"Do you need some coffee?"
"No, I'm fine."
Director Zhao refused the coffee, CEO Xu offered and sat down in front of her. His meeting with CEO Xu was his last job for today. 
Director Zhao would go straight to his home and sleep after that. He was afraid that drinking coffee would hinder his sweet sleep. 
Actually, he should have already left work an hour ago but his meeting with the CEO came abruptly.
"So, you agreed on it, despite there being a huge risk involved."
"Yeah, he wanted to do it. Although there is a high chance of failure, just the benefits of the success was enough to ignore it."
The meeting was about Ren and the Starlights. CEO Xu wanted to see the report about their new song together.
She also wanted to warn Director Zhao about the various risks in it.
"You aren't getting too over confident because of Ren's continuous success, right?"
"No, I'm not. It's just that I have a plan to make it succeed and we are not looking for profit or popularity here. We are looking to create a new trend- the trend of rock music."
Ren already has sufficient popularity for now and there was no need to think much about the profit currently. 
What Director Zhao wanted was to create a splash in the music industry.
"I can understand what you are saying but doing it with a popular overseas band would be better."
"We can do that but if we are targeting the Chinese audience, then it won't work."
CEO Xu raised her eyebrow with a curious expression. Her expression was saying that she wanted to listen to the reason behind his words.
"Currently, there are no famous bands in China. Most of the popular bands have already dissolved or the members have retired."
The current rock scene in China was highly underrated and almost all the popular bands were indie bands.
They have a small and specific audience and not even one of them is mainstream. Those who tried to go mainstream had already failed, no matter how many times they tried.
"So, you are saying that you need a young band, full of vitality and freshness."
"Yeah. If we succeed, then there will be a new trend of rock bands and Top star entertainment can lead that trend."
When girl groups started to become the new trend, many agencies had invested millions of dollars in it. 
The current top three agencies in China- Phoenix entertainment, Hongdae entertainment and RG entertainment were the ones to start this wave and they were still riding on it.
Top star entertainment was just a couple steps behind them but compared to the profits of the three of them, it had not gained much.
The girl group Silverhart of Phoenix entertainment was the first girl group to emerge successful in this trend and the current news was that they were now making their US debut soon.
CEO Xu still can't sleep when she thinks about that.
"If we succeed, then we can become the next big agency in China but the question is the same? Will we succeed?"
She asked Director Zhao with a blank expression. 
"Yeah, we will. There were many reasons behind my confidence?"
"What reasons?"
"First of all, most of the agencies are trying to focus on the US market currently."
CEO Xu nodded when she heard that. It was an open secret in the entertainment industry. Many agencies were eyeing the US market currently. 
Even Top star entertainment was planning on sending Lumous to the US, but they were holding back because Lumous was a new girl group.
They were not sure if Lumous would be able to handle the pressure of the US market.
"We can use this opportunity to make a new trend in China when most of the agencies are focusing on the overseas market."
"So, in a way, we would be backstabbing the other agencies. The other agencies can try to hinder our progress."
"It's not like we are going against them. If we succeeded, then the other agencies would try to debut their own bands, instead of fighting them."
CEO Xu nodded when she heard that. She agreed with what Director Zhao was trying to say.
Business was all about realising the opportunities and making it work in their favour. Director Zhao just wanted to make full use of this opportunity. 
When the other agencies would focus on the US market, they will try to make a mark on the Chinese market.
It was a simple strategy but there were still some questions in CEO Xu's mind.
"So, how will we do it?"
Director Zhao smiled when he heard that and began to explain.
"I have heard the guided version of the song. It just needs some polishing from a producer and it will be good to go."
"How will we release it?"
"We will go through digital single sales. If we advertised it by saying that Ren will be releasing his debut single with an unknown rock band, then it will surely garner interest."
People would obviously be curious about who the rock band is and why Ren was releasing a single with a rock band, when he could do it with a girl group.
These questions would make it a more trending topic.
"Yeah, it can make an impact but will it make that much impact that it could even create a new trend?"
"That would depend on how much we promote this topic and I want to release it during the time «Slayers» starts to air."
CEO Xu's smile became a smirk when she heard that. Director Zhao had thoroughly thought of the plan and the details were accurate.
"We will be using the momentum of «Slayers» to make a bigger impact."
"Yeah. I have already written all these things in the report I have submitted to the. You should look through them."
CEO Xu began to look through the report Director Zhao had submitted. It was a detailed report and there were even possibilities of success and failure written in it. 
Words like 'A concert tour' and 'targeting a specific age group' attracted her attention, but CEO Xu felt like something was missing.
'We are trying to make an impact which can change the whole industry. Will one song be enough for it?'
CEO Xu had major doubts about it.
Just a single song was not enough to make that much of an impact. They needed something bigger than just one song.
But the risk of an album was too big. One that she can't bear to take.
She contemplated what she could do about it and after a while, she finally opened her mouth to speak.
"I don't think a single song will be enough."
"Then, what will we do? Making an album would take too much time and we only have 2-3 months before «Slayers» starts to release."
"Let's go with a mini album."
A mini album was usually a small album with 4-5 songs in it.
Rather than taking risks with a full fledged album, a mini album was better.
"We have to look for songs for it then."
CEO Xu shook her head and replied.
"You don't have to look for songs from outside. We are going for a mini album based on rock songs. We have to look for genuine rock songs."
"Do, do you mean that Starlights should make the other songs?"
"We need pure rock songs to succeed this time."


Ren, he was someone with great talent in acting and singing but due to bad luck and some wrong choices, he was only able to become a third rate actor.

Any model dreams of signing his or her's first modelling contract. Whether it is a small agency or an international one, every agency has their own unique contract. It may differ from agency to agency. There are various types of contracts. A mother agency contract. An exclusive contract. A non-exclusive contract. 
A Mother agency contract is mostly favoured by small to medium tiered agencies. Such agencies promote their models to bigger, international agencies. The cut they take from the job is included in the cut the bigger agency deducts from the model's  earnings. So the model doesn't have to pay extra. 
An exclusive contract when signed, the model cannot sign with other agencies or find his own work. But the resources given by the agency are the best. The promotion given to such a model is something that can only be dreamt by a non-exclusive contract model.
A non-exclusive contract is just the opposite of an exclusive contract. 
       Logan and Jenkins were seated at the table, with a contract from Starlight Fashion agency in front of them. Starlight Fashion agency was a mid tiered agency, hence the contract given was a mother agency contract. 
       According to the contract,the agency would promote Logan to higher markets with considerable resources. The contract was for a period of 4 years. The agency will get Logan atleast 10 gigs a year, from which agency will get a commission of 10%. The commission of 10% will be inclusive of the mother agency and other agencies they promote Logan to. The contract included a non disclosure agreement and also included behaviour clause. According to this clause, Logan had to maintain his image in public and not do or say anything to defame or harm the agency's perception in public. What was surprising was that, the agency had included a signing bonus of two thousand dollars. This was a rare thing for such a novice model. Ofcourse the contract also included the one month training period. 
Everything about the contract was satisfactory to Logan. There were no ambiguous sentences nor anything that seemed odd. The only thing that bothered Logan, was the time period of the contract. After checking everything Logan and Jenkins arrived in the Amanda's office. The office had a pleasant and peaceful ambience. Behind a mahogany table, sat Amanda going through some documents. She greeted them both and said:" Is the contract to your liking Logan? I think the agency has been quite generous towards you."
"For a newbie like me, this is quite a satisfactory contract Amanda. I am fortunate to have been scouted by you."
Jenkins said,"Amanda, we like the contract overall. The only problem is the contract period. We would like to have it changed to 2 years. Also my client will be starting school next year. So the agency must adjust his job accordingly. Other than that we have no objections."
Amanda had been in plenty of contract negotiations and had seen plenty of worthy models  so she understood Logan's though process. She knew Logan would soar high in to the sky.
She gave it a thought and said," I already know that Logan would be starting school next year, so you don't have worry about his schedule. That will be under my supervision. As for the time period, we'll change it it to 2 years but the commission will be raised to 15%. How about that?"
Jenkins looked at Logan to whom Logan gave a nod. 
"We have a deal then."
Logan stood up and shook Amanda's hand saying," Let's have a healthy relationship going forward"
Just for safety, Logan had already taken photos of the contract and sent it to his father to find if there were any hidden legal bindings. His father had already given him the green light. Logan signed the contract and then shook Amanda's hand, which had been captured on the phone camera by Jenkins. This was to fulfil his mother's desire  to capture every small important events. Logan rolled his eyes at the thought of how his mom had nagged about taking a picture at the advertisement contract signing. She had sternly said that this was his first ad contract so he had to capture the moment. He had thought, that was the end of it until this morning when she said this was the first modelling contract so he had to save this moment too. He had no reply to this. Instant K.O. He obviously felt warmth inside. This motherly love would never smother him. 
After the contract was signed, Jenkins dropped Logan at his home. They would be starting the training after the New Year's Eve. He had decided that he would be uploading another original song on his YouTube  channel tonight. His mum had prepared a good meal to celebrate his signing. She was happy that her son was moving ahead in his life and doing what he loved the most. Ofcourse Logan had gotten Mia's favourite ice-cream on the way back home. She was currently in Logan's embrace chirping how Logan was the best brother in the world and that he should always be bringing her such things . For a 8 year old, she was quite adept to flattery. 
After the meal, Logan uploaded his original, 'The Rise'. This was an inspirational song about how one should rise above one's failure. He had written this song in his previous life. Failures had become very common  to him. He strived hard without any good results. This song was written back then. This was one of the five songs he had obtained the copyrights to. 
An hour into uploading the video, he already had 500,000 views. Comments had started rolling in.
Logan had quite a following now on his social media accounts. He had some really loyal followers. He had followed them back. They were his first fans. He knew a few of them who always supported his songs.
Kaylasmith45, treadstone23, laylasimmons24, jaredsmith64, etc etc. Logan now knew these were his loyal fans.
Kaylasmith45- he is so gorgeous that I want to cry.

laylasimmons24- this song is so inspiring. I am studying for my bar exams. I'll be listening to this whenever I feel depressed.

Treadstone23- this song shows making of a new star. His songs are so unique. Mark my words the name Knight is going resound in the music industry.

Logan was so happy that he decided to upload another song from his past life. He always felt happy after reading comments on his songs. He had loved this next  song in his past life. It had been quite popular then. He hoped that he could do justice to it.

Author’s note- this story was inspired by Jay Aslan story. I really loved that story. So the beginning may seem similar though I tried to not make it similar. But as the story progresses it would be different that I promise you. 
I chose  the concept of good family because have there not been enough bad families. The whole story will be a positive vibes story with some negatives to make it interesting.

Feng Xinying headed for Xie Yuansheng's office. It was already lunchtime. When she reached the company, the guards bowed at her respectfully and then one of them took her to a private elevator. "Miss Xinying, you have to use this elevator from now on." 
Feng Xinying noticed that the elevator was a private one and had only two buttons, one that led to Xie Yuansheng's office floor and the other was ground floor. She smiled and stepped inside. She pressed the office floor's button and waited for the elevator to reach there. She noticed that the elevator had a lovely song that played when it went up. It was a beautiful love song:

Feng Xinying couldn't help grinning at Xie Yuansheng's choice of songs. When she reached the door opened with a ping and she stepped out. While walking towards his room, she stopped in her tracks. She looked at her desk. She was getting dressed to come there in the morning, instead things have drastically changed in a matter of few hours. Where was life taking her? She wondered as she looked around the office. When will she be able to come back over there? Her gaze stopped at Yun Chen who was talking to a girl in her cubicle. She had mellowed down a lot. She would only be interested in her work. After the data breach from her computer her computer had been seized and she was forced to stay without one for a day. She was given a new computer, which was now on twenty four hours vigil. 
Feng Xinying walked to Xie Yuansheng's office. She opened the door and saw him sitting on the sofa with lunch laid out in front of him. "That took you long after entering the office premise," he remarked. 
"You keep a watch on me? Mr. CEO this is not right. Tsk tsk." 
"I will keep a watch on whomever I like," he said, as he moved to where Feng Xinying had sat down and kissed her. "How was your day?"
Feng Xinying narrated the incidents and then at the end said, "I am ashamed that Ru Shishi is my stepsister. She is just too crude." 
"Xinying, you have to understand that she has been deprived of a good education, a good background. Perhaps that is why she is like that. However, there is one thing – she is too ambitious and dangerous. Just steer clear of her. You are her target for the rest of your life unfortunately," said Xie Yuansheng as he had a bite of prawns from Feng Xinying's plate. 
Feng Xinying pursed her lips and somewhere inside her heart got tugged for Ru Shishi. She had been deprived of good upbringing… 
Xie Yuansheng noticed her sadness immediately and said, "However, it is possible that after my aunt tells her about all the money she has in inheritance, she may subdue. So, don't worry, it's just a matter of few days and she will mellow down." 
Feng Xinying immediately cheered up. At least her sister will have some share of their father's money. After lunch, Feng Xinying decided to finish off the work at her desk and wind it up. However, Zhou Ah Ming called. He wanted to meet her. Since it was still lunchtime, she called him to Xie Yuansheng's office. 
Zhou Ah Ming looked tired. He had been in jail for one night and hadn't gone to his home but he was still doing his job with dedication. "Madam, I have got the script for the movie. I have heard that Lu Dao is very keen on starting the movie as soon as possible. However, since the movie is set in historical era, you will have to undergo training in martial arts." 
Xie Yuansheng was listening to Zhou Ah Ming and said, "Fine, we can hire a trainer. Who is the best in the industry, let me know?" 
"Sir, I have a suggestion. Although I am Miss Xinying's secretary, and I will take good care of her, but if she wants good professional jobs, then she should consider hiring an agency."
"Why?" asked Feng Xinying. "You have a lot of experience in the industry."
"Yes, I do but my experience is limited to male actors. Honestly most directors and producers go to the agencies to find the actors or actresses for their movies or shows. Plus these agencies are also in constant touch with people who organize shows and we need you to participate in those shows, talent hunts and other things to increase your popularity. 
"I am going to be there as your secretary and will find an agency who would accept me too. But we must consider this option seriously."
"Umm… I don't know anything about movies Zhou Ah Ming. What do you say Feng Xinying?" asked Xie Yuansheng wondering about the idea. 
"Well, as a model, I had to be associated with an agency, which was absolutely necessary. This is the same agency which Keira worked for. I was lucky to get Keira as my manager. So yes, it is really beneficial." 
"Well then what are you waiting for?" said Xie Yuansheng. "You better get her the best agency." 
"Yes sir, I will," said Zhou Ah Ming and got up from there to take his leave. He really wanted to go home to meet his family. 
Meanwhile when Ru Shishi reached home, she saw Xie Weihui sitting in the living room and chatting with Wu Bosun. Wu Bosun looked at her as she entered, his eyes were beaming with a glint of excitement. 
"Ru Shishi, your mother is here."
Xie Weihui looked back from where she was sitting. She got up from her place and went to hug her. "My child, how are you? Sorry to have come so late." 
Ru Shishi noticed her suitcase from the corner of her eye and asked, "Did they throw you out of the house?" 
"No, no, my dear. I came from there."

Residing in the emerald colored glass clad seventy story tower were many entities of the United States Government. Calling these halls home were Agencies with vastly different and far ranging missions. One floor belonged solely to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. On lower floors could be found offices of the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Human Services. As you rose higher in the tower, the Agencies found grew in prestige and importance.

Calling the sixty third floor home, a recently arrived team of Foreign Service officers of the State Department could be found. Unlike consular officers found in embassies on Earth, these six men and women belonged to a very important and often overlooked portion of America's diplomatic corp. The Bureau of Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs is an element of the State Department charged with promoting economic security at home and abroad. Balancing economic prosperity with national security, the EBBA is the nexus where international economic policy tools, trading trends, and import/export need converge. Accomplishing its mission through a system of Total Economic Engagement, the EBBA analyzes and employs all of the economic engagement tools of the U.S. Government.

Under the guise of the Pan Galactic Trade Exchange, the EBBA found itself teamed with an Agency it rarely interacted with but in this instance was essential to the overall mission goals. The Strategic Materials Division of the Defense Logistics Agency is a government entity many have done business with unknowingly. Tasked with providing safe, secure, and environmentally sound stewardship for strategic and critical materials in the National Defense Stockpile, the SMD stores commodities with a market value in the tens of billions of Dollars.

Commodities range from base metals such as cobalt, chromium, and zinc to precious metals such as iridium, platinum, and palladium. No private sector company on Earth maintains and sells such a wide range of commodities and materials. Historically, the SMD has operated as an international commodities broker for strategic and critical material for the U.S. Government, to meet national security requirements. SMD's reason for being is the stockpiling of strategic and critical materials in the interest of national defense to preclude dangerous or costly dependence on foreign sources of supply in times of national emergency. Recently added to their charter of materials required for stockpiling were those not found on Earth; naquadah, naqaudria, trinium, and neutronium.

Housed together in the Pan Galactic Trade Exchange, these two government entities would work hand in hand to fulfill this task while also opening access to the many items commercially available from the industries of the United States and Earth as a whole. The SMD would fix a target acquisition goal for the newly added commodities, while EBBA would set the price point and serve as the point of contact for the world offering these metals and minerals in trade. EBBA would also be the final authority for establishing value of any technology another race might seek to offer in trade.

The Pan Galactic Trade Exchange would not operate on modern economic practices normally found on Earth at the governmental level. The problem lay in the fact that while the economies of Earth were extremely well developed with easily used national currencies, the vast majority of worlds in the Milky Way and Pegasus had no recognizable equivalent. Instead, the PGTE would operate as a barter exchange, acting as both broker and bank wherein each participating world or government would have an account that is debited when purchases are made, and credited when sales are transacted. Compared to one to one bartering, concerns over unequal exchanges are reduced in a barter exchange.

The barter exchange would benefit companies and countries that see a mutual benefit in exchanging goods rather than cash. It also would enable those lacking hard currency to obtain goods and services. Barter in name only, the Exchange would employ a need driven price point to goods, and in return issue a credit in the form of US Dollars for items purchased. With the US Government acting as middle man, these Dollars would then be used to purchase approved materials requested by the foreign government or people. As an example, if Bedrosian's offered one thousand pounds of naquadah in trade and the current market rate of this material was set at twenty five thousand dollars per pound, the Bedrosian's account would be credited twenty five million Dollars minus a one percent transaction fee. The credit in this account could then be used to purchase medical supplies, farm equipment, etc.

Once the transaction was concluded between the foreign government or people, they would take delivery of the items purchased with their account credits while the US government would take possession of the material or technology. The government would then resell the material on the commercial market on Earth for profit, with the proceeds going into government coffers. One modifier in place for the exchange was a system of tariffs. Depending on the relations enjoyed between the US government and the foreign entity, the offer price for materials could be lowered by these tariffs or increased. Big business had come to the Milky Way.

Despite the Exchange's recent creation, transactions were already pending. The Kelownan government of Langara was eager to offer naqaudria for sale, in the hopes of purchasing jet engine technology from Earth. From Hebridan, equipment necessary for rebuilding the world shattered by he Ori incursion was sought in exchange for an assortment of wanted minerals. SG teams with Foreign Service officers in tow were even now informing the galaxy of the Exchange's existence, and of the opportunity to do business with the Tauri. In a relatively short time, the Exchange personnel would find themselves some of the most sought out people in the city.

Elsewhere in the city, Camille Wray sat behind her desk. Moments earlier at her request, Elizabeth Weir had arrived. Pleasantries were exchanged, and daily status reports from around the city were gone discussed. Running a city of this size took a large amount of administrative oversight, and the two women made it a point to always remain ahead of the curve on happenings within their command. During the conversation, Weir couldn't help but notice the constant smile on Camille's face. Finally, she reached the point where she could no longer resist finding out what the bought of happiness was about.

"Are you just going to grin to yourself all day, or would you care to clue me in?" Weir asked with a smile.

"It's not official until I have the paperwork in hand, but I have it on good authority that the paperwork should be here in the next diplomatic bag from Earth. Congratulations are in order." Camille hinted.

"What are we talking about?" Weir asked, perplexed as to the subject.

"It's rare that your government rewards the hard work we put in out in the universe. Elizabeth, one of those rare times is here." Camille replied.

"Camille, I honestly have no clue what you mean." Weir protested.

"I forwarded on a memo about your desire to actually give your people recognition and a home of your own to General O'Neill. He took that memo to President Hayes. It's my pleasure to inform you that the President has signed off on that request." Camille beamed.

"He did what?" Weir asked, somewhat shocked.

"You are to be recognized as the leader of the replicator race, and full diplomatic ties are to be extended. You are also being given a home world that your society can call their own." Camille replied.

"One of the planets given to Earth by the Jaffa?" Weir asked.

"Much closer to home than that. Using the exogenesis terraforming device, Mars is to be transformed into a habitable world. The materials necessary to build a capital city will also be provided to your people. The five thousand human form replicators currently on Earth will be transported to Mars. Elizabeth, this is your President saying thank you for all of the sacrifices you've made for your country." Camille stated proudly.

"I'm speechless! Who will help you run this city?" Weir asked.

"We'll figure something out when the time comes. Don't think about that right now. Instead, go give the good news to your people. When the paperwork arrives, I'll bring it to you. Go on, get out of here!" Camille ordered with a smile.

Across the city in the new shipyard, Doctor Nicholas Rush eagerly guided someone he deeply respected around. Freshly arrived from Earth and newly able to make full use of his body after years in a wheelchair, Sir Stephen Hawking took in the sights before him. As the mysteries of the galaxy were explained, Rush conveyed his utmost respect to the man beside him. Making their way through the shipyard towards the docked Copernicus class ship Hawking, the two men passed five new Copernicus class vessels now taking shape. "But why would Ash have himself attacked?" KJ questioned. "And why then? He had so many chances to attack me during our performances and yet he didn't. So why would he stage an attack during a performance which he knows I was not present in?"
"To distract us," Hyun Jung suggested. "Or to keep the blame away from himself. That way, he wouldn't be suspected. It did work since none of us ever suspected his motives even though he used to be an escort for Madam Lim."
But KJ was still not fully convinced. It seemed a little too impulsive. If Ash had really wanted to hurt someone, then why did he save Dasom that night from the falling spotlight?
"No," KJ frowned. "This girl was acting on someone else's orders. This does not seem like something Ash would plan. His attacks are more secretive. This sort of direct attack is not his style."
"But we have to keep an eye on this girl," Somi said. "She's in deep with the Cartel. I'm sure she isn't a mere trainee."
"What did you dig up on her?" Hyun Jung asked.
"Well…"
She took out some documents which Shelley had handed to her. "Jang Nida," she stated. "Born in 1996. She had been a trainee since 2006 but changed many agencies. Strangely, all the agencies she joined were owned by members of the Cartel."
"Did she work for Madam Lim or Madam Hong by any chance?" KJ asked.
"No, she didn't," Somi stated. 
"What about her parents?"
"There isn't anything on them," Somi said, flicking through the pages. "But it seems like she cut them off from her life as soon as she turned sixteen."
KJ leaned back, deep in thought. This girl had been working with Ash for many years and was a pawn in his battle against KJ. But Ash was betting too high. He knew about KJ's monstrous popularity and was aware that with the new press publicity around him, rookie groups would not stand a chance against him. 
So why was he so hell bent on using a completely new group against KJ?
"There's something amiss," KJ concluded. "This girl group is only a cover. He's planning something really big."
"But what?" Hyun Jung asked. "Why is he betting everything on this group's debut? It doesn't make any sense. What's going on in his head?"
KJ was at a loss too. What was going on in Ash's head? Why was he doing all this? And for what?
"Whatever he's planning, we'll have to be prepared," he said firmly. "We've underestimated him for a long time. He's lurking out there, waiting to strike." 
I'll take you down, Ash, he vowed. Their enmity was now personal. KJ would have forgiven Ash for his betrayal had he not hurt Mirae. That man had destroyed her once but KJ would not let him harm her again. He knew very well that Ash would attempt to kill him someday but KJ had no intention to die. He would stay by Mirae's side. Forever.

Mirae was pacing back and forth, impatiently waiting for KJ. It was almost 11 PM and he still had not returned. He sent her a text, saying that he was at an important meeting with Somi regarding his PR activities for the upcoming comeback but Mirae was too excited. She felt the urge to call him up and tell him the news but something like this needed to be done face to face.
As soon as she reached home that evening, she had Sejong take out the old photo albums from the storage. She never saw KJ's father nor any of KJ's childhood pictures which is why she could not identify the baby in Sunye's locket.
But it was him. It was definitely him. And the woman in the picture was KJ's mother, Song Sia. Mirae reflected upon the irony of their fates. KJ's sister was alive and well all this time. Moreover, she was in front of them all this time. Mirae could not wait to tell him the news.
"Come home soon please," she prayed out loud. Within a few minutes, she heard the doorbell ring. Without any hesitation, Mirae rushed downstairs, pulling the door open.
KJ was surprised by his wife's eagerness. She looked out of breath as if she had run all the way from their room.
"Mirae, what's wrong-" he began to ask but she grabbed his hand and pulled him with her. She was leading him towards her car.
"Where are we going?" KJ asked her but she would not say anything. There was something strange about her behavior. 
"Get in," she said, pointing at her Porsche. 
"What-"
"Just get in!"
Mirae was too excited. She did not want to waste another time. Someone was waiting for him.
Baffled by her behavior, KJ got into the passenger seat. Mirae got into the driver's seat and started the engine.
"Where are we going?" he asked.
"You'll see," Mirae replied, starting the engine.
His wife was driving like a maniac. KJ had to hold on for dear life as she sped past the vehicles at lightning speed, honking loudly at pedestrians. He even suspected she nearly missed some jaywalkers but she did not care.
"Mirae are you alright?" he asked, feeling concerned. But her lips were sealed and she kept on speeding ahead until she reached an apartment building.
"Come with me," she ordered him. KJ, still confused by her behavior, followed her into the building. They got into the elevator and pressed 5, silently riding towards the fifth floor. As soon as the doors opened, Mirae firmly held his hand.
"I want you to meet someone," she said with a small smile. 
"Who?"
She shook her head and slowly led him out of the elevator. They walked almost to the end of the corridor before stopping in front of one of the units. Mirae rang the bell.
The door opened as if in a slow motion to reveal Han Sunye. Her eyes were red, as if she had been crying. But Sunye kept her front, not daring to fall weak. KJ was puzzled at the ladies. Why were they there?
"KJ," Mirae started. "I want you to meet someone."
"I already know Ms. Sunye," KJ frowned but Mirae shook her head. 
"KJ," she said. "Sunye is your sister."

With these thoughts in his heads Leonard was unable to sleep. He was thinking of Harriet... He was thinking if he had done the right thing...where his heart wanted to give one chance to love but his brain denied this.








On the other hand, the allied agencies secret base.




10-15 people were sitting around a round table and a picture of a girl was shown on the projector screen.




"According to our investigation, this girl is related to agency and maybe is working in the investigation team of Harry's accident. She has found evidences against us."






"Kill her." The Eagle said as he smoked his cigarette.




"Its not that easy...Though we haven't found out who handles the agency in Mr. Harry's absence but she might have information related to it."






"Hmm...Get her unharmed here..." He said.




"Yes sir." The man said.

The next morning.




Leonard got ready without thinking about what happened last night and went to agency.
As Leonard started working, after 2 or 3 hours he remembered that he had to ask about the investigation case from Harriet.






"Leena? Can you ask Ms. Harriet to come in my office?" Leonard asked his secretary




"Sir, I found that Ms. Harriet has not come to the agency yet."


"Oh...well ok. Tell her to come meet me when she does come."




For a second, Leonard thought if she was in danger but after analysing for a bit more he thought that maybe she has some reason to come late...






Harriet didn't come in agency until the lunchtime so now Leonard just called her but her phone was unreachable. After dialing her number a several times Leonard called at her home.




"Hello?" Leonard said.


"Hello." Harriet's father received the phone.


"Uh, is Harriet at home?" Leonard asked.


"No, she has left for her work in the morning. May I know who this is?" Harriet's father asked.


"Just a colleague..." Leonard said and hung up the phone.




Leonard was now in a bit tension that if she didn't come to agency and is not in home either so where could she go? After thinking for a while he rung at the police station.


"Hello, I am Leonard."


"Yes, Mr. Leonard? How can I help you?" The investigation officer asked.


"Is Harriet there?" Leonard asked.


"Ms. Jones? No, she didn't come to police station today."




"Oh...ok thank you." Leonard said and hung up the phone.




Now Leonard got worried as Harriet was not in any of the places he was expecting. Leonard gathered his special team which he would use when he needed to search someone.






"Sir, we are sorry but we cannot find Ms. Harriet." The team's leader said.




Leonard scratched his forehead and let the guy go. Leonard was getting worried where could she be...it was almost 5:00pm and there still was no clue of Harriet.

In an unknown place.




"Leave me! You have caught the wrong person! I don't even know what you people are talking about!!" Harriet said as she struggled from the chair she was tied to.




"Stop lying woman, we know you are related to WOSDA." A man said.




"How many times do I need to say that I am not related to that agency?" Harriet asked.




"Then what this ID of WOSDA agency is doing in your bag. Now don't say you got a twin sister who works in this agency and you didn't know about this." The other man who searched her purse said.


Now Harriet knew that her lying wouldn't work.


"Good boys! Now you two can leave. I will handle this lady." The Eagle said as he entered.




"Yes sir!" The boys said together and left the room.


As soon as the boys left The Eagle came closer to Harriet and asked "Look Harriet dear,  You will go unharmed from here if you tell me who handles the agency in the absence of Harry."


Hearing this Harriet got worried. She didn't wanted Leonard to get hurt at all.


"I won't tell you!" She said.


"You do know you are in our territory and can get harmed, right?" He asked.


"I'd rather like to get killed than tell you about our agency!" She said.


"Ay..who said I am going to kill you? I have other ways to harm you sweety." He said as he  slid her hands between her legs




"Stop it!" Harriet said.




"Hmm..Sensitive there, huh?" The man asked


"Shut up!" Harriet


Harriet was so frustrated right now. She wanted to beat this guy up but her hands were tied...her hands could be untied but how could she risk Leonard's life for that? For her she would rather suffer than tell this bastard about the agency.
