It's an assassin's job to kill and many in the field have a policy; all witnesses must be terminated. Purga, whose real name only the dead are aware of, follows said policy religiously. That's until she is caught during work by a young man who is happy to know he'll be put to death and actively encourages it. To him, being a witness was a blessing, to Purga it was a curse.

It is going to be great writing and winter break and summer is going to be good. (this is my first book so go easy on me)

Lucy's records were very clear. Every expense and income was easily seen. Link quickly flipped through and had a detailed understanding of the territory's financial situation.
Because of the clay mine, Ferde's town hall had a high income but also spent money quickly. They developed the city quickly and also had a skirmish with the southern Kingdom of Delonga.
Another big expense was for the Orida Fortress. During the final battle, various types of material were sent south, and Ferde had been responsible for 60% of it.
It wasn't a stream of money going out; it was more like a flood.
Under these circumstances, Ferde developed the clay mines wildly to export to every corner of Firuman.
From the records, Link could see that the biggest buyers were the Beastmen of the Golden Plains. They steered shabby merchant ships and traveled more than half of the world's coastlines. They really traveled thousands of miles for the trade.
Thus, within one and a half years, the clay mines were practically empty.
"Lord," Lucy said seriously. "With the current speed, we can only mine for two more months. If we don't have a new source of income after that, we will have to reduce developments. Otherwise, we will go bankrupt."
"Oh, this is truly a problem." Link placed the records down and looked out the window. This was the top floor of the Mage Tower. With his great vision, he could see all the way to the ocean from here.
"Last time I left, I talked about the Magnetic Magic Island. Did you send ships to investigate it?"
Lucy nodded and took out another scroll. "This is the second thing I wanted to talk about. We found the island, but the situation isn't great. When we went, we saw the yew ships of the High Elves. They were mining on the island…"
Link was shocked at this and cursed inwardly. These High Elves were troublesome. He couldn't help but slap his forehead. "Oh, this is my fault. I should've told you earlier… What is this scroll?"
"It's the precise marine chart of the continent that our sailors drew. Please take a look."
Link opened the scroll. It indeed was a marine chart. The shape of the coastline looked familiar. Thinking a bit, he realized it was exactly like the map in the game. It was very precise and lived up to the name.
The map noted all the explored islands near Ferde, as well as trade winds, currents, and more. This was extremely valuable for the captains.
Link also saw the Isle of Dawn, Ferde Territory, and the Magnetic Magic Island. He estimated that the Magnetic Magic Island was around 310 miles from Ferde and 300 miles from the Isle of Dawn. It was practically in the middle but just a bit closer to the Isle of Dawn.
This was annoying. If they really got into the specifics, this island belonged to the High Elves. But the mines there were so valuable. How could he just give up?
Link placed the map on the table and tapped it rhythmically. Lucy subconsciously held her breath, waiting for Link's decision with her hands folded over chest. She was the general manager of Scorched City, but before Link, she still felt like the female mercenary. Her young master was getting more and more powerful.
After around two minutes, Link had decided. "This island," he uttered, "is ours."
Lucy's expression froze. "Are we going to war?"
Ferde had been developing their navy for more than one year and was quite powerful. It now had seven three-masted magic warships. With the Yabbas' arrival, many magic cannons and muskets were added to the ships, strengthening them.
Now, the Ferde Navy was a force to be reckoned with in the seas. However, they didn't have much status. They hadn't experienced battle yet, let alone shed any blood. The other territory lords nearby called them boy scouts. They weren't too intimidating for pirates either.
If they could fight even a small skirmish with the High Elves and their powerful navy, the Ferde Navy's reputation would rise as long as they didn't lose terribly.
Link shook his head. "No, no, we can't declare war so easily."
"Then how do we get it? The High Elves have started mining already," Lucy said. The metals were valuable, and they weren't stupid. How could they hand it over without putting up a fight?
Link shook his head with a smile. Rising, he walked to the window and looked at the dark clouds in the sky. "Another year has passed," he lamented. "It's early summer again."
Lucy was confused and reflexively replied, "Yeah, time passes quickly."
"Looking at the weather, I think a hurricane will come soon. Send my order to the general and tell him to prepare a fleet to go towards the island at any time."
Lucy was still confused. "But Master Grenci said earlier that there wouldn't be any hurricanes at this time."
Master Grenci was quite well-versed in the changes of weather and had practically become the weatherman of Ferde. He would send alerts of any bad weather. This helped to prevent losses for the territory. Now, many captains would ask Master Grenci for weather predictions before going out to sea.
Link chuckled. "No, no. Master Grenci is wrong this time."
Lucy couldn't refute him. Link was a Legendary Magician while Grenci was at Level-7. There was such a big difference between them. If he said Grenci was wrong, then Grenci was wrong.
"Then I'll go send the warning."
"Okay, go. Remember to tell the navy to get ready. Once the hurricane passes, we'll go to the island."
Hearing this, a lightbulb went off in Lucy's mind. She seemed to grasp something, but she couldn't figure out the details. After a blank moment, it clicked. Eyes flashing, she asked, "Do you mean—"
Link waved his hand. "Good that you understand but don't say anything. Remember, we don't know anything. We just have good luck. Of course, we move fast too!"
"Understood!" Lucy walked away, deeply impressed.
After Lucy left, Link went back to the table and continued looking at the map. After a moment, he hit his forehead, sighing. Natural resources will always be used up. If we want to keep up the development, Ferde must have its own specialty.
Leaning back in the lounge chair, he used the Magician's Hand to rock it. Link looked out at the window at the activity and fell into deep thought.
After a long time, he suddenly stood up and took out a blank scroll. He wrote, "enchantment" on the cover with runes and "Link Morani" in small font on the bottom right corner.
He had decided to develop enchantment workshops in Ferde and steal the High Elves' business!
After writing, Link opened the scroll. He was calm now. His enchantment skills were known throughout the continent for being detailed and perfect. Even the enchanters in the Isle of Dawn couldn't compare.
In magic theory, Link had dealt with Talisman Enchanting, modern High Elf enchanting, dragon enchanting, and more. He had a wide range, and these theories had been fermenting in his mind. After becoming a Legendary Magician, the enchantment systems matured too.
Brainstorming for a bit, Link began writing.
He didn't write a foreword because this was his first book. He wanted his first advisor Herrera to write it to show his respect.
Right now, the enchantment was already mature in his mind. Moving his pen, his thoughts streamed out like water.
The framework was completed within an hour. Link went back to revise it. After two revisions, it was complete with 36873 words. Every word was needed—it couldn't be a word more or less.
After that, Link started writing the second book. This was titled Beginner Enchantment Magic. This book was easy as well, but the content was more cumbersome. Link calmed himself down and wrote it down bit by bit. He tried to make it clear-cut so people could understand easily.
Time flew by. When Link finished the first draft, it was already night. His ears twitched, and he heard familiar footsteps.
There are three people: Celine, Jacker, and Lucy. Yes, they're ready.
From the sounds, Link knew that the three were at the door. Using his thoughts, he opened the door.
Celine had her big fire gun. She walked in with a blooming smile. Seeing Link, she sped up and kissed him on the lips before Lucy and Jacker. The two felt so awkward.
After a while, Celine finally let go and complained, "You didn't even tell me when you came back. I missed you so much."
"Aw, I only left for about a month." Link patted Celine's back and chuckled. "Sit down. Lucy, Jacker, you two sit too."
When everyone took their seats, Jacker said, "Lord, everything is ready. When should we start?"
After learning that the extremely valuable Magnetic Magic Island had been taken by the High Elves when Link was the one to discover it, Jacker had almost exploded. He'd wanted to fight the High Elves right then and there.
He was a Level-7 Warrior now, and Ferde was rich. He wasn't afraid! However, Link wasn't there, and the High Elves were still powerful. He could only restrain himself.
Now that Link said he was going to take the island, Jacker was so excited. He couldn't stand those arrogant High Elves.
Link put away his incomplete enchantment and smiled. "I think now's a good time. Let's start now."
From the side, Celine said, "Just saying, I'm taking part too. How can I not be part of this?"
"Okay, okay, you can join too. You won't miss out."
Link made four communication runestones. He gave Jacker and Celine one each and kept one for himself. The last one would be for the navy general that would stay at the harbor.
"Go get ready. Lucy, the High Elves in Ferde might go to you to protest. You must be prepared."
"No problem. I don't know anything," Lucy replied, grinning.
"Okay, then we'll start now. I'll go out first. Wait for my signal."
With that, Link stood up. White light flashed and an instant later, he was at the rooftop. He whistled softly. One minute later, an invisible dragon descended from the sky. It was Felina.
"How may I be at your service, Duke?"
"Take me to the sea." Link jumped onto Felina's back and cast the Invisibility spell for himself so he wouldn't scare people.
Whoosh! Felina spread her wings and flew towards the sea.


Link was the top Archmage in the entire server. He had just defeated the strongest boss, the Lord of The Deep, Nozama with his party. However, instead of going back to town, he was transported to a secret location with pixelated CG. 

It sort of felt like a vacuum, and within it came a glorious and commanding voice that calls himself the God of Light. 

"Link, would you be willing to be the saviour who will pull the World of Firuman out from the churning abyss?"

What a huge mission! If it was in the real world, Link would have rejected it immediately. However, he was bent on being the hero in game.

"Bring it on!" Link answered confidently.

"Then, best of luck." 

And so begin Link's journey of magic, friendship, betrayal, love and despair in the ever changing World of Firuman.

*** Present

The two contestants were looking at each other, Harry was signaling her with his eyes to lose, to show in front of the entire grade, that the light would win over the dark.

Daphne looked back, her eyes unyielding and unwilling to lose.

Harry went all out for the first time, putting his full force into a final attack.

Daphne stared him down and raised her wand to defend, just barely managing to avoid being blown into the wall, instead, managing to skid back a few steps and counter, holding out against Harry for all she was worth, lashing back at the boy with all the force she could muster.

As Harry raised his wand again, another vicious spell no doubt at the tip of his wand, he found it flying out of his hand.

The young Potter looked at his opponent only to see Daphne wandless as well.

"I think that's quite enough, Daphne, Potter." Iliad said coolly, sending both of his students a look that promised that they were in trouble after the rest of the class had left.

Done with the dueling time, Iliad quickly set up dummies for the entire class to practice on, and they spent the rest of the lesson trying out all the spells they knew on the magically animated dummies which imitated human reactions.

At the end of the lesson, Iliad looked down at the temporary schedule he had been assigned, "I don't think you have any more classes for the rest of the day, there are some Quidditch activities which will be taking place this afternoon if any of you would like to participate in that, and I believe the Exploding Snap club has received permission to operate over the summer break already, so any members may attend their meetings following the same schedule as the regular school year. Feel free to relax as you like on the school premises, no rule breaking." Iliad finished before giving his daughter and Harry a look, "Daphne and Mr Potter, please stay back a few minutes after the end of the class, I would like to have a chat with the two of you."

Harry and Daphne nodded their understanding, waiting for the rest of the class to empty out before approaching their professor's desk.

"What was that?" the older Greengrass asked simply, "What was the point of that dangerous and reckless show that will have half the Slytherins in this class running to their mamas and papas with this information, who will undoubtedly pass on the magnitude of your strength to the Dark Lord?"

"Well," Harry started, "I wanted to show that The Light was clearly stronger than The Dark by beating the witch who is by far the strongest person in Slytherin right now."

Daphne glared back at him, "Like hell, I'd go down for such a stupid reason. As it is, the Greengrass family is not really seen as any kind of bastion of The Dark, and at the rate that things are going, there's no way we're even going to be able to stay neutral. We're going to be forced to declare our alliance with The Light publicly, especially after the attack on our Manor."

"Well, I thought-" Harry began.

"It doesn't matter what you thought, that was a bad move Potter, you're good but you're in no place to be getting cocky," Iliad said before getting up and drawing his wand, pointing it at his two students, "Come, show me whether there's anything behind that attitude of yours or whether it's all just hot air." the Greengrass Lord challenged.

What ensued was yet another furious duel. With Daphne at his side, who was intimately familiar with her father's fighting style, and he himself beginning to get a grasp on the powers that Iliad wielded, Harry, along with Daphne, was able to go toe to toe with Iliad for several minutes at his full strength.

While still pretty restrained from using the exact full extent of his powers in order not to shoot anything lethal at the two kids, Iliad used the extent of his magic and ability in the duel, and when Daphne was hurtled into a wall (which had been cushioned for the purpose of the duels taking place in the preceding class), and stupefied into unconsciousness, her mind faded to black with a sense of satisfaction.

After Daphne fell, it was only moments till Harry was taken out too, both of the children being awakened by Iliad after the end of the duel.

"Still weak," he commented dryly, but even Iliad couldn't block the small smile of pride that stretched across his face for a slight moment before he sent the two children off.

*** Summer at Hogwarts

Training with Iliad continued over the course of the summer, Hermione joined Harry and Daphne in the training as well.

By the end of the summer, the three of them could keep Iliad at bay almost indefinitely, almost always losing out to his greater stamina, but together being at par with the man, infrequently winning duels with some lucky shots in, but usually falling after stretching out the duel for any longer than half an hour.

While Iliad was not the strongest wizard out there, he was certainly still accomplished, and even standing on the same level as the seasoned Greengrass duelist was quite an achievement for 3 students barely about to start their fourth year, and already surpassing even the best that Hogwarts' seniors had to offer.

On the front of the war, there continued to be little progress for either side, as without Voldemort making an appearance, the forces of The Light continued to be just about enough to push back the relentless seemingly random attacks that The Dark kept on executing.

Albus and Arcturus were also usually busy, making only a handful of appearances at Hogwarts, leaving Iliad in charge of maintaining security, and poor Minerva in charge of handling the administration of the school as well as teaching several transfiguration classes, including recreational transfiguration workshops that she held for the students over the summer of her volition.

While their forces were very stretched, The Light had suffered very few casualties since the attack on the Hogwarts Express, and there was no doubt in the minds of anybody that The Dark Lord was planning something major, but nobody had any idea exactly what the insane wizard would do.

Chapter 2332 - Steel Giant
"I'll have to trouble you then, Brother Ye Feng," Sinned Heart said. He felt both grateful and ashamed when Shi Feng had offered to help.
Zero Wing's help was a large part of the reason that Immortal Light had acquired its current strength. Sinned Heart had thought that with Immortal Light's development, it could return the favor, more or less, but it seemed that the Guild needed to rely on Zero Wing once again.
However, Immortal Light's fleet would have a greater chance of reaching Ghost City with Zero Wing's Storm Sailboat.
Sinned Heart then began to make the necessary arrangements for Immortal Light's remaining Bronze Speedboats and sailboat to meet him at Starfall Island for a final struggle.
If Immortal Light could secure the Freedom Alliance's resources, it would qualify as a first-rate naval power. It might even become an overlord in the Apocalypse Empire. After all, the Freedom Alliance controlled five major cities in Sea's End, with more than double the resources it used to have. Moreover, it would likely acquire more as time passed. Naturally, Immortal Light could reap more benefits from its partnership with the Freedom Alliance, as well.
While Sinned Heart mobilized Immortal Light's experts, the other major powers began to do the same.
After just eight hours, sailboats and speedboats crowded Starfall Island's port. The spectacular scene stupefied the adventurer teams and Guilds that rested on the island.
More than 30 expert fleets had docked, and the weakest ship among them was a Bronze Speedboat. Moreover, the weakest fleet had a minimum of 30 Bronze Speedboats and three sailboats. If these fleets cooperated, they could even take on Level 90-plus Mythic ranked sea monsters.
Of all of the fleets present, the most eye-catching was undoubtedly Giant's Heart's.
Giant's Heart's fleet consisted of 100 Bronze Speedboats, over 20 Mysterious-Iron Speedboats, and 10 sailboats. Of the 10 sailboats, four were Bronze rank. Not even the Freedom Alliance's First Fleet had such combat power, yet this wasn't all that Giant's Heart possessed…
"Giant's Heart is terrifyingly powerful. It's no wonder why it defeated Pride Empire in the Fire Dragon Empire," Hundred Leaves, who watched the ships gather from one of Starfall Town's lookout towers, commented as she inspected Giant's Heart's fleet. "Giant's Heart had sought out Passing Monarch to cooperate, but Passing Monarch was too stubborn and refused the offer. He's likely regretting his decision to continue his partnership with Immortal Light."
Even the Sacred Temple was afraid of the naval power Giant's Heart displayed. If Passing Monarch had agreed to work with the Guild, he could've competed for the First Fleet position.
However, Passing Monarch had given this opportunity to Flame Robber.
"Big Sis Leaves, are we really going to hold back the Guild's strength?" the female Cleric beside Hundred Leaves anxiously asked.
"Our position in the Freedom Alliance isn't stable enough. If we openly rely on the Guild's strength, even a fool would realize that we're members of the Sacred Temple, not just a team with the Guild's support," Hundred Leaves said, shaking her head. She then turned toward Silent Entropy's group nearby with a bright smile. "Flame Robber might have Giant's Heart's support, but Silent Entropy won't just take this lying down. All we need to do is watch those two go at each others' throats and wait for an opportune moment."
When Sinned Heart saw the various major powers' fleets from the port, he suddenly felt tiny.
Immortal Light was a top-ranked naval power in the Apocalypse Empire, but if it weren't for the Storm Sailboat, it would be the weakest power here.
Even Shi Feng was surprised when he saw the multiple fleets. He hadn't expected God's Domain's naval powers to develop so quickly, especially Giant's Heart. Even on Dragonheart Island, very few powers could contend with the Guild.
Dragonheart Island's powers weren't limited to the human variety. Many neutral powers also operated from the island, including super-first-rate Guilds and Super Guilds.

Once the fleets were ready, the Freedom Alliance's members began to move crate after crate of cargo onto the various powers' ships. When the representatives saw the cargo, they were stunned into a moment of silence.
"How is this possible!? They want us to transport Primal Void Stone?!"
"There are so many Primal Void Stones here. Has the Freedom Alliance discovered a Primal Void vein?"
Everyone was shocked when they saw the translucent crystals within the crates. All of these players were either experts or upper echelons from major powers, so they had seen many precious items in God's Domain. However, they couldn't help their astonishment when they saw the Primal Void Stones.
Primal Void Stone was a top-tier material that could be used to construct all sorts of high-ranked workshops.
Primal Void Stone could absorb Mana from the void, and although the amount it could store was minute, this Mana could enhance players' mental processing, which was particularly useful to Lifestyle players when they produced items. Buildings made with Primal Void Stone could also help Combat players when training their Skill or Spell Completion Rates.
Hence, the various large Guilds had been desperately collecting Primal Void Stone to construct training rooms or workshops within their Guild Towns to help their members improve.
Unfortunately, Primal Void Stone was a non-bag space item and incredibly rare. Collecting enough stones to construct a training room was a dream at this stage of the game.
And yet, the Freedom Alliance revealed that it had so many available. Why wouldn't this shock the various major powers present?
Seeing so many Primal Void Stones even stunned Shi Feng. He hadn't thought that the Freedom Alliance would have so many in its possession.
The various superpowers had treated buildings constructed with Primal Void Stone as sacred places for their players to improve Skill or Spell Completion Rates and craft items during his previous life. However, due to the scarcity of the stone, even those superpowers had only been able to construct a small number of buildings. Hence, the superpowers' Guild members had had exclusive access to these buildings, and some of these superpowers hadn't even given access to their low-ranked members.
It's no wonder why they want us to head to Ghost City. Shi Feng immediately understood the Freedom Alliance's plans when he saw the crates' contents.
Primal Void Stone could be used for more than constructing buildings. It would also be helpful when improving certain Dark Players' Bloodline density. Hence, Primal Void Stone was extremely popular among Dark Players, who were generally willing to pay three or four times more than the market price.
"I'm sure that you've all seen the Primal Void Stones. As you've probably guessed, the Freedom Alliance has taken control of a Primal Void vein," Flame Robber suddenly announced, smiling. "However, the vein's output is quite high, which makes it difficult to transfer all of the stones. Not even the Freedom Alliance can monopolize all of the stones. Thus, we wish to share our harvest with a sufficiently powerful partner. In return, the Freedom Alliance will only ask for half of the generated profits.
"Not only will this delivery test to Ghost City determine who qualifies to remain a partner with the Freedom Alliance, but we also hope to use the results to find a suitable collaborator for the Primal Void vein's products.
"Whoever among you delivers their shipment to Ghost City first will be invited to work with the Freedom Alliance regarding the Primal Void vein. I do not believe any of our commanders are opposed to this, correct?"
As Flame Robber finished speaking, he glanced at the Freedom Alliance's fleet commanders beside him. Although he seemed as if he were asking for their opinions, he had no intention to negotiate.
"How despicable! Which commander would dare oppose such an idea under such circumstances?" the female Cleric behind Hundred Leaves quietly cursed.
Flame Robber was clearly trying to hand the share of the Primal Void vein to Giant's Heart.
Silent Entropy, who had seemed relatively calm, revealed an ugly expression. On the other hand, the other commanders silently celebrated the decision. The Primal Void vein's harvest would be distributed according to rank, with the First and Second Fleets gaining the most benefits. The remaining fleets would only acquire a small percentage of the goods, so it didn't really matter if they shared the harvest with a foreign power. This distribution would only harm the top-ranked fleets.
None of the various major powers voiced any complaints. Even a fool could tell that Flame Robber was trying to ensure that Giant's Heart received these resources. Anyone that objected now would be setting themselves up for the Freedom Alliance to sever their relationship.
Since none of his fellow commanders had anything to say, Flame Robber announced the beginning of the test.
Like a raging tide, the various major powers' fleets swarmed toward the Chaos Sea. They all wanted to reach Ghost City by nightfall. Not only would the Chaos Sea's Dark Players have more of an advantage at night, but more sea monsters would become active, as well.
"We should go, Brother Ye Feng."
As Sinned Heart watched the various fleets leave the port, he, too, felt an urgent need to move.
"Hold on a second. I have something I'd like to ask Commander Flame Robber before we leave," Shi Feng said. Instead of hurrying as everyone else did, he turned to Flame Robber nearby, and asked, "Commander Flame, to acquire partnership rights for the Primal Void vein, we only need to be the first to deliver our shipment of Void Stones to Ghost City; is that correct?"
Shi Feng's question confused the fleet commanders and the representatives that lingered.
"Why is he asking such a question? Does he think this situation is unfair?"
"What's unfair about it? Strength is everything in God's Domain. If he thinks this is unfair, he can bring it up with Giant's Heart! We watch as they beat this brat to death!"
"He has helped Passing Monarch quite a bit in the past. Does he think Passing Monarch will do something to return the favor?"
All of the Freedom Alliance's commanders remembered Shi Feng, especially Identical Summer, the original Second Fleet's commander. It was Shi Feng's interference that he had fallen to the Fifth Fleet position. Identical Summer wanted nothing more than watch Shi Feng die. Passing Monarch, on the other hand, could only offer a bitter smile.
Even Flame Robber was puzzled as to why Shi Feng had asked such a question.
"That's right. So long as you are the first to deliver your shipment of Primal Void Stones to Ghost City, you'll become the Freedom Alliance's partner regarding the Primal Void vein," Flame Robber firmly stated.
"Ah, then I can rest assured," Shi Feng said, smiling before he walked toward the crates assigned to Immortal Light.
"Rest assured?"
Everyone's confusion grew as they watched Shi Feng leave. They couldn't figure out what Flame Robber had said to assure him.
Shi Feng then moved to a clearing near Immortal Light's shipment. He placed a hand on his bag and began to chant an incantation. Two seconds later, a crimson, steel ship appeared above him. Even the Storm Sailboat looked insignificant compared to the gigantic, steel beast.

Brando was resting on the beach chair with sunglasses and had changed into shorts. 

"Are you still angry before?" Ayame was beside him and also had changed into a bikini while also wearing sunglasses. 

"No, I'm not angry." Brando shook his head and said, "I just realized that I'm still a child compared to you." He wasn't ashamed that he still had a V-Card since he wasn't in a hurry to do it. Though, he was a bit curious about how it tasted to copulate with a female. 

Ayame smiled and said, "I'm a few years older than you, Boy." She rested comfortably on her chair and asked, "Is my body good?" 

"Very good." Brando nodded without hesitation.

"Well, I have to admit that your body is really good too....." Ayame said while observing Brando's body from his stomach to his lower body. "...." She was speechless when she saw his weapon and felt a bit nervous at this moment. "Gulp....." 

"Thank you, I have trained," Brando said and sipped another juice on his table while listening to music that was being played in the pool. He feels that his summer is really fine at the moment. 'Beautiful girl with a bikini, a nice drink and good music.' He sighed while thinking that it was a damn fine summer holiday for him. 

Ayame also enjoyed this moment since it was quite rare for her to have a good holiday. "How is your school?" 

"It's good. If only I didn't have to go to summer training later in the summer," Brando said. 

"Summer training? Really?" Ayame asked. 

Brando shook his head and sighed. "I know, right? I know that this school is very strict, but I don't understand why the school needs to give its students a training camp in the middle of the summer holiday." 

Ayame turned her body showing her back and said, "You should know that being a hero is a tough job." 

"Well, that's true." Brando looked at Ayame and asked, "Do you need help with sunscreen? I remember that you hadn't put sunscreen on your back earlier." 

"......" Ayame raised her eyebrow and asked, "You're playing with fire, Boy." 

"Fire? I'm just putting sunscreen on your back, don't be so exaggerated," Brando said while raising his eyebrow. 

"Just put sunscreen on my back," Ayame said and rested her head on her arms. 

"Yeah, just put sunscreen and don't do anything else, right?" Brando said and splurted a sunscreen lotion on his palms then made his hands warmer before placing it on Ayame's back. 

Ayame was a bit surprised, but she started to get used to it. She was a bit surprised when his palms were quite warm and made it quite comfortable. 

Brando started his work and asked, "How?" 

"Good." Ayame could feel his hand moving around her back and it felt pretty nice. She thought that this guy would be a pretty nice lover if he was a few years older. "Say, Dio." 

"Hmm??" Brando put almost all of his focus on putting sunscreen on Ayame's back. It was quite hard to understand why a woman had a very good scent, even though they took a bath with the same soap or shampoo. 'Her back is soft...' 

"Why do you want to become a hero?" Ayame asked. 

"Why do you ask that?" Brando asked. 

"If you're not a hero then you'll have a good future becoming a mangaka," Ayame said. 

Brando stopped and asked, "Mangaka is only my part-time job and being a hero is my main job." 

"Sigh... I guess I failed to make you into a full-time creator," Ayame said with a sigh. 

"I might not become a mangaka, but I might continue to become a writer," Brando said. 

"Writer?" Ayame hurriedly turned back, but that caused Brando to touch her breasts since her action was quite sudden. 

"......" 

Brando kneaded it for a few seconds before raising his hands. "My bad..." 

"......." Ayame blinked her eyes and her face was a bit hot, especially when she saw the thing between his legs was standing that it almost burst out from the cage. "You should calm down for a bit." 

Brando took a towel and hid the thing between his legs. "You shouldn't move so suddenly." He could have stopped earlier, but he thought that it was a rare chance. 

"I'm sorry, that's my fault," Ayame said. She knew that Brando was also embarrassed when his thing stood up. She also understood that he wasn't wrong since a young man in his youth was very excited about the opposite sex, especially during puberty. She knew that Brando was at the age where he was interested in the things between women and men. 

"So let's continue to talk about the earlier topic," Brando said, trying to change the topic of conversation. 

"Right, writer? You're writing a book?" Ayame asked. 

"Yeah, the mangaka is a bit impossible since I need a lot of time to draw, but writing isn't," Brando said. 

Ayame thought for a while and asked, "If you're ready with your story then tell me." She looked at him with a serious expression and said, "I might decide to change my editorial department to follow you." 

Brando raised his eyebrow and asked, "You have that much confidence in me?" 

"Yeah, that's why I want to write something good for me." Ayame turned her body again and said, "If you also become a popular hero then your book will also become more popular." 

Brando thought for a bit and nodded. "That's also true." He also didn't think much of the publisher wanted to use his own popularity if he started to publish his book. 

"Is that alright? You don't seem to not like when the publisher wants to use your name to promote your manga," Ayame said. 

"That's because my manga is ecchi, but this novel is different," Brando said. 

"You're not writing ecchi?" Ayame was a bit surprised. 

"......" 

Brando was speechless looking at Ayame's reaction and wondering whether this woman thought that he could only write about something ecchi. He shook his head and said, "Well, I'll give you the manuscript after I am done with it."

Ayame smiled and said, "I can't wait for it."

Hoi, and I'm sorry for not uploading a chapter in a while, but now that schools FINALLY OVER, I can put a little more dedication into it. So here's a list of everything I wanna go over, ranging from what I've been up too, what I'm going to be doing, and some exciting new things I have planned for the future [Please read everything, as it's all important(ish...)]

(1) Now that school and finals are over, I can dedicate more time to writing and coming up with new idea's for chapters. However, I will be taking a PE class over the summer. Not because I'm dumb and I need more credits or anything, but because I don't want to take a PE class during the school year. [Summer PE is just a lot of running, swimming, etc... School year PE has the dreaded thing known as dance... Seriously! Why the hell is it something our school requires all the kids to do!!!] This shouldn't get in the way of my writing all that much however due to the summer school class being PE

(2) I'm going to a friends house to play some d&d, so that'll be fun [they nerfed my characters armor class by 2. Why would they do that... Probably because I managed to scrape up a wopping 20 AC at level 1... The fun thing is that I did it legit as well..... Warforged Juggernaut OP.........]

(3) I absolutely WON'T drop this novel. However I will be taking a break from this story once it reaches 50 chapters (not counting the auxiliary...)

(4) I've been to busy reading other peoples novels or watching anime to write chapters... So I'm hoping that my brain can finally be at rest after binging railgun, railgun S, index I, II, and III, and the railgun and accelerator mangas... Also I can see why everyone loves accelerator now [A wild accelerator has appeared, accelerator is now enraged, accelerator used CHUCK A FREAKING SKYSCRAPER... It's super effective...]

(5) After effectively binging the whole magical index universe, along with having already finished binging mob psycho I and II before that. I've gone a little ESPer crazy (Tatsumaki from one punch man doesn't help by the way)... And I'm really excited to tell you guys about the new ESPer related story concept I've come up with for a new novel that I'm planning to write after this novel reaches 50 or more chapters (I'm already creating the characters, physics, and complex details of the world the story will take place in... And once I get all that stuff finished or close to finished, I'll start the story and post all that technical stuff about it in some informative chapters. The real story won't start tell I reach the 50 chapter mark here however

(6) I might make a discord channel dedicated to this story, and the new one I'm planning on making [The new story is actually serving as a good motivator to try and reach 50 chapters on this one...]

Upon arriving in the classroom, Mira checked the seat plan plasted on the board to see where she would have to sit. She immediately went to her seat and dumped her bags and books on the table before sitting. She looked around the classroom and saw that Jenny was already in her seat. 

"Yo Mira, whazzup?" Somebody sat in her table. She looked up to see a guy with unbuttoned school uniform matched with a stud earrings in his right ear. For a moment, Mira was surprised. 

"Hey Kang Jun, dont you have plans to remove your earrings? Im telling you, that would get you in trouble." 

It was Kang Jun's turn to be surprised. He wasn't really expecting Mira to answer because she never did so in the past years that they have been classmates. Mira is that timid. 

"Woooaaah. Are you concerned about me? Waaa. You have changed Mira." He teased. 

Mira only rolled her eyes in response. She motioned him to go away with her hands and started to look on their class schedule. Since it was the first day of class, Mira knows that the teachers will not immediately start the lessons. They will probably be asked to write an essay titled "My summer break" or something like that. 

Somebody sat on the chair beside her. Mira turned to greet that person but was once again surprised. 

"Hey."

It was the girl from the announcement board. 

"Its you?" Mira asked.

"Hehe. You're surprised right? Im not though. Im Jamie by the way. Jamie Marisol." She held out her hand for a handshake. Mira took it. 

"I wasn't expecting that you would become my classmate. Im Mirabelle Cruz by the way. Thanks for helping me a while ago. But now that you're in this class, Jenny might find trouble for you. So be careful."

They both turned around at the back to see Jenny glaring at them, especially towards Jamie. 

Jamie just mockingly smiled at Jenny. "Dont worry about that. Im not exactly a push over."

The teacher finally arrived so they both faced in front. Just as Mira expected, the teacher asked them to write an essay about how their summer break. 

While writing, Mira thought that it would be great if she could remember all of the homeworks and projects that she did on her final year. Wouldn't that make her rank higher? Would that be considered cheating? Too bad though. She only remembers some of them. 

She started writing about her summer. Her fluency in language honed by her experiences in her past life reflected in her essay. In just a short time, Mira finished writing her essay while the others are still writing theirs. The only noise she can hear is the sound of pens scrapping against the paper. There's a plenty of time left. Mira has nothing to do so she looked around the faces of her classmates. 

In the past, she made too few friends. She wasn't able to enjoy her school life. She has too little memories that she's fond of. This time though, she will make sure that it will be different. 

Her mind went back to what she can remember from the past. 

That person... Will also come here right? Because this is the place where all of it started. Mira unknowingly clenched her fist, her nails digging on her palm. 

"Okay, Time's up. Pass your essays."

The teacher's voice pulled Mira out of her thoughts. She took her paper and passed it in front of her. The others also did the same. 

"Mira, do you have something to do after school?" Jamie asked her. 

"After school? I have no plans so far. Why?"

"Then would you mind going with me later? Im not really familiar towards this area since I just transferred here." 


Mira didnt really have anything to do so she agreed. 

After the class ended, Mira didnt see Jenny. She was still probably mad at her because of what happened this morning. She doesn't mind though. Mira wished that Jenny would stay away from her forever. 

Once they got out the school. Mira asked Jamie where did she want to go to. 

"Shopping malls of course. Lets go, lead the way!" Jamie said while laughing. 

Mira can help but to also laugh. Jamie's cheekiness seemed contagious. "Shopping? And I thought it was something serious."

"Hey! For women, shopping is a serious matter okay." 

"Yes. Yes. I agree. Lets go. I will take you the best mall in town!"

Mira realized that these were the things she should have experience in her past life. One step at a time. She couldn't change everything all at once. But she can change things slowly. One step at a time.

Mira died because she was stupid enough to trust the people around her. Her reputation, her career, her identity and her... Marriage. All of it disappeared while she was powerless to do anything. At death's door, she swore that if she could restart it all, she would change everything. She would avoid the tragedy. She wouldnt fall in love with the same man. 

Now given another chance, she vowed that she will get the happiness that she deserves and definitely live a good life. Screw everyone who wronged her in the past!
