"Miles to go before i sleep" is a story about the life of an athlete girl who wants to spend the last three month's of her remaining life to its fullest but God had other plans for her.....................

The king bowed down and quickly went to arrange for a room for Mars and 78, this stunned the maids and the maid 78 had a glaring match with suddenly lowered her gaze as she paled
"Hey Mars, can we take a look around?"
"Sure but first you have better change your appearance to that of a human"
"Why? I like these ears"
"Well... If you are not bothered by the stares then neither am I, let's go"
Mars and 78 spent the next half hour strolling around the castle together before the king found them and informed Mars that a room had been prepared and personally showed him the way there
"If you have anything you need please call the maid that is on standby outside your room"
"...I will"
Mars and 78 walked into the room and after 78 was done rolling around in the large bed both of them laid down on the bed and rested after their long 7 day flight, with a soft body pillow(78) Mars soon fell asleep...
While Mars and 78 slept there was an emergency meeting in the castle, the king, Gunnar and Jacklin were just a few names of those that attended the meeting of course the meeting was led by the king that now sat at the end of the table and waited for the people to quiet down which they soon did, then he spoke up
"This is a tale told from king to king, I heard it from my father before he passed... I won't bore you with the details but basically the tale tells a story about five living gods wandering the face of Alfan, some single handedly brought ruin to kingdoms, while others ushered in new eras of peace and prosperity..."
A noble from the castle city raised his hand before he spoke
"With all due respect what does fantasy tales of 'living gods' have to do about the current situation, I say we should kill these rude guests in their sleep"
A few moments passed before the king spoke again
"Still Mars our so called rude guest fought an avatar possessed by an archangel and won... Can you say any mortal is able to do that?"
the nobel shut his mouth and paled slightly so did the rest of the people present, this was the first he had mentioned of the avatar being defeated by Mars, a few seconds of heavy silence passed before another nobel let out a nervous laugh and asked the king with a slightly shaking voice
"Surely you are joking with us your majesty..."
The king gave a faint smile and spoke
"I saw it with my own eyes, but if that's not enough for you, I'll give you permission to go visit the chapel and see for yourselves"
"No I wouldn't dare doubt your majesties words... It's just too unbelievable..."
"I thought so too, that's when I remembered the tale about living gods and asked Mars and he indeed confirmed he was a living god"
the people at the meeting whispered to each other for some time until a person that had been silent so far spoke: Jake
"...How about we recruit him to our side? would the war not be easier with a literal god on our side?"
people began whispering to each other again until the king raised his hand and the room fell quiet again and he spoke
"What you say is a very good idea... It's just I don't think Mars has any interest in our war, after all he said so himself"
Jake gave a smile
"Well then it's simply finding out what he wants, isn't it?"
"Very well..."
When Mars woke up he found that 78 was still sleeping within his arms when he breathed out her two fluffy ears twitched slightly, after watching her sleep for a bit Mars decided to get up and slowly unwrapped her arms from him before he got out of bed and stretched, now that he was rested he was ready to head onwards on their journey, there was just one problem he had no idea where to go
'Info was supposed to guide us to the next continent... maybe I should head to the local temple...'
Mars quickly decided on his course of action and thus left the room which slightly startled the maid that was on standby outside the room
"...Do you have any instructions?"
It was only then Mars remembered that the king had said he could tell the maid if he needed anything and gave a smile before he asked
"Could you show me to the local temple?"
The maid gave a bow and spoke
"If you require a prayer room I have been told that the chapel of the castle is open to you"
"Yeah... but the avatar there is broken, therefore please show me to the local temple"
"Yes at once"
Mars was about to leave with the maid when the door to his room burst was burst open by 78 that looked angry and yelled
"You're planning on leaving me behind again aren't you Mars?"
Mars gave a sigh
"I was just going to take a short trip, thus I didn't want to wake you up"
"I am awake now so I am coming too!"
"Sure..."
Mars could only surrender and so 78 happly latched onto his right arm and the two of them followed after the maid into the castle city, the temple turned out to only be a short distance away but with 78's current looks as a beastwoman the trip took a whole lot longer than it was supposed to as people began yelling and screaming wherever they went, the local town guard was even called which resulted in them getting beat up by Mars.
When they finally reached the temple Mars was rather exhausted (although only mentally) and when he was initially denied a prayer room he almost punched the priest in the face, but decided to pull out his necklace of the apostle and showed it into the face of the priest before he was allowed a prayer room
Inside the prayer room Mars put his hand on the crystal ball in the middle which made it light up and soon a robotic voice sounded out inside the room

"Yes"
[MORTAL DETECTED, SMITE Y/N?]
"No"
[CONFIRMED, SENDING REQUEST... REQUEST CONFIRMED, STARTING DESCEND]
A formless pressure descend into the avatar that laid on the altar, Mars gave a smile as this was the one that he was familiar with so there was no reason to be on guard like last time, soon the avatar sat up and open its light blue eyes and stared into empty space
"Info?"
[Hold on a second, I am processing a large influx of information...]
Mars waited along with 78 and a few moments later Info's eyes seemed to regain their focus before she cursed
[That fucking bastrad!]
"Info? What's wrong?"
Info seemed the breathing deeply from rage for a few seconds before she calmed herself and shook her head
[Well sit down, this is going to take a while to explain...]
"Sure..."
Info waved her hand and the usual table and chairs appeared inside the prayer room, after the three of them sat down Info collected her thoughts for a moment before she spoke
[You remember the time you killed that emperor right Mars?]
Mars gave a nod
"Sure"

"Because he hurt Varvei, thus he had to die"
78 peaked her ears up when she heard the name Varvei and she began feeling a little sour, but she was not sure why, as 78 was confused by her own feelings the two 'adults' continued their talk

Mars gave a frown but soon he remembered the other reason why he killed that otherworlder and spoke
"Oh right, he was planing some pretty through race cleansing, some human surpency bullshit right?"
[Yes and do you remember why that was bad?]
"Hmm... something about being smited..."
[Yes that's right! The whole problem lies in being smited... Now do you have any idea what it entails to be smited?]
"Nope"
Info gave a sigh before she waved her hand and a price of rock appeared floating above her hand

Infor focused on the rock for a few moments before it suddenly began distgrating at a rapid pace until there was nothing left

Lightning crashed down and the rain banged against the window, the wind howling around the house.

Standing on his tip-toes, the child stared out of the window, watching the rampaging thunderstorm outside with fascination. When the sky roared once more, a small gasp left Sam's mouth and he ducked down.

Small hands clasping the windowsill tightly, he pulled himself up once more and his green eyes focused on the sky above. Sam watched how another lightning bolt stroke down to the ground, the sky roaring not long afterward.

A sigh left his lips. There's no way I can sleep like this, Sam thought in annoyance.

Closing his eyes and clasping his hands together in front of him, he send out a prayer. Might as well try. "Hello angels," the child spoke, "pastor Jim once told me that thunder is angels bowling."

The sky quieted down. Hoping that the angels were listening, he continued. "My name is Sam Winchester and I am trying to sleep here, so I would appreciate it greatly if you could just shut up for now. Amen."

Unclasping his hands, Sam went away from the window, crawling back into the warmth of his bed at Bobby's. Finally, silence. But sadly for Sam, it did not last long. For the moment he had closed his eyes, the lightning show started again louder than before; almost like a mockery towards the child.

Sitting up in his bed, Sam groaned in irritation. "Really?" He muttered under his breath, throwing the blanket off him and jumping out of bed.

Sam crossed the room and opened the door, groggily rubbing his eyes. "Dean!" He whined, going down the creaking stairs. "Dean! Bobby!"

He ran into Bobby when rounding a corner. "What are you doing out of bed, kiddo?" Bobby asked. Sam looked up into the older man's gaze which stared down at him in slight concern. "It's already past your bedtime."

Sam pouted. "I can't sleep," he said, "the angels are keeping me awake."

Bobby stared down at the child before him. "Angels?" He asked in bewilderment. It would have been more logical to him if Sam had told him there was a poltergeist or a wendigo in his room, but angels? No hunter has ever seen an angel and there was no way Bobby believed they were real, not without any proof at least.

Nodding his head, Sam replied. "Pastor Jim says that thunder is angels bowling." As if on cue, the sky roared once more, followed by another flash of light. Sam stared out of the window before focusing his attention back on Bobby.

"Do you know where Dean is?" Sam continued.

"On the couch," Bobby replied, pointing somewhere behind him. "Get some milk from the fridge or something and get back to sleep, okay?"

Sam nodded. "Sure," walking past Bobby, he went towards the living room to find his big brother.

Watching Sam go, Bobby shook his head, deciding that he needed to have a chat with Pastor Jim to stop filling the boys head with crap like angels. "Idjits," he muttered and left.

Just like Bobby had said, Dean was on the couch. Sam watched his brother with his head tilted to the side. Dean was sprawled out on the couch, appearing to be reading a porn magazine of some sorts - Sam never understood his brother's liking towards it - and Dean was lightly chuckling to himself.

Peeking over his brother's shoulder, Sam saw the picture of a half-naked Asian woman. Pulling a face, he whined, "Dean!"

Startled, Dean dropped the magazine and turned around wide-eyed. "Sammy!" He said. "Don't do that."

"And aren't you supposed to be asleep?" Dean added, glancing at the clock on the wall that read past ten. "It's past your curfew."

"Dean," Sam asked, "Pastor Jim says thunder is angels bowling... that true?"

Shaking his head in disbelief, Dean went back to the magazine. "There is no such a thing as angels."

"Anyway, if they were real. Do you really think angels can be that loud?" He added.

As if on cue, the sky roared once more, louder than before and numerous lightning bolts illuminated the sky. The brothers looked outside and Dean said, "Just try to sleep. It's late."

Sam sighed. "Alright then, good night," he mumbled, going back towards his room.

Once in his room, he glanced out of the window once more. Sam swore he could hear someone yell 'strike' very loudly. Shaking his head, he went to bed and covered his head with the pillow, hoping to block out the obnoxious thunderstorm that way.

Meanwhile in Heaven.

"Guys," Castiel said, trying to catch the attention of his siblings. "That was just mean. Perhaps we should let the child sleep. We can bowl another day."

His siblings ignored him. Castiel hung his shoulders slightly.

Uriel meanwhile, held a bowling ball in his hand, staring at the pins in great concentration. The other angels watching on.

Pulling back his arm, Uriel shot the ball towards the pins, but before he could release it, Gabriel flew forward and screamed loudly in his ear. Yelping, Uriel's arm twisted and he missed the pins by a feather's breed. Another lightning bolt went towards the world below when the Angel had thrown the bowling ball. He turned towards the smirking Archangel and asked with furrowed eyebrows, "Brother, what did you do that for?"

Gabriel shrugged his shoulders. "I just felt like it. Now shut up and watch how the pro does it, little fledgling," the Archangel spoke, picking up his golden bowling ball and standing in position.

"Zachariah," Uriel tried desperately, turning towards the angel who wrote down the scores, "say something about it."

Zachariah stared at him. "I am not going to tell an Archangel off. I don't have a death wish."

"Gabriel," Castiel tried again, "you really shouldn't cheat. Cheating is a sin."

"Shut up, Cassie," Gabriel replied, tongue poked out. He threw the ball and it went towards the pins, all of them went down. "STRIKE!!" Gabriel yelled, fist pumping the air in victory. Numerous lightning bolts illuminated the skyline of Earth when the Archangel got a strike.

Uriel threw his bowling ball into the ground in irritation. And Raphael electrocuted a yelping Gabriel. "Don't cheat," Raphael said, lightning radiating off him, "you should follow the rules!"

"Nobody cares about the rules!" Gabriel retorted.

"Who gave you the right to cheat?" Raphael asked again, starting to feel agitated with Gabriel's actions.

A smirk grew on Gabriel's face. "I did."

The Archangels glared at each other and Anna slipped away, knowing what was going to happen next. Uriel was also starting to sneak away and Castiel mostly looked confused.

Zachariah looked down at his clipboard, pen in hand. "Ten points for Gabriel," he said, adding a '10' to the Archangel's score.

He turned towards poor Castiel, who did not seem to understand what was going on. "Castiel," he called out. The black-winged angel looked his way. "You might want to get away from here. This isn't going to get pretty."

Castiel lightly bowed to the higher-ranked angel before he disappeared in a flutter of wings. Glancing one last look at the two fuming Archangels, Zachariah himself disappeared as well. If Raphael and Gabriel really were going to fly at each other's throats he did not wish to be there.

Michael watched how Gabriel and Raphael clashed together, the force strong enough to create an enormous thunderstorm above the entire American continent.

He wasn't worried though. Not at all.

Michael knew his younger brothers wouldn't kill each other and they never fought long either way - a few hours at most, until Gabriel got bored and went back to Earth to play as a pagan god.

Interfering was pointless in his opinion. "Idiots," the eldest Archangel muttered.

Glancing down at Earth, towards the child who had sent out a prayer - the very child who was to be Lucifer's vessel - Michael felt slightly bad for him, but not bad enough to actually do something about it.

He knew the child wasn't going to get any sleep done tonight either way.

In japan an Old man was fighting with another immensely strong person. These after hours of battle the old man was on the ground dying.

Gouken: "Akuma you..." he dies before he could say anything else.

(Judgement Hall)

God: "Hello are you Gouken master of Ryu and Ken correct."

Gouken: "That is me. Might this one know where I am and who you are."

God: "I am God and you are at judgement hall where souls are judged."

Gouken: "So I have perished then."

God: "That is correct but you were a good man one of the best I have ever seen." 

The bulky elderly man seemed quite fond of the compliment.

Gouken: "This one doesn't deserve such praise."

God: "I will send you into another world one of ninja for your performance."

Gouken couldn't believe what he was hearing. He didn't think he would get reincarnated into another world.

Gouken was blinded by light before he could say anything. When he awoke everything was pitch black he tried to move his limbs but to no avail.

Gouken felt his body being constricted and pushed. Then two large hands grabbed his head and pulled him.

Gouken: 'That explains everything I am just being born.' Gouken calmly surveys his surroundings.

God: "Hello Gouken I have some time to spare do you have any questions."

Gouken: 'Tell me about this world.'

God: "This is the world of Naruto. A world of shinobi and ninja. People of this world use life energy called Chakra to preform all kinds of jutsu."

Gouken: 'What are they doing to me?' 

A man was currently putting a sealing on Gouken's stomach.

God: "They are sealing a tailed beast inside of you. There are a total of 9 tailed beast that are in the world each one is made of chakra and are immensely strong. Strong villages seal them inside people because they can't control them and use those people as weapons in war. People like this are called jinchuriki."

Gouken: 'Which of those is being sealed inside of me.'

God: "The Four Tails Son Goku the King of the apes. I suggest you act cautiously when you meet him. Son Goku is very prideful and hates humans he also hates being called four tails. There was a jinchuriki for this beast already but I decided to take it from him and give it to you."

After God gave brief history about the world Gouken was finally born and was currently wrapped in a towel.

God: "You should train hard a the Third Shinobi World War will start in 12 years."

Just as Gouken was going to ask another question a group of leaf ninja busted in the room and started killing everyone the saw.

Sakumo: "Miss Saiko I'm sorry we couldn't get here sooner let's go back to the village."

Saiko: "I am going to die just take my child and keep him safe now go the will send reinforcements quickly."

Sakumo: "On behalf the village I thank you and your husband for all you have done."

Saiko: "Mom is sorry she can't stay with you my child."

Saiko: "Gouken."

-5 years later-

A muscular youth was in the library reading books about the history of the world. During these 5 years Gouken was always training or learning. He would train his body from 6 am to 8 pm then head to the library for 4 hours then going to the orphanage to sleep.

Gouken's body was muscular and very strong. He had long straight black hair adorned with one prayer bead and was wearing a gray sleeveless karate gi. He also has multiple prayer beads around his neck and a giant brown rope around his waist.

Gouken: "I should be getting back."

He walks up to the bookshelf and returns the book before heading outside. On his walk home he stops to get some dango.

Dango was his favorite food in this life and his previous one so he couldn't resist eating some every once in a while.

Gouken ate the dango very quickly and continued his walk home when a group of 3 kids around the age of 8-9 blocked his path.

Gouken: 'Ah this will be interesting.'

Gouken: "Why have you stopped me."

Kid 1: "You humiliated my younger brother so I will do the same to you."

Gouken: "Sometimes humility is what one needs to grow."

Kid 1: "Some talking like an old man and fight me."

The kid runs towards him with his fist pulled back. Gouken easily dodges the punch and smacks the boys head before jumping back.

Gouken: "You left yourself wide open in battle mistakes lead to death."

Kid 1: "Guys help me teach this kid a lesson."

The kids charge at him and begin throwing a bunch of kicks and fists. Gouken didn't fight back but instead dodged everything till the kids were tired.

Once they were tired he did a roundhouse kick knocking all of them to the ground.

Gouken: "You guys lack proper technique your fighting is a disgrace to martial arts." Gouken has a very solemn expression.

Gouken: "Learn how to fight properly before you challenge me again."

After the skirmish with the kids Gouken returned to the orphanage and went to sleep.

An anbu member was watching the interaction and laughed before disappearing to go tell the hokage about the incident.

By the time he got to the hotel it was 16 minutes past 12. 'You are welcome sir the hotel clerk greeted him with a scheduled bill of K3,500 for his guests for another day. But I am here to check them out, I am sorry for coming late. As you can see I just wedded and have lots to attend to. Please cancel the bill because they are not staying any further.' 

'I am sorry that is not possible sir, it's a policy we don't have control over. Even if they are not going to stay further you have to pay for exceeding the stipulated time of 12 noon.' '

He rushed back to the house to pick from the money people sprayed them at their wedding reception. He got home and found the door slightly jammed. He rushed in and went for the money bag but it was not there. 'Where are you dear?' No response! 'Brenda, where are you? Where is the money bag we kept here?' The absolute silence caused him to look round the house just to see a note on his bed.

"This is to tell you that I have gone for good. I cannot live with a chameleon and an impotent man like you. Don't look for me until you find the solution to your impotence. I have carried my box and the money they sprayed us at the wedding. While you continue your prayer meeting, I am going to sleep with any man who is willing to make me feel like a woman. Sofiya opened her eyes, feeling a bit disoriented as she looked at an unfamiliar room. Memories of where she was flooded her mind and then she blushed beet red, remembering what had happened last night.
Ali had been a beast … a gentle one, but a beast nonetheless.
After the initial pain, she had been swept away by the intense emotions that Ali invoked within her. Never, in her wildest dreams, did she imagine it could have been like that. 
The way Ali had carefully, and tenderly, loved her in many ways made her gulp and her face go red as she remembered last night.
Her body truly ached right now and she wondered whether the times he had suppressed himself when they had been together turned him into that seemingly high-stamina man that lasted almost the whole night.
She said almost, because she got so exhausted that she had fallen asleep after the fourth round.
As Sofiya started entering dreamland, she had a vague recollection of Ali kissing her forehead and doing something, but she was too deep in sleep by then to know what it was. 
Sofiya looked to her side, and noticed that Ali wasn't around. She touched the bedsheet, and noticed that it was not warm anymore, so he must have woken up extra early.
She groaned, looking at the time and was in relief that it was still early. She had not missed the first prayer of the day as yet. 
Sofiya quickly got up and tenderly walked to the bathroom to bathe.
When Ali entered the room, he was struck with the vision of Sofiya praying.
Ali didn't know how to describe what he was feeling, other than a sense of pride and love that enveloped his entire being. Even without him prompting her, she had started performing the prayer.
Ali placed the tray with breakfast on the dressing table and waited for her to finish. Just watching her gave him a sense of peace that went deep into his soul. 
Once she was done, she spent a few more minutes after, to recite a few dzikir* before putting her hands together to pray, to seek guidance and happiness.
Once done, she turned to Ali with a smile, but scolded him, "Why didn't you wake me up? I might have missed the Subuh prayers."
"I was going to when I get back," Ali explained, "I was getting breakfast first. There is still time."
"But it is still not good to delay it, right?" Sofiya said as she took off her prayer garment.
For females, the area that had to be covered for praying was extensive. Only the face could be shown. For men, the area is between the belly button to the knee (but of course, no one prays shirtless).
Sofiya folded her prayer garment and prayer mat and set it aside.
Ali came over and kissed her, saying "Yes, you are right. I am sorry."
"From now on, we must pray together," Sofiya told him as they sat down on the bed, "You are, after all, my guide."
"Yes, you are right," Ali said again, kissing her again, this time more passionately. 
"Ali, I'm hungry," Sofiya protested.
"So am I," he growled, pushing her down on the bed.
Looks like breakfast would need to wait for a while ...
Much later, as they lay intertwined on the bed, Ali asked, "Tell me all about your journey."
Sofiya snuggled up to Ali, and began her story.

Sophia stood hesitantly at the door into the monastery. It looked rather imposing, in the sense that it was really big yet the entire building was simplistic. It was unusual to view something majestic, yet simple.
There was a course that the monastery offered, which provided an overview of Buddhism in which the fundamental principles are taught. One would learn how to apply these principles into daily life so that the teachings become meaningful.
Meditation is also taught, in which it can be used to calm the mind.
Sophia had opted for the ten day course, which included a two day silent retreat at the end. She wanted to get as much as possible from her stay, and the retreat was a great opportunity to gain practical experience of meditation.[1]
This ten day course was just the foundation and if she wanted to delve in deeper, there were more advanced programmes. Sophia was going to immerse herself completely in this ten day course and if this was the path for her, or if she was curious for more, then she would take the advance course.
Sophia was greeted and she had to check-in first. At the counter, Sophia had to hand in her handphone and all electronic devices. This was to ensure that one would be completely devoted to learning, rather than be distracted by such devices.
However, this did not mean that they were cut off from the world, as they could use the private phone line for emergency cases. Families could also contact them in that manner.
After she finished her registration, she was led to her accommodation. Food and lodging are provided, so things were simpler for her.
The course began the very next day, at 6.30am. They would have breakfast before the morning session began. Lunch is provided, and the session continues again until 9pm. 
Right after lunch, they were to observe strict silence which was to last until 10pm. However, since the day 'ended' at 9pm, who would really go out of their rooms to seek out other people to talk to? 
It also felt like they were going against what the whole course was about. They were to reflect on the day, and meditate.
They were to observe strict silence during breakfast and lunch.
In fact, one could even ask for a yellow ribbon to tie on their door, to indicate that they chose to be silent throughout the course.

Hi. Thanks for dropping by. Please bear in mind that I am a new author, and English is not my first language. I am writing because I find it enjoyable, and am only now finding the courage to actually pen it out for others to read.

This is a rebirth story of a girl who had lived one life, and will experience another. Follow her along her journey of discovery: of herself, as she walks an entirely new path. Yet, at the same time, she seeks to find closure from her old life. 

World background: Current Earth, with names of countries being just Country J, Country SA etc. 

First, the MC is the typical OP character. Second, it's a slice of life story mixed with OPness of MC. If you don't like Gary Sue / OP characters, with a slow story pace, then this is not for you. 

There are elements of adventure/action, romance, some comedy and a little bit of mystery.  It is also a story about friendship and the bonds we make as we grow up.

, Come with me I will show you what to do." said one bald man among the villagers. I went after him to start my first fieldwork experience. We arrived at one spot where he gave me a spade and said
, Follow my lead."
I took the spade in my hands and started following him. He was digging the land with it somewhere around a quarter a meter in depth. I was trying to imitate him as best as possible. Digging earth was not an easy job, I can see that our ancestors had a hard life. In this age robots do everything, in agriculture, human engineers need to input determined headings and that's it. If you don't want to tire yourself you need to pace yourself. Power and angle at which you hit and dig the earth are very important.
While I finished one furrow my teacher already finished his second. I could only sigh about the result. He also seemed still able to do two more while I was tired after just one. Well that EXP points won't come running to you. I looked at the sun high in the sky and continued working.
It seems that day and night are reversed here in the game. When it is night, in reality, it is a day here. When I came to the village it was 24 h in reality so in here was probably 12 in the afternoon. If time is going the same here and in reality now is somewhere around 14 h in the game or 02 h in reality. If the sun sets around 19 h I have roughly five more furrows to do.
Time was passing slowly and even my hunger bar was getting really low. Fortunately, villagers made a lunch break and I joined them. Since game reproduced reality almost 100% you could feel fatigue, wind blowing on your skin, even sweat was visible and was trickling down my cheeks. Because of that, I was looking forward to eating in game. The meal consisted of one loaf of bread and one bowl of some kind of stew. Bread was made this morning but wasn't hard. It still retained some of his softness. The stew was made here from different kinds of vegetables. The only ones I could recognize where carrots and some kind of onions and cabbage. There was little meat in it probably because they couldn't eat it every day. Anyway, it was delicious for a meal made in this kind of environment. Smell and taste were just like in reality.
My hunger bar which was almost empty was finally full and I even got temporary strength buff of 2 points for 2 hours. I continued my work until chief came back. He was obviously done with the merchant and had a smile on his face. Not short after that villagers started collecting all the equipment and tools and started going back to the village. I also followed them so I can log out in a safe environment which was, of course, the village. I could log out here but who knows if some monster will show up when a log in next time. I also wanted to have a little real sleep. Thankfully I didn't have many classes today. This was the first time where I thought that less history was a good thing since I could come home quickly after school and continue the game.
While I had my breakfast I was browsing forums to see first impressions of other players. As I suspected many players filed complains to game designers about the difficulty of the game and scarcity of monsters and quests to level up. Game designers only answered with the same story, rely on yourself and believe in gods. I was on good track so far and I suspect that I am not the only one. Wolf and Marco probably also found their way in raising their level so I will not worry about them.
Finally, Hope couldn't restrain herself and she asked me what did I do.
, Brother is it really that hard as people say? What did you do?"
, It is if you don't find the right way and say the right words. Everything has some function in the Age of Gods."

The school was in an even bigger uproar then yesterday. I couldn't wait to finish my classes. When kids are in this kind of mood there are few things to do with them or calm them. Most classes are like that, except Maria's, kids there are usually quiet all the time.
I saw three of my peers on break when I finished my first class, they discussed the game. If I was more precise Maria and Anna talked about it and Nick tried to interject every now and than. He even had not so nice expression on his face because he didn't have any to brag about in front of Anna. They saw me and two ladies beckoned me to sit with them. Anna asked me how was my first day after complaining how hard the game was. 
, It wasn't that bad I found two quests and I am still in progress with one of them."
, You found not one but two quests how did you do it?" asked Anna with an excited expression, and I could also see Maria show some interest from her sparkling eyes.
, One part luck one part intuition and even more luck, but I think you need to see NPC as real people and to talk with them as we talk here. And maybe you can find some benefits in that."
, What kind of a quest are you doing?" asked Maria. I responded with lightning speed when I heard her question happy like a bee in a field of flowers.
, Farming." 
, Ha ha ha ha" Nick laughed with such voice that whole break room heard him. Some of our older colleagues gave him a strange look which said are you crazy. He felt the atmosphere quit down because of him and immediately stopped laughing. 
, It is funny, but you can still earn experience if your villages have fields you can try it. Nick, you are a big guy that would be nothing for you. You would be a good farmer." I ended with small jest just to see his face.
He did give me hard look, but once he heard giggling coming from Maria and Anna he snorted something and went away exiting the break room. 
, We should try it in our village, Maria, farming I mean, what do you think?"
, Maybe, we will see" Maria said thinking about it.
, You two are in the same village?" I couldn't help but ask.
, Yes we were very lucky." said Anna, with Maria nodding her head.

We talked a little until the end of the break when we had to go to the next class. I remembered something and before we went through the door I said to them.
, Here is a little advice" both of them looked at me,, next time when you exit the village or as soon as you log in go to the temple. Try to pray to the gods, or in your case especially goddesses."
Anna looked at me with a confused look, but Maria seemed to realize something, as she nodded and thanked me for the advice.
, I have two more classes so I will see you on next break or tomorrow."
Next break was a short one so it was possible not seeing each other. After I finished with my classes I stayed for an hour or so to prepare the test I promised to my students. When I finished I packed my things and went home. As soon as I arrived and said hello to mom I entered my room and put my game helmet on.
I knew I had a little short of two hours before dad and Hope came from school for lunch so I wanted to use this time to the fullest.
When I showed up in the village it was still dark with the moon still in the sky. Sun won't be coming out for a few more hours. What should I do then? I went to the temple to see if prayer can give me some benefits. 
As I thought, my week-long super buff is a lot stronger than a regular prayer from now on. But then I thought, wait, I prayed to all the gods what about only one. That should be looked into. Which one should I pray to? My look fell on a statue of a bear and a prayer went out of my mouth.
, Veles, please protect me in your forest and give me strength in your fields."
 Since I wanted to search forest and also I will be working in the fields later Veles was the most obvious choice. He didn't let me down as I heard prompt in my head.

Prayer worked, but what most shocking was its benefits. It seems that my tittle,, First Believer" isn't for show only. If a was a regular player duration time, stats increase and damage reduced would be half mine. I tried with one more prayer but it didn't work, it seems that for now, only one prayer per day is possible. Maybe in the future, I could gain buffs from multiple gods.
Well, let's head to the forest. With the stick I found yesterday still in my hand I started moving towards the north gate since I knew that forest is in that direction. Guards were guarding the village gates even in this time. One of them noticed me and when I arrived at the gate, he talked to me.
, Traveler where are you going in this time, night time is dangerous if you are alone."
, I couldn't sleep so I wanted to explore a little around the edges of the forest. Don't worry I won't go too far in."
, That is good, you should know your limits, but be careful anyway. There are some beasts and some even worse things out there at night."
, Worse things?" I asked a little frightened.
, It will be better for you not knowing, just be careful out there."
I saw that he won't talk about it anymore so I went my way. Since I was level 0 right now I didn't have any illusions that I can survive inside the forest, so I decided to walk around the edges and try to map more of the surroundings. There was no map which showed everything so players had to explore and map by themselves. Good thing was that we didn't have to draw maps, game designers were generous about this. 
Forest was spread from the fields in the east until the mountainous region in the west. When I arrived at the mountainous region I saw one big rock in front of the mountains. To be more accurate first were small hills then there were bigger which than grew in a big mountain. I guess that the big rock is the namesake of the village. When you look at the hills and the mountain it is little, hence Little Rock village. This rock could be a sign for travelers or some kind of a boundary for villagers, like the big oak at the end the fields. I needed around one hour to go from the fields until the rock so I decided to go south and come back to the village at the south gate and to map the rest of the surroundings.

A journey through the world where gods still rule and humans still fear them. A world in which history professor can finally be a part of it. A world of which he only heard stories of, when he was a child, and could only imagine it. Can this still be called a game, or is it a totally new(old) world?

Guys, I will certainly not drop this novel. I was busy these past months whether with college or with finding a job. I am still trying to balance everything and AOG had to suffer because of that. I hope that I will continue with my writing in a couple of months.

That scream nearly kills me. He really is scared to death that he throws anything at me, those books, pillows and that damn chair. He cried for security while I am trying to calm him down. Fudge if Lights sees us like this he will castrate me.

We hear someone coming, and there are a lot of them... Dr. Gainza, Dr. Caday, Janice and oh no... Light. He said that he needed to investigate more, I'm so dead.

"Stay the hell out of me! No more fucking guys! Get out!" Eric is beyond hysterical right now so Dr. Caday orders us to go but Janice stays. When the door close we heard Eric sobbing that it breaks my heart to hear, Dr. Gainza grips my arm tightly.

"What the hell are you doing in there?! Did you know that men are forbidden to enter in that room! For fuck sake are you even thinking?! I'm going to fire your sorry ass you little piece of sh---"

"Dr. Fernando Gainza! Please shut up and calm down, let me handle this." Dr. Caday said to him.

"Oh you really going to handle this, you hired him Dave and he is your responsibility." Dr. Gainza walk out of the hall like a drama queen.

"He is the androphobic one? Do you have a plan on fucking telling me this! You are so dead." Light are so mad at me that his lights are seeping out of his body.

"You are not helping Light. Kelvin what are your plan for this?" Dr. Caday calmly asks me.

"I—I don't know, help me please ..." My heart is breaking, I can't even kiss him. I already have affection to him but I am afraid to love him, knowing that I can't even prove that he is my Iroga.

"Pray to Mapolan, pray for her guidance and she will help you." Light said to me.

"Who is Mapolan?" I ask them.

"Of course she will help you. She is the Goddess of love and protector of lovers. Just prove to her that you love him." Dr. Caday said to me.

"Thanks Dr.—"

"Just call me Dave, and don't mention it." He said.

Dave assures me that he will help me with Eric as long as he can. Light just smirk and say "Good luck Kelvin I heard he got a dirty mouth." and laughs. As they go back to the morgue I walk into my room thinking what they said about Mapolan. Will she hear my prayer?

I am in my bed staring in the ceiling pondering what I will do so she can hear my prayer; my roommate is still not here so I can do it now but how? The heck with it... I kneel to ground at my bedside and pray the normal way. I close my eyes and take a deep breathe.

"Um, good evening Mapolan? How will I say this? I need your help, desperately. I like someone but he is afraid of me, He is possibly my Iroga but I can't even tell because I can't kiss him yet. Is there anything that I can do, anything... just please help me." I open my eyes and see nothing.

"You know if I love someone I can do anything for them..." Fudge I can't think of anything to say.

"I want to love him but I am afraid..." damn that is the wrong thing to say...

"I like him and I cared for him. I promise that if you help me I will love him for the rest of my life so please... I am begging you. As a person who needs guidance for love, I need yours my goddess." I pray for the whole night until my voice is raw and nothing happens. My tears starting to flow as my hopes started to disappear every second. My roommate saw me crying in frustration and asks me what is wrong. I told him nothing and hide my face with a pillow and drifted to sleep.

When I woke up I know there something happens with my surrounding. I feel like I am content with my life for the first time, I feel loved and cared for. That someone out there loves me for who I am. When I about to sit up, I found a woman standing in front of me that I startled. She smiles at me and sit beside me. She looks so young yet her demeanor shows maturity.

"Hello kelvin, it is nice to finally meet you. I'm Mapolan and I'm here to answer your prayer." She said as she touch my heart and close her eyes. I am speechless seeing a deity beside of me, touching me.

"Aaahh the feeling of affection and love, I will never get used to this." She sighs and smiles at me. She looks like a mother, a young mother.

"uhhm.... Thank you?" I said to her wondering what is going on.

"You know that there is many of us right? Deities in the Kaluwalhatian, they are all watching over every mortal. But not all of them will guide you to the right path, so be careful and don't pray randomly." She said to me seriously.

"You're telling me this why?"  I said.

"Some gods just wants to help but others just want you in their debt, especially you're a Four child." She said to me.

"And what do you want?" I ask her.

"Unfortunately I'm here for both of them."

 "Can I ask why?"

"Technically you are not lovers yet and your patron god is Bathala, but I saw your love for him blooming that draws me in so I will help you. But I need your help too something that only mortals can do." She said. "You know what the only thing we can't do?"

"No I don't know. What is it?"

"We can't interfere in the mortal's fate, when Bathala gave mortals free will, we deities can't control what your decisions and your future. All we can do now is watch, help you and guide you but nothing else. But there is a loophole..."

"You can ask mortal to do the interference." I said to her, as I learn what she wants me to do.

"Exactly... so I need your help."

"OK, what will I do?"

"I need to formulate a plan before I tell you. As of now I will answer your prayer."

"Can you help Eric to conquer his fear?" 

"I can cure him of his phobia but his wariness of male will still be a burden to him. It is up to you to help him trust human male again."  She said to me smiling.

"Thank you very much, goddess."

"No need to thank me, I need your help too. Goodnight Kelvin may your adventure with love flourish." She said as she kisses my forehead and I fall asleep instantly.
