Well… We've finally come to the end of Spirit Immortal. 

Hehe, I bet you guys didn't see it coming right? The cover of the book was actually the ending scene of the entire story! Haha, I did well to keep it under wraps for the two years I've been writing this story! Finally, I get to share it all with you!

For those that had stuck with me for the near two years, I've been posting Spirit Immortal… It's been quite the hell of a ride. There were many days where I wanted to quit writing this story and there were many times where I just wanted to say: "Fuck it! Let me just leave everything and just tell you the outline of Spirit Immortal straight up!" However, because of you guys, I gritted my teeth and completed the story. 

So… Before I begin the FINAL Author's Thoughts of Spirit Immortal, I want to give a huge thank you for all who supported me. Especially my Patrons, who had actually invested money into Spirit Immortal even though you guys didn't have to. There are some of you who have invested hundreds of dollars to support this project of mine and I don't know how else I could repay you for your continued support... 

Honestly, I lack the words to describe my gratitude, so I can only say this…

Thank you all for being the rock in my life, guiding me to complete the story that I dreamed about so many years back…

Alright, enough of the emotional stuff! Let's get to the real meat of the Author's Thoughts. This will be my longest Author's Thoughts yet so if you lack the time, you really don't have to read it all. However, for those that had read Spirit Immortal all the way, I'm sure that you'll find it all very interesting.

Let me divide it into sections first, just to keep me on track. Firstly, I'll be discussing the overall story of Spirit Immortal. How I conceived it from a theory that I had, the inspirations I took and ultimately… The ending that I'm sure only a percentage of you saw coming.

Secondly, I'll be talking about the challenges I had writing Spirit Immortal. My journey from a teenager in university that had no clue about how to write, to the man that I am now. The challenges that a new author in the web novel genre will come to face and hopefully, it'll teach any of you aspiring authors to not repeat the same mistakes that I'd made.

Thirdly, I'll be writing about the things that I would have done differently (ie, the things that I would want to do in future when writing future stories). Also, the lessons learnt that I wish to impart on my future self, as well as any budding authors reading this. 

Finally… I'm going to talk about my future works and how I'll be approaching writing web novels in the future.

It's going to be a long ride since I'll be trying to condense two years worth of experience into one document, so please bear with me.

Story of Spirit Immortal
As many of you know, I am a fan of Wuxia/Xianxia novels. They have played an integral part of my teenage life, giving me content to binge through while I rode through my schooling years. By now, you should be familiar with how I got into Wuxia/Xianxia, so I'll skip the long introduction and get to the reason why I imagined Spirit Immortal as a Wuxia.

I had a different take about Immortality than the other novels.

It was really as simple as that. In traditional novels, like Coiling Dragon or Doulou Dalu, the ultimate goal for the protagonist was to become an Immortal. Some even have realms above the Immortal Realm and they continually become stronger until they reach Godhood. It's a tale that we've all read before. However, my thoughts about Immortality are a little different.

I don't believe that Eternal Life exists. Or at the very least, not in the way Wuxia/Xianxia novels portray it. Let me explain.

What does Immortal mean? A literal definition means, not mortal. So, before we get to that, let's define what mortal means first. A mortal is any living thing that exists in reality, doing their best to continue their ultimate goal… To live. See, it doesn't matter if you are a human or a dog, a tree or a pig. We're all living creatures fighting against our final destination… death. As much as we don't like to admit it, all living things will die one day. That's what makes them 'living' in the first place. We have immune systems to protect against viruses. Possess various traits that will help us survive in our reality. Legs to run, arms to hunt, mouths to eat, sexual organs to reproduce…

All of these attributes are what makes us mortal. Which means that the desires that come from these attributes are also mortal desires. We hunger to live. We lust to reproduce and further on our genetic lineage. We anger to pump ourselves into action to defend our survival. Every single emotion that humans feel are linked to one main thing… To live. Even trees, which are effectively mortal, respond to changes and adapt to live. 

So what happens when you turn Immortal? All of our survival instincts, all of our desires that make us mortal… It all goes away. 

We will no longer want to do anything because we've already lost our most primal need to survive. Hunger becomes redundant since you won't die. Sexual desires disappear since there's no need for you to reproduce anymore. Feelings of anger, sadness, anxiety, fear… All of them would be stripped bare of any mortal. 

Once we become 'Immortal' we cease being 'Mortal'. Sounds stupid to say out loud, but in most cultivation novels, the protagonist becomes Immortal but still acts as a Mortal. Desiring to grow stronger even though he/she has obtained eternal life. Lusting over new girls in the new realm. Feeling emotions that no Immortal should have… All of these got me wondering…

How could I make a story about an Immortal with this logic that I have?

And then it hit me… The journey.

I have to make a journey tale, one where the protagonist starts from nothing and obtains everything that he'd ever thought possible. And it's not like the journey was perfect. Shin lost people on the way. Learned lessons from a myriad of characters. Took on the journey of life to become the 'perfect hero' that was slated to become the next 'Immortal.' And at the end of it all… He'll realise that Immortality was just a lie made up by humans to feel better about his mortality. 

All humans live. All humans die. In the end, what really matters is the journey that we all take while we're living. It doesn't matter if you become a successful billionaire or a struggling pauper. It doesn't matter if you get to live your dreams or be a recluse that loves to watch shows all day. As long as you're satisfied with your life's journey. That's all that matters.

At least, that was what I was trying to convey in Spirit Immortal.

Remember when I said that I wanted to finish this story because I wanted all of you to see my ending? The ending that I created was to show what my thoughts were about mortality. The life of a mortal, the journey that said mortal would take and finally… The end that no one can escape from. Spirit Immortal isn't a story about Immortality like other Wuxias. It's a story about… Mortality.

I'll be the first to admit. I lost control over the story of Spirit Immortal halfway through writing it. The original storyboard was for Shin to have a single drive (Ariel's resurrection) to carry him all the way to the ending. The ending that would reveal that the Immortal Realm doesn't exist and they were all cogs in a wheel to power the World Spirit. However, as I wrote more settings, introduced more characters, the storyline became more convoluted.

I'm an author that doesn't like to keep things rigid. As I keep adding new things into the story, it would morph whatever narrative I'm trying to write. Kanari's introduction as the secondary love interest was the major turning point for Spirit Immortal as well. I'd initially thought of Kanari as a friend character that was ultimately there only to fuel Shin's growth and to eventually meet Ariel. However, as I'd thought about it… Would Shin really behave that way when a beauty and good-hearted person like Kanari was chasing him? Was love truly eternal and could Shin only be single-minded about one person till the very end.

Then there were more realistic scenarios that I could think of which broke Shin's motivations. Even if Yggdrasil was real and Shin resurrected Ariel, he would still be a mature adult while Ariel would be a fifteen-year-old girl. Was that really realistic for Shin to ignore Kanari, a beautiful woman who had been chasing him when he was a hormonal youth, for a future with an uncertain Ariel.

And finally, I wanted to put in the family aspect into Shin's cultivation life. Family was an important aspect of all human beings. It's what fuels our evolution as a race and what drives us to live yet another day. So, Shin has to have a family before he ascends. So that he could make the final decision that he made at the end…

To not return to Earth and warn people that Immortality was a choice that Shin had to make. The world needs to have this cycle. Cultivators trying to ascend to Immortality, only to become energy for the new generation to rise up. That completes the evolution cycle of the Spirit Immortal world and Shin can only understand that if he has children of his own.

I've hidden many clues throughout the early books about the true nature of the Immortal Realm as well. Remember in Book 1 when I said the Spirit Immortals "burst into energy?" Also, in Book 2, the Mushinkei, the Frie Clan's house in Chilyoja Waypoint, means "Godless" in Japanese. And who could forget the easiest clue that I gave you all? Dexsot Teinost? Literally you can rearrange the words to form "It does not exist." Yes, yes. Very similar to the Harry Potter one with Voldermolt, but still! None of you got it! I even made it clear that I like scrambling words around with the Frie and Awter Clan all the way back in Book 1! 

Challenges
The challenges of being a writer, particularly an online one, is a completely foreign concept to me when I first started writing. I began to write because of my love of it and I'd thought that it would be easy. There are literally thousands of stories online and they each had their own unique flair. Some of them were terrible, some of them were masterpieces. And well… I got inspired by both types.

The masterpieces made me fall in love with stories. The shit stories made me realise… Anyone could write. Particularly online when there were no gatekeepers like traditional books. So even someone like me, who has bad English and horrendous storytelling skills can actually write something to the masses. 

Thinking back, I really was young and naive.

The most challenging part of being a novelist isn't the lack of time, which believe me, I was always swamped. It wasn't even the social toll that it takes. I had to give up many social events or at least plan ahead many weeks because I stuck to this daily schedule of releasing a chapter a day. 

The most challenging part of being a novelist is… Writer fatigue. 

There were so many days that I just couldn't type a single word. I didn't know how to pen my story. I didn't know how to write my settings. I didn't want to write anything because of how burnt out I was… I lost all my love for Spirit Immortal after consistently writing about it for two years. I couldn't bring myself to the keyboard, distracting myself with youtube videos and other entertainment means.

I would miss the days where my fingers would dance on the keyboard. I remember there was once I wrote a thousand words in an hour, and ten thousand words in a day. However, at my lowest point of my writer's fatigue. I couldn't even write a thousand words a day. 

That's why as the story neared its end, the quality kept dropping. I couldn't bring myself to write two thousand words a day, which was the limit I placed on myself and could only come down to a thousand words. It was heart-wrenching, knowing that I was responsible for the dip in quality in Spirit Immortal, the story that all of you readers spent your valuable time to read. 

I could spin a thousand excuses. Not enough time to write. Meeting up with my friends. Real-life obligations. Real-life work comes first. However, all in all, the main reason why I couldn't write… It's because I was tired. I was falling out of love with Spirit Immortal, even though it was the story that I dreamt into reality. I wanted to keep writing, but the author inside of me didn't exist in the shape that he used to be in.

BUT! I'm glad I faced all of those challenges, particularly with my first long-form novel. I now know what challenges lie ahead of me and I know what I must do from now on. To not just grow as an author, but as a person as well. 

Lessons learnt
Major lesson learnt… Spend more time storyboarding, and less time writing. A chapter a day is all well and good, but if the quality is shit, why bother? So I decided from here on out. I will no longer be releasing daily chapters. Maybe I'll be releasing three or four chapters a week, or even less. I can't tell you for sure right now. This is to prevent burning out once again.

Writing is not equal to authoring. I'd thought that as long as I crafted a good story, I could be a good writer. However, I now know that I'm shit at writing. My English is bad, and my execution is subpar at best. So I will be learning more from other novels to hopefully bolster up my bad writing skills. I will keep evolving, or at least, that's my hope. I will come back a better writer that could flawlessly execute the marvellous stories that I crafted in my head.

The Future of Linodo
Easy. I'm not quitting just because I'd finished Spirit Immortal. I will be continuing my second story, "When the Lilyflower Blooms..." while writing my new standalone book which I had been putting off for the longest time. I won't be returning to Wuxia/Xianxia books because I realise I'm not cut out for this genre. I can't write the 1000-2000 chapters that the undying Chinese Authors can. I can only go for so long before I burn out. 

So Lilyflower will be my comeback in an alternate genre, magical reality. I plan to write Lilyflower for about 100-200 chapters, 300 max. I don't want to keep my story never-ending and open-ended. I just want to make sure that the journey is fun for all of you. 

I won't be writing a Spirit Immortal sequel or any short stories from here on out. If I want to move on, I have to close this chapter called 'Spirit Immortal' from my life. If you guys want, you can privately message me about the theories of Spirit Immortal and I'll be sure to discuss anything that you want. However, for the most part, my creativity will now be focused on Lilyflower and the other stories that I have conceived thus far.

So yeah… That's it for Spirit Immortal! I hope you've enjoyed these two years as much as I did. No matter what I say about this story, no matter how much time I've lost writing this and spending my heart's emotions on it… Spirit Immortal will always be a part of me. It would be a story that I would return to every once in a while to laugh at my young mind and enjoy thinking about forever after.

Over a million years ago, the first human contracted with the first Spirit. Ever since then, Spirit use has become commonplace. Humans used Spirits to carry items and start fires. Eventually, even start wars. Thousands upon thousands of years past and one day, one human did the impossible. He transcended his mortality and ascended to the realm above.  

In the present day, the Frie Clan was once a great clan of the Himmel empire. However, a devastating battle ten years ago crippled the clan and their numbers dwindled. To make up for their loss, the upper echelons decided to adopt young orphans and nurture them to become a future pillar of the weakened clan. Shin was one of those orphans. 

Although picked up by the Frie Clan, not all is smooth sailing for Shin and the other orphans...

I understand that most of you don't go check on my ******* so it's pointless to place an update there. I don't want to keep everyone in the dark however so I'll tell everyone here what I'm up to and how I'm progressing. I'll remove this update once I write a new one or once the next chapter of Born from a divine gamble comes out.

Currently, I have two objective, get a good buffer of spare chapters and prepare for the next big arc.

1. My amount of chapters in the spare storage is going up slowly, I'm writing about 3 chapters in the time I'm supposed to write 2 every week. That's because my chapters of space wanderer are a bit shorter and the words mostly flow easily. I'm gaining a lot of time I can then invest in objective two.

2. The preparations were going well but they were ground to what I would describe as a complete halt. The planing is done and the chapters are sorted and defined for the whole arc. My problem lies in the notes I have for each characters.
I must have talked about it before but the school wasn't supposed to last so long, I had not established a proper plan yet and I failed to keep it under control. The point is, the whole thing was supposed to be a short transition and the characters there weren't meant to stay long. Only Mable Brenia and the boys actually mattered for my plans. The description of everyone else was very minimal and only there for a bit of flavor.
However, as time passed, they got a bigger role in the story and my future plans so I need them properly described in my notes. Just making things up isn't that long since I have those character in mind at all times but I'm pretty sure I gave some details on many of them and never bothered to write it back down in my notes. For example, the only things written for Aglaya in my notes are: "she's tall, the daughter of a count, likes cats, pastries and needlework." I'm pretty sure I gave more details then that in the story but I can't remember. The same goes for most of the school characters.
In order to fix this, there is only one logical way to work. I have to binge read my own story starting back at chapter 41, read all school related chapters to catch any details I forgot like eye color and go up to the most recent chapter, 147.
Because my chapters are so sizable and I'm looking for simple passing remarks, this will take me some time. The end goal is to make a proper character entry in my notes for all the boys and girls in school before I start writing the next chapter. The lesson has been learned however, even when I feel like a character doesn't matter, I should take my notes on them properly and not ignore them to save a minute.

This is proving to be useful, I found a great amount of information I had not noted and forgotten already.
Some are more important than others but I got a good variety of info. The haircut of Penny changed twice apparently, the eye color of Mable in my notes was incorrect, I had forgotten the name of one of her brothers, forgotten she used to call Aglaya "Laya", found many forgotten brown haired people I had noted as blond like everyone else, details and speech patterns that escaped my mind at some point. It's crazy, I didn't think I had forgot so much.
I also caught a whole bunch of misspelling and other errors I was able to correct that escaped me the first time around so new readers will enjoy those chapters a bit more hopefully. 
I didn't progress fast however, I only reached chapter 70. (out of 147)

As a side note born from a divine gamble is now part of 151 people's collection! You know what this means? I completed the first readerdex! That is right, the whole first generation of readers, the prof Oak will be so pleased. Jokes aside, this is amazing so thank you all.
I get that people are stuck inside and want to read things all day and I get that my break in Born from a divine gamble isn't happening at the best of time for those of you looking for something to do. However, I'm doing my best to go through the groundwork quick and I'm even putting out chapters of other things in the meantime.

For those that can wait or aren't interested in anything else than Born form a divine gamble, the chapters of the other things will probably eventually be placed on Webnovel too once I have a sufficient amount of them. I'm still currently in a mood for space so that's what I'm writing, a space fantasy in the same universe as this, except way way in the past.
I wanted Born from a divine Gamble to be horrifying but it turned out pretty lighthearted, at least for now, I guess that's the effect school has on a story. I'll go back to death and suffering soon XD.

There is a thing experiencing Webnovel authors go through after learning how to write through basically people online insulting your story, and that's the feeling of 'how to pace' their next chapters.

At first, writing is a passion for an author they do on the fly. However, once they get serious and learn all they need to know about their story's genre, their drive for perfection causes them to write a lot less.

Writing itself becomes a chore as expectations from your reader and your own make you subconsciously think you're back in school. This is a normal reaction considering your hobby has become unpaid work...

However, there is a way to overcome this! Well, at least if you're writing Action-oriented story with lots of people punching each other, and that is by NOT GIVING YOUR CHAPTER A NAME!!!

Now I know what you're thinking: "Come on, stop messing with me, Love4NovelGuy. How can not naming your chapter do anything? My new chapter I put work in is part of my story and needs attention!"

And that's where you're wrong. The moment you start posting on a chapter by chapter basis, you've already made it hard for yourself to invest in your own story. Sometime after writing the chapter and posting it you'll forget what you even wrote in it.

The best way to overcome this is by telling yourself that you'll only stop writing and name chapters after you've gotten to a satisfying climax to all those chapters you've written before the 'satisfying end'. 

I know, you're probably doubting if my mental trick will even work. But you know, the first lesson to mental tricks is BELIEVING IN IT! You can't expect things to fall on your lap and motivation isn't something you find, try motivating YOURSELF.

Now that you've thought of a story and want to get it out on page... Well, do it. Go 'barf' all your ideas into the first draft of your story, leave it alone for a few days, then reread it to see if you made mistakes.

Editing is a major part of storytelling when your writing and there is no author who had wrote a masterpiece on their first draft. Get over any mental hang-ups you may have before following this advice.

The reason why I said this works best for action oriented stories is because 'fast pacing' is what audiences want in such a story. Unless it's a special moment where you're characterising using something complicated, your base pace should be fact unless your writing an 'Adventure' story.

In Mushoku Tensei (Jobless Reincarnation), it may seem like an action story considering the magic system is introduced early in the story. However, it is more accurate to say the magic system was used to make the beginning half of the story more 'slow'.

What I mean by this is that having characters standing around talking to each other or doing things that don't build tension may be considered quite 'static' for those who like action, but someone wanting to immerse themselves into the fantasy world he was transported would be more interested.

This is what I mean by 'slow pace', and what I mean by 'fast pace' is having the MC tackle one problem after another to get where the next fight is. Though I may be describing them separately, most longer stories tend to switch things up every now and then to keep the reader's investment in what happened.

Now, since I've already gave a lesson on the basics of pacing and how to write an action story, let me now dive in a little into exposition. Don't worry, this won't take long to explain. I'll be quick about it.

Basically, ignore everyone who says "show and don't tell" since you are writing a wordy story where the narrator tells the reader everything. The only thing you need to do when writing exposition is to MAKE IT INTERESTING! I don't know why everyone has a problem doing this. I mean, even info-dumps can be interesting if the character giving it is also being fleshed out through interactions while doing it.

New pieces of information that are going to be relevant later need to be balanced by what you're giving now. Don't think your audience are idiots by letting them infer things. That's what is usually called 'subtext' by readers who want intrigue.

The lines from a character can differ in the amount of information they give. For example:

Calling a character 'Queen [Insert Name]'  would be considered too straightforward. What would be a better way to introduce a character and let the audience infer by themselves is calling a character 'Your Majesty' before describing an old woman with a demeanour that seemingly demanded authority.

However, this is me rambling on and you should be courageous to write your story whether good or bad no matter what insults come your way. No good story is built in one day and editing is always an option if your grammar is so bad it burns eyes.

Just take a look at me, I wrote a story that took forty chapters to fully understand and still strived to improve it by editing a bunch of times until I finally got it to a level that contends with my newer works.

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

Hey everyone. I would like to aknowledge the fact that my release dates are almost every two weeks, which is incredibly slow, and I am aware of that; but recently with school I've had been lost of time to make myself dedicated to my writing.

The note here is a proclamation of my rewriting of the story.

I understand that a person/author shouldn't just simply back out whenever he or she wants, and I am aware there are viewers, but I am also aware of satisfaction for readers and myself when writing.

My plan is to write an entirely new story, but the theme would ultimately be the same. The plan is to make the story with improved writing abilities, because as of now the progress is slow, and unsatisfactory for me and for readers who want to read.

I won't drop it. Remember that. This story is my magnum opus. Something which I really want to finish at some point in time. I just want it to be the diamond that it is supposed to be. So I won't be dropping what I intended, but I will be dropping the story so far for the sake of a better story and plot line.

This isn't meant to anger you, nor to waste my and your time... it is a simple understanding that my work isn't sufficient to my standards and that it is too slow, not even just to procure readers, but also that when I plan on writing it is so arbitrary and unplanned it is atrocious.

So I plan on writing here on webnovel and becoming a writer which is so sophisticated in vocabulary, grammar, story creation, and writing that I plan on being a storm on webnovel. I want to be the best and that is my plan.

As of now, the story will stop. I will write and not publish immediately. I want to plan and make a story which is so touching and reader riveting it could become an actual book perhaps. I just want something good.

"[Oh? This Todoroki doesn't only like to use brute force, after all, seems he can use his head just fine. Along with his quirk that's quite dangerous, I should rethink his position of danger.]" – Izuku

"Thirteen starts the evacuation. Try calling the school. These villains had something to counteract the sensors; it's possible someone with radio wave-type of quirk and is skilled in interfering. Kaminari, you try contacting the school with your quirk too." – Aizawa

"Yes, sir." – Kaminari

While Kaminari was trying to contact the school, Aizawa started to prepare himself.

"[Does he plan to hold the villains back by himself, while we escape? How hero-like, but I want to use this chance to finally let loose and gain more experience in fighting, fighting other students doesn't count as experience… I should act worried] what about you teacher? Do you plan to fight the villains by yourself? With that many, even if you have the ability to erase their quirks, your quirk is a single target ability, it does not suit your fighting style. Allow me to stay behind and fight alongside you, the moment I decided to become a hero I was prepared to fight villains at any time. [SHIT!!! I almost said villain, this is that idiotic Izuku's fault, his nervous personality is making me make mistake I shouldn't be and affect my emotions, hopefully, they wouldn't notice and just think it was due to my nervousness of fighting a villain]." – Izuku 

The surrounding students and teachers did notice the blunder that Izuku made; fortunately, they all chalked it up towards his nervousness of fighting a villain for the first time, all besides one.

"[Izuku-san made a mistake due to nervousness? But he's always been so calm in almost all the situations we've been in, this doesn't seem like him. However, fighting a real villain is different, maybe I'm overthinking things.] – Momo

Aizawa just slightly turned his head slightly towards Izuku.

"You can't be a hero with just being a one-trick pony." – Aizawa

"[I don't care if you have more than one trick; I just want to fight… I could just jump in a kill them without his approval… something is wrong] – Izuku

"I'm leaving it to you, Thirteen." – Aizawa

Aizawa then leapt over the stairs, falling quickly towards the villains at the bottom. Izuku watched in a daze as he fell.

"[Something seems wrong with me, I'm reacting too much. It seems it is from the beginning of the day, after all, the prank Momo played wasn't that big of a deal yet I wanted to kill her. Is it the excitement from the nanobots being completed? Whatever it is, I need to control myself. Not everything can go my way; it never has for most of my life until now. If I can't fight, I'll just see what a pro hero can do.]" – Izuku

By the time Izuku, was able to snap out of his thoughts and look back, he saw Aizawa closing in on a group of villains that seemed to be ranged types, they were trying to attack him but fell into chaos when they realised that their quirks weren't working, they focused on this matter so much they didn't realise Aizawa close in wrap them up in his capturing weapon before picking them up and colliding them with each other, effectively knocking them out. 

It seems that the villains finally realised who he was and what his quirk was, they started sending in the heteromorphic type villains to deal with him. However, these villains were dealt with just as quickly as the others, Aizawa's hand to hand combat was not something to look down on, its something he trained to get rid of his weakness meaning he put a lot of time and effort into it.

"[Impressive, truly impressive. Knowing his biggest weakness would be heteromorphic types of quirks, he came up with a countermeasure and trained it to the peak of his ability, he acts lazy and slow most of the time but to think there would be such a big difference once he started to act as a hero. If I want to take his quirk forcefully I wouldn't stand a chance against his hand to hand combat. A pro is a pro for a reason it seems, I can't look down on anyone.]" – Izuku

Izuku was watching and analysing the fight of Aizawa against the villains when a voice from Ilda called him from behind.

"This is no time for analysis! Hurry up and follow the teacher to escape from here!" – Ilda

"[Well I can already get a summary of his abilities from what I've seen so far, I don't need to carry on watching]". – Izuku 

While Izuku was turning around to follow Thirteen and the other students he noticed the black smoke guy or better to call him the portal guy was missing from the three 'possible main' villains that originally came out first but stayed at the back. Izuku carried on following Ilda while preparing his One for All mode. 

As Izuku predicted, a black portal, similar to the type from where the villains came out of, appeared on the floor and black smoke started to flow out it. 

"I won't let you. Nice to meet you, we are the league of Villains. It may be presumptuous of us, but we have invited ourselves into the home of the heroes, U.A. High School, in order to have All Might, the Symbol of Peace, take his last breath." – Portal Guy

Izuku, who had activated his One for All mode, was just about to take action and attack the villain while he talked when he stopped. The information that the villain just gave was shocking, the actual plan of theirs was to kill All Might. 

"I believe All Might should have been here. Has there been some kind of change? Well, that is neither here nor there. This is the part I am to play." – Portal guy

Before even Thirteen could take action Katsuki and Kirishima attacked the portal guy together. Izuku just stayed where he was and watched.

"[Hmm? When did these two become such good friends? Even Katsuki seems to have accepted it, is it because they have the same personality in some ways? Well whatever, I should see what result their attack has and search for a weakness.]" – Izuku

"Oh dear, that's dangerous. That's right. Even if you are students you are excellent golden eggs." – portal guy

"[The attack had no visible effect; it seems he used his portal quirk to transport the attack to a different location. That's quite the ability. He also seems to have no form to attack, most likely concealed by the black portal smoke.]" – Izuku

"No! Move away you two!" – Thirteen

"My job is to scatter you all and torture you to death!" – Portal guy

The portal guy then attacked releasing a massive amount of black portal smoke towards the students, almost instantly drowning them in it. Izuku out of reflex or most likely instinct shot a punch forward, the resulting in a shockwave that pushed the smoke back and held it there. Unfortunately, the smoke was consistently being forced towards them so the shockwave couldn't hold it for long. 

Izuku then repeatedly punched forward creating small shockwaves to hold the smoke back, before long the smoke had retreated to the portal guy and he was intensely staring at Izuku. Everyone, including Izuku, looked around to confirm the damages; they discovered that some of the students were missing. 

"[that was close and dangerous, he probably teleported the missing students. Getting teleported to an unknown location in this situation is dangerous, but it was a quick transport, they shouldn't be too far. Wait isn't there a few students that were good at reconnaissance.]" – Izuku

Izuku then looked over at everyone that was still here, it seemed Ilda was able to move Uraraka, Rikido Sato and himself out of the area the portal was in. Mezo Shoji was able to protect Hanta Sero and Mina Ashido while staying rooted to the ground. Thirteen was still there as well. Izuku had managed to not only save himself but also the people around him using the shockwave. These people included Momo, Kaminari Kyoka Jiro and Tsuyu Asui; he remembered how his shockwaves had ended up pushing Minoru Mineta into the Black Smog.

"[Well it was his fault for being too weak to hold on. I should focus on the main task on hand] Mezo Shoji, Kyoka Jiro, use your quirks to find if the other students are still in this area, it's highly likely that they are." – Izuku 

After giving the instruction, Izuku looked at the black smog that was focused entirely at him. Izuku was prepared to dodge or fight back at any moment.

"Everyone's scattered, but they're all in this building." – Mezo Shoji

"I can sense a lot of vibrations, not only from the villains from down the stairs but from all around the building." – Kyoka Jiro

"It seems he planned to divide and conquer, he would send is all to locations all around the building from where his villain friends would overwhelm us with numbers. How strategic." – Izuku

"Tenya Ilda-Kun." – Thirteen

"Yes?" – Ilda

"[Is Thirteen finally going to act? I can understand why he's only a rescue hero, he seems to slow to react to most of the situation, or more like his quirk isn't suited.]" – Izuku 

"I entrust this duty to you. Run to the school and tell them about what is happening here. The alarms are not sounding, and our phones don't have a signal. The alarm system is based on infrared rays. Even though senpai, no, Eraser Head is erasing quirks left and right, they are still not working. This means they must have someone with an interference quirk, who hid right when they arrived. It would be faster for you to run then for us to find that person." – Thirteen

"But it would be a disgrace to run while leaving everyone else behind." – Ilda

"Thirteen is right Ilda, as a class rep I'm ordering you to go outside and raise the alarms. This isn't about being disgraced, this is about stopping these villains, but we need the teachers to help to do that." – Momo

"That's right, there alarms outside, that's why these guys are only doing this inside this place right?" – Sato

"As long as you go outside, they won't follow you. Blow away this fog with your legs!" – Hanta Sero

"Use your quirk to save others!" – Thirteen

Every one of the students then started walking forward, preparing themselves to fight. 

"I can support you as I did in the cafeteria! I will! Please, Ilda!" – Uraraka

Ilda was momentarily stunned by everyone before he started preparing himself and got into the position of his running stance. While everyone was in a position to hold of the portal guy allowing Ilda to run past and escape, everyone besides Izuku. Izuku was still in the same place and didn't move forward to fight as everyone else did, but because of the situation, no one noticed. Izuku was waiting for the enemy to show his weakness before he attacked. 

"Even if you have no other choice, are there really idiots who talk about their plans in front of the enemy?" – Portal guy

"We did it because it doesn't matter if we're found out!" – Thirteen

Thirteen then stuck his hand forward and the finger from his suit opened up, he then activated his quirk which resulted in an extremely strong suction force, that started to suck in the portal guy that was about to start attacking.

"Black Hole!" – Thirteen

I wanted to complete this entire fight against the League of Villains in one chapter before, didn't expect it to be so long.

Anyway, I'm writing these chapters at work after iv got no more work to do. so there could be a few days where I won't be writing for a while. but iv noticed that if I lesson the words of the chapters I write I might be able to write more. so let's say if I lower the word count to 1000, then after I write 1000 words ill stop writing, even if the story is in the middle of a conversation. then continue with the story in the next chapter of 1000 words. you guys can decide if you want it to stay like it is now, or if you want me to do more chapters in a week but with only 1000 words in each chapter. 

P.S. when I say stop writing, I will obviously finish off the sentence I'm currently writing, and not just end it mid-sentence.

Chapter Four



                Like I expected, wala akong natanggap na tawag o text the whole day. Pero that night, while I was updating, I received a chat again. It was from Corvan.


                "Hey, I just read your latest update, why did Jameson need to die? I'm very confused, to think that Michael and Irene are already married, you don't need to kill him anymore to give way for the main characters' love story," is what he asked. Agad na napakunot ang noo ko. Well, he's not really annoying me, and I'm not gonna break some rules I set to myself here if I answer his question. Afterall, this is still RP related.


                In Old RP, base on my research and what Yve said before, is all just about RP. No OP related at all. OP is the short term for Operator, which means the person behind the account and the screen. However, if you wanna efficiently do RPing, you have to make your port, or the person you are role playing to, alive and forget about the real world. That's why I set some rules so I can clearly draw the line between me, as Ara, and another me, as Sunny.


                "I have to do it. Doesn't mean that Irene and Michael are already married, their life and story are already over. So I have to leave a snippet of how their lives are gonna be after the marriage. Which is a life with an emotionally stronger Irene and a very dependable Michael. Even though Irene was so set on hurting Jameson for Michael, he was still her first love. He was there when she was an emotional wreck when her parents died, he was there when she was driven to depression, he was there when no one's there for her. Through the story, even though Jameson was still hurting, he was there when Michael and Irene's relationship was still shaky and they always fight. He was one of the reasons why they both reached the happy ending, that's why he's a significant character in their lives. Killing him would mean Irene has no one to depend anymore aside from herself and her new husband, so she has to be stronger, especially that Michael has problems in the company. Not only that, he's death was also important to other characters. Cristine realized her wrong doings when her brother died to save her and Irene from the mess. She asked for their forgiveness and they forgave her. Though she had to live her life in regrets, she had a very significant development. In short, I need to kill him if I want a not so perfect happy ending. A life lesson, I guess," I answered. It was not long when he replied.


                "So you want to portray Cristine as "Be careful what you wish for" or "Never do unto others what you don't want other do unto you" or "Don't do things you might regret"? 


                "Kinda. She wanted Irene dead and planned for it. However Jameson sabotaged it and died in Irene's stead. Cristine saw how much her brother loved Irene. Cristine might be a villain, but she's a protagonist on her own. Her love for Jameson is greater than her love for Michael. When she saw how deep her brother's love is, she set her life to now protect her and her brother's love on her. How she loves Jameson can be seen in how she regretted it. It will show in the next chapter." For some reasons, hindi ko mapigilan ang ngumiti. For once, I felt excited talking about my future plans with my stories without Yve in the convo. I felt happy talking to someone I don't know without feeling awkward. For some reasons I don't wanna think about, I liked talking to someone online and want to talk to him more. I slammed my face down my pillow and screamed through it. What's wrong with me?!


                Tumunog na naman ito tanda ng isa pang notifications. And as bad as it gets, agad kong kinuha ang cellphone ko at nagmamadaling binuksan ito. 


                "Hmmmm. I see. With the way you think, you might like the storyline of Maleficent and Wicked," he said. Muli na naman akong napangiti. Realizing it, I immediately tried to frown.


                "Yeah, though I still haven't watched any Wicked shows before, and still haven't seen the new Maleficent movie. I've read their synopsis though, I indeed like them." Napapikit ako pagkababa ng phone ko sa kama. Why the hell am I enjoying this?


                A notification once again rang. "You should watch me. It's really cool. Though I also still haven't watch Wicked before, but I already watched Maleficent 2. How 'bout Descendants? Do you know that? Disney movie?" What's this? Is this coincidence or…?


                "Yeah. How do you know that movie? Now that it's not famous, but I'm surprised you know it!" I typed in.


                "Well, let just say I'm quite the man to know this kind of movies." I bit my lower lip to stop from smiling again.


                "Hmmm… I guess. Who's your fave character?"


                "The new king of course, Belle and the Beast's son, Ben!"


                "For what reasons? He's kinda insignificant, for me.


                "Wow, should I be disappointed to think that I was expecting you'll get me after your speech about Cristine awhile ago?" I should be offended, but I'm way too curious now to get annoyed. "No offense meant, by the way."


                "Everyone says 'no offense meant' but says or said something offensive. What's the point? Anyway, I'm not offended, rather I'm curious as to why did you say he's not insignificant."


(A/N: For those who want to watch Descendants (1), you might as well skip this following paragraph, or you'll be spoiled big time.)


                "People say 'no offense meant' because they know what they said might come off offensive but they didn't want to say it like that. Other people just say in sarcasm that's why people misunderstood the context of it nowadays. Chatting through the screen is really hard when you can't see their faces, so it's rather safe to say 'no offense meant' to clear misunderstandings before it happens," he replied. Three dots pop again, indicating he's still writing something, so I waited for it. "Ben is the reason why there is 'Descendants'. The story focused on Mal and the other three, yes, however, the story won't progress without Ben in the picture. Not only he is the key for Mal to steal the wand, he's the reason why Mal decided to turn against her mother. The other three, Evie, Carlos and Jay, follow Mal and see her as their leader, especially the boys. Even though they also found their space and peace in the school, they might still follow Mal's command and steal the wand if Mal proceeds with the plan. However, Mal found hers beside Ben and fell in love with him. This triggers her will to go against the plan and persuade her friends to do so, too. This love for Ben also made her powers stronger to actually win against her mother and turn her into a lizard or something at last. So I say Ben is the very reason why there is 'Descendants'. He's almost like Jameson in your story. He triggered the female main character to become stronger, and also pushed the 'villain' to become good at the very end."


                Napataas naman ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya. "You do know some stuff."


                "Yeah. How 'bout you, though, who's your fave character?" The night goes on with us talking about different movies and what we like about it and their characters. It was a very sensible night for me, and a very weird one, for me not to freak out talking to a stranger over the phone. But I had fun, I really do.

                Simula ng magkaroon ng pangalan, sa virtual world, dumagsa ang nais makipag-virtual rs sa kaniyang katauhan, o pakikipagrelasyon. Ngunit kailanman, sinoman, wala siyang pinatulan. Kahit anong kantyaw ng kaibigan niya sa kaniyang subukan ito. Moira was furious. Someone, more accurately, many people dared to bring harm to her brother. She glanced at the myriad of websites out there taking copies of Jericho for their own sites. "It seems these people have no idea how hard it is to live as an author."
"It seems we must accelerate your original plan, Eranoth," Jericho sighed. 
Eranoth scrunched his brows in anxiety. "But everyone will hate that. I guess I was too hopeful. I hoped that people would be honest. I hoped that things could go better. I wanted to see everyone including myself find enjoyment and happiness. It really does only take a few problematic humans to ruin everything."
Jericho nodded. "True, but what is more important? Writing until you are a shriveled husk and have to stop writing because you couldn't afford your electricity or internet bills, or making everyone upset right now so that you can write, and write properly moving forward, so you can afford these things. We all know that because of your horrible reactions to other people's colognes, perfumes, scented items, vape, smoke and other things, that you can't hold a normal job. Your health has already limited your options."
Moira nodded. "Right! You are writing to get published officially because it is one of your only hopes left. With all these people out there wanting to make you work your butt off for nothing, you are better off moving forward with your plan now rather than later. The most important thing is that the people who truly care about your work will gladly follow. Don't lump them into the 'they' that you fear. The 'they' is the minority of them, even if they are loud."
Eranoth sighed in defeat as he slumped onto Jericho's piano bench. "Logically I get it. Emotionally this is something I don't want to do. I really like interacting with these really fun people. I know they like my story as well. Alexandra's and ExtraWhiteRice's funny comments, TJinx's and Le_Berino's constant support, YoungJustice's 'defend the author' and everyone else's fun interactions and support."
Moira flicked the author's forehead. "It's not like you are dropping the story. The fans that care, will follow you. They will enjoy all the extra hard work you have put in to improving things. Think about it, all they really want is for our story to continue. You are still doing that. In fact, you are doing even more than just continuing the story."
Jericho nodded. "She's right, and on top of that you are being extremely kind and informing them of the choice you have made after days of self debate. You aren't reacting to the situation, you are acting in your best interest and their best interest. Besides, this plan has been there for a long time, you are just hastening it."
"But I was hoping to get out volume 2 before I enacted any portion of this plan. I was hoping to hoping to have volume 1 published before I enacted my plan. Only one person is following my ko-fi for my announcements. The discord was a flop. I'm afraid that this will fail just like everything else."
Jericho smiled. "When do things ever go according to plan? Besides, if you keep speaking Eranothian, you will keep confusing people."
A knock was heard at the door. 
"They are here." Moira opened it. "Everyone, You're here! Come in, come in! Eranoth's got some really exciting news that will make you happy!"
Eranoth shook his head in disbelief, "I really don't think my choice will make people happy," he muttered to himself. 
A horde of over 500 people crowded into the living room killing off any breathing room. "What is this news you have to tell us?"
Eranoth clenched his fist as he struggled to find the words. "I'm leaving the internet writing scene."
The group was in uproar and some people left before hearing the rest of what the author was trying to say.
"I mentioned before that I am going the publishing route. As I have been editing volume 1, I realized that my voice, especially when I can get it edited, doesn't really match the air of internet writing. So, coming up, you will see a significantly improved version of my work in physical book and e-book format. When I can get things out, the first place you will be able to find it at is <B>barnesandnoble.com</B>."
"Bah, paperback versions," a random person said as they walked out the door. 
Eranoth took a deep breath. "I was offered the webnovel contract, but found that the conditions for them to pay me anything were too harsh for me. For the sake of my work, I could not accept their conditions and feel happy about it."
Moira smiled. "Jericho and I are glad you chose to reject it for our sake and the sake of the royal bardians, but if you keep sacrificing like this, eventually you won't have the capability to continue."
Eranoth nodded slowly. "Right," he said before looking up at the expectant faces. "Recently, I discovered that my story has been copied and pasted onto about ten other websites without my permission. One website is calling me a translator. Another website is saying they are posted my work on their site in order to promote me. Others have said nothing. But Jericho the Bard is my intellectual property. Since I cannot earn money to pay for any of the basic necessities for an author to keep writing; these websites are doing all of us way more harm then good. So, I had to come up with a plan in order to counteract the damage that has been done."
Another person spat. "So your plan is to drop it? How dare you! We all told you not to drop it!"
Eranoth flinched as he held his own tears. "Changing mediums," he muttered. "All I'm doing is changing mediums."
Jericho sighed. "Everyone, this isn't easy for Eranoth to do or say." He turned to the author. "Eranoth, just your self-editing alone has made the future version of our story into something far more fulfilling and significantly less boring. You have already made thousands of changes. You have made many things clearer, you have simplified the difficult to understand complexities of game mechanics, and you have added more depth to the story. I'm curious to see what will happen once your editor April gets her hands on it. If you alone can make that much of a leap in progress, I'm looking forward to when she tears things to shreds and can help you see where things need more work."
Another person spoke up. "You are doing all this extra work, Why? Your story is great where it is."
Eranoth turned away took a breath and looked out the cold snowy window. "This is the only Win-Win I could find after a long time of searching. Publishing official versions of my works seems to be the best way forward. Jericho and Moira deserve this editing. They are worth more to me, than first draft vomit onto the page. You all can see and understand far more and my story will progress far better if I put in this extra work. I can potentially earn a piddly income in order to keep writing, and do things right by everyone."
Eranoth turned to face the slowly shrinking crowd once again. "Originally, I was going to post volume 2 and have volume 1 published before I took any similar actions. But after seeing the dishonesty of people on the internet, I knew I couldn't let that continue. Oh, and for all those reading this on other websites, contact your website group and let them know there are slight changes in all the chapters and that if they want to be more complete, they should restart their copy pasting ways. Everyone will be happier if they do."
"What was that about?" another random person asked. 
Eranoth grinned as the person asked about his diabolical plan. "Just a little insurance. After all, I am J Eranoth, the author of this book. If they are going to copy and paste my work onto their websites at least they should acknowledge who this book came from. But enough about them," the author's grin vanished. "If you stay with me, or follow my ko-fi, I will be able to let you know when things are officially out, and with the ko-fi, other updates as well. Thank you again for all the support you have given me so far. When things are available, I will update another chapter to let you know. Until then, please give your powerstone votes to other authors who may want/need the webnovel contract whose conditions I could not accept. The little guys need the support you can give." 
Eranoth took a breath to calm down. "I know many of you will chose to leave, knowing that the online posting of my story or chapters is no longer going to be a thing for me. I hope many of you can understand both my fears and my dreams. I hope that many of you will be happy with the fact that I care so much about everyone that I want the best for me, for you, and for my stories. I hope that more than just my story of Jericho can see the light of readers eyes. I have more works I have been working on during this time. And those who are thinking that I am a selfish person, you are right, I am. I am not someone who can sacrifice everything with a smile and say it will all work out! I am not someone who can live in this era of 'you exist therefore you must pay for the air you breath' without a means to take care of myself. If I don't do this, then eventually I would have had to stop writing because of a lack of sufficient income and/or worsening health because of my adverse reactions to most things that scream "people". I haven't been to a movie theater in years. I haven't hung out with someone in a social place in years. I can't even go over to some of my friends' houses to hang out with them. I haven't been to a church in a long time. All of this is because of my adverse reactions to colognes, perfumes, scented items (Plug-in air fresheners, candles, oils and so on), other people's vape, second hand smoke and many other harmful (to me) substances that can be found ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE!"
Eranoth sighed and looked down, trying not to break down in tears. "Sorry, I got on my soap box. But you never know the life an author is facing. Why are they writing? I just wish that some people would realize how much pain some of us are actually in. I'm not the only one to face this. I'm not the only author or artist out there who cannot hold a normal job. I didn't write this so you would pity me. In fact, I hate people's pity. But I want you to understand that I am doing this 51% for selfish reasons. I am a selfish person."

Eranoth shook his head. "I don't know, but I do know that it is what most people would call it. This is hard for me. I wanted to keep interacting with you all. I really had hoped that online writing could be the answer. But things rarely go how we want them. So, I will say once more for good measure. Eranoth was unable to hold back his own tears. "I will miss interacting with you guys. I hope, I dream, and I ask, will you follow me as I move forward in a direction that is different from other people who's works you have read?"
Jericho grabbed Eranoth's shoulder. 
The author flinched and tensed.
"Relax, most of them are still here. Most of them support your choice. I can tell. These are your true fans, their my true fans. These people don't care that you are changing mediums. In fact, these people are proud that you care enough to make this hard choice. They understand that you are not dropping your work. They understand that you are seeking something far better."
The author sighed and relaxed a little. "At least, I feel at peace with my choice. Well, everyone, thank again for coming. I'm sorry things had to play out this way. I, J Eranoth, will keep writing. I will keep improving and I will see you all again!" Eranoth stood and walked resolutely towards the door, trying to hide his own tears. He closed the door behind him as he walked out into the snowstorm.
The people still in the house with Jericho and Moira were silent. 
Moira smiled at the crowd. "Shall we perform one last time for you?"
Jericho sat as his piano. His fingers played the keys. His voice called out, singing about a hopeful and brighter future.

In the year 2741 Music has become a thing created solely via technology. The age of instruments had long since passed. 
Jericho grew up in a family who lived ‘outdated’ lives. From his grandfather, he learned how make, repair, and play a good amount of instruments. It was his life passion. If he lived in the early 2000s he would have become famous with the skill he possessed. 
The man worked hard on both his job at an antique shop and his failing musical career to take care of kid sister, the only family member he had left. 
Freedom online (A very generic MMO type of name) had recently been released. One of the many VRMMORPG’s created in this era. Jericho and his sister ignored the game as it was something well beyond what they could afford. 
After unknowingly experiencing both a disaster and a fortuitous encounter, Jericho and his sister are given the game with the hope this new world can bring his wonderful music to light.

Liu Duo had not realized it, but their conversations had begun to consist of more harmonious intimacy and less frequently resembled two bombs colliding and causing fireworks.

There was still no response, so Ye Liu knocked again.

After Ye Mo had had some time to recover, Liu Duo was about to get the door. He stopped her, "Put on your clothes first."

Liu Duo obeyed this time, and went to open the door once she was decent.

The door creaked open and the three brothers immediately entered. They saw Ye Mo sitting by the table amassed with rice paper and writing brushes, a posture that suggested he was in the process of writing.

"Oh, they're really writing!" Ye Liu walked over mischievously and placed a hand on Ye Mo's shoulder while looking at all the paper scattered across the board.

Still feeling a bit painful down there, Ye Mo coolly nodded, "Of course."

Liu Duo couldn't help but be impressed by Ye Mo, who could lie without being caught. This fellow was certainly Liuzi's double - right down to the acting skills!

Ye Yang looked at the characters on the rice paper, then again at the brush. Without a trace of emotion at all, he lightly said, "The brush isn't dabbed in ink!"

Liu Duo looked at him in surprise. He didn't need to be so direct! How vicious he was that his eyes had managed to spot that!

Ye Mo was stunned too. The brush had ink on it some time ago, so Ye Liu couldn't possibly tell whether it had been dabbed in ink that day, right?

Ye Liu, smart as he was, had long realized that. He just hadn't said it. So it was unexpected when Ye Yang pointed it out. Ye Liu silently gave him a thumbs up in praise of his observation!

Initially, he wanted to allow Ye Mo the chance to confess what he and Liu Duo had been doing behind their backs.

Only Ye Ling cluelessly looked from Yang to Mo. He grabbed the brush and drew a line on his arm. Indeed, it came off clean without any ink at all.

"Mo, you're lying!" He looked at Ye Mo surprisingly. He hadn't expected this.

Liu Duo, who was holding onto Ye Yang's arm, just looked at Ye Mo, wondering how he was going to save himself from his lie. He deserved it for not coming up with a script beforehand!

Ye Mo gulped and sneakily glanced at Liu Duo. She seemed to be rejoicing at his predicament, with little intention to help him out. He felt utterly defeated.

"Little Mo, were you bullying Little Duo again? Don't think just because you are literate, that we can't do anything to you!" Ye Liu smirked, teasing Ye Mo.

He wouldn't fall for Mo's little trick! There was no need to lock the door for a writing lesson!

Oh dear, his story hadn't worked? He had totally forgotten that Liu was a cunning one who would strike first and talk later!

Mo looked at Ye Yang and his cold, expressionless face, heart thumping in fear.

Then he came face to face with Ye Ling's disappointment and disapproval. Ye Mo didn't know what to do. His three brothers were ganging up on him, and he was scared.

Liu Duo found it funny to see Ye Mo running out of ideas, "Yang, Liuzi, Ling, you guys can drop it. Little Mo wasn't bullying me."

Whatever... She should give him a hand. He had probably learnt his lesson from the kick she gave him moments earlier.

"Don't cover for him! Duo Er, you screamed really loud. I should have come in. Mo must have bullied you. Don't be afraid, tell us. We'll protect you!" Ye Ling furrowed his brow at her. 

It was rare for Ye Ling to take someone's side, other than his brother's. He wanted to teach Ye Mo a lesson, if it were the last thing he would do, which left Liu Duo quite stunned. She thought, Since when did he stop defending his brothers and switch his allegiance to his wife instead?


Sold by her own grandmother to become a shared wife to the poverty-stricken Ye brothers for twenty taels of silver, Liu Duo, unwilling to succumb to her fate, escaped in the night. She slipped and fell and died an inexplicable death. 

Then She, a soul who shared her name, reincarnated into her body. Could this be heaven trying to make amends? She is going to has four husbands? Since what's done is done, She might as well accept her new life!

Work hard, earn money, get richer, become wealthy, maybe even have some kids!  Just as they are living their lives, an array of crazy characters just loves to disrupt their peace. Are they here to taunt her? Take advantage of her? Well, good luck with that! I'm not some sick cat who can't fight back!
