Adam woke up with a killer hangover, missing digit, four strange cars in his parents' driveway and a box of stolen equipment delivered by three of his friends. And somehow all of this is supposed to be a part of a job interview?

Upon opening the door, through the glasses, Zhou Yu saw two beautiful and young animated girls waiting outside his yard. It was a shame that they didn't wear sailor uniforms, otherwise, he would have really felt like he had transmigrated into a Japanese school in the Japanese animes.

Uh… the brat could be ignored. But Zhou Yu still felt strange about this group of people. Normally, it would be some kids, who wanted to go swimming, waiting outside his house, or some old men playing chess under the tree outside his house. Maybe it was his lucky day today. He thought. However, what he said next was totally different than what he thought.

"What do you want?"

Although seeing two live animated girls made Zhou Yu slightly excited. But his reticent nature still didn't change. The unwelcoming words plus the indifferent tone instantly froze everyone outside the door.

'What did he just say?!'

Both girls had cruciform popping veins above their eyes. Fortunately, He Yuanyuan was a magnanimous person. So she did not keep that mind. "Nothing, I have heard that you made a small pretty pavilion, we just want to have a look. I hope that you would not mind," she said casually.

'Oh, so it is that,' Zhou Yu thought.

The Pavilion of Wind and Rain was next to the dried pond. At this moment, the old dragon king and the beaver were playing the chess over there. Since other people were not able to see him, and realizing that they were not here looking for him, Zhou Yu went back to his house to wash his face and brush his teeth.

Yesterday, when he was looking for other small beasts to capture, he encountered a damn Shaolin monkey, that wanted to compete Shaolin staff technique with him. And the result was that he was beaten brutely by a set of Bodhidharma's staff style. He even still felt the pains around his body at the moment.

Looking around in the yard, He Yuanyuan noticed that the yard looked dilapidated. It did not look like anyone was living here. However, the small pavilion was exactly like what Zhou Hao said, it was quite beautiful. It could be clearly seen, that the creator of the pavilion was very skilled in craftsmanship and had extraordinary patience that was beyond any ordinary people. Not only that, but there were also some other pretty pot plants in the yard, which had been trimmed into a variety of shapes. The unique artistic styles and the inventive themes that each pot plants wanted to portray could be easily seen at first glance.

She had to admit that Zhou Yu indeed had some skills. However, this was not supposed to be a young man's hobbies. Taking care of flowers and plants, crafting some handicrafts, etc… he made himself look like a retired old grandpa...

After chatting with Zhou Yu for a while, a question began to emerge. Her grandpa said that Zhou Yu had a mental problem, but from the conversation she had with Zhou Yu, he seemed quite well. There was no sign of mental illness at all.

However she did not want to arrive at the conclusion so fast,  he wanted to observe him for another few days...

After sending two girls away, Zhou Yu rubbed his cheeks. He felt like in just half a day, he had almost finished all the sentences that he would say in the whole year. Apart from the Eyes Of The ACG World, everything about him was wormed out by those two girls. He did not know who sent them to his house. He just guessed that it was probably his father. Otherwise, why would those two girls come to visit him?

Checking the time, it was time to go fishing. A group of kids had already gathered in his yard and waiting for their "lifeguard" to go to the river with them.

Mustn't disappoint them, let's go fishing.

For the entire week, He Yuanyuan and Zhou Shuyu would go to Zhou Yu's house if they had nothing else to do. Soon, they became Zhou Yu's regular visitors. In addition to continuing the task, that her grandfather had given her, there was nothing fun in the village. At least, there was a strange person - Zhou Yu, who they could chat with.

Because of them, Zhou Yu was only able to use the computer during the night time to upload some chapters. In terms of the rest of the time, his computer would be used by those two girls. Luckily, those unhealthy videos had already been deleted, so he did not need to worry that those two curious girls would find out something strange inside his computer.

After a week of interaction, He Yuanyuan thought that Zhou Yu did not have any mental problem. Apart from being really unsociable and aloof, it was not that difficult to talk to him. But he indeed had some strange behaviors some times.

The strange behavior No.1: he would go out fishing every day, but he definitely would not be able to catch any fish. He Yuanyuan had actually done an experiment on this. She, who did not have any fishing skill, also went fishing with Zhou Yu for a few times, although the harvest was not great, she still caught something. However, he, who went fishing every day, always could not catch anything. In a way, he was also quite good at not catching any fish.

The strange behavior No.2: he would often wander in the village during the day time, without any specific patterns. Sometimes, he would suddenly perform some strange acts. For example, he would suddenly start to run around the village; or clearly, he was alone, but it seemed like he was playing badminton with someone. It meant that he would behave like a regular person most of the time, but if he was irritated by something, it would trigger the psychosis. Normally, this type of person should be kept away from other people, because no one knew what would trigger his psychosis.

Maybe he knew that he had this kind of illness, that was why he wanted to move to the quiet village.

The more He Yuanyuan thought of it, the more she was satisfied with her own false reasoning.

Zhou Yu, who had been diagnosed with periodic psychosis, was currently busy catching the tenth small beast. He did not have any luck yesterday. The first small beast he had encountered yesterday day was a fire breathing dragon, that wanted to challenge him to a leg-based martial art competition. In the end, he was almost knocked out by the dragon's Lightning Kick, which was quite similar to Chun LI's Hundred Rending Legs.

'I wonder if there are any martial art training center around here. Otherwise, sooner or later, those small beasts will torture me to death. '

Comparing to yesterday, Zhou Yu was somewhat lucky today. Although he failed the first three times, none of them were the fighting competitions, so he was still able to carry on. And the small beast that he encountered at the moment, was The Programming Ape. Surprisingly, it challenged Zhou Yu to a Chinese calligraphy competition. It was just he did not know how to win the competition, since there was no referee here, and he also did not know what the evaluation standard was. If the standard was different than the real world, then he would definitely lose.

Luckily, the ACG world did not let him down this time, after The Programming Ape requested both parties to write the Chinese words "banana(香蕉)", the small beasts willingly turned into a card.

Finally, he had all ten cards now.

Zhou Yu, a reclusive otaku, who did not like to go out of his house, was one day forced out of his house by a series of unexpected events.

"HackersHaven? This site's famous for hackers to do assignments!" Ting lost his composure. HackersHaven had a special spot for people in the gaming industry and just about every other industry.

The reason why it had a special spot for these industries was that a few years back, this massive corporation called Falve got hacked. Huge sums of money were lost due to this incident. And of course, the cause was undoubtedly hackers from HackersHaven.

Hackers love HackersHaven because they are able to do the things they love while raking in all the money from the assignments they take. However some do usually get caught but that is their fault since they didn't notice that their IP address had been tracked and recorded. But people like these make up the minority.

However if you thought that all you needed to do was to sign up, then you're wrong. There was a catch, in order to sign up you actually had to hack the registration system to create yourself an account. This way the general public won't be able to sign up.

"So I need to create an account on HackersHaven, to do so I need to learn how to hack." Ting realized that this mission wasn't as easy as it sounds.

When Ting came back to his senses he remembered that he was still in the learning dimension. He noticed that Hua Zhao was still in the room so he was a bit embarrassed since he totally forgot about her.

"Ms. Zhao, do you teach any programming languages? If you do," Ting paused. " could you teach me? Ting asked with an expression like one would use to stare at a piece of gold on display.

The reason? It was, of course, to try and cheat the system so he wouldn't need to spend system credits.

"As a matter of fact, I do." Hua Zhao said with a demeanor of an educated woman. "But, obviously need to enroll into the course before I could teach you."

Ting's was obviously a little sad, but he could say he tried. If you don't try how would you know that it wouldn't work out. Just like asking out a girl you liked or if you are a girl, a boy out. If you don't take the first step someone might be ahead of you. If you're rejected then so be it, you've tried while some people regret that they didn't ask. Who knew how it would turn out.

Getting back on topic, Ting calculated the time that had passed on Earth was close to 16 hours. He did some math inside his head and he found that it was 5:15 PM. Ting was starving since he used quite a bit of mental power when he was concentrating on fixing the computers during the simulation. 

"Then I'll have to trouble you to teach me later," Ting said with a bit of a disappointed expression. But when he thought a bit about the fast food he was going to eat, he became a little more energized.

"Alright, I'll be waiting for you." Hua Zhao replied. Ting then chose to exit the learning dimension. His conscience slowly faded and he found himself back in his apartment. He left his apartment to go to a BurgerQueen.

After Ting had his meal, he arrived back to his apartment building. He chose to go back to the learning dimension. When he regained conscience he went up to the courses interface on the table. He quickly found the hacking course.

"I need to take the APLC course before the Computer Hacking course?" Ting thought for a moment, but he realized that hacking wasn't all that easy. To become a hacker one needed to know multiple programming languages or how would one hack a bank. 

A banks code is written in more than one programming language some banks even use six programming languages.

Ting took a look at the Intermediate APLC course and was surprised that it wasn't too cheap but he could afford it.

Ting didn't hesitate as he chose to enroll and afterward he pressed the confirm pop up. The system quickly sounded.

["Enrolment successful"]

"Hello Ting, we meet again." Hua Zhao greeted.

"Hi, let us start the course. I can't wait any longer" Ting said with slight anticipation.

"Alright, I got things on my side done. We will be working in cubicles. Since you enrolled in the course your meals will be on us." Hua Zhao informed him. A few moments later he found himself sitting in front of a desktop computer with a IDE (Independent Development Environment) already opened.

"Lets get started on Java." Hua Zhao said as the screen changed and Java had been selected. "In Java you need to declare your variables and if you ask for an integer you can't have a string put into it. Otherwise it will cause the program to create an error..."

Hua Zhao explained from the very basics as she continued educate Ting on Java. It took a few hours when he finished and Hua Zhao quickly began to teach him other programming languages. In the learning dimension it becomes very easy to learn things. Hence the name 'learning dimension'.

A couple of days had passed as Ting finally completed the course. Ting chocked his stats and noticed that in the [Skills Learnt] column, instead of the few programming languages he learned from high school and university, it was changed to All Programming Languages [Intermediate]. He also noticed a slight increase in his intelligence and typing speed.

The system sounded the moment he completed the course.

Ting was shocked. "A storage dimension? That means I could store stuff inside it and not worry about moving my stuff around." He quickly called up his storage dimension and found out that it was about 2 square meters.

Ting was in a joyful mood as it was unexpected that in addition to learning many programming languages he also has a way to move stuff around. 

Ting also didn't forget his mission; which was on creating an account on HackersHaven. He quickly went to the interface and enrolled into the hacking course.

His surroundings change to his room in his apartment but he knew that it wasn't his room  on earth but just a replica. There reason why was because there was now a desktop computer in front of him. On the monitor was a terminal which was used for hacking.

"Don't be surprised, we just want you to be in comfort of your home." Hua Zhao said as she slowly appeared out of thin air beside Ting. "Now take a seat and I can teach you the basics and start introducing more intermediate levels of hacking.

"First Rule: Never get caught, once you get caught and they traced your IP Address it's over. You will be spending the rest of your days in prison." Hua Zhao emphasized repeatedly.

"Second: Never use your real name, use an alias. You can create one right now" Hua Zhao spoke with a curious expression as to what Ting's alias would be.

"Uhh, how about Sum Ting Wong?" Ting joked. "I'll be serious now, I'll call myself Fr3ddyB3ar since I always grown up sleeping with a teddy bear since I was little."

"Alright remember to leave your alias after you hacked something or if you don't want to take the responsibility for it then don't." Hua Zhao told him.

After the basic rules and alias got out of the way. They started as Hua Zhao taught Ting more and more. After a while, he would be testing his newly gained knowledge in a simulated setting where he would be trying to hack into some banks or game servers and lots of other stuff.

After another few days, he completed the course. At first he kept on getting caught by the other sides internet security team. But after he got taught and gained more experience he became more proficient and most of the time he had gone unnoticed when he broke through the firewalls and infiltrated his targets.

"You've worked hard!" Hua Zhao said, "I expect great achievements from you."

"Thanks for teaching me, Ms. Zhao." Ting thanked her."

"No problem you paid after all." She said with a smile.

Ting was speechless could you say something other than money like it was all due to your ability or something. Ting returned to his apartment and taken out him new desktop and placed it on a desktop and plugged it in. He connected the monitor and booted it up.

He was instantly stunned. "How could the boot time be so fast!" He thought for a moment then realized that whatever the system gives him isn't ordinary such as his storage dimension. He quickly went through the setup steps and shortly arrived on the desktop screen.

He then downloaded a web browser and the essentials he learned from the computer hacking course. He opened up the HackersHaven website. After he finished getting all his tools ready he quickly started his attempt to create an HackersHaven account.

" Alright class, today we will discuss about Hackers. "
Our boring teacher said starting the class and also starting his lecture, while I started to loll over my seat's armchair and used my right hand as support for my lazy head.

Oh how I wish to have the power to control time, so that I could quicken the hours I'm wasting inside this wretched university. If a college degree wasn't necessary to find a decent job, I wouldn't be here right now.

I have better things to do than to stay inside this room and listen to a guy who just read words out loud from a projected power point presentation. You call this teaching? Pathetic.

" Which one of you can tell me what Hackers are? What do they do? "
Mr. Alfonso, our Advance Programming instructor asked looking around for someone foolish enough to fall for his trap. After a few seconds, one of my classmates raised his hand. He stood up after being called by our instructor.

" Hackers are people who uses computers to trespass and destroy, or steal unauthorized data from computer servers. "
My fellow classmate answered with an assured and confident look which made me let out a smirk, his answer was pretty shallow. That answer isn't enough for someone like Mr. Alfonso.

" Wrong answer, Mr. Vinieza. That will be a deduction of 5 points in the next quiz. "
Our instructor quickly said and smiled playfully. My classmate shook his head in disbelief as he sat down on his chair.

This is how strict and complicated Mr. Alfonso is. Even though your answer is somewhat correct, he will still consider it as incorrect. I've heard rumors about him that he doesn't take his job seriously as an IT instructor, and I'm starting to think that those rumors are true. One thing is certain though ..

He's one bipolar guy ..

" Hackers are personalities who invade local or foreign computer servers and either steal private information from it or destroy it completely, hackers finds weak spots on server's security systems so that they can trespass inside the server without getting caught. "
He corrected Mr. Vinieza's answer as he started walking around the classroom like any normal teacher would.

See? If you think about it, my classmate's answer was correct. Our instructor just elaborated his answer. Haha.

" Sir, isn't my answer correct? "
With disappointment written across his face, the mentioned student stood up again.

" If I said it's incorrect, it is not correct. Understand Mr. Vinieza? "
Our instructor coldly insisted as tension began to fill the classroom. He looks intimidating, but I know he becomes an incompetent fool once you beat him in reasoning. It's tested and proven. Hehe.

" Ye-yes sir. I'm sorry. "
My poor classmate apologized with his head down unable to face our instructor.

" As I was saying, there are two common types of hackers. The black hat and the white hat hackers, but there are ten types of hackers overall in the modern era. Types of hackers are distinguished by colored hats. "

White hatters are basically people who waste their skills in hacking to help insignificant people for money. What a shame ..

" Black hatters, on the other hand are also called crackers. Like mentioned earlier, they find weak spots in securities of unauthorized servers to attack it and either steal data or information, or to destroy it completely. Most black hatters are hackers who hack banks and important credit card information. "
I noticed that he became serious while talking about the black hat hackers. He is obviously emphasizing that black hatters are bad guys.

" So if you students dream of becoming a hacker one day, become a white hatter and help other people instead of becoming a virtual burglar. "
He added with authority in his words. It's kind of rare for him to give advice to his students.

Another classmate of mine stood up with enthusiasm, and talked like she can become a hacker if she wants to. Haha.

Dade Anlace, a son of an infamous hacker centers his life around the art of hacking. Due to the imprisonment of his father and her mother being long dead, he is forced to live alone as he starts a new semester on his third year in college.

The rising sun is the shape of hope of the gloomy sky.
 A calm noise of the engine stood alone inside the wagon as the train ran on its rails. Some passengers are sleeping on their seats while some are on their phones. I was different though. I'm standing in front of the cart window as the train makes its way to the next station. My eyes enjoy the view of the city landscape, tinted by an orange light of the early morning.
 I felt a vibration from my pockets. I opened my phone to see a text message from a friend, Allison, "Hey, Jeiro, where are you? The orientation is about to start. You better be here, dummy." I rolled my eyes.
 I shoved my phone back to my pocket as I continue to relax with the scenery.

 "There you are!" Allison nagged, "You missed the orientation! Stardelle's band performed and you missed it. You're such a loser." Kyle, another friend of mine, suddenly popped out behind this blonde. "Nobody really cares about that, Ally." Allison let out a 'hmph.'
 "I really won't be surprised if the two of you end up together," I said, before slurping a can of sprite. Allison was shocked in dismay, "Wha- you… I'm never going to date a guy like… like… that," she crossed her arms and turned her back on me. "Watch out, Ally. What you say can always turn around," Kyle winked. Allison rolled her eyes and stomped her feet away. The both of us followed.
 As we leave the entrance part of the University, our eyes was welcomed by such a view of the quadrangle. An open area filled with stalls and decorations, enclosed by a heightened 7-storey building that stretches out for miles. These decorations of different colors are to welcome us, freshmen.  "Hello, students of Stardelle!" A voice of a lady, whom I suppose to be the principal, greeted from the speakers throughout the campus, "Welcome, freshmen to our humble University." Humble yet this school is always a newspaper headliner. "First day of school is always an exciting yet pressuring day. To ease this pressure, I announce that all 1st year students can enjoy the booths of games and food in the quadrangles up until 12 in the afternoon. 2nd year students and above, please get to class."
 The students of the other year levels made an "Aww," hehehe how unfortunate, losers. The seniors went to their respective classrooms, leaving the field to us, the new ones. For some reasons, that made the area a bit more narrow.
 "Kyle! Let's go to the ducks!" Allison pointed at the booth with rubber ducks before pulling Kyle's sleeve. Wow, they really left me here. It wasn't too long before they we're out of my sight. Oh well, who needs 'em. I can entertain myself, thank you very much.
 I roamed around the area to look for something that would hopefully get my interest. Sadly, only one won that. "Um, is this booth about arts?" I asked. The facilitator nodded with a smile, "Yes, sir. For only a dollar, you'll be a contestant for a painting contest that we hold!" I tilted my head, "So where are my competitors?" I asked. "Over there," she pointed at the booth's side to reveal three people. Two men and a woman.
 "Okay then," The facilitator said, "Begin!"
 The objective was to emulate the object at the table, a flower vase, topped by a rose. Piece of cake. I grinned as I started to scribble my brush over the canvas. Little by little, I copied every detail I can see in the object. Lighting, shadows, shape, and textures. I glanced at my competitors to see struggling faces. Ha, losers.
 "Well, the time to vote has finally arrived!" The facilitator announced, excitedly, "Meet our judges," she pointed her finger to a table of two seniors and a professor. "Whoever wins this contest shall receive this big teddy bear!" I don't like that but I do like winning so, whatever.
 "Contestant No. 1, please show us your work," she said. Eventually, my time to show my work has arrived. "Contestant No. 3, please show yours." I turned my canvas around to see surprised faces from both judges and participants. You're welcome that your eyes are blessed today.
 Contestant number four turned her canvas to show her work. WAIT WHAT?! The judges were completely astonished and even gave a standing ovation. I stood to see what her canvas offered only to have my mouth agape. The details were perfect. The colors were blended smoothly. The lighting feels so real. How is this possible? How can someone be better than me?

 "You… WHAT?!" Allison shouted at the middle of the quadrangle, stirring up some attention. "Jeez, Allison, shh, calm down," I shushed her, "It doesn't matter, I didn't even wanted that teddy bear." I rolled my eyes. "But still, Jeiro," Kyle butted in, "It feels so unusual for you to lose an art contest. I mean… you are a three-streak champion in painting back at our old school."
 "You know what, forget it," I said. "No. You, losing an art contest, is not a thing. There must've been an error. I mean, you've been doing art for years. You even did art just to sustain yourself—." I cut Allison's sentence, "Don't bring that up." She shut her mouth up, mouthing a 'sorry' at me. "Like I said, let's forget this ever happened. Me, losing, is a sign that I should do better here in Stardelle."
 "That's Stardelle for you," Kyle muttered. "Excatly. So I'll do better in my art. Next contest, I will win for sure. The two of you better promise me that you'll improve yourselves as well. Allison, your cooking and Kyle, your computer programming."
 The two nodded in agreement. "Great. We made it to Stardelle and let's make ourselves not only students but also glorious students." The three of us paused… and then laughed. "Oh wow, this pep talk is what I missed! Come here you!" Allison opened up for a hug. The three of us embraced before looking for a booth that we can entertain ourselves with.

 Losing a contest meant deeply to the both of them, even for me, honestly. The fact that they we're sadder than me, despite that I was the one who lost, made me feel grateful to have them as friends. The three of us worked hard to get to where we are today, at Stardelle. We will do our best to shine amidst the sea of spotlights. Just like how the three of us used to be.
 The window pane showed a fantastic view of the illuminated buildings, drenched by the pouring light of the moon. The whooshing sound of the train was the only audio present at the moment and I found it calming. The moon shone elegantly as it reigned over the kingdom of stars in the black canvas of the sky. Just like the darkness of losing, I will win again just like how the sun will shine once more.
 I felt a tap on my shoulder
 I turned around to see another student who seemed familiar. He was smiling at me, his eyes were sparkling above his well bridged nose. His skin was snow and his lips were peachy pink, carved in the shape of a crescent. 
 He is so familiar.
 "Hi," he greeted, "do you remember me?"

"Oh right, maybe the System has something to do with it. I'll better check when I get home." Wei thought to himself. He chuckled as he thought how he will become just like the main characters of the novels he read.

"Are you sure you're alright? You might have broken something inside you." Tang Fei asked worryingly. Tang Fei the bartender was worried that if something happened while he was on shift he might get fired.

"I'm fine my arms are just sore from the fall. No need to send me to the hospital. If there's nothing else. I'll be going." Wei replied as he thought about what the Godly Hacker System is all about. Since his dream is to live a life so that his mother wouldn't worry about him all the time. Li wei walks out the glass door of the Duan Life Bar. He waved to a taxi and got in and told him his home address.

His single bedroom apartment solely being used as his home during his time at university. Since he was living alone he had a lot of freedom than if he shared a dorm with other students.

His apartment building was about 10 minutes drive by car and about a 30 minutes on foot.

10 minutes had passed as Wei arrived at his apartment building. He paid the taxi driver 15 yuan and got out of the taxi. He entered the apartment building which was pretty worn down. It was only 4 stories however his room was on the 2nd floor. The lobby of the building had a kind of unique smell. One that would often smell like flowers at times and garbage alternately. There was a receptionist sitting as always ready to greet the men and women she sees.

"Hey you're back really late. Did something happen?" Yao Chen said in a suspicious tone. Yao Chen turned 67 last September. She was very familiar will the tenants of the building.

"Women are really scary... it's like they can read people's minds." Wei thought as he replied in a nice manner. "Well, today I got expelled from my university sadly."

"Oh that's a bummer. And you're just started your second year there." Yao Chen frowned. She knew that Wei's Mom had saved up just enough money for Wei to go to a decent University. As she thought for a few moments she asked "So now that you've been expelled from university what are you planning on doing?"

Li wei thought for a while and he told her that he will be thinking about self-teaching himself programming languages, and probably get a temporary job somehow.

As he bid farewell to Yao Chen and walks toward the stairwell to get to the second floor. As he began to walk on the kinda beat-up red carpet. He observed the hallway as he doesn't look around or pay attention to details. However after he got expelled he began thinking differently. The feeling of not reaching his dreams and his goals was a slap in his face telling him that life isn't easy, but earned.

The hallways walls were a shade of grey. Simple and clean. Picture frames hanging on the wall showcasing the founders of the apartment. The building was 60 years old and approaching 61. The picture showed the founder and the construction team in front of the completed building. The building looked very magnificent and new. The bricks were a solid red colour compared to the now somewhat deformed bricks caused from continuous rainfall. The stairwell was quite old as every time he took a step there would be a quiet creak sound but since the stairwell was quite open the sound was amplified. His footsteps were echoing in the stairwell. As he reached the second floor, he was finding his room which was the room 37 each floor consists of 20 rooms so his room would be the furthest away from the stairs as the 17th room on the second floor is his. As he walked toward his room he found that it was unusually quiet. But as he remembered that it was almost 1am in the morning he thought it was quite normal since most people should be in bed and asleep.

"Ah, I really can't wait to find out about this Godly Hacker System!" He exclaimed inside his head.

As he took out his keys and unlocked his wooden door. After which he entered and sat down on his bed, as he started to check out his system that came out of nowhere. As he thought how to call the system out a voice sounded out that only he could hear.

"To call the system please just think of opening the systems main menu screen." Wei was dumbfounded he didn't think that the system would tell him how to use itself.

As he thought to open the systems main menu words with SHOP, MISSIONS, STATS, MODES, with greyed out options which he couldn't read.

Wei's goals of his life was to make his mother not worry about him. The other was to become a genius at computer programming. Wei thought about the STATS option and in the next second a detailed window showed up in front of him.

Wei was stunned. The System had actually listed all the programming languages that he had some knowledge about since he took computer science in high school. After he had checked out the Stats menu, he thought about clicking the back arrow on the lower right corner of the screen that was floating just a few feet in front of him.

Back at the main menu. He decided to select the SHOP option. The menu disappeared and a clean and slick window appeared. At the top left wrote "SHOP" in nice, big white letters. There was a type of currency at the top right. There was a filter option available. The items available in the shop ranged from computer parts he had never seen before. The computer parts looked like RAM but had no brand on it. The description said that it was a 4 GB 8000 MHz DDRX memory.

"NO WAY, the fastest RAM clock speed I've seen was 3400MHz!" Wei exclaimed out loud. He suddenly remembered that it was late at night, as he shut his mouth and calmed himself down.

The shop didn't just have 4GB RAM, but also goes beyond 128 GB RAM sticks. The shop had all kinds of futuristic parts including CPUs, cases, keyboards, mice, etc. The price of theses parts and utilities were very expensive. Just the 4GB RAM stick costs 3400 System Credits (SC). Wei closes the shop screen and checks out the Modes option. The modes screen showed up and there was only one option that was currently not greyed out. It was the "Learning Mode", the description of Learning mode was when Learning Mode is chosen. Host will be sent into a learning dimension where the time compared to the real world is 1.5 times slower. This means for every hour you spend in the learning dimension the time passed in the learning dimension would be 40 minutes. It could be upgrade so that it is 10 times so for every hour in the learning dimension/realm six minutes had passed.

"So that means that I could technically live longer than others if I stay in the learning dimension." Wei softly spoke. As he read on, he learned that the learning dimension has different kinds of courses he could take such as learning Java, and other languages. He could also learn to hack.

Wei was done taking a look at the modes as he felt very excited. He began to check out the Missions and then the main menu disappeared again and what reappeared was a list with missions he could take with rewards.

"Transportation Successful!" The System sounded. "Welcome to the Learning Dimension."

By her side was Wallace and Suzanne who were both taking a short trip to visit Wallace's grandparents while Lawrence decided to stay at home. They would be gone for around 2 days and were worried over Lawrence. While resting in her comforting embrace, Law couldn't help but think back on the past two years.
           Despite being only 10-years-old, Lawrence was already a university graduate, with degrees in Anatomy, Psychology, Engineering and Computer programming. He was able to get multiple degrees so quickly through the use of his library of heaven's path, and because he finally managed to break through into the Zifu stage in Soul.
            Surprisingly enough was that Suzanne seemed stuck in the Xiantian stage, and no matter what could not advance any further due to her body and soul rejecting the entry of any outside energy.
           By breaking into the Zifu stage in Soul, Lawrence gained access to a soul-powered version of telekinesis, 15 memory partitions, and a strengthening soul sight. His Telekinesis was so far maxed at a strength of around 5 tons, but the number would only increase with his soul strength. His memory partitions allowed him to both cultivate, strengthen his soul and study at the same time. But the most important benefit of breaking into the Zifu stage in Soul was his improved soul sight. Now instead of just seeing the general characteristics and actions that people have taken, he could with enough concentration view their lives as if it was a movie. The only flaw in this ability being that he currently couldn't sustain the use of it beyond viewing a few years of one person's life.
           Moving on, he hadn't only focused his time on studying and increasing his strength, he had also finished reading through and compiling a few techniques. The most important ones relating to his mind, and illusions.

The invasion of another's mind depends on the user's strength and the strength of the person the user is trying to invade.

           Although he could not use the techniques until he reached the Xiantian realm in body and ki cultivation, they would be necessary as soon as he did.
           Other than these two techniques, Law had also learned a variety of different runic clusters. He couldn't yet compile a technique for runic arrays and clusters, but he did find a couple that he desperately needed so that he could cultivate in peace. Thus, to his room he added, time dilation, spatial isolation, presence concealment, and strengthening runes. His cultivation wouldn't allow for formations or talismans, but by using the energy from his ring, he could in essence power the runic arrays in his room forever.

           He quickly made sure that the door was locked before running upstairs and entering his room.
           'Today is the day where I'm going to break through to the Xiantian Realm' Law thought happily. He could have broken through a few months ago, but because he couldn't just isolate himself from his family for a few days, he was forced to wait.
           He quickly got to pushing his furniture and packing away his books. Law didn't want to break his bed again, because his punishment the first time was enough. After clearing out the middle of his room, he began powering the runic arrays which he had meticulously carved into the floor and walls of his room. No one ever noticed because it was usually hidden by his piles of clothes and books that covered every inch of his residence.
           He waited for a few minutes before the room flashed with light signaling that he arrays had worked. Now instead of 2 days without his parents, he would have a week to breakthrough.
           'Hopefully, that is going to be long enough' Law thought while sitting cross-legged in the center of his room and beginning his cultivation.

When Wang Xiaodong finished the last step, he opened the data package and looked at Lu Zhou, "The iterative calculation program is completed. The coordinates for the far and close side of the moon, the speed, and the direction of Chang'e 3 are calculated. I'll send it to your email?" 
Lu Zhou, who was writing, did not even lift his head, "Just send it to my QQ."
Wang Xiaodong, "Okay, what's next?"
"… The satellite orbit around the moon and the satellite landing trajectory geometry data and parameters are all here. You'll have to do the plotting," replied Lu Zhou. He threw the fully written A4 at Wang Xiaodong's desk and began his next calculation.

It was nine o'clock at night when Lin Yuxiang yawned and went back to the dorm. Wang Xiaodong went back at around ten o'clock. As he was the main force for tomorrow, he had to get a good night's rest. 
At this point, other than Lu Zhou, there were only a few people left in the computer room. 
The genius mathematics student Luo Rundong was also there with Liu Rui.

By the time the sun started to shine through the window, Lu Zhou finally finished writing the last line of calculations. 
When Wang Xiaodong opened the computer room door and walked in, he asked, "Finished?"
"Finished…" said Lu Zhou. He sighed in relief before saying, "The basic modeling is completed. The rest is programming, plotting, and sensitivity analysis by observing changes in the simulation. When you're done, I'll start writing the thesis."
Wang Xiaodong nodded his head and said, "I got this. Go and rest."
"Okay."
Lu Zhou pinched his eyebrows, shook his head, and stood up before he walked out of the computer room. 
Compared to his all-nighters during the summer, this was nothing. 
Lu Zhou could not remember how he got back to the dorms. He just remembered that he opened the door and without even taking his clothes off, he went to sleep. 
When he woke up, it was already dusk. 
Lu Zhou sat up in bed and rubbed his messy hair as he took out his phone from his pocket to take a look at the time.
He recalled that he got back to the dorm around six in the morning.
"I slept for twelve hours…"
The next time he could sleep would be after the competition. 
Lu Zhou went to the bathroom and cleaned himself up before heading toward the computer room. 
When he arrived at the computer room, Wang Xiaodong was already writing the last line of the program.
Lin Yuxiang was away but she had brought food. The food was still hot. She probably left recently.
Lu Zhou opened the plastic bag and was about to grab a pair of chopsticks when he saw a piece of paper in the bag. 
He slowly unfolded the paper.

Lu Zhou crunched the paper and threw it in the rubbish bin before opening the disposable chopsticks to begin eating. 
When he finished eating his dinner, he went to the bathroom and along the way, he threw the takeaway box away. 
When he came back, Wang Xiaodong pushed his glasses. He stood up and started talking, "I've already finished writing the program. The code I've used for the three questions have been sent to your QQ. I'll come back at three in the morning. You'll have to do the thesis."
"Ok, set an alarm. Don't forget."
"I know," said Wang Xiaodong as he nodded his head and left. 
Lu Zhou was the last relay runner. He sat in front of the computer and stretched.
It was seven o'clock at night and they still had 37 hours till the thesis submission time. 
Within the next 37 hours, he had to summarize all of the calculation processes, modeling ideas, procedures, and answers to the three questions, all into a 20-30 page thesis. 
No matter how exquisite the model or how ingenious the program, the judges would only judge by the thesis presentation. If the thesis could not be understood by the judges, then there was no hope for the prize. 
Therefore, this last step could not be done sloppily!
Lu Zhou went into his working mode and he had completely forgotten about the time. His attention was entirely concentrated on the computer screen and his typing and thinking were operating at the speed of light. 
The abstract and keywords had to be written in one page according to format requirements. Lu Zhou edited his abstract and even then, he barely made the cut. 
No one knew his model thought process better than him. Therefore, this stage was easy to do. 
The next was the cumbersome process of proof and reasoning. This was the main part of the entire thesis. Although it did not take up too much space, it was the most time-consuming part to complete. 
The main reason was that not only did it involve mathematical modeling ideas, it also involved programming. 
Lu Zhou was comfortable with mathematics but he needed to communicate with the coder for the program part. 
Time slowly past by and the sun fell down and rose again. Once again, it shined across the horizon.
When the night was over, Lu Zhou had finished the last part of the question answering section. 
He stretched and started at the thesis with his sleepy eyes before yawning as he started to talk to himself. 
"… Next up is the reference and appendix. Finally, it's almost done."

For the final step, Lu Zhou copied Wang Xiaodong's code into the appendix.
Wang Xiaodong stood behind Lu Zhou. As he pushed his glasses, he looked at the texts on the screen and asked, "Finished?"
"Yeah, all finished. Help me check for errors. If there are no errors, convert it to PDF format," said Lu Zhou while standing up from his chair. He shook his groggy brain and said, "I'm going to sleep. I'll delegate the md5 hash check and uploading work to you." 
"Go rest," said Wang Xiaodong. He paused for a second before saying with a concerned voice, "Be careful on the road. Don't trip."
"Ok," said Lu Zhou as he nodded his head before he walked out of the computer room. 


After suffering from a heat stroke while working under the scorching heat of summer, Lu Zhou, a hardworking but poor university student, somehow becomes the owner of an advanced technological system. With the cheat given by the system, his university life changes overnight. 
  
A Master's degree? Easy. 
  
PhD? Not a problem.   
  
From a nobody, he quickly becomes a huge celebrity in the world of science. With the missions given by the system, he is on his way to winning a Nobel Prize.   

"System, can points be exchanged for money?"
  
"No."
  
"F**k, what use are you then!?"
  
"This system will make you the ultimate scholar, the kind that lords over all of humanity. What use will money be to you?"

It was the 3rd month of Tanatswa's unemployment and things weren't looking up for him. He had surfed the web for companies that would put to use his programming skills, even submitting his CV to businesses that didn't seem like they would need an IT person, but alas, his efforts were met with no responses and harsh berating from his mother. He had been called lazy even though he dedicated the entire day to emailing more than 300 companies. Things were tough but his parental figure's scolding didn't make it easier. Some people got jobs through nepotism, knowing who is who in the market, and the fact that' that piece of networking advantage was lacking in his arsenal of talents, made him feel seriously fucked. 



Even when he did get replies and went for interviews, it almost always seemed as if for some reason, he didn't meet their requirements. Tanatswa took his time to learn more web development frameworks and useful tools like Angular.js, Bootstrap and even advanced forms of PHP. He believed that he could impress a potential employer if he closed the gap of knowledge he had concerning things he needed to know as a developer. The growth was ever so slightly an improvement that made him more competent and capable of handling much more complex software projects, but alas, even that effort didn't pay off. This was undoubtedly a dark time for this young man's life.

 

During this period of his life, Tanatswa tried to find outlets to make money, even returning to the skill sets he had given up on to pursue his education. Though, if was being completely honest with himself, he had barely made it through university. He graduated with a 3rd class degree and finally cleared his tuition debt. He wasn't one to keep debts and liked to owe no one anything, but realized that most of the business tycoons he had read about didn't pay their taxes and owed a lot of money to the government. This made him consider whether or not he felt good about being a debt free person who is also broke and unemployed. The thought would make him feel like shit and he would avert his mind onto other matters, matters like getting back to drawing his comic and entering it for an online contest or pursuing a youtube channel that never really experienced any growth. 



Tanatswa had liked art and also partly chose a computer science program because of his interest in game design and the marvelous art that was accompanied with video games. His art skills were rusty but he knew that with a little effort he could get back into it and level up in the skill chain. Apart from farming the coding knowledge on the internet, he would now dedicate his time to improving his gaming skills and killing time with anime youtubers. This was rather a pathetic lifestyle as compared to the expectations that society expected from someone like him.  

 

Tanatswa went through a gradual slump in his life, but was neither an overt trouble maker and got along with most people, exhibiting manners and respect towards people of all walks in life. However, this wasn't always the case for people who he found annoying or deemed insufferable. The pool of friends that this young man had was small and even he didn't believe that he had anyone he would classify to be his best friend. Whenever he felt depressed or wanted to have a discussion about a show he liked, he didn't have anyone to really indulge him in an interesting conversation. Even if he couldn't do it face to face with someone, the online options weren't always to his liking. Going on forums or even the discord servers to find someone like minded was as tasking as getting a job. 



Sometimes the fun people were there, but their appearance was rare and having to filter through the trolls, memers and the perverts who could not get into intellectual discussions peeved him a lot. He eventually got frustrated and barely used any of those platforms. Facebook, twitter and even Instagram got boring for him. Even youtube slowly began to lose its sparkle. Shows that seemed to have their shine became repetitive and he no longer saw any value in consuming their content. This would propel him to search for other content creators, but when he would find their stuff, after a while he would get bored. The young man felt bewildered by this gradual decline in interest and worried about his mood swings.

 

After a while, Tanatswa had two websites up, one as a web application and another as just a normal site. He thought that maybe due to a lack of a portfolio that maybe he had been side lined from job opportunities because of that and decided to send a link of his work included to his attached CV. This happened at the same time as he was about to finish drawing his comic which he was going to submit to a contest. He was thinking that if things were not going to work out on this Japanese site he would take his material to either webtoons or tapastic. He was now in his 5th month of unemployment and he really wanted his efforts to pay off. As he expected, the inclusion of his finished works made a difference and he got called for just 2 interviews. However, this didn't go as he expected.

 

At interview number one, the tall 6 feet tall, ebony skinned, skinny Tanatswa, came in to an office that was at the outskirts of town. He was well dressed, and looked super dashing in his light grey suit, beige shirt and black tie, accompanied with crimson shoes. He didn't have the broad shoulders to finesse his appearance but at least the tailor had made a suit that matched his body type. He walked into the building that looked more like a home that was being repurposed to be a working environment. There the young man went through the process of telling the secretary that he had an appointment with the head of IT there. The woman on the desk who had a nice face but a body that was in desperate need of exercise, made a phone call. Tanatswa waited and darted his eyes everywhere. 



The place looked kind of interesting and there were a lot of certification frames placed all over the wall and as always, the picture of the president of the country was on the wall. The place looked homely, but eventually, Tanatswa's time for his face to face with his potential employer was about to begin. A stocky man who was light skinned, wearing a striped shirt and black trousseaus called for him. Tanatswa followed the man's lead and meet him in his office. There Tanatswa was grilled about his intentions for working at the company, and the shock of his life came from when he got to see how his 2 websites looked on the man's device. The employer had a Mac desktop and its screen dimensions were extremely wide and everything he worked looked different on it. Some of the icons were off and looked like shit.



 Tanatswa opted for the man to check how the website looked on his phone and laptop, lucky for him, the man gave it a shot despite getting an immediate negative impression from the desktop orientation of his websites on his Mac. The websites looked fine on the other devices, but the fact that he had missed one mark had messed his chances. Finally they gave him an aptitude test to see whether or not he could demonstrate real coding capabilities. 



Tanatswa was given a website that was done by some company that wanted it revamped, but the source code seemed like an abomination. It was well commented but it was clearly a template that was reworked by some tasteless developer who left a mess. It was chore to go through and even more of a struggle to find all ids and classes used for everything. Going through the mess took a while and soon enough, his time limit was over. The end result was that they would assess his performance and give him a call. A week passed and he never got a call and the other interview he went for turned out to be a disaster. This was only the beginning to a perpetual list of misfortunes.

 

After Tanatswa had submitted his comic and got his results after 2 months of waiting, he had mixed feelings about the results. The judges essentially stated that he had the best story out of all the contests but his art was in the lower bracket of their score. Due to this uneven scoring, he didn't place really high in the ranking but he got an honourable mention. This was the first time he was acknowledged for his talents by an organisation and he felt a bit happy, but this wasn't really the result he desired. If he had won, he would have claimed the prize money and moved out to pursue his comic as a published author serializing in their magazine, but even if that did not happen, at least he got consolation that he had writing talent. Tanatswa began to dabble into art tutorials online at the same time doing chores for his mom, who seemed to only escalate he indignation towards the unemployed youth. 



Tanatswa's goals had shifted and he now wanted to become a comic artist instead of dedicating his time towards finding employment where employers didn't seem to want him. This change in what he wanted to pursue fuelled him with fire and he practiced stuff like foreshortening, figure drawing and complex angles of dynamic poses. Sometimes the drawings would come out well, but for the most part it was a struggle. Tanatswa began to wonder whether or not he would ever get as good as the artists he idolized and wondered whether or not he should team up with someone really talented to draw in his stead, however, the young man wanted to make this happen through his own merit. He finally entered another contest but this time, he was unlucky.

 

With the popularity of the prior contest a behemoth of pro artists were attracted to the upcoming one and entered it. His art had improved and his story was plausible but compared to the elite talent that had joined in, his work paled in comparison. Deep down inside he envied them and wished these pro god tier artists would have entered something else so that the rookies could get a chance to shine, but nevertheless, his final chance was taken from him and he was left depressed. Tanatswa thought about the webtoon and tapastic options but the only way to make it on their platforms was to have a consistent release schedule of work and also to become a featured artist on their platform. Featured artists would get paid plus with the promotion from their site, a creator could leverage the traffic drawn to them by opting for a *******, but it took him forever to get even one issue out and his mother seemed tired of supporting a bum like him. Thus he would have to be sent to the village and subsist on farm life or live with his poor uncle in the worst possible part of the country. 



The gamble had not paid off and he was unemployed, a failed comic artist and a failed developer. Eventually, drawing itself became a painful experience. The young man turned to porn, masturbating 3 or even 5 times a day, sometimes he would go on those dating websites which he knew were a waste of time because 95% of the user base were men and the supposed sexy women who wanted to get laid were actually bots posing as actual people. This morbid catharsis made him laugh inside but also made him feel like shit. He was 23 years old and feeling like a loser, but he always made a point of hiding that side of him. Tanatswa never liked wallowing in misery and showing the world that he is sad. Whenever he had the chance, he would always dress up and get fancy hair cuts that made him look cool and dashing, hiding his broke appearance, but that was it, it was all just an appearance. He pretended to be okay, dressed up nice and faked a smile, but was really dealing with depression. He reflected on his life and even began to associate his lack of success as to why he never really had luck with women. He had never gotten laid and he was already 23 years old. 



The closest thing to anything sexual he had gotten were lap dances and really arousing grinding from women who probably had to sit on top of at least 40 random crotches of men in a night. This was mainly a means to deal with his sexual frustration, but at those clubs that he did go to, even married men or guys who had girlfriends would get lap dances, grabbing women's asses and doing unholy things with them that they wouldn't even consider with their significant other.


 Tanatswa believed that he wouldn't have had to come to such a place if he had a girlfriend and probably wouldn't even do it for fear of being unfaithful, but seeing all the alpha males getting lap dances, fucking side hoes at the same time having a girlfriend or wife,  gave him a slight paradigm shift. Being a decent human being didn't matter; all he needed was power, fortune and luck! It became clear to him that he was competing in this world at a handicap and needed a boost. However nothing relieved him from his suffering.


A full year had passed and he was now destined to continue his existence at either his uncle's decrepit living hell hole or at the village to become a farm boy. Tanatswa no longer enjoyed drawing, programming, watching television or even waking up. He got interested for a while in music production, exhausting more than a 100 tutorials and even made a few decent bangers, but then after  some research he realized how cut throat it would be for him to even make it in that scene. At that point he was just throwing darts into the air and hoping that something would just stick. He was wasting time, caught in morbid thoughts and drowning himself in some doom and funeral metal to wallow in his misery. The music gig didn't work out, even the acting gig he tried bombed badly. Everything seemed hard and all he was good at was failing. 




Tanatswa sat on his bed and cursed, "Fuck the world, fuck it, fuck it all!" He looked at the ceiling and darted to the left side of his bed which had a pile of tissues that were covered in the semen of his 6 masturbation sessions. It dawned at him that he was nothing but a piece of shit human being and that he wanted to die.  After all he had done throughout his life he had decided that there was one thing he had to succeed at doing. Ending his life!

A young man struggles with unemployment, failed dreams and overall becoming a useless member in society and decides to kill himself. Upon seeking this method of death, he encounters a being from the alternative realm who gives him an option of starting his life over from scratch, from level 1 on his planet. This gives him the chance to finally carve out a path for himself that he could never do on earth.
