She walked in and was greeted by the well trained butler. "Miss this way." He urged in a sophisticated manner. She is led into the lavish living room where she takes a seat on the surprisingly uncomfortable sofa. "Mistress will be here in a short whi-" "And IIIYIIIIY WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOUOOHOOO IIIYAAAI-" "Mistress unless you'll rather have me go over the etiquette book Again?"
"Wait the Whole book."
The Reginald corrected his glasses as he answered "Word for word."
"So Erica darling what brings you to my humble dwelling." Katraya says in a British accent.
"First of all creepy. Second I just wanted to..."
"Sush. Dear don't ruin my mood by talking those fleas you called family."
"But I-"
"Sh just go get a nice soak freshen up and go to bed you've had a long day."
"But-"
"Don't but me, Reginald dear please take her to her quarters" 
Before Erica could respond she was already ascending the stair case.

Once Erica was gone Katraya resumed a serious expression. 
She then held up a wrist watch. She brush The screen which had an apple watch design.
A holographic screen occurred. "I want that company in shambles" She said in a chilling composed voice. 


In the bathroom Erica soaked in the warm bubble bath. She sat the as tears began to fall as she remembered after her father and grandmother died. She was driving back home after the reading of the will when her breaks failed. Luckily she narrowly escaped with her life. She was hospitalized for three full two and half of which she was unconscious. The three people she put her trust went to the hospital two days after she regained consciousness while Katraya stayed by her side for all the three months.   

After she was discharged from the hospital she went back home with Katraya only for the three vipers to poison her mind against Katraya and....like the fool she fell hook, line and sinker for their plot and blamed Katraya, instead of losing her mind she smiled and left without saying a word.

Even with all that Katraya still considered her a friend. Tears of regret run down her face and it wasn't because of her whip wounds she looked at the blood that was washed of from her wounds. 

Out of no where memories of her son start passing through her mind more tears flow down her cheek as she sobbed, "Ace." She said between sobs. Ace was her son's nickname.

"Need a barrel? cause judging from the look of things that bathtub is not enough to handle all you tears."

"It's my fault *sob* This is all my fault."
"No darling it not you fault. It's your stupidity's fault" Katraya resumed her British accent.
She received a nudge from Erica as she giggled. Well if your done being la Llorona get out of the tub before you prepare #colorless soup.

Those were her last words before she left the bathroom. Erica dried her tears then tried to to stand she managed to land her feet on the floor when *CRASH* she fell hard on the marble floor. 

"Hey Thor, don't smash."  Katraya yelled from the bedroom.
"Hehe." Erica giggled as she tried to stand up."Ugh."
"You really know how to give people a hard." She lifted her from the ground with ease as she to her to the bed room then places her on the bed. "Only you want to cause more trouble wearing that that  towel here wear this." She tossed a pair of barbie pajamas at her. Erica raised an eye brow as her gaze shifted from Katraya to the pajamas and back again.
Katraya pouted as she defended her self. "Don't judge me."

After Erica changed into the childish PJ's Katraya handed her one of the mic as she put on the house's sound system. Erica look at her with hesitant eyes.
"Don't worry I made so we can only hear it in this room. Now lets wipe that depressed face of." She had a secret mischievous smile as she said these words.

Mars grabbed Max's hand and shock it with a smile on his face

Mars gave a nod and walked into the class room and looked around and saw the twins and Karen sitting on their usual places, but there was also Chloe sitting at a seat a little away from the others and a unknown student that also wore a red mantel, she had short yellow hair and a pair of yellow eyes that seemed to be glowing slightly, Mars also saw Victoria that had taken her usual spot on top of his desk and was sleeping. Mars walked over and took his seat after waving at Karen and the twins
"okay then let's resume the lesson about mana, mana as I'm sure you all know is the power behind all magic spells and formations furthermore---"
Mars listened to the lesson for about 10 minutes until there was a knock on the door and the teacher form before followed by Varvei, the teacher and Max exchanged a few words before the teacher walked out of the class room leaving Varvei behind
"okay we have a new classmate here, go ahead and introduce yourself"

Mars reached out his hand with a wry smile on his face, Joy's eyes sparkled as she quickly shook Mars' hand with a strange vigor until Varvei walked up poked Mars on the shoulder
"should we go?"
Mars turned and saw Chloe also looked at him expectantly
"yeah let's.... see you Karen, nice to meet you again Joy"
Mars left the class room with a flower on each hand and Victoria following after him and the rest of the day did Mars' spend along with his 3 admires telling stories about what had happened during the trip but mostly he spend the time flirting with the three of them until night came and he returned back to his room and threw himself on the bed with a happy smile on his face

late at night a pair of fluffy black ears twitched as they focused on the sounds around them, then they turned to the person sleeping on the bed in the small dorm room
'he's sleeping... but I want to play...'
she gave a light snort out from her nose to show her displeasure with Mars that was currently in dreamland before she turned to the window that was slightly open

Victoria decide to go out and play by herself and focused soon her horns glowed slightly before the outline of her body turned blurry and she turned into a shadow that slipped out the window and down the wall before she rematerialized on the ground and looked around for something to play with and soon spotted some dried leaves on the ground that moved slightly in the wind

Victoria's pupils widened and turned round as she crouched down and started to mentally calculate the distance to her target before he hind legs exploded with power and she leaped into the air, after gliding through the air for a second did she land again with her front paws firmly around her pray that crumbled as she tore it apart with her paws

Victoria looked around again as her fluffy ears twitched searching for any sounds in the quiet night and soon the sound of metal grinding against metal entered her ears
'over there?'
having found something new and interesting she released the dried leaves from her paws and begun running in the direction of the sound and soon she reached the outer fence of the academy where a group of masked men was scaling the fence, Victoria hid in some brushes with her ears standing at attention as she looked at the group soon their whispers entered her ears
"is he really here?"
"yeah the latest intel from the academy says he arrived early this morning"
one of the men that had passed the fence licked his lips and gave a smile under his mask
"100.000 cell for the head of one person... the empire sure is generous"
soon the rest of the group finished scaling the fence and the group begun moving further into the academy, but a set of paws starked them in the dark
'they look like bad people... Mars said I could kill bad people... this seems like fun pray'
Victoria ran up to and hid in an other brush before her horns flashed slightly and a shadow clone that was formed out of the surrounding darkness appeared before it moved ahead of the group and sat down and waited soon the group of masked men discovered the shadow clone, one of them fired a crossbow at the clone, the bolt strock true and made the shadow clone tune back into shadows
"what was that?"

one of the bigger intruders shushed the others before he whispered
"it doesn't matter what it was, be alert!"
the group moved forwards again while Victoria watched them from a nearby roof
'they seem mean.... let's thin their numbers first...'
the group continued forwards until the leader signaled for them to stop and turned around

"err..? they were right behind me?"

the leader felt a chill down his spine and quickly drew out his sword, the blade glinted in the moonlight

"Doris what is it again this morning, so it's because of a dream you woke me up this morning, why won't you dream a bad dream about me when you don't wish me well,tell me" adder Betty. "look sister Betty please am not here for quarrels, let's us pray, we need to pray against this before it's too late" replied Doris. Betty retorted " To hell with your dream and prayer,please don't disturb me again because of this nonsense, I won't warn you again, stop looking for my trouble ooh" she said and immediately turned her back to continue her sleep. Doris looked at her as someone who doesn't know anything, as she added"may god have mercy on you sister Doris, I have delivered my message to you"she said and left. Betty ignored her and continued with her sleep.
  The following morning, Linda said "that reminds me Betty I overheard your conversation with Doris yesterday night,but I was so tired and still feeling very sleepy that was why I couldn't wake, what was the conversation all about?". Betty looked at her saying" is  your sister Mary that woke me up very early, in the middle of the night only to tell me that she had a bad dream about me,you can imagine but trust me now I gave her the piece of my mind ". " no now Betty you shouldn't have,if she had a bad dream all you have to do was to pray with her and cancel it immediately " added Linda. Betty smiled and said "is like you don't know this kind of girls and what they can easily do,why won't she have a bad dream when she don't wish me well,look let me tell you I don't believe in dreams at all" she said shaking her head. Doris said "I know you wouldn't see anything wrong in what you are doing, anyways let me tell you about the dream, we were in a place like a burial ground or something, putting on all black Cloth, crying,in front of us was a coffin about to be buried, beside the coffin was Betty's portrait or picture, and you know what that means,she  died in the dream" she added with a low voice. Linda immediately said"god forbid nothing will happen to my friend, I haven't still recovered from Rita's death and now Betty, no no it won't happen " she said. Doris smiled " I know but is not in our hands to forbid, is God's hand,that is why I want us to pray against any untimely death in her head but you know her she won't agree". Linda said scared "don't worry I will talk to her" she said and left still scared.
   The following day Linda and Betty were together in the room reading a novel, Linda broke the silence "Doris told me the dream". " Betty there are things we don't need to take lightly or as a joke, she had a dream you died and we all came for your burial". Immediately Betty started laughing "I said it,there won't be anything good from the dream,I keep on telling you that girl doesn't wish me well, you see,it has now come to the extent of her wishing me dead,please go and tell her, that her dream will never work,Linda are you sure that girl is not a devil in disguise" . Linda said"shut up Betty, shut up,she had a bad dream about you all you need to do is to pray against it,that is all,and not to counter it". Betty looked at her and said angrily "am not praying with her, she can go ahead and dream all the bad dream in this world ,I don't care,in fact am going to warn her for the last time". Linda ignored her and walked pass her sighing.
     Three days later,Betty came back from lectures and met only Doris in the room she walked to her bed and said" Joseph the dreamer,let me warn you for the last time, don't you ever dream on my head again, if you want to me dead why not come out and say it in my face, rather using dream to cover up your evil mind, see don't you ever in this your miserable life try this nonsense again " she said angrily. Doris looked at her  "look Betty I have better things doing with my life,than wishing other people dead" she said and laid down..

Linda lived a reckless life in school which led her to have a life full of regrets and agony,which made her to learn her lessons and doesn't want her daughter to follow her in her destructive ways as she tells her daughter the story of her life

Mark praised her, "She is amazing, isn't she?"
Antonio smiled as well. "She is our kid, after all."
Ru Xin didn't notice that Antonio said the word 'kid'. He asked anxiously, "How is she doing?"
Mark replied, "She is resting. It's better not to bother her."
"Can't we look at the babies?" Shintaro tried to peep inside.
Mark shook his head. "Not now. Let us clean the room first, then you can visit the mother and the children." Afterward, he looked at Antonio and told him, "Bring some comfortable clothes for missy to wear."
"I'm on it." Antonio left. He soon took out two cotton maxis.
Mark took the clothes inside. Carlo pull the curtains around the bed so that Mu Liang could clean her body and put clothes on her.
Meanwhile, Pedro commented, "She bled too much. Osiris, you can give me two packs of blood, right?"
"Yes, I can." Osiris started to roll up his sleeves.
Mu Liang looked out of the curtains and said, "I can give my blood."
Seeing his pale expression, Pedro sighed. "Your blood won't do, boy. You clean her body first. Be careful when you move her body. She is still injured." The Cobra had special blood that was mixed with certain elixir. Mu Liang didn't. So, his blood wouldn't help her to gain strength quickly.
"…Yes, I know." Mu Liang looked at Mu Lan's exhausted face. He felt an ache in his heart.
Carlo prepared another bed for her. She was cleaned and was put on new clothing. Later, Mu Liang carefully carried her and put her down on the newly prepared bed. Meanwhile, Pedro took two packs of blood from Osiris and transferred it to Mu Lan's body after she was taken to the new bed. After that, he declared, "All done."
Everyone sighed in relief. They cleaned the fourth child and Carlo made him fall asleep. Four newborn boys were sleeping peacefully. Carlo looked at them and complained, "They look like hairless monkeys. So ugly!"
"Pft!" Mark chuckled. "They do have hair on their heads though."
Osiris' eyes were shining. He praised, "They look so adorable when they sleep. They resemble their father."
Carlo said, "Don't be so sure. When they will grow up, their faces will change. I hope they won't get their father's character." He scoffed.
Mark chuckled. "You are asking for the impossible."
"But I wished for one of them to be a girl." Osiris sighed. Then, he turned around and left. Before leaving he said, "I'm going to pray to God and thank Him for such wonderful gifts."
Mark commented, "Is he going to pray or sleep? Though he looks okay to me even after losing two packs of blood."
"If you were as lazy as him, you would look alright too," Carlo said. "Then again, we are special. Seeing the lazy dude like him, I suddenly want to know how good he is in action. I've never seen him fight."
"Me neither," Mark admitted.
Pedro cleaned himself and said, "Everything went well." He looked at Mark, "Tell Antonio or Shin to prepare cots for the babies. I already brought enough materials. They are in the storage room. Tell them to use it."
Mark nodded and left. Carlo asked, "Shouldn't we take these hairless monkeys out?" He pointed at the kids.
"First we need to mark them before they are handled by others or we won't be able to recognize who is who." Pedro opened a drawer and took a permanent marker. He was prepared it when he saw the ultrasonography result for the first time. He opened the lid of the marker and then wrote numbers in the kids' towels.
"Good idea." Carlo asked, "How about giving her some medicine before feeding her children? It will good for them."
Pedro told Carlo, "When she wakes up, first, I'll make medicine for her and then she will feed her kids. Let the kids sleep for now or they will cry for food."
Carlo nodded. "Alright, let's go." He gave another look at the couple and then left. Pedro cleaned the whole room and then left as well. He didn't forget to close the door.
After they left, Mu Liang stroke Mu Lan's cool cheeks. He kissed her forehead and whispered, "I'm sorry for making you go through this. If I knew you would be hurt like this…" He didn't continue. He put his head in the crook of her neck and stayed like that for a long time.
Hours later, Pedro and Carlo came to check. They found Mu Liang in the exact same position. When Mu Liang heard some noise, His eyes were red. He looked up. "What is it?" He asked in a hoarse voice.
Pedro silently went sat down on a chair and began to prepare a medicine. Carlo answered, "Get up. We need to wake her up. It's time to feed the children."
Mu Liang looked at the unconscious Mu Lan and asked, "Can't she sleep a little longer?"
Carlo replied, "After she eats her meal and feeds the children she can sleep. She has nothing to do except these two things."
Mu Liang tried to say, "But she is hurt-"
"She isn't as weak as you think she is. She was in even worse pain than you saw today. Also, being a mother isn't the easiest job in the world. Since she was able to go through all that, have a little faith in her."
"I have faith in her." Mu Liang said. He wanted to say more but controlled himself knowing arguing with Carlo wouldn't lessen her pain.
Carlo used telepathy to wake her up. Mu Lan slowly opened her eyes. She felt as if someone dragged her inside a black pit and she was falling and kept falling. She felt her body seemed lighter than a feather. Her eyelids felt heavy. Her eyes first landed on Carlo. She opened her mouth and slowly said, "Carl, have you died as well? How come? Are we in hell? We can't be in the heave, right?"

Adhiti

 I was about to leave to the Academy to save my twin sibling. But an owl flew and turns into a mare. I was surprised to see Artemis. My mare. I hug her and she wrapped her neck on me and I listen to her message from Althea. Althea was with my twin siblings they are safe for now. 

"Thank you, Artemis." I whisper and kisses her nuzzle. I had learn from Artemis that Althea was an apprentice of the God of SKy that was also called Thunder, Lightning and Rain. I smiled and turn back to my husband. He is ready to welcome the new people of Era. 

 I walk toward her and wrapped my arm around him. I inhale his mint scent as I felt his warm arms around me and his sweet kiss on top of my head. 

"Love, can we go together to meet them?" 

"Yes, my handsome King." He giggle and push me a little and scoop my cheek to kiss my lips. But someone stop him from kissing me, it's Andrew smack him from his back and put his arms around him. I frown at Andrew. 

"So, are we going or are you guys going to do that kissy-kissy thing again?" 

"We are going now." Nicholas said aloud as a command and he kiss my lips. "I love you, however we are still going to welcome our new people." 

"I know." 

 Luther came and landed in front of us. He bow at us and I smiled at him. Since Fire wasn't with me, there's no fluttering happens or lovey dovy feeling. I and Nick rode on our horses, I prefer riding on horses than on carriage. The wind passes to us as we make the horse run not too fast not too slow. The knights of the Era are around helping the children and the women on few of things. 

 The people bow at us and I nodded. Nick get down from his horse and I twist my body and hop down as he caught me. Luther stood next to me as we walk closer to the said King of their little tribe. Nick and I walk toward him and he bow to us. 

"King Nicholas and Queen Adhiti of Era." The Commander announced and my King told him not to say anything else besides of that. No other things and all. 

"Your Majesties." He bow at us. Nick bow to him as well and I curtsied. 

"Lord Yuri." I smiled. He offer his hand and I took it as he kisses my knuckles. 

"My Goddess, I always know that you will come to us." 

"Thank you for waiting." I took my hand and hold my husband's.

"Everyone are gathered here to help the new people of Era to build their houses. I swore an oath to my Goddess, my love, that I will protect those people who need protection, and those who wanted to find light again." Nicholas told him very politely and a little bit of kingly like. 

"Thank you, your Majesty. I wish to be on your council, if you don't mind. So I'll make sure that my people will have the same rights with your people and make sure that they are safe here in your Kingdom." 

"I wanted to make it clear to you, Lord Yuri that I seek no war and I don't want you to feel that I am using you to increase my knights. Your people are my people now. I gave the same safety, the same rights and the same thing I am giving to my people. When I become a King, though I don't wanted to, it is because of my love who truly make me to be a better man before I am." 

"I hope that you are true to your words, King Nicholas." 

"And I hope that staying here will make you truly understand my motives. Shall we start the celebration?" 

 I could kiss my love right now. Good things keep happening yet bad things came along with good things. I look at Luther still worried about my brother and sister outsideworld. We rode to the castle and the feast had started. Luther was beside me walking as the horse that I am riding was walking as well. 

"Any progress my warrior?" 

"Your brother, Patrick had reached other tribes with your father Darius and with Lord Calixe." 

"I hope that they'll be safe there." 

"I'm sure that they will." He give me a piece of paper. "Hermes wrote for you." 

 Once that they reach the castle, I left to pavilion with Luther as I open the letter from Hermes, the grandfather of my brothers and my foster parent's father. 

Queen of Era, I would like to say thank you for all of the effort you are making. I would like to say thank you for making a Kingdom better. Our voyage back there will be delayed for a while. I had sent few of my people, so that I won't starve everyone. Please help them. We are waiting for others and I send few of my trusted men to help your father gather others before the great darkness is coming. Have an always safe travel for your search. 
Hermes. 

"Delayed?" I mutter. I exhales and look at Luther. "When the celebration is done, we could search deeper." 

"Yes, my Goddess." 


Althea

 I felt lighter than before. I felt like lots of things was being pulled from me. I recall everything that happened. Lancelot took away the darkness and kill it with his bare hand for me. I put on the clothing that was given to me by Guinevere. Their bathroom look familiar and unfamiliar to me. There's a round thing that is called shower where water comes out from it. Warm and cold, depend on the liking of the skin. 

 Everything seemed new to me but I somehow like it. I put the dress that Guinevere gave to me, there's no sleeve on it just a thin strap that hangs on my shoulders. I put on the denim jacket that has a hood and buttons as I go out with a comfortable closed shoes that they called. 

"Are we going to leave back to the Insideworld?" Lancelot ask sitting at the edge of the bed. 

"You can go back there." He let his back fall on the bed that seemed comfortable. Yet I don't want a bed. I stayed on the electric thing that blows a warm wind, that Guinevere said a heater. 

"I can't." I frown at him and took the warm drink that they provided us. 

"What's stopping you?" 

"The kiss that you promised me." He smiled boyishly at me. 

"I didn't promised anything." I have to deny that. I didn't promise anything but I just say that I'll give him one. Damn, this is making my hands sweat. I saw in my peripheral vision that he sat up and frown at me. 

"You say to me that you'll give me a kiss—"

"Did I say that I promise to do? I only said it to get those monsters out of this area." 

 He groan irritably complaining and roll on the bed. I exhales rolled my eyes and sipped on the chocolate drink that they gave to me. I got startled when I felt a fluffy thing hit me on the back. It wasn't painful. It felt just like a cloth that has been hit on me. 

 I glare at him and pick the round fluffy thing. It was like a small fluffy ball. I squeeze it and look at him sharply. I lifted it and throw it hard on him. It hit him on his chest and it bounce like it was nothing. He laugh at me childishly. Why is he doing this? Why does he sound so childish? 

"It is not funny, Lord Lancelot!" I scowl at him. He hands up and the door opens as a winged man enter. He's half naked and he tried to get in but his wings couldn't fit in. "You have to get in in sideways." I told him. He nodded and stepped back, getting in sideways. He furled and unfurled his wings and stretch his arms. 

"What are you doing here?" Lancelot asked. 

"I am here to get you guys down to the hall. The dinner is served." Something makes a loud noise, sounds like a violin. Lancelot look at the flat rectangular thing on the side table as the lights on it keep blinking. 

"What is that?" Lancelot asked. 

"That's called cell phone." Clarence the winged man took it and slip his thumb on it and put it on his ear. "Clarence," he nodded and look at me. "It's Guinevere, she's just checking if you had given the kiss that Lancelot deserve to have." Lancelot's face lightens and he make a sad smile at him. 

"She haven't given me. She's denying it all." Clarence look at me and I glower at him. 

"Babe, Althea is denying it. What should I do?... Oh, locked them in here? Until Althea had given her promised? Babe, that's really sweet of you. What if they get starve here?" that's really, really not a good thing to do. I stood taking my bow and arrow as I walk toward the door. But Clarence stepped on the way to the door and unfurled his wings. "Guinevere said that it's not good to deny the promise you make. On their House, they never broke any promises, even you are a slave, a bastard or a simpleton." 

 I exhales. He's right. I look at Lancelot who look all innocent, like he was the victim. Clarence took something after he furled his wings. I walk toward Lancelot, stood in front of him and spread his arms. 

"I'll be going." Clarence left closing the door. 

"Aren't you going to kiss me?" 

"Move away from the bed." I walk toward the middle of the room away from bed. Afraid that if we fall, he might not get off from me. He did stood and fix the sweater that Clarence gave to him. He caress my hair. 

"Let's not do this. I wanted you to kiss me in the way that you won't regret that moment. It feels like you've been pressured because of what Clarence told you." 

"So you don't want it?" 

"I want it. Maybe later when you are not pressured. Just let me now." He walk toward the door and open it. He cock his head. "Leave your bow and arrows. No one is going to hurt us here." I did left it on the corner. I leave my knife brace that is wrapped on thigh. 

 I walk outside and he followed me. Carmina, the girl that seemed like Lancelot a lot walk with us and greet us. I only nodded and walk as they talk. She talk flirtatiously to him. I ignore them as Carmina lead us to the dining hall. There are lot of students murmuring talking silently. 

 Almost all of them look at our way. The table has full of foods and Lancelot pulls a chair and Carmina sat down. I pull a chair for myself that is next to Davin and sat down. 

"Thank you, Lancelot." Carmina even flashes her eyelashes on him. 

"Alright," Gibson mutter. "Now let's pray silently on our own. Use your own religious or whatnot." 

 I close my eyes and hold my hands as I pray silently about my thanks to the Gods and Goddesses. That they give me another life to live and to serve to them and to the people. I pray that my brother would always do what is right and keep loving his people. I pray that all the kings would do the same to fight darkness and show the people who are in darkness their light.

It started when Catastrophe led to a mysterious castle after she partially escape from the people who wanted to kill her. It was quite scary to see the usually bubbly and cheerful Mister Liu now serious and intimidating. Shen Xiaoling secretly stuck out her tongue and giggled, "It's so scary when grandpa is serious and strict!"
"Ha! Did I scare you? It's okay," Liu Huajun looked at the pair of siblings endearingly, "Even if I am strict at anyone, I would never be angry at my dear Xiaoling. Come, come, let's go steam some dumplings!" 
To steam dumplings, they had to leave them in the pot for fifteen minutes after the water started to boil. Soon, the dumplings were ready to be served. Out of habit, Hong Xiaofu and Shen Xiaoling prayed, "We are God's favorite children!"
Liu Huajun was amused. He asked, "Do you have to pray before your meal?"
"Of course," Seeing that Liu Huajun had not lifted his chopsticks, Shen Xiaoling did not dare eat. She continued explaining, "My brother said that we could grow up healthily and safely thanks to the grace of God. He had provided us with nutritious food and a safe place to grow up in!"

"Is Governor Zhao Qimin in his office?" Liu Huajun asked as he stood casually. He took out the certificate and handed it to the guard, saying, "If he is, bring me to him." 
Hearing Liu Huajun's authoritative tone, the guard immediately took the certificate and glanced at it. Then, the guard quickly snapped another salute, "Headman Liu, Governor Zhao is in his office, I will bring you to him immediately." The guard thought to himself that he was good, and the man in front of him was an important figure. Sure enough, a notable man would remain such. He couldn't afford to upset him.
Soon, a formally dressed woman in her mid-thirties hurriedly walked through the gates. When she saw Liu Huajun, she smiled, "Old Liu, you could have just dropped me a call, and I would have sent a car to pick you up."
"That's too troublesome," Liu Huajun said as he walked forward, "Xiao Li, is Zhao busy?"
The secretary, Xiao Li, was one of Governor Zhao's most capable officers. A Peking University postgraduate, she was also one of the most qualified people in the office. In front of Liu Huajun, however, she was a little girl. Holding onto Liu Huajun's arm, she said, "He was at a meeting just now. As there are more cases regarding the Awakeners recently, he is always busy with meetings. But, old Liu, even if you are in a hurry, you have to slow down. Governor Zhao has asked me to pick you up."
After the two entered the provincial government office, they took the lift and quickly reached the sixth floor. As they alighted, Liu Huajun saw a man in his fifties waiting there. As the governor, Zhao Qimin was naturally sharp. Hearing Liu Huajun's words, he frowned, "Liu, I may be wrong, but do you wish to be Awakened?"

But if you are giving your spot up to someone else…I cannot afford to do that… I'm afraid that the higher management would blame me for it—"
"Why can't you?" Liu Huajun's throat tightened, "Ask him to meet me! Let's see what he can do about it!"

I decided to patiently wait for Ash to awaken from what I assume to be a wonderful dream. His smile still plastered on his face the fool didn't even wake up when the woman pushed him off her belly and left. To my dismay, she looked quite satisfied. I suppose at least Ash has that going for him, he can pleasure old fat women.

The rest of the night was short and as soon as I thought about it the sun began to break through the horizon. Like a rooster at a farm, Ash woke with the coming sunrise.
"Good morning Ash. Did you have a nice night? I did." I could tell my smile creeped him out. Of course not before he almost fell off the bed after noticing I was sitting across the room.
"Ancestor? Your hair... Is brown?" Not the words I was expecting.
My hair?
I stood from the chair and walked over to the mirror.
He was right, my hair was no longer white but brown. I had a feeling about what had caused this change but why? Although it certainly wasn't a negative change. With brown hair, I could go about my days more inconspicuously.
But Ash's reaction was too peculiar. Even if he had drunk and taken whatever else fools take nowadays he still woke up in a strange bed with his zombie relative staring him down. If it were me the first thing I would notice wouldn't be someone's hair color.
"I think I know what caused it." I was almost certain that my meal the night before had something to do with it.
That day I learned why. Truly it was the true beginning of my journey with Ash and the day my unlife would change forever, my goals set. Quite significant really.
"Ash I know you've been hiding something from me since the day we met." I knew Ash could see my face through the mirror. I stared at him from the reflection, he would speak the truth today or die. How could I trust someone that couldn't be honest with me? During my life I have cheated, stolen, killed, and worse. I was no saint and being a liar was never something I particularly cared about. But now that I have died and been risen again for some reason I now hate liars, and I made sure Ash knew that.
"Don't lie to me Ash or the consequences are not something you and I want to deal with." 
Ash looked calm, he covered himself and began his story again. But first his usual charade.
"Well ancestor I don't mind telling you, I was going to once we reached Amberth anyway."
"Why Amberth?" Why wait?
"It's simple, I was afraid of how you would react. You can blame me this isn't something you just tell anyone. Also, you could have at least covered me up and before you ask, no we will never speak of this night again. EVER!" This was interesting, I have never seen Ash so serious before. Well, it wouldn't matter. If you read my diary you will know that I have in fact never 'spoken' of this night.
"Fine, let's start with how you brought me back then." I had returned to my seat and threw Ash back his clothes.
"Thank you, now let's begin. I didn't lie to you before when I said my robe belonged to a very powerful necromancer. But rather than over exaggerating it I may have slightly under exaggerated it." Ash took a deep breath and continued.
"Even you may know of him ancestor, although no one knows his name as far as I know everyone with at least some higher education in magic knows of him."
"Who?" During my 'life' i was incapable of using magic so I didn't just not have a higher education in magic I had no education in it.
"The Father of Necromancy." Ash was solemn as he spoke the words.
"He raised the first death knight, created the first litch, and even developed the method for some undead to hold their souls within our plane. Those are just a few of his accomplishments. In fact, that man was a monster some even believe he was a divine of sorts. Masters wrestle with a single magic spell their entire lives. It took the first fire mage in history his entire life to create the most basic spell 'Fire Ball'. But The Father of Necromancy literally created necromancy, and developed over a thousand spells for the school in a single lifetime!"
That did sound amazing, I didn't know much about magic but just from Ash's words I could tell that The Father of Necromancy was a genius beyond geniuses.
But then I thought, undead live forever, don't they?
As if he read my mind Ash brought me out of my ignorance.
"Before you think about him turning himself undead and living forever or something like that forget it. Some facts are known to us and one was that he was human and the other is he was mortal his entire life. But that's not the most amazing thing he did. What I'm about to speak of cannot be confirmed and is all just guesses and myths."
Ash had put on his clothes including the dirty robe. He really cherished that robe.
Ash then took a seat on the side of the bed and faced me.
"We are taught that there is a Divine for everything between heaven and hell. Have you ever wondered if there's one for the undead?"
"Why would the undead need a god? We don't pray, I think."
Ash put on a smug smile and continued.
"Does fire pray? Does the earth pray? Well maybe, but I doubt weapons do and there's a Divine for them! Well, we can argue about religion all day and get nowhere. The point is the myths tell us that The Father of Necromancy helped to create the god of undeath."
"That's impressive."
"That's it!? Yes! It's very impressive, he helped create a GOD!"
"Allegedly." As far as I was concerned, so what if he did? He's dead now and there's no proof there even is a god of undeath.
"Well yes allegedly, but there is proof."
"What's the proof?" They say curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. This was oddly accurate in my case. As I would later discover some saying are based on truth.
"You, ancestor! You are the proof. Inside this robe which belonged to The Father of Necromancy is a spell with clear instructions."

Find a champion of old, fallen and broken.

What a cryptic old man. Well, it wasn't very difficultly to discern his words either. Mothers womb as in the earth which is the very being of Mother Earth. Cage of time can only be death. And the rest is self-explanatory.
"So you used that spell to bring me back? How does that explain my brown hair and my desire to eat that fat man."
"So you did eat him?"
Right, I hadn't told him about that. I recounted the night's events with Ash in great detail. Unfortunately no matter how detailed It didn't seem to phase him at all.

I then left Ash to his thoughts for a while as I processed what he had told me.

"I think I know what happened. Well before we continue just so you're aware when I summoned you I was planning to raise you as the champion of the god of undeath. Now that we have that out of the way-"
"Stop." That was quite the bombshell I hadn't thought of.
"Does that mean the last part of that poem or whatever means that I am now the champion of a god?"
"Yes."
"I don't feel like a gods champion." then again maybe I did? What did I know?
"Well, how would you even know? Right moving on from that, I believe what attracted you to that man was a sin he carried. You said he had a ton of wealth with him? Our inn is the cheaper of the two in town."
"What's your point? Also, didn't you say we were staying at a nice inn?"
Ash lightly coughed and continued.
"What I mean is the gods all hate each other, this we know. I wouldn't be surprised if the god of undeath hates the god of greed? Or maybe all the different gods of sin? Which means you killing him and devouring his sin has made you stronger and your patron happier."
"What about the hair?"
"Maybe you'll become more human as you grow stronger? Who knows the only way to find out is to keep going and eat more sin. Greed or maybe all of them?"
Ash was fairly relaxed about the whole thing. Not only that, he just told me to go around killing people and eating their sin. 
This fool was definitely not normal.

I roll around to the other side of my bed and this time I wasn't being watched but there's a light tap on my skin. I roll around. "Clara what the fuck!". I groan with my eyes barely open. Almost pushing Clara with my legs. 

"You alright?". Clara asks and place her hand on my forehead with her other hand on her forehead. 

"What are you doing?" I say through gritted teeth and takes my phone that lays beside me after I fell asleep to check the time. "6:00 pm". I groan. 

"You've got no idea how you were making weird noise and at the same time rolling around your bed! were you fighting with one of your lovers or something?. 

"I'm fighting with your ass! Now get the hell off my bed! Before I swat your ass as I planned on doing". I laugh and grab the blanket beside me to cover my head with the intent of going back to sleep. 

"Hey! Come let's go to Tacha... She wants to talk now". Clara says and I quickly pull the blanket off my head. 

"Seriously?. I ask and she nods. We better hurry before she changes her mind. I groan and climbed off my bed while Clara followed behind. We walked down the hallway to Tacha's room. I pray she talks now if not I would be forced to open her mouth for her.

Wimpy--pity?, Assholes... Even Older dudes... But my type is bad boys, (Who doesn't like baddie? especially when you are one of em') which doesn't mean I keep em' as boyfriends or whatever... They are just [uhmm] fun mates?__[you know.] (ask how old I am? Eighteen? Nah m just Sixteen going on Seventeen should I say almost eighteen.. Oh).


 Regardless of this lifestyle, I managed to secure my pride during those awful years. [Awful?__yeah,] awfully fun, before it was all fun and pleasurable... (You know?)Being the most 'wanted' in all way round. But looking back at those years it was now awfully fun...

Call it madness, call it anything you like__but mind you, I'm soundly sane. Moving to this small Charlotte town has been a great "change" impact of my life. Normally once moved, I always continue on and it doesn't take me long to make new friends but this? The people here are totally different from those I hang out with back in London.


 But what happens when these same people become the ones to awaken my inner demon. I guess earth is filled with different kinds of species.

He felt like he was drowning. Clawing at his throat. Desperately trying to find air to breathe. His lungs buckled under his ribcage. It almost felt as if hands were wrapped around his pale throat. His body jerked as he tried to breathe.   

Then it ceased and there was nothing. Everything around him warp into a blur of colors. It moved so fast that his brain couldn't keep up.

He was somewhere familiar, in the hall of his fathers' throne room. Faced with the dark blue eyes of his father. Staring down at him with a fury. But there was something off. His father looked dead behind the eyes.

He was speaking to him but he didn't see his mouth move. So he moved in closer but as he walked towards it, his father got farther and farther away. It was as if he had never moved at all. As if he had moved backwards.

Then he was paralyzed, he tried to force himself to move. His body wouldn't obey what his brain wanted to do. Then there was a warmth that turned into an uncomfortable heat. Within a blink of an eye, everything set ablaze.

a burst of flame behind his father that quickly took him. The nauseating smell of burning flesh and hair. If he was paralyzed from both fear and whatever force was keeping him locked in his space he would have thrown up. 

All he could do was watch as his father screamed bloody murder. His screams lasted for an eternity. It echoed through the room like a song. He felt hot tears fall from his eyes as his father's gold throne and his flesh became intertwined... He could feel the fire getting hotter as it ate everything in its path. Burning the tapestry. Leaving black scorch marks of soot on the walls.

The fire began to spread from his father to him. Destroying any and everything in sight. 
It licked at his garbs. Crawling it's way up like a serpent until he was engulfed completed but he couldn't scream as it scorched his pale skin. It hurt like nothing he had ever felt before. It was worse than the sharpest of blades. 

Then there was nothing. There was nothing but darkness and silence. He felt so cold, he was so numb. He was aware that he was surrounded by nothing.

Then there was light and he jumped awake in his tubs. Splashing the once-hot water on the cold marble floor. His heart thundered behind his ribcage. He looked around the room as he touched himself to make sure he was really him. He pinched his self for extra measure. 

He hadn't had a nightmare in a long time. He didn't understand it. He made his way out of the tub in all his naked glory and sat down on an ottoman.

'It probably meant nothing.' He thought. It was just his imagination running wild. But he had this feeling of dread somewhere deep within his soul. Nothing else mattered more than his disturbing nightmare.

He dug around his chest of items in search of his pipe. He needed to hunger.  Whatever was in the tobacco always seemed to make everything go numb.

Mi-sun sat a bowl of rice porridge in front of her before sitting across from her. She was tired, but her hunger overrode any sense of tiredness she may have felt moments before. Mi-sun sat across from her watching her with calculating eyes.

She was too engrossed in her meal to even worry. She had never felt the pain of her stomach trying to eat itself. She hoped to never experience that kind of pain again.

They sat close to the small fireplace in the kitchen. It was the second-best place to be in the freezing winter. Hiyokuna had never been this cold to the point that sometimes she was afraid to go to bed at night. At least the king's chambers were always warm. The prince's chambers were also very warm and she could sleep in his bed.

She hadn't thought of him in nearly two days. For a split second, she thought of going to him in the dead of night just to sleep somewhere warm. Then she remembered the king's threats and any thoughts of going to him subsided. She now regretted giving away her thick blanket. 

She didn't have any way to talk to the prince although Batu still watched her from a distance. She could hopefully just ask for another one. 

She finally looked up from her food as she scraped the last bits she could. She looked up to her friend and smiled pushing the bowl to the center of the table.

"Are you ok?" Mi-Sun asked in her normal worried tone. She was sort of confused at first until she realized that she had been with the king for two days. Two days with little to no sleep and no food.

"Yes..." She trailed.

She knew what Mi-Sun would ask before the words left her lips.

"He didn't touch me. I slept on the floor and did a few tasks for him." She eased her friend worries and she instantly relaxed.

Sighing she shook her head and looked down at the empty bowl.

"I've been worried about you." Mi-Sun rubbed her shoulder subconsciously.

"I've been having nightmares and there's an outbreak of pigeon flu in the city." She looked over her face.

Pigeon flu was more deadly than yellow fever and from what she saw years ago just as painful. She could only pray and hope that it never made it inside the palace walls. She was more curious about her nightmares than the outbreak though. 

"What kind of nightmares?" She asked adjusting herself in her chair. Mi-Sun looked completely mortified by her question. She swallowed thickly and looked away too afraid to even look at her.

"Mi-Sun?" She tensed her shoulders as her half-smile fell into a frown.

"You died." She said quickly as she turned as white as a sheet. Turning away from her as her fingers clenched at the sides of her chair.

She had thought of dying before. She had been so close to it more times than normal. But something about the way Mi-Sun looked and the panic in her eyes made her afraid. Mi-Sun was as tough as a boar. She had killed her own father. But she knew Mi-Sun cared for her deeply like a sister.

There was also a stigma in Hiyokuna. That one should never speak the taunts of a nightmare unless the gods might make them real.

But curiosity was a strong thing and she needed to know. She licked her lips and took a breath before asking her question. She didn't think Mi-Sun could pale so much. She almost resembled a yurei. She shook her head back and forth and whispered the faintest of no's. So low and wobbly that it sent a cold chill down her spine.

"I can't!" Her eyes watered. She was persistent and held fast. Nothing bad would happen to her. It was just a dream. Although she would never test her gods and their powers. She desperately wanted to know what she saw in her dream.

"Please Mi-Sun. I would be better prepared if anything was to happen." She knew she shouldn't play mind games like these.

"You..." She paused and looked into the fire. "Someone put a dagger through your stomach on a bed of white jasmine Lillies." She covers her hands with her mouth and sobbed. She took a moment to take in what her friend had said. 

She had no enemies, she barely had friends. There was no one other than the king that would want her dead. If she stuck to herself and stayed away from the prince-

"I should have said anything!" Mi-Sun stood up causing her chair to fly backwards. "Izanami is going to punish me! She shouted and stepped away front her. 

"We need to go and pray Kazumi NOW!" She went to grab her pulling her from her seat in the direction to the nearest altar.

She tried to protest and assure her friend that everything would be ok. That she was in no immediate danger and that no harm would come of her. But she protested and insisted that they should pray together.

Once they made it to the altar located inside the servant quarter they both prayed. She prayed that her life wouldn't end so short. And that the three deities would protect and watch over her. That her life would have some kind of significance other than being a slave.

She even prayed for the Prince and his wife. That they could have a strong and healthy tot. Also for the prince to have a ruling filled with prosperity and ease.

She yearned the mother of creation would absolve her for breaking the most sacred of bonds. And that no ill would come of her or the prince.

"Lady Kazumi?" A voice called from behind. She knew that rough throaty voice from anywhere.
