A collection with some poems that I write over time, usually short, but there will be a chapter a day. The poems I like the most will be posted as independent stories and will have a continuation. (this story is part of another called The voice of Silence that comes out in November)

it had been an hour since our parents had left and Lena sat in her bathroom getting ready to go out with a couple of good friends. Liam then walked into her bathroom asking her why she had hit him " because you deserved it why would you give Mom and Dad ideas work and to make it worse you did it with quotation marks what do you think they're going to think I don't actually work." "I'm sorry okay it's just a habit." she looked at him in disbelief. "what did you just say?" he smacked himself in the mouth realizing what he just told her " ummm nothing I didn't say anything. he ran to his room leaving a frustrated Lena in the bathroom. She washed her face " what am I'm gonna do with him? " She got ready putting on her black heals with her beige dress as she curled her hair and put some jewelry on. Her phone buzzed as a text message appeared  on her screen saying "we're here come out" 
she grabbed her jacket heading out the front door locking it on her way out. As Lena walked down the driveway she saw a blue Camry pull up. the window of the blue Camry suddenly roll down and there was Stella. 

" Come on girl get a move on its almost ten" 
Lena ran knowing they would have to pay if they were late. 10 mins later and they were there with 5mins to spare. with that they both made a run for making it in time. they stood in front of the club talking to teddy the bouncer . "how are you babe" Stella asked him We all knew they were a thing even though they wouldn't admit it. it was as clear as water. We entered the club as the loud music surrounded us making the mood. Lena and Stella made their way to the bar asking the bartender for 2 whiskey on rocks to start the night easy.

who would of know that these two could have fucked up my sex life just like that.

Lena life was just fun until she met Malia and Eli

Actually, who knows what the original lyrics are. They're a little different everywhere you look.

Rare Grammar Fact: If you're writing a monologue that needs to be broken into paragraphs, open new paragraphs with a quotation mark but leave off the closing quotation mark until the speaker is finished speaking.

Chapter 34: On My Honor

Once back in the suite, Seto strode to the nearest bed and collapsed there, not bothering to disrobe. Joan took off his boots while Mokuba climbed onto the bed, peering over him in concern. "Big bro, are you all right?"

"Yeah, just haven't done that in a while," Seto admitted.

Joan joined them on the bed. "How did you do that anyway?"

"We experimented with neural interface technology a while back," Mokuba explained. "It was awesome at first, but then Seto's headaches kept getting worse, so we cut the program. We kept some of the wetware in place just in case we had another run-in with some creepy mage or something."

"Hm." Joan snuggled up to Seto, her head on his chest and arm around his waist. She wanted to know more but remembered Laura's warning about that Shadow Realm stuff and decided not to ask.

Mokuba continued the story without prompting, recounting Seto's obsession with defeating an ancient pharaoh in a duel and the havoc that ensued from tampering with magical artifacts. Seto grunted in occasional corrections to Mokuba's narrative but otherwise let him explain everything about their adventures in the past. However, instead of talking about the Shadow Realm and Millennium Items like Joan expected, Mokuba focused on an artifact called the Quantum Cube. Apparently, the Kaiba brothers had been through far more encounters with magic than Mokuba could cover in one evening. Somewhere in the middle of the story, Seto drifted off to sleep.

Not quite tired yet, Mokuba and Joan got up quietly and headed to the living room couch. Mokuba finished his tale of the Quantum Cube with an arm around her and spent a few moments in poignant silence before saying, "It's weird, but this hotel kinda feels like home now."

"That's not so weird. Home is wherever the people you love are. Even a university lecture hall can be home if someone you love is there," Joan replied.

"I guess you're right. It's not just that, though. I feel like I've lived more in the past week than I have in the past three years."

"We can find more meaning in a campfire's glow than we ever learned in a year or so."

"Huh?"

"It's from an old Girl Scout song."

"Sing it," Mokuba requested.

Joan pulled up some lyrics to "On My Honor" on her phone and sang it for Mokuba. By the end of the song, he was shaking to hold in tears.

"What is it?" Joan asked softly.

"I never had that kind of stuff in my childhood. It's been Seto and me against the world for as long as I can remember."

Joan held Mokuba tight. She'd been expecting this from him at some point but somehow still didn't know what to say. By comparison, her childhood had been a fairy tale. Sure she'd never actually owned a pony, but she'd ridden horses a few times at camp and there were so many other things she'd gotten to experience with various groups of friends. Mokuba, on the other hand, had probably maintained professional distance from people after his run-ins with creeps wielding magical artifacts. Joan had never had cause to fear others until adulthood when she'd overheard her coworkers talking behind her back. Perhaps she should start there. "You're not the only ones against the world anymore."

"How so?"

She stroked his hair as she spoke, as if he were the one reliving her traumatic memory. "I found out about polyamory when I was nineteen, and at twenty, I had a summer internship with a big publishing house. I'd recently met Michael and a few other guys through a dating site, and some of the guys I worked with were really hot, so I was getting around.

"It wasn't the guys I was actually dating that I had to worry about, though. It was the guys I didn't date . . . and the girls. The girls were even worse. The guys just peed in my coffee mug and put tapioca pudding in my cycling shoes, but I heard the girls talking poison. I told my boss, but she didn't care. So I started drinking less coffee and taking my mug with me on the few bathroom breaks I took, because I always had to check over everything when I got back to my chair, especially the chair itself, for sharp objects.

"My office sweethearts chickened out and stopped dating me, but I still had Michael through it all. I lasted through the end of the summer, but it wasn't easy. I had no friends in the office, nobody until the very last day when I had a one-time fling with my boss's boss."

"Was he taking advantage of you?" Mokuba asked.

"No no," Joan grinned. "I told him upfront that I was interested. He was the hottest man in the building and on top of that, he was also a Michael."

"You really have a thing for M names, don't you?"

Joan giggled. "Not really. It's more of a coincidence."

Mokuba thought for a moment. "The other workers, though. Do you want to pursue legal action against them?"

"If only I could go back in time to collect evidence, but I have no fingerprints, no recordings, nothing. Even if I'd thought to record that stuff about the poison I overheard, they'd already stolen my phone and pretended to be me and told Michael that I was breaking up with him. We sorted that out quickly once I told Michael they stole my phone, but it still sucked."

"I can only imagine," Mokuba said.

"Yeah, but it brought us closer in the end. Michael said it helped him get in touch with his feelings, you know, like how Seto reacted after that shit with Pegasus. My point though is that the next time you and Seto go head-to-head against the world and you need backup, you've got me, and I've got Michael and Marc, so in a sense you have them too. It's a whole network, actually."

"You mean like how Nathaniel is suddenly our nephew?"

"Yep."

"That's pretty cool."

"My friends are your friends. Your friends are my friends," Joan sang to the tune of "This Land is Your Land."

Joan and Mokuba both burst into giggles.

"This is amazing. I've never met someone who just sings whenever like we're in a musical or something."

"Then you need to meet my friends from university. André writes songs, so there's music in their house every day. They live on Wendy Street, so they call their place Neverland."

"Aw man! I hope Seto doesn't start calling them the nerd herd or something when he finds out. I mean, he seems like he's gotten over a lot of his inhibitions where you're concerned, but I wouldn't push my luck with other people."

"All right. Just you for now then. Friday night we stay at Neverland and then Saturday we'll go to the Blooming Planet Festival."

"OK," Mokuba grinned, "if you'll come to the charity ball Thursday night."

"Charity ball?" Joan asked.

"It's kind-of an after party for the Summit. Most people fly home Friday, so they scheduled the ball on Thursday."

"Sounds good, as long as I get to dance with both of you."

"Don't you mean all three of us? I set Marc and Laura up with tickets already."

Joan squealed with excitement and pawed at Mokuba's KC belt. "Get inside me now!"

"Whoa, can we at least get to a bed first?"

Joan sprang up and towed Mokuba into the vacant bedroom. She stripped off her bottoms and grabbed a condom from her purse but didn't bother with her top. Mokuba dropped his jeans, and Joan stroked him to stiffness while he pulled his shirt off. She pushed him backwards onto the bed, slipped the condom on, and mounted him. Only then did she bother removing her shirt and bra. Her breasts bounced freely as she rode him into the night.

When CEO Seto Kaiba propositions Joan, she expects a one-night stand, but he and his brother keep coming back for more. Now the Kaiba brothers want an heir from her and will pay any price to get it. How do Joan’s husband and boyfriend feel about her new profession? More importantly, how do they handle public scrutiny?

(Luna's POV) 

      The next morning I woke up to a very bright light and a empty bed. I got up from the bed and went into the bathroom and took a nice refreshing shower. I then brushed my teeth and got dressed for the day. 
      I got hungry so I walked downstairs. I entered the dining room to see the lights were off. 'Weird' I thought. Then out of nowhere the lights turned on and there was a very loud "SURPRISE!!WELCOME HOME!!". It was the whole pack. The whole room was decorated and filled with people. They threw me a whole party. I was about to cry.
       After being shocked from the welcoming,  I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. I was Jacob. " Welcome home" he said and I turned to him and said "it's good to be home" and I pulled him into a kiss, which he then returned. I was so happy. 
       Through most of the rest of the day, Jacob took me around to greet everyone with our fingers interlocked. The party was inside at first, but after a while we took it outside. They had a pool this whole time. Oh hell no. I was not going to pass up this opportunity. I let go of Jacob's hand and ran towards the pool. I didn't care what I was wearing. It didn't stop me from jumping and yelling "CANNON BALL" into the water.
     When I reached the surface of the water I saw half of the pack running and jumping into the water as well. It was so fun. That was until I saw someone who wasn't having fun. I looked to the side the pool and saw Jacob with just his feet in the water staring mid space. I slowly swam to him.
    "Hey you. Why aren't you having fun?" I asked. "I am. I just can't show it. I am Alpha after all." he replied. I gave him the most serious look a person you can give and said "that is straight up bullshit".Then he looks at me and says " I'm serious". His reply got really annoyed. Then I thought of something. 'Oh he would kill me if did that'. 
      I began to lightly giggle to myself then looked back at Jacob who was back in his own world. 'That's it. I have to do what I thought of' I said to myself. "Can you at least help me out so I can "have fun" with you too" I said emphasizing the "have fun" in the quotation marks I'm making with my hands. He let out a little laugh and held his hand out. I grabbed his hand and slightly jumped up putting my weight towards him. 'Now eniciate my plan' I thought to myself. 
     After helping me try to get out of the pool for a couple of seconds, I just looked at him and had the biggest evil grin ever. He looked at me with a scared look. But before he could say anything, I gripped his hand tighter and put all of our weight back towards me. *Splash*. Now we were both in the water. 
     I began to laugh so hard as I looked at Jacob who was now soaking wet. Then he looked at me with and cold, evil look. It sent shivers down my spine. That look lasted for a moment and then he said "oh now you going to get it". I got scared and began to swim away from him as he chased me around the water.
      It took him awhile to get me because I kept splashing water in his face, but eventually he caught me. He grabbed my arm and pulled me close to his body. We were both laughing so hard. We were laughing for awhile and we slowly just stopped laughing and smiled at each other. He looked so happy and I was happy too.
    Then he looked at me with his smile and held my hand said "Let's get married". Hearing this,  I stepped back a little and said "what" in disbelief. He then put his hand in his pocket and took out a gold ring with a diamond in the center shaped like a moon. I looked at him and he said it again "marry me". At this point I was on the brink of tears.
       I looked at him with the biggest smile and said " yes, but under one condition ". He looked at me with a concerned face. I then continued " You have to mark me ". After I said that, his big smile came back and he said  as he put the ring on my finger "I was already planning to". I laughed a little and pulled him into a deep passionate kiss. This was officially the best night of my life.

After being abused all my life and held captive I thought I would just die there. But after escaping from their clutches I was able to find him. My mate.

Klaus walked with long strides as he hurried to stop that troublesome woman.  When he reached he saw Jade who was almost touching  the doorknob  a hint off panic flash through his eyes as he used his speed to stop her.

He held her shoulder flinch as she turned to his direction he could see that her colourful green eyes became faint.

He quietly examined her, she had a tired look in her eyes as Klaus muttered "idiot..... come sit" he said as he brought her down the stairs to sit on a chair leaned opposite the bathroom door.

"Tired?" He asked and received a nod from her as her pupils regained their vibrant green colour.

"At this rate I can no longer see the difference between you and a five year old. I specifically told you not to go in there". He scolded in an annoyed tone only to received  a childish pout from her. 

" I'll leave you here to rest come when you feel better". He said as he walked away.

Immediately after Klaus' departure she started hearing the voices again she turned to the direction of the voice "Don't. even. think about it" she uttered before turning to continue sulking.

When she felt calm and satisfied she walked to the hall only to be greeted by a gathering of vampires.

She saw Klaus beside his father who was on the throne and decided to walk  up to  him when she was greeted by a squad of three women. These women wore an awful lot of perfume and make up she looked at them carefully and recognized they were also in the handbook. Klaus gave it to her for her to memorize all there members of the vampire clan so that she wouldn't find her self wanting. 

The hatred their eyes was visible as they stared at her. "You must be the slut of the Jevron house" one of them enquire. "" An you three must be the decorative toys of  you marital homes". Jade retorted.                "Is something wrong".                             "Oh something is wrong alright and its right in front of us".

" Oh right. I have makeup remover in my purse should I lend it to you. Cause when I first saw you guys I thought I was coming to a circus." Suddenly their pupil turned pure red as they stared at her with clenched fist.

"Oh you don't need it? Then... bye." She wave as she walked to Klaus.
"Look at her Hmph I wouldn't be surprised if the child isn't Klaus ". One said. " I don't know what that b*tch did to get into the Jevron house but shell get kicked out I'll make sure of it". 

Hearing this Jade could not stand it any more they made sure to say it loud enough for everyone present. Witnessing this scene Lorcan was about to go and put fools in their place how dare they bully his precious sister.

Surprisingly Klaus stopped him. His father rebuke him when he justified himself in a low voice "How can she keep the Jevron name of she can't handle those small fries. She must learn to defend herself, we will not always be around to protect her. Better to start now or never."

"Hearing this logic they agreed as they watched the scene."

Jade gave a cold smile as she turned to them, by nature she wasn't someone to sit and take insults especially the fact that her child was involve THAT was a no go zone to her.

"You will make sure of it?" she enquired. "W... we will all make sure of it the other to added."
"Oh I see.... but shouldn't you be occupied with you marital home problems. Well at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if you loose all your wealths to other women. OR is it because you were too busy minding the Jevron's family business that you forgot you had HUSBANDS." She deliberately emphasized on husbands to say they were not faithful partners because that were eyeing Klaus. "Or were you born with barrenness well what ever it is I'm sure its definitely not the third reason"

 She said with and innocent smile she knew very well that these three were barren  and so their position as mistresses was not stable as their Husbands had no love for them. They simply came to her to push their shame onto her.

"Well then let me put your mind at ease... The Jevron family is capable of handlings it " issues" ".  She said making quotation marks in the air at the word issues.  " So it doesn't need Anybody to try and defend its name, so my friends find a way to make your positions stable cause at this rate I see myself in the near future donating a lot into funding homeless people." She said as she walked away but suddenly stopped turned around with an innocent look "By the way Mrs Donne one cheek is falling" she said to the lady in the middle before she walk off this caused an uproar in the guest as they expressed their respect for the Jevron family for their choice of a daughter in-law.

Her words not only gave her a strong image but also gave the Jevron family even greater respect and power.

Jade finds out that she harbours the powers of 4 different creatures which are all powerful and that she is destined to marry the current head of the vampire clan. And the fact that she's already pregnant with his child means she can't run away. Against her destined husband her powers are no match for him. Will she accept this destiny or not?

A lot of different countries have different quotation marks. Starting this list will be the USA with "Words". Then comes the britians with their 'Words'. The Germans then mainly use ,,Wörter" and rarely >>Wörter<<. French use it the other way around with <<Mots>>. 

Commas and periods need to be in the quotation marks. Question marks and exclamation points should only be inside if they were a part of the quote. 

Quotation marks can be used to communicate irony. Writing a book is very "easy".

At the Copperfield Foundation's headquarters, a man with neat white beard sat in the center of a conference room. He was the CEO of the Copperfield Foundation, Caleb Copperfield. By both his sides were the directors of each departments. They were currently having their meeting to discuss their quarterly report.

"Well, I think if we would like to continue expanding in Country Z, we would have to watch out for our competitors in our market." The Director of Urban Planning switched to the PowerPoint slide where it showed the layout of city. The buildings were highlighted with different colours to show what company owned it. He continued to speak.

"On the east side, Hayfield Limited monopolises 80 percent of the shopping and housing districts there. Not only that, their shopping mall in the Central, The Elysian Fields, boasts the largest rich customer base in Country Z. If we would like to expand in the country, they would be the ones to watch out for. Right now, our best bet would be to expand in..."

The Elysian Fields shopping mall was in it's fifth year of opening. It was actually the place that Gray and Sato went for a meal the first time together. Back then, Sato was a university dropout that had nothing and Gray was just a cool General. Their aesthetic designs that imitated a haven for the gods, like the fountain of Poseidon pulled by his sea-horses, attracted many customers from the higher echelons of society. Every store in the mall are all internationally known brands. Annually, there would always be a bid by the different brands, in hopes of getting their store in the mall. The prices of the rental would reach astronomical heights.

After the analysis given by the director was finished, Caleb Copperfield finally spoke. "Mmm.. The analysis you've given us is sound and correct. At the moment, we do not necessarily have to compete for the largest pie in the shopping and housing districts. We shall go ahead with your plan, to expand in the  west direction of Country Z. Get our agents to procure the suggested lands from the brokers. Make sure to give a higher quotation than normal so as to scare off potential buyers."

" That will be all for today. Keep up the good work everyone." Caleb gave an ending to this meeting and left first before everyone else did. The boss of the company headed back to his office room. Although his office wasn't as spacious as Martheus', it was bigger than a normal company's boss.

The well dressed man sat in his chair with a grim face. His mood wasn't gloomy because of his company, but as a result of his son, Tyron. Tyron Copperfield was his only child and was a culmination of his blood sweat and tears. He had done everything for his son, to create a better future for him. Tyron was going to takeover his position as CEO several years from now. However, that succession had been crumbled into pieces.

Several weeks ago, Tyron came back lost and distraught. His pants was stained in his own urine. His hands were shaking uncontrollably. Worse of, he couldn't speak without stuttering. Whenever Caleb tried asking what had happened to him, Tyron would immediately curl up into a ball and suck his thumb. Sometimes, if overly pressured, he would pee himself again. He had basically become a 5 year old child all over again. After all this time, his son would lock himself up in his dark room and hide in a corner.

Caleb had tried hiring a private investigator to look into the source of his problem, but in the end, there was nothing to be found. There were no witnesses other than the lackies of Tyron's, but they too were as traumatised as his son.

What had caused my son to become like this? Caleb frowned deeply. He was a person of power in this country and so, very few people would dare to offend his son. Even more, who had so much power that they could ward off any media or public attention to this incident. There were only three words that Tyron would repeat. Sorry. Mercy. Gun.

The last word was enough to show that the person his son had offended, was someone that shouldn't be trifled with. Caleb knew that his chances of revenge was slim. Now, he just wanted his son to recover back to his normal self.

Back at home, Sato had studied throughout the entire afternoon. When he was in the zone, he wouldn't stop studying. His hands would not stop moving, solving questions after questions. Rarely, he would be stumped by a question. If he did, he would analyse and learn from his mistake, knowing not to make it again.

By the time he stopped studying, the sun had already started to set. Sato stood up from the table and walked beside his gaming pod. He stretched himself in relish as he finally felt the stiffness in his back kick in. The current life of the young man was something he didn't think would happen to him anytime soon.

He had thought that he would have to first graduate from university and enter a fortune 500 company. Then on, he would climb the ranks for a decade, before finally settling with a high paying job. That was his plan before it was derailed by the cancelling of his scholarship.

When Sato got enough of the sunset view, he left to his bathroom to take a shower. Even though he had a bathtub, he didn't like the idea of wasting water and so, he stuck to his old ideals. While he was showering, Gray had come home from work.

Sato had to drop out of university as he lacked the funds to continue his education. Due to some unfortunate encounters, his original scholarship funds had disappeared and now he was forced to earn enough to carry on his education journey.

As such, he saw a advertisement ad recruiting a personal assistant in the military. Anyone could be eligible and not only that, the pay was high too. Immediately Sato applies for it, where he soon finds out that it was to be the Personal Assistant for a Major General of the Army of Country Z.

I woke up with the sun shining on my face, the light passing through the cracks on the window. Yawing I stretch, feeling good for finally having slept in a bed.
Then I froze mid-movement as I blink awake and look beside me.
Why-Was-I-Sleeping-Beside-Leonel?!
I looked over my shoulder again, feeling the weight of his loose arm over my waist in a casual manner, his face so close that I could feel his breath tickling the back of my neck.
Shit.
Damn, I…
Brain, start working will ya? Nothing wrong here, just, I must have fallen asleep and he thought better to keep me here, really, nothing much.
Sensing my movement his hand hardens his grip, bringing my back closer to him, my body been cupped by his.
…
Ok…
Don't panic…
He must think I'm a pillow or something, yeah…
Just take deep breaths…
His lips brush the tip of my ears on top of my head, as his sleepy husky voice resonates very close:
"Good morning my little hound."
At that I shiver. Ohh shit, mayday, mayday, exerting escape plan, escape plan at hand!
I jump up, standing quickly as lighting, babbling :
"G-good morning! Why was I sleeping with you?"
With a smirk he rested his head on his hand, very casually and comfortable, his golden eyes turned in a crescent moon shape.
"We got the last three rooms from this place yesterday, so we need to share some of it."
Oh, I see, a reasonable explanation. What was I thinking? Ha, ha-ha…
"Came back… is cold here…" Leo says, patting the side of the bed.
Back? Cold?
"Hell no you lazy elf! Get your noble ass up right now!" To make my point known I kick the side of the bed, moving it a little.
He sits up, a smug smirk in his face, and I quickly learn why. Shit, he had taken his shirt off. I blink in surprise, as if taking a photograph in my mind for posterity, and turn away in the most awkward way possible; even if I wanted to lie to myself and say I looked casual and normal avoiding the sight.
Sigh.
But those ripped abs… damn, they look like they could take a sword slice and break the metal. Damn.
And worst, that did not have an understandable explanation.
"Why the hell you don't have your shirt on?!"
"Be thankful, I usually sleep naked."
N-n-n-n-n-naked?
"If you want to use the bathroom first I already left a water crystal there." He says, avoiding the long silence I would give to recover and say anything.
I just go for the knob and once I find it I lock myself inside the bathroom.
And sigh.
Bloody hell, I shouldn't let him have this effect on me, even more with all his teasing. Hell, I was a creature to be feared, The Terror! Not some damsel in distress!
I just take my clothes off and have a quick shower, pouring mana inside the crystal that stood on top of a metal structure as water started dripping from it. That's the way rich people take their baths, most ask for water downstairs and pay for the extra service.
I change to another outfit, puffy pants with straps in the end and an opening following the side and showing my legs underneath, as well as a half shirt that showed my belly and arms, only covering my nipples, going high in the neck.
Once I get out, however, I immediately feel Leo's eyes piercing me, especially the parts were the skin was showing, such as my bellybutton and legs.
"Are you trying to say something?" He says, his voice getting deeper as I still avoided looking at his abs- at him, at him.
"Like what?"
He stares in silence for a moment, his gaze intense without blinking. "Forget about it, but you don't intend to get out of here looking like that do you?"
Raising an eyebrow I answer: "If I do or don't is none of your businesses, I can wear whatever I want."
Is his time to raise both eyebrows, a smirk curving his lips. "Oh really? Then I should stay like this a little longer."
I snort at that, flapping my ears to make the water dry, going to the bed were some extra towels stood, bringing it straight for my hair.
I stop, however, when I listen from behind the sound of clothes hitting the floor and leather slithering away.
I shouldn't have looked back, I had a bad premonition, but of course I couldn't hold myself back as I look, only to find Leo with his wide back turned to me, looking back as he deliberately walks slowly to the bathroom, his pants gone, only a towel in place.
My eyes widen as a mischievous smile curves his lips as he lets the towel fall, staying totally-completely-entirely naked, his torn thighs and butt coming to view and blanking my mind.
He stops at the door and looks sideways towards me, a wicked glint on his eyes, saying before closing the door behind him: "I really missed you little hound."

Aghhrrgfdgfhdd! My poor heart! My brain broke! Is that even possible?! Ugh!

I went down to the lower floor automatically, my mind in a state of frenzy that made me think a billion things at the same time and, yet, no real thought was formed.
And I did put my cape over my body before going out, just for the record.
 
And to help my situation my brother had woke up full of energy, talking about how we should sleep more in beds, that the food was tasty, that the smells here intrigue him, and so on and on.
At least it was only the two of us now, Ragnur surviving from a hangover and Leo still bathing, even better was that in the morning this place looked much more cleaner and quiet.
We sat down and ate some salted eggs with cheese and fresh bread, passing the soft loaf over the plate when we were done with to which had granted us with Leo's company.
Unfortunately, with that, the girl and the knight came down as well, her small, petite figure been shadowed by the moving silver figure.
She looked at me and snickered. Geez, what a great mood to start your day with, though I have a feeling that she is like that all the time.
"Good morning to you too."
She didn't say anything, looking with an annoyed expression to everything and anyone until her food arrived, together with some coffee.
"So… you two are part of Leo's "master plan?" I make quotation marks with my fingers, sipping my drink. She takes a napkin and cleans her lips first before answering.
"Yes, we are. I'm specialized in healing magic, my name is Isa Outlawe, and this is Nacon Ceinogoc, my Templar."
"Nice to meet you." Not really. "My name is Palarran Thilgon Mìnaothon, and this is my younger brother Palarran Hunthor Mìnaothon , but just call us Thilgon and Hunthor if you will."
"Say…" She asks, leaning forward over the table, whispering some as Leo was away close to the bartender, asking for something. "How did you meet Prince Leonel? I mean, I've never seen him so carefree before, hell, I haven't seen him smile before yesterday!"
"Well, I don't…" The answer was cut short once Leo comes back. I was about to say that I didn't know that she was talking about, like, different how? He had his mood swings, sure, and was really annoying sometimes, sure, but nothing out of the ordinary.
"So…" I say, trying to change the subject. "Isa, right? Are you part of Leo's crazy plan?"
She scowls. "Is not crazy, difficult, yes, but not totally impossible. What about you? What are you doing here?"
I shrug. "That doesn't matter." Didn't feel like giving he personal answers. I was just professionally enduring her presence. "But do you guys even have a plan? A country is not build up with only good intentions you know? And what part you take in this little miss? Why do you even care?"
That seemed to piss her off, not sure exactly which part though. "Well, at least I believe and I am committed to the cause." I snort at that.
"Cause? What cause? This is no charity, this must but seem like a project, planned and elaborated, not some little girls dream."
She stands, slamming her hands on the table, pointing at my face. I look her straight in the eyes, and say:
"If you are trying to look scary, you will need far more than a little tantrum show to even faze me little-girl."
"You freaking shitting eating monster who do you think-!"
"Yeah, yeah, kids, time to stop your little fight for Papa Ragnur is here." The dwarf voice from the stairs cut the fight short as he comes closer and hammers his body down the chair, a groggy look on his face.
"You are hardly old enough to be my father dwarf." She says.
"Yeah yeah, but thankfully I look older than I'm, so no harm done."
"That hardly something to be proud of either."
I roll my eyes at that. Geez, she cannot let it go, always having to have the last word. Humf, why this pampered little girl is in this group to start with?
"No but, seriously, do you guys have a plan, like, any plan at all?"
This time everybody stays quieted, my gaze ending on Leonel, who simply stares back.
"Humf, what would be of you guys without me, you would never even come close to making it."
"I would never even dream of it." Says Leo, narrowing his eyes slightly as he gaze goes a little down to the visible skin in the curves of the cape.
"Pampering me will not help you."
"Not even a little bit?" His eyes go up again, a little smirk on his lips, making Isa look shocked for some reason.
And… it did help, a little bit.
Not that I would admit it to him, like, ever.

I woke up, confused and disoriented, blinking my heavy eyelids, only to find out that I was… a dog?!

Let's do a quick rewind of Dylan's side of the things...
It had been perfect. Actually, too perfect that it even made Dylan feel like it was a dream. He might be naive when it came to feelings but he wasn't naive or inexperienced in kissing. He has had his fair share of 'fun' in life. And that's why it was very surprising to him that a mere kiss was making him feel all those feelings that he couldn't even describe in words.
But he could tell that the kiss was special because of her. Because it was Cali, he felt like he was back in his adolescence. He really felt like a teenager who was getting excited because his crush had the same feelings as he did. But the main point here was that Dylan actually had never gone through that feeling before. 
His first and last real relationship wasn't the result of his flirting. It was the other way around. His ex was the one who came on to him rather than him doing it. 
However, this one kiss was able to evoke those feelings that he never thought he'd be able to feel. Even when their lips parted, Dylan's hands didn't let her get away. He found a strange comfort with her body pressed against his own. Perhaps, that's why he didn't even think before sleeping with her.
"Get you head of the gutter," rebutted Dylan as he looked at Xiu's sparkling eyes. There was definitely something unholy running through that scheming head of hers. "Nothing of that sort happened."
Xiu's face looked like someone dropped a bucket of cold water on her, "You both slept in the same bed but nothing happened? What were you doing then?"
"I just hugged her to sleep," answered Dylan in his innocent voice making Xiu want to smack him but she held herself back because let's face it, she had expected this from him even with his bad record. 
"You have a track record which is by the way not very innocent but with the one person you had to take action, you chickened out?"
"No, I didn't chicken out," retorted Dylan and ran his fingers through his hair again. "I..." he tried to rethink his words before speaking, "I didn't think it was right."
"Woah! She isn't the right person?"
Dylan pulled a strand of her hair making her yelp, "No! Will you let me finish? I said it didn't feel right. I was talking about time. The timing seemed off because she felt so damn right that I didn't want to rush in like a fool."
Xiu's face brightened up as she grinned and forgot all about him pulling her hair. She simply slid close to him and grinned even more widely. "So, she felt like that right person, huh?" The way she was wriggling her brows at him was really annoying but it somehow made him chuckle at this idiot. Her finger brushed his ear adding, "Damn! Dylan, your ears are burning now. How shy can you get?"
"You know you are acting like a jerk?" he spat at her with an undertone of anger which seemed too shallow to make Xiu take it seriously.
"Can we blame it on the hangover?" she suggested.
"Not everything should be blamed on the hangover," said Dylan.
Xiu shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. "Then I guess I am a jerk. So what? Deal with it, since you have to bear me for long now." While Dylan shook his head at her, she tapped his shoulder and urged him to continue his story.
And then Dylan went back to his story...
Well, everything was great at night even when he hugged Cali to sleep. But when he woke up, she was missing from the bed.
"She ghosted on you?" Xiu looked horrified as she stared at Dylan with sympathy.
Dylan sighed out heavily. It was the umpteenth time she was disturbing him but he couldn't even do anything. He just stared at her saying, "No wonder you and I find each other special." Xiu knitted her brows at him. "We share the same brain cell because that's exactly what I thought as well." Xiu laughed at him as he added, "I really thought she ghosted on me but I was wrong..."

Indeed, he was wrong because Cali hadn't gone anywhere. But he only got to know that when she came out of the bathroom with only a damn towel wrapped around her body. Her hair was also bundled up in a towel. Dylan was stunned to see the droplets of water kissing her contour making him feel bothered. The way the water slid down her body made a lot of things to flash through his mind. Some seriously explicit thoughts that he'd want to get rid of but couldn't do so.
'Oh, you're awake...' was Cali's casual reaction which caught Dylan off guard. She took off the towel from her hair and started drying her hair. Dylan really thought she was testing his patience now. Because why else would she do that before him? She looked at his reflection through the mirror and asked, 'You can take a shower if you want to.'
Dylan opened his mouth to say something but he couldn't do it looking at her. So, he turned around and replied, 'I can't. I have nothing to change into.'
Cali nodded in understanding. 'Oaky then freshen up. I've called for room service. Let's have some breakfast.'
Dylan watched her rummaging through her wardrobe before he scratched his head and vanished into the bathroom. What he failed to notice was how Cali's hands clutched her shirt tightly as she saw him disappearing from her sight. It was really not easy acting so calm before him. Her lips were still tingling from his touch. 
She was so out of sort that she even forgot to take her clothes before going for a shower. And that's why she had to suffer through this torture of his eyes lingering on her half-exposed body. But bloody hell, she loved the sensations that surged through her body when his eyes bored into her.
 Dylan, on the other hand, was sulking now since even at the breakfast all she talked about was useless things; Weather, news, tourist spots in the city, and food. Like seriously? Why was she so nonchalant? His body was burning at the reminder of last night and she was pretending like she hadn't confessed to him! 
But he was so busy in sulking that he didn't notice how while talking her eyes would often linger at his lips without blinking. She was only acting this indifferent to hide how flustered she was. 
'So, what's your plan for the day?' he had asked in his attempt to keep this conversation going and also, to find a way to spend time with her.
'Oh, I'm gonna meet Regan. I heard Francesca is here, so I'd like to meet her as well. It's been a while,' she answered while Dylan's face fell completely.
'Okay. Then I should be taking my leave,' he huffed throwing a tantrum before walking out of there and coming to Xiu. Well, the only stop he made on the way was to change his clothes.

After listening to him Xiu raised his brow and muttered, "So you both ghosted on each other."
"What do you mean? How is it my fault?" Dylan didn't know why she was coming at him now. How could it be his fault that Cali acted as nothing happened between them? He was already feeling hurt because he hadn't felt this way before. It sucked. Everything sucked right now!
"Since you both avoided 'the talk'," she emphasized by adding the air-quotation and went on, "It means you both ghosted on each other."
"But I didn't even know what to say."
Xiu patted his head comforting him and it helped since Dylan let his head drop on her shoulders with ease and closed his eyes feeling drained out for some reason. Xiu knew what he was feeling. It sucks when you don't know where you stand in someone's life. One minute they say they love you and the next, they just choose to withdraw without any explanation. It's hurtful and painful in a way that Xiu felt really bad for Dylan right now.
"Before we come to any conclusion..." Xiu was still patting his head as she went on, "Dylan, be honest with me. We already know what she feels about you. Now, what about you? Do you really like her?"


"Are you looking for your Mr. Right?"

"Why would I wait for him? Mr. Right is lost on his way."

He quirked his brow at her answer with a faint smile at the corner of his lips.

"Then what are you doing?" He questioned in amusement.

She placed both her hands on his chest and pushed his masculine body against the wall taking him by surprise.

Her honey-brown eyes blinked at him with mischief dancing in them as she planted a firm kiss at his jaw and said, "I'm planning on taking advantage of Mr. Right Now!"

His eyes widened dramatically in disbelief. Before his eyes darkened with desire and passion. 

He placed his hands on her small waist and she could feel the heat of his big hands through the flimsy fabric of her shirt.

His head leaned ahead as he whispered close to her ear, "Feel free to take whatever you want." 

She felt his hot tongue licking her earlobe making her heart to beat erratically.
