This book will contain sayings and learnings that I have encountered and learned throughout the years.

This is just me writing down what is on my head.

Upon finding out that Vladimir was sashaying out of the shop, Zhang Zian broke down inside. The f*ck… You can do it this way too?
He just saw it squatting down at the stairs outside of the shop, and shook its front paw that it had used to punch to wall. "Hu… God d*mn, it's quite tough. No matter how tough it is, it is just a paper tiger!"
When the other elfins saw what happened, they were almost so shocked their jaws dropped!
"Ga ga! What's with this situation? Are my eyes messed up?" Richard raised its wings and rubbed its eyes.
This is not scientific! That light punch actually managed to pierce through the restriction set by the game?
"Master, your facial expression doesn't seem that good…" Li Kun noticed his expression and reminded him, "It's like you have eaten a few flies…"
"Don't bullsh*t! Right, these past few days when I was not here, did you both stir up trouble?" Zhang Zian asked.
"No, how could anything happen? We just went to play at the seaside a few times," Wang Qian and Li Kun solemnly promised. "We are all good citizens that follow the law before we are done training. We won't stir up trouble."
"Is this a stray cat? It looks like a British Shorthair, but it also doesn't really look like…" Wang Qian pointed at Vladimir.
"No, this is a cat I brought back from a friend's house in the capital. He didn't want to keep it anymore, so I took it," Zhang Zian blurted without thinking. "And also, it isn't a British Shorthair. It's probably a cross breed of Russian Blue.
The Russian Blue was quite rare in China, and the price was quite expensive. It would not be given to others normally, but if it was a cross breed of Russian Blue, then it was believable.
"Russian Blue… Ah, no wonder…" Wang Qian was angry. "I thought it was a stray cat."
"If you have nothing to do then quickly go and do you work." Zhang Zian waved his hand to chase them away.
Wang Qian and Li Kun stuck out their tongues, scattering in every direction. They asked in their hearts why it was that as soon as master came back, his mood was not good.
"Vladimir, you… you really managed to get out? How did you do it?" Zhang Zian squatted down, trying to touch the position where the invisible wall was. Of course, he could not feel anything.
"Haha, it's very simple! As long as there is a will in your heart and you have a metal fist, you can do it!" Vladimir said freely.
"A metal fist and whatever can be put aside. What kind of will do you have?" he continued to ask.

Zhang Zian seemed to understand it a bit. When normal people did things, they would more or less have a bit of doubt, feeling as though they couldn't do it. They thought that they couldn't manage to learn it, or felt as though they did not have the ability… but Vladimir was different. In its heart, it did not have any bit of doubt towards itself. It strongly believed that what it was doing was right. It strongly believed that its thought was the real truth. It strongly believed that it could do it.

What kind of strong spirit was this?
The only problem was that he hoped that what it was doing and what it was thinking was right. Otherwise, that kind of strong spirit doing the wrong thing… It might even cause greater trouble than the Holy Cat Statue.

He remembered that in Pi's Untitled book there was another Buddhist Hymn that was like a prediction: "The golden monkey makes a vigorous stick with his great stick and the sky is crystal clear for ten thousand miles. Today, we call for the Great-sage Sun, but only the evil cat reappears again!"
Although Great-Sage Sun was in a legend, it was quite a famous character that warded off evil spirits. There was nothing wrong, right?
The gold monkey had to be changed to a blue cat, and the Great-Sage Sun had to be changed to the Warding Off Evil Cat. That would be more suitable.
Thinking about it carefully, the punch of Vladimir was probably not a normal punch by physics. After all, both the punch speed and force were not very fast or strong. No matter how great it was, it could not go against the laws of Physics. So was it some kind of… belief attack?
If it were an attack based on physics, then Old Time Tea was still the best.
After interacting with Vladimir for such a short time, he found that sometimes it acted very old, but sometimes, it was very childish. For example, before it did its action, it yelled out the name of the move. The most unique point was that… it liked to use famous sayings from famous people.

That was good. Being cautious of strangers was not bad. It was because the stray cats were not cautious of people that they were abused by them.

These were the last words that superhuman Oberon left behind before disappearing from the world forever. Revered as one of the two strongest superhumans to have ever lived, Oberon left these words in hope that when he is gone another superhuman will be born to take his place.

Before Oberon left, Dion, the second superhuman to have achieved the realm beyond god, also stepped forth and left behind some words before disappearing.

Countless experts have looked through these words and analyzed them thoroughly, but not a single one of them has been able to complete the phrase and become an existence greater than the gods. From primal spirits that are as old as the world itself to kings of ancient empires that cover hundreds of thousands of kilometers. 

After thousands of years passed by every single top expert in the world have given up in the face of these words and decided to pursue their own path, however the legend still remains. The day that someone is able to complete either of the two sayings he will be reborn as an existence greater than a god.

In a world where strength reins supreme, everyone is desperately looking for ways to increase their power to the next level. Humanity's superhumans, individuals who have unlocked their superpower, are the only line of defense against the many dangers, but even they aren't able to freely roam the world.

Superhumans enjoy many benefits, and only by becoming a superhuman can you and your family be safe, as for those who are fated to be regular people they will never amount to anything great in their life. Ordinary people can only survive with the protection of the strong, as such they are often tasked with the most laborious and menial of jobs.

However, even among the superhumans there are clear distinctions based on their superpower and aptitude. People who unlock superpowers such as telekinesis, healing, and teleportation are often seen as those with great fortune. Anyone who unlocks any of these superpowers will have an aptitude of at least C-.

Aptitude is a measure of how quickly your superpower can grow, and even those with a great aptitude but a trash superpower can become strong with enough time. The same can be said about having a trash aptitude but a strong superpower, however these cases are very rare. A strong superpower will usually be followed by a strong aptitude.

Only by having a strong aptitude and a strong superpower will one be able to become one of the protectors of humanity, as for those with neither quality they can only be used as canon fodder for the rest. This may cruel, but it's necessary in order for humanity to survive.

Some will die and some will live, only when you're strong will you be able to decide which one you are.

Just because one was born as trash, the bottom of the barrel, the servant dogs of the strong doesn't meant that things will always stay that way, or at least that's what Damien believes. 

Born with the strong superpower of telekinesis Daniel was cursed with one of the lowest aptitude in all of history. Mocked as trash among superhumans, Daniel was no different than an ordinary person. However even when the entire world believed he was trash, Damien was never going to give up.

His words were like spinach to Popeye the sailor man. Although at first they were dejected and frail, Lin Qian's eyes brightened up instantly.
She found it hard to believe what she had just heard. The sales were still very low in the morning, but now it was enough for Li Zhicheng to say "not disappointing," so did it mean that the sales were… good?
Over two thousand? No, Li Zhicheng definitely would not be satisfied with that. Three thousand? As far as four thousand even?

Xue Mingtao, Liu Tong, Gu Yanzhi, and the other higher-ups were there too, sitting in the room chatting. When they glanced their way, all of them had smiles on their faces.
Lin Qian could not wait any longer. She bent over the computer screen of the co-worker closest to her. "How were today's sales? I wasn't here during the afternoon so I don't know."
This colleague had grown closer to Lin Qian over the past few days, and now her face was as brilliant as a sunflower. She turned the computer screen towards Lin Qian. "Miss Lin, see for yourself!"
Lin Qian saw the number on the screen. She couldn't believe her eyes.
"Seven thousand eight hundred fifty-three?!"
The crowd burst into laughter. Everyone started speaking at once.
"Yup! Around two or three hours after the CEO made the public announcement, only then did the sales increase rapidly—five hundred, a thousand, and then more. Good Lord! The orders that are coming in now can only be delivered after three months, but the number is still increasing!"
Another person added, "Miss Lin's online posts have contributed greatly too!"
"I can die without regret now!" A young lad exclaimed. "I really can die without regret now!" 
Lin Qian felt her forehead twitch with nerves.
F*ck! This happiness came way too suddenly! Is God finally deciding to be fair for once?

In the near future, we can predict that their market of mid-range priced products will be encroached upon by us. And the sales of our other products will slowly recover as well." He paused again. Staring at everyone, he finished off with, "Finally, we've saved Aida."
A plain speech delivered in a calm tone. Nothing he expressed was exceptionally provoking, yet everyone was stunned—he had used the term "we've saved Aida." For some unknown reason, this term made everyone's chest tighten. Despite looking grave, another type of emotions was silently brewing. 
Nobody spoke.
After a short silence, everyone seemed to finally come to their senses again. They began cheering, clapping, and dropping the documents in their hands to hug each other.
Lin Qian actually teared. While Li Zhicheng spoke, she gazed at him the whole time. It was a simple and manly speech, but why did it make her feel full of affection and pride for him while listening to?
Damn it! What kinds of feelings did she have for him now? Why did she feel gratified to see his growth? And why did she have mixed feelings of happiness and nervousness?
Noticing her gaze, Li Zhicheng turned around and looked at her. Lin Qian, returning to her normal battle mode, automatically wanted to say something to butter him up; suddenly she felt her arm being squeezed. A tall, young male engineer beside her pulled her close and hugged her tightly. "Miss Lin!" he laughed. 
Before Lin Qian could respond, he had let go and went on to hug another senior engineer.
Lin Qian grinned; she gave out a few high-fives and hugs to the people around, celebrating their success. Hehehe! Lin Qian thought to herself. From now on, the IT department is considered one of my allies.
She turned around, still deep in thought, and saw the executives joining in with the engineers too. Li Zhicheng shook the hand of the engineer who had hugged her, murmuring something; the engineer beamed with pride. Li Zhicheng let go of him, shook a few more hands, then he turned and stood in front of Lin Qian.
Lin Qian was in a great mood; without thought, she extended her hand with a smile, openly buttering, "Long live the boss!"
Li Zhicheng looked extremely slender under the light; beneath his vibrant short hair, his gaze was notably gentle and profound. Feeling her arm being squeezed, Lin Qian was pulled into his embrace before she could react. His hand gave her a gentle pat on the back, just like everyone else, as a sign of encouragement.
Lin Qian's heart was thumping. She could clearly smell his faint scent. His hand, holding her wrist, was as strong as iron. His other hand on her back, his fingertips pressing down, tightly held her against him.
The bystanders were all busy talking and laughing, oblivious to their moment. They did not appear out of the ordinary.
"Lin Qian," he gently whispered in her ear. "I'm glad I didn't disappoint you."

Today was just the beginning. By midnight, the day's total sales had passed 8,500.
The second day, they reached 12,000.
A few days later, their sales gradually dropped down and stabilized; but they still maintained a high sales level unattainable by similar online flagship stores.
By the end of the year, the total annual sales of Aida ranked number one in China for mid-range priced leather bag. Their sales were more than the combined sales of those in second, third, fourth, and fifth place. Exactly as predicted by Li Zhicheng, even though the sales of other types of suitcases weren't as good as previous years, they gradually recovered too, following the lead of the main brand. At the end of the year, Aida's total annual turnover approached close to SMQ's, completely restoring the company.
But this all happened later that year. They were still celebrating after that first night.
By the time Lin Qian reached her home it was quite late. After the rollercoaster ride of emotions that day, she didn't have the energy to sort out the mass of chaotic thoughts in her head. She quickly took a shower and just as she was lying on her bed about to drift off to sleep, the long-awaited call from Lin Mochen came.
During this period of time, Lin Qian hadn't called him and vice versa. The siblings had achieved a silent agreement that, during this life-or-death period of Aida's, if she didn't mention anything he would not ask.
Now that everything was over, after the storm came the calm, and the situation was peaceful.
Lin Qian, lying on the bed, lazily asked, "Brother, what's up?"

Had her brother just said "suit the action to the word?"
"Suit the action to the word" was a proverb that originated from the story of Shang Yang, a politician during the Warring State Period who had earned the trust of citizens by fulfilling his promise. The gist of the story was to earn trust from the public by fulfilling promises made, regardless of how ridiculous they were.
This saying was not used that often anymore. But Lin Qian had come across it not too long ago, so when he brought it up now she immediately remembered it.
It had been her first day as Li Zhicheng's assistant. She was on the balcony. He was reading The Art of War by Sun Tzu. He had scribbled some words on a piece of paper. Hadn't some of them been, "suit the action to the word?"
As she was deep in thought, Lin Mochen said lightly, "Silly girl, can you see it now? You were talking about being his teacher, but he was capable of designing a perfectly-interlocking plan to fool a much stronger opponent. He is at my level. You should be more vigilant with your speech and actions from now on. Learn from him. Don't embarrass me."
Having said that, he hung up, leaving a befuddled Lin Qian.
What did brother say just now?
Lin Qian felt her forehead twitch with nerves; her brain wide awake, her thoughts rambling. The drowsiness left her. Brother's words and that familiar saying "suit the action to the word" filled her brain with a marvelous yet unbelievable thought.
Actually, throughout her journey with Li Zhicheng, this possibility had been long embedded in her mind. However, every time her beliefs inclined towards it, she vetoed it. How is it possible? 
Her heart beat vigorously against her chest. She jumped down from the bed, grabbed her backpack, and pulled out her notebook. She remembered seeing him write down a few sayings the other day. Out of her mentality of needing to understand her boss, she had recorded them in the notebook. 
As she flipped through her notebook from cover to cover, her brain was struck by a sudden realization, connecting everything.
If it were as Brother said, and everything had been planned by Li Zhicheng, then everything that had happened at Aida since she'd started needed to be reconsidered.
So, his initial plan of fighting for orders from Ming Sheng Group had been a decoy to lure SMQ in. His purpose? Yes—he'd proposed harsh terms for the tender: supplying at a price only 30-percent of what they used to selling in the market, and delivering everything within three months. That had been his objective! Restricting the price and the stock of SMQ at the market of high-quality suitcase-style bags, so that they could not snipe Aida. 
Had his target always been SMQ's large mid-range leather suitcase market? Or was he just feinting an attack before truly attacking the other side instead?
And the spy? Had he already been aware of the spy beforehand and had just used him to his advantage? Even getting him sent to jail in the end?
Yes, the 20 million. Why had he fixed the number of lucky draw winners at 2,000 people? She didn't think clearly about it before, but now as she recalled, the 20 million from selling the land was just enough to cover everyone's prize money! Lin Qian held on to the notebook, staring blankly as she sat on the side of her bed.
She felt something she couldn't quite describe. It was sudden, shocking, befuddling… and unfamiliar.
That was it: unfamiliar.
She had never really seen through him. Not once.
Li Zhicheng's face popped up again in her mind. But this time, it wasn't the glimpse of his silence on the train, it wasn't the gentleness when he had given her a piggyback ride through the melted snow. It was his gaze, dark as a winter's night, when he had been sitting beside her earlier tonight. He had been staring at her, his tone firm. 
"What I want, I already see, and it's just within reach."


Lin Qian used to believe that her Mr. Right needed to be handsome and reliable. An elite man in the business world who was extremely influential. A person that Lin Qian would admire, for nothing would be impossible for him.

However, when she finds her love, she realizes that what attracts her is his calmness, silence, persistence and loyalty. She loves him so much that she is willing to stand by him to face the schemes and cruelty of the business world. She just wishes to spend the best time of her life with him, regardless of what the future will be.

There was nothing special about the first time they met each other. Who knew that such an ordinary encounter would be the start of their glamorous time together? If you are looking for a light and sweet romance with a thrilling story line, then this is definitely the right book for you.

Why do people feel sad?
People feel sad because they are sad.
It was hard for the spring wind to pass through White Town, and it's equally hard for a great man to bypass beauty.
It's hard to bypass affection, and it's even harder to bypass life and death.
Jing Jiu felt sad neither because he was a coward nor because he had seen that person and recalled many events in his former life.
That person was special to him, yet he would kill him with one swing of the sword if he could, simply because he was that person.
"We will lose all the connections with the world in the end and be accompanied by loneliness."
Jing Jiu said this to Zhao Layue while caressing the cat on his chest, gazing at the starry night sky and sensing the desolateness of the Sword of the Universe.
Zhao Layue didn't say anything because she was very sad at the moment. She had the same feeling as when she was at the Plum Meeting back then, sensing he was departing this world gradually.
To live a life in this world, one couldn't avoid experiencing changed situations, changed hearts and death in the very end.
Even if the Cultivation practitioners could live a long life, or even achieve immortality, they couldn't avoid those changes. On the other hand, their longevity helped them have a clearer notion of changes and departures.
One had to be relentless if they wished to step on the path toward heaven; otherwise, anyone would go mad in the end.
Even if Jing Jiu had already passed this barrier, he still couldn't help but feel lonely once in a while during his journey toward heaven.
This was the very reason why he felt sad, mournful, weak and furious.
It was not a bad thing.
Like the sap from the wounds of a tree becoming precious gemstones in the end, the Cultivation practitioners could find a peace of mind and a tranquil Dao Heart in loneliness.
Many Cultivation practitioners sought for such experiences on purpose in an attempt to acquire a deeper comprehension; it was the goal of the disciples of experiencing the mortal world at the Fruit Formation Temple.
However, it would take a long time and a great deal of pain to overcome and eventually accept it.

Jing Jiu was capable of letting go of anything, no matter whether it was emotion or an object, no matter how significant they were.
He had pushed the sensation of loneliness out of his mind, neither feeling sad nor angry. He began to calculate what would happen next in a calm fashion.
Like Ada had said that Jing Jiu wasn't such a person in his former life. How come he had become so stubborn and insisted on finding Taiping by thinking of so many methods and going to so many places? During the turmoil of the Fruit Formation Temple three hundred years ago, the late emperor suffered a severe injury inflicted by the Immortal Taiping and died a few years later; and the old monk with the highest status and Cultivation state at the Fruit Formation Temple died instantly, forced to reincarnate as the adopted son of a mountain demon.

The disciples of the West Ocean Sword Sect suffered heavy casualties in the places where that sword light passed. The divine animal of the sect, the Flying Whale, had become a huge heap of meat, sinking to the deep bottom of the ocean.
The Flying Whale was truly huge, so his body was not complete eaten by those small fish at the bottom of the ocean after so many years. The rotten flesh of his corpse gave off a terrible odor, which came up to the surface of the ocean along with the tiny air bubbles, dissipating into the air.
The smell was so awful as to upset people's noses and eyes. Not even the formations could make the smell go away. The disciples of Bihu Peak, who were guarding the Islands of West Ocean, were troubled by the odor immensely.
The peak master, Chen Youtian, had participated in the meeting of selecting the sect master and gone to the battle of the Cold Mountain; he was back at the West Ocean now. He was well aware of how the elders and disciples felt about the situation. Though this patch of ocean in front of them was expansive, the smell here was far inferior to Blue Lake on Bihu Peak, and the spiritual energy here, though it was not too bad, was far inferior to that on Green Mountain.
Chen Youtian sighed as he wondered when that young sect master would call these people back to Green Mountain.
As he was thinking of this issue, a flash of red sword light appeared on the horizon. He, after a brief moment of bewilderment, led all the disciples hurriedly receiving them.

Haizhou City was built more than ten thousand years ago, and there were a great many collected books either in the county schools or at the houses of wealthy merchants, not to mention there were innumerable log books about Haizhou.
It was almost an impossible task to procure all these books in a short time.
However, the West Ocean was the territory of Green Mountain now; so the locals couldn't say no to the sect master of Green Mountain.
Three days later, Chen Youtian led the disciples of Bihu Peak bringing the sword boat fully loaded with books back to Shaoming Island, which landed on the clear-cut flat ground on the mountain.
Those old books had a bad smell no matter how well they were preserved; the mixed odor of the old books and the rotten meat made Ada sneeze several times in a row.
Jing Jiu paid no mind to Ada's strife. He raised his hand and generated a gentle wind to help with turning the pages of the books, reading thousands of these books all at the same time.
It didn't take long before he found the person he was looking for in a log book of a town in Haizhou County and an anthology of miscellaneous affairs.
A middle-aged insane man suddenly appeared in that town more than three thousand years ago.
The middle-aged insane man ran everyday at the seashore first thing when he woke up. He claimed that he needed to get slimmer by running since his clothes were too tight for him, and he also claimed that he wished to get stronger so that he wouldn't be bullied so easily during a confrontation.
After he worked out a good sweat and was short of breath by running, he would go to a small tavern on the outskirts of the town to grab a few drinks.
The middle-aged insane man took a fancy to the scorpion fish and rice wine of Penglai Island. Yet, he had low tolerance for alcohol and usually got drunk after a few cups.
When he was drunk, he would repeat the same words over and over again.
"Don't go out."
"Don't go out!"

The middle-aged insane man wouldn't be qualified to be recorded in the logs of the town for his peculiar behaviors.
It was recorded in the logs because he drank a bit too much one day and spoke more than usual that day.
He grabbed the hands of the tavern owner, his eyes red, and told him incessantly, "It's on fire outside; don't go out!"
The tavern owner knew him very well, so he protested with a smile, "Since it's on fire, why don't we go out and put it out?"
"There is no way we can put out the fire," the middle-aged insane man said earnestly. "We'll have a chance of surviving it by staying in here."

After a long moment of silence, the middle-aged insane man suddenly said, "Now that I have already revealed the heavenly secret, I'll have to do something."
Having said that, he strode to the other end of the street in one step, and then leapt up into the sky. After that, he had never been seen in the small town.

All he had left behind was a secret instruction book on sword work, which helped Nan Qü and the Foggy Island become famous.
Jing Jiu opened the Sayings of the Sword Immortals again. This time he could comprehend the meanings of those seemingly absurd statements better than before.
On the same page where Nan Qü wrote those words, there were two statements, which should be written by the middle-aged insane man.
"I'm lonely in heaven."
"And I'm lonely in the human world."

Meng Chuan carefully read the biographies. Many of these were written by large clans about a particular ancestor of theirs for publicity! Some of them were independently written by commoners because the Godfiend in question was truly famous. Some of the most famous Godfiends' biographies had dozens of versions. Some sects had voluntarily written down biographies for Godfiends. The most exaggerated ones were the autobiographies. The Godfiends who wrote those hoped that their descendants would remember their deeds.
These biographies are mainly telling stories. Sometimes, only a few sentences in one book are useful to my cultivation. It's even possible that I can't find anything useful in a single biography. Also, some of these stories are highly credible and some are less trustworthy. They need to be classified accordingly.

Family teachings were left behind by Godfiends. Generally speaking, they were matters Godfiends believed were extremely important.
The more he recorded, the more shocked he became.
Aim for the skies; not doing so will only result in mediocrity. It's indeed right to learn from the most powerful Godfiends in history! However, the biographies are just the tip of an iceberg. Without a strong foundation, it's very easy for one to go astray. Meng Chuan realized this because he noticed that many family's teachings emphasized one's cultivation foundation.
All members of the family were to enter the Dao Academies and receive a complete education in cultivation.
This was because the Dao Academies were established by the oldest sect in the world—Archean Mountain.
