B: "Well, in my experience, especially in the country I live in, Zimbabwe, there are high expectations for young men to get their act together once they have graduated from university. Tanatswa's failure reflects badly on his parent and also his interest in unconventional fields like manga art, music production and game development, which are not careers that parents would think of for their kids, make him seem unfocused. So he doesn't get along with his mother because he has failed at the normal way of doing things plus his interests in other things are a mystery to her, which makes her associate it with senseless drivel. He was just unlucky."

B: "I think petite women can be very nice to look at, especially the cute ones who are compact. I like them, but if you read the recent chapters with Shami, she has abandoned her petite heritage and now I feel betrayed."

B: "Yes. Not all titles will be obvious, but if you can guess their abilities through their titles than you have an advantage over them."
Cherrypompom: "Shami and Tanatswa get together and have graphic sex in your book? Did it have to be that graphic?"
B: "Well, for the story, I think it was necessary. In some aspects of writing, one may depict sex between two lovers in a romanticised way, with just 'they made love' and you leave the rest to your imagination. In my case, I realised that two highly attractive people, living alone together, one being unexperienced and passive whilst the other one being overt and direct, would lead to eventual sexual activity, but the basis behind it was lust. Without the escape of modern conveniences like contraceptives, it's risky business having unprotected sex. So the graphic nature of the depiction was to show how people can get lost in the act without considering the consequences. Pleasure can ensnare people so the depiction had to be raw, irreverent and carnal, because as soon as they were done love making, they were now dealing with other problems."
Sichijpop: "Is this going to be a long novel? Because I love binge reading long books."
B: "Yes, definitely this book is going to be a bit lengthy, but to be honest, I don't know how long. Maybe 500 chapters max or more. If I feel like there is more to tell and people are still interested in reading it, then I assure you, you will have a lot to binge read."
Nier2bnot2b: "Most of your characters have unique backgrounds like the female lead Shami who was studying architecture in university, the film maker Malcom and the most surprising of all, Clarice the pornstar. Why did you create a character that did porn for a living?"
B: "Well, I think as much as porn stars stimulate people's hormones by having sex on camera for entertainment, they are still people who are acting as these personas and have lives of their own. In today's current social media environment as well as entertainment industry, people see the persona and not the person. Pornography can be dehumanizing for the actors who are probably trying to make a living by portraying these characters who are mindless sex addicts that can be objectified. It's all smoke and mirrors at the end of the day, even if it's socially unacceptable in most cultures. So Clarice is an extreme case because she is neither a YouTuber who pretends to be loud and gregarious nor some teen socialite who behaves a certain way to get views, but everyone goes through some process which is just like doing a job to get money. Some make prank videos, some have sex and have their videos posted online."
Tennytom: "When will we see the blue poison lady's brother? I love the plot twist about the reason why they are in Goshem, keep it up!"
B: "You will get some foreshadowing about his appearance, but not anytime soon. A lot will happen before they will have to face him. By the way, thank you for your appreciation of my work, I will work had to post more."

Radio host. Your very first novel. So, tell me, who or what inspire you to write this kind of novel?
Janna: You know what, I can never thank you enough for letting me guest here tonight. I just want to clarify that the main character in the novel is not based on my best friend's life. No, it was not. The girl in the novel was a random individual who wished for a better life and then later regrets what she took for granted and thrown away when she thought the time to live a splendid life came along. My best friend was the one who encouraged me to put my thoughts into writing about this story, the protagonist who was Andrea Santiago was not just a fictional character but she can be anyone who
has taken the journey and fought challenges that have come along, not all struggles can end up smoothly, but rather it taught us how to learn from it.
Radio host: Very well said. I know what you mean about your main character, I also read a rumour saying that you based it off your best friend's life. It was good to hear that Andrea Santiago is just anyone of us, no one is cruel enough and no one should point a finger without knowing the whole story. Nobody's perfect. Now, before we continue on, a lot of my listeners were your new fans and wanted to know a thing or two behind your pen name Scarlet Love. Tell us something about it.
Janna: I love red. It was one of those very ordinary colours but it never goes out of style. It represents impulsiveness, danger, warning and most of all it represents love. It is a bit contradictory if I must say. It was like, you know the pain but you still go on. It's kind of being a masochist. But then we are all bound in the spell of love. Before, I was a nobody's girl... To give love and be surprised by what love can do in our daily life... You know it will hurt, you know it is dangerous but you still go and give it a try. So, basically, it was like my pen name is a sort of warning.
Radio host: (natawa). Wow. I don't know, for a bit I thought you will go on being serious on me, I was taken aback for a sec, you got me there, huh.

Janna: For me, Happiness is like knowing how to smile every day. Life is hard, but you can't just stop midway, they always say that you need to live life to the fullest. Happiness is being able to give and appreciate your life every single day. Learning to love yourself and your flaws is happiness itself. If you are contented then you're happy.
Radio host: True enough, being a mother and a writer at the same time, does it make your life a bit harder now that you are famous.?
Janna: No. It is still the same. I'm still the proud momma who watched them grow and take time to write when I find some time in the evening after I put them to sleep.
Radio host: I'm glad you don't take it too much that you are now famous and you easily brag about that. You are still humble.
Janna: Thanks. Thanks.
Radio host: Let's go back to your book. The fact that your book is really fun to read. It has the element of surprise, it was not like a typical story with a twist and turn, neither a cheesy and melodramatic plot. I've read it twice now.
Janna: Wow. Well, I'm just like you with reading books. If it caught my attention I won't move on to another book, I will savour that feeling first and then wait for it to fade a little. I think there's something nostalgic whenever we reach the last page...

Radio host: It has a very satisfying ending. Not all tragic love ends up unbearable and yours was one of those few, brilliant stories. It's so hypnotic and so dream-like yet it stuck to reality.
Janna: You know how much I love the truth about life that everything's not easy and you needed redemption from hate, vanity and all worldly kinds of stuff. Honestly, I experienced all of that. But at the end of the day, the bottom line is we know we are wrong and we asked for forgiveness.
Radio host: Ah... That was great to hear from you. Your novel taught us to learn how to accept things the way they are, that whatever you do there are consequences later on. Now, let's talk about the reviews of your book. Some of our readers compare it to Nicholas Sparks' type of novel. What do you say?
Janna: (tumikhim). Looks like I got a lot of explaining to do. I won't blame my readers if they thought that way. But believe me, it does not have any similarity. Nicholas Sparks writes a tear-jerker story. Mine tackles the consciousness of a human being who lived her life out of selfishness but find redemption at the end. And that's all that matters to her. It was not dramatic, I don't like dramatic stories...
Radio host: What was your initial reaction when after one year that you released your book it became phenomenal?
Janna: I heard my book was doing good abroad, but I never thought it will be this good, to be honest, I was not shocked. Let me tell you a story. There's this good friend of mine, her name is Sunny. And she's about to get married this weekend to my editor. Hello, editor, he's listening right now.

Radio host: Hello, good evening Mr Ignacio, hope you're enjoying the show.
Janna: Last, last month she went on a vacation in Singapore. She visited a bookstore and saw my book, she then later called me and told me this. I'm not shocked because the transition from books being sold outside the country is regularly reported to me by my editor, the sales and whatnot. So, I'm well informed. It's just that the media made a big fuss about it.

Janna: Sunny told me that everybody needs the inspiration to continue living. That's why she loved my book. As simple as that. And though it's not what everyone expects on the end they still like how it

Having said that, I hope that I'm still able to capture the true meaning of true love and happiness. When someone let go of the past and look ahead one day, he/she will realize; the world is still beautiful. Dreams are like a sandcastle even if you know that it will be ruined by waves you still try to give your best shot and create your own beautiful so-called fantasies. Who cares if it was done for a long time but ruined in just a second? At least, you enjoyed the time creating it. We only live once, let's just enjoy the most out of it.
Radio host: I really like your sophistry, I mean it. You are young but you understand quite well. I love the way you mould Andrea's perspective and ambitions the way most people do. Hi everyone. The last part of this book is literally the explanation of everything that happened within those 81 chapters. This chapter isn't really a chapter but you can call it that. It will include

Character Analysis 
Meilin: It's also important to know volume four was a mistake. I forgot to delete in before I published chapter 77. I couldn't do anything about because it was a premium chapter. That's just a side note. Now Meilin, she obviously wasn't that much of a weak character but if you might've paid attention I revealed why. 
Meilin was born into a home that was already in crisis. With everything that was going on in her life at a young age, she was scared of what life would look like as an adult and her fears became a reality. As an adult, she passed through difficult circumstances that made her hate herself many more times. From the mistakes she made to the failure of realising herself, she was bound to feel inferior especially to the opposite sex. 
Because... for some reason, all the men she'd stumbled across were living a good life. Her father was actually a rich dude, but he neglected herself and her mother. A stereotype and a wrong way of thinking but that's how she saw the world. 
The playground and the elevator were almost two decades apart. What linked unlike poles together. Haru and Meilin were obviously two different personalities merging. Haru didn't have a specific one but Meilin was only liable to change towards the end of the book when she'd realised haru killed Guiren. 
Actually I did curse Meilin. Her mother's love story was somewhat similar with Her own love affair with Bao. Marry a man and he ends up not treating you right because he's never satisfied with what he has.
The Hana curse was obviously for Meilin to experience the same thing her mother went through before she died. The hana curse also affected Meilin when her daughter's turned against her, the same way Meilin turned against her mother and went ahead to live with bao. Her mother was depressed till the day she died, and Meilin was depressed after hearing her daughter say she wished she'd die. That led Meilin to run out of her house in the thick snow that cold day after chances of a blizzard was announced.
Does it all Make sense now? You can see how that relates.
Meilin's thirst for love literally pulled herself and Guiren together. Principal Li wei was just chapter fill in, I wasn't too into their romance. And I'll let you in on a secret, I wanted Meilin to have another baby, but I wasn't too sure of who'd be the proper biological father so I decided to dump those ideas.
Haru: Heartthrob and our unsteady antagonist. Haru was a really bright boy with all the possible good emotions and positive vibes. He was never really sure about what the future had for him because of the way he painted the world. At his young age, he imagined he'd be a successful business man, have a car and a wife. That was all he imagined. His imaginations were normally about space and superheroes. He wasn't even that moved by the world 'love' even when he met Meilin at the train station it was a normal 'friend request'
And when he met Meilin at the train station, he believed more in the power of optimism. But once Haru reached his teenage years, especially when he was sixteen...he changed completely. For almost all his life he didn't know his parents were dead and the people he was living with were just relatives. His cousins didn't even like him because of the attention he got from his aunt who he always thought was his mother. He was living a lie and was puppeteered to think he had a perfect life.
The yang family was wide and nothing but power struggle. People could kill just to inherit the leadership of the enterprise. It was obvious that his aunt and uncle had their motives but he never bothered to ask. It would make him feel bad more than he already was.
It made him doubt the whole love thing. It made him think that it was nothing but a chance of benefits. His relatives claimed to love him but it was clear it was just because of his networth and all his father left behind. But None of that made him happy. He wanted someone that could understand him.
Even when he met Ai jin he knew at once that she wasn't the type that'd listen to his insides but would remain totally with his external features. 
When he met Meilin again he had a feeling that they knew eachother but not too much. He didn't have anything to back up his claim but he was still sure..
His greatest fear was having everything he craved for being taken away. Just like how he lost it after he found out who Guiren was. His selfishness got the best of him and he ended up killing his 'opponent'
Haru had always been emotionally weak, the next thing that comes to his mind what what he'd follow. An example was when Ai jin fell down the stairs and the only logical explanation was Meilin. He was quick to point fingers because his emotions were like a consuming fire. Same emotions made him cheat on Meilin after he got rejected time after time.
But no matter all he did, his love would still rekindle.
Ai jin: A princess, and Beijing's number one idol. She's unique, pretty and talented but her number one flaw Is her hunger for drama. Well Ai jin is one of my favorite characters, and I wished I actually did more for her 😔 
Before her fame, she was the nice soft girl Haru used to know before he broke her heart. Everything she worked hard for was to show Haru how much she'd achieved without him. 
What hurt her was the fact that he could only say congrats and it seemed like it was no big deal. She was on billboards and magazines and what even pissed her more was her discovery of Ai Jin. She felt downgraded by a mere elevator girl that somehow managed to be his 'personal assistant' 
It was all funny that Haru could find someone like her attractive more than an A lister model. Ai jin unlocked her jealousy trait and swore to kill Meilin if things would get that severe. 
She wasn't fighting because she loved haru, she was fighting because Meilin wasn't even in their league. She wanted to push her away because she believed they couldn't even breathe the same air. They were rich and she was poor, haru wasn't supposed to surrender himself to her so weakly. Ai jin assumed that she just came for money and only that.
Bao: The character everyone hated. The perfectly nuetral character. Was he really that bad? He started off as a boy at the oustkirts. Lost his caring mother and his dad went ahead to marry another woman that cared little about him. Bao actually did love Meilin, he got arrested because of the dreams he had. He wanted happiness, that's all for himself and Meilin. Everything went wrong when he realized he couldn't give Meilin what he thought he could because of his criminal records.
He resorted to violence because it somehow relieved him of the stress. He needed someone else to blame so he decided to punish Meilin for the mistake that he made. He wished he never met her. He was sure his life would've been different.
I did want Bao to have a little bit of his human emotions so I decided to not let him kill Meilin's babies. He still somehow cared about her but everything he did was for his own benefit. 
His relationship for Ai jin was for money at first and he didn't think he'd fall for her. When he did, it felt like he was being mind controled. He was ready to take all risks as long as it was for her. But in the end, he died. At this point I think I have to type less now.
I was going to talk about Guiren but I can't because it will make it too long. You know what, I still will.

The alternate endings— 
Meilin died when she got hit by the truck that ran into her but I didn't think you guys would like that.
Ending 2 
Guiren marries Meilin and Haru goes to jail where he actually belongs.
Ending 3 
Meilin lives happily ever after with Haru.
I didn't plan to kill Guiren but I had to.
If you weren't satisfied with the above endings. What else did you want? 
People must have noticed how much I like building my sandcastles and smashing them. That's probably because I wanted to make the story longer and I just enjoy ruining my character's happiness. I can't let them fall in love at first sight and expect a happily ever after.
Now to address the matter of not liking this book— 
It's something that's inevitable I know but sometimes I prefer not to hear it. I don't have more than 24 hrs but I try my best to always keep the book in mind and update as much as possible. I only take days interval whenever I feel like no one would care. I make a lot of mistakes but I promise to fix all that before March. It won't be easy but I'll try my best.

Just know I'm planning to start  another book anytime soon. Not sure yet but I have a lot of incomplete projects that I don't know if I can

Her situation didn't change. Day by day it worsened, the financial burdens increased when her husband left home for a long time and she has to deal with his debts all alone with no help. 

Her family cut ties with her and she was left alone to live with her husband. She wishes to apologize to them but as long as she's still his wife she can't go back.


Her depression increased when she lost her jobs and she was struggling to get a better one but the good spots were all taken.

She's forced to work as an elevator girl in a famous company and earns a medium salary. Her life was in for a change the day she was trapped in the elevator with a stranger. The CEO himself.

"Your hands are cold," I stated and glanced at Shaun who was standing at the entrance of the auditorium. 
"Claire, are you a robot? How can you be so stiff when the love of your life is proposing to you." Emily nagged.
"I am trying, Em."
"Let's do it again, but with more emotions this time."
We began rehearsing the scene again. As I was about to walk up to Ed, the stage light above us fell on the stage with a terrific thud. The light hit Ed, on his shoulder and the shattered pieces of glass flew over me, lacerating my arm.
I heard Ed yelp as he fell down on the stage. I grasped my bleeding arm and walked to him.
"Ed! Ed!"
Emily, Shaun, and everyone in the auditorium ran up to us.
"Claire, are you alright? Shaun flopped down beside me." You are bleeding!" he cried.
The other students carried Ed, who was passed out on the floor, out of the auditorium.
Shaun carried me to the infirmary where the nurse treated my wound.
"Are you feeling any better? Does it hurt a lot?" Shaun asked me as soon as the nurse left. His face was pale, his brows furrowed and eyes filled with worry.
"It seems like you are the one who is hurt. Relax, I'm alright."
"Claire, did you get your wound treated? Is it really bad? Can you move your arm? Are you hurt anywhere else?" Emily barged in the room.
"One at a time Emily." I chuckled seeing her alarmed expressions. "It's just a small injury, I'm fine. Don't worry."
"Ah, it's such a relief." she sighed.
"How's Ed?"
"He is hospitalized. He fainted from the shock, but unfortunately, his shoulder is injured pretty badly. The doctor has strictly advised bed rest for at least three weeks."
"I hope he recovers soon, we should visit him tomorrow I said.
"How did the stage light fall? Did you look into it?" Shaun questioned Emily.
"I checked with the auditorium staff and they said there wasn't a problem with the lights before. It was striking for them too. Well, I have informed the administration. They said they'll find the person responsible and take adequate measures."
"Did the director hear about the incident?" I asked, thinking of Dad, he must be really worried.
"I don't think so, he's out of the school for a meeting I heard," Emily informed me.
"Thank God." I thought to myself.


Emily and I went to the hospital the next day to see Ed.
"Ed, look whose here," Emily announced as we get into his room.
"Claire, what a pleasant surprise." he smiled brightly at us.
"How are you doing Ed?" I said sitting close to his bed.
"I'm all good now that I have seen you." he took my hand.
"Does it hurt a lot?"
"If I say yes, will you stay longer with me?"
"Sorry, I didn't come early."
Emily gave a discreet cough. "Guys, am I invisible to you?"
"You were here too Emily?" Ed gave a silly laugh.
"You've got blinded by love, my friend."
"I certainly am." he gazed at me. "I forgot to ask, how's your wound, Claire?"
"It's healing fast," I assured him.
"I'm glad to hear that."
"I'm sorry, I cannot participate in the contest anymore. I'm upset about it. I really wanted to do it with you, Claire."
"It's alright, Ed. It isn't your fault. Don't worry about anything and just recover well." I patted him consolingly on his hand.
"I need to find another good looking actor now. There isn't much time left for the competition. I wonder who could be a good choice." complained murmuringly.
"I'm sorry Emily for causing for the trouble."
"I told you it's not your fault, stop apologizing Ed. Emily can you stop making him feel bad." I snapped at her.
"I'm sorry! Ed she's right, don't be like this. I'll take care of things, you don't need to worry."

I was going through the shelves in the library searching for a book when someone tapped on my shoulder.
"Claire, I'm going to ask around about the paper we found in the staffroom. Do you want to go with me?"
"Okay, but let me first find the book I'm looking for."
"Let me help you. What's the title?" 
"There it is, I found it, without your help." I bragged.
It was placed in the top compartment of the shelf. I stood on my tiptoes to reach the book but I wasn't able to get even near it.
Shaun came near me and from standing behind me, he raised his hand and took out the book. I turned around and finding him so close to me, my heart skipped a beat.
"I guess you overstated." he handed me the book.
"Thanks." I walked away from him, trying to hide my flushed cheeks.
"Pull yourself together, Claire," I said to myself, fanning my face with my hands.
"Should we go now that you have got your book." Shaun came from behind me.
"Y-Yeah." I faltered.
I followed him as he walked to the campus building. We stopped at the art room on our way, to inquire the art teacher about the paper.
As we walked in she was working on a painting. 
"Good afternoon students, what can I help you with." she greeted us warmly.
"Sorry to disturb you but we were wondering if you know where we could find a paper like this. We thought of you as the most suitable person to ask it about." Shaun took out the paper and asked.
She took the paper and examined it carefully.
"This type of paper is rarely used for art, you won't find it here but I think I have seen it before. Let me think." she paused for a moment. "Yes, I remember now, I saw it in the stationery room. I think someone from the teachers has a specific requirement for this paper. You can ask the staff from the stationery room to help you get some." she explained.
"We'll do that, thank you for your help."
We walked out and went to the stationary room straight away.
"We wanted to know if you have this type of paper here? I asked one of the staff and showed him the paper.
"We had it until yesterday, it's bought in limited quantity on a teacher's demand," he informed us.
"Can you let us know who the teacher is?" I inquired. He looked at us skeptically.
"So that we can ask them for some, we need it for our project." Shaun broke in.
"I see, it's the maths teacher."
"Joseph, you mean?" I confirmed.
"Yes."
Shaun and I both looked at each other in astonishment.
Does that mean, Joseph is that person in the black hoodie, he is the one behind all those notes, he is the one who tried to kill me?

"Just relax there and treat yourself at home while I'm preparing you some snack. " Mr. Gonzales said while placing the books in the table near in his sofa, so I could read.

"Thank you, Sir." I politely said then sit at the sofa to read the book he gave to me.

It's my first time to meet Oliver's father but he give me the right book to read because it's the kind of book I want- "A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks". 

It never failed to make me cry again over and over. I love the book and also I love its movie. It's so fantastic. It shows that love can change a person and I loved the moral of the story.

I'm reading the book word by word and feel the magic of their love when someone interrupted me. 

"Why are you still here" Oliver asked while still frowning.

I looked at him and placed the book back in the table. "Your father said I'm your guest so I'm still here." I answered that made him annoyed.

" Do you really want me to see I'm angry?" He asked that makes me furrowed my brows.

" Why are you like that? Do you have a period? Do we need a doctor to check you up?" I asked. I don't know why he's being such a drama king right now. He need to be happy now because it's his birthday.

Does an evil become worst in his own birthday? If I based it on him, I think it's a yes.

He just rolled his eyes then walk out that made me realized the real reason why I'm here.

Oh my Gosh! I need him to teach me how to dance. Should I follow him and beg for his forgiveness and help?

I shake my head. "No, Alicen. You're a girl. If you want to preserve your dignity never beg." My ego said to me, convincing me.

Yes. I should read the book first and follow my 7b's- Books before boy because boys bring bullshit.

I just read the book for an hour when I noticed that I'm already wasting my time.

Should I leave and not join the program? Or should I stay because of Gina's warning?

I'm thinking what kind of decision, the time exactly when he come back to living room, holding his gadget. 

"Why are you still here?" He coldly asked me while holding his gadget.

I raised my eyebrow while still reading the book. "Are you blind? Can't you see I'm reading a book?" I said without looking at him.

I was surprised when he suddenly grabbed the book and speak. "This book is mine not yours and I don't want you to borrow it." He angrily said while holding his gadget and book that made me confused.

He's reading a novel? With his attitude, I doubt that he can even read a paragraph and also he doesn't deserve it because I know he doesn't have any love in his body. He doesn't look like someone who loves to read since he is a jerk and a douchebag that makes me really hate him. 

I saw his father angrily looking from the side. Did he saw the bad attitude of his son? I hope so.

My guess turns right when he's father speak. "Oliver, that book is mine and I'm the one who will decide if she can borrow that book." His father strictly said while walking toward us and get the book from his son's hand and put it to table.

Oliver looked at his father with a shock face. "But pa--"

"No buts. I saw you finished it and I know you don't want to read something you've already finish. Don't be selfish and I'll buy you another book if you want." His father said that makes my eyes widened.

Wait, Oliver actually knows how to read? And he's reading a novel? Is this the end of the world?

Oliver suspiciously look at me that seems like he's reading my mind. "If you're thinking that I can't read, of course I can. Obviously, I'm smarter than a stupid and brat like yo-" He muttered, low enough for his father to hear his voice.

"Oliver, did I raised you like that? You're lucky that it's your birthday or I've already give you some lashes with my leather belt." Mr. Gonzales angrily said that made me gulped.

Really? Lashes with a leather belt? I feel like I'm in pain just by imagining it. Mr. Gonzales is really scary. He frightened a hell out of me.

He just rolled his eyes to his father and attempt to leave with his gadget but his father already blocked him with his hand.

"Before you leave, I will confiscate your beloved brand new PSP because of your attitude." His father said and grabbed the gadget that was called PSP to Oliver's hand.

Oliver angrily walk away and his father express instantly change from a scary to welcoming face then looked at me.

"I'm sorry, Alicen. My son is really spoiled by his mother, before that's why he turned out to be an evil drama king." His father gently said so I smiled weirdly. 

Well, I don't really think that's all his mother fault because he's weird like his son, in terms of changing the expression. Fortunately, his acting to his visitor turns to be great than his son who is the worst actor I've ever seen.

"Don't worry, sir. I know Oliver is better than what he's showing us." I hypocritically lied and smiled to his father. His father weirdly laugh.

"No way. He's the worst kid I've ever seen. I've already accepted that nothing can change him. He inherited it all to his mother, aside from his handsomeness that he inherit from me." Mr. Gonzales frankly said

I like the attitude of Mr. Gonzales. He's so way too honest, even it means ruining the reputation of his son. But I hate his attitude when he become a self righteous person and blame it all to his wife.

I smiled at him to conceal what I'm thinking but what I failed somehow. "I like you, Alicen. But if you think that I'm narcissistic, well at least, I'm not a hypocrite like my wife." He said and creepily smiled at me.

Gosh, so scary. I think the intimidating aura of his son used when asking me to pay my debt was from him.

"Thank you, sir. Because you like me, Can I asked you a favor?" I said without having a second thought so I can practice my dance with Oliver early.

His father chuckles. "You're very frank, Alicen like me. Of course, You can ask a favor. What is it?"

I scratched my head. "I want Oliver to be my partner in birthday party of our principal and to teach me how to dance." I answered that makes him smile widely. 

"If you really want to be his partner, then go to his room and convinced him. If you can't convinced him enough, then leave the work for me and comeback later at 4pm." He said that lessen a huge amount of my burden.

"No." Said by the man who still acts like a kid and closed the door.

I followed what his father said and go to his room, just to see the most devil guy to act childish when I knocked his door.

I knocked the door repeatedly until he opened his door but he never did even my hands and arms get tired.

What should I do? Should I knocked again? Should I leave? Or Should I changed my tactic?

Yes. My tactic is too common. Let's try another.

I touched my neck and cleared my throat, waiting for my time to shine. "OLIVER, GO OUT! TAKE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!" I shout that echoed through out his house.

I smirked. Let's see if my ultimate tactic is successful. I'm sure that he'll get irritated and he'll open his door to argue with me, then I'll sneak in his room and say what I need to say.

"GO AWAY, STUPID GIRL!" He shout in his room without opening his door that made me rolled my eyes.

How dare he to reject my beauty!

I take a deep breath and choose to leave when my brain come up with a new idea. I go near to his room then make sure that he will here what I said.

I sit in the floor and touch my feet then did my best to shout and louder my voice. "Ouch! My feet hurts." I cried and shout in pain, doing my best acting that even devil will take pity at me.

He opened his door and shock crossed his face when he saw me crying in pain. He instantly carried me to go to his room that made my mission successful.

Oh my gosh! He really carried me. The devil's touching me! Yuck! But I need to bear it.

While I'm in his arms, My disgust to him fades and I actually enjoyed being carried by him. To be honest, I've never been carried by anyone since I go to to primary school so I decided to enjoy the moment.

He slowly put me in his bed to lay down then massaged my feet. I was shocked deep inside that he actually knows how to massage and I become satisfied with what he's doing the reason why I can't help myself but to smile and closed my eyes.

I furrowed my brows when he stopped what he's doing. "Stop acting, You're just fooling me" He angrily said then stand up to leave his room but before he did it, I grabbed his wrist.

"No, I will not let you go. Why are you like that?" I asked but he still attempt to go away from me but he failed because I tightened my gripped.

"You'll never understand me." He sadly said. Wait? Does he have a problem? So, even a devil can have a problem too.

"I can listen to you." I sincerely said and he sighed.

"Okay. My parents are separated right now." He sadly said and avoid my gaze. Because I was surprised to what he said, I automatically removed my hand to his wrist and look at him as he walk to sit in his bed.

For a moment, his image of a devil became a hopeless and pitiful boy to my mind when he start to cry. "I'm doing my best not to think about it but I just become numb." He said while covering his face with his hand so I will not see his crying face.

I sit beside him and touch his back to comfort him. "Hush. Stop crying. I know I can't understand you but remember, they're separated but not divorced. It's not the end." I said while comforting him.

He uncovered his face full of tears and look at me. "But they got into huge fight, yesterday. I don't know what to do and Mama packed her things. I know they can't divorced because there's no divorced in Philippines where they married each other. But divorced and separated, what's the difference." I barely recognized his voice because it became hoarse from crying.

Because his intimidating aura and rich guy aura in his school, I never think that he had any problem behind that and suddenly my mind wants to help him. I know I shouldn't care about his business but I felt that I have to.

"Then let's make a way so they will not leave each other." I carelesly said that makes him smile and have a little bit of hope.

I am a little bit expert as a cupid because I read a lot of novels and I made a lot of poems for boys that want to impress the girls they are courting. Maybe my clever mind can think a clever idea for them.

" Really? Can you do that?" He said then wiped his tears.

"Of course, I can. But you need to teach me how to dance and forget my loan to you." I said and he cheerfully nod like a child, acknowledging my conditions.

"Okay and also, I invite you to my birthday party at 4 pm. Let's discussed our plan there. " he said and I nod.

While I'm walking back to my home, I saw a mini cafe that serves my favourite pastries and baked goods.

I smiled and checked my purse if I have some money first because I don't want to embarrassed myself when my money is not enough.

When I'm already sure that I can afford their treats, I went to the cafe that's full of pink decorations that definitely attracts my eyes.

When I go there, I saw an old man scolding the waiter, who spilled a coffee to him.

"How dare you! Do you know how much is this suit?!" The rich old man furiously said, making a scene that made me very curious.

Tss. The old man is so boastful and narcissistic. He think that he's so important because he looks rich, when the truth is he doesn't have a worth since he's very bad and care only about himself.

I decided to go to counter and not interfere to them but I changed my mind when I saw that the waiter he's humiliating is Ray.

"I'm sorry, Sir. I'm sorry. I will pay for the laundry." He said with a hint of fear in his voice.

I stepped between them that shocked the old man. "Mister, What's more important? Your weird and unfashionable suit? Or the life of the person you're humiliating?" I reasonably said then raised my eyebrows to annoy him.

His face was still shocked because he never expect that there's someone who's willing to have a discussion with him because he think he's so intimidating.

He composed himself. "How dare you! Of course my suit-" He said but before he even finished, I slapped him.

"Ouch!" He said then attempt to slap me but before he even slap me I already blocked him with my bag and show my ring.

"Oh, really? Then my diamond ring and branded bag is also more important than your life." I said and smirked to the old man who's in shock. "Okay. Noted."

"Of course not." He shout, reasoning with me.

"Then if your life is important so his life is. He already said sorry but you still choose to humiliated him. Now, you need to apologize to him" I said but he shake his head.

" No way. I'll never apologized to some low life and fat person like him." He said then point Ray that is in my back.

"But that low life and fat person is my friend and I will do my best so he will not be humiliated and received the right treatment he need." I said that makes the man shake his head, not admitting defeat.

He sadly smiled at me. "Friends? Family? It all means nothing of you don't allow them to take responsibilities of their problem." He said and stepped forward to get close to me.

" You're too good girl. You can be a saint but sad to say. This world is not heaven." He said then leaves.

"His eyes can hypnotized, His kiss was a poison,
He is full of reason, I don't know his true color.
His eyes deceives that made me a thousand question,
It's bittersweet, The taste of his white lies flavor."
