Within a dark forest filled with a black mist. There could be seen a silhouette of a man in a cloak standing on a very complex magic circle.

The man is holding a book in his right hand. While his left hand is stretching out while holding a blood colored crystal.

The fist sized crystal let out a dazzling light as the man mumbled something under his cloak.

"Ye o accursed being. Hear my voice! Obey me! Kneel before me! And submit!"

As the man keep chanting. The blood colored crystal shined even brighter and brighter.

When the crystal shined as bright as the sun in the sky. The complex magic circle under the cloaked man started to glow.

The magic circle let out a strange lightning like sound while giving off a blinding red light.

When the blinding light from the crystal and the magic circle started to died down. In front of the cloaked man, there could be seen a silhouette of a person kneeling.

From there, an alluring and bell like voice of a woman resounded in the silent and gloomy forest.

"... Which bastard dare to Summon this Lady when she's batting?!"

Jason, Elite Class 1, Monsoon Genius Academy.
"Okay Students, for the sake of our new student, I'm going to go over the basics of this class again. So this is going to be a very long class" He announced. The students were obviously displeased but they dare not grumble.
"Luica, What is Metheron?" The son of the city Alpha stood up and answered immediately. 
"it's the building block for condensation and absorption and a source of energy from the planet"
"Good. How many types of Metheron do we have?" 
"We have various types. Light energy Metheron, dark energy Metheron, nature energy Metheron, life energy Metheron, evil energy Metheron, static energy Metheron to name a few" he answered again, making the teacher nod at him.
"Excellent. You may sit down" the young Werie had his seat, grinning wildly.
"The planet is full of Metheron and it is located everywhere, even in the core. How we absorb this energy depends on two factors. Our patron judges and our body constitution.
We first absorb this energy then we condense it and distribute it equally in our body to nourish it.
We have different types of condensation levels and the highest level is currently unknown. The Metheron absorbed can be used for different purposes of strengthening our bodies and defending ourselves with the various condensation techniques we have.
With that being said, let's open our textbook to page 107 of condensation techniques to the most basic forms....." The man continued teaching while Josephine was still sleeping.
The class went on for two hours until it was time for a lunch break. The Sovereign Lord gathered his things and flew out of the class, the students following after. Jason closed his textbook and notebook and proceeded to wake Josephine.
"Hey, Josephine, wake up, it's time for lunch" he shook her gently. That mild action still annoyed her. 
"I know, stop rocking me" She said, flicking him a glare and reverting to her 12-year-old form. She stretched and stood from her seat.

"Let's go" she said and he nodded. She led him to the cafeteria which looked more like a royal banquet. The cafeteria was extravagantly decorated though not as much as the palace's dining room.
The meals were displayed in a buffet format with students lining up with trays. The students from the Elite Classes got the special service of their food being served to them.
Josephine took his hand and led him to a table reserved for them. After they sat, she snapped her fingers, and rows of food appeared before them. Jason looked at her in awe.
"How do you always do that?" 
"Formless space ring. It can store up to a thousand items without them colliding with each other or spoiling. It's connected to my consciousness so I can bring out things at will" She replied, showing him a black diamond ring.
"Awesome" he complimented smiling. She smiled back and started eating. He joined her soon. They both ate soundlessly and elegantly. They both attracted attention from all over the cafe as everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at them. Jason obviously felt nervous but Josephine totally disregarded them.
Not long after, a group of students approached the table, led by Luica, the City Alpha's son. Luica first bowed then his entourage followed after.
"Greetings to Aunt Josephine and Lord Jason" he said smiling. He grew up with the escorts and Alpha Queen so he felt like he was an important person. He even had a planned engagement between him and Xunia if she hadn't found her mate when he turned 20.
Everyone was naturally shocked when they saw him calling the 12-year-old Aunt. Most of them had heard of the Alpha Queen's mate but had never met him before. Luica was the most influential Werie in the Academy so if he was bowing to the strange youths, that means they were not ordinary.
"Luica, it's you? Oh my young boy, you grew up well" 
"Ah, thank you Aunt for the compliment" He said blushing. It was obvious he enjoyed being complimented.
He had a smug expression. There was no way a thrashy Werie from a slum pack would be able to contend with him who had a strong backer and history with the Dixen Palace. However, her next words shocked him to oblivion.
"Where are my manners? My Lord, this is Luica Naller, Son of the City Alpha" She introduced, making Jason look up from his meal. He smiled at Luica.
"Nice to meet you" he said briefly before returning to his meal. Jason could feel that Luica did not like him since the first time he saw him. He didn't know why but he kept his distance and did not pay him any attention.
Josephine noticed this and frowned. Jason just met Luica and was wary of him. If Luica was planning to harm or bully Jason because he was previously engaged to Xunia, she would retaliate in full force, regardless of their former relationship.
Her top priority was Jason's safety, physically and mentally. The only ones allowed to bully him were the Queens. Besides, she liked Jason so much more than Luica. His heart was pure and he was much better than Luica.
"Nice to see you again too Luica. If you would please excuse us, we would like to get back to eating" 
"Of course. If you both don't mind, I would like to join you. The rest of them can leave" Luica said, shooing the people that followed him. They left, leaving a smiling Luica.
Josephine almost had a headache with the young male troubling her. Her eyes turned scarlet and the next words she spoke were laced with her power.
"My Lord doesn't like to be disturbed and he prefers silence. If you would please excuse us" she then transformed into her normal form. She resembled a human more than a Werie. That's when everyone realized who she was.
Luica just smiled and left them alone. He walked away from their table with burning pain in his chest. His plan had backfired. He was chased away instead. That showed the Queens preferred Jason and they were all protective of him.
"You don't like him, do you?" Josephine asked, after Luica had left, a concerned look etched on her face. 
"Instincts. He hates me for a reason unknown to me. My instincts never lie" He replied. Josephine smiled at him because she knew he was right.
"After lunch, we're going somewhere to raise your condensation level. You've been stuck at this level for a long time so I'm going to help you breakthrough and give you some condensation techniques in the palace suitable for your affinity" she said and he nodded.
They soon finished their lunch and stood up. Josephine told him that their dishes would be taken care of and he followed her. She led him out of the academy to the back of the palace, right to the garden. He then saw that Seriel, Lorema, Savannah and Astara were waiting for him.
"Took you long enough Josie" Savannah complained, pouting. 
"Ran into a little trouble. Are you ready?" Josephine replied. Jason then noticed she had reverted back to her 12-year-old form.
"We're ready. Astara would test and find out his affinity,  patron judges and body constitution" Seriel replied Josephine while pointing to a white spell circle drawn on the ground with Astara in the middle.
"Okay. Jason, you'll stand in the middle of the spell circle and whatever happens, don't get distracted, okay?" Josephine said and Jason nodded. He walked hesitantly to the middle of the spell circle and the spell circle showed blue which meant it was locked. All five queens stood around the spell circle, holding hands and chanting.
The spell circle kept changing color to different shades of blue till they finished their chant. They then backed away and the spell circle slowly changed from navy blue to deep red then purple then green then brown then silver to pitch black and finally, blinding white.
The Spell circle died down to its original color and Jason opened his eyes. During the operation of the spell circle, his life from beginning to that moment was shown.
It exhausted him physically and mentally to go through his good and bad memories. He felt the joy and pain in those memories. He wanted so badly to give up. But he persevered till the end.
When the spell circle died down, he saw the shocked expression on the faces of the queens. He was confused, wondering why they were looking at him like that. However as he was bout to ask them, they all fell on their knees in a bow.
He thought it was for him till he heard her voice. "The Chosen one, child of the heavens. I was right" The Alpha Queen said, looking straight at him. 
"What does that mean?" He asked, still confused.
"Affinity: Light energy Metheron. Body constitution: Ethereal tier. Patron Judge: Light. Therefore conferred with the title from the central realm; The Chosen one, child of the heavens" Xunia replied, smiling at him.
He wanted to ask further but his body collapsed on him. Xunia caught him before he could hit the floor. 
"You should rest, this has taken a toll on your soul" she said, carrying him gently. 
"You girls too" She said to her escorts and left, carrying an unconscious Jason in her arms.
Meanwhile, around the universe, various people felt a jolt in their hearts. The knowledgeable ones knew that a powerful entity had been awoken.
A certain Judge in the bright region of the central realm opened her ethereal eyes filled with purity and smiled. He had finally awoken.

Jason woke up with a jolt. A powerful migraine sent him back to the bed. He blinked to see he was in a room different from his own. The silky black bed sheet and blanket were his first clue.
Almost everything in this strange room was black. The curtains which were held up to bring in the evening light were pitch black. He held his head as pain flashed through it again.
"You were out for a while so you might want to rest for a little more time. Don't worry, you're safe in my room. I helped raise your condensation level while you were unconscious so that's why your head hurts. There are pills beside you to help alleviate the pain" A voice projected to his ears.
He looked to the bedside table to see a glass of milk and tablets. He searched the room with his eyes and he found the owner of the voice. In the middle of the room was the Alpha Queen, floating in a lotus position with her eyes closed.
He took the tablet and his migraine went down immediately. 
"Thank you" he said, bowing.
"You're welcome. Before you leave, I need to give you some instructions. You're now at peak star level condensation and I expect you to breakthrough Cosmos level by tomorrow morning. You need to spend tonight consolidating your foundation.
You can only absorb energy during the day because that's the only time light energy Metheron is available. There are some condensation techniques already available in your room and various resources. Josephine would guide you through everything. Good luck" He could clearly hear her words but her words but her lips weren't moving.
He bowed again and left her room. She sighed and opened her eyes, to reveal how black they were. She then drew out a energy formed rod and threw it behind her. The rod dissipated before it reached its target.
Xunia saw the visitor clearly, smiled and bowed her head. 
"What brings your holiness here to visit me?" She greeted. A figure shrouded in pure light came out of the shadows and approached Xunia.
"You undid the seal, why?" 
"To help him protect himself. I can't always be there to protect him and neither can you" 
"You are right young wolf but what if this backfires, you know he's the main key into taking down my brother?" The visitor asked worriedly.
"He'll be fine Light. Besides, you have those protective mechanisms that protect him when he's up against people stronger than him. He's doing great" 
"Oh, I hope so. My sister sends her greetings" 
"Then I'll have to trouble you to thank godmother for me" Xunia replied, smiling. The visitor smiled back and disappeared.
After the visitor left, Xunia crashed to the floor and spat out a mouthful of blood. All she had done that day had drained most of her soul power. She was extremely exhausted but still managed to stand in front of Jason and his patron judge. She too was scared of the safety of her mate but she had hope.
So she prayed to the creator that her hope and efforts would not be in vain.

Jason was a simple Werie who was a 
famous shut in that spent his time reading more books than making friends. He was often bullied by the other wolves from time to time. 
However, his life changes when he meets his soul mate, the scary and beautiful Alpha Queen. She whisks him away from his simple life into a more dangerous one where he has to fend for himself.
Will he find himself and love in his new life or will he be killed off by the dangers of the faery realm?

The elders couldn't help but shiver. Their greed had blinded them, causing them to dive head first into this mission, never once signaling for help. But, if they signaled now, even if their dao formation experts had somehow magically come back from their war with the barbarians so quickly, it would take at least a few minutes for them to reach here. With the battle prowess this young King had displayed. Would they last that long?! 

What they didn't know was that this was all a façade Dyon had purposefully put up. However, that was how he liked it. 

He had just spent hours slowly laying down formations, how could he not use them? Right now, he was panting heavily, waiting for his limp and bloodied arm to heal. However, his face was completely expressionless, as though the heavy breathing and broken arm weren't even his own. 

Dyon flashed outwards again, seemingly disappearing in an instant before appearing behind one of the weaker elders that were rushing to the position of the still roaring elder. As a sainthood body cultivator, Dyon's vision was already far better than most cultivators even above his station. After all, blood essence cultivation improves all aspects of the body, including the eyes. Because of this, he had sharp and clear sight, even in this dense darkness. 

Unfortunately, Dyon also understood that this wasn't much of an advantage. Although these elders were relatively weak, they still practiced the Dragon Refining Art. Even if they hadn't made it to the 4th stage, they would have still had the first level of Dragon Eyes at the very least because one only needed to reach the 2nd stage for this ability. Since they Dragon body-type abilities scaled with cultivation, their vision was tens of times better than a normal lower celestial. As such, Dyon still remained cautious, understanding that not only would they likely be able to see him if he was in their line of sight, they could also see his body heat! 

Another agonizing scream erupted as Dyon's fist completely shattered the spine of the elder he aimed for, cutting their numbers from 12 to 10 with a mere two attacks. Although he purposefully didn't kill them, he had definitely crippled their abilities to participate further! 

The elders spun around, hoping to catch sight of Dyon, however, he had once again disappeared. They were incredulous, how could it be possible for someone to be so fast?! And why couldn't they sense him?! 

At the celestial stage, a soul would gain more properties. As Dyon also had explained to him when he nearly died at Zabia's hand, it was only when the soul reached the 9th stage that it would be capable of leaving the body and operating independently. With this, came many other abilities, including a sort of divine sense or bird's eye view. 

However, how could these lower celestials have such an ability? In the cultivation world, finding someone whose soul kept up with their energy cultivation was rare beyond belief. Usually only alchemy or formation experts would invest in such a thing, and even they would usually lag behind substantially. Therefore, these celestials didn't have this divine sense. They could only rely on their instincts and eye sight! Unfortunately, Dyon always attacked from their blind spot, and their Perceptions were weak! 

Remarkably, Dyon had had a pseudo divine sense for a long time now. But, he couldn't use it now since his soul was locked away. That said… When his soul did finally break away from its current stage, the world would witness the birth of a divine sense the likes of which had never been seen before! 

With their second elder taken down, the cold sweat on the backs of the elders increased. 

"BACK TO BACK!" The calm elder that first noticed they had gone in a large circle barked. 

However, how could Dyon allow that? With an expressionless face, ten motes of light accelerated forward with a blinding speed. They seemingly appeared out of nowhere, rushing toward the elders. These were none other than a portion of the arrays Dyon had laid! 

The reason why even celestials didn't notice that Dyon had led them in a circle previously was because the path he had taken was much too devious. The truth was that the circle he led them in wasn't even all that large, it was at most a few hundred meters in radius. The path Dyon took was long and winding, but the only places he set down arrays was within this specific circle he mapped out in his mind. 

In an instant, the lights were upon the elders. They all simultaneously punched outward. Although they all disdained this weak attack, they didn't dare to underestimate it. After losing two of their elders to injury, how could they have the heart to be arrogant anymore?! 

However, that was when something they didn't expect happened. The moment their punches connected, it felt as though they had hit nothing but air… As though they were really trying to punch light. Many of them lost balance, falling head-first in the mote of light. In an instant, all ten figures disappeared, unable to resist the pull of teleportation. 

Under normal circumstances, it would be easy for a celestial to resist the pull of an array. Dyon had witnessed this first hand when he tried to teleport away from the Niveus Sect Matriarch. However, these were no normal arrays, they were comet level arrays!

"You're too arrogant."

To Dyon, it seemed as though these words were heard all the time.

However, how could these people possibly know of all his hard work? Of the fact that sleep was but a distant relative of his. How could they know that he never had a single moment to rest. 

And yet, despite their ignorance, they still said, "you're too arrogant..."

But where were those people when a five-year-old Dyon's eyes shone looking at a computer screen filled with code? Where were those people when an eight-year-old Dyon played his piano and plucked his guitar strings until his fingers bled... needing to vent his feelings about his lost mother without bothering his fatigued father? Where were those people when Dyon sat alone at ten-years-old… when his parents were gone, and the only thing left was a room filled with inventions and computers?

Dyon's arrogance wasn't borne of thin air. It was his hard work. It was his shield. And he wasn't willing to give it up...

Now alone, he left his home behind. 

He was no longer the boy genius who changed the human mortal realm. He was now nothing but a commoner, a bug noble families saw fit to step on. An insignificant existence. 

And yet, Dyon was still the same unchanging person. Standing tall, his eyes firm and his will indomitable.  

This so-called Martial World would come to understand the meaning behind his existence...

"You're quite bold for a girl who's almost been recluse for her whole life you know," Dyon said chuckling.

"Little sister Delia and Meiying probably think so too, but you've been in my heart since the opening ceremony. Maybe not exactly in this way… But sometimes a foot in the door for a long time leads to a fully open one, no?"

Dyon smiled, 'it seems like she's been watching from afar for a long time… it must be lonely being in that room with Libro all the time.'

Dyon felt a delicate hand playing with his collar, "the truth is that I'm always playing the gentle big sister role, mostly because I have no idea how much longer I'll have the chance to…"

The vulnerability in her voice made Dyon tremble. Madeleine was so strong, yet it seemed even martial artists had their weaknesses too.

RMW happens to be the very first novel I've ever written. I have to admit that the first volume requires a lot of work. In a warehouse on the outskirts of Gotham City, a dark room was suddenly illuminated by the pale red-orange glow of a summoning circle. Ten cloaked figures stand before the spell, moaning and chanting out to the abyss. They were reaching out to the other side because they needed to know a secret. If they could find what they sought after then all of their hopes and dreams would come true. 

These figures could feel the warmth leave their bodies as the glow from the spell intensified. The room lit up as if in the middle of the day, but the figures could not see the light. The metal beams which held up the warehouse started to glow, radiating heat but the figures could no longer feel anything around them. Their focus was on the creature they had summoned into this world. 

She was ethereal. The creature they summoned body was composed of pure mana. She steadily phased in and out of this world, creating a rhythmic dance that enchanted them. She spoke out to them, drawing them in, on every one of her words.

"I am a legend breaker, a truth teller, what truths would you have?"

In a blatant attempt to mask his voice, one of the cloaked individuals stepped forward with a book in hand and stated to this so-called truth teller, "Tell me the truth about Anthony Aims! What is his origin?"

A burst of light and mana was released from her body as her arms flailed around leaving afterimages with every movement. Her eyes glowed with an eerie light as she looked at the humans before her as if she were looking into their souls.

"Anthony Aims, born in tragedy, or born in celebration, or born with unremarkable circumstances?"

Another one of the cloaked figures stepped forward and yelled,  "She's contradicting herself."

Another one confirms, "Yes, this must be a protection spell, place down by Cantrip himself." Without any other options, they decided to let her continue.
 
"Was Aims born into tragedy with his mother dying at birth?  Or, was he born into celebration with a proud, loving mother and father doting on him? Or, did his birth not matter and he was just born the youngest to an elder sister? He was either a destructive and cruel boy, a strange boy compelled by a force unnamed, or just an ordinary boy, innocent. All of these led down to one path; Aims met a demon. This demon was either lost and was looking for a way to move on, wanted to help Aim find his way, or convinced him to learn the dark arts. Either way, the demon was there, and he had Aim burn the orphanage, his parents, or his sister to ash."

  The cloaked figures stopped her there.

 "He burned his own family," asked a cloaked woman, "IS THAT TRUE?"

 "Yes," said the legend breaker, "the first of many prices paid for power."

 The cloaked figures stood there dumbfoundedly.

 "From there," she continued, " Aims used his new powers for trickery, or ignored it and made a vow never to use magic, or maybe he became a student and learned all he could to prevent this type of thing from happening ever again. All of these paths led to Aims meeting a young girl in trouble. You see the girl was tormented by a demon and by using his knowledge gained from his youth Anthony tried to save her, however, he failed. He failed because the girl was doomed anyway. The result was either Aims fleeing the scene, Aims being caught and prosecuted for the crimes committed on that night, or he escaped and was never found, but collapsed into madness from finally touching hells flames'. Or, maybe, he defeated the demon and claimed his rightful place in a world filled with magic."

 The legend breaker, truth teller, began to spin around creating dancing wisps. All of the light and heat are sucked back into her as the dancing lights pulse in and out of step with her mana. 

 "Thus Cantrip was made," she yelled.

 The figures in cloaks begin to fall ill as blood starts to leak from every pore on their body. Their eyes begin to bulge as they start to drop to the floor one by one. They could feel it now. The floor is as icy as the rumored Mr. Freeze. The demon is beginning to kill the figures.

 "You would summon that which you do not understand, and you can not bind what you do not."

 From the darkness, a man emerges with a deck of playing cards in hand. As he walks towards the demon, his hand begins to glow as he shuffles through the deck of cards. The man walks through the summoning circle and stands before the creature. The beast floats away as she could see who this man was from the glow of the ring tethering her there. This man was six two, light skinned with dark curly hair. His eyebrows had a scar, and his eyes were dark silver. He was a very fit man, lean, a body suitable for swift movements, but underneath there was a great power. He wore a white dress shirt with a red bow tie.  His shirt was tucked into fitted cargo pants tucked into a pair of dark high laced boots. Over his shirt, he wore a black zip-up hoodie and over his hoodie he had on a tan trench coat.

 The man began to laugh. "A legend breaker, I didn't think there were any of you left. Man you shits are annoying. Well, you can't have these souls so off with you."

 The creature yells, "No I claimed these mystics, they are mine. These mystics failed to contain me."

"I bet you would, did you tell them what you are? I mean you told them truth-teller, and that's the only thing they heard." 

 The cloaks begin to fall off the figures.

"Look they are nothing but children, nothing but kids. Its either they found the book by accident, or you led it to them. Or maybe they thought this would be funny or maybe you broke the rules, and you put it in their hands," Anthony exclaimed, pointing at her. 

"They sought your hidden secrets."

"Ya, good for them," said Aims as he stopped shuffling cards and made all but one disappear and threw it at the demon, "now get out of here." 

There was no explosion, no burst of energy but just the disappearance of the creature. 

The kids looked around to see it was daytime.

"Thanks, Anthony."

"Thanks, Aims."

Thank you so much Cantrip," the teens exclaimed. "We won't talk about your past."

"Oh, really which past is that," Aims asked, "What if none of what you saw was my origin?"

Aims turned around and walked away as owls flew from his body causing him to vanish leaving the teens staring wide-eyed.

Because of a mixup, The Presence enlist Death to make an offer to Anthony Aims to be reincarnated into the body of the twin of John  Constantine, of the DC universe, two years before Bruce Wayne parents death. Read as this mistake becomes DC's own Supreme able to have tea and play chess with the Presence on a daily basis.

"Is this the World Tree?"

After a long walk across the underground cave, Reina could finally see the huge tree. 

In the normal circumstance, the tree's leaves had to be lush green and large in size, touching the ceiling of the cave, but due to the changes, the leaves were long dead, leaving behind the grey and bare branches. 

Legend had it that the World Tree was so huge and beautiful that it could cover the entire world, but seeing its current condition, it was hard to even imagine. 

"How did it end up dead like this?"

At the question of Reina, Erwin answered after a long sigh, 

"At the end of the mythical age, it was said that there were a few contentions among the Gods. And that to avoid the fight, one was said to have concealed himself."

The battle of the two Gods, symbolizing the Light and Darkness, was said to be the reason why Aether had divided. 

As a result, he decided to hide the World Tree underground to protect himself, and that led to the natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions to destroy the continent. 

"Why did the fight even happen between the Gods?" Asked Reina. 

"Devil God, who was born in the Darkness tried to destroy everything in the existing world to create a place that would suit him. But he was knocked down by El Kassel and the world was preserved."

When the two people were talking, Sylvia who looked around, went close to them and said, 

"This place is safe. I don't see any monsters here."

Erwin immediately prepared the ceremony. 

After a week's hard work, she had brought out various objects and magic items which she stored in the subspace ring, and began to draw magic circles around the World Tree. 

When a huge circle of 10 meters in diameter was drawn, she pointed to the center of the altar. 

"Please go over there and stand. When I send you a sign, you can trigger the Earth's Tear as my teacher has taught you."

"Understood." Replied Reina. 

Reina gulped and went to stand at the altar. 

Her face was stiff with nervousness and anxiety. 

She was there to keep her promise, but that didn't mean that she wasn't supposed to be scared. 

Didn't Erenes tell her?

When the door to the Spirit World was opened with Earth's Tear, no one could know what would happen. 

At worst, she may turn mad, or die being unable to handle the power of the spirits. 

Even then, she wanted to keep the promise she had made, making two fists while she kept telling herself, 

'Everything will be fine, I need to think of Lord Luke, and not give up hope.'

Reina remembered what Erenes had told her before coming to the place. 

Once Reina seemed ready, Erwin began to perform the ceremony. 

Injecting magic into the pre-made core of the magic circle, the magic stones around the circle began to light up with rumbling sounds.

The song was elegant and beautiful in its own way. 

At one point, the body of the World Tree which was dying shook and began to react a little.

At the signal from Erwin, Reina triggered Earth's Tears.

Reina's body revealed a mysterious tattoo which had never been present before, and a fierce wind began to blow in every direction. 

The wind of pure spirit power, which was never felt in the earth, swallowed her and the World Tree. 

The moment the last magic circle began to light up, Reina's appearance disappeared from the group of fairies.

Shaymon, the man who has achieved the apex of dark magic, is framed as being a Demon King and is killed.

Benjamin’s words caused obvious hesitation among the soldiers below. However, this was their battleground, and they were ready to start their massacre with their weapons raised high, their veins popping with adrenaline. As a battle instinct, they had temporarily shut out all of the distractions, and continued to rush forward. 

"Sh*t…."

Benjamin frowned when he saw the priests started chanting within the enemy lines.

"Forget it. We should calm these soldiers down first," Benjamin turned to face the mages beside him and said. Then, all at once, he released the ice fog stored in the Space of his Consciousness and directed them straight below. 

Below them, the two forces would clash very soon. The King’s soldiers held their shields high and formed a defensive circle. The archers and the gunmen within the circle had started to aim, preparing to shoot at any notice. 

The enemy was pretty similar in their preparations, too. 

However, just as they were about to come into contact, a circle of ice mist descended from the sky and blocked the space between the soldiers of the two sides. Some mages also cooperated to summon gusts of strong wind to billow over the enemies, causing them to slow down their charge. 

Now, the soldiers who led the assault finally stopped in their steps. 

"Generals and soldiers, please listen to me. Please do not be deceived by these priests from the church. Once you take this step, you will become the king-killing sinners of Carretas. Why should we fight amongst ourselves when the true external enemy was just standing before us?" 

As he spoke, Benjamin supported the King to rise to the sky from the ground. The king held the sigil up high as he surveyed the circles of soldiers who surrounded them. 

"Enough! All of them are liars!" 

The priests would never sit by and watch the King’s actions. However, they did not directly face Benjamin in the sky as they were probably cautious about his abilities. Instead, all of them within their group shouted at the soldiers, urging them to charge further. 

Not only that, Holy Light was seen pouring out from their palms, and they immediately flew towards the ice fog that separated the two soldiers. Within seconds, Benjamin’s ice fog had visibly thinned as it was cleansed by them. 

Benjamin’s face darkened at that. 

The combined power of thousands of priests was not something that he could handle alone. 

However, he must hold down the fort. 

He created an endless amount of ice fog that rushed around the soldiers, and the other 20 mages were also working hard to block the flying Holy Lights. If these things did not form a barrier between them, the Grenade of Holy Lights launched by the priests would land directly among their soldiers. The damage would be terrifying. 

At the same time, Benjamin quickly searched through the enemy’s ranks for the generals. 

The church’s control over the army was established through their control on the generals. If he managed to convince these generals to sacrifice their lives instead of living under the church’s control, he would be able to immediately change the entire situation!

The man who ‘sought refuge’ with the King - the man who said that he had committed suicide out of honor, the man who announced that his soldiers would meet the King and his men here in the campsite. The man was General Hawk, and he was currently standing in the enemy lines. 

The King was shocked, to say the least. 

"G-General Hawk, why did you betray me?" The King bellowed after a prolonged silence, and his furious cry was deliberately amplified by the mages, to spread it around the battlegrounds. 

General Hawk tensed at the contact, and he turned to look at Miles, who stood behind him, with unbelieving eyes. 

"You…. How did you get here? Quick! Anyone! Kill this assassin now!" 

That demeanor was totally different than how he behaved when he came to see the King. The King did not catch that due to the sheer distance between them, but Benjamin’s senses caught everything down to the seconds. 

Benjamin’s heart was cold. 

So, everything was a trap, huh? The empty campsite was a trap laid by the church. No wonder there were no bodies there. The blood was fake, and the real soldiers were now within the assaulting circle, preparing to take them down. 

Such irony….. 

The soldiers around General Hawk started to gather in an attempt to subdue Miles. However, it was obvious that they were not even on the same level as the man; his shadow moved and crashed among the lines like a ghost, wrecking chaos within the men. He managed to attract a significant amount of energy from the priests, which greatly alleviated the pressure on Benjamin. 

He nodded and gave the King a look. 

The King, who was right beside him, understood. 

"Soldiers, Icor is right outside our door now, and your families and friends back at home are probably suffering the assault of the war. However, do you know what the church is doing? They sent ambassadors to negotiate with Icor’s army. They wanted to sell Carretas to Icor!" 

These words finally caused the soldiers to halt their actions. They raised their heads up to the sky and looked at the King. 

With his arms outstretched, the King threw a number of verification documents to the ambassadors. These documents flew towards the soldiers. 

This was premeditated by the King and Benjamin to be used when they were attacking Gealorre. However, since it did not seem like the Church wanted to have their final battle at Gealorre, there was no use in keeping this up their sleeves anymore. 

Everything would be worth it once the soldiers turn against the church!   

The priests looked extremely agitated at the statement. In a blink of an eye, the few verification documents were obliterated by flashes of Holy Light. 

"What are you waiting for? Charge!" General Hawk barked as he urged his soldiers on. "It was just a layer of fog! Charge! Don’t behave like cowards!" 

However, the soldiers’ eyes upon the general were no longer the same. 

"The documents….. Could it be real?"

Benjamin smirked as he continued to float in the sky. 

What were they even thinking? Destroying the documents entirely would only destroy the trust of the soldiers. Now, the accuracy of the documents was confirmed. 

That was an extremely foolish move. Though they had no proper command, their reaction to unplanned events was indeed rash. 

The King continued, "Generals, I know that you have crosses planted in you. I know that you do not have a choice, that you were forced to become slaves of the Church. However, do you still remember the vow in which you swore when you were elected? What are you doing when our country is now facing immense threats?" 

There were a total of 4 generals who led the soldiers in the circle. Aside from General Hawk, the other three dipped their chin, visibly hesitating. 

Apparently, they felt quite displeased by how they were tricked and became forcibly controlled by the church. 

Well, General Hawk was the only exception. 

"Enough, you’re a liar! Soldiers, do not believe him! The real King resides in Gealorre, and His Majesty is waiting for our glorious return! Charge!" 

Miles’ voice rose from behind him. 

"The true King would not start a fight with his own people. He would not ignore the external threats to the kingdom." 

Hawk was stunned. Before he could react, a cold glint flashed by his eyes, and blood was splattered everywhere. His arm, that had a crossed carved on it, flew diagonally into the air. 

Miles caught the dismembered arm and tore off the sleeves to show the cross to the surrounding soldiers. 

"Look. The general that you looked up to was the church’s puppet all along." 

Hawk collapsed to the ground, blood gushing out of his cut like a fountain. His eyes were wide, and tremors wrecked his body while he formed cut-off noises and syllables. Miles’ attack was probably too surprising, and he behaved just like a chicken that had its throat slit and its blood splatter. He was so in shock that he could not even scream in pain. 

The soldiers around him no longer looked at him. 

Instead, they turned to look at the arm that was raised by Miles. Shocked realization colored their cheeks.

The world was dark and chaotic. Two thousand years had passed since the emergence of the Abyss World. The quiet and dull abyss was now much more active.
Among the space bubbles in the dark Abyss World, innumerable abyss demons moved from one to the other. Some were powerful enough to communicate their thoughts and manipulate an entire space bubble, while others were only capable of creating chaos, only knowing how to swallow each other up.

He enjoyed answering questions.
When they were walking across the hall, there were lights trying to approach them. The two badges that Lazar was wearing were glowing to prevent the lights from getting close to them.

There was an open hall in Sorcerer Administrative Department, where there were light yellow couches, coffee tables, wine cabinets and many other facilities for relaxing, making this place look more like a salon or a club than an administrative office.
There was a reception desk made of silver and gray metal beside the major corridor, behind which stood two lovely young girls. Many sorcerers, who were not as gloomy as most necromancers, liked to tease the girls a bit, and among them there were also some young men who were seriously pursuing them.
"Welcome back, Mr. Lazar," greeted the taller, flaxen-haired girl with a smile. Wearing a long yellow dress, she looked quite beautiful.
"Thank you, love." Lazar had a big smile on his face, and then he introduced, "Cindy, this is Mr. Evans, a twenty-year-old sorcerer. Evans, this are Cindy and Dona, two sweethearts in this department. Both of them are working on becoming real sorcerers as they are working here."
Knowing that Lazar was always like this, Cindy did not mind, but turned to Lucien, "Welcome, Mr. Evans. A twenty-year-old sorcerer following the ancient magic system… Wow… I have to say that you’re definitely a genius. If when you become a middle-rank sorcerer, I still haven’t make any breakthrough, can you have me to be your apprentice? A real apprentice?"
"Mr. Evans, can I as well?" Dona, the plump young girl, also asked while playing with her auburn-coloured hair.
The girls enthusiasm was beyond Lucien’s imagination. For a moment, Lucien was too shy to say anything.
"Haha… Evans… I can tell you’re quite inexperienced in talking with ladies." Lazar laughed. "It’s okay. This is just their way of welcoming newcomers. Cindy and Dona are quite talented as well. As they were already senior apprentices when they were only seventeen, many sorcerers would like to have them to be their students, besides, what they want to specialize in is different from what you’re good at, Evans."
"Ha, I thought somehow I suddenly became popular." Lucien joked.
"You are, Mr. Evans. You’re good-looking and you look quite reliable. Better than Mr. Lazar." Cindy looked at Lucien with her beautiful eyes.
"Oh… That hurts." Lazar made a sad look, and then tried to get a bit more serious, "Anyone’s available right now?"
"Only Mr. Eric is." Dona smiled and pointed at the corridor behind the reception desk, "He’s waiting for you two."
Complaining about the fact that he was becoming less attractive, Lazar led Lucien to the third office under the girls’ gaze. The sign hanging on the door read "Eric, director of Sorcerer Administrative Department".
Lazar gently knocked at the door. A commanding voice came from inside of the office, "Come in please, the door is unlocked."
When Lazar opened the door, Lucien saw rows of shelves in the office. On the shelves, there were no books, but pieces of silver-colored paper like sheets of metal glowing in a mysterious way. Many silver lines grew out of these sheets and extended themselves to build their connection to the light blue wall that shone all around them.
Besides the shelves, there was a black cabinet, an iron cage with a bell, and a metal shield.
In front of the shelves, there was a desk, behind which sat a bald man wearing black suit, and there was a top hat beside his right hand.
The average-looking, forty-something man raised his head. His light gray eyes were like crystal stones that could see through a person’s heart. He took a quick glance at Lucien, and then started writing something down.
"Mr. Eric. This is Evans." Lazar bowed to the man respectfully.
"Welcome, our new friend. Let's have your registration thing done and get your badges." Eric nodded, then he looked at Lazar and said, "You did your work, Lazar. Take this note with you to get your reward in Task Zone."
As he was saying, the small piece of paper Eric just wrote on flew toward Lazar.
After getting the note, Lazar said to Lucien cheerfully, "I like you, Evans. I wonder if we can have dinner later together. I think we can become friends."
Talented, reliable and easy-going, that was Lazar's impression on Lucien. He felt that Lucien was someone that he could get along very well.
"Of course." Lucien smiled, "I happen to have no idea where to eat this evening."
"Great." Lazar waved this piece of paper a bit in his hand, "I’ll see you later then. Good luck with your badges."
After Lazar left the office, Lucien sat down in front of Eric. Taking a closer look, Lucien noticed that there were three silver stars and four black circles on each of his badges.
"Level three arcanist, fourth circle sorcerer…" Lucien thought to himself.
As Lucien was thinking, Eric took out a piece of silver paper and handed it to Lucien, "Complete the form, so I can activate your magic badge."
Lucien quickly read the form. Only name, age, level, and the magic schools that one was good at were required to report, and nothing related to the sorcerer’s personal background was mentioned.
Seeing that Lucien did not start writing immediately, Eric said to Lucien with no emotion, "If you have more information to offer, you can ask for another piece of paper. The more information you provide, the easier for the congress to get ID for you in Holm or in other countries. By the way, if you want to get married in the future, please also register that with the Sorcerer Administrative Department."
Lucien nodded, and started filling in the form.
"Lucien Evans, twenty, interested in school of Astrology and Element, first circle sorcerer."
And then he made up some fake personal information on the paper.
Eric took up the silver sheet and read carefully, then there was a bit of a smile on his face,
"Lucien Evans… What a common name… There’s a famous musician in Aalto named Lucien Evans, and several days before, the name of a junior-rank elemental sorcerer who just made his breakthrough was also Lucien Evans. Why people like this name so much?"
"Honestly speaking, I never put much thought into it…" answered Lucien surprised, despite the fact that Natasha told him more than once how common his name was.
Eric did not stick to this topic, but pointed at the the metal shield on the other side of the office,
"Cast a first circle spell. I need to verify your level."
Lucien nodded and shot two black magic missiles at the shield. As the magic cover on the shield absorbed the power, there were light ripples spreading out.

Eric nodded, "The power is not from a magic item, but from your soul. You’re indeed a first circle sorcerer."
As he was saying, Eric turned around and took out two badges from the black cabinet. He put one of the badges together with the silver piece of paper into the cage, and then pulled the string of the bell.
The bell started ringing, and the cage started shining. One minute later, the light disappeared.
When Eric took the badge and the paper out, there was a black circle on the badge, and a shining silver line connecting the metal paper to the light of the wall.
"The magic badge records your name, age, level, your spiritual power mark and your arcana points. You need this badge either when you earn or pay the points. Except you, no one can use it." Eric handed two badges to Lucien, asking him to leave his spiritual power mark in them.
"All of the information, " said Eric, "is kept by both me and the document office of the highest council. Do not try to change your level and your points for any purposes on your own. With this badge, you can accept missions in Task Zone and receive the basic arcana and magic books, as well as meditation methods. Besides, as a first circle sorcerer, you can ask the congress for materials or potions worth a Thale every month, or you can use it to borrow books."
Lucien put the activated magic badge in front of his left chest, and then looked at the dim arcana badge, "Mr. Eric, what about this one? My arcana badge?"
"You write your unique magic down and give it to me, if you have any," answered Eric. "So I can send it to the Arcana Review Board. It’ll take around half an hour to know the result. No worries, I won’t read it."
Lucien smiled, "I see, thank you Eric. Then what about arcana papers? Besides submitting my paper to the board, shall I send it to the journals as well myself?"
"Your paper?" Eric raised his head, and looked at Lucien very surprised with his gray eyes.
