Yukio watched him leave the white-board and walk over to the one where another group were struggling with English. Despite bombing that topic on his midterms virtually every club-member knew his English knowledge was superior to what any teacher at school could muster.
'And I think you have a better grasp of Japanese history than I do by now. What kind of study monster are you?'
Truth be told the only thing that kept Urufu from popping up on the wall was his written Japanese. By now Yukio recognised the difference when Urufu spoke about or listened to the material they had to study compared to when he was forced to rely on his reading skills.
'And you're closing that gap as well. It's scary how much better you are at reading and writing now.'
Kuri was the same. Even though she paled in comparison to Urufu, her Japanese had improved by huge strides since summer. That realisation made Yukio a bit uncomfortable. He hadn't known how important the preferred language was for grading other subjects.
'Would I look like an idiot if I had to go to school abroad? Or even Noriko?' Yukio pushed the last thought away. Noriko failing exams was ludicrous. She was one of the best freshmen at Himekaizen after all, with results that probably placed Todai within reach of her aspirations.
In the background he heard Urufu's strangely melodic explanation when he gave examples in Japanese for the English text they were analysing. Whenever he read a sentence aloud for the group to hear the correct pronunciation Kuri interrupted him with a laugh and read it twice. As far as Yukio understood she delivered one version in some kind of British English and then in American English.
Urufu grimaced but never protested. Instead he told his group they should listen to Kuri because her spoken English far surpassed his.
"How good is she?" Yukio shouted when he tired of Urufu belittling himself.
Everyone by the whiteboard turned, and Yukio saw Kuri glance at Urufu rather than the one to blame for the interruption.
"Depends," Urufu said. "As for pronunciation she bulldozes right over me. There's no comparison."
"Depends?" Kuri said to test the waters.
"Well, I'd guess your vocabulary is between half to two thirds of mine. What's your take?"
"Spoken, close to ten thousand words," Kuri suggested and grinned.
"Damn! You're just as good as I suspected."
"And you? Native level is around fifteen thousand."
"Native college level, yeah. I'm above that average."
Kuri's eyebrows shot up. "What kind of vocabulary do you have?"
"The tests couldn't measure above sixteen thousand, so I don't really know."
Kuri palmed her face. "He killed the test. Why am I not surprised?"
"What tests?" Sango-chan asked.
Both Kuri and Yukio shot Urufu warning glares.
"There were some… ah..." Then Urufu must have caught up with the looks he got from the friends who knew about his first life. "Ah, there are proficiency tests, and I took a few before moving here," he finished.
'You took a few before moving here. Well that's one way of expressing it.'
"You took a few tests at college level?"
'You're not out of the woods yet. Think, think!'
It was painfully visible how Urufu tried to come up with a plausible explanation, but in the end he lit up in a bright grin. "I like programming, and most of the literature is in English, so I needed to learn it to read the books."
That had to suffice, and from what Urufu had said earlier it partially explained his knowledge of math.
"But you failed your midterms," came a less than helpful comment from Nori-kun.
Urufu's face clouded over. "I didn't in Sweden," he said in a subdued voice.
"Huh?" That was Nori-kun again.
"Guys," Kuri said. "Here in Japan we're graded on how well we can express our English knowledge in Japanese, but neither Ulf nor I are Japanese. When we translate we usually translate from English to Swedish in our heads."
'And that's a lie,' Yukio thought. 'You both told me you don't translate at all any longer.' Then it struck him why Urufu had lived through such problems with his Japanese, and a moment later Yukio understood how Urufu's spoken Japanese had developed so insanely fast the last months. 'You've stopped translating Japanese as well!'
With that line of thought something clicked inside his head. Suddenly Urufu's explanation of learning models made sense. 'Learn the rules, break the rules, write the rules' Urufu used to say when he tried to describe what he called analytic-synthetic learning or reverse triple loop learning.

This is a Japanese manga/anime -style slice of life high school romance with a splash of sci-fi. In this kind of romance friendship plays a big role compared to your standard western romance. Ensemble cast, so if you only want one main character this is not for you.

It's finally Friday, and I rejoice as I realize the upcoming weekend is a three day weekend. I'll have Monday off due to veterans day, and it seems like a perfect weekend to hangout with friends.

However, beforehand, I do have last day of school to cover this week. It started with a prank a couple of friends and I pulled.

So I'm not gonna name names, however, I will assign random names to my friends. Friend 1 will be Joe, friend 2 will be Jeff, and friend 3 will be John.

So, for context, Joe is the friend in my group who has a car. Joe occasionally drives Jeff and I to school, but never drives John. John has asked numerous times, however, his house is simply too far out of the way and Joe refuses.

Needless to say, Joe picks me up today, and about 15 minutes earlier than usual. We then go on to also pick up Jeff. Then, we pulled the biggest stunt.

We drove to John's house. We got out of the car, took a selfie, and got back in. We then proceeded on our to school. Later, once we had left and were nearing the school, we sent the selfie to John with absolutely no context, and it was utterly hilarious.

Shortly after getting to school, I went to physics. Today we got our grades back on our physics tests from yesterday. Unfortunately, I didn't get a 100% let alone getting over a 100%.

I already know what one of the things I did wrong was. You see, one of the questions had a typo in it, and my teacher had corrected the typo on the front board. It was a numerical value where it said 6380m instead of 6380000m. Unfortunately, in all my math for the bonus, I used 6380m, so it's obvious why I got it wrong.

I'm honestly unsure as to what else I got wrong. Getting the bonus and nothing else wrong would have landed me at a 100%, but I guess I'll see when we get the tests back.

I then went to digital design and I finished and turned in the flyer project I had been working on throughout this week. I'd say my project came out fairly good, especially compared to the one other person in my class who was doing the same project. They had only spent a singular class project on it and overall their's came out super rushed. It was seemingly rather unfortunate for them.

But anyways, I turned mine in and got on my way to AP Statistics. Today was "FRAPPY" Friday. FRAPPY stands for "Free Response AP Problem, Yay!", and is essentially the college board's fancy way to say a statistics FRQ.

Needless to say, we practice these FRAPPYs every Friday, and today's was rather easy. Since we are just doing probability at the moment, which you learn numerous times before taking a statistics class, you just need the correct mindset and you're good to go.

For lunch today I had a school lunch cheeseburger. It wasn't all that good, but not super terrible either. Along with it I had a side of carrots and ranch, grapes, and a chocolate milk. It was a fairly standard lunch, and I asked some of my friends who had taken the APUSH test today whether it was easy or hard. Most of them told me it would be easy.

I then went to IT class where we had a pop quiz on specific server roles. It was fairly easy as it was the same exact matching we had done before as a pre-test. I managed a 100% on it. I spent of IT class studying for my APUSH.

It wasn't until the final ten minutes of IT that a friend of mine told me we having a notebook check in english today and we had to have six pages of work done. I had english in seventh period, and it was the end of fourth. I had to have the work done in fifth and sixth period. In fifth period, pre-calculous, we would be learning the entire class and would only be allowed to do pre-calculous.

I went through pre-calculous today, barely listening, only thinking about when I would have time to do the english assignment. Believing it was due today put significant stress and strain on my mind and I thought of the only solution. I'd need to speed through my APUSH test and do the work with the extra time I had in sixth.

So that's exactly what I did. We were given around five or ten minutes to study in APUSH before the test. I didn't take this time to study, I worked on the six english pages I needed to get done.

I then got my test, and sped through all 30 APUSH questions in about ten minutes. This means I did not spend any time checking my work nor did I think for a long time on any problem.

I quickly got back to work on my english assignment and I barely finished before the bell rang. However, in the end, it was done.

I walked into english prepared to turn everything in. It was at that moment that everyone in my class told me we actually had nothing to turn in, and that what I had heard was just false. "You have got to be kidding me!!!" I thought to myself. I was very frustrated.

It then hit me how quickly I had gone through the APUSH test, and I realized that it hadn't been worth it at all. I was able to finish an assignment that was not due as the expense of my thoroughness of my history test.

We ended up watching a movie in english. We were watching Act IV of The Crucible, a play by Arthur Miller we had just finished reading.

After english, I got on the bus to go home. I was very worried about my performance on the history, and I continually checked my online gradebook.

Shortly after I got home, I saw the grade go in. I got a 90%. I was partially relieved, but also partially irritated. My goal on the test was a 93%, but I couldn't be too mad as I still maintained a 93% overall in the class. An A is an A at my school and we don't do A- and A+, so a 90% is the same numerical value as a 100%.

Soon after I got home, I began my homework for the weekend. All I had was some AP statistics homework and some pre-calculous homework. I started with the AP statistics, and did the pre-calculous afterwords. Total time spent doing homework was around an hour and thirty minutes, and by the time I finished it was probably around 6:3PM (I had taken breaks to respond to people on discord throughout the process).

Soon after I finished, my mother arrived home from work. I was saved, as she had brought two more 2-Liters of cola home. I really enjoy drinking cold cola, so this was a great situation.

I then watched the weekly Dr Stone episode. Dr. Stone is one of the weekly series I am cirrently watching, and I certainly recommend the show. It is very interesting and used a lot of legitiment applications of biology, chemistry, and physics.

For dinner I had some cup noodles. I want to make sure that everyone knows cup noodles are not normal ramen. They have a completely different texture, which makes them soooooooo much better in my opinion. If anything, they are like luxury ramen noodles and I really enjoyed them.

By the time I was done with dinner it was getting somewhat late and I sat down and decided I needed to write my daily chapter. I hope you all enjoyed today's chapter, and peace out.

school 8s what I call hell why do we have to go to school when we could just stay home and study or laptops or computers for me school is the survival of the fittest. if you're not strong you won't make it out without losing yourself tut if you're strong you're most likely be one of the bullies and now apparently  school is for socializing I'm like no it doesn't make sense that school is all socializing because that is where we lose our self-esteem  and do you even socialize in the school and if you tell your parents did say you're making excuses .

life was great until I entered secondary school I was labelled as a nerd bookworm and I didn't understand why no biggie my friends are coming back in 2 weeks 14 days. 36 hours still no biggie. the only reason I couldn't help because I love my friends and family and then the ones that keep me here for a really long long long time overusing of a long is wrong omg I just made a rhyme.

what are you confused why I said come back well 6 years ago I was in your servant by that said we should move to germany cuz he had trouble at work and I have to leave my friends back a home and it was sad and now that I'm coming back they have a trip to australia and the army back in 2 weeks which is 14 days and c-130 6 hours and I have two weeks to settle down back in my old school which is where I am cars in year 7 i left summer town secondary school summer town high school to move to germany a boarding school in june and now I in the first week I'm getting bullied

honk honk that's my school bus I have to leave today it's so hard when I get in the bus so squashed up and there is no space and normally I'm at the back where the people that means a lot and I'm not with you there is like a banana in the midst of watermelons its its grave danger and now I'm now in school and its horrible and someones read my books out of my hands and insulting me and called me ugly and I'm like that call me an ugly swan or dark and im like at least the ugly duckling thats fine and you guys start praising me but then I couldn't say out loud because I don't wanna die so right now I'm in class writing this present for it to be my science notebook and this how class the jocks and cheerleaders or giving me and I and we had homework and majority of them came to me, to complete it in a night and it's now not my own work it's theirs we have to do a total of 10 works - 9 photos that class and I have seven a day that 70 works at night and now I'm trying not to pay attention to them and pay attention to the teacher in class i'm a star student never got less than 100 and any of my exams and i'm a teacher's pet who can't read the poem doesn't do any other thing

on my way out of science class I need for my english class cuz I don't think doing it I know that I miss them but then to english I was not around for that last week so I couldn't i didn't go there cuz it wasn't necessary and I heard that she's back I have to go for his class was like where are the majority of the homework but was like a free period for me to do the extra 70 works that I had I was on my way to english class when it happened and said I should directly to english class that we had the same class so I agreed and we went but then it take me 30mins to get them because I was stupidly staring at his face cuz a 5-minute walk was 30 minutes wow don't blame you was hot as f u c k.

I just finished english english class and I had gotten so many evil eyes stink eyes rolling eyes insults because I was with the new guy and so the cheerleaders would jealous really jealous and gave me extra work but not only the homeworks but the class works do you know how hard it is to hide from the teacher toyota next reward you have to first change your handwriting change the workings and each paper even he has to do it in a different way but get the same answer it's not easy.

I just finished english class and I saw this really hot guy and I am so confused what is it with the school and hot guys, my old school was an all girls boarding school maybe that's why I think all guys are hot.

"Oh?" Director Jiang looked at Ning Ke. He had heard of Ning Ke who was the youngest student in the First High School of City A, so he had a deep impression on this kid. It was surprising that he could even solve these difficult math problems! He walked up to Ning Ke, saying, "Can I see your answer?"
Ning Ke pursed his lips and reluctantly handed his answer to Director Jiang. He actually wanted to show it to Xiao Rou. Although both of them managed to solve the problems, his way of solving these problems was more complicated than Xiao Rou's, so he wanted to discuss with her about it. To his surprise, however, she recommended him to be the commissary in charge of studies. 
Tang Xi didn't know at all that she was so important to Ning Ke. She just wanted to keep Ning Ke busy so that he didn't have the time to pester her.
Director Jiang read his answer and smiled. "Your way of solving the problems is the same with mine. It's amazing. You're only fourteen years old, but you can already solve these problem in such a short time. How long did it take you to solve them?
Ning Ke frowned and looked at Tang Xi. Although he didn't count the time, he knew he was a bit slower than Tang Xi. He was about to speak, when his deskmate suddenly said, "It took him eight minutes. I think he is really fast, and he didn't even draft much. He just drafted over two steps." 
Ning Ke took a look at his deskmate and snorted in his heart. It's none of your business. But he didn't speak anything. Director Jiang smiled and said, "You're really a genius! It only took you several minutes to solve them? I spend quite a while on solving these problems last night."
Tang Xi was relieved to hear this. She looked at Pu Guoqing and raised her eyebrows as she asked, "Mr. Pu, now do you think Ning Ke is qualified to be the commissary in charge of studies of our class?"
Pu Guoqing nodded. "Okay, from today on, Ning Ke is the commissary in charge of studies of our class. It's time for class. The next class is English. Now preview the vocabulary. I remember the English teacher said today he would give you an examination of dictation. If he complained to me that you didn't study hard, you'll be doomed!"
The wailing sounds rang in the classroom again. A bold boy said, "Mr. Pu, we're Chinese, not American or British. Why should we study English?Our own language is extensive and profound, with thousands of years of history. Can we refuse to study English?" 
Pu Guoqing glared at that boy, saying coldly, "Then can I reject you to take the college entrance exam?"
The boy curled his lips, answering, "I want to be rejected. But I can't enter a college if I don't take the exam."
"Then shut up." Pu Guoqing banged a book on the table, and said loudly, "Get ready for the English class. Run a lap on the playground for every wrong word. You know, the more mistakes you make, the more laps you have to run understand?"
The students began to wail again. "I'd rather die!"
"Mr. Pu…" Among the wailing sounds, Tang Xi's clear and cold sound suddenly rang. Mr. Pu paused and suddenly had a hunch that something bad was going to happen. His sense told him to leave the classroom as soon as possible, but his feet stopped. He looked back at Tang Xi, asking, "Anything else?"
Tang Xi nodded and looked serious. "I remember you said you would grant me a request if I win the bet."
Director Jiang who hadn't left yet raised his eyebrows and looked at Pu Guoqing. He frowned and asked unhappily, "Did you also join the bet?"
"No." Tang Xi smiled and explained, "Mr. Pu is the judge. He just agreed that if I won the bet, he would promise me one thing."
Pu Guoqing laughed awkwardly and looked at Director Jiang. "Well…"
Director Jiang glared at him. "Behave like a teacher, okay?" Then he turned to walk out of the classroom without saying anything.
Seeing Director Jiang leave, Pu Guoqing turned to Tang Xi and asked awkwardly, "What's your request?"
Tang Xi gave a sly smile as she said, "Nothing serious. I just want to ask for a week's leave, from this Wednesday to the next Wednesday. Could you agree, Mr. Pu?"
Pu Guoqing's face darkened when he heard her words. He frowned and asked unhappily, "Why? Why do you ask for leave? And as long as a week??"
Tang Xi blinked, and thought for two second before she said, "You know, I had a car accident and stayed in the hospital for a long time. My brother contacted a foreign hospital for me and will take me for a comprehensive examination. You know, in my family's eyes, nothing is more important than my health, right?"
"Which country? Pu Guoqing asked with a frown, "Can I contact your family?"
Tang Xi nodded. "Sure, Paris, France. If you don't believe me, you can also ask my former class master Mr. He. He knew I had a car accident." she paused and continued, "By the way, my brother contacted the hospital for me. You can just call him. You know my third brother's phone number, right?" Tang Xi secretly took out her phone to send Xiao Jing a message via WeChat as she said.
'Jing, it's up to you whether I can go to Paris to attend the Paris Fashion Week! My teacher will call you in a few seconds. Do please help me! If I successfully get a leave, I will buy you a sports car!'
After sending Xiao Jing the message, she quietly put her phone into her bag. Pu Guoqing hesitated, then found Xiao Jing's phone number and called him. He cast a suspicious glance at Tang Xi and the latter smiled at him and stood still quietly.
Xiao Jing who was in a meeting, suddenly heard the message prompt sound. He took a look at his phone only to find it was his sister's message. He was very happy and about to read it, when someone called him. He frowned, picked up the phone and asked, "Who is it?" 
Hearing the overbearing tone, Pu Guoqing paused and then said, "Hello, Mr. Xiao. I'm Xiao Rou's class master. My name is Pu Guoqing." 
Hearing this and thinking of the message that Tang Xi just sent him, Xiao Jing thought Tang Xi must be bullied in school again. He immediately asked angrily, "What happened to my sister? Did anyone bully her? Who did this? A teacher, or a student? Okay, I'm going to the school right now. My sister is in a poor health. If she gets hurt in any way, I swear I'll…"
"Well, Mr. Xiao, please calm down. I called you not because Xiao Rou was bullied…" But because your sister bullied others!

Marconi is in English class as he finally can pronounce and write the Russian English teacher's name. 

In this class a few new faces show up as this class starts to fill and the higher point people leave to other classes. 

Here they start on the book Mein Kampf, as they are there to study the power of language and the language of politics. In the book they talk about "I can fight only for something that I love. I can love only what I respect. And in order to respect a thing I must at least have some knowledge of it". 

Written by the author they discuss why this would impact the population, how background contributes to language and after one productive brainstorming class they leave the classroom exhausted. 

Marconi decided to stay longer as the students get to decide how long to stay and for his studious nature, he got 1 academic credit. Currently he has a total of 5, 1 from english, 2 gifted by the janitor, 1 from the librarian but only as collateral for books, and 1 that was given for turning in an extra credit work. 

Marconi knows he won't be able compete with the powerhouses for the high tier items in his grade, such as a 1.2x grade booster or will he try his luck on the wheel of fortune as he isn't a trivia person. 

Although there are items such as the lottery, most know they won't get anything although the possibility is there. Marconi is thinking of borrowing a second hand passive boost sold in the student store or trading with a senior. 

Tobias got his hands on the 1.2x grade booster and a low tier study guide. Preston is currently using his athletic skills to gain academic credits. While Edgar is coming up with schemes and rackets to make more credits. 

Marconi is just an average student. He does however try to gather some information as everyone is doing to see if he can find an advantage. 

He does finally try something very few in 6th grade try to do which is approach 8th grades and ask for advice and tips. Although they sort of ignore him, by hanging out he does pick up on a few tidbits and ideas that he could try. 

While talking to the Janitor, he says "hey james, could I get a low interest academic credit loan from you I'll pay you back later." James responds  

"Don't worry, although I'm not a gambler and I wouldn't get on our games I can still give you a zero interest loan for 100 academic credits. 

One piece of advice is to not be in the red during summer break to the school bank because it accumulates when you come back even though we don't have school. 

Also find a safe place to store these pieces of paper (think stamps or class currency - that's an academic credit). School card storage siphons up a large amount of school credits." 

With a large amount secured Marconi decided to run a lottery at a loss, where everyone can win more than they paid. but the catch is that he would pay them 4 months later and pay in increments. After creating an artificial scarcity of 20 tickets (he only has 100 academic credit). 

His current balance is -120. 

He owes James 100 credits + the extra 20 credits he loses from the lottery that he promised the owners of tickets. What Marconi did was effectively take out a loan of 120 at a very low interest. He can't really rely on the goodwill of James to much as he wants some independence and by doing so he bypasses the banks high interest rate.

Honestly, don't expect me to constantly update this to often as it is a side project of mine. Suggestions are appreciated.

This is a fan-fiction of the middle school life of a boy named Marconi. Nothing special, no cultivation, just a regular school story with some cool fictional elements. How many references can you catch? I have approximately 30 within the first 12 chapters.

Jiang Shen had a short but sweet dream. 

She was living alone with her pet in a beautiful apartment at the heart of the capital, with a job she loved and a stable salary. 

When she woke up, Jiang Shen had a slight frown on her face with a face still a bit out of it. 

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to ask if you knew how to read this?" The person gestured to an english novel he was reading. 

Jiang Shen rubbed her sleepy eyes and squinted at the book. She pointed at a particular word to confirm and the person nodded. 

"It's renaissance," Jiang Shen slowly spoke out with perfect English. She had no accent and the words flowed naturally out of her mouth. 

The person smiled sheepishly. "Thank you. I didn't know how to read it and I thought you'd know." 

"You're welcome." 

And just when she was about to return to her nap, the science teacher came. She couldn't help but frown but still tidied herself up. After all, introductions would take place. 

"Good morning, students." Teacher Pang nodded at them and set down his sling bag. "I'm assuming you all know me already." 

All of the students nodded silently. 

With a small smile on his lips, he said in an enthusiastic voice, "Would you all like to introduce yourselves?" 

Immediately, the majority of the people shook their heads while some quietly nodded. Jiang Shen didn't really care since nobody needed to know her. 

"Too bad, you still need to introduce yourselves!" Teacher Pang clapped his hands and pointed to the first person on the left side of the room. 

"Miss Jiang, please introduce yourself," Teacher Pang smiled. 

"And by the way, it has to be English." 

The students groaned while some even banged their heads on the tables. While they were considered an advanced class, in a countryside school that most people wouldn't ordinarily pay attention to, some didn't bother to polish up their English. While some were still having a hard time verbalizing what they know. 

Jiang Shen had an annoyed look but still stood up. With a voice that couldn't be more monotonous, she spoke in perfect English, "Hello everyone, my name is Jiang Shen. I am seventeen years old. I live about a ten minute walk from school and my hobbies are writing and painting. My rank is seventh." 

It was mandatory in their school to announce their rank while doing introductions, so that the teachers would be aware of how well they were doing academically. Not only would it be helpful for teachers to memorize them by rank, students would compete for the high ranks in order to be favored by a teacher. This meant that the higher your rank was, the better treatment you get, the higher the tier of the university you will go. 

Jiang Shen only wanted to go to a school where her major was available. And because it wasn't widely popular nor was it a necessary major, only three schools offered it in the capital, which was nearer than going north or south. 

Some students gasped, these were the ones who managed to get passed the ranks and barely managed get in the advanced class. While the others, specifically the ones who rank higher than her, had no reaction. 

Besides An Pan and Cho Jing who had thumbs up, there was one person whose eyes sparkled. 

Yang Mu was ranked 4th overall. He was very studious and loved to study, so it was no surprise that he would rank high. What he never expected was the class setting. 

The previous seniors had told them that once they reached senior year, classes would no longer be like junior year, where students were ranked in class by their average grades. 

It seems that the teacher department decided to change it. A lot of aspiring students would lose interest in studying because of the lack of competitive standards in classrooms. So to ignite the student's will to study, the majority voted that they should implement class ranks. 

While competitiveness is often looked down in because of fights breaking out with the difference in ranks, the students at Xu Academy were mostly all obedient, save for the students in some classes. 

Jiang Shen sat down again and waited for introductions to be finished. And while the teacher began to lecture and warn them about the diagnostic assessment the next day, she looked out the window with tired eyes and drifted to daydreaming. 

Teacher Pang only looked at her once before returning to teaching with a booming voice. Her attitude did not garner much attention, save for the bottom ranks in Class A. 

The day was quite uneventful. Jiang Shen learned that her seat mate was named Li Er, who enjoyed reading comics and the occasional novels. He was a bit of an airhead in her opinion but his rank was higher than her by a grade. 

The first ranker, which was respected as An Pan, would always be together with Cho Jing, who ranked third. They were always together but it didn't bother Jiang Shen much. They weren't exactly on close terms with each other but only good friends. 

As she packed up her bags and arranged her chair, Jiang Shen prepared to leave. But not until he heard the three boys who were whispering quite loudly in the back of the room. 

"Come on, just suck it up and ask her!" 

"I really can't! She seems to be in a bad mood and I don't want to ruin it even further." 

"What a sissy! You know what." 

Mo Ran grew tired of the sissy and grabbed his arm tightly while walking towards Jiang Shen. She stared at them with a hint of curiosity.

"Jiang Shen." 

"Yes?" 

He gestured at Yang Mu, whose whole face had gone red with embarrassment. "This guy was wondering if he could go home with you. His house is just a few blocks further away from yours." 

Jiang Shen thought deeply. Shi Fen was out because he woke up too late and decided not to go to school. Kang Shu would go home with Cao Wei, who lived in the opposite direction. And the two couples who she considered her great friends went out on a date together at the mall. Seeing the sun setting soon while the breeze lightly carried the scent of chalk, she nodded. 

"Okay." 

Yang Mu went stiff while Mo Rand and Li Er snickered to the side. They had been planning this for awhile now. 

"Aren't you coming?" Jiang Shen called out from the door as she stared right at him. 

"Oh! Sorry, i'm coming." He fumbled with his bag and gave a glare towards the two. 

As they walked outside the building filled with the liveliness of students, Yang Mu gripped his bag strap tighter. He walked at the same pace as Jiang Yue and together they walked through the long pathway to the school gate. 

He noticed the peculiar stares directed towards him but tried to ignore it. After all, Jiang Shen was still quite a well known figure in school. Her popularity would only rise as she formally introduces herself as part of the student council. 

Yang Mu shook his head and walked beside her a little bit closer. 

'Focus on this, Yang Mu. This might just be the beginning of something.'

Jiang Shan prefers to be left alone, leaving her with fewer friends than her peers.

After starting senior year, she is determined to spend her days at home to think about her plans for the future.
