A modern-day witchcraft potion is more likely to be an herbal remedy for the flu instead of a hex to harm someone.
Today's witchcraft spells are usually used to stop someone from doing evil or harming themselves. Ironically, while it's probable some historical witches used witchcraft for evil purposes, many may have embraced it for healing or protection against the immorality they were accused of.
But witches—whether actual or accused—still face persecution and death. Several men and women suspected of using witchcraft have been beaten and killed in Papua New Guinea since 2010, including a young mother who was burned alive. Similar episodes of violence against people accused of being witches have occurred in Africa, South America, the Middle East and in immigrant communities in Europe and the United States.

Deathly Forest (3)
Under a sky filled with after images of claws, I remained calm and focused. Even though I was greatly pressured, I managed to stay safe and sound. Occasionally, I would use my sword to fend off the attacks which I could not avoid. Sometimes, I would use some skills to deal a large amount of damage against the boss.
Claws and swords intertwined, creating countless dazzling sparks.
Afterward, under Shi Feng's command, Lonely Snow would occasionally interrupt the Hell's Roar, while Cola would hold back Felt whenever we were in danger, and Blackie would use Evil Whip to contain Felt's movements. 
In such a way, Werewolf Felt's HP continuously decreased, 60%... 40%... 30%...
"Everyone stand in a straight line facing the Boss! Quickly!" Shi Feng hurriedly shouted when he saw Werewolf Felt's HP nearing 30%.
No one had any hesitation; we knew that the Boss was about to go berserk. We immediately took action, forming a straight line against Werewolf Felt, while also maintaining a 30-yard distance away from it.
The moment Werewolf Felt's HP reached 30%, its fur started changing colors. Within a moment, its fur had become snow white, and two streams of blood leaked from its eyes. Its chest also started to quickly expand, as if it was a swelled-up frog.
Shi Feng immediately ordered me to step up in front of the other party members.
"Cola, use Protection Blessing on DarkNorth!" Shi Feng loudly shouted.
Protection Blessing was able to reduce the damage taken by a party member by 50% for a duration of 6 seconds. It was a lifesaving skill with a 5-minute Cooldown, and right now was the perfect moment to use it.
Cola immidiately began chanting divine texts. Streaks of golden divine texts rushed at me.

At the same time, Drowsy Sloth, at the rear of the line, continuously cast Recover and Life Prayer, pulling my HP back up to full and returning me to my best condition.

We all could clearly see the multitude of gray-colored waves being emitted from Werewolf Felt's body. Streak after streak, it continuously expanded.
At this moment, Shi Feng moved.
Phantom Kill!
The instant the dark gray ripples arrived in front of my body, his doppelganger had blocked in front of me. At the same time, the doppelganger used Parry.

This move would increase Werewolf Felt's Attack Speed by 100%, its Movement Speed by 40%, and its Attack Power by 100% until it died.
After activating Death Berserk, Werewolf Felt's fur started turning red; in a moment, it had become blood-red in color. Adding in its crimson red eyes and sharp fangs, Felt looked remarkably like a Blood Fiend. 
Seeing this, we quickly retreated under Shi Feng's order. Afterwards, Shi Feng started to kite the boss.
Every time Werewolf Felt was about to catch up, Lonely Snow and I would Charge at it. We would the use our skill to reduce Felt's movement speed. When our skills were on Cooldown, Blackie would use Evil Whip to constrict Felt once more.

At this moment, Werewolf Felt exploded, dropping out over 10 items. Additionally, I leveled up to level 4. The EXP provided by the boss and system reward caused me to need 70% more EXP to reach level 5.
There were a total of 15 pieces of equipment. Amongst them, there was only a single Secret-Silver Equipment, which was the Crimson Blade. There were also 6 pieces of Mysterious-Iron Equipment and 8 pieces of Bronze Equipment. The Bronze Equipments dropped by the Bosses of Hell Mode were all of the highest quality. The Bronze Equipments dropped by Elites were far from comparable.
Amongst the six pieces of Mysterious-Iron Equipment, there were two pieces of the Dark Color Set meant for Cursemancers. The remaining four pieces of Mysterious-Iron Equipment were the set pieces for Guardian Knight, Shield Warrior, Berserker and Elementalist. 
Due to my contributions, I received the Mysterious-Iron Equipment for berserkers.
The other five items were a Forging Design, a Potion Recipe, a rare skill for Cursemancers [Hell Flame], a notebook, and a skill book of one of Werewolf Felt's skill [Death Stare].
"Shi Feng, can I get [Death Stare]?" I immediately asked him upon remembering the effects of the skill.
Shi Feng readily agreed, seeing that I was a great help in this raid.
Upon receiving the skill book, I immediately learned it.

Would cause 75% Attack Speed and Movement Speed reduction to all surrounding enemies for 10 seconds.

I became very excited upon learning the skill. Although I am not the fastest player in the game, with my skills, I would greatly reduce their speed. I want to laugh loudly imagining my opponent's faces when their speed became comparable to snails.

Seeing Ymir charge at him in anger, Yang Ling understood that he had already achieved his goal. He tilted his body and moved to the side, easily avoiding the attack.
Ever since he consumed the half bottle of Water from the Spring of Life, he had broken through the last barrier between him and the level of Spirit Wizard. It was not only his Wizard Powers that improved drastically, he was also much faster than before. Even though the Blood Elf Battle Boots Ymir was wearing doubled his agility, his speed was still lower than Yang Ling's.
"Oh, why is Yang Ling so fast? Ymir can't catch up to him even though he is wearing the Blood Elf Battle Boots. It sure is incredible!" the masked Spellcaster Michelle exclaimed in shock. She then continued softly, "Could he have cast an Acceleration Spell?"
After closing her eyes and muttering some incantations, a faint white glow silently spread from Michelle's staff in Yang Ling's direction. But quickly, she opened her eyes and shook her head in confusion. She could not sense any ripples of Magical Energy coming from Yang Ling's body. Yang Ling was clearly not using any Acceleration Magic, nor was he equipped with any high level equipment that could enhance his speed.
"Hehe, that's right, Yang Ling's speed is high, incredibly high, but it is not good enough. Against the heavily armored Ymir, he would suffer defeat sooner or later!" The knight Clause shook his head. In his opinion, Yang Ling stood no chance of victory against the powerful Ymir.
"No, Clause, Yang Ling's ability is very weird. I feel as though he has many abilities up his sleeves. No one can know who exactly will have the last laugh!" Seeing the composed Yang Ling, Michelle had a bout of inspiration. Perhaps this young man would be able to bring an even larger surprise to the table.
After tilting his body and avoiding Ymir's manic attack, Yang Ling let out a cold smile. He took out the sharp dagger from within his Space Ring. At the same time, he secretly conjured a ferocious Horned Bee Beast and hid it within his sleeves.

"Oh Yiblis, you blasted Summoner, die!" Ymir's morale was high. He covered the sky with fireballs with just a spell—Sky of Fireballs. The terrifying exploding fireballs danced in the sky, all raring to burn Yang Ling into ash.
"Oh god, Sky of Fireballs?"
Looking at the huge exploding fireballs, the troops and explorers who knew about the spell all lost their voices in shock. Even a Great Spellcaster would not be able to cast a spell like this, much less a high level Spellcaster. The Ring of Flames sure lived up to its name as a powerful fire element equipment. Its power was spectacular.
Seeing Yang Ling being pushed around, Ymir's supporters started to cheer as they flailed the weapons in their hands. At the same time, the ordinary citizens of Wissen Town became incredibly nervous, all fiercely cursing the arrogant Ymir. Some placed their hands on their chests in prayer, hoping that the gods would bless Yang Ling, seemingly more nervous for him than he was for himself.

He was not interested in the victor of the match between Ymir and Yang Ling. All he was concerned about was the Dark Divine Weapon Snake Demon Blood Staff in Ymir's hand. The resting place of the Holy Dragon Ayrpaciro was no small matter, and naturally there would be many people interested. He believed that Yang Ling would soon be either blasted to death by the exploding fireballs or turned to charcoal by the high temperatures of the wall of fire.
After shaking the flames off his sleeves and seeing the exploding fireballs covering the sky, Yang Ling knew that he could not hide any longer. The Horned Bee Beasts had proved ineffective against Ymir's turtle-like barrier and Kevlar Heavy Armor, but the combined attacks of his Evil Eyes might bring about a pleasant surprise. After reciting an incantation, Yang Ling summoned an Evil Eye.
A Summoner who has a contract with an Evil Eye?
Seeing Yang Ling dodging for his life, then looking at the weak Evil Eye, the eyeballs of the people spectating the battle nearly popped out of their sockets. They hadn't expected Yang Ling to be hiding his abilities as a Summoner, nor did they think that he had a contract with a weak creature like the Evil Eye.

But Yang Ling had entered a contract with a Magical Beast like the Evil Eye!
Recovering from what they just saw, the supporters of Ymir laughed loudly while the ordinary townspeople became dejected. Even a fool would not think that a useless Evil Eye could defeat a heavily armored high level Spellcaster.
Just as the crowd was having mixed reactions, something surprising happened!
Just as Ymir stopped his attacks and began laughing, another Evil Eye appeared behind Yang Ling. One, two… Their numbers became larger and number. In the blink of an eye, there were more than two thousand Evil Eyes in the valley. It was a tightly packed group, quickly getting into a weird, three-layered crescent formation.

Lying limply on the ground after being kicked to death, she still saw the man took off his clothes. She saw his evil smile as he began removing her pants and her blouse. Contrary to her abating strength, was her flaring heartbeats,  throbbing painfully against her chest. It' s loudness even drowned his devilish laughter after he succesfully removed the last tiny pieces off from her body. She screamed in fright and despair as the man spread up her legs forcefully and began licking her inner thighs. His tounge moved upward while goosebumps spread all throughout until it reached her most private territory. Screaming from the top of her lungs and wailing at the same time, she struggled to free herself... 

"Miss, Miss, wake up! " Allie scrambled to her feet as she was awakened to the strong tugging of her shoulders. 

She instantly trembled as her eyes opened to see the gentle face of a young man who was bending over her. She hadn't seen him before. His almond - shaped eyes surrounded by long, thick lashes made him different from all of the men she met in this place. His milky white skin made him look younger and his naturally flushed cheeks reminded her of the pinkish face of Chloe. 

"Who are you? Where am I? " She asked boldly as she looked around in a frightened expression. 

She was already inside a beautifully - designed room, furnished with contemporary and elegant furnitures. The bed she was lying in was large and her bedside lamp on top of a wooden table displayed elegance. 

"In my room here in the office. " He answered but he quickly turned his back on her right away. His short answer made her crazy. 

"In your office?  Where? Who are you? " She desperately asked as her scary memories in the shipyard rushed back into her mind. 

Waiting for his answer which seemed to never come at all, the door was opened and to her great relief, it was Mr. Gregorio.

"Missy,  I'm glad you're up! " He said as he worriedly approached her by the bedside. 

"Sir..." A lump suddenly formed in her throat that she couldn't speak. She couldn't believe that she was still breathing and seemed to be in a safe room. Tears instantly followed and in the next moment, she found herself sobbing all her fear out. 

"Missy,  what are you doing in the area? It was still very early and the place was dangerous." Mr. Gregorio said as he rubbed her back and touched her head like a father to a crying daughter. 

Allie smiled weakly before she answered. 

"I was just looking around to see how big is our place. I watched the men working and imagined myself designing my own craft. Most importantly, as I requested, I came early so that I can still go to school afterwards. "

Mr. Gregorio nodded in admiration. He saw her sincerity and how she instantly got lost whenever she thought about designing her own crafts. 

"From now on, report to work at 8 am to 12 pm until your schooling will be completed. I'll send you a written agreement for that. "

"What? " She looked surprised and overjoyed, momentarily forgetting her terrifying experience earlier. 

"Yes, Missy. " His smile got wider as he reached out a hand to congratulate her. 

"Thank you so much,  sir. "

"Our pleasure, Missy. As long as you will be faithful according to what you have  promised. " 

"By God's grace,  sir. "

Allie got teary - eyed to hear this amazing surprise after she almost died in fear. 

"By the way,  Hayri saw you being dragged. He hurried back to the office to call the guard. When they went back to rescue you, the man was about to kick you but the guard fired his gun into the air. "

"Thank you,  Lord..." She mumbled in silent prayer of thanksgiving as to how she was rescued. She was sure that that Hayri just happened to drop by. 

"Who is Hayri? " She asked, wondering if he was a utility worker or an engineer who happened to pass by. 

Mr. Gregorio turned to the young man who woke her up who was now lying comfortably in the couch while watching TV.

"Hayri, introduce yourself to Missy. "
He ordered and surprisingly,  the young man stood up obediently and extended a hand towards her. 

"I'm Hayri, my Turkish name. Glad to meet you. " He said with a gentle smile but slumped back to the couch afterwards, placing both of his legs on the arm rest.

"Sleep again, Missy,  to relax your mind then I'll bring you both to the university in two hours. "

Take them both to the university? She wanted to ask more about it but he saw him winked at her with a "will-talk-about-it-later" look. 

"Who's room is this? "She surely couldn't bring herself to sleep again in a stranger's room. 

"It's Hayri's. Stay here before I could
clear out everything. "

Noticing her discomfort, Hayri stood up and followed Mr. Gregorio to the door. 

"Sleep again, Missy. I'll wake you up after an hour. " Hayri said as he looked back at her over his shoulder while opening the door. 

She watched him closed and reopened the door as he forgot to switch off the light. Allie hurriedly sprang up to her feet and dropped down on her knees by the bed. She cried hard as she thanked God for the way He arranged the coming of Hayri into the area to be His channel of rescuing her. In all the remaining time, Allie poured out her heart's contents in that special moments of prayer. She commited her and Ajie's dreams and plans to the Lord as well as the guidance and protection for her whole family. 

"Lord, I may be wrong in my decision to run away but please turn this mistake into a blessing for all of us and for all the people around me. "

She did not know that Hayri was already standing by the door when she uttered her last prayer loudly. He felt something strange inside. What kind of heart this woman has?  That's maybe why his uncle travelled the distance just to tell his father about her. He may had already seen something different in her.

As Allie stood up, she right away saw Hayri by the door bringing a tray of food.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you, Miss. But you need to get up now and prepare. "

Allie gave him a smile before answering. "It's alright. "

"Come,  take your breakfast. What they have on the kitchen are only egg, rice and beef tapa. We'll drop by the grocery later. "

Allie could not help but cry at this kindness. She brushed her tears quickly away as she thanked him. 

"I don't know your taste. So I just bring along some sachets of sugar and creamer for your coffee. "

"Thank you so much  again, sir! "

Hayri turned to her and giggled.

His giggling was contagious and so Allie laughed but in a moment, she became emotional .

 "Thanks again for rescuing me, Hayri "

"I'm also a dangerous man,  Missy. Only that I hate any case of **** especially with beautiful women like you. "

"But I swear,  once that woman who destroyed our family will be handed over to me,  I will **** her ruthlessly until her last piece of human dignity will be stripped off from her soul! "

Allyza lifted up her eyes to Hayri, her fiance who stood beside her on the deck. He looked back at her with those tender eyes, filled with so much love and admiration for her.

He was very powerful. Even when he was asleep, he could sense people coming near, and naturally, that would wake him. He could not help feeling a little shocked when he learned that Baron Dahl had brought his family and people in the dead of night for a visit to talk about changing beliefs and taking sides.
I'm just here to develop the church; how did things develop to such a point where even a lord wants to convert and believe in His Majesty? Isn't this step a little too big?
There was a saying on Earth that went, "Too big a step will pull at on one's testicles." As a divinity healer, Bishop Kabbalah was not worried about which body part would be pulled. But at that moment, he really felt great discomfort.
After he and Baron Dahl talked in detail and he learned about the entire event, the pain was even more apparent.
What is this! Why did the fight between the aristocratic party and the merchant party under the Commonwealth of Gold Coins result in a lord coming to us? What has this got to do with us? Shouldn't you naturally belong to the aristocratic party if you are a lord? Oh… Seems like he can't naturally belong to the aristocratic party since his main income comes from business dealings… Then for the time being, just put a pause to your smuggling business! Anyway, if they are to change their belief to His Majesty, they are still required to sort out all the business they have at present…
He had so many thoughts that they were in disarray. He was thinking so hard that there were spirals, like mosquito incense coils, twirling in his eyes. But still, he could not figure anything out.
With a deep sigh, he said to Baron Dahl, "Lord Baron, I have grasped your situation. But this is no small matter; I'd better consult His Majesty…"
"Of course, of course!" said Baron Dahl. He was all smiles as he nodded, as though he was a plump chicken feeding on grains.
Bishop Kabbalah went to the dressing room for a bath and a change of clothes. When all preparations were completed, he headed to the prayer room and lit some incense shavings which gave off a reassuring aroma. Then amidst the light smoke coming from the slowly burning shavings, Bishop Kabbalah knelt before the altar in silent prayer.
Moments later, Sui Xiong responded to his prayers.
"So, this is the matter of concern… Yes, if they are willing to mend their ways and stop doing evil, I can protect them," Sui Xiong said. After a moment of consideration, he agreed. "But my protection for them is only limited to preventing the aristocratic and merchant parties from sending assassinators to attack them. I'll not offer any protection if their conflicts are business-related or due to grudges from before."
Bishop Kabbalah conveyed Sui Xiong's reply to Baron Dahl. Baron Dahl was silent for a moment, then indicated that he would need to discuss with his people again.
So they borrowed one of the rooms in the temple where they held their discussions.
This time, they did not spend much time discussing. About 10 minutes later, Baron Dahl paid Bishop Kabbalah a second visit. He expressed his acceptance of His Majesty's conditions.
Although they were unable to get full protection, which made them a little uneasy, the attitude of His Majesty, the Void Mask, had proven his reliability in another way—as people of rich experience, be it Baron Dahl or his people, they would rather trust those who carefully negotiated their conditions before doing things, rather than those who readily agreed to take care of everything.
Because the more carefully one considered, the more detailed their conditions would be. This would in turn, represent a more serious attitude. And those fellows who readily agreed to take on anything as though they could run carriages in their mouth—their words simply could not be trusted!
Since they had come to an agreement on the conditions, the matter was settled. The Dahl family returned back to their castle with minds at ease—though it was almost daybreak, that did not prevent them from sleeping soundly now.
And on the other side, the clergymen of the Church of the Void Mask were getting busy.
Initially, the Dahl family was a hodgepodge of beliefs. There were some who believed in the God of Aristocracy and some who believed in the Goddess of Wealth. Now they wanted to collectively convert their beliefs to follow the Void Mask. And naturally, they would need a formal and grand ceremony.
Not only that, most people from the Dahl family were bad guys. To accept them as followers, the church would have to arrange redemption for them.
"Atonement" was not something that could be completed simply by buying a certificate of redemption. This was only possible in the mid-century period on Earth. It was also not like those with great power could go straight to heaven so long as they killed a few followers of another belief, regardless of any bad things they had done. In this world, redemption was something very solemn and serious. It involved quite a difficult process and a high price to pay.
First, the person who decided to redeem himself had to proceed with a period of fasting and ablution to allow his body and mind to enter a state of quiet and peace. Then, in this state, he would have to personally narrate his entire list of crimes and received punishment according to the crime committed. The punishments included, but were not limited to, beatings, burnings, as well as various pain inflicted either physically or by spells.
This agonizing and difficult process would, at times, last as long as a month. When the entire ritual had ended, they still had to accept a mission. Only when they had accomplished this mission with a good and solemn attitude could the entire redemption process truly be completed.
So long as they could complete the entire redemption process, they would not be considered bad guys who were unpardonably wicked and guilty of the most heinous crimes. They could also convert their camps from evil to neutral. Then, so long as they conscientiously did good, sooner or later, they could progress into becoming good people.
However… in this world, there were very few bad guys who could truly complete the entire redemption process.
On one hand, this process was indeed accompanied by acutely intense pain. The more severe the crime, the more severe the pain would be. Most of the bad guys were extremely stern towards others but went easy on themselves. There was no way they could bear such pain.
On the other hand, even if they were willing to bear such pain, there were very few churches willing to carry out the redemption rituals for bad guys. This was because after the ritual, the bad guys would become members of the church, so their actions would be closely associated to the church's honor. 　　
Even if they were willing to redeem themselves of their crimes, the clergymen were seldom willing to believe in these villains.　　
The only people keen on holding redemption rituals were from the Church of the God of Redemption. This group of people advocated that "no matter how bad a man could be, so long as he was willing to mend his ways, there would always be a day where he could repay his sins." They were also eager to persuade the bad guys to atone for their sins and accept redemption—even if it was penitence at one's deathbed.
But the bad guys were reluctant to do so because if they chose to accept "redemption" on their deathbed, it would mean that their souls would belong to the God of Redemption after death. They would then need to do all sorts of good things under his arrangement to redeem themselves for their sins.
This was something exceptionally difficult.
In the end, only a handful of the higher-ups of the Dahl family were willing to accept the redemption ritual and become core followers of the Church of the Void Mask. The rest simply bowed to salute and pay homage to the statue of His Majesty, the Void Mask, and accepted baptism by Bishop Kabbalah before leaving. 　
"It's good this way too," said Bishop Kabbalah as he watched them leave. He could not help feeling relieved, albeit his disappointment.
He was responsible for the redemption of these people. No matter what, so long as the number was smaller, the difficulty or trouble that might be involved in the future would be much smaller.
As for those people who left… they would be the ones treading on their paths. The choice would be theirs to make, so regardless of whatever might happen, the responsibility was all theirs. 


In the world, there were gods who obeyed the rules, whether good or evil. But there were also evil gods who defied the rules. 
When a traverser was confronted by the rules that he could never conform to, the resulting collision marks the beginning of the story of an evil god…
This is the story of a good man who transformed into a great jellyfish, then traversed his world to arrive at a world of swords and magic. His journey of searching and exploring eventually led to him remaking nature and changing the world. 

With ringing camel bells, the caravan struggled to travel through Immensity Sea. Looking around, only desert and plain land with a few stubborn shades of green could be seen.
By noon, the sun was shining directly overhead, and the high temperature made them dizzy. Even those who had the Apertures enlightened felt burning sensations on their body, and dryness of the mouth, not to mention the ordinary men leading the camels. Thus, they sought shade behind a few weathered rocks.
With a loud gurgling of water, many regained their spirits and chatted idly.
"Evil Blade was killed. We probably have to change our flag soon." The leader of the caravan sighed.
They had handed over many goods in exchange for Evil Blade's protection, and no longer needed to worry about attacks from large bandit groups. Their own escorts could handle the situation for smaller groups. But who would have imagined the sudden turn of events, in which Ze Luoju was killed in the royal advisor's mansion?
As such, before the news spread around Immensity Sea, they hurried off soon after the blockade was lifted in Hahler. They would probably need to change their flag after the trip too.
Another leader of the caravan didn't care very much. "What are you afraid of? Even though Evil Blade is dead, Crying Elder is still alive! He will definitely hand the Evil Ridge to someone else, so our flag will be just as useful!"
The leader who spoke initially was somewhat relieved, and could not help lamenting, "Killing Blade is definitely worthy of being called a legend for chasing after him for more than 20 days across tens of thousands of miles, and then finishing him off in the royal advisor's mansion, the safest place in Immensity Sea. His rank in the Ranking List of Young Masters is indeed well-deserved. Maybe after a few years, he will be able to reach the Terrestrial Rankings..."
"True. Who would have thought that he would suddenly attack in Immensity Sea right after shooting up in levels, without stabilizing his realm at all! Ze Luoju probably didn't expect it either!"
"We just heard about the level up a few days ago? And Killing Blade had actually already killed Evil Blade tens of thousands of miles away from Luoyang! It's like a dream."
"Perhaps those who have been through Heaven's Punishment four times are just that strong to begin with..."
This incident caused a sensation in Hahler, and all from the caravan joined in the discussion except for the escorts, who were keeping a lookout for horse bandits. The discussion was intense, as if they had seen the fight themselves. They felt as if Killing Blade was like a god descended from heaven, suddenly appearing in front of Ze Luoju, striking and killing him when he least expected!
But there was one man who did not join the discussion. He was sitting under a weathered rock, looking indifferent but secretly pleased. It was Meng Qi himself, pretending to be a desert tramp.
He had a long sword hanging by his waist, looking calm and composed with average facial features that differentiated him from Killing Blade.
He could not use his Killing Blade identity to kill Devil-slaying Sword, just as it was inappropriate to use his Heavenly Primogenitor identity as Meng Su, who had suddenly appeared in Immensity Sea.
He looked up at the sun, estimated the current location and realized that he was not far from Bomi.
Among the buzz, several desert tramps had turned to look at the weathered rock. And as soon as they saw his figure, they felt bright sunlight shining on them, sparkling in gold.
Squinting their eyes to look again, the man with his back against the weathered rock had already disappeared. Nothing was there except for sunshine.
After leaving with the shelter from the sun, and moving hundreds of miles into Immensity Sea, Meng Qi stopped and found a hidden weathered ground, and hid inside the gap. Listening to the rippling of the underground river, he took out his bounty.
Meng Qi stayed in Hahler now for two reasons. He wanted to confuse Crying Elder by making it hard to find him, as he would probably not search where he had been. Furthermore, he had been hit by Ze Luoju's Netherworld Evil Eye and his Vital Spirit was damaged with Yin Qi entering the bone. His injuries were serious, and he needed to heal and rest. It would only completely heal after 20 days or so.
If not for the fact that he had two heads and four arms, with another head to stop the disaster, he would still be greatly injured by Ze Luoju's ultimate evil skill despite the strength of his Eight Nine Mysteries, making it impossible to escape!
Since he stayed in Hahler, he was afraid that Ze Luoju's black bag contained things that could be sensed by Crying Elder. Thus he resisted the urge to check it until today.
The most obvious bounty would be Ze Luoju's devil sword. It was long and narrow, strange in shape and dark in color. When listening closely, one could hear piercing cries of pain coming from inside. However, it was struck by the Grand Sun and Sky Thunder, causing it to lose its dark malice on the surface as damage.
After looking at the devil sword for a while, Meng Qi put it back into the Space Ring, took out the black bag, and opened it.
Instantaneously, glowing rays and mysterious dark lights were emitted. If not for Meng Qi's Grand Sun Geniune Fire, which had illuminated the surroundings in a golden colour and suppressed the strange sight, the rays could have been seen from miles away.
This bag seems to be a half-completed space object... Meng Qi nodded thoughtfully when he saw that the contents of the bag exceeded his expectations.
His eyes were very sharp, and he immediately found two objects that seemed strong and strange.
One was a deep green, almost black, stone, with a human face curved onto it. It was sinister, fierce and twisted, as if it was describing the Nine Serenities. The other was a string of prayer beads made from brown wood with a total of nine pieces, of which seven had already lost their faint Buddhist shine, appearing dark and obscure. Of the other two, one shone with a pale gold glaze, while the other was dark brown exuding a little starlight.
"These are two secret treasures." Meng Qi was no longer a novice, he was well informed and had very accurate judgment.
The secret treasures of his own world were not as wonderful as those of apotheosis. They were mostly defensive and offensive items made by separation of breath. After carefully identifying them for a while, Meng Qi preliminarily decided on the abilities of the two treasures. The dark black ghostly stone was made by one of the moves in Haunter's 18 Slaps, combining the yin ghost and exotic treasures, and was used for offense. Judging from its breath, it was at least the standard of a 4-fold Heaven in the Exterior, which is more powerful than the first step of the Celestial Ladder.
"Fortunately I engaged in a sneak-attack and didn't give Ze Luoju a chance to rest. Or I would have had to run for my life after he took out this secret treasure..." Meng Qi was very satisfied with his strategy.
The beads contained the breaths of Buddhism, and it was not hard for the half-monk Meng Qi, who had mastered the Buddha's Palm, to assess it. He could basically confirm that the nine prayer beads were in fact nine secret treasures, and Ze Luoju had obtained them from a masterful Buddhist monk. Seven beads were used, and the last two were the Protective Glazing Light and Mind Connection beads, which Meng Qi had always wanted. All kinds of magical Heavenly Knowings required one to complete the first level of Celestial Ladder, otherwise Meng Qi, with his four heavenly ordeals, would have had them already. So he could only rely on the Grand Sun and Bright Stars that combined with his Body Movements to hide for the time being.
"Judging from their breaths, these two prayer beads do not exceed the power of the Third Heaven of the Exterior..." Meng Qi's smile was all across his face. He loved the beads. Ze Luoju was indeed worthy of being leader of the horse bandits, storming through Immensity Sea for so many years. Meng Qi had just received a windfall.
With two secret treasures in hand, Meng Qi had more confidence about his trip to Carefree Valley.
Apart from them, the rest were extraordinary as well. There were the shiny and golden Divine Sun Stone, Core of a Fallen Star, Vast Earth Soil, Essence of the Golden Sand, White Pure Gold, and Netherworld Iron. They were all exotic minerals and products that could be used for training, especially Divine Sun Stone and Vast Earth Soil. After inducing them with genuine Qi, Meng Qi could enact one of the steps of Vairocana Swordplay, Standing Still and Clear Jade Swordplay consummate, greatly reducing the amount of time spent.
Meng Qi calculated, and he felt that the exotic minerals and products that he had would be worth ten thousand Karma points, and could help his training speed keep up with his body's condition, which had been through four heavenly ordeals without slowed down by the reduction of Vital Qi in the Exterior.
"Indeed the leader of horse bandits who stormed Immensity Sea for all these years..." Meng Qi was touched to tears, almost praising Ze Luoju.
It was quite right to choose revenge first!
When transferring the exotic minerals and products into the Space Ring, Meng Qi gave a slight squeal as he saw two obscure things inside.
One was a token which was made from neither gold nor stone, neither wood nor silk, with ancient seal script written on it:
"Open when seen."
The other was a brass key with a familiar shape.
I seem to have seen this somewhere... Meng Qi frowned in thought, suddenly remembering something, and took out a string of brass keys from the Space Ring.
It was the key found on An Guoxie, of which Meng Qi and Gu Changqing suspected to lead to where The Lone Robber had hid his property. However, aside from the key shape, which gave a clue on an Oasis nation, there was not a single other clue. Unfortunately, Meng Qi was never free enough to look for the location.
After careful selection, Meng Qi took out one of the brass keys from the string and placed it next to the key from Ze Luoju.
The pair had gouges on the front as if they had been bitten by rats at random. By comparison, however, they were identical!
"Exactly the same. They are keys that open the same door..." Meng Qi felt that the key was a little odd.
Ze Luoju had one, and An Guoxie had one. This illustrated the extraordinary character of the door that the keys could open.
"The rest of the keys can be sold to Jiuniang or as chips for information since I don't have time to look for it anyway. They are probably considered normal jewelry, and not able to be exchanged for Karma points. But I have to keep these two keys and search for the Oasis nation that the keys represent, after Carefree Valley..." Meng Qi made his decision fast and kept his stuff.

Bomi, initially a vast Oasis of Immensity Sea, was home to a strong country.
But more than thousands of years ago, within one night, dark red mist appeared in the air and completely enveloped Bomi. No one could escape from it, and they all disappeared from the face of the earth. Rumors were all circulating in the West Regions then, some said that the Bomi kingdom had discovered some ancient grave and started digging secretly, but instead dug through a gap into the Nine Serenities which allowed dark evil spirits to fill the air with the Netherworld water pouring out. Others said that underneath Bomi some terrible Monster was contained, and someone accidentally broke the seal, causing its power leak out, breaking the earth...
There were all types of guesses and many Dharmakaya masters entered to explore, but none came back with success. The dark red mist within could block spiritual perception, blind the senses, and blur seer's eyes. There was also a long valley deep in the grounds beneath, with complex structures and routes haunted by ghouls and demons. Therefore, it became a place for many villains or enemies to hide, and was deemed the most dangerous area of Immensity Sea.
The red mist in front was stagnant even though strong winds were still blowing, devouring the sandstorm like a monster.
Meng Qi looked at the malicious red mist, took a deep breath, held the long sword at his waist, and stepped inside.
Coldness penetrated his body via the Nose and Mouth Aperture, but did not eliminate the hot and dry feeling, creating breathing difficulties and pore blockage instead.
His eyes were burning and could see less than twenty inches ahead. His ears twitched but all sound ceased near him. As he looked up to the sky, he could only see red mist, not the sun or a moon, neither stars nor clouds. Meng Qi had lost all sense of direction.
He inched forward slowly, waiting for a signal. The information that The Immortals had given him include the specifics of Bomi, and the contacts of certain individuals inside, so he could find Devil-slaying Sword Yang Zhenchan easier.
After about half an hour, a group wearing black armor or white robes came through the howling dark winds and swaying red mist. Their eyes were glazed and their skin withered, with many places rotted and oozing. They were all dead!
Meng Qi held his breath and did not move, only deciphering the position they came from.
"Piieeww!"
Horn-like wails blasted as the team moved on slowly, staring straight ahead, without any noise other than the horn, not even the sounds of the armor plates colliding.
"Piieeww! Piieeww! Piieeww!" The team went far into the other end of the red mist, and the chilly, eerie, uneasy feeling was gone instantly.
Meng Qi heaved a sigh of relief and turned in the direction the team of dead had come from.
Other than Dharmakaya masters, this was the only way anyone could determine directions in Bomi!
The Yin soldiers patrol from east to west!
It was rumored that these nether spirits were the original occupants of Bomi.


I care not of my past and neither of my future.
Conquering all heroes and foes while looking with disdain at the horrors of the Samsara, I yearn only for a life of thrilling wonders!
History will repeat itself after many ages as the menace of the Great Calamity rises once more.
Which will rise with triumph in the face of adversity; the Golden Form of the Great Buddha or the invincible Heavenly Taoist Form?
Which will seize all glory amidst all struggles; The Buddha's Palms or the  Seven Strokes of Heaven's Interception?
From the sanctum of the Shaolin Temple, Meng Qi's adventures and struggles through the Samsara begin as we follow his climb to claim the title of "the Unrivaled and the Invincible One"!

We all want to be successful in our finances & we often equate it with having lots of money. the Bible, however, tells us that true financial success has practically nothing to do with how much or how little money we have. instead, in God's economy, it is all about character. This means that true success begins with the heart-our being determines our doing. But because of our sinful nature, we long to fill our heart with more money & other material things in order to be successful. This is only to find out later on that unless we have JESUS CHRIST, there is NOTHING IN THIS WORLD that will ever be enough. The truth is ONLY JESUS CAN SATISFY OUR LONGINGS & CAN FILL IN that vacuum in our heart. Jesus Christ's warnings implore us to beware & be on guard against any form of greed-that insatiable desire to have more.

Money is not the problem, but the love & longing for money is.

To succeed in what truly matters to God, we need to learn three aspects of true financial success.

PERSPECTIVE OF FINANCIAL SUCCESS
1. God owns everything.

1 The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it,
    the world, and all who live in it;

    and established it on the waters.

    and the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 I know every bird in the mountains,
    and the insects in the fields are mine.
12 If I were hungry I would not tell you,
    for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

If we could only compute the monetary value of all the earth, the universe & everything in it, can we even imagine how rich God really is? All the produce of the land, sea & heavens are HIS. He does not need anything from us & He owes us nothing. IT IS ALL HIS.

2. God is our source.


Philippians 4:19 New International Version (NIV) says
19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Since God owns everything, obviously HE IS ABLE TO SUPPLY ALL OUR NEEDS (NOT OUR GREED). This is what is in the heart of God. WHEN WE HAVE A TRUE TOTAL COMMITTED PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM,we can see our Heavenly Father providing for all our needs. More so, God is the source of our strength that allows us to produce wealth.


Deuteronomy 8:17-18 New International Version (NIV) says
17 You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." 18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

3. God is our Master. 


Matthew 6:24 New International Version (NIV) says
24 "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

We cannot serve two masters. GOD MUST BE THE ONLY ONE SITTING ON THE THRONE OF OUR HEART.HIS PLANS FOR US ARE MUCH BETTER THAN OURS OR ANYONE ELSE'S. If we believe that GOD OWNS EVERYTHING, if we TRUST THAT HE IS THE SOURCE OF ALL THINGS & if we truly want to serve Him as our Master with a grateful heart, then it will surely impact our use of money.It all begins with having the right perspective.

PRACTICES FOR FINANCIAL SUCCESS

How can we apply the right perspective into practice?

1. TITHING.


Proverbs 3:9-10 New International Version (NIV) says

9 Honor the Lord with your wealth,
    with the firstfruits of all your crops;
10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,
    and your vats will brim over with new wine.

The whole purpose of tithing is to  honor God as the owner & source of everything by putting HIM first. God is teaching us to honor HIM so that He can bless us. But if we are robbing HIM with our tithes & offerings we withhold HIS blessings.

Moreover, the blessing of God is not only what He gives but also what He does not allow to happen for our protection.


Malachi 3:8-11 New International Version (NIV) says

8 "Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.

"But you ask, 'How are we robbing you?'

"In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe," says the Lord Almighty.

Love Fulfills the Law

8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.

Having debts is not a grave sin, but the Bible has nothing good to say about debts. Our goal is to owe anyone nothing because God does not want us to be a slave to the lender.

    and the borrower is slave to the lender.

To borrow & not to pay is wicked.

21 The wicked borrow and do not repay,

Jesus came to set us free to be what He wants us to be, not to be enslaved by greed or by debts.

Every financial decision is a spiritual decision. If we believe that God owns everything then we would want to ask Him permission, guidance & wisdom in all financial matters.

The Widow's Offering

21 As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. 2 He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. 3 "Truly I tell you," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. 4 All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."

Giving is on top of tithing. The story of the poor widow teaches us that everybody can give. God is a giving God, He gave His only Son because He so loved us. More important than how much we give is how we give-whether we do not grudgingly or our of compulsion but with a cheerful heart.


2 Corinthians 9:6-8 New International Version (NIV) says

Generosity Encouraged

6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Proverbs 30:25 New International Version (NIV) says

25 Ants are creatures of little strength,
    yet they store up their food in the summer;

This refers to saving, budgeting & accountability. The tiny ants can teach us to prepare in summer before winter. When faced with financial decisions, calculate the cost beforehand. 


Luke 14:28 New International Version (NIV) says

28 "Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won't you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?

Live below your means. Financial success is all about  faithfulness to our Master. 


Matthew 25:23 New International Version (NIV) says

23 "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'


PRACTICES FOR FINANCIAL SUCCESS

The blessing of true financial success is the very PRESENCE OF JESUS CHRIST in every area of our lives. He alone can give us the pleasures of PEACE & CONTENTMENT; two things we all surely long to possess more than money. There is more to life than our accumulated material possessions & that is peace.


Matthew 6:25-26 New International Version (NIV) says

Do Not Worry

25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

This peace of God surpasses all understanding & guards our hearts & minds.


Philippians 4:6 New International Version (NIV) says

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Contentment is a sense of sufficiency & being grateful for what we have. 


1 Timothy 6:6-7 New International Version (NIV) says

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

After all, we brought nothing into this world & we cannot take anything out of it either. In the end, Jesus Christ alone is enough for us.


Mark 10:45 New International Version (NIV) says

45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."


John 19:30 New International Version (NIV) says

30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

1. What is the warning of Jesus Christ in Luke 12:15? Why did He warn us to be on guard against greed?

Mia's answer:  In the Luke 12:15, Jesus Christ warn me of being greed about money; He warn me to be on guard against greed because He know that even during His time, people is greed about their income

Kathy's answer: In Luke 12: 15, "Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions."  Therefore, we should be on our guard against all of greed.  Life is not consist of material things.  There is spiritual things that we would be connected to God. 

2. Does your life show peace & contentment in financial matters? How do you say so?

Mia's answer: Yes, My life show peace & contentment in financial matters; I say so by giving my tithe every week even during our MIDWEEK SERVICE

Kathy's answer: My life is not that financially stable.  Because I am unemployed and disabled  My father is unemployed and aged.  But, we are trying our best to meet our needs by looking out for good opportunities to earn money . 

3. How do you intend to begin & share the pleasures of financial success with others?

Mia's answer: I intend to begin & share the pleasure of financial success with others by telling them what I am doing 

Kathy's answer: By giving tithes and offerings to the church.  Amen.  And by sharing my blessings to my father and nieces and nephews.  During Christmas, I give gifts like chocolates and cookies to my nieces and nephews.  And my father gives "ang-pao's" to his grand children during Christmas Season.

Airow paused as the four stepped outside of Bob's Bar.  His ability to detect evil was working now, and he was confused.  The small man was registering as neutral evil, but the tall one was neither evil nor good.  
Pulling Grey to the side, he whispered, "How do we know that we can trust these two?"
She glanced over at the two who were busy looking over a map and discussing where they needed to go next.
"They aren't lying to us, I can tell.  Whatever their reasons for wanting to help, I'm grateful for it.  We can't do this on our own, and we have to avoid the other angels as best we can.  If word gets back to the elder angels what we're doing, we'll really be in trouble."
"If angels are sent, we're done.  We'll fall and become demons.  I don't want that."
"Neither do I," said Grey.
"I think we need to head north from here," said Guit, coming over to them with the map.  "We are sensing the closest group of demons there.  According to the map, there's a large city there, so that would make sense."
Argen nodded as he approached.  No reason to say anything, that would just take more effort.  He was already dreading the trip.
"That's a long way," said Grey, looking at the map.  She wished they could fly part of the way, it would be faster, but she knew that was out of the picture if they wanted to keep their angel status a secret.
"There's a few horses that have been roaming around since the demons left.  We may be able to catch some and ride them?" suggested Airow, looking around.
After several hours, they finally managed to capture four of the horses, but no matter how hard Guit tried, his would not let him ride it.  Every time he tried to climb on, it would startle and shy away.  As he stood there, gnashing his teeth, Grey grabbed the horse's halter and spoke softly to it, while Airow grabbed the small man under his arms from behind, and quickly hoisted him into the saddle.
Everyone stood still for a moment, waiting to see what would happen, as the horse thought about the situation.  Its ears laid back along its head, and as its muscles bunched to fight, Airow joined Grey at its head, speaking softly to it and petting it gently.  After another half an hour to make the horse remain calm, they were finally ready to leave the desolate town.
Through out all of the excitement, Argen had dozed in the shade of a half-destroyed wall.  When his horse was led to him, he quickly jumped into its saddle, and waited, almost asleep again, for them to get Guit into his saddle.
As they finally started on their way north, a sound of flapping drew their attention.  A large angel was sweeping towards them!
"It's the elder angel coming to check on the portal!" cried Guit, trying to get his unruly horse to cooperate as it spooked from his cry.
"What do we do?" asked Grey, panicked.
Airow watched as the angel swooped towards them, noting that the whiteness of the feathers seemed off.  The more he focused on them, the more obvious it was that they were illusioned to look white.
"I think he has fallen.  His wings only appear white, probably to throw off any angels that might be watching.  I think we can safely fight him, without worrying about our own status."
"He's evil," said Argen, calmly watching the angel's approach.
"Tie the horses so they don't run away again," said Grey to Argen, as she slid from her horse.  Handing him her reigns, she drew the sword Airow had given her.
With a sigh, he took Airow's reigns too, and directed his horse to the other side of a demolished building.  Guit tried his hardest to get his horse to follow, finally kicking it in the ribs hard enough for it to jump forward after Argen.  As Argen grabbed the reigns of his horse too, he jumped from the saddle and ran over to Grey and Airow.
They looked at him curiously, but focused back on the incoming angel.
Argen tied the horses securely to a beam that stuck out of some of the debris, then sat down to watch.  If they needed him, he might think about getting up to help, but starting with them, just seemed too exhausting.
The elder angel dived with his sword out, with a battle cry. The clouds in the sky were shoved back by his passing.
As he landed, they blocked their faces from the debris blown up.
"You will pay for your sins!" he cried.  
Airow couldn't help but notice the lack of holiness in his voice.  In fact, the chill that crept down his spine was more from the feeling of evil, than it was from the actual words.
"It is not I who hide my true form!" exclaimed Airow, exposing his magnificent white wings.
"Yet you travel with this filth!  You might as well have fallen yourself!"
With those words, the angel flew at them with his sword pointed at Grey.
Grey took her stance and held her sword at the ready.  Airow drew his bow and let loose a bolt, but the angel swiped it away.  Guit shook his hands as claws erupted and he screamed a nerve-wracking scream.
Jumping forward, Grey dodged below the angel's attack, and shoved her sword up, cutting along his entire length as he flew past.  With a scream, he jerked away, swiping away two more bolts from Airow and landing in a crouch.  With a snarl, his eyes began to glow red, and he removed his hand from the gash that ran along his entire torso.  Blood could be seen dripping on to the ground.
"You'll pay for that, fallen!" he growled.
"Look who's talking!" she sneered, taking her stance again.
Guit charged from the side, running on all fours, jumping off the wall to the angel's left, and slashing with his claws, across the side of his face.
Spinning away, the angel stood up with a laugh.  The claw marks were mere scratches, blemishing his perfect face.  Instead of blood, though, they could see black scales peeking through the cuts.
Guit landed and immediately charged again, jumping off a large rock, spinning in the air, and slicing at the angel again, before landing further away.
The angel ducked, and with a flap of his wings, jumped into the sky again.
Airow was ready.  He had charged his bow with all twenty of his arrows, and as soon as the angel was clear of the ground, he let loose.  All twenty hit.  Except, as the smoke cleared, they saw that the arrows didn't hurt him as they had intended.  
With a scream of rage, the angel blasted away the ruined remains of his illusion, exposing his true form.
Black scales covered his skin.  The feathers on his wings were black as pitch, and his eyes glowed red as smoldering embers.
"You will pay for this!" he screamed in rage.
"Now everyone will know that you are a lie!" cried Grey, throwing her sword with all of her strength.
As it flew towards the angel/demon, he moved to knock it aside, but she quickly closed her hands and began to recited a prayer.  It was the first prayer of protection that she had been taught when she first awoke as an angel.
"May the heavens hear my cry of help!  Send a legion to my aid! Hear my prayer, I beg of you!"
Her sword split as there was a crack of lightening and a roll of thunder.
Fear erupted on the face of the elder angel/demon, as the heavens began to pour forth angels in answer to her call.

Stasia(Grey), led a squadron of angelic warriors, until they came up against a demon battalion that was more than they bargained for.  She fell that day.  Events will transpire to make her doubt everything she knew.  With the aid of Airow, she has to fight to gain back what she has lost.  However, what they find may change everything.
