Just little things that sometimes help me with writing and my thoughts of different forms of writing.

Some tips I highly advise you take before you start writing :)



Zhang Zian was Pi's only friend. The other elves in the pet shop could talk but Pi couldn't, and Pi was the only elfin that could type, so Pi found it difficult to communicate with others. Zhang Zian had always been worried about Pi. When he couldn't keep it company, who could relieve its loneliness?

In China, it was forbidden to have primates as pets, so Pi couldn't appear before humans. Zhang Zian couldn't explain to others that Pi wasn't an animal, it was an elfin, ruling out the possibility of Pi making friends in real life. 

Zhang Zian felt that the Internet was a good space to make friends. As the saying goes, on the Internet, nobody knows who you are.

Pi carefully thought about his suggestion, nodded, and typed: I'll try it.

So, Zhang Zian helped it join the group established by the readers. The application was approved almost instantly. The readers in the group were so exhilarated seeing that Pi had joined the group.

"Are you the author?"

"Are you really the author?"

"Are you actually the author of Pet King?"

Everyone asked questions one after another.

Zhang Zian looked at Pi with encouragement. Having just learned the skill, Pi captured the screen of the platform for authors on the Qidian website and sent the image to the group. Then Pi typed: Hello, everyone. I'm the author of Pet King. Thank you for your support!

The readers were even more excited, expressing their love of the book and their curiosity about the author.

Pi was bemused, not knowing what questions to answer first or how to answer them. Fortunately, the group's manager helped Pi in a timely manner. 

[Killed by A Sword]: Everyone, don't harass the author. You'll delay Popo's writing. 

Zhang Zian was surprised. They've given Pi a nickname?!

"Eeek."

Pi smiled. It seemed to like the nickname.

Pi found that the readers were very friendly. Whether they were discussing the plot of Pi's book or talking about their life experiences, they were very polite, which was completely different from what Pi had imagined. Every once in a while, Pi would slip in one or two sentences to express its own opinions. Each comment from Pi was praised by the readers, who would subsequently ask Pi a series of questions or urge Pi to release more chapters, making Pi feel overwhelmed again. 

As Zhang Zian watched the interaction between Pi and the readers, he knew it was a great idea to ask Pi to join the Book Group.

While chatting with the readers, Pi refreshed the website from time to time. Previously, the number of readers who had put Pet King in their libraries was 9,853. Now, the number was increasing.

9,887.

9,923.

9,945.

9,972.

Finally, the number became 9,999.

Zhang Zian held his breath, and Pi minimized the chat room window. Their eyes stared at the number, waiting for the moment when it became ten thousand.

However, reality was different from their expectations. When Pi refreshed the website once again, the number decreased to 9,998.

"Eeek."

Pi lowered its head. Every time it saw the number decline, it'd be so frustrated and thought that the readers gave up reading the book because of its poor writing. 

"Pi, raise your head."

Zhang Zian patted its shoulder, comforting it. "Pi, you have to remember that your novel isn't the Renminbi and it will never be liked by everyone. You should know that only two out of ten customers actually decide to buy my pets. Money means nothing to me." 

Pi raised its head and pointed at its chest. The gesture meant: You should be ashamed of what you just said.

However, Zhang Zian's joke had helped Pi regain its confidence and courage. Pi quickly forgot the one reader who had just left and refreshed the webpage again.

"Eeek!" Pi danced with joy. 

"Finally, 10,000! High-five!" Zhang Zian raised his right palm.

Pi lifted its small pink hand and gently hit Zhang Zian's palm. Zhang Zian wanted to celebrate, but his cell phone suddenly rang.

He took out his cell phone, thinking that it was a message from an acquaintance or merchant. He was surprised to find that Pet Hunter had opened with new three tips. 

[Game Tips]: Congratulations! Your Molecule Monkey has collected enough Strength of Faith to upgrade!

[Game Tips]: Your Molecule Monkey is currently an Elite level elfin. After upgrading, it will become an Elite/Premier elfin. 

[Game Tips]: Are you upgrading now? If you choose "No," you can upgrade it later.

[Yes/No, remind me later]

Zhang Zian was stunned. It was his first time encountering the upgrade of an elfin. 

His palm was still touching Pi's, so Zhang Zian could feel its temperature that was slightly higher than that of humans. He looked at Pi, who was staring at the computer screen with joy and refreshing the page with the other to see the number increase.  

Zhang Zian glanced at the computer screen. The Add to Library number had become 10,031.

Although he didn't pay attention to the time, he believed that the game's upgrade option popped up when the number had reached 10,000.

Was that a coincidence?

"Pi, I'm going to the bathroom. Stay here by yourself for a while. By the way, don't just chat with the readers, start writing," he said, taking his hand back.

Pi nodded and excitedly launched the Word document. However, the novelty of joining the group hadn't yet passed, and Pi still occasionally looked at the chatroom.

Zhang Zian entered the bathroom, closed the door, and said in a low voice, "Navigation Elfin, are you there?"

[Navigation Elfin]: At your service.

A flashing light appeared on the screen of Zhang Zian's cell phone. 

"Navigation Elfin, is this 'upgrade' the kind I imagined?" he asked, thinking that the Navigation Elfin would be able to understand what he meant without explanation. 

[Navigation Elfin]: Yes, the upgraded Molecule Monkey won't disappear, unless it's downgraded due to losing its Strength of Faith.

"Are there any side effects?" he asked with concern.

[Navigation Elfin]: There are no side effects.

There was no reason that the Navigation Elfin would lie, Zhang Zian believed it. "Thank you, I have no other questions."

[Navigation Elfin]: Enjoy playing your game!

The light disappeared.

Zhang Zian took a deep breath, and clicked "Yes."

[Game Tips]: Your Molecule Monkey is upgrading. Please wait!

2. Catch a few magical pets as partners
3. Go through interesting daily routines and lead the pet shop to a whole new level

Like many of you, I'm a sucker for a good pokemon fic. Unfortunately there are so many of them out there that pretty much everything you think of has been done already.

So what can you do to stand out?
... 

Starting locations
Notice how many people start their journey in the same starter town, despite the fact that the majority of the people live in the larger cities of that region? 

Switch it up a little!
Have your MC start on one of the Orange Isles, Cerulean City, Lavender Town or whatever. Those trainers that hand around a gym in the games and city? 

Why not make the gym leaders distributor's of starting pokemon of their specialty in their municipality?

Want a specific pokemon? Make it an option to simply buy pokemon online just like you can buy cats n dogs off Craigslist, but make it a licenced trade!

You don't need to start in Pallet Town, or the equivalent there of in any of the regions, but if you do consider basing your story on a different character or SI into a different family.

Aren't you sick and tired of always reading about a variant of Ash Ketchum? Why not SI as Gary for a change? 

He's rich, and whilst he doesn't have a 'milf' that we know off, there's nothing stopping you from going after Ms. Ketchum anyway.

If an 18+ fic is your game, then consider genderbending Ash and applying whatever your stash consists of early to explain why she's tagging along.

Superpowers
You want super powers? Of all the Aura using fics I've read, not once did its trainer truly justify the need for it. In the end it was just useless greeble to fill up the word count with self gratification.

If you want a useful superpower that's available in the pokemon world, just make your character psychic. The versatility of that in the pokemon verse is about the same as that of Jean, aka. Phoenix from the X-men.

Psychic in Pokemon means everything from telekinesis, to complete mind fuckery. Something that is even seen in the anime with the psychic who trapped her own parents inside her dolls.

You could, even talk with your pokemon if that's your thing, and if it's not, you can just make it a one way connection or something like a mental language barrier.

I sure as hell wouldn't want my Pickachu to share its thoughts if I were Ash, telling me my mum was right and that I should have packed more clean underwhere because I smell. ;)

Financing
Something most people wonder is how the hack a Pokemon trainer could possibly sustain themselves financially, if they're not draining their parents dry.

A fantastic way to add dept to your character, and make them seem more competent is by tackling this issue with how you would do this.

Here are some ideas I would do:
- Vlogging
- Mini Series
- Stock footage (film, sound and photography) 
- Poketube channel with Trainer Hacks (tips, tricks & tutorials for all you do from pokemon to outdoor survival, to how to shoot that stock footage)

- Collect Sponsors
- Merchandise 
- Automated  Webshop /w Commissions

Hell, if your fic is an 18+ type you could even include the oldest profession or make outdoor videos of that nature.  

There is literally tons of stuff you could do in the pokemon world to earn an extra buck doing what you do anyway, that you can do IRL too. 

If you're writing a darker fic with an evil MC, you could even go for blackmail, theft, extortion and other mobster like activities to fund their travels.

Travel Efficiency
One of the most stupid things in Pokemon is how there are so many cheap long range travel options that people seem to forget. 

Its like wizards in Harry Potter. They have magic, and instantly lose their minds for any and all logic. 

If you have played the games, then you will know all of the fast travel options and if you know the anime, you'll be able to point out even more. 

- Flight

- Teleport (Butterfree is psychic and should by logic be able to learn it, and if thats your super power then so could you. 

- Riding your pokemon ( Arcanine and Ponita for example in kanto) 

- Riding a bicycle / mountain bike, motorcycle, car etc. 

The thing is, if you wanted to, every rooky and noob could catch a catterpie, train it up and once it evolved into a Butterfree, teach it teleport and you could spend your sweet ass in your own bed without lodging costs each night.

You could have breakfast at the kitchen table with your S. O. Or family. Something that really puts in perspective the absence of logic in the pokemon world.

Your character could make an awesome fic just by showing off logic in how to tackle these common issues that apparently the pokemon fanbase seems to be unable to sole as well!

Set an unique handicap or goal for your character. 
Instead of following Ash his example, why not become a water pokemon trainer like misty originally intended to be? 

Set out to prove your preferred type's superiority over others, become a gym master or elite four yourself. 

Why not go out and charge down the realism route? 

Make pokemon dangerous, like some of the darker pokemon fics, where people are often found dead in the wild as the result of a bandit or pokemon attack. 

Sensationalise the Dangers of veridian forest, Mount moon and places like it, add mysteries like a serial killing samurai kid slaying people with his bug pokemon in the forest out of some self induced eco terrorist like agenda. 

If you ever turned on the news and saw a piece about an animal attack, then you know what sorts of things you can enter pokemon wise. 

Hell you can make traveling by sea dangerous because Gyarados have a taste for human blood and other such things. 

There is so much you can do to add to your story in the pokemon world, and there are so few people who think to take advantage of it.

Last but not least, Trainer Ages. 
Why bother mentioning an age at all? Does it add to your story? Is it vital for you to know the age of a Pokemon trainer? It's a handicap when you insert it and a good way to get the FBI kicking down your door type of jokes or outright complaints of people saying something is not even possible at that age. 

Another thing I never understand is the need to start a fic from birth or even before that and cover the entire childhood of your character, when it usually can be summed up with: this is x, x is a reincarnated person with super powers and he found Z pokemon as a kid and befriended it. 

People easily take 10 or so chapters to describe their characters childhood only to run out of steam and drop the fic before they even reach the first gym. 

10 chapters to describe they're Reincarnated, Can use aura and have a riolu or some other pokemon that doesn't belong in the region the story is placed in. 

All the while the entire story to that point can simply be put in a single first chapter that starts the day their pokemon journey at an unspecified age starts. 

How hard is it to summerise it to:
"My name is Randy Ketchum, the randy, reincarnated twin brother of Ash Ketchum that's been training to use Aura with the Riolu I encountered in my childhood. 

I'm excited to start my pokemon journey, tough I will miss the 18+ moments I had in secret with my mom."

That is like the majority of all published, aura using reincarnation SI pokemon fica with more than 10 chapters summerised in 2 mini paragraphs. 

If you're writing a fic. Don't waste your energy on childhood. Invest it on the actual time and space the show covers.  Because as you can see, your long conversations with your pokemon about aura and you tapping your mom are all dust in the grand scheme of things. 

Dust that no one misses when you sumerise the childhood to a funny, quirky introduction that gives people the lay of the land and allows you to move on to the real story.

I'm not an author, my interests in a concept don't last long enough to write it and I am admittedly not the strongest in writing a decent dialog.

I'm someone who is Hyper Aware of a lot of things, and one of them is if something severely lacks. Whilst I can do art Inspite of that, I just can't bring myself to write dialog that doesn't feel perfectly natural.

That said, I do often write drafts for stories, sometimes I even manage a chapter worth of dialog that any author would be proud to own, but when it's about the baseline that I achieve for my dialogs, then I prefer not to publish.

However, I do have ideas, so many ideas and thoughts on things that I feel the need to express them. Hopefully, they will be of help for authors, who are feeling stuck or unsure how to develop their story, or want to write one but are unsure about what to write.

So, long story short. What follows are drafts for fics and stories. Ideas on how to build a convincingly strong character without needing all those rediculously overpowered bloodlines and abilities.

Ideas on how to develop abilities and exploit them, that you might not have thought to try.

Because let's face it, a creative mind can make even the simplest of abilities into a versatile master piece.

All of those things, you will find here, sooner or later. So have fun, be inspired or horrified at what you read. ;p

Welcome back, young daoists! Today we will be touching upon a topic near and dear to every starving daoist's heart. Advertising.

Of course, "shamelessly advertising"? No! You are just providing a source of entertainment for anyone who is interested...

Maybe a young daoist like you has never heard of the term "advertising"? It's a quite simple and easy task, but getting people to actually read your story is something else. Here's a few tips on how to provide a source of entertainment for anyone interested.

1. Comments

Let's say you're on a story like "Transcending The Nine Heavens" and see a few comments enjoying the story. You should comment something like this:

"I like Transcending The Nine Heavens too! The update per week is soo slow though. I'm working on a similar story called "Insert Cool Xianxia Name" with a chapter per (you choose) and it currently has (please don't advertise with 5 chapters). See you later, fellow daoist. 

With this comment, you have indirectly said 'Come to my story, add to your library and give me power stones.' without actually saying that! Foolproof technique.

2. Social Media/Discord

If you haven't joined Discord, I recommend you do! You should then join the official Webnovel server and Inkstone Writing server. Using a legendary technique crafted by me, you will be able to get more viewers.

Open Discord > Webnovel > Start Interacting

This one requires a lot of skill, as not every starving daoist can actually communicate well. Fear not! This will hone your skills, give you an idea of what authors and readers are like and open new gateways to creating your own server for your novel. 

So basically, don't shamelessly advertise to advertise on Discord! Only do it when the moment is right and casually mention your novel. 
TLDR: Don't be so pushy! A man just wants to read..
3. Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?

This is only for the most desperate and starving daoists. It is seriously not recommended to torture yourself like this unless absolutely necessary. After all, who would want to let the world know they write on Webnovel? Just one look at it gives a 'weaboo' vibe and will scare most narrow-minded people off. But, if you have willingly chose this path, it is expected you know what judgement stems from it. 

You should casually mention you write something and have a friend check it out. Make sure you're not writing a scene where the MC gets his head chopped off on the first chapter or that will scare some people away. Here's a good way of saying this to your real life friends:

"I've been thinking of getting into writing, and I'm writing on a website called Webnovel. My story is called 'The Dao of Filler' you should check it out! I think you'll like it."

If you were not profusely sweating while saying that sentence, good on you. Let's just hope your friend won't be absolutely shocked when they read the absurd titles of popular novels and quickly close the tab...

Although Dreamer knew who Captain America was he knew he was supposed to be an alien so he pretended to not understand and said
<Captain who?>
<Oh yeah you don't know Captain America, So captain America is .....>
He goes on to explain Captain America



Dreamer cleverly told Peter that he would not be strong as captain America naturally but left it unsaid that with his amplification he would be stronger than him because he didn't want spider kid running around being a hero.


<So how much do I need to exercise?>
<What exercise?. I told you I will do it.>
<What don't you mean that you make it easier for me to gain muscle?>
<Kid looks like you misunderstood. You don't need to do anything all you need to have is a constant source of food and water.>
<What you mean I don't need to do anything and I will gain a body of an Athlete?>
<Kid Why are you repeating yourself. I will just need to eat certain foods and yes even those you don't like but don't worry I will create cravings for the food you need to eat and yes even for something like broccoli etc.>


<Wow I didn't even know people could have cravings for Broccoli.>
<Nows that's out of the way, Kid I want you to organise the room, I don't tolerate a lazy host and hate a disorganized mess>
With instructions from Dreamer and some life hacks he made clean up his room and organise everything.


<Whew, you are slave driver.> whined Peter mentally
<What slave driver actively helps his slaves body in perfect condition>
 said Peter sarcastically.
<So how do you know so much about Humans and our Habits>

Dreamer was having a lot of fun being a backseat driver.


<So What do you usually do Kid? When do you get your Education?>
<It is Mondays to Fridays, Saturday and Sunday's are holidays.>
<Oh, So what do you during your Holidays?>

<Oh then do your stuff.>


Peter didn't know what to think of his symbiotic partner, all the things he told him he wanted to believe but he didn't know if he could believe his words.
<You know I can hear your thoughts right?>
<Oh yeah sorry>


Peter avoided the situation and took out his books and started doing his homework.
After 30 mins he cleared up his homework. During this time Dreamer was studying the difference between a conscious host and an unconscious host and he found that the response was a huge difference in speed of response and the control of the host was much finer. But he found something more interesting. He found that he could control and change muscle memory.


He found this out during the time Peter was writing the writing was so ingrained that he just need to think of the letter and his hand automatically wrote down. Seeing this he wanted to test something.


<So are you done with your work?>
<Yeah>
<So, Why is your handwriting so bad?>
<Uh, I just didn't practice my handwriting I suppose>
<So I wanna test something, do you have anything to practice your Handwriting?>

<Good take them out.>


Peter searched around in his books and took them out.
<Good, now practice each of the letters one time exactly on the Line>
Peter just shrugged and wrote all the book one time in about 20mins. When Peter was practising Dreamer was constantly adjusting peters handwriting according to the book.


<Good it's done now what?>
<Now open an empty page in your notebook and write as I dictate.>
<The mind is one the most complex part of sentient beings, meditating is one of the ...>
Peter was focusing on my voice while writing so he didn't notice that his hand was writing in perfect cursive handwriting neatly like it was printed from a printer. I was dictating him the meditation part of my Mind technique, he was also listening and from time to time I could see flashes of inspiration though his mind and understanding.


<Wow, that description was detailed. I have some questions about what you said.>

<Yeah, so why did yo-... How is this possible>
Peter was dumbfounded at his handwriting
<So I found that I could rewrite muscle memory so I tested it, looks like it works.>
<Wait, So my handwriting is always going to be this good from now on?>
<Yes, Unless you try to consciously to change the handwriting it will always be like this.>
<Thats so cool.>


<So ask your Questions about meditation>
Thus Peter asked all sorts of questions about the meditation technique. His current meditation technique was a combination of his self made meditation technique and the meditation technique he learned in Kamar tan.
<If you successfully master the meditation technique, I will give you the continuation of that technique>

Sometime later Peter reading up science articles on the internet and was writing stuff down but a dreamer who was seeing peters learning technique was having a headache. As a self-made genius in his last life, Dreamer had gotten used to sorting the information he read, and arranging them in a way that would be easy to revisit but also to easier to understand.


Peter's Haphazard way of learning made Dreamer get a headache. But still, since he was partners with peter for a long time to come, he figured he would mentor the kid. Unlike him, Peter was a natural genius and Dreamer was dying to see what a Natural genius with his ethics and techniques would be like.


Just like that the rest of the day was teaching Peter methods for increasing efficiency, the reasoning behind them and why he should use them and gave him a project to practise this skill by going through all his previous books and notes and reorganise them by the method Dreamer taught him.


<Man I understand your reasoning but doing this stuff and remembering everything is hard and tiring.>
<Just practice with it Peter, with me reminding you once you make these your habits they will help you lifelong. You can also make pocket money with your notes once you reorganize everything by selling copies to kids in your same classes and it might make you popular. Just so kids could get your notes. You could also tutor for some more extra cash.>
"Peter honey, Its time for dinner."
"Coming, Aunt May."


<Wow it is already nighttime.> Thought as he got up and turned to leave.
<Stop right there. Come back and clear the table up and pack your bag before you go down.>

<Nope, do it right now your body will feel lethargic after eating and you will just sleep.>
<Fiiine> whined peter as he set about organising and packing everything into his school bag before going down for dinner.


"So what were you doing in your room all day Peter."
"Uh"
<Tell her you found a website for students with tips about better organization and techniques to have perfect handwriting and were working on that.>


"I uh, found a website on the internet it had a lot of cool tips like one's to get perfect handwriting, one for writing notes in a way which is much easier to read and a lot of Lifehacks."
"What is a Lifehack" asked Ben curiously
"Well, it generally a tip or trick you know like how to fold clothes in two steps and stuff like that. Anyway, so I decided I will give all of them a shot."


"That is a good decision Peter, always try to improve yourself." Said May
"Yeah" and the rest of dinner went well with them chatting and telling each other what they had done today etc.


Back in his room after dinner, Peter sat on the Computer but before he could start on playing some games, dreamer said <Peter, do you have a daily time table >
<Nope>
<Then maybe you should have one>
<What are you some sort of alien self help guide, sheesh>



 said Peter as he went back to the computer but this time he couldn't move his hand
<Come on, I don't want to do it right now> said peter struggling to control his hand, after a few more tries he gave up.
<Fine, fine I will do it> So with the insistence of Dreamer Peter drew up a new flexible schedule.
But by the time they completed, it was already time to sleep.


<Man, I didn't get to have a single bit of Fun today.> complained Peter
< It's not like you have to do this daily, it is a one-time thing for a Long time until a major change happens in your day to day life.>
<Now change into PJ's get into the Bed>
Peter reluctantly nodded and changed his clothes and got into bed and then started counting sheep.
<Why are you counting sheep?> asked Dreamer
<You know to get sleep.>

There was a brief silence before peter adjusted himself into a comfortable position while grumbling in his mind about his stupidity before Dreamer put Peter into Deep sleep.
Dreamer thought 'This is going to be a long few months before he gets into the habits automatically and they understand each other a lot better'

One day, during a tourism visit in Japan I got visited by the almighty Truck Kun. This is how I became a Klynta.

Debbie didn't comment much about Scarlet's errand as she kept the poker face.
"Welcome back."
Scarlet nodded and tried to wipe the smile off her face. The governess noted that despite the calm mask on the blogger's face, Scarlet's eyes were livelier now. The lady was glad that her little assignment had done the trick.
"I was able to look through most of the story," she informed Scarlet and the girl became more serious. "I'm impressed by your creative ideas. Can you tell me where you got the inspiration from?"
Scarlet blushed at the praise and shuffled awkwardly. "I was researching when I came across something called Cats the Musical from Broadway*... I thought that it would be easier to model some people after talking cats to better portray their struggles in a comical manner?"
Debbie looked pleased with Scarlet's response and had a huge smile on her face. "Great! While it isn't ready to be turned into a book, I think we should commemorate your very first masterpiece. Does this story have a title?"
Scarlet didn't seem to think of it in a bad way, so Debbie was secretly relieved. Rejection can be a very harsh thing for writers and she didn't want to stamp out the burning flame in Scarlet. It might not be a huge bonfire yet, but the passion was still there. Fortunately, the girl was a fighter. She accepted it with grace and moved on, seeking further improvement.
"I think we can call it 'A Catty Conversation'. Would you mind pointing out where exactly I've gone wrong?"
Debbie blinked. "All in due time, Scarlet. For a first attempt, it was very good. I just needed something to be the gauge of your current abilities before we move on from there. From what I can see, you have a rather strong grasp of the English language. The grammar and structure are not worrying. You also have an intuitive sense of how to pace your stories with a very natural way of telling it. Your characters spring to life with how you describe your scenes, although some transitions can be shaky. But don't worry, we will work on them."
The blogger nodded as she heard her mentor's feedback. "Actually, I've been thinking of a question for a while now."
"Yes?"
Scarlet hesitated. Should she admit that she wasn't a natural prodigy when it came to writing? Would Debbie no longer be impressed or will she express her disappointment? After a while, Scarlet eventually decided to go with the truth. After all, it was harder to conceal the truth with time. The blogger knew that if she was truthful right from the start, she wouldn't disappoint the editor too much. Sure, Debbie might be disappointed for a while, but maybe she would come to understand how to help Scarlet more?
"Actually, I researched some writing tips for writers online before I attempted to write something. A Catty Conversation isn't my first work. It's probably my third or fourth? I've lost count. Also, It has been revised twice and edited once before I submitted it. I just want to know, how does an author create their personal style? I've tried finding answers for there isn't a definite answer."
Debbie smiled. It's a question that all young writers ask. Sadly, not even she could give them the answer. Instead, the editor gave Scarlet her very first homework.
"It's a very good question, Scarlet. I would be rather worried if you hadn't asked about it or research anything about writing beforehand. This shows that you have a levelled head and aren't egotistical. There's definitely room for improvements for everybody in the writing world. It doesn't matter if you're young or old, have published best-sellers or won the Nobel Peace Prize. Style is something that comes over time with experience, practice and wisdom. It's not learnt or taught, it is discovered and created. Think of a writer's style as their writing personality and DNA. It's unique to every individual."
She then picked up the blank exercise book and smiled. "This is going to be a very good starter. I'd like you to write all the questions you have about writing and write them down in this book and I will answer them next week. Don't forget to decorate the book and give it a name too!"
The blogger was puzzled. "I have to give this book a name too?"
Debbie looked at her as if that Scarlet was asking if the sky was blue today. "Of course! It's only natural, right? You name the things that are precious to you. For writers, what can be more important than books?"
Scarlet didn't know what to say. One should never judge a book by their cover, and at this moment, she thinks that it is especially true for Debbie who packed her things and bid the Wilde's goodbye. On the surface, Debbie sounded sane and looked nothing out of the ordinary. However, after getting to know her tutor a little better, Scarlet decided that all writers have to be a little bit insane at the very least to produce such stories.
Once Debbie left, Scarlet looked at the book in her hand. The press plants were currently still in the processing. Tina was helping her to dry them out by pressing them in between the pages of thick phone books. Alex had also agreed to lend Scarlet some of her art supplies when the plants were ready. Scarlet was excited about how the communication diary would turn out, but for now, she had to come up with a name.
Something that means secret... Scarlet didn't really know the meaning of names, so the best way to do it was by searching it up on the internet. It didn't take her long to find a list of names that had 'secret' in their meaning.
As she scrolled down the names, one of them caught her eye. It was a name with a double meaning and Scarlet thought that it was actually perfect for her first communication diary.
"From this day forth, you shall be known as Judah!" the blogger proudly announced to the blank exercise book.

"I haven't introduced myself yet. Sorry for that. My name is Seele Zauga, but you can call me Seeley. It is a pleasure to meet you, in more ways than one", she said with a slight curtsy and giggle as she left through the door.

As Seele Zauga left, she thought 'Show Device'. Nothing happened. She thought 'Show Device' again but nothing happened.

"That's odd, must've misplaced it somewhere. I'll ask Mommy to give me another one", she said to herself as she looked up and suddenly shot off into the sky, her wing fully elongated and magestically flapping going up and down.

Bey stared at the door where the woman had exited from and thought, "She has a man's name...so weird why was she talking like I might know her".

He looked down at his paws and thought 'Show Device' and the device reappeared in his hands. He asked CyReign "So how do I leave this place?".

[WB MASTER. ON THIS DEVICE LOOK ON THE TOP LEFT HAND SIDE. THERE SHOULD BE AN OPTION WHICH SAYS 'MENU'. CLICK THAT THEN CLICK 'TERMINAL']

Bey saw that at the top of the screen of the device he was holding, there were a few options. On the top left there was a button in blue called 'MENU', in the middle there was a greyed out button with nothing written on it and on the far right was another greyed out button, but this one had the writing 'CHAT' on it.

"What happens if I click the 'CHAT' button CyReign?", he asked the AI.

[NOTHING WILL HAPPEN NOW MASTER AS YOU HAVE NOT UNLOCKED THAT FEATURE. FOR NOW, PLEASE CLICK 'MENU' THEN CLICK 'TERMINAL']

Bey clicked the 'MENU' button which was in blue and the whole screen was filled with many options which were all greyed out except in the middle, which had a button called 'TERMINAL' in the same blue colour as the 'MENU' button. He clicked it and was presented with a blue button in the middle of the screen which read 'Go on Adventure'.

"What do I do next CyReign?", he thought.

At the top of the screen a small green text appeared.

[MASTER CLICK ON 'GO ON ADVENTURE']

He clicked it and was presented with a loading screen, a cute blueish creature was turning the pages of what looked like a book, at the bottom there was the loading bar in orange but was filling up with green indicating the progress of how much loading had been completed.

At the middle top of the screen was a text box which read:

As he was reading the text and trying to figure out what he was reading, the loading screen finished and he felt a little tingle. 

He noticed that his paws that was holding the device was fading away.

"Whaaa what's happening to me!", he thought to himself as he started to panic. He closed his eyes.

When he opened them again, he noticed he was in Rakau Plains. He noticed that he was still holding the device and there was writing on the screen.

[CONGRATULATIONS MASTER, THAT WAS YOUR FIRST EXPERIENCE IN TELEPORTING]

Bey was confused, not just by the teleporting that he experienced but by the text that he saw on the loading screen. Before he could ask anything, CyReign was writing something.

[MASTER PLEASE GO AHEAD AND SUMMON YOUR BOT 'ALPHA']

Bey noticed that previously his screen showed what looked like a little party consisting of him and Alpha, but now the screen only showed a pixelated version of him there, on the left written 'Bey' with a health gauge in green below his name. His small character was situated in Rakua Plains. He clicked the 'SUMMON ALPHA' button and Alpha appeared right next to him, both on the device and next to him in person.

"Woah", Bey thought as he was surprised by the sudden appearence of Alpha. "I need to get used to this".

In small green writing at the top of the screen CyReign was typing.

[OK MASTER, IT'S TIME TO START FARMING. YOU SEE ON YOUR DEVICE IT SHOWS THERE IS A RAFFY NOT TOO FAR FROM YOU. CLICK YOUR BOT 'ALPHA' THEN CLICK THE RAFFY ON YOUR DISPLAY]

Bey clicked on Alpha on the screen then the Raffy that was not too far from them. He didn't turn around to have a look at the Raffy as he was scared the same luring effect will occur again and he would lose control.

Alpha started to move fluidly towards the Raffy behind him. He followed Alpha with his gaze and noticed Alpha was heading towards a Raffy that was minding it's own business. The Raffy's back was towards them so Bey knew he was safe, so long as their gazes didn't meet he felt the lure wasn't so bad.

Alpha went right next to the Raffy, lifted his Staff and swung it down on the Raffy.

THUMP

Bey looked at his screen and noticed now it showed the Raffy next to them with a small green health window on top of it's head. The Raffy's health went down by one third after the attack delivered by Alpha. On the screen he noticed the Raffy turn around and it's face didn't look so docile but angry. 

It suddenly charged for Alpha.

Alpha's green health bar turned red and showed that most of the health disappeared 

The Raffy looked ready for another attack.

"Oh my days this feels like the first battle in a P*kemon game", thought Bey to himself, the thought coming from deep within.

Getting ready to go to Tennessee for the first time. It was great as well they get to go to the University of Tennessee. They were about to start a new life. They love the life they have but with them having overprotective parents and aunts and uncles it made it hard on them. They could not date or anything without there uncles being in the background always watch. So neither of them have ever kissed a boy. They were not even allowed to go to parties. So they pretty much lived a sheltered life. So the girls where ready to let loss some. If only they knew they were going to meet their mates. Yes mates not the girls are not your normal girls they are werewolves so they were hoping to find love. The one that last forever. So the girls went out and hide behind a tree to strip off their clothes to shift to the wolves. Audreys wolf was a white wolf with a blue tint to it. Like her mother wolf but a little darker than her mother. Leightons wolf was a grey and her ears tips black. Like her father's. They started to run and play around hoping to pass time. They both come to a clearing with beach just up ahead. Leighton walk up ahead to check to make sure no one was there. Once she mind linked Audrey coast was clear. Everyone worried for Audrey because her wolf was a rare one just like her mother's. Once Audrey come out she shifted back to her human self just like Leighton. Audrey waved her hand and sitting on the ground was two bikinis one has hot pink the other was a light blue.

Harry looked at the multiple runic circles and arrays he had drawn on the wall with a frown before he took out his wand and took a few steps away from it.

Then he pointed his wand at the wall and said "Titillando" the incantation of the tickling hex and a small purple ball came out of his wand, struck the wall and got absorbed by the wall.

He waited for the wall to release the spell back at him once again but when it didn't work for half a minute, he let out a sigh and put his wand back in it's holster before walking up to the runes once again.

He was working on runes that would capture and release the spells thrown at them so that he could put them on his robes but so far, he had not met with any success.

Well, he knew from the very start that this was going to be a hard project so he was not very disheartened. He also knew that he would not be able to reflect back all the spells but that was alright.

He would eventually make his robes immune to all the spells one way or another. If he was able to reflect back some of the spells thrown at him, then that would just an additional benefit.

He gave one last look at the wall before he sat down on the desk, taking out the quill and parchment and trying to create a new runic system from the scratch before Selena came out from under his sleeves and said "Someone is coming."

He put the quill down and looked at her "Who?"

The Horned Serpent waited for a few moments, probably sensing the magic that was coming in their direction before she turned to him and replied "It's Hermione."

He nodded at her and she went back under his sleeves.

He wondered if he should make some clothes for her that would keep her safe if he ever got into a fight.

He remembered from the movies that Voldemort had put a ton of charms on his pet snake Nagini which had the effect of making her almost immune to spells. Perhaps he would be able to do something like that for Selena as well.

As he thought about that, the door opened at an excited Hermione Granger entered the room with a huge smile and he instantly became wary of her.

An excited Hermione Granger usually meant trouble for him and he could only hope that she had not she had not started some form of campaign for the welfare of the Cornish Pixies or something equally foolish like that.

His wary expression only seemed to further excite her as her smile turned wider and she came up to his desk and dropped a whole bunch of paper in front of him.

"Hello Hermione." He said, his eyes looking warily at the large bundle of papers, wondering if it was what he thought it was "Can you tell me what this is?"

"Harry. This is the manuscript of the book that you told me to write." She said happily and he almost groaned. Almost.

But he knew that showing such a negative reaction to her hard work would seriously put a dent on her growing confidence so he would never do such a thing.

Instead, he smiled and patted her cheeks affectionately "Good job Hermione. I knew you would be able to do it within the time frame."

Then he looked at the bundle of 1500 or so pages and inwardly frowned.

At the start of this holiday, he had asked Hermione to write a book for the muggle parents of the muggleborns.

It did not need to be very well written or very entertaining. It just needed to be written with the facts about the magical world that is generally not told to the muggle population by the Hogwarts teachers.

It also needed to be filled with tips on what they could do to help their magical children and what not.

In essence, it would be the first book in history written by a magical person that would help the muggle parents understand the magical world to a greater degree so that they would be able to provide their children with better support.

When he had tasked Hermione to finished this job within the time limit, he had known that she would pull through for him even if she had to pull all nighters and had even allowed her to use the time turner with him.

And she had pulled through for him.

He could guess that writing these 1500 pages must have taken her a lot of hard work and time.

But he could not really sell a 1500 pages long book to the muggle parents now could he?

So with a heavy heart he told her "Hermione. Thank you for the hard work and effort you put behind writing this thing. But we cannot publish a book with so many pages."

"Can you cut down the size of this book so that it could be about 300-500 pages long? That way even the poor muggle parents would easily be able to afford our book."

He said 'our' book because he was going to put his name as the co-author of this book even though it was Hermione who had actually written it all on her own.

He had two very important reasons to do so.

1. If the book was sold by Hermione's name, then very few people would buy it. After all, she was just a 12 year old girl so what would she know about writing the book. He had a feeling that if the book was released with just her as the author, then she would get a lot of hate from the press and that would not be good for her fragile self confidence.

2. The idea of the book was essentially his and he was also the one who had given her the topics to write and research. Plus once she cuts the book down to about 300-500 pages, he would be the one who would make the final changes along with the editing part so he was essentially the co-author of the book whether he wanted or not.

Hermione looked a little crestfallen at his words and he grimaced at that. He had not wanted the girl to feel so down.

Cutting the book to 1/3rd of it's original size was like telling her that 2/3rd of the things that she wrote were not important. That 2/3rd of her hard work and time were not important. Such a thing would hurt any person.

It was essentially his fault that such a mistake was made. When he had told her to write a book for him, he had not told her the exact amount of pages that she needed to write and had forgotten how over-the-top Hermione could be sometimes.

He stood up in order to console her but before he could do that, her expression brightened up on her own and he gave him a firm nod.

"I'll do that Harry. I'm happy as long as we could sell the book to all the non magical parents and inform them about the magical world in more detail."

And before he could even say anything else, she took the bundle of papers from his desk and left.

And he had not even read the manuscript at all.

Oh well, it looked he'll just have to believe that she would do a good job in writing the book and not just fill it with boring facts.

Hopefully her parents would be able to help her with that.

And if the book turned out to be a disaster, then they could just write a better one during their second year and publish it next year.

With that, he put such thoughts out of his mind and picked up the carving quill once again.

It was time to get back to work.


Author's Note:- I always felt that the wizards should have wrote at least a few books about the magical world for the muggles so that muggle parents would be able to understand more about the world they were sending their child into. But such a book was never shown in the movie and it was clear that there was a huge divide between the people living the magical world and the people living in the muggle world.

So if I was wizard, then I would definitely write a book for the muggle parents and I have no doubt that such a book would definitely be bought by almost every muggle parents who cared about their children.
