After classes, the protagonist stays in an apartment near the university. He is living alone due to his father being in jail and his mother being long dead.

CHARACTERS:
Dade Anlace
A twenty year old college student and a son of an infamous hacker. Being taught by his father in a very young age, Dade has become a skilled but mischievous hacker. Hacking had been the main reason for his survival, because he earns money by doing private hacking services illegally to support his studies and basic needs. Due to his cold personality, Dade only has friends that he can count using the fingers of his one hand. One more thing, he can't live without coffee.

Lucas Pervertio
As showed on his last name, Lucas is your average pervert. He proclaimed himself as the protagonist's bestfriend even though Dade doesn't think the same. As the story progresses, he has became Dade's sidekick of some kind doing favors and missions for his partner. Lucas is also the drummer of a famous band inside the university.

Ethan Salazar
Upon entering college, the freshmen psychology student, Ethan has been looking for something interesting to do inside the university. He doesn't want his college life to be filled with only studies and exams so he immediately signed up at a newly established detective club called "The Deductionists". Overwhelmed by the current members of the club, Ethan will have a hard time in getting used to the club and provide help in solving cases inside the campus grounds.

Airene Torres
The founder and president of "The Deductionists". Airene has been a fan of detective movies and novels since high school, which she carried until now. Chapter 1: Messages and Threats
Dade's POV:
The chapter will focus on Dade's private hacking services and doing the request of his first client of the semester. The classes and activities inside the campus were interrupted as he retrieved the mobile numbers of all the enrolled students in the university's main server and sent a surprising text message to all of them. After the occurred chaos, he goes to a coffee shop to unwind. A new character is then introduced as Lucas Pervertio entered the establishment.

Chapter 2: Campus Detectives
Ethan's POV:
The second chapter will start with the introduction of Ethan Salazar. After classes, the freshmen looked around the campus as many clubs and organizations began to look for new members. Ethan then discovers the detective club known as "The Deductionists" and instantly applied to join. He meets the club president Airene Torres who'll test him if he has what it takes to be a campus detective. The chapter ends as Airene decides to accept him in the club.

Chapter 3: Vice Advices
Dade's POV:
The third chapter focuses on the main character's life outside of the university as he deals with his life problems as a person living alone in an apartment. Being unable to find requests or clients for his private hacking services, Dade then decides to visit his imprisoned father to check on him and to ask for advice as a fellow hacker.

This is a novel encompassed with mystery, ethics, family ties, and romance. Of course, the highlights of this book are the murder cases. 
Although it’s a modern setup where none of the characters have a system or any other cheats, the Author managed to delight me with her writing, creative plots and a good pace without dragging her story. 
I marvel at the way the Author links up the clues and plot to explain the individual cases as well as paving the way to unravel the huge conspiracy behind the individual murders. Romantic plots are light-hearted so readers could take a breather from the plots of gruesome murders.

"Sir," our waiter said in calm and professional tone. "I will have to ask you not to disturb our other guests. May I offer you a complimentary appetizer to go with your meal? Our Chef has prepared a delicious soup for tonight."

The young man held his tongue before demanding rudely, "Be quick about it!" 

"Right away sir," our waiter said before exchanging a look with another waiter who had walked over. The other waiter nodded and turned around to take over, allowing our waiter to return to our table. "My apologies for the disturbance. Have you decided on what you will have to drink?"

Just like that the momentary disturbance passed. Kishan ordered a bottle of French wine and an appetizer before the waiter left again. 

"Well," Kishan began, "I know you like to read but what else do you like to do with your free time?"

"Mmm, when I'm not reading I like to watch K-drama's and variety shows."

"Why K-drama's specifically and not other shows?"

"A good story by definition has to have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Most American tv drives me insane because the goal is to have another season, not actually resolve anything. So they almost never have a decent ending."

"Hmm, I've never thought of it that way."

"Well what do you do besides reading in your spare time?" 

"I haven't had a lot of time to myself because of studying so much. But I have dabbled a bit in writing novels myself." He said calmly as he took a sip of water. 

"Oh, about what?" I raised a curious eyebrow.
 
He laughed a little before saying, "It's probably just better if I show them to you later if you're interested. I might not be able to stop if I get started."

I narrowed my eyes slightly, "Fine, but you better not back out on it later."

He smiled warmly. "I wont."

"I know you just graduated, so did you graduate from a University around here?"

"No actually, I only moved down here a couple weeks ago. Come fall I will be starting to teach at the major University in Baton Rouge."

My eyes widened a little at his statement. "So your closer to Baton Rouge than New Orleans."

He nodded. "I've got a place only 20 min from the school."

I said nothing as I did the math. He had driven an hour to pick me up and then close to another hour down to New Orleans. I could not help but feel a little guilty but it would be to weird to apologize for it. 

"That'll be nice for the commute," I commented instead. "Anyways how old are you? I realized earlier when Ester asked that I don't know."

"I'll be 32 in a few months."

The waiter returned with the wine and appetizer and we ordered our meal. Both the wine and the food where exquisite. Throughout dinner we exchanged short versions of our life stories. 

However, as we were waiting for dessert to arrive, we began to discuss modern novels. Until then we had only discussed topics like classic literature and philosophy. When Kishan asked my favorite modern novel he was surprised to find out it was the latest supernatural detective series. 

"I would have thought it would have been a romance," he said with a slightly raised eye brow. 

"No. I..."

Crash. I was cut off by the sound of breaking glass. I turned to the find the source of the noise. It once again was the next table over. The man had continued his meal silently so I had forgotten about him. It was clear from a glance that he was drunk. 

He sat there looking down at the glass he had just dropped on the floor in a complete daze. A waitress who had just finished delivering drinks to a table quickly went over and stopped the wine from spreading by placing her hand linen over the spill. 

As she started to pick up the large pieces of glass and place them on her drink tray the man looked her over. I turned back towards Kishan intending to continue what I was about to say but I was distracted by what I heard.

"You'rrr not bad." He slurred. "Wanna come to my room later? It'll be fun."

"I'm sorry sir," she said in a very professional tone, "I am already married."

"Che. You'rrr probably lyin like that B****." He was very loud making it hard to ignore him. 

"No sir, see I have a ring." I glanced back over as she was holding out her left hand.

"Che. Jus' bring me another glass then." As she left I was about to look away again when I noticed his gaze directed at me. I felt disgusted by his openly hungry look and promptly looked away. Unfortunately, it did not end there.

"You'rrr pretty," he practically yelled. I refused to look at him. Kishan across from me tensed as he looked in the man's direction. 

"Excuse me sir," I heard a male voice speak but I still refused to turn around as I sipped my drink. "I think you have had enough wine tonight. Perhaps you will feel better after a good nights sleep." I heard the sound of a chair violently being scrapped across the floor.

"Heyyyyy Pretty don' ignore me," the man slurred ignoring the voice. To my surprise Kishan suddenly stood and took a two steps to stand at my side just a little ways away. I looked up to see Kishan had stepped in front of the man who was apparently stumbling towards me. Kishan gripped the man's shoulder steadying him.

"I think it's time for you to leave sir," Kishan's tone was calm but firm. The drunk man squinted looking at Kishan's face for a moment before he violently shook off Kishan's hand. Of course because Kishan had been steadying him he almost fell over. 

"D*** it!" He swore as a waiter, probably the voice from before, caught him. The man brushed off his shoulder disgusted. "Don' dirty my cloths!" 

"Sir," came a deep bass voice from a man who quickly approached. He was a tall African American man and wore a chefs coat that had 'Head Chef' embroidered on the front. He was at least 6 1/2 feet tall and clearly worked out. "I'll have to ask you to stop bothering our other guests." 

I saw the waitress from before stood next to the kitchen doorway watching, along with a couple others. Apparently, she had asked him for help, and it was obvious why. Kishan stepped back behind me and placed a hand on the back of my chair.

The drunk man took an involuntary step back as he looked up at the Chef.

"An' what makes you fffhink I'll listen to you *****." 

My jaw dropped at the mans insult to the Head Chef's heritage. I was impressed with what happened next. Though the Chef stiffened he remained professional as he explained that if the man did not leave on his own hotel security, who was already on the way, would escort him out. 

The man refused and continued to insult the Head Chef, Kishan, everyone. He had the whole restaurant's attention. Less than a minute later hotel security came through the door that connected to the hotel that guests would use. As he was being pulled away he called me several insulting things as well for being with Kishan. 

Overall the incident only took about three minutes but it was impactful. The whole restaurant's ambiance had changed.

"Ahem," the jazz singer cleared his throat into the microphone regaining everyones attention. I had not noticed when they had stopped. 

"Now folks, there's no reason to allow this wonderful evening to be spoiled. The stars are out, the food is delicious and our loved ones are near. Not to mention the killer band." He added with perfect comedic timing, causing the crowd to chuckle. "This next one is my favorite. I hope y'all enjoy."

After Xiao Yan and Captain Sheng left, Zhang Zian continued to clean up the garbage in the shop. 
He was refreshing his mind of Xiao Yan's positive feedback of Captain Sheng, carefully thinking it over again. Initially, he thought that after this incident, he would not have any further interaction with Captain Sheng. That was why he didn't pay much attention to his appearance. 
Now, in his retrospect: Captain Sheng was somewhere in his late 30's to early 40's, in the prime of his life. Because of long-term implementation of outside tasks, his cheeks were tanned into a dark brown. But the clear shape of his face made him look serious. He probably needed a lot of alone time to think hard when handling cases; there was a heavy cigarette smell that exuded from his body. Those cigarettes were obviously not the high-grade ones. His hair was short and sharp, like steel needles, some of which had turned grey already. 
Zhang Zian did not know the captain's full name. Last night, Captain Sheng did show him his police officer card, but at that time, it was so dark, and he was not in the mood to pay attention to this detail. Anyway, he was not a fake policeman, that much was certain.
Cat trainer...
Zhang Zian just heard a little about it before, but knew nothing about it. If Captain Sheng really believed what he had said and came back to him for assistance in some cases in a few days, then he would continue to lie to him - but probably would not be found out. 
This animal crime was not uncommon in detective novels.
In the world's first true detective novel, "Moog Street Murder", written by Ellen Slope, the atmosphere was rendered horrific and weird: The victim's body comminuted intense fracturing, and then was forced into a chimney. What kind of human could have such power? After the final mystery was revealed, the killer was actually a reddish-brown orangutan.
It was unexpected but reasonable.
Reddish-brown orangutans' power and agile actions were superior to humans. Their strong upper arms could cling to your body and contraction of the muscles could break a human's entire sternum. Before one died of asphyxiation, his heart may be pierced by broken ribs.
The answer seemed to be too complicated, far-fetched and deliberately bizarre, but this was this type of detective novel with no coincidence, as no one would like to read boring novels.
Not only did Ellen Poe write animal novels, but many other famous detective novelists did too.  
The world's first detective, Sherlock Holmes, suffered a "Spotted Tape Case", in which the victim died within the Chamber of Secrets. The murderer was a British doctor that used to live in India and was a secret snake trainer. He used a whistle to guide a highly poisonous moorland viper to kill his stepdaughter.
In the waves led by these two detective novel masters, all kinds of animal killers debuted. There was nothing they could not imagine. Some of these stories, of course, sounded a little far-fetched, but no one could completely deny the possibility of their occurrence.
In these so-called suspicious cases, many of them were planned from the dead corner of human thinking.
Zhang Zian did not think that the captain would like to solve these types of suspicious cases. Honestly, although the captain was a very capable policeman, he was not qualified to solve these kind of cases, which existed in novels and theories.
Captain Sheng had probably confirmed, or at least suspected, that this might be an animal crime, but could not find the main suspect, so instead he showed great interest in Zhang Zian, calling him a cat trainer. 
Think of this, Zhang Zian suddenly shuddered.
The reddish-brown orangutan in "Moog Street Murder Case" would not become the common conception because of the faith of those detective fans, right? After all, this novel was the ancestor of detective novels, which seemed qualified enough...
At this point, his phone suddenly rang in a notification.
A sleeping Fina woke up and Old Time Tea, who was leisurely drinking its tea, looked up too. There was some kind of premonition in their hearts, like hearing the horn on the ancient battlefield, so they invariably looked towards the phone.
Zhang Zian picked up the phone and unlocked it.

"Welcome to our secret base. This place is so well hidden that even the administrators don't know that this place exists." Fan Ruyi dragged Mei Qingyang by hand and proudly showed her the room. The room was actually a hidden cave in the library building. They had to trigger a particular mechanism with certain books in the last shelf in the basement of the library to open up this place. It was all very detective like fancy stuff which was very fascinating to Qingyang. These are the things she had only read in novels. Even her foster father was unable to provide any facility like this.

"Damn, this is so cool!!" After hearing some sweet nothings from Fan Ruyi about being part of the group, Mei Qingyang had relaxed a lot. She still had her guard up and was observing everything very carefully. She still had to be suspicious of this girl's motives. She was the only one out of the group who cozied up with her almost instantly, without even properly meeting her. Others were probably still evaluating her. Even her own foster cousin, Su Lang, was wary of her, especially since she scandalized her that one time.

They were also trying to find out her source of communication with outside people. It was unfortunate that she could not talk directly to her dad, thanks to that boss of hers Yu Rong.

She looked around the place. It was further beneath the basement, thus did not have any windows. However, it was very well lit by lights and was equipped with modern modular kitchen and everything. There were around six bedrooms with their own bathrooms each.

Fan Ruyi proudly pronounced, "The library building was built from donation by my family. So, we sneaked in this space in the architecture of this building unbeknownst to anyone else in the school. The builders were also replaced by our own men; thus it was easy to get this one. We all need a breather space all the time, just to get away from the hustle bustle of our lives."

Mei Qingyang agreed. She could not fathom herself being in their shoes. 

"So, why would you bring me here, at your secret place, so nonchalantly?", Qingyang finally asked the pressing question in everyone's mind.

Fan Ruyi as well as people behind the two girls froze. Yeah, why would Fan Ruyi take such a big decision so suddenly? She scratched her head in embarrassment.

"Well, as I explained to you earlier, I have been a lone girl in this group since forever. I could really have one more girl, so that I can have girly talks with her.", she spoke in a low voice. "And I really liked you to be honest, for some reason, I sense a familiarity from you. So…."

"So, basically, any girl would have been good, as long as you liked them?", before Fan Ruyi could finish her sentence, Mei Qingyang interrupted her.

Listening to her accusation, Fan Ruyi became dumbfounded for a few seconds. Then she gave her a very mysterious smile and brushed her sentence off. "Come on, if we keep talking like this, who will tend to your wounds? Let's go to this room, it is not being used by anyone. Guys, you need to standby because I'm gonna take a look at her body and see what is going on.", she once again took Qingyang's hand in hers and dragged her to the corner most room. The guys behind became red from embarrassment after hearing Fan Ruyi's description. This… This unruly girl spewed just any non-sense. 

The empty room where Fan Ruyi took Mei Qingyang was very basic. It had a big bed with white sheets in the middle of the room. No decorations on the wall. There was a big bathroom with a jacuzzi inside. She was really astonished at how lavish even their secret base was. 

"Let me take a look.", Fan Ruyi sat her down on the white sofa nearby.

"Ugh, Ms. Fan, this will get dirty." Qingyang was reluctant to stain such a pristine cloth without even a speck of dust.

"Oh, come on Qingyang, can you stop with formalities? Can't you call me Ruyi like the boys? And don't worry about dirtying it. We can always replace it.", she forcefully sat her down once again and fetched a medicine box from nearby drawer. She then unbuttoned Qingyang's shirt to take a look at her bruises.

"Oh God! You have so many bruises!!" Fan Ruyi cried. She alarmed the boys outside who rushed into the room, without realizing that Fan Ruyi had forbidden them from coming in.

"What happened?" Su Lang worriedly asked.

The view before them shook them up. A petite Mei Qingyang was sitting on the grand sofa with only a tank top and shorts on. With meat at all the right places, she looked so seductive right now. But more flabbergasting was her body covered in black and purple bruises, some even bleeding. Even more surprising was her skin below her neck covered with marks.

"Are…. are these burn marks?"

What happens when two cold as ice people cross paths? Do they form Antarctica around them or do they melt each other's hearts? What made them like this in the first place? What secrets are hiding in their past lives?

Mei Qingyang has joined the elite school of M nation as a part-time worker and a student. However, she is here on behalf of Education Ministry of the country to uncover the dirty operations that are rumored to happen here on day to day basis. That is when she meets the cold and aloof Yu Tian, the heir to the owner of the school and one of the richest families in the country. 

But what is up with the gloomy demeanor of this guy? He was born into riches, he has everything he can have in this world. While his one glare can haunt anyone for life, just what is he so scared of? What kind of secrets is this school hiding?

"Will you leave me now that you know of my secret?", he looked into her eyes, just to get a hint of what she was thinking.

She took his right hand in hers and delicately wiped the blood from his wound. "You should understand one thing here, it was not your fault. There is no way my feelings will change for you after this. You are mine and will always be."

"That's my girl.", he beamed from ear to ear and kissed her forehead in his elation.

Ten minutes prior, when Invincible Champion was still alive, Feng Bujue was inside the cellar. Feng Bujue knocked on the coffin lid and said teasingly, "Hey, Miss Madeline, are you there?"
He did not expect a reply to come from inside the coffin because he knew that the coffin was supposed to be empty.
After finding the first stanza of The Haunted Palace, Feng Bujue had begun to suspect that the house was inspired by the House of Usher in the short story. When he arrived at the cellar and saw the coffin and the fifth stanza on the wall, his suspicion was confirmed.
Feng Bujue read many books, but that did not mean that he had a photographic memory. Other than the memories that were pushed out of his mind as trash, for the rest… like stories that he had once read, he could recover around seventy percent of the memory. To have the man stand there and recite all six stanzas of The Haunted House from pure memory was impossible. Therefore, he needed Xiao Tan and Brother Long to issue some words to jog his memory before the other two stanzas become more clarified in his mind.
Of course, Feng Bujue could remember the general plot of the short story quite clearly.
Many people knew of the name Edgar Allen Poe; he was the founder of detective novels. His 'The Murders in the Rue Morgue' was deemed as the first actual detective novel in modern literature, and he was the man who popularized the term detective novel when he published the story. But that was 1841, and The Fall of the House of Usher was written before that. It was a Gothic thriller story, and the whole passage was steeped in a dark, scary atmosphere.
The summary of the story was as well; it detailed the story of the main character's dead friend, Roderick Usher. Roderick's family suffered from a mysterious hereditary disease. The house that he lived in seemed to be tainted by some kind of weird curse as well. Over hundreds of years, the lineage of the Usher family had continued in spite of all these problems, passing from father to son. Soon, the original name of the house was forgotten, and the house itself was equated to the name of Usher. When people mentioned the House of Usher, they were referring to both the house and the family.
One day, Roderick wrote a letter to the main character, saying that he was going to die soon. He was tormented by his illness, swaying between the physical and hallucinatory realms. The mysterious power within the House of Usher destroyed his rationality, draining him of his life.
The main character came to visit his old friend, hoping that his visit would breathe some life into the ailing man. However, on the night of the main character's arrival, Roderick's little sister, Miss Madeline, 'died from an illness'.
She was the only family that Roderick had left in the world, his only companion for all these years. Miss Madeline had been sick from a young ages, and the doctors had announced that there was no treatment for the girl. However, she continued to fight the disease, spending most of her time in bed. The curious depression and collapse of Roderick's mental state was mostly due to her condition.
Before Roderick died, he made a request. He wanted them to find a cellar to store his sister's body for fourteen days. The main character personally helped to fulfill his friend's dying wish. He placed Miss Madeline inside the coffin and placed her down in the cellar, but no one knew that she was actually still alive.
After eight days, the distraught Roderick fell into madness. That night, the main character came across the scary-looking Miss Madeline roaming the house, and she scared her big brother to death before finally dying. After the main character escaped from the House of Usher, he saw the house crumble into the pond next to it with his own eyes.
There were many 'unscientific' plot points in the story. For example, how could no one realize that Madeline was still alive when she was placed inside the coffin? How could a woman who subsisted on nothing inside the coffin for eight days have the energy to crawl back into the house? Why did the house collapse? Was it due to an earthquake or explosion?
But the readers in the 19th century would not have had questions like that. It was not until the end of 20th century when 'criticism' became an actual professional career, especially in the field of literature where Poe's works were questioned. If Poe was alive in the 21st century, any 'professor' who dared to call himself a critic would have some choice words for this famed author. Let's not dwell on this subject; it's about time we got back to the story.
Based on the plot of the story, the coffin had to be empty. Whether the spirit that Feng Bujue saw in the tunnel was Madeline's spirit or not, her body was not going to be inside the cellar but inside the house.
Feng Bujue pushed open the coffin, and it was empty, devoid of a dead body. He waved away the dust that flew all over the place and shone the flashlight inside the coffin. On the board inside the coffin near the head, he soon discovered that a small row of letters had been carved. It looked like it had slowly been gouged out using one's fingers.
It read "he knows" without any punctuation, and the letters were toppled all over. Placing himself in her shoes… there was no light inside the coffin, and Madeline would not have known whether her handwriting was neat or not. Furthermore, she had to maintain a fixed posture to carve those words, so the fact that it was legible was already a miracle.
"Hidden quest triggered." When Feng Bujue heard the system, he immediately opened the menu and saw a window floating at the forefront. "The hidden quest in the scenario will provide you with considerable rewards, but the difficulty for discovering and completing the hidden quest will be much harder than the main and side quest.
"The system hints related to the hidden mission, including the voices and words in the game menu, are only viewable to the player who triggered the hidden quest. If the hidden quest is triggered within the company of many players, then all the present players will gain the update to said quest. But hidden quest cannot be shared. While the player with the hidden quest can share the information with other players, and the other players can obtain the quest details and progress in their menu, it will not be counted as accepting the quest, and they are unable receive any rewards from completing the quest.
"Above is the information provided when the player triggers a hidden quest for the first time. If you have any more questions, feel free to look through the game manual."
"In other words… finders keepers," Feng Bujue murmured to himself. He closed the window and glanced at the quest. "Rescue Miss Madeline's soul."
"Oh… What is this?" He had a brief idea of the scenario and its plot, but the main problem was, how was he going to escape from this cellar?
He raised the flashlight again and made a closer investigation of his surroundings, but he found nothing. He turned his gaze back to the coffin. Other than the sentence and other scratch marks left on the wood, there was nothing worthwhile.
Feng Bujue leaned the flashlight against the wall of the coffin, pointing the side that gave off the light upward. Then he bent down to pick up the heavy coffin lid and lean it against the wall. He looked on both of its sides, but there was nothing special about it.
Wait a minute… Feng Bujue suddenly stopped moving and thought, The person inside the coffin should have been facing up, and technically speaking it, is more convenient for the person to carve on the coffin lid. Even if she was worried that someone might overlook the carving on the lid, so she decided to carve it on the coffin itself, why isn't there any sign of a struggle on this lid? There are signs of kicks and scratches on the coffin itself, but the coffin lid looks brand new.
Feng Bujue grabbed the flashlight and shone it on the lid leaning against the wall. He squatted down and focused his sight on this wooden board.
"Hmm…" He knocked on it again. The lid produced a sturdy sound of wood; it did not sound like it was hollow.
Then, Feng Bujue made a very daring decision. He raised the lid and slid it over the coffin, closing it two thirds of the way. Then he climbed into the box. He used his hands to move the lid close from within. Lying inside, he did not feel that comfortable, not because of any psychological effect but because the wooden boards were extremely hard. It felt like he was lying on top of a hard, wooden floor.
Feng Bujue placed himself in the position of Miss Madeline. He shone the flashlight at the lid and then said, "How did you get out of here?"
Then, he raised one of his hands to push at the lid. To his surprise, the lid would not budge.
"Oh?" Feng Bujue was shocked. He placed the flashlight next to his head and used all his limbs to push. He even kicked at it several times, but the lid simply would not budge. After some struggling, just as he wanted to take a breather, on the coffin lid, the piece of wood that was facing him suddenly bulged forward and slowly morphed into the shape of a human face.
The gender of the face was hard to tell, and its voice was like that of an old witch. It told Feng Bujue, "Dying man, do you want to leave here?"
"Yes," Feng Bujue replied. He did want to see what kind of tricks this coffin monster could be up to.
"What can you give me?" the coffin lid asked.
Then the system audio sounded. "You can sacrifice a piece of equipment that is of normal quality or higher to have the monster teleport you out of the cellar."
Oh… So, I 'can' sacrifice, is it? Feng Bujue thought. In other words, I can choose not to sacrifice. That must be right… Because if the player doesn't have any appropriate equipment, then would they be trapped here forever? That doesn't seem likely… there has to be another exit.
"Coffin, I have nothing to give you," Feng Bujue said. The face suddenly underwent a drastic change; the lips and eyes peeled open, and the face turned scary. If this was a normal person, they would have been scared, but in reality, it was merely a human face floating on a wooden board; it was unable to attack the people lying inside the coffin. At most, it could only scare them, which would not work on Feng Bujue.
"Then you'll be trapped here forever, before wasting away in fear and hunger. Even when your nails are bloody from the scratches, even when your knees and ankles are cracked from the kicks, you'll never be able to…"
Feng Bujue removed the M1911A1 pistol from his backpack and switched the safety lock off.
"Let me introduce you to a friend of mine…" Feng Bujue aimed the barrel at the space between the face's brows. "It's a little thing that was made after the second industrial revolution."
"The damage caused by the weapon in your hand is not enough for you to escape. One or two small wounds is nothing," the lid replied.
"I know you can change and recover, but what about the coffin boards next to me, above my head, and underneath me?" Feng Bujue asked.
The face on the lid laughed, and at the same time, the carved handwriting near Feng Bujue's head and the surrounding scratch marks disappeared. "What about them?"
"Oh… So that's it. Since the quest has been received and the secret of the coffin has been discovered, the hints of the scratch marks can be removed," Feng Bujue said as he put the gun away.
"Now, have you changed your mind?" the lid said again. "You can give me the weapon you were holding earlier, and I'll let you out immediately."
Feng Bujue pulled out the kitchen knife and Mario's Wrench without stopping to take a breath. "Now you have two choices, one is to teleport me back into the house and end this happy conversation."
He raised his arm to left a deep cut on the coffin board. "Or two, I will cut you up into pieces and feed you into the oven."
Several seconds later, Feng Bujue successfully reappeared inside the house, but he was not back in the living room where he disappeared from but in a corridor. There was a painting on the wall next to him, but the painting was not of an underground tunnel but a twisted and ugly human face.
He did not stop to waste his time. He checked his Life Points, which were still full, and Stamina Points, which were high and continued his exploration.
 


This is a game beyond dimension–the pursuit of truth.
