I'm writing this for myself if I somehow lost my memory about ~ 
one day. 
She is very pretty, smart, kind and likes dogs , someone I can ~ver
forget, not just because I made
 a promise with her, but also because I also made a promise ~ 
myself too...

Pfft is this my diary? The handwriting looks like mine but the words doesn't sound like what I would write..

The first time she visited me and saw Ken, she paid all her ~ 
on Ken and don't even bother 
looking for me. I was a little upset that Ken had way more ~ 
than me, so I shot Ken a 'go away' 
look and he understood instantly. Maybe that's the first time ~ 
started wanting to be closer than 
classmates, for I actually ate beyond my limit just to eat with ~ 
who came without  having lunch. I 
even cooked for her and forget about the loneliness I felt at ~ 
when I spent time with her. 
Although she made me had a stomachache the next day, it ~ 
worth it just to feel that bit of 
warmth at home again, even if its just for a short while. I thou~ 
at that moment that maybe I am
 the only one that would think that the things we shared are ~, 
till the time we played truth and 
 dare. At first, I thought she hates me for she made me tell ~ 
"I love your hair" although I really detest it. It's not even the ~ 
time she made me do such things..
She said that she had a secret - she have a curse with ~ 
and when she gets too close to one
 ,he will just forget about the memories they had together ~ 
become a stranger. You'd probably
 not believe her curse for I did not believe it either when ~ 
said it. It was only when I acted like I 
was cursed with her curse and saw her crying ( for thinking ~ 
her curse caused her to lose me) did 
I realised that what I thought was one-sided, was actually ~. 
We both cherished our 
times together and don't wanna lose each other so she made ~ 
promised not to forget her, which 
is sorta the reason for this diary to exist. I will also help her to ~ 
this curse if possible, if not, just live with her curse.

Oh wow..I actually wrote that..

Initially, Devon was uncertain if the diary was his until the diary mentioned Ken. Ken was quite precious to Devon so if that girl knows Ken, it means that she must have held an important place in his heart for him to be willing to share Ken with her. 

But I can't believe I was so stupid! I actually got jealous of my dog, gave myself a stomachache just to eat with her. Wha! If we're close, why did I not trust her and put on an act instead? 

However, the last word of every line was too blurry to be read. Seeing how thin the ends of the paper are, Devon deduced that a certain transparent liquid was in contact with the last words of every line. 

However, why only the last words of every line? 
Did someone do this on purpose? 
What was the transparent liquid?
How did that happen?
Who did that?

As Devon gets a new clue, instead of helping him regain his memory, he grew even more confused with more questions bubbling in his head.

Ah forget it! The more I think of this the more brain cells I'll kill. I've already committed murder, a serious crime! At least, I can stop mass-murder. Great, I'm a saint!

Ahh be serious, Devon! Yes, I should put the diary aside and gather my clues..
so before my splitting headache, someone was definitely here and is rather close for we shared a meal together. 

But.. do friends turn your house upside down despite knowing that the owner is a tidy person? Even if its just a guest, that's still quite rude.. 
This person..is he/she a friend or foe?

As for the diary..
the diary looks like a confession for a girl. So it seems like I liked this girl so much that I became an idiot.. 
haiz...too bad the diary didn't mention who is she, even if I did write her name, it'd probably became too blurry to read due to the mysterious colourless liquid at each word that is placed near the edge of the paper.

This.. why did I dare Lyn to say this? Is Lyn really a lunatic?
Omg! If she really is, then it makes sense that she is the person that came to my house and messed up my house! 

But if she isn't..then who?

Argh whatever it is, Lyn is my desk mate and we did many pair work together. She should know something about me or the girl that I like..right?
Although Devon was uncertain if he got her number, he still tried his luck by typing 'Lyn' in contacts.

Characters in this novel can really forget or pretend to forget about events. Just who's lying and who's telling the truth? You never know. However, one thing's for sure - Lyn have a curse with guys. When she gets too close to one, the guy will suddenly forget everything about her during the moments that they grow close. However, thats not all..?

Ice Blue Knight King wanted to find out what had happened. He knew someone inside the Ice Blue Knights had assisted Night River King; otherwise, the Rebate wouldn't have been able to sneak onto Planet Ice Blue. But there was no evidence to implicate anyone, and as for Edward, nothing could be done at the moment.
Han Sen and his team were put on call at the base. They wouldn't have to do any wilderness clean-up for a while.

"That stupid Night River King! He used an Ancient Warrior Statue, and he still couldn't kill a few Marquises!" said an Ice Blue Knight who looked ill.
"Night River King wasn't very smart, but he wasn't stupid, either. There must have been a good reason for him to lose so dramatically," Edward said flatly. "It looks like Han Sen poses a graver threat than I first assumed."
The Ice Blue Knight frowned. "What do we do now? Ice Blue Knight King is on high alert. It will be harder for us to move. If they find the tablet, then all our work will have been for naught."
Edward shook his head. "Don't be such a negative Nancy. We've learned that Han Sen didn't give the item to Ice Blue Knight King or Mister White, at least. Even if he did find the tablet, we still have a chance to claim it."

Han Sen was playing with the items he had taken from Night River King. The most valuable trinkets were the two Moon Wheel Blades. They were a good pair of weapons for a King to wield.
Han Sen didn't need them because he already had his Ghost Teeth Knife, but he was in no rush to sell them. So, he decided to save them for Han Yan.
Little Angel, Zero, and Han Meng'er had their own weapons. They didn't need an extra pair of knives.
Night River King had also been carrying a King class shield. Sadly, he hadn't gotten to make use of it.
Those were the only King class treasures that Night River King had with him. Perhaps he was poor, or maybe he just didn't like carrying his riches around on assassination missions.
The few Duke treasures and materials that Han Sen found were already in storage. Han Sen was going to save them for himself and use them to top up his Duke gene tally.
There was one more thing that caught Han Sen's attention, though, and it wasn't a treasure.
Among the things he had stolen from Night River King, he found a box that was around the size of a hand. It drew Han Sen's attention because the box itself had been made from a King class gene.
The material seemed to be horn or antler, and it was unusually hard. But instead of being turned into a treasure itself, it had merely been used as a storage container.
Strangely, there was nothing precious inside the box. There was only a simple diary.
Han Sen opened the diary, and indeed, it was exactly what it appeared to be. The diary recorded everything Night River King had going on, even the unimportant details of his days.
Han Sen couldn't believe someone like Night River King would write entries in a diary each and every day.
It didn't make much sense for the man to place a mere diary inside such a precious box.
Because of this, Han Sen assumed that the diary must be special in some way. He used his Dongxuan Aura and the Purple-Eye Butterfly, but the outcome was disappointing.
It really was just a diary. The Purple-Eye let him see how it was created, and the production was average. It didn't even come with a bookmark. It had been made from materials that were extremely common in the geno universe. Even the brand that made it was well known. Many people used their products.
"If the diary is really just a dairy, maybe its contents harbor a secret?" Han Sen had difficulty believing that Night River King would write entries in his diary every day for no special reason.
Han Sen skimmed through the contents, but there was nothing interesting. He started to doubt his own judgment.
"Was Night River King really a very sensitive man? Is that why he wrote in his diary each day?" Han Sen put down the diary and looked into the box.
The box was simple. It was made from a King class xenogeneic's material, and it had no secrets or hidden compartments. It was very plain, not even decorated with any symbols.
"Brother-in-law, is that a diary that you're reading? Is that what you've been doing all day?" Ji Qing approached and smiled at him.
"Mhm. I found it in Night River King's possessions. I think there must be something important inside, but I can't find anything," Han Sen said.
"Let me see. Maybe I can spot something," Ji Qing said.
Han Sen handed it over. Ji Qing examined the paper and binding briefly, then turned her attention to the content of the entries. A while later, she said, "If I'm not mistaken, he's been writing in code."
"What sort of code?" Han Sen asked with some confusion. The diary was written in the common language of the geno universe. He knew every word.
Ji Qing pointed at one of the diary entries. "This is the common language of the geno universe, but when you look closer, there's a pattern to how he writes. It's a code of some sort. If you can look the words up, perhaps you will find out what he's actually saying."
"Can you break the code for me?" Han Sen asked.
"I only know the basics of cryptography. If I had a list of code words, I could probably make some progress. I can't do it without a list, though. You should probably contact the Ji family for help with this. We have a code-breaking team, and they are real professionals when it comes to this stuff. They can help you." Ji Qing passed the notebook back to Han Sen.
Han Sen thought she was right. After he put the diary away, he took the time to pop back to the sanctuary. He gave the diary to Ji Yanran and told her about the difficulty he was having in breaking the code.
After that, Han Sen went to visit his warehouse. He lifted the egg, which was formerly the little red bird, from the keg. He then placed it in the Undying Bird's Nest, hoping it would hatch soon.
By the time he was done in the warehouse, the Ji family had already sent him a progress report. The patterns in the writing didn't fit any of the codes they had on record, so deciphering the diary would be difficult. Fortunately, they had been researching the geno universe's language since Han Sen returned to the sanctuaries for the first time. So, there was still a chance for them to decipher the diary. It would simply take some time.
They asked Han Sen to return in ten days, and by then, they might have made some progress.
There were many people in the base, so Han Sen knew he shouldn't remain in the sanctuaries for too long. He took the Undying Bird's Nest and the little red bird's egg back to the base on Planet Ice Blue.
Ordinary xenogeneic bird eggs took three or four hours to hatch inside the bird's nest, but the little red bird had been inside the nest for an entire day. And still, it showed no response. Han Sen wondered if the egg might have died.

Song Yu pouted and looked unhappy.
She had only known how to write numbers like one, two, three, four. It was finally time for her to learn how to write words, just like an adult would. This had excited little Song Yu very much. She was more excited than getting to learn numbers as she always had the curiosity for learning new things.
However, due to the arrival of Xia Wenna and her two sons, the lesson had to be rescheduled.
The problem was that if she was not to write then, she would be uncomfortable. Her heart would be aching for it with her mind being unable to let go of it.
"I can teach you." She remembered that he was just about ten at that time. However, Qi Chengzhi was already a more reserved child compared to the other children his same age. 
"Really?" The little mouth of Song Yu which was pouting earlier immediately turned into a bright smile.
Qi Chengzhi nodded, but Qi Chengji who was at the side of him showed dissatisfaction. "But I want to play!"
Qi Chengzhi drew out a Chinese hacky sack from his pocket and threw it at him. "Go on, play it in the garden."
Qi Chengji caught the Chinese hacky sack with both hands. Surprisingly, he was easily dismissed - he had stopped complaining and ran to the garden to play by himself.
"Where are we going to write?" Qi Chengzhi asked.
Little Song Yu eagerly reached out her fair soft little hands and pulled Qi Chengzhi to her bedroom.
Her bedroom was a little too big for her age. To his surprise, it was not in pink like other girls, which he had anticipated at first. It was only in warm beige color which made him feel comfortable. He did not have to be blinded by the color pink.
In spite of that, there was something that could not be avoided. Dolls that piled up over the table and bed.
In between the bed and the door, there was a space where a coffee table was placed. If they were to sit on the soft rug, the height of the table would be just fine for them.
Qi Chengzhi sat beside Song Yu, sneaking one arm around her. His other hand held hers that was holding the pen. Bringing her soft little hand to write down these two words:
Jiang Yuan.
For an eleven-year-old, Qi Chengzhi's handwriting was really beautiful. Though it was not as smooth as it would normally be since he was holding Song Yu's hand. It was neat and firm, foreshadowing how strong his handwriting would be in the future.
"What is this?" Song Yu blinked. She did not recognize those two words. "Is this my name?"
"This is my name." He was still holding her in his arm.
"But your name has three words!" Song Yu pouted. "I may be very young, but don't you lie to me."
Qi Chengzhi laughed at her reaction. "I'm not lying to you. This is really my name. It is my other name."
"You have two names?" Song Yu opened her mouth in shock. This was her first time discovering that one could have two names. "Why do you have two names?"
"The members of my family all have two names," answered Qi Chengzhi patiently. "Of course, only our Qi family has. This is my other name, Jiang Yuan."
Qi Chengzhi taught her how to pronounce them. After making sure Song Yu had recognized these two words, he said "this name is a secret. I've only told one person, which is you. You can't tell anyone."
"Okay." Song Yu nodded and promised him.
Qi Chengzhi chuckled as if to hint something and said, "I'm not sure if you will remember it or not in the future."
Then, he tore the page out, laying it at the side of the book. "Write these again according to it."
This time, Song Yu's fair, soft little hand held the pen by itself and wrote them down without the help of Qi Chengzhi. The handwriting was of course crooked. The two dots on top of the word Jiang were flying out of shape. The three horizontal lines were as crooked as earthworms. The word "Nu" at the bottom was far away from the upper part, leaving a big gap in between, looking like two words.
Despite that, the word "Yuan" was smaller in size than the word "Jiang". Plus, it did not look like it was well-aligned.
Upon finishing her writing, Qi Chengzhi also tore out that page. Folded it neatly and put it in his pocket.

Song Yu was now holding that paper which had turned yellow. It seemed to have become thin and fragile from time. It was as if it could be effortlessly broken down into pieces.
Looking at two of the misaligned words "Jiang Yuan", her memories became clearer.
She remembered Qi Chengzhi who told her in confidence that this was his other name.
When she was small, she was still unaware of The Great Eight Families. She did not know that other than their given names, they would have courtesy names too.
The Great Eight Families originated from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. When the Qin Dynasty defeated the six states, their ancestors, who were the aristocrats then, had a narrow escape. With the help of the National Teachers of Wei, the aristocrats of the seven states all came together. They concealed their identities to continue their lives. Along with the continuous war, they had established unimaginable cultural conservation.
As they were unable to use their surnames when they were supposed to remain hidden, they had taken their states' names as their new surnames to continue making a living. They kept their actual surnames as their courtesy names. From one generation to the next, the surnames had been passed on lest they forget their origins.
"Jiang", was the surname of Qi state's aristocrats.
Song Yu was unaware of this. Even when she was engaged to Qi Chengzhi, she had no inkling of the courtesy name of Qi Chengzhi.
She had never connected those ancestors' surnames to The Great Eight Families.

Her fingers shakily caressed the ugly and misaligned words, before folding it back gently.
Twenty years came by and he was still holding onto it.
She placed back the paper to where it was supposed to be. Only by then, it dawned on her that the book was a diary. The place that was keeping the paper, was the last page of the diary.
Song Yu recognized it. The strong but reserved handwriting. It was the handwriting of Qi Chengzhi. 
The last diary entry wrote:
Song Yu accepted my proposal. She will be my bride. Finally.
It was short, but it surprisingly met the personality of Qi Chengzhi. No matter if it was his speaking or diary scribblings, they were always simple and straightforward.
She was unaware of the reason but Song Yu could still feel his excitement and agitation through his words despite it being short and simple.
While caressing the lines of words with her finger, the charming face of Qi Chengzhi appeared on the paper.
It was as if he was watching her carefully and concentratedly at that moment.

Song Yu held onto the diary dumbfounded, still feeling astounded by the words in his diary.
She could not help but think about how Qi Chengzhi was when he was writing the diary. What kind of emotions he had running through him, what kind of impressions he had on his mind.
Day by day, he had been counting the days that he could not see her. There was no more than the words which were noting down days that he could not see her.

"You are a foolish, idiotic man," she whispered while unable to stop holding back her tears. "I am sorry that I haven't been there for you. I am sorry to have been engaged to Qi Chengji before."
If it was not for that, he would not be forced out of his hand to the extent that he had to destroy the Song family to marry her.
She was supposed to resent him, but now she possessed nothing but resounding love for him.
'I would be willing to give up the entire of Qi family, just to repay her one Song family.' Having read that sentence, she was not able to carry on resenting him anymore.
She knew that he was sincere. As long as she did not hate him, he was willing to sacrifice anything. Even if she had requested for the world, he would also not hesitate to get it for her.

Song Yu placed the diary back into the drawer gently, before closing it. With hesitations, she opened the cupboard under the drawer again.
Lying inside was a safe box. Strangely, she knew that what she had been looking for was inside of the safe box.
Song Yu moved and squatted in front of the safe box with her fingers touching the lock softly.
With her fingers shaking after some time, they left the lock.
Forget it. He had written it clearly in the diary, why should she try to open the safe box again?
Song Yu stood up once more, grabbing the folder she had placed on the table. 
Her eyes stared on the folder without blinking and seemed to be making an important decision.
Suddenly, her grab on the folder tightened and she left the study room. She had not come across Aunt Yang. If she was, she would be misunderstood if she were to be seen holding onto a folder while walking out of Qi Chengzhi's study room.
She ran up to the second floor immediately and headed to the dressing room.
She went to the edge where it was specially purposed for accessories and pulled out the drawer, there were lighters belonging to Qi Chengzhi laying inside.
Though he was not smoking then, it was only temporary. The lighters were still being kept as they were either branded or limited edition.
Song Yu did not appreciate the novelty value of the lighters and simply took one of them and proceeded to head back to the bedroom.
Upon opening the door and entering the bathroom, she cautiously closed the door behind her and locked it. Only by then, she pulled out the folder that had been crumpled in her grasp. The creases on the paper were permanent and were incapable of being smoothened out anymore.
She lit up the lighter and set the folder on fire without hesitation. The flame started to spread from one of the corners while engulfing the documents contained within, it turned the edge to black ashes.
Once the flame was nearly reaching the corner where her fingers were holding, Song Yu threw the folder which by then was only a corner into the toilet bowl. While the small corner fell into the toilet bowl, the flame had completely devoured it.
She breathed a sigh of relief. After making this decision, her whole body felt lighter. It was like all the weight pressing down on her body was lifted.
She returned to the living room where Aunt Yang had started preparing for dinner.
Song Yu realized that she had not informed Qi Chengzhi about her early return. She had been in such a hurry before. If he had not been informed, he would still go and wait for her at the entrance of Chengshi.
Thus, she made a call to Qi Chengzhi and told him that she had already arrived home.
"Ok." To her surprise, the response of Qi Chengzhi seemed to be one of indifference. He did not even ask her about the reason for being home early before hanging up the call.

I still remember the day -- presumably the most precious one in my entire life -- when my second son, Bobby, my favourite one, gave me a book. He called it a diary, and said to me that I could put my thoughts to pen and paper using this treasure of mine. 

And thus, my journey began, every exact detail written down in this obscure book.

Upon hearing Miss Justice's greeting, The Fool Klein suddenly had a strong wistful feeling.
After knowing her identity, status, looks, and situation, he had a deeper understanding as to why Audrey's tone had a happy and radiant air. He understood where they essentially came from, but he didn't end up envious or jealous because of that, nor did he believe that she lacked the toughness that was brought about by misery. Instead, he felt that in this world that had chaos, warped, and madness underlying it, having such a lady exist was really nice. 
A smile surfaced on his face as he gently nodded as an acknowledgment of Miss Justice's greeting.
After the Tarot Club members exchanged greetings, Cattleya nudged her glasses and turned her body sideways. She bowed in the direction of the blurry figure that was enveloped by gray fog at the end of the long bronze table.
"Honorable Mr. Fool, there are three diary pages this time."
Queen Mystic has finally come online again… Klein lampooned and said with a smile, "Very good."
A few seconds later, Cattleya conjured the diary pages after receiving approval before seeing them "leap" into Mr. Fool's hands.
Klein glanced at it casually when his heart skipped a beat.
He realized that the diary pages provided by Queen Mystic depicted Emperor Roselle's early days. It didn't seem to contain anything important.
Logically speaking, when being unable to distinguish the importance of entries, one will definitely prioritize the later diary entries. This would best restore the mystery as to why Emperor Roselle was "agitated"… I believe Queen Mystic is sufficiently clever… As Klein wondered to himself inwardly, he began seriously reading the first page.
"21st September. Arrived at St. Millom. I've officially begun my first state visit.
"Feysac's weather is really a little cold. It's not even October and it looks like it's about to snow. It's no wonder it's famous for its various coats and winter wear. As well as its liquor!
"F*ck, the people here are ridiculously tall. As expected of a country that descended from giants. However, I have to say that I hate it when people look down on me!
"Tonight, I'll be going to a bar to find a Feysac beauty to share some drinks!"
Upon reading this, Klein suddenly suspected if Queen Mystic Bernadette's question was if she had a brother of Feysac descent.
Holding back his tsking inwardly, Klein swept his gaze to the second diary entry.
"22nd September. I think I blacked out…
"What happened last night? What happened to my Feysac beauty? I actually lost out to her in drinking!
"The embassy staff told me that the women here are often better at drinking than men…
"I should show some temperance when I head to bars in the future. I sure don't want some ugly, middle-aged woman to do unspeakable things to me when I black out…
"The alcohol here sure is strong. My headache has lasted an entire day. Thankfully, my stomach doesn't hurt. I should sleep early. I'll be visiting the Great Twilight Hall tomorrow."
"23rd September. The Great Twilight Hall is indeed grand. It's like a myth materializing into reality. That building seems to be completely prepared for giants.
"Since I don't share their faith, I could only circle the perimeter. The square at the bottom of the Great Twilight Hall is also filled with the fragrance of alcohol!
"There were plenty of people there, some kneeling, some sitting, others playing musical instruments. They exude a rather relaxed and open feeling.
"I got to know a Feysacian who blows a bone flute. Compared to his kinsmen, he's ridiculously tall. He's roughly three meters tall.
"His name is Honegger, and he claims to be from one of the clans in Feysac that have the purest giant bloodline. Now that I mention it, I really can't help but give some criticism. Those guys seem to wear any sexual diseases as a badge of honor. It just messes up the entire social market!
"I had a chat with Honegger for a while and raised my question from before. He said that he's only homesick.
"But the problem lies in the fact that he's a true blue native from St. Millom. He has never left this place before.
"Honegger didn't immediately reply to me as he played the bone flute for a few more minutes. He later told me that he misses the origins of the giant bloodline, the Giant King's Court mentioned in myths.
"He told me that he and his clan of Feysacians often dream of tall mountains that are used as giant city walls. It's a palace forever bathed in twilight's glow, with tall towers and other kinds of buildings. It resembles the Great Twilight Hall, but it's even more fascinating, epic, and miraculous.
"Without anyone needing to tell them, Honegger and his clansmen believe that it's the Giant King's Court.
"Towards the end of our conversation, Honegger slowly stood up and thanked me for listening. He was going to leave Feysac to seek out the Giant King's Court, to find the home of his soul.
"He believed that in the zone at the easternmost front of the Sonia Sea, there might be a path that leads to the Giant King's Court.
"He said that a millennia has passed, but the giants have never forgotten their home. Now, it's his turn to follow the footsteps of his ancestors. This path would never stop until the destination is reached.
"He played the bone flute again and gradually left amidst that ethereal and sorrowful tune.
"Home…"
Home… Upon reading this, Klein felt for the first time that his feelings resonated with the emperor.
Although Roselle only wrote the word that seemed to repeat without describing his feelings, Klein could understand the undulating feelings within the emperor. This was because he and Roselle were like Honegger. They had a home they belonged to spiritually.
Sighing inwardly, Klein flipped to the second diary page.
"10th January. Visited Sonia Island.
"This place is also called Ancient Elf Island. It has plenty of elven ruins and customs left over.
"I was surprised on the first day. The elves actually make 'blood cake,' and they enjoy eating animal organs and are good at using spices.
"They even invented chopsticks?
"Thinking about the elven depictions on the murals, apart from their blue hair, their facial contours and eyes are similar to Asians on Earth. Could they be my fellow countryman?"
Yes, back then, I had such suspicions as well. However, it's impossible for so many people to transmigrate at once since it's almost an entire race. I felt that I was overthinking matters… But it doesn't make sense that the customs and cutlery that appears on Earth won't appear here… Klein thought in interest as he quickly continued reading. He wanted to know if Roselle had gotten to the bottom of it."
"13th January. I've been so busy searching for writings, relics, and folk tales that I forgot to write my diary for a few days.
"Although many objects have been taken away by the various Churches, I've still obtained something of value.
"Various legends have it that Elf King Soniathrym created chopsticks. There are records of 'Him' using animal organs and blood to cook delicacies. There are stories of this ancient god being good at identifying and using spices. It's acknowledged that 'He' is their founding ancestor, the first elf. Due to certain reasons, 'He' led the race and left the Western Continent that only existed in legends, bringing them to the Northern Continent.
"Could it be that this is a fellow countryman of mine, a transmigrator?
"'He' later produced an entire race? There's nothing ancient gods can't do, including having children?
"'He' apparently had a wife who was also an elf. Hmm… I'll need to think this through."
"16th January. After further investigation, elves might really have nothing to do with transmigrators. At the very least, they didn't leave behind any Chinese, English, or other symbols.

A tall and muscular man was  extending his hand holding a  diary to a  Little Guy nor more than 12 years old. He was wearing a black costume, who did not hide the well fit body beneath, has well groomed blond hair and blue eyes, because of his physique no one would forget  him quickly. Every one was in black today, after all it was a day to mourn the dead. 
But strangely every one was crying apart the Family of the dead. The assumed dead man was named Lekyan the father of the little boy. It was now two years that no sign of him was found. 

And in his era where the Gates opened, bringing devastating magic beast and strange civilization to their world, nearly no one believe a human was able to survive outside of the magic wall for more than two years without giving a simple sign of is well being. Apart his family.

The little boy took the diary and  known that it come from his father.

The little guy then nod before thanking his Uncle.

Liam give him a nod and went to speak with the other.

-Hey, Little Brother, take this, it's ice cream! Float!

A Red head teen girl came to him with two bowl of ice cream, all smiling. Before sending the Bowl to him, but strangely it did not fell, it began to drift in the air tranquilly directly in the hand of Jack. The young boy took it before watching left and right checking that no one see the magic in action, and then whispered.

-Careful Ruby, you don't have the right to use magic today.

 A laugh was heard not to far from a young girl looking nearly the same that the redhead one but with dark brown hair, who was the youngest of the twin Ariel, who start to whisper.

-Don't worry, if father was truly dead then no one here would be able to fight with the monster outside. So it's not really a funeral but more an anniversary of the two year trip that took a longer than expected. 

-Maybe for us, cause we know how dad is, but not the other, have respect you two!

Answered Dean rolling his eyes before noticing that the twin was sticking their tongue playfully at him, letting the youngest of the family sigh.

The day passed quickly, everybody bid farewell to the family, even uncle Liam, he was the master magic engineer of the city and was in charge of the wall well being, so he have lot of work tomorrow. Dinner was ready and the family start to eat, the mood was good like always but Dean was not very interested in the food, he was thinking about the diary.

The voice was gentle, his mother was looking at him tenderly, he smiled and started to eat again.

A little time after, Dean seated at a desk,  was reading the book in his room when a his mother knocked lightly on the door.

-How are you?

Her mother would pass at every one of her children, asking this question, one at time.

-I'm curious, more I read father's Diary more I found difference between your self-taught magic and the one taught the by academy. But why did you not taught us this magic instead? It seem more powerful.

So yeah you will see strange term, runes that no one know about, even your sisters is just starting to learn this magic, if you have the right to read this diary it's because your father saw your maturity two years ago and known that you was intelligent enough to start to learn the magic he created when he was seven. You know, he was always trying to find the better path to learn this magic for you, cause he wanted you and your sister to be powerful enough to defend yourself and the one you love.

Tears began to roll on the cheeks of his mother, even if she knew that her husband was alright she was anxious, and she missed him. 
Dean was then hugged by his mother and quickly tears began to fall from him too.

A little time passed and his mother give him a goodnight kiss on the head before going to the room of Ariel, she needed to check the twin now.
He began to read the spell-book anew. When he was at the end of the preface on the twentieth pages, he then close the diary and went to sleep, with his head in turmoil. If he want to understand the Grimoire he have to study it full of energy, fortunately he was in holidays, he will be able to take advantage of it; tomorrow will be a long day.

Just after the night quiet down, the book start shining, he then levitate a little and open itself to the page twenty-four, where we can read the title of the page is Basic Rune.

After his father got lost for now two year, he is now declared dead, his uncle give him his father diary hoping he will learn what made his father so respected in the magic sphere.

Despite her struggles, Leanne finally arrived at their ancestral home. A middle-aged couple have been awaiting her arrival by the gates. Leanne recognized them as the mansion's caretakers.

"Oh my, oh my iha! You really do look like her!" The middle-aged woman ran up to her and hugged her.

(iha= child, used for females; iho for males)

"Welcome to Bicol, Miss Leanne." The middle-aged man added as he extended his hands for a handshake.

Leanne quickly returned the woman's hug and immediately shook hands with the man, "Hello po, Auntie Lucy and Mang Isko." She greeted them warmly. "Auntie Lucy, you said that I look like someone po… May I ask who?" Leanne asked curiously. 

(Auntie= unrelated/related Aunt; Mang= unrelated Uncle)

"That's right iha. You look exactly like your great-grandmother, Josefa Diaz. You should see for yourself… Come with me to go see her portrait. We also preserved a lot of her stuff, even her diary." Auntie Lucy excitedly pulled Leanne into the mansion.

Mang Isko can only sigh at his wife's behavior and stop her from pulling the young lady any further, "Come on Lucy, Miss Leanne had only arrived. She must be tired or hungry." 

"Haha it's okay po, Mang Isko. I've always been curious about my great-grandma." Leanne quickly defended Auntie Lucy as she felt bad discouraging her when she greeted her so enthusiastically. 

Auntie Lucy puts her hands on her waist and scolded Mang Isko, "That's right old man, Miss Leanne is also looking forward to it. She had only been here once, when she was 3 years old. She must also be curious about the mansion and Josefa. Don't be such a kill-joy."  Auntie Lucy then turned to Leanne and said, "Don't worry iha, I've already prepared lunch for you. Your favorite sinigang!" Then she went back to pulling her inside, leaving Mang Isko flabbergasted. 

Auntie Lucy led her to her room and went to set the table. The room used to be the room of Josefa. 

Upon entering the room, a big portrait came into view. Looking at the woman on the portrait that looks 80-90% like her, makes Leanne feel a bit weird. She pulled out her phone, took a picture and sent it to her 'friends group' chat. She then noticed that there was no service, "What the heck! Are we back to the stone-age or something? There's no service and no wifi. What was my mother thinking when she sent me to this place!?" Leanne complained loudly as she looked around the room.

Leanne found a chest under the bed and tried to open it, "What's this? It's locked." 

Auntie Lucy noticed her upon arriving by the door and said, "That's what I told you earlier, Josefa's stuff. Do you want to open it? I have the key here." 

Leanne nodded and received the key, "Thanks po."

The chest was full of worn-out things covered in dusts. It seems that it hasn't been opened for a long time. Leanne reached out to grab an old book-like thing. Except from the worn-out paper and little tears, it seemed fine and well-preserved.

"That is Josefa's diary that she started writing on her 19th birthday. She was also arranged to marry at that time. She really didn't want to marry but she was an only child and a daughter, so she could never inherit her father's land and manage it." Auntie Lucy solemnly said.

"How could that be!? Why did she have to marry so early? Women can also manage a land or any business for that matter. Did she proceed with the marriage? Did she love him?" Leanne empathizes with her great-grandma, especially because they look so alike. She could also understand the difficulty of arranged marriages, despite being single for the past 19 years of her life.

Auntie Lucy smiled upon hearing the concern from her words, "Well, women were underappreciated back then… and yes, she did marry him, Diego Diaz." Auntie Lucy took out an old photo from the chest. "He is your great-grandfather. He loved Josefa deeply… so deeply that Josefa couldn't help but loved him back. They had three children, including your father's mother, Grandma Luisa."

Leanne looked at the photo and her eyes widened in surprise, "This is my great-grandpa? Oh wow! Good genes!  He looks good. I take back what I said, great-grandmother really hit the jackpot when she married him." Leanne excitedly took out her phone again to take photos, but suddenly remembered her dissatisfaction with the service. 

While Leanne was busy frowning, Auntie Lucy stood up, "Well Josefa was lucky enough to marry a handsome guy from a rich family, but I heard that she was crying in regret in her deathbed."

Leanne looked up and saw that Auntie Lucy was already at the door, "Regret? What did she regret? Didn't she love him too?" 

Auntie Lucy stopped and turned back, shrugging her shoulders she answered, "No one really knew. Josefa was already delirious so no one could make out what she said. The only word that was clearly heard was regret and Emilio… anyways, let's go down and eat lunch."

"A love triangle!? Hahaha my great-grandma is so showbiz. There might have been a great scandal during the Spanish regime. Too bad that there's no private investigators at that time." Leanne amusedly said. She then put the things back into the chest and followed Auntie Lucy.

Leanne had a happy lunch with Aunt Lucy and Mang Isko. They talked a lot about university, the plantation and Josefa. Mang Isko also offered to tour Leanne around the property and the plantation in the afternoon.

Traveling, inspecting the plantation and talking to the workers have exhausted Leanne. When they arrived back to the ancestral home, she quickly took a shower, had dinner and laid in bed.

She was tired but she could not fall asleep. There was nothing to do without the internet, so she just scrolled through her photos. When she scrolled past the photos that she took earlier of her great-grandpa, she remembered the diary. She got up and decided to read the diary to pass the time.

Reading the diary while laying down already made her drowsy. This is a habit that she always tries to avoid when studying. Anything being read while laying down becomes a bedtime story that lulls her to sleep. 

On the first page of the diary, she immediately noticed the date being the same day as today, May 5.

***May 5, 1896***
 This day was a special day. Emilio, Maria and I went to town to celebrate me turning 19 years old. We went sight-seeing then had lunch. Maria also told me that Emilio prepared a gift for me. As it turned out, this diary is his gift for me.

I am so happy. Emilio made this diary just for me. Growing up with Emilio and Maria, I've always felt that they are closer together. Can this diary mean that I am special to him too?

 Mother and Father also greeted me happily today. Although, Father seemed too happy while saying that we will meet some people in the evening. To be honest, it was a bit suspicious. 

I also went and brought food to the plantation. There, I saw an unfamiliar face… an unfamiliar handsome face to be exact. I wondered who he was…

Transmigration starts in TRES!

At Hell Ledge, countless people from Darkness Port participated in the Hell Ledge Challenge before, but it still remained as the most mysterious place.
The only thing known about the Hell Ledge Challenge was that one must go to the third level of the cabin area and the stationed troops would bring the challenger across a long corridor into a mysterious place to start the challenge.
The so-called challenge was held in a large space. Everyone had different encounters in the space, and whenever one succeeded the first challenge, he would advance further down to the next challenge.
Someone once described the challenge as climbing an upside-down tower. The challenger would go down level by level in the massive tower.
Aside from the difficulty of the challenges, the reason why the Hell Ledge Challenge was mysterious was that no matter how familiar one was with Darkness Port, it was difficult to pinpoint the location of the challenge.
Was it inside the flat-topped mountain? At the ledge of the cliff? No, neither of them were the right locations because there was simply no space big enough to hold the challenge. Some even assumed that the space was imaginary and that it was just a trick of the human brain while the spaciousness was just an illusion.
Boss Huang did not write his explanation in the book this time, but there were some little scribbles beside it. 'Space? Dream imitation?' The little scribbles with the question marks represented the doubts in his heart.
Tang Ling originally did not resonate with the challenge, but when he saw the word 'dream imitation', his urge got the best of him. He asked Boss Huang, "Boss, do you think they are creating a dream imitation?"
It was impossible for either of them to hide the fact that they were Dream Seeds, so it was only natural for them to talk about the Dream World sooner or later.
Boss Huang was also straightforward with his answer. "That's what I am suspecting, but why?"
Tang Ling frowned. Yeah, why? What's the purpose of creating a dream imitation?
Unfortunately, it was not a question that he could answer at the moment. He was done with 'An In-depth Introduction to Darkness Port'. In summary, the contents of the book were mostly about trivial stuff and he already concluded all the important points. As for the other minor details such as the things in the island area, some other rules, and more trivial stuff, none of them mattered at the moment.
It had only been half an hour since he finished the book.
After he got a better understanding of Darkness Port, more thoughts flowed into his mind. Tang Ling scooped some water with his hand to wash his face, wanting to refresh himself before reading 'The Purple Moon Chronicles'.
"Huh?" Boss Huang lightly grunted with a strange expression when he saw Tang Ling wash his face with the herbal water.
Tang Ling raised a curious brow at him and said, "What's wrong?"
"N-Nothing, ahem…Nothing's wrong," Boss Huang responded strangely. He averted Tang Ling's gaze and said in an awkward tone, "I sometimes twitch without a reason. Don't mind me."

Therefore, Tang Ling was actually looking forward to reading 'The Purple Moon Chronicles'. He would never dwell on strange matters. He simply assumed that Boss Huang really had a twitching condition, so he picked the book up.
"You'd better change your mood before you read the second book." Boss Huang suddenly fired out a strange reminder when he saw Tang Ling pick 'The Purple Moon Chronicles' up.

It's late summer, almost early autumn, but it's somehow hotter than mid-summer. Where is the spirit of autumn? It's a week away from Chinese Valentine's Day.
I mustered up enough courage and asked her out on Wechat.
Me: Hi, are you free next Tuesday? Do you want to hang out? It's summer break and we old mates haven't seen each other for more than a month.

The foul mood really pulled me down. I always ran 5 km easily, yet I ran only five laps today and got tired after less than 2 km. Since it got misty, I went home.

If it really is harmful, I think it's because humans keep destroying the environment and karma is coming for them. Since it's karma, I guess humans will have to accept it.
