The entrance led straight to the village square, Rastel saw different races of humans, dwarves, beastmen, elves and even a few draconians, but mostly humans, there were a lot of humans.
The square also served as a market place as many people were going about buying and selling with stalls set up. Among the populace, he could recognize the players by the green arrow suspended above their heads. Players accounted for a substantial amount of the village's population.
The first thing he needed was spells. The system did not give anything other than the money and dagger, no skills were given to players, and he had to get those for himself.
The system allowed you to gain skills by learning from a school or you could create skills for yourself by gaining enlighten1ment and practicing moves. There were no skill points to upgrade skills. The level and power of your skills depended entirely on your proficiency with it, how much you use it and your base stats.
Although there were no skill points, there were stat points with 3 points given for every level up, with the basic stats being; Strength, Dexterity, Agility, Mentality, intelligence and Stamina. There were also minor stats such as mana and physical resistance, poison resistance etc. Those are affected by the base stats and any extra effort the player put into developing them.
Rastel pulled up his profile by swiping down the right side of his vision. His level, basic stats and skills were shown.

He sighed when he saw it, muan's basic strength really is incredibly weak. 3 strength? What the heck was that!? That's the strength of a normal human child! He swiped up the screen and moved into the crowd to look for a library. The best and easiest way for him to get skills was by reading books.
A player found out about this hack about three months into the game's release. As long as you finished a book on some particular skill, you automatically learn it. The only set back was that it had to be an easy basic skill.
The player also found out something a little bit special. Muan characters could increase their intelligence and mentality stat through reading books! It was an ability exclusively given to muans, just like how elves had affinity to magic or human races had bloodline powers.
Although it sounded easy, most players disregarded it because they felt it was a waste of time. They would rather find instructors to teach them or figure it out themselves as it was more fun. Besides who could sit down in a library reading books when there were adventures to be had? They weren't a lot of muan players anyway.
But to people like Rastel who loved books, it was very convenient. It was even one of the major reasons why he chose the class in the first place.
As he moved through the crowd, he was able to appreciate the game more, everything was so real! He also felt the rarity of the muan race as he only saw about two or three muans with none been NPC's (none player characters).
He walked around for about thirty minutes but still couldn't find the library. He sat down on a wooden box near an alley tired.
"Why is it so hard to find the library in this village!" he cried.
"Are you lost mister?" a tiny voice sounded beside him.
"Eh, who's there?" he looked around.
A girl beastman came out from behind one of the boxes and looked at him inquisitively with wide eyes.
"Are you looking for the library?" she asked.
Rastel looked at her, she had long blonde hair and feline ears and round yellow eyes. A long brown tail came out of her back and she was dressed in a plain black dress.
He smiled at her, "Yeah, can you tell me where it is?"
She pointed to the building right across the road. It was medium sized and had a diagram of a book in front of it.
"It's right there", she said laughing.
He turned around to look at her sheepishly scratching the back of his head.
"Ha....haha, I didn't see it since I was so tired I guess"
"You are funny mister" she laughed at him again.
"Thanks girl, what's your name by the way?" he asked.
"Lou" she said smiling.
"Alright Lou, thanks for the directions, here's five kryts to get yourself something" he took out five kryts from his pouch and gave it to her.
"Thanks" she said as she took the money and disappeared down the alley.
He watched her go before crossing the road and entering the library.
It was really small for a library, there were about fifteen big shelves, and three small ones by the librarian's counter which were probably for special books. The shelves were arranged around the walls leaving the middle open to be used as a reading area. Tables and chairs filled this spot.
There were only two people there, an old dark skinned human man with a pretty girl with light brown skin who looked around 16 sitting at a table. They both had green arrows suspended above them showing they were players.
Rastel walked to the librarian, a middle-aged elf woman with glasses to ask about the library. He had to admit, elves really were beautiful. Even at that age the librarian still looked attractively charming, although he was not really sure what her age was. Elves aged slowly.
"I'd like to use the library" he said smiling.
The librarian smiled back revealing a perfect set of teeth as she answered, "No problem, it's free. You would have to pay an amount of 15 kryts if you want to borrow a book though"
"No need, I'm just reading" he said and went to the first shelf.
He looked at all the books there then sighed, this was going take a long time. He took the first ten books on the shelf and went to a table opposite the old man and the girl. The man raised his head from the book he was reading to look at him, he smiled at him and nodded. He nodded back then sat down. The girl kept on reading, too concentrated to pay attention to her surroundings.
For the next 1 week in game, Rastel only read books in the library once he logged in. This accounted for about 3 days in the normal world, time ran 3 times faster in the game. He spent all his money buying bread to keep his Hp up as he read, it was possible to die from starvation. He finished the books in the library shelve after shelve gaining multiple skills as he went.
Magic, mining, herb gathering, forgery, he gained basic proficiency in a lot of skills. There were so many notifications for learnt skills he grew numb to the "PING!" sound that accompanied each one. The old man and the girl were also there throughout the time reading, it seemed like they also wanted to finish the books there.
Rastel was a fast reader and finished all the books within the week. By that time, the old man and girl were barely finished. He was already familiar with them and greeted them as he dropped of the last books on the shelf.
"Old man, it seems I'll be leaving you here"
"Indeed, you're quite the fast reader" the man said laughing.
The girl looked up at him then smiled shyly, she went back to the book afterwards.
"I'll be on my way then, take care of yourself old man" he waved as he left.
"You too young lad, we'll meet again if we're fated". The old man called out.
Rastel said goodbye to the librarian too as he left. They had grown friendlier as he continuously visited to the library.
He stepped outside and felt the sun on his face. It was time for him to start his adventures for real.
Reading all the books in the library gave him 30 points to his intelligence and 23 to his mentality. For a mage, this was the best since his attack power would greatly increase and so would his mana.
He found his way to the village gates, it was time to go hunting. He was down to 4 kryts, a pitiful amount, and needed to make more money and also increase his level.
He was still at level 0 after all this while.

There's nothing to write about at the end. The protagonist Chen Jin has become invincible. No matter what villain appears, the protagonist can easily get things under control.
If I continue to muddle along, that would be cheating your money. This book should have been over a long time ago.
I apologize to all readers for letting you down.
As early as the beginning of the book, I had a strong premonition that the book would collapse towards the end. It was not bad that I maintained the chapters until the word count reached the millions. This is the common problem of stories with an invincible protagonist. The story is invigorating and pleasant in the beginning, and the readers like it, but later on, the aesthetics of the story become exhausting, and the author can't spin the story anymore. It could only end hastily.
Of course, I also have some gains and insights.
First of all, after writing the book "A Simulated Life In The City," the pace at which I had written the other books that followed had been fast. Perhaps its because I've become more practiced at writing outlines in an endless stream and that my brain circuit has become "fixed." Time passes very quickly, resulting in a lack of details in which only the main framework has no details. The ups and downs, the twists and turns were not large, and the collapse came faster.
This is my flaw, a flaw that must be overcome, I need to walk out from the habit of writing outlines at a rapid pace continuously. Otherwise, my books will fail, one by one.
I haven't coded much in the past few months. I've been watching animation and reading novels most of the time.
I've watched at least 100 animation series and read 400 or 500 novels. Of course, the animation series were viewed at double the speed and the novels were speed read. This was just to speed up efficiency and to learn more useful things.
This is probably also a kind of learning.

Translator Review:
This is a novel encompassed with mystery, ethics, family ties, and romance. Of course, the highlights of this book are the murder cases. 
Although it’s a modern setup where none of the characters have a system or any other cheats, the Author managed to delight me with her writing, creative plots and a good pace without dragging her story. 
I marvel at the way the Author links up the clues and plot to explain the individual cases as well as paving the way to unravel the huge conspiracy behind the individual murders. Romantic plots are light-hearted so readers could take a breather from the plots of gruesome murders.

Jiang Cheng's father, Jiang Dejun, was a very traditional man especially when it came to his work. He always considered himself a traditional scholar and held himself to old traditional ideas. 

So when Jiang Cheng applied to Shanghai Drama Academy, although Jiang Dejun eventually nodded his agreement, he still held some reservations.

Jiang Dejun had always wanted Jiang Cheng to inherit his so-called traditional culture and ideas, so he always wanted him to become something along the lines of a literary major or a history major, he didn't expect Jiang Cheng to choose the performing arts.

He had always held a biased opinion against actors and the entertainment industry and though acting was considered part of the arts he viewed it as something of lower rank. 

In the past, Jiang Cheng always wanted to prove to his father that even if he became an actor in the future, he wouldn't forget the culture, traditions, and ideas inherited from Chinese civilization and would instead strive to promote them.

The old Jiang Cheng thought of writing a book. He thought if he could write a book that could gain Jiang Dejun's admiration and respect, he would have no objections.

It was a pity that although he was very smart and held outstanding academic achievements since childhood, engaging in book publishing and editing work since childhood, his fondness of literature and writing alone wasn't enough when it actually came down to it.

Writing a book was very difficult.

After all, writing one wasn't just writing whatever came to mind but the long-term accumulation of skill and writing material.

Therefore, although the original Jiang Cheng always held such an idea it unfortunately never came to fruition.

But there was no such problem now. Jiang Cheng had a lifetime of memories and experiences. Not to mention Jiang Cheng himself was a screenwriter, a master of storytelling. In his memories there were a huge number of best-selling books, more than a decade's worth. 

However, considering his current age and identity, Jiang Cheng decided to plagiarize the future historical book: 'Stories About The Ming Dynasty' that would become popular in the south and the north.

In the past, when it came to history, the first thing people thought of was the rigid records of history textbooks. Rarely did anyone except those studying the subject deliberately consult those history books. It was because the books were truly unsightly!

Except for those without much choice or the truly enthusiastic no one else would be willing to troll through thick chunks of information filled with nothing but facts and dates. 

But the emergence of "Stories About The Ming Dynasty" had broken those previous conventions, letting people realize for the first time that history could be written like this.

Although it delivered the same information, the writing method used by the author was different. It was a kind of fresh brushwork full of vitality, the characters seemed like they were all about to jump out of the book.

With his pen, the historical figures were no longer rigid names you had to memorize for an exam but real people. As the Ming Dynasty experienced its ups and downs, you couldn't stop reading. 

True to the opening words of the book: [History should be fun to read]. The author did his best to make learning about the Ming Dynasty enjoyable.

As a screenwriter, Jiang Cheng knew that the success of a good book was one that allowed the reader to have a strong sense of substitution when reading it. If there was a sense of substitution, the reader would unconsciously fall into the world of the book and would read on not wanting to stop; on the contrary, if there was no sense of substitution, the reader would just place the book down and move on.

Undoubtedly, the previous rigid history books wouldn't give anyone a sense of substitution. 

Especially now so, as technology developed and people became less and less interested in researching the past and reading ancient texts. With less and less need in real life, there were fewer and fewer people who studied history.

"Stories About The Ming Dynasty" was different. The author Mingyue used humorous language to narrate those historical events like they were telling a story. The historical characters were given humanity and character, this made them feel more like humans with flesh and blood, people that had actually lived once upon a time. 

The reader discovered over time that the emperors and princes in history too were ordinary people, they too had joys and sorrows, as well as worries and fears. As if passing through space and time, the reader felt a strong resonance and those historical figures and historical events seemed to be within reach.

This book successfully increased interest in history. Showing that history wasn't something only for professors but something that everyone could touch.

Therefore, writing this book could not only cope with Jiang Dejun's complaints, but also indirectly ignite his fame, killing two birds with one stone, especially since he was most in need of fame now, why not?

Getting excited as he thought of his plan, Jiang Cheng immediately acted.

First of all, he found lots of books about the Ming Dynasty. After all, it was a thing of his previous life. Jiang Cheng's memory of the book was only an approximation, he only remembered the language style, as well as the overarching plot. 

Moreover, Jiang Cheng didn't intend to copy Mingyue word for word, it would only be a loose frame, he wanted to write something that was his own.

Fortunately, his father had a plethora of history books if nothing else.

After selecting a couple of relevant ones, Jiang Cheng turned on the desktop again and opened up Word.

The first input was a huge title- [Stories About The Ming Dynasty]

Then the famous sentence under the title: [History should be fun to read] 

The title of the first chapter "Emperor Hongwu" followed and as the story of the legendary emperor Zhu Zhongba slowly unfolded, the book also began to take shape little by little....

Jiang Cheng a screenwriter is reincarnated to 2001, into the seventeen-year-old body of another Jiang Cheng. 

Clutching onto the dreams of his previous life he attempts to succeed where he previously failed. 

He starts from scratch, as a small-time screenwriter writing television shows and movie scripts. 

Filled with dreams of becoming a generational  entertainment legend and establishing an entertainment empire he takes the road to become the King of Film.

So I would like to address the state of the book now and going forwards, just so everything is in the clear and people know what to expect going forwards. 

Currently I'm only writing this book as something to do when I have a few minutes to myself before or after work and as such I'm writing it for me rather than you the reader. I consider this my story and will not be changing anything I decide to add to it, no matter the pressure put on me by the reader.  For example I could kill your favourite character and they would stay dead (Unless the plot originally had them survive, e.g hidden power), it would suck but like I said, it is my narrative. 

There will be polls  and a auxiliary chapter so you can make your own characters and that will allow you guys to influence the story however for the time being that sort of thing will be the only the reader can influence it. 

Another thing I'm going to address now is the release rate for the book, as previously stated this book is something for me to do after work and I do not really expect it to get big enough to provide me with any money (E.g Patr eon.) so releases will stay scattered while I work to get enough money to live on. 

Finally I would like to discuss criticisms or improvements you would like to see in the book, I will be adding an Auxiliary chapter where you guys can comment what you would like to see worked on or more of added in the future. I know there isn't a lot of chapters out to judge right now however it is easy to get this stuff set up before the book gets any bigger. I ask that only constructive criticism be placed in the chapter as being a dick about things doesn't really help, all it does is waste both of our time. 

Ok so this is statement or whatever you would like to call it is done, I wanted to let  this out so people who do not like the stuff mentioned above can abandon ship before more chapters are released.

Rewrite of DanMachi: The rise of Death.

this chapter is specifically for notes about reader, about this book, and background knowledge on scp's if needed by the reader. my descriptions on the scp's are short, just having the necessary information. if you want the full descriptions, find them on the scp foundation's website. 

notes and stuff that readers need to read for background will be lowercase and the actual story will be normal. [REDACTED] chapters are author's notes or chapters not related to the book.

in case some don't know, a thaumiel in the scp foundation is an scp that assists in keeping other scp's locked away or help learn more about an scp thanks to their abilities. 

reader will always be referred to as scp-1768, the original scp-1768 being a crack scp, literally. the original scp is a trope on the whole "step on a crack, and you break your mother's back" thing. what type of scp the reader is (safe, euclid, keter, or just thaumiel) will depend on the chapter.

in certain chapters, the reader might be a doctor or a guard or a random human for story purposes, and i will specify which chapters those are. 

some scp's will be a platonic love and other's might be romantic love, it depends on the scp and logically if a romantic relationship could happen with the scp.

also with certain scp's, the love will not always be a good and healthy love. there will be topics like obsession, abuse, stalking and things that pertain the yandere trope. some chapters will include dark topics like murder, ****, suicide and other things bad. i will put a warning on the chapter and what it will include, but it is up to you to not read those if they could trigger you.

some chapters may have a title. for instance, 073's oneshot has a title, "His Touch". it's based on the theme of what his touch feels like for the reader, and not in a sexual way, jesus people. like how his touch is scary, then it's comforting. that type of thing. most won't have titles unless they have an actual plot to it.

you have a fascination with abandoned places and demons, and your brother had just happened upon an abandoned above-ground bunker with a history of demons. so you go exploring, intrigued by the demonic stories.

but you accidentally set free two demons locked away in this abandoned bunker. one seemed to take a liking to you, and the demon was nice to you.

you were a naive little one, awfully sympathetic to the demon that was locked away for many years. maybe you liked him? time would tell.

Uhhh.... This won't be much of a chapter but this is where I set the ground rules and everything. It's not optional to read it but this is just me putting out a disclaimer about how I operate. 

First thing to know is that I'm still a student so I will have problems trying to consistently release chapters so uhhh I suggest that maybe you wait until I complete volume 1 before reading otherwise you'll probably beat your head against the wall in frustration.( hah haven't even started writing and already shamelessly saying that this will be a good novel) I'll aim for a release rate of 15 chapters per month but I'm not sure if that's gonna happen but I'll try 

Uh second thing to note is that anyone planning to write a book is free to borrow ideas from my novel if that helps. The reason why I have written this novel is cause of the amount of shitty novels floating around in this website so I aim to make this the best I can produce and if you are going to borrow my ideas you have at least try to make it a good novel I don't want my ideas to be used badly making them trash so if you gonna use my ideas make it a good novel if you're not going to use my ideas make it a good novel. To anyone wanting to write a novel I sincerely wish you luck and please don't make it premium. It sucks how all the good novels have to be paid for. 


Third is that I hope that the ones commenting will be respectful and blah blah blah. If you all are reading such novels I'm assuming you guys are mature. Don't turn the comments section into your personal battle ground. While you are welcome to criticise my work please don't go overboard. Suggestions on the story are also welcomed.

Last one I promise. This will be a list of promises I wish to keep and something I hope you reader will hold me accountable for. 

1. Never turn this book into a premium pay to read book. While early releases may be charged ,the basic rate of 15 chapters ( no promises but it will probably increase) per month will be free of charge 

2. Never give this book up. Even if turns out shitty I will never stop stop this book half way. If this book turns out to be bad give me suggestions on how to improve it. I promise that I will finish this book.

3. Well.... since I've made two promises it's only fair that you give me one promise. I hope that you as a reader can be what I call a good reader. This is my first novel, just giving writing a try. Updates may be inconsistent but if this book makes it big I will never put it on premium. The only reason why I’m writing a novel now is because I’m frustrated with the amount of good premium-less novels. So uh gonna give writing a try. After a surprisingly uneventful morning during which Nevaeh and Loki mostly kept watch on the sea because she expected more unusual events while Loki pretended to do the same, and a normal lunch, they sat on the terrace's chairs under the shade to guard it some more, just in case the fire demon decided to turn up.
   'Maybe it surfed to some different state,' Loki theorized.
   'Do you think we should try and track it? I doubt every state has their own witch to protect them,' Nevaeh said.
   'Stop being such a Samaritan,' Loki yawned. 'Nothing is more annoying.'
   'Think about the fishes, Loki!' Nevaeh snapped. 'What would happen if they get frozen? Those defenseless little creatures!'
   'Look who is suddenly concerned about the fishes,' Loki mocked. 'At least the frosty fire demon would freeze them prior to setting them on fire. Now, that would be a mercy, they wouldn't feel a thing when frozen. You are worse! You wanted to barbeque the aquarium lot right away!'
   'Who told you that?' Nevaeh's cheeks were burning red. 'Shut up.'
   'Your father did,' he sniggered. 'And you shut up. You are boring me to death. I'm going to my room.' Loki got up to head downstairs. Nevaeh instinctively grabbed his wrist and was about to retort, when suddenly she paused.
   'Are you okay?' Loki analyzed her. She was staring at him with an almost blank expression on her face. 
   Nevaeh let go off his wrist as though she'd touched a hot pan. 'Sit down, Loki.' 
   'What's going on with you? Why are you making that face?' asked a confused and a little scared Loki. This was the first time she'd touched him anywhere near his hand, and the resultant factor wasn't looking good.
   'I – I saw something,' she said. 'It was weird.'
   'You saw me, because I'm standing in front of you,' Loki waved at her. 'That's not weird.'
   'I saw ice,' she said.
   'You saw what?' Loki's eyes couldn't help but widen a fraction.
   'Why are you making that face?' she asked suspiciously.
   Loki sat himself down. 'Don't worry about me. You don't look good. What's going on?'
   'I should ask you the same thing!' Nevaeh got up. 'Why did I see ice when I touched you?' 
   'How would I know?' Loki asked in a high pitched voice. 'It's your mind!'
   Nevaeh sat down again, dragging her chair a little to the left to face him. 'Look, I know we have been with each other constantly since we met, and I trust you, Loki,' she paused and watched him nod. 'These visions, they are extremely rare. It has been years since I've had one when I touched someone. So, I have to ask. Is there anything you are hiding from me?'
   Loki waited for her to frame her question differently, but she didn't. 'Am I hiding something? What would I even hide? I haven't left your sight since we met!'
   'I know! I know!' Nevaeh said quickly, trying hard not to sound accusatory. 'I am not saying that you are, but I am still asking! So, I need you to be honest.'
   'I am always honest,' Loki said, rising his chin up. 
   'I'm sure you are,' she said.
   'Look, it's not like it's possible to fit our entire lives worth of events into a week's conversation!' Loki said. 'I might've left out a thing or two, but nothing on purpose!'
   'I am not asking if you've told me absolutely everything about yourself, because I know you haven't. Heck, I don't even know your last name—'
   'People on Asgard don't have last names,' Loki lied instantly. 'We are all one species. We are all Asgardians.'
   'Oh, that's nice—'
   'Next question,' Loki said loudly, interrupting her.
   'Why are you yelling?' Nevaeh said.
   'No, I just want to get this interrogation over with. Next question, please,' Loki said coldly.
   'Please don't get upset,' Nevaeh said quietly. 'I have only one question, Loki. I'm not interrogating you. Have you left out anything relevant? Anything I need to know?'
   Loki opened his mouth to instinctively lie, but closed it again. Could he just tell her? Exactly how long was he going to keep up his charade? This clearly didn't look like the right time to come clean! He needed to figure out what he was going to do before getting sucked up in some moment like this one! 'I have not, Nevaeh. My life isn't remotely as interesting or as happy as yours. Take a hint why I don't like to talk about it.'
   'Loki, forget I said anything,' Nevaeh said. 'But we can turn it around, you know? I can make your life exciting! Why don't we plan something different for tonight? Joe is coming over within an hour! Let's get out of the house and go somewhere! Do something fun! We can shop in the evening! Or—'
   'Later, sure,' Loki got up from his chair. 'But I have had enough excitement for the moment.'
   He left the terrace, leaving behind a crestfallen Nevaeh who cursed her stupid vision. She hated this. Loki had been nothing but polite to her and she had to ruin the day. Did she ever pause to think that he was just preoccupied with ice because the beach next to his place of residence on an alien planet just froze over and then was lit on fire? And he was just too haughty to admit that he was scared? Or any other reason, for that matter? 
   She felt like having a drink. Moments later, a juice box hovered till the terrace and halted in front of her. She began sipping, never taking her eyes off the sea and patrolling it as if it were her solemn duty. 
   Loki was beyond agitated; first the opened book and now this vision. He doubted he could keep up with his lies any longer. Whipping out the book on Norse myths that Grace had so graciously provided, Loki decided it was time for some light reading. He wasn't unaware of the depictions of the Aesir by the hands of mortals, and he was sure he had read them sometime in the past, being an avid reader himself.
   The book had vivid imagery; colourful depictions of Aesir gods, detailed information regarding Yggdrasil, the bi-frost, the einerjhars. Most of the myths were fairly accurate. Truth be told, Loki was getting a tad homesick after reading the book, till he came across his own page. 
   Loki turned red with anger.
   Even in mythology, Loki had been portrayed as Odin's puppet, often kicked around by other gods and never taken seriously. His connections are linked with the Frost Giants against frequent attacks on Asgard. Loki found it annoyingly misleading; since he was a kid, he had dreamt of nothing more than ruling Asgard and defeating the Frost Giants – till he had found out that he was one of those monsters. Odin had led him to believe that he was his son, an Asgardian, all the while hiding his true identity of being a Frost Giant, evoking hatred in his mind for his own species and yet preferring Thor over him every single time due to his race. 
   Loki's blood was boiling. All the other depictions; Frigga, Thor, Odin, Heimdall, even the Warriors three, everyone were praised and worshipped. Except Loki who was depicted as a monster who seeks nothing but tragedy for the other gods.
   As he turned the page to read the final paragraph, silently inflicting more pain upon himself, Loki stifled a cry. His head began to burn. Clasping a palm over his forehead, he refused to take his eyes off the words etched in front of him. For some reason, his brain was fighting to avoid the information he was soaking in, but his will to know was stronger.
   Ignoring the incessant throbbing in his head, somehow the pain in his heart grew to a bigger extent as he read the way he ended up; trapped in a cave for an eternity, bound to rocks, with a serpent dripping poison on his body. Loki turned raging. His tearful eyes widened with horror as he saw the person who had trapped him in such a brutal prison; Odin, the god of war and death, who led the other Aesirs in binding the god of mischief.
   No sooner had he finished reading, than Loki slid to the floor in pain, his eyes tightly shut. He was remembering things; things of which he had no memory till now. The image of his mother flashed in his mind, embracing a crying Loki, who knows how many centuries ago. Then the pain came to an abrupt stop, leaving him sharply breathing in rage, his entire body trembling with disbelief. 'Oh, mother. What did you do?' he croaked. 'What ancient hell is this?'
