A brain storming session were my readers can comment on my ideas with their own suggestions

This is my very first novel. So, the chapters will be short. *winces* Sorry about that...



I would like to make a few things clear to all my future readers...

First off, my home language isn't English. So there will be some grammar mistakes. I try to fix as many as I can, but they'll still be there. "Oh boy, now they're going kill me...", *clears throat* R-r-right, on to the next point.

I started writing because I love stories and I have a lot of ideas stuck in my mind. When I was younger, playing with my dolls helped me to get the stories out of my mind. But since I gave my dolls away, I got stuck with stories always in my mind. So I thought to myself "what the heck, I'll just write these ideas down" And so my ideas gradually started to form a story.

I also started to take my writing a bit more serious because I would like to improve my writing skills. I ask that if you come across a mistake I made to please point it out. That way, it helps me to learn from my mistakes and write better.

I've recently started to draw my own pictures for my story. All pictures used in the story are my own. I'm not very good at drawing but it's fun and helps me to actually see the world I created with my own eyes.  So I hope you'll like them even with their many flaws! :-)

Also, I'm a grade 11 student and I'm writing in my spare time. Thus my story is progressing very slowly. *sniffle*

The Shadow Forest is a beautiful, peaceful place...on the outside. But a danger has been lurking in its shadows for a long time. 

A prophecy: A hero will rise to defeat the evil with a weapon no man can wield. 

Within the Shadow Forest, twelve years ago, a tragedy shaped the future of a young woman. Now, alone, broken and moulded by the hardships of life, she lives in the cursed forest, trying to keep others from nearing the Death Bridge - the place where bodies disappear and screams of horror echo. 

But in her veins, an ancient power stirs.

She meets a curt, handsome, white-haired warrior and a bandit with a frightening physique and a soft heart. Learning of the prophecy, the trio sets off on a danger-filled path to save the kingdom.

They will face mysterious creatures, fight fierce battles and uncover terrifying secrets all while emotional struggles follow them like shadows.  

What will prevail? Light or darkness? Love or sadness?

everyone, I am sorry but I have decided to drop this story, for good. I don't see a point in writing it anymore, I don't have the time either, I could spend the time I write this doing more useful things.
This story was meant to spread ideas and all but now I feel like it has turned into wish-fulfillment, I don't like where it is heading.
if anyone feels like it could have been better or achieved something, you can rewrite or continue the story with the image in your mind and post it on your profile I don't care about it. 
I will continue writing my original (A Journey to Eternity) and post chapters once in a while.
As for other reasons that I dropped it:
1. Writing fanfiction has no use for me personally, I originally wanted my ideas to be known and my writing skills to improve with writing this and since it clearly is not anymore then I will stop.
2. the very Few retarded Readers out there. there is a simple way to say this if you don't like a story then stop reading it, nobody cares about your opinion, don't share it. it will make the Author's mood gloomy no matter the person and result in him dropping the story, especially fanfiction because most Author's don't make money out of it and are most likely writing it out of passion and admiration for the original story or a character or etc. you ruin this feeling by flaming them, if you wanna share your opinion speak with logic and reason and help the Author become better by giving your opinion/advice in a respectful manner, I can go into a long discussion about this matter but lets stop it here.
3. the point of every story is to teach us how to be better, Romance at love and understanding the opposite sex, sci-fi at science and possible future of our technology, anime and things like that help open your mind and creativity sometimes they teach useful life lessons too, I can go on and on about this. my fanfic didn't have that feeling to it, any story that teaches nothing useful to its readers is just wasting the reader's time, it may make the reader feel good but in fact, is ruining their life by wasting their time for nothing. Having fun reading is not the most important part of it, the most important part is to learn and evolve. Wish-fulfillment stories have only two uses that I can think of, making the reader feel good about himself and heal some psychological problems, I don't wanna sin like that against people who support my story.
4. The problem with Webnovel's system is the fact that it forces you to have the feeling to write, I don't know how it does this but I reached a point where I couldn't stop writing, this caused alarm bells to ring in my mind and it made me rethink writing Fanfic. this could be only me though because when I don't write in Webnovel it causes me to feel this pressure to post a chapter.
that is pretty much it, I don't want to waste any more of your precious time so this is it.
Don't waste any more spirit stones on this Fanfic, it is dead for good.

It is unfortunate, or maybe most fortunate, but I am putting this story on ice, probably permanently. I had said that the last volume, volume 6, is going to be the last, and while I was almost done with it, with only a few chapters left in fact, I decided that it will just not do. Below, I will detail my reasons for doing so as well as a bit of introspection on what I've done so far.
I think we can all agree that an ending is supposed to be exciting, something to look forward to, but Vol. 6 is not that. Having gone over what I've written, I realized that there was nothing fun or interesting about it and was generally a slog to read through.  It would only have been a waste of everyone's time to read.
However, it's not just the ending. If coming up with a proper ending was the problem, then all I have to do is to rewrite it. The problem was in the story in itself, as most of you reading this probably have already known. This whole thing was poorly planned out, with hardly any planning at all in fact. I just wrote in whatever I felt like, tossing any half-baked ideas I thought up in there without thinking about how it'll fit the story and how I am supposed to bring it to a resolution. I thought that I would just figure it out as I go and turns out, it was a bad move overall, and I soon found myself spending more time thinking of ways to tie up loose ends and justify things I haphazardly tossed in than coming up with something actually interesting. I probably should have given the ideas more time, thought about it more thoroughly before commiting it into the story.
It was all very bad habits, habits that have never really caught my attention till now, when I'm seriously trying to complete a story. I never realized how important it is to have the right discipline when it comes to writing and that's about the only good thing I can say about this experience.
Another flaw I've found is the lack of world-building. The world of Elgardia was just too bland in the end. I thought that I'd fill it up as I go, but I should have put more thought into it before I even started writing. In the end, there simply wasn't much to do or going on in the setting and because of the ideas I just tossed into the story, there wasn't much I can do without breaking the premise I ended up creating. So, in the end, the story falls into the pattern of battles, preparing for battles, and then even more battles with hardly meaningful tidbits filling out the spaces in the middle. While unlike the setting, I had some ideas about where to take the characters, but due to how little there is going on with the world, there wasn't much I can do with them. Maybe I could have changed things up along the way somewhere, and I did try a thing or two, but in the end, they were half-baked, like the many ideas I've tossed into the story. And when it led up to the ending, the one thing I had planned of, it was just atrocious. Without the rest of the story supporting, the ending and the final twist I've planned felt more like a wet slap to the face than something even remotely surprising or entertaining.
There is no fixing this story as it is I'm afraid. Not me. I'm not that good, something that should be very clear by now. The only way I can think of is a complete revamp, change everything from the ground up. The characters I might keep, flesh them out more, change them a little here and there, but everything else needs a complete alteration. It would have to be a brand new story, one completely different from this amalgamation.
And so, this is why I'm putting this story on ice and I don't think I'll be reviving it, not as what it is. To those people looking forward to the ending, if you exist, I'm sorry. I rather this be remembered as a subpar, poorly thought out story than something much, much worse, which it will be should I ever complete it.
As for what I'll be doing. Well, I'm going to take a break from writing. Take my time reviewing what I've done wrong, about things I should and shouldn't have done, and hopefully come up with something far, far better in the near future.

A year ago, having lost the golden retriever that had accompanied him for fifteen years of his life, a retired sixty-odd years old man decided to distract himself by trying his hand at the MMORPG Elysium Online. And so, together with his guildmates and friends, Aurelius challenged the boss and after a difficult battle, finally defeated it and obtained the top spot of the fastest clear time for the boss. As they celebrate upon their victory, a rift opened up in the middle of the boss field and out of curiosity, Aurelius and the rest went on ahead and tried to interact with it. The result was that they were all suck into the rift and arrived in a parallel world.

Separated from the other, Aurelius found himself in a kingdom of humanoid creature with animal-like features such a ears and tails and that he himself, is the hero they have summoned to fight on their behalf. Determined to find his friends and protect these fluffy animal people, Aurelius now stand against the demon invasion with his various fluffy summoned creatures at his side.

This is my first time writing, well, in this site which I'm very new at, pft I don't even have a cover cause my laptop just suddenly broke out and I cant upload the cover currently.
This are the things that I think you readers should know.

1. Mysterious Things
There are things that are left to be not explained, currently. Because it will be just clues to the future things that will happen. So if there are things confusing, well, leave it confusing. But actually, there won't be that much mystery as how this just follows the canon of the story of Harry Potter. 

2. Story
Yes, I will follow the canon of the story. There might be a thing or two that will change, I won't be the author that will change the story entirely for the mc . He may be more talented as he got the plot's armour of course. But I won't be make the MC rebellious and such.

4. Dropping Chance
There will be a chance that I will drop this, and I already want you to know that. I only made this because of the time I have because of Covid19, I'm also writing other books in other sites, which if you add this one up, it's already 5 books I'm working at everyday. But the thing is, I treat the other three books seriously and doesn't publish it until I'm done with the whole story, and that's because I know how everything will play out. Not like this book and the other one book, where as I write, I get ideas while working on it. Might seems stupid but that's how I like it.

5. Copyright 
Of course, I don't own Harry Potter, I'm merely just using the story as m a fullfiller of my imagination and to spend time doing something and actually leveling my skills.

6. Mistakes
Yes, I'm a human, I do make mistakes. Such as grammars, spelling, and basically, my life is a mistake. I'm open for anything, I'm a laid back guy tbh, hate me like me, neither I care for really.

I'm not pursuing you to enjoy the story, give me some stones nor anything like that. I merely made this book for my satisfaction. And would like to share it with you guys for some idk reason.

7. If you find my story bothering, bad, or anything negative, please say it immediately. I mean, if your reason is rational. I'm very open to criticism, and even try to say how can I improve it, I would thankful to try it so. Even though Im writing five books, doesn't mean I'm already good. 8. Lastly, Ideas
I do know some readers here wants also their imagination or ideas to be fulfilled. That's a natural thing for readers to feel. Well, if someone do comment an idea that they want to happen. I may consider it or not consider it. That's one of the hard things in making a fan fiction that follows the canon. It's because you have to watch out for the things your MC will do, and it's consequences, you have to be logical, and things the MC should be always rational to continue with the plot. 

So I'm sorry if your idea doesn't get to happen. 
But then, I'm not expecting a lot of viewers. I once made a book on watpadd, when like, years ago, and hell it was already an achievement to get hundred viewers in it. 

Btw, when it comes to updating, idk even know if it will be frequent, even tho it's quarantine time I'm still busy af.

The Wizarding World was blissful as the young wizard hero, Harry Potter, has once again saved the world from the dark wizard, Voldemort.

Unknown to them, there were a lot more people who help to defeat the dark lord. But it just revolves the young man, Harry there, Harry here, Harry everywhere, as always.

Peculiar to his schoolmates, Ron, Hermione, and other more, one stand out from the rest. Unfortunately, not because of his heroic nor anything good in particular, but because of his bad deeds. A man named Elliot.

As I sleep, there is a voice trying to call out to me. 

"Hey, Wake up.."

I turned my head away. But the sound still didn't go away, instead the voice became even louder, Then, I felt a bit pain above my forehead.

"Write a good story, please make good books!"

I opened my eyes slowly. I didn't remember what I've been doing, nor have I found who was the voice calling out to me, and so too, was the wall I looked at which had some anime drawings plastered on with post-it's of notes beside. As I start to recall what I was going to say or do, just then, the tv in the bedroom turned on despite i was doing nothing, right I was surprised just getting up, and I remember about the book I was practising, as I ignore what happened just now, I get up and grab the phone on the stand and start typing words.

"Hello people, whoever reads my practice story book, I've come to tell you all about some stuff about this book, so here we go!"

All I could remember was when I finally broke down, my heartbeat was pounding like crazy for seconds, and I wanted nothing but to lie down on my bed for a brief rest, perhaps caused by 5 consecutive days of studying and working overtime  at my job I have pushed myself to the limit, to be honest I thought I was dead for a second, oh well, anyway, I am announcing a couple things relating to the story.

"Alright then, this story the way I wanted it to head has broken because of me, why sadly, cause of my practising and trying complicating paths for someone like me, I can't see how this is heading anymore, so it is like a puzzle with bad spellings and even different story writing styles or words layout.

"Despite that I'm still going to be posting here, as for the original story, I plan to re-write the whole thing once someone or myself finds the writing of it ok, what I mean is the way I try explaining my story's for the readers and my interest that I'm satisfied with so I could write more story's as I have a lot of ideas, but my way of explaining is awful I say."

Hello everyone, this is Voidne's Book of Ideas.  
In this book, I will share funny story ideas that I think is good, but have not the time to write.  (Feel free to pouch ideas from here if you want to get into writing).

I will basically put plots that I made in here, and you guys feel free to make a novel out of them if you want~.  But you should tell me when you write it XD, cuz I wanna read too :3

And if you are stuck at any point during your writing, I can provide you with ideas ( But it is preferable to ask your readers for ideas, because interactions between the readers and the writer are healthy ).

Hello everyone. I hoped you all liked my beginning ideas in this story. To be honest, I have a bigger project that includes a lot more lore. This was still fun to write, but sadly, not going to actually be my story. My other stories I was writing also included some of my ideas for the story I wish to write. I was also going to throw a few more fanfiction ideas in the mix, but I'm quickly running through ideas and I don't want to start another story I will not finish. Now, not too far in the future, I plan to start this story, and I'll post it on here for awhile until I have enough content for my actual book to be published. If you want any info on what the main character will be, look up the Immortal Witch trilogy. Oh wait, guess the proof is in the title itself. And yes, the main character is going to be a lesbian as well. I will use some lore from this book as well as others. A meek woman living as a commoner in the warring era. She gets captured by enemy troops, and brutally tortured for information on her nation. But what does a commoner know about the dynamic of her country? She isn't in the know, so they continue to torture her. They take turns doing unspeakable things to her, and one day she snaps. They toss her away in a remote location in the mountains, leaving her to die. She prays to any god that will give her the power to take her revenge out on the world for treating her so. And one goddess hears her plea. Nyx, of the Night. She bestows a gift to this hurt women. The power of shadow and darkness, the power to wreak havoc on all living creatures. She grants her the power of the Vampire. What's more, she offers a boon along side it, making her a pure blood vampire, a being whom isn't affected by the usual weaknesses of the vampire race, such as sunlight, or religion. There is just one thing the goddess asks,"Destroy the world, and you shall gain entry into my loving embrace." What will Evangeline do? Will she become death itself, or be the same weak hearted commoner? Or will she go one step further, and give her new goddess a boon that even she couldn't anticipate?

This is less an Analysis about myself and more about Authors as a whole. I only use myself as reference for the experiences a person can go through while attaining what some people call 'An Artistic Vision'.

But what is an artistic vision? I have gone through many stages as a writer, and the first step I took understanding why I love fiction was what made me less invested in a story filled with great themes but more entertained when events unfolding were simple.

My first work was a mess of a story that, when I look back to, didn't make any coherent sense except within the boundaries of my own mind. This is what taught me that writing with the thought of having another reading and giving feedback on my work was essentially a form of entertaining someone else with fiction.

So as a writer, was I supposed to be an entertainer catering to the masses? This opinion was cut down when I started to write a story that had every right to be able to catch people's eyes with how 'fresh and entertaining' it was, but suddenly found MYSELF not being invested by my story.

It was a strange paradox where what I was passionate about writing wasn't entertaining while the things that were more appealing and mainstream made what I thought to be a hobby more like self-imposed homework… and what everyone here can understand is that doing work is something a regular person would avoid if they were able to.

"I get no pay for becoming an 'entertainer', so why should I?" These were my thoughts as I continued to be on the line between writing for my audience and writing for my own amusement. Eventually, I came to a conclusion. 

"Why do I even write at all? Instead of writing something that definitely won't be a masterpiece, why don't I just read the well-known works of famous authors for my own amusement?" This thought became a unconscious thought, a worm burrowing into my mind without even realising it. I didn't even notice that I had already lost my qualification as an Author.

To write for oneself is to write a diary no one else would ever read. Although many unique ideas can come from writing this way, it ultimately lacks the understanding of readers that an Author shouldn't lack. 

To write for another is also not the right path to becoming one, as being too influenced by the opinions of others can make one fickle. A scene in your story you were proud of today could be something you want to delete tomorrow because it doesn't reach the perfection you are aiming for. If someone criticises some part of your work, then such thoughts will lead to an endless repetition of deleting and redoing pages.

The only way to overcome this paradoxical thought process is by having an artistic vision, and though I may be explaining it like it's an easy thing to achieve or something I fully grasp… In actuality, I don't…

The first artistic vision as a Author was to seek perfection in my storytelling, but the more I learnt about fiction, the more I learned of the purposeful imperfections in works that made them more memorable. To put it simply, even if an painter wants to add every colour of the world to a painting, it will only become jumbled mess if there isn't purpose behind what is being written into a story.

As an 'artist', I realised that I couldn't draw without inspiration to guide me. For I couldn't trust myself that the ideas I came up with by myself would even appeal to a wider audience. I experimented, and found that small touches made a story more worthwhile for my readers.

There was I time I wrote a story about reincartion and yet purposely left out key details about the character's past life like their name or age, even going so far as only including the parts the character was specifically affected by… The results were that a lot more people became invested in the main character's current life because there weren't two names distracting them for who the character currently was. 

They only knew the name of the character after reincarnation, and were therefore more closer to that character than any of the more 'perfected' characters I made before with literally their entire backstory spelled out for the reader.

It was then I remembered something that had truly become forgotten in my brain in the time I had been analysing tropes and what made story's appealing, I had forgotten that fiction wasn't 'art', but storytelling.

Subtext is created when the reader wants to know more about the characters themselves and looks for clues to figure out things that aren't explicitly 'told' to them. When a character is first introduced and they stutter in their interactions, it makes the reader unconsciously think that they aren't used to talking or are scared of something. When writing videos talk about 'show and not tell', it was THIS that they were referring to.

However, a story is essentially the Author 'telling' a reader a story through narration anyway, so how could I leave out information about a character's backstory in their introduction. The answer I found is that no real-life person is 'introduced' this way, most people I meet in real-life are those I can say I 'know' but only when talking about what I have found out about them at present.

It is through interacting that people know more about each other, but how can fictional characters inside my head form meaningful conversations when the entire point of them are to relay exposition that the narrator hasn't yet spoke of. It was hard to get past this problem as an artist, but as a storyteller, I found that the solution to this was changing who 'I' was interacting with.

I wasn't interacting with my characters, nor was I interacting with the fictional world I made. The true person I was interacting with was the individual I was narrating to… The person, who isn't me, that would read the text I was writing down to form a story.

Since I realised I was interacting with my readers through my narrations, I decided to switch things up and make them more lively. Instead of writing a summary of the events unfolding, I changed those events to fit the short attention span of new readers who wanted explosions every second, but as I followed along this path I realised that the 'narrations' I have became less genuine over time as story beats started feeling out of place and my own desire to write waned.

To become a storyteller isn't an easy thing, as I was still bound by the opinions of my audience. I became a comedian that tried to make my readers laugh, but found that my own laughter had died out in the process.

What was I supposed to do when becoming a storyteller was so much similar to becoming an entertainer? My answer was to go back to my roots and find out: What was I before an 'artist'?

I thought long and hard about it, then in a stroke of epiphany I had came to a conclusion: Was I not a kind of 'musician' that sought my own entertainment rather than the acceptance of others? Wasn't story's something I wrote purely for my own enjoyment?

And now, my artistic vision had matured. Rather than trying to 'entertain' an audience, I wanted the future me who had forgotten about my story to look back and enjoy it just as I have enjoyed the works of others.

Whether it be sci-fi, mystery, fantasy, or comedy… I want to look back on the story I told and see something that can make me feel emotions I had forgotten in the years that went by. If it's a Greek Tragedy, then I want to feel the helpless in knowing the flawed perspectives of the world that could caused the tragedy to happen.

Similar things could be said for mystery or fantasy. If I had a purpose when writing a story, then I don't want a glossary which either outright tells me about the world I built. Instead, I want to be entertained, moved, and more intrigued by the story anyone else!

After all, once I've finished writing the story, I am no longer the 'musician' or storyteller. I am the reader!

But even with this realisation, there was a chance I'd relapse if I didn't keep my previous lessons I learned in mind. If I was to chase 'perfection' again and think too hard about whether I'm talented or not, there wouldn't be any stories written to prove that I can overcome those who are only a tiny bit more talented than me but put in less effort.

If I sought too much for recognition and inspiration from outside sources, then I'd might as well send my work to a publisher rather than keeping my work a hobby.

And if I truly wanted to write a story that isn't going to be dropped, then I must plan a consistent story in mind that has a beginning and end. I could only choose to write for my future self rather than the readers that might or may not be interested in my work.

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.
