This is a book about things that have happen to me in real life from middle school, elementary, and high school in that order. Most of every thing in this book is true comments to ask if an indent was true or not will be gladly answered I ask for feed back and opinion because this is my first book and I aspire to sell copies someday.

The relationships between loved ones might not always be pure and simple. 
The elders might have given the best resources to nurture their younger generation, but it could have been an investment, one that they were expecting returns from. 
It was not to say that all family relations would be so cold-hearted, but undeniably, such situations did exist.
Shi Qing smiled reluctantly. "Qiao Nan, don't you think that you've made it sound too horrifying?" She was just told that despite being in their uniforms, some of the soldiers in the army might not strive for excellence and there were grey areas that she did not know of in the past. Now, Qiao Nan was telling her that there was such an ugly side to the relationships between relatives. Like the soldiers in the army who just learned English, Shi Qing found it difficult to adapt.
"Horrifying?" Qiao Nan was amused. "I know you like to read. Let me introduce you to this author. You only have to read all of his books to know if I have been exaggerating."
"Do you mean the books written by Lu Xun[1]?"

Life was unlike doing problem sums, especially science topic that only had one correct answer. It was either correct or wrong. "Dad, I want to grow up. It's time that I grow up."
"There's a price to pay for growing up."
"But you can't protect me forever."
It was for the longest time before Shi Peng answered. "Well, in the afternoon, I will get people to send the books over. There's no harm in reading more books." In the end, Shi Peng relented.
Shi Qing's eyes lit up. "Dad, thank you." Thank you for caring and protecting her all this while, but she had to grow up.
"You have indeed grown up." Shi Peng sighed. He knew that Qing Qing thanked him not only for the books but also for being protective of her.
To Shi Peng, it was simply because he wanted his daughter to have those that he did not have. He did not expect that his daughter was able to stand up for herself and did not need his protection. Perhaps this was his greatest blessing.
While Qiao Nan was working hard on her homework in the afternoon, Shi Qing dumped a stack of books onto the table that Qiao Nan was at. The pen that Qiao Nan left on the table bounced from the weight of the books. 
"Hey, did your dad get you all the books from the library?" Qiao Nan curled the corners of her lips at the large pile of books on the table. "Even if you want to read up, you should take things slowly. With this stack of books, isn't your dad worried that you may be frightened off by them?"
"That's our style. People from the Shi family give their best efforts in whatever they do. Anyway, there's still three-third of the summer break left. I have all the time to finish these books. I can definitely finish them." After she finished reading these books, the first thing she wanted to figure out was none other than her family. 
She wanted to understand why her grandpa sided with Qiu Chenxi.

Shi Qing placed a few of the books in front of Qiao Nan. "These are yours."

"That will not do. We are good friends. We should share weals and woes." These books were theory-based and were dull and dry. She had to get someone to read it with her. It was boring to read books by herself. But it would be different if she had company.
Qiao Nan shot Shi Qing a sideways glance. "When did we become friends? I have no idea at all."
"Now you know."
"Since we must share weals and woes and seeing that I have so much homework to be done, shouldn't you help me with it?"
"Hey, you have done much more than me. When it comes to homework, I am so much behind you. If we are to share weals and woes, it's you who have to help me with it." Actually, she never did her summer break homework. She felt that it was a waste of time.
Qiao Nan felt like slapping Shi Qing. No matter what she said, Shi Qing would find ways to take advantage of her.

"Sure, next week it is then." I said to her.
"Do how are you liking our pool?" I asked them.
"It's really good and relaxing~" Yuki said as she sinked to the pool.
"Good, then sorry but I have to take Yunyun of your hands as right now we are having customers." I said to them.
"Really!!! Why didn't you tell me sooner!!" Yunyun said as she quickly head down to cook for the customer and I just followed and wave a goodbye to the girls in the pool.

"Alright, we had 37 customer just this day." I said to them, Megumi and the others are still here.
"And we need about 49,970 more customers in two months. And we can only open in Saturday." Yunyun said with a sad look as she start having thought that her food was the cause of how customer.
"Don't worry Yunyun it's not your cooking that's not good bit it's just the first day." Yuki comforted Yunyun.
"Yeah, it's just the first day, maybe next time we will have more customers." Garp said.
"Also, I have the feed back of some customers and they were good except for five couples. They said that everything was good except for the waitress." I read the paper of the feedback and look at Tama who looked at me.
"What did I do wrong?" She asked me and I read the paper.
"Well seems like the boyfriend's was uncomfortable since he keeps looking at you and when you bend they get more distracted and ignore their girlfriends. It's seems that one of the couples broke up when they left the restaurant." I said since I heard the couple had a fight in the front.
"Really?" They said at me.
"Yep."
Tama give me a victory sign with a 'sweet' smile.
"Really? Your proud of it?" I asked her with a raised eyebrow.
She only give me a sly smirk.
"Meow!! MeMeow!!" (Hey, what about me, no one bought some fortune from me!!)
"Don't worry, this is just the first day." I said to him.
"You understand him Fu-kun?" Megumi asked me.
"Yeah, his complaining since no one bought some fortune." I said to them sine they can't understand Happy.
"Aww... don't worry I'll buy some so don't be sad anymore ok?" Yuki said as she place the money and grab a fortune reading charm. She tear the lead and see her fortune.
"Let's see, 'Stop dreaming, your wish of having big boobs is really slim' WTF is this!!!" Yuki yelled as she read the charm.
"It's Furuichi idea so blame him!" Tama pointed at me and instantly Yuki was lifting me up in the ground as she grab my collar and raise me up.
"What the F*ck is this!?" 
"I don't know that's your fortune don't blame me!" I said to her.
"*giggle, this seems interesting let me try." Ryoko said as she paid and grab a fortune reading charm.
"Let's see 'Something inside has recently awakened nurture it as it will give great fortune.' Something inside me?" She read and have a confused face and she looked at me to tell what it means.
"Don't look at me, I don't know what that means." I said to her as Yuki bring me down while she was depressed for her fortune.
"Hmm~, Megumi why don't you try it." Ryoko suggested and Megumi followed and paid for a fortune reading charm and looked what's inside.
"Uh... 'The skill you have will never be used to its full potential if you stay as you are, change it achieve a better future.' This seems good." Megumi read.
"Hey! why don't they have good fortune while I get something ridiculous!!" Yuki yelled to me.
"Don't blame me, bit we also have some fortune enhancement charm and you only need thought what you want and tear it apart and burn it in there." I said as I pointed at the fireplace in the wall.
Yuki bought three fortune enhancement charm and prayed as she tear the Charmaine apart and burn it.
"Give me Big boobs, So I won't be made fun of anymore for having small breast!" Yuki said as she prayed to the fireplace.
"Does it actually work?" Ryoko asked me.
"Hahaha.. Don't know? why don't you try it so you'll see of it works." I said to her with a mysterious smile.
"Really?" She gave me an amused smile before buying a charm, pray, tear it apart and burn it.
"What about you? Want to try?" I asked Megumi and she was silent for a few minutes before she bought a charm, pray and  tears it apart and finally burning the charm.
"Please give me confidence." She silently said but we all hear her and we could only smile at her.

???: Furuichi do you have a new fish recipe? also erza is pissed and looking for you.

Lin Fan said, "Director Huang, since Master Wu had read your fortune ten years ago and said that it will be good, what else do you want to find out?"
Huang Guo Hui sighed, "Master Lin, you don't know how much difference ten years can make. I haven't been successful in the past two years. Hence, I would like Master Lin's guidance."
Lin Fan shook his head, "I'm sorry, I have really stopped reading fortunes."
Huang Guo Hui didn't expect Lin Fan to say that he had stopped fortune telling. He couldn't understand why someone like him with such powerful capabilities would stop reading fortunes. It was probably because he hadn't offered him any welfare benefits.
He may be lacking in some things but he definitely didn't lack money.
If he could use a sum of money to read the fortune of his future, he would definitely still be making a hefty profit in the long run.
Many people believed that fortune-telling is a myth. However, he really believed in it. Even when he was renovating his office, he would hire famous Fengshui masters to look at the placement of his furniture. Also, he would look at the time whenever he needed to sign a major contract or agreement.
He was really into these things and there weren't many that believed in it as much as he did.
Although a lot of wealthy people wouldn't say that they believe in these things, they secretly believed in it.
After all, if they were to tell this to the public, it wouldn't do any good to their reputation and status.
Huang Guo Hui wasn't anxious after Master Lin had rejected him. "Master Lin, could you take some time to consider it first? There will definitely be no problems with the reward. I will definitely satisfy you."
Lin Fan replied, "It isn't about the reward. Although my fortune-telling ability is 100% accurate, I have stopped reading fortunes. Therefore, please leave."
Zhao Zhong Yang was stunned.
He didn't expect Brother Lin to be so arrogant. Huang Guo Hui was a big shot that wanted him to read his fortune. If he were to approach any other fortune tellers, they would probably have gone crazy.
However, Brother Lin immediately waved his hand and said that he wasn't going to read his fortune. It seemed a little unbelievable.

It was incorrigible, really incorrigible.
It was just money. He had money too. Of course, he didn't have so much money with him. They were all with Wang Ming Yang.
Wu Tian He furrowed his brows. It wasn't because Lin Fan didn't want to read Huang Guo Hui's fortune. It was because his fortune-telling ten years ago allowed him to realize that Huang Guo Hui was someone that would haggle over every cent. He was good at pretending to be friendly but he almost always had ulterior motives and he disliked people disrespecting him.
Today, Master Lin actually rejected his request and this definitely caused him to be unhappy. With Huang Guo Hui's personality, he would probably not let him off so easily.
He was probably going to offend someone.
After Huang Guo Hui heard that Lin Fan said that his fortune telling was 100% accurate, he really believed it. However, the words that he said made him a little unhappy.
He still maintained his smile, "Master Lin, don't reject me first. Listen to my sincere request."
Then, Huang Guo Hui raised a finger.
"$10 million. I just need Master Lin to help me read my fortune for the next ten years. Also, I will give you a card. You can use it to get free electrical appliances in any SAIC Motor store. Are you satisfied with the offer?"
Zhao Zhong Yang's mouth widened. That was insane.
Firstly, ten million dollars was already considered to be a lot. It was an amount that an average person would never be able to earn in his or her entire lifetime.
However, the main thing was with the free electrical appliances.
SAIC Motor Corporation had many chain outlets. Did that mean that he could go to any shop and get free electrical appliance?
There were cars, etc…
If he were to go out with this card, he would definitely gain a lot of respect.
Wu Tian He looked at Huang Guo Hui. He knew that Huang Guo Hui wanted to have it his way.
When he read his fortune ten years ago, he received the most amount of money ever. He gave him three million dollars. He had never received any amount that was higher than that.
Lin Fan was calm, it was just ten million dollars. He could have asked Wang Ming Yang for a few hundred million dollars. Why would he be moved by ten million dollars?
As for the card, there was no need for that.
How many appliances would he need in his lifetime? Furthermore, he didn't lack money.
"Director Huang, it's okay. I really stopped reading fortunes already. If you really would like to have your fortune read, you can look for Wu Tian He. My main profession is to sell scallion pancakes," Lin Fan said.
Huang Guo Hui was a little unhappy but he still smiled, "Master Lin, don't be anxious. We can discuss it. Although I, Huang Guo Hui, am not the richest man in the country, I am still pretty reputable in the nation. As long as Master Lin would help to read my fortune, I would definitely not reject any of your requests in future."
Lin Fan was a little frustrated, "Director Huang, I have really stopped reading fortunes. Changing someone's life would cause my life to be shortened."
Huang Guo Hui smiled, "Master Lin, you're saying complete nonsense. I'm just asking for a session of fortune telling."
Then, Lin Fan was infuriated. Even though he was one of the top fifty wealthiest men in the nation, he wasn't going to give him any face, "Do you have a problem? I have already said I don't want to read your fortune. Do you not understand human language?"
"I said it. I'm not going to read your fortune."
After he said that, the shop became silent.
Lin Fan heaved a sigh of relief. He had been holding that in for some time. This man was so frustrating. He had already said that he wouldn't read his fortune but he was still trying to force him to do so.
Did he really think that he was easy to be bullied?
Zhao Zhong Yang stared at Brother Lin in shock. He was gasping internally.
That was insane. He literally didn't give him any face at all.
The bodyguards behind Huang Guo Hui were shocked. They didn't expect someone to have rejected Director Huang.
It was the first time they witnessed something like this.
They had seen people rejecting Director Huang before but they had never seen someone give him such little face.
Huang Guo Hui's eyes were filled with rage but he soon calmed himself down. He smiled awkwardly, "Master Lin, you must be kidding."
Lin Fan replied, "I'm not kidding. I have really stopped reading fortunes. Alright, let me tell you why. I don't read the fortunes of strangers."
Huang Guo Hui replied, "Master Lin, we can gradually become friends if that's okay."
Lin Fan waved his hand, "Director Huang, it's okay. Just go back. With your current status and reputation, you don't have to believe in such things."
"Furthermore, I choose my friends and it is not dependent on whether the other party would like to be my friend. It depends on whether I would like to be their friend."
After Lin Fan said that, someone called him from outside the shop.
"Little Boss, is it convenient to speak to you right now?" A shop owner was blocked by the bodyguards and he shouted at Master Lin.
Lin Fan said, "Why are you blocking people? This is my shop, not yours. Elder Liang, please come in."
Elder Liang was holding a piece of paper and he stared at those people curiously. He smiled, "Little Boss, my nephew is going to get married. I took both of their eight birth characters and would like Elder Wu to see if the date is auspicious."
Lin Fan replied, "Let me have a look."
When Elder Liang heard that Lin Fan was going to look at it personally, he jumped in joy. "Wow, Little Boss, you must be in a good mood to look at it personally."

In the first ever competition organised for trolls, all the other contestants lost. The crowd exclaimed, "Brother, you're so good at trolling." 
Lin Fan replied, "But I've never been trolling..."

Coming out of his room Alexander found himself in what would be best described as a common area for the tent. There were two sofas in the middle of the room surrounding a low table. On one side of the room there was a smaller dining table and on the other there was a desk and chair. At the moment Alice was sitting in one of the sofas. She turned towards Alexander seeing him coming out.
"I am glad the clothes fit you so well. It was quite lucky that one of the majors had insisted on bringing his charge. Otherwise you would have had to wear something that would have been too large. Now please come and have a seat."
Alexander slowly made his way over and sat down in the sofa opposite of Alice. She indicate for him to have some of the tea or snacks laid out on the low table. He was feeling quite nervous at this moment and didn't want to show it. Deciding that it would be easier to appear normal by just sitting back in the sofa instead of going for any of the snacks.
"As I said earlier you will be adopted into my family. Unfortunately I can't send you to Bryn for a few days. We are planning to do another push soon, so I can't arrange for the travel you see. From what I heard from Doctor Linden you are from Tiramdal in the Duchy of Holther. Seeing as you were an orphan I assume you didn't learn how to read or write?"
"Yes Lady Firestorm. I never learned to read or write either in the orphanage or when I worked at an inn later."
"You are to be my grandchild, no need for any of that lady stuff. Alice, grandma, granny or if you feel like you have to be polite madam also works. And when you get angry at me just call me old hag."
Alexander's mouth dropped open at the last sentence from Alice.
"Hahaha, look at your face. I just needed you to relax. So you were at an orphanage. What kind of orphanage and how long did you stay there?"
"Hem, hem… The orphanage was run by a monastery, I think it was called the Saint Miranda Monastery or something. Just around the time I had been there for six years the baron cut their funding and they had to send away the children. I followed a group of older kids to Tiramdal and ended up being caught by an innkeeper trying to steal food. Then I worked for him for a while to pay for the stolen items. After that he was kind enough to let me continue working. I stayed there until around two months ago when I heard the army was recruiting."
"I see, so how old are you now? I know that the Verenden army has a minimum age of sixteen but you are clearly younger. Especially since seeds blossom between the age of 12 and 15."
"I think that I should be around 14 or so. We didn't really celebrate birthdays or anything at the orphanage nor at the inn."
"Lets say 14 and 5 months then hmm. That way you can have a proper birthday next year when you turn 15. But back to the main issue of you not knowing how to read or write. Since it will be a few days before I can send you on your way you will be starting to learn to read at the very least. Hopefully you will even start some writing by the time I can send you. Since you already know Doctor Linden I will ask him to help you with that, at the same time you can help him with small tasks. Can't really have you just sitting around in the tent trying on your own. Of course the reading and writing will be in Lareen so you will also be learning to speak it."
Getting to learn how to read and write, despite it being in another language from what he could speak, was a goal finally in reach. After having been in this new world for those 14 or so years and not being able to write down anything or read any books was not fun. Alexander would do his best to learn to read and write quickly. Since he already knew how to read and write in languages in his previous life, it would hopefully be easier to do so now. 
"I will have Doctor Linden come here as soon as possible, so you can just sit here and wait. I will also have someone bring some food, I imagine you are starting to get quite hungry. Since I have many duties to attend to I will hopefully get to see you in the evening."
Indicating for Alexander to remain seated Alice stood up and walked out of the tent. Once she had left Alexander felt a bit more relaxed. So he dared to take some of the snacks laid out on the table. He grabbed what looked to be a biscuit of some sort. It was quite sweet and a bit dry. Grabbing another biscuit he found this one to be much saltier, and would probably have tasted better with some cheese on it. 
Whilst Alexander was eating the snacks, or more like gorging on them, someone entered the tent. He didn't notice them until a plate of food was put down on the table besides the remaining snacks. Looking up he could see a woman in her early twenties. Seeing him looking at her she smiled and nodded towards the food. She then proceeded to grab the plate of snacks and the tea set before turning too leave.
The food that had been brought looked quite good. It seemed to be a dish made of potatoes, some form of steak, some greens and brown sauce. In addition to the plate of food a glass of water had also been placed on the table. Even though he felt like he had eaten a lot of snacks his stomach growled at the sight of the food. He quickly grabbed the fork and knife and dug in. The food felt heavenly compared to what he had eaten so far in his life. The steak almost melted in his mouth. And the sauce was just perfect. One would assume he was partaking in a speed eating competition by the look of how quickly he finished the food.
Alexander leaned back in the sofa once the food was gone. He felt like he might explode if he was presented with anything more. If this was how his life was going to be, or better, he didn't mind at all going along with everything. Good food, learning new and old skills, and perhaps a new family. He couldn't have wished for something so good a mere day ago.
It wasn't long after he finished his food that Doctor Linden came to the tent. 
"Greetings Alexander. You seem extremely well considering everything. I must say I didn't expect at all that this would be the outcome of your sudden healing. Though I am rather glad that someone your age don't have to be a soldier any longer. Now, today I am not going to have you help me with anything but we will start on your reading and writing. We will also see if we can get you started on speaking Lareen." 
Doctor Linden then indicated for Alexander to follow him over to the desk. He then brought over a chair from the dining table and grabbed a book from a trunk near the desk. He also grabbed a quill, some ink and a stack of paper. Setting all of it on the desk. 
"I think the easiest way we can do this is to go through the alphabet and have you associate the sounds with how a letter is written. It might be a bit difficult, especially since we will be doing the sounds in Lareen, but I believe you are capable of this."
Alexander could do nothing but nod at his words. They then started going through the different letters of the Lareen alphabet. In some ways he felt that the script used in writing when paired with the sound reminded him of the Latin alphabet Each sound had for the most part a letter associated with it. There were of course some exceptions to this, but that wasn't unexpected as the same could be said for English. 
They continued with just the alphabet for what must have been two hours. After that they did some simple reading exercises where Alexander tried to sound out words. Even though he knew how to read and write in English it was quite difficult. At this time each word was just a collection of letters. But it didn't take long for him to say a word correctly from its written form. 
In many ways, the fact that he had never learned how to read or write in Vereen helped. He didn't have any associations between words and letters from before thus could with more ease associate them with Lareen sounds. They continued with this mix of reading, writing and speaking Lareen until it got dark outside.
"I must say Alexander, you have a real talent for this. My son back in Miran took from the age of 4 until age 10 to properly learn how to read, write and speak properly. Though you are still far from the level he was at when he got to age 10, you are making very good progress. Tomorrow I think I have some ideas how we can improve your writing and reading at a greater speed, I will also be almost only speak Lareen to force you to learn."
"Thank you for helping him Nicklas, how about you join us for supper before heading off?"
Both Alexander and Doctor Linden had been so occupied by their task that they didn't notice Alice coming back. 
"No problem at all Grand Magus. I would love to join you for supper."
All three of them made their way to the dining table and sat down. The same woman from earlier in the day and a man arrived just as they had seated themselves. They carried three plates of food, two glasses of what might be wine and a glass of juice. The food this time was a heavy beef soup and some white bread with butter. 
During the meal Linden and Alice chatted in Lareen, making it rather hard for Alexander to follow the conversation. Of course they knew he wouldn't be able to participate but noted that it was also to help him pick up the language quicker. Luckily for Alexander the meal didn't take too long to finish and Linden bid his farewell and departed just before the plates were taken away.
"It sounds from what Niklas had to say that you are progressing already in your studies. I am very glad to hear that, I hadn't really expected you to make any progress before heading off to Bryn. You should head of to sleep now so you can get up as early as possible tomorrow. There won't be anyone to wake you and you don't really have any time by which you must be awake. But I do hope you wake up early anyway When you do wake up, just head outside the tent and talk to one of the soldiers. Just ask them to send for some food and for Niklas. The current guards I have understand Vereen, though I hope you try to speak in Lareen. Have a good sleep Alex."
Alice smiled at Alexander before leaving the table and heading towards the only other door in the tent besides his. Feeling quite tired he listened to what she had said and headed to his room. There he quickly got undressed and got into the bed. Laying down was magical, a proper mattress pillow and duvet. How he had missed that feeling. They were just like he remembered from his previous life, perhaps even better. The bed was so good that he quickly fell asleep looking forward to what tomorrow would bring.

Whats the worst way you can imagine dying? By that I don't mean most painfull, but most embarassing. For Ryan this turned out to be drowning in a bathtub just after having passed his doctoral defence. 

At least something good came out of it. Well, I guess getting laughed at by a god might not be considered that good.. But getting to reincarnate, with all you memories, now that is good... Ryan thinks so at least.
