Beth was nervous about her trip to Oklahoma City. She got up early and left. It was a three hour trip and she wanted to be there at 9am when they opened. 

It took only 30 minute of filling out more paper work and they gave her a certificate to teach in Oklahoma.

On her way back she spotted a toy store. She wanted to stop in and get Kayla a welcome gift. Beth walked all over the toy store. She wondered what little girls liked now a day.

She had hoped to have a little one of her own by now but Lance had said it was not a good time, wait till this or that happens. Then when it did he would add another condition to starting a family.

 Looking back she was glad he made her wait. Now she had no ties to Lance.

As she walked up and down the aisle she spotted the doll houses. She wondered if her old doll house was still in the attic. Her father made it for her when she was 6 and they placed it up there when she was 14. She had to make room for her teenage things. 

She picked out a nice family and some accessory.

No one was home when she got back. She went up to the attic. There were a lot of boxes. Many things she forgot she even had. In the corner behind her brothers fort was her old doll house. She carried it down to her father's work shop to clean it up. She decided that she needed some paint and stencils. So she headed for her father's hardware store.

She walked in and the little bell rang.
"Be right with you." a voice from behind the counter said then as her farther turned around. "Elizabeth I am so glad to see you. Things around her have changed as you can see." he said pointing around. To Beth everything seemed the same.

"Yes looks great." She laughed. "I came down to buy some stencil paint and stencils. Where are you keeping them now?"

"What kind of project are you doing?" He asked walking her over to the paint area.

She told him of her plans for the old doll house. He thought it was great and said he would help if she needed it. 

He told her about each change in the store. She listened to each story. Then she kissed him and said "See you at home later. I need to still drop off this paperwork to the school. I can't wait to start work"

"See you there. Elizabeth, I am proud of you" She missed his smile.

She stopped by the school and ran into her Mom, Kayla, and Jake. They enrolled Kayla in Kindergarten and then were taking her school shopping for cloths and supplies. They asked if she wanted to come and she said no she had things to do and would see them later at home.

She had to wait about 15 minutes to see Mr. Alexander. He had her contract all ready for her to sign. He made a few call and told her that the principal Mrs. Wallas would meet her tomorrow at 9am to show her the class room and go over the books and requirements for the year. She thanked him and went home.

No one was home; they were still out shopping, so she went into the workshop to start on the doll house. She had most of the base coats done and was working on one of the rooms when she felt someone watching her.

"Mary wants to know if you want to come to Mr. Cafe' with us for Dinner." Jake's voice scared her and she jumped.

"Don't do that" She messed up the little hearts she was painting in one of the rooms.

"Sorry, what are you doing?" He asked.

"It's my old doll house. I was fixing it up." She said. 
Jake walked over to her. "A little old to be playing with doll houses?" He said with a laugh.

"It's for Kayla. It was just going to waste in the attic." She turned to him and hit him the shoulder.

"Looks good but you shouldn't have. Your family spoils that girl." He Laughed.

"That what little girls are made for. What time is it?" She asked cleaning up her brushes.

"Five, Your Mom wants to eat out. Are you coming?"

"I have to eat and She knows I love the Hot hamburger at Mr. Cafe'" 

Beth and Jake walked back to the house.
Kayla waited for her dad and Beth to come in so they could go eat. She had a lot of fun with Beth yesterday. 

She prayed to god that she would be able to live with her farther and she would find a mother to love her. God made her first wish come true. Now she would pray hard for the other. 

She had never met anyone from a fairy tale and she wanted to live happily ever after. But she knew it may take more than just praying to get a new mom. She was only 6. What could she do? Who should she turn to? Then it hit her Ms Mary.  Ms Mary had always said she was like a granddaughter to her. She did not have any grandparents' they had died before she was born. So she decided to ask Ms Mary.

"Can I ask you something Ms Mary?" She smiled

"What is it child?" Mary smiled back.

"I have been praying to god but I think… I think I also need your help."

"Help with what?" Mary was puzzled.

"I want Ms. Beth to be my mommy. She is just what I always thought a mommy would be but I don't know what to do. My Sunday school teacher says to pray for help but she also says that the lord only helps when you help yourself. I don't understand that but I thought maybe you could help me too." 

Mary could see the mind working hard as Kayla explained god to her. Mary had to ask "What about your mom dear, she loves you very much."  Kayla sighed

 "Mommy loves me but she hated kids and told me she wished I was never  born. She told me I would be living with my Dad now and she would no longer be my Mom." Mary wanted to cry who could tell a child this. She had to help.

Mary smiled at her. Kayla was not the only one with this same thought of Beth and Jake together. If she still knew her daughter. It would be a fight to get these two together. 

She turned to Kayla, "I am not sure what ether of us could do but let me think on it and I will get back with you. I do think Beth would make a great mother for you too. I think it would make her and your farther happy." She winked at Kayla as Jake and Beth walked in.

After dinner Beth went back out to the work shop. Her Dad follows her out there.

"Need some help with that Honey?"

"Sure Dad, I did the base coat earlier. Now I am not sure how to decorate the rooms. Got any ideas?" She asked handing her dad the stencils.

"Let's see what you got here." He said.

"Dad?"

"Yes Elizabeth?"

"I am sorry" she said putting her hand on his arm.

"We don't need to talk about it, all of that is in the past, and that is where it belongs."

She really wanted to know what he knew but she knew not to push her Dad into talking about something he did not want to talk about. 

They worked side by side finishing up the doll house. She had missed this so much she wanted to cry.

With the house done she just wished that Kayla was still up but she could wait until tomorrow to give it to her. As she walked back to her room she noticed Jake's door open slightly she knocked softly.

"Yes?" he said. Jake was on the floor doing sit ups, all he had on was lounge pants. His chest was fit. Abs you would die for. She was stunned once again at the sight of him.

"Your light was on. Just wanted to tell you we finished the doll house and wanted to know if I could give it to Kayla in the morning?" She said as she stared at his flesh.

"Fine with me, she will love it." He stood up and moved toward her. She jumped back. 

"I'm not going to hurt you" he placed his hand in her hair and pulled out a piece of straw and handed it to her. Their hands touched and the both felt a fire burn their soles. She pulled back and thanked him and went to her room. 

While she showered all she could think about was washing his body while making passionate love to the man across the hall

This is a short story of A young woman life from the time she ran from home till he came back to find true love.  All characters are fictional.

Morgana try to grab the silencer gun with her other hand while she
continues pummeling Brandon's face but before she could reach it 
she heard the sound of footsteps outside the door then the door
was kicked open by someone from outside.
Morgana dived and roll to the open door of the bathroom as she 
took cover on the bathroom wall. She peek to see the situation
Outside the bathroom and saw that one of Brandon's men is helping
him up. One of the men saw her and started shooting at her hitting the
bathroom wall.
Seeing that it is no use using the silencer gun, she asked me system to
retrieve it while she opens up the system store and choose a Tommy gun.
The Thompson submachine gun that she chose is the system's new version
of the 1918 old model of Thompson gun invented by John T. Thompson. It
is much better than the older version.
Brandon and his men astounded upon seeing the silencer gun vanished into
thin air.
She lifted the Tommy gun in her shoulder as she crouches on the bathroom floor.
once the firing of the gun stopped she rolled on the bathroom floor holding the gun
on up and started shooting at the men while she lay on her back. The men were taken
 by surprise, three of them fell down with a bullet wound on their chests as the others
tried to run for cover while protecting Brandon.
Brandon: fucked!!! Stop hiding and get that man!!! Who gave him the courage to infiltrate
my territory??? Get him alive!!! I want to kill him with my own hands. He yelled as he ordered 
his men.
Morgana: huh!!! you want me to die in your hands??? Dream on!!! It will be you and your man
who will die in my hands later!!! Morgana yelled back seething in anger when she heard Brandon's
order to his men.
She opened the systems store again and took an Armalite from the system store. she held the Tommy gun in her right hand while the Armalite is on the other hand.
Brandon grab a gun from one of his men and started shooting at Morgana inside the bathroom
hitting nothing but the bathroom wall.
Morgana can't make a move, she was blocked from the outside, Brandon and his men were waiting
outside the bathroom to shoot her, once she gets out or even just peek at them.

I looked around at the hotel room, taking in the arrangement of furniture and furnishing of the room that screamed lust. The atmospheric pink ceiling lights shined down from the ceiling and into the room. It was arranged so that the brightest part of the room was the large, circular waterbed that sat in the center of the room and near the far wall of the hotel room similar to a spotlight, almost as if emphasizing to whomever that entered the sole purpose of the room, which was to indulge in the world of sexual desires.

There exist a small door to the left of the entrance that led to the bathroom. However, when I and Loriana walked further into the room and when Loriana asked me whether or not I wanted to shower first, I realized a huge problem in the design. Instead of a solid wall, it was see through glass that separated the bathroom from the main hotel room, meaning everything within the bathroom could be seen by whoever was outside. Now that is a huge problem.

"So...what now?" I asked, looking over at her with nervousness speeding up my heart rate.

"Hmm..." Loriana appeared to be in thought. "We still have to shower and change or else we might catch a cold. I didn't know that this will be here..."

"So what do we do?" I asked.

"We'll just have to use it as is," Loriana closed her eyes and proceeded to walk over to the waterbed to take a seat. She then took out her phone and began entertaining herself with it. "You can shower first."

"Okay..." I muttered as I gazed at her in order to make sure that she was, in fact, serious about the proposal. However, after I realized that she seemed to be fully engrossed by her phone at the moment, I sighed and complied.

I entered the bathroom and I peeked over at the glass and at Loriana who sat on the waterbed. I was extremely nervous and in addition to that, I felt uneasy about the situation. Although I did relieve myself from the fear of failing the mission Ralus had assigned me since we were already in the lover hotel, but the problem now is making it past the night and into the morning. I have a feeling that it will be a long evening since I wasn't sure if Loriana had taken what I suggested in the wrong way. I hope she didn't. Because then, things will become awkward for the two of us, and we might not be able to go back to our old relationship.

To distract myself, I decided that I would check out the bathroom. The ground was of a dark colored tile and the wall a light brown with a pattern. The lighting in the bathroom seemed quite normal, although being a bit dark, it still illuminated the large bathroom. The toilet appeared shiny and clean underneath the warm lighting provided by the ceiling light above, and then a short distance from that was a large bathtub. Next to that bathtub was a shower head with no barrier preventing the water from splashing elsewhere, which led to my conclusion that the bathroom must be designed with that in mind since the shower was on the far opposite wall of the bathroom that spanned the entire length of the hotel room.

I was baffled by how large the bathroom was. However, once I saw the pack of condoms neatly arranged on a small stand on the bathroom counter, I realized why it was that and blushed. This bathroom is this size because—well—people want to have sex in weird places. This probably is the same reason why the bathtub was so big as well. In fact, it was to the point that two people could lie comfortably within it.

I walked over to the shower first, checking out the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner offered. I realized that those bathing essentials listed were all available in their small, bottled containers. One thing I realized about those were that they were all odorless, meaning that others would not be able to know if you had used a lover hotel.

This...well...is quite considerate of the hotel. Odorless body wash and shampoo...so that no one will know. Quite useful for cheating men and women. Well...the hotel does not discriminate when it comes to business, which I respect.

Once I checked everything, I began proceeding to the next step of my shower process. I walked back to the bathroom counter and took off my hoodie. I neatly folded it and placed it on the small basket provided by the hotel. Then, I stripped myself of my T-shirt, and as I placed it in the basket, I peeked over at Loriana through the glass window, watching her. She seemed to be focused on her phone. However, she noticed me staring and looked up at me, smiling and waving towards me.

I blushed as I was once again reminded of the fact that she could see everything that I do inside the bathroom. Why the hell did they have to design it this way? Well...people do come here for sex, so seeing each other's bodies should not be a big problem...But don't they know that not seeing could often times make things even spicier, like a surprise reveal would've been better, wouldn't it?

I brought both hands to my jeans, reluctant to take them off. I stood there with a bare chest, just merely standing idle there. What I was about to do...well...let's just say I had never done so before in front of Loriana. In fact, Loriana had never seen me in my underwear. Now, things are awkward for me. Like what the heck am I supposed to do now? If I don't shower, then...well...things are gonna be hard to explain to her. What am I supposed to say? I don't want to shower because the wall is see through so you can go ahead? No. That's just absurd.

I took in a deep breath and began to strip myself of my jeans. Now, all that separated me from full nudity was my underwear, which is a pair of boxer briefs. In this sacred war between those who prefer briefs and those who prefer boxers, I survive by staying neutral.

Man, am I a genius. 

I smirked as I remained proud of the fact that I am not caught up in that war between those who prefer briefs and those who prefer boxers.

However, now is not the time for me to be proud in that trivial—nah it's not trivial. It's important—fact. I still have to shower. I looked over past the glass wall to make sure that she wasn't looking. However, like that time before, she noticed me staring and looked up. She appeared quite surprised at first since this is the first time she had seen me in my underwear, but she then merely smiled and looked at me.

What? Look at me?

Why is she crossing her legs before her and resting her chin on the hand whose elbow she supported with her thigh? Why is she not staring at her phone screen now? What is that smile on her face?

Our eyes met as I stared at her from the interior of the bathroom. For some reason, I felt like I was in a display case and was on display for Loriana. It was an odd feeling. One that made me quite uneasy as she continued to look at me. I gazed back at her, paralyzed and unable to move.

That is, until my phone rang. I realized that I had left my phone in the pocket of my jeans, so I walked back over to the basket where I had left my jeans and checked my phone. There was a message from Ralus.

Ralus: I swear that I had no part in this other than sending you that mission. All that I did was for you to spend a night with her in a lover hotel, and whatever happens really, really, really, really is not because of me.

I glanced up at Loriana with an uneasy facial expression and looked back down on my phone.

Me: Can you help me then?

Ralus: There's not much that I can do...You're on your own. Good luck.

I slowly placed my phone back down on the bathroom counter. Then, as I looked up to check on Loriana once again, I realized that she was now staring at her phone once again. However, I was still somewhat reluctant to strip myself of my underwear before starting to shower. I was afraid that she might look up and see me in full nude.

I took a deep breath and made up my mind. No matter how much I try to stall, it must be done. I need to do this anyway. Whatever. I have to do it.

With a quick and smooth motion, I stripped myself of my underwear, allowing myself to be in full nude. I turned my back towards Loriana in order to hide my reproductive organs and to eliminate my ability to check if she was staring or not. I quickly made my way over to the shower head and turned the water on by pressing the options on the smart board on the wall.

Warm water began splashing down and I closed my eyes so that I would be able to shower myself free of the knowledge that she might be staring at me. With my eyes closed, I cannot see. So if I can't see, then it must not have happened, I hope. Therefore, I started to rapidly clean my body.

I applied the shampoo to my hair, cleaning it. I massaged the fluid into my scalp, allowing the bubbles and foam to form on my head. Then, I allowed the hot water from the shower head to wash it away. Then, I applied the conditioner to my hair. Afterwards, I squeezed some body wash into my left hand and began applying it to various parts of my body. I rubbed the body wash onto my skin. Then, I also allowed the hot water to wash away the soapy bubbles formed.

This was one of the fastest showers I had ever taken. It probably lasted less than five minutes. Anyways, I immediately grabbed a towel, dried myself, and then grabbed a bathrobe and put it on.

Then, I immediately exited the bathroom with my belongings in hand, breathing heavily.

"Done already?" I heard Loriana ask in a teasing voice. "That was fast."

I looked over at her and discovered that she was smiling in a somewhat sly manner.

"You've really grown a lot, Alevian," she said with a teasing smile on her face.

I stared at her in a confused horror.

Excuse me???!!!

I'm just me. An ordinary high school boy with no girlfriend, not too many friends, and no talent.  What I enjoy doing after school is roaming around the halls, hoping that like in the cliche anime and manga, I'll bump into someone that'll change my life. Of course, nothing is going to happen. What do you expect? 

But, this APP on my phone is kind of weird. I don't remember installing it. If I click on it, it asks me to complete missions. But how the hell am I supposed to do these embarrassing tasks?

I will post new chapters usually once a day, but that is subjected to change depending on my schedule as I am a student in my final year of high school. During breaks, I will usually post multiple chapters per day.



A man was covered with a quilt, with his eyes closed. His eyebrows were twisted from time to time restlessly, and he was breathing fast.

Outside the balcony, the rain pitter-pattered on the window; lightning jumping in between the high-rise buildings; the noises created by thunder, from far to near, as if they cracked just right above people's head.

Under the cracking thunder, the man suddenly woke up. He was swallowing very hard to help his dry throat. In a flash of lightning, the touch of panic in his eyes quickly faded as his breathing pattern also slowly calmed down.

"That nightmare again..." Pressing the dry lips, the man reached out his hand to touch the white bedside cabinet, which had a cup of cold boiled water he poured last night.

"Crack!"

It was another thunderclap, rumbling above the roof.

The man's hand instinctively trembled and knocked over the cup by accident. The cup rolled to the edge of the bedside table and fell to the floor with a sharp crack. A cup of cold boiled water was spilled everywhere. The residual water flowed along with the edge of the table down to the floor, making quiet tapping noises.

"Shit!"

The man cursed irritably, lifted the quilt, found the slippers with help of the flash from the lightning outside. Moving against the wall, he walked out of the bedroom, crossed the living room and walked into the bathroom.

After feeling around for the switch on the bathroom wall, the man switched on the light. Then he switched on the tab, put his both hands closer, waited until the water filled his hands and quickly washed his face with the cold water. After rubbing his face with the cold water a few times, his rapid heartbeats gradually slowed down.

Raising his head, he looked at himself in the mirror and said, "Chu Yunsheng, the senior practitioner said, that Sky Track has not recovered. So don't panic, and don't scare yourself!"

He swallowed another mouthful of nonexistent saliva, filled a hand full of water and prepared to pour it on his face again. Just as he lowered his head, another lightning cracked opened in the sky, then the cornered of his eyes glimpsed a shadow suddenly flashed across the living room in the mirror.

"WHO IS IT?!"

Chu Yunsheng suddenly turned his head, with his both eyes nervously glancing around. His right hand quietly extended to the back of the bathroom door, grabbed the mop and quickly held it before his body.

The light of the living room was switched not on, so the light of the bathroom made his shadow seemed to be unusually long. It was looming with the lightning outside, seemingly ghastly and hair-raising.

And in every lightning, the living room wall, which he could see from the bathroom, was lit up. The shadows of the table and chairs, especially the fridge would also appear and disappear with the lighting, each time, its shape, and length would be different, and shaking in a strange pattern.

Chu Yunsheng took a deep breath, as his nerve was stretched to the limit. Tightly holding the mop while leaning on the wall, he carefully moved out of the bathroom. As soon as he walked out of the bathroom, he instantly lifted the mop and held it firmly before him.

"WHO IS IT!?"

There was no other sound apart from thunder.

Chu Yunsheng slowly moved to the left side to get near the light switch, while his eyes were still staring at all the dark rooms, including the bedroom he had just walked out as if there would be someone rushed out at any time.

His left hand groped around the wall, turned on the light, and then the living room was quickly lit up.

Nothing.

Chu Yunsheng heaved a sigh of relief and wondered if it was a hallucination.

At this moment, the sound of someone walking on the floor with slipper appeared from the upstairs, after a short while, the toilet above appeared a sound of someone flushing the toilet.

Chu Yunsheng's tense nerve finally became loose a little, and he also restored a little courage. With a mop as a weapon, he first checked the kitchen. After he came out of the kitchen, the mop was already changed to a kitchen knife. Then he began to check every room and every corner, including the wardrobe in the corner of the bedroom and the balcony.

Still nothing!

Chu Yunsheng laughed at himself. Since when did he become this timid? Why was he scared by some lightning?

The sense of security, which was brought by light, eased Chu Yunsheng's tense nerve even more. He returned to the bathroom with the kitchen knife and put it on the washbasin. After closing the tap, he subconsciously looked at the mirror again.

He stared at the bloody face in the mirror in horror. It was his own face! Both of his eyes in the mirror were full of scary hatred and despair. His body and his face were covered with red blood and big scars.

The kitchen knife fell to the floor, making a clatter of noises.

Chu Yunsheng instinctively looked at the kitchen knife on the ground, but quickly looked back at the mirror again. Strangely, this time, inside the mirror, it just displayed his terrified look, there was no blood and scars at all.

"It's okay! It's okay! It is just an Illusion, illusion... "

Chu Yunsheng's heart was still thumping rapidly. Pressing his chest, he was panting heavily, as he flurried out of the bathroom. This time, he did not dare to switch off the light anymore. He just hurriedly turned on the TV and the laptop.

He needed noises. He needed to calm down.

Perhaps he had been watching too many American movies recently.

Ya Nuo rushed out of the stock room after taking a picture of the supplies that she found in the box. Before she entered the restroom, she saw the cleaning lady from earlier walking out of the restroom with plastic gloves and a huge garbage bag.

Ya Nuo greeted here with a smile, "Hello, we meet again. Thank you for your help earlier."

The cleaning lady responded with a smile, "No problem. Did you find your engagement ring?"

Ya Nuo nodded, "Yes, it was all thanks to you."

Cleaning lady: "I'm glad all went well for you. You should clean your hands and hurry back. Your fiance might get worried if you are gone for too long. I just unclogged the two sinks so you can use it now."

Ya Nuo paused in her steps, "Sorry, the sinks were clogged?"

Cleaning lady: 'Yes, the sinks were fine when I was on cleaning duty this morning. I came earlier to check the bathroom because guests mentioned something about seeing a restroom closed sign. By rules, before any events take place, we need to clean every bathroom to make sure that guests are fully comfortable using the restrooms. This morning, everything was fine with the drains, and water was running perfectly fine. I checked the bathroom after I had opened the door for you earlier and I was shocked to see two clogged sinks. It was awful, so I cleaned it in the fastest pace."

Ya Nuo was about to ask more questions, but was interrupted by Huan Hei, "Nuo! That's where you were. I finished talking to Mr.Yang long ago and had been looking for you since then. Scared me when I couldn't find you. I texted and called you, but you didn't respond."

Ya Nuo laughed, "Silly, I'm alright. My legs were tired of wearing these heels for a long period of time, so I went to rest in that guest room. I already sanitized the scrapes. I didn't have signal so I didn't get your messages. I was about to go to wash my hands after touching something dirty, then go find you."

Huan Hei poked her forehead gently, "You! Go wash your hands, and I'll look at your feet before we head back to the party. Mr. Yang's companion, Gu Wing, is making a ruckus at the party. We need to head back to calm the crowd down."

Ya Nuo: "Okay, I'll be back. Oh right! Thank you for showing me where the bathroom was."She winked at the cleaning lady, and she responded with a sweet smile,"You're welcome. Congratulations to the two of you."

Ya Nuo swiftly rinsed and dried her hands in the bathroom. Thinking about what the cleaning lady had told her, she walked to the third sink, which was by the window and started looking for the tiniest bit of tape residue. She found double sided tape on the wall decorations and poster earlier, and some parts of the tape was scratched off. If Mei Ching did what Ya Nuo thought she did, then that means there should be some leftover sticky pieces of tape somewhere on the walls.

Her sharp eyes immediately spotted leftover sticky material on the wall. After touching it using her finger, she briefly understood what Mei Ching did. 

She rinsed her hands and dried it again while deducing what Mei Ching had done in the bathroom, 'First, she snuck into the stock room or had somebody help her put the supplies inside the stock room. When nobody paid attention to her, she separated from the party and used the strings to attach the handprints and poster to it. After that, she placed the string along with the connected poster and wall decorations on the space between the windows. After that, she tied the strings to the window, so none of the materials would be blown away or off. She let it sit there while she waited for another timing to go and set everything up in the bathroom. When she went to the bathroom at another time, which was when I followed her, she was there to set up the whole thing. She taped the white handprint decorations on the wall so that it blended with the wall color. As for the poster, it was taped to the third mirror. The two sinks were somehow clogged so that Gu Wing would use the third sink, which was by the window.'

"But there is still one question that isn't solved yet. How... did these end up scaring Gu Wing? If they were transparent to begin with and didn't show up, just how? These are only my assumptions, though...I need to head out, or he will get worried about me."

The minute she got out of the bathroom, she felt her legs leaving the floor and body float in air. 
"Wah!" her arms circled around the closest person, Huan Hei.

He wanted to carry her when he saw the broken sore skin on her ankle and front toes earlier, but resisted the urge to because the cleaning lady was there. Now that they were alone, she has no chance in walking anymore with those heels on. She pinched his cheeks, "Hey! This is cheating. Put me down. People will see us like this."

He heard her complaints loud and clear, but ignored it. He made her open the door to the guest room so that he could check her feet to make sure it was alright. His response to her objections was straight to the point and simple, "We're an engaged couple."

She mumbled, "Yeah, yeah. Now that you are my fiance, you could do whatever you want with me and forget about my wishes. Right, right. There is no more 'I'll listen to you' things from now on. Once a fiance, always a husband."

He was listening to her words attentively even though he was occupied with the scratches on her feet, "I could hear you, honey. If you have more protests, I'll gladly carry you everywhere in front of our guests. Since we are engaged, what's wrong with me doting on you right? I'll have you in my embrace even when I have to talk on stage later. Any more objections?"

She closed her lips together instantly and let him observe her mini cuts in peace. She knew his heart was aching so she purposely said the childish words to tease him. He could joke about anything, but her. She relaxed her shoulders and looked at the man who was focusing on her feet. Every time he applied ointment on it, he would considerately ask if it hurt. Finally, he finished applying ointment to the last scrape on her other foot. When he looked up, he met her tenderly watered up eyes. Her misty eyes and sweet affectionate smile caught him off guard. Once again, he was speechless.

Even though both of them didn't say anything, their eyes said more than enough. Seeing their own reflection in each other's eyes never made them feel as complete as this moment. This overflowing type of sweetness is one that they would never feel tired of. 

He brought her hands to his lips and marked them,"I'll tell you a secret. I fell for a girl long time ago, and many many years later today, I captured her heart and locked it with mine. We're happily engaged, and I swear that I will use the remaining years of this lifetime to show her how much I love her. And that girl became the most beautiful woman in my world, you."

Her lips parted as her smile widened, revealing her white teeth, "I fell for a boy since I have no idea when but that boy became the cheesiest man in my world. Even though he sucks at pick up lines, I still love him with my heart. So, if this boy, well now, man, is willing, I can give him my heart as long as he gives me his." 

They exchanged smiles before one bent forward and the other leaned closer. They met each other halfway and connected their lips over and over.

The warmth of the sunlight that was shining through the window landed on the girl's flawless face. Her eyelashes fluttered rapidly as her hands clenched onto her blanket tightly. She chanted, "No! No! Don't.. please.. I beg you stop! Ahh!!" She gasped for breath as she wiped the layer of cold sweat off her forehead. She looked at her phone and laid in bed after realizing that she was in her apartment. 'I'm safe.. it's alright.. safe..' After calming down, she took a quick shower and looked into the mirror. "Yang Ya Nuo! you got this! New day, new beginning!" She got dressed in a male school uniform and applied her makeup and wig. Within the next 15 minutes, her beautiful jade like face transformed into a handsome young man's face. "Aha! That should do it! Handsome like always. Breakfast time~" 
Since young, Ya Nuo learned how to change her voice to sound like a male's voice in case she needed it one day. Unlike girls at her age who liked to hang out with friends and go shopping, she only loves one thing, food! She works three part time jobs and is attending a famous school on a scholarship that covers full tuition.

"Nope! But I do have something I want to discuss with you." he smiled dazzlingly. He was the school's second most popular guy that every female wished to date. The number one ranked male student was Ya Nuo. These two met each other at a young age, but due to some reason Huan Hei never found out about her female gender. 
"I'm hungry. Let's talk food first."
"Here~ i already prepared a bag of groceries and two bacon, egg, and sausage for you" he winked.
Ya Nuo smirked, "Oh? Seems like it's something important hmm? Alright, let me enjoy my breakfast as we discuss your 'favor.'"
In the middle of enjoying her bacon, egg, and sausage, she suddenly spit out the mouthful of food onto Huan Hei. 
"will you be my girlfriend?" he asked confidently.
"Are you crazy?? I'm a guy! 100% male!"
"But you are so pretty, even girls say you have feminine features. I'm sure with a little makeup you'll look very cute!"

She sprinted inside the bathroom and locked the door from inside. She then quickly took out the blue colored, food coloring bottle and poured it inside the toilet cleaner. Elly quickly half filled the bottle with water and shaked it vigorousely.

 She hesitantly took a sip of the fluid and was about to throw up, looking at herself in the mirror, drinking from a toilet cleaner bottle. "Perfect!!" 

"Oh! God! Please help me with the plan!!" She took a deep breath and walked out of the bathroom, holding the bottle in her hands. She started pretending to cry, loudly and sat on the bed. She cried for a few more minutes and opened the bottle and looked at it as if in deep pain. The girl made sure, she was right in front of the camera, while sitting on the bed.

She then closed her eyes as if mustering a lot of strength and started drinking the fluid from the bottle. She drank a bit of the fluid and paused wiping away her mouth. She then again started crying profousely and again poured the contents in her mouth. 

She poured and poured the fluid till the enire bottle was finished. She held the bottle near her mouth and gazed at herself in the mirror. 

As soon as she looked at it, she gagged! After a few seconds, she started to throw up, the egg she had eaten, which could be easily mistaken as the white froth. 

The girl had several thoughts in her mind! Damn it!! I am dying here of drinking a toilet cleaner and nobody is coming to see me! Why did the man said, he is watching me through cameras? What do I do now? I can't even pretend to be fine now! Look at me!!! Look at me!!! I am dying here!! Yes Elly!! Puke!! Yes!!! Now shiver! Yes! Shiver your body harder.

The girl was pretending to shiver when suddenly she heard the door slam open and she improvised her acting even further. She crawled out of the bed, towards the water on the bed side, but rather dropped it from her shivering hands.

Few men came running towards her and saw the empty bottle of the toilet cleaner and her blue stained mouth and clothes.

"Boss was right!! She is poisoned!! Call the doctor immediately!!" A man picked up the shivering girl in his arms, while Elly was now crying her heart out.

"It is burning!!! Help!!! It is paining a lot!!! I...I...can't breath!!!" Elly cried profousely and the man quicky hurried.

"Don't worry Miss! We have an in house doctor!! The hospital is just the next wing!!" The man climbed down the stairs rapidly, walking towards the other wing, out of the house. 

"The doctor is reaching in ten minutes. He is saying to make the girl throw up as much as possible!" The other man came, hurridly 

"I...I can do that!!!" Elly spoke up. "Take me...to bathroom! I...want to pee also!" 

The man quickly took the girl to a hospital room and then towards the bathroom. Elly quickly closed the door and started to make gagging voices. There was a small window on the bathroom wall, which overlooked the dense forest garden of the house. The window looked large enough to fit the skinny girl. 

She quickly switched on the water tap of the basin and made another gagging voice. Side by side, she climbed on top of the pot seat and jumped out of the window, stepping on a large bush. 

She peeked inside the window, over-looking the bathroom and made another gagging noise. "It's working! Give me five more minutes! Then I will call you inside. Get my new clothes too! I can't come out like this! My clothes are dirty and I have removed them! I...peed in my clothes!! Ohh!!!" 

"Yes Miss! Take your time, I will send somebody to fetch your clothes!" The man spoke walking close to the door.

"Thank you! BLARRRAAAHHHHH!!!!" She made another sound and then sprinted between the wild trees and plants. The growth of the plants was so thick that even if Elly hides behind a tree, the men will not be able to spot her for two days. She sprinted towards the edge if the garden and saw a gigantic bricked wall!!

"Ohh!!! What to do next?? The wall is huge!!" She looked around in confusion and then spotted the gigantic thick trees before her.  "Ahhh!!! Atleast I know something!! Fruit plucking will help me now!!" She choose a tree which was just next to the boundary wall.

The girl quickly held a tree's bark with her hands and started climbing on it swiftly. She climbed and climbed, scratching her legs all over with the bark, untill she reached a thick and dense branch to sit and hide herself.

Dejected and heartbroken from her wedding, Elly runs away from her husband's house in the middle of the night. She comes across an old monastery, where she hides for shelter! 

Suddenly, she realises that the monastery was indeed, the home of an old chinese magician. 

Magician: Don't cry girl! Make a wish!

Elly: I want hundred days, where I can be a super- star's wife!

Magician: Granted! But don't forget, before the 101st day, you will run away from his house and never show him your face, ever again.

Elly: Offcourse! But what if he sees my face?

"Brother-in-law, what a coincidence. I see that you're having fun here too." Lan Yingying walked over to Long Sijue, and she deliberately stepped hard on Su Qianxun's feet as she passed by Su Qianxun.
Lan Yingying was wearing high heels, and Su Qianxun was only wearing slippers. She felt a sharp pain in her feet, and her face turned pale.

His eyes burned, but he had finally finished the hours of study required to complete the modified rune.  Closing his eyes, he leaned back in the chair for a moment, and rested.  He had slept poorly the night before, because he had been so excited to finally finish today.  There had only been three hours of study left, but he had to sleep last night.
They were currently in a small inn, in a small town called Chelsnick.  He had spent between twelve and thirteen hours each day for the past couple days, but yesterday he had only managed to get in ten, because the road was bad and the bumps kept interrupting him.  His dad planned to spend about a week here, so that if anyone wished to meet him, with infant's, they could.
The first time a couple walked up to his father and offered him a baby, had been very confusing and traumatizing to him.  His father had explained that the very poor, or those in hard places in life, had heard that he would often buy the babies if they met his standards.  If the options that faced them would force the child into slavery anyways, his father was known as the best slave master, and they would be guaranteed that their child would be well taken care of, and trained.  There was often nothing wrong with the child, and he would often buy them if they were under or very close to a year of age.
In the past month of travel with his father, he had somewhat gotten used to the random strangers willing to sell their babies.  He was quickly able to tell when they really didn't want to sell them, and when they probably weren't related at all.  There was a lost look of fear, anger, regret and hope in their faces and eyes.
It was common for the very poor to sell themselves into slavery in order to get out from under a debt, and since his father came around, they could sell their babies to him for enough to keep the rest out of slavery.  The whole concept was hard for him to witness, and it made him even more resolved to become the king of his own territory.  A place where slavery wasn't allowed and there would be options for those who were poor or in bad places to turn to.
He wasn't going to start trying to solve the world's problems at the moment, because he was almost certain that if there was a solution, someone would have seen to it before he came along.  All he could do at the moment was to focus on learning how to externalize his magic so he could finally cast his first spell.
After comprehending his first spell, he had to admit the modification looked nothing like the base rune.  The changes were supposed to be so subtle that you could barely tell the difference, but this was ridiculous.  The runes were like the difference in drawing with a crayon, spray painting it freehand, using stencils and painting with a paintbrush.  While they might all be the same symbol for FOOD, each was vastly different in art style or font.  Life 1 had learned an alphabet that was almost 5000 letters, so the subtleties of writing FOOD differently may have just been obvious to him.
A delicious smell wafted to his nose as the door to his room softly opened and shut.  Opening his eyes, he saw a delicious bowl of stew and a huge hunk of bread set down before him.  Looking up to thank whoever had brought it, he was stunned.
"Stella?"
She looked at him in confusion.
"What are you doing here?" he asked confused.
"Um, I brought you some food?" she answered just as confused.
"No, I mean, in a more general sense."
"Well," she said, pursing her lips in contemplation.  "My mother needed money, and men are willing to.."
"No, no, no…That's not what I meant.  I mean, why are you here and not with Stu?"
She looked at him for a moment before answering. "I've been with you this entire time as your personal servant…"
Joseph looked at her for several blinks before thinking back.  Sure enough, his memory reminded him, that every time he was served food, a particular girl smell, of some kind of soft vanilla cookie, came to mind.
"You smell like vanilla cookies," he stated.
Her blush took him by surprise, because she turned so red, he was almost afraid for her health.
"I may eat a few too many," she mumbled in embarrassment.
Nodding as that made sense, he picked up his spoon for the stew and began eating.  She explained to him, as he ate, that Stu thought he had taken an interest in her, so his father had decided to amend his one rule about slaves being a certain age, and took her.  Since she was his personal servant, he would be the one to determine what she was to learn and do.
He thought about this for a while, as he ate, and decided if she was to be his servant, even as a king, she would need to know how to read and write, and definitely diplomacy. He wondered if his dad had a tutor he could use, for her to learn some etiquette as well.  As he thought about it, he figured it wouldn't hurt for him to learn some etiquette.  It wouldn't be right for his servant to know more than he did.
Maybe talking to his father, was a good idea.  Both of them could have lessons right before the evening meal every day.  That way he could talk over supper about things with his father.  While he knew his dad was very proud of his study, it probably bothered him how preoccupied he had become.  To get a chance to talk to him would relieve some of his father's concerns.

Note: This original story will have daily updates, of a chapter a day.  This is not a standard system story where only the mc has the system.  There is no harem.
