Spiderweb is like one of those spur of the moment thoughts that get built up and form a whole plot. I was reading a story that had a villians as a main character and I was like.... I wanna do that too so boom, Regan was born, (fun fact, I had a big writer's block and used a generator to come up with her name XD) I wanted someone who I could make thoroughly suffer in order to blossom into the queen she is. Originally, she was supposed to kill both Gradis and Layla but that was kinda a too calm and not interesting ending, worse of all, I won't have spent a lot of time with y'all. So I decided to leave it at a point where a season two can built on it, BUT that would half depend on u and how I feel XD so do you want a season two? do you???? XD lemme know in the comments!

 "You will have to bet to see it."

 Titor and Jan twitched the corners of their mouths, the Sealord looked at Jin in confusion.

 "Anyway, what do you have to lose? I already gave up much of the profit that should be rightfully mine."  Jin spoke.

 The only reason why Jin wants such a small slice of the total profit, is that he needs investments right away, he can't wait until the drug can be mass produced and make a big return.

 Titor looked at Jin and asked:

 "Why is Nero not participating in the production of this medicine?"

 "..." Jin didn't answer and just looked at him with a serene expression.

 After thinking for a long time, Titor nodded to Jin, soon after, Jan did the same, much to Sealord's shock.

 Hesitating, the Sealord asked:

 "And what guarantee do I have to-"

 "You do not have."  Jin replied briefly, cutting off the Sealord's speech.

 Titor and Jan smiled bitterly.

 The Sealord looked at Jin for a while and said:

 "Very well, I will put my trust in you ... But words prove nothing to anyone who has not heard them."

 Everyone understood what he meant and nodded.

 A contract explaining the profit sharing of the medicine for each of them, as well as the direction of the related businesses and Jin's condition.

 After everyone signed a contract, Sealord warned:

 "I'm going to need another witness, because of Jack's young age ... Where's Nero?"

 "Is this really necessary?"  Jin asked with a tired expression.

 Titor laughed and waved to the Sealord, who shrugged.

 "Really, Jack, can you explain to us what exactly this medicine is and what it does?"

 Jin explained the concept of antibiotics, and their effectiveness briefly.

 After hearing that the remedy could treat almost all infections, varying the fungus used, everyone kept their mouths open.

 Especially Titor and Jan, who regretted coming to negotiate with Sealord.  They could simply create unimaginable wealth even without his support.

 Either way, the feat is done, and now they are looking towards "little Jack's" next projects.

 Jin then explained that he urgently needed funds for his current project.

 The three quickly agreed to support Jin and "invest".

 Sealord said it would help Jin with the tax issue.

 After that, Jin left the palace satisfied and went to the smithy, not to make molds, because this time, he will hire employees!

 Jin hired several blacksmiths and other workers at well above average wages in order to attract even a few more experienced blacksmiths.

 Jin explained to them the location of the shed and the terms of the contract.

 Everyone was surprised, they would only need to work 11 hours a day!  Apart from that accommodation would be built next to the shed for those who do not want to be coming and going from Braavos.

 The employees ended up wasting a lot of materials in the learning process, but this could not be avoided.

 Jin calculated that it would not be long before the first power generator started up, and the first light bulb illuminated this medieval world.

 It is a noteworthy fact, the generators that Jin planned are different from ordinary ones on Earth, they are simpler, they do not need magnets, they have stable electromagnetic fields with simple materials and a crude design.

 The lamps are also simpler and more efficient, despite using the same principles as those on Earth.

 As the factory started operating, Jin continued to translate the Gray Book, which was now teaching rituals and necromancy spells, to Jin's surprise.

 Some rituals were evil even from Jin's point of view, while others were milder.

 Week after week, Jin was getting closer and closer to translating the book completely, and even his Yi Ti writing skills were well advanced, although he had no idea how to pronounce the words.

 After Jin finally managed to get closer, Jin saw Nero beside the Generator he designed.

 "Finally you arrived, the employees, after so much effort, finally managed to build this thing as it is in the plans, so what? How the hell does it work and what exactly does it do?"  Nero asked and the employees around him also looked at Jin with a confused expression.

 Jin frowned a little and asked:

 "What about the lamps? I can't demonstrate anything without them."

 Shortly after Jin spoke, one of the employees brought a large box full of lamps to Jin, who opened his eyes wide.

 "Come on boy, I want to know if my money was well spent or not!"  Nero urged.

 Jin shrugged and started explaining how to get the generator to work, and asked employees to bring some copper cables from inside the factory.

 Jin had ordered relatively thin cables, as, for now, the generators would only power a few lamps.

 There was a river a few miles from the factory, but Jin wanted to take advantage of the strong winds of the day.

 He had asked some workers to build a structure similar to a windmill, but with some changes, so that it was possible to fit the generator in the back and make the movement of the mill rotate the main axis of the generator.  The mill was also made so that its shovels were extremely light, facilitating circular movement.

 Transforming mechanical energy into electrical energy was the most basic principle of the generator.

 After several minutes, they managed to fit the generator firmly behind the main axis of the mill, and connected the cables, positive and negative, to the generator.

 Jin was careful to cover parts of the cables with insulating material, to avoid accidents, and also bought some insulating gloves.

 After everything seemed okay, Jin then had the shovels of the mill released, and they started to spin with the force of the wind.

 Seeing everything seem to be right, and with the generator showing no problems he then started some preparations to turn on the lamps.

 He knew he couldn't connect the lamp directly to the current, so he prepared some small equipment that would adjust the electric current and the ddp.

 It didn't take much effort to manufacture them, so Jin didn't put in much effort and just explained a blacksmith from Braavos how they should be made.

 After that, Jin finally plugged a lamp into the chain, and it exploded.

 Everyone went wide-eyed and looked at Jin.

 Jin was a little surprised and quickly checked that everything was regulated correctly, finding some errors in the resistors, and corrected them.

 He then took another lamp ... and it exploded.

 It was only at the eighth lamp, when everyone was wondering if it would work or not, that the lamp finally lit, to Jin's relief.

 Seeing the light coming out of the bulb made in an unsophisticated way and more like a science fair job, Jin felt satisfied.

 The men were interested and then started to fix the lamps.

 After verifying that the available cables would be sufficient, Jin was delighted to have the wind tower built near the factory built.

 He then planned to expand production at the factory, the ten thousand square meters guarantee plenty of space for now.

 It was at sunset that everything was finally fixed.  And Jin then waited for the sun to go down to turn on all the lamps with a homemade breaker.

 When all the lights went on, everyone's eyes widened.  The darkness of the night was completely gone, it was on a different level than candles and torches.

 Even a few miles away, the light was brighter than anything on land.

 Jin smiled in satisfaction, and Nero's mouth was open.

 "Didn't I tell you? We will be the richest men in Braavos ..." Jin murmured to Nero.

 "Candle makers will definitely want to kill us."  Nero then spoke with a small smile.

 "They can try ..." Jin murmured with a strange gleam in his eyes.  He was just in need of guinea pigs for the spells and rituals he read in the book.

 Jin then went inside the factory, more than half of the space was still empty, since the molds for making the lamps do not take up much space and the molds for the generators are simple.

 It was dark with only a few torches and chandeliers lighting up part of the space.

 Jin looked around and shouted at the employees:

 "Don't you want to see what it would be like if the entire interior of the factory was also lit? Finish the lamps for that in three days and everyone will get a bonus!"

 The employees looked at each other and nodded.

 Nero decided to have a party in celebration and ordered them to bring a feast of Braavos, with good wine!

In his childhood, Jin showed great talent in his studies, being very dedicated from an early age until he entered high school, when he began to lose interest in most subjects because of his considered "distorted" philosophy.

Despite suffering some problems in high school because of his "distorted" way of thinking, Jin had no difficulties in making friends with his colleagues and even dated for a while with a girl in his class.

But, due to bad luck, on his last day of school Jin managed to be kidnapped because he was curious and heard what he shouldn't have.

After being kidnapped, Jin was taken to a underground facilities where, after a few days, the kidnappers seemed to have found some use for him.

Unfortunately for Jin, he had just entered a den of scientists, 'mysterious and dangerous beings'. And he ended up being frozen alive in a cryogenic experiment.

But, so far, everything seems 'normal', so what could have done Jin not just died?

But they spent so long underground and influenced by their inheritance that they evolved to be something different entirely while the outside world passed them by.
(The original character of Noone I made was for a dnd campaign years ago, and his design (as well as the design of the people of Tapestry) are heavily influenced by the "Earth Genasi" race in 5e)

There was almost nothing about Min, anywhere. He seemed the perfect example of a loner. Friendless. Unremarkable. Somehow, he could understand how that would make the academy the perfect refuge, if he was in danger. 
 He was finally ready to accept that he was Min. If the bug or whatever he found was on his account, hidden in the logs, then he no longer had it. But was that the only copy he had? He thought hard. He was himself. Even with his memories lost, what made him and defined him would be unchanged. And so, if he thought hard, about it or anything else, he would be thinking the same as the him with the memories. 
 So, what would he do? Would he have only one copy? 
 Absolutely not. 
 If he made copies, would he save them on his account space on the server? 
 Absolutely not. He would ensure that the copies were somewhere safe, somewhere no electronic code could reach. He would keep copies written in hand, hide them where no one would think of searching. 
 The library. 
 He pulled up the academy map. He found the library easily enough. But where was he? Sure, he was in his dorm. But which hostel was it? 
 He committed the map to memory. Took some effort and time. But he had enough energy and patience. He made a mental note of how easy it was. When he was ready, he wore a blank face and walked out. 
 It was late in the morning. Most doors were closed shut, seeming like the dorms were empty. The few students that were in the hostel were all boys.  He studied the book carefully, and found a thin sheet of paper folded in half twice hidden underneath the book's jacket. He put the book back on the shelf and walked away with the sheet of paper to the sitting area. He grabbed a thick book along the way. Symbols - The origins of cryptology, by Prof Adkirn. He lay the book open in front of him while he actually studied the sheet of paper that he laid open on the book. 
 He didn't need long to decipher the key. It was his own code. Then, he began reading earnestly.

What if all you had was a video message you left for yourself, warning you that you were in grave danger? 

What if the only way to survive was in discovering what you forgot? 

And what if your biggest enemy was yourself?

That was the primal directive. Min needed time to understand, to accept. But time was the one thing he didn't have. 

He woke up with no memories. He only had the one video message he left himself to work with. The video told him he was a beta tester of Gaia, and he had discovered a bug that could very well be intentional. 

What he was asking of himself was to be a hero. But was that what he wanted? Was that really him in the video? 

If it was him, why go through all that trouble? Why did he delete all of his memories himself? 

Who were the people helping him from the shadows? Were they friends? Or, were they something else entirely? 

Who were those that were after him? Were they all related to Gaia? Or were there other secrets too? 

School was the perfect refuge. Friendless and unremarkable, he couldn't be hidden better. But with less than three months to graduation, he was running out of time...

Warning this chapter is an info-dump to justify partially the races of the world through the lens of our currently naive protagonist so can be skipped.

After listening to the story many revelations where revealed, Spirits, dragons, Dungeons and that Different races wondered world existed,Also a confusing concept raised in that killing living beings result in a boost in power which also lead to assumptions forming .It was confusing and the contents of the book may have been more than detailed for a child but for his needs it was usefull ,He  was happy he could gleam so much from the book.

For one the humans would be considered weak in this ecososm of power where mages where the top humans where other races far surpassed them in this aspect. Under Masons deduction humanity one of the weakest.

There existed elves which are blessed with longevity , magic prowess ,keen agility which makes them outclass humans ,In the story it depicted them differently as the hero reached different areas of the world where they were consistently different and the most abundant was the wood elf ,Mason believed these beings evolved to be better suited to magic and the use of it ,Also he deducted that there was a elf corresponding to elements and there psychical states will be moulded by these elements , Dark Elf is what he believed was from the race evolved in a dark element rich environment, Sea Elf from the evolution in water element rich environments, Wood Elfs from a rich life essence environment which was the yellow element which both healed Mason & gave him the miraculous ability, There body's from the story where described as stick but very agile which means they would probably susceptible to physical trauma  . Also in that they evolved in area they most likely stay in that area and not want to go out there ancestral ground, hence why they probably have not taken over most of the world or concerned most of the world.

Dwarfs also existed which were stunted , brutally strong and stalwart, they lived in holds or where nomadic smiths ,they are inured to magic essence meaning they cannot cast spells but they seemingly developed rune craft which allows magic effects to take place but much safer, Most likely this is the what the other races copied to get there enchanting, in the story they forged and enchanted the weapon of the hero and a smith followed him to maintain such a weapon, He assumed they evolved within a gravity rich environment due to their stunted height and strength  as well as where they mined resources in the same environment as the book mentioned they have the best metals ,meaning gravity must of compressed the  to a extent to form carbon crystals so hence there body's are strong and very resilient or maybe they were just that good at smiting .This lack of magic probably lead to their advancing in forging and the dwarfen  holds probably have higher technology than here in the area of the world where humans resided, he still didn't know how large the world was a map that encompassed the world probably was costly so he nor his family had access to it.

Beastmen where the general term for half beasts or pure beastmen  which were unable to use any type of magic and there bodys where much stronger and more agile as a result of the bestial bloodline in their veins ,The hero in the story obtained a slave beastmen and in such a cliché way he released this slave but the slave decided to follow him, From what he could gleam they far surpassed humans but dwarfs where stronger while elfs faster .This lead into the fact they seemed like a slave race or target of being a slave race due to the strongest beings are those able harness magic and they could not in any way .

Spirits are baseline magic entities which can contract with a individual as they did with the Knight in the story. They have a consciousness and From what Mason could deduct these spirits where either a simulacrum of their previous being with there memories as electromagnetic impulses stored magical into a incorporeal state and he believed the memory transfer may be not dissimilar to his own predicament or they were a true anomalous entity and spirits do exist which would mean he took over the body from the child and expunged the Child's spirit.

A dragon was the main antagonist from the story and from what he could tell these beings are very intelligent and very confused ,it can speech the language of the races, From what was described they could fly with 2 large wings and breath a fire which melts metal and scales resistant to everything from ballista and mortal weapons and resistant to normal magic, These beings where probably the apex predator of this world, he deduced either that the dragon uses phenomena to produce both these effects or has evolved to the point of being able to as the fire could be result of a collection of flammable substances in a gland in the dragon where they can release this which ignites when it contacts oxygen ,as well if it can melt metal it is at minimum  as hot as 1000-1500C which made him shudder, the ability  fly it could of evolved with a hollow bone structure ,That would mean if you could determine where either this gland is you could cause the dragon to explode from the inside or use blunt force trauma to break its bones as the scales probably deflected slashing type weapons ,Though the hero in the story just cut the beasts head off.

The book skimmed past concepts of giants which seemed to be large entities which used bows which made them a force to be reckoned with as they are like ballista's while dungeons where a recurring "monster " generator and magical beasts, Also it skimmed over information he badly wanted which was the elements and the information was subpar and only said that the hero was so chosen he could use them all and the only elements he knew of where the ones where the hero met a elf and if they were connected to a race.Also one regrettable thing which was left out was a very relevant information for Mason about how killing other living things result in a power boost.

All of this made Masons zealously speculation trying to make sure he knows as much as he can as even though it was a kids book it's still held use and he will still need to gather more books through growing up to establish the correct hypothesis of the origin of the races.

Not long after this Masons did not recognise the time but his childish body did recognise the time passing and the first true day of his rebirth was completed as he slept in the co

The Year is 2129 ,phenomena appeared within the month of June like a apocalypse decimating areas of the world where magical like anomalies appeared destroying areas like malevolent entities and it did so as if warping reality to its whim ,A new profession of analysers was born which analyse this phenomena where they must understand all the concepts of science there minds can comprehend to deduct these phenomena and try to scientifically justify it to try to save the peoples lives.
This will have transmigration element as the main factor, i now its cliche .This is just a little project im working on in spare time just to try out writing a novel for the first time   so please do give criticism where is due and help me correct and improve.

"I can't believe that you're still shocked when encountering Fantasy generator type of books. Those are the most cliché and dumb ones." These are the ones I hate the most. I mean, I have a neutral relationship with cliché but if you multiply it by a thousandth and put it in a book, that's where it gets worse. 

"Ew... Anyways, it's about an earl's daughter named Nora Bennet, she's loved and doted on by her family and blah, blah, blah I knew it... It's those typical crap."

"Ah yes, lemme guess. She captures the hearts of a Prince or king as well as a duke or grand duke which in time turns into the villain because of his love for the fl and gets killed by the prince which became king making the girl a queen.... Happily ever after. " I can recite the whole thing if I can. There's a lot of distinct types. The transmigratory type, or reinacrnation type, the Otome type, the reverse-harem type, and etc.

"Oh not only that, It's all in here." Oh... The worst one, where everything and anything is just jammed pack. I just hope that I don't get to be the villainess.

"Oh, I'll sew it right back up then." Iris threw me the book and I ripped a page.

"Here we go again..." I sighed as I slowly disappear and travel through the dimension warp.

It help slowing the aging process making some user live up to 200+ year old, no one know if it can go higher. 
It react strongly with mana to the point of explosion.

A power found in the air and released by the Dragon Vein (Cemetery of Dragon). At first only used by the Dragon and their descendant (Draconian, Wyvern, etc...), it slowly began to be released in the world after the corpse of dragon started to decay. Mostly used by Caster type fighter, this energy is absorbed inside the body and stocked inside the heart slowly modifying it to become a mana generator similar to the dragon heart.
The heart and vein become a highly durable crystalline material after the complete transformation into a mana generator.

It react strongly with Vitality to the point of explosion.

The Druid possess the ability to transform into any animal they have an affinity with.
If the affinity is high enough they can transform into spirit animal.
Druid don't need to chant as long as they are close to Nature (Tree, animals, insect, etc...) they can simply ask for help and the nature around them will help.
Druid can use Elemental type of magic but most of them refrain of doing to not destroy the nature around them, most the unorthodox type use it since they are not always in contact with Nature.

Some people may have seen some of my dropped, before they even began, novel the cause of this is that I have absolutely no talent in writing and lose the will to write after writing and rewriting again and again the first chapter so from now on I will simply put my random idea here.
If this can help an author, be it with because of the suggestion or simply give him inspiration with these idea I will be happy!

Here the category, each chapter will have at least two idea and each chapter is part of only one category:

I will make a discord so that people, if they want, can ask me to add their Idea or if they simply want to discuss the idea found in this list.

Time started flying by ever since I watched the spar between Lilu and Jade. 
Lilu and Crim started the academy which made me mostly only see them during dinner, Crim especially. Most of their time they spend either training or learning about 'Dust', the very same crystal I saw that thief used to evade the guard.
Remembering how that crystal exploded into a shower of lightning, I wasn't fully comfortable seeing Crim holding one, albiet a blue one, to show off to the other kids.. Jade was nearby eyeing like a hawk incase of accidents, which I don't blame her.
Somehow, I'm not sure when, I gathered the ire of Crim. Who lately has been growing into quite a asshole, or maybe he always been like that, I don't know. Rarely interracted with the brat.

Lilu, however, has been growing quite fond of me. When Raye or Jade was unable to take care of me, Lilu, using her valuable training time, always volunteered.
Although it was, and still, is awkward being around her, her taking care of me realised she is particularly lonely. Other words, She is not really friends with anyone here, much to my confusion.
My first real impression of her was when she sparred with Jade, she seemed like a friendly hardworking girl, but it seem that was her when she fights, outside battle she is a quiet loner who doesn't feel comfortable near others, this trait becomes very obvious when she is near boys.

1st month marked quite a odd time for everyone in the orphanage, especially Crim.
A few faunus huntsmen came by the orphanage one day, informing Crim that his brother is MIA, but confirmed not dead. They left shortly after they delivered something to Crim.
From that point onwards he became even more difficult to deal with as he was prone to violent outbursts, constantly arguing with Jade in the kitchen about something, never got the chance to hear the kids tantrum as Raye always took me and the kids away when it happened.

I noticed pretty quick that Crim had soured any relationship he had with his friends in the orphanage, ended up training somewhere else that wasn't the orphanage, mostly only appearing during dinners as Jade was still his guardian.

Days came and went, and I started develop a distaste of being carried.
Although it felt great being carried everywhere, there was an underlying itchiness that I really hated whenever it happened.
It was only during the 3rd month in this odd new world when I finally was able to take my very first step.
''C-Come to us, Lapis!'' Lilu blushingly said as she and Raye was crouched down next to eachother, both cheering on me as I stood by the sofa, trying woobly take my first step in my baby body.

It was quite embarrassing, with Jade and some of the children looking and waiting on me to take a step, I felt a odd pressure that made me start laughing in my head.
'Its as if i'm being peered pressured into taking my first step, jeez' Lapis couldn't help but to think with a light smile.

Letting go and at the same time using the sofa to push me forwards, I took my first step, although my legs were wobbling alot, I managed to take another before..

*BANG*

Faceplanting staight into the floor.
''L-Lapis!'' Lilu said with a panic as she rushed forward to check if I was alright, Raye just on her heels.
''N-Nn...'' Lapis quietly let out, ignoring the pain of his nose, he looked up at Lilu, giving her a light smile as she and Raye started to panic. ''Get some paper'' Raye said to some of the children, who hurringly went to the kitchen.
Only a second passed before there was a light laughter coming from the room, everyone, Lapis included looked at the direction of who laughed.
'Of course it's him' Lapis thought, as Crim, the brat who laughed merely looked around before mouthing an 'What?' as he started walking out to the backyard, very likely to train again.

Next 3 months, I spend most of the time trying to walk better during the day, and at night lightly grind my Meditation skill.
Before I even noticed, I spend most of my time with Lilu, who accepted my company. Although I was unable to speak, it seemed like she prefered the silence, merely enjoy my presence.
I came to enjoy her company aswell, and as if she knew, she kept showing me various of books she had to learn from the academy that I was curious about
.
'Various Dusts and how to use them' was one of the first books I was shown, originally thought that I would be unable to read what the book said, and had to focus on the colorful pictures, I was abit surprised when I realised I was able to read the book.

'I guess it isn't one of those scenarios where I'm able to speak their language but unable to read it' Lapis mumbled to himself as he recalled the time he met the gnomes for the first time.
'In that eternal hellhole, language wasn't a barrier as two could speak different languages and there would be no confusion, confusion only came when one tried to read another races books or scripts'

From the book, I learnt that each crystal is color coded, Lightning would be Yellow and the blue one Crim showed off would be a Water one.
Didn't get a chance to read the others before Lilu took the book away, 'Next time..' I thought before she placed another book infront of me, and then going back writing on her current homework.
'Kinda surprised each kid get their own room though' I thought as I looked around the room, 'Lilus room isn't really girly though..'

So because of Lilu, I learnt what first years of the academy had to learn.
Usage of Dust, awakening and training ones Aura, combat techniques, survival training and much to my surprise, Blacksmithing.
That one came out of the blue when she placed down a book about smithing and forging weapons, and what kind of techniques for what shaping was needed, and how to maintain and repair weapons.
'Does that.. mean.. that guard guy forged that weapon himself?' I couldn't help but exclaim in surprise, remembering he had an icon of huntsman, same that Cole had on his armor.

There was one more book that students of the academy had to learn, but that one I wasn't allowed to look at. 'Scary pictures' was the excuse Lilu used.
So with that, the scenario where a purple haired girl was writing and learning while a white haired child was on the floor, flipping the pages of the book occasionally. Happened often.
The days when Lilu didn't have homework, she spent her time training with her spear. I followed and watched her as I found her to be quite like an fairy during those days.

And like that the 6th month since the spar was reached, with Jade teasing Lilu for me being always around her, much to her embarrassment. 

Only people I really interracted with was Jade, Raye and Lilu.
The Goblin Trio sometimes, when they caught me trying to escape from them that is.
I been dodging Crim, especially being alone with him, I'm don't know why he is angry at me, but my gut feeling tells me that he will bully me the very second he gets the chance. He is not very good at hiding his intent.

That day had an heatwave washing over the kingdom of Vacuo, the children was forced to play inside as the heat was abit unbearable for them, me included.
Just like the past days, I found myself in Lilus room once more, with her doing homework like always.

'Such a hardworker' Lapis mused as he found himself reading a new book. Rather than the academy books Lily got, he ended up reading a fairy tale that Raye gave him, or specifically, Lilu to give to him when he needed 'reading time', Lilu probobly didn't realise Raye ment that she was suppose to read it to me, instead she just left me it before going back to her homework.. 'But I don't think she would be able to read a whole fairy tale to me without flustering or stuttering', Lapis thought, so he was fine with this arrangement either way.

'The Story of the Seasons' was the fairy tales name, it had very colorful pictures, so I can understand why children would like this book.
The premise was quite simple, a hermit was visited by four women, each represented a season. Each woman taught the hermit a lesson and showed him kindness, the hermit was moved by this kindness and, in return, revealed himself to be a wizard, gave each woman a great power. And with this great power, each woman started wandering the world spreading their gifts and kindness to others.
Creating an cycle of kindness.

Guessing the purpose of this fairy tale was to make children kind to others, but it creates this illusion that they would expect to be given kindness too.

'That's not how the real life works' he couldn't help but to grumble, eyes slowly started to frost over. 'Give them a inch, they'll take a mile. Give them kindness, they'll exploit you, backstab you and kill your loved ones infront of you.' 
If anyone watched Lapis at this moment, they would have noticed his eyes are colder than the frigid winter itself, A light gasp echoed out in the room as Lapis eyes returned to their former glow, as he looked up onto Lilu, who currently looking around in panic.

''W-What was that?.. I-Is someone playing w-with the temperature generator?'' Lilu exclaimed before looking over her shoulder onto Lapis. ''Y-You okay, Lapis?'' Lapis hesitantly nod before going back to his books, with Lilu calming down before doing the same.
Lapis however wasn't reading the book, instead his mind was in conflict from the new system notification.

Lapis just froze as he observed that error notification, originally he was happy with it. Thinking 'Woo, new skill' 
'But this..' he thought.. before a sharp sense of pain stabbed into his brain, at that moment he
thought someone had stabbed his head with a dagger. The sharp sudden pain completely knocked his breath away, forced him to wrap his head with both of his hands. 

An light thump sound alerted Lilu, who turned around and saw Lapis who were twisting on the floor with a few splatter of blood next to him. Lilu panicked and started calling for help, not caring at that moment if she would lose her voice.
But Lapis was unable to hear her, at that moment, the pain overwhelmed all his senses, the feeling of something grinding in his head constantly, but he heard something whispering at the back of his mind, something that made the pain feel even worse, even when he was unable to hear what the whispers said.
He saw a new window pop up infront of him the very second the pain vanished, surprising him at the same time as he still had his eyes closed, but able to see and read it as if his eyelids didn't exist.
But he was only able to read the name of the skill he got before he blacked out, exhausted from the ordeal.

In a place where the skies are fractured, endlessly across the sky, and landscapes from twisted imagination, ever changing hellscape, A lone hooden man stood.

Overlooking the lands, the man let out a depressed sigh as he sat down, watching the lands shift in its shape and form.

''How long have I been here..'' the man mumbled, he remembered a much simpler time.
This eternal world is unforgiving, and made him do so many things he regret.
Looking up to the eternal sky, he watched as various of things shifted into it.
Sometimes it was nothing, blank. Sometimes there was 'Stars'.
Most of the times, there was countless eyes, giving the feeling of something always watching you.
The Weave.
A cruel mistress, loved to torture you, break you, using your worst fears against you.
Those who were unable to endure broke under pressure, and those who broke was the weaves favorite food.

People refused to be toyed by the weave, and so even the kindest man eventually became a bloodthirsty being.
In the name of survival.. and a middle finger to the weave itself, 
As long as we stay.. 'Sane'.. it cannot touch us, merely taunt us..
But the moment we lose ourself, without hesitation, the weave attack us with the intent to devour us.

Mortal, demon, gods, it doesn't matter.
Everything was food to it.

As the man started having dark thoughts and emotions of a long forgotten time bubbling forth, he noticed the land vibrate in response, small cracks started to form around his location.
''Shit.. Let my mind go abit too far, huh..'' The man mused as he stood up from his spot, observing the cracks growing larger and larger.

''So what are you throwing towards me this time, Weave?'' he mumbled, as fair red-haired woman stepped out of the cracks, fitted in dark living armor, with black tar like veins flowing on the skin on the woman as she looked towards the direction of the hooded man, who slightly reeled back before his gaze turned cold, and a feeling of dread washed over the area.

''Mother..''

'Mother' Lapis gentle exclaimed as he opened his eyes in confusion, before calming down as he watched the ceiling.
Lapis eyes were clouded as he replayed a memory long forgotten, before turning his head, noticing the clock being on 10:02.
Turning his head to the other side of the bed, he saw Lilu sleeping next to him while holding his hand gently.
With a rush of memories of what happened yesterday, Lapis couldn't help but to feel sorry for Lilu.
'I must have worried her alot..' he letting out with a sigh before he hesitantly closed his eyes to access his system window.
'Lucky there is no school day today, or else i'd feel pretty bad for her if she missed a school day.'

(First Novel/Fanfic, Mercy (╥﹏╥))

Fresh scarlet fell upon her cheeks which released her from the trance. Coming to realization to the victor of the fight, the sense of guilt was developed. Her contribution could've changed the outcome. She stared into his lifeless face which was filled with melancholy and doubts, and the impaled enemy slowly coming closer to him. Noel had seen that face before because she used to have it.

"Um? Do you like this school?" she asked. "Um? I like this school!" It sounded much like a dream come true for a world without monsters to exist, but his presence coming to Densetsu became living proof that such a world did exist. She wiped the tears away, and she stretched her leg forward.

Extending her arm forward, she shouted with a glorious cry, "Don't give up, Kotaro!"

Kotaro opened his eyes. He gazed upon those azure eyes. Their hands stretched their feeble-hand branch to each other, and a bright yellow light surrounded their hands upon contact. "Don't you ever dare give up on me!"

Both Yuuki and Riku witnessed a phenomenon that occurred between the two which led to a single conclusion; the Infinite Loop had been broken at last. Thus, a new timeline was born.

He regained the strength to remove NEW's grasp on him, and he grabbed hold of Noel's helping hand. Kotaro turned his head to NEW, who began to disintegrated within the depths of flames. His eyes stared no further, unable to bear witness of human-like machine burning into cinders. Tears flew from NEW's face moments before she was ablaze, her arms tried reaching for Kotaro before vanishing away, never to be seen again. Then, Noel began collecting tears of her own.

The shrine maiden couldn't keep her eyes off from the two. "Free at last," she mumbled before transforming her blank face into a smile.

"What's this? The shrine maiden worried of another loop? Who would've thought someone as powerful as you would be worried!"

Riku released a deep breath and rolled her eyes. "You should be careful with what comes out of your mouth. You know what I'm capable of."

Noel cried on Kotaro's shoulder. "H-hey! Why are you crying?"

"I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have let you fight that girl all by yourself! I'm so sorry. This is all my fault!" Noel apologized, sobbing. Noel's eyes met Kotaro's, and his face turned crimson. Such a puppy look from her had weakened him into submission.

Kotaro looked away. "Noel, you can stop crying!" The young man couldn't stop her tears. The battle against NEW despite resolved had proven his inexperience which frightened him, but he somewhat felt a strong connection within this unknown world. This train of thought further became a piling snowball of anxiety, and he was sure this world had the answers to his past--it was a path to the future he wasn't sure to be walking in.

"Your job isn't over yet! The generator is still active, and unless it isn't destroyed, the people here will continue to be sick because of you two!" said Riku.

"Huh," Kotaro startled, hearing the shrine maiden's voice out of nowhere. "Y-You can see us, and even talk to us from this far?"

"That's right, don't you remember the energy I gave you?" Power ran in his veins, feeling his muscles become more tense in his body. "Think of it as a connection. My power runs in you, much like yours is in me. I can hear you just like how you can hear me no matter how far we are distant from each other."

"Sounds romantic," commented Yuuki. Then Kotaro heard the sound of smacks being emitted from the other side. "Oww, you hit hard! I'm merely joking."

"What are you standing there for? Get up and destroy the generator,"

"R-Right," he stood up, reminded of his main objective, and he proceeded to the next room. The dark hall felt almost endless as the two moved onward, but the rustling sound of an engine echoed across the hall--the emitted noise only grew louder, and the two quickly detected it. Lights illuminated toward the dim path, approaching a large sphere spinning rapidly and creating an undesirable stench. Both Kotaro and Noel, with their noses pinched, traded nods before working together as a team to defeat the generator.

"Attack Skill: Starlight Arrow!" Noel fired an arrow of light.

"Power Sword," the stick transformed, and he charged forward to impale the steel into the generator. Together with their attacks combined, the generator reacted unpleasantly. First, it successfully stopped moving. Electricity became sparking around it before parts of the circular machine began flying all over the place. One of the pieces started flying towards the two, but neither of them hardly gained the chance to avoid it.

Kotaro shrieked, trying to cover himself with his noodle arms, and his eyes shut. "Huh?" He noticed his presence elsewhere, no longer in that faculty with the destroyed generator. Although, he wondered how he appeared outside so quickly. Then he felt a pat on the shoulders from Yuuki before being praised for his attempts in stopping the machine. "How did I get here?"

"That was Yuuki's power. He has the power to manipulate boundaries," Riku answered. The young man aimed his eyes toward Yuuki, who retaliated with a smile. I thought he only has the power to restart the day.

He clapped in rapid succession with a huge smile. "Great job, you two! The Infinite Loop Incident has been solved at last!"

"Now that the generator is gone for good, why don't we celebrate in the shrine?"

"Good idea, so long as you clean up your mess," replied Riku.

"A celebration?"

Hours had passed so quickly as the four worked hard to decorate the shrine. For a celebration, the place was illuminated with many torches, creepy masks hung around the pillars, and food stands that was ready for all guests. The moon had arrived under the quiet shrine, followed by the songs of crickets, and the owls uttering a hoot.

"Just a warning, Kotaro, as soon as we're done decorating this place, there will be a fair amount of monsters here; don't worry though, they're friendly!"

"Monsters? But, aren't you the shrine maiden? The one who exterminates them?" He quivered with the thoughts of murderous creatures wanting to feast on the weak.

"Monsters have hearts too, you know? I believe my way of extermination is a path for monsters to redirect their ideals on treating humans as mere food into treating them as longtime comrades."

He stood there in awe after hearing her words, tainted with benignity to those different from her. Remnants of Mimi resided within the shrine maiden, and Kotaro felt a sense of comfort around her presence.

"You know... you have a cute smile," the shrine maiden complimented. "It's probably my first time ever seeing a boy smile like that. Why are you smiling?"

He hadn't realized the muscles in his cheeks stretching into a smile, but as soon as Riku noticed it, the young man kept his eyes away with hint of scarlet overflowing in his face. "Me smiling? I wasn't smiling."

Sudden giggle came from the shrine maiden, and Kotaro tracked his vision back to her. "Kotaro, you don't have to lie. It's okay to be honest to yourself and the people you'll meet."

"I'll remember that."

"Good! It should start right about now!"

Kotaro began shivering in mere seconds, and he noticed his legs including Riku's had been covered from a dense cloud. "Where did this fog come from?" Ghostly breaths echoed across the shrine, and the young outsider spotted a shadowy figure coming behind Riku. "Behind you, Riku!"

Standing up to six feet, the figure spread its large arms before targeting the clueless shrine maiden.

"Oh, you're here first!"

"Huh?"

The fog immediately depleted, and the figure was revealed. Shackled with cog-shaped metals, birthed with a long chestnut horn on his forehead much like a unicorn, the sleeveless creature wrapped his arms around the shrine maiden close to his clutches.

"Oh, Riku, didja solve the incident? I'm so happy."

"I didn't destroy the generator," Riku replied. The man removed his grasp, and he also gave her some space. Her finger pointed forward, and Kotaro gasped. "As you can see, this man is no human--merely takes the appearance of one, but his horns obviously blows off the disguise. Kotaro, I want you to meet Fuuko."

Oni, creatures that dwelled in the underworld, reeking in alcohol and punishing the dead for their bad deeds, these supernatural were mainly known for their immense strength--a feature that no humans dared to challenge unless fully prepared.

He stomped loudly upon every step, his shadow overpowered the outsider's puny height, and he reached his right arm outward to the new face. "Good evening, my name's Fuuko Onihara, one of the Royal Foundations of Strength!"

"I-I'm Kotaro Nishiki. It's a pleasure to meet you," his hand trembled as it came closer to Fuuko's. He couldn't lay a single look on the oni's face, only capable of staring at those large shackled hands. Eventually, they shook--but Kotaro felt an immense strength from the oni shaking the living bones in him. He's so strong that he can kill me if he wanted.

"Hmm? Riku, is he sick? He's not looking at me," wondered Fuuko.

He noticed, thought Kotaro. His heart skipped a beat.

"He's just shy. It's his first time to see a friendly yokai,"

"Oh, I get it! He got attacked by a bad yokai." His large arms were slapped into Kotaro's arms, and the oni picked up until he gained a clear look into the human's eyes. "There are bad people out there, just like humans and yokai! If you ever need help, you can count on me!"

"Drop me down please!"

The friendly oni fulfilled his request, dropping the human who fell on his bottom. "Woah there, I'm sorry about that!"

The young outsider recovered. "I-It's alright..." Facing front with a horned monster, he kept himself a safe distance from Fuuko.

Observing the timid man, Riku smacked the oni with a stick. "It's okay, Kotaro. He means no harm." She lent a hand to him, and he accepted it. "Tell me, what do you study?"

"Study?"

"Yes, Joe tells me that outsiders are always studying a variety of the world. You being an outsider must be studying something about the world too, right?"

"I like collecting stuff and reading."

"Reading? What do you like to read? I have plenty of newspaper from Beak always brings me! I bet you would like those!"

"I heard my name!"

Instantly, the young outsider startled from the sudden voice seemingly coming out of nowhere. His head shook from left and right in search of the voice he hadn't recognized.

"What's this? Has Riku found the love of her life? With an outsider?" giggled the man. Kotaro turned around to meet a winged man, and he fell to the ground. "Nice to meet you, outsider. My name is Beak Speedwing, the news of Densetsu! I take it that you are new here?"

Riku smacked his head too. "Stop it, Beak. You're making him feel uncomfortable," she picked him up, and he quickly hid behind the shrine maiden.

"Aw, here I thought I was doing better than that oni," Beak frowned.

"Is that a challenge, crow?" The oni approached the winged man, but Beak hardly flinched.

"What is he?" wondered Kotaro.

"Beak's a tengu. A man with avian features."

Both yokai approached Kotaro with a smile, yet the outsider remained in his shell. Riku, being treated as a protective mother, threatened the two yokai with her purification rod, and they stayed at a distant. "Everything is going to be alright, Kotaro."

"I-I know. It's just fascinating..."

"Fascinating?"

"I love reading adventurous stories, and in the story, the hero always comes across new people. It's like I'm the hero of my own story."

"A hero needs to be brave. Bravery comes from the fear of losing a loved one, and the connections of a loved one is what drives a hero to move forward," replied Riku. "You've heard of a vampire, correct?"

"There's vampires in this world?"

"Why don't you go meet her? I'll send Noel to escort you."

"Woah there, let me handle it," blurted Beak. "That vampire is a blood-sucking monster. A human like him would be food for that vampire."

"No, I'll take him to the vampire. The vampire is very strong, so it's best to have my strength to combat her!" responded Fuuko, punching his own hand.

"Just seeing your reaction is making me nervous. I think I'm having second thoughts about this!" said Kotaro.

"That's because the vampires are extremely vicious," Noel noted, sneaking behind Kotaro which spooked him. "Are you seriously sending me with him to see the vampire?"

"I think it'll be a great opportunity for Kotaro to see her. I believe her powers alone will be enough to help boost his confidence." He observed Riku who hardly showed any emotion.

Noel stared briefly at the shrine maiden before coming to a conclusion. "Come on, let's go..." She grasped his wrist as they descended from the mountain stairs. A journey freed from a repeating cycle of life and death had carved a new path which enabled a room of discovering. This path left Kotaro anxious yet curious.

Densetsu: the world which exists quietly beside ours, separated by a mystical border. A utopia where humans and other beings--such as fairies, monsters, and even gods live peacefully together. Up in the high mountains, there lives a shrine maiden who guards the border of Densetsu, and the shrine becomes filled with residents from all over Densetsu. She is known as the "Kamiyama Shrine Maiden", feared by many monsters but beloved by the humans. 

Kotaro Nishiki, a senior at Islander High School, discovers a fork in the road and ends up in Densetsu. In this world, he meets many friends who aren't human and gets himself involved with the many problems in Densetsu. The first incident he must solve is the infamous Infinite Loop incident, an episode of the day that constantly repeats itself due to Kotaro's death. His journey is only starting, further unlocking the secrets that lie within the world of the Legends, Densetsu. What awaits in his journey, and how will he stop this Infinite Loop that'll prevent his upcoming death? The path he walks will lead him to the missing answers that lie beyond this journey...

Ves completely forgot about the Festive Cloud Generator. The QuickForge system he used in Leemar didn't include the decorative component in its catalog. Even if it did, he didn't want to waste any time trying to incorporate a component with next to zero combat application.

"Even if it's useless, it still looks cool."

Local mech culture out here in the rim frowned upon a lack of professionalism. Mechs were vital weapons of war and their exterior should reflect their bloody purpose. That was why Vincent Ricklin's codpiece-sporting mech had been so widely derided.

Somehow, his frequent use of the Festive Cloud Generator got a pass. In most mockups, his mechs were usually displayed with the generator turned off. This made his mechs appear more sober than they actually were.

Only when a pilot bought the mech did they realize their mech emitted colored smoke from various parts of their mechs. Since the smoke only made them look cooler, hardly anyone complained.

Before he incorporated the generator, Ves first had to define his mech. An imaginary character called the Instructor acted as his inspiration. He thought about bestowing his variant with the same name.

"No, that won't work." He shook his head. "It not only sounds boring, it will give my customers the mistaken impression that it is a mech meant to be piloted by teachers instead of students."

How could he come up with a name that reflected the Instructor's values while making his mech attractive to the young?

The Instructor fed the flames of passion in his youth, using it to accomplish many feats. Though age has tempered the fire, it continued to kindle, ready to flare up when called to battle. The man was old in temperament but young in heart.

"Young Blood."

The name came out of nowhere, but it described the Instructor's drive. Even after achieving immortality, he never stopped advancing his swordsmanship.

Besides conforming nicely with his mental image, the name should also appeal to the target segment. As a business owner, Ves knew the importance of a good name. Great marketing began with an attractive product.

Many potential customers might only ever encounter his products when they stumble upon their names. Having a great name made it a little more likely that they clicked on it in order to learn more. From there, Ves could employ many other methods in order to increase his sales.

By mentioning blood, Ves was obliged to incorporate its color to his mech. He did it in an understated way by coating the Young Blood in a plain metallic color which was traditional to knights. He merely sneaked in a subtle reflective sheen in red.

In order to break up the monotonous appearance, Ves added golden decorative streaks around the torso. He was careful not to overdo it. The only part he spent more effort on was the variant's large, round shield. He painted a stylized lotus flower in yellow onto its surface.

Why a lotus? Ves imagined the Instructor loved to watch over the lotus flowers in the imperial palace's gardens. The flower stood for serenity, which might be a strange thing to include onto a shield meant to bash enemy mechs. Ves merely wanted to add something that looked good. The meaning wasn't important.

With this addition, Ves picked two different locations to include a Festive Cloud Generator. He attached a small-sized module to the shield. After rearranging its rim, Ves programmed the shield to emit a large quantity of yellow smoke whenever the Young Blood enhanced its shield bash.

By limiting the emission to the moment of impact, Ves was able to drastically reduce the size of the additional module. He did not want to go through another round of testing and simulation in order to properly integrate the generator.

He also installed a pair of cloud generators in the legs. Just like the shield, the generators only activated when the mech was about to perform a burst dash. He dyed the smoke in red this time in order to give his mech an impressive streak from behind.

After finishing the aesthetics of his design, Ves finally put down all of his work. "It's time to face the piper. Go ahead, System. Hit me with your report."

Overall evaluation: The Young Blood is an affordable variant that retains much of its durability while benefiting from increased flexibility. A comprehensive rework of all of its systems has raised many of its parameters. A largely coherent thread of X-Factor suffuses the entire design. This is all the more impressive when the inspiration to the X-Factor consists of a single mech designer's idle fantasy.

"Yes!" Ves rose from his chair. "I succeeded! My X-Factor has reached a score of C!"

Though it fell short of the C+ that Ves had reached with the Marc Antony and the Unicorn, those mechs came about in very special circumstances. It wasn't easy for Ves to feel all fired up. He was content with finding the way to reach the range of Cs when working on routine designs.

The relatively high score also validated his assumption that the X-Factor was not limited to physical constraints. At least, up to this point. Ves still consciously limited his imagination to myths that were larger than men, but less than gods.

"I don't want to find out what will happen if I take the old Christian God as my inspiration. I really don't want to open that particular can of worms."

Ves also achieved a twenty percent performance improvement without making use of expensive gadgets. He only brought in a ready-made sword to replace the spear. This was an incredible milestone, and one that Ves expected to surpass in the future.

The 600 DP reward came at a very nice time. The three weeks of slogging and maintaining his focus handsomely paid off. Ves only lamented that he was only a couple of DP short of reaching 2000 DP.

"Come on System, don't be such a tease. I deserve a treat!"

[Two-thirds of your design's improvements is attributed to updating an outdated mech with modern techniques. The performance increase that can be traced to your own original solutions is significantly smaller. Remember, you must study hard, but the only way to reach the pinnacle is to walk your own road.]

He bent over his head in defeat. The System was heartless as ever. "It's true that I copied and pasted from many other sources. I shouldn't be too proud with my design."

After regaining some of his mood, he logged into Iron Spirit. Ves imported the design to Iron Spirit and started fabricating a copy in the game's virtual workshop. Due to his extensive familiarity with his own design, Ves had no trouble with building up the virtual mech, even while maintaining his concentration.

He imagined bringing an incarnation of the Instructor to life. "How will he react to coming into life in a virtual game simulation? Will he be happy to experience new things? Will be be sad that he will give up control over his own body? Perhaps he might find joy in guiding the young and eager pilots who enter his cockpit."

Unlike his previous inspirations, the Instructor was his sole creation. He became invested in its myth to the point of treating it like a living person.

For a time, the line between reality and fantasy seemed blurred.

Only when Ves finally finished the fabrication process did he wake from his fugue. "That's a little weird. What was I thinking?"

He spent less time fabricating the mech than he thought. It only took a full day instead of the two days he originally budgeted. Despite the expedited process, the game did not detect any faults when Ves finalized its build.

He didn't forget to add a gold label inside the cockpit before he did so. He configured the design settings so that it would turn into silver when he let Iron Spirit sell a duplicated copy of the variant. Ves did not want the gold label to proliferate too much.

Ves entered the market interface and set the prices to both the gold label and silver label mechs. Different from last time, he did not use the minimum possible floor price but instead added a small profit margin to both products.

It didn't matter to the gold label because only one existed, but it represented a fairly different positioning to the silver label mechs.

Basically, Ves thought his Young Blood was good enough to deserve such a price. It also made more sense to charge this much. If he continued to hold on to bargain bin pricing, then his customers would subconsciously assume his mechs only performed as good as all the other trash mechs in this price segment.

He still wanted to earn as much DP as possible. That hadn't changed at all. Ves merely followed good business sense by managing the perception of his products.

Just as he was about to release his variant to the virtual market, he paused.

"This isn't a casual product. This is my first public design since coming back from Leemar. There should be some fanfare involved with the debut of this design."

Ves turned away from the market interface and instead pulled up his comm. He placed a call to his mech broker.

"Ves?" Marcella yawned as she looked up from her digital paperwork. "Have you finished the rework?"

"No, I haven't started yet on updating the Marc Antony. I'm calling you because I want your help in publicizing my latest virtual design."

Ves sent over the Young Blood's spec sheet along with some other data. He briefly explained why he spent time on a virtual design to begin with. Of course, he only limited his reasons to familiarizing himself with the knight archetype and to follow the current market trend for practice mechs.

Marcella did not need to know about his need to earn Design Points.

"I see. While it isn't conventional, I can see how we can spin it in a positive direction. However, you should be aware that marketing your variant comes at a significant cost."

You don't have the specs to attract a lot of customers outside the Republic. The only thing you have going for is sympathy for local entrepreneurs."

"How much?" Ves repeated, feeling a bit uneasy with the way Marcella prefaced her explanation.

"The short answer? Around twenty million credits for a week-long exposure campaign in Bentheim. Anything less will only get drowned by the bulk of other messages floating constantly in the air."

One week just to push out the name of his variant? "No. Can't you offer anything cheaper?"

"Well, you can also make use of Iron Spirit's internal advertising channels. Again, if you want to penetrate past the noise, you will need to put up a significant upfront investment, say five million credits a day."

No wonder Ves achieved nothing the last time he used the game's internal advertising function. He might as well be throwing money into an ocean.

"Ahem, if you aren't aware, my earnings won't be very much even if I sell thousands of virtual mechs." Ves patiently explained. "To say nothing of earning useless ingame gold currency. I don't see any reason why I should spend millions of credits on some overblown ads that will only last a week at most."

Marcella shrugged, as if she didn't care. "Advertising works a lot better than you think, but I can understand your reluctance. Considering your current finances, it's better if you hold off on any mass marketing."

"Do you have a more affordable alternative? I only need to put the word out for my design. It doesn't need to be anything fancy."

The mech broker paused for a bit. Her eyes brightened as she found a good solution. "I got it! You're a newsworthy mech designer, you know that? Do you know what that means? The news sites want to interview you!"

Ves hadn't thought of that at all. She had a point. As one of the three extremely rare winners of the Leemar Open Competition, the Republic should be curious about his story.

"Alright, that's a good idea, and also costs nothing on my end. I don't know the best news organizations, so can you arrange a couple of interviews on my behalf?"

"I can do that easily, but it's best you only pick one venue to do your interview. These news sites are rather attached to exclusivity. It's the only way they can one-up the competition. In exchange, the news sites will push the interview to a more prominent place on their pages and broadcasts."

Since Ves had no clue how the news industry worked, he followed her recommendation. She had never steered him wrong so far. "Alright Marcella. Let's go with an exclusive if you think that's best. Right now, I mainly want to establish my brand."

"I'll go make some calls and come back to you within a day. Goodbye!"

Ves Larkinson lacked the genetic aptitude to become a famed mech pilot. Fighting against his fate, he studied mech design in order to express his love for mechs as a builder instead of a soldier.

When Ves graduated from college, he returned to a new but empty boutique. Left with a small, newly founded mech workshop that his father painstakingly built with a mountain of debt, Ves somehow needs to make ends meet with the bank breathing down his neck.
