The dealer turned to Anna:

“You must match the bet, or you’ll lose automatically.”

Anna hesitated, glancing at her dwindling pile of chips. She was out of money. The murmurs of the spectators grew louder. Finally, the dealer offered her a way out:

“You can play on credit, but if you lose, you’ll have to pay it back—with interest… or face more serious consequences.”

Anna swallowed hard. She knew continuing was a massive risk, especially since exhaustion was creeping up on her. But Leo’s words echoed in her mind, urging her to keep going. She looked at the dealer and, with unwavering determination, declared:
