The land which was pouring with the blood of the Ancient Emperor was filled with the precinct of Ancient Trees. Without anyone noticing, the shadow of a man with a yellow robe and tassels that covered his face appeared. He stared at Sha Wujing quietly. Despite Sha Wujing being a legend and experiencing the Pilgrimage to the West, he still trembled with fear. The scepter in his hand turned into a real dragon accompanied with the sound of copper rings intertwining, and it isolated out a world with its own heaven and earth.
At this moment, the figure of the emperor suddenly stepped forward, and the glimmer which was shining from his eyes passed through the tassels.
Before Sha Wujing had the time to think, his Divine Sense became vague, and his body, together with the scepter, were inexplicably compressed. He turned into a thin layer of paper, as if he was an actualized drawing. The similar drawings were stacked, and there were projections of him from different universes, linked to each other just like a comic strip.
The comic strip was collapsing, and the figures of the paper men huddled together into a group of words before flashing toward the emperor who was old and mysterious. It finally fell into his palm and merged into a common book.
The cover of the book was written with its title consisting of azure-like gold characters:
"The biography of Sha Wujing!"
In just a few moments, a legendary mighty person had became a book which recorded the projection of his life!
The precinct of the ancient Fusang trees was really strange and shocking!
Suddenly, radiance emitted from the book. Without any wind, the pages moved on its own, flipping to the Spirited Mountain part. The words mysterious corpse were highlighted, floating above the book and blooming in infinite light. It shone directly onto the eyes of the emperor's figure.
The emperor with tassels covering his face raised his left hand to cover his eyes. He yelled in an illusory pain and stepped back in a rush, crashing and collapsing as if an imaginary bubble had been popped.
The book rolled to the ground and swelled under the shining of boundless light, and the words flew out and merged into figures of paper men. The paper men became bigger just like balloons being blown, until it finally displayed Sha Wujing and his countless reflected selves.
The reflected selves returned to their respective Myriad Worlds. Sha Wujing touched the pouch on his waist and said with appreciation,
"Thank goodness for mom's great foresight."
It was terrifying when he had to battle with this kind of strange enemy who couldn't be accurately evaluated by grades. Even if he cooperated with Zhang Deng, he might also turn into a book without the pre-guiding and long term preparation from his mother. Moreover, perhaps he would be passed to children, be read and told by them, and finally torn into pieces with no trace left behind.
His pale and colorless eyes looked at the top of the ancient Fusang tree which was where the emperor with tassels was standing a while ago. The mulberry leaves surrounded a fruit. In front the ancient Fusang tree, there were colors of red, green, black, and white making noises similar to that of boiling water. The Celestial Lamp Ambassador had a real battle with Shaoxuan and Xi'e. They no longer held back, causing the nearby void to collapse and the rules of heaven and earth to turn into chaos. The four elements plagued everything along with it, leading to a scene as if heaven and earth had experienced its first great damage.
The Last Ship was surrounded with the yellow scent, infiltrating with the water of Holy Virtue. It avoided the four elements while attempting to overcome the damage as it sailed toward the Celestial Lamp Ambassador amidst the aforementioned colors.
While Xi'e tried her best to control the Last Ship, Shaoxuan combined his direct knowledge and martial arts skills with the Tyrant's Invincible Blade. It shot out its strength and power, making the Wanderer Lamp flicker and the right hand of the Celestial Lamp Ambassador to be scorched and trembling slightly.
He was strong enough and had laid out the Ten Directions of the Wanderer's Azure World. When facing the Last Ship and the Tyrant's Invincible Blade, together with two legendary mighty people with a similar level, the Celestial Lamp Ambassador felt like he was unable to cope with them and he was being forced to come forward step by step.

"Passing through the mountains barefoot, without asking for help from deities or Buddha."

From the sanctum of the Shaolin Temple, Meng Qi's adventures and struggles through the Samsara begin as we follow his climb to claim the title of "the Unrivaled and the Invincible One"!


Li Du was astonished by the affection people had for the cute pets. Not only Ah Meow, but Crispy Noodles also joined in the effort of selling cookies.
Ah Meow was good at performing; Crispy Noodles was strong, so he played the role of the cart pusher.
With the help of the two furry kiddos, Li Du accompanied Victoria around the supermarket. They succeeded in drawing a lot of attention and sold many cookies.
Each of them was in charge of something; Victoria was in charge of choosing customers; Ah Meow took the role of the salesperson by acting adorable and going up to the potential customers to sell cookies; Crispy Noodles provided logistical support.

But her voice was so soft like a mosquito. Li Du couldn't hear it at all. He spoke louder to demonstrate: "Yell louder, like what I'm doing now!"
She nodded her head heavily and took a deep breath. "Sale! Sale! Sale!"
Li Du was speechless.
Not only was she a foodie, but also a natural airhead.
"Not like that. What are you yelling?" He did not know whether to laugh or to cry.

Ah Ow, in his arms, was even more intelligent than the other two animals. But, Ah Ow was too small, and he could not let her freely walk about. If someone stepped on her accidentally, she could die.
"You have such smart and adorable pets, you should not let them out in the open like this. Let's say you own a strip club and you have girls like Marilyn Monroe or Sophie Marceau in the club. Could you just let them appear in public like this?

The Orphanage Shina used to live in was very close to the southern exit of Ravena, and so they soon arrived in front of it.

The Orphanage was located nearby the commercial area where they were before. It was a lilac mansion on two floors, with a large beautiful garden with green grass and some flower beds. There they could see some Demi-Human children playing in the garden.

"Then, let's change the place and sit down and talk!"

Chen Shi took the car around the street and parked under a tea house, then the three went upstairs. The little monk only asked for a plain cup of tea. He faced the table, conducted the Buddhist ritual, and took out a small book from his pocket, which he pushed over.

It was a very old book. Lin Dongxue remembered that when she was in elementary school, she used something like this. It also had outdated cartoon patterns on it. The edges were severely worn and the paper had become yellow.

When they opened the book to take a look, there were several people drawn in it with a pencil like a poorly drawn comic strip. In the first picture, three people sat and chatted together. The perspective of the picture was very odd. There were two people with their backs to them, but the faces could still be seen.

In the second picture, a man was beating another man and a woman was holding the perpetrator's leg for mercy.

In the third picture, a man and a woman were in a room. The man seemed to be bullying the woman. Another man comes in with fury visible on his head.

In the fourth picture, Man A hits Man B's head with an unknown tool. Man A looked fierce, and a woman was kneeling on the ground with tears falling exaggeratedly from her eyes.

These pictures seem to have been drawn by children, but they had a creepy feeling to them and made Lin Dongxue shiver.

She looked up and asked, "Little Master, what is this?"

"These pictures show the process of a villain killing my father and robbing my mother. I was only five years old back then and I saw it all with my own eyes. This is what I drew later. I only remember these."

"What's your name and how old are you?" Chen Shi asked.

"My name is Chen Xuan and I'm 18 years old this year."

"Can you elaborate on this matter?"

"Okay. When I was a kid, I lived in Long'an City. My parents were very kind and loved each other. My mother's name was Yin Wen and she taught me Pinyin and literacy. She looked after me at home every day. My father's name was Chen Guang, an employee of Ruihua Factory. Every time he had a break, he'd take me out to catch dragonflies… Later on, my father got to know someone who discussed business opportunities with him. I don't remember it very well. Who would have expected this man to be a beast dressed in sheep's wool? He even... violated my mother. My father tried to reason with him but was hacked to death by knife. I still remember my father crying and shouting at me before he was killed… 'Chen Xuan, hide! Hurry up!' I fled outside and ran while crying, but I got lost. Later on, I was found by an abbot and became a small monk at the temple. The abbot was very nice and raised me. He taught me the principles of Buddhism and life. He told me that everything in the world has karma and not to be obsessed with revenge. I've spent over a decade in the temple. This year, the abbot passed away. I... I still can't let go of this thing in my heart. I thought of calling the police in the city and asking for an explanation for my parents!"

Chen Shi flipped through the book, and the "plot" was exactly the same as Chen Xuan said. He said, "Although we're going to investigate this case retrospectively, the evidence may no longer exist since it's been so long. It may be very difficult to solve this one."

"How much money do you need? I can go and raise it!"

"Police don't need money to investigate. I mean this case will be very difficult!"

"But my mother may be alive! She may have been dominated by the bad guy for over a decade!" The little monk suddenly became very agitated.

Chen Shi exchanged looks with Lin Dongxue. "Do you remember anything else?"

The little monk shook his head. "Not much. My memory is very blurred."

"It doesn't matter what we've just talked about. We have to go back and investigate."

"Okay!" The little monk put his hands together. "I know this is a bit difficult and forceful, but for the past ten years, this is something that I have thought about day and night. Please don't just try to appease me temporarily. I will recite prayers every day."

"Rest assured, we will definitely be mindful of this. Are you staying in the city? Do you have a place to live?"

"It's okay. I'm a monk. Eating and sleeping in odd places are a habit now. It doesn't matter."

"Then leave your contact details!"

The young monk took out his mobile phone and the two exchanged contact information before parting from each other. Chen Shi took the small book for investigating.

After leaving the tea house, Lin Dongxue asked, "How do we investigate this case? There's no clues!"

"Let's study it with Old Peng and your brother!"

"Psh, my brother will definitely say that it's foolish. We don't even have a body, so how can we investigate anything?"

The two rushed to the bureau and Lin Qiupu was still working overtime, writing a report on the computer. After hearing the two's story, he widened his eyes. "Foolish! We don't even have a body, so how can we investigate anything?"

Lin Dongxue smiled secretly and mouthed to Chen Shi, "I'm right!"

"I'm not asking you to file a case. I'm asking if you can let me borrow Lin Dongxue, Xu Xiaodong, and Old Peng so I can check it out first. If there are any leads, we can just file a case then!"

Lin Qiupu looked helpless. "As long as they themselves agree."

Lin Dongxue raised her hand. "Captain Lin, I want to try and follow up. This case looks quite challenging."

"This kind of old case without leads won't do much for you in terms of experience."

"If I haven't tried it before, how can I know if it'll do much for me or not?"

"Okay, I'll give you guys a week. Let it go if there's no progress after a week."

"Okay, brother!" Lin Dongxue agreed with excitement.

So I have had the worst day ever. I finally started to get along with my family, and someone shoots me in the back. I am immediately rushed to the hospital to get surgery, but by the time I get there, I had given up on my life. I just sit there lying on the gurney waiting for the bullet fragments to make their way to my heart. I am busy thinking about movies. I start to laugh at the fact that I am dying and all I can think about is the next Marvel movie to come out. As I am laughing I start to convulse as my heart is finally punctured by the bullet fragments. I am conscious for 5 excruciating minutes. During these minutes I think about my life, and who I wish I had helped. " I swear if I can survive this, I will live and help people. I will be there for those I care about. I will help those who can not help themselves. I WILL be someone who matters to them. I will not be someone who stands by. " I lose consciousness after I say these words to myself. When I wake up, I can see that I was surrounded by the people I care most about. I am filled with happiness to see them. I don't know what happened to them but they are crying. I get up to help them up and they just look at me and then I say let's go. We go home and I get to work. I live for 30 years after that day. I cure diseases, Help people who need it. I built homeless shelters. I end up with a large, loving family. We lived in a private mansion in upstate New York. I decide to buy the rights to both marvel and dc. In the end, I ended up with an amazing life and family. I became the head writer and publisher for both comics. I created new characters and flushed  out some old, yet good ones. I made a final event, kind of like crisis on infinite earths, but I called it crisis in infinite multiverses where the perspective speedsters had to vibrate at the exact same frequencies at the same time. As they did that both multiverses collided and changed the histories, so that all hero and villain backstories from both universes were represented. The universes merged. They made a lot of movies about what I did in the companies. I merged them and renamed the company The Marvelous Detective comics. There were a few differences. New York City was split in 2 and manhattan was renamed Gotham City and the rest of the city was called Metropolis. In this new world, they started from the beginning. The avengers never was formed. Shield didn't exist, and neither did Hydra. The storyline did start with tony getting kidnapped. I added a new character based off of my own younger self. I wrote my family into the continuity. I made it so that we were in almost every major event that has ever happened. I gave my character the first system in any comic ever. I called it the marvelous detective. Since I basically owned all entertainment at that time, which made my comics so much more popular. It helped comic book store owners out a lot. With the comic book stores more popular, more people got interested in the sciences. The influx of people into the sciences, many breakthroughs happened. Even geology was popular! All this happened in a matter of years! 15 to be exact. Then I happened to get sick like the day I was shot. There was a meteor shower that day. As my family and I went outside, I clapped twice. All power in a 100 mile radius was turned off. Thank god we don't live near any hospitals. We laid down on the blanket I set up and the meteor shower started. The meteors seemed to be larger than normal. One exploded over our shed. I started to pull my wife inside, and she pulled along the children. I pulled them into the underground safehouse that I had built so my parents could live with us and not annoy us with their personalities. They were initially surprised that we were there. I told them about the exploding meteors,and they immediately opened up the control panel. In the end they sat with the children until I made sure that it was safe for us to leave. My father kept pushing buttons until he found my hidden button. As we sat there I asked what he was doing, and he pushed the button. I ran to my children and grabbed them while my parents glared. I told them that he hit the teleport button. It did work, but with a price. It drained life forces, and  what survived got increased bodies.I explained that it was a prototype and it's issues.The issues are usually deadly.In lieu of the death, it causes mutations, portals, black holes, dismemberment, and suicidal thoughts. As I am tinkering a small black dot starts to form on top of the machine. I make my way to the dot and I hear a voice on the other side. I make my way to the dot and grab it. It immediately began to expand to encompass the whole house. I then heard the same voice say "Welcome to the Serve Your Self Theoretical Energy Manipulation powers. Your S.Y.S.T.E.M.

"This is not the life I wanted" sighed Jack. He always had dreams of grandeur as a kid. He first wanted to be a scientist whose discoveries would change the world. An inventor that would create time travel or even a writer whose books  people would die to read. However as reality would have it he ended up being a corporate slave. Sure, the job payed well, but something was always missing.

So when he saw a devil summoning ritual in the dusty corners of the city library, he didn't hesitate to try it out, this was his chance for greatness. 

'Finally, my time has come. Even if I have to sell my soul  will ask for infinite superpowers and will become the overlord of this puny planet - muahaaaaaa"

-evil cackles ensue-

Right in the middle of the pentagram was a potato with two horns and even a tail with an arrow at the end. It had two googly eyes and one big mouth with creepy teeth.

It looked as if it had just come out of a cheap cartoon show or comic strip.

"Ah! Enough! Enough!" Han Jie exclaimed painfully. She is not supposed to back down, but here she is, preparing to be her sister. 

It was all her father's fault, reminding her of all the inconvenience that she had caused ever since she started to work 'disgracefully'. As if being a comic artist is an illegal job. It's just like writing a novel, but it includes pictures in it, ok! 

For Han Jie, her father should be thankful that she is not qualified to be a porn director instead. 'Erase, erase. The idea does not sound that bad…' She started to think about it more while   her imagination started to run wild. 

In her mind there currently was plans  to run away, where to hide after it and so on.  Until her line of thought was suddenly stopped by the pain. 

"Ah! Please do it gently! Gently!" She exclaimed loudly. 

No one acknowledged her request and with another, 'Strip!' was heard, which is the sound of a waxing strip taken from her body. As it was just as painful as the previous one, Han Jie knew that her pleas are just being ignored.  

She is currently in a waxing salon, naked as two attendants are taking care of her. 

It's been a while since they last mimicked each other. So there are a lot that needs to be done — years of difference, like weight and body posture. 

But the mimicking will always start from the hair. Not just the color of the hair on top of their heads, but even body hairs! 

'Damn it, sister! Why do you need to wax even your arms and back?! This is the start of torture!' Han Jie thought to herself as she thinks a way to get her revenge.  

'Strip!' Another part of her body became flawless, at the same time another scream was heard from her. 

She knows that she is petty, yes, and in all honesty, it is not that painful afterwards. Yet, Han Jie wants everyone to feel annoyed by her very presence. 

It is like her silent declaration of, 'Since you all want me to stay here, then all of you will endure it with me!' 

"Hey! Hey! What are you doing?!" Han Jie suddenly shrieked in horror and immediately sat down, then used both of her hands to cover her lower half.  One of the attendants just placed wax on her most intimate body part! 

"Eh? Mam, you booked for a full-body session. This part is included…" One of the female attendants explained with a smile, but Han Jie can feel the annoyance radiating from them. 

'Intentional! This is intentional!' She accused inside her head. 

"No! No! No! No one touches my vagigi!" Han Jie refused indignantly like a hissing wild cat while looking at the attendants with a contempt.

 "But… But mam… The wax is already placed and it needs to be removed. Cutting that part will look bad when it grows…" One of the attendants explained almost begging. 

Han Jie somehow felt bad for the attendants as they are only doing their job, and they have a point. 

She bit her lower lip contemplating and compromised to have the attendant clean the part that already had the wax in exchange of making sure that it will be done very gently. 

It was wrong request from Han Jie as she is not aware that the more gently it is, the slower the process and the more painful it will be. 

Result? One attendant was kicked, and Han Jie still ends up with half waxed vagigi.

Another result? Her father is ranting angrily again! 

"Why did you became so violent and a bully?! Who taught you all of  these things?" Han Feng is fuming over the phone. 

"Father, it was an accident! Unintentional!" She replied while walking towards the hair salon with Jonah. Their next step on the list is to change her black hair to red, which is her sister's current hairstyle. 

It is just a good thing that they are inside a grand hotel that has all the things that she needs for the pre-marriage meeting that will happen in two days from now. So after all the torture that day, she does not need to go home and just sleep in one of the hotel rooms. 

Han Jie had tried to contact her sister multiple times, but there is no response. Most of her messages just mostly consist of worry. She can delay the wedding as long as it needs to be. 

However, Han Jie needs to know how her sister is. Very badly. 

"It was not an accident? You have your cousin chased by your dog! How can you be like this?! This is just unacceptable!" Her father angrily replied again. 

"That was also an accident! Junjun is just too thin that even Snout thought he was a walking bone…" She exclaimed as feeling guilty. Han Jie was upset that time and the one that had to bear her bad mood was Han Jun.  

Han Feng snorted from the other line, "Lies! Once your sister is found, I will see to it that you marry someone that your dog is afraid of!" 

She laughed nervously before speaking, "Father! Why are you so keen on making us marry? Are you chasing us away to cut the cost of  the consumption of food? How could you?!" Han Jie treated her father's statement as a joke. It will be a joke forever! She does not want to marry an arranged marriage! 

Han Jie eventually relaxed after realizing something. There is no rich and famous family that will welcome a bride, who has a professional like her with open arms. 

"Bad child!" Han Feng exclaimed exasperated. 

"Yes, yes. Relax now, father, you are already old. Why not date someone? You're already so grumpy! You probably need to lose some steam." Han Jie teased with a bright smile on her face. Just as she was supposed to hang up on her father with triumphant glee, she saw someone walking towards another restaurant not far from them. 

He is currently in full office attire, black business suit. His tall figure towers over the men that he is with, showing his authority. 

Han Jie stood there dumbfounded while looking at the place where he passed with his entourage. He is not there anymore, but she still feels like floating and did not even acknowledge whatever Han Feng is saying from the phone. 

"Master Shu…" Han Jie whispered softly.

However, when her twin sister run away from her marriage agreement, Han Jie needs to give up her peaceful life to go back to the city to replace her sister temporarily even if it is against her will. 

And then when she learned who her sister's fiance is, Han Jie is not sure if it is a dream come true or not, since he is the main character of her most famous work! 

Will she be punished if her temporary fiance learned about it? 

Or will he fall for her instead?

"Oy! Get in and scrub my back!" He shouted, calling out from the bathroom. 

Silently cursing him for their current situation, Han Jie does not have a choice but oblige with the liege. 

So with shaky hands, she did what was told. Han Jie scrubbed his naked drool worthy back with excellent inks while resisting the temptation to look lower.

 "Ah, sir, can I go out now?" Han Jie asked eventually. She needs to leave before she ends up licking his back subconsciously. 

"Go out? You are not even done scrubbing the rest of my body! Do you want to go to jail instead? Who told you to use me without my permission?!"

"No one, sir! Forgive me! I will scrub... I will scrub..."  Han Jie cried without tears, blaming her luck for being wrong. 'Why did I choose this demon to be my reference character?! Why? Why? Why?!' 

Moments later, when he is satisfied, she finally got out of the bathroom, nose bleeding...

There was nothing worth hesitating about the Tanzan Town operation from the very start. 
All kinds of signs indicated that the claws of the Oblivion Association had indeed entered the town, and Gawain, who had long gained an understanding of this dark sect, did not let any naive thoughts of 'it hadn't spread to their side, so he could rest easy' grow. He knew the ideology of this dark sect — everything will die; regardless of whichever race and whatever thing, all would ultimately see the day of perishing. They believed that the undead were also 'alive' and that the undead too should die; even the death gods that the undead factions worshipped should die. The extremity of their ideas could even give the other heretical cults a good scare.
No one knew how the Druid sect that originally worshiped life and nature had split up and degenerated to form such a dark organization. However, there was no doubt about one thing. Once the Oblivion Association started to work, it would certainly cause inconceivable panic and deaths.
Tanzan Town was truly too close to the new Cecil territory. If those lunatics were really planning on creating an epidemic in the town and using Tanzan Town as a 'spell material' to conduct some evil rite, if there was even a little leeway, the new Cecil territory located downstream of the White River would become the second sacrifice.
However, the Cecil territory had yet to have the ability to directly dispatch a contingent of troops to Tanzan Town to solve the problem right now. — In fact, Gawain wasn't intending on doing so either. He brought Sir Philip and Amber as well as Pittman, who was more familiar with Druid spells, while the territory would be temporarily left to the attendance of Heidi and Rebecca. Although the territory had been expanded by a lot and they had added a large amount of population, a Grade 3 Mage and a Grade 3 fireball launcher, together with a hundred combat soldiers, were enough to control and protect the rear. Even if they really were to meet with an emergency situation, there was also the metal-ball alien that they could get help from.
Though Nicholas Egg's personality appeared to be a little cowardly, in reality, his combat ability was tiptop. As long as there were enough metals around, he could even perform Return of a Million Swords[1]. And if there was really no way out, he could also fly up and give the invaders a Descent of Justice[2]. Thus, Gawain was very at ease with regard to his home.
By the White River, Gawain's gang of four were each checking their personal belongings as well as the conditions of the horses. They were going to ride fast to Tanzan Town; this was slightly faster than going upstream by ship, and on the way, they could take cover themselves in the forest if they encountered any situation so as to avoid alerting the heretic cult believers.
Heidi saw them off by the riverbank. She appeared to be rather anxious and uneasy. "Ancestor, please make sure to stay safe. Heretic cult believers are strange and merciless in their conduct. You must not come to harm by their cunning plots."
Sir Philip who stood beside Gawain immediately patted his breastplate, full of substantive fighting spirit. "Please rest assured! I swear by a knight's honor to pledge my life to safeguard the Duke's safety!"
"Come on, it's not like you can beat me." Gawain glanced at this young man who let his hot-bloodedness get to his head at every occasion. "Moreover, a one-track minded personality like yours is the kind we fear the most when dealing with heretic cult believers. An honest man gets fooled most easily. Do you know that?"
Sir Philip thought for a moment. "Lord is right. I still have shortcomings. I still need more experience."
Gawain felt that this rascal didn't understand what he meant at all…
At this point, Heidi frowned and turned to look in the direction of the camp. "Say, why isn't Rebecca coming?"
Amber who was leaning against a horse and idly fiddling with her dagger lifted her head upon hearing her. "She said she prepared something for us and told us to wait. But if we continue to wait, I fear the heretic cult believers will have already settled down in Tanzan Town." 
There was strong resentment in her tone, but her main resentment was still due to being dragged to fight the heretic cult believers head-on. This made the Miss Half-Elf who was always cowardly and full of crap rather displeased.
Though Gawain had explained several times that the task of fighting them head-on was left for himself, Amber and the others only needed to provide support…
And not long after Amber's voice fell, Rebecca's voice happened to sound from afar. "Lord Ancestor! Lord Ancestor! I'm coming! I'm coming!"
Gawain looked over, following the voice, and saw a Grade 3 fireball launcher dashing over from the distance. Rebecca held her iron staff in one hand and gripped a bag that looked rather heavy in the other; her entire run on jerking and bouncing steps.
She ran like this at one go to Gawain and then stopped beside him, panting heavily. "Sor… Sorry… I made you wait for all this while…"
"If we continued to wait, that bunch of heretic cult believers would have given birth to children in Tanzan Town!" Amber glared with arms akimbo. "What exactly were you fussing with?" 
"I prepared something that might come in handy for all of you." Rebecca barely managed to catch her breath before opening the big bag in her hands and bringing the items out. "I originally planned on submitting them to Lord Ancestor as the results of an experiment, but I didn't expect something like this to occur. It just so happens that we need a field test…"
The bag was opened, and several curious gazes landed on the items that Rebecca brought out — they were uniformly sized, neat metal cases.
Made using the most common iron, their forms were extremely well-defined; the size of one was slightly bigger than a cigarette case in Gawain's impression. A protruding piece of metal could be seen on the side of the case, seeming to be an iron strip inserted inside the case, whereas there was a raised structure on the top of the case that looked like it could be pressed down.
Gawain seemed to be reminded of something, but he still didn't dare to be sure of it. "This is…"
"Didn't you tell me to think about how to delay detonations using the rune trigger?" Rebecca rattled on. "Actually, I'd already designed it, but the structure was very intricate. It wasn't easy to make, especially in large amounts. But now that there is help—"
Gawain realized what she wanted to say before she had finished. "Nicholas Egg helped to work on these?"
"Mm, mm, Egg Egg made them!" Rebecca nodded fervently. "I gave him the blueprints. He then made them all in a short while. If we had a little more time, he could have made a huge pile."
Blueprints… A huge pile…
Gawain looked at the metal object in his hand. It was so perfect, so structured. The orderly lines and level surfaces even carried the unique aesthetics of Earth's industrial products. It all went south after reports around the world of the disease spreading, politicians, children, and teachers, man and woman eating each other. I have created this bunker to save guard me from nuclear attacks, and food enough for 15 years, and now I am dying. I wish I live in the world of comic books, but it's impossible.


Now thinking back of what he's done and what he could have done, he dies peacefully.


    James wakes up in a plain white room, still thinking about what happened. "Am I dead?". In disbelief he shouted, "Hello? Is anyone there?"

"I am Gaia, the planet you call earth and what you would call mother nature. You are the last of my children and so I will use what remains of my life essence to full fill you 3 wishes and get you to wherever you what to go and reincarnate to save you, my last child."

    I have to think about this seriously. "Are there any tricks to the wishes?"

    "No. But you must hurry for I can only maintain you in this state for so long before draining myself."

    "I wish to live in a universe that is a mixture of the MCU, the Marvel 616 universe and the Marvel Ultimate universe."

    "It is done."

    "I wish to have the power to absorb other people's powers and memories by touching them without overloading my body and mind."

    "It is done, but hurry. Half of my power is drained and can only give you one more wish."

    "I wish to have regenerative powers as strong as Deadpool's."

    "My child, your powers will manifest at the age of two and so will your memory of this life to avoid suspicion of your powers and intelligence."

    "Well, I guess th-"

    "Now off you go my child, before my essence is fully drained!"

    After Gaia's death, the earth blew up into a supernova, years later, birthing a new planet from the ashes of the old one.
