The hangover greets him before he could open his eyes. He groans and rolls on his stomach. Then, it occurs to him that he's lying on a soft mattress. Where is he? 

There's nothing much in the room. In the corner, there are two suitcases are quite noticeable. He frowns. This place… how did he come here?

He finds a note next to his pillow. 

[The hangover soup is in the refrigerator. Heat it before you drink it.]

Who is kind enough to make hangover soup for him? He goes to the kitchen and finds the soup. He sniffs it suspiciously. What did he do last night? Did he hook up with some girl and end up in her…

And the memories rush into his mind.

The bowl of soup drops on the flood. Jeong-Hyuk steps backwards in shock. 

Chicken...

 What had he done?

How would he face her? 

Wait. Wait. Wait. She kissed him first in the dream.

It doesn't mean that he had to kiss her back.

To be fair, it was a dream. Right? He looks at the mattress.

He wouldn't dream about this place for sure. 

God, he had committed a crime.

"It's fine if it's a dream?" He slaps himself. "Are you crazy? It's not right even in the dream."

Her flushed face reappears in his mind. He touches his lips. His cover his lips, feeling the heat burn through his skin. The softness of her lips. The warmth of her skin. Her scent. The sound of her breathing. The taste of her mouth. His face turns red when he recalls how the shy look in her eyes. He feels like he's been marked by her. 

"How would I face her?" He holds his head. "Where is she? Did she get mad at me and leave?" 

Her suitcase is still here.

Did she hate it?

He even fell asleep right after kissing her like that.

To make it worse, he wants to do it again.

"No!" He raises his hand. "Don't even think about it. It can't happen. I kissed her because I was drunk. It was my pent up sexual energy. It had been a long time since I did it. I will apologize to her. Where is she?"

He looks for his phone. Where did he place it? He didn't even bring any luggage when he came here. It doesn't matter. After looking around the room, he finds the phone in his pocket. It's strange how people are always looking for things that are usually very close to them. He sighs and stares at his phone. If he calls, what should he say? He feels awkward and guilty. 

"You, beast!" Tears well up in his eyes. "Why would you do that? Were you that sexually frustrated? You should exercise every day, Bastard. She's your goddaughter." 

His face is still hot. First, he should wash his face. He goes into the bathroom and turns the tap. After washing his face, he looks into the mirror. 

His lips purse into a thin line. His face is full of small purple marks. Cheeks, jaw, ears, neck… he unbuttons his shirt and looks at his chest. Even his belly is not spared. It looks like something an angry chicken would do. This can't be from a dream for sure.

Is this the same innocent chicken who mistook hickeys for bed bug bites?

It seems like she spent good time making these on him. She wouldn't go there, would she? He laughs. "She wouldn't do that."

Would she? He unzips his pants and checks his gears. His legs are safe too. 

He lets out a sigh of relief. His chicken had spared his dignity. 

After cleaning up, he takes a taxi to the address that Mun Soyoon had sent him. The taxi driver keeps grinning at him in the mirror. Jeong-Hyuk doesn't know what to do about the marks on his face. He shrinks his neck and pulls up the coat's collar. Chicken, this punishment is too much.

"Is it done?" Chang Seol asks loudly. Mun Soyoon is auditing the lecture. Chang Seol couldn't stay there for more than five minutes. She couldn't understand art. Listening to lectures on art in another language is definitely not her thing. Somehow, she ended up coming here and posing for Adrian's friend. All she has to do is sit.

Adrian leans closer to the art student. "How will it take?"

The boy gives the finishing touch. "It's done."

"Seol, come and look." Adrian shouts, "He is finished."

Excited, she walks to the art student and looks at the portrait. It's her, alright. At the same time, she can't feel that it's her. The girl in the portrait looks like her, but she's too beautiful. Light seems to be bending around the girl in the portrait.

The girl is so pure as if the darkness had never touched her. Chang Seol doesn't feel like it's her. 

That's not her.

"It's pretty." She tells Adrian, "Can you tell him that?"

Adrian translates her words to his friend. The boy glances at her and says some words to her. 

"Huh?" She blinks her eyes. The language barrier is too much.

"He said that you are more beautiful." Adrian grins at her. "I agree. He's not good enough to capture all of your soul."

"Adrian, you also talk like Sunbae." She puckers her lips. Mister hasn't called her yet. Did he wake up and see the surprise or not? He's probably going to be angry. 

"I guess that I am influenced by her." Adrian laughs. His friends stand up and say something to him that Chang Seol doesn't understand. Then, the boy gives her a nod and walks out of the room without the portrait.

"Why is he not taking this?" Chang Seol points at the painting.

"He asked me to give you this." Adrian looks at the painting again. "Girls in love are beautiful."

"What are you saying?" Chang Seol glares at him. "I am not in love."

It's a secret that she's keeping from everyone except for Mister. She won't say the words until she's sure that he would accept her feelings.

"Ah, right!" Adrian chuckles. "I am not supposed to say the word."

"What word?" Chang Seol scowls.

"I wonder how did that man's face become like this." Adrian teases her. "You said that the mouse did it."

"It was the mouse." There's no way that she would admit this. "I am the witness. I am telling you that the mouse did it."

The mouse must be a cute female with a ponytail. It's funny how she's denying it on everyone's face. Adrian picks up the painting. "Let's go. I will show you around the university."

Jeong-Hyuk hides when they leave the room. He's been here for a while, watching her. He hasn't seen the painting, but he is sure that it wasn't more beautiful than her. Are girls in love really beautiful? Then, is she in love with him?

And the mouse made the hickeys? 

He shakes his head and laughs. Only idiots would believe that.

Quintela The Empress of Death and Akashino The 1st Grand Elementalist, Unfortunately Quintela was too strong for him.

I smiled at him and said at most it would be like 30k pieces. "I'd offer you 80 for these each. You really are making me bald, do you know that?"

"Just a way for me to earn some credits and also to Level up myself. Thanks, man. I've got to get back to the house." I excused myself and I used my system to access the map and chose Castle Keating-Macleod and I warped back just in time to see the interns just entered the kitchen. 

"Enjoy the breakfast first while I do something and would be right back." I hurried left the kitchen and went to my study where I meditated and went to the Realm of Mind and proceeded to the Fusion Chamber. 

"Forget about the helm, I just duplicate these Level 3 chain mail gauntlet at 1k for each slot and running on 6 Fusion Chambers instead. They are equally priced and this gauntlet takes 30 seconds to duplicate one pair." 

"Alright... I'd better head back now." I said aloud after I had placed a pair of gloves in each slot and cranked it up to duplicate and queue 1k each and this goes to 5 other machines for a total of 30k pairs. I then logged off and heads back to the real world and enters my kitchen. 

"Hello again everyone. Enjoy your breakfast as we continue. Today we are going to make Cheesy Ground Pork Tacos, Braised Beef and Brocolli, Cilantro Lime Chicken and Tempura Prawns. Out of these menus, 2 are for mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks with dipping and sauces. "

"So can anyone advise me which one would be for mid-morning snacks, lunch, mid-afternoon snacks and dinner or we can skip mid-morning snacks and push it to supper instead?" I asked to test their imaginative ideas on which one would be best to go around.

Looking at the spread of ingredients before me, they decided that the lunch would be Cilantro Lime Chicken and dinner would be Braised Beef and Brocolli. As for mid-afternoon snacks, they would prefer it to be light and they picked the Tempura Prawns while supper would be Cheesy Ground Pork Tacos.

"That's pretty good. I like that. At least its quite balanced. Alright so for today, since we would be having Cilantro Lime Chicken, let me show you how to make Chicken Rice." and so all the interns watched me get the rice ready as I got someone to rinse and strained the rice.

Next, I got the interns to tie at least 20 screw pine leaves, 10 cloves of garlic to be blended, cinnamon, aniseed, some fat and sesame seed oil. After getting the ingredients, I got them to steam the chicken to get the extract and once the chicken is steamed, it was to dip in cold water to 'tighten' it up.

The rice that was rinsed and strained were placed in 2 large frying wok and 2 interns got to 'stir fry' the uncooked rice with the fat, sesame oil, garlic, cinnamon, aniseed and lastly the 10 screw pine leaves each. They were to fry the uncooked rice until it became a uniform yellowish colour and the water had dried off.

Once it was done, the frying wok was to be put away for the chicken to be steamed next.
The chicken was basically cut from the breast and I broke the spine and spread the chicken open. We used 25 fowl from the hunt last night and it was separated into 2 steamer basket. The extract was collected and I told them this is the water that needs to be steamed with the rice.

The rice in the frying wok was then placed into a large cauldron and it was filled with the chicken extract and salt was added, stirred and the water level should be measured by the number 2 mark on the middle finger, which is a notch away from the palm. I placed 30 eggs inside it and arranged them to be boiled together with the rice after it was properly washed to get rid of chicken shit and feathers. Hah hah hah. 

There was a taboo that I had learnt from my mom, which is to put some salt on top of the cauldron and when the rice was being cooked and looks nearly ready, use a knife to stab the rice all around the cauldron and command it to "cook, cook, cook,". 

Actually, it was to open up some spaces for the steam to rise. As for the salt, my mom said it was to feed the rocket stove genie. Even having a third eye would not even let me see the genie until now.

The smell of the rice indicates that it is ready soon and was already very enticing and I showed them how to test the rice by stirring and loosening it up and to take a small pinch out in the palm and eat from there. Never use a spoon to taste the food but use the spoon to pour a sample to test from the palm.

The halved and intact chicken was placed in a wire barbecue thingy and was told to roast it in the fire. I explained that one fowl would be good for 4 pax. The roasted chicken had some salt and pepper to sprinkle and turned over until its golden brown and place aside. 

Next would be the lemon extract and everyone learnt a new hack. I rolled the lemon on the countertop to soften and get the juices out first. Then when I halved it, the juices come out freely. I gave them a basket full of it and told them to do the same and extract the juices. 

The juices were mixed with honey, sesame oil, salt and pepper. I told them to spread this over the chicken when it was about to be served. Next would be the sides and the sides are salad leaves, sliced tomatoes and cucumber and steamed eggs that need to be sliced. 

I used a piece of thread and tie it on the counter and that is going to be used to slice the steamed egg. After putting all the sides around an oval serving plate I then made another sauce. It's a sweet and spicy sauce that is being made with chilli, garlic, shallots, ginger, vinegar, salt, sugar, sesame oil and thickener. 

All the raw ingredients were blended and were made to be boiled with vinegar with all the other stuff added inside. Water was being used to thin it abit and I told them that this sauce needs to be evaporated and becomes a thick sauce. The process takes from 1 to 2 hours time depending on how 'fierce' the fire from the rocket stove would be.

I took a high stool and sat and narrated them on how to prepare the mid-afternoon snack, dinner, as well as supper and they, took down the notes and from that notes, I would observe how fast their creativity and imaginative minds would work. 

"Culinary is an art, a passion as well as using one's creativity, whether to serve a single person or a 100 people in a buffet style. Just by looking at the ingredients and the name of the menu, you could use it to twist them around and create your own menus."

"This week you would be guided but the next you would have the ingredients before you and you need to brief me what you would be doing for lunch, mid-afternoon snacks, dinner and supper."

"One thing to remember is, recipes are there for a guideline. You would need to use your creativity and wildest imagination to create it and call it your own. Remember that, ok?"

The interns nodded and find that they had learnt something valuable in their path. When they heard the salary that they would be getting and also a 20% cut from there for my commission for 6 months, they didn't mind it at all because what they are getting is almost 2x to 3x the amount that was offered by some of the nobles.

It was almost lunchtime and 7 platters were set with the sides and it was time to pour the sweet-spicy sauce around the platter and arrange the roasted chicken in the centre and to bask the roasted chicken with the lemon juice. 

Each of the interns took the platter with the lemon roasted chicken and rice in the chafing dish. Each serving of rice would be shaped in a medium bowl before it was upturned on a plate. They saw how it was done and told me it was the first time they had seen this way.

Right at this moment, a loud voice sounded from outside, and the young man in a set of lavish blue robes made his way into the kitchen.
"Your Highness."
Everyone in the kitchen immediately extended respectful salutes toward Josh.
"This aroma!" Josh paid no heed to everyone else as he stared intently at Mag, who was wearing a pair of oven mitts as he pulled the grilled fish out of the oven. Josh's eyes narrowed as he exclaimed, "Is that fish?"
Mag smiled as he removed the lid from the pot that contained the braised chicken, allowing its delicious aroma to also waft through the air. "Yes, Your Highness. This is one of the dishes I'm preparing to cook during His Majesty's birthday banquet. The other two dishes are the black pepper steak and the braised chicken and rice."
The aromas of the steak, braised chicken, and grilled fish intermingled with each other, creating a captivating symphony for one's nose.
Josh had tasted countless delicacies cooked by the most exceptional chefs all over the continent, but he was still struck by the urge to salivate as he looked at those three dishes.
This was incredible to him.
No food had ever held such allure to him, but he could sense the yearning in the pit of his stomach, urging him to taste those dishes.
Josh nodded with a calm facade as he said, "The aroma is indeed quite extraordinary, but I'll need to taste it to see if they're actually as delicious as they smell."
"It may smell good, but that doesn't mean it tastes good. There's no way that such a spicy fish could be edible," Matthew murmured to himself. He had recovered his confidence and composure.
As a chef, he had an extensive knowledge of condiments, and using spices to mask the rank odor of fish certainly wasn't some kind of well-guarded secret. However, a good chef would never allow the flavor of the spices to overwhelm the main ingredient. Otherwise, the dish would be a complete failure.
The other chefs also nodded in agreement. Setting aside the black pepper steak and the braised chicken for now, the spicy grilled fish smelled extraordinarily alluring, yet they also suspected it to be a gimmick. It was very difficult to imagine just how many chili peppers would've had to have been used to create such a powerful aroma.
Mag didn't pay any heed to what the chefs were saying. Instead, he turned to Josh with a smile, and said, "Please take a seat outside, Your Highness; I'll bring out the dishes right away."
There was a small dining hall outside the kitchen for the chefs to use every day.
"Sure." Josh turned and made his way out of the kitchen.
Mag filled a bowl with braised chicken, and then filled another bowl with moonlight rice. Both bowls were placed onto a platter before he turned to a young student chef, and instructed, "Please bring this braised chicken and rice dish out to His Highness."
The student chef hesitated momentarily, but he still accepted the platter in the end before carefully carrying it out of the kitchen.
Mag then plated the steak and asked another student chef to carry it out into the dining hall. After doing all that, he carefully carried the spicy grilled fish on his own and made his way out of the kitchen.
"Let's see what His Highness has to say about these dishes," an elderly chef said as he led the way out of the kitchen.
"Let me see if that grilled fish is even edible." Matthew harrumphed as he also made his way out into the dining hall.
Aside from the student chefs who still had to prepare ingredients, everyone else filed into the dining hall outside as well. 
Mag placed the steaming spicy grilled fish on the table in front of Josh, then smiled, and said, "Your Highness, I suggest you have the braised chicken and rice first. The spicy grilled fish is quite strong in flavor, so it's best to taste that one last." 
Josh picked up a piece of chicken with his chopsticks. Everyone else in the dining hall was also staring at that portion of braised chicken.
The golden pieces of chicken were all completely even in size, without any imperfections or blemishes. The potatoes were soft, yet still maintained their structural integrity. The asparagus was crisp and green, while the different-colored bell peppers embellished the dish like works of art. The thick golden broth of the braised chicken was catching and reflecting the light, yet it didn't appear to be greasy in the slightest.
The entire dining hall was filled with the rich aroma of chicken and shiitake mushrooms, and one couldn't help but salivate just from looking at it.
The evenly sliced cubes of chicken had perfectly absorbed the flavor of the condiments and broth, and a piece of this delectable chicken was currently on its way into Josh's mouth.
The cube of chicken was enshrouded in delicious broth, and the incredible flavor instantly set Josh's taste buds alight, completely enthralling him in the process.
After biting through into the cube of chicken, he discovered that the texture of the meat was extremely tender, and the flavor of the condiments and shiitake mushrooms had completely seeped into the meat, elevating its flavor to a whole new level. Even after swallowing the mouthful of chicken, a fragrant aroma lingered in his mouth.
Josh's eyes had completely lit up, and he couldn't help but praise, "Both the flavor and texture are outstanding!"
He picked up a spoon with his left hand, and drank a spoonful of the broth. The flavors of the condiments and shiitake mushrooms were even more pronounced in the chicken, and as it slid down his throat, he felt as if every single pore all over its body had opened up; it was a warm and extremely comfortable feeling.
He then scooped up a spoonful of rice, and felt as if he were looking at a spoonful of translucent little moons that were exuding a faint fragrance. He placed the spoonful of rice into his mouth, and found that the texture was slightly chewy, while the flavor became even richer after biting into the miniature moons. Furthermore, the aroma was only becoming more delicious as he continued to chew.
A bite of chicken, a mouthful of rice, a spoonful of soup; the cycle repeated itself over and over again, and Josh simply couldn't stop eating!


In Chaos City on the Norland Continent, there is a strange restaurant.

Here, elves and dwarves share tables. Beastmen are prohibited from making a din, and giant dragons can only seat around the tiny square in front of the restaurant. Even demons have to bring their own stools…

But it is such a strange restaurant that has long lines outside every day.

Elves are stuffing kebabs, paying no mind to their manners; giant dragons are sitting around a hot pot, strainers in their hands; demons are eating nice-looking dango…

"There's no other place on this continent where you can find food like that! The boss here is a genius!" a customer provides such a review. Then, he gives a furtive look at the door. "Also, don't you think of kidnapping the boss away or dine-and-dashing, or you will suffer a tragic death."

"Eat, pay, or you will be beaten to death." says a cute little girl in her childish voice as she trots forward. A five-meter tall dragon shivers when it meets her eyes.

After Aera left, Ye-Jin was thrown back to the day when she had first befriended this girl. It was completely from Aera's side that the friendship had started.
Ye-Jin had been a fresher in her college along with Aera. Ye-Jin being an introvert stayed clear of people unless it was important. She had been taking art classes as a hobby. 
The college cultural hall had been transformed as an art class that year as there was a remodelling project going on. All different forms of art classes took place at the same place and they used to take two lessons simultaneously. 
As anyone can already guess Aera took dance classes and her lessons were taken along with Ye-Jin's art class. The overly cheerful girl had forced her friendship on Ye-Jin who had been sketching on her canvas letting her imagination to take hold of her. 
In the beginning, she had been polite but the girl had hanged around her so persistently that gradually she had grown used to her. 
Ye-Jin knew Aera wasn't the person to be trusted but she brushed her negative thoughts aside as not to hurt the girl. Whatever her demerits were, Aera had become a good companion to Ye-Jin. She tended to be selfish, hard-headed and cunning at times but that's what made her more precious to Ye-Jin. 
These days Aera worked as a backup dancer at the famous entertainment giant Wang. She had befriended the stars there and occasionally dragged a reluctant Ye-Jin to her workplace just to bore her to death. 
The first day she had felt like a chicken in the nest of snakes. The people she used to see only on TV were strolling around the huge building as if taking a stroll in the park- of course, it was normal for them. 
She almost had had a seizure when her favourite band had shown up in the studio.
She had been sitting on the benches on the sides staring absently at the dancers going through the same routine again and again. 
Aera had smirked at her murderous glare when the door had flung open. 
The five boys who came in bowed to everyone and everyone bowed back to them. Ye-Jin was paralyzed to the spot with eyes opened widely. 
IT WAS 5-EMPERORS!!!!
She had almost killed Aera that day for trying to murder her in cold blood and make her death seem like death by accident. 
The more she had visited the place the more relaxed she had felt. Aera being the social butterfly had already gotten to know her favourite band. Ye-Jin had been quite jealous about her but she didn't act upon it ever.

His father wanted him to take up his position and be the next patriarch of the family.

His family wanted him to be a responsible young man who'd lead the family to greater heights.

Some envious people wanted him to fail and become the scum of the earth.

His mother wanted him to be a filial son who would let her heart and mind rest at peace.

Burdened by all of it he ran away from 'home' in pursuit of 'something'

Then he found her and

She wanted him to be just him and love her with all his heart.

"You look absolutely stunning", Miguel compliments pulling out my chair for me to seat down.

"You don't look bad yourself", I compliment,he smiles.

"I try my best"

"Nice choice of restaurant, I love it".

He had booked a V.I.P area for us which was at the roof top of the restaurant. It had beautiful water fountains, a group violinists were playing their violins, there were scented candles on the table ,and we could literally see all of Manhattan,the lights and everything. This is the definition of classy, I always knew Miguel had some class to him.

"I'm glad you love it.",he says with a twinkle in his eyes.

"The view is amazing, I should come here often."

"With me ofcourse,"he says in a fit of laughter, I chuckle.

"No doubt about that."

"I'm starving,what would you like to eat?",he asks checking his menu. I opened my menu,all the cuisines and dishes here are pretty damn expensive.

I go through it,
"What's wrong ?",he probably saw the doubt on my face. 

"I brought you here to have dinner with me don't worry about the prices,bills on me."

"We'll split it , I don't feel comfortable with you paying for all of it. I insist"

"Okay then.what are you having?"

"I don't know",

"C'mon you've got to eat something, that's why it's a dinner. Just choose an appetizer,cus we are starting with that "

"Mhm" 

"There are native Indian dishes?",he suggests knowing that I'm from Indian decent.

"Yeah. Let me try something Mexican"

"Cause I'm half Mexican huh?"

"Is it that obvious?"I giggle.

     "I just want to try something new. How about Grilled chicken tostadas?",it's sounds yummy and besides chicken is never a wrong choice.

"What a splendid choice senorita, you'll love it promise."

"Hey-", he signals the waiter.

"Good evening Miss ,sir.  I'm Jonas and I'm at your service for the evening."

"Thank you. For my appetizer I'll be having Chicken enchilada nachos."

"You miss?"

"Grilled chicken tostadas"

"Cocktail? juice,drink ?"

"I'll have the grape cocktail."

"How about you miss?"

"Same,thank you"

He bows his head and leaves after taking our order.

"So Khloe what do you do for fun?"

"Uhm, I do a lot of things.", Apparently those were the first words I could blurt out ." But basically I write, I draw too and I love to design,dance."

"Oh that's pretty cool. Such an art person"

"Yeah,so how about you?,who are you asides being a doctor?"
He chuckles,"good question.so when I'm not saving lives I'm reading a book, cooking , playing tennis with the man dems, so that's that."

"Ouuu you cook that's nice, men need to know cooking is not a gender role but a survival skill"

"True",he says in a fit of laughter,"I live alone so that pretty much explains, I just whip something quick eat then go to work"

"Your order is ready"Jonas places out meal on the table.

"Thank you ",Miguel and I say in unison.

"The aroma is wow",he rubs his palms together in a comical way.

"Your such a character", I giggle at his funny act. "Why don't we dig in and find out if it's as good as it tastes"

"Good idea senorita".

I took a bite from my grilled chicken tostadas, I could swear this was a slice from heaven.

"Hmmmm, this is the shit",

"I know right, I'm so dinning her with my girl."

We eat,then later on our main meal was given to us,followed by desserts. Apparently it was a three course meal dinner.

"Thank you so much Miguel, I had fun tonight",
not only did eat something new and tasty,I also got to meet the comical side of Miguel.

"Anytime. You see ,I also used this opportunity to observe how you eat.
It's not bad at all. Just make sure you eat your three square meals-- and take the supliments prescribed for you."

"I will promise".

"So I'll drop you off?",

"No, I'll use a taxi thank you"

"It's late Khloe, I insist I drop you off ,I need to make sure you get to your residence safely."

I was having second thoughts about using the taxi. I would feel more at peace of he drove me to Durango's house.

"Okay, I just didn't want to stress you"

"It's no stress at all"

He drops me at Durango's, I come out from the car and he does also."Thank you so much for tonight Khloe, really made my day", he reaches out to peck my cheek, I stop him midway. He goes for a hug instead which I open my arms to.

"Thank you too, Goodnight"

"Goodnight senorita"
