cut down goblins with his Fine Sword, chugging potions whenever he dropped before 40% health.

"What are their classes?"

"I predict [Spoon] to have a black magic class, and [Books] to be a mercenary type class."

"Hang on, I'm pulling up their data."

"[Spoon] is a [Dimension Thief] and [Books] is a [Merchant of Avarice]."

"…"

A merchant and thief class, holding their own in a fight where even the [Barbarian King] and [Berserker] had trouble?

"I really like the Merchant of Avarice class."

"Thanks, my team designed it."

"If your team designed it, why didn't you recognize it from the footage?"

"I never thought the merchant class could hold its own in combat…"

"What is this Dimension Thief class? Did we add that in the game?"

"I don't remember seeing that."

"Check the logs."

"There's nothing coming up for [Dimension Thief], sir."

"That means it's a unique class designed by the Eclipse AI itself."

"Wow."

Books, Meat Shield, and I made a formidable fighting force. I severely underestimated Meat Shield's fighting power as an inter-dimensional cat. She could jump in and out of the dimension room with ease during combat, making her incredibly hard to kill. The only problem was motivating the moody cat to help me.

Meanwhile, Books now had the power of a rare C rank helmet that boosted his strength to the level of an advanced combat class.

We needed to retreat though. Books ran out of potions, and my mana regen was at its limit with how often I was using dimension ripper. At this rate, we were all dead.

The thought of the 24 hour penalty in addition to my PK and shopkeeper killing penalties made my hair rise.

On the side of the street were the bodies of two warriors and a mage from Steel Guild. I ran to the bodies and checked for any loot I could use.

Books was overwhelmed by three goblins. A spear was impaled in his side, and his health was under 20%. Meat Shield was doing her best to keep the goblins distracted enough so that they didn't finish off Books.

I downed a mana potion, then pointed my right hand at the goblins surrounding Books.

"Thunderbolt."

My right hand cackled with electricity, and a bolt of wild electricity shot out from my palm towards the goblins.

Something went wrong.

BOOM.

The palm of my hand sparked and exploded violently upon casting. It was a more serious version of when you unplug an electric socket forcefully, and sparks fly out of the socket.

The wild bolt of lightning struck the goblin in front, instantly frying it. Dimensional thief was a class with exceptional intelligence growth, which magnified the raw power of the mage thunderbolt skill.

The explosion damage was proportional to my intelligence with an S rating, but I only received 25 damage, when a normal mage or thief would have been instantly killed by the recoil.

The low recoil damage was because my magic resistance growth on this class was astronomically high. If I was any other class, this penalty would make thunderbolt a suicidal option.

Although I have spent five days in this body. I'm still not used to having scales on certain parts of my body. It did not give me an uncomfortable feeling because the scales could become smooth or rough at my will.



 On a different note, Only those in the Nascent realm and above are allowed to be Inner sect disciple. It was because of Celestial Qin Dragon clan that I was allowed to be an Inner sect disciple in the first place. I like to remind you that Long Yi who is in the 12 QI stage is an Inner sect disciple.

 Mount Tainwu is where the Inner Sect zone of the Virtuous Dual sect is located while the Outer sect zone is located at the bottom. I stand at the edge of Mount Tainwu, trying to resist the urge to play with the clouds that are floating next to me. 


 I cleared my mind so I can focus while gathering the spiritual energy and experiences, from the memories of the previous Jing Huan. By letting those memories guide me. My blue scales begin to glow while also extending across my skin. The temperature in my body slowly changes between hot and cold repeatedly. I began channelling more which spiritual energy circulates at a slow and steady pace, which then proceeded to merge with my scales, causing it to enlarge and expand. I as my body slowly began to grow, I felt the spiritual energy coursing through all corners of the body, starts to even out. 


Before long, a blue Celestial Dragon appeared, floating slightly off the ground. It was fifteen meters long while also being large enough to easily swallow a school bus whole. By its presence only,  it forced grass to lay flat on the ground while trees were forced to bend in the opposite direction.

'' Yeah, I never going to get tired doing of this any times soon. "

it was only when I first transform, that I was able to understand the reason why the Celestial Qin Dragon are arrogant characters. Wouldn't you be a little arrogant if nature bow's at your presence? Although I saw it several times in Jing Huan, seeing and doing are two different things. Four days before I met Long Yi, on my spear time, I've been practising with properly adapting to my dragon form. Continuously staying in the dragon form does not consume spiritual energy, only when transforming. I believe with one more full night of practice I will be able to transform with just a single thought like the previous Jing Huan.


 Seeing that the sun was beginning set.  I flew to the sky and proceeded to do three loops to loops before diving into clouds to descend Mount Tainwu. 



After ten minutes of flying at my maximum speed. I was finally able to reach the Outer sect zone.


'' I can't believe Mount Tainwu is 10th largest Mountain in the Dongmeng Empire. I'm really interested in seeing number one. " I thought to my self when I realize the spiritual energy is slightly less in The Outer sect zone.



Floating high in the sky, I look around to observe the environment. Judging from what I've seen, the Outer sect zone is separated into 5 sections. The training area where I can see humans and demons of different ages sparring with one another. A Market area that seems to sell necessity that your average cultivator would need. And a housing area with a bunch of Houses that are at least Twenty meters apart from each other.



After pondering for while I flew over to a random spot in the housing area to gather proper information since I was having trouble identifying the last two section. Descending to the ground, I return to my original form. I then started to search for a person to interact with. A short period of time passes and I ended up greeting a 20-year-old man in the Foundation realm. He then explains to me the meaning of the two the section in the outer sect zone and also gave some helpful details on housing area which is known as the living quarters.




The Library Quarters, where the student can read books on the basic knowledge of cultivation. They can also call upon a teacher for cultivation guidance as long as they make an appointment. The next area is known as the Main Hall. It where you cash in your reward for doing missions. The missions include doing stuff like gathering herbs, killing wild beasts around mortals villages, finding mortals who have the affinity to cultivate, etc. 




In the Living Quarters, only the houses with the talisman's on the door are the one that is available to move into. I  thank the man for the info and we parted ways. Strolling through the Living Quarters I shortly came across a house with the talisman on the door. As I entered the talisman immediately disintegrated into nothing and number are written as 456 replaces the talisman.  The house consisted of two rooms with a table and two set's of chairs, in the next room, had a bed which could fit at least two individuals. It looked like a comfortable bed with a lot of moving space that made it easier to change positions which can come in handy during SPECIAL night activities. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)


Ahem, let's recall the plan that I spent five days making.

Although everything I just said was easier said than done, I have to at least give it my best, especially for Step 2. 



 Realizing the sun had finally set, I  decided to spend the whole night repeatedly turning into my dragon form so I could transform as fast as the original Jing Huan.

I woke up; feeling mum screaming at me to wake up. After getting fresh I went downstairs for breakfast. I saw mum serving food for my brother and father and she gestured me to sit. I was holding a book in my hand, which I wanted to complete today.

I sat on chair and then kept a bookmark in the book, so that later I won't have problem finding the page where I left. Then I kept the book on the table and was about to eat my breakfast.

"Dear, at least for now; find some internship and keep those books aside. You need to find a job." I heard dad say and my gaze went to him, he was fully focused in the newspaper headlines.

"Sure dad." I said almost with no feeling and a forced smile; looking all cheerful, one fake smile is enough to make others believe that you're okay.

"What are you going to do today?" dad asked

"I'll be going for an internship today." I replied.

"That's good then. I hope you get a job after your graduation." Dad said and smiled at me. I completed my breakfast and took my book and kept it inside my bag.

 I looked at him before going out.

I took my bag and headed out of my house and bid a farewell, "I'm going." A lot of thoughts started coming into my mind while walking. 

I always wanted to tell them that I don't want to do what they want. I want to do what I want and I have a dream. I want to live my dream not their. Someone told me once "Don't be trapped in someone else's dream" and I want to live my dream for my happiness. Sometime being selfish is better than losing everything including your happiness and regretting.

 While walking suddenly a figure caught my eye; I saw her face. She was wearing a white dress and she looked like she is either lost or finding something. And after looking at her; I again started walking towards my destiny.

I opened the door, "Hey Min. Welcome to work." I love books; frankly if I could then I would love to spend my whole life with books. Being with them gives me happiness. I work as a part timer in bookstore. I did lie to my parents about internships.

I saw my co-worker smiling at me. He was Gguk. He was calm guy. I went to him and smiled. He's really a good guy and both of us share the same dream. We are University mates; with him I share nearly everything.

I started arranging some books. I kept them on their places and sometimes some books caught my attention and I used to stare at those books. 

Sometimes I just wish,only if I could live in the world of books then I would have brought a library under my name and definitely a music studio. I would love to spend my time with books and music. Reality hit me when a book dropped from upper self on me. and while keeping that book. A book caught my attention; so I kept that book and took out the new book "Let It Snow" which I left in middle once and then someone took it and again returned it.

Right now, continuing that book seemed as the best thing so I started reading. After sometime I saw the time; I kept it hurriedly and started to work again. I kept a bookmark on the page where I left. Arranging the books are best. It feels so good. Literally so good

I went back to the counter and while staring at the door; it opened and revealed a girl; the girl whom I saw on streets. She looked at me and we had a short eye contact. I saw her staring at the books and going from one self to the other self. And then I saw; she took out a book. She was reading and smiling and I also smiled at that thought that she must be enjoying that book. But then my eyes landed on the book and I figured out that; the book she was holding was the one which I left. I again smiled; unknowingly. I saw her reading and I resumed my work. But I felt nervous; all of a sudden. I just hope that she doesn't buy this; I haven't completed this book yet.

She walked to me and she was holding my bookmark.

"May I know whose bookmark is this? It was inside this book. And it's written that 'I LOVE BOOKS NO MATTER HOW THEY ARE, LET'S TRUST THEM AND FIND OUR THE DESTINY; OUT OF THEM.'" I quickly bowed her and said "I'm sorry. It's my bookmark." And I looked at her, she was smiling sweetly.

'Everytime she smiles; it makes my heart beat fast.
Unknowingly she was special for me.'

"Do you want to buy it?" I asked her still feeling nervous because I wanted to complete that book but if she says she will buy; then I'll definitely give it to her.

"It's a bit costly." She kept that book on my desk and before leaving she smiled at me. She left with her pretty smile. Soon after she left I went to keep that book in its place; keeping that bookmark in it.

While keeping "Let it Snow" I thought about that girl; she was definitely the one whom I saw in the morning while coming here. I wonder how she is and hope she will find her destiny soon.

I shrugged her thoughts off my mind and kept"Let It Snow" where it was; I went back to my counter and resumed my work. 

After some time, customers started coming and I became busy and didn't get chance to think about that girl again.

My shift was over by now. The door opened and I stepped out of the bookstore. "Goodbye Min. Have a nice day ahead" I heard Gguk said and I smiled at him and left. I looked at the streets and it was raining.

"It usually rains here? I was caught up in rain yesterday too." I heard a voice.

"I hope I can be with you for just one day."	

It's a story of a boy and how he met a girl for the first time and wanted to spend the first and last day with her. Something was there between... them. They had somewhat similar story; they shared the same taste in books, music. Even though they met for the first time and the feelings were new to them yet they felt each other very comfortable.
After they spend their first and last day... will they meet ever again? Or their fate has decided something else?

"Good morning Glen Cove!"

I heard my alarm clock go off and I reach over and smack it. I sit up, scratching my head and think about my strange dream. It was so real and vivid; I didn't know quite what to think. I look at the time and see it is now 8:01 am.

[Crap I got to meet my sister in a bit.]

Memories of my dream rush to my head and I start getting an ominous feeling. I grab my phone and call my sister.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

"Hey bro! Was up?"

"Hey, Maya. I don't think we should go to that debate today. I got a bad feeling about it; I'll take you anywhere else just not to the mall today."  

"Oh, come on! It's just like you to flake out on me like that. If you don't want to go, then don't go, I'll go myself."  

"No! I'm not trying to get out of it, I just had a dream...look I can't really explain it."  

"Look I have to get ready. If I don't see you at the mall then fine. Goodbye"  

She hangs up on me and I sat there lost in thought. The scenery flashes around me and I find myself standing in the food court of the mall. Looking around confused I see my sister walk over to me. 
 
"So, look who decided to show up."  

"Hey, Maya. Look I'm sorry but I really did have a bad feeling about being here today."
  
"Yeah, yeah. Let's go before the seats are gone."  

The scenery flashes again and this time I find myself lying in Maya's lap. I can see her talking to me but there is no sound. I guess I am dying right here? What are these anyway? Memories? Another flash later and I am sitting in a chair in front of a desk with a macho-man. 
 
"So, seeing as how you were the cause of the incident as well as your past crimes, you have been judged as needing rehabilitation."  

Wait, what!? This again!? I try to scream out and plead my case, but it seems I can't make any sound. The man hits the enter key and the scenery flashes again. I am now inside of my prison cell. I look around and see the surroundings making me shiver.  

"No please! I don't want to relive this part again. I can't take it."  

My cell door opens and the empress of evil is standing in front of me.

.  
.  
I receive so many beatings again, and again, and again. Neira is simply breaking my body as fast as it heals. Then she just leaves. My surroundings flash again and this time I am chained to the pillar and I let out a sob.  

"Please...just stop already."  

I endure this torture too until whatever force is holding me here is done. After a while I find myself running from the wolves and it always ends with my fight with the alpha. Then just as the alpha jumps at me time stops. I look around in confusion with a slight hope that maybe this will finally stop.  

"So now we can finally talk for real."  

Hearing this mysterious voice, I look at its source. It came from a small child with long black hair and piercing green eyes. Her body is completely covered in scars and her presence reminds me of a wild animal. She is wearing some leather clothing that is more like a simple sleeveless one-piece robe or dress. This must be Allynna. This must be...me.  

"So, you finally realize who I am." she says  

"I do. But where is this? Your memories?"  

"No. These are our memories. It seems when you activated when we turned four, the merging of our memories plus the traumatic experience shattered our minds."  

I nod at her kind of understanding a bit of what happened while she continues.  

"While we are technically one person Allynna's mind and your mind didn't want to fuse properly. So, because of that our soul is also in disarray. Leveling up any more while in disarray may actually be fatal for us."  

"Wait! What do you mean its fatal?" I say with anger.  

"Do you remember how that demi-god treated us? Not even bothering to hear our story? Also, remember Neira and what she did. How about our current situation?"  

"Of course, I remember. How could I not?"  

She looks at me giving me a crooked smile.  

"Good. Then for us to merge properly we need to be on the same page. What I want is simple, to pay back those that hurt us and others that do so in the future. With a fury that shall burn like wildfire"  

I understand where she is coming from. I want to get revenge too. But that is impossible the ones that did this to us are people I can't even touch.  

"Look, I want revenge just as much as you do but it's impossible now. The ones that hurt us we can't do anything about it."  

She sighs and looks disappointed, then speaks.  

"I see. So, you choose that answer. You simply need to realize nothing is impossible for pure fury. The sooner you realize this the better. You will wake up soon and don't worry I'll talk to you again." 
 
With that, she and the scenery around me fade into dust and I am left in the darkness again.  

I feel something wet against me I also hear waves and the sounds of nature. I open my eyes and I find myself lying down on a sandy shore. Next to me is the dead body of a wolf. Looking around I see that I am standing on the shore of a large river, so large I can barely make out the other side. I start to inspect my body and grimace when I come to the wolf bite on my arm.  

"Ow, that hurts. I need to find something that can heal this."  

"Why don't we find some herbs. You have that appraisal ability, right?" 
 
She or myself is right. I check for my satchel and find it is still there. I throw out anything that was ruined by the water. I then look down at the wolf and decide to take it with me, at least it will be something to eat. Carrying the wolf over my shoulder similar to a fireman carry, I begin to search the various plants using my appraisal. It should give me a rough estimate as to which ones have a healing property and which don't. After a couple of hours of searching, I find a variety of possible plants. I move back to the river and set the wolf down. I then remove plants that need to be consumed so I only have the ones that need to be applied externally. Grabbing two rocks, one flat and one round, I place the various plants on the flat one. I add just a bit of water and I begin grinding the plants following my appraisal as best I can, determining which part of the plant I can use. Doing this leveled up my survival skill as well as granting me the alchemy skill. Once I had a nice yellow paste, I began to rub it into my wounds hoping this doesn't lead to an infection.  

I began looking around for a new place to camp. I was getting seriously hungry and had no idea how long I was out for. Thinking about it I am actually pretty lucky that I wasn't found by an animal or something. After finding a suitable location, I get to work on the wolf. It was kind of hard to do as rigor had already set in but at this point, I really didn't care I needed food. Once I finally had the meat ready, I started on the campfire and began cooking. The meat was a bit tough but it did its job I suppose. I then decided to call it for the night.  

The next morning, I decided to explore the river while looking for things I could eat for breakfast. I did manage to find some more arels and some berries that were not poisonous either, so I guess a fruit breakfast it is. While wandering around aimlessly I came across a large tree growing at an odd angle, intrigued I decided to investigate it. Upon closer inspection, I found out that the reason the tree was growing at the odd angle was because it was growing over a wooden cabin.  

I walked towards the treehouse and found that it was in fairly good shape. It definitely looked like it has been here a while. Walking up to the door I realized that the door was all crooked and didn't really close properly, I had to lift the door up a bit to open it. Walking inside I found it was all just one room, an old bed in the corner, basic kitchen in the opposite corner and the rest of the room was filled with old books, bookshelves, and other study materials.  

[I think I can make this into my new home.]  

I started looking around the house first going to the kitchen. The stove was a stone oven/stove combo. I inspected the chimney area and went outside to see if it was damaged. It looked intact which was good, I'll have to start it up later to be sure I can use it without smoke coming back into the house. Most of the metal cookware was in pretty great shape after wiping the dust off the pots and pans gave off a blackish green hue, it looked pretty cool. The other cookware was rusted pretty badly and had to be tossed. The bed was in serious need of dusting and cleaning which I proceeded to do. The mattress was made from some soft material, I wasn't quite sure what, but I hung it over a branch and beat it with a stick to dust it out.  

I proceeded to take the blanket to the river to wash it as best as I could and then brought it back and hung it out to dry. I really wanted to check out the rest of the house, it looked like some hermit lived there for who knows how long. I started to poke around through the books trying to see what they were when I came across a sudden realization...I can't read. Putting that aside for later I straighten out the books and other documents and do my best trying to clean up. Old herbs and food were tossed out and the kitchen area was cleaned up. I decided to try the stove, with a bucket of water handy, I started it up and had a small fire going. After a few moments, I realized that the smoke wasn't coming back in the house. I walked outside and viewed the chimney and saw it was working properly.  

After I was done cleaning It was past midday, so I brought in the mattress and the blanket and made up the bed. I decided to go out and hunt for some food now I could somewhat properly cook something. Finding another branch, I quickly whittled it down like a spear and left in search of food.  

I got pretty good at hunting, not the best but I did alright. Wandering through the woods I was searching for any signs of an animal. Finding some sign of movement and tracks I move towards my prey. Sitting on a tree was another elessir. This time I'm going to get my revenge. This time I have been practicing my throwing. I pick up a rock and throw it at the fake dragon. It manages to hit square in the body dropping it the found. While it is stunned, I move in with my knife and quickly dealt the finishing blow.  

"YES! I did it!" Before I can finish my celebration, I get a notification. 
 
You leveled up!  

A terrible headache, waves over my head dropping me to my knees. After a few moments, the pain subsides. I guess that is from the effect of leveling up. I pick up my food and head back to the house. 
 
Back at the house, I start up a fire in the stove and then I go and fill a pot with water and set it on the stove to boil. I take my elessir out towards the river where I dismantle and clean it by the river. I got a bit better at it since I first started this and for something as small as the elessir, I can do it in about 30 minutes. I return to my home and then proceed to place any small utensils in the boiling water. Using the hot water, I try to clean as many dishes as I can. Once I was done, I decided to cook the meat in a pan. I wish I some herbs or salt to cook with. I'll have to find some tomorrow. After dinner was done, I brought my plate over to the study area. There was a desk in a corner hidden by a pile of books earlier, I guess the owner ate and studied.  

Using the remaining light I have I then open a few books trying to study the characters while I chow down on mutant meat. Once it starts getting dark, I close the books and I rub my temples.  

"I guess it will be harder to learn how to read than I thought."  

"Why don't we ask that goddess? She might be able to help us."  

"Yeah, I suppose you're right." 
 
Going over the stove, I make sure the fire is out and then made my way to the old bed.
  
[This will be my first time sleeping in a bed since I've been here]  

I lay down and immediately fall asleep.  

I found myself on a beach somewhere. It looked to be about noon or so. I looked around and I spotted a figure lying face down on a towel. As I approached, I recognized the figure as Teona. She is wearing a bikini enjoying her sunbathing while reading a fashion magazine. Currently, her top is undone and she is just lying on her stomach with what appears to be some sunscreen lying next to her. 
 
"Hey, Teona. I am guessing this is a dream?"  

Without looking up at me she replies.  

"Sort of. When you fell asleep, I pulled you into my realm. Thanks to your constant misfortune I was able to gain more strength. Now I have an older body and a beach."  

"Oh yay...so glad  my misfortune can help." I sarcastically reply.  

"Ha! I've been watching you lately and I know you are trying to read now."  

"I would call you a stalker but I guess that what gods and goddesses do."  

"Yup! That's right I am stalking you. Seriously though thank you for the extra power you've given me I'll give you a little gift. I will grant you a skill to read and speak your native language, but it will be level 1 so you won't understand everything at the beginning."
  
"Awesome and with this I can learn the rest of the language and read those books."  


"There is an added bonus too. By spending time around other languages you can pick those up as well." 
 
This language skill is badass. I'll be able to learn all the languages. 
 
"Oh yeah. I have something I wanted to ask you. Why do you get so much power from me?" 
 
She closes her magazine, puts on her sunglasses and rolls over on her back.  

[Damn goddess at least have some shame.]  

"Oh, don't be so shy we're both girls here. Anyway, to answer your question, your misfortune is of the divine variety." 
 
Noticing my discomfort, she quickly puts her top back and continues.  

"So, since your misfortune really all started because of a demi-god your misfortune changed to a divine misfortune. To top it all off you got an accidental soul curse which is a divine curse, so the energy I receive from you would be like the equivalent of two gods with a soul curse."  

"Wow, I really had no idea it was that bad."  

"Basically, I could live a comfortable life living of your misfortune alone."  

"I'm glad I could feed you." I roll my eyes and cross my arms.  

"Ha, yes thank you. But I am more surprised you managed to find that house. I am really looking forward to what you learn there."  

Before I can respond she stands up and walks over to me.  

"Well, it's almost time for you to wake up. Please stop by again soon, I'll have snacks ready next time."  

I open my eyes and I am laying in my new bed. I can't quite describe it but the feeling of waking up in my own home now brings some tears to my eyes. I did it, I finally have a place to call home.   

I perform my morning chores of finding some food for breakfast and gathering any other food I can to store in my kitchen. After I finish with that, I decide it is time to investigate some of the books. After looking through the books I found out that a lot of them are books of magic theory and whatnot. I sort through them as best I can, making different piles of what I believe might be beginner, intermediate, and advanced books. After another hour or so I find a couple that could be a start for me and decided to start reading trying to understand what I am reading and level up my language skill.  

I go and get dinner ready and sit back down to study. From what I can gather, in order to use mana, one must first build their soul palace. A soul palace is a sort of inner dimension, that is different for everyone, that allows the flow and storing of mana in the body. So that is my first goal there, is building my soul palace. To do so I need to meditate by honing all my senses into my body and feel myself. It sounds kind of confusing but at the same time I kind of get it.  

I spend the rest of the day practicing this trying to understand how it works. With nothing happening, I open my eyes and find it is already dark out. With nothing else better to do, I turn in for the night. 
 
This becomes my daily routine for three weeks. Mornings are dedicated to chores and finding food. Afternoons I dedicate myself to meditating trying to build my soul palace. At the end of the third week, I finally have my breakthrough. I was meditating like usual, all my senses focused on me.  

So, I need to feel myself. How do I do that? I begin by trying to hear all my internal organs, to feel them, to see them, but that doesn't work. Wait what is considered myself? I ponder this question then an epiphany hits me, what id myself is both of my selves. As I think this a familiar voice rings out.  

"Good job on getting here yourself."  

I am standing inside of a prison cell and in front of me is Allynna.  

"So, you ready to take me up on my offer?" 
 
I think for a moment before I answer.  

"You want to get revenge even if it means we die trying to do it?"  

"Dying is inconsequential. The hate that burns in me must be released. Those that wrong us must be punished, simple."  

"Ha! I must be crazy now for even considering it. So, if I accept and we die, you better not have any regrets."  

"Won't die. We will be stronger. We must get stronger. You have that game system, use it and get revenge."  

You know she is right. I am weak right now but I can get stronger. This might actually work. 
 
"Look I can't promise you anything about getting revenge on the demi-god but everyone's I can do."  

"Doesn't matter. As long as you try."  

So that what the issue was. My old self was simply running away from my problems hoping they would disappear while the current me wanted to take action.  

"Ok, I won't run away no more. I'll get stronger and find a way to get revenge."  

"Good."  

She walks towards me and the entire cell is engulfed in flames. I am being burned alive and the pain is almost unbearable but my hatred carries me through eventually numbing me to the pain. Next thing I know I am in the bedroom of my old apartment. My bed on one side, the computer desk, and the PC on the other. I have my usual gaming posters up. My shelves that held my figurines are mostly empty now there are two figures up. One is a black shadowy figure and the other is of Teona clad in her beachwear laying on a towel.

So this must be my soul palace. A twisted grin spreads across my face.

My consciousness drifted in a space completely devoid of light.
In order to exploit the fact that Abaddon weakens after using his disintegration eyes to dust a fairly large target, I had placed my body in his way as a sacrificial target.
First, anchor my soul using the Immortal Projection Cultivation Technique with Space, Astral and Spirit quarks that I've thought of way back in the first chapter.
Then, swallowing a pill that was similar to the Rage pill I had seen back at the Sect Showcase Festival, I expanded my body to two hundred times its size, making sure to place myself in between the demon and the rest of the Sect.
Just for experimentation purposes, I covered myself with a layer of Divine Light Armour. It should be able to negate most types of attacks but I don't really expect such a thing to hold up against this demon's unique skill.
The armour covered my entire body, radiating a visible layer of light that surrounded me.
As soon as Abaddon's eyes opened, I felt the full brunt of the skill hit me.
As expected, the armour was useless against the skill. My body had already stiffened up and the glow from the armour had dimmed away upon first contact.
My body slowly disintegrated into dust, a surprisingly painless process I had to admit.
Once my body fully disintegrated, I found myself waking up within a dark space, my body completely unscathed albeit in an ethereal state that was glowing with a bluish hue. A single translucent line sprouted out from my chest, linking me towards something in the far distance which I surmised to be my anchor to the living.
It was a rather bizarre feeling, but since this felt identical to the time when I had first been killed, it kind of proves my initial hypothesis on the soul side of things. 
Self-five.
Now, all I have to do is to use another Technique to regrow a new body to get out of here I suppose.
But before I carry out my plan, another spirit wandered up to me with the same ethereal hue. It had the look of an aged old man wearing the robes of a Sect Master of Heaven Sect.
"Hoh? Quite an unusual sight this is. You are a soul that still has his consciousness right?" The spirit asked me.
I raised an eyebrow at him, "Who are you then?"
That old spirit actually tutted at me, "Tsk, tsk. Young people these days... Do you even call yourself a disciple of Heaven Sect? Don't you know it is common courtesy to introduce yourself first to your seniors?"
Hmmm… This guy might be some powerful Practitioner in the past or maybe a malicious spirit seeking revenge on someone who wronged him? If it's the latter, I have to be careful in case he decides to try and possess me for that reason.

I cupped my hands together in greeting, "My apologies senior, I must still be disorientated after my body's death. I am Master Lin of Heaven Sect, well met."

The spirit stroked his beard, "Ah… To die at such a young age, what a shame. Well, at least you seem special enough to still retain your consciousness I suppose, though that might very well be a bad thing for you in a way."
"I'm sorry, I still don't know who you are, senior," I reminded him.
The spirit gasped, "You mean you don't even know who I am and yet you claim yourself to be a Master of Heaven Sect?"
"Should I?"
The spirit scoffed, "I am the founder of Heaven Sect himself! Shang Di!"
Kind of explains your arrogant attitude I suppose, but who am I to judge?
"Ok… And?"
The old spirit looked at me as though I had grown a second head, "And? And?! Aren't you going to pay respects to me?"
Pay respects? To a dead spirit? Oh, I guess must be a thing spirits do. Well, they do say when in Jin city, do as the Jin people do.
I cupped my hands together once more, "My condolences to you, Shang Di."
He frowned at me, "What are you even talking about? First you lie about being a Master and then you can't even pay your founder the respect he deserves? Are you perhaps a new disciple?"
I tilted my head at him, confusion clear on my face, "I did not lie about me being a Master though?"
"Ahahaha! A little twenty year old brat like you who's still wet behind the ears couldn't possibly be a Master! Even a heaven sent genius wouldn't reach there at such a young age! If you want to lie, young one, perhaps saying you are an Inner Core disciple would be a little bit more believable!"
Ah, he's one of those people. I kind of feel sorry that our Sect has this kind of ancestor in that case.
He continued his ranting, "Also, since I  suspect you to be a newly inducted disciple, you should always pay respects to your betters! Do you not greet your teachers in the Sect at all?"
Honestly? Not really.
I mean, I was given the green light for self study before I was even fully familiar with everyone in my class after all. But something tells me if I had told him that, he wouldn't believe me anyway.
Anyway, I'm not going to spend the time and effort to try and convince someone about this when I'm probably only going to meet them once anyway.
I guess I'll just go along with it to make him leave me alone, then I'll just form my new body and be out of here.
With the entire Heaven Sect and all the other visitors for the New Year festival to back my disciples up in subduing the demon, he shouldn't really pose a problem in his weakened state. Those two Dark Sect members shouldn't be able to stand up against so many experts as well so the situation should be resolved.
I doubt Masters Leizhui and Taoyan would be able to handle that many enemies by themselves so I'm expecting to return without any issues.
Sighing to myself to get this done as soon as possible, I cupped my fist for the third time, "Disciple Lin of Heaven Sect greets Founder Shang Di."
"Umu, umu. Good, good. Since you show potential, I shall accept you as my personal servant in this Spirit Realm. Feel honored! Your first task shall be to--"
I held up a palm to stop him from continuing, "Apologies founder Shang Di, but I have no intentions of staying here. I have people I need to return to."
"Hahaha! Don't we all? If the spirits of the dead can just return however they liked, the whole world will be thrown into chaos! If you haven't realised yet young one, you are dead."
I shook my head, "I sent my spirit here voluntarily, so technically I'm not dead."
He sighed, "Such a stubborn boy. You should start learning the hierarchy of this place if you don't wish to suffer eternal torment."
This guy is really annoying…
"Come," He gestured to me. "Since you're going to be my servant, I shall teach you some godly Cultivation Techniques! Don't say that I'm not good to you!"
He passed several books to me that had appeared out of thin air.
I glanced at the titles of the books.
"Profound Killing Lightning, Phoenix Sky Bolt, Spirit Bomb…"
"Yes, they're all very profound techniques," Shang Di nodded to himself.
"I er… I already know them though?" I informed him, these weren't even that good of Techniques.
"Hmph! How preposterous! I had only managed to gain these Techniques because of my good relations with the various other Sect Masters! Not anyone can learn them you know?!"
"Ok… Remind me how long you've been gone from the Sect? Because I don't recall our Sect being chummy enough with those Sects to freely exchange Techniques like that. For all I know, these might be outdated."
"Ungrateful brat! If you don't want them, then give them back to me!"
I made no move to stop him from swiping the books away from me.
"To think the only Heaven Sect member who managed to come here without losing their sense of self after so long is a brat like you, I fear for my Sect's future," He sighed dramatically. "Now, this doesn't change your situation, you should follow me to my place, I will teach you what you need to do as my servant."
I rolled my eyes at him, "I already told you Founder Shang Di, I am not staying here."
He  shook his head, "Young people… Really, really stubborn. Fine, I guess you leave me no choice but to beat some sense into yo--"
A loud crack of thunder interrupted him as a giant ball of fire exploded into existence behind me.
I turned just in time to see the giant form of Abaddon appear from within the flames.
Ah, it seems like they've successfully dealt with him.
"Ab… Abaddon of the Abyss?!" Shang Di yelled in fear.
He grabbed my wrist, "We must run! He's not someone we can deal with on our own!"
He tried to pull me away but I stood rooted to the spot, my eyes scanning the demon. I noticed a very thin, translucent line that was linking his chest to somewhere else in the distance, a line very similar to what I have as well.
"He was killed, but I can still see a Soul Link that is stretching out from him…" I murmured. That Soul Link was proof that both of us were still anchored amongst the living and not truly dead, thus allowing us to return should we wish to as long as we had a body to possess.
"Ugh… Damn that dragon… I will repay that favour when I return, I swear on it," The demon cursed.
He noticed Shang Di trying and failing to pull me away, "Oh? What a nice find, I'm just in the mood to devour some souls."
"Hieeeee!" Shang Di screeched, collapsing on the floor in fear.
I, on the other hand, was calmly pondering over what had him anchored in the living world.
I smacked my palm with a fist "Ah… That elf girl of course. She's your anchor to the living isn't it?"
He growled at me, "So you were there? Those stupid mortals dare bind me to her! I will return and possess her after regaining my strength! Then the world will be mine to devour for putting me there!"
I shook my head, "Yep, can't have that. Sorry but I'm sending you back there and getting rid of you from possessing her, my disciples seem quite close to the elf after all."
"You arrogant little--"
I snapped my fingers, causing the entire area to rumble.
The dark area around us was lit up from above with a blinding orange light.
Both Abaddon and Shang Di looked up to see a huge meteorite twice of Abaddon's falling straight towards him.
Abaddon only had time to gape before he raised all four of his arms to catch it, barely stopping its descent with his inhuman strength.
The demon laughed, "Kuhahaha! You… You are definitely not normal! But if you think this is enough to get rid of me, you're in for a surprise!"
I nodded, "Mmm… that is quite impressive, but what are you going to do about the second one?"
A second meteor similar in size to the first crashed on top of him, instantly flattening the demon into paste. His form dispersed into light particles before travelling along the Soul Link out of the Spirit Realm.
Now that that was done, I should return back soon, I wasted enough time here already.
I snapped my fingers and my soul was pulled along my own Soul Link, my body having already formed a few moments ago in the living world.
Only when I disappeared from the Realm did I remember about the Shang Di I had left behind.
Shame I didn't managed to see his expression when I left.
Now I have a slight nudging feeling that it won't be the last time I will meet him.
It took a moment before I felt myself entering a solid body, all my senses returning all at once.
I jerked awake, finding myself resting on something soft.
In front of me were four pairs of eyes belonging to Lian Li, Eris, Cai Hong and Diao Chan.
A pair of arms were wrapped proactively around me alongside several fox tails that made up a bed of fluff for me to lie on. I guess Manami should be behind me then.
"Master/Papa!" All of them called out at the same time.
"Umu… I'm back," I reassured them.
I stretched out my hand to pat them, but…

Dyon stood there: frozen, thinking about what the book in his hands could mean. 
'Did the Elvin Kingdom have something to do with the destruction of the Celestial Deer Sect? Master's filtration of her memories wasn't exactly perfect…' Dyon thought, shuddering when he remembered all the animal sex, 'I can't be 100% certain that she meant to leave it out. She probably just blurred out everything Elvin as a broad stroke, or else why would she practically handicap me? The soul manifestation technique would be and is something incomparably important to me…'
All Dyon knew was that even if the Elvin Kingdom itself wasn't involved, something from it was. He concluded that in filtering out everything that had to do with the sect's destruction, the 25th White Mother had accidentally left out important things. She couldn't be blamed for this, whether it was giving up her essence blood, or transferring all of her memories, both greatly weakened her. This left her with a very short amount of time – a time that was even shorter considering she wanted to preserve some of her power to leave a bit of her soul in Dyon. Originally, that soul strand was meant to ensure that Dyon treated Little Black well, but it ended up being used to save Dyon. 
Because of the time and weakness, the 25th White Mother decided that it was better to make sure everything important was blocked rather than accidentally leaving something behind that would be too impactful for a currently weak Dyon. 
"there's no real point in harping on this… I would have been cautious regardless, but now, I'll have to intensify that. Who I can and can't trust is all a blur right now... it's best if I err on the side of distrust."
Dyon's goal for now wasn't to solve the mystery of the Celestial Deer Sect's destruction – he accepted that there was a reason his master didn't want him to know just yet. What he didn't know was that a large portion of the reason those memories were sealed was not so Dyon wouldn't see them, but so that no one else could see them…
Either way, Dyon settled on finding more about the current situation of the Elvin Kingdom. There was no reason for such a seemingly prosperous kingdom to have so many orphans who received no help from the government. Unfortunately for Dyon, government help was a strictly human world concept. But, what he was right about, was that it didn't make sense for a martial world government to not seek out outstanding talents within those orphans. Although Dyon had no way of knowing now, none of the orphans he made a home for ever had an opportunity to display their talents. Something that was completely out of the ordinary. 
In the end, Dyon decided to push all of these thoughts to the back of his head. He instead clutched the small and thin book, excited to see what his soul would manifest as. In fact, he thought he was about 90% certain of what it would be. 
While Dyon was reading through books on the technique, he learned about how your soul had innate constitutions to it. These innate constitutions meant some people were more inclined to certain wills and technique types and paths. This happened to be the first concrete explanation Dyon had for why he learned sword will so much faster than anything else. 
To him, since he had demon qilin and celestial deer essences, his speed at understanding those related wills should be the best. But, somehow, it only took him a week to reach the 7th level of sword will. If it wasn't for him purposefully slowing down his will depth increase in order to explore paths and begin creating his own style, he would have long since reached the peak of sword will and be an infinitesimally small distance away from an intent. But, as of now, Dyon was just waiting for the appropriate time to burst through to the 8th and 9th layers. He was fully aware that he could do so whenever he wanted, but that wasn't important to him. 
All this to say, Dyon was almost certain that the reason for his affinity with the sword was because of his soul. So, he was almost certain his soul manifestation would be in the form of a sword. Something that excited him to no end. 
'this way, I'll be able to use the sword much sooner,' Dyon looked at the regular sword on his back, sighing. He wanted nothing more than to use the jet-black sword, but, he knew it wouldn't be right to. 
Dyon began to flip through the book. It looked like the technique itself was meant to circulate a pseudo form of mind's eye, or aurora, to communicate with the soul. Dyon nodded as he read through this, it made sense. The entire point of his aurora was to not only store his aurora flame, but to communicate with his soul as a power fuel. It made sense to use the same sort of principle to manifest your soul. The reason it was called a pseudo aurora was because the technique barely required the aurora to be open to a single percent. Technically, not even half a percent was necessary. Only the initial beginning was necessary, which meant no external resources but your own self was necessary. 
For a person not like Dyon to open their aurora, they first had to make initial contact with their dormant aurora, opening it up slightly, before continuing to use treasures to increase its awakened percentage. At least half of the technique was about this awakening and communication process. Dyon flipped through it quickly, obviously not needing it since his aurora was fully awakened. 
Very quickly, Dyon reached the important sections. It described a meditation technique. According to the unique type technique, the method of communication between the aurora and the soul was different in any attempt to manifest the soul. While array alchemy used the soul as a power source, the unique type technique attempted to project the soul with the aurora as the power source, as counter-intuitive as that might sound. 
Although Dyon couldn't be sure, he assumed the differences in the method of awakening the dormant aurora was what might change a unique type technique into a singularity type. 
After memorizing the concept, Dyon decided that it was best to meditate on what it meant. Although the first portion of the technique was highly specific in directing the actions one should take, the second portion was more like an explained theory. Essentially, the differences in approaches someone might take was also part of what manifested each soul differently.
Time seemed to go by slowly as Dyon pondered on the right means of soul to aurora communication. Eventually, days had passed before Dyon decided he needed a change of scenery. After a dip in inner world's lake and a swap into new sweats and a white t, Dyon strapped the long iron sword to his back and flashed out of the inner world, immediately appearing in the 5th floor library once again.

"You're too arrogant."

To Dyon, it seemed as though these words were heard all the time.

However, how could these people possibly know of all his hard work? Of the fact that sleep was but a distant relative of his. How could they know that he never had a single moment to rest. 

And yet, despite their ignorance, they still said, "you're too arrogant..."

But where were those people when a five-year-old Dyon's eyes shone looking at a computer screen filled with code? Where were those people when an eight-year-old Dyon played his piano and plucked his guitar strings until his fingers bled... needing to vent his feelings about his lost mother without bothering his fatigued father? Where were those people when Dyon sat alone at ten-years-old… when his parents were gone, and the only thing left was a room filled with inventions and computers?

Dyon's arrogance wasn't borne of thin air. It was his hard work. It was his shield. And he wasn't willing to give it up...

Now alone, he left his home behind. 

He was no longer the boy genius who changed the human mortal realm. He was now nothing but a commoner, a bug noble families saw fit to step on. An insignificant existence. 

And yet, Dyon was still the same unchanging person. Standing tall, his eyes firm and his will indomitable.  

This so-called Martial World would come to understand the meaning behind his existence...

I pointed to the appraisal room. I picked up my book and stated reading again.

Old man's Gibson went in to the appraisal room first, coming out he looked disappointed.

"No I mean the actual books, I want to buy the original."

I was kind of surprised that there was some body that wanted the actual book, sure they can pass it around as they like and don't have to come here every time but without the orbs It's gone take them months to memorize just a couple of books.

"Hey you,"

I pointed at  one of the younger girls that this old man broth here.

She looked at me with the are you talking to me look in her eyes.

"Yes you, your now in charge of the store make sure every time some one enters that room they pay you 100 pounds. If they want to buy something else just make sure to put it on the list of sold goods and make sure they pay all prices are on the books."

She had brown blond hear, a pretty face and we'll developed body the perfect sales person. 

"Make sure every one pays."

Seeing her hesitate old man Gibson interfered. 

After hearing what the old man said she walked up to the counter.

"Yes sir, I'll make sure every one pays."

I noted at her and past her a ring, I pretended to take out of a drawer behind the counter.

Obviously I toke it out of my storage space but I don't want them to know that.

I put everything I sell in the store in that ring.

It's normal looking silver ring with with a small black stone and some ingrained on it.

It's a storage ring with more then 20 cubic meters incise of it on.

as she put on the ring she couldn't hide the shock in her eyes.

I didn't need to explain how to use it, it's such a simple tool a kid could use it.

"Let's talk upstairs." 

I said walking towards the stairs.

He didn't hesitate for a second before following me up.

I toke him and his bodyguards to my living room.  I sat down and pointed to the empty sofa opposite to me.

Once we were all seated I decided to start the conversation.

"Do you want something to drink?"

"No, we're good."

He liked very relaxed siting there like has doen it a thousand times before.

"Ok let's get right to business."

I don't like all that needles talking I want to hear a proposal and tell him whether I agree or not.

"First I would like to ask. Do you have any idea what those monsters are, we're they came from, will there be more. Just so that I can decide what to do next and what I need to by.

That's to be expected. Suddenly monsters appear all around the world then some mage obviously they are connected. 

"To put it real simple, the world reached a state of maturity causing as now sort of energy to develop it self, magic this email cause monsters, pure messes of magic energy to manifest them self's answer already existing creatures to evolve adapt to these changes."

This is all I could figure it out so fare but there are still some questions unanswered, why monsters and not some sort of spirit, why did the endless dungeon  appear and why was I the only one affected by its appearance?

Old Gibson had a look on his face like his world has just collapsed, it sort of did.

"So,  how long will this go one?"

"Normal you 4 to 6 years. But don't weary I made sure we have at least 10. don't get your hopes up they will become a lot stronger, right now they are just level 3 to 8 but later they can become level 70, 80 may maybe more. "

"Shit."

That was the only reaction I'm got out of him.

I told him the true because I hope to work together with them for at least a will.

"Now that you know, what do you want to buy?"

"I don't know, this is just to much of of a chock to be honest ."

"Let me propose something to you then. Let's make a sect, like those sects in western novels. we take in talented youths and train them."

I originally trow this idea away because I can't do this alone, without money, connections, political power..

But now I got a man siting in front of of me with all of that and he has just realized what kind of situation he's realy in.

"How do you plan to do that."

"The sort of sect I want to create has a basic 9 tier social system outer disciples, inner disciples, core disciples, true disciples, elder, grand elders, vice sect leader, sect leader and the ancestor. I can give you ten appraisal formations to scout talented disciples anyone with a rank C talent is automatically accepted as outer disciples to see with B as inner disciples... Elders are like the teacher's, they guide the kids in there training, grand elders act like a ceo of sorts, they will all have there own departments like sword arts, bows, production classes... to take care of. vice sect leaders are like your right and left hand man and you'll be the sect leader."

"And you'll be the ancestor I assume."

"Obviously but I'll also be the one to set up all the formations that are gone keep our sect safe and all the techniques your gone be teaching those kids, I'm the one to power level the people you want to put in charge so they are strong enough to uphold the rules, It's me how has to keep every one safe so you can focus on training the youngsters that our future is gone depend on."

"But then why do you need me? you could just make the sect your self right."

" Do you have any idea how old I am, I'm retired, the only reason I am here is to make sure humanity doesn't go extinct. I don't want the extra work but you want to survive. So I made this sect plan. Take it or leave it."

I realy hope he takes it, it would spare me much work.

"Ok how do you want to start."

"Haha, good. I'm gone buy a mountain from the government, that's were we're gone build the sect. make sure to clear a budgets for the construction of a small city."

I toke a blueprint out of my storage space and rode it out on the table.

It was just and simple three wall 4 district desire the outer wall is were the outer, inner and core disciples are gone live, train, study... 

The second wall is were the true disciples and elders live, it will also have the main library, mission hall, scroll hall, potion hall...

The last wall is were the great elder, vice sect leader and sect leader live. It's also were the most important treasure and books are stored.

As I explained all these things and answered some questions like:

Q:  you said that the sect is gone be build on a mountain in the blueprint it's a plain.
A: I will use magic to change the terrain, except the outer wall the rest will just be higher up the mountain like a wedding cake.

Q: what's the mission hall
A: it's were the disciples take mission like: kill this, get that...

After a hour of talking we went back down stairs.

I was traped in a dungeon for a while and now the world is being takeover by monsters.
