This book will contain sayings and learnings that I have encountered and learned throughout the years.

This is just me writing down what is on my head.

Upon finding out that Vladimir was sashaying out of the shop, Zhang Zian broke down inside. The f*ck… You can do it this way too?
He just saw it squatting down at the stairs outside of the shop, and shook its front paw that it had used to punch to wall. "Hu… God d*mn, it's quite tough. No matter how tough it is, it is just a paper tiger!"
When the other elfins saw what happened, they were almost so shocked their jaws dropped!
"Ga ga! What's with this situation? Are my eyes messed up?" Richard raised its wings and rubbed its eyes.
This is not scientific! That light punch actually managed to pierce through the restriction set by the game?
"Master, your facial expression doesn't seem that good…" Li Kun noticed his expression and reminded him, "It's like you have eaten a few flies…"
"Don't bullsh*t! Right, these past few days when I was not here, did you both stir up trouble?" Zhang Zian asked.
"No, how could anything happen? We just went to play at the seaside a few times," Wang Qian and Li Kun solemnly promised. "We are all good citizens that follow the law before we are done training. We won't stir up trouble."
"Is this a stray cat? It looks like a British Shorthair, but it also doesn't really look like…" Wang Qian pointed at Vladimir.
"No, this is a cat I brought back from a friend's house in the capital. He didn't want to keep it anymore, so I took it," Zhang Zian blurted without thinking. "And also, it isn't a British Shorthair. It's probably a cross breed of Russian Blue.
The Russian Blue was quite rare in China, and the price was quite expensive. It would not be given to others normally, but if it was a cross breed of Russian Blue, then it was believable.
"Russian Blue… Ah, no wonder…" Wang Qian was angry. "I thought it was a stray cat."
"If you have nothing to do then quickly go and do you work." Zhang Zian waved his hand to chase them away.
Wang Qian and Li Kun stuck out their tongues, scattering in every direction. They asked in their hearts why it was that as soon as master came back, his mood was not good.
"Vladimir, you… you really managed to get out? How did you do it?" Zhang Zian squatted down, trying to touch the position where the invisible wall was. Of course, he could not feel anything.
"Haha, it's very simple! As long as there is a will in your heart and you have a metal fist, you can do it!" Vladimir said freely.
"A metal fist and whatever can be put aside. What kind of will do you have?" he continued to ask.
It thought about it and answered, "As long as you strongly believe that you are the truth, then that's enough!"
Zhang Zian seemed to understand it a bit. When normal people did things, they would more or less have a bit of doubt, feeling as though they couldn't do it. They thought that they couldn't manage to learn it, or felt as though they did not have the ability… but Vladimir was different. In its heart, it did not have any bit of doubt towards itself. It strongly believed that what it was doing was right. It strongly believed that its thought was the real truth. It strongly believed that it could do it.
And thus, it did it.
What kind of strong spirit was this?
The only problem was that he hoped that what it was doing and what it was thinking was right. Otherwise, that kind of strong spirit doing the wrong thing… It might even cause greater trouble than the Holy Cat Statue.
Old Time Tea walked over. It sighed and said, " Zian, no wonder it's the Warding Off Evil Cat. It can even pierce through that kind of imaginary air wall with its fist. Those evil spirits and ghosts would probably not be able to stand a chance…"
Zhang Zian nodded to agree. Old Time Tea had already talked about the main point. Before that, they were very scared of the Holy Cat Statue, a thing that was lying in between life and death. They were not even clear as to whether it was considered a living thing or not, much less how to deal with it… But the might from Vladimir's fist, even the air wall can be pierced through. If it hit the ordinary evil spirit or ghost, it might become powder…
He remembered that in Pi's Untitled book there was another Buddhist Hymn that was like a prediction: "The golden monkey makes a vigorous stick with his great stick and the sky is crystal clear for ten thousand miles. Today, we call for the Great-sage Sun, but only the evil cat reappears again!"
Although Great-Sage Sun was in a legend, it was quite a famous character that warded off evil spirits. There was nothing wrong, right?
The gold monkey had to be changed to a blue cat, and the Great-Sage Sun had to be changed to the Warding Off Evil Cat. That would be more suitable.
Thinking about it carefully, the punch of Vladimir was probably not a normal punch by physics. After all, both the punch speed and force were not very fast or strong. No matter how great it was, it could not go against the laws of Physics. So was it some kind of… belief attack?
If it were an attack based on physics, then Old Time Tea was still the best.
After interacting with Vladimir for such a short time, he found that sometimes it acted very old, but sometimes, it was very childish. For example, before it did its action, it yelled out the name of the move. The most unique point was that… it liked to use famous sayings from famous people.
"Vladimir, I have a suggestion: When you use famous sayings from famous people, can you also use Roosevelt, Churchill, and those kinds of famous people's sayings? It's just like when you are shearing sheep––you can't only stare at two or three sheep. What if you accidentally shear the sheep bald?" he suggested.
Vladimir stared at him strangely. It thought about it and said, "All right, I'll consider."
"Good morning, Mr. Store Manager."
"Good morning, Store Manager." Just as they were talking about it, Lu Yiyun and Jiang Feifei came into the shop one by one for work. As soon as they arrived, they saw Zhang Zian squatting at the doorway. Next to him, there was a blue cat squatting down.
"Good morning. How was it? Did you manage to whale watch?" Zhang Zian stood up and asked.
Jiang Feifei excitedly said, "We managed to see some! We went practically every day the last few days. In the end, we only managed to see whales one day, and they were a bit far. It seemed to be three minke whales. Thankfully we brought binoculars! The next time I have a chance to, I want to go again! I hope that next time, they will be closer. Also, Wang Qian and Li Kun are very bad at driving ships, and they especially like to show off their ability. They almost caused the boat to capsize multiple times!"
Zhang Zian knew that it was the mother and son minke whales, and also the male whale that was taking care of them. They probably thought that it was Zhang Zian who had come again, but they did not hear Sihwa's song from the underwater speaker, and hence were cautious and did not dare to go too near.
That was good. Being cautious of strangers was not bad. It was because the stray cats were not cautious of people that they were abused by them.
Jiang Feifei continuously praised and said, "Right, we went to watch the first screening of Dog Warrior. It was very good! The soundtrack is also very great! And the whole theater was full! A lot of people were so touched that they cried at the end! There are a lot of boys in our class that still want to come and see Famous!"
That was expected.
"This cat…" Lu Yiyun also noticed Vladimir. Zhang Zian repeated what he had said earlier again.
Lu Yiyun just nodded, then both her and Jiang Feifei went off to do their individual work.
"Brother Store Manager, good morning!" A clear child voice rang out from behind, and Zhang Zian turned around to look. Little Celery was skipping in.
Vladimir also noticed the active and cute Little Celery. It praised, "This child is really full of energy, like the sun at eight or nine o'clock in the morning!"

"So you're saying Jungkook risk his career just to be with you?" Seokmin asked. You and the 1997,1998 and 1999 people were in the car going to school.

"Yep" you nodded.

His company didn't allow him to be with you. Your company did allow you to date but the thing is, you have to date that person more than a year. Jungkook refused on giving you up so he said if they don't let him date you, then he'll quit BTS. Since his band is getting every popular, they allowed him to date you with some rules.

"Why would he want to risk his career over someone stupid like you" Seungkwan said.

"I don't know either" you said.

Once you arrive to the school, you saw Kangjoon. You waved at him and he did the same. You were going to run up to him but Jungkook appeared.

"Morning Jagiya" he smiles.

"Morning Jungkookie" You kisses him on the cheek.

"I have to go see someone right now, so I'll see you inside. I love you" you kissed him goodbye before running to Kangjoon.

"Hey" You said.

"Hey. You and Jungkook are a thing now?" He asked.

"Yeah" you smiled.

"He better treat my best friend right" 

"He does" you smiled.

"So How are things with Ezra?"

"I gave up on her" he said.

"Really?!?" You asked shock.

"Yep. I don't need a girl now that I have my best friend back" he hugs you.

"Wait. Is it okay if we see each other? Wouldn't Jungkook be angry?" He asked pushing you away. You laughed.

"Ani. He knows about you. I told him that you're just a friend nothing more" you said.

"Good because he's really strong and I don't want to die yet"

"You won't!" You smiled.

You and Jungkook were at the cafeteria, holding hands. He said he likes your warmth and you really likes his too. You then see Kangjoon alone eating lunch. 

You learned that he gets bullied for being left by his real parents. He gets bullied because they think he's a need for wearing glasses and reading books. 

"Jungkook, I'm going to sit with Kangjoon" you said.

"You don't wanna sit with me and my friends?"

"I do but Kangjoon looks lonely and he needs me"

"But I need you"

"I promise you, I'll sit with you tomorrow"

"Promise"

"Promise" you smiled.

"Alright, go sit with him" he said.

"Thank you. I love you" 

"Love you too" he said walking away towards his friends. You took a seat in front of Kangjoon, snatching his book away.

"No more books" you smiled.

"But it was getting good!" He complained.

"I don't care"

"Hey what happened to your glasses you used to wear?"

"I wear eye contacts now because you know, idol"

"Right...but you looked so cute in your glasses" 

"I know" you smiled.

"So are you gonna explain to me how you, (L/N) (Y/N) is dating Jeon Jungkook?"

"I am just wait. I haven't seen Ezra yet"

"She's the one who's walking up to your man" he said. You saw a girl walk up to Jungkook and took a seat on his laps. She wraps her arm around her neck. You saw her speaking but didn't hear.

"Are you okay?" Kangjoon asked.

"I'm fine" you said.

"Sure?" He asked.

"Yep" you nodded.

"Good because right now I need your help"

"With what?"

"A new adopted brother"

Kangjoon told you his parents adopted another boy around the age of 13. He said his name is Chawon. He hates Kangjoon for no reason. Kangjoon wants to get to know his new brother but Chawon doesn't. You feel bad for both of them. Kangjoon wants to get along but Chawon is scared.

"We'll make him love you, don't worry. He's not use to you yet"

"So I should wait?" 

"I think you should. Anyways I have to get going"

"We have another twenty minutes left though"

"I know. I need to see someone" you lied and left. You headed towards the rooftop where no one is basically allowed there. You felt the wind blowing your hair. You closed your eyes taking deep breaths.

I haven't visited my family or (B/F/N) for a long time. I should go to visit them but they're all the way in Busan. Maybe thanksgiving I should go. I'm sorry Wonwoo and Hoshi. I haven't visited you. With my new album out and the concerts I never had time to visit you guys. I'll today. After school. 

You probably know that I'm dating Jungkook. We have been together over two weeks now. He's an amazing boyfriend. You guys would have probably love him like the other do. I wish you were still here with me. 

I promise to stay strong and continue on singing and dance. For the two of you because I love you guys.

A tear rolled down your cheek as you remember the good times you had with them. Then you felt something warm on your neck. You felt shivers and turned around.

"You scared me!" 

"You okay?" 

"I'm fine" you said.

"You sure?" Jungkook cups your cheeks.

"I'm sure'' you smiled.

"Good because I don't wanna see my girl sad if she isn't sad of me leave her alone" he wipes your tears.

"Jungkookie?" 

"Yes?"

"Why did you choose me over your career?" 

"Because I have told you multiple times, I love you and only you. I don't care if I need to quit because I'll do anything to be with you"

"Ash, Jungkook stop saying things like that" you playfully pushed him.

"Like what?" Jungkook asked smiling

"Sayings sweet things to me. My heart already beats for you, no need to make me more in love with you"

"I need too just in case you leave me" he said.

"Aw, kookie I will never leave you" 

"Good because I only want you" Jungkook pressed his lips against yours for a second until you pulled away.

"Are we really going to kiss now?" You asked.

"Yep it's been a long time since we had"

"That was like four days ago!"

"Still long" he smiled.

"You're luck that you're cute" 

"I know!" He kissed you again. He places his hands on her waist as you wrapped your arms around his neck. He pulls you closer, tilting your head to deepen the kiss.  Instead of licking your bottom lip, he bit it making you open your mouth. He slips his tongue in your mouth, playing with yours.

But you didn't know that when you and Jungkook were making out, Kangjoon saw the whole show.

"Hey Jungkook, you got you a fine girl"

"Hey went you're done with her, pass it on to me"

"So why is she sitting with that kid?"

"The nerd"

Why is she always with him? He's starting to get annoying. He should know she's mine. Why does she care about him more than me? I'm her boyfriend! She should only love me!

"Hey Jungkook Oppa!" He turned around to see an annoying girl who has a huge crush on him. She sits on his lap and wraps her arms around him.

"Why don't you break up with (Y/N)? I know it's not real and that your guys company said too. You can leave her and come to me" she whispered onto his ears.

"And if you can't....well she doesn't need to know"

Get this disgusting thing away from me! It's funny that she honestly thinks that I'm going leave my love for her. Come on, use your braincells...wait they're all gone. This girl thinks I'm gonna cheat on my future wife. Nope. I'm never going to leave her. If she likes it or not. She's forever mine.

"She doesn't need to know that you're a slut. I do agree with that. Can you please get off of me? I already have a girlfriend and she's amazing. I don't plan on ever leaving her especially like a girl like you" Jungkook said pushing her off. 


He sees (Y/N) leaving the cafeteria. He follows her out to the rooftop. He walks up to her, kissing her neck.

And my plan work. Kangjoon is behind those doors, watching me kissing his best friend. This should tell you that she's mine and you should stay away.

(Y/N) pulls her soft lips away from him.

"We're going to be late for class" she said.

"Then let's go before we're late" he takes her hand dragging her out of the rooftop.

Jungkook was walking with (Y/N). She said she wanted to see Wonwoo and Hoshi's grave and he didn't want to stop her from being sad. 

"(Y/N) hold my hand, we're crossing the road" he said as she takes his hand.

Gosh! She's making me fall in love with her more. Why is she so adorable!

"We're close!" She said dragging him to the graveyard. He chuckles as she sees her trying to drag him but can't since he's stronger.

"Kookie!" She said.

"Yes?" He smiles.

"Let's go" she tries to pull him.

"You're so adorable" he pinches her cheeks.

"Ow" she rubs her cheeks softly.

"Let's go" he takes her to the graveyard. The two reached at the grave of Wonwoo and Hoshi. He sees (Y/N) placing the flowers she bought for them down. She then starts praying.

"Hi Wonu and Hoshi! I missed you guys so much. How are you doing up there? Here in my world, everything is going fine. Your members miss you too. They're doing great like mine. Anyways, we released a new album and we're going to start touring in the US since a much of our fans are foreigners"

"I have this amazing cute boyfriend. His name is Jungkook. You probably know him because he's from BTS. He's the sweetest guy I know. You guys would have been best friends. He helps me when I need help. He's an amazing boyfriend and I'm happy that I'm dating him. I think you guys send him to me so I want to thank you for sending Jungkook to me"

Aw....my baby. Why are you so adorable? I just want to marry you and keep you in my pocket forever.


"Please continue on watching over me and everyone else. We love you guys so much and will never forget you" she said.

"Let's go get something to eat" Jungkook said.

"Okay!" She smiled.

Jungkook took (Y/N) to a restaurant. He was going to the bathroom and left (Y/N) alone. He went inside the stall and saw his carrot is woken up.

After he finished what he needed to do, he saw the waiter talking to his love. He saw the waiter winking at her and giving her a piece of paper and that had numbers. 

Jungkook got mad and his fist was ready to land on the waiter's face. The waiter left and Jungkook took a seat.

"Thank goodness, you're back. I felt uncomfortable. That guy was flirting with me and he even gave me his number. I didn't want it but still gave me it. I told him I'm taken but he still didn't care" she said.

"Well I'm here now. I won't let any guy steal you away from me" he took her hand. He looks at his love who is smiling at him. And only him.

Jungkook was waiting outside of the restaurant. He dropped (Y/N) home and decided to go back to the place and show the waiter a lesson he'll never forget. He wore all black and had a mask on.

"Alright! I'm going home!" The waiter said.

"See ya tomorrow" the waiter's friend said. The guy started walking and Jungkook followed behind. Once Jungkook saw no one around, he pushed the guy into the ally. He pinned the guy against the wall, choking him with a rag. Once the guy passed out, he left him on the ground and grabbed his car. He shoved the body in his trunk and headed off to his play room.

Lin Chu jumped at the sudden burst of light and pushed Yan Beicheng away. Yan Beicheng was unwilling to release her from his hold, but the lights being turned on meant that someone was coming down, so he could only reluctantly let Lin Chu go. He turned around and saw Aunt Chen standing awkwardly at the entrance to the living room.
"Haha." Aunt Chen chuckled dryly. "I was wide awake thinking about the old principal. I feared that I would be called over there sometime during the night, so I lay awake waiting. I didn't expect —"
Aunt Chen turned the lights off calmly. If the two of them had the mood to fondle and make out, then the old principal should be well.
"I'm relieved that the old principal is well. Go on, you two." Aunt Chen's voice rang out clearly in the dark.

The mood was ruined after Aunt Chen's interruption. The flames of passion from earlier had been all but extinguished.

"..." Lin Chu was momentarily speechless. "What if you mixed the cucumbers with white vinegar instead? I don't like the taste of white vinegar though, it's not as fragrant."
"Fine, then. Just eat whatever you please. If the kid's too dark, a few whitening creams will do the trick." Yan Beicheng said in resignation, "Thankfully, you're still eating fresh cucumbers - at least they're hydrating. What if you start eating those wrinkly pickled cucumbers instead? What will we do if the kid's face is full of wrinkles?"
Lin Chu, "..."
She kicked him. "Where did you hear all these superstitions?"
Yan Beicheng coughed dryly whilst looking a bit embarrassed. "You woke up late this morning, so I chatted with the old lady and Aunt Chen for a while. Both of them said so. They said that you shouldn't take too much soy sauce, or else the child will have dark skin, so I was thinking was that it's probably the same for vinegar, as it's quite dark in color too. They also said not to eat too many pickles lest your child's skin becomes wrinkly. I think these sayings have no scientific basis, too, but we still have to take precautions."
"But I want to eat pickled cucumbers now. The kind that's super sour." Lin Chu caressed her stomach whilst feeling dejected. Could she not eat anything at all during her pregnancy?
"Okay, I'll prepare them for you now." Yan Beicheng nodded before putting on his clothes and heading downstairs.
He was not sure how much Lin Chu could eat, so he washed two cucumbers; After all, better more than less. He peeled them, and then rummaged around for a pestle and mortar, plucked a few cloves of garlic, and tossed them inside to grind into a paste.
The sound of him grinding garlic was loud in the otherwise silent night.
Aunt Chen had not gone back to sleep, so she put on her coat and walked outside, following the source of light to the kitchen only to see Yan Beicheng squatting on the floor grinding away with gusto. The image was quite hard to process.
A tall man like him looked pathetic squatting on the floor. His slender, long fingers struggled to wrap themselves around the pestle.
Aunt Chen, "..."
"Young Master, what are you doing?" Aunt Chen asked.
Yan Beicheng, "..."
He looked up with red ears whilst still squatting on the floor. He had the feeling that his image would go down the drain after tonight.
"Lin Chu wanted pickled cucumbers." Yan Beicheng said. 
"Garlic might upset the stomach this late into the night. Just sprinkle a little salt and pour some vinegar on them. Otherwise, she might not have a good sleep." Aunt Chen reminded him.
Yan Beicheng agreed with her after some thought. Thus, he tossed the pestle aside.
"Leave it be. I'll handle it." Aunt Chen said after picking up the pestle. She considered saving the garlic paste and packing it away.
Even the old couple were yet to have tasted garlic paste personally ground by Yan Beicheng before.
She dismissed the idea after further thought. It would not taste good overnight, so she should discard it and wash the pestle.
"I'll do it." Aunt Chen said.
"No, Lin Chu wants my handiwork." Yan Beicheng refused her help. He had to carry it out if it was what Lin Chu wanted. There was no need to look for external assistance for something as menial as this. If he did, then the finished product would not be totally his own.
Preparing the dish was not even that difficult, anyway. Also, he would be happy if he saw her eat his own handiwork.
Yan Beicheng held the knife up as a confused expression spread across his face. After a long time, he turned to ask Aunt Chen, "Lin Chu said that the cucumbers only need to be smashed. How do I do that?"
Aunt Chen explained and acted out the motion whilst resisting the urge to laugh. "Use the back of the knife and smash it until the cucumbers are flat. After that, you only need to cut them into small pieces and you're done."
Yan Beicheng smashed the two cucumbers loudly. Then, he cut them, tossed them onto a plate, and sprinkled salt on them. He did not pour any vinegar on it and instead brought the entire bottle into the room so that Lin Chu could add the vinegar on her own. 
Lin Chu extended her hands with a grin as Yan Beicheng carried the things up. "Thanks, hubby."
She had felt bored when she was in bed alone, so she had turned on the TV and started to watch a random variety show. She did not know what was going on and had merely tuned in for the noise and laughter. 
After regaining some of her energy, she had intended to go down and see how Yan Beicheng was faring, but then overheard the conversation between him and Aunt Chen. It warmed her heart, as if she had just drunk an entire mug of warm cocoa.
Although Yan Beicheng was sometimes a rascal, he was very forward with his affection.
Yan Beicheng was very willing to get up at night to prepare a full course dinner if the right person asked it of him. This was just how happy he was to have Lin Chu beside him.
"I didn't pour any vinegar on them, in case you felt that it was too much or not enough. Pour however much you want." Yan Beicheng said while he opened a small folding table on the bed and set the plate on it.
Later, he watched Lin Chu fill half the plate with vinegar. He could almost taste the sourness just from looking at it.
Lin Chu finished the plate of cucumbers, and the two of them went to wash up and get ready for bed.
She got up to relieve herself in the middle of the night. She forgot that they lived in the old house now instead of the Ding City house, so she accidentally went in the wrong direction as she stumbled around, barely awake, with eyes half-open. There now stood a thick wall in the location where the washroom would have been in the Ding City home.
The room was dark in the night. Lin Chu's eyes were almost fully closed, and her eyelids were drooping down as if they were welded together and slathered with glue. There was a slit in her eyes, but it was only as big as the tip of a needle. She could only see a rough outline of her steps as she stumbled forward with nothing but her memory as a reference. 
Not long after, her head collided with the wall with a loud 'bang'.
Yan Beicheng was woken up when she had left his embrace but then went back to sleep as he knew that she was only going to the washroom. When he heard the sound, he immediately jerked awake and shot up like a bullet to her side. 
"What happened?" Yan Beicheng was completely overwhelmed by drowsiness. His eyes had not even opened yet. 
However, his nighttime visibility was much better than Lin Chu. He had not told Lin Chu this, because he did not think it important and so had dismissed it as trivial. As the heir of the Yan Family, his ability as the head of the family had emerged when he was young: night visibility. 
He did not know if this ability was useful or not. In any case, he had already developed the ability and had gotten used to it after years of having it, so he had neglected to see it as anything special and thus did not feel the need to inform Lin Chu about it.
Lin Chu held her forehead between her hands as the pain caused her eyes to well up with tears.
"I was so drowsy that I thought I was in Ding City. I followed my memory to the washroom and bumped into a wall." Lin Chu said whilst feeling miserable from pain.
She had only wanted to relieve herself, but now she was hurt from the bump.
Yan Beicheng's heart ached at the sight. He blew on her forehead and said, "Wake me up the next time you want to go to the washroom, and I'll lead the way for you. Don't cry. Or I can discuss with the old couple and change the layout of the room so that it is the same as our room in Ding City."
Lin Chu answered, "Mm, don't. We're not going to live here for long anyway. If we change it, we'll disturb the old couple. What happened to me today was an accident."
Yan Beicheng kneaded her forehead gently. "How do you feel now?"
"I feel much better. Go to sleep." Lin Chu said while pushing Yan Beicheng away.
After being forcibly woken up by her collision with the wall, she could now perceive her surroundings much better.
Yan Beicheng did not say anything as he held her and led the way to the washroom before turning on the lights for her. 
The sudden burst of light was almost painful since she had gotten used to the dark. She stood with her eyes half open for a while until she acquainted herself with her surroundings.
Then, she hurriedly blocked Yan Beicheng's way as she realized that he wanted to follow her in. "Go back to sleep this instant!"
After this, she closed the door on him. With no other alternative, he could only go back to sleep.
His eyes gleamed in the dark, more so than they did in the day.
The pain on Lin Chu's forehead slowly subsided as she washed her hands. The water was too cold at night, so after she finished washing her hands, her hands were so frigid that she could not stop rubbing her palms together. After coming out from the warm blankets for a brief instant, even her feet were cold. After momentarily shivering from the cold, she jogged back and dived inside the blankets. 
The warmth inside the blankets felt so comfortable that she sighed with content. Her body had not yet become completely warm yet when she was snatched and pulled into Yan Beicheng's embrace. His warm palms completely covered her freezing hands, and her back was pressed onto his warm chest as his legs interlaced with hers. She was warmed up in no time. 


When Lin Chu met the ridiculously rich and affluent Yan Beicheng, she did not expect him to act like an immature hooligan, shameless in every way whenever they bumped into each other. Yet, every encounter had him come to her rescue, from saving her from the humiliation of watching her ex-boyfriend marrying her adopted sister, to whisking her away from petty colleagues and lecherous clients.Whether this is true kindness remains to be seen, as he never forgets to take advantage of her whenever he can. Is there something between them or is he just having fun with her?

As there weren't any programs planned on their itinerary, it was a free and easy day for all of them.

"Where should we go today?" Xiao Yan asked curiously.

"I know! We can go to the nearby shopping mall, as there will be shuttle buses provided as well." 

"Sounds like a good idea." Si Ming nodded his head in approval.

The three of them then boarded the next shuttle bus towards the shopping mall.

Feng Jiu was pleased to know that she wouldn't bump into Dong Hua here, as she had enough of seeing him for the past few days.

They shopped and bought a lot of snacks. After awhile, they got tired and headed towards a cafe to get some drinks.

They ordered their drinks and sat down. Then Xiao Yan turned to the both of them and said, "Well, I heard that there is a rumour going on in the company."

"What is it?! Tell us!" Feng Jiu replied anxiously.

Si Ming then remained calm and said, "I'm usually not a gossiper, but there's no harm hearing it."

"Yeah sure, Si Ming. You're not a gossiper, neither am I." Feng Jiu smirked and replied sarcastically.

"Yeah yeah, we are not gossipers. We are just having a discussion about the affairs of Tai Chen Group." Si Ming chuckled and replied.

"Cut the act, both of you! Okay, so recently, everyone was spreading rumours about Ice Face being interested in a girl, and he was seen with her quite often."

Feng Jiu silently thought to herself, "This is old news, I already knew this. It's definitely Ji Heng."

Si Ming then gave a half-smile and replied, "Interesting. That Iceblock actually showed interest in a girl? I knew him back in school, and he had tons of suitors, but he was never interested in any of them. Everyone thought he was into guys at first. In the end, we all realized that he only loves himself!"

"I wonder who that girl is." Xiao Yan was totally clueless, and it didn't even cross his mind that it could have been Ji Heng.

"I guess we could only wait and see. They are just rumours anyway." Si Ming replied.

Then Xiao Yan excitedly replied, "How I wish that there will be rumours of Ji Heng and me."

Feng Jiu and Si Ming started laughing, and Feng Jiu replied, "Yeah, just stack your pillow higher and dream about it tonight."

*In some Chinese sayings, when someone jokes about stacking your pillow higher tonight, it means that you can only dream about it, and it's impossible to happen in real life."

After they finished shopping and had their early dinner, they headed back to the resort.

Xiao Yan and Si Ming wanted to go to the resort's bar to have more drinks, but Feng Jiu wasn't feeling up for it. Then she bid them goodbye and headed back to her room. 

Feng Jiu then started rolling around on the bed while browsing through her social media. Suddenly, she remembered that she still had some vouchers left, and she could use it to redeem entry to the hot springs. Feng Jiu then quickly started to pack the essentials items and headed out of her room.

After she arrived at the female-gender hot spring, she realized that it was already closed. However, the mixed-gender outdoor hot spring was still open and it will only close at 10 PM.

Feng Jiu reckons that the mixed-gender spring wouldn't be crowded since it was already 9 PM. Then she decided to check it out, and if there were too many guys at the spring, she would just head back to her room.

Then Feng Jiu walked over to the outdoor hot spring, but to her disappointment, it was closed as well. She angrily thought to herself, "Why does it have to close today of all days?!"

Then she decided to try her luck to sneak in, as they were left with only two days at the resort with a packed schedule on top of that.

Feng Jiu noticed that there wasn't anyone guarding the entrance, so she slowly walked towards the auto gantry entrance and tapped her voucher. To her surprise, it worked, and she could enter the hot spring. Then she quickly made her way in, before others caught her sneaking around.

She looked around the area trying to see if anyone was inside, before dipping into the hot spring.

"Omg, this place is beautiful! I guess sneaking in wasn't a bad idea after all, and I even have the whole place to myself!" Feng Jiu happily thought to herself.

She walked towards the corner end of the hot spring because she didn't want to be seen easily if someone came in to check.

Then she took off her clothes and accessories, wrapped herself up in a towel before dipping into the hot springs.

"Ahhhh! This feels like heaven. So glad that I decided to come here. I'm going to enjoy myself now." She thought out loud.

She started splashing around and blowing bubbles in the water. She loved the water, as long as her feet could touch the ground. Afterwards, she leaned back against a rock wall and closed her eyes.

Out of a sudden, Feng Jiu heard some light footsteps, and she immediately hid behind the rock wall. Then she slowly peeked at who was coming her way.

Feng Jiu got a huge shock when she noticed Dong Hua walking out the changing room, all showered and dressed.

"Dong... Dong Hua?! Why is he here?!" Feng Jiu nervously held her hands up to her mouth to prevent herself from making any noises. She hid behind the rock wall, hoping that Dong Hua wouldn't notice her.

But it was too late; Dong Hua had already heard Feng Jiu splashing around in the water. Then he slowly walked over to her side, stared at her from head to toe, and said calmly, "What are you doing here?"

Feng Jiu instantly felt embarrassed, and she stuttered, "Uhh... Uh.. Can't you see that I'm enjoying the hot spring? This is a public area anyway! And why are you here?!"

"Oh, I see. I reserved the whole place to myself, so there shouldn't be anyone here. That's why I came over to check, after hearing some splashing sounds."

"Uh.. Uh. The entrance wasn't closed, so I came in." Feng Jiu was afraid to get into trouble, so she didn't want Dong Hua to know that she sneaked in.

"Oh? I guess I have to inform the resort management about the security of the resort then. To prevent more cases like this where someone could just sneak into the hot spring, and peek at me."

Feng Jiu immediately blushed with embarrassment and tried to explain herself, "Peek?! Why would I want to peek at you?! As I said, I only came in because the entrance wasn't locked, and I wanted to enjoy the hot spring. You're done with it anyway, just continue your way out."

Then she continued to ramble on about how she was only there to dip in the hot spring, and she had no intention towards Dong Hua.

Dong Hua smirked because he enjoyed teasing Feng Jiu, but at the same time, he was also amused by how daring she was. She was the first person who dared to talk back to him, and she even told him to get lost. His eyes were fixed on Feng Jiu, and he didn't want to leave.

"I reserved this place so that people wouldn't walk in on me being half-naked. What if you came in while I was still dipping in the hot spring, and I was half-naked?"

"But... you're fully clothed!" Feng Jiu exclaimed.

Right at this moment, Feng Jiu realized that she was only draped in a towel. She instantly felt even more embarrassed and immediately hid behind the rock wall again.

"What are you staring at?!" Feng Jiu started splashing the water around her so that Dong Hua wouldn't be able to see her body, and then her towel came loose.

She instantly panicked and held on to her towel tightly, and then she swam as fast as she could to hide behind the rock wall.

But Dong Hua continued staring at Feng Jiu, with a blank expression on his face. Then she shouted to him, "Stop looking! Turn your whole body away immediately!"

Dong Hua slowly turned his back towards Feng Jiu, and he gave a half-smile.

Feng Jiu then slowly came out from hiding and crept towards the edge of the hot spring. She also kept her whole body under the water with only her head on top of the surface. She was worried that Dong Hua would turn around and look at her again.

She tried to reach out for her clothes, but she was unable to do so. Then Dong Hua noticed her trying to reach for her clothes, and he started to turn back so that he could help her with it.

"Wait!! What are you doing?! Turn back!" Feng Jiu immediately retracted into the water and demanded Dong Hua not to move.

"Don't you want your clothes?" He calmly replied.

"Yes, but I can get them myself!" Feng Jiu then tried reaching out for her clothes again.

Upon noticing that she was still having a hard time, he ignored her demands and picked up her clothes. Then he slowly walked backwards and passed the clothes back to Feng Jiu.

"Thanks." Feng Jiu replied coldly. She immediately covered herself with her clothes and started swimming towards the other end of the pool, which was nearer to the changing room.

"Hold on. You missed something." Dong Hua replied calmly.

Feng Jiu immediately turned her back and saw Dong Hua holding on to her bra, and he had a poker face on.

She was too embarrassed to say anything at this point. Then she closed her eyes, reached out her hand, and fished for her bra. The moment she got hold of her bra, she swam as fast as she could and got out of the pool. Then she ran straight into the changing room.

Feng Jiu's heart was beating so hard from the adrenaline rush, and she tried to calm herself down. She couldn't stop thinking about what just happened. Then she continued to wipe herself dry, using the towel provided by the resort and squeezed the water out from her wet clothes.

Afterwards, she tip-toed to the bathroom entrance, trying to see if Dong Hua left.

On the other side, Dong Hua noticed something on the floor, and it was a bracelet left behind by Feng Jiu. He swiftly picked it up and he put it into his pocket.

Then he decided to stop teasing Feng Jiu and leave the hot spring because he knew that she wouldn't step out of the changing room if he were still there.

Upon noticing Dong Hua leaving, Feng Jiu quickly changed back into her wet clothes. She tried to dry herself as much as possible before leaving the hot spring area to head back to her room.

Feng Jiu immediately hopped into the shower once she reached her room, and she also had a hot shower to prevent catching a cold. Then she lay on her bed, thinking about what had just happened.

"Ahhhh! Why do I keep doing such embarrassing things in front of Dong Hua? He even picked up my bra! What would he think of me now?!" She sighed. She then started rolling around the bed as she continued to think about it.

"Did he see my body?!" She suddenly thought to herself.

"I will be too embarrassed to face Dong Hua from now on!"

At the same time, Dong Hua was lying in bed and thinking about what had just happened too.

"Hmm... She looks so slim, so I totally didn't expect that she would have such curves. Her fair skin looks so smooth as well." Dong Hua smiled to himself.

"Wait. Why am I even thinking about that? I'm so dirty-minded! And why do I keep thinking of Feng Jiu recently?"

"I need to stop thinking about her."

Dong Hua was feeling conflicted because he had never felt this way about anyone before. He was a virgin, and he had no desires for anyone. But now, Dong Hua was starting to have dirty thoughts about Feng Jiu. But at the same time, he also felt something warm in his heart while he was thinking about her.

Dong Hua was having a hard time figuring out what was his true feelings towards Feng Jiu. This was also partly due to his childhood, as he shut everyone out of his life.

Dong Hua was an orphan, and he didn't know who his parents were. As far as he remembered, he was brought up in an orphanage. He was often bullied and outcasted by his peers, mainly because he didn't talk much.

Due to the bullying, he learned that he could only rely on himself, and he needed to be stronger. From then on, he became a distant and untrusting person.

Dong Hua remembered back to when he was 6 years old; he would sit alone during lunchtime, and watch other people having snacks prepared by their parents. He craved love so badly and wished that he also had that.

Even the caregivers in the orphanage often neglected him. There were times where he got bullied, but he was punished instead of the bullies. He would also often be seen with bruises, but nobody cared about him.

He began to learn martial arts so that he could protect himself. Over time, he realized that he could only strive to be the strongest so that the bullies would leave him alone.

By age 16, Dong Hua left the orphanage and survived on his own. He worked all kinds of jobs, from washing dishes to construction work. Dong Hua saved every penny and put himself through school. He was a genius, and he was also street smart. Being alone for all those years trained him to be independent.

Then at age 20, he started Tai Chen Group. Back then, he was the only employee, and he worked his way up slowly. He took on all kinds of projects, even the ones that people refused to take. He did everything he could, and his efforts eventually paid off.

Throughout all these years, all he knew about was work. He didn't let anyone come close to him, and nobody dared to go against him too.

Dong Hua truly believed that being distant and aloof was the only way to protect himself.

But deep down, he wanted to be loved too, and he still hoped to find someone who would love him unconditionally.

Once Dong Hua found that person, he would never let go of her.

This is a 'Modern Love Story' fanfiction based on Eternal Love of Dream drama series/Ten Miles Pillow Book Novel written by Tang Qi Gong Zi. The storyline would be similar to some parts of their novel but given with a modern twist.

Synopsis:


Dong Hua saved Feng Jiu's life when she met him for the first time. She was determined to repay his kindness. She gradually fell in love with Dong Hua, a person who is indifferent to everyone and everything and doesn't understand the meaning of love, in the process of repaying her gratitude. Feng Jiu loves Dong Hua but he doesn't know about her feelings and what she did for him. When Feng Jiu finally decided to move on, Dong Hua starts to notices her. He thought that she was interesting at first but he comes to realize that he has unknowingly fallen deeply in love with her.  


But was it too late? 


Flashback to Ancient times, Dong Hua Di Jun summoned the Elderly Fairy guarding the Stone of Destiny to inquire about his fate with Feng Jiu. The Elderly Fairy said that they have no fate. To go against fate, it will be a hard journey with hurdles and obstacles. However, the Elderly Fairy said that Destiny could change anytime. Dong Hua and Feng Jiu lived so many lifetimes without being able to be together. 


Will they finally be together this lifetime?

Dara, meanwhile, went beyond the ridge, where he discovered another structure that was in a satellite image. It was bigger than the rest. Maybe it was a stable or a warehouse? Since the building was separated from the main buildings at a certain distance.

The officer's daughter was one of the many victims that were killed by the princess. Although the princess was sentenced to death, the penalty had yet to be carried out. Knowing how much the Monster King actually cared for his sister, many things could still happen before the princess was truly dismembered. In order to minimize any potential trouble, the officer decided not to report the incident so that the Monster King had one less thing to worry about.
These armed men were loyal to the officer, so they would surely listen to his every command. A timid man fearfully asked, "Officer, if the intruder is really the creator of the universe, should we attack her when she shows up later?"

In fact, she was not expecting anyone from the enemy to actually be on her side, so this came as a surprise to her.

Gu Xijiu paid a few visits to different groups of soldiers in the same manner as she did before. Her surprise visits had caused great alarm. Some even thought it could be a paranormal encounter. Others thought that it was a warning sign from the creator of the universe.
The armed men had become anxious and doubtful. However, they were more worried about being punished by the Monster King if they did not do their job, so none of the officers reported the incident to the authority.
Certainly, many of them had their own thoughts about what they would do when the creator showed up. Some were simply not ready to bear the title of being the murderer of a divine being. Before they could be sure that the person was an imposter, they would choose to hold their weapons, or at most, act like they were fighting.
Gu Xijiu took less than an hour to terrorize the soldiers. Relieved, the false alarm had solved some of her major problems. With the recovery of her strength, it should be enough for her to take care of the Monster King alone. If the soldiers could stay out of the fight, she was confident that she would win.
With that out of the way, she then proceeded to the prison.

And as expected this time a little flame was in my palm and I felt euphoric at this little act.

"I did it! I fucking did it! I did damn magic HAHAHAHA!!!"

At this moment I felt so strong, I felt that nothing in this world was impossible for me, but I still felt my magic be syphoned so made magic stop fueling the flame in my palm while imagining the flame be extinguished and willed to it to happens and then my magic stopped to be syphoned and the flame simply died and disappeared.

"So it's like this that we do magic, at least it's like this I do elemental magic, time to try kido."

I will use exactly the same process for lauching a kido spell, this time I came in front of a dummy and aimed at it with my index, I diriged my magic towards my index and imagined it firing a blue lightning with a lot of will, and I shouted:

"Hado n°4 Byakurai!!!"

I felt my magic be syphoned at an alarming rate and a blue lightning fired from my index towards the dummy, it touched and pierced it like it was made from mere paper and continued towards the room's wall at lightning speed and finally crashed on it while making huge ripples from the wall defence enchantment almost breaking it. And then I felt very dizzy, my sight became darker and darker and finally I blacked out and crashed on the ground.
