Capítulo 40: It's Changing

The boy with silver hair and blue eyes stepped forward with a confident smile and declared,

"I'll go first." Without another word, he started counting. "One... two... three!"

Everyone, including Paul and David, jumped back in large strides, trying to get as far away from the center as possible.

However, Anna reacted a bit late, still processing the sudden change in the situation, and wasn't able to move as far back as the others.

When the boy finished counting, everyone stood still, waiting.

"Alright," said the boy, his eyes landing on Anna with a slight smile.

For a moment, she thought he was going to come after her, but after a brief pause, he shifted his attention to Paul, who was much farther away.

With two giant strides, the boy was practically beside him, surprising Anna with how fast he moved.
