So now I decided to write the main story of this novel about search engines and treasure hunters, in the form of raw materials. And when I'll write a full novel. I can rewrite it again, for the fourth time, with an already more thorough revision.

After I found out that what we are currently learning is spellcasting and not magic I was surprised. It wasn't explicitly mentioned anywhere, but I was able to build a theory from all the scraps of information I had found until Sunday night.
Now while lying in bed, I started to organize all the information gathered so far.
Magic is not spellcasting, but spellcasting is magic.
Spellcasting is an easier version of magic.
Magic consists of many things and thus branched into many fields. However, all magic is cast mostly in the same way, by channeling magic. 
At least 30% of the magic process is always channeling magic. Other parts can differ greatly depending on the branch of magic being used. 
Wands are actually unneeded tools created to make using magic easier. 
It is not much, but that is enough to topple my understanding of the world. My knowledge was based solely on films and I knew that it wasn't accurate, but not that much!
Apparently, magic wands are a European instrument for channeling magic that became vastly popular in America, because it makes channeling of magic easier and faster. However, other continents and regions don't consider wands mandatory part of wizard equipment. 
I pieced it out from wand making books and some history books, where wizards from Japan and China were mentioned. It was never specified that they did not use wands, but from the description of some of their actions I understood simple truth, they used hands to do magic. 
That made me remember, that Dumbledore did not use any words as well after sorting ceremony to call music or other magical stuff, so chanting spells is unneeded to do magic. That got me thinking about why we are using wands or chant words if we can use magic just via hands, silently.
That led to me reading the book of charms for the first year and in actuality, it does not explain one bit how to do magic or how it works! However, it explains how to cast some specific spells by spelling out Latin words and doing specific gestures with wands. 
At that point, I understood, that I needed to practice and experiment with spells, but I was too tired to go out of bed and looking for stuff to experiment with or place where I can do so safely. Moreover, it was very late, so I needed to go to sleep because tomorrow a new study week is starting. 
That's when I thought about the spells menu.

I saw kind of hologram of a hand with wand doing some gestures, moving in a specific way and directions and words 'Incendio' were said during these movements. Words started with movements and ended with them as well.
After that, the wand spits fire from the tip.
I tried time and time again while paying attention to my feelings, body, and wand in my hands. At first, I haven't felt anything but as time passed. I was doing better with the spell and even succeeded once to cast it… by luck. But anyway! Soon, I noticed that if I do move correctly and follow with words, my spell is cast successfully, however, if do a mistake right at the last moment I feel slight discomfort inside my body. 
That is not solid proof, but my theory so far is that spellcasting makes the process of magic simpler. Rather than consciously controlling magic, your precise gestures and words have the same effect. And wands make that process so much easier by simplifying channeling of magic. 
Basically, you have no idea how magic actually works when you do it. Thus, you just know how to cast a spell and nothing more. This is why I call it spellcasting for now. I have not found any official terminology for that. Learning pure magic without wands is indeed harder. I am studying topic with system abilities, for 2 days straight with an adult mentality and I barely scratched the surface, while following some commands I was able to nearly master casting of one spell in a span of… an hour? Maximum hour and a half. 
After thinking, theorizing and practicing spell for a very long time, it was around midnight. That is when I received another notification.

Then I noticed how late it is and decided that it's time to sleep.

Breakfast went calm and Gryffindor was informed of their flying lesson in the coming Thursday. Well, not that it matters to me. I was still engrossed in understanding how magic works. 
I decided for myself, that I can't let myself fail and need to concentrate on subjects at hand and then go into personal researches. Otherwise, fail will be my only result. 
I concentrated on my studies and finishing all the books of the first-year program. And compared to books I read before, I was not reading them for skills or research. I was really studying and memorizing them to pass exams with ease. That meant I spend more time on each book and have to reread them to further memorize the content. 
As a result of me, having a clear goal, time was passing horrendously fast. Sometimes, I wished to have more time in a day. I was getting notifications left and right, while studying, but I mostly ignored them, because there was only herbology skill with new abilities, while other new skills needed to reach a minimum of 15 to grant an ability. As for upgrades I needed to reach 25 or 30 in corresponding skills.
Thanks to rigorous training, by Wednesday evening I got to level 5.

The entrance led straight to the village square, Rastel saw different races of humans, dwarves, beastmen, elves and even a few draconians, but mostly humans, there were a lot of humans.
The square also served as a market place as many people were going about buying and selling with stalls set up. Among the populace, he could recognize the players by the green arrow suspended above their heads. Players accounted for a substantial amount of the village's population.
The first thing he needed was spells. The system did not give anything other than the money and dagger, no skills were given to players, and he had to get those for himself.
The system allowed you to gain skills by learning from a school or you could create skills for yourself by gaining enlighten1ment and practicing moves. There were no skill points to upgrade skills. The level and power of your skills depended entirely on your proficiency with it, how much you use it and your base stats.
Although there were no skill points, there were stat points with 3 points given for every level up, with the basic stats being; Strength, Dexterity, Agility, Mentality, intelligence and Stamina. There were also minor stats such as mana and physical resistance, poison resistance etc. Those are affected by the base stats and any extra effort the player put into developing them.

He sighed when he saw it, muan's basic strength really is incredibly weak. 3 strength? What the heck was that!? That's the strength of a normal human child! He swiped up the screen and moved into the crowd to look for a library. The best and easiest way for him to get skills was by reading books.
A player found out about this hack about three months into the game's release. As long as you finished a book on some particular skill, you automatically learn it. The only set back was that it had to be an easy basic skill.
The player also found out something a little bit special. Muan characters could increase their intelligence and mentality stat through reading books! It was an ability exclusively given to muans, just like how elves had affinity to magic or human races had bloodline powers.
Although it sounded easy, most players disregarded it because they felt it was a waste of time. They would rather find instructors to teach them or figure it out themselves as it was more fun. Besides who could sit down in a library reading books when there were adventures to be had? They weren't a lot of muan players anyway.
But to people like Rastel who loved books, it was very convenient. It was even one of the major reasons why he chose the class in the first place.
As he moved through the crowd, he was able to appreciate the game more, everything was so real! He also felt the rarity of the muan race as he only saw about two or three muans with none been NPC's (none player characters).
He walked around for about thirty minutes but still couldn't find the library. He sat down on a wooden box near an alley tired.
"Why is it so hard to find the library in this village!" he cried.
"Are you lost mister?" a tiny voice sounded beside him.
"Eh, who's there?" he looked around.
A girl beastman came out from behind one of the boxes and looked at him inquisitively with wide eyes.
"Are you looking for the library?" she asked.
Rastel looked at her, she had long blonde hair and feline ears and round yellow eyes. A long brown tail came out of her back and she was dressed in a plain black dress.
He smiled at her, "Yeah, can you tell me where it is?"
She pointed to the building right across the road. It was medium sized and had a diagram of a book in front of it.
"It's right there", she said laughing.
He turned around to look at her sheepishly scratching the back of his head.
"Ha....haha, I didn't see it since I was so tired I guess"
"You are funny mister" she laughed at him again.
"Thanks girl, what's your name by the way?" he asked.
"Lou" she said smiling.
"Alright Lou, thanks for the directions, here's five kryts to get yourself something" he took out five kryts from his pouch and gave it to her.
"Thanks" she said as she took the money and disappeared down the alley.
He watched her go before crossing the road and entering the library.
It was really small for a library, there were about fifteen big shelves, and three small ones by the librarian's counter which were probably for special books. The shelves were arranged around the walls leaving the middle open to be used as a reading area. Tables and chairs filled this spot.
There were only two people there, an old dark skinned human man with a pretty girl with light brown skin who looked around 16 sitting at a table. They both had green arrows suspended above them showing they were players.
Rastel walked to the librarian, a middle-aged elf woman with glasses to ask about the library. He had to admit, elves really were beautiful. Even at that age the librarian still looked attractively charming, although he was not really sure what her age was. Elves aged slowly.
"I'd like to use the library" he said smiling.
The librarian smiled back revealing a perfect set of teeth as she answered, "No problem, it's free. You would have to pay an amount of 15 kryts if you want to borrow a book though"
"No need, I'm just reading" he said and went to the first shelf.
He looked at all the books there then sighed, this was going take a long time. He took the first ten books on the shelf and went to a table opposite the old man and the girl. The man raised his head from the book he was reading to look at him, he smiled at him and nodded. He nodded back then sat down. The girl kept on reading, too concentrated to pay attention to her surroundings.
For the next 1 week in game, Rastel only read books in the library once he logged in. This accounted for about 3 days in the normal world, time ran 3 times faster in the game. He spent all his money buying bread to keep his Hp up as he read, it was possible to die from starvation. He finished the books in the library shelve after shelve gaining multiple skills as he went.
Magic, mining, herb gathering, forgery, he gained basic proficiency in a lot of skills. There were so many notifications for learnt skills he grew numb to the "PING!" sound that accompanied each one. The old man and the girl were also there throughout the time reading, it seemed like they also wanted to finish the books there.
Rastel was a fast reader and finished all the books within the week. By that time, the old man and girl were barely finished. He was already familiar with them and greeted them as he dropped of the last books on the shelf.
"Old man, it seems I'll be leaving you here"
"Indeed, you're quite the fast reader" the man said laughing.
The girl looked up at him then smiled shyly, she went back to the book afterwards.
"I'll be on my way then, take care of yourself old man" he waved as he left.
"You too young lad, we'll meet again if we're fated". The old man called out.
Rastel said goodbye to the librarian too as he left. They had grown friendlier as he continuously visited to the library.
He stepped outside and felt the sun on his face. It was time for him to start his adventures for real.
Reading all the books in the library gave him 30 points to his intelligence and 23 to his mentality. For a mage, this was the best since his attack power would greatly increase and so would his mana.
He found his way to the village gates, it was time to go hunting. He was down to 4 kryts, a pitiful amount, and needed to make more money and also increase his level.
He was still at level 0 after all this while.

Chapter 2: Farewell Akiko-san... (T^T)
Inside the Anbu headquarter, there were lot of eyes fixed on Yuu, afterall not everyone moves without mask in this place. The looked at him and then get back on their work.
Soon he reached to a person.
??: Hello kid, I am Anbu's Squad captain, Code name Bear. And you may be thinking why we have called you in such a dark place?
Surely Yuu knew the answer: No, I know the answer but before everything can I know something?
Squad Captain: *smiled in his mask* Oohh so you you know the answer… then it's great. Ask what you want to know.
Yuu: I want to know the ranking structures of all ninjas
Yuu knew the ranking structure from Naruto anime but still he wasn't sure if this also same in here.
Squad Captain: OK. Lets start from the lowest Genin, who are noob or new, then comes chunin, who are experienced but still not that great and then comes Genin, who have high experience and are elites among others.
After that it's us anbu's. Who specialize in a vast field. We are also divided into ranks, lowest anbu, then Squad Captain or leader, then Anbu Captain and then Special force anbu who are under Hokage-sama. Also, before hokage sama there are 4 kage's, with different ranks 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd and 4 th rank Kage.
Squad Captain: Anything else?
Yuu heared everything and his guess was correct. There were changes in the structure and ranks. Like kages, where they had different name before adding kage but here they were simple know as 4 kage's.
Yuu pondered for a second and then answered: No I don't have any questions
Squad Captain: Here… *handing him few sheets* all of your work is written here and here is your badge. Don't loose it…
After that squad captain leave the place, leaving him alone.
Yuu looked at the sheets and read all the instructions, like where to get tool and where he coult get his clothing and masks and at the end was about him. "Yuu – Subsitute member" and "Code name= Poker"
The reason they had chosen Poker as his code name was because of his nature. As Yuu acts like a kid in front of Akiko-san but changes his nature and face reaction in front of enemy so much that it feels like different person.
Thus making it harder to understand his true nature. And that's how he was give this new name "Poker"
After reading the information he reached the place where he will get his new clothes and after finding it he wore them.
His new clothes were simple except all the colors were just black except his mask, which was in plain white. The mask was just plain white with not pattern nothing, which really suits his code name.
After wearing his new clothes and mask he walked towards the library like place where they had all scroll.
Yuu wasn't good with his new way of seeing it, as he was now behind the mask. So it was difficult to adjust. But when he reached the place where all scrolls were stored, his eyes grew wide. He was shocked to see number of scrolls they had.
Yuu showed his badge and enter the place. And started reading anything he liked. From Gen-jutsu to Nin-Jutsu.
Because Yuu knew a lot of Ninjutsu already, he didn't waste much time in them but focused more on tai and genjustu's.
The place didn't allow to take away any book but you can copy them. But Yuu didn't had any paper or pen thus he sat and started read all of them.
Time passed by and he kept on reading and finally night fall outside, though inside the headquarter, it was same. After  few more hours of reading, he left the place and went back to Akiko-san's place.
Yuu made a new house, in the hole of the big tree in the forest and then after changing back to his ordinary clothes. He visited Akiko-san.
Akiko: You are back? Mann it was really tiring without you…
Yuu smiled: I am but temporarily..
Akiko's eye frowned: What do you mean by that?
Yuu: I'll be leaving this place as I have a new job offer and it is really great. So ill be leaving…
Akiko was paused for a second:… Are you sure? I mean you can leave if you feel like it but don't you think that it's not worth it. Look this whole place was made with your decision and all those new recipes… Are you really leaving?
Yuu took a deep breath: Yes…
Silence had fallen around. But after a few minutes, Akiko noded and agreed with Yuu's Decision, she thought, 'it's his life and I shouldn't interfare'.
After that Yuu had a good food while Akiko san gone to take dip in the bath tub. Time passed by and Yuu finished his food and cleaned his dishes. After that he also go to take a dip in the bath tub but…
The moment he opened the door he saw a fairy.
Akiko's hair was still wet and she still hadn't wear any clothes, meaning fully nude. And after seeing Yuu, her face had gone full red. Though she always think her as a kid but sometime Yuu acted more mature than his age.
Which was the reason she had a full red face.
On the other side, Yuu was just stunned by this scene. He was paused for a second and then closed the door and said, "sorry" and left the place.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!", this was the shout made by Akiko.
After that both were silent and both went to sleep in their own place. Yuu as usual in the kitchen.
Next day, Yuu took his old stuff and was read to leave the place. After having some food he took his clothes and was leaving but he turned towards Akiko-san and open his mouth to say something but stopped in middle.
Akiko looked at Yuu, who was trying to say something but she didn't know what to do at this time.
Yuu,  then just smiled and said, "farewell, Akiko-san… Hope we meet very soon and… Nothing"
After that yuu left the place leaving Akiko full of questions behind.
Yuu again went to his new base, which was inside the trunk of a big tree, which was a hole. There he again changed to his anbu clothes and left for the head quarter.

An extreme hardcore Naruto fan was on it’s way to home, after doing Padoru parade with his friends. But on his way, he saw a kid running towards the ball which was in between the road and from the front a truck was coming. As usual as a good guy and a proud otaku he jumped and saved the kid but he died.
His only regret was that he couldn’t learn all the jutsus from Naurto anime.
But GOD has not forsaken good people and thus he is re-born to a different world just like Naruto one, where ninjas are real and you can be a Hokage…

Shortly after Jesse finished his ten fights, and got proclaimed as the new champion, Sarah was done speaking with seven fighters who are currently in the club. One more from the list arrived in the meantime so that made a total of eight candidates with whom she spoke.
She didn't take long to talk to each of them, it was mostly meet-and-greet where she gets to gauge her first impression: would she trust them enough to allow them to fight by her side? Of course, no one gets her trust like Aiden, but Sarah decided to believe in her instincts and use her first impression as a guide if the person in front of her is suitable for the game that will start soon. And of course, Sarah wants to find out more about their motivation for coming to this gruesome place and how grateful they will be if she helps them out.
The screens above the arena showed updated status:
'1. Mr. A -> Wins: 723 wins, Losses: 0 losses, Ties: 1
 2. Shift -> Wins: 151, Losses: 2, Ties: 0
 3. Blackstain -> Wins: 124 wins, Losses: 3, Ties: 0
 4. Nyx -> Wins: 12, Losses: 0, Ties: 1
 5. Jay -> Wins: 10, Losses: 0, Ties: 0'
With this, Jesse (aka Jay) officially claimed his position as the champion.
Blackstain didn't show up. Chad told Sarah that Blackstain got delayed in the White Valley club and that after a challenge to the champion, he got seriously hurt and now he is in the hospital. Blackstain lost his champion position there, and a fighter named Spike took his spot.
"Hospital?", Sarah was unable to hide her disappointment. She hoped to meet Blackstain because she didn't meet him last time, and because Aiden listed him in his notes as a person of trust. But they don't have the time for a hospital visit tonight.
With news that there is a new champion, Sarah and her companions decided: their next stop is the White Valley club. If someone can defeat a champion, that person must have noteworthy skills.

The setting in that club was almost the same as in the Black & White club: caged arena in the middle of the lower floor, and VIP rooms on the second level.
The biggest difference from the layout in the Black & White club is that the glass enclosed VIP lounge for the champions and the handler is suspended above and connects to the hallway on the second floor via skybridge.
The handler that goes by name Diva was not so friendly with Sarah like Chad, but she didn't dare to provoke her or show disrespect. That was enough for Sarah. She is not here to make friends, she wants to hire people.
Large screen below the suspended glass room showed:
'1. Mr. A -> Wins: 583 wins, Losses: 0 losses, Ties: 0
2. Shift -> Wins: 172, Losses: 3, Ties: 0
3. Yoda -> Wins: 163 wins, Losses: 4, Ties: 0
4. Twister -> Wins: 78, Losses: 2, Ties: 0
5. Spike -> Wins: 11, Losses: 0, Ties: 0'
Haru was next. Sarah was reluctant to allow Ade and Jamari to go into such a vicious environment to fight. She can see that they are eager to go, but they are just kids, no matter how skillful they are. Sarah would rather see them in their pajamas, reading a book or doing homework… or playing a console game.
All five of them had their masks on, and Diva arranged for six people on the list Sarah got from Chad to come and talk to Sarah (aka Nyx).
Yoda and Spike were in the room as well.
Yoda was curiously looking at Sarah, unable to hide his curiosity.
All the champions and regulars in the fight clubs owned by White family heard rumors of Nyx who came one evening to the Black & White club with Mr. A and ruthlessly demolished two current champions while taking her spot and leaving a vacancy for one champion. And the most amazing thing about that whole evening is her tie outcome with Mr. A who was untouchable before that.
Rumors go that Mr. A was so impressed with her skills that he kissed the back of her palm and asked Nyx to be his girlfriend, right there in the arena. And it must be true, because they held each other while walking away… there is a video of that scene. It played at all fight clubs more than once.
Diva announced less than half an hour ago that the champion's vacancy in Black & White club is filled by a fighter named Jay.
Sarah observed that Spike has no visible injuries and he is quite cocky. His too-high spiky mohawk and presumptuous comments on Haru's fights irritated Sarah. She moved her hand slightly in the air and started running facial recognition on Spike through Eve-vision enabled by her lenses.
She asked Diva if Spike won all his fights tonight, and she was surprised when Diva confirmed.
"This is his first night to come here.", Diva added.
Few minutes later, Eve retrieved data on Spike and displayed it only for Sarah to see: 'Ronald Heine; Born: April 11, 2002; age: 17; listed as missing from September 8, 2019; last seen in front of High School in Springfield, Missouri…'
Sarah furrowed her brows while reading. He does not look that he was kidnaped. He is a runaway? Besides that frustrating mohawk, his posture is straight, his skin is healthy, there are no signs of malnutrition… Why would a young man like that escape home? What other secrets is he hiding? Sarah was more and more interested in Spike. Where did he learn to fight? How can he be unhurt after ten fights? He must be good.
Sarah's eyes sparkled. This might be the right person to test her arm on.
Sarah touched her earpiece and spoke to Haru who was in the middle of his eighth fight: "Challenge Yoda as your eleventh match."
Haru punched his opponent, rendering him unconscious and responded. "Yes, Boss."
Haru had no problems finishing his task. The board showed:
'1. Mr. A -> Wins: 583 wins, Losses: 0 losses, Ties: 0
2. Shift -> Wins: 172, Losses: 3, Ties: 0
3. Twister -> Wins: 78, Losses: 5, Ties: 0
4. Spike -> Wins: 11, Losses: 0, Ties: 0
5. Haru -> Wins: 11, Losses: 0, Ties: 0'
Sarah looked at the standings and thought how Haru needs to pick a nickname.
"I will go next. Wait here.", she told Jesse, Ade and Jamari before turning to Spike: "Don't go anywhere."
Spike lifted his eyebrows smugly at Sarah's obvious challenge. He wondered who is that girl behind the mask and what gives her the right to act so confident in front of him?
Announcer was excited when Sarah and Haru swapped places in the arena: "Ladies and gentlemen! Haru, our latest champion is going to take a well-deserved break after eleven consecutive wins, and the new challenger is the one everyone heard about… the one… the only… NYX! She swept through the Black & White in one night with twelve consecutive wins, and a tie against Mr. A!!! … What will she do tonight?! …"
The crowd cheered and placed their bets as challengers lined up. Number of burly men wanted to try out their strength against this skinny girl behind a mask. She looks like an easy picking, and they can earn themselves a win. Who knows how she won her twelve wins and a tie?
Sarah breezed through her ten fights before challenging Spike.
She reminded herself not to use her left arm. Her first opponent rushed toward her and she hit him with the back of her palm in the face and crushed his jaw like it's made out of glass. She looked at the man wailing on the ground, stunned by her own strength. Sure, she hit the exercise dummy more than once, but she can break wood with her right fist also, so she didn't notice much of a difference… this was the first time she hit a human and the effect is more than she thought it will be.

"Until few weeks ago I would say that there is no such thing as destiny. That we are all masters of our lives and that everything depends on our actions, or lack of it. But I can't help but wonder: why did I not push you away? ... Why does it feel like everything will be OK as long as we are together? ... You are a piece of me that I never knew was missing. Is this destiny?" 
"Mmm... if that is destiny, then I approve it.", Aiden lightly kissed Sarah's shoulder and rested his chin on it.

Volume 3 and its extra chapters are all done and wrapped up. 
Like before, I'm taking a short break before I can start to publish the chapters for Volume 4. This is because, and as you might have expected, I need time to carefully weave through the plot and make sure it is consistent all-around. Having written a hundred chapter, this kind of process needs to happen so that there are no inconsistencies and everything is flowing well right as I want it to be.
